follow up. He's getting ghosted by a woman named Jen
So in a few minutes, we're gonna call her and
see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and
maybe get him a second date. But first, William, how
long has it been since you heard from Jen Man?
Speaker 3 (00:21):
At this point, it feels like forever. It's been weeks.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Okay, weeks.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
I don't know what's going on. Okay, but date. I mean, look,
I liked her. I like her. She's just one of
those chicks that just seem better than me, that would
help me become a better man. Okay, everything about her,
everything about her seems sophisticated.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Seems something. All right, we'll tell us about your date.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Well, you know, like, you know, I was trying, you know,
as I said, she's kind of sophisticated, beautiful woman, very elegant,
and you know, so I wanted to do something nice
and I don't usually do nice things, go and do
nice things, and so I was like, oh, let's go
to the jazz bar. So it's kind of like a
little cute, little quait wine slash jazz bar, you know,
nice and dim and dark. And I was just like, yeah,
(01:13):
this is the vibe. If I can't win it with this,
then I don't know what else. Well then she's ordering stuff,
and you know, like I was thinking I would order,
but you know, she's the type of woman who was
just round the back like no, I want this, this
and this this, And I'm like, okay, all right, girl,
I like that. You know you're taking some charges too,
you know what you want. She ordered like a stracutery board.
(01:36):
I grew up on government cheese, so for me, black
cheese chopped up, you know, some bologney. She's ordering all
this stuff. I mean, honey, combs are coming out. There's
there's four different type of olives. I'm looking. I'm trying
to act like I'm cool. Oh yeah, I do this
every day. Get that baby, get this. It's totally fine.
(01:57):
But at the end of the day, like realistic, I'm like, well, crap,
I didn't know all this comes with a board of cheese.
Looking at the price too, like you know, I'm like,
just some cheese. I mean, look, I was enjoying it,
and you know, we have a great conversations. We're laughing.
I even caught her like looking at me and feeling
(02:20):
some type of way, and so I'm thinking, what good
the dinner's going. Well, we're enjoying the music. And you know,
you see you see those movies where the girl has
like the hair over their face and you just move
the hair behind the air and it's kind of like
a smooth way. Yeah, that didn't happen. That happened. She
had like some mustard on her face. Just let me
(02:43):
just go ahead and wipe this off. You and I
can be smooth looking. I'll take care of you. Been
I didn't know the mustard was not mustard, it was makeup.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Hello.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
I'm like, I wiped it off, and I was looking
at my thumb. I'm like, oh, that's my bustard. You know.
She was real cool about it. She didn't get embarrassed.
She was real cool about it.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
So she just let you like touch her face though.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
She just sat there and was like, he's coming in
to touch my face, and she was She didn't budge.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, you know, I didn't really. I was so focused
on trying to be cool. I don't know if she
she did have an issue with it, but she seemed
cool like after when she she laughed it off, and
we're still having a great time. And you know, day
the night, we gave her a hugain and you know,
I didn't get the kiss, but I definitely got the
hug and a hug so great. She said she enjoyed herself.
(03:35):
So I called her, you know, being a good guy,
called her the day after and kept on calling.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
And did she say anything about meeting up again?
Speaker 4 (03:46):
When you guys laughed, You know, I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
But I mean, but at the same time, she said
she had a really really good time. Yeah. I was
already thinking about take her, meet her my mama eventually.
This type of you like, oh, I can bring her home.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
All right, Well, we'll play a song come back, and
then call her and see if she'll tell us why
she's ghosting you and maybe get you a second date. Okay,
all right, we'll get your first day follow up next friend,
will if your first day follow up, if you're just
joining us. William is on the phone and he's getting
ghosted by a woman named Jen. So we're about to
call her and see if she'll tell us why she's
ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But first, William,
(04:25):
why don't you break down your situation for us again
real quick.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
I just had a quick date, you know. I took
a woman to a jazz wine bar, had a good time,
made some secutary, you know, and I wiped off some
mustard that that was on our face. And it wasn't mustard,
it was makeup. She laughed about it. She laughs about it.
(04:50):
We had a good time, like she said, she enjoyed herself,
gave me a great embracefle hug and that was it.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
All right?
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Well, are you ready for us to call her? I mean,
you liked her so much, he said, you to you're
home to your mom.
Speaker 7 (05:00):
Yeah, this is the energy.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
All right, here we go. I'm gonna call her.
Speaker 7 (05:09):
Okay, okay, Hello, Hi, I'm.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
You asking the gen please. This is Jen, Hi Jen?
How are you? This is a radio show. It's called
the Jubil Show.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
Hi Jen.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
I'mina, I am Victoria and my name is Jubell. How
are you.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
I'm okay, Hi? Hi?
Speaker 4 (05:43):
Have you ever listened to the show before?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, I mean not not consistently, but I know who
you are.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Okay, Hey, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
We're calling you today because we got an email about
you from somebody who does listen, probably a little more
than you. Okay, And we do a segment on the show.
I don't know if you heard it before. It's called
the First Day follow Up. That's where if you go
out on a date with somebody and then you end
up ghosting them, they can email us to get you
on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. Okay,
(06:11):
And we got an email from a guy named William
who thinks that you're awesome, but you haven't called him
back since your date, and he's wondering if you would
tell us why.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Oh okay, well no, So the date was great, We're
having a we're in a wonderful time jazz club, and
everything was cool until the shark shootery board came out
and he started to smell everything, like like deeply, every
(06:42):
single bite was it because.
Speaker 6 (06:44):
He liked the senses, Like is it one of those
things where it's like you smell it and then you
eat it and then you have a better appreciation for it.
Speaker 8 (06:50):
I know what you're saying, but no, this is more
like quality control, Like we got we got this cheese thing,
and he just he picked everything up and and was
like checking.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
It for for quality. Is the cheese, the.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Meat all his like for quality.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
I'm just kind of confused, like picking up a piece
of cheese and looking over on all sides and poking
it and.
Speaker 8 (07:15):
Like suspiciously, you know, like like one of the.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
People who smell why the smaller like but but.
Speaker 6 (07:23):
For lunchibles, like he didn't trust it. Then he's like
he didn't trust it exactly. He wasn't doing it to
be funny. And at first I thought he was doing
it to.
Speaker 9 (07:34):
Be funny, you know, but then when he didn't address
it and he didn't make a joke, it just became
clear that he was. You know, there were Samcy cheeses
on the cheeseboard, and one of them was I can't
remember the exact name of it, but it was a
kind of blue cheese, and he he wanted to send
that back because it was moldy, you know, like it
(07:54):
has the veins and in it.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
I tried very calmly to like say, oh that you know,
that's just the way that it is, that's the way
that it comes. But he just he was a little
upset about he was like almost emotional about it.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
Well, I supposed to that. I'm just gonna eat mold jen.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
That's William. He's actually on the phone listening and wants
to talk to you.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Okay, Hi, So that's it. That's the reason why you've
been ghost to me because I won't eat moldy cheese.
I don't do that's fair.
Speaker 8 (08:29):
We were at a five star wine bar, not a
questionable food truck.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah, a five star restaurant. They shouldn't be selling like
mold and stuff like. That's complete bullet. I mean, I'm
spending all his money and he wanted to give me
a bad food. Were you? Were you scared of the
breeze too?
Speaker 8 (08:48):
It did look a little suspicious.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
It was melting. That's not good cheese supposed to it
comes hard in a block. It's supposed to be like that.
Thank you. All these different type of cheeses, I think
at least one would be right. I'm spending all this
money and please give me some cheddar. Give me. It
was four different colors, some some had like strangers. It
(09:14):
made no sense. What was meltson? I doesn't even know
what like? It was all supposed to be like that.
You that's the breadsticks with him, and the in the
menu it is say any description about moldi cheese or
a different colored cheese or melts and cheese. It's a
artisan cheese. And it was not artsy. It was very wrong.
(09:35):
And then the smell alone, the smell that makes sense.
I swear, I have sweaty sock to smell the same.
Speaker 8 (09:42):
What maybe you just don't like cheese, because that is
what that is what the cheeses are supposed to look
like and smell.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
I love cheese. Cheese is great, but it should come
in a plastic package or in a box.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
All right, Well, so is that the only reason you're ghosting?
Because you know he's not into those fancy, stinky cheeses.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
I mean we were at we were at a restaurant
with like live jazz and and a twenty dollars olive plate.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
The cheese. It was fine, you know, I just I
don't I spent twenty dollars on all of them. I'm
trying to say, all those fancy cheeses, I don't be
knowing that my cheese is at the cheesecake factory. I
just we could go there again. Just give me another chance.
I'll stop smelling cheese. I was a little bit out
(10:35):
of my comfort zone. It that's just not the place
I do. I just really, really really wanted to impress you.
I really like you, and it just sucks that I
feel ghosted by you. So hopefully you give me another.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Champld you like another day with William will pay for it.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
I go.
Speaker 10 (10:53):
Look, we don't have to go anywhere that you're not comfortable.
I didn't ask to go to a jazz club. You
don't have to take me somewhere that you wouldn't normally go.
It's very sweet that you wanted to impress me, but
like you know, imprst me by being yourself. That's dating, okay,
William confidence?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
You have no more confidence.
Speaker 8 (11:14):
Man. You're either stewing it to me.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Or you're not.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Would you like to go with me to Buffalo Wow Wings?
Like sometimes? Yes, you got.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
Another day, man, just don't get that blue dip with
your wings. Jules first date, fall up
