if you have not heard the news, authorities have charged
a man with sparking deadly January wildfires that leveled the
La neighborhoods in the Palisades.

Allegedly and with the information that they have, and I'm
saying allegedly because I guess you're in a until proven guilty.
But a lot of this stuff is extremely sketchy. So
a twenty nine year old man was charged with sparking
the fire that ended up killing twelve people and the Palisades,
but all of the stuff that's starting to come out
about it. He was actually arrested while he was in
Florida earlier this week and he's set to appear in court.

But they found these conversations on chatchept that he had
about lighting the fire with the cigarette and different ways
to preserve evidence of himself trying to assist because he
would call and report the fires to nine one one,
and then there are reports of him by the fires
that he's done. I mean, no this one. Oh yeah
about the fire, I'm sorry. He was calling and he

was reporting and calling sites that were ablaze. There multiple
fires that it caused, Yea, there were a few.

Yeah.

There were also at the same time a couple other
fires in the LA area.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
I don't think they're charging him for all of those.
This one is the specific one up on the hillside.
But there was those conversations, and then people said that
they saw him watching the fires start to blaze until
the fire trucks came, then he left and then would
come back and watch them fight the fire. So there's
just a lot of really sketchy evidence that is starting
to point him in that place. So I don't know

how long this is going to take, but the investigation
is definitely underway, and he's looking not so innocent.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Based off of what they have found so far.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I mean, that's just terrible, like you are responsible for
so much. But the crazy part is is it says
that with this type of a fire, he could be
seeing up to five years in jail, but it's got
to be more than that. Has to be more than
that in an entire neighborhood. These are people's homes. This
is devastating, curious why, but I wonder if like you
want to see it, like just like start taking things.

Down and it's like those people that are obsessed with
fire and stuff like that and like setting things on fire. Yeah,
there are people that are like that. They just want
to set things on fire.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It's hard to understand why some people do those types
of things, but he did, and it's awful. We'll see
how this continues to play out. We are getting closer
to Halloween, and if you're one of those people that
loves when your doorbell rings a little trick or tree
is saying, hey, give me some candy full, then you're
going to want to make sure you get your house
on the next door app. So next door is the

app that they use in different neighborhoods. And maybe you've
got Facebook groups, but next door specifically is allowing you
to post pictures of your house, the type of candy
that you're.

Going to be giving away.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Maybe you have something fun and scary for people to experience.
You can post and say all of those things. And
maybe if you don't want people to come by your house.
You can just be like, oh, don't come.

are going to be, at the toothbrush and a little
thing of toothpaste in that house. What now, you're not?
My mom used to actually give out books. Really, yes,
religious famblets in there as well. Come on by picture.

usually judge them for their costumes to being evil things
