Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
It's about to be a big weekend for Major League
Baseball and women. MLB is calling up its first female umpire.
Her name is Jen Powell and she's going to be
She's been working in the minor leagues for ten years.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Whoa I know? And can you believe after all this time,
this is the first.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Major League Baseball Wow, I guess the NBA got its
first female official twenty eight years ago.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Hey, yeah, I remember when I remember that.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah, it was that long ago. Yeah, I didn't realize
it was that long ago.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
But baseball's catching up and she is going to be
debuting on Saturday during the Marlins and Braves game. So
if you want to cheer on Jen, it's a big weekend.
So congratulations to her. I mean, that's history, just like
that in twenty twenty five. Hey, yeah, it is cool.
I don't know if you guys think this is cool
or not, but have you noticed that Instagram has added

(00:51):
new features? Yes, it's rolling out three new features. One
of them is including a friend's tab in reels, which
I don't really know because it also had this option
to repost reels. Oh, that's like what TikTok does, Like
if someone else posts it, you can repost it and
there's a whole nother tab on your feed page of Yeah,

(01:12):
so Instagram's doing that too. Oh now you're also going
to be able to share your location on the Instagram map.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
What that's like Snapchat, They're taking everything from every other.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Like, all right, all these other apps are winning right now,
so let's just take the things that people like that.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
But if you don't turn off your location, like letting
people see that, it's automatically showing them where you are.
So if you haven't taken that, if you haven't taken
that moment, pick up your phone and make sure that
your location is turned off.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Otherwise you're being tracked.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Do that. This is the funny and not so funny
part about this is is that I went to try
to go figure out how to see where everybody was,
and I'd just like to know where my people are,
you know.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
But that's scary. I feel like it should be the.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Opposite, Like, if you want to have it turned on,
you can automatically go turn it on.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Versus yeah, I agree with you, I should make it
like that scary. I agree with you.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
If you don't know this, that's gonna be like that's
that's not okay.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
So tell your friends, tell everybody. And apparently for parents
this is a really cool thing. So then you're going
to be able to know if your kids are sharing
their location where your child is.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
So maybe cool, also questionable.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I mean, I don't know. There's just so much information
out there. Just turn off everything that you want to
keep private.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Yeah, because then everyone else can see where kids are.
That's weird. Yeah. Oh I don't like that. I don't know. Yeah,
I don't like the location thing. And like I said,
they took it from snapchat. It's not even original. Do
you meet something new? Original? Come on? Like what? I
don't know they can think of it. Okay, I don't
have time to think. How about this?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
You want to go on a cruise, The first true
crime cruise set sail this fall.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
It's on Virgin Voyages.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
This actually makes me nervous, which is hilarious as somebody
who loves true crime. But basically, you're going to be
on this cruise, evolving mysteries, sipping cocktails at sea. You're
gonna watch real true crime podcasts be like recorded in
real time. So you're gonna be on a boat, stuck
on a boat with all these people, hearing about all
these crimes and getting inspiration, Like, you know, some of

(03:15):
the people that love this true crime stuff are criminals, right.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I wouldn't want to go on that cruise like the
sideways that everybody. I wouldn't leave my room at all.
The lights go out and you gotta figure out who's
got tossed overboard. You'd be liking the third movie of
Knives Out. It'd be live action.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Yea, I hate that. Okay, that's what's trending.
