  • NFL fines the Atlanta Falcons over a prank call to Shedeur Sanders

  • New survey finds most Americans would rather stay in than go out

Shedeur Sanders Prank Call Leads to Huge NFL Fines

This is not how you want your name trending after the NFL Draft. The Atlanta Falcons just got slapped with a $250,000 fine, and their defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbricht is out $100K—all because of a prank phone call. Ulbricht’s son, Jax, used his dad’s iPad to call Shedeur Sanders, pretending to be the New Orleans Saints about to draft him. Jax later admitted the prank was “embarrassing and shameful.” The NFL says the fines were for failing to secure confidential draft info, and they’re now investigating other prank calls, including one to third overall pick Abdul Carter.

New Survey Says Americans Are Over Going Out

Forget the clubs and bar hopping—staying in is the new going out. A new survey found that 72% of Americans prefer to chill at home with friends rather than go out for a night on the town. The poll of 2,000 adults also revealed that almost half say this shift in preference only happened in the last few years. Welcome to your homebody era.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It just takes three minutes to get every single thing
you need to know for the day. Was Nina's what's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
The NFL is buying the Falcons two hundred and fifty
thousand dollars just for that text message over the prank
call at Fiasco. So if you remember, Shador Sanders was
waiting to get a call to be drafted in the
NFL draft and he ended up getting a print call
from somebody who happened to be the son of the
defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons named Jeff Ulbrich. He

(00:26):
also got fined one hundred thousand dollars WHOA because he
failed to prevent the disclosure of confidential confidential information distributed
to the club in advance of the NFL draft.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Can you imagine being that kid the reason why your.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
School who dad's career?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, yeah, I'm now find one thousand dollars?

Speaker 5 (00:44):
Find one hundred. That's a thousand dollars. Child, You are
working that off.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Until man, oh my god, Yeah it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
It doesn't look like anybody lost their jobs, thankfully, and honestly,
I don't blame the dads so much.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
Like if you're at home, you think you're safe. You
don't think your son is going to betray you.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah, I got the iPad and got the phone number
for the special draft phone.

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Huh standards, it's so crazy, I know.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
But it might get fired though, you know, that's how
the NFL works. Like he just grew up that big.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
I think they would have.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
To get pressure, Like, do somebody like to try to
hold him accountable because I don't know how big of
a deal.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
Well, but he may cost them two hundred fifty thousand dollars. Yeah, Well,
they're supposed to make them money, not cost them money.

Speaker 5 (01:26):
Well, don't you think they would try to make him
pay that.

Speaker 6 (01:29):
I don't know what the laws are around making him
pay that. Like if our radio station gets fined, do we, like, is,
do we have to pay that?

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
No, they don't usually make us do that because then
they're responsible for us, so we would get fired.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
He's he's a defensive coordinator for the Falcons, right something
like that.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
If I were him and that was my son, I'd
be like, all right, well you're gonna come work at
practice with me. Hey, guys, here's the tackling dummy for
the day.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
That's how you really teach him a lesson.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Get humbled real fast all day, you know howie. So
staying in is the new going out? Do you prefer
to stay in or go out?

Speaker 6 (02:12):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
If you're into this trend, more people are enjoying staying
home and house parties instead of going out to different
clubs and bars and stuff. So they're still hanging out
with their friends, they're just doing it at home and pajamas.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
See, that's fun.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
But unless you have like neighbors, then they might get
mad at you. Like I'm always scared my neighbors are
gonna get mad when it.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Gets too loud in my apartment.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Have you ever tried? Do you have parties?

Speaker 5 (02:34):
I don't have parties.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
But when it was like Hotella was happening after we
went out to the bars, we came home from the
bars and we were very.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
Loud because we were little intoxicated.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
But I was worried we were gonna get one of
our neighbors like coming and knocking on my door. And
then my neighbor the next day is like, hey, you're Victoria, right,
And I'm like, oh, crap, I don't know your name,
Like yes, hi, He's like oh, I'm your neighbor. I'm like,
nice to meet you, sir. And I thought I think
he was doing it to like tell me like hey,
I feel.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Like he was just like why didn't you invite me?
If you knew my name? And maybe afula came to
the party.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
It's like three o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I feel like the rule is, though, you can do
that until you get a complaint, you know what I mean,
And then when you get the complaint, then you can
be respectful.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
But until then you don't know what the threshold is
of your neighbors.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yet.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
It's like on Victoria always thinks she's in trouble.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
She does like you could have just been your neighbor
been like, oh hey, what's up, I'm your neighbor, and
you're like, he's definitely mad.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
I did something wrong.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
The age range of this neighbor. He's a little older.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
He had a really cute dog, though, like older older,
like maybe like fifth sixties.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Oh yeah, I know he's not you. Yeah, yeah, he's angry.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Okay, So she'd get him like a.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Plant gift basket. That would be really nice of you,
gift basket.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
I like the plant. Do a plant you should just.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Knock in the store.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, I'm just being giving some insure and be like, hey,
so you're old and probably my friends woke you up
watching Coachella and stuff when we got back from the
bars one night, So sorry about that.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Sure, met iggestion from leaving you up late, steady.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Well and he's regular, yeah, very healthy.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
That's what's trending.
