Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's almost time for Nina's What's Trending, But don't forget.
Every single phone prank is a free trip phone prank
your shot at a trip to the Austin City Limits
Music Festival. All you have to do right now is
go to the jebelshow dot com slash acl and enter
the keyword friend. That's friend at the jewelshow dot com
slash acl. Now it's time for Nina's What's Trending.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Now there's a new movement trending and it's called sit
at the Bar September. So the whole idea is to
encourage you to get off the dating apps and date
the old school way, go by yourself to a bar,
sit there, ready to talk. So there's instructions to go
and give yourself a goal, which may be just introducing
yourself to a stranger, even if you're attracted to them
or not. Just that way, you're starting to put yourself

(00:40):
out there and you have the energy and it's like
you're trying to get kidnapped. Normally, I would think that too,
because I always feel like I'm gonna get chopped up
into little pieces. Oh okay to that, But I think
it depends on what type of bar or where the
location of the bars that you choose to go ah,
because I feel like hotel bars like would be kind
of safe ish, but supposed to it does say like

(01:01):
one of the things is to be very diligent about
who puts things in your drinks and stuff. And it's like, yeah, okay,
to me, that's obvious, but you know what, we have
to also always have disclaimers for absolutely everything, so be
careful if you choose to participate, it's sit in the
bar at the bar September. But I mean I like
the idea of people getting ready to go out just
to meet people. I mean yeah, but then you just

(01:21):
go sit there if no one else shows up, so
you just sitting there for multiple hours, so two days
a week. Well, sometimes it's really well if you're doing that,
and then you really got a lot of time on it, right,
But I mean, usually you meet at least one person, right,
whether you're true or maybe it's even a couple, like
an older couple or the bartender. You always end up
talking to somebody that's got like an interesting story, So
I always feel good about that. But if you're there

(01:43):
about yourself and nothing happens, that's the quickest way to
be like stick in my bed alone. I'm like what
rhymes would be.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Target is having a hard time right now, so Targets
actually have slower year, which is surprising because we all
love Target. But they're also facing some serious backlash right
now for one of their sweatpants that they've been selling.
It's Champion. It's made with Champion, i should say, and
they are pleated. So they're these poleted, thick elastic waistband sweats.

(02:17):
And I'm surprised that the people that bought these and
that are complaining about them didn't try them on first,
because that feels like that's kind of a you think.
But I'm going to try to describe it why the
plats are a problem. There's there's a plea right in
the very very middle. What's a pleat, like like a crease? Yeah,
like a crease, which can be very cute. Plats can
be cute, but in these it's like they're sweats, but

(02:39):
with plats. And in the middle there's this one pleat
that kind of curves, so depending on the body and
depending on your body shape, the plat rests in a
in the middle and shows things Yeah, it looks like
a part of a body. It looks like, you know,
sometimes compared to camels.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Or a picture if you want to see it so
you can really see it.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah, and it is actually.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
It really does like it accentuates.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, it accentuates that far and may have been compared
to a camera.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Nobody tried that on and thought, wait a second, right,
this is exactly like the thing that people have.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
There would make that and not realized like that, guys,
that's a bad idea and that's the problem. People are like,
this was not designed by a woman. This was clearly
designed by a man who didn't think about it. But
why did nobody try it? Well, you know, think about
it may because when it's to fold it at the
rack or whatever.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
But even before they saw it, you have to know
that the pleet does that.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Yeah, it's a joke, like are you trolling it?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I'm just going with the images of it. But there's
this one woman who bought a parent is like posing
in all different ways. It's really funny because.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
She's gone completely viral because of her poses. If it's
the doctor, her name's her Crouch and she's letting everybody
know this is what happens.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Why are these with the pleats? I would never have
guessed that's what have happened.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
So be aware of the pleats. That is what's trending.
