Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have you ever been friend zoned? Ooh, it's the Jewel Show,
you know, where you're into someone and you want to
be more than friends with them, so you ask them
on a date and during the date they say something
like this is so cool, I feel I can talk
to you about anything, and you're thinking, yes, they see
me as a potential life partner eight. But that statement
is followed by them continuing on to tell you about
this guy that they're really into and all their relationship drama,

(00:22):
and then you're like, well, I guess I'm now they're bestie.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Well.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
One relationship expert has published an article that is going
viral for tricks that guys can use to never get
put in the friend zone. So if you're a guy
out there, you want to listen so that you can
stop spending your nights on the phone with your crush
for hours hearing them talk about their crush and ladies,
you can see you if you agree, we'll go over
right after this. Have you ever been friend zoned? Yes,

(00:45):
it's the Jewel Show, you know, where you have a
crush on somebody, so you start spending a lot of
time with them thinking that they're going to fall in
love with you, and then one night they invite you
out for drinks, so you put on your best clothes,
bathe yourself and your favorite cologne, and pop seven Viagra
before it be head in to meet them in the restaurant.
And then as soon as you walk in, they're like, hey,

(01:06):
this is my boyfriend Hank. And you're like, oh, no,
I've been friend zoned and now I smell like axe
body spray and I'm really regretting that I wore sweatpants. No,
it goes well. There's an article going viral for guys
on how you can make sure that you're not friend zoned.
We'll go over it in just a second. But remember

(01:26):
you can also stream the show wherever you stream stuff,
whatever device you want to use, whether it's your Alexa
or your Hey Google or your Hey Meta or any
of those. And by the way, when I said that,
I hope your device listened and was like, what, what
can I help you? But oh, and you can always
check out the podcast. Go to the jubilshow dot com
or wherever you get your podcasts and just type in
the Jubil Show. But now, what are the surefireways that

(01:47):
this article says that guys can stay out of the
friend zone. It's helpful for guys to listen to if
they want to not be friend zoned, and ladies, you
should listen too to see if you agree that this
stuff would actually work. But we'll go over the rules now.
According to this article that's going viral, it says break
the nice guy or best friend stereotype is one of
the surefire ways to make sure that you don't get

(02:08):
friend zoned. Be creep kind of yeah, pretty freezia. Here's
the tips that it says. Instead of saying things like
tell me about your day, like a best friend or
a nice guy would say, switch that to tell me
what time I'm picking you up? I mean, that's kind
of hot.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Don't suggest, don't be like weird and creepy about it,
but be more of like a.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Like I don't care about your day. I wish you
would shut up, like chicks are always talking anyway, what
time should I pick you up?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
My guys says that just like kind of sound sexy,
so it's like, oh, okay, I don't know, apparently I'm.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
Being hijacked today.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
It also has the surefire wear for guys to not
be put in the friend zone is to pay attention
to how you give compliments. Don't say things like cute top.
What is that something a buddy would say? Say sexy top?

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Good?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, pretty much. That's pretty much what this article is saying.
Text in if you agree with this at four one
sixty one, if any of these things would keep you
out of the friend zone, or if you'd just be
like nope, next.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I mean, I wouldn't frenzy if you told me that,
I would just not be friends with you regardless.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
But like, you're not getting any farther EIM so.

Speaker 7 (03:20):
No, cue top just like you look hot, dude, baby?
Yeah no, sweater puppets look great when we're going to
the puppet showwater puppet.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
See.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
At that point, I'm just never going to see you again.
So you have my friend or anything else. Well, according
to this article that's going viral, this is sure fire
away for dudes to not be put in a friend zone.
It also says make sure to give her some space,
don't text her twenty four to seven. I like that
you need to text her, and this is a quote
from the article, text her like you have a life

(03:55):
where you're possibly on a yacht. Hey, yeah, well sorry,
can't text back. I'm on a yacht right now.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
The thing is, I like space, not everyone else, but
I need to know you have a life.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I can't be your whole life. I got things to do, homie.
It says, if you're too available, it can make you
become more of a friend, and then you're more likely
that you'll become friend zone. Yeah, so yeah, I text
me that you're on a yacht. I'll believe you, okay,
text in four one a six one. Would this stuff
work for you to keep a guy out of the
friend zone or would it just work for you to
be like, I'm not talking to you anymore, because so far,
to me, that's what it sounds like.

Speaker 8 (04:29):
So far, it just.

Speaker 9 (04:30):
Sounds like I'm not talking this guy anymore because he's
a criminal.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Oh here's another tip from this article that's going viral
about how guys can make sure they're not put in
the friend zone. Make sure they see that you're not
lacking options. I don't like that. I so post stories
with like two drinks at a table with no explanation.
If you're talking, I don't want to be friend zone.
Let them see that you're out with someone, but they
don't know who. He casually mentioned somebody asked me out today.

(04:55):
When you're talking right, oh, so so far you have
to give her compliments on her clothes, but not like
that's cute, just like you look sexy hot. We also
don't talk to her about her day, just say things
like when am I picking you up? And then also
make sure she knows that you're wanted. Okay, that thing is,

(05:15):
I don't care what you were saying, like somebody asked
me out today? Anyway with time to pick you up
and also wear something hot.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
I mean, I wouldn't put you the friends at that
point because you're picking me up. But the issue or
the thing I'm trying to get about this is there
is a guy that I have and I can't figure
out if we're friends or he wants to be more
than friends. He's very sweet and so he does say
like oh I like that jacket, but then he won't
message me for.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
A while and you like that Victoria I did originally
and now it's been like a hot it's been like
two weeks. I'm making sure that he's not in the
friend zone because another one they have is make sure
you stay mysterious. Well, he's working for you in that regards,
He's mysterious to me because I'm like, I don't know
playing games though, man, just playing games? What it is?

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (06:01):
They say to be mysterious. And this is another quote
from the article. Answer questions with riddles, like a sexy batman,
how would that ever work?

Speaker 10 (06:10):
For?

Speaker 6 (06:12):
What time?

Speaker 11 (06:12):
Are going?

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Okay, be unpredictable? No, No, I don't like that.

Speaker 11 (06:20):
No.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I need I need to know what's going on. If
you're unpredictable, I'm going to get confuse it. I'm gonna
end up losing interest and then running away.

Speaker 9 (06:27):
It's surprising when flowers is one thing, but like unpredictable yeah,
and go bad.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
And the article literally says, don't not predictable in a
what is the up to?

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Way?

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Because that's boring in a should I call the cops? Way?
It's what they say texted for the next one. What
do you think is that gonna work for you? That's
a sexy batman villain who doesn't want to hear anything
you have to say. Right, Basically, he just wants to
call you hot.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Basically, you put sexy batman in front of that, and
you got me.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
And I see women with men like this a lot. Yeah,
how this guy get this girl?

Speaker 1 (07:02):

Speaker 13 (09:00):

prank phone call then I can do that. Sorry about

Speaker 11 (11:20):
Or at least, Oh my god, are you This.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Is actually Jubil from the Jebel show doing a phone
brank on you and your husband set you up?

Speaker 11 (11:28):
God, why why what.

Speaker 12 (11:37):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
No, you said you guys got a new mattress and
you hate getting woken up. So I came in at
three point thirty in the morning to make this phone
call to you. No way, that is commitment.

Speaker 12 (11:53):
Fully traumatized.

Speaker 11 (11:54):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
All right, go back to bed.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Okay, wake up every morning with double phone Franks.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
It's time for Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 15 (12:05):
As we move into twenty twenty six, it's gonna be
all about being soft.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Okay, so this girl, this trending has a theme.

Speaker 15 (12:15):
So I'm about to tell you about the soft skills
that you need to land a job in twenty twenty six.
But before we get there, let's talk about soft saving now.
Soft saving is trending right now because it's this whole
idea that you don't put everything away into savings for
your future.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
You put a portion of it away for you to spend.
Treat your sale's putting it away from the future. I'm
might spend it now, says the girl who just got
a four to one K. I hated that. You know
that takes money out of your paycheck.

Speaker 15 (12:43):
Yeah, but eventually you don't miss it, and then you'll
be prepared for your retirement.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
That's a later problem. I don't have the money now.

Speaker 9 (12:50):
I would start investing now. Trust me that four to
one K. You're gonna you may hate it now, but
it is something you should start at your age.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
It's really cool. It's really cool.

Speaker 15 (13:00):
Well when you go and you check your account and
you see the number go up, and you're like, oh,
future me is gonna be not rich.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
But but I.

Speaker 15 (13:08):
Have some money, but I actually subscribed by this soft
saving is wonderful. And the theory behind it though, is
funny because it's millennials and gen z that have been
so stressed out that they want something to look forward
to so they can feel better about their current situation.
And sure, whatever your reason is for treating yourself, we're

(13:29):
supposed to live. Yeah, yeah, you should go to dinner
with your friends. Sometimes you don't need to break the bank,
but I mean do something that you enjoy, go for
a walk with a coffee like that kind of thing
you do deserve.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Otherwise, what are you.

Speaker 9 (13:41):
Doing put money away each week and so you have
something building towards a vacation at the end.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
Of the year.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
I mean they're suggesting five percent.

Speaker 15 (13:48):
Yeah, so five percent of every paycheck you just every
way if you want a soft save, oh maybe your
saving isn't so soft. Maybe yours is hard saving.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Mine's like, if there's extra money in there, you're spending it.

Speaker 15 (14:01):
So there's no there's no saying like, oh my gosh,
do I have she's hard living.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
No, she's hard spending.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
But if you need a reason.

Speaker 15 (14:12):
To put away some money, soft saving, be soft. That's
what everybody wants, even employers. So these are soft skills
that will actually land you a job in twenty twenty six,
And funny enough, it's very encouraging considering we talk about
how robots are going to take everybody's jobs in the future,
but now there are businesses that are prioritizing good communication skills, professionalism,

(14:34):
time management, accountability, resilience, problem solving, critical thinking. I mean,
all of the things that you may learn in a communication.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Class, were they not already priorities that prioritizing those skills.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
But at the same time, you can still get a
job without them.

Speaker 15 (14:49):
Guys, obviously proof okay, you actually have some of these
minus time managements, I'll take them. Everything else you do have, Oh,
good community cation skills, we're working on that too. But
your accountability, your resilience, your critical thinking, actually attention to detail,
collaboration skills. Almost everything on that list you have victoria attention.

(15:11):
Just two things.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
The time management will keep you from going insane.

Speaker 9 (15:14):
That's literally like why it's important you have You can
have all those skill sets, but if your time.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
Management isn't on point, your entire day will be scattered.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Every day, you know, it's messed up.

Speaker 15 (15:25):
I went to college, right, So I went to the
University of Washington, and if anybody asked me what I
learned in school, I would tell them.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
It was time manager.

Speaker 15 (15:33):
I didn't have to pay for that, right whatever. I
paid for that four year degree, but I learned time
and yeah, you did. So if you got those soft skills,
good luck to you. Absolutely that is what's trending.

Speaker 7 (15:44):
It's Time to Catch a Cheater only on.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
The Jubile Show. Happy holidays everyone, Yeah, yeah, see, we
are reliving the craziest to Catch a Cheater of the
Year because we asked you guys to vote on what
was your favorite and of course everybody wanted to hear
the to Catch a Cheater That took us four days
to track down a dude in Arizona who was cheating
with somebody else. We have his wife and his girlfriend
on the phone. Madness. Yeah. Also make sure you're listening

(16:11):
on Friday because after the last part of this on
Friday we have an update. All three of those women
will be on the phone. We were able to track
down the one they was cheating with in Arizona. Yeah,
people have been asking about it like crazy, so we
figured we'd give you an early Christmas present and at
the same time on Friday, you'll hear an update. But
here it is by request. Sounds exhausting, craziest to Catch

(16:32):
a Cheater of the year. In case you missed, yesterday
on the show, we did to Catch a Cheater, which
we always do, and this happened.

Speaker 12 (16:41):
No, Taylor, like, I'm not cheating on you, Like, this
isn't anything devious, I'm trying to do. Everything is fine.
I mean we've been a minute since we've been into
it together. But that's okay, We'll get there.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Tell her you're going to fix it. Tell her that's
what you want. That's sure.

Speaker 12 (16:59):
People like, I love you and I want to be
with you forever.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
And I know we'll get through this in a moment, Okay.

Speaker 12 (17:07):
I'm just I'm so sorry. I am thinking that you
would have cheated Amy.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
And then right after that, actually, while she was still
on the phone but we couldn't get her back on
the phone, Samantha called and Samantha is sure that that
dude is her husband.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Samantha, Hi, Yes, I've been trying to call in this
like entire time.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Okay, yeah, so.

Speaker 12 (17:29):
That that sounds identical to know that that is my husband,
that's that's my I'm.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Like, I'm so confused. I'm shaking. I don't know what's
going on. I don't know why my husband's on.

Speaker 12 (17:44):
The radio with you guys.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
So I did with.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah, and and he's saying he's married to this woman.

Speaker 12 (17:52):
I don't understand. That's my husband. Your husband is Matt,
that's my husband, Matt.

Speaker 14 (17:57):
Yes, yes, I can't believe that that's that can't be true, right,
Samantha's on the phone with us right now.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
We worked it out so where we could talk to
Taylor in a second, so that they can talk. But Samantha,
you're still sure that that's your husband.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, I've I've slept on it, like I've calmed down
a bit, but I'm I am even more sure that's
my husband.

Speaker 12 (18:19):
And now I'm like entering the anger territory.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
But did you see your husband yesterday?

Speaker 15 (18:26):
No?

Speaker 12 (18:26):
Out of town.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
He's out of town. Okay, Oh where is he right now?
Still out of town?

Speaker 12 (18:31):
Yeah, he said he's in California.

Speaker 15 (18:33):
But before hearing this, did you think he was cheating
on you?

Speaker 12 (18:36):
No?

Speaker 8 (18:37):
I really didn't.

Speaker 12 (18:38):
I've suspected in the past.

Speaker 11 (18:41):
I know he's.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Cheated on others, like previous girlfriends and you know, but
I thought once we got married, that that that would
all end. And I'm not like entirely surprised, and I
hate that I'm saying that. Yeah, I wouldn't put it
past them.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
Did you think about asking him?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
I honestly, I think he'll try to like explain it away,
and that's like all the pastimes.

Speaker 10 (19:04):
I want.

Speaker 12 (19:05):
I want to catch him, I love, I.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Want to have something to stay in his face and like,
and you can't explain his.

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Way out of I have his phone number, can you
is there any way like if do you know? I
mean obviously you would know his phone number so I
can compare it to what I have and because that's
a good idea, I think.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Person. Yeah, unless he's got burner energy.

Speaker 12 (19:25):
Yeah, all right, it's them for five.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
It is the same phone number. Oh wow, I'm sorry
we have to talk to yeah, because you know his girlfriend,
who I'm sure you know before we talk to her.
She obviously has no idea he's married, and so he's
run game on her. So you know, I just want

(19:52):
to say, it's not her fault. She has no idea. Okay,
I thought he was cheating on her. Yeah, she thought
he was cheating on her, and then you heard it
and called up and beat you. All right, cool? Well, yeah,
we'll play a song come back, and then we will
call Taylor and get you on the phone with her
so that you can talk to her about the fact

(20:13):
that the dude that was on to Catch Cheeter yesterday,
who was her boyfriend, who sounded very faithful and like
it was really honest, really honest, is actually your husband. Okay, Okay,
we'll play a song come back and get your to
Catchcheter next right in the middle of to Catch a
Cheater And if you're just joining us, I know, normally, right,
now it's a first date follow up. But today is
a little different because yesterday we did to catch a

(20:35):
cheater at this time, and it was with this girl Taylor,
and her boyfriend Matt, who she thought was cheating. Called
him sounded all good like he wasn't cheating. But during
that whole thing, Samantha was trying to call us, and
Samantha is his wife, mind Billy, and Samantha heard the
whole call called us and was like, no, that's my husband,

(20:55):
and so she hasn't talked to Taylor yet. So we're
about to call Taylor and get her on the phone
with Samantha so that you can try to confirm I mean,
you know, sure, exactly, all right, Samantha, Are you ready
for us to call Taylor so you guys can talk?

Speaker 8 (21:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Ready, Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna call it right now.
Here we go. Hello, Hey Taylor, it's the Jewel Show.

Speaker 12 (21:29):
Oh hey guys, look up, you guys so much for
helping me out. Are you guys just like checking in.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
With Yeah, calling to check in with you. Have you
listened back to any of the show at all yesterday?

Speaker 11 (21:43):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (21:43):
No, I haven't been doing life. I guess. Okay, sorry,
I promise I'm a listener though, thank you.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Thank you very much. Yeah. Now, the reason I'm asking
is because yesterday, when you were doing the To Catch
a Cheaters, something happened, and I wondered if you had
heard about it already. No, okay, after you hung up. Actually,
during the whole To Catch a Cheater, someone was trying
to call us and didn't realize it until like after
you had already hung up. I tried to get your attention,

(22:14):
and they're on the phone right now and they want
to talk to you about to Catch Cheater yesterday. Okay.
Her name is Samantha. Samantha there.

Speaker 12 (22:25):
Yeah, yeah, I'm here.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah, so Samantha Taylor meet each other. Yeah.

Speaker 14 (22:30):
Hi.

Speaker 12 (22:30):
Oh my god, this is incredibly awkward.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
I was kind of hoping that you had heard a
little bit on the radio so I didn't have to like.

Speaker 12 (22:38):
Do this, And oh my god, this is a hard
This is a hard thing to tell someone. So I
just say it. I'm not cheating.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
He is cheating on you because he's my husband and
I was listening and I heard him.

Speaker 12 (22:55):
It was one I was trying to call him the
entire time.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
And then he's explaining a way of a business trip
or something, and it just it made no sense. But
I verified with them, and it's it's one my Matt and.

Speaker 12 (23:12):
I'm married and and so I I know it's but
we've been are you serious?

Speaker 8 (23:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (23:20):
For three years? I mean we've moved in together six
months ago.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Like are you Oh my god, Okay, I gotta say
from almost possible to this thing.

Speaker 12 (23:28):
I'm not mad at you. I am just like I cannot,
I cannot believe that.

Speaker 14 (23:34):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
I'm like not gonna be like, but like he's married. Yeah,
so we you've been together for three years? Well, we've
been married for five Oh my god, five years. We've
been together for ten. So yeah, we were five times.
I like, really messed up joke right now, like.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Taylor, Taylor, it's it's not a joke. She called us
yesterday and we were able to confirm a couple of
things with her. He seemed pretty convincing. Well, you can
ask her questions to confirm it too, if you have.

Speaker 12 (24:09):
Yeah, I know that, I know. I know everything about that. Man, Oh,
accept this, I guess, but I can't. I mean, I
don't know what to even ask you to confirm.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
I mean, like you know, just I guess, I mean
around here alway, guys, birthday?

Speaker 1 (24:25):
When's his birthday? Okay?

Speaker 12 (24:31):
Yes, that is his birthday. Always had a book, always
reading a crime. What was that his mom's and Teresa
Teresa his mom?

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah you both know his mother?

Speaker 12 (24:43):
Yeah, as a mat or twice?

Speaker 1 (24:44):
What?

Speaker 12 (24:46):
Oh my god?

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Does she know who you are?

Speaker 8 (24:48):
Taylor?

Speaker 12 (24:51):
How do you introduce you as a girlfriend? Yeah? Yeah
he did. He just like this is my girlfriend too. Wow.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
I mean I know, I'm we don't get along, me
and me and his family there there, we don't get
along at all.

Speaker 12 (25:04):
We've never gotten along. But that but that's like a
new love. That's a new.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Low crazy thing to let your son do.

Speaker 12 (25:10):
Yeah, it's just just like so toxic.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
I mean, I know one way that will completely convince you.
He has like for what he used to play baseball,
he has like a giant like kind of scar on
the inside of his leg.

Speaker 12 (25:23):
But are you kidding me?

Speaker 8 (25:25):
Right now?

Speaker 12 (25:25):
I what that actual is going on?

Speaker 2 (25:28):
This is ridiculous, Like I know that, like everything you're
saying is true, but it just does not make sense
to me in any way, shape or form.

Speaker 12 (25:35):
It doesn't make sense to me either, it really doesn't.
I this mare is living a double life. He's he's
stuff obviously his whole family's stuff.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
So Samantha, he's told you he's out of town, right, uh.

Speaker 12 (25:48):
Huh, Yeah, he travels. He does travel a lot for work. Okay,
three out of three weeks out of the month.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
And Taylor, I'm just gonna identify you guys, so people
know Samantha is the wife of this guy. Taylor is
his girlfriend of three years. Taylor is has he been
to your place you guys moved in together six months ago?
Or is he also out of town on business?

Speaker 12 (26:10):
He's out of town right now?

Speaker 15 (26:11):
Oh my god, I will tell me there's a third.
I'm gonna lose my mind. Okay, Well, how about this.
I mean, do you guys obviously want to catch him, right?
I mean, you know Samantha heard this yesterday, Taylor, I
mean he lied to you yesterday.

Speaker 12 (26:27):
I've been here doing for the past twenty four hours
with like Susier to like completely feeling okay about it
and now just being so completely angry. I just went
like complete closure at this point.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I'm sorry. Yeah, do you guys want to do a
to catch a cheater? Tomorrow? Together and we don't even
have to do all the like flower stuff. We can
just have you both on so he can be caught.
He deserves that.

Speaker 12 (26:51):
Oh want anything to catch him, embarrass him. Whatever I'm in,
I'm I don't know, I don't I don't know if
I can do this again.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
This man will keep doing this, and if he's out
of town and has someone else, like you know how
good he is at explaining things away, I'm sure you
can't let him get away with this. I need your honestly,
I need your help because I want to throw everything
in his face and I.

Speaker 12 (27:17):
Need your help. Okay, yeah, I'll do it, Okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Well, So when you guys talk to him today, as
hard as it's going to be, try not to tip
him off that you guys met and everything.

Speaker 12 (27:30):
Okay, aack normal, Yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
And I think that is the right decision to do it, Taylor,
because I mean, also, you don't want him to talk
to you back into staying. Yeah.

Speaker 15 (27:39):
If he tries to twist this in any way, what
do you say he is a psychopath. A sociopath, I
don't know, the kind that can just lie to people's
faces and have two lives.

Speaker 12 (27:47):
He's a cheater and he's about to get caught tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Right, Okay, Well we will talk to you guys this
same time tomorrow then, and we'll call him and you
guys can confront him. Great, all right, Taylor, I'm really sorry.
Samanth I'm also sorry.

Speaker 12 (28:02):
Oh yes, yeah, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (28:04):

Speaker 2 (28:19):

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Venti is large. No Venti is twenty ye.

Speaker 5 (28:26):
Large is large.

Speaker 12 (28:27):

Speaker 1 (28:31):

Because it's Christmas time, we're counting down the twelve first

so here's number twelve, countdown all the way to the
number one first day follow up that you voted on.
Aaron is on the phone today for a first date
follow up, and he's getting ghosted by Monica. So we're
going to see if we can find out why and
maybe get him another date if he still wants one.

(34:44):
In a second. First, let's find out about the date. Aaron,
how long has it been since you heard from Monica?

Speaker 8 (34:49):
Hey, guys, I love the show.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
By the ways, four days? I'm okay, Yeah, you're sure
you getting ghosted?

Speaker 8 (34:59):
I think so at this point. I mean, here's the thing.
I felt like. The day went great.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
We met them bumble, I mean, like everyone, that's kind
of the only way you can meet nowadays. But she
is beautiful, you know, she's kind of got like this,
I don't know, this real like kid, you know, youthful
energy to her, you know. So we were talking about
like Disney movies, you know, just like I'm a big
kid at heart too.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
I love cartoons. I love all of that.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
Okay, And we went out for sushi and she was laughing.
She seemed to be having a good time. I don't know,
I really don't know. I thought it went well. I
was a gentleman, didn't try to kiss nothing, so I Yeah,
I really would would love to possibly have a second
date if she is interested.

Speaker 8 (35:47):
And what happened. Sushi was good. Sushi was good.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
I here's I'm not like a huge seafoods fan, but
you know, I thought it would be something kind of
a little more interesting. But I was still pretty impressed.
And having some sake with it definitely helped.

Speaker 15 (36:05):
Will say that the way you're the guy that's like,
let's go to sushi and then gets California rolls and
then everything that's cooked, that's.

Speaker 11 (36:15):
Wrong with that.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
I need let me just go to a different restaurant.
I don't know, or maybe you just really like California roles.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to clown you right now
in her and I just found that funny.

Speaker 11 (36:23):
No, you're good.

Speaker 8 (36:24):
I mean it was just fun. It's just I'm not
a big seafood guy.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
I guess.

Speaker 15 (36:29):
Okay, okay, is Monica a seafood goal? Was she enjoying
the sushi?

Speaker 8 (36:34):
She seemed to. Yeah, she seemed to be really into it.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
And oh, I just thought it might be something a
little better than just taking her out for you know,
beers and burgers or something.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
You know, Sure, did you feel like she was flirting
with you.

Speaker 8 (36:47):
Yeah, yeah, I really did.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
And like I said, even when we were like chatting,
you know, we seem to have a lot in common.
You seemed like both you know, I sent the kids
at heart. You know, I'm someone who I love to,
you know, to make my gate laugh. And she definitely
seemed to be clicking.

Speaker 8 (37:05):
With my humor. So I hope there can be a
second one.

Speaker 12 (37:09):
Can I ask?

Speaker 4 (37:10):
You said you were a gentleman in that you didn't
try to kiss or anything. Now, granted I'm met on
bumble not maybe that's more like a tender thing. But
could that have been what she was looking for? She
wanted more.

Speaker 15 (37:22):
Of the because bumbles when the woman reaches out to
the man after the after they match.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Yeah, something like maybe she wanted more hookup.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
I don't think so, I'll be honest, that's that's really
what I'm looking for.

Speaker 8 (37:35):
I mean, again, she's she's very beautiful.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
That it's not that I'm not attracted to her, but
I am kind of more in the market, you know,
for something more long term.

Speaker 8 (37:44):
Okay, but I didn't get that vibe either. I mean
I didn't. I didn't feel like she was disappointed, and
I didn't make the move.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
And is there other than I mean, is there anything
else you can think of that might be the reason
you're getting ghosted?

Speaker 8 (38:00):
I don't know. Maybe maybe I wasn't talking enough or something.
I mean, that's kind of the only thing I can
think of, But she generally did.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
She seemed to be laughing, she seemed to be having
some fun, seemed to be smiling a lot.

Speaker 8 (38:15):
So yeah, I really I don't know.

Speaker 15 (38:17):
If you say you weren't talking enough, do you mean
you just sat there and looked at her while she
sushi and tried to tell you things, because you know what,
that might do it for me too, because then I'd
be tired, really hard.

Speaker 8 (38:30):
I wouldn't say that.

Speaker 11 (38:31):
I guess.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
Here's the thing is that, you know, she was telling
me about her childhood family, and you know, she's kind
of been kicking around the ideas of going back.

Speaker 8 (38:41):
To school and stuff like that, and I generally enjoyed
listening to her and then listening to what her plans were.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
So okay, that's cool. All right, we'll see if we
can figured it out for you to play a song
come back, and then call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting you and maybe you another
day if you still wanting Okay, sounds great, all right,
we'll plays on come back, get your first day follow
up next. Right in the middle of your first day
follow up if you're just joining us, Aaron is on
the phone and he's getting ghosted by Monica. So we're
about to call her and see if she'll tell us

(39:09):
why she's ghosting him and maybe get him another date.
But before we do that, why don't you catch everybody up?
Aaron's the situation with Monica and the ghosting.

Speaker 8 (39:16):
Yes, we have met on mumble. We went out for sushie.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
I thought at least it went really well, but I
haven't heard anything in the past few days, and I'm
really hoping that I can possibly get a second date.

Speaker 15 (39:27):
Okay, maybe you know, go somewhere where you like the
food instead of taking her to sushi. Yeah, I'm sorry,
Maybe that's the reason. You know, that's kind of flaggy
to me. Yeah, no offense, it's just it kind of is.
So maybe if that's it, then that it's this is savable.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Then yeah, we'll see Aaron my caller, you ready, let's
do it all?

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Right?

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Here we go? Hello, I speak to morow com Please, Monica,
how are you? My name is Jewbell. I host a
radio show. It is called The Jewbel Show.

Speaker 15 (40:06):
Yeah, and the whole show is here too, Monica, my
name is Nina in Mine Victoria.

Speaker 13 (40:09):
Wow, Hi Hi Hi?

Speaker 11 (40:13):
Is it real?

Speaker 1 (40:14):
Yes? Yeah, listen to the show.

Speaker 8 (40:16):
Yeah, I do know?

Speaker 1 (40:16):
Yeah, okay cool. How would you like to be on it?

Speaker 11 (40:22):
Well, it depends on what for.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Let's say you were on it for the to Catch
a Cheater segment? Would you want to be on it
for that?

Speaker 11 (40:30):
No?

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Okay? What about a first day follow up? You know,
where you go on a date with someone in then
ghosting them and we try to find out why. Oh sure, okay, cool.
It works perfectly then, because that's what this is.

Speaker 14 (40:44):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Do you know who you're ghosting? Monica?

Speaker 11 (40:50):
I have a feeling.

Speaker 13 (40:52):
Is it Aaron?

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Yes? Are you ghosting Aaron? Because it's only been a
couple of days, but he's pretty sure you're ghosting him.

Speaker 6 (41:00):
Uh.

Speaker 13 (41:00):
I'm not purposely h ghosting him, but I guess it.
Uh has been sort of happening.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
Yes, why.

Speaker 13 (41:10):
Okay?

Speaker 11 (41:11):
Well we were our date and you know, he was
really nice and everything, but.

Speaker 13 (41:16):
He uh, on the date, he brought a rubber fish
toy was.

Speaker 11 (41:21):
A kind of like a like a like a rubber fish,
like the kind of like a kid would play with
like in a bathtub. He called it.

Speaker 15 (41:30):
He called it slippy funky. He named it Flippy.

Speaker 11 (41:37):
Yeah, yeah, he had was like I don't know, he
he introduced Slippy in the beginning and like put it
on the bar next to his beer. And I thought
it was just like him being silly at first, like,
oh he's playful, okay, you know we're at sushi, Like
he's gonna bring this like rubber fish. I guess it
was a weird time, but whatever. But he like he

(41:58):
just kept referencing Flippy and like talking up to Slippy
throughout the evening.

Speaker 13 (42:03):
And like, yeah, I didn't like I didn't want it
with me, but.

Speaker 11 (42:07):
She would like call him out because.

Speaker 15 (42:09):
It was like it was like a flipp getting stressed
out watching everybody eat it's friends.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Yeah, I mean that's kind of weird place to take
a fish.

Speaker 11 (42:18):
It was just kind of weird.

Speaker 13 (42:19):
I don't know, it was just a little weird, really uncomfortable.

Speaker 11 (42:22):
So yeah, I guess I kind of still stand.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
Did it look like he brings Flippy with him everywhere?

Speaker 8 (42:28):
That's what I would gather.

Speaker 13 (42:30):
Yeah, like it was like his like pale.

Speaker 15 (42:33):
That's really nice of you to just kind of understand
that some people have like nerves and the anxiety and
maybe Flippy's his friend. I don't know how I would
handle that. Actually, that's a really interesting situation, Monica.

Speaker 11 (42:46):
Yeah, it was. I don't know. It was like, you know, playful,
but maybe not exactly you know, my vibe. So I
was just like maybe, you know, I don't know, it
was weird.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
It's like a well, at the end of the day,
did like the three you guys hug it out together
or did you get a separate hug from Flippy?

Speaker 13 (43:06):
It did seem like she was like a third wheel.

Speaker 15 (43:09):
She was like, oh wow, Okay, outside of Flippy, Monica,
how is the date?

Speaker 11 (43:16):
Outside of that? It was fun. Outside of that, it
was like, you know, well, I think our.

Speaker 13 (43:22):
Personality graph were playful, like we're both kind of like
dorky in a far away you know.

Speaker 11 (43:27):
So I think outside of that it was it was fun.
It would just be Flip.

Speaker 1 (43:35):
Okay, Well, thank you for telling us and being honest
with us.

Speaker 11 (43:39):
Yeah, this is so crazy.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
I'll be honest with you now too. Aaron is on
the phone. He's been listening this whole time. I don't
know if Flippy is with him, but he doesn't want
to talk to you.

Speaker 10 (43:50):
Oh wow, Slippy there. Okay, no, Flippy, Flippy is not here.
He had a doctor's appointment. Kidding, Hi, listen, I'm sorry.
I sometimes ask my friends. I sometimes have a weird
sense of humor. And I know that you were.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
Telling me that you, you know, you love to talk
to your cats a lot, and so I just I
don't army pets, and it was dumb.

Speaker 8 (44:18):
I thought that.

Speaker 11 (44:18):
I thought it would just.

Speaker 8 (44:19):
Be kind of like a fun little icebreaker. I didn't
mean for it be that weird. I do not bring
Slippy with me or sleep with him or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Well, I hope you not sleep with trying to date
other people.

Speaker 13 (44:40):
Okay, I do talk to my cats, but I did
tell on my hand, you know, like alive, you know,
I don't know.

Speaker 11 (44:48):
Yeah, it's true, but.

Speaker 8 (44:52):
Hey, I mean, listener, that's are great listeners. What's wrong?

Speaker 11 (44:56):
Kind again?

Speaker 3 (44:58):
I was, it was just kind of that is a silly,
dumb joke, an icebreaker.

Speaker 8 (45:05):
I really do have a great time, though, So if.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
You are up to it, and I promise Flippy will
be in no way coming to the date.

Speaker 8 (45:14):
Maybe we could try.

Speaker 1 (45:16):
Again, Monica, would you like to go out with Aaron again?
We'll pay for it.

Speaker 13 (45:20):
Oh that's nice. Yeah, I mean yeah, there's.

Speaker 11 (45:24):
A like stuffed animals either like happing, you know, just
us and then I'd be down.

Speaker 1 (45:32):
But that's kind of cool.

Speaker 8 (45:35):
Yeah. No, listen, I Flippy you said he's already starting
to see someone else. Just let me know. And you
like to go out again?

Speaker 11 (45:46):
Okay, Yeah, Well I'm glad we got that out of
the way because I did like you, so.

Speaker 1 (45:53):
Yeah, yeah, so Jule, first, Dad.

Speaker 5 (46:04):
It's time to get down with Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 15 (46:06):
You know, it's the end of the year when everybody's
focus is on Hollywood, but more like the shows that
are coming up. So the Golden Globes are just announced,
and there's already a big drama because of the snubs.
So we'll get to those in just a second to
see if you feel invested. I mean, I think they
are a big deal. But I think it's a big
deal when you become attached to a show or a

(46:26):
movie or a character, so then these snubs become so personal.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
It's almost like rooting for a sports team one hundred percent.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
Well, because also you have like there's like some movies
and TV shows that are so good. It's like you're
so confused how they could not get nominated when other
ones are nominated, And it's like, dang, you're.

Speaker 15 (46:42):
Gonna feel that way as soon as I tell you
about the snubs you But first, before I get there,
we need to talk about the beef. So Paramount has
just launched a hostile bid for Warner Brothers Discovery. So
Netflix announced that they had acquired or bought Warner Brothers
in a seventy two billion dollar deal that was last week.
That doesn't account for the debt or all the numbers.

(47:03):
So I'm not sure that I fully understand this, but
the headline is that Paramount is launching a hostile bid
for Warner Brothers Discovery. So I think they want to
know all of their assets.

Speaker 9 (47:14):
I'm not exactly one hundred percent sure, but I think
it's something to do with just basically, they want to
know exactly how this.

Speaker 7 (47:19):
Decision was made because they lost, because they lost the bid.

Speaker 9 (47:23):
And if they have grounds to make a countersuit or
something along those lines to try to strong arm the
sale of them.

Speaker 15 (47:31):
Right, But it kind of just makes sense. I feel
like Netflix just has more money, right. I think there
was some uh distribution, or there were some meetings that
were announced, I know, like the Netflix people were meeting
with Trump and the White House and things like that,
like the week before, So it could be some finagling
going on.

Speaker 8 (47:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (47:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 15 (47:51):
The only thing that I see good about all of
this for us as streamers is that we can have
like less subscription.

Speaker 4 (47:59):
No crazy, it's gonna go Prices are gonna go up
because HBO with Max is probably still gonna keep their
platform and have some things on their platform. P Technically
it's gonna be owned by Netflix. Either they're gonna combine
the platforms and prices are gonna go up like solid,
like at least double, or they're gonna stay split and
have some things on one something's on other side, so

(48:20):
that the main company is owned by Netflix.

Speaker 15 (48:22):
Well, I don't think they're gonna stay split if they're
owned that way, especially since they've got those shows on
there now, But who knows.

Speaker 1 (48:27):
I'm not sure. My point is I would like to have.

Speaker 15 (48:31):
Yes, even if I pay a little bit more because
then I don't have to remember all the passwords.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
Who else is using this account? Like, you know, there's
just things that you have to remember.

Speaker 9 (48:39):
I don't even watch a lot of shows, but I
watch sports and sports for themselves and no, seriously, they
split there's yeah, there's like different days for different NFL
games all week on different platforms, and you have to
have a subscription to watch them. So you're sitting there,
like paying a fifteen dollars a month fee to watch
one game a week.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Well, and it's just that game too.

Speaker 15 (49:00):
It's like you have the subscription while the show that
you like is on, you watch it, then you can't
say right, and then you come back.

Speaker 1 (49:05):
You know, you're like that, it's a lot that X.
It just keeps coming back for what you love. That
says back and get that deal relationship. Don't switch from
cable to like paying for cable to all. Now we
all have like fifteen subscriptions, I know, and they still
put ads. I still have to watch commercials. Remember when

(49:26):
you had to wait weeks for your show to come on.

Speaker 15 (49:28):
It's a little bit better than back then, true, But anyway,
we'll get to the Golden Globe so clearly we're all
very invested in the shows and movies that we watched.
But the big snubs this year are Wicked and a
Stranger Things. Oh, the big nominees are one Battle after
another that's got six nominations, and the White Lotus of
course led in the TV category. But for a lot

(49:49):
of people, they're freaking out over Wicked for good and
Stranger Things not getting any type of recognition. Wow, Stranger
Things meet the deadline. I was curious about that too.
Let me rephrase myself. Wicked did get an nominations, but
not for Best Picture.

Speaker 1 (50:01):
Huh. So yeah, I don't know Stranger Things that or not.

Speaker 15 (50:05):
But maybe they'll be good for next year because they
have the season drop in January.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (50:10):
They don't have the whole season out yet, so like,
how can they even be nominated and let's just for
last season thousand years ago?

Speaker 15 (50:15):
No, this is the first year that podcasts are also
included in the Golden Globes.

Speaker 8 (50:18):
Oh wow, cool.

Speaker 15 (50:20):
I don't know as a as an audio person, as
a whatever Golden Streets are for, like, well, they're TV
and movies, it's entertainment. Golden Globes is supposed to be
the best of the best in entertainment. So I guess
podcasts now do fit there.

Speaker 9 (50:34):
Let me know, in the NFL, the NBA, and the
Major League Baseball are on there.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
That's called the spis. Oh okay, that's what's trend doubles.

Speaker 12 (50:44):
Dirty little secret?

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Hello, hello, hey, you have a dirty little secret.

Speaker 16 (50:50):
I do have a dirty little I've got a dirty
big secret.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
What is it?

Speaker 8 (50:56):
Oh?

Speaker 16 (50:56):
Man, So you recently found out that my husband's mother is.

Speaker 12 (51:03):
Not his mother.

Speaker 5 (51:05):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (51:05):
Oh, yeah, he.

Speaker 11 (51:07):
Doesn't know this.

Speaker 12 (51:09):
His mother is actually his grandmother.

Speaker 15 (51:12):
Oh how did you find that out?

Speaker 16 (51:16):
I found out because I walked into a conversation between
his grandmother and his sister.

Speaker 12 (51:26):
His sister is actually his mother.

Speaker 16 (51:28):
Oh mother, mother is actually his grandmother who he thinks
it is his sister is actually his mother.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
Oh do they know that? You know that?

Speaker 12 (51:40):
They know that? I know, I mean they know that
I may be heard. Put it that way. They got
very quiet, very quickly, and very weird.

Speaker 16 (51:48):
What I could glean from what I overheard, you know,
because I was like listening before I walked in.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
Sure I would too.

Speaker 12 (51:58):
They were being freed in law. Okay, because they're loud people,
and like.

Speaker 16 (52:03):
Basically, you know, she had him very young, his real mother,
his characters, so it made more sense like for the
times than everything.

Speaker 12 (52:14):
And I guess the mother just shot her.

Speaker 16 (52:15):
I don't know how she handled this, Like she then
moved to another This makes sense actually that they moved
to another state and the reality was just you know
that this is we're a family with a big age
gap between sister and baby brother love child, you know.

Speaker 12 (52:33):
But ye okay, so you hear me out. He's very confusing.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
It is confusing, But hear me out.

Speaker 15 (52:39):
You guys could all get very wealthy because what it
sounds like a pitch to like Lifetime or like her
Hallmark with a twist, and probably more Lifetime than Hallmark.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
But it's very interesting.

Speaker 15 (52:53):
You can either go make money off of it or
just take it to your grave because your husband's gonna
be messed up, no matter what, son.

Speaker 1 (52:58):
Sarah, you gonna tell him.

Speaker 16 (53:00):
I mean, so though I didn't think of the Lifetime
movie as an option.

Speaker 12 (53:05):
The way I thought, I have like two options.

Speaker 16 (53:07):
The thing is his quote mother end quote has always
been a.

Speaker 12 (53:11):
You know, a B word to me. So I one
of two options.

Speaker 16 (53:16):
So I can either just drop this, you know, as
a bomb on Thanksgiving so I never have to sit
through another Thanksgiving again.

Speaker 12 (53:25):
Or I can blackmail her into being nicer to me.

Speaker 16 (53:30):
I can do go to her privately and say, listen,
I know this, and if you don't want to know this,
can you stop pressuring us about having a baby, because
I do not want a child and he was fine
with the fact that I do not want a child.
And by the way, you should know you've been through
an unwanted pregnancy before, wasn't your own and I know

(53:52):
that now. You know, Like I could do that and
like do a secret blackmail that way he doesn't get
hurt and I live a nicer life with this terrible shrew.

Speaker 15 (54:00):
I guess you could do that, but that's kind of selfish.
You should think everybody should cash in a little bit,
especially your husband. I'm saying a lifetime like it would
be from his perspective when he finds out, like I
would watch that.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
But I am sorry, that's a lot. That's crazy. Well,
thank you for telling us your dirty little secret.

Speaker 12 (54:20):
Shoot, if you don't use that, I I mean you've
given me something to think about.

Speaker 7 (54:26):
Okay, okay, what's your dirty little secret?
