Speaker 1 (00:00):
No shit. Hello everyone, and welcome back to the K
Factor Everything k Pop, a iHeartRadio podcast hosted by Bomhan,
your favorite former K pop trainee, inside source and perspectives

(00:22):
every week, available right to you on Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio
app or wherever you get your podcasts. Hello, guys, it's me,
It's Bomhan, And today we have another episode of K
Pop General News and Comebacks. And there was a lot
of fun things that happened this week, and I think
we're going to cover like about like fourteen days worth

(00:44):
of stuff and it's just kind of been like passing
in and out and I've been dying to like just
talk to you guys about it. But in just general
like News and comebacks, we have Chew Chip Pop artists
who confirming her January twenty and twenty six comeback with
her first studio album, Nice fun Ets announces they're twenty

(01:05):
and twenty six world tour with sixty five shows. Yo,
that is a lot of shows. I am gonna be
there at one of those shows. If I have to
fight one of you guys for tickets, I will fight you, Okay,
I will I will scrap, I will pull hair, I
will do anything possible to get my hand on these
BTS tickets, all right, And speaking of BTS, there's been

(01:28):
a lot of fun stuff going on in the community, like,
for example, like BTS junk Cook has like his little
Justin Bieber moment where he clocks a reporter who shows
up to his private airport arrival, interrupting their question. Oh.
They're like, they show up, he's in his mask, he's
in the sunglasses, and like they're asking him like, oh
my god, no, no, da junk Cook, what do you
think about this? And he's like, how'd you know I

(01:48):
was here? Why'd you come here? And the reporter is
gagged and goes oh and the clip is over and
clock it BCS junk Cook, that's how you stand on business.
That's how you that's how you stand on your clocks
that you're standing on business. You know what I mean?
Thank you. J Hope, also from BTS, talks on a
live stream responding to a fan who asked if BTS

(02:10):
will all live together again one day, and he goes, hey, man,
we're all thirty and having seven guys live together in
their thirties in one house, isn't that easy? Man? And
that's valid they are thirty, and that is crazy to me.
When I was in high school, I think BTS was like,
like John Cook was like sixteen at the time. They

(02:31):
were at like little baby representatives. And now they're literally
thirty talking about their houses and how they all lived
separate and they're doing their sixty five show World tour.
So congratulations BTS and congratulations on growing up. On other news,
we have kind of staying on the topic of boy

(02:53):
groups and hyphen donates one hundred million one to support
flood recovery efforts in the Philippines. That's pretty awesome. That's
like their next door neighbor, and the Philippines loves K pop.
I remember the first time I went Instagram Live, the
first timent I ever got was oh my god, Mahakita
love from the Philippines, and that has held a special

(03:16):
place in my heart and I wanted to tattoo Mahakita
on my wrists because of that. So Philippines supports industry,
and the industry supports Philippines back. Thank you and Hyphen
for donating one hundred million wants to support the blood
recovery efforts in the Philippines. On other boy group news,
a little bit less serious. At Son talks about the
one nipple rule in K pop. If you guys ever

(03:38):
noticed in these broadcast shows, whenever a boy group takes
off their shirt or or has a revealing outfit, they
only have one nipple out in K pop, if they
have if they're completely shirtless, they'll tape one nipple. And
that is because if you have both nipples showing, uh,
you get fined a lot of money. So uh, at

(04:02):
Sun opens up and talks about the one nipple rule
in K pop. It's an other in other K pop
boy group news. Courtis my favorite group right now. When
I was talking about bts being young and doing all
this stuff and being just cool teenagers, that's Courtis now.
Courtis is cool. Cortis is James. His visual goes viral

(04:24):
during the American baseball game for giving just twilight vibes.
And you know what, this is the This is the Adam,
This is the autumn that I advocated for this year
twenty twenty five. This is a twilight autumn. So thank you,
Courtis James, Hortis Martin, the Tall One, and Cortis Sunghian
Boy next Doors, Jehan and Wunhawk Treasure Treasures, Choi, hun Suk, Hormuto,

(04:46):
and Yoshi are all collabing for a special stage at
the upcoming Mama. I have no idea why, but this
is six people coming together. I think it's seven. Oh yeah,
it's seven. Yeah, it's seven people coming all together to
go and do Mama, and they have no agenda, and
it's just gonna be amazing. It's just seven of the

(05:09):
most talented people right now. So I'm looking forward to
the stage. I remember literally dreaming about being on that
Mama stage. Is okay. I'm happy for you guys, And
kind of moving on to G group news, we have Espa,
the Korean ramen brand Nong Jim Shin Ramyan apparently loves

(05:30):
Karina and they did it add with ESPA, and they
just the majority of it was just Karina, and that's
so valid. I love Karina and I love Espa, And
kind of story surface around ESPA coming up around this
time winter from Espa couldn't get tickets to her own
birthday event. I thought that was pretty funny. A picture

(05:53):
showing Karina's neck being too long is also surfaced, and
it's kind of like just like fun little poking around
you know, I thought it was like kind of mean
at first, They're like, yo, why are they making fun
of Karina's neck? But it's like it's fine, Like it's
just like lighthearted poke round and it's like, you know,
sometimes you know, it's just how it is. Sometimes your
neck is too long and it happens. But I love Karina.

(06:15):
Karina is like my favorite member in ESMA and apparently
don't chip him Rummins favorite member as well. In other news,
Li serah Fim dominates Billboard charts with Spaghetti, their new
release featuring BTS's Jhope, topping the Billboard Global charts for
three weeks straight. It's pretty impressive. During all of this,
Taiwan goes viral for being iconic ass heck wearing a

(06:38):
tote bag as a top. She cuts off one of
the handles, puts it over, and now she has a
shirt that is so genius. Protest trucks, however, are being
set right now to hibe for literally the serf him
actually like a miss these controversies and all these things.
They're just advocating for better protection against Illo and I

(06:59):
regroup the Serafim. That's kind of wrapping up on this
high Blaseraphim uh topic, we have former La Seraphim member
Kim Gharam who will be changing her name and making
a comeback allegedly as part of a new group called Nova,
and that is not officially confirmed. That is alleged and

(07:22):
a pretty exciting rumor.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
However, speaking speaking of alleged news, which is why I
was which is why I was really excited to do
today's episode. Allegedly, keep that word in mind.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
In the recent week, the Day Song Awards show happened,
and the Day Song Award, if you don't know, is
one of the most prestigious music awards in Korean music ever,
Like it's like the Grammys in Korea, and everybody is

(08:01):
like chasing this Dance Song Award as like kind of
like the pinnacle award of their career. These Kpok groups
just working towards this one thing. And the recent winner
of the Dance Song Award was All Day Project, whoa
applause in the studio. Congratulations All Day Project for winning

(08:27):
the Dance Award. They beat out groups like ill It,
txt Espa, Eighties, Idol, It'sy Straight Kids, and en Hyphen,
winning the award with only two songs after debuting for

(08:49):
five months. All of these groups that I just named
won this award in years, maybe maybe ten years, like
Shiny for example. This is very impressive and has a
lot of fans talking. Before I get into the internet reactions,
let's get to the idol reactions. Here is a list

(09:11):
of people visually surprised by All Day Project winning the
Day Song Award. Members of Eighties like Son Wu Yam
and Jongho Sommu, members of the Boys Ella Tasan. These
were all people who were gagged and most funnily, All

(09:34):
Day Project themselves who all turned and looked at any
and just a little bit of context, Annie, a member
of All Day Project, is the eldest daughter of I
might be saying his name wrong, Chung Yu Kung, the
president of Shinseege and the granddaughter of Lee Jung heat,

(09:56):
the CEO of the shin Sega group. Shin s It
is one of the biggest companies in South Korea ever,
and people are saying because of the grand win that
All Day Project was able to pull out beating out
all these historic groups with only two songs and five

(10:18):
months of debut, that maybe her family has something to
do with it. Maybe is a power play. Maybe it's
a money play, maybe whatever it is, and a lot
of controversy are stirring around. And to me, originally, if
I was to hear this, I'd be like, guys, stop,
maybe they're just really talented, you don't know. But the
most funny thing is how everybody in the group turned

(10:41):
and looked at Annie. Maybe she's the leader, maybe she's
the oldest, maybe she's the safe place in the group.
You know. So all of this is alleged, None of
the facts came out, none of the real spill. Te
Bombshell Reporter article has dropped about like, oh my god,
Annie from All Day Project has bought the Day Song Awards.

(11:04):
But Ella rolling her eyes was pretty funny. But everybody
in All Day Project turning to look at her, like
the roadblocks meme, that was pretty funny. Taison the way yo,
the way it's everything is kind of lining up in
a funny way. Even one of the members of All
Day Project themselves rolled their eyes and knew something bad

(11:27):
was coming when they announced that they had won the
Day Song Awards. But congratulations All Day Project. You know
what I'm saying. I feel like if one of our
members is rich and she just got it like that,
like like there you go, we got it like that,
you know, Like sorry, guys. Additionally, I would also like
to bring you, guys the current top ten K pop
songs for November second week. First, we have Jin Don't

(11:51):
Say You Love Me. This new entry has seized the
top spot, making an immediate impression. Number two Black Pinks
Jump I have no no idea how this song is
still number two. A debuted at number two and is
still showcasing the groups enduring appeal and competitive edge. Number
three we have Katsi, one of my favorite groups. Gabriella

(12:11):
a notable entry from Katsi reflecting their established presence and
resurgence with new material. Number four we have j Hope
with the song Mona Lisa, a strong debut at number four.
Number five we have Kat's I again not with Gabriella,
but this time with Gnarley, landing at number six on

(12:33):
our Number six, we have Cortus, a rookie group with
the song Fashion, a stylish edition to the top ten.
Oh my God, I love fashion. I literally work out
in the gym to fashion every single day. I love fashion.
If if it ever goes from number six, to number five,
just know it's because of me. Number seven on our list,
we have l Seraphim with Spaghetti. Number eight. We have

(12:57):
jim In with who still holding strong speaking was still
holding Strong. Number nine. We have Rose's Apatu with Bruno Mars.
Number ten. We have v Winter Ahead with park Hill
shin a beautiful ballad, rounding out number ten for the
hits this week, Would you guys like more information on

(13:18):
these artists our songs, let us know at the iHeartRadio app.
Thank you guys for listening, and yeah, that's our current
top ten and that's it. That is it for our
news and kind of like K pop Landscape segment, and
thank you for listening. It's always an honor to have

(13:39):
you guys listening into our show every single week. Last
week we had a similar episode of twenty minutes long
about kind of like the landscape of things, and before
that we had a kind of a series of interviews
and all these things that kind of like highlighted the
voice of our podcast. And I feel like our podcast
has come such like a long way and like having

(14:00):
like highs and lows and like finding our voice and
kind of like finding where we fit in and I'm
really excited to do more interviews. I'm really excited to
do kind of more episodes like these where I guess
it just like sit down like gossip with you guys
on the radio, like whether you guys are going to
like work, or like whether you guys are just kind
of listening and sitting at home. So thank you for
being here, thank you for listening and all. This is

(14:21):
kind of like in the spirit of when this episode
was recorded. So this is kind of our last episode
before the Thanksgiving holidays, and there's so many things I'm
grateful for. I am grateful for you guys listening into
our show. I'm grateful for this, for iHeartRadio. I am
grateful for the fans who was able to come and
support me. We have finally kind of hit like this

(14:44):
upturn with our social media where things are like calm,
it's quiet all the like the haters and like the
doubters and all these things, so are kind of like
quieting down, not having too much to say, and it
kind of lets me sit down and refocus. And I
am so grateful for the the environment around me and

(15:06):
being able to like sit down and talk to my
team and being like Okay, what is something meaningful, meaningful
that I want to build right now with the time
that I have left on this earth and and I
found it and with the landscape being as quiet as
it is right now, is giving me just absolute clarity.
It's like, Okay, I don't have to like do this

(15:27):
for money. I don't have to like do this to
make sure that I can like eat. I don't have
to like do this, do this, do this. And it's
just like, Okay, what is the most authentic art that
I can create that is closest to my soul? And
there's no pressure around it. There's no one like like
being like, oh hey, like you have to post like
seven times a day, you have to like do da
da da da. You have to do da da da da.

(15:48):
It's just like okay, like just go be yourself, you know.
And I'm so happy, like I'm living at home right
now with my parents and being able to like take
little trips and like spend it to like make up
for all the long lost time because I left home
when I was like sixteen, and I haven't like talk
to my mom and like my dad and like all
these people will like at all since I left and

(16:12):
being able to like spend an extended amount of time
here and like take like little trips is like it's
it's something that's like very like a lot of people
would take that for granted. And I feel like I'm
kind of in a place right now where I'm just
kind of living life again, joining things that come and
seeing how that translates back into my art and seeing
not really worrying about like, oh, how is this person

(16:34):
going to take it? How will this person interpret it?
Because if you don't like it, like it's at the
end of the day, it's me and I'm not going
to change me. So it's like if you don't like it,
just going listen to someone else. Like I don't have
that kind of like pressure to like absolutely entertain like
everybody anymore. And I feel like that's like that's the
beauty of like being able to just sit down and
create art, Like I'm not running a campaign. I'm just

(16:55):
making art. And I think that's something I'm super grateful
for this year, and I hope I can like dive
deeper into and just explore a little bit more as
this year comes up. And I'm grateful for the blessing
and I hope to continue to extend it and none
of this will be possible. None of this would be
possible without the fans. You guys, and thank you for

(17:16):
being Thank you for listening to this podcast, giving me
a safe place to express my thoughts, see what's going
on and yeah, thank you to my team, thank you
to my friends, thank you to my community and listen it.
Hello you guys, and thank you for tuning into this
week's episode of The K Factor Podcast with Bomhan Everything

(17:40):

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
