sean yo, hit you boy? The mlbog Mark Gray and
I'm going deep for the mixtape.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Y'all.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Remember Kamara Rocker the star of the twenty nineteen College
Baseball World Series, and he was supposed to be the
next great Black Apes after that performance in the College
World Series. Remember he was two and oh he pitched
only twelve and the third innings, but he struck out
seventeen and gave up only two earned runs. As a
matter of fact, in that College Championship Finals game, he
(02:41):
pitched six and a third and struck out another eleven,
which tied the most case of any pitcher in an
NCAA Championship game at that time. But that number one
starter talent has fallen clear off the tracks because of injuries.
Remember in twenty twenty one, he was picked tenth overall
coming out of Vanderbilt, and a post draft pre contract
(03:01):
physical show that he had a shoulder issue, so he
didn't sign with the Amazings. Then in twenty twenty one,
he got the art of Scoppic surgery on his shoulder
and then was drafted by the Texas Rangers with the
number three pick. Then he tore ligeman in his right
elbow while pitching a high AI and he had to
have Tommy John surgery, and his career looks like it
(03:24):
was on hold. However, Rock is getting his thing right
now in the minors, and he's showing flashes the talent
that sprung so many folks figuring he could become one
of the new Black Aces after college. This seems to
be a make a break point for a Rocker at
this time in his career, but he's trimming favorably though.
In a recent rehab start, the Rangers were hoping to
(03:46):
get four innings and sixty pitches out of him, but
he was even more efficient as he threw fifty three
pitches thirty five with strikes. Within the next week or so,
he is expected to join the Texas Rangers, who are
jasher Lee indeed of a right handed arm, but they
have all right handed pitching, so a reporter has come
(04:07):
out that he could be a closer. Texas needs some
help in the bullpen.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Could he be that guy?
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Is he preoccupied with starting every fourth or fifth day? Well?
Can he do it every night? And will his arms
show up? But whatever the case, it's your boy. The
MLBO g Mark Gray and I'm going d for the
mixtape MLB.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Bro So Podcast, the mixtape. This is the Gambler here.
Thanks for tuning in every Friday.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Yea opis plus.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Baseball is a game of stats. I'm Sebastian Ball and
I'm the numbers Man MLB bro George Springer was one
of the most feared hitters in elate twenty tens and
early twenty twenties, known for his beautiful, sweet, and memorable
playoff performances. In the past two seasons, however, Springer had
struggled at the play but at age thirty five in
(05:02):
twenty twenty five, Springer has found new form as a
top of the line hitter. From twenty fourteen to twenty
twenty two, Springer averaged one hundred and thirty four waiter
runs created plus and total thirty two point three fangrafts
wins of replacement, making him one of the most consistent
players in the world throughout that period. In twenty twenty
three and twenty twenty four, Springer struggled, only having one
(05:25):
hundred water runs credit plus and three wins above replacement
across the two seasons, with clear batted ball struggles. In
twenty twenty five, however, he caught a second win posting
one hundred and forty one waiter runs created plus through
fifty six games, and this is no result of luck either,
as is expected. Witted on base average based on his
(05:45):
bat at ball numbers is four h five, the highest
of his career, which jows he has actually been unlucky
to not be producing even more at the play. His
twenty twenty five is not all perfect, however, as he
has only posted zero point eight wins of rud replacement
due to his struggling defense. His negative six outset of
average is uncharacteristic for the player who had only been
(06:07):
in the negatives one time throughout his entire career. This
may seem alarming, but really is more likely that he
bounces back to at least league average defense as a
fall off this big is unlikely to happen naturally. The
Blue Jays find themselves only one game out of a
playoff spot currently, and they can thank a timely George
Springer resurgence for their extra offensive firepower so far in
(06:29):
twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Ryan, keep firing, You're really the best.
Speaker 4 (06:36):

(06:56):

White Soide manager Will Venable, son of Max first year

little bit too much and the n Royals as the
White Sox to get the w on Friday, Keep firing.
(07:16):
Our next matchup takes us to Cleveland, Ohio Progressive Fields Saturday,
the Houston Astros versus the Cleveland Guardians. Hunter Brown versus
Gavin Williams. Good pitching matchup, Brown beat a little bit

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Saturday, Ryan, keep firing.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Our last matchup takes us to the Bronx New York
Yankee Stadium on Sunday, where we had the Boston Red
Sox versus the New York Yankees, one of the greatest
rivalries in Major League Baseball. Aaron Judge having a historical
season for the Yankees. Carlos Rodan pitching well for the
Pinstripes two point four era coming into Sunday the Yankees
a little bit too much for the Red Sox. Yankees

As report on the MLB bro Show podcast mixtape. Here's
where you get the latest on the Mellenated Malta Marauders
who are shoving with precision and popping out all across.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
The big leagues.
Speaker 7 (08:42):
So let's check the report. Welcome to the show. Dylan Smith,
the twenty five year old writing was called up on
May thirtieth for the Detroit Tigers and made his first
appearance on June second against the White Sox. In that
big league appearance, he was terrific, giving up one hit
on two winnings pitched. In the two game he's pitch in,
He's recorded a six point zero zero ERA and has
(09:03):
yet to record a strikeout. He was optioned back to
Triple A on June fourth to make room for a
player coming off the IL, but if another spot opens
up on the roster, don't be surprised if Smith gets recalled.
Felon Tiger's pitcher black Jack Flerty, was phenomenal in his
start on June second, going six innings and allowing one
run on four hits. Fleriti has been brilliant in his
past two starts, as he's allowed to combine six hits
(09:25):
on twelve total innings and only one run, earning the
win on both occasions. TODs Bradley not only had his
best start of the year on June first, but one
of the best performances of his career. He pitched seven innings,
giving up only three hits, one run, zero earned runs,
and fan ten batters. After giving up two runs on
five hits in five innings on June third, Hunter Green
ended up having to be pulled from his outing due
(09:48):
to a groin injury. Breen would be back on the
fifteen day IL because of it. This is the second
time in the past month that the reds Ace has
been put on the IL and for the same injury. Nonetheless,
so far this season, greenw started eleven games with the
four and three record and has a career best two
point seven to two. E. R. A. Gotsch the black
age support for this week. This is JP the rook
(10:08):
now back to the mix.
Speaker 8 (10:11):
All Star Game vote is currently opened. If you head
over to MLB dot com website, you can vote for
your starters age position. Some bros are balling out and
deserves the recognition of an All Star appearance. The versatility
in the Washington National shortstop c J. Abrams makes a
solid case for an All Star dynamic of both fans
of offensively and defensively. His excitement made field of votes
(10:33):
of the fans. Hey homebro twenty RBI talk to it
is ops and his position National League with an eight
hundred and nine.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
He's brook slack, NAPA status, blaze it. He wanted to
bring the city. That's how we do it. When CJ.
Box is fitted captain, that's up prepp in DC, It's
time to bring the city that.
Speaker 8 (10:53):
Then this weekend series of the Week is set one
of the oldest, most fierce Rivalry Hits, a three game
series between New York Gameankees and Boston Red Sox. Yankees
outfitter Aaron Judge was awarded the Player of the Month
for the month of May, drilling out thirty six hits,
eleven homers eight seen RBR. But despite the Red Sox
being three and seven in the last ten games, what
(11:14):
makes rivalry so special It's a built up animosity. If
that is displayed, you're always left with an entertaining outcome,
as we'll be serving it up all season long right
here on MLB Bros Podcast, I'm the Bone Cup, Stay hungry.
Speaker 9 (11:39):
Currently shake Handsock and Jansma putching into an odd pham

a great quater Lord, bless you with that ar fold

or just.
Speaker 6 (11:59):
To spread time with Brett's reps for MLB bro Show
podcast The Mixtape the nineteen eighties, It was a great decade.
Perhaps my favorite for music. I think it was the
nineteen nineties, though that takes the cake with bros getting
it done in the field. So much happened in baseball
in the nineteen nineties. Looking back on it, it was
(12:21):
kind of an era though for bro dominance in the outfield.
We gotta go back thirty years to find something special with.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
The Gold Glove award.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
I'm gonna take a look at three cats who could
track down those deep fly balls in the American League outfield.
One is a household name Hall of Famer. One is
a guy who'll say, oh shoot, he was good and fast.
The other was a World Series champion and it's like, wow,
I remember him. Let's take a look at the Hall
(12:51):
of Famer. First, Ken Griffy Junior. Pretty obvious he would
make the list. He did his work nice and neat
ten gold gloves for every year of the nineties, all
with the Seattle Mariners. He had range, he had footwork.
To see him patrol center field was a thing of beauty.
He of course gets his props offensively, but to see
(13:12):
him in his defensive prime, that was special. The errors
were far and few between. How about another Ken as
in Kenny Lofton, he put together a streak of his
own with four straight goal gloves from nineteen ninety three
through nineteen ninety six. Lofton he played for eleven different
teams in his lengthy Big League career, but he's best
(13:33):
known as a Cleveland Indian. That's where he led the
league in stolen bases five straight seasons. Told you he
was fast. He also became a perennial All Star during
that time. The four straight goal gloves, that's impressive. But
you know what's just as important to me. He took
command of an outfield that included Manny Ramirez and Albert Bell.
(13:56):
That's some personalities right there. Lofton, you did your thing.
That's why you're in the Guardians Hall of Fame. Y'all
remember Devon White. He finished his career with seven outfield
Goal Glove awards. The last one came in nineteen ninety five,
two with the Angels in nineteen eighty eight and eighty nine,
the others with Toronto, five of them where he helped
(14:17):
lead the Blue Days took back to back titles North
of the Border. That was a special year for White.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Nineteen ninety five, that concludes another episode of the MLB
Bro Show podcast mixtag of this week. Remember we will
gladly pay you on Tuesday. From the NLB bro Doubleheader Today,
the art of the game lies in the diversity of
the cave and the spirit of Black baseball that dates
