week of classic hits on the MLB bro Show podcast
The Mixtape. It's hard enough in baseball to be a
Hall of Fame hitter from one.

The list of the greatest switch hitters in baseball history
includes names like the all time hit King, Pete Rose,
Mickey Mannle Tim Rains, Bernie Williams, and today's classic Eddie Murray.
Eddie Murray was the man in the middle of the
order for some of the great Baltimore teams in the
nineteen eighties, including the nineteen eighty three World Series champs.
During his Hall of Fame career, Eddie was one of
the most consistent and dependable players of his era. Depending

on who us steady, Eddie is considered one of the
five greatest first basement of all time and one of
the top one hundred players ever. No one drove in
more runs batted in than his nine hundred and ninety
six during the decade. He was a fixture in the
top ten of the MVP voting during his prime, finishing
second twice, and he's one of only seven players just
to pass both three thousand hits and five hundred home runs,

joining fellow MLB bros Hank Aaron and Willie Mays, and
Murray is the only switch hitter among them. He may
have been at his best in the clutch steady Eddie
batted almost four hundred with the bases loaded and drove

season over his first twenty seasons, appearing in one hundred

for average, but for power, and on June ninth, nineteen ninety,
Murray put himself into the record books. Now as a
member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Eddie Murray hit home

runs from both sides of the plate for the tenth
time in his career and the second time of that season,
and tied Mickey Mantle's career Major League record in a
five to four win over the Padres. Murray would finish
his career with eleven such games, and his record stood
until it was broken by former Rangers and Yankees first
baseman Marked to share him. He still holds the records

for the most RBI by a switch hitter with oney
nine hundred and seventeen, and he's fourth all time with
nineteen grand slams. All this from a man who never
hit more than thirty three homers in a season over
his entire twenty one year career.

League Central Division, all five teams have the potential to
push for a playoff spot down the line, and Marcus
Stroman has powered the Cups to where they are currently
and he will be the driving factor of a Chicago

playoff run. Marcus Stroman's two point three to nine ERA

Eddie Murray was the man in the middle of the
order for some of the great Baltimore teams in the
nineteen eighties, including the nineteen eighty three World Series champs.
During his Hall of Fame career, Eddie was one of
the most consistent and dependable players of his era. Depending

on who us steady, Eddie is considered one of the
five greatest first basement of all time and one of
the top one hundred players ever. No one drove in
more runs batted in than his nine hundred and ninety
six during the decade. He was a fixture in the
top ten of the MVP voting during his prime, finishing

to pass both three thousand hits and five hundred home runs,

and tied Mickey Mantle's career Major League record in a
