hits on the MLB Bro Show podcast.

There are very few stories in baseball like the one
I'm about to tell you. It was a story so
unbelievable that both a movie and a book were made
about the tale of today's subject. Former Detroit Tigers Montreal
expos at Chicago White Sox outfielder Ron the Floor. La
Floor was born in Detroit, Michigan, and his childhood was
a nightmarish mix of poverty, drugs.

And just twenty two years of age, who since the
five to fifteen years in prison Brohn and Robert, who
served at Michigan's Jackson State Penitentiary. While incarcerated, Laflour decided
to join the baseball league organized for inmates. He had
never played team sports in his life up to that point.
A fellow inmate just happened to know a guy who
knew Billy Martin, then the manager.

Of the Tigers, and told him to check out this
guy in prison.

Martin found a way to get the Floor permission for
a full on tryout in Tiger Stadium in.

June of nineteen seventy three.

He signed him the next month to a contract that
met his parole conditions, and he joined Detroit's Class A
ball club. He had three point thirty one and forty
five stolen bases in just one hundred and two games
and jumped to Triple A. By nineteen seventy five, Ron
the Floor was in the show and he was the
Tiger starting set of fielder. Detrop was electrified by its
native son and the rookie sensation of the bird Mark

Lafloor made the All Star team in a season where
Ron Lafloor bad at three sixteen with twenty three doubles,

The diversity definitely was in the ballpark on Monday when
the Nationals lost to the Saint Louis Cardinals, but there
was a spirit in the air where you had inquisitive
white minds who were looking to learn more about the

through the prism of baseball. When prejudice strikes out, everybody

Josh Naylor has gone under the radar this season as
one of the better first basemen in baseball. Since leaving
San Diego in twenty twenty, Naylor has only progressed season
by season, showing very promising signs of being a cornerstone
in Cleveland in twenty twenty two. It may not be
obvious yet, but Naylor has taken another leap in twenty
twenty three. Last season, Naylor put up rear bests across

the board. He notched a weighted runs created plus of
one point seventeen and twenty twenty two, a jump from
just the ninety he had the previous season.

Naylor has also improved his glove once again, having four

which is less than half the innings he played last year,
which leads him to be just third among first basement

once his results begin to emulate his expected stats, that

There are very few stories in baseball like the one
I'm about to tell you. It was a story so
unbelievable that both a movie and a book were made
about the tale of today's subject. Former Detroit Tigers Montreal
expos at Chicago White Sox outfielder Ron the Floor. La
Floor was born in Detroit, Michigan, and his childhood was
a nightmarish mix of poverty, drugs.

And just twenty two years of age, who since the
five to fifteen years in prison Brohn and Robert, who
served at Michigan's Jackson State Penitentiary. While incarcerated, Laflour decided
to join the baseball league organized for inmates. He had
never played team sports in his life up to that point.
A fellow inmate just happened to know a guy who
knew Billy Martin, then the manager.

Of the Tigers, and told him to check out this
guy in prison.

Martin found a way to get the Floor permission for
a full on tryout in Tiger Stadium in.

June of nineteen seventy three.

He signed him the next month to a contract that
met his parole conditions, and he joined Detroit's Class A
ball club. He had three point thirty one and forty
five stolen bases in just one hundred and two games
and jumped to Triple A. By nineteen seventy five, Ron
the Floor was in the show and he was the
Tiger starting set of fielder. Detrop was electrified by its
native son and the rookie sensation of the bird Mark

Lafloor made the All Star team in a season where
Ron Lafloor bad at three sixteen with twenty three doubles,

The diversity definitely was in the ballpark on Monday when
the Nationals lost to the Saint Louis Cardinals, but there
was a spirit in the air where you had inquisitive
white minds who were looking to learn more about the

cultural history of Black Americans, and they were doing it
through the prism of baseball. When prejudice strikes out, everybody

one of the better first basemen in baseball. Since leaving
San Diego in twenty twenty, Naylor has only progressed season
by season, showing very promising signs of being a cornerstone
in Cleveland in twenty twenty two. It may not be
obvious yet, but Naylor has taken another leap in twenty
twenty three. Last season, Naylor put up rear bests across

the board. He notched a weighted runs created plus of
one point seventeen and twenty twenty two, a jump from
just the ninety he had the previous season.

Naylor has also improved his glove once again, having four
out of average in three hundred and sixty seven point one,
which is less than half the innings he played last year,
which leads him to be just third among first basement
and the statistic Naylor may only have a Fancraft fourth

of zero point eight, so far in the season. However,
once his results begin to emulate his expected stats, that
number will quickly shoot up. The Guardians are only two
games out of first place in a wide open Ale
Central race, and with Naylor's look potentially turning towards where
it should be and the return of Tristan mckenz each
