Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of casual chaos.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Easy Ken, Welcome to casual Oka host.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
I'm so exciting.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
God Okay, guys, So we are live from the Verbo
summer House in Lake Tahoe. Procrastinators rejoice, the early bird
is not the only one.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Who gets the worm.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Verbo offers last minute deals for private vacation rentals, which
is a plus. Who wouldn't want a last minute deal.
Verbo's last Minute deals are live on the Verbo app
and website, showing travelers nearly three hundred thousand discounted properties
they can book within thirty days of check in. A
few destinations with plenty of last minute booking options include

(00:41):
Hilton Head, South Carolina, Cape cod Massachusetts, San Diego, Porta Varta,
and of course Lake Tahoe, where we are recording this
episode inside a lovely Verbo. Finding these deals is simple
with the last Minute Booking filter and industry first for
vacation rentals. Discounted vacation rentals are also labeled with a

(01:01):
last Minute badge that displays the total amount travelers can
save on their booking. Plus, travelers never have to second
guess the total cost or worry about hidden fees. Verbo
displays all mandatory fees in the upfront price.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Can you believe we're at this house right now?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
It is so beautiful?

Speaker 5 (01:17):
It is stunning. Is this your first time in Lake Tahoe.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I've been here once, but only for a wedding and
it's just like we're here for the wedding and left,
So it's my first time experiencing.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
No, this is my first time in Lake Tahoe and
what a better way to be at this gorgeous house?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Right it's stunning.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
So we're here at the almost famous pickleball tournament. What
would you say your level of pickleball skills are probably.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Like a four out of set you honestly same.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I have so much fun playing with my boyfriend or
my friends.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
It's definitely a fun activity, definitely.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
And my dad lives in the Bahamas and there's pickleball
courts right outside of his apartment.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
So it's always a fun morning activity to do, just
to like if you're hungover.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I feel like it's a fun thing everyone can do.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Sweat out all the alcohol.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yes, a little detos for sure, a little detox. So
how have you been enjoying like Tahoe so.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Far, I've been loving it. It's been such a great time,
and like meeting everyone that's here too, And you know,
we had a great time last night.

Speaker 6 (02:17):
It was so funny.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I was at the house alone, so me and Daisy
are staying in the same Verbo rental. I was there first,
and I didn't know much information. I thought I was
staying in the house alone at first.

Speaker 6 (02:30):
So I'm like walking around.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
It's like out in the woods.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
I'm like, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I'm texting my friends like I'm like in a cabin
in the woods right now.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
And all of a sudden, I hear you knock on
the door. And then Daisy tells me that our lovely
neighbors had informed her to please lock our doors at
night because the bears will come in.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
I thought she was gonna be like, oh, like because
of people breaking in, but she was like, lock your
doors because otherwise the bears will come in.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I was like, uh, okay, thanks for information. I'm petrified
of bears. I also see way too many bears in
my development in Jersey.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
So that shocks me that they're there.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
I could have been okay without the Bears. Here at
the Bears.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Well, in our.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Kitchen, there's a label that says Bear Country.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Oh really Yeah, but I'm confused because like Lake Tahoe
is not a country, so it would.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
Have it would have made a lot of bears.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, it would have made total sense, like Bear County.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
I was like, I'm so confused, but yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Lots of bears and bears.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
So for some of you who don't know who Daisy is,
she is from Joey Grossidy's season of the Bachelor.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
How was that experience?

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I honestly, I had a great experience, and I'm really
thankful for that because I know not everybody can say that,
especially doing reality TV can go multiple ways. But I
had such a good experience and I loved all the
producers and the girls, so it was really like a
good time for me.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah. Well, I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I also feel like America fell in love with you,
which is such an amazing thing because, like you said,
reality TV could go one or two ways. Your narrative
can definitely be shifted for sure, and it all goes
back to.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
The editing room.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yeah, but I feel my friends, and I actually watched
your season religiously, like all my friends would come over.
We would watch it in my movie theater room, and
we loved you and we're so happy that you know,
you were able to make such an amazing career outside
of the Bachelor.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
I think your.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Book and you were able to.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
For yourself again too, I know, and you rekindled an
old love I did. So, Yeah, Daisy found her love
not on the Bachelor, actually outside of the Bachelor side
of the Bachelor, so yeah, tell us about him.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
So, yeah, that was fun. We met in college and
then dated for like a little under a year and
then broke up. We hadn't been together for like four
and a half years, and then after the show started
talking again and now we're back together.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
I love so.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
I think we both definitely grew up. I think when
you're like nineteen twenty, you're pretty young. I don't know
what's going on completely.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
No, Also, boys take a little longer to make too.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
We were talking about that yesterday and.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
No, definitely, I mean, I've been with my boyfriend for
so long, but yeah, we've been together for six years.
I don't really at this point, just because we've been
together for so long. We did go through rough patches,
but I don't even count them at this point.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
I'm like, cause you're like, growing up and doing that
together is sometimes hard because you're still figuring out who
you are one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
So we did break up for some time, but during
that time, I still thought that he was mine the
whole time.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
So I'm like, it's fine.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
I'm like, this is just a period where we both
honestly needed to grow up. Yeah, and you know, I
experienced things. He went to go experience whatever, you know,
he needed to get out. Yeah, we all just we
both learned throughout that experience and it was honestly the
best thing we've could have ever done.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
For sure.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
You know.

Speaker 5 (06:08):
I was really happy about that. But so the two
of you recently just moved to Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yes, So why Vegas? Was that an easy decision for you?

Speaker 3 (06:19):
So I've been in California for probably like the last
like six years, and I really liked it, but I
never loved it. And then when we got back together,
he's from Vegas, and so I love the way you
say that my Minnesota accent coming out some words, it
still hangs in there. But so then I decided to

(06:40):
move there because what I'm doing now I can kind
of do from wherever, So that's really nice, and I
have the ability to travel when like stuff like this
comes up.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So of course, yeah, do you.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Ever wish you were in a city that had more events?
Because does Las Vegas hold a lot of events for
influencers and.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Not as many?

Speaker 3 (06:58):
There's definitely some and it's been fun because I get
to work with like things in Vegas too, which has
been fun. But there's definitely one that's yeah, yes, hopefully
I'll go to that soon. Yeah, but it's really close
to La So if I ever need to like fly
there for like a few days, I'll let go and
then stack up a bunch of events and do that.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
That's so smart.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Yeah, So I like have that.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Flexibility too, So that's nice because definitely, no, there's not
as much as those in like New York and LA.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
I mean, and honestly, with events, it's kind of just
a way for us to network and just make relationships
with other brands for that and form that connection definitely,
So I mean it's always nice just having that in
person connection. So it is for sure, put yes, putting
a face to the Yeah for sure. So you guys

(07:48):
are building a house in Las Vegas. Yeah, how has
that been? Who's taking the lead?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
So I've never like built a house or anything, so honestly,
his mom helped us a lot pick out everything and
like the furniture and stuff, and then the walls are
still all completely blank. We want to like find art
different places.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
But this is so funny days he told me this last.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
But I was like, arts expensive.

Speaker 6 (08:10):
I was like, oh my god, it is.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
If you go to some of these art galleries in
New York City too, it's wild.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
I just I feel like home goods.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Yes, and good. We love home goods.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
We love home goods. Home goods will suffice.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Yeah, Like I was like, maybe I can try painting something.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
We can throw it at as.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Do any of his habits bother you, because I know
when you move in with somebody, you really find out
you know what you love or don't love about the person.
And moving in with someone they say it makes or
breaks a couple.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
And sure even when they say, like even.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
If you go on vacation, like with a friend for
a long period of time, yeah, like that after the vacation,
you'll know if.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
You're long, like, yeah, if you're going to be like
friends forever ever exactly. I would say I was a
little nervous to move in because I'm messy, but I'm
clean and he is very like clean, like everything's always yeah,
like everything's always put away, which, honestly, I think it's
a blessing that he's that way and i'm not, because

(09:19):
usually I feel like it's the other way. Yeah, But
so I was more nervous about like me and my
mess is bothering him. But I've done a lot better
of like cleaning up and stuff, and it hasn't really
been an issue. But I would say that's been like
the only thing. And then I just have like so
much random stuff and like so much clothes, and like
I need to like get rid of stuff and like
overcluttering it.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Are you guys living in the house now, Yes?

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Yeah, So I've been living in it since March, so
it's been a little bit.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
I feel like the easiest thing is go section bisection. Yeah,
so if you haven't worn it in six months, you're probably.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
Never gonna wear it again.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
To then toss it out, Yeah, Okay, I need to
do that. I'm so bad at getting rid of clothes literally.

Speaker 6 (09:57):
Sigh, no, I'm terrible.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
So basically, in my basement I have a boutique.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Quite literally.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
So I hired an organizing company to come in and
really like rework my closet. But at the same time,
a stylist that I work with came over and helped
me go through my clothes. And then recently my best
friend came over. She works in fashion. She came over
and helped me.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Okay, that's amazing.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
It made a world of a difference.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Like there were things that they were grabbing and looking
at me like I had ten heads and I was like, okay, guys.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Like really, but I like it.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Yeah, this is not that bad.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
But I have over twenty bits in my basement of
just clothes that I've gotten rid of, and now I
upload my clothes to Poshmark and Curtsey.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
That's so smart.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I just you know, I sell my clothes because half
the things have tags.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
On them, half the things I've worn once yea.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
And why not?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Like why am I going to get But it's so
smart because it's not even like Poschmark is just my
followers that are going.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Searching for random things.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
A huge like a huge range of people that search
your clothes.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
So it's taking some time for the bins to go down,
but but they're getting there.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
They're going there.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
I'm like, if I'm selling like eight things a week,
those are eight things leaving the.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
Bins every week.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Yeah, it's I don't know when I when I move out,
my mom's probably gonna kill me. She'd be like, what
are you doing with this stuff? And I'm like, please
just keep it here? Have you learned anything about yourself
since living together?

Speaker 3 (11:36):
I feel like we have like an interesting relationship when
we moved in together because freshman year of college we
were next door roommates.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
In the dorm.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
That's okay, and so like he had already seen me,
like a long time ago, back like my absolute like worst,
you know, and best, and so I'm like, I was like,
there's nothing you guys are comfortable, yeah, which was really nice.

Speaker 5 (11:59):
Do I have separate bathrooms?

Speaker 3 (12:02):
So we have a can joined like bathroom, but we
both have our own sinks? Yeah, and then we both
have or it's like mine's on one side and his
is on other sides, like our backs face each other,
and then there's like a bath in the middle, and
then we have separate toilets, which I like.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Wait, so then you could like shut the door on
your toilet.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Yeah, oh wait, I love that. So you designed that
no in the house.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Well, when we were like modeling the house there, I
were like a couple of options, but that one had
two toilets. I was like, I've never seen this, but
I like it.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
I like it.

Speaker 6 (12:34):
We can do our business separately.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Like when you go on vacation with your boyfriend for
the first time and you have to like go to
the bathroom.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
I know, it's like, oh this, especially when you're like
not fully comfortable, fully comfortable.

Speaker 6 (12:46):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Christian I first started talking my freshman year of college
and he goes, I want to go to Florida.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
I was like, wait, is my mom gonna be okay
with this?

Speaker 6 (12:55):
Is this boy like I've never done this in my life.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
And I just went to Florida with him and I
was terrified. I don't think I went to the bathroom
the entire vacation.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
I was terrified. It was like horrible. Yeah, I was like,
this is too soon.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Everyone says that though, Like when me for three months
and he goes, let's go to Florida, Like, no, pump
the breaks, let me like got comfortable.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
It wasn't fun, No, it was fun.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
I just didn't go to the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (13:27):
Yeah, building a home together in general is a big step,
moving in with your partner and everything like that.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
How did you know that you were ready for this?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
We just had a lot of conversations about it. And
we were spending like all the time we could together anyways,
so like we'd be doing our work stuff, but then
we were together like every single weekend, yeah, or if
I could like work from Vegas or if he could
work from La Like we were always like trying to
be with each other, were.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Doing longest yeah, which I feel like also made it
ten times harder and kind of probably.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
And I had like a sit easy yeah, a room
at his house that was just like filling up with
clothes and we were like, okay, I think it's die.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Yeah, I love so I feel like we're doing.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Since that what makes it even more so you want
the move to happen.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
It's almost like you guys are playing hard to get
like all the ye and.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
It's like it's sad, like say, like Sunday comes around
and you have to like fly back to her like
spot alone.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
It's like it's so depressed.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
And then like this Sunday scaries are like way higher.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Oh yeah, No, I feel like I would cry, right
sometimes I cry leaving Christian when I like go on
a work vacation because he's like, babe, it's okay, but
he even I'm not gonna lie. He's even Shedd's here
or two I'm going away for like four days.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
It's concerning.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
That's so I'm gonna make it back, okay. Yeah, but
I think it's just, you know, it's definitely an attachment
thing too. Yeah, I just feel so comfortable with him,
and I'm sure you I felt the same way that
It's like you don't you never want to really.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Leave your partner, oh for sure.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Before reconnecting with Thor, was there ever a point in
time where you regretted saying no to being the Bachelorette?

Speaker 3 (15:12):
No, I never did, And I remember, I think because
I like the feeling I had in my stomach about it,
and like it was never like an exciting thing for me.
It was almost just like anxiety.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Even though you had a good edit. What made you feel?

Speaker 3 (15:32):
I think it's just no matter no matter how the
show goes or the edit, like it's a lot of pressure.
I think when that happens to you, and it happens
really fast, and I think at the end, I just
knew like this situation, like I went out on like
a high note and I had a really great time
and a really great experience. And I remember my older

(15:53):
sister was like it, like you had such a great time,
Like why don't you just like walk away from it
now versus like getting back into it?

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (16:05):
High, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
And I also I had like a crazy couple of
years before that I'd lost my hearing. I had just
got my cochlear implant, like a few months before I
went on the show, So it was still I was
learning like a ton with that and a ton about
myself too, and so I knew, like it just what
it didn't feel right for me to go right into
something else, Like I felt like I owed myself time

(16:28):
to like just kind of breathe and take a sec.
And so no, I never have. And I remember when
they like announced it, I was wondering, I'm like, oh
am I going to be like sad, like knowing that
I said no, But like when they announced it, I
was like Okay, I feel really good, like this was
meant to be good.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
I'm so happy for thank you because I feel like,
you know, it could be a mix of emotions, like
maybe you would regret it for a second, especially like
while seeing the announcement after.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
You do the tell all.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Yeah, I feel like when they announced who the next.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Bachelora is going to be, in that moment, okay, maybe
there would be a little bit of I don't know,
I don't want to say it's like a jealous.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
Feeling, but yeah, but like we are like wondering, like
what what have And that's why I was like worried
about too. And then I don't know, it just felt right,
which I was kind of shocked that it felt so right,
but I was.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Like, okay, fact that it did feel right.

Speaker 6 (17:26):
You know that you made the right decision for sure.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Who from your season of The Bachelor are you still
close with today and is there anyone.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
That you do not talk to anymore?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
I feel like all most of the girls that I
was like really close with on the show, I'm still
really close with. I would say I'm definitely closest with Rachel,
and then Autumn and Chrissa probably and Leah and Jess too. Also,
I would say, but I still talk to like majority
of the girls too that I was friends with on

(17:58):
the show.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
So yeah, so you really don't have bad blood with
anyone from show.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Definitely not. And I think also in our season, I mean,
there was a lot of conflict, but afterwards all the
girls were kind of like everyone kind of moved past
it and was like yeah yeah. And also, like you said,
like edits and stuff can completely change everything, So I
think everyone kind of realized that too, because a lot

(18:25):
of the people, like mostly everyone that goes on the
Bachelor of the Bachelorette, they've never done reality TV or anything.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
So it's such a shock.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
So, like you, I've still shocked after next Gen and
I've been on since I.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
Was eight years old. The editing never gets easier.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yeah, so you like never know what it's going to be,
and I think, yeah, just going into it, you never know.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Yeah, no, for sure. What is your relationship like with
Joey currently? Do you still get to see Kelsey and
Joey from time to time?

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Yeah, we'll like see each other at events and stuff,
and like we're all good. Everyone's like, everyone's happy that
that ended obviously, and they're very happy there. I think
they're great together. So yeah, so we see each other
like time to time and everything's.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Good, but there's mantating a real relationship obviously.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
I mean no, like that would be straight. We like
say hi and stuff.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
But besides that, like no by God, to be by God. Yeah,
I think we all have a lot of respect for
each other.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
We're all kind of like, okay for.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Show, We're all good. Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
Are you currently watching Bachelor in Paradise? If so, what
are your feelings about it?

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yes, so I have been watching it. I didn't watch
the last episode because we were here last night.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Last night, I was actually just talking to one of
the Golden Bachelors.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
Okay, and it was Teresa.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
She was like, I'm so upset I'm missing the episode of.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
A yeah, and I was like, yeah, I heard.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
It's a little crazy because they're mixing like the older
people with the younger people. And Teresa's like, yeah, I
just feel like there is kind of like an unspoken
rule that you go for people that are your age
and respect that downtry level. And I was like, interesting, yeah,
what if they want the older Yeah?

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Now, people can go either way. I've been liking it though,
I love it. Jess is one of my good friends
and she's been on it from like the beginning, so
it's been really fun watching her. And then Leah just
showed up too, So I'm excited to watch the last
night's episode and see them.

Speaker 5 (20:49):
Was Bachelor in Paradise something that you would ever consider?

Speaker 3 (20:53):
Definitely, not just because I'm went thor of course, and
I think they are together forever. So I don't think
I'll ever do like another a dating or I won't
ever do another dating reality TV show, But you ever.

Speaker 4 (21:04):
Think about doing it?

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Maybe after the Bachelor when you didn't decide to be
the Bachelorette.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
I mean if at that time. I don't think right
after it, because at that time I was just like,
I was so like, okay, I need like a little
bit of a break, you know. But so I didn't
really think about it, honestly. And they also didn't do
Paradise that last year, like right when I was off
of it, so I was like pretty content where I

(21:30):
was at. But then but yeah, so I'll never do
like another dating show, but I would do like a
different reality TV show, you know what I mean and like.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Maybe I'll make an appearance on next trend.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Yeah, I'll come visit you.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Yeah please.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
You tease in a recent TikTok that you just finished
writing your second children's book.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
How has that process of your.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Second book been going and what made you want to
write an.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
So I think my first one just seeing like the
feedback i'd wrote it before I went on the Bachelor,
and yeah, and then when I was on the Bachelor,
it got kind of more exposed, which was really cool,
and it was fun just to see most of the
people that reached out about it were like parents or kids,
and parents would send me like pictures of their kids

(22:21):
with like cochlear implant. And I did some book signings
and kids would come and they'd be in a wheelchair
or they'd have a glass eye. So it was just
all these things that I didn't realize, you know, like
me having hearing loss can relate in other ways too,
and so I was kind of like I want to
expand that and like keep doing it.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Well, I feel like you what children know, like it's
okay to be a little different in your own way.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
Yeah, and you're always still accepted.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
And yeah, it was shit was really moving.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
And I think the thing too is like I know
when I was getting it, I was like, oh, this
is going to make me like look different, like feel different,
And it is a scary thing when you have something
that not everybody has. And so I feel like just
being that outlet if I can make them feel more seen,
because I know how that felt like, and you're kind.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Of going through that as a child too.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
I feel like it's just all very difficult while even
going to school.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
For sure, kids can be so mean too, so mean.
So yeah, so I just wanted to keep doing it.
So it's been fun, still working on it, working with
an illustrator, so getting it exactly, like fine tuning it
and everything. So I'm hoping before the new year it'll
be out.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Love that. Congratulations you.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
What is next for you? Do you see you and
thora getting engaged anytime soon? And what would be your
ideal timeline?

Speaker 3 (23:46):
I honestly, I don't think I really have an ideal timeline.
I feel like when you put timelines on things, it's
just like for sure, stresses people out, you know, I mean.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
The house is being finished, yeah, yeah, I feel like
the next step is probably engagement.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
But it's when the time comes.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
The time the time comes, so we'll see like not
rushing at anything, you know. Yeah, and then like career wise,
I'm getting into a lot more public speaking. I love that,
so that's really fun. So this fall I'm going to
a few colleges and speaking.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
So I even feel like if you went to elementary
schools and middle schools, it would.

Speaker 6 (24:22):
Be pretty amazing.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, even just reading your book to definitely like kids
in elementary school.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
Yeah, I feel like that would.

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Be and I do that a lot, Like I'll go
in especially when I'm back in Minnesota. I'll like going
to schools and I'll read to like kids from like
kindergarten to probably like third grade.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I read to a.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Lot, and usually there'll be like one kid in the
class that has like hearing aids or a cochlear implant.
So that's been really cool too. And then all the
kids are like talking to them about it too, so
I feel like it makes them like more involved too,
which is fun. So yeah, I really like doing that
stuff because it makes me feel like perfect, i know,

(25:00):
and like I'm doing something.

Speaker 5 (25:01):
Of course, so doing stuff like that is a lot
more rewarding.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Yeah, definitely, well, Daisy.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
Thank you so much for coming on Casual Chaos.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
This is such a fun episode.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Thank you for having met.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
With your second book.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Finishing your new home and hopefully an engagements. Thank you
so many amazing things to come, all the good things,
all the good things.

Speaker 5 (25:28):
Thank you for having me
