Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of Gia Diaries.
I am back from Lake Tahoe with iHeartRadio. This trip
was amazing and I got to meet so many people
from the Bachelor World and even new faces from the
Bravo World. So we had a fun filled week of
(00:23):
a bunch of podcasts. I filmed so many episodes for
Casual Chaos as well as Jia Diaries, and I was
also working on something new with two people, one from
the Bravo World and one.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
From the Bachelor World.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
So we have a really, really fun and exciting project
coming up that I can't wait for you.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
All to see.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
I think you're all going to be kind of shocked,
especially with the person that I'm doing it with from
the Bravo World. It was my first time in Lake Tahoe.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
It was beautiful. I love I loved the.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Greenery and there were just so many mountains and trees.
I mean, you can get a Christmas tree here for days,
so many alpine trees. It was crazy, and the lake
was stunning. The lake water is crystal clear. It was
so beautiful and just watching everyone doing all the water activities,
(01:25):
it just felt like such a family oriented place. So
many people were water rafting and taking boats out on
the lake.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
It was really so stunning.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
I'm sure the hiking is amazing here, and the town
was so cute. I felt like I was in like
a little Western fantasy. There was just it reminded me
of like old town. It was just it was so cute.
I definitely would love to come back here again for
a weekend, or even come back here in the winter
(01:59):
for skiing. So it was beautiful. Seriously, pickleball. We played
so much pickleball, and.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I'm pretty good. I had a couple good rallies.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Wouldn't say I'm like top tier, but did definitely have
a couple good rallies with Mercedes, so that was fun.
I was staying in a Verbo with Daisy from The
Bachelor and Mercedes from The Bachelor. So definitely made a
bunch of new friends on this trip and formed some
(02:31):
great friendships. So that was really nice. Also for all
my fans in Nevada. So sorry for saying Reno.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
I fully thought I.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Was flying into the Reno airport. I had no idea
it was Reno. When I look at Reno, I mean,
coming just from an Italian background.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Reno is Ariano not Arino.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
So I fully said in my travel blog that I
was flying from Phoenix to rennow, and I mean, I'm
so happy that you guys thought it was funny, because
I really thought.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I was saying it the right way, But now I know.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
I flew into Reno and I drove to Lake Tahoe.
So we arrived in Lake Tahoe on Monday. I had
a pretty long travel day because I came from Jersey,
so I flew out of Newark. Then I flew to Phoenix,
and then I had a connecting flight from Phoenix to Reno,
(03:32):
and I arrived in Reno, and then we.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Drove to Lake Tahoe.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
We had about an hour and a half to get
ready and then we went to a dinner with everybody.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
That was here on the trip.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
So there was a lot of people from the Bachelor,
Bachelor Nation, former Bachelor Ben Higgins, and former Bachelorette Trista Sutter.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
There were also.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
People from The Golden Bachelor here, so that was super
nice to connect with them. I connected with Theresaist and Leslie.
They're like the cutest ever, and they were here from
the Golden Bachelor. It was really cool. Just to kind
of see their outlook on love, and I.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Don't know, I felt so bad for Theresa.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
She was like, I'm probably never gonna find love because
men my aid want women that are fifteen years younger. Meanwhile,
she looks incredible. She takes care of herself so well,
like the way she eats, the way she exercises, it's just.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
She looks incredible, So I really hope she finds love.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Mercedes Daisy Kent.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Then there was some Bravo people like Emily Simpson and
Kelly ben Simone.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
So we had a great time.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Definitely really combined the Bravo world in Bachelor Nation. I
definitely am a fan of The Bachelor. I watch it
on and off, though, so I.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Watched Daisy's season full through.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I feel like I watched it more religiously in high school,
just like I watched Dancing with the Stars more religiously
in high school, but always was on in my house.
My mom and I would watch it when I was younger,
and was definitely always a show that I knew about.
But my friends and I did watch Daisy season all
(05:28):
the way through. So Jersey Shore versus Lake Tahoe totally different.
Lake Tahoe is such a chill vibe. I feel like
it's so family oriented. I know the Jersey Shore is
as well, but like just the atmosphere here, there's a
lot more nature mountains the lake versus the ocean. The
(05:49):
lake is crystal clear, even though I have to give it,
I have to give the Jersey Shore ocean some credit.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
It has been looking really blue.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
It has it's not been looking dirty, it's been looking
pretty clear. But no, it just doesn't even compare. Like
the scenery there is so beautiful in Lake Tahoe. It's
actually breathtaking. I'm gonna post a recap on my Instagram
of just some of the photos that I took. It's
(06:19):
really really beautiful here. The Jersey Shore doesn't give this
wow effect. One of the best parts about my job
is that I get to travel for work and I
really can work from anywhere.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
The downside of it is obviously leaving my family and Christian.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
He always drives me to the airport when I'm leaving
for work trips, and I don't know why I get
so sad when I leave him, but I guess that's
a good thing.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
And I'm super excited to now be back home with
him and my family.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Communication is definitely key while traveling for work, and because
I was in Lake Tahoe, I was three hours ahead.
I would call him first thing in the mom on FaceTime.
I pretty much facetimed him up until I had to
leave for work, and throughout the day I kind of
just give him a little updates on text. I'm not
a big texter, like, I'm not one to send paragraphs
(07:11):
on what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
I definitely prefer a phone call.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
So if I had time throughout the day, I would
give him a little FaceTime call or call him and
just give him a little update.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But where I really unpack.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
My days and tell him all about it are in
the morning. And it was pretty hard at night because
of the time different, so he was already sleeping, so
then it was mainly in the morning just to kind
of give him that little recap on what I'm doing
for the day and give him the recap from the
day before.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
But yeah, no, not a big texter, So it's kind
of just like little.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Text like oh yeah, going on the vote now, doing
this now, filming a podcast now, but very minimal and
on text.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I just hate texting I'm such a phone call person.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
But I mean, I'm so blessed for the career that
I have and what I do. I get to go
to amazing places like Lake Tahoe and really experience the world.
So thank you, iHeart for taking me to Lake Tahoe.
This was definitely a memorable trip and I can't wait
to go back. Never been to Lake Tahoe before and
(08:18):
now I can't wait to go back. So super exciting.
All Right, and that was it for this week of Geodiaries.
I'll see you next week.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Love you guys. Bye.
