Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of Gia diaries.
Someone hit my car and I don't know who it was,
but I was basically on my way to Pilate's this morning,
and basically every time I would break, like stopping at
a red light anything like that, the parking detector like censor,
you know when you get too close to a car
and your car starts beeping or if you're going to

(00:23):
hit something would constantly be going off and I was
nowhere near anybody, so and it was going off on
the left side of my car, like the left corner,
like by my bumper, like by my headlight, and I
was like what It was pissing me off so bad
because I just kept hearing beeping noises every time I

(00:44):
hit my brake. So then I was at the post
office and I was like, wait, let me go check
my car.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Somebody hit my car. No idea when this happened.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Because today it was the first day that I drove
my car. I was an LBI over the weekend. I
didn't get into an accident. Somebody must have hit it,
I guess last week. So there's no way of me
really going to a store or anything like that and
asking for the camera footage. I'm just I don't even
remember what I did last week. So yeah, somebody hit

(01:17):
my car. It's really really, really annoying and selfish. Somebody
should have called me or done something, left a courtesy
note or like name a number something, because now I'm
paying for my car.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
And I've never done that.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I've gotten into like a little fender bender, but like,
did it properly and stopped, called the police, went through
insurance like normal protocol. But I mean, knock on wood,
I've never gotten into a serious accident before, and I've
only ever gotten into a little fender bender one and

(02:03):
the person was with me on the scene, so it
was a lot easier to take control of the situation
and know what happened. So I honestly feel like maybe
I was in a parking spot and somebody backed up
into my car, or maybe was pulling into a spot
and kind of swiped it. Because it's not a big dent.
I don't really even think it's dented at all, but

(02:25):
they definitely hit a censor on my car, which is
why that noise keeps going off. So yeah, now I'm
gonna have to fix the car and it's just like, honestly,
so good, annoying and rude. So whoever hit my car,
I'm really really mad at you. This weekend, I went
to Long Beach Island. My friend's family rents a house

(02:46):
every year for the week, and I was so happy
to go down there.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I grew up going to LBI.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
My family had a shorehouse there from when I was
three years old up until eighth grade, and then my
mom down there for us when I was a freshman.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Then, you know, as I.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Started going through high school, everyone was always down in
the Lava at Ortley area, which then made us start
renting in Lava La and Ortly and now I rent
with my friends in the Manusquan Belmar area. But I
grew up going down to LBI. It is so beautiful
down there. The downside is it is a pretty far

(03:25):
drive from my house at home. It is double the
time to get to LBI than it is to get
to the Manusquan Belmar area, So if you're in traffic,
you're in the car for over three hours and it's
just a lot of driving.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
But I love LBI. It's just such a beach town.
It's so cute.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
The beaches are gorgeous and the houses are incredible. Everywhere
you look, the houses are beautiful.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
They have their.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Famous spots like Skipper Dipper, the ice cream place, the
Sea which is a hotel, but they have a pool
and beach bar that is connected to the beach, so
we would go there all the time. When I was younger,
they have Fantasy Island and it's nothing like the Seaside Boardwalk.
It is kind of mainly for younger kids. So that's

(04:18):
why I loved growing up in LBI, because it's such
a family town and it's a really really cute spot
to bring your kids. So the rides are all like
baby rides, and they have Bay Village which is filled
with a bunch of shops and cute little food places.
And then when I was younger, they had this place

(04:41):
called Ketch, which was the best teen club ever.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
We would take the LBI shuttle up.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
And down the island and we would go to Ketch,
and I mean, ultimately it was a makeout fest, but
I loved it. I had like the best time at
ca which. Ever, now they turned Ketch into Burd and Betties,
which is a twenty one and older bar, and we
actually ended up not going to Burden Betties that night

(05:10):
because we went to Daddio's, which is a hotel but
it has a rooftop and restaurant. We ended up going
to Daddio's and we just feasted. Me and my friend
sat there, ordered so much food, got so full, and
we were just like, now, let's go back to the house,
watch a movie, drink some wine. And that's exactly what

(05:34):
we did. So we just ate great food, hung out
and missed out on Burd and Betties, and Kevin Jonas
ended up coming to Burd and Betties that night that
we decided to go home be fat asses and not
go to Burd and Betties.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
So my friends were so upset.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I wasn't that upset because I did just see the
Jonah's brothers at MetLife, so that kind of helped a
little bit. But yeah, of course the one night we
decided to be fat asses and just pick out and
not go out, Kevin Jonas shows up at Burden Betties.
But yeah, we went to the local, which was this

(06:14):
really cute coffee shop and had really good breakfast sandwiches
and pastries and it almost was like a Italian market,
like they had Rainbow cookies can only cookies. It was
kind of a mixture of like a market and a
coffee shop.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Super cute. They had live music. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
LBI is just such a good vibe. Since I've been
down there, it pretty much has the same staple restaurants
and places. I think they put up a couple new
hotels like Hotel LBI and Redid the Ron John, But
it was just so nice to be.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Back down there. It really is so beautiful.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Next summer, I definitely want to just do a weekend
down there and just make that a part of my
new summer, like kind of make that another add on
to what I want to do in the summers, because
I really do love it down there.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
It's so nice, so peaceful. So today, this.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Morning, Gabriella left for college. She's going into her junior
year at the University of Michigan. She's absolutely killing it
and I couldn't be more proud of her. She's living
in an apartment, she has her own bedroom, her own bathroom,
so it's definitely a step up from living in the
sorority house. Even though Gabriella is such an overachiever. So

(07:35):
I don't know if you guys, remember, but when I
don't know for whoever was in a sorority, A lot
of the things that you did ran off of a
point system. So you would go to philanthropy events, events
that the sororities were doing, other sorority events, other events
that the fraternities were holding, anything like that, and basically

(07:56):
rack up your points so that you didn't have to
be sober to party, or so that you basically like
met your quota for the semester and didn't get judice
old or anything like that. So freshman year, Gabriella grinded
so hard for these points that she got her own
bedroom in her sorority house her sophomore year. So that

(08:22):
was all she wanted because this one room there was
a million bunk beds, dressers everywhere, and I'm sure it
was so fun, but Gabriella has severe OCD does not
like anybody touching her things is so clean, she would
have went insane, Like it would have been very unhealthy

(08:43):
for Gabrielle's mental health if that was her living situation.
So the fact that Gabriella made it through the freshman
year dorms, thank god. She has had a amazing roommate,
and they had such a good relationship. And her roommate
like in the morning, they would make their beds and
Gabriella would have to, you know, fix her roommate's bed

(09:05):
and then like move things over on her roommate's desk
to make sure they were perfect. Like she's just so
cute but so particular about things. Definitely a little OCD
And that is why she grinded for those points her
freshman year to get a single in the sorority house.
Her sophomore year, she did that, she achieved it. Loved
her room, loved having her own space. Now she's living

(09:27):
in an apartment building and has her own room and
her own bathroom because in the sorority house they did
all share bathrooms.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
There's just like.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Little things that Gabriella would never allow, like in her room.
So for example, you have to take off your shoes
before entering Gabrielle's room, even if they're like indoor slippers,
they need to be taken off before entering her room.
So if Gabriella lived in the bunk bedroom in her
sorority house, I don't know how she would have survived.

(09:58):
Everyone had to take their shoes off before entering her
freshman year dorm. Like I just it wouldn't have worked.
So this is why she grinded. She hustled for those
sorority points. And I will talk more about this on
my new podcast with Daisy Kent and Jen Fessler called
Dirty Rush because rush.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Is hot and heavy right now.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
A lot of colleges are going through their rush process
right now. We have been seeing all of the tea
on TikTok. But yeah, so I'm super happy for her.
I cannot wait for her to crush her junior year.
And she's turning twenty one this year. Gabriella turns twenty
one in October, so she really wants me to go

(10:41):
visit her. So I think I am going to go
visit her for her twenty first.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
She loves her apartment building.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
She has a little coffee shop, some conference rooms that
she could work in, so I'm super excited.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
She left early this.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Morning and now she is in full organizing mode, unpacking
and organizing her new room. Gabriella does the move in
and move out process by herself. Milania needs a little
bit of help. She needs a little more hands on help.
So my mom is leaving with Milania to move her

(11:15):
in at Tampa, so that.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Will definitely be sad.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
The dynamic is just so different. Gabriella and I spent
a lot of time together this summer. Her and I
are super close, and Milania just keeps the house lively,
just keeps the house active. So with both of them gone,
it is always sad. And now it's just me and Audriana.

(11:43):
I'm definitely gonna have to help Milania. I know that
for a fact. When she was leaving last year, I
helped her pack her entire room, go through her entire closet, and.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
She said that she packed apparently one suitcase.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Already, So I know I am going to be on
Malania duty before she leaves. But it, honestly, I love it.
It gives us the time to just kind of spend
time with each other and turn off anything else and
just you know, sit and chat. So I take.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Advantage of all of it.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
There has been a lot of articles about Bella Thorne
proposing again to her fiance, and I just feel like
she shouldn't even have to respond to the fans criticism
because honestly, I don't think it's strange. I don't think
it's weird. I honestly think it's another way of showing

(12:47):
like an affirmation of love. And they've been together for
three years. He proposed to her a year ago, and
on their one year anniversary of being engaged, Bella proposed
to her fiance again. And even though she got down
on one knee, I feel like she was probably just

(13:09):
showing him words of affirmation, showing her appreciation towards him,
and just making him feel loved. It was simply just
an act of love.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
And it was also different. A lot of people don't
do that.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Obviously, it's out of the norm to see a girl
proposed to a guy, but they were already engaged, so
she was really just celebrating their engagement and the one
year mark of them being engaged. I really don't think
it's that crazy. I don't know, is that just me?

Speaker 2 (13:42):
She said to all the critics.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
The comments on my post are hilarious, totally split down
the middle. Half of you are like, let's normalize proposing
to your partner.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Other half is like, yeah, girl power.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
This is the sweetest I would say, I think now,
as especially in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
I don't know my for you page has been flooded with.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
This how men in twenty twenty five are like the
girls in the relationship, Like girls are carrying their bags.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
What the hell's going on with that?

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Like the men should be grabbing your bags and carrying
them for you. You should be empty handed, opening up
the car door for you. Girls are opening up the
car doors for themselves. Like just all of these random
acts that a man should be doing for a woman.
I've been seeing that all over my for you page
and I feel like that's so crazy, and it really is.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
What's happening right now, and men fix that.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Fix that be a gentleman, learn how to treat your
woman and treat her like a princess.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
What Bella did?

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I feel like that was really just showing her love
towards her man, showing appreciation towards him, because sometimes the
girl also needs to show their love towards their man,
and I feel like girls lack that sometimes too. They
always expect the man to do everything and not show

(15:04):
their man love.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
And our men need love too.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Like sometimes I'll complain about things to Christian and He'll
be like, well, I want that too, And I think
it's different sometimes when you know you're thinking about it
in a girl brain, You're like, Okay, well, my man
should always do this for me. My man should always
be like this towards me. But they have feelings too,
They want to feel loved, they want to feel appreciated.

(15:30):
So that was this was probably just a really sweet
gesture of her showing her appreciation to her man, and
I really love it. Did she have to get on
the name? No, I don't think that was fully necessary,
but she probably like got on one knee, told him
how much she loved him and everything like that, and

(15:52):
I bet you they had a beautiful night. Me and
Christian's love language is definitely words about for me and
physical touch. I am a person that needs to be
touched and just feel loved. So if we're laying in
bed and like he doesn't ask to cuddle with me,

(16:13):
or we're not cuddling, I like feel so lonely. So
I like always need to even if even if his
shoulder is just touching me, Like that's totally fine, because
you know, sometimes when your man's arms around you, like
his shoulder hurts or something happens where like he's uncomfortable,
that's fine, But like I always need to just feel
touched and just close to him. So I would say

(16:37):
physical touch is definitely our love language, and words of affirmation.
As much as I love to be told that I
am beautiful and I'm doing a great job and that
he's so proud of me, he does too. So I
totally get Bella's entire approach on doing this for her man.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Because.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
I always do that for Christian, especially around Valentine's Day.
In the early years of our relationship, I would always
make him something and I still do. Cards are a
big thing. Christian gives me a card for everything, and
since he started doing that for me, I did that
for him. So he always writes me the most beautiful

(17:26):
cards during the holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and I save.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Every single one of them.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
But for me, I would, especially around Valentine's Day, I
would always make something, whether it was a jar of
all of our memories or it was one of those
little boxes that you open and each layer is more
pictures of, you know, things that we've done. I've made

(17:56):
him books and scrap books and a bunch of things,
and he has all of these things.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Last year, for Valentine's.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Day, I went to Buildebert and I built him a
little Roses teddy bear and if you hit the paw,
it's me saying I love you Christian.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Happy Valentine's Day.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
So no matter what, I always give him something on
Valentine's Day that shows my love and appreciation. And I
feel like that's really important because guys don't receive that
too often, so it's nice to hear it every once
in a while.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Okay, and that is it.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
For this week of Gea Diaries. I'll see you guys
next week. Love you guys.
