Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Welcome to the Almost Famous Podcasts.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
It's been here today and I'm back with my amazing
cost from The Golden Bachelor. We're celebrating The Golden Bachelor
right now because it is airing September twenty fourth, We're
gonna be watching it.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Susan Knowles is here with me. Susan, welcome back.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
So excited to be here again and can't wait for
the day. Can't wait because after being on it, just
to see another person do it, it's so exciting.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
It is exciting.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
It is always fun to watch seasons after you, you know,
how longer have the stress. It's not about you, it's
about a whole new group. Yes, we're here breaking down
headlines today, Susan.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
A couple of.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Them are just more lighthearted and some of them are
a lot. They just they hit differently now today than
they ever have. The first one is this Bachelor in
Paradise is Jade Roper marks two years since missed miscarriage.
She's obviously married to Tanner. They met on Paradise. They

(01:09):
do have a beautiful family, but Jade has been outspoken
about struggling and navigating life since a miscarriage.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Yes, and you know what, I admire her to be able,
and I think it's a wonderful thing to be able
to talk about it because you reach so many people
going through the same thing. You don't know how many.
And it's sad, but it's real.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
It does seem today and I know we say this.
I think it is so helpful that people have been
more open about it because it does help you feel
less alone. It helps all those feel less alone, and
it helps you feel less alone as the person because
others are reaching out. But never never easy and always difficult.

(01:57):
Next headline is Colton Underwood explains how his virginity became
a defense mechanism for his sexuality. Obviously, Colton was the
bachelor after appearing on Becka Koufer's in season of The Bachelorette.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
He's so happy now though he is. He's got a
baby and a husband. We did a little thing together
when I was out in California. I love him, but
to come out like that on the show, that was big.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
It is a big deal. If I'm remembering right too.
When he was the bachelor. Part of his Bachelor's story
was that he was a virgin, right, Yes, yes.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
And there's a reason why he didn't even know.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, he was covering it up. It was a defense mechanism.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
He said this.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
In Off the Vine with Caitlin Brissow, Katie Bigger addresses
pregnancy rumors and chairs family planning update. Katie is married
to Zach.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Yes, there's a great couple. Great couple. I know them personally,
and they ran away and got married and I just
love them. I really love them. But I've didn't know
about the pregnancy rumors.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
I haven't heard about the rumors either until this. But
Katie is quoted here saying they're hoping to start a
family and the not so distant future maybe cooking one up.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
She says next year.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
They want to be a little selfish with their time
and enjoy a new home and married life, which I
think is great. I will say having a baby just
enhances everything. But I would never trade those first like
two and a half three years that Jessica and I
were together before we started planning.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah, well they've been together for a few years, haven't they. Yeah, so,
and she says something like putting the sonogram picture next
to the wedding photo.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Yeah, good for you, Beca Tilly reveals fiance Haley wrote
a book based on their love story.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
How sweet is that? You know there's another book coming out?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah, yes, we're all putting books out.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Tryumph ones that matter, ones that mean something to us,
and this one obviously does.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
It's called Where There's Room for Us. It's a novel. Now.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Becca and Haley have been together for a while now.
She was on Chris Sol's season of The Bachelor and
then came on my season of The Bachelor. She did
find love with her girlfriend, Haley. Yes, they got engaged
just recently.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
And to pick the cover with the two of them
kissing over the bridge, it's so romantic.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
That's what it says in here.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
The quote is, it's a beautiful illustration on the cover
of two characters kissing over a bridge. Becca is one
of the best people to come out of the franchise.
Just an absolute joy to be around. Yes, and it's
always very exciting. It is to hear good updates.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Okay, I have to put you on to these leggings
been obsessed with lately. They're from this brand called Tona
and get this. The designer behind them also created Lululemon,
so they know what they're doing. These leggings are next
level think butterysoft, super flattering and very comfortable, but they're

(05:18):
also very supportive in the right places. So I started
wearing them when the kids and I go out to play,
and now I'm basically living in them twenty four seven.
And here's what makes them even better. With every payer
you buy, it helps fund a mental health counseling session
for a teen in need. Isn't that so awesome? Tona

(05:40):
is on a mission to end teen suicide and self harm,
which we think is so important and so incredible of them,
So we partnered with Tona to give you twenty percent
off your order and free shipping. So head to tonaactive
dot com that is tnaactive dot com and use code
iHeart for twenty percent off in free shipping.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Gabby Wendy and wife Robbie went on a romantic honeymoon. Recently.
They went to Fire Island Island. Where is that New York?

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Is that a romantic What it is?

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Fire Island in New York. Gabby took to Instagram and
captioned and got kind of shared all the photos from
their honeymoon.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
At the beach and beating and dance and the fire
Islands a party, is it? Yes, it's like you know
when you go down the shore. What's we call it?

Speaker 3 (06:44):
She was hosting last night. We saw Gabby as she
was hosting the VMA's Nice. Gabby has obviously been all
over the place here recently since her time on Traders.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
It really blew her up.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Yes, I loved.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
This.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Next headline is another one that just is really difficult
for me to read. Andrew Firestone announces divorce from wife
Avana after seventeen years together in three kids. I've been
around them many times. I know you and I were
both around them, yes, just last year. I love the
two of them. Andrew Firestone has one of the people

(07:24):
that I've looked up to the most through my bachelor journey.
It shocked me, honest, I have no other words for
this other than it really surprised me.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Because you never saw anything, you know what I mean.
They it looked like a perfect but obviously they're two adults,
and they both agreed that they could be happier alone.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I mean Andrew shares this after much reflection in many
hours of counseling we have decided that we can best
serve our children and honor that commitment to family by
moving forward separately as co parents. That was posted on
his Instagram just last week.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
And he was really grateful for the seventeen years that
they did have. So they have a good relationship and
beautiful family and they always will.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
It's yeah, I mean, it's just it's surprising and shocking because, yeah,
you don't see it coming, and then you get on
Instagram one day and and you know it's announced.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
And Alisha, Yeah, she got engaged.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Right, Alisha Holloway gets engaged in beautiful beachside proposal. This
is our final headline. We first met her on season
twenty five of The Brangeler.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Right, wow, that was quick.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Yeah, I mean, she says her fiance's name is Juan,
and she says in her Instagram caption A million times Yes,
my best friend, my soulmate, my twin flame, the absolute
love of my life.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
I cannot wait to be your wife. It's me and
you forever, baby. I love this love is in the air.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
But I didn't see that, I really I missed it.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
Yeah, I didn't see it either.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
And you know a lot of these headlines today are
a little more solemn, and so it's good to end
on a good note.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Congratulations to Alicia for getting engaged to her. I love it, Susan.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
That's all the headlines we have for today. We'll be back,
obviously talking about more of the Golden Show coming up.
We're gonna be breaking down all the big things happening
in Bachelor Nation. If you haven't listened yet, Almost Famous
did participate in the reunion of Bachelor in Paradise. We
got to interview each wonderful couple or contestants if they

(09:41):
weren't still in a relationship.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
The learned all couples. Yeah, second half got eat it
too a little bit. I was waiting for the juice man.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
There was a slow roll and then all of a sudden,
voices started coming up and feeling started to getting shared.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
Yes, I know, as you sit and listen sometimes you
feel like, oh, I can imagine having your feelings hurt,
you know, But they were speaking their truth.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Let me ask you this, Susan. Yes, you watched it back,
you listen to it. You're obviously you weren't. There was
there ever any fomo.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Yes, and here it was. Actually when I heard Part two.
As a matter of fact, I said, I'm going to
share this on my podcast Golden Hour. I was being
real when I was asked to go. I just started dating. Okay,
we were dating those people all, just admit it.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Part two.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
They were dating. So I could have went on the show,
but but I missed just being with all the people
that part. Yes, I was envious of that, but my
heart wasn't into it, and I didn't think like they
had enough goldens to choose from. I was really hoping
for some new blood or yeah, there wasn't. Everybody was

(11:09):
getting involved with people Jones season, all the guys like
they were all so, yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
It is what you want to see also though, so
it's a win win win if you find love or
you go on the show, but we miss you there,
So make sure you go back and tune into that.
Until next time, I've been Ben and this has been Susan.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
We'll talk to you soon.
