The end is near! We're just a week away from the finale of Bachelor in Paradise, but first, Ashley is joined by Bob Guiney to recap this week's penultimate episode.

The contestants endure bugs, daggers in the back, and more we won't mention in the challenges this week. Spencer and Jess might be hitting the brakes, but Ashley and Bob have high hopes for Alexe and Andrew.

Plus, the cash prize is on the horizon, with the cryptic question of "love or money?"

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hey guys, welcome back to the Almost Samos podcast. It's
me and today we've got og bachelor Bob breaking down
the latest episode of Paradise with me. Hey, Bob, thank
you so much for doing this while Ben is away
in Italy getting so much deserved rest of his family.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yes, thank you, Ashley. I it's exciting to see you.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
So nice to see you too. So this episode I
rate it very highly. Maybe my favorite episode of Paradise
this season. What are you about you? I?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
You know, I was it was like drinking through a
fire hose because there was so much going on in
this episode, which I was. I was kind of like
of the mindset where I was like, Oh my god,
how much more can they squeeze into this thing?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
And it was kind of crazy.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
So yeah, for me, I won't say it was one
of my favorites, but I will say it was definitely.
There was a lot going on, and so in that regard,
I found it pretty interesting.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I think I was really starting to root for couples.
And when I say couples, I really mean one who
is your Before I revealed my favorite who's your favorite
couple right now? Who do you feel is the most
genuine and long term Well.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
God, it's tough because my favorite couple was still Keith
and Kathy, which I know is not gonna be I
just I love that they have like just taken on
the role of being like counselor to everyone, which I
kind of thought might happen. But you know, I found
myself today for whatever reason, finding the whole Spencer and.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Is it Spencer and Jess.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Is that that?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I found them to be a lot more interesting today.
But I actually started rooting for Andrew and Alex more
today exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
That was me.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I was like, Okay, wait, they are a serious couple
and I care about their well being. Yeah, They're the
ones that I'm rooting to go all the way. There's
a friendship foundation there for sure. I think that they
are going in the right direction upward. And I think
Jess and Spencer perhaps they're putting a little like storyline

(02:11):
of doubt and maybe it's not that big of a deal,
but I just try to put myself in my in
the position that I was in if Jared during Bachelor
in Paradise was ever like I'm ready to move in
in three months. I would have been like, yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
See, That's the thing that's so crazy is like, first
of all, I don't know. I've been with Canyon for
thirteen years and we have been we're married, and we
have kids and we live together, of course, and I
don't think I've ever said those things to her, Like,
I don't think I ever said, Okay, my plan is
we're gonna have kids in about you know, three years,
but that's.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Kind of long for me.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Then I definitely want to have us living together immediately upon,
you know, leaving this island.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I'm just like, like, what dude does this? You know,
it's kind of a lot and.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Not a lot of guys, but I know that if
I I liked somebody enough, and there's so many different personalities,
so I'm speaking for myself and not for her. She
seemed freaked out by it. And if I was totally
in love with someone, I would I would be kind
of all in on his plan. He does want to

(03:18):
move fast, and he also there was also the part
where he's like, I am in love with her and
she says she's not ready to say that yet.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Well, what's crazy though, was like I swear to god.
Two weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
She was the one who was like, this is our
last ever first date, and you know, like I remember
like when they got the date and she's like, this
is this was our first date and it's going to
be the last ever first date either one of us
ever have, Like she started this. So then for him
to be now like reacting to that and responding to that,
and for her to act like she's scared to death
of it is almost kind of like, what the hell, lady,

(03:52):
this is what you said you wanted and now he's
giving it.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
To you and you're freaking out, you know. Yeah, yeah,
but yeah. So with Alex.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Andandrew, I was going to say, the reason why I
liked what was going on there so much was it
was like they were both too timid to tell each
other they were falling in love. And then she's like,
oh my god, I'm gonna be the first one to
do this.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Oh my god. And he goes, hold on, hold on,
I'm falling in love with you.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Like he what I really liked about that he was
like protecting her, you know, and like you don't have
to say it first, I'll say it, you know, which
I thought was really sweet.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
It was so cute. Maybe I also find them to
be like the most relatable. They're both a little bit
like I wouldn't say awkward. Maybe sometimes she's awkward, but
in a very endearing not like ooh, cringey awkward, but
like in an adorable, endearing awkward. I just feel like
there's just like a lot of genuine goodness between them.

(04:47):
And I don't even consider Dale and Kat to like
be like an actual option here, and I guess neither do.
I think Jeremy and Bailey because both of them we've
seen on camera have struggles before, and like their struggles
that I'm not like, I don't think that were overcome.
I think they were truly brushed aside daily Kat, he

(05:11):
said some crazy stuff about her. She did not trust him.
They both made each other worried, like they both had
traits that they so worried about and somehow like it
was sweeped away. It was swept away. And the same
with Jeremy Bailey, like we just know that he was
all after Susan and like she forgave him for that,

(05:37):
And I don't know that the audience ever really trusted
that he is as in on Bailey as he says,
he is.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah, Yeah, it's interesting.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
There's definitely a lot of like I almost feel like that,
you know how, like the formulaic version of The Bachelor.
I mean, I'm going back a long ways, like back
when I was the Bachelor, they would always make you
think and it was editing, it was, it was, but
they would always make you think the runner up was
the one who was going to be the woman that
got the ring right, and so you were almost disappointed

(06:09):
when when you would watch the show and you'd see
the other person get the ring, You're.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Like, oh, well, I thought it was gonna be Debbie,
you know.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
And it's almost like they're doing that with Dale and
Kat to us right now, Like they're pushing them so
hard on us that I'm like, something's going to blow
up on this, Like the wheels are coming off this
at some point. I just don't know when, and you know,
it's kind of like waiting for this all to happen.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
But the only reason I'm just a skeptic.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
So it's like when I watched the show, I'm always
thinking that they're manipulating me somehow.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Somewhay.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
We've also seen them in like relationships in the past
that have blown up in a sort of toxic way. Yeah,
you know where it was just like, oh it wasn't
we weally with kindness, would like to separate, blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Like it was just like, we respect our privacy.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
There's none of that.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
There are two really big egos too. I love Kat
like I think she's the greatest reality star, but I
also like know that the two of them together are
just too big and together they're gonna have too big
of problems. This is just my two cents per Bason
what I watched on TV. All Right, so let's get
into the specifics about this episode. First challenge, loved it,

(07:18):
one of my one of my one of the like
group day challenges. Whatever that like truly can tell you
about someone. Oh, they have to go glamping. They have
to set up a campsite, so they have to like
supposedly set up their home. And this is gonna this
is great. Yeah that working together and trying to put

(07:41):
something together physically is a great test of compatibility.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Well, and it's hot as hell.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
There's sweating, there's bugs everywhere, there's cow crap, horse crap
all over the place.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
It's like, you know, anything that they can do to
make it uncomfortable they're doing.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
And these people have to figure out, you know, everything's broken, right,
chairs are broken, you know, so they're seeing is this
guy going to be a gentleman in this moment or
is he going to be like, you know, I'll take
them not broken chair.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
It's it's interesting to watch it.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
It's funny because then they have, you know, unbeknownst to them,
they have a relationship expert watching the whole thing unfold
and and you know, taking notes on how the whole
thing kind of plays out, which I thought was pretty
interesting because you know, they obviously forgot they were on
a reality show, which, by the.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
Way, I have been loving all the little chiron things.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
But they're like, uh, you know buffering, Yeah, yeah. I
think they even said to someone, you know, like I
think it was it might have been Alex who was like,
you know, I can't believe they had a relationship counselor there.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
And they were watching us the whole time.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
We didn't know it, and all of a sudden, her
thing under her name, so I forgot she was on
a reality show.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Exactly that they're breaking the fourth wall and like referring
to the show a lot that I like it's tongue
and jacin.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Yeah, that was interesting though, but you're right, it was
kind of crazy because it's a barn burner hot out
there Cat. I honestly think this date was specifically designed
to make Cat lose her mind, Like they were probably like,
you know, we kind of need the old cat back.
She's been too chill on this season. We got to
get her back to her meltdown moments. Let's let's do
some bugs in the mix. I swear that's how it

(09:21):
feels to be bugs.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
They're not that bad Cat, but apparently bad phobia. Dale
does keep it together, respect Alex and Andrew. The kiss
conversation was funny.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
It was funny, and I didn't.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Think I understand what the relationship specialists expert is saying about,
like their chemistry, but sometimes I don't know what do
you think? Do you think maybe you did like burning
hot chemistry at that point or can it really a flirty,
fun banter.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
I think that's what's more fun.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Yeah, I like what I think that lady saw in
them that she you know, she she thought other stuff
was more I don't know, more important for relationship development.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
So I'm wondering where they found this lady.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
But I feel like, honestly, what they have going is
way more natural.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
I mean, they've only been there two weeks, right, and
neither of them have been there the whole time. I
don't think. I think, I don't know. If they did,
it were not a.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Care no, and you came in like a couple of
days later.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Yeah, so it's like, you know what, we're maybe at
fourteen days max at this point, you know, And it's like,
so the fact that they're still finding things out about
each other, they're not that comfortable in every circumstance. They're
sort of you know, but here they are. And this
super what I thought was really endearing was they're in
this super awkward, sweat bug fueled you know, a horsepoop thing,

(10:47):
and they're actually sitting there kissing and being affectionate with
each other, and they're playing like a game about it,
which I thought was kind of cute. You know. It's
almost like they're playing and spend the bottle with each
other and there's only two people there, and it was
I thought that was kind of sweet, you know, And
I think that's kind of why I really started. I
doubled down after that relationship council. I was like, hey,
o f this lady man, like that's my people, Like

(11:07):
what are you doing.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I'm like, it's like, okay, okay, I guess I see
what you're talking about. But also I don't think it's
a big deal because, like I said, I mean, I'm
obviously speaking from a place where I start out as friends,
and I related to the moment and like you can tell,
it's like flirty bands or I thought she was going
to say, you guys are open about physical chemistry and

(11:30):
you're communicating about that and that's a good thing.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
I gotta be honestly, you and I are on the
same page right now, because I actually thought she was
going to praise them a little bit for you know,
I maybe rip on him a little bit because you know,
when like she's she was right, you know, Alex is saying, well,
here's what I would like, and he's like, no, no,
if it's my last kiss on Earth, I'm going for
And I thought that was actually pretty funny. But I
get it, like, you know, you got to be respectful

(11:55):
of your partner's wishes and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
But at the same time. I don't know I found it.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
I didn't interpret the way she did.

Speaker 3 (12:03):
Yeah, I didn't either. I didn't either. I didn't. You
know what, though, I have this thing like I always this.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
Is gonna be horrible, and some people are gonna not
like me saying this, but I always think, you know,
isn't it weird that like every relationship expert has like
a completely jacked up home life, you know what I mean,
Like like every single time.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
If you go in and if you do a little.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Deep dive, the matchmakers are all single, you know, but
they know what's best for everyone, And then all these
people that sit back and the armchair quarterback and just
just shred people.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
And you're like, what are you guys going on at home?
You know? Are you happily married?

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Exactly, and that she describes the how Dale has superhero syndrome,
which I think that Jared has a lot of the
time where it's like all the good things and be
like perfect, but not like for himself, not for his
own ego, like he truly wants to provide for his family.
And then when it's not like receive the way it's

(13:02):
supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
We get pissed.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
We get a little bothered and we almost get frustrated.
Like I'm telling you I suffer from this too. So
she said that I was like, why.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Am I all of a sudden a subject on the show?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Like, but I, like I go through a canyon, Like
I literally will be the one who, like I will
go like I will go two and a half miles
out of my way to make sure that everything else
is done perfectly, even though she's perfectly capable.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
She could do it. I need to be the one
that gets it done, and.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
I want it to be done a certain way, and
I want everyone to think it's the greatest thing on earth.
And then when they don't think it's the greatest thing
on earth, or when they make suggestions about how else
it could have been done, I'd.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Be like, I just did this without even being asked.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
And you're like acts of service people, if yes, acts
of service love language person, this is usually how like
your interpretation is. Whereas like Jared, I'll say, I wake
up and he took hated in the morning because he
woke up early, and then he did the dishes and
he did you know, he straightened up and all that.

(14:05):
I so appreciate it, Like I appreciate it. I'm like,
oh my gosh, thank you. It's so nice. But to me,
it doesn't speak love, like that's not romantic love because
that's not my love language. So you know, it's it's
all a balance. And the doctor giving them the challenge
prize to me seemed stagy.

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Yeah, a little bit, A little bit.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
Maybe that was because they I mean, maybe because she
was just melting down so badly.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Well yeah, and what's actually you know what, you're right,
let me not jump to stagey. I think it was
probably because it was the most extreme situation that was
like happening there, and he did deal with it with
a lot of patience, that's what she did. It seemed
like maybe as a couple they're not the strongest, but
in that situation they excelled given their traits.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
I think that's true. I think that's probably why.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, they haven't had a date on the show since
they first met.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
They did on the first one, so they've kind of been,
you know, sixteen days, I mean just sort of grinding away,
you know, this whole experience.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
They haven't gone anywhere, done anything. I don't know. It's interesting,
BHD to see what happens.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Okay, I have to put you on to these leggings
I've been obsessed with lately. They're from this brand called Tona,
and get this, the designer behind them also created Lulu Lemon,
so they know what they're doing. These leggings are next
level think buttery soft, super flattering and very comfortable. But

(15:45):
they're also very supportive in the right places. So I
started wearing them when the kids and I go out
to play, and now I'm basically living in them twenty
four to seven. And here's what makes them even better.
With every payer you buy, it helps fund a mental
health counseling session for a teen in need. Isn't that

(16:06):
so awesome? Tona is on a mission to end teen
suicide and self harm, which we think is so important
and so incredible of them. So we partnered with Tona
to give you twenty percent off your order and free shipping.
So head to tonaactive dot com that is t NA
active dot com and use code iHeart for twenty percent

(16:28):
off in free shipping. Jeremy and Bailey, let's talk about them.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
They.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
He says in an interview that during the camping put
together that he can tell that Bailey loves him. You
can see the look in her eyes, and then he
says that he could see himself getting there. Yeah, there's
just something about the dude that I don't trust, and
I like couringe at the moment that he'll come on
this podcast and I'm like, hey, really hard, really hard

(16:56):
on you don't know, I just don't know if we're
like incredible people.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
We're not vibing.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Yeah, we're not vibing. Yeah, I know. It's crazy. It
is interesting because I feel like I'm at this point
where and I get made fun of by my wife
for this a lot that that I'm like literally rooting
for everyone, like I want everyone to be who I
hope they're going to be, right and and so now

(17:23):
I'm sort of like almost making excuses for everything everyone
has done or said in the past.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Like I mean I've even said, like you.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Know, well, you know, I know that Dale and Claire
had a had a horrible blow up, but you know,
we're seeing a different side of Dale, and maybe maybe
this is who he is now. I mean, you know,
he did say tonight that he knows what his love
language is. Like I'm just making excuses for everyone, you know.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
Oh, that's so sweet. That's really horrible.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
It's a horrible truth.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
It's embarrassing that I'm like, I can get bamboozled so
quickly by people. But I'm hopeful that maybe this guy
is you know, maybe it was just an errant comment
about Susie and maybe he really didn't I don't know.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
I don't know what to think.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
I'm like losing it. What do you think about about
him right now? Like where's your head at with them?

Speaker 2 (18:08):
There's not been a lot of evolution there. It's just
I guess vibes. And it could just be the fact
that I am so rooting for Andrew and Alex now
that like everybody else, I might get out of the way.
But also justin Andrew, justin Spencer, like you got a
root for them. We see that Dale and Kat get

(18:29):
this beach date where basically they're just like it's all
worth it, Like this is solidified what I needed. He
did say a big thing here, though, he said you
feel like home, to which I was like, wow, that's big.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I was impressed. I was impressed. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
You know, you've you've heard, like I mean, we all
you know hear you know the rumors that there's something
going on, that's something you know, there's something coming up
around the corner. I mean, I don't want to ruin
anything for anyone, but if you watched the previous for
the next episode, for the finale, it looks like it
it gets pretty ugly. And I feel like, I don't know,
I just feel like, if you're someone who's playing this

(19:06):
game because you didn't know there was five hundred grand
at the end of the at the end of this
thing when I started, if you're you're not someone who's
going that hard on these moments that you know are
going to come back to haunt you, right, And I
feel like Dale and Kat are seriously into each other
right now, Like watching them on that beach date like
they were I'm sorry, man, I I gotta say it,

(19:27):
like I felt like, Wow, maybe they are a real couple.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
And here I've been doubting it.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
You know, I don't know, but you're right, Like I'm
so rooting for Andrew and Alex too that I feel like,
you know, part of me doesn't have room for anybody else.
I'm just like, you know, no, I'm good. You guys
don't need to move up, just stay there on the beach.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
You're fine, Yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Plus Wells, Oh my god, Wells is like really delivered
over the past few exactly what we need him to say.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Who won the who won the date? Andrew, you know
who won the date?

Speaker 4 (19:56):
They go no, no, the whole everybody just starts laughing.
So he's clearly made it known that he is not
a fan of that couple right now, exactly exact.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Gosh, it's so funny. Also, can we talk about the
dates being really silly, like basically they just got drinks
out of like this parrot pineapple and there was really
nothing there that they couldn't have just gone back at
the resort, basically sitting in a cabana.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Either the budget's been cut, you know, incredibly by over
the last two episodes.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
Yeah, we're not even gonna take you on a boat ride.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
You guys are gonna sit on this beach and just
chill out and here here's a pineapple.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Enjoy yourself. Yeah, there's not.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
They definitely have cut back on the swinkiness of the
last couple of date parties.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Yeah, so funny. Okay, now we have the conversation as
far as like going in order of the episode. We
had the conversation between Jessine Spencer, which we kind of
already broke down. There is an age gap there where
she's pretty young. She wants to be having kids by
her thirty I'm not sure what age she is now,
but he says that would be a little late for him.
But she did say what the thing was is she

(21:03):
said at the very latest thirty. So like, it's.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Okay, it's up for discussion.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
It's up for discussion then.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
I mean, honestly, once you're in a relationship, your timelines
changed considerably when you're both in the same place, right,
So it's like, right now, they don't even live together,
so I get it, Like you're talking about having kids.
It'd be like, dude, we live in I mean, I'm
assuming they live in different cities.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
I don't even know it was Texas and California.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Yeah, so, oh my god, they're on opposite ends of
the world. It feels like, you know, from that perspective,
So it's like at the end of the day, it's like, yeah,
I mean, I get it. You know, if he's thirty
two and she's probably what like twenty four.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Maybe twenty five.

Speaker 4 (21:41):
Yeah, so she's thinking seven years that that's going to
make him forty.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
Bro, that's a baby too me. I mean I didn't
have my friend he's thirty two.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Oh he's thirty two.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Oh yeah, so seven years if you know so, that
would make him thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
Shaw. I didn't have my first kid that was forty eight. Bro,
Get over it, Bob.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Only like, like, I'm watching you right now, speak and
there's no way in the world that you register as
like older dad. You look and sound and presents all
over normally.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
So sweet, Ashley, that's why you've always been my favorite.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Well, I will.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Tell you I uh I after this past weekend where
I went out three nights in a row, which I
haven't done in quite some time, I felt all of
the old dad vibes, Like I was like, where's my walker?
Then tonight I come home and my wife's like, oh yeah,
we're gonna have.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
A play date with uh so and so and so
and so.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
They didn't get see them all weekend, which I totally understood.
But then all of a sudden, the home is invaded
by a herd of people and I'm like, dude, like
I love them.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
They're my favorite family, my favorite couple. They hang out with.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
But I was like so shocked because I didn't know,
and I was like I kind of thought I wasn't
going to do anything tonight. But now I'm back at
it again. You know, I might as well have I noon,
let's go, you know, like I'm.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
One hundred no no, no, no, You've definitely I feel like
you have a lot more stamina than I do. Okay,
so let's talk about the cocktail party where basically people
need to figure out who's going to go home. It's
pretty obvious that it'll be between Jonathan and Leah or

(23:18):
Keith and Kathy. And at this point, the stakes don't
feel high because it's gonna be one of them now and.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
One of them later, right right, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
It ends up being Jonathan and Leah, and that's because
Dale gets the last say because they were the winner
and there was a tie in the vote, and he's
just like he was after my girl, so he's saying
by now like they obviously never really got along. And
then he also was talking about if you don't vote

(23:50):
off who you really think is, you know, the weakest link,
you never know what's going to like actually end up happening,
Like how are they going to play with the game
later on?

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Yeah, well, and I thought that was interesting because you know,
you never know what these challenges are going to be either.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
So I mean, at the end of.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
The day, you know, Keathy and Keith, I think Keith
might not be the weakest link, right, so they're thinking.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
But I also think part.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Of it was, you know, the people that voted for
Keith and Kathy were voting because Keith. I mean, it
was very sweet and Keith got emotional talking about it
being homesick in Wine to see his girls and they're
getting ready to go camping anyway, or something like that.
And at the end of the day, I mean I
would probably think, man, this.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
Dude needs to go home.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
I get it, you know, And but then all of
a sudden he changed his mind and he was like,
I think I'm willing to stick around for another week.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Somebody was probably like, don't we do. Somebody production was like, hey,
it's not really weak. It's another day. If you could
get one more night, and probably.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
Just bro, we can have you on a plane tomorrow afternoon.
Just get through time. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
I'm sure that's probably part of it too, But yeah,
it's not like it's unfolding in real time. I mean,
you know, it's the eight Throws ceremony and it's only
day nineteen, So if anybody's doing the math at home,
that's not eight weeks, right, that's about, you know, a day.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
It was like it.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Sometimes a lot can happen in a short amount of
time there. That be said, they go home and the
next day they have another challenge, the sharp they called
sharp opinions, and it's got stabbing daggers in one's back.
Jesse ends up asking questions like who's still talking to

(25:33):
an X? Who is most likely to get on the
nerves of their significant other because their child like acts,
you know antics. It was an interesting. It was interesting.
It wasn't as backstabby as I would have thought. It
wasn't like they were really talking behind their back.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Right, I think it would be kind of a I mean,
now it's down to what eight people.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
And yeah it was anonymous. That's why it wasn't so
hard to me.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Yeah, but then all of a sudden I would be like, god, dude,
that kind of hurts to think. So I don't know
if there's first of all, I'm pretty good with math, right,
so if I'm seeing six daggers in my back from
one thing. I'm like, okay, pretty sure everybody here except
my dude or my chick didn't throw a knife at
my back on that one, because it looked like, I mean,

(26:21):
on a couple of those, like even Andrew on the
first one, the childlike behavior one, I thought, I don't know, I.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
Don't I must have missed where that was coming from.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
But that was pretty much like him, right, they said
Alex and Andrew got the most on that one, and
then the next was trust issues. That was Cat and Dale. Yeah,
then I took notes. This is how interesting this was
to me. The biggest Oh what was this the biggest
codependent jessin Spencer.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
That's probably pretty.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
True, just you know, definitely definitely on her, Oh for sure.

Speaker 5 (26:53):
Yeah, talking to an ex.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
And this one went to Jeremy.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
So this seemed weird because we have heard there's rumors
around the internet and such that Kat had snuck an
iPad in and she was texting an ex. Yeah, they
either didn't flash to the right back when saying this
when like airing this, or it's just a rumor. So

(27:32):
we'll see, because if she was truly texting somebody in
an iPad. I think that would have come out here.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
Well, if it hasn't come out, it looks like the uh,
the Paradise Parliament or whatever is coming back in the
next episode.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
It's coming out if there's anything going on, because that
dude's pissede. He's like fired up man.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Yeah. What I thought was weird was that Kathy and
Keith actually didn't win this challenge. I thought they would
have the least daggers because I so too. All the
questions didn't seem to be directed towards them, right, They
also seem to be directed towards younger people.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Although when they went to the who doesn't deserve to
be here? It looked like it looked like Keith might
have gotten every one of them.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
I guess when it comes down to it, they got that,
and then Andrew and Alex ended up winning, but they
did get that childish dagger. Yeah, so they end up winning,
which you know, you and I both freeth the sigh
of relief. I didn't think they were actually going to
be in danger, but it's nice going into the Rose
ceremony knowing that they're gonna be safe. But we don't

(28:38):
get to see the Rose ceremony. Here we do see
them kind of pairing up though, talking alliances because they're
gonna be limiting two couples and it's gonna be the
last row ceremony, so we're gonna get down to three
serious couples, which means that one of this year we

(28:59):
know they can. Athy and Keith are leaving. Kathleen and
Keith are really being so so sweet because Keith is saying, hey,
I'm eliminating us, you know, I'm going forward for the money,
which is really really so sweet. He also knows there's
no chance of them winning here, but he said, and
it was the most endearing thing I've watched all episodes,

(29:20):
all seasons of Bachelor in Paradise, and this show is
about love and that's what I want to root for,
not money. Then we see, like, you know, everybody talking
alliances and whatnot. But what I want to talk about
as we wrap up this episode is what Jesse says
in the teaser. He says, you guys have all like

(29:40):
known that there's money involved at the end of this,
but you do have to choose between love and money.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Yeah, you know, it's so interesting to figure out what
the hell this show is at this point because you know,
I even said at the beginning a couple of weeks ago,
when they first started talking about the money, I was like, Oh,
I wonder if there's gonna be like a for.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Lover money spin on this thing. Yeah, brought up the
Bachelor pad.

Speaker 4 (30:01):
How the one dude chose, you know, to keep it
instead of share it, and he was a villain, but he,
you know, he made money. And it's interesting because now
here comes that twist right where it's really going to
be a circumstance where you know, let's be honest, man,
if if if if Jeremy, let's say, let's say hypothetically
it's Jeremy and Bailey at the end, and Jeremy's like,

(30:23):
I know that Bailey is into me and loving me,
but I'm not there yet. I mean, does he choose money?
Does she choose love? Like, and then what happened.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
To me is choosing money in this situation?

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Oh my god, no doubt right, And then he's coming.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Might even be choosing money. Kat might be choosing money.
I don't. I do think that. And I think that
Alex and Andrew and I don't mean to like just
pump them up so much. But I think they're gonna
be the ones that would have the most ethical dilemma
if it comes down to them being the champions and
having to choose between one or the other. Now, it's

(30:58):
all about appearances in my opinion, because it's a different
world than it was. I even think during Bachelor PAB.
I think just because of exposure and reality TV and
like us kind of all of us, not just you
and I who have been involved to kind of see
beyond the curtain a little bit more now, right, Yeah,

(31:19):
even the casual viewer who's really into the love element
of Bachelor is going to be like, guys, you take
the money and then you meet off camera and you
can get married.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Like, no one says you can't stay together, you know.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Nobody says you can't be together. I wonder if Jess's
going to say, there's like a thing where if we
catch you being together within a year of this show,
you can't do that.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
You can't enforce that, No, you can't.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
I mean, I would think at the end of the day,
if it came down to somebody, you know, for loving
or for money, And I mean, first of all, if
they both say so, here's here's here's the thing, which
I know we'll find out. We'll find out next week.
But what if they both say for love and they're
the winning couple, does that mean no one gets that money?

Speaker 2 (32:08):
My guess is this It's gonna be kind of like
Beauty and the Beast.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Yeah, if you.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Fall in love, you will get something, if you like
make them fall in love when there's I don't even
know how to describe this. You know what Beauty and
the Beast works as he got her to fall in
love with him as a beast, and then she got
her treat, which was he was a very handsome prince.
So I'm thinking that maybe if they end up saying

(32:37):
we choose love, that's the ticket to actually getting the money.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
To get the money. Oh my god, that'd be amazing,
wouldn't it.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
Yeah, that would be amazing because I would like that
more personally because it's like, to me, the money element
somebody walking off of this show with five hundred grand
and breaking someone else's heart.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
You and I know that this show has never been
this generous. No, five hundred grand that is hundreds hundreds,
four hundred thousand, at least more than they've ever paid
their lead right right, Yeah, that is a ton of money.
Real you know, they don't fly us first class or
anything like that, Like what the city around.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
This's gotta be some twist and they got to be
planning on splitting it havesies at the end somehow someway
for that couple.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
It'll be interesting to see what happens for sure, But
I mean, man, some of the best relationships have come
out of The Bachelor in Paradise, and I feel like
this could be another one.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
You never know, and let me just blow up their
spot a little bit more Alex and Andrew. There's something
about looking at the two of them together that I'm like,
you guys look like you're supposed to be together. Yeah,
they knowing them from separate shows, I feel like they
were meant to meet here. I think they really could
be the next great Bachelor love story. And I'm sorry

(34:02):
for ignoring the Jess and Spencer of it all. I
feel like Jess and Spencer. There's an inkling inside me
that just says they could be like the Carly and
Kirk of this season.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
Yes, yes, so it's.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Like the entire season, everybody thinks they're gonna end up together.
And I think that they will end up together, but
I don't think that they're serious enough to be in
an end an engagement. Do you think that anybody will
end here in engagement? Kat is already honest saying issue
will not.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Yeah, well yeah, Kat, respect, good job Kat.

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Yeah, she's been there, done that, and you know, one
wants to be like you know, ross from friends, where
you get like, you know, engaged or married sixty four times.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
But I do think that I look at it.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
I'm with you on this because I don't I don't
get the vibe from anybody else except Andrew and Alex
that they're that they're hitting their stride at the right time.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Yes, like you know what I mean, Like I think I.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
Think Jess and God, I can't wind like Spencer.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Yeah, I keep forgetting his name too for some Yeah,
and he's.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
Like insanely into her and it's like, you know, but
it's like they peaked too early.

Speaker 3 (35:10):
I feel I feel like Cat and Dale. Cat and
Dale are just like you know, the King. Yeah, I'm
still I'm scared about for sure.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
They're like in high school and it nicks. Yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
Then you got the other ones, which I know we
keep like totally just ignoring them, but they're there's they're
not there either, right, Jeremy. Jeremy's just something's off, something's
off there. Bailey seems so sweet, she's so good. Yeah, yeah,
she and she's being I feel I hope, I hope
I'm wrong, but it feels like she's being played a
little bit. And but I don't think Jeremy, I honestly don't.

(35:45):
I don't know why, but I don't think Jeremy is
doing it maliciously. I think he's in the moment he
wanted to redeem himself because that Susie thing might have
just been a thing. Here I go again, making excuses
for everyone. But I feel like I feel like, underneath
it all, he's not in this situation to hurt her.
Like you can tell, he cares about her.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
I think at this point it's not even appropriate for
them to leave, you know, because they still like each other. Yeah,
and we're still not even done eliminating the people that
don't like each other, Okay, Kathy and Keith. Right, and
now now, of course, with the two eliminations, yes, we
are down to the this is this would start to
be the appropriate time for them to leave if he
is not like getting to be in the love point.

(36:26):
I do like the way that this seems like there
won't be any sort of pressure to be get engaged.
I think I've named this stat before, but I think
half of all married Bachelor in Paradise couples did not
get engaged in Paradise.

Speaker 3 (36:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
I think, if not more of the people that you're
married from Paradise didn't get engaged there.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah, So it's good take that stress off the table.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Well, and it's like, you know, Neil Lane gets a
lot of camera time. He's good, Neil Lane's good. We
don't need to be thrown out unless they're getting five
hundred thousand dollars worth of Neil Laine rings, you know.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
And that's what the whole prize is.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Some catch to this, right, It's gonna be the great,
the biggest neel Aane ring we've ever seen in our lives.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
It's just like one giant It's like a hat with
a giant diamond on it.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
I don't know it's gonna be.

Speaker 4 (37:14):
It's gonna be interesting because I feel like, to me,
I mean the money part of it, I get it.
It was introduced to kind of you know, bring that
whole a new twist to the show and all that
kind of stuff. But part of me is hopeful that
there is some type of love that comes from the show,
because that's always been kind of the magic of it,

(37:36):
you know, is that whole fairy tale ending that everybody loves,
you know, and I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
I believe that the twist the final episode, it's all
gonna come together and prove that the show really is
about love over money.

Speaker 4 (37:51):
Yeah, that would be pretty sweet. It looks like it
gets pretty it looks like it gets pretty dicey next week.
I mean the previews obviously they're bringing back you know,
it's kind of like Survivor, right, they're bringing I mean,
they are combining so many shows into this new format.
They're they're bringing back the whole cast. They're gonna be like,
you know, you're the tribe is spoken. We're getting that
element coming up with the Parliament, Paradise Parliament. But we're

(38:13):
also getting you know, basically, there's gonna be there's gonna
be some people thrown under the bus because it looks
like hysterics and Sue. I mean, it looks like, you know,
obviously we know that Keith and Kathy are going home,
and then who's the who's the couple that you think
of the four would be on the chop block? Like,
which one do you think would be the next one
to go home?

Speaker 2 (38:33):
I do think I think it'll be Bailey and Jeremy
because of all the things we've said, but also because
of the Parliament, and I think the Parliament's going to
bring up a lot about the Susie stuff. I also
think that they're going to get at Kat. It seems
like Alisha, I'm sorry that I cannot ever say her name, Alicia, Alicia,

(38:59):
Alicia Silversion. Yeah, she seems like to have a vendetta
against Kat and she's.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
Yeah, they're fired up. I mean they have definitely been.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
They probably spent some time with the producers on there
three days since they've been off the off the ranch,
and they probably have just been getting so fired up
about how to settle the score when they come back
in there. So it's gonna be, you know, it's definitely
gonna be some fireworks for sure. And it's funny tonight.
You know, my brother in law and a few of
my buddies that I was with this weekend. They are avid,

(39:32):
avid Bachelor and Paradise fans, and they literally all dudes,
like their wives don't even watch the show. And they're like,
they're like texting me all night. We don't want any spoilers.
Don't tell us anything. You know, we know you've seen
the show. I'm like, actually I haven't. We're watching it
later tonight. What. Oh my god, Well, we're not gonna
tell you anything that so we don't want to, you know,
influence your your podcast.

Speaker 3 (39:53):
I'm just like, you guys are fools. But anyway, they're
they're so into the show and they're like, I mean
and there after.

Speaker 4 (40:01):
The you know, they showed the previous for next week
or whatever. I'm just getting blown up. Oh my god,
this is happening. This is gonna be this is going
to be a reckoning. Things are going down next week.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Guys, are you getting this because we're recording this at
ten thirty pm Eastern, Like your your tex should be
rolling in about it.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Oh they're rolling, they're rolling.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
Yeah, I'm watching it blown up my phone right now
as we speak.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
I'm just like, oh my god, all right.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
So fun, so funny, Bachelor Bob. I'll never not call
