Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with IET Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. Today I'm
doing headlines with Jared. Hello, Jared, you kind of got
a mini headline this week. I don't even know if
you know. I sent it to you on Instagram and
you're away last week.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Did you see No, I mean I saw you sent
me a real bout Joe Jonas.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
No, that was about how he's everybody's hot pass right now.
But I was gonna say, how you are Caitlin's not
hall pass, but you are the one that she would
go back in time.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
And yeah, I saw that. Okay, Chris Astor, Chris Astor
if you if it was like f Mary kill or
something like that, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Said she said f because she didn't hit that, didn't
hit that. That's right, because it had never been the
same between man. Yeah, of course, how could it be
it was meant to be that you did not get
to fantasy.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
I would agree.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, could you imagine if she like just came.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Over, Well, I don't think you guys would be as
close course, because you know it would be just like,
oh you know.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
No, I can't do that.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah, I can't do it.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
It's meant to be. But then she also said that
she would marry you, which is really great. If she
had to go back in time during her season, she'd
marry you.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yeah. Well, she always said I was her gay best
friend on the show, So you know what I mean.
It's good to know that now she would hit it.
You know, at the time, she wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Already, So people would mess the messaged me last week
and they're like, Ashley, what'd you think about this? Oh
my god, I just gonna come after. I'm like, oh
my god, No, I think it's so flattering. That's why
I will always interpret that you say my husband's hot.
I'm like, oh my god, thank you. I know. I
always think it's so nice. I don't get jealous at all.
I think it's a compliment. It's like, because he's mine.
(01:48):
Are you tired?
Speaker 3 (01:49):
No, I'm just you know, got a busy day here.
We're doing headlines, baby, I don't know. Also, like, the
first headline I see is about Kate kat Kat kat Kat,
who allegedly snuck an iPad into Bachelor in Paradise to
message her secret boyfriend. First of all, she should get
praised for this, like Jared.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Is the most what's the word, Taron. But my point
is I was gonna say.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
I mean, this is great stuff for TV, like this
is what we need.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Well it wasn't on TV, but great.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
But you know what it adds to the fuel, you
know what I mean? And it gets people talking and
it's like you guys, you know you need this, you
want this. This is fantastic news.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
So my sister snuck in her phone. She had an
old phone that she handed over to the producers and
they're like, phone please. This is during Bachelor in Paradise too,
and guess what, she forgot her charger. So she ended
up going to the executive producer and was like, listen,
I brought my phone in. I do not have a charger,
(02:52):
but I will not do this show unless you let
me have my phone so that I can talk to
the guy that I'm talking to at home. So it's
the exact Schens.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Yeah, but they made it known that she was a mistress, right,
Yeah she was.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Yeah, mistress is let's just continue to clarify. I know
it was ten years ago. She was the other woman whatever,
she was the other woman in a relationship, a dating relationship,
there was no marriage or even engagement.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
All right, she's the other woman. Sorry woman, all right,
all right. So Alicia is alleging that after Alicia left
the show wish on, they had a conversation with Sewan's
best friend in Tampa, uh former home of Tom Brady,
who was apparently Kat's former boyfriend. Quote her boyfriend at
the time, He's like, you won't believe who ended up
screwing me over? He fills everybody in. She's been sending
(03:39):
him love letters since day one in Paradise. So Alicia
claimed that Kat has been sending her ex or personally
her current boyfriend seems like current current boyfriend secret letters
while she's been filming. Alicia goes on says she snuck
her iPad in. She was sending things to get to
him this like things like this will last you until
(04:02):
I get out of Paradise and like that's crazy, lots
of like. So apparently Nick shout out to Nick was unaware,
who just had James Gunn on his podcast? So cool. Anyway,
Nick says that he was unaware of the iPad claim,
but he did mention he was told about Kat's alleged
communication attempts with an offscreen boyfriend after bumping into a
friend who also had some things to say about Kat,
(04:26):
so Nick, in response to Alicia's accusation, said, I heard
Kat somehow wrote some messages on her arm for him,
like what what?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Wait what? Okay?
Speaker 3 (04:38):
So anyway, so Kat apparently has an off screen boyfriend
that she.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
She was communicating with while she was in relationship with Dale.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Take some balls to do this. I'll give her credit. Yeah,
what I mean, first of all, if you're the boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
There's been so many relationships like this where it's like, hey,
I'm going to go on TV for the you know,
well the from the opportunities of it all.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, but you know that like.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
She's gonna kill everybody always. Oh yeah that So like
that's be a serious boyfriend. It's obviously like somebody that
you like, but you're not like really committed to.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
In these scenarios, I think that the boyfriend, unfortunately is
probably knows that he'll never do better than Kat. Well
that is a hot one, so he's probably like, yeah,
you know, it's poor guy, Like I'll put up with it.
I'll do it like you Yeah, you go off, you
do this thing, I'll be here waiting for you. It's like, damn,
then just break up with her. She's you know, it's
not worth it.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
So anyway, so but.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I do like Kat as a reality TV personality. She
is perfect, right, love it. Listen to your hearts. Jamie
Gabriel is engaged. You guys may remember Jamie from Wow.
It was COVID era. Jamie was so cute. I forget
who her partner was, but she's engaged now, so shout
(05:56):
out to her.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
I forgot the show even, like, I feel terrible saying that,
but I've like you were pulling up the article and
I'm like, listen to your heart. Oh my god, that's right. Yeah,
there was like a music bachelor show.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
I liked it. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
I'm not saying it was bad.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Oh I know, but it was during COVID and it
was during a weird era.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Bad timing, poor timing.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, very poor timing. But it aired in September, I
mean April twenty twenty.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
So I mean talk about in the thick at COVID exactly.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I think people weren't like even into I don't even know,
people were just watching the news at that point.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I was it was every day. Yeah, like remember when
Cuomo would come out every day and like, you know,
it's about New York because New York was like the
epicenter and every day Culomo would come out and we'd
be like glued to the TV because it's like, what's
going on New York? Because it just felt like New
York was just at the heart. Anyway, we don't have
to revisit.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
What they couldn't do promotion either. It was just a
weird time. It didn't make it emotion. It also seemed
like the previews were so corny. The commercials did not
have me. It was actually watching it that I said, oh,
this is actually pretty decent.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Any who, any one of them got engaged.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Jason Tarctic says moving on next headline, never say never
to being the next Bachelor, Okay, Jason, as if like.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
As if you would say no, I love you, Jason,
but like, don't give me this. No, I'll never say never,
Like I'd have to think about it, dude. If Bachelor
asked Jason to be, If ABC was like, hey, Jason,
want to be a Bachelor, he would jump at the opportunity,
which I don't blame him, Like.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
No, no, wanting to be the Bachelor. But let's not
pretend that like you'd have to contemplater.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
No, yeah, of course, Like it's just just be like,
I would love to be the Bachelor. It would be
a great opportunity.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
So cool, let's get into the quote. So he said
on the Playing the Field podcast. When it comes to
whether or not he do Reality TV again, possibly being
the Bachelor, he said he didn't. We wouldn't rule it out.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Oh yeah, he wouldn't. You know, I'd have to think
about it. I'd have to comtemplate and I really have
to sit down, you know, you.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Know, put it on the scale the pluses and the minuses.
He said. I always say, like you never say never,
but I will say since I like don't know what,
what was it like two years ago, there may have
been five shows that approached me to go on, and
my desire to go on back on reality TV is
(08:32):
quite low right now. So never say never. But I'd
prefer if I was going back in for like a
competition show or something like that.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Well, of course, yeah, everybody, of course, he wants.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
To do traders.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Everybody wants to do traders. Everybody wants to dancing to
the stars. Of course, it's a competition show. It's not
certainly not easy. But in terms of the.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
You're not gonna look bad, well, you're you're not worried
about the game.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
It's not something and having people criticize you for it.
It's more of just you know, he stuck at dancing
or up.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Oh and then when asked about the growing social media
buzz calling him to be the next Bachelor, he said
he didn't realize that that was a thing. He said,
that's news to me. Some people have sent me these
articles that are rumors, but yeah, I don't know where
that stuff comes from.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Well, this comes from who's going to be the next Bachelor.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
And then his mom is making fun of him, saying,
you're thirty six, You're going to be like a golden Bachelor,
maybe a silver bachelor.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Oh well, good for mom. Thanks.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
I still think thirty six is a good bachelor age.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Well, of course, of course, of course. I mean looking back,
we were far too young. Like Ben was twenty six
years old when he was the bachelor. Yeah, how stupid
is that?
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Well, that's not stupid. To find your person at twenty
six is not like super young.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
It's not super young, but I you and I have
perfect timelines.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
Like in my opinion as far as like age goes,
you and I met each other at twenty seven and
then we got married at I was thirty one new
thirty yep.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
So yeah, I think if I don't know, mid twenties
is pretty young to be the lead, to be.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
The lead in the whole day.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, that's that's a hard one. Yeah, you know, not
that it can't happen. I mean I think Jojo was
twenty six, twenty seven, twenty five, I don't know, somewhere
around that age.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Yeah, you're right to carry a show and to navigate
the experience of dating thirty people in size, and that's
different than like being in love with your person.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Yeah, and then to really start dating after the show.
I mean we all talk about it. How of course
you form feelings on the show, but then when you leave,
that's when you truly start dating. And so yeah, that's
a tough world to navigate. So I do think like stepping,
if I'm looking at it from thirty thousand feet, Jason
would be a smart choice because he's a name, he's older,
(10:46):
he knows how to navigate this for a relationship. But
I don't know. I also just want something different, I
want something new, I.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Want I want to stunt casting exactly. It needs to
be a celebrity. I don't think it's gonna survive by
getting a random person because we have an inside source
that says that they are out in the world trying
to find the bachelor that they're not going to pick
from the selection that they have, which makes total sense
to me, because I don't think that there's a standout
and they need it to be like a C list celebrity,
(11:15):
a B list. You think that they can get B
list I think they can. You know they cannot. Who
would you consider a b less celebrity for them to get.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
I don't know. I'd have to really think about this,
but I think that they could get someone who's a
pretty good name if they paid.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Well, look at this, Okay. One of our next headlines is.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Well, you're not going to get Austin Austin Butler.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Will you consider him him a list?
Speaker 3 (11:37):
You don't think Austin Butler is an aless celebrity.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
I mean, I love him, but I don't think that.
I don't know that, Like, he's not is he a
household name yet? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Austin Butler is a household.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Okay, fine, I'm thinking let's think about like athletes.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Oh, athletes, they get they could get.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yeah, because if they had at some point in.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Life, you'd have the problem with sports.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Had Travis Kelsey on E have his own dating rally
show on E.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
But the problem with athletes is that you have to
because the Bachelor is such a lot of process. I mean,
you're talking about if you can retired athlete, but then
it's tough.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Okay, now we're talking too much about this. Just name
a B list athlete.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
I can't think continue.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Okay, Well, speaking of Austin Butler, Katie Bigger and Zach
Shallcross they're married. Now, just letting you guys know if
you didn't know, they had drinks with Austin Butler. She
said that Zach and her recently got drinks with him
in an online video. In the video that the three
(12:38):
of them are seine chatting and they're also with filmmaker
filmmaker Darren How do you say this?
Speaker 3 (12:44):
A wow?
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Oh my god, Katie, I knew he would you think
that was a bigger deal.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Holy crap, that's a huge deal.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
They're creating Martiniz behind a bar. Austin asked Katie and
Zach various questions like how they met and if they
knew that they would end up together. This had to
have been a brand deal, right, It had to have
been like a brand thing.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
That's very yeah, but that is cool, yeah, very cool. Cool.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Another couple that has been all over social media this
week is Rodney Matthews and his new wife Ari. They
got massed. Congratulations they got married in Riverside, California. I
mean it feels like just yesterday Rodney was here, he
went and had an appearance at Audrey's. I guess it
was over. Was it over two years ago?
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Or was it two years ago?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Two years ago? And now and he was a single
guy and now here he is married. Look at that.
Look how time flies and how life happened so fast
years is the nuts?
Speaker 3 (13:46):
What the hell is.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Going on with So they did do a very intimate
ceremony and that was a couple of weeks ago where
they were like outside the courthouse and they show that
they were married. But now they did the actual wedding
surround by family and friends and a lot of bachelor alum.
I think Susie was there and Justin was there, and.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
Well I saw Andrew.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
Andrew was there, right, I think.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Andrew was there. Justin was there, he said, Susie was there. Yeah,
I think Michael was.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Michael was there. So that's a nice group. Yeah, they
were a great season group of people. Yeah, they're very enjoyable,
very good sold people. But were really happy for them.
And finally, Juliana, I can't I don't know if I
can still say Juliana's last name, you know, Grants Juliana
(14:39):
Justina Pascosa Pascarosa. She just did her first interview post breakup,
and she said that it made sense for both of
them to split. She said, it's so odd because I
think I was having so much inkst about the breakup
being announced because I felt oddly embarrassed. On my family's end,
(15:02):
we take marriage very seriously. Just before even filming, I
just had this goal that, like, I want to make
my family proud of who I am when they watch
it back. So that was really hard for me. She
said this on Jason's podcast Trading Secrets, and she said,
of course they didn't judge me and they didn't find
it embarrassing, but what that was what I struggled with
(15:22):
the most. I didn't really care what anybody else thought.
I was just like, I really hope my family's not
upset with me. And when he asked where they stand today,
Juliana said that she wishes him the best. I want
him to succeed. I will always support him. I think
he's a really great, genuine guy. And I can tell
that he's supporting me from afar and that's very nice.
(15:43):
She also said that she's getting back out there on
dating on the apps like Raya, Raya, Raya, whatever hell
you call it, and she would be open to being
on Bachelor in Paradise nice or be the leader of
the Bachelorette. Well, good night again. Nobody says no to
that role. Wow, Actually there's been a few. There's been
(16:06):
a few.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
But I think they all regret it.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
All right, Well, guys, stick around. This week, we'll have
an interview with Ali Joe. She is dating Sam and
they were supposed to be in Paradise together or hope
that they would be, but they got together off camera.
So we are going to ask her all about that
and about this cat drama Kat having a boyfriend behind
(16:32):
the scenes, because I think she might know a little
bit more than we do. Cat. Yes, until then, We'll
see you soon. Much love, I've been Ashley.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
I've been Jared. Thank you so much for listening.
