Speaker 1 (00:03):
PHP one and only correct.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Perez Hilton.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Everybody, welcome to our PHP. I'm Chris Booker, that's Press Hilton.
How are you.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I'm excited because I'm trying to think the last time
we really spoke about Taylor Swift. There was a period
there where we were talking about her all the time,
and then, like everything, we stopped. But now today we
have a couple of Taylor Swift stories. It's juicy, so
we'll get into all of that. Also, if you're one

(00:41):
of those hardcore Miley Cyrus fans who gets easily offended,
maybe skip through that part. Today we're gonna talk about
Miley Cyrus, also Carti b Blake, Lively, tons more. But first,
thank you all for listening. And I need to remind
you that if you go to patreon dot com slash

(01:03):
Perez Hilton, you can get an exclusive additional episode a
week from us that's longer than this one, has no ads,
and you also get access to us on the message
board there, and you can make friends and you can
listen to it on Spotify or Apple podcasts. However, you
listen to it currently the same way, so if you

(01:24):
want to support it costs like a coffee okay, Patreon
dot com slash Perez Hilton.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Coffee a month, not even a week. A month.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, Yeah, it's fabulous.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
It's a great show, and it's a lot of fun,
and we really get into it. It's you know, it's
like part two of this. There's times when you're like,
what are they talking about? We'll get the Patreon and
find out.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
All right, now that we got that out of the way,
I don't even care about your weekend, let's get to it.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Well, my weekend was great, thank you, oway to a
barbecue yesterday. Blah blah blah. You're right, what do you got?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
All right? I don't even care about my weekend, honestly,
I just want to get to it, all right. Taylor Swift.
At first, when I saw the headline that she bought
back her masters, I was a little confused, because what's
the point at this At this point, she's already released
her versions of all these albums and made so much

(02:13):
money and trained her fans to listen to the tailor's versions.
But and it's long, so I'm not going to read it. However,
she shared a letter explaining her reasoning for it, and well,
did you read that letter? I did Yeah, okay, So
if you guys didn't, and if you just saw the headline,
I get it. It's summer. People are busy. The light
bulb moment for me was when she said, it's not

(02:35):
just about the music, it's about everything else that comes
with this purchase. In addition to her master recordings, she
also gets all of the music videos, she said, all
the concert films, the album art and photography, the unreleased songs.
So when she explained it that way, I was like, oh,

(02:57):
it makes a lot of sense. And this was not
reported by her, but according to I think it was
either the Hollywood reporter of variety very plugged in in
the no industry trade. She paid three hundred and sixty
million dollars for this, so you know she can easily
afford that. But I think great, fabulous. I don't really

(03:20):
have too much of an opinion other than at first
that was confused, but now that I understand her real
thought process for it, and also like, I'll just like
reiterate something that you I was always in favor of
the re records. You were not. You were always like, oh,
you know, she can't recapture the voice and the magic
of those.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Originals, true ords, but in some instances, like All too
Well is the perfect example, dropping the fucking nineteen hour
version of it. It's fucking great. I mean, I agree,
it's great, but most of the songs lack the zip.
And you know, if you're a true fan, there's no
way you're in disagreement. Style doesn't sound like style, okay,
I mean you, but it off does not sound like
she's it right. None of it sounds the same. It

(03:59):
sounds like a cover artist always, and we can all
pretend that we love the new versions and whatever. You're
all full of shit. Ultimately, I was right about no, no, no,
I'm talking about some people that disagreed with me. But
I like this because a she has the money, she
clearly wanted it. She put her money in her wallet
where her mouth is, she went out and purchased it,

(04:21):
and it's a lot of money out of pocket now.
But keep in mind, every step of the way, everyone
has made money off of this, and she will make
money off of this. Because it has to do with
international these crazy the licensing for other countries and such
for commercials. Swifties don't know about any of that. It's

(04:42):
not like publicized that she has a song in some
fucking whatever or has some piece of music in there. No,
I know I'm right. You want to know how I'm
right because of how much money it generates every year.
I'm just saying, even when the fans say we're stopping
any movement of that, no, no, they still made plenty
of money off of the publishing of owning that music.
They did each and every year. As the runway gets

(05:04):
longer and longer, she will recoup that money because she
has now the control to do whatever she wants with it.
And I'm just saying, get ready to hear a lot
of Taylor Swift's songs at a lot of different commercials,
on a lot of different Netflix shows, and a lot
of different HBO shows.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
We've already been hearing them. She herself has been lending
her music to different projects, like just even before this
was announced, a new version of I Think It Was
Look What You Made Me Do was featured in a
trailer for The Handmaid's Tale.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, I'm talking about the old recordings and such.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Oh yeah, yeah, well now we'll be hearing those for sure,
because now the money goes to her. But what I
was going to say was the fans and because of
social media, they're so connected and we know everything that's
going on anywhere. So if they had used a tailor
song and a commercial in India, we would have found
out about it.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
But it doesn't matter so that there's no fan base
that's going to be in an uproar about it.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I'm not saying they would have been in an uproar.
I'm just saying they would have found out about it.
Maybe definitely.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Also as a swift Ye, I don't need her to
re record reputation now, Like, what's the.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Point, don't Well, she said she's not going to.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
No, she didn't say that. She said she might. She
said she might if people want that, but there's no
fucking need. There was no need before.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, unless you're gonna do a wild reimagination of things. Okay,
that makes sense to me. But trying to note for
note recreate something I always thought was silly and it was.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
But I would love just to come. I mean, I
guess there's part of my brain that's like OCD and
I'm like, she might as well just fucking finish the project,
but or just release the regular version with the vault
tracks and call it something else, like, don't call it
Taylor's version, just call it like deluxe version or whatever.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, well they're all Tailor's versions now, so I don't
even know how the streaming services have it posted now,
you know what I mean, Because there's the OG version
and there's Taylor's version. Like I wonder if they stay
the same or if she has that changed or I
don't think it's all fascinating. Yeah, I'm happy for fans
are happy, so she's happy. Great, I'm fucking happy for Let.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Me say it now in case it happens between now
and Thursday, because I was gonna save this for the
Patreon but I don't want to be like late. Okay,
don't take this out of our podcast bubble. I could
be wrong. That's why I like to be accurate. I
like to be you know, factual and correct. I'm hearing
this from my hardcore Swifty insiders, my sources who did

(07:28):
not from her team.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
They're always guessing, by the way, they're always wrong. Most
of the time.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
They're wrong, but not always for a few reasons. But
I am hearing that we are getting a new album
in August.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
Okay, and I believe that. Yeah, and it's been some time.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, and we are possibly getting some announcement this week.
In fact, she already teased that because as the Easter
egg Queen is prone to do, the fucking letter had
fucking Easter eggs in it. Probably, oh no, no, probably definitely.
Like this spelled with all those eyes and the way

(08:05):
that she wrote, there's a lot of East if you
care not, I'm not gonna spell out all the Easter eggs,
but there were a few Easter eggs in that letter
talking about her masters. And I'm hearing there might be
an announcement this week because people were even able to
find out Taylor doesn't have that many posts on Instagram.
Some psychos went and counted and they found out that

(08:27):
she's got like a post saved as a draft. I
don't fucking know how they know this, but she has
a post saved as a draft, and people think that
that's like some kind of announcement that's coming this week.
So anyways, as I told you all before, though, this
I have already shared with you all, and when you
hear it, remember that you heard it from me first.
I told you all, and this is big news because

(08:48):
one of your criticisms of the last album, which I
did enjoy. Was there were no hits outside of her
fan base, which I can acknowledge. Okay, well the one
Fortnite with post Malone, Yeah, yeah, I'll say it.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Well, I told you all previously. She worked and reunited
for the first time since reputation with Max Martin.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Hits are coming, Blondie is coming with hits.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
She is. She knows people want that, she wants that.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
You're right, I wholeheartedly agree. Yeah, I wouldn't fight that
for one second. She's not working with Max if she
doesn't want a big hit.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah, so I'm very excited about that. Speaking of Taylor,
it makes me so I love talking about her. I
love it. It's my favorite topic, especially because it's not like,
you know, remember when we were talking about Britney Spears
all the time, and it was just like, I mean,
Brittany's still being Brittany, but things seem not volatile at
the moment. So that's a good thing, Taylor. I think

(09:42):
we might have talked about this on the Patreon, but
there's like a little add on to that. She went
out to dinner with Dakota Johnson in New York City.
Do we talk about that? On the Patreon.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Yet that happened Friday night.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Oh okay, So Taylor went to dinner with Dakota Johnson
in New York City and the Easter Egg queen grabbed
her new bestie and wore her florals. I'm just saying
she was wearing her flo Oh my god, that's funny.
And also, you know, Dakota used to be good friends
with Blake Lively. Also, in fact, at the SNL fifty,

(10:14):
Dakota was one of the few people there to actually
like pose for pictures with Blake Lively. So the fact
that Taylor went to dinner with Dakota and wore florals,
I'm just saying it might be nothing, but it could
be something. And then a day or two later, Taylor
went out to dinner with Selena Gomez, whom I think

(10:35):
I have said this before on some of our On
one of our shows, it's been rumored by us hardcore
swifties that Selena never liked Blake Lively. Didn't I share
that with you.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
No, we never said that before. Oh I never even
knew if they had a friendship. You're right, I've never
actually seen them together.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
I'm pretty sure I have mentioned it, even if it
was in passing. But yes, the og Swifties US hardcore
fans have always speculated and never really seen them hanging
out together. So yeah, Selena was never down with Blake Lively.
And the fact that Taylor went out to dinner with
Dakota Johnson then Selena Gomez in New York City, where

(11:14):
Blake Lively lives. That relationship, that's the final nail in
the coffin. It's so dead. And you know that Blake
is seething because Taylor's in town having these very high
profile dinners with other famous people and not her. There's
no other way to interpret it.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
I believe you. I think the relationship is dead. She
would have dragged her out by now if it wasn't,
and I think that says it all unless she's working
somewhere that we don't know about. But what both of
them wore, I mean, Selena Gomez had like a power
business suit on or something. I don't even know how
to describe that, but it was like it was so
high fashion and so like not just hanging out with friends.

(11:53):
It was the purpose. It's going to be yeah, yeah, yeah,
So back to your theory that something's coming this week.
I think that may lend into it a little bit,
like she's leading into something.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Yeah, the fact that she had the two back to
back also she's like, yeah, she's priming us. Yeah for sure.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
There's there's something to that, and it add one more
thing to it. I think she's a little maybe a
touch chap by the President saying she's not hot anymore.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I think, oh, that has nothing to do with it.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I think there's part of it, like I'm going to
go out and show people that I'm still hot. And
when you see the you know, the fever that was
kicked up when her and Selena came out of a
restaurant together and all the press that it got and
blah blah blah. She's still very much at the top
of the pop culture mouth and whatever you want to
call it.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Oh, for sure, Donald Trump's clueles, Yeah, no shit. Speaking
of Selena Gomez, it has been announced that Meryl Streep
is coming back for Only Murders in the Building season five,
which makes sense. She is dating Martin Short, So what
a great gig to get paid and in time with

(13:00):
your boyfriend. Do you watch that show? Have you seen it?

Speaker 1 (13:03):
I don't. Kellen does. I've just never got around to it.
She didn't think i'd like it. She's pretty good of
knowing I like something.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I would be all about. Hacks. God, I gotta watch Hacks.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Hacks is the best show you watched? Oh my god,
it's my favorite show.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
It is.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Oh, oh my god, Yes, I love it. I mean,
you know, I'm a Joan Rivers fan, and it's loosely
based off of her. And they just started the final season.
I actually just started watching the first episode, not final,
the latest, well the latest, maybe there is another one.
I don't know why I was thinking of the final,
but I love that show. I absolutely love it. I
cheerlead for it. I think it's fantastic. Those women are

(13:38):
absolutely powers, and I just I love the shit out
of it.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Have you watched the new season event just like that
came out? Did you watch any of that?

Speaker 1 (13:46):
I don't watch that. I just I'm caught up on
friends and Neighbors with John Hamm and Olivia Munn and
all of them. I like that. It's it's not great,
but it's fun.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
In other news, from Taylor Swift to Cardi Ya yay.
She's still married to Offset even though she's now dating
that NFL player we talked about that, Stefan Diggs of
the Patriots. Is he a good player?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
He is, Okay, good for her. Are the Patriots a
good team? Were they last season? No?

Speaker 1 (14:16):
No, no, they haven't been good since Brady Well.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Offset has amended his divorce filing and now is asking
for spousal support from Carti by I don't know for sure,
but if I had to guess, knowing Cardi and Offset,
they don't have a prenup and for the years that
they've been married, she definitely made a lot more money

(14:41):
than him, so he would be entitled I think to
half of that.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Interesting though, first Carti said nothing. The first day, she
just retweeted somebody who speculated she loves Twitter. So a
fan commented that it's not even about the money. Offset
that is just jealous that Cardi has a new boyfriend,
you know, and like, oh okay. But then the next day,

(15:06):
Oh my god, this is pretty fucking funny and inappropriate.
Maybe she went back on Twitter and went on one
of those Twitter spaces and said the following the fact
that I'm waking up right now to see that this
effing well, I guess it's the podcast. It's kind of
funny if you bleep it. The fact that I'm waking
up right now to see that this fucking N word

(15:28):
and his fucking ass team, I know it's not his team.
I know it's his bitch ass going to tell the
Breakfast club, the only reason why this motherfucker asking for
espousal support is because I was asking for everything, and
because I don't be with my kids. YO, use such
a fucking pussy ass and word word to my mother.

(15:50):
I want you to die, but I want you to
die fucking slow end word when you die, N word,
I want you to die slow in the bed. And
when you die, and word, you gotta think of me.
Then she went on to reveal that this guy's straight
up lying and he hasn't even seen their kids in months.

(16:14):
He has the ability to She's not blocking them from
seeing their kids, but he's not seen them since March.
And also she used this opportunity to drop the name
of their youngest daughter, who is like three or four
months old. Their daughter is named Blossom. Blossom like the

(16:34):
nineties sitcom character I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Kind of pretty yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
She also went on to say there is not one
day he's not allowed to see my kids. Okay, I
love how she said my kids. Like that was purposeful,
like she's gonna hurt him by saying my kids.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
I like that. You think she's thought out, that's funny.
I think she is. She's stream of consciousness and just
said whatever stupid thing rolls through her head and it
just comes out on Twitter. It's just so dumb.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
He stood up my kids three times, and I've been
trying to save your face. Stop playing because you don't
want to look like less of a bitch ass and
word you talk.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
We move on. I've had enough of this ridiculousness. That's
all dumb.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
It brings me, Joe. It is dumb, but brilliant, fabulous, dumb.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
To a point then you're just like, Okay, I've got it.
I got it.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Well, it seems like Offset might actually need the money.
He owes a lot in back taxes to both the
State of Georgia and the Irs ouch. He owes about
three hundred thousand dollars to the State of Georgia and
unpaid taxes, and they've filed a state lien against him,
and he owes the Irs over a million dollars in

(17:49):
unpaid taxes, and they've also filed a lean against him. Oops.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
I wonder if offset's still hot. No, he's a negos
still right. They broke up, so he's got no heat
right now.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
No, but I bet you he still probably gets paid
to do like club gigs. Yeah, and club gigs probably
pay him like twenty k a pop I would imagine.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Okay, So I mean I don't know. I'm guessing he's
got the means to make some money. I'm saying, Oh,
but it's probably easier to take Cardi B's money. Yes,
that's why she's so pissed off.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
And she's making a lot of money. She just announced
a partnership with Revolve clothing companies, so she's still crushing it.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
It's wild. It's funny how the universe picks some people.
I don't get it. But a couple of good songs
and a wild Twitter account you can make millions.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
I mean, it's actually really I love it though, because
twenty years ago, brands would not touch Cardi B. And
now they're all about her. Yeah, despite everything, or maybe
because of everything.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Actually, not everybody wants a good person image. Some people
like Messi and whatever. You know, there's an audience for it,
because there's an audience of human beings out there that
are like that. So nothing shocks me. There's a kind
of a market for everything.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Now in other news, if you're also easily not offended,
But if you're one of those losers who instantly shuts
down whenever anybody talks politics if they disagree with you,
fuck off Jesus. I've said this time and time again.
I'm a centrist. I agree with some philosophical things about conservatism,

(19:23):
phil philosophical things about conservatism and liberalism and all of
that stuff. But I don't really like Candace Owens, but
I follow her, like I want to know what these
people are saying. I want to know what they're thinking.
I follow Megan McCain, I follow Megan Kelly, I follow
Ben Shapiro, like, and sometimes I agree with them.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Yeah, well sometimes they make good points. Bill Maher makes
good points sometimes, you know.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Yeah, Like, you know, and I'm not afraid to speak
out about that, like the more I think about it,
like the more I you know, there was all this
controversy recently about this one transgender high school athlete. Did
you see all that chatter? Oh yeah, I'm not bothered
by what they came up with. They let that transathlete
compete and she won, but then the other person who

(20:06):
came in second got first as well, So like, who
the cares? All right, that girl got first, still right, right,
But if they if they weren't going to do that,
if they weren't going to come out with those results,
then I don't think she should have been able to compete. Yeah,
I'll say that.

Speaker 1 (20:20):
I didn't know that that was the final.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Yeah, that's what they agreed, is all. Yeah, yeah, Oh.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Good to me. I'm hearing this for the first time,
and I'm going, okay, yeah, I'm fine with it exactly.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
They both got first place, so good for them.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I just think it's crazy that it's so politicized on
a national level. It's such a local thing. I just
think of whomever's in charge of wherever that is for
that instance, they just make the call one that you
just said is fair, and we move on as a society.
But you know, now it's a talking point for an
entire party, and now there's all this hate spewed of

(20:53):
people that like anything different than traditional man and woman.
It's just stupid.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Man. Well, speaking of politic. Elon Musk has bid ado
to Donald Trump and the White House, but in spectacular fashion,
spectacularly messy fashion. On the same day that he officially
pieced out, The New York Times came out with an
explosive article about Elon's hardcore drug use, which if The

(21:23):
New York Times is reporting this and the recklessness of
this man.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
He doesn't care. When you have more money than anybody
else in the world, why would you care.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
He doesn't care because he's not Jeff Bezos. Jeff Bezos
is not the CEO of Amazon.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Yeah, but it's about the money, That's what I'm saying.
Like he has more money than anybody else in the world, now, I.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Know, but he's still responsible to the shareholders of his companies.
He's CEO of publicly traded companies.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Yeah, there's no question he's hurt his own companies, but
they have boards as well, and they've probably gave him
a talking to. Even when you have more money than
everybody else, you could still get talking to him.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Well. The New York Times reported that reckless Elon wasn't
just even doing drugs privately, he was doing them publicly
at events and at parties. Yeah, and I'm sure he
makes people sign NDA's and shit like that. That's how
the rich people roll though they do their drugs right,
sign in DA's, collect everybody's self cell phones. But still

(22:24):
people are gonna fucking talk.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
I don't even think he was doing that. I think
he was wide out in the open, did not care.
Probably was like a pop and a pill in front
of sy I just think that there's enough people for
the New York Times to say this is truth, because
we have a litany of people going, yeah, we've seen
it firsthand, and they can report it, and they'll just
go back to those people and say, hey, here's our sources.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
They claim that he's been taking that he was take this.
It's interesting because it was very specific to the period
of time where he was helping to get Donald Trump elected,
and they weren't claiming that he's still doing this now.
But back in twenty twenty four in the fall, they
claim that he was ramping up his drug use and
that he was taking molly, slash MDMA, ketamine, mushrooms, and

(23:10):
he denied this after the New York Times article came out.
But even on the last day in the White House,
there's like video of him, and it looks like he's
fucking tripping balls, like tweaking out of his mind. But
then here's where the people turn it into political thing.
He's autistic, he's stimming. I'm like, bitch, please, I fucking

(23:30):
know what stimming is. I actually follow I love following
autistic creators who talk about their autism, like this one
guy named Torrin, this other young guy named Austin. I
find their content really compelling and just to see into
their lives. There's stimming and then there's fucking tweaking. Eli's
fucking tweaking.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Okay, like he is not well, we bit enough circles.
We could tell the difference between the tips.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
I know, it's like ridiculous, but goodbye and good writtens. Finally, yeah,
all right, onto some new releases. Miley Cyrus came out
with her album Finally. Did you get a chance to
listen to that?

Speaker 1 (24:10):
I didn't. I didn't know the whole album had dropped.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yes, it came out Friday, and I mean, it's not
as bad as I thought it was going to be.
It's not quite that experimental, but it's just so mid
it's so basic. I'm curious. I don't even know if
it'll debut in the top ten shockingly.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Well, typically I know when an album's coming out. I
didn't know this was out this weekend.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Yeah, she's done press for it, and she did the
whole visual thing as well. It sucks when listening to
an album feels like a chore. Yeah, and that's what
it felt like to me on the flip side. By contrast,
I say this with full sincerity and not just because
I'm friends with them. Listening to the new Heidi mom

(25:00):
Tag album a fucking delight.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Really.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
It is super gay, super campy, super cheesy, but in
the best way. It's such a fun album. I cannot
stop listening to it.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
But you know, it's weird, and I know you just
sold it really well. But if you said the new
Miley album or the new heidimont Tag album, I would
actually run to hear the Heidie mont Tag album first,
just because there's been so much Miley of you know,
the experimentalization of music and all that that just puts
me off. Where I hear this and I saw like

(25:37):
maybe a Weho Pride performance or something of her, and
she looked hot as fun out there, and I was like,
all right, you know, I'm kind of weirdly more excited
to check that out, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
But it actually I mean, I don't say cheesy or
campy or gay as what I mean it's but it's
actually like really good. I was not shocked, but I
was like maybe more like uh proud for them because
they've worked so hard for this moment and to see
her over the weekend perform at this big festival in
the UK called Mighty Hooplah.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Oh it wasn't Pride she was at Okay, I just
assumed that I was product. No, no, well, I saw something
and I assumed it was Pride.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
She is doing some Pride performances, but this was in
the UK.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
I did see what you're talking about, and.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Holy fuck she performed.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
It was like tens of thousands of a lot of people.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I texted them and I said a couple of things
because like I've always liked to just like share my
honest opinions with them. I said, as a fucking p
she needs backup dancers. And I won't reply with what
they told me because you know, confidential.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
Well that costs money. I'm sure that has something to
do with the response, and you know, they're keeping a
ground level at the moment, and you know, keeping it small,
and it sounds like it's working.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
I'm not going to reply with what they say, well, okay, fine,
fuck it whatever. It's not a thing bad. It's not
anything bad. They said, that's coming, and the backup dancers
are already rehearsing.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Oh good.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
But what was more important for them? And when Spencer
explained it to me, it made a lot of sense.
They wanted to make sure they had the best sound
engineer so that she sounded the best with live vocals.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
That means the most, it really does, and fuck dancers,
you got to be able to perform first.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
And that that's not cheap, that that a good sound
person is expensive. Not yes it's not.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
But when you're serious, those are the things you focus on,
not the dumb, fucking dancers and everything else.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
So they've been focusing on that and getting her comfortable
with the mic and sounding good and figuring it all out.
And I was like, you know what, fucking kudos because
it's really trial by fire. Like she's been releasing music
for a while, but this year things kind of exploded
for her because of the whole fires and the social
media goodwill towards them, So that's coming and I'm just
so proud of them. Congratulations, And like the album really

(27:50):
stands on its own. It's not gimmicky. It's like cutting
edge producers and sounds and check it out, like check
it out for yourselves. Good. So all right. Also, speaking
of new music, and if you want to check out anything,
I am obsessed with this one song. It's called Shy
Girl by this duo called Hot and Freddy. I had
never heard of them before. A friend of mine shout

(28:12):
out to Ariyen, who works at Apple Music, turned me
onto them. And it's my favorite song of twenty twenty five.
It's very eighties sound.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
No, I think it's nineties like Robin sounding.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
No, well, I was about to say, it's both eighties
sounding and early two thousands, yes, like electroclash.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Oh I guess Robin was two thousands.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Jesus, I'm all yeah, I love electroclash. Hot and Freddy's
Shy Girl. Obsessed. Can't get enough of that song. Also,
Halsey and Amy Lee of Evanessence came out with a
song from the Ballerinas soundtrack the New Anna the Adamas movie.
It's basically Halsey doing an Evanessnce song with Evanessence.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Well, and they're touring together and they perform it together
some nights, and it's really getting a lot of tracks.
I don't know if that well, I don't know online
it is. I don't know if that makes it a
hit song or.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
I mean, I like it.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
I think it's cool too. Yeah, who knows what up
is down when it comes to hits anymore.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
I don't think it's a hit, but I like it,
if that makes sense.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
Yeah, No, I feel.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Yeah, it's like a good song, but it's not like
a hit.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Yeah, I mean the song you just talked about. I
like it a lot.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
It's not a hit, but I think it's a hit.
I sent him that shy girl song from Hot and Freddy.
I think it's a hit. Even if it's not a hit,
it'll be a hit with the Gaze, and that's what matters.
The Gaze are very loyal.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
That's what I mean about you. Up is down anymore?
Like what defines a hit? And if you can be
a hit in some sort of genre, that's the new hit.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Going back, Like Perez really loved the role Model song.
He came in there ya by the way, and still
I'm still waiting for that to kind of pop, like
really pop. And it's great online and it's you know,
it's on pop radio, but it still hasn't like had
that thing that's pushed it all the way through. It's
a good song, but it's not there yet. That doesn't

(29:56):
mean it's not a quote hit. It's just it's so
many differ different things that factor into that. Now it's
it's hard to tell.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
I always knew that it would take some time with
that role Model song.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, I still go back to what I said the
first time. The hook is fantastic, but the rest of
the song really needed some work.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
I think I love the whole song anyways. Speaking of
music and musicians and acting, Lady Gaga showed up at
this big Netflix event. It's kind of like they're upfronts.
It's called I don't know why, it's called to Doom
to dumb.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yeah, no, it's when you turn on Netflix, it goes
to doom.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Oh so stupid hard.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
I mean, unless somebody told you, you wouldn't figure it
out on your own.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Lady Gaga showed up and performed like an eight minute
little Medley.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
She probably got like a million dollars to do this
or more.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
She's on fire. She is on fire because it's crazy.
That was such a great performance from her. If you
haven't seen it, it's on YouTube. I think the thing
with Gaga this era is that she is genuinely happy
and grateful to be doing what she's doing, and I
think that's coming across and she's having fun. Most importantly,
she's having fun.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
Yeah. I think her life is good. Yeah, you know
what I mean, Like, I think she loves every aspect
of her life right now, the performance part, the personal part,
the art part.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
So yeah, So that was awesome. Plus, she is going
to be appearing on season two of Wednesday, which is
one of the other reasons why she was there. We've
got a little bit of information on who she'll be playing.
If you watch that show. She is playing Rosalind Rottwood,
a legendary never More teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
So it's a fun show. It's so fun. It's very
eighties reminiscent and shows like that. I'm like, I don't
know if you're going to be able to recapture the magic,
but they have. They did a great job on that
first season. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Also, speaking of pop stars acting, it's been announced that
Ariana Grande's follow up in the acting world to Wicked
is Meet the Parent four, which is weird, Like, I
get it. On one sense, it makes sense because it'll
be a hit, you know, it'll do well the box office.
But on the other hand, it's like, that's what you're

(32:11):
going to follow up Wicked with. Yeah, it feels like
a decision made out of fear, Like she's afraid to
like headline a movie herself, so she just wanted to
do another sure thing.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Well yes and no, maybe you just want to change
gears and you want to be seen differently, because that
is not Wicked at all, and it's not leaning into
what she does. It is something different.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Oh, that's totally what she does. She began her career
on Nickelodeon.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
I mean the singing aspect of it. This is acting.
It doesn't sound like she's leaning on her singing abilities
as she did in Wick.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
She was on two sitcoms on Nickelodeon. They were very success.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
The fucking people watch those kids. Me as an adult,
I've never seen one of them.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
A lot of people watched victorious and since.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
She was a kid, I mean, she wants to make
sure she's got her It's fine, I get.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
It, I get it, but I just think what a
wasted opportunity. All right. On the Patreon we talked about
Fifth Harmony's reunion. Yeah, and a little update on that.
Alie Brooke from Fifth Harmony just eloped with her husband
Will Bracy, who's going to be managing Fifth Harmony for
their for their comeback. He also is the manager of

(33:22):
Justin Bieber, which might bode very well for this Fifth
Harmony comeback if they're able to get Fifth Harmony to
open for Justin Bieber. If Fieber goes on ice pairing, yeah,
that's a great pairing for Fifth Harmony. However, the reason
I wanted to bring this up Ali and her boyfriend,
after ten years together, fucking eloped and didn't invite their family.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
We're thinking about doing the same thing.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
No, you cannot do that. Keep it small, don't invite me,
don't invite any work people. But you have to fucking you, no,
you have to invite your family first. If you're not,
don't fucking elope, No, don't fucking do that.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
So everybody could do whatever they want no. Now, yes,
it's not your fucking wedding.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yeah, but you have to at least invite her siblings
and father and your mother and siblings. That's it. No,
Oh my god, this would be so upsetting. It's it's
kind of like reminding me of everything that happened with
Victoria Beckham and her son's wedding, which that fucking story.

(34:25):
How crazy that that wedding happened years ago and now
it's like having another life now. And when the wedding
originally happened, there were all the reports. Originally there was
so much drama with the wedding and they fired one
of the words.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
They say, the epithets of the whole thing. But the
girl's not liking one another's the fucking dress. That's where
this started.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
There was two of them. One it was about the
dress because Victoria had offered to dress Nicola for the
wedding and then for some reason didn't and we don't
really know the truth about why. But then another reason
was Nicola the bride was lef in tears over the
first dance Mark Anthony performed at the wedding, But Victoria

(35:06):
counters that that was not the first dance. There was
the traditional father daughter dance and this and then the other,
but Nicholas said, no, we wanted the real, the real
first dances when Mark was performed, Like, oh god, it's
I think by now, I think it's actually the more
stories are coming out, I think the real issue is like,

(35:27):
she's just a spoiled billionaire's daughter. Yeah, they're all brat,
but she's probably like the bigger brat because she's fucking young,
you know, like a young brat.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
It's like a bunch of Ariana grandees.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Yeah, the Beckhams are old brats. Anyways, very briefly, let's
wrap up some things here. Sewn Mendes has announced that
for the first time in a while, he is going
on tour, and I think he could still sell out
arenas if.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
He had a hit song. Right now, he could, but
that's a hard cell with no hit song.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
He doesn't have a hit song. But he still does
have a lot of fans, and he's not doing many
dates in the US, so some of his hardcore fans
going to be like, well, fuck, he's not playing in
my city. Let me travel to la or New York
to go see him.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Well, yeah, if you can't sell off something in La
or New York, then you've got a big problem.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah, so he's only doing the major cities and not
that many dates, so good for him. Also, God fucking
Todd chrisly Obnoxious released from prison and being a clown
to be expected. A very brief update because we mentioned
it previously, Patty Lapone all this Broadway drama over the weekend,

(36:35):
She shockingly issued an apology to Audra McDonald and Keisha Lewis.
Patty Lapone is not one to apologize, so that was
very nice to see. Also sending some positive vibes to Rihanna.
Her father has passed away after a brief illness. I
think he was just seventy years old, not very old,
so very sad. And finally wrapping things up, happy pride

(37:00):
to former lesbian Jojo Siwa, who is now in her
not lesbian era. Her boyfriend Chris Hughes really took it
up a notch, sharing a picture of the two of
them in bed cuddling seemingly naked together or at least
he was shirtless.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Well, they just went to Poundtown and they took a
picture afterwards to look at.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Yeah, and in a new interview that just came out
today with The Guardian, Jojo finally confirmed for the like
what we've all known. But as recently as last week
she was in the UK doing press and refused to
label their relationship and so did he. But now today
finally she said, well, it's not platonic anymore, like nah, duh,

(37:42):
no shit. Well, good for her.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
It's just so weird because she's just it's like we've
done this show for a decade and she was just
a little kiddy thing when we first started talking about her.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Now she's getting the dick, yeah right, like she's.

Speaker 1 (37:56):
All grown up. It's just fucking weird. God, my little neighbor.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Although she still gives me big dyke energy. Okay, yeah,
and I could say that word, y'all, don't go around
saying that word. But she still gives me total butch vibes.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Let's wrap it up, all right, calls.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Okay, I'm not leaving my name or anything because I've
got kind of a hot take here. But I am
a Christian. I did vote for the first time ever
for Donald Trump. I know you guys are like boo.

Speaker 1 (38:26):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
I don't know what's going on. I'm a dumb girl. Okay, whatever,
but Chris chrisly getting out or whatever. Like, No, I'm
not like, oh yay, I'm so glad he got out
or they got out or whatever. I am kind of like, oh,
good for their daughter because like Perez, i've seen her
like advocating for them or whatever. But now, do I
think they're like a danger to society. No, So that's

(38:48):
kind of why I don't really care that they got out.
But I hope that they do have to pay their
money back because I have to pay my money. But
I don't think anyone's just like just so excited that
they got out. I mean, if they are just because
they're a fan of watching the daughter advocate for the Secondly, Forerez,
your mom leaving on Father's Day, that's a dick move,
and I feel like your sister is doing it on
purpose in my marrige, so these things, that's definitely something

(39:10):
Nicest would do. And if I was you, I would
be upset to I think that you have every right
to be upset about that. That's messed up.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
I love y'all, Budy wonderfully, because you know my hold on.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Let me just say, because we talked about this on
the patreon, and this is just another reason to get
the patreon, just a tiny bit of backstory. Father's Day,
your mom won't be there. She'll be at your sister.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
So my mother was not here for my birthday, she
was not here for Mother's Day, and now she's also
missing Father's Day. But the same shit that happened for
my birthday is the same shit fucking fit for Father's Day. Right,
My birthday is on March twenty third. My niece's birthday,
she just turned five in March, is on March twenty first.
My mom could fucking fly back to Vegas on the
twenty second, or even on the twenty third and have

(39:50):
done both, but she didn't want to.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
This is why you guys are missing the patreon because
this is the kind of crap we want to do.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
No, that's not a self of the patreon. That's sucking boring.
Yes it is.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
I mean, that was a great fucking second.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
But on Father's Day, my sister's birthday is the fourteenth,
and Father's Day is the fifteenth. If she wanted to,
she could be back for Father's Day. Okay, but no,
so I mean, and then here's the thing. It's right,
like the when my mom told me, I was like,
I don't want to have an argument with her about it,
so I just like took it. You know, you take it.

(40:22):
I'm like, Okay, it's shitty and I'll just stew whatever.
I'm too good to my mom and that's okay. I'd
rather be too good to her than not, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Well, okay, And to address the first part, we were
talking about the release of the chrislies, and you know,
my question was what was in it for Trump? Because
I mean, you really give a good answer. She didn't
because I think she was more. And first of all,
you're not dumb for your vote. You're not. I very
much understand. The Democratic Party is a bit of a

(40:52):
shit show itself. They didn't do a lot, they didn't
have a prime here. There's a lot of fucking things
that they did wrong. Not enough things for me to
say I'm going to vote for that fucking orange idiot
instead of the Democratic Party. But that's neither here nor there.
I do understand it. You're not dumb for your vote, Okay,
to stop that, But the whole I don't want I
didn't understand what he's getting out of it, and maybe

(41:14):
she did answer it by saying, it's just another ego boost,
it's another it's one of my people, and he got
to feel good about it. But if you're the crime
and Law and whatever party, all you've done is you've
freed these January sixth people. They're all fucking on camera
assaulting police officers. You can fucking see the actual people

(41:34):
they got pardoned. Now you're letting these criminals out of jail. Like,
how do you sit there? On one side of your
mouth say oh, I'm for law and order. On the
other side, you're letting fucking convicted criminals out of jail.
But then again, when you're a felon as a president,
I shouldn't be shocked. I don't think a felon should
be allowed to let felons out of jail. But that's
just me.

Speaker 2 (41:53):
Donald Trump did not rule out pardoning Diddy when asked
about it.

Speaker 1 (41:58):
Well, you know, he likes lies, he likes people talking
about it.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
But I think he might actually do it.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Nah, he's not doing it.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
I don't know. We'll see. All right, y'all, have a
wonderful rest of your week. Hope to see some of
you Thursday at patreon dot com, slash Perez Hilton, Take care, guys,
