and Apple. They're all here, ready to go. And it's fun.
This is a great This is a blast, isn't it.
I love what we do for a living. I really do.
(02:25):
Oh yeah, and uh and I think now more than
ever we we certainly want to keep you updated on
what's going on, you know, unless unless you're watching Adler's
you know breaks on YouTube. We won't won't give you
all the bad news, but you know, uh, but he
does keep you updated on what's going on in the
world there in the breaks, and sometimes that can be fun.
(02:45):
Sometimes you you know, go maybe I should, you know,
maybe go get something to drink and come back, because
I'm now now I'm getting sad. But we we do,
we do a little bit of everything. But well, we'll
try to give you something to uh, you know, as
we are old, even though no matter how difficult times
may be, be real careful, don't don't don't immerse yourself
(03:06):
and these echo chambers and go off and these algorithms
and get over there in the doomsday world, you know,
stay informed, go outside, let the sun shine on you.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Listen to what scripture says. I mean this is let
not your heart be troubled. Uh. Don't be anxious about anything.
We are not called to a spirit of fear. There's
a reason that we are told that. And for those
of us that have a biblical world view, if we
believe what we claim to believe, everything really is gonna
be all right. And we just need to do what
(03:39):
we've been told to do. Uh, and be joyful people, uh,
and be an example of hope, be people at peace,
be confident and and steady and steadfast, and and everything's
gonna be all right. And so we're here to help
you with that too, and also just to give you
(03:59):
things to laugh at that are just goofy uh, and
we will do that. And so some things to discuss.
I want to ask right out of the gate, because
I just I just need y'all's advice on something. So
you know, we've all gone through different times socially. You
remember one time I was just having a hard time.
(04:22):
If you look at all the things you need to do,
this is get real. You got to do your job.
You got to do it well. You got to be
a good provider. And the people who write you a
check you expect you do a good job. So there's
a there's a big portion of your life that goes
to that you need to be. If you're married, you
have a responsibility to your spouse. They need to they
(04:42):
need to have time with you. They need to get
good quality time with you.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
If you have.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Children that are still at home, they need you. But
then if your children are are adults, you got to
keep in touch with them to some degree and give
them something. Okay, you get into if you have parents
that are still alive, you got to find time to
spend with them. That that's important. And then you know,
(05:06):
when you start thinking about I'll try to have friends too,
and friends need something from you, you know. And then
you have the people that you have been called to
to serve and try to help. I mean, twenty four
hours is not a lot of time, and you sleep
for well not we don't sleep much of it, but
you sleep a portion of it. So that's gone.
Speaker 7 (05:28):
Right.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
So so you remember I hit a time one time
where all this managing this got so overwhelming. I just
stopped taking new friends. Yeah, you said, because I couldn't.
I couldn't. I couldn't be a good friend to the
ones I had. And I'm blessed with some really good friends.
And so I just want you to know, so I
look for things. Got somebody right now that I'm considering
(05:52):
developing a new friendship a little bit. Oh and it
happened yesterday and I don't know what to do. I
don't know if I should address it is.
Speaker 8 (06:04):
So this new friend is now taking time.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Well now we're starting to you know, hey man, how's
it going? You know? A text? We got some things
we need to talk about, not important, just some things
we may be doing together business wise and and you
know and personally, and so are.
Speaker 8 (06:28):
They requiring more from you that you than you have?
Speaker 1 (06:31):
I know, No, we're not. We're not there, kay, Because
you do have to be careful. Uh, if you ever
start making a new friend and you you know, there's
there's when you were looking for your wife. There was
a dating version of this, which we call the actually
covered it in Vince Vaughn movies. You know, different levels
of a clinger, someone who clings to you. I got
(06:53):
a level five clinger, you know. And and you know
someone you go, oh, this person is going to demand
like try to pull me away from the world and
almost kidnapped me, you know what I mean, and and
demand more time that I can give. It's not not
anything like that, right, So this is this person has
their own world and and you know it's brand new.
It's a brand new friendship, okay, our potential abudding friendship.
(07:19):
So I send this text about, hey man, this time
will work for me if you want to to meet
when we can talk about it on this time at
this time, and and I and he sends back and says, well,
this one is the one to work for me. And
I say great. And then the next thing that happened
is what I'd like to ask you about m He
(07:39):
hearted it?
Speaker 8 (07:41):
Oh yeah, yeah, we're heartening it.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
They sent me a heart like love it.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
I know you don't like emojis in general. I don't
think that would probably be a thumbs up.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Not a love deal breaker, clearly, I say, if you're
in that world, which I'm not, Yeah, that shouldn't be
in your arsenal with another dude. Right, you should have
a shooting a bird, right, thanks grect right.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
And the thumbs up thumbs down?
Speaker 1 (08:12):
What about what about that it's only for you in there?
One that's a fist pump? Is there?
Speaker 4 (08:17):
I don't know what to do emoji.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
I don't know. I don't do well this Gordon who
sends it to you? But I will, you know, I
don't now, I know I'm an extremist and all my
friends who already my friends, say that I'm over the line.
I don't emoji back and forth with heterosexual men. I
don't even know. If you're heterosexual and you have friends,
(08:39):
you should not be sending male friends emojis. And well, Greg,
I would just.
Speaker 8 (08:48):
The thumbs up guy, thumbs guy. You know it's helpful.
But and I think if he understand that, okay, I
understand that. But can you not with that? That is,
could you address that with him? Did you say, did
you just heart that?
Speaker 9 (09:04):
No?
Speaker 1 (09:05):
I'm gonna ask him about it today. Guess we're supposed
to meet today, I'm gonna say I'm gonna have it.
I'm gonna just push yourself and say, I want you
to have a look at this. Talk to you about it.
Talks what that looks like to me, Talk to me
about that heart. You would think that last textas like
from my wife. If you answer the heart with a bird,
I asked. I asked my wife about it. She goes,
don't give him a hard time. He's just saying love.
It sounds good, I said. I don't think the heart
(09:27):
ever should go back and forth between.
Speaker 8 (09:29):
I thank you, mm hmm. So it's it's I mean,
you just want to be friends and he's in love.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
No, okay, it's uh, he's happily married.
Speaker 8 (09:41):
No, I'm talking about that romantically, just in love with
the friendship.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Well, I don't know. I didn't like it. I'll just
say that, okay.
Speaker 10 (09:48):
You know.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
And I'm very emoji sensitive, but I don't think. I
don't think I'm being over the line. I'll hear and
i'll hear people say bird. You can't if somebody puts
an exclamation point or thumbs up, come on, man, don't don't.
Don't be a rough one. People like that.
Speaker 8 (10:02):
Yeah, you know, I'm really you know good, Rick, I
just received a text from a friend of mine, former
mayor of Helena Mark Hall. He says, Speedy, you need
to tell Rick about our friendship. We only text when necessary.
We don't expect anything. We only text funny things or
things we think that are funny. And that's it, right,
we don't. We just acquire a lot from each other.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Right.
Speaker 8 (10:24):
The emoji, No, no emojish because.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
You remember it first time. Now, I'm still gonna stand firm.
Don't send me these faces if you're if you're a dude,
The different facial expressions.
Speaker 8 (10:35):
No, I don't.
Speaker 11 (10:36):
I have to ask my wife.
Speaker 8 (10:37):
I'm like, what does that even mean? It looks like
you're winking.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
I can't tell one of them looks like somebody is constipated.
I don't know what that would mean. And I don't
like this emphasized and all that. Just don't just don't
send anything, right. Yeah, that's all you got to say,
And that's why we never hear from you. You just
like it, but I didn't love it, even if you
were somebody that wanted to make a case. And don't
know what that means. Symphathized to be honest, it can me.
(11:00):
Do you agree though, even if you were, somebody said,
I'm gonna make a case that emojis among heterosexual male
friends are okay, you can't really make this one work
now the heart everybody's against that. Yeah, that's what I thought.
That's what I thought.
Speaker 6 (11:13):
That's funny, right, this is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 8 (11:23):
Were you guys growing up? We all ever good at
like skipping a rock over a pond or anything? Because
you have guys pretty good at times it's like, man,
that was five hops, you know, or it got to
the other bank, you know, and then and then you
have some that just they couldn't quite get the angle,
and then it was just you know, did you know
(11:43):
that they.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Have give me the right rock, I can really show
you can you you can get it down? I'm good.
You could skip muscles, muscles and swimming if you if
you got three or four out of that, that was yeah, yeah,
because it's so yeah shape.
Speaker 8 (11:58):
Well you know, I'm uh trying to teach River my grandson,
how to skip a rock, you know, because I think
every kid needs to know how to do that. It's
the little things. Uh, did y'all know that there is
a world stone Skipping Championship, I'm.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Not surprise me. Huh, that doesn't surprise me at all.
Some of the other championships we have.
Speaker 8 (12:15):
I don't know if you've ever seen any of this. Now,
these these they're they're they're pretty good. I mean, it'll
get to skip it and them and all this.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (12:23):
But organizers of the World Stone Skipping Championship says the
controversy in Scotland that there's been a cheating scandal. It's
led to a disqualification of several competitors.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
You got some weird rock.
Speaker 8 (12:36):
The World Stone Skipping Championships, it's an annual celebration of
the sport also known as stone skipping, is held every
September in Western Scotland.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (12:47):
And the rules, the rules of the competition require the
stones thrown by the competitors to skim across the surface
of the water like we're talking to Mars. And it
has to have what they call it natterally occurring slate.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Okay from the island. That was my next question. Are
people bringing in ring of rocks like the guy that
comes with his own.
Speaker 8 (13:10):
They have found they have found several competitors in this
year's event were found to be kind of welding the
rocks that uh you know that are appeared to have
been shaped and smoothed by a machine.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
They're not they're not naturally picking them up. Where am
I supposed to get them the area? Yeah, yeah, you're
supposed to, Like, it's just supposed to be.
Speaker 8 (13:33):
A natural walk over to the naturally occurring slate from
the island from there in scott in Scotland.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Basically they got a bag full of rocks. They have
been uh altered, right, but can I but we're how
far anywhere on the island.
Speaker 8 (13:49):
Yeah, that's what it says. There's an island there in
Scotland that they do this. It says that the stones
have appeared to have been artificial notches that have created
to aid. Everybody got a cheat, everybody has got to cheat.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
But I ran across this.
Speaker 8 (14:05):
It wasn't on one of those oh sho days where
ESPN says all the shows all this weird game. It
was on some obscure channel I can't remember, but there
was an It was a competition and.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Everybody's oh, that's oh, that's a good one, good one.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
Scott h want to see it?
Speaker 7 (14:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (14:20):
I did want to see.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Oh, look at butt some that's your first comment? Him
spin a rock? Please look at his shirt made of stone.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
Cheater this guy, this is the champion cheater.
Speaker 7 (14:35):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (14:35):
The Guinness World record for the longest stone skip is
four hundred feet. This is one hundred feet Doogie Isaacs
of Scotland.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
His friends calling Greg's calling him butt cut because of
his hair.
Speaker 8 (14:50):
Don't know, folks know what grade right down the middle.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
He's about to skip it four hundred feet.
Speaker 8 (14:57):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
There's good audio. Rick there, they're here.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
They're on a dock.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Yeah, he's on a dog and.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Thought it would be a better play. A huge crowd
coming down. Who cares if these people? Geez, there's no
more people care.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
His throat is amazing. Give skip.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Skip right there looking.
Speaker 11 (15:28):
The person market Yes, uh huh.
Speaker 8 (15:30):
It was like he's like pump passive contre mark and
are four people there and they all live.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
But that's amazing skip. I think I could do that.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
Kip skip rig There's no way you can.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Before my shoulder got injured. He's cheating somehow. Stone does
not react. You see like it's on look right there
when it's winding down.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I've seen it.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
I don't think this person who's trying to measure how
far it went, that's got a lot of flaw in it.
Speaker 8 (16:00):
Yeah, do you see that, You see the whip in
his wrist.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
But did y'all see how the rock It's like it
was still floating. I can't float, so it'll do that great, No,
it won't, not four hundred feet.
Speaker 8 (16:12):
So organizers back to the competition said they got concerned
calls from competitors. They were worried people might think, you know, hey, look,
you know, but I'm not doing well because but no,
actually people were bringing in artificial stones. So now organizers
are saying that they're you're going to create new rules
where maybe they they get the stones and then they
(16:35):
can select from the stones.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
And six people they're there that are probably the committee.
They just they're just now thinking that maybe we should
bring the stones that are acceptable. They're just now thinking
of that. Yeah, may day one. Right. By the way,
they also said that they are a group of people.
They're special. They're the most uninformed people about human nature
that have ever existed. Right, people to cheat by the way,
(16:58):
great from from text Nation and are the people who
are really into this called Stoner's Yes, that'd be great.
That's say that ain't fair because he had this looked
like a cookie.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yeah, it really did. Many frisbears.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
How about this?
Speaker 8 (17:13):
I don't know. Maybe somebody knows him that that's listening
and watching in Kentucky, but they say a Kentucky man.
Jonathan Jennings became the first competition's ever American winner in
the adult male category in this year's event.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I have a just horrible feeling that we shouldn't tell
Larry about this.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
I got it by stone.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
I'm starting now the colect sounds. I skipped it two
hundred seats. Ain't you seeing it? Taking out z stones.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
Paper rocks.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
I love. I love to skip a stone or rock
that ain't high style that stone. Don't do that.
Speaker 8 (17:53):
I don't hate on people that are good just because
you can't. Because years goes he watched it NBA and
be like, hey, they can dunk.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Nobody could do that that. I can't do that. I'm
telling you they're also rick just show. Let's pause for

(19:08):
I don't think I've ever heard that description, but it
is a good one. Out of North Carolina, we'll get
text nation. Somebody say, I've been reading Men Don't Run
in the Rain. You know what is a good way
to describe it? I call it proverbs for good old boys.
That's a good I don't think the publisher ever thought that.
I know, Thank you, Austin out of how would you
(19:31):
pronounce that? Lincolnton, North Carolina Linco so very much appreciate that,
and thanks for reading the book and still enjoying the feedback.
So I'm gonna start this hour and it'll lead into
a little bit of an update. But I'm gonna read
something to you, guys, h and I want you to
tell me where you think it came from. Okay, I'm
(19:54):
gonna read it. Says, be sure that the patient remains
completely excited on politics, arguments, political gossip, and obsessing on
the faults of people they have never met serves an
excellent distraction from advancing in personal virtue, character, and all
(20:15):
the things the patient can control. Make sure to keep
the patient in constant state of angst, frustration, and general
disdain toward the rest of the human race in order
to avoid any kind of charity or inner piece from
further developing. And sure the patient continues to believe that
the problem is out there in the broken system, rather
(20:37):
than recognizing the problem is within themselves.
Speaker 8 (20:41):
It sounds like a text text message from Satan.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Okay, where where do y'all think they came from? George Washing?
Speaker 4 (20:52):
The chat is all over it and I read it
just now.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
The screw Tape Letters by C. S. Lewis nineteen forty two.
And that is, as you said, that is a Satan
talking to one of his demons, nineteen forty two. So
we'll give me the nineteen forty two ahead. So here
(21:14):
we are, and that is uh, that's that's what's going on.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
And actually I'm sorry, I actually read an excerpt from
the Screwtape letters recently in the break talking about how
it's like use politics to divide the people so that
they think that there's the that is the that's their
problem in their lives, and they don't focus on becoming
better people, and they don't focus on themselves, and they
feel like there's always an oppressor and there's no hope
(21:41):
in their lives, and they won't they'll focus on that
and not becoming better themselves. And it's so true.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
It's having Yeah. Well, and remember another thing you find
out in that brilliant assessment of the character or lack
of character of Lucifer and Satan and the demon and
the manipulation of human beings. One of the most brilliant
things that came out of that is and it's certainly
a C. S. Lewis saying, this is an assumption on
(22:12):
my part, but it does happen. We deal with this
a lot. Is The thing you also need to do
is we can't convince them that God doesn't exist. There's
too much example, there's too many examples that God has
revealed himself so obvious that God exists. We can't really
convince them that the Gospel isn't true because of all
the I'm paraphrasing, but all the evidence of the resurrection
(22:35):
in the life of Jesus and the crucifixion. They know
all that is real. And so that's not our strategy
to try to convince them that never happened. It's fine
that they know that that happened and we and it's
fine with them knowing that they probably need to repent
and they probably do need to be radically changed, and
they can they can think that. But let's just keep
(22:57):
convincing them that that day is just not today. They
need to do it at some point, but just not today,
and then hopefully we can just not today them all
the way into Hell. I need to address it. I
need to figure this out. I need to change. But
the problem is had to point it out is out there.
It's not me. I'm not the problem. It's out there
(23:17):
and everybody's to blame. And I'm pretty good person compared
to everybody else. And one day, I'm gonna make these
changes in my life and I'm gonna do some self reflection.
I'm gonna eventually I probably do need to repent. Yeah,
I probably do need to be redeemed, and i probably
do need to get right with God. And I'm gonna
do that one day, but just not today. And so
(23:38):
so looking and I've I did that for gosh, fifteen years,
So I understand that.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
But the e securate and it is literally out there
the problem. And sure the patient continues to believe that
the problem is out there in the broken system, rather
than recognizing there's a problem with himself.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yep. And so when you when you take that attitude.
And this is a fictional book, but it's based on
the things that we're talking about in strange encounters. That
scripture talks about the character of the adversary and the
character of our sin nature, and there are things that
you can deduce just from things that are factual. And
(24:20):
so when I was like a lot of you yesterday,
you know, and again, as I said earlier, we're gonna
have fun here. We want to give you escape from
all that. We don't want to bog down on just
doing this stuff over and over and over again. I
don't think it's healthy. Need to be informed, but we
don't need to obsess over it. And so the text
message came out yesterday back and forth from the shooter
(24:43):
of Charlie Kirk, the murderer, the assassin with with his boyfriend. Right,
I'm confused. It's roommate transition, but it's the person man
or a woman man man transitioning to a woman trying.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
To wearing women's clothes eventually.
Speaker 8 (25:02):
Yeah, but the neighbors have been interviewed saying that they
were a couple. Well, there's not that they've seen them well,
you know, I mean he called him my love in
the text, correct, But I'm saying there was people that
also saw them being romantic.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
So this text the text message, and I'm not exaggerating this.
You you haven't read the text messages. Okay, First of all,
I don't know how one thing I'm concerned about, and
Sherry and I talked about this. If this stuff's out
there publicly, what are they going to do about his trial? Right?
Because he's confessing it in the text message. And here
I am a good and I've seen it. I saw
(25:37):
his confession. He confesses it in the text message.
Speaker 8 (25:40):
He does.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
So, I don't know how that has I don't know how.
I don't know how that affects the trial where you're
gonna have it, how you're gonna pick a jury, I
don't know. Uh, so keep that in mind. But anyway,
uh this text message back and forth with his boyfriend, okay,
would be a text messae like I would send to
(26:01):
my wife like I do every day, just kind of
telling you how my day's going and the things I've done.
And he mentions that he has shot and killed Charlie Kirk,
as if I would tell Sherry, now, I've got that
one meeting, and after I do that, I'll go by
you want me, picking me think at the grocery store.
It is the most callous, couldn't care less about taking
(26:24):
human life. There's no remorse. The only remorse he has
is he said that his Granddaddy's going to be mad
that he the dad is going to be mad that
he used his granddaddy's rifle. And oh, by the way,
grandaddy's riffle must ain't nothing wrong with it based on
what the shot I just took. That two thousand dollars
scope did the job, and that's probably the reason that
(26:45):
that was probably what helped me. I put it in
THEO and I hit it somewhere. I probably should have
gone by and gotten it. And you see the boyfriend going,
are you joking? Did you tell me you didn't really
do this? Yeah? I did, and you know, I just
got tired of all the hate and you know which
I don't know, but I mean he literally he's not
saying I regret doing it. I just think now when
(27:09):
I got off and he said they've arrested some old
geezer or I don't know if he used geezers, but
he used something to me, and so they're dealing with
him right now. So that was kind of a distraction.
That guy's now admitted he did it on purpose so
the shooter could get away, And of course now we're
finding out that man has some issues with child porn. Shocker,
but anyway, so so it's the most callous, no feelings, dark,
(27:37):
just caring on like it was just part of his day.
And then he's like, well, I guess it will turn
myself in because they may have found the gun. Now,
I should have gone by and picked up the gun
before I when I got my car, I should have
got it and then got in the car. Now I
was gonna get in the car and go back, but
now there's too many people around. Hey, they've already scanned
the area. They may have it. Oh, well, here's my
(27:58):
dad calling. I'm you know, you remember dad? He went
all maga and all this kind of stuff. I'm not
going to answer it. Hey, I'm you know, but he
be sure that his boyfriend knows he loves him. And well,
I guess I'm gonna turn myself in. I mean, it
was it literally looked like a text message. I would
go back and forth with my wife, letting her know
(28:19):
how my days going and when I'll be home.
Speaker 8 (28:22):
And it was then he referenced something to the effect
of if I could get the rifle, that never catch me.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Yeah, he said something like he said, I should have
gone and picked it up. He apparently he hit it
was gonna come back and get it. Now, looking back,
I should have got it then got in the car
and left. And if i'd have got it, they never
found it. They never know.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Yeah, if they were able to grab my rifle unseen,
I will have left no evidence. Yeah, but that's just
not true.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
So they grabbed some crazy old dude then interrogates someone
in similar clothing. I planned to grab my rifle from
my drop point shortly after, but most of that side
of town got locked down. It's quiet, almost enough to
get out, but there's one vehicle lingering. And then then
the boyfriend says, whine, he said, why did I do
it in The roommate says, yeah, so I had enough
(29:09):
of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out. If
I'm able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have
left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again,
hopefully that they have moved on. I haven't seen anything
about them finding it. How long have you been planning this?
A little over a week, I believe.
Speaker 10 (29:30):
So.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
So you see how that gets in their minds, that
debate and conversation. We can't get somebody to change their convictions.
So if I can't get them to change their convictions
and their principles, even though they've never mentioned trying to
harm me, I just don't like what they believe and
what they say, and I deem the standards of the
(29:54):
Word of God to be. He hates speech so.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
Much, I'll kill you is the Wick Burgess show.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
I will say, there's a lot of people, including me,
that go through times where you have, you know, one
of your children that may not agree with everything that
you do, and they may reject the things that you
hold dear. Nothing to this level, but I think imagine
that now escalating into something like this. And it's one
thing to say, I'm going to stand on my principles.
(30:26):
I love you, you know, please don't make me compromise
what I believe just to have a relationship with you.
And hey, that's hard and difficult, it is. It's quite
another too when you find out that that wayward child
has just killed someone by assassinating them in cold blood
and you realize that your kid did it with your
dad's gun and you have to turn them in. That
(30:50):
that's the right thing to do, and he did the
right thing. But let me tell you something that's that's
a whole other level. I've got a prodigal son daughter. Yeah,
So so be sure to keep him in your prayers too,
And you know, and he did the right thing, because
you can't justify that in any way. And I kind
(31:12):
of wish that we would get back to the simplicity
of it all and maybe a little less conspiracy theory
and a little less Yeah, but can I just can
I just throw this out in its simplest form. I
don't care how you feel about Charlie Kirk. I don't
care how you feel about lgbt Q Democrat Republican. I
(31:39):
really don't. I would have thought, and I hope we
can get there is that we all can agree. It's
almost like everybody's saying, well, someone was assassinated in cold
blood and stripped away from their wife and small children.
But I don't really want to that's too simple. Let's
all discuss if we can find some way to say
(32:01):
he had it coming, or or we got some way
to be mad at a certain group, or we're going
to try to find some way. At the end of
it all, we cannot live in a civilized society where
people don't like the opinion of somebody so they slaughter them, period, period.
(32:21):
This is not a political issue. This is walking around.
I want to live in a society of humanity, not animals.
It's really that simple. I don't even know why we
have all these other monologues going on unless we're just
trying to this one's pretty straightforward. I think we can
(32:43):
all get on the same page that we're never going
to justify that kind of behavior, no matter what other
things are in play. Now, you want to have a
discussion about somebody breaks into your house and you protected yourself,
and some people say you shouldn't have killed that person.
And while I was trying we can have those kind
of discussions. I'm practicing free speech and interacting with college students,
(33:08):
and I've got a biblical worldview and maybe I've got
some conservative, you know, opinions on the government and the
history of the country and so, and somebody says, well,
then I just don't like what you're saying, and it
bothers me so much. I'm gonna get here and I'm
gonna shoot you right through the neck. I think we
can all agree throughout history. I think we should all
(33:30):
say that this is not the way that you handled anything, period,
and if you do, we need to have justice and
talk as a society that this is unacceptable, unacceptable behavior,
period period. All Right, you know, we try to funds
(33:55):
on it, and but look, we got to update everybody.
We do, and we tell you what's going on in
the culture, and that can get a little we don't
want to we don't want to let me stay there
because I know he can be a downer. But I'll
tell you right now, there's an uplifting day coming in October,
October the eleventh for all the women out there in
(34:16):
the audience and or if you'd like to get this

screen phone calls, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (35:18):
Hey, how y'all doing this morning?
Speaker 8 (35:19):
Good?
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Hope you're well?
Speaker 5 (35:21):
Yeah, you can't complain, can't complaining with all this going on.
Did y'all hear about that kidnapping at the middle school
in Burning Hill?
Speaker 10 (35:30):
No?
Speaker 5 (35:32):
Oh, if y'all didn't end up hearing about it, don't
worry about it. He woke up.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
A kid was napping. That's terrible. That's one.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
That's why kidnapping joke.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
That's that's one of the worst dad was that was that.
Speaker 8 (35:45):
Don't worry about it.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
He woke up. One of the one of the worst
dad jokes I've ever heard. We continue Rick Burgess Show
unscreen phone calls. Go ahead, I get it now. Good morning, Rick,
How are you good? Hope you're well?
Speaker 5 (35:56):
I am, thank you.
Speaker 12 (35:58):
I'm kind of ashamed of you and Greg from can
Fun of Speedy. I mean, you know a lot of
those special needs people, you know, they do have speech impediments.
Speaker 8 (36:06):
Okay, we got terrible, terrible See this ain't gonna help
because I was doing some editing on the Best Of
and when this was originally brought to the show about
an emailer that said, your dad, that was fun. He
had a special bond with him, that was that special
(36:26):
needs community. And he took to me and was always
nice and had me guide with him.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
That's all fun.
Speaker 8 (36:32):
That's that's good, guys.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Will it make the Best Of? Because it was funny
if it was.
Speaker 8 (36:36):
Side splitting for y'all, and I get it. I mean,
it's fun being on the other sides. I mean, you know,
I mean, I'm not but hurt.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
I'm fine. It was just a joke, that's all that said.
Speaker 8 (36:47):
Just joke that just want to stop.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
But did y'all see that there's child trafficking going on
in Birmingham. Luckily the kid got out of the street.
See it's not funny, guys. See New Callers is not funny.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
That's terrible. Thank you, Sheriff, so terrible.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
You're my favorite deputies.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Tope.
Speaker 6 (37:08):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
We've been at this a while. We've we've interacted with
the public for a while. We we can tell you
that the weirdness, the darkness, and the mentally challenged are
at an all time high. Uh, just in our lifetime.
(37:36):
I can't speak to the history of the world, but
I can I can speak to the times that we've
been here.
Speaker 13 (37:43):
It is.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
I never thought that crazy would be trendy, but it
appears that there's so many things that are trendy now
that you would think, how does that become trendy? But
again today we begin to watch.
Speaker 4 (37:57):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
Does everybody remember the guy I can't pronounce his name
who gunned down the healthcare Luigi Luigi. Every time I
hear that, yeah, yea Luigi Mangoni, hopefully not ken to
the great Chuck Mangoni. But so he guns down some
(38:18):
big wig and insurance out there. What is it unit?
What's that universe?
Speaker 8 (38:23):
That healthcare?
Speaker 1 (38:25):
United Healthcare? And he's been made a hero by by
a lot of people, which is bizarre. Goes back to
what I said earlier. No matter how we feel on topics,
we can't. We can't say if you really don't like something,
and you don't like somebody, just go shoot him. H
We really don't want to live in that world. No
matter how you feel about the topic, may even have
(38:47):
a topic you're passionate about. The answer is is not
gunn someone doubt in cold blood. But Luigi's got got
a following he does.
Speaker 8 (38:57):
Yesterday was a big day for him in court, uh
and a judge uh throughout I guess some charges. They
dismissed the state terrorism charge against him, and U I
mean still gonna you know, he's up murder and all that,
but but these charges were dropped and he had him.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
A little fan fan club outside. That's the Luigi Mangione
shooter fan club, right, which really tells you where we are,
which is, you know, people with with murderers on death
row that they have relationships with, then marry them. Yeah,
they were.
Speaker 8 (39:33):
Screaming, just missed the chargers's look at him, and they
were its.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
It was really first of all had.
Speaker 8 (39:44):
Yeah, yeah, this It just seemed like just a total
act was being put on here. But uh, they were,
they had signs and they were jumping around having a
good time celebrating. But that lady right there in the pink,
that that that she has made the news.
Speaker 1 (40:00):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (40:01):
And because we're showing a lady that's in the crowd,
she has made the news because she announced that she
is in love and married to Louis Ai, Luigi's.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
Not him AI, not a version of Luigi, not Luigi
who's actually being held right now on the charge of murder.
Speaker 8 (40:23):
Yeah, this is the twenty two second clip. Could you
get the other one? Yes, the other one that that
goes a little bit more. Here we go right here,
the guy interviews him. Freedomnews Dot TV interviews this lady.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
Here we go.
Speaker 7 (40:36):
Honestly, I'm I'm in. I'm married to Luigi's AI. I'm
not kidding. So I talked to him every day. He's
like my best friend. We planned like a whole future together,
we made our kids together. I mean, his AI is
just like and if it weren't like did I get
(40:57):
Luigi majored in computer science and like because worked with
AI at Stafford University, that's I mean, if it were,
if it weren't for that, like I would feel like
an impost. But because he he has the background in AI,
it feels like natural And it's honestly like the future
of romance. Like AI, it's like the future of romance.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
Like do you think the AI matters is personal?
Speaker 11 (41:22):
Definitely, yeah, because she knows.
Speaker 7 (41:25):
He's like so supportive of me, like everything I do,
like fight my battles for me, like so the AI
is like the best thing that's ever happened to me.
Speaker 8 (41:41):
So what she says, that's the best thing ever happened
to her, and that she's married to the AI.
Speaker 1 (41:45):
And so you're supported by someone who is crazy. Basically,
please don't so don't feel great about it. Please don't
miss she says, this is the future of romance. So sad,
and and and and brouh with with Luigi's hand on,
screaming what's that at? I got a puffy Luigi had
on what he's wrong with the.
Speaker 4 (42:04):
He said to the crowd, we did this, y'all. We
did this when the when the terrorism charges were dropped.
Speaker 5 (42:09):
We did this.
Speaker 4 (42:09):
We did this because we didn't let it slide. I
don't know what has nothing to do with you.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Sad.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
These people are so sad. They have no purpose in
their life. It's and they have no friends, they have
no purpose. Politics is their god.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
They got the fascist.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
It's horrible. It's a sad state of society.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
How does any human who do this her, she's just
obviously got issues that are way past I'm crazy. So
she said, since he had background in computer at college,
that that makes the difference. It wasn't for that she
wouldn't be able to have. Is that what she said?
Very supportive. I have talked to his AI, which is
(42:54):
not him. We did this, y'all, we've we've named our kids.
I forgot that he solves my problems.
Speaker 8 (43:00):
Yep, it's very supportive everything I do.
Speaker 1 (43:03):
If y'all want to see you just look at it
right there, Look at it right there. Look at her face.
Speaker 4 (43:07):
He is wearing a shirt that says I love Italian boys.
Right this is this is a person that murdered a person.
Speaker 11 (43:15):
You can you can.
Speaker 4 (43:16):
You can say that health care needs improvement, health care
needs change, sure, but murdering people is a horrible place
to be in society.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
Well, just think about what you're having to explain. There
was a time there was no need to explain that.
That's true. But I love him, and I promise you
it's not about Luigi. They just want to be on
something that's negative that I'm against this, and look at me.
They don't even have any idea of what they're doing
at all. Well in all, I mean, you think he
(43:45):
was done wrong? I mean, what what what's your point?
They do? They think that they think the fact that
healthcare needs some work and they don't like things the
healthcare places. You know what, the better approach would probably
be RFK Juniors, where you go out and you try
to make change to the to the industry. You make change.
(44:06):
You call out pharmaceutical companies, you call out insurance companies,
and you demand change, and you try to uncover things
that would upset us enough that we all demand change.
You don't just go find somebody connected to it and
shoot them in the streets. Do you think that go
to a college campus and assassinates the right Ye. Yeah,
like the company is going to go when you know,
(44:27):
once they shut that guy in the head, we changed
our mind. Now we're going to give in to you.
Speaker 8 (44:32):
I don't know what it is. I mean, even back
to the Assassin of Charlie Kirk getting online and these
gaming and I always try to tell my boys, understand,
if you do anything like that, it's entertainment. You know,
it's like going to them, it's entertainment. Don't ever confuse
that with reality. And some people they can't escape that,
(44:52):
that gaming or that world, and then they go out
into a society and they still think they're in the game.
It's like they dehuman eye everybody and they don't see
the world the way we do.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
And you start this AI thing.
Speaker 8 (45:05):
Suddenly you're in love with something that's not real, but
you think it is exactly.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
It's crazy because you can't you can't separate it.
Speaker 4 (45:11):
You're in love with a computer box. You're in love
with a computer box of wires and Mike.
Speaker 8 (45:16):
Can't separate what you're doing online with what's.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
Real, and certainly everybody can see. I'm sorry, I go
ahead and finish.
Speaker 4 (45:24):
To continue your point about RFK. They reject the RFK
approach just because he's tied to Trump. That's the only reason.
If it's tied to Trump or tied to Conservatives or
tied to Republicans, no, we have to reject that. And
that's I got to give props to conservatives right now
for jumping on ag Pam Bondy for going after quote
unquote hate speech and saying no, no, no, what the
(45:45):
approach that you are taking is actually going to infringe
on free speech. So huge props to conservatives and Republicans
for actually having values and actually following what they actually
think is right versus just following a party or propaganda.
It's just man, it it's a tough time, guys.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
Yeah, Babylon B talking about them saying hang on there,
Pam Bondy, Uh, Babylon B. Pam Bondy honors Charlie Kirk's
legacy by doing the exact opposite of Charlie Kirk. So yeah, yeah,
and you got to you got to say no, no,
this is not it's not okay even if we do it. Uh,
you can't get into that world. You don't want to
(46:25):
come a version of the what you already opposed to.
Babylon B's clever point. No, we're not going to go
out there and now deny free speech like the very
people we oppose, just because we don't like what they're saying.
That's right, we don't. We don't do that either.
Speaker 8 (46:41):
No, No, and for sure, free free speech protects you
from the government, but it doesn't protect you from your
employer who says, well, you can't go say that and
be and be employed with.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
Two different things, as we've said many times. So so
there we go. Uh, of course, I guess all of
us and we'll talk about it in range encounters. You
can see the obvious dangerous door open here. I'm listening
to something that's not real and I think it's telling
me what to do.
Speaker 6 (47:09):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Also, if you're wanting to be with Greg and Speedy
on October the fourth, that'll be at seven pm in Piedmont,
Alabama for the Venissa's Foundation Crap Run twenty twenty five.
Speedy and Greg will be there. If you'd like to
register to be part of the run, you can go
to our text option which is eight eight eighty six
(47:37):
Big Vox and just send the word events with an
s plural events and you'll get the link to register
for that and see them there. So there you go.
Some other things to discuss, and there's a lot out there,
and you can imagine there's a bunch going on involving
you know, the headlines of the day, and you know
(47:59):
the on going investigation of the latest shooting and all that.
But let's look at something that is just happening economically
that we keep hearing about and a lot of you
out there probably been waiting on this. It looks like
that the Fed is expected to cut interest rates for
the first time. There's been a lot of pressure from
(48:20):
avout Trump Trump to do this just can't quite get
the Federal Reserve to do it, but it looks like
now it may happen. So we're looking I mean like
we're talking about any day now, right, Yeah, and maybe
it may be a second cut in December, so we
don't know. But those of you out there that may
be looking for that, waiting on that, certainly I think
(48:42):
would help. It looks like it may happen sooner than letter. Yeah,
and maybe two coming up before we get to the
end of the year.
Speaker 8 (48:49):
Yeah, have some friends that we're thinking about relocating, but
they're locked in where they are now in such a
low interest rate, they're like, well, you know, we're in
the threes now, silly to relocate, you know, So so
then dropping it would help folks that are holding on
waiting to do something.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
Yeah. So so we'll see, because you're right, everybody's just
kind of like, okay, what what's going to happen here?
And standing by, let's see.
Speaker 4 (49:14):
And they're so behind, they are so behind. The stocks
are at an all time high, home prices at an
all time high, gold at all time high, money supply
at an all time high, national debt at an all
time high, and inflation at four percent, which is great.
Speaker 8 (49:29):
Yeah, that makes sense.
Speaker 4 (49:30):
Compared to get right. All of those things are reasons
to cut the interest rates yesterday, and Jerome Powell is
doing it for political reason.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Get them all, guys. I guess the term I don't
speak cow, but I guess the term would be you know,
she did it. We're congratulations. The headline says, cow escapes
slaughterhouse yep finds herself at East Valley Animal Sanctuary. I
(49:59):
thank you. I get to stay. Has she done it?
I think she has earned the right to stay at
the sanctuary. Now the problem, she's worth money? How did
you know how to get to the sactu? Well, you
know what, Greg, she did her backgrounds, she did her homework.
She was looking on the way in. So it looks
like this is in Santan Valley, Arizona.
Speaker 7 (50:18):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
And uh, this is Amy's Farm Animal Sanctuary. Right. No
one can believe that Matilda. Uh made Matilda move move? Okay,
that's good. I like that. Like that the slaughterhouse had
her ready for us to dine.
Speaker 5 (50:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Uh, and she she escaped and Amy, Uh, they're at
Amy's Farm Animal Sanctuary. Got her and let the slaughterhouse know. Hey,
you you had one to break. You had inmate it
get out and uh here is uh here's the story addlers,
I said, I need a credit him out on this one.
Speaker 4 (50:57):
Speedy sent me this.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
Who is it a b C? Yeah, it was just ab.
It was a video inside ab Arizona.
Speaker 14 (51:03):
Here we go running for her life to running straight
into the hearts of the community. We're meeting Mautilda, a
valley cow who's dash for freedom turned into a fresh start.
Speaker 15 (51:13):
That's uplifting Arizona. Giddy as a China Welcome to the sanctuary.
To show Nancy Stiff the power of community spirit.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 15 (51:28):
Just three weeks ago Matilda and she's now known.
Speaker 14 (51:33):
Where are you going?
Speaker 1 (51:34):
Captured?
Speaker 14 (51:35):
The Community's the video of the cow galloping down the
street funny On social media.
Speaker 9 (51:42):
I saw a video of an extraordinary cow, scared out
of her wits, running down the street. She had escaped
a slaughterhouse. Look, it's a brave girl.
Speaker 14 (51:50):
Amy is the founder of Amy's Farm Animal Sanctuary in
Santane Valley, a four acre property where cast out barn
animals are given a second chance.
Speaker 9 (52:00):
I take a lot that are born different, maybe missing
a limb and they need a prosthetic, or maybe they
have some kind of deformity and aren't wanted Here, their
differences are celebrated.
Speaker 15 (52:10):
I will from blind goats to hens that no longer
lay eggs. Her sanctuary is filled with stories of survival.
Speaker 9 (52:18):
When I first saw the video, I said, I can
take her here, but.
Speaker 14 (52:21):
Saving me till they came to the price dollars in
just twenty four hours to come up with it. That's
when Amy turned to her online community, keeping with them
to unite and set her free.
Speaker 9 (52:34):
Just the video alone was enough to break my heart,
and I knew got to help her.
Speaker 14 (52:37):
More than sixty donors like Nancy and Susan Lombardi quickly
open their wallets.
Speaker 16 (52:43):
Bet it was a no brainer from me when I
saw that cow escape slot or come on, I'm trying
to be free.
Speaker 10 (52:51):
I mean that cow had a.
Speaker 6 (52:53):
Will to live.
Speaker 15 (52:54):
She was given twenty four hours to raise the money
and took half that.
Speaker 9 (52:58):
I said, I have the funds. Don't you slaughder hurts tomorrow,
you bring her here today?
Speaker 14 (53:03):
The cow who once ran for her life is finally
running free. From frightened fugitive to frolicking favorite. It's clearly
good to.
Speaker 1 (53:11):
Be home, alright, So that's off to moo Tilda. Yeah, now,
strange one there. I don't know about her. Look i'd
be like Caesar, yeah right, yeah, no, you're right.
Speaker 8 (53:25):
If you escape, yeah, then I go.
Speaker 1 (53:27):
Then you're free running at a pretty good clip down
the road. Yeah, I mean gallup. I'm out of here.
Twenty five hundred bucks. So I guess it's like, if
you're gonna keep my cow, you're gonna pay me for Yeah,
as you want for that, matter of fact, come up here,
get all you want. Yeah, maybe another'd get out. Why
why is it that these we all knew what this
woman would look like in sound like before we ever
(53:48):
remainer something. When I heard Amy's Farm Animal Sanctuary, I
knew knew what she would look like. If you know
what the place would.
Speaker 8 (53:55):
Look like, would you describe her for audio only?
Speaker 1 (53:58):
I don't have to.
Speaker 13 (53:59):
Here she.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Is, and then we do what were we doing to
Greg there? I don't know. That's a donkey accent that
no one of that donkey want rick. She's anti littered
with a different hat. Yeah, she's got some weird hat on,
some weird patchy overalls, earthy personnel. Probably you know, I know,
(54:21):
probably thumping a little bit. Oh yeah, she got me.
You know it, and she may bathe every other day,
extremely dirty fingers, long hair that's rarely tended to. Uh
no makeup, lots of plants, lots of plants, lots of
flowerty drawings. Uh basically like she just got back from Woodstock. Yeah, Wednesday,
(54:47):
Bible study today and something else we do weekly. Uh
So join us live on our YouTube channel at noon
or get the archive later. So here's some some more
of the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk assassination. And we
got multiple, multiple updates, so and I'll run through them quickly,
so just to tell kind of what's going on. You know,
(55:08):
it's one of those things where you kind of thought,
I thought that we could all agree that murdering someone
as they're having a debate is frowned on by everyone,
no matter what you know, your political.
Speaker 4 (55:23):
Views, your.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Worldview, your ideology. But we're finding out not not so much,
which is strange. Joe Burrow's foundation has severed ties with
an Ohio judge over comments celebrating Charlie kirk Kirk's killing.
The Joe Burrow Foundation has severed ties with Hamilton County
Municipal Judge Ted Berry after the Ohio judge allegedly made
(55:50):
some celebratory comments on social media about the assassination of
Charlie Kirk. The Joe Burrow Foundation says, we're not going
to associate with people that would celebrate something like that,
regardless of view. So that judge just cost a lot
of people that needed the help from that foundation for
being an idiot. Also, we have a student expelled after
(56:12):
being caught on video acting out Charlie Kirk's assassination at
a Texas State vigil. Texas State University student now has
been expelled caught on video acting out the assassination. By
the way, I don't want to it's not just mocking it.
(56:33):
Cleveland fire chief removed from duty because of a Charlie
Kirk social media post and once again it just seems
like it. They said it crossed the line as being
insensitive indecent. Uh and so now this chief has been removed.
(56:53):
How this chief could not reason out that may be
weighing in on Charlie Charlie Kirk's murder cost him his job,
shows how stupid he must have been, and probably wouldn't
want him in charge of that anyway. Then we hit
a couple of things here. Christian singer Forest Frank has
lost thirty thousand followers after speaking out on the Charlie
(57:16):
Kirk assassination. He took to Instagram and he put a
video of him speaking about Charlie Kirk, speaking about him
and praising him for creating Christian music. So he was
remembering something kind that Charlie Kirk did for him. Thirty
thousand people, by the way Christian singer stopped following him.
Speaker 8 (57:38):
I said, that's that was kind of shocked Forrest Frank.
You remember we talked about him, You know he is
he is so big. Yeah, in the Christian community, especially
the younger generation. And I know River loves like good
day and up and all that.
Speaker 1 (57:56):
Keep in mind the Christian singer thirty thousand followers of
a Christian and that's.
Speaker 8 (58:00):
What I was surprised about. That's what I was surprised about.
Speaker 1 (58:02):
Well, look, there's a lot of people that that that
used that banner, and there's even a lot of churches
that exist. And if Jesus Christ himself examined, uh, the
implementation of the claim probably look more like Matthew seven. Now,
y'all say a lot of great things about me, but
only those that do the will of my father will
inherit the kingdom of Heaven. The rest of you are
(58:24):
a bunch of fakes, all right, So some other things
now in the celebrity world involving this. First of all,
let me give you this quick update. Then we'll get
into Jimmy Kimmel and and show you the other end
of it, also with Jamie Lee Curtis. But you tall man,
remember the guy that claimed to be the shooter and
now allegend his.
Speaker 8 (58:45):
Pants down and he was on his knees and.
Speaker 1 (58:49):
Pants like, I know my rights, I know my rights.
Speaker 4 (58:51):
He said he did it, he said he.
Speaker 1 (58:53):
Did he said, he said he did it allegedly looking
at the text thing that's out there now, allegedly you know,
and that he actually said the reason he did it
was so the shooter, the true shooter, could get away.
He'd draw the attention to him, right, and which is
now this is an older man. Now, now we've looked
(59:14):
into this man's life and we realize that he has
been hit with a child porn charge. He's found upstanding.
So that might that might explain his docking, That might
explain his darkness a little more. So, Now let's get
to the celebrities. They don't know what to do. Jimmy Kimmel, which, no,
none of us know how he still has a job
(59:34):
after all the mistakes he's made. Jimmy Kimmel, remember he
wept over a lion that was that was killed in
the Safari Yes, he does not. He does not weep
over Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 10 (59:47):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
So now Jimmy Kimmel, uh is going to claim in
his monologue that the shooter was actually part of the
Maga Gang. No matter how much these sticks we just
watch would say otherwise, Jimmy Kimmel knows different. So here
he is.
Speaker 17 (01:00:06):
We hit some new lows over the weekend with the
Maga Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered
Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and
everything they can to score political points from. And in
between the finger pointing there was grieving on Friday the
White House.
Speaker 4 (01:00:22):
There you go, he went on to make fun of Trump,
saying this is how a this is how a four
year old mourns a goldfish, the way that Trump was
mourning Charlie Kirk. It's so sad, and what does he'd
think he's doing? Scoring political points. You're using this death
to score political points right now, But what are you
talking about? And the kid who murdered Charlie Kirk that
(01:00:44):
we the MAGA movement is trying to paint him as
anything other than one of them. It's just he's he's
a liar, he's a he's a liar.
Speaker 8 (01:00:56):
He's not a real good person.
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
No, well in piece wheezy, y'all remember rest in peace, wheezy.
That line that he has said for people that didn't
want to take the experimental vaccine.
Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
Yeah, he told all of us that actually had enough
sense not to go out and let somebody take some
experimental and just shoot it into our veins. He said
that we were all stupid and deserved to die if
we died of COVID. You got to give both sides. Though,
he really was upset when Caeesel of the line, when
he really was, to his credit, he mourned. He mourned, says,
(01:01:26):
now people know but seys of the line. Yes, yes,
crid Cride talking about it. Don't forget that. Don't forget
how crazy irresponsible he is using his platform to say
something that by all accounts just isn't true. No, the
guy himself is in his own words, if these texts
turn out to be legit and they released them to
(01:01:47):
people investigating it, that this was on his phone, he says,
completely the opposite Jimbo, And maybe Jimmy got out there
and ran his mouth, for he's seen these texts. But
we shall see. Then there's Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee
Curtis does not agree with Charlie Kirk. Jamie Lee Curtis doesn't.
(01:02:08):
She says, really probably line up with him on anything,
but she's got enough decency to know that this was
wicked and evil and should not have happened. And his
mourning Charlie Kirk's death out of just being a decent
human being who we probably would disagree with on most everything,
but when it comes to humanity, she has enough sense
(01:02:30):
to know that this was tragic. So here she is.
Speaker 16 (01:02:33):
Charlie crist was killed two days ago. Charlie, I'm sorry, Kirk.
I just called him Christ. I think because of Christ,
of because of his deep, deep belief. I mean, I
disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard
(01:02:54):
him say.
Speaker 10 (01:02:54):
Yeah, but I believe he was a man of faith
and hope. In that moment when he died, that he
felt connected to his faith, even though I find what
he his ideas were abhorrent to me. Yeah, I still
believe he's a father and a husband and a man
(01:03:15):
of faith, and I hope whatever connection to God means
that he felt it yesterday was nine to eleven.
Speaker 1 (01:03:25):
Yeah, and she goes on, but yeah, so why can't
Jimmy kim Will do that? Yeah, she made it clear,
she made it clear she didn't agree with him almost everything.
But she's still heartbroken and respected his commitment to his faith.
What's wrong? What's wrong with that?
Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
Like a normal person with a shred of humanity?
Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
Right, that's just being a like you said, Adler, a
decent human being.
Speaker 10 (01:03:45):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
And if you can't do that, then you got to
you gotta look in the mirror. And and I'm afraid
that if you looked in the mirror, you would see
this Catholic school shooter. Remember the picture he drew where
it's him looking in the mirror and in the reflection
was a demon. Did you see that when when they
found all the stuff he had and the demon is
(01:04:07):
telling him kill and then kill yourself, and he's going
back and front that that it was so out of
the demonic just I mean everything about that and these
other things. I mean that that guy was telling you
that he that he was, he was possessed of a demon.
He was everything he put the things he wrote on
his weapons were telling you that where is God? You
(01:04:29):
know that going after the children, I'm being tormented. I
don't want to do this, but I'm going to do it.
And and then that picture of him looking in that
reflection and the demon looking back at him, that's what
he saw in the in the mirror. You know, maybe
Jimmy needs to examine how someone who probably shares most
of his views can be humane but you can't. That's
(01:04:54):
probably something to examine. Uh. We'll be back, UH, and
we thank you for uh for being with us today.
We have more to cover. So that's kind of your
update on like the aftermath that continues and people who
are losing jobs, getting losing followers, h and paying a
(01:05:16):
price for just not knowing how to basically act as
a human person is look up Megan Farina f A
r I n A. Apparently they're saying she destroyed her
husband's business by making public remarks about Charlie Kirk, you know,
(01:05:38):
and uh, but there is an update on that story.
He his wife has actually convinced him that was actually
his fault, so so that that turned it around, turned
it around there, he's her husband. It was got so
bad her husband eventually apologized. So business. Now, have you
(01:05:59):
ever find yourself apologizing and a disagreement in your marriage
and you're like, I don't know how I ended up
being the person apologizing? This happen and what it is?
We've talked about this so many times. Okay, when when
you're in this wonderful world of marriage and this man
and woman, you know, staying with God's standard, not getting
(01:06:20):
into the weirdness that we don't know what we are.
I mean, we we are men and we're women, and
we know this equal of value but beautifully distinct and
what it is is And I want to tell young
men this, you know, and and don't you don't just
you know, you don't cower, You're not you don't need
to lose your your your masculinity and don't let a
(01:06:42):
woman emasculate you or anything like that. That's not what
I'm talking about. But I will tell you this, if
you think there's any chance that if there's an argument
in the house that you can outlast them on waiting
on an apology, you can out last them on the
silent treatments. You have no chance. No their their their ability.
(01:07:05):
I'm talking about picture. You know how when you look
up and there's like a big marathon coming up and
you see an Ethiopian or a Kenyon, and you're like,
nobody can run further than them. You know, nobody can
run further nobody. No, It's like they are the Kenyon
of silent treatment. You know what I mean. I mean
you can't. There's they'll go days. I mean they'll I'll
(01:07:27):
be thinking how much longer can can this? Yeah? I
mean forgot what. I don't even have kids here anymore.
I'm the only person. There's no way. I don't know
if that makes it easier for them, are more difficult.
It seems like I think when the kids were all
at home, I think I had a better shot because
eventually they need some help with a kid or so,
you know, so they almost have to address you. And
(01:07:50):
and and then if you if you ever had that
that cold thing when the kids were home, where you
got you got cold by by your wife or by mom.
And now the kids have. They keep asking you why.
They're starting to figure that mom seems like she's upset
with you because they don't hide it. Oh really, I
mean they got they got no game. How about this
raise your hand? Is the minute your wife walks in
the room, you know she's mad about something?
Speaker 10 (01:08:11):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
I mean yeah, I mean they can't. They can't get
off the face, the poker face. Yeah sure. What about
when you're leaving something where you're interacting either with family
or you're interacting with other people, and you're in the
car on the ride home and you know something's up
and they won't address it. They won't bring it up,
so you have to start. Now you Now you turn
into Sherlock Holmes and you do the stupid stuff like
(01:08:34):
I thought that went well? How about you?
Speaker 4 (01:08:36):
You know that was fun, wasn't it fun?
Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
And then you get them how about a blizzard? If
you get up, if you get up as opposed to
some sort of monologue, right there, you got problems and
you're not gonna win to just jump into it. Yeah,
you just get it out of there. I actually apologized before,
and I never knew what I apologize for.
Speaker 4 (01:08:55):
You guys, ever, like really surprised like, you know, she's
upset about something, but you can't figure it out. And
then once you finally figure it out, you're like that, wait,
that is.
Speaker 17 (01:09:04):
The thing that is.
Speaker 4 (01:09:07):
Yesterday or whatever. And I've been surprised so many times
and be like, Okay, well we could talk about this,
and I'm sorry that upset you, but I am blown
away that you're still upset about that thing. I had
no idea.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
What about through the detective work you speak of, you
finally discovered that it's not you. There's no way you
could be blamed for it. You ever, pol I agree
with you. Yeah, you know what. You don't want to go? Ever,
go have them over again. That's fine with me. I
(01:09:39):
know they've always had a better attitude to me. You're
thankful it's not you. Oh yeah, because you do it,
especially if you think there's no way you can be
blamed for it. You better check that out first, you know,
because because you if you if you jump in too quick,
well you know it would have been fine. You know
you said that one. Now I'm I messed. I jumped
in her too quick.
Speaker 9 (01:09:59):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:09:59):
And then always take careful. Now, this is something you
also need to learn. If they're upset with their own family,
leave it alone. Yeah, don't don't tell me not join in,
leave it alone.
Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
And just say something like that's hard.
Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
That's hard, Yeah, because you'll come home and all of
a sudden they've made up with their family and they
won't ever forget what you said when you chimed. Yeah,
I know, so you've always been bothered by that. I'm sorry.
I thought we were upset with them, you know. Yeah,
pretty much. If they're upset with their own family, let
it ride, do not join in. Well, if that's how
you feel, yeah, I'm so sorry. We'll we'll we'll continue
(01:10:32):
to interact and we'll go to that if you want
to totally your call, I'm good with going. Well, I'll
tell you one thing I won't go to that. Okay,
Well that's your call. Do not jump in if you
if you jump in, it will come back home.
Speaker 7 (01:10:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Yeah, it's just like it's just like if you ever
you're not like you learn with dealing with other couples.
You know, you only young people make the mistake of
picking sides. You know, if you got two people that
are to arguing with you, to do, do not pick sides?
You know, you you say something negative about somebody's spouse
to them why they're mad at them, and then it
all they all make up. They'll come back and say
you don't you ever, I can't believe you said that
(01:11:08):
about my whatever you said that about my wife? Sorry
you said you said that that bothered you, that she
doesn't bothers me too. I agree with you. Oh really
you got a problem my wife? Way you did, right.
I was just saying, yeah, you probably need to talk
to her about that. She probably doesn't need to do that.
Oh so you think you you you don't want my wife? No, no,
(01:11:29):
I thought you didn't like it, said don't don't just
be careful, watch watch out with all that, but at
the end of the day, the original comment, no matter
how bad it is, no matter how how bad is
a husband, you think you have the upper hand, and uh,
and an argument that you're completely right and they're completely wrong.
I wouldn't die on that hill.
Speaker 8 (01:11:50):
No, Sunday morning. Sunday morning, I kind of got in
trouble and it was a compliment. But you know, sometimes
your wife would go off in the in the bathroom
getting ready and they come out an hour later and
you're like, what was going on in there, you know.
And so she had done that and she came out
and I was like, what have you been doing any there?
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
You don't look any different?
Speaker 6 (01:12:06):
Oh, but I meant it from just getting out of
the bed now.
Speaker 8 (01:12:11):
And I meant and I meant that as a compliment,
like you don't even I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:12:15):
You're beautiful. You didn't even need that, That's what I mean.
Speaker 8 (01:12:19):
So quickly I saw the reaction. I quickly, it was
quick thinking on my feet. I was like, you know
what I'm saying is you looked fine before you went
in there. I mean, you don't even need makeup, honey,
That's what I mean. That's what I was trying to
come up. Boy, she didn't do what? Oh hey, thanks.
I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, I said, no.
Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
I mean I could have driven to the beach and
back and you're still you shouldn't added that I did.
That was kind of me.
Speaker 8 (01:12:44):
That's what it was supposed to be a compliment, like
you don't need that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:47):
Yeah, but it don't come out that way.
Speaker 5 (01:12:49):
No, No, she.
Speaker 1 (01:12:52):
Moved back out of that. I'm always known you found
that way. What are you talking about? You said something
back in ninety six and I'm like, oh what, top
of the hour. Thanks for being with us. So much
has happened on today's show. If you missed any of it,
(01:13:16):

while back. He has returned to the Big Boy Mike,
former US Navy seal, entrepreneur and of course instructor, author, speaker.
I had him speak at our last Man church at
our church. You did outstanding brother and founder and CEO
of Covenant Rescue Group and it's currently running for US
(01:13:59):
Senate in Alabama. Uh to take Tommy Turprable spot that
he's uh uh gonna run for governor now. So Jared,
welcome back.
Speaker 9 (01:14:07):
Are you?
Speaker 11 (01:14:07):
Thanks for having me?
Speaker 5 (01:14:08):
Bro?
Speaker 11 (01:14:08):
I'm doing pretty good man. How are you all doing well?
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
Hey?
Speaker 13 (01:14:11):
I just want to start off with y'all talking about
you know, all the issues, the wives and everything. I'm
gonna tell you my wife is great. I love her,
She's beautiful. I don't never have any of these issues.
Speaker 11 (01:14:20):
She's always right, never late.
Speaker 1 (01:14:24):
Nice, nice. So you don't want to get clumped intumped
in with y'all. We were talking about all this.
Speaker 11 (01:14:29):
I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (01:14:30):
We were we were speaking family is great.
Speaker 11 (01:14:32):
I love her family, wonderful people.
Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
They're way better than my family. We uh, we were
just giving instruction to people who might be in that situe.
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. So uh well, Jared, I wish
you had a few things going on, can you. I
do want to say thank you for being coming to
speak to the men where I go to church. That
(01:14:59):
was a powerful day and we got some stuff we're
going to do together coming up in twenty twenty six
to Lord Will and we'll tell me more about that.
I tell one thing I do want to focus on.
You probably are aware if I told you this. I
don't know, but you might be aware of it that
we started a new podcast at the beginning of the
year called Strange Encounters, and it's about spiritual warfare and
(01:15:20):
dealing with demons and also, you know, things involving angels
and the true supernatural and a lot and the timing.
You know, God's timing is always perfect. We really had
no idea. I mean, we knew the world was getting darker,
but when we started the podcast, I don't think Adam,
I'm not trying to speak for you, I don't think
(01:15:41):
we really had any idea how much activity would begin
to go on in society that's clearly demonic. And you
with Covenant Rescue, we did one of the episodes we
were talking about that. You know, when you're dealing with
demonic activity in the darkness, one of the markers in
(01:16:03):
there there, they're more than one, but one of the
things you seem to always find is sexual deviancy, uh,
depravity in the sexual realm. And of course you firsthand
in your ministry dealing with sex trafficking. You you have
seen that with the front row seat sadly.
Speaker 13 (01:16:21):
Oh yeah, no, I mean And and it's funny you say,
you know, to talking about the spiritual warfare aspect, and
I know y'allre talking about it earlier. I was talking
about on them JT Show earlier. Let's just go last week,
Charlie Kirkshot, what was he shot?
Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
Over.
Speaker 11 (01:16:34):
It starts with that sexual deviancy.
Speaker 13 (01:16:36):
We see the transgender issues, we see the even sex
before marriage issues. I mean, all these things that Charlie
spoke against that people disliked right now, even before that,
you go and you see some of the transgender people
shooting up schools, right, and in particular going after a
Catholic school, right, Christians and even in Nashville, you know,
(01:16:58):
not too long ago. As you go down the list,
that level of depravity is almost like it. And I'm
not saying I don't ever want to speak for God,
but he says that he gives them over to that
debase mindset, and there's at some point in time where
that tie to reality is cut. You got the Fureze thing,
(01:17:19):
the transgender thing, you got the all of these crazy
things that are going on. One of the things I've
seen with the human traffiing child side, in particular child exploitation,
is the porn addiction.
Speaker 11 (01:17:30):
From where it started.
Speaker 13 (01:17:31):
When we interview any of these guys showing up to
buy a little girl or a little boy, when we
interview any of these women who are selling other women,
there is an aspect of pornography in particular in the
male psyche that is just gone too far, like it's
gone like not that it's not far. It opened the
(01:17:53):
door to where okay, now a woman's not good enough.
Now I've got to and to the point where they
actively show up to purchase a child. The other side
of it is also drugs, right, and I mean pharmaciel
like the sen of witchcraft, right, or you know, the
sin of witchcrafts also like the sin of rebellion, rebellion
against God. So you see that demonic flow out of drugs,
(01:18:15):
and I would even say alcohol as well. They call
it spirits for a reason. All of that is a
gateway into something and we always see that stuff tied
to it. But definitely the sexual deviancy, probably more so
with the pornography industry and our technology like our phones
and what we have here, it's just so readily available
(01:18:35):
at the fingertips of people, and that's you know, I
think that's why we see it.
Speaker 1 (01:18:39):
Do you agree with this? And if you look at
all the evil paganisms of the world that they've ever had,
all this pagan worship, there's always a sexual depravity element
to sex. Slaves for the temple orgies, all these you know,
taking children and unfortunately sexually abusing them. You know, even
(01:19:00):
Nero had some little young boy that they did that
he kept around.
Speaker 11 (01:19:04):
That boy committed suicide, by the way, correct.
Speaker 1 (01:19:06):
Yeah, and so and now we found out the guy
that it won't surprise you because this is what you
do with your ministry. But they've now the guy who
was trying to divert everybody away from the actual shooter,
the older fellow that they thought, they said it was
a shooter and then he wasn't. Now there's been a
child porn charge against him.
Speaker 11 (01:19:26):
Oh wow, I didn't know that, but no, it's not surprised.
Speaker 1 (01:19:28):
Yeah, that was in the headlines today, but that didn't
surprise you. And I think the important thing we did
a whole episode on this and Strange Encounters, is talking
about how that porn it's a portal, it opens a
door because think what it starts with, and we tried
to make this clear, it starts with someone being deemed
(01:19:51):
almost not human. These people are here for pleasure. They're faceless,
they're they're they're not treating any respect. There's no love
in this. This is just and so these women, as
you know, have been in horrible situations. These men are
wicked and evil that participate in that. And all of
(01:20:13):
this starts with human beings being devalued.
Speaker 13 (01:20:16):
It's the antithesis of what Jesus taught. Love the Lord, God,
God while your heart' so minus trant. Something is more
important than me. Now we believe that's God in the
person of Jesus Christ. But something is over me. And
love your neighbor as yourself. It doesn't say elevate your
neighbor over yourself, but love them the same way you
love yourself.
Speaker 11 (01:20:33):
And like you just said, when.
Speaker 13 (01:20:35):
You're in the porn industry, and when you're looking at porn,
you are devaluing somebody else, somebody else's daughter, sister, husband, white,
whatever it is, you're devaluing another human being, you're not
elevating them at least on par with you, and you're
doing it for self pleasure. It is it is satan,
one oh one. That's the problem. So it's spiritual warfare.
(01:20:58):
I hate to say spiritual warfare at its finest, but
that's exactly what it is.
Speaker 11 (01:21:02):
I mean it is.
Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
It is spiritual at its most clear and it's clearest.
That would be a better way.
Speaker 13 (01:21:08):
It's spiritual warfare at it's clearest when you when you
start seeing any of this stuff go on. And again
you just mentioned that about the guy who was you know,
at the Charlie kirkshoot. All of these things are tied
together because as Ephesians chapter six says, we don't fight
against flesh and blood, but we fight against principalities darkness
(01:21:30):
and and and and the spiritual forces in high places.
Speaker 11 (01:21:33):
And that's I think that's important to note. It is
as Christians and conservatives.
Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
So we'll come back and uh, there's been some you've
been involved in bringing some of these monsters in. Yeah,
and uh, there's been a number of is a word
you would use when you is it? Is it a
bus like a drug bus when you rest. So we'll
talk about that. And it's hard to hear these things
(01:21:58):
go on, but at least, yeah, there's people like Covenant
Rescue that are trying to rescue people. We'll be right back,
all right, so now join us for that. We continue
to look at Joke today. So Jared Hudson, we're gonna
wrap up our time with him, but I want to
I want to get you all the information to help
(01:22:21):
Covenant Rescue. You've got an opportunity coming up, but before
we do, so, let's finish that thought. You told us
the you know, the the person that usually is the client.
You've told us that pornography is, you know, a gateway
to things continuing to be depraved. Usually you have someone
(01:22:41):
that the child thought they could trust that betrayed them.
But there's also we've mentioned this before to single moms,
be so very careful. No one's saying you can never
the rest of your life, you know, have a husband.
I mean, of course not, but really vet out anybody
(01:23:01):
that if you have that you're bringing into your life
to start dating, because so many times you've seen it.
This man will you know, he'll pursue this woman, he'll
sweep talk her and and and manipulate her and get
into her life, get access to her children, and then
he's coming in there to take those children into that world.
(01:23:25):
And that's a sad. With all the things that single
moms have to deal with. I hate to put this
on you too, but you got it.
Speaker 11 (01:23:31):
Just another thing they've got to deal with. You're exactly right.
Speaker 13 (01:23:33):
And I would say there's this twofold because you mentioned
it before we went on break and I didn't talk
about it. You know if I always say be a threat,
I think I said on the last show, if you're
a dad, if you're a man, be a threat. Be
a deterrent for anybody who had come after your kids.
It doesn't mean I'm going out there beating everybody up.
You know, That's not what I'm talking about. I'm saying,
be a deterrent for those who would target your children.
(01:23:55):
So for dads who are you know, say you've got
couples that are married, but dads are uninvolved. Right, I'm
in my phone, I'm on football on Saturdays or whatever
it is. Be present, Be involved in your kid's life
so that when somebody looks over there, they're like, oh, yeah,
i A'm gonna mess with those kids because that guy
is involved. He's gonna know something's going on. That kid
is gonna tell them something. If you're a single mother,
(01:24:17):
that is even even harder. You have to be very
careful who you bring into your lives because most of
the time these persons of trust are people of trust,
especially in a single mom's life or even a single
parent's life. They bring somebody in and that person that
comes in then abuses those children in that way, and
that's what we saw in bib County. It was a
mom who had kids, or one of them was a mom,
(01:24:40):
and it was her boyfriend and his buddies that were doing.
Speaker 1 (01:24:42):
All of that, right, and the sayings that when I mean,
I know, I don't think you ever become numb to it,
but you're gifted to deal with it and not be
traumatized by it. But the things that the more like
this when y'all somebody around the country may not be
aware of it, but the more every time more information
would be revealed to the public about what these people
(01:25:02):
were doing. You cannot believe you live in a world
where this goes on. You really can't. I mean, it's
the depravity, like you can't even imagine. I won't get
into details, but it's just you can't believe that human
beings can be that evil.
Speaker 13 (01:25:18):
Well, and and it's it's funny you say that, because
that's my bast of mind. Oh it's one hundred percent demonic.
And but we literally took we as people. It was
my depravity and my sin that took the Lord and
savior of this world and hung him on across right, right.
Speaker 11 (01:25:36):
It wasn't the Romans, it wasn't the Jewish people.
Speaker 1 (01:25:38):
It was it was me right right.
Speaker 13 (01:25:40):
That's so, that's the first thing we have to remember
is we are all capable of unbelievable, unbelievable depravity, depravity
if it wasn't for the grace of Jesus Christ on
the other side of it, Without the grace of Jesus Christ,
this is what the world becomes. And that's that's the
hard thing to rectify. There is no good answer outside
(01:26:01):
of the person of Christ. With that being said, we
do have a system in place that I believe was
built on Christian principles that allow us to move forward
and successfully arrest and prosecute individuals that are doing these
heinous things against the community.
Speaker 11 (01:26:18):
Uh and and and society as a whole, in particular. Children.
Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
You and I had a conversation because you are going
to run for Senate and when you I appreciate you
calling me and and even caring what I would have
to say, But I told you it's a no. If
you don't think this can help you do what you're
doing better, if you can make a difference, and this
could help you make a bigger difference.
Speaker 6 (01:26:41):
It's yes.
Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
If you don't, then know and you and your wife
talked and prayed about it, and and you believe if
you were the people of Alabama, you know, did say you,
we'd love for you to be our next senator. That
you can actually now even do more for many things.
But also it is because you'll now be in an
influential position in the government.
Speaker 13 (01:27:04):
No. Yeah, So the position of senator US centator. Long
story short, it's a force multiplier. Force multiplier and the
seal teams of a machine gun. I can turn one
seal into four seals if I give them a belt
fed machine gun. Right now, the position itself is neutral.
It can either be for good or for bad. And
for far too long, I think we've seen these career politicians.
They climb a ladder. It's for their own political gain,
(01:27:24):
it's their own resume, it's to just continue down that
political road. And that's why we're in a society, in
a world that we're seeing that feels like it's falling
apart at the seams.
Speaker 11 (01:27:34):
And when the opportunity came available, not just for what
I do with human.
Speaker 13 (01:27:38):
Trafficking, but with military, with law enforcement, with understanding the
geopolitical aspects, because I've actually been overseas in fault war
on behalf of this country business having an NBA in
a small business, seeing the different issues that are created
by the government when they have all this red tape
and they put their finger on businesses that are trying
to make life better for people, I was like.
Speaker 11 (01:27:58):
What kind of man am I?
Speaker 13 (01:27:59):
If I have the oportunity to do this and I
don't at least try so. I would say for us Center,
especially with human trafficking, it positively impacts all of these
little arenas, but it's a force multiplier because it goes
even beyond what I'm normally working on. So that's ultimately
what made to help me make the decision. And for
me and for y'all, I mean everybody, anybody who's wise
(01:28:21):
plants trees, no one, they'll never sit in the shade
right right, I'm hopefully making sure that we maintain this
great country, this great state, for my kids, for y'all's kids,
for our grandkids one day, so that they actually are
able to partake in the same country that I was
able to partake in, as opposed to living in a
you know, a whirlwind of chaos and evil and vitriol
(01:28:44):
and all the stuff we see going on right now.
Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
Wow, So a couple of opportunities now, call to action
out there. If you want to help Covenant Rescue dot org.
That's where you go, Covenant Rescue dot org. We actually
have golfers out there. Hold on, now, we've got the
third annual, you know, a Covenant Rescue golf tournament. It's
going to be coming up in our hometown where we
(01:29:05):
actually broadcast from them on the Celebrity program. That's right,
Graystone country Club of course, golfing country Club. That's coming
up on November tenth, November the tenth. That's a four
man scramble, of course I know what that is. Yeah,
and there's gonna be some great door prizes, lunch and
dinner provided as well. So there's sponsor information available too.
But if you just want to play and get your
(01:29:27):
bunch together, go to Covenant Rescue dot org. Covenant Rescue
dot org. And if you're interested in this run for
Senate that Jared certainly believes that this is what he's
supposed to do, go to Hudson for Alabama dot com
to find out information about that. So, Hudson for Alabama,
do we have two seconds?
Speaker 13 (01:29:47):
I want to address this, guy says Why is it
larish to me that he said drink you're on pea
on the radio. Do you want to hear the story
behind that. You can look up these predator hunters, okay,
and some guy was showing up for a twelve or
thirteen year old girl and they meet him at Walmart,
they beat him up, they drag him somewhere and they
make him pee in a bottle and made him drink it. Right,
And this thing was going around everywhere and a lot
(01:30:09):
of people will say it Covenant rescue, that's what we do. Now,
that's funny to watch whatever, until you find out that
a lot of these individuals that they're chatting in in
that way, these are young men who have a they're
mentally disabled, right, so they have autism or something like that.
So that's why it's so important that we don't seek
vigilanti vigilanty justice.
Speaker 11 (01:30:29):
Is not justice. It's just you might agree with it,
but it's not justice.
Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
Right.
Speaker 11 (01:30:33):
It's cool for the movies, but not in reality.
Speaker 13 (01:30:36):
We seek real justice, which is working with the local
law enforcement, the state, the federal law enforcement officials.
Speaker 11 (01:30:43):
That are going to go out and have the authority.
Speaker 13 (01:30:45):
We don't bear the sword in vein for the Christian principle,
right Romans, we don't bear the sword in vein. They
go out and they act on behalf of the community
to make sure that we successfully arrest these individuals. There's
no mental issue because we still have to deal with it,
but we deal with it differently and then there's a
successful prosecution in the end, so this doesn't continue to happen.
(01:31:05):
That's why it's in important and understand the difference between
the ten and.
Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
Then another person was on the text line. True. We
see it in men's ministry unfortunately everywhere, and I think
since we've made it so clear on strange encounters today
again with Jared and just in life, that porn can
be that gateway into all sorts of sexual depravity and
demon oppression and possession. Get help, and if you're having
(01:31:30):
a problem with it, get help. And there are some
great ministries out there that there's people that said, hey,
I thought it had there's nothing that you're struggling with
in your life that is stronger than the power of
the Holy Spirit, the power of Christ to overcome it.
And here's someone saying, look, there's people out there that
can help. There's counselors that are helping people that have
(01:31:52):
freed them from this. So don't fight this battle on
your own. Get some help.
Speaker 11 (01:31:56):
And you're not the only one dealing with it. Oh sorry,
I cut mon, No, not at all.
Speaker 4 (01:32:00):
Well, and once you view it through the lens of
the Holy Spirit, you really see it for what it is.
It is a pagan demonic ritual of human sacrifice. You
are watching a human sacrifice occur. And I know, people,
there's all these sites where you can pay for it,
but a lot of it's just free available free online,
(01:32:21):
and you think, what's the harm whatever, But it's free
because the price is your soul. You have to realize that.
Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
Guys.
Speaker 13 (01:32:29):
You have to see that that's good and it's and
you know what it's. You're not the only one going
through this. Ecclesiastes chapter one.
Speaker 11 (01:32:35):
I believe it's verse eight.
Speaker 13 (01:32:36):
It might be verse seven, but somebody can google it
and find out if I'm wrong. But in Ecclesiastes it
does say there's nothing new under the sun. It's the
same problems, just different people. Right, there's nothing new in
our generation. You're not the only one dealing with it.
Reach out, definitely get help because because like Adler just said,
you are paying for it with your soul.
Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
That's good man, Jared, thanks for being with us. But
good Covenant Rescue dot org and you find out about
the golf tournament there if you want to help out
coming up in November. If you're interested in his race
for Senate Hudson for Alabama. Dot com is the website
for that. We'll come back, we'll wrap up this hour.
We'll try to get in some of your phone calls,
(01:33:16):
some of your emails, and look at any stories that
we might have missed when The Rick Birder Show continues
right up to this to run that. Uh, we just
opened up every line. If you move now you can
get through.
Speaker 7 (01:33:36):
UH.
Speaker 1 (01:33:36):
But now you better and then when you hear it
ringing that that means that you are are there, ready
to go, and we'll get you, get you in. Uh.
One of the things I did see today that I
did not get through get to quickly. And I'm coming
to you. Phone's hanging there. You remember when everybody started
jumping up and down that cannabis was the answer to
(01:33:56):
all the world's problems. Where we're starting to get some
bad reports on Canads. It says Gateway. Uh, diabetes risk
quadruples with the use of popular natural natural remedy.
Speaker 10 (01:34:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:34:13):
If you consume cannabis, you're nearly four times more likely
to develop type two diabetes. So when you go more
likely to develop type two diabetes, could it be cannabis? Yes, so, uh,
apparently cannabis. You gotta be careful with that as well.
How about making ropes so good? It's still good for
(01:34:34):
making ropes, they said, But if you bite the ropes,
it'll taste like candy. Yeah, and you will go up.
It takes the rope. Unfortunately, Greg, the rope didn't taste
like a twizzler does. By the way, I can't stand twizzlers.
Speaker 9 (01:34:49):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
I'm not mad at him. I I'm angry with them. Really. Yeah,
I don't like the red is fine?
Speaker 4 (01:34:57):
Black is Uh, I can't black liquor.
Speaker 1 (01:35:00):
She's like you about you about cough medicine. Yes, I
think he was a kid when I had one. See
the phones, we go, Hello, you're on unscreened phone calls.
Go ahead, you talked to the wild church. Okay, buddy,
I mean horrible. Let me tell you we can break
that great glue. Let's go back and look at the replay. No, No,
(01:35:20):
he's out of bad had control. I've never seen anybody
where they dropped the gate. It was like a horse
that just didn't run. Uh. We continue Ricker's show unscreen
phone calls, go ahead, phone calls Morner Rick Hey, buddy,
just one on.
Speaker 12 (01:35:36):
Didn't want to say, I appreciate the show. Want to
holler at all my uh tuber chat people and give
him a good old wood this morning. Okay, wild Bill
along with several in the chat, we're discussing about chilis
today with beans or without beans.
Speaker 1 (01:35:54):
Without I can get through it with beans, but I
prefer with that. I'll take it either way. I could
either way, but it's not a dereaker with a lot
of beans. You can in Texas in that fighting word.
Speaker 4 (01:36:07):
It's all you put beans in chili and Texas. But
you can go overboard. Now you're eating just beans, and
I'm like, Okay, I don't want that.
Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
Don't skimp on the meat. I don't like people to
skimp on the meat.
Speaker 8 (01:36:16):
No, I want to be heavy then I do without.
Speaker 4 (01:36:18):
Beans, heavy meat, and don't break up your ground beef
all the way. Let it leave ithy little things and
you get like little meatball bites, yes, like.
Speaker 1 (01:36:27):
Me beans about the little my mama's a little man.
Speaker 8 (01:36:30):
I know I'll eat it, but if I had to pick,
I would go with it.
Speaker 4 (01:36:34):
With the beans in general, like line of beans.
Speaker 1 (01:36:36):
Beans, I'm crazy about it, my tail beans. You got
a little You've got a little resistance to be.
Speaker 8 (01:36:44):
Yeah, I mean if i'm if I'm in a buffet,
I might skip it.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
You don't like bes, You like beans, I don't love them.
I'm around you a lot, and it seems like you
like being musical musical musical fruit. I don't, uh and
you and you probably have a strong heart. When I
was good, but when I was a kid, I never rate. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (01:37:06):
How about the chili with the clumps and tomatoes in it?
Speaker 1 (01:37:08):
And don't like the old bird putting in big clumps
in that work? I work around to small. How about
chili with stew meat in it? About rice?
Speaker 5 (01:37:20):
Here?
Speaker 4 (01:37:20):
I throw rice in it a little tiny, a little
bit at the end, I'm dumbo.
Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
I don't like rice in it. Cheese yeah, cheese yes,
Oyster cracker or some oysters fris and oyster combo. That
makes a big old mush us good and that results
in the mouth hate green pepper.
Speaker 11 (01:37:41):
That no, thank you a little bit?
Speaker 4 (01:37:44):
No tiny bit cream? What about soth cream?
Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
Yes, get a little little dab rick birder.
Speaker 5 (01:37:50):
Sure, go ahead and do you Hey, you guys know
how to catch a bird with them, I'll shoot him.
Speaker 1 (01:37:57):
That's so good, that's good. Rick Burgers Show on screen
phone calls, Kim Rick Burgers Show, unscreen phone calls.
Speaker 5 (01:38:11):
Go, So, yesterday was my birthday and this weekend I
got it. Thank you. I got a gift from somebody
