(02:37):
lest First, let's check on the state of Tube City.
I know that you have worked tirelessly this weekend transitioning
from the old, dying slowly equipment to the new equipment.
Where are we today, sir?

Speaker 4 (02:52):
We're looking good. I think the big changeover will be
finally today.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Uh huh.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
I'm kind of leaving everything up up that I possibly
can while setting up everything new that I possibly can,
so as to kind of keep them like two pillars.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Yeah of broadcasting, Yes, good deal.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
A lot of people think that's my arms, my bicel
it is, but it's not.

Speaker 6 (03:16):
It's just two computers going.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
But things are looking good. A lot of progress and
uh I love I love new tech. Once once it's
set up, boy, it's nice, but there are so many
things I have to like think of, like all right,
did I check that? Did I bring that over from
this computer to that one? You know, there's just so
many things.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, but it's good.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
It's a lot of progress this weekend.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
So I cautiously went in there, almost like I was
walking into some sort of horror scene. And I just
leaned my head in and I looked and they speedy
and graver watch me. And I'm like, yeah, it looks
like a rough weekend in here. H And but the
new equipment looks super cool though. Yeah, good, yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
When I walked in, I went, oh, smart, he's gonna
have me.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
He's gonna have them both going kind of but before
you know, one's really right, it's ready to switch over permanently.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
I guess, yes, yes, but it's good on progress and
we're looking good, looking good.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I looked at mister Chen, I said, how did it
go over the weekend?

Speaker 4 (04:12):
He said, you'll not won't know, he said, he said,
Alistair need to work on Cussie.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I not like it.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Languy soon clean camp, don't ask me. I can't see.
All I see is green. So uh, that's that's there's
the goods. Goods.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Yeah, people are watching on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
And then you were telling me the Bible study last
week that we we do have it on the list
of the videos. Uh, right, What were you telling me
about that?

Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yeah, yeah, So we we were having these tech problems
last week and the main day was Wednesday, and so
I just I just took the picture that I make
for the Bible Study every week that kind of goes
out on social media. I just put that as the video,
so you don't actually see Rick talking. But at least

(05:08):
that Bible Study is on YouTube and in the playlist now,
So if you're used to going through the Men's or
it's not Men's.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Bible Study anymore, it's just Bible Study.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
If you're used to going through that playlist for the
Bible Study, at least it's there and in order, and
you can at least.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
At least catch it there.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
You won't see it, but you'll hear it at the
same place. Just if that's your normal place to get it.
Now you know where it is, yes, sir, and and
a lot of people we got it and they found
it on the on the podcast over the weekend too,
so we have that. We'll get an update from Greg.
Big family gathering. Yeah, well yeah, Greg and I watch
a little football together on Friday night. Joey does updates.
That was fun. I got to hang out with mom

(05:46):
a little bit. Uh, and then over the weekend we'll
update you on the weekend stories. All from what we
have gathered from Speedy. He's kind of the contact for
the Nadmire family. That then Admires did go as we
need you. We already talked to him about that. To Missouri,
uh and to see the Tide. Uh. Well, we'll have

(06:08):
an update from Dickey today. Yes, I wonder where he
is on that game. M hm. That was an interesting game.
That was the one I watched the most of and
that that was a Missouri has got a good football team,
very good Soda Bama. Yeah, those those they proved it.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
And then I'll tell you how I just winning in
the SEC. It's just hard. It's very difficult.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
And not just that conference, but especially there's just so
many good teams, so.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Difficult, and I'm yet to see a team that can
beat Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
But still, yeah, especially when the officials.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
All right, I'll be I don't want to point it out,
but I called Oregon you did you sure did? Yeah?
And I called I called Pitts Pittsburgh being hard to
stay Yep, we'll call one all right. Matter of fact,
I've been asked in the email today to leave the
state of Florida along. They're likely just if you want
to come down to thirty eighth, stay over there. Of course,

(06:59):
don't be talking about Florida State, Florida anymore. It's bad
news for Indiana here their coaches on top of the
list for Penn State. Yeah they won't. Yeah, how about this.
Indiana is a straight up, a good football straight up,
and he is quite the character. I paid more attention
to him since you brought it up.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
And he's interesting.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
He don't try to sugar the the end game interview. Oh,
it's always precious. It's always good, I think going into halftime. Ye,
I'll tell you what. By the way, if you if
you watch him, he's another one spent time at Bama.
Oh yeah, he's under the saving tree. But so that
and then we we we start today two less coaches

(07:42):
James Franklin fired and uh of course, uh speeding and
when they didn't bring you back your stadium announcer.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
I always worried about uh coach deal for you know,
the last couple of weeks they I think have lost
three in a row, and so U A B Football
decided to Part one deal for out Franklin out yep,
and a lot of people on the hot seat, and
I forgot that Franklin had been at Penn State for
twelve I know, I didn't think twelve.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I heard that too, and I thought twelve years. It
seems because I mean when he got the job. Remember
we met him at the SEC media days when he
was at vand and you're a super nice guy. Yeah,
and uh, twelve years? Twelve years? Man did Vandy play
this weekend? Speaking of it, I don't think the idol
weren't they I don't. I remember they used to call
it idol. I still come with idle, so I always

(08:33):
went with open.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
I don't know, And we've got off with yeah. I
don't know what to do with college football and some
of the things that are going on, but we'll we'll
unpack some of that today that we won't spend the
Whost Show on that. I want to say Happy Columbus
Day to everybody, and I believe it or not have
football fans, and I know a lot of you don't
think this is near as important, uh, but President Trump
is in Israel and this this piece deal is a biggie.

(08:58):
It sure is and the hostages have been returned, right,
I don't know. Process, Yeah, the processes starts.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
They they went through uh, the Red Cross first and
then and then they go to the hospital there in Israel.
But the exchange between Israel and Hamas began local time
there I think eight am.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Yeah, and don't forget. I mean I heard over the
weekend from our pastor who had just returned from Israel,
and he said, you also have to understand. He said,
Hamas is basically no more. It's it's it's all but
been destroyed. He said, Hesbellah has all been destroyed. You know,
the Lebanese have taken their Lebanon back. They're now governing. Uh,

(09:43):
they've they've removed them from from from Lebanon as far
as the Hesbelah, so they're now under a new government. Right,
it's uh, the Iranians aren't running any of these places anymore.
Kind of pushed them back into their own country. So
this is a major ordeal that's going on in the
Middle East right now.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Now.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
I know, somehow, even some of you on the far
right and on the far left have found some way
for this not to be positive. I don't know how,
but yeah, how about I'll just say what Greg has
said many times when we learned it in our Calhoun
County culture, that just may have to be with you. Yeah,
I don't know what to do for you. That's right.
You know that you can't make this good news.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
President Tryson is currently addressing the Israeli parliament. Now I
think he's only maybe the third president to ever do so,
third and fourth. But it's rare because I mean they
have you know, you know, cameras and Tel Aviv and everything,
and people that are just holding up signs, you know,
pro Trump signs or thank you. But it's happening, and

(10:45):
with the Palestinians and the Israelis are both doing it.
There's celebrations on both ends. And to your point, Greg,
how can you not celebrate that?

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Yeah, and you gotta find a way they will. Yeah,
it's I think that really Palestinians and Hebrews all hated
the terrorist groups. It's okay, Yeah, this is the Rick
Burgess show. Speeding and I were talking and Adler two

(11:15):
and Greg all of us in the break. So this
thing going on in the Middle East is big.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
I'm going to prefer to use the term cease fire
because I don't like peace. Well, first of the word piece,
I should Yeah, I don't want if I hear, if
I hear that Donald Trump has worked a seven year
piece deal, this is not good. Okay. So so that
then makes Trump likely the Antichrist. So so we have

(11:41):
to be careful here. Uh, but but I will I
will can't because everybody's supposed to be in love with
anti Christ.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
Yeah, but what point, Greg, because right now both sides
are holding up pro Trump signs and you don't see
that much.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Yeah. I will say this. I think if you think
Trump is the anti Christ, you may be give him
too much credit. Yeah, but he's not quite as savvy
as this. This dude's gonna be so so anyway, but
I will say this, A ceasefire is good. I do
not think this is going to bring any long term
peace to the Middle East, because I know how that's

(12:16):
going to happen. But but that's okay. Let's just take
the wins we can take this. Let's look at it.
This maybe mercy and grace, and and we certainly have
seen that throughout time. I know that God's working out
his ultimate plan.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
And there's nothing anybody is going to do to derail that. However,
there are moments so that of grace and mercy, and
hopefully the ceasefire is something that will last a while
and at least bring some stability to these places. And
let's just celebrate what's happening now, which which all looks
pretty positive. Yeah it does. So there you go, it does.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Netan Yahoo is speaking now to the Israeli parliament, and
President Trump will follow him.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
If it turns out to be seven years. I will
tell you that three and a half in it's god
all going to go south. But you're talking about you
talking about this diffidence.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
You talk about his the timeline of his schedule today
he's speaking to the Israeli parliament now you know, the
release of hostages is going on, and then Trump will
later visit Egypt to participate in the Middle East peace ceremony.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
You're talking about that. Yeah, it was interesting too over
the weekend to watch Obama like he's glad about this,
but never mentioned Trump's name. Yeah, yeah, ain't that something? Yeah,
that's just come over. Well, who cares? I mean, surely
this is something, as I said, that can be by
partisan but apparently not. Somebody said that that Candice Owens,
who's been a little out there lately, says that she's

(13:45):
going to take a much needed break for a while.
I think that'd be great. Nothing. I think that that's
probably a good idea. So just take a little break.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Did y'all see people in Biden's administration, such as Biden's
Secretary of Date Anthony Anthony Blincoln, saying, this is essentially
the plan that we developed.

Speaker 7 (14:06):
This was us.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
And then Trump's response was the all of this stuff
happened during y'all's administration, and we're fixing it. Basically, his
line was so good, and I'll try to find the
clip later. It was like, not even a great president.
All you had to have in the in the office
was a good president for this stuff to not happen.
Not a great one like me, just a good one.

(14:30):
It's so funny but unbelievable that Anthony Blincoln and others
in Biden's administration are trying to take credit for this
piece piece deal or ceasefire, whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Please, let's let's let's say cease far.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
That sounds good.

Speaker 5 (14:44):
I'm good with it, is right, but it's yeah, so,
but I'm so sorry here, but but what it is
is is it's labeled peace deal.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
But I know what you mean. I know, I promise
you piece has not come to the Middle East.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
Yeah, each fire, Yes, let's let's celebrate the twenty Israeli hostages.
Celebrate what we got right, And I don't know, I'm
so mad at Ai. I don't know if y'all are too.
I mean, it presents some pretty cool stuff, but now
you can't believe anything.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
You see because you don't know if is it real?

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Is it not?

Speaker 5 (15:18):
Some of the before and afters of of some of
these poor Israeli hostages prior to being captured and then
now coming out of their Essentially they lived underground in
their own grave.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Is what happened for two years? And that they're coming out.

Speaker 5 (15:36):
You know the old pictures of the concentration camps and stuffs.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Horrifying pictures. That's what they look like. Horrible and they're
like that was that guy? That's all, Oh my gosh,
you know, for two years and so but now I'm
mad at I don't know are they real or not?
You know, everything that comes at you have to go.
That's bad. Look if it's real, Greg, and I have gotten.
We just embraced it. He and I got a big
laugh on right. We were hanging out with mom and

(16:01):
we all just kind of laughed at the this new
AI thing where they at like fat people are doing
things that like flip them up in the air gymnastics
and it's not real fat people.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
It's a I created fat the Fat Olympics.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
I watched that this week so good. Sorry, that's funny.

Speaker 5 (16:18):
One got one got Terry. We were on a little
road trip this past weekend. She said, oh my gosh,
please look at this big lady. They're having to use
kind of a crane or a huge setup to get
her out of the windows, which has and you and
you have fire fighters like okay, ma'am, and then all
of a sudden it snaps and she turns upside down
and she's hanging there. And then all of a sudden
we realized, wait a minute, one of the fire fighters,

(16:40):
that's an extra arm.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
That's an extra arm. This isn't real.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
And then you start reading comments and it's like this
is AI, and you're like, dad, gum it, they got
us again, I know.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
And I had a string of stuff people were sending
me and it was like these carnival rides that are
failing with yeah yeah, yeah yeah, this.

Speaker 6 (16:56):
Fat pull vaultage.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
That's when you and I were watching Craig.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
That's what.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
I could watch that all day. I saw an AI
Think two on Saturday night where like Auburn's quarterback scored
no and it was I guess it was Ai because
they didn't count. It is the Rick Burgess Show. Okay, college,

(17:24):
we just talked about it. Major investments, major investment. So
it's really important that you do your research. You need
to find a school that uh, you know, if you're
thinking for one, I want one that shares uh the
values that that we we think are the most important.
This is the foundation of our family. Well, you you

(17:45):
there's one thing you could do. It what you can
go digging through all the college websites. That's hey, that's
gonna take some time. You got that kind of time? Well,
I have great news. There is a free, easy to
use resource that does all that work for you. It's
called Christian College guide dot com. Now, this is an
online directory of over two hundred and fifty Christian colleges

(18:06):
and universities. It's a one stop shop for you to
check out the so called Christian College. And look, just
because it's in the name, you better do your research. Okay,
christiancollegeguide dot Com list all the basic stuff that you need.
You know, acceptance rates, tuition calls, academic majors, all that's there.

(18:27):
But here's what makes it special. Now remember this is free.
Christiancollegeguide dot Com will show you the school's faith commitments
as well. It's campus policies, it's spiritual life, all the
info that will help you find the college that you
can trust.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
So here we go.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Are you ready? And today now more than ever Christiancollegeguide
dot com. So, Greg wan, I'm gonna ask you about
this weekend. Uh we know the little family gather. You
had a little family gathering. Now it's the siblings and

(19:07):
their kids and their kids kids. Yeah they are so
let me wear thirty people here here, here was, Here
was how the day started. You're you're not up yet?
You're still sleeping. Yeah, I struggling. So we have a family. Well,
you and I had a late night on Friday out.
I really felt for you. My goal was a sleep
to eight thirty and I did take mom's med and

(19:28):
their sunglasses back to before I went home. Got about
that out when I hadn't got that done. Well, I
just I didn't want to. I didn't want to wake up,
and that'd be the first thing I need to get done. Yeah, so, well,
I appreciate you doing that because I got to win. Well, no,
no way was I gonna put that on you.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
No way.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Getting home, I really don't.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
So anyway, Greg and I went to see a really
really good high school football game Friday night. It was
heartbreaking for our team, but wow, what a great game.
So well I fumble. But anyway, so so I'm I'm
I'm getting up on Saturday morning. I mean, I got it,
like I like it. It's cool outside. I even throw

(20:11):
on my packers pull over, go out there, got my
big Vox hat on, got my buzzbox coffee, got the
Word of God laid out, and I'm just getting ready
for the day. And I'm like, oh, there's the family text.
This is always.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
I look, I look down the family text and I
read the following and we're all saying good morning to everybody.
And I threw out. At least I hope today goes
well with your family. That nice, And she says, thank
you those crazy midnight riders those midnight dogs that party
all night long in my yard and destroy my outdoor pillows.

(20:47):
That's where I thought they got the pillows. She was
just referring to that they have. And then Comma, which
is saying I got in all the fresh mulch that
Greg put out and slung it all over the concrete
after after every the yard had been cleaned up, and
it just took everything. And now it's all right back
to how it was before it was ever clean.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
And uh so I can look.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
They don't come around to day. It's so funny, not
writers Greg. The first thing I thought when I heard
her hollering was that they you know, she did have
her mom's out. I figured I was gonna grab a
mum and take off, oh boy, But but they did.
I don't know what they were doing. They like to
wrestle right on my front porch in the middle of
the night. Why and then out there and not Greg's dogs.

(21:32):
Don't these are dogs that come from somewhere else. Yeah,
And they're not stray, They got collars, they belong somebody.
They travel. I mean, I don't have anybody real close
to me, and they'll bring stuff and I'm thinking, well,
somebody's missing this and no, you brought it a long way. Yeah,
she'll show it to me. So I get back from Lisa,
what's great and good news for you. I grabbed the
broom because I said, I have to know Greg's response,

(21:55):
And she said, I grabbed the broom and run out
there before he before he got up, he was he
was still half asleep, so that helped with his attitude.
Did did it?

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:03):
I could hear what she was going on about. So
she says, they're not even our dogs two exclamation points.
They come every single night and they go nuts on
our front porch and make a mess. She looked out
the of the week she heard them barking. It's like
two thirty three o'clock and she looked on the camera
and they were standing on their back legs you know
how arrify it. Yeah, and they're doing that to each
other right there at the porch. She says, which is

(22:25):
behind this is what? This is what I think? She says,
I can't explain it, but we are crazy dog magnets.
Oh yeah, we get them, not just regular dogs that
you don't get. You're not a magnet for like a
nie and dooscile dog some dog that's bring in calamity
prime example. Yes, o words gotten out with all dogs. Yeah,
all dogs tear stuff up. Please go to Gregeah. So

(22:47):
how did it go? It went great. The weather was outstanding,
and so all the people ain't seen in a while.
And of course Lisa always thinks that we're not gonna
have enough food, always and we and every time she
overdoes it. So they had a bunch of stuff there
and and like thirty minutes before everybody get there. I
think you're gonna to and get some pizzas, I said,

(23:09):
We've got enough food to feed the nation. Yeah, right,
And sure enough I was right. We had more than
enough to get pizza. No I didn't. I talked right
of it. But this is funny. I don't know why,
but we Lisa was gathering everybody around to bless the food.
I just say the blessing. Everybody get in here, and

(23:30):
almost like when we when you all said, something gets
your attention. She was holding her phone and everybody's gathering up.
She goes, oh no, Dan Keaton died part of the
prayers and let the whole room started laughing. What's it
got to do? What we're talking? I'm sorry, she died,
not just popped. Yeah, I mean we're gathering. Everybody's getting

(23:53):
ready to Oh my goodness, Dan everybody best foot? Oh
Dan keating? Of course later yeah, no, no, Taylor, he'll
hold one a joke. He's gonna pull on her. He goes,
she couldn't believe the game. But yeah, yea. He was tired.
But hours later, all of a sudden he said, uh, Mom,
I sent you a really important text message. You might

(24:13):
want to check it out. And of course it was dang.
He held back on getting her, but he waited for
about three hours, and then he goes, a very important message.
Did she fell for it?

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Really?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
How did all the grandkids do?

Speaker 3 (24:28):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
They were great. They were piling up. One time. I
go in the living room and Lisa's got these chairs
and you know how you do?

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Yeah, a little really an area for the kids to
be playing, because they can cause a lot of trouble
in there. No, I know that room in your house
where it's supposed to be just for Yeah, it's supposed
to be a place of beauty and calmness, not a
great place for grenking. I walked by and they're like
they wanted me to count come look for them. Oh
so some of them are obvious, you know how I
think they're hiding their head out of door. But I

(25:02):
look and these at least it's got these weird chairs
and they got like a hole in the you're looking
from the back where the legs are. It's it's kind
of curving, you know. Anyway, a little bit of the
open spot, and I'm looking around. I look back and
there's Mary Hollis's face. So she got there under and
then it's real tie. That would be my first thought,

(25:29):
is she stuck? Yeah I did. I'm not, but she
wasn't panicking, so I guess she was good.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Please tell me. You get close to him and you
walk around like I wonder, and they're going, yeah, you
can hear their laughs and.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
They can't make it. Are you ever gone too far?
If they're certain agents, like they want you to find them,
and you're trying to act like you're giving them a moment,
and they're like, yeah, right. I mean, Ella's got mad
at pace because the pace would he would be found
and then he'd point out where Elise is. Uhh, well
we pointing and telling everybody. So we did all that,

(25:58):
and of course they out in the yard they were playing.
You know, we had some corn hole. We had you know,
having Yeah, the writers don't come back in today, do
they know?

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Then?

Speaker 1 (26:08):
We never saw that the writers.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
Now let me ask you you a question. I know,
in front of the grandkids, you were popping. How was
your overall attitude all day?

Speaker 1 (26:19):
I had a great attitude. And I woke up and said,
everything's good. Everything. Why ain't you frowning? Papa? We had
a ball and I sent you an email of Greg's
grandkids picture. It looks like this is from this when
out had Clifford the Big Yeah no mom and sent
them all over Clifford the Big Red Dog for Halloween.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Let me tell you, I got a little book. What's
funny is so two of them I got to interact
with the Friday night at the ball game. And that's
Taylor's kids, which is Ellis and Marin so Ellis, I
mean he he loves the hot music, the man and
he dances, I mean good time and any any mouths
and he sounds and there like you know the jump

(27:00):
around here you know that and so here they all
are so had under the pen at one time. Right,
that's a good picture.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
Of it.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
It's hard to get all for him to look at
the camera. I don't know how that is. That's not bad.
So anyway, so on the far left, So Ellis he
was on the field, you know, and that and of
course what's funny is I always do the little y'all
got to hug me for I go, you know, sleepy
and uh and so Greg and I we're really sleeping.
We're trying to give Taylor a lot but not be
a bit up, you know, and after a close loss,

(27:30):
you know. So it's a fine line you walk and
h So I so married first of all, was being funny,
which she was messing around. I said, can give me
hope for going she is now? And then she sad
at me and then ran into my arms. And so
then Elis I said, he of course he was. I
think Ellis started hugging me because it got cooler than
he thought. I think he was just trying to stay warmed. Yeah,
because at one point start getting close to me. I
thought he's just trying to get well it was anyway,

(27:52):
so he goes because I heard him say it was cold,
Like I heard him, He's like, I'm gona come over here,
and sit with you and yeah, come on over. He
thought there's a big pillow snug a lot. So anyway,
so I said, buddy, I love you and I'm proud
of me. He goes, what are you proud of me for?
And I said, you're dancing. Look, and he'll agree with
you got that like like yeah you got that? Run yeah, yeah,

(28:14):
he gets pired of a house of pain. Jump around, y'all.
What he does is mout there and he'll jump around.
He'll jump around. Funny, I'm proud of you what you're
proud of him for? For your dancing. I get that.
I'm not bragging. That's just what I do. That win't

(28:35):
good boy? Gradually have a good ad to you, Greg,
Greg Midnight Rider. This is the Rick Burgess Show. Uh.
This weekend we were hitting all the weekend stuff. Look
I have let's just I'm just gonna just come clean.

(28:58):
Everybody knows this. Greg and I and of course Adler's
in this too. I feel bad for him as well
how it happened to him. But Greg and I from
the time we were children, our dad played at Auburn,
so are we grew up Auburn fans. There's there's one
of the fewer things you'll do that are tougher than

(29:18):
in life than to be an Auburn fan. It's it
is a grueling journey.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
It's it has the highest highs and the lowest lows,
and more lows than highs. Uh. And there's something that
we just called that's so Auburn, and Auburn can auburn
you in so many Auburny ways that you can't believe
their auburness. And and things just seem to happen and

(29:51):
I can't describe it. You can change presidents, you can
change athletic directors, you can change coaches, you can change players,
and it still happens, and it's always the same way.
And I feel kind of bad because they have really
a very passionate fan base, and they got a great

(30:11):
atmosphere where you know, every now and then on one
of your highest, highest trained things will happen in that stadium.
If you've never experienced it, it's a wonderful atmosphere. Somehow
you could go there and not care. Okay, but so
I made a decisions.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
You know that.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
You know I've already lived longer than I'm going to live.
So I'm very, very choosy about what I do with
my time now and I and I don't reason try
to reason with unreasonable people anymore. How's that going. It's
doing great. It's actually free. Mean, I used to die
on every hill and just really fire and fall. Now
I just it's rare. He'll I'll die on and once
I realize I can't reason with you, I just act.

(30:48):
And so so I made a decision that I was done.
I will not be participating in Auburn football. I'm not
being pulled into there. I've got it's it's no fun
for me. I'm gonna watch football, but I'm not watching them.
I can't and I just can't. The way it makes
you just can't put myself in that take you back

(31:09):
to being a kid. Yeah, yeah, I mean you don't
understand what Greg and I went through. Can you imagine
growing up in the seventies and being an Auburn fan
in the seventies, that was a nightmare. Bama beat them
like nine years in a row. Your friends at school,
you just all those all those little Bama kids. They
were the meanest little kids ever. I didn't want to
go to school. I didn't either. Ronnie and Donnie Strickling.

(31:31):
The twins alone. They were the worst little Bama fans
I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Ronnie and Donnie.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Honny and Donnie were They loved the tide. They and
they could talk, trade what they want every time. Every
They never lost, it seemed, yeah, so they are in
the right to talk. So yeah, well, look, then my
son decides he's gonna play for Auburn, so I get
drugg back, you know. Finally we went away from Auburn
because Mom got mad at him, and I thought, okay,

(31:58):
we're out. And then and we went to Jacksonville State
and we went through all that grueling and wonderful run.
And then when that ended, and then my son goes
to Auburn, I'm pulled back in. We had twenty ten Okay,
that's it. The other three years were horrifight. Okay, but
you know so and only at Auburn. Can you go

(32:19):
from I mean my son was only there four years.
Can you go from all in to It's a new
day in four years? Okay?

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (32:26):
I mean gin chess, it couldn't even survive it. He
won the national championship and then it went first one
in fifty years. It went down the tubes okay and quick.
So I just I don't have to be involved anymore.
I don't have anybody coaching there, on himbody playing there.
I have no one attending there. I don't have to
be there. So I said, no more, I'm out. So Sherry,

(32:50):
we're at the house Saturday and we're having a good day.
It's going great. I'll watch Alabama Missouri. I'm I'm kicking around,
I'm having fun. I'm having a good day. I really am.
And she says, oh, I think I want to watch
the Auburn Georgia game. I said, baby, no, don't, no, baby, no, no, no, no.
She goes, Why an't you acting so weird about that?

(33:10):
I said, baby, I can't. She goes, I want to
watch football with you. I never we don't do that much.
That'll be fun. I said. It won't be fun, honey,
it won't be It won't be fun. I said, we
will literally be killed by a thousand tiny cuts, will bleed.
You'll start out like you're gonna win. I said. Auburn
will take us and they'll abuse us. And I said,
and this is before we ever kicked off. You remember

(33:33):
that time I told her fourth and thirty one didn't
mean anything, and she couldn't believe it. And I just
kept eating and I said, baby, I don't even know
what's gonna happen. I said, here's the worst part. George
is not going to destroy Auburn. That's the worst part.
You're gonna think Auburn's gonna win. And I said, and
that's gonna be the cruelest I said, this is the

(33:53):
cruelty of Auburn. You're telling her. I said, it'll be
an atmosphere. You'll think to yourself, my goodness, I can't
anybody beat Auburn. Look at this atmosphere, and we'll be
all in and you'll be like it's gonna happen, and
Auburn will come out like Game Bo. And I said,
something's gonna happen. I had no idea. I said. It
won't just be one of those things where you're like, well,

(34:13):
I said, it'll it'll be some sort of mysterious, crazy,
weird like fourth and thirty one. I said, even when
they win, I said, even when Auburn wins, it's weird.
Kick six, that's weird, that's batted up in the air
Georgia things. But ten years ago, that's weird. The fact
that Auburn. Auburn does it even when they win. It's weird. Okay,

(34:35):
it's a it's just a weird experience. You never go, wow,
that was well played? Man? What what?

Speaker 3 (34:41):
What? What?

Speaker 1 (34:41):
An incredible?

Speaker 3 (34:42):
What?

Speaker 1 (34:43):
An incredible presentation of football. It's never that. There's moments
where you go, hey, I think we're pretty good, and
then that's the worst thing. It's it's it's it's full.
It's Auburn version of thinking you can have something. So
she says, well, I know you think they've lost because
that's the way you are. I said, cause I protect myself.
I'm not putting my She it's that little kid from
the seventies, isn't it. I said, that kid from the seventies.

(35:03):
You don't know what he went through. I said, you ever,
you know you heard of childhood trauma? She goes. I said,
it's real, and she goes, Rick, people have childhood trauma
over much more important things. I said, easy to say.
Since you were a Bama fan in the seventies, she goes, yeah,
my family was for Alabama and I didn't really care.
I said, see there, I said, what, don't do this, honey,
this is not the way to spend Saturday night. It's

(35:25):
just not And I was just sitting there and she goes,
this is this is great. Look at this, and I
just said, I'm already shaking my head. She goes, they
haven't even kicked off Rick. I said, I'm telling you,
we will regret ever doing this. I said, we will
wish we weren't here, and she said, you're my gosh.

(35:46):
And then it happened when when Auburn scored, and no
one disagrees. That's what I don't understand. And I'm not
saying that they would have won the game. I'm just
talking about the second half. I'm just saying that the
second and half is as Auburn as Auburn can be.
It's the most Auburny thing Auburn ever. Okay here, so anyway,

(36:07):
I mean, it looked like that Georgie's wild get beat
by forty, which is what Auburn does. Suddenly, this of
the quarterback that can't hit anybody, he's hit, he's it's
like he's the greatest. But of course then when he
came back, but he came back and had somebody wide
open down the middle, which is the Auburn way. You
know what, if we could just hit a pass right now,

(36:27):
somebody's open overthrows, you know what I mean? And so yeah,
it's one of them. Is so open the crowd before
the ball is even released. But only Auburn can score,
and the instant replay even agree they scored, and it's
still not be a score. Only Auburn can do that. Look,
look right there at the tip of the ball. If
it breaks the plane, it's over it' I don't understand.

(36:50):
Where's the official that's looking at the line that as
soon as it breaks the plane he does this. We
never get that because it's Auburn. Now everybody else this
would have been a simple touchdown where if it was Auburn,
Auburn would have recovered the fumble, ran to the other
end and we'd have been like, hey, we stopped it,
and then they would have come back. Looked at the replay,
it would have clearly been a fumble and they were saying, no,

(37:11):
he scored because he broke the plane. Now I will say,
this kid, protect the ball and nobody has to worry
about this, and this is not what costs you know what.
And you wonder if they would have called it a testdown.
Would it have stayed that it was too close to
mean twenty minutes point, that's don't review that.

Speaker 5 (37:27):
The last two minutes we marked it, the last two
Booger McFarlane have been said it. The last two minutes
going into halftime took thirty eight minutes, forty.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
Forty minutes for two minutes again, something else downfield?

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Oh yeah, White Hat was out of breath. He was
having to go to the screen. I don't know what
in the world was that game. I don't know what's
going on with SEC officials. I don't care what the
colors of the teams are. I don't even care who's playing.
I know everybody's gonna say I'm saying no, no, something's wrong.
I don't know what's wrong. I don't know what's happening
in Birmingham. I don't know why we have instant replay.

(38:01):
It's almost like the officials are terrified of the eye
and the sky and they don't call anything. They just
wait for Birmingham to decide what happened, and then Birmingham.
This is the best line ever. This is Auburn fan
that is summed up in this beautiful text. My buddy
looked at me and says, we can't even score when
we score. That's it. The greatest statements.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
That is.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
That is is Auburn as you can be even when
Auburn scores, they don't score. That that that that that
is just I mean why And I look at Shery
and by the way, we got into a little bit
of argument. She goes, I said, I told you not
that we shouldn't be doing. I'm out. She goes, You're leaving.
I said, I'm leaving. Why would I do this to myself?

(38:46):
Did you stick around for the clapping time out of
Kirby Smart? Well, I will tell you everybody got that wrong. Though.
I saw what Kirby Smart was saying. He was saying
Auburn was clapping.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
Just show.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Was not saying he was clapping. That was wrong. But
he did call Tom out. That's the part this weirdo.
He clearly is calling Tom out. Now, he may not
have meant to call Tom out, but he did. But
people kept saying he's saying he was just clapping. He
never said that. He was saying he said Auburn's clapping,
which which I think they were.

Speaker 6 (39:23):
You can yeah, yeah, I've got here.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Here's the dB.

Speaker 4 (39:25):
You could see him clapping here right there there he
is clapping, and then Kirby Smart comes in and calls
the time out. So he was saying he should have
been charged. He should not have been charged with the
time out. There you go, there's the dB clapping right there,
which honestly, I.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Didn't know that. They they couldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (39:40):
No, you can't, you can't do it.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
Ye.

Speaker 5 (39:42):
In the postgame press conference, he said he had warned
the officials prior to the game. Hey, Auburn, their defense
claps and and I guess when whenever this happened. That's
what he was running down the line trying to say.
But yet he was, he was, he was, he was.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
He wasn't clapping with his hands. He was showing time
out all.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
The time out.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
But he should have been charged with the time out costs.
They didn't call clapping. You can't just let the coach
not get a time out because he told you what
you should have called that you didn't call. I mean,
so all I got to do now is call time out.
Said they were holding us, and they go, we didn't
call hold him, but we won't charge with the time out.
We didn't know. That's why you want to interrupt us.
You have to be charged with the time out if
you call one the mouth right after that. In fact,

(40:24):
this unless the officials called clapping. Now, if they did,
then yeah, don't charge him with the time Yeah they
didn't call it.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
No, he is clearly calling time out and they didn't
charge him with the time out. And then they made
out right after that.

Speaker 1 (40:39):
Guys, well they actually did acknowledge this time out because
they called time out. Then they said he won't be
charged with the time out and we're going to play
the down over. But they still got the clock stops
so they can set their defense.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Right.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
But that's Auburn, right, So what you say, that's the
most it's Java, just Auburn being Auburn.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
The penalties, the pennel depend.

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Did y'all see when the game was over, the slow
motion run with Kirby and his tongue wagging his tongue,
it was so weird, I don't know, it was wagging
his tongue freight for a long distance. You know, when
you do that, you don't realize, like when you play
the lead guitar and you got tongue, you know it
was one of those. I'm not saying that he was

(41:22):
like point, I'm just saying but they had that shot
of it, and it was a long I mean he
ran a long way in slow motion of this tongue
and then the weird part. I agree with Georgia fans.
If it was a fumble, Georgia should have got a touchdown,
right because the guy was never laying on his feet
on his butt. No, no, he never touched the ground.
He was laying on the pile. They did blow the whistle.

(41:44):
But see, they didn't even get that right now. They
didn't even get the play the call they claim was
the final call. They didn't even get that call right
now because Georgia.

Speaker 4 (41:54):
Thought this is insane, this is just should not be happening.
And then no, I'm sorry for being a barner here,
but there are roughing the passer call.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
They never showed it on the replay. They never showed
it in real time.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
They only showed this roughing the passer call in slow
so that it looked like the Auburn player followed through
real show it in real time because it was a
bing bang play. There was something crazy going on in
this game, y'all. And I know I'm a barner, but
it was play after play after play, the no touchdown,
the clapping, the third and four on the final touchdown drive,

(42:32):
the no review for targeting, the pass interference Auburn Georgia
being off sides is the roughing the passer call?

Speaker 1 (42:39):
It was.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
I know nobody wants to hear this, Okay, here it
is all in one infographic.

Speaker 4 (42:47):
All It's just how many do they do you have
to have go against you before you say, okay, wait,
what's going on? No?

Speaker 1 (42:52):
No, but I know we wanted to do conspiracy. But
I've been an Auburn fan since a kid. This is
how Auburn life is. Okays, it just it's just the
way it is. This is the auburny Auburn. You're saying
this is new to this year. I knew how many
times have I watched them in this years at night
for some reason, the worst ones, and when it's over,

(43:13):
you go, what happened? Yeah? Like I said, even when
Auburn wins big game, it's weird, you know, it's it's
always weird.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
When we were up, tend to we when Auburn was
up tend to oh did you go?

Speaker 9 (43:26):
We?

Speaker 4 (43:26):
I was watching the game, and even in my mind,
I'm like, enjoy this time period, Chris, enjoy this time
where you are winning this game, because that's not how
it's going to end.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
No, And I even knew it as I was watching.

Speaker 1 (43:38):
It, Sherry. The only thing that made Sherry mad during
the game was was Kirby Smart's haircut. She said, how
can a man make the money he makes? How can
a man have access to probably some of the greatest
hairstylists the world, anyone he wants, anyone he wants. She
goes and he's got his haircut like he's a little
boy going to going to elementary school. Yeah, he really does.
It looks like that first haircut you get with your kid.

Speaker 6 (44:00):
He has Ezra's haircut. Yeah, my son, my two year
old son.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
But at the end of it all, no matter, what
is all Auburn had to do. If you're an Auburn fan,
it's come out in the second half. And Georgia made
outstanding adjustments they did. Auburn did not. And you know,
did I see they had the title of like had
every chance to win the game? Uh, you just come

(44:25):
out and keep playing.

Speaker 8 (44:26):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
And I think they got too caught up in the
injustice and kind of got and lost their focus. So Speedy,
it seems to me that you think we have Dickie
ready to go, we do Rick Dicky. Dicky is ready
to go. He is fired up, to say the least.
And Uh, let's uh, let's bring the guy in here.

(44:48):
Let's say held on.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Uh, let's see if I think you see Dickie. You here, Dickie,
I admire. How about the big wam, big.

Speaker 3 (45:02):
Guy well rama Jama yellowhammer, look up top that goes Bama?

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Oh boy, never know how how was that? Everybody keeps
wondering why I don't talk to you in all this mess? Uh?
The bottom line is that, I mean Alabama won, But
was it was it convincing enough for you?

Speaker 3 (45:27):
Well? Little Ricky's gonna talk to me. Usually you leave
the room when Dicky's on. Little Ricky's gonna come in.

Speaker 4 (45:35):
Now.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
He's an expert because his daddy was a coach. One
thing I don't like Rick and I don't like Speedy.
I don't like Greg and I don't like adler is.
I don't like hearing all these making excuses. We got
wrong in our little game. We scored a touchdown and
didn't know what to do it to us.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Alabama fans definitely don't ever do that, right, No.

Speaker 3 (46:01):
You said that, Gregory, I'm glad you said that one time.
Go ahead, you named one time you've heard Bama fans
make excuses.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Usually they and they also think the commentator doesn't like
to tie. Yeah, well, Dick, he are you claiming you've
never heard Alabama fans complain about the officiating? Are you
kidding me?

Speaker 3 (46:22):
Well? I mean I don't recall the time. Nothing comes
to mind. I mean, Auburn always thinks everybody's out to
get them in some conspiracy. But napchers don't like us,
the SEC don't like us. They protecting Bama and Kirby.

Speaker 1 (46:41):
It was that was never never had those complaints. It
was an interesting it was an interesting evening. Uh. But
back to the Bama game. Uh, Dicky, what was it like?
What was it like being there in Missouri? It was
a tough game. It started out Missouri could run the ball,
but Bama's defense stood up.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
Well, Columbia Mississippi is a dumpuri Okay, yeah, yeah, you
got yeah, because Columbus. Let me make it clear. Let
me make it clear. Columbia Mississippi and Columbia Usury are
both dogs.

Speaker 5 (47:14):
Okay, Well, so you just don't he don't like any
of them, so you didn't need any Columbians.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
Well, we had a bit of a we had a
bit of a situation at one time. My son Peter
got to go again and he had he had some
trouble with the law because he actually started watching the
game from the front end loader that was in the
end zone.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
They got some construction on that. Let's a little a
little messy, looked a little miss a little MISSI you
know in the past, that was the grass Hill. Remember
they had people Oh.

Speaker 3 (47:44):
Yeah, yeah, well and you know what the Missouri people,
what did they always say? Greg Ricky Speed, he had
show me, show me. Let me tell you what we
showed you. We showed you. The tide was never in doubt.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
Dominated again, So you were never worried, never worried.

Speaker 3 (48:05):
Uh you know. I was always one of the things
that I talked about is I knew that that the
boar would turn it around. We didn't show up.

Speaker 1 (48:12):
Oh yeah, yeah, I remember you being on the boar's side.
That's right. Yeah, that really never happened.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
Right, You heard me say, brilliant higher after saving the
boy's clearly the way to go. I never doubted this team.
The team looks smooth, I mean where our defense looks athletic,
and the team looks like they're well disciplined. And what
I like coming up with Tennessee this week and the
Boar is brilliant. We didn't show our hand. We didn't.

(48:38):
We didn't do any anywhere offense to show lou smidgen
of it.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
So we needed I want to show your hand now.
Uh now, what about Tennessee. They're coming to Tuscaloosa, my friend,
what you got?

Speaker 3 (48:51):
Well Tennessee? Once again? Doctor hopes up, don't they.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
They're pretty good gigars out, they're rent, they're pretty good.

Speaker 3 (48:58):
Dicky, we got to a little football team. We're gonna
come to tuscalution be Bama.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
Well I guess that's yeah, kind of that's what they're hoping.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
Yeah, yeah, I will guarantee you right now if you
if you've got the big orange on and you're gonna
come to Tuscalusia, I want you to prepare to get
your little heartbroken. You're gonna cry louder than the Barners.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
I cry right now. Well, well, so they have no
chance well, you come down.

Speaker 3 (49:29):
There and used to play the champion. You're gonna come
into bright Den in and before you know it, even
Smoke you don't want to come. I mean you if
you ask Smoky right now, he says, please don't take
me to Tuscalus.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
Let me set this one out. Yeah, it's gonna be
a night game too, a night game in Tuscalosa. Kick
six thirty Central kick, I believe.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
Well, I think once we all settled in and get ready,
you know, it's the days go on. You know, the
n admirers would get a little cranked. U we were
you know, we hit we we hit that tail game
pretty hard, and so by by the time we tee
it up and kick it off, we'll.

Speaker 1 (50:04):
Be turned turn oh turned, yeah, I mean.

Speaker 3 (50:08):
That's a new word that Adner turned turned.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
Yeah, that turns him. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Adler was pretty upset about that Auburn game, weren't you,
ad It worried?

Speaker 3 (50:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (50:18):
Good?

Speaker 3 (50:19):
Yeah. Well he's a tiny little barner, isn't he.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
It's not the size of the dog in the fight.
It's the size of the fight and the dog.

Speaker 3 (50:29):
Well that's what dogs say. They've been ninjured.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Of course, the dogs beat us.

Speaker 1 (50:34):
So yeah, yeah, they had.

Speaker 9 (50:37):
That.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
Yeah. Yeah, Adder's not a barner, he's more utility building,
more of a shed.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Yeah she did.

Speaker 5 (50:47):
I know you're not into predicting other games, but Ole
miss is going into Georgia. That's where college game day
is going to be.

Speaker 3 (50:54):
Well, I think you we gotta remember any time you
go and play anybody out of the saving tree, you're
the disadvantage. I mean, it's just basically Alabama again. And
and so he's the only one that can can handle
it because he was raised by said, look what's happened
to third Indiana? You look at the saving tree. So
anytime you've got a former saving coach paying anybody else,

(51:15):
you go with a former saving coach.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
Right, but I mean bad, But what Lane Kiffin's a
former coach, so Dickie, but.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
Lane Kiffin, Lane Kiffen was partying the chasing women when
he was at Bama, not Kirby.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Okay, Oh, Kirby was learning. So there's the difference.

Speaker 3 (51:31):
Yeah. So so, so Kiffin missed a few meetings that
Kirby didn't miss.

Speaker 1 (51:36):
Road tight, Yeah, road time.

Speaker 3 (51:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
They would have to find Lane sometimes and ask him where,
bring him on over there. Hey, we've started the meeting.
That's old Lane.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
That's it. Yeah, the old Lane Kiffin. He kind of
gave a different spinder, Ramma, Jemma, didn't he.

Speaker 5 (51:53):
Yeah he did. He's so tight he sure did. All right,
So Dicky you're coming in. I guess you've left. Are
you back in Tuscaloosa? Or if I miss that, I'm sorry?

Speaker 1 (52:03):
But where are you? Are you traveling?

Speaker 3 (52:06):
Well, we've stopped off here. The rest of that. We're
working our way back, and everybody's going to the bathroom.
Fill us said, pull over, I got the d D.
And so we're working on that, working our way back
to the town of Champions. Okay, and that's Tuscalusa, so
we can get ready for the big archs coming in
so we can break some more hearts. And you know what,
we don't complain about officiating. We don't complain about your nuts.

(52:28):
And now we don't complain about things on the outside.
Mama gets up there. We just win the game, and
when we lose, we take responsibility for it.

Speaker 1 (52:35):
Okay, Now, will you will you go straight to where
you're tailgating and just be there all week? Or what
will you do when you roll into the tea town
you can bet the that myrs y'all gonna hit Tuscalusa hard.

Speaker 3 (52:46):
Oh yeah, well, well yes, we're gonna thank you, Ricky.
Good have you got me today?

Speaker 1 (52:51):
Celebrate a week.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
Celebrating all week long. Get down to Tuscaloosa and get
set up. Get ready to go. We bring the big
Archie coming up to satur Day.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
It's orange. We got to go to break air, Dickie.
I appreciate you checking in, taking time.

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Road ta.

Speaker 5 (53:10):
Yeah boy, there he goes, Rick got a little I'm
glad you finally stayed in here. Rick, That's that was
nice of you.

Speaker 1 (53:15):
Yeah. I thought he was with him. Do what now?

Speaker 3 (53:19):
I don't like it?

Speaker 5 (53:20):
You don't know, Okay, well, I'm sorry. I'm glad you
got your experience. Though at least you didn't run out.
We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Glad the man they fall hard.

Speaker 3 (53:35):
Well.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
Plus, you know, when I first saw that some of
this footage, it looked like there was somebody pinned underneath it.
Or was that just somebody that fell out of the helicopter.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
That you're right, the footage is people are just I
mean people are below it. Yeah, here's the uh, here's
that footage here.

Speaker 1 (53:51):
Yeah, look I mean, what if you look in that
helicopter those you can't see it. You surely you've seen
the footage. This is Huntington Beach, is that right?

Speaker 2 (54:00):
And everything seems normal until now.

Speaker 1 (54:02):
Yeah, now it starts doing that spin but there's people
all around there on the beach. Yeah, and and so
it comes crashing down and did it land on someone.

Speaker 4 (54:13):
Here's another view of it from uh from far away.
That was the view directly underneath it. And those last
couple of frames of the thing are just like rotor blades.
I mean, there's there's people and there's rotor blades in
the same shot.

Speaker 10 (54:27):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Here is here and that view was what we were
just seeing. The people on the stairs here and they're
gonna it's good.

Speaker 6 (54:33):
Yeah, this is part of it.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
Look, there's a film crew here there, so they're filming
something and here it comes down those people, but nobody died.

Speaker 1 (54:42):
That's the part. I couldn't believe. Crazy, I couldn't believe.
I'm so thankful.

Speaker 5 (54:46):
And it's called a spin out, I guess, is what
they when when it happens. Because he's coming in just
a little above the tree, the tree.

Speaker 6 (54:54):
Line, the tail rotor failed.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 3 (55:01):
That is so all right.

Speaker 1 (55:02):
I just know something Atdler, So you're right. They're shooting something,
some sort of film crazy. And the skateboard guy I
think has a camera. Yeah, I think he's shooting too,
like trying to do a moving shot see right there. Yeah,
I think he has a camera too.

Speaker 3 (55:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
And there's a crane on this vehicle over here. That
guy's got a camera of some kind. There's people on
the staircase and then boom, the helicopter just falls on
the staircase that the people are on.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:25):
And kudos to the guy driving that had the crane.
He took off, he hit gas, yeah, and got out
of there. So lucky they have no I mean no fire. Yeah.
So here's what I'm wondering. You know, let's let's be honest.
When I first saw it, I thought it was a
I I mean, I don't I don't know what to
believe anymore, but we think it really is a crash,

(55:47):
and no doubt, but I cannot believe that that no
one was injured, and I'm thankful.

Speaker 5 (55:53):
Well it says five people were injured, and yeah, yeah,
I said, two people inside.

Speaker 1 (55:58):
The chopper and three estrians on the ground. We're taken
to the hospital. Wow wow wow wow. Uh So also
another story from over the weekend. Uh ada, let's look
at at video eight. So over the weekend, kind of
a cool story involving Travis Hunter, the standout for the
Jacksonville Jaguars by the way, having a good season. Uh

(56:21):
he got baptized before the game against the Seahawks. Have
you seen this? This was unfortunately the Seahawks beat him,
but well, you know what, but you know this is
what's more important. This, this is one of those things
where I guess the Lord says, you're still with me.
It's not about health, wealth and prosperity. Uh So, here
he is being baptized, so you know, hopefully all that
this is he continues to grow spiritually and and uh

(56:44):
you know, we use the platform like you've been hoping
for Adler, Yes with Travis Kelcey and yes sedlor Swift.
But she wrote a beautiful love song, oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (56:55):
Love ballad for the ages.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
Yeah good night. I just can't imagine. I can't imagine,
like I go to the locker room the first time,
if everybody's heard my new album. And to add to
that weirdness, Taylor Swift watches the Chiefs and Travis Kelcey
her fiance with Caiton and Clark. That was that was interesting.

(57:20):
Let's bring her. Now where does this land with with
the leftists? Are they anti? Are pro Kaitlyn Clark? I mean,
is this a I don't know, you're right, yeah, what messages?
Just aren't you supposed to not like Caitlyn Clark claims
to get special treatment? Is this somehow white privilege that

(57:41):
Taylor Swift would have her sit there and not a
black player? You know, I'm just trying to play the
left game. Yeah, you're trying to have the left game play.

Speaker 2 (57:48):
Why isn't Angel Reese also there?

Speaker 3 (57:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (57:51):
Okay, yeah, some sort of privilege. Check your privilege at
the door. So so, yeah, Caitlyn Clark is kind of
an anomaly. She is she officially Is that a good
thing to be with Caitlyn Clark if you're a leftist
or a bad thing?

Speaker 3 (58:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
If it's awkward? Isn't that his dad? Yeah? Between him
and timers have haveter hearing that song. Yeah yeah, yeah, Greg,
of course it is. You know what it's like, it's
like weird. It's like your fiance and you having some
having some racy letters back and forth to each otherbody's reading,
and suddenly the whole world gets to read them. Yeah,

(58:26):
I mean that's just weird. I wonder if they. I
wonder if they because this is her first appearance since
the album drop. You think he's listened to it, Well,
of course he has. He's probably heard about a lot
of prayers, and I don't know that he's listening to it.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
Well.

Speaker 1 (58:39):
Then again, trying to be sharp because his sons, you know,
but it has been written and talked about.

Speaker 3 (58:46):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
Also just look at the top. Yeah, speaking of that
video nine, the title tells you what to get rid.
But video nine, speaking of the Chiefs game against the Lines,
had a fight break out. Oh yeah, so what hare
You know?

Speaker 5 (59:02):
After the game, everybody comes together and sure pretty cordial
or whatever. Apparently one of the lines running backs kind
of brand what walk branch, kind of walked past my
homes and.

Speaker 1 (59:13):
Didn't left him hanging. Yeah, I just didn't give him.

Speaker 5 (59:16):
A handshake, and so my homes reached out and tapped
him on the shoulder. Well, one of the wide receivers
and the Chiefs took exception to it, and uh, and
then went to shake.

Speaker 1 (59:27):
Branch's hand, and Branch slapped him, hitting pretty good by
the way.

Speaker 5 (59:30):
Yeah, and the helmet and uh. And then that then
the altercation took from went from there and then now
they weren't having it and.

Speaker 1 (59:38):
Here we go. Yeah, number nine Branch was a little
out of control, looked.

Speaker 4 (59:42):
Like yeah, yeah number and then number nine on the
chiefs Uh, he's the one that got hit by Branch.

Speaker 10 (59:48):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (59:49):
You can tell that for a split second, he thinks
about like falling down after getting hit in the face.

Speaker 1 (59:55):
Uh, and he forgot the game was over.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
He's like he was going to fall down, he thought
about it. He's like, no, what, I'm actually mad. So
he goes after Branch. Branch then grabs him by the
face backs and just whips him around. So he almost
should have stayed down.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
Honestly, Yeah, I think for a minute he forgot the
game was over.

Speaker 5 (01:00:12):
Man, all I can all I can, all I can
look at is the cameraman that was just trying to
get footage on the field.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
And guy, there's a guy and he his job is
so hard.

Speaker 5 (01:00:25):
He's got all the cables and he constantly, constantly has
to get it, keep it, keep it all around his
own man. He's cable man and he has to let
out whatever and he is trying to have quick feet
and get out from the fight that is insuing and.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Cable and he's like, yeah, he can't get out. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
These men in the NFL, they I went to that
Rams game a couple of weekends ago, and they moved differently.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
The the the entire these men just moved differently.

Speaker 4 (01:00:57):
They're bigger, stronger, faster, and it's like watching like water
rush around instead of just like watching people play a game.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
I don't know how to describe it, but it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
When the ball goes somewhere, then there's an avalanche of
bodies that follows it in a it's just like it's
like just rolling and tumbling, like rocks falling down a
hill instead of watching a game.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
It's just it's hard to describe, but it's just a
different thing.

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
But there's a moosity there that almost boggles the mind
that side size and speed could be together like that. Yes.

Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
Yeah, and everybody's so keyed in and locked into the game. Uh,
everybody gets there faster, everybody gets there. You see what
I'm saying. They're just so locked in. Everybody's just on it,
and it's just it's just a different sport almost. It's
it's it is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
It's a big jump from college to that. It's a
big jump.

Speaker 6 (01:01:53):
It's unreal.

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
It's the reason why, right, it's the reason why you
see a player like Will play in college and it
almost it's like they're that kid at the sandlot or
in the backyard in the neighborhood that's better than everybody.
And then they go to the NFL. It's like they
don't look that way anymore. What happened?

Speaker 8 (01:02:10):
You know?

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
They don't look like that. What everybody's big, strong and
fast now just them, everybody is.

Speaker 5 (01:02:16):
And bring in Branch for the lines that he is
a defensive back, not a running back. And apparently he
had hit my homes earlier in the game or something.

Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
I don't know. So it was just a mess, all right,
So speedy this and I mean, I appreciate what you're
trying to do. I really do. But Adam's he doing
this to you too. He keeps trying to talk about
music with us good night, and it's like he hurt loader.

(01:02:45):
Watch out right, that's good, hey, Eddie Trunk, what you got?
And he in the Brakes, they had little music something.
I'm surprised you haven't been talking about.

Speaker 5 (01:02:53):
I mean I gave y'all since last Thursday to mention
it and you haven't. So I'm like, well, maybe they
just don't know, maybe they're not up on it like me.

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
I give you a little Do you know who this
is talking? So?

Speaker 10 (01:03:06):
What about the actual albums? Massive thanks obviously, go out
the mud Lang, Joe Amble. I'm working with this unknown
quantity back in nineteen eighty one taught us what making
the record really meant.

Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
It helps us create songs.

Speaker 10 (01:03:20):
That would hopefully last a lifetime to our incredible, loving
fan base out there.

Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
Two words, thank you. That's right, thank you?

Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
You know where he's talking. Did Pyromania have some anniversary
or something? No, they got their Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Oh I did not know that. Definitely one of my
favorite bands. They got the Hollywood Walk of Fame last Thursday.
You so you've been holding the story if you knew it,
we should, right, I mean even bon Jovi spoke on

(01:03:53):
their behalf. I am John bon Jovi and I am
a Deaf Leppard fan. That's it. That's it. We first
met in nineteen eighty six on a festival show in Germany.
And I quickly realized that these guys are going to
be my friends.

Speaker 5 (01:04:08):
Yep, and uh, and he spoke on their behalf. It
was a big day and y'all didn't even mention it.
And I'm a little surprised by it, because I think
we all in agreement.

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
We like def Leppard. You beat us to it on this.
You did, Yeah, you didn't look at you with something. Well,
I just like we surely they'll bring it up Friday.
Oh they didn't. Didn't bring it up over the weekend,
didn't bring it up to day. And so I started
thinkingtty much. I just don't know. And you were correct,
I did not. How do you feel the fact that
the fact that Joe Elliot says, I'm not on color
my hair. I'm gonna keep it. I'm going great, I'm

(01:04:37):
gonna keep it long. It's just gonna be great, right, Yeah.
I think that's cool.

Speaker 5 (01:04:42):
Yeah, and uh, And you know they He went on
to talk a lot about the band and the founding
guitarist Pete and all that, and the late great Steve Clark. Okay,
and so they he mentioned all them, and but it
was a big moment.

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Did you realize that Steve Clark died? Right, that's what
he mentioned. Peach still alive and he was kicked out
of the band. Yeah, he did the first two albums.
Do you know who replaced Steve Clark in the band?
Speedy do what?

Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Now?

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
Do you know who replaced Steve Clark? Don't google it?
I who replaced Stephen Steve Clark? No, No, he's been
with him a long time. But he's the only one
is not original about Campbell? What's his first name? Is
it Vi, Vivid, Vinian or something? Let me ask you this.
You know so much? Where did he come from?

Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
Who?

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Who was he first famous for playing with?

Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
Uh, White Snake? I think he was in White Snake,
but he originally.

Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
Yeah, I knew, you knew that ideal. Yeah, that's what
you're gonna say, right, you're right.

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
He also was in White Snake. Yeah, a lot of
folks don't know that. But those of you that have
been out to see def Leppard Current, do they hold up.
I've seen a lot of video of it. Yeah, they sound,
they sound pretty good.

Speaker 4 (01:06:01):
Reviews of the show seem to be good, and I
haven't seen any just sad footage like that. That's how
I tend to find out when the band is just
past their prime. You just sad footage of them goes
viral on social media.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
And look, they're still playing big places and they are.
The fact that, you know, the gray hair that they're embracing.

Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
And the fact that Phil Collin at his age still
plays shirtless. I know, all buffed up Phil Collins.

Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
It's Phil Collins.

Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
No, that's a different one. Oh different, he's talking about
Phil Collin. Yeah, I gotcha, it's I mean he still
plays shirtless, Yes he does. Maybe, I mean seventies. It's
a big dam shirtless. I mean right.

Speaker 5 (01:06:48):
So the Death Leopard is one of those bands where
you can really put them on shuffle and go.

Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
All right, I'm good. I've been around a long time.
Greg's Madams for for some reason, you're are you still
match yourself for liking Hysteria the album? Well, I'm not.
When I now that I look back at the time,
I liked it a lot, But now that I look
back and watch it all, it's the least of my
favorite records by them. And would you I'm talking about

(01:07:14):
the Big three and your favorite is High and Dry.
High and Dry followed by Power Romania, followed by power Mania,
and then I guess go Hysteria. Yeah, because after that
I kind of lost, you know, right now, the new music,
you know, even during the times when they were when
they were down, when the music industry was a little giffy.

Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
Uh bringing on the heartbreak, Greg off of High and
Drive forgot.

Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
The whole High and the whole High and Dry record
is great. Yeah, because it's two guitars. We got a
little too overproduced for Hysteria. Cheap Trick played in Oxford, Alabama,
last night, but I knew they were coming. I didn't
know when def Leppard saw them last year. They were fantastic,
nast They played at the new Amphitheaty here in Birmingham.

(01:07:57):
I don't know why I didn't go. Why didn't you?
I don't know, just a few months ago. But yeah, yeah,
y'all realize that that, you know, I'm I just can't
do the shows like that. But I'm now having to
go to one and because I'll be honest, I have
no desire. It's just such a hasse. I'm going to
see Paul McCartney, Lord Willie and You're going to a

(01:08:18):
place it's not at all crowded Atlanta. I'm going to
an easy place to maneuver, Atlanta. Thanks, Paul. Would have
it killed you to come over to Birmingham? Yeah, Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (01:08:27):
It's like take Peach Street to Peach Avenue, past Peach Alley,
then you will go take a left on South Peach
and take a right on North Peach.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Peach.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Hey, good looks, Jack.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
Could y'all mix it up down here a little bit?
All your Peach names.

Speaker 2 (01:08:41):
And then prior remaining or Greg, you can't forget Billy's
Got a gun. Billy's Got a gun.

Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
That's a great song. Great song, A little different. You're
thinking Janie's got It's Billy and Billy both had a gun. Well,
you got the song.

Speaker 5 (01:08:57):
I just kind of wrapping up my music talk. Oh wow,
I saw where John Lodge died too.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Who in the ORMs that with the Moody Blues have not? Okay,
you really are deeper if the members of the Moody
Blues are Yeah the movie, You've come a long way
the Moody Blues. There's nothing desirable.

Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
He was eighty two, but he died last Friday, and
y'all hadn't mentioned it, So no, I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
Not up on the Moody Blue. I didn't like the
Moody Blues. Don't wan anything to do with the Moody Blues.
He and Jason, I'm zero Moody Blues. Jan Hayward, I
think is sixty we can all, we can all.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
I think it's sixty six.

Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
We can all google. Okay, I'm just don't make it knowledgeable. Ada,
did you like the Moody Blues at all?

Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
I'm looking up those songs right now and I'm trying
to think of what's.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
What the song on the popular hit and we were
coming up.

Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Nights in White Satins, that weird, weird song. That song
I'm trying to think of which one I know?

Speaker 6 (01:09:51):
Is it Tuesday Afternoon?

Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
Yeah? Probably way too long? All of them are way
too long. All the dreams just to thing.

Speaker 3 (01:09:57):
That's that.

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
I'm just a thing. Yeah, I don't think I don't.

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
I bet it's one of those bands like you play
it and you're like, oh, yeah, I know this.

Speaker 6 (01:10:06):
Yeah, that's probably what they fall into.

Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
All right, we'll be back.

Speaker 3 (01:10:13):
Greg.

Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
I'm glad I didn't see that our speedy They said
that that Phil Collin made an appearance on Huckabee several
years ago, and Huckaby played bass on Poor Some Sugar.

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
He did not that's worse than Brett Bear doing the
rap what he did?

Speaker 8 (01:10:31):
Burger Show, Haybird, Chybird, Hayburge. How's everybody, We're good?

Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
I was in the Vox seats on Friday along with
my husband and two friends slash former employees. I just
want you to know that we had the best time.
Thank you for allowing us to be there with you guys.
You made it such a fun atmosphere. I hope none
of us were guilty of being a bit.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
Many.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
It was almost like an out of body experience to
be randomly chosen to be in the Burgess Ball battle
and winning and getting the opportunity to spend the wheel
of bundles, bits and bucks that before Friday I was
only able to look longingly at when I watched the
show on YouTube. Winning the five hundred dollars was just

(01:11:28):
a cherry on top. Seriously, the whole experience had me
on cloud nine all day. Thank Thank you guys for
all you do for your witness for Christ. Keep up
the good work and let me know if you ever
need someone that will run people to the bathroom because
we will uh, we'll just work for laughs. Because hey,

(01:11:49):
let me tell everybody out there, they're not exaggerating that
bathroom is a long way away. It's a trip. It
is a trip. I've come to the conclusion. If you remember,
this was the one that won the money said one
time she disliked the former show so much she would
say that friends don't let friends listen to Rick and Bub.
You remember that, yes, she says, I will now say this,
friends actually do let their friends listen to the Rick

(01:12:12):
Burgess show. There you go, So there you go. And
by the way, I would like to apologize that I
put an emoji in my email. I know, Rick, you
hate that. This comes from Brandy, so she can get
away with Yeah, yeah, a female sitting emoji is fine?
Can I say that?

Speaker 4 (01:12:28):
That was That edition of Burgess Ball was the biggest
body just discrepancy we've ever seen. I think I'm not
trying to be rude to anybody involved, but that was
one of the smallest women I've ever seen play the
game and one of the largest men I've ever seen
play the game.

Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
It was anytime you got a powerlifter standing beside I
thought it was.

Speaker 4 (01:12:48):
It looked like I don't know what it was like,
butterbean versus olive oil from Popa.

Speaker 9 (01:12:57):
It was.

Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
It was very funny and olive one.

Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
That woman probably weighed one hundred pounds and that man
actually weighs.

Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
Yes, yes, he's gone. Yeah, she would have never survived it.
He looks like you know these celebrities always have these bodyguards. Yeah, yes, celebrity.

Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
It was like the mountain from Game of Thrones took on.
I don't know who, right, Gumby or something. I don't
I'm sorry, I don't know. I'm just struggling.

Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
It was amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Yes, it was visually amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
You should have stood with him, yes, right in. Yeah,
it's almost like you were watching something you like. I
don't even think this is happening.

Speaker 3 (01:13:33):
Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:13:33):
Yeah, it was great though.

Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
Man, do we love hanging with the studio audience when
y'all come in and you guys build us up.

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
It is amazing. Thank you so much. Hey, bird Hay birge,
this is because I predicted Pittsburgh to beat Florida State. Okay,
hey bird Hay Birds, dang, you stay out of Florida,
stay out of college football, leave us alone. However, you
can still come hang at thirty eight if you want
love you guys and love the show. Seriously, Come on, dude,

(01:14:01):
come on, dude. Look, you know when I when I
see these things, I just I just make a prediction.
I mean whatever, I understand. You have another audio clip?
Is this the one involving the big pumpkin? Uh? Yeah,
it's kind of giving it away, but yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
It was.

Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
Yeah, we have to the story on its own was
plenty here pull me down without us even having to guess. Yeah,
it gets chaos.

Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
We have a a loose which I know Greg loves
any kind of blow up inflatable. Oh yeah, we have
a loose inflatable Halloween pumpkin, and and.

Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
The and it kept going away. And when I went
to gravit over here, it's a golf. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:14:50):
We're trying to deplete it.

Speaker 7 (01:14:51):
We keep pulling up.

Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
Oh my gosh, we're currently struggling.

Speaker 3 (01:14:55):
With it right now.

Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
That's in Parma Heights, Ohio.

Speaker 5 (01:15:02):
A couple of cops had a wild police chasing a
giant inflatable Halloween punk pumpkin that was blowing around a
neighborhood and they couldn't hone it in.

Speaker 1 (01:15:12):
They couldn't. The boy they were struggling, Yes, really struggling. Yeah.
They when a big pumpkin gets away from you. And
what about if it's your pumpkin and you've got the
inflatable pumpkin. It's one thing for your dog to get
down in somebody's yard to miss the mulcha right, what
about when you're giant pumpkin starts rolling it? You thought
that you talked about the homeowner association. You haven't fit.

(01:15:32):
I mean, the giant pumpkin just bouncing around through the
neighborhood and they can't seem to get it stopped. They had,
did you hear me? He's like, we don't know how
to deflate this thing.

Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
Yeah, yeah, they could not. They couldn't figure it out.
They were struggling.

Speaker 4 (01:15:45):
They finally shoved it into the back of the police
car and they said, you have the right to remain spooky, right, anything.

Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
You say or will be held against you, and you
may get a trick instead of a tree.

Speaker 5 (01:16:00):
How about how about the old wind when they decide
something up and we've seen and sadly some people have
been hurt before these gust of winds. Yes, and they're
just flying all over the place, or a tent city
where tents are getting shot everywhere. It's a mess, man.
But this one they picked it up. The wind did it,

(01:16:22):
picked it up and was just blowing it all over
the neighborhood. They couldn't they could get If.

Speaker 1 (01:16:25):
You're going to go inflatable and a lot of your
inflatable people, oh yeah, yeah. I'm not talking about the
birthday party. I'm talking about those that are the ones
that are little figure in We will decorate, decorate with inflatables,
and there's some big ones out there. It's big ones.
But when you go to the inflatable, you better have
it down. You better have it locked down because un inflatable,

(01:16:45):
as you just saw, will take flight. It will want
you want to check, you want to check the forecast
for sure. Where you all on being inflatable people, that's
a big Commitmentre's a lot of community going to be
that committed. I don't think i'd ever be inflatable guy.
It's a lot to keep. That's a lot. Got to
store it, some wearing to store it. What about these
multiple do you take it down and keep blowing it
back up and stay up all the time, the big

(01:17:06):
decisions they lay down. The day come up and the
big decisions.

Speaker 5 (01:17:09):
There is one down close to where the farm is rick, uh,
and their whole for I don't you can hardly see
the grass. There's so many inflatables. And but during the day,
to your point, Greg, they're all just flat. Yeah, and
then they come alive at night. Those people got a
bunch of garbage bags.

Speaker 3 (01:17:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17:25):
Are we doing Yeah? During the day, you just have
a lot of rubber laying in your yard. Ye, money's
clean that up. Oh, we'll be right back. Question all right,
So let's talk about uh, you know, Kamala Harris. This

(01:17:46):
is just funny. How is she doing well? I mean
I think she thinks she is. And well, she's got
a new book out which is now now. Now watch this.
She's going to clearly be asked by m S NBC
whether she's talked to Joe Biden about his cancer deal
and all that. She's gonna say an answer that makes

(01:18:11):
no sense, and then she's gonna sound like she finally
decides on an answer, and then there's a follow up question,
and then she contradicts the answer she just gave.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Oh wow, And then she tries to say, oh, okay,
So how what you do?

Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
Because think about it. If you're going to try this exchange,
ms NBC talks to Kamala Harris. You, hey, buckle the
tin strap because you gotta work hard. See if you
can follow this.

Speaker 11 (01:18:42):
I want to get to some news that just came
out today with President Biden. His said that he is
going to now and start doing radiation for his prostate cancer.

Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
Have you talked to him about what I called him earlier?
How's he doing?

Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
I have not talked to him. I just left him
after I heard the new.

Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
On the event.

Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
At the event, I listen.

Speaker 4 (01:19:08):
I think Joe Biden is a fighter.

Speaker 1 (01:19:10):
Yeah, she's about to give it up. And then she
left a measure left talked to him. What you mentioned?
My staff called his people and then you just said
that she's been an interviewed by Bubble.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
What's raggedy in doing?

Speaker 3 (01:19:32):
What is that?

Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
Okay? I got to hurry up and get the down today.
So I did wish I had that hair? Can you
give us some day? So didn't she say?

Speaker 9 (01:19:42):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:19:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:19:43):
No, Yeah, you want to get to some news that
just came out today.

Speaker 11 (01:19:48):
President his spokesperson said that he is going to now
and start doing radiation for his prostate cancer.

Speaker 1 (01:19:55):
Have you talked to him?

Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
I called him earlier?

Speaker 1 (01:19:59):
Yeah, he doing.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
I had not talked to him.

Speaker 1 (01:20:01):
I just left him my message after I had so really,
you know, anybody thinks she called it doll like I said,
somebody called him. He clearly screened her. Just so don't
answer that. Please don't answer that center to voicemail. Right, So, so, anyway, I.

Speaker 2 (01:20:21):
Hope to never talk to him again, is really what
she should say?

Speaker 3 (01:20:24):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
Sure, I blame him for my loss?

Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
Right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:20:28):
What what does she call it? The closest election.

Speaker 1 (01:20:31):
Of the twenty first century? Yeah, that's really odd having
fun with the with the the mainstream media or the
far far left media, which you're one of the same.
Here's NBC, the actual big channel, on video three. They
go to the border. Uh, and they're going to be

(01:20:51):
disappointed because things have really changed under Trump. It's like
all of these cities where now these citizens are going, look,
y'all can be matt, y'all want to we just want
to be safe. And what's happening is is a game changer.
But here's NBC going to the border and they seem
a little shocked about how much different it is when

(01:21:14):
you actually start, you know, enforcing the actual laws that
we have.

Speaker 7 (01:21:19):
Here, we get Trump says he secured the border.

Speaker 1 (01:21:22):
Nobody's coming into our country. Now we have the border
totally stopped.

Speaker 7 (01:21:25):
We're here in Texas to see what those changes look
like on the ground.

Speaker 9 (01:21:28):
We've got the most controlled border we've ever had in
the history in my lifetime in the Border patrol, and
we're going to continue getting there.

Speaker 12 (01:21:34):
In Eagle Past, Texas, during the Biden administration, more than
two thousand migrants crossed into the US in a single day,
but now under President Trump's policies, officers.

Speaker 7 (01:21:45):
Encounter just twenty migrants a day here. So the last
time I was in Eagle Pass was two years ago,
almost to the date, and I saw more migrants crossing
at a single point in one day than I had
and at that point nine years of covering immigration. They
were cutting through this barbed wire here and coming across
the Rio Grande, sometimes with parents holding their children on
their backs. They cross the water. We saw a lot

(01:22:06):
of rescues. We saw people bleeding as they come came
under this barbed wire right here, and then we saw
hundreds gather under a bridge. They were taken in, processed,
and then released either to Ice or elsewhere to pursue
their asylum claims. Now, it's a total change.

Speaker 9 (01:22:22):
People aren't making taking that risk to come across because
the end of catch and release is it a turn
in itself. And then with the level of prosecutions we're
doing for smugglers and for those inner the country illegally,
you add that added to terrence.

Speaker 7 (01:22:34):
We've been out here half the day now, haven't seen
a soul. We patrolled the river, haven't seen anyone there either.
What we're seeing and what we're hearing from the border
patrol chief and the agents on the ground here, is
it Anyone who crosses now is arrested, prosecuted, and turned
back over into Mexico. You simply cannot cross through here
anymore and claim asylum, no matter what your claimants.

Speaker 1 (01:22:57):
Wow, what a concept to keep seeing is actually low
in order seems to go hand in hand, so it
does bring order when you enforce the laws that you have.
That nice. What a what a concept, y'all? Two thousand
years that baby.

Speaker 5 (01:23:17):
Right, Wait a minute, it's going to come in confused
American Wait a minute, a minute, Wait just one minute,
Wait a minute.

Speaker 8 (01:23:25):
You mean to tell me that if you actually enforced
the law, it brings order happened.

Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
So, uh yeah, I mean, how's that hire? That's very good?

Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
Good?

Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (01:23:38):
Were actually lower than normal. It's uh, it's an area
of concern, but we're working on targeted y'all.

Speaker 4 (01:23:46):
Two thousand, two thousand a day, that's just that's not
the whole border. That's just Eagle Pass, Texas. That's just
that one little spot. So if you do two thousand
times three hundred and sixty five in one year, that's
seven hundred and thirty thousand people coming through this one
almost a million people coming through this one.

Speaker 6 (01:24:04):
Town in Texas.

Speaker 2 (01:24:06):
That's just one town.

Speaker 6 (01:24:07):
That's just one spot.

Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
We're not talking about the whole border.

Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
So so really, punishment is a deterrent. So if you
think you come here and you'll be caught and released,
you probably come. If you think you come across and
you're captured and prosecuted and either put in jail or
sent back, you won't come. Now what a wow? Thats something,
And yeah what about that Your eyes gonna get stuck

(01:24:29):
that way one day? Well, you know that's anybody's eyes
ever really know? Actually like that there was like a
documented case. But can you cross your eyes? I can't
just try it.

Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
That's not very good. That's not really good. And I'm still.

Speaker 1 (01:24:48):
Scared from what they told me when I was kidding.
I can cross one and leave the other one straight.
I don't like it. I remember, I remember, like it
seems like when I was a kid and the principals
up giving a speech about somebody making that it'll it'll stick.
That's that's not true. Well, scared, science actually has hurt

(01:25:10):
your eyes? Scared me? Oh wow, can you pull them
both together to.

Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
Get him?

Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
Craig, That's that's not true. It's not true.

Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
Yeah, I can do all kinds of things.

Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
Always feel bad for those kids that do have that.

Speaker 6 (01:25:28):
We've seen that before.

Speaker 5 (01:25:30):
I've always been jealous of the people that can raise
one eyebrow and the other one.

Speaker 1 (01:25:34):
I can't. My tongue I can't do in those.

Speaker 3 (01:25:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:25:36):
I can't do that either. Yeah, I mean I just
keep my butt, can I do?

Speaker 3 (01:25:42):
What do you do?

Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
Hey, Jim Carrey, watch out.

Speaker 3 (01:25:47):
What you're doing.

Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
You're winking, but I think you're just blinking and you
go back and forth. You know, the ones that can
go back and yeah, that was so cool. You can't
do nothing.

Speaker 4 (01:25:57):
Jim Carrey said he would sit in the mirror and practice,
and that's how he became the rubber faced man. That is,
he is talented.

Speaker 1 (01:26:05):
Am I doing it? You're just looking around? You knows,
my squatch have come a long way. Yeah, especially when
you top of the hour, get your toes pointed out
a little bit. Sure, watch and watch you're with there speeding,
be right back.

Speaker 9 (01:26:26):
M h.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
If I told you that the new records have come
out and the new rankings of drive through, Speed and
and Chick fil A has been toppled from the number
one spot on speed. Who do you think knocked him off?
I know speed? You know I'm not going to produce
You pulled the story. Uh good, good guess.

Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
I was going to guess, but then I googled it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
But my guess was right? Would you google it?

Speaker 6 (01:26:57):
Well, my guess was right? I was right before it.
How do we know that car moves in my mind?

Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:27:03):
Taco Bell? He Taco Bell? Not where I live, they said, Actually,
they said, actually not mine. Taco Bell won two awards, uh,
the fastest drive through and also customers fastest run to
the bathroom. After consuming Taco Bell, I like, ye, let
me tell you, ibs and Taco Bell do not go together.

(01:27:25):
I think I don't want to commercial. Chick fil A
still wins overall satisfaction, but not spirit speed. Taco Bell
knocked them all.

Speaker 5 (01:27:33):
I will say Chick fil A probably the only place.
If you see, you know, ten to fifteen cars, you're like.

Speaker 1 (01:27:39):
I'm not bothered by that.

Speaker 5 (01:27:41):
But if I see more than three or four at
certain places, are like, there ain't no way I'm going.

Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
Once they get the people on foot out there, they'll
row you right through that. Okay, Yeah, you're pulling it
up to a drive through. It's not Chick fil A.
You're pulling up to the drive through. It's not Chick
fil A. How many cars do you drive on four
so verse? Four years? One at the speaker, yeah, three behind,

(01:28:07):
especially if if they always seem to get two blocked
or act like they're mad and pull up on the
other end. My favorite is when I get to the
window and they're mad at me that they work there.
I know, I'm just ordering food. That's funny.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
I'm sorry I ruined your day by coming to the product.

Speaker 1 (01:28:23):
Of course, I'm not believing in the stats because I
know they manipulate them. What about do you need a
car to be at the window getting food and then
then people in line? Or if is it worse if
you see them in line and nobody's at the window.
Oh if nobody's at the window, that I don't feel
good about it. No, I like somebody this has successfully

(01:28:43):
has done it. I know we always that's true. I
remember some of my longest drive through. I think maybe
my longest might be twenty minutes. Oh wow, that's tough.
That's tough anybody everytes I don't know if I can
make one. And then they got the drink and then
they got the drinks wrong. I love that anybody ever

(01:29:04):
got out of line went inside and said, I'm sorry,
I got to have my foot. I've done that to
pull up and I'm rotten. I'm just riding away out there.
Have you ever pulled up and just go forget a thing?
To have my money and lead because you've already paid,
you know, I haven't saying you're so frustrated you go.

(01:29:25):
I don't care. They can have my money. I absolutely have.
I'm out of here. I have. Well, yours does not
surprise me, surely mine doesn't surprise you.

Speaker 3 (01:29:33):
Have you ever?

Speaker 1 (01:29:35):
I just started looking for another drive there.

Speaker 5 (01:29:36):
Now, I will say this again, if we're just being honest,
I have ordered and said in line, and then finally
I said, and that's it, I gotta go, and then
just pulled out of line.

Speaker 1 (01:29:47):
Said I'm going. But if they've got your money, you
ain't leaving. No'm I'm gonna go in there and figure
out what's going on, right I actually I actually went in.
This absolutely happened. It was and it was horrifying. Everybody
was hollering for someone to save the day, like Ader
does on family restaurants. I went in and I said,
I don't even care what it is. I really don't.

(01:30:07):
What's back there that's ready, Yeah, that's what we had.
We are all sitting out here. Nothing's happening. I don't
even care. I no longer want my order. I just
want one of those whatever it is that's sitting right there,
just get it. Just give me food. And they did.
I said, I said, we're good. I'll just see here's
some hash around. Yeah, and a shocker.

Speaker 3 (01:30:29):
It was uh.

Speaker 1 (01:30:30):
When I got out there, I was so thankful with
in the fish sandwich. Yeah, I made fast food and
fish sandwiches just don't get along. I just can't. I
can't marry it every now and then. There was a
day when I was much more, you know, more willing
to be a daredevil in the drive through. Those days
are over.

Speaker 3 (01:30:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30:45):
And a fish sandwich you gotta watch play with fish? Yeah,
be careful what you going for fish? I want to
go to the places that's what they do is all
it's fish.

Speaker 3 (01:30:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30:54):
Now you know if it ends up being the fried
chicken sandwich, I think, how can you mess that up?

Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
Now? I will?

Speaker 1 (01:31:00):
This is the worst drive food I think where I
live is Captain D's. That's the worst. I'm not saying
all of them in the world, but one you go
to not either a the grill's not working. I've had that.
The grill work they used, they don't even use it
for the grilled fish. They do have a grill. I
did not know. I wouldn't eat grill fish at Captain

(01:31:20):
d Anything. Well, good thing because a lot of times
the grill's not working, dropping dropping in that old I'll
eat that. Terry and I experienced something the other day
that I don't think you'll have, and that was a
slow Chick fil A.

Speaker 5 (01:31:32):
Interesting, Yeah, I don't think. I'm not gonna say where,
but you think it may be a fake one maybe,
But I'm like, wow, they're really really hurting right now. Really,
I guess maybe they got behind. I can't imagine how
hard it is to work in there and keep up
with everything.

Speaker 1 (01:31:47):
Not not just slow by my standard, by anyone standing
slow by anyone, guys looking across the street at some
other places, and they were just people churning out. Yeah,
I havn't made the announcement. We should have gone there.

Speaker 3 (01:31:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:31:59):
Sometimes he was the weight man, sometimes the weight at
Captain D's Nuts.

Speaker 6 (01:32:04):
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
Sometimes that weight.

Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
Is the Rick Burgess show. So Evan McPherson, I had
no idea that over the weekend a sixty seven yard
field goal was made. The Packers who they were playing,
called time out when the kick was attempted the second time.

(01:32:32):
He actually did not make it and it fell short.
But he made it the first time, right, It's just
they got the time out in so you can't count it.

Speaker 4 (01:32:41):
Yes, and he bounces off the bottom of the cross
beam there seven yards and he's got theatroacy.

Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
But there you go. They came out so they called
time out. He went ahead and kicked it and it
bounced through the next time about the yard shore.

Speaker 5 (01:33:01):
For those of you that could not see that, just
picture the ball. The line of scrimmage is on the logo,
was on the logo at midfield, and.

Speaker 1 (01:33:08):
He's on the other side. All these kickers are getting
it's insane. Look where he is, Craig, If I'm wrong,
He's from Fort Payne and his brother is the kicker
at Auburn. He's had all the health problems. Am I
wrong about that? I think you're right. I think you're
right again. You know when I saw his brother who's
had all the health problems, which you got sick on
the mission trip, right, I think that's right. I wasn't laughing.

Speaker 2 (01:33:31):
Laugh about it, he said, right again.

Speaker 1 (01:33:33):
Yeah you laughed before we finish. It's all right, yeah. Yeah.
And then he has a he have a port or
a two or something. Yeah, you know, And yeah, I
mean he still looked a little frill in the game
Saturday night.

Speaker 2 (01:33:47):
Big time frail, Big time frail.

Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
They had to take out.

Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
Part of his life is large and tests and that
he almost missed that extra point too, By the way,
that was that was close the so the.

Speaker 4 (01:34:01):
Record since Evan McPherson's sixty seven yard or went in,
but the timeout was called so it didn't officially count.
Justin Tucker still holds the league record with a sixty
six yardfield goal.

Speaker 1 (01:34:14):
Yeah, heah, there you go. Can you imagine crazy and.

Speaker 5 (01:34:17):
The Cowboys kicker just he's kicking them all. He's in
the low sixties a few times.

Speaker 1 (01:34:23):
Yeah, I know you're gott to bring the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (01:34:25):
And no, because he used to kick for the Birmingham
Stallions have a kicker that's really good.

Speaker 1 (01:34:30):
Yeah yeah, and tonight I was asking me to kicker information.
Yeah right, I know this makes Greg mad, but tonight
is for the I think the third time. They're going
to have two Monday night football games. I'm sorry, and
you you brought up at Lanta. They're hosting the they're
hosting the Bills. I'm sure some people are headed that
way today. But they'll have two games tonight.

Speaker 5 (01:34:51):
The Bills are at the Falcons at six fifteen and
the Bears are at the Commander's at seven fifteen. The
first one's on ESPN, second ones on ABC.

Speaker 1 (01:34:59):
Have you seen the Cowboys thing on Netflix?

Speaker 8 (01:35:02):
I have not.

Speaker 1 (01:35:02):
I have not. I know I'm gonna I'm not going
to bring it out. It seems to be your favorite
that you've seen lately. I'm not going to bring it
up because gonna do. Won't you marry that Dallas Cowboy?
We would like to watch it? Well, I don't have
to bring it any more times. I don't think so much.

Speaker 3 (01:35:19):
I'm with you on that.

Speaker 1 (01:35:20):
I forget it. This is all history. It's not new information.
You could simply google all the facts from if you
wanted to. But it's a it's an interesting documentary, but
you know I forgot You brought the bills what made
me think of it? Four times in a row? And
the bee that four that's the time going is amazing, unbelievable.

(01:35:41):
And I didn't realize they played the Cowboys twice and
nobody wanted to see it. The ratings weren't that good.
Nobody wanted to see it. Got that off that Cowboys.
Believe me what I'm watching it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:52):
Just know.

Speaker 1 (01:35:56):
