and we are glad that you were here. Is now
speedy Greg Adler and old birds here. We'll get you

(02:33):
ready for the weekend. The box seats will be full.
Coming up a little bit later on. Yeah, there'll be
another burgess ball battle that will ensue a tide and
maybe somebody walks away with cash, maybe somebody walks away
with a bundle, or somebody doesn't win anything, but it
forces us to do a bit on the spot. So bundles,

(02:56):
bits and bucks. The old will is ready to go.
The question is are the vox seats ready? And we'll
meet them also coming up a little bit later on.
If you want to get a vox seat, not that
not that easy, but they are free, but they do
need to be reserved, and you have to just keep
paying attention one of there as a couple of ways
to do it. Be there ready to go when a
new month drops, but also keep checking because sometimes even

(03:19):
though they go quickly and we're flattered by that. But
we'll have people come up and say, hey, that was
a step out. Now I've got to go out of town. Hey,
now I've got to work. Hey now somebody's sick. Now,
hey that was the case yesterday, Rick, And they'll cancel
and then speed he'll put them right back out there. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
The guy he had three seats, and he said, you
tell them about can't have nothing. My son is sick
and I can't. I ain't bringing them up in there.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
And we got.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
So I said, well, thanks for letting me know, and
I released them. They were swallowed up within an hour.
Oh really yesterday, So somebody didn't know they were coming
til yesterday, right, they were able to grab them.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
So there you go. So I always keep checking for that.
And I want to commend the person who's not coming
because that is one of the rules that we have.
And please read the rules, you know, before you get seats.
Please please, please please don't bring sick people in here.
And if you're sick, and if you're sick, please please please,
I say please, we'd rather get with you and find

(04:19):
you another day than you come in here and get
everybody sick. So so don't so don't do that. That's right. Uh,
so guys, we do have a lot to unpack on
the program today. Speedy, you should be phelly like walking
on air. Okay, after yesterday that you got through having
your friend here, the professional golfer. I thought we all

(04:40):
behaved quite well.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
I thought you did too, and I loved good time.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
David just hung out.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Davis Thompson was fine, and uh he actually reached out
to me later yesterday afternoon and was very appreciative of
of how how fun it was and his family has
and we I didn't know this after getting to know
him a lot better. It is that his family's been
been fans for a long time and so they were
also very thankful.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
We had a good time, very good. So there we go, Adler,
you know, I know, until we to the new equipment
is installed. Uh. The YouTube option is that automobile are
multiple automobiles that we all owned where it was not
a given that you walked out there and turned that key,
especially on the cold What's how long ago it was

(05:27):
you actually had the key to turn coldbody? Remember keys? No,
I still have yeah in your vehicle. Yeah, he went,
he went with it. He went with the van. It's
all right. He's good. Some things still have keys.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
I just got I just I just got where I
can push a button to unlock it and lock it.
Like that's new, that's new to me. Yeah, yeah, he's good.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
I like the best thing ever is cranking it from
inside the house on a cold day.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yeah, so are you? Is it running okay right now? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:59):
We're setn minutes in and looking good, holding strong. Mister
chan is alive. It's a great day, guys.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Can you see him? Yeah, he's good, big green man.
By the way, somebody, somebody just said they don't want
to be a Debbie Downer. YouTube's working fine. They're not
sure about tune in Rick.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
That was one text here we go, well.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
You know lately though, well lately wait default and we
go in a minute, lately we've said that, and suddenly
it was so we'll see maybe hopefully he'll they'll just
try it again and resetting it'll be fine. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Went to best Buy yesterday picked up some more equipment
for the show, and I felt like remember on Parks
and Wreck when Ron Swanson goes into a home improvement
store and employee comes up and says, hey, sir, can
I help you find anything?

Speaker 3 (06:48):
And he goes. Ron Swanson goes, I know more than
you and just walks away. I kind of got that.
I'm in these I'm in like the connector section, and
a best Buy employee comes up to He's like you, like,
he didn't even Yeah, he was like, you know what,
I can tell the way that you're like closing your
eyes and doing wiring diagrams in your mind while you're

(07:09):
trying to figure out what stuff you need to get.
I can I can tell that I'm not here for you, buddy. Sorry.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I know.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
I'm starting to get that attitude myself when I go
in now right. Yeah, they see me and they're like,
there's a handy guy and some gun here comes he's
over there looking at Phillip said, leave it alone. He
knows what he wants. Everybody says, tune in is fine.
So well, that's good news for the guy who's having

(07:35):
a problem. I'm telling him that he just needs to nobody.
Nobody's having a tune in problem. Nobody, okay, except that
one guy or a woman or whatever it was, So
who am I to judge. I'm giving him a reassuring that.
Everybody says it's fine everything. But but you know, it's funny.
I had I had a lunch yesterday where I was

(07:57):
laying out the new world we're living in. It used
to be so simple. You just came into your little
radio show and you did radio show. I said, now
you have to come in and go, Okay, Am I
own locally? Am I own across the country? Am I streaming?
Have I got video? Have I got streaming audio? It's
the podcast capturing it. You know, it's ten different things.

(08:21):
Are the archives working? I mean, how is our internet?
It's a lotolks. And like Adler and I were talking
about because of the new business model on it too,
like he was trying to figure out a time to
stop YouTube and fix it. We both were had this conversation.
I said, you know, it's hard now because all of

(08:43):
it's monetized. So anything you stop, you're also losing money
until you get it back going again. So you know,
there was a time where some of it was just
kind of convenient, but it didn't have a big financial
tie to it. But now it all does. It all
matters now, And if you don't have it all, you

(09:03):
have a tough time. You're gonna have a tough time
when the bills coming. Yeah, so so there you go.
By the way, tune in is fine. Thanks for thanks
for kicking that bed. It's fine. One something throw you too?
Does that not excite you? Yes? Does that not excite
you to see that people that that's awesome?

Speaker 2 (09:19):
That is that is very reassuring that that that platform
a lot of folks.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
You well, you and I are two ends of the spectrum.
I always think that the text means something's wrong. You
never think it means anything's wrong.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Well, now, more than more than one. It gets our attention.
But if we just get one right, then it could
be just on their end.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
I have been shocked sometimes how few we've gotten when
something was major. Yeah, and I'm like, okay, more bites
we have said. So we've looked into that.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
But it restarted, a simple restarting.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
It's up and working. Yeah, he's good.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Thanks funny, Thanks for all freaking.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Us out Florence, Alabama. He needs that because you didn't
have an affiliate anymore. You know, poor thing, poor thing.
We'll be back. Stay close. Let's wrote this is the
Rick Burgess Show, and sometime every now and then it'll

(10:14):
come up on unscreen phone calls. Is the book of Enich, Rick,
what you think about the Book of Nick. We've ever
heard about the Book of Nie, Well, you know it
says in the Book of Inning. So we take it
on the Book of Enich and Strange Encounters. So and
I think that's right out of the gate, isn't it?
Is that the first thing that we do, second thing, okay,

(10:34):
So so that will be this weekend. We do have
a very intriguing email from the audience as well, dealing
with adopting children from all over the world and how
sometimes they can be they have been exposed to some
pretty rough stuff and bring some battles into your house.

(10:54):
So those of you that are thinking of adopting children,
which is wonderful, from from other countries or really from
any system, or maybe getting into foster care, we take
on some of the spiritual components of that that you
need to kind of prepare for. So that's kind of
part of our spiritual house cleaning segment which has become
kind of reoccurring. So enjoy that this weekend, Strange Encounters

(11:17):
a brand new and then we'll talk about, you know,
has there been trauma in your home? To consecrate that
and take that back and I share a very personal
story about that. So anyway, that's Strange Encounters Episode seventeen
coming out this weekend wherever you get podcasts. And thanks
for all your feedback on that as well. So, you know,

(11:40):
not trying to brag, but you know, last week when
we talked about the college football games coming up, you know,
we picked pretty well in here as a team. And
remember we gave the upset alert of the game to
watch for the weekend and that was Florida, and of
course you know it happened. Yeah, Florida rose up and
had a big set YEP last weekend, which we all

(12:02):
kind of saw coming. We did. But I'm looking, do
we see one this weekend? Do we see one this weekend?
Do we see hey? Now, last week I had a
just a sense on the Florida game. I looked over these.
I don't have anything jumping out at me really that
I go, Hey, keep an eye on mad I think
there's some good games. I think I think Missouri Alabama

(12:26):
could be interesting.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah, yeah, I think it because it's at Missouri.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Yeah, and Missouri's undefeated and has a good football team
and they can run football, so that that that's good. Yeah.
But Alabama very good and seems to have their legs
under them. They've got their running game back, which makes
them very dangerous, and their quarterback probably playing better than
anybody else in the country at that position.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah, let me ask you a question. Oklahoma and Texas
play this weekend.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Oh, Texas.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Texas is now out of the top twenty five. Oklahoma's
number six. So would that being upset or is it?
I mean, it is Texas and Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
That's a great question.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
So but because I mean, how do you feel about
that game?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Just does Texas.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Rebound and lead Oklahoma? But is that an upset? I
mean on the top twenty five, but preseason I wouldn't
call an upset.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
I guess corner of the rankings it is. Yeah, I believe.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Yeah, I mean, but I I personally wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
I think Texas is just you know, I don't want to.
I don't want to upset Nate and the other Oklahoma
fans out there. Yeah, I think six is a little
lofty for Oklahoma. Yeah. Is their quarterback back? If he's
not A good question, is he back? I don't think.
I know that's a big difference, by the way. If

(13:44):
he's not back, I like Texas in that game a lot.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah, And you know what OU's materiir is pushing to
play versus Texas.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
That means he's not gonna be one hundred percent yeah's.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
And you know, I mean, I don't know Patrino at Arkansas.
I don't know what the dynamics are there, but they
played Tennessee this weekend.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
The fact that he's the head coach at Arkansas, and
it's just kind of kind of creepy at Tennessee.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
But I mean, hogs are pretty bad. I don't know
that they're that bad really, Yeah, I mean, they just
they just can't they can't pull off the wind. But
they don't look like the Yeah, it's just let's put
Notre Dame to the side there, because that was that
was That wasn't very close.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
No, it was not. You're right, but but I but
I would say I will agree with y'all, especially when
you get a little something new, and hey, I would
say that they could be dangerous in that Tennessee game. Yeah,
so keep an eye on that one. Even though I
think I actually disagree with some of you. I think
Tennessee will win that, but I agree with you that

(14:46):
you need to keep an eye on and in Texas
A and M. Y'all don't know what to think of Florida. No,
I don't know what. I don't know what to think
of Florida. At UH they're playing at Texas A and M.
So that that's huge for Texas A and M. It
is at Texas A and ALCOHOL. That's a that's a
tough place to play.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
And we were talking to Davis Thompson, who was in
here yesterday, who's went to Georgia, huge Georgia Bulldogs fan,
and and he even agreed, all fair, You never know
about Auburn.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
You never know.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Alburn have that one game that you know they pulled
something out.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Never know. Auburn's a different team at home. Weird things
happen there. If they can get the quarterback play to
be more than I can take off and run with
it and I can throw the ball down the field.
If Auburn can't throw the ball down the field and
keep giving up all these sacks, and I'm not blaming
the offensive line for all of it. I'm with you, Greg.

(15:40):
I think he holds a ball too long. And they've
got great receivers, they really do. But I think Georgia
is just got They're just too solid on both sides
of the ball. That's that's a tough road. Auburn's got.
The offense has got to do something. They can't beat
Georgia without being able to score. I mean, I don't

(16:00):
I know that sounds, you know, so elementary, but you
know they got to score more. They got to keep
they gotta help. They got to make some first downs.

Speaker 6 (16:09):
Man.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, I mean so so, I don't know putting the
defense nothing. Indiana Oregon. Uh, I've never seen a coach
any more confident than Indiana's. Oh yeah, he owns me.
I watched him of his highlights yesterday. He'll just I mean,
he is a new coach, he is a character. Yeah.
Of course, Orgon really good and they handled them last year.
I'm going with Indiana. Uh you like Indiana? That at Oregon?

(16:33):
YEP College game Day? Okay, all right, seven verses three
Ohio State Illinois. Anybody believe in Illinois.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
That's an early game on Fox.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Anybody that beat down they got Yeah, still bounded good,
but well they got beat. Uh. Here's the I will
say this. I think that pitt is gonna beat Florida
State what.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Yeah, how far as they skid started out so high
and everybody fire, that.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Would be my upset of the week. And that's a
that's a mild upset as far as that's twenty five Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh done ranked. Uh So, I don't know. I think
we're going to find out a lot about both Alabama
and Missouri with an eleven o'clock start at Missouri, Yeah,
because but Missouri's got a good football team. But Missouri

(17:19):
always has that good football team that can't quite beat
a really goin nine ten games. Yeah, but they can't
quite beat a really good team. You know that.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
And so watch I haven't watched a ton, but I
have caught a little bit of their games.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Man. They can run the ball. They great, They really
really can.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
Of course I had a running back. That's just something else.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Of course, Alabama's you know, front pretty good.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Oh yeah for John Ganning, Yeah, sure are, but large
that's that's gonna be a good game.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
I think.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
By the way, the big lineman throw a pass.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
By the way, has Alabama's the only thing done? Yeah?
Has Alabama's offensive lineman? Has he become the college version
of the tush push? I mean, is he impossible to stop.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Shortyard so huge.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
All right, there's there's the there's the big games for
the weekend, and so enjoy those. And our opinion on
them doesn't mean a whole lot. So we'll be back.
We watch enough to be dangerous. Thanks for being with us,

(18:30):
all right. I got a lot of you asking for
this website, so I'm going to give it to you
here pretty quick. So hopefully you've got something to write
it down this time, because you're right. I mean, there's
a lot of you responded to this because college is
a major investment and it's really important you do your research.
Be sure you're not throwing that money away. I got

(18:52):
some great news for you. There's a free, easy to
use resource that does the work for you, and it's
called Christian College Guide dot com. There it is Christiancollegeguide
dot com. It's an online directory of over two hundred
and fifty Christian colleges and universities. It's a one stop shop. Now,

now and get started today Christian college guide dot com.
You do want to create a free user profile and
get started at christiancollegeguide dot com. And today I'm thinking

(20:26):
about maybe getting involved in Greg's world with mom today
He's he's saying they've moved their shopping day to today.
I think I'm going to go the ballgame with Greg.
Didn Oh, I think I'm going Okay, Yeah, And it's not.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Does that mean that you're going to be in that
in in the afternoon world?

Speaker 1 (20:44):
What it can be. I mean, I got a few
things here at the office. That's scoring how quick Greg
gets to it. Uh, But you know I wouldn't mind
being involved. Maybe you know, and but but the question
is do you think if I get involved in the
grocery run, I actually will come off bad more than good.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
If you can calm down, you'll be fine, if you'll
just flow and go. But I mean, before you know it,
you're going to be trying to organize the grocery run.
And and you know, and so if you know you
can't do that, then you just let it.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Have were talking about a full run, Greg, or just
a couple of items, well, corner Mom, just a few items,
But a lot of times that ends up being a
full buggy. Okay, it's never fine. It's never just a few.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Outs, see what he said, Which is fine, See that's
what you have to do. But suddenly you're the manager
of the grocery store and figuring out where things are
stocked and how how they need to be run.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
What's our goal? And then and that's one thing even
my wife talks to me about. She goes everything we do.
We don't have to lay out the goal and then
the strategy to accomplish it. Yeah, there's no timeline. And
I'm like, well, that's just how I live. People don't
live like that. You are to see me yesterday, I
was even by myself when I was achieving ghost checking

(22:06):
them right off. Well, I mean it's like because I
don't know, but I know, are y'all the same way?
And I know we're not gonna be those people that
suddenly act like there were, you know, these super workout
people when we never been. But we are doing a
little bit better. Okay, we're all trying to do a
little bit better. But on the days that I know
I'm actually gonna do what would be called this is
a workout, Okay, until I'm past it, it's like it

(22:29):
hangs over me like a black, black cloud. It's like
I'm like, I can't get to the other side of it.
When when I get to the other side of it,
the I'm like, all right, so that's that's behind it.
That's done. Check check and I and I will say
that I'm that way on anything like this, see what
I would be thinking about. And this is the thing
y'all tried to help me with and it hasn't worked.

(22:50):
But I'm at the point now where I'm hearing what
you're saying. I just haven't applied it yet, and so
I've become like most of our society. I hear it
and I even understand it. I just can't quite apply
it well. But and that is that Mom enjoys going
to the grocery store. It gets her out of her
little townhouse out into the world. It's good for her

(23:12):
to move around a little bit. And in my mind,
I hear y'all saying that, but I can't apply it.
And it's like, I still think this is something that
we're trying to get off our list and that we're
trying to get done, and you can't. It's me against me,
and I kept winning.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
It's like a walk in the park. I know I
can't get it. It's not like a hassle to her.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
I hear it, and I even agree with you, and
I can't stop somewhat, yeah, because y'all would be halfway
through the grocery store and she would turn to you
and go And we're in a hurry because you know
where we're going. What are we doing? So we have time.
I can't take me a minute to get the right
side of mind. But I got it.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Kick off is not it's four hours away. It's I'm
just thinking thinking, Uh, we're to eat prior. We're not
in a hurry, so we have to we have to know.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
I'm with you on that I love watch bree game.
That's the best time. If you're looking for somebody of
the go game early with you. I'm right here I
to go. You know why, I'm going to the band
walk in? Do you know what? You know what I'm
doing early traffic? That it's the easiest way.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Would you rather sit in traffic or sit in the
stadium in the stadium all day long? However, going to
the grocery store at twelve thirty it doesn't affect that
at all.

Speaker 1 (24:30):
That's the key. Good. I don't know how all right,
somebody said, somebody said, Rick, try this, this is good.
Try this. Why don't you make the plan? The plan
is to be inefficient? Okay, and that way that is
the plan? Okay? Can you do that? So let me
let me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
What what is the what's I guess what are you
trying to accomplish by going to the grocery store with.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Greg just kind of being part of it? Then can't
you just do that? I think? So that's where you
have I guess I'm not involved in it. I'm just visiting.
That's it. Ye'll tell you what I'm gonna do when
y'all go. Let me know I'm gonna go in a
different vehicle and just meet you there and see you
in the struggling. Then they're picking up if I'm over there,

(25:16):
like getting her in the car and everything. Then suddenly
I've taken it over and I can't do that. Come on, Rick,
you know what you might want to do too while
you're there. Hey, I'm gonna I'm gonna leave you guys.
I'm gonna go grab something that I need. Right.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
He ain't doing that, and then you had to keep
up with it.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Right right, that's just I'm coming up ideas that can distract.
Here's the thing. The worst thing could happen to everybody
is to me to get my hands on that buggy. Yeah,
you know I can't touch that buggy. If I touch
that buggy, we are off to the races. Okay. I
have to hold my especially if we go to Wynn Dixie,
I have to hold myself back through the produce section

(25:52):
because she'll take it wrong. Yeah, and I had to
go Greg, it's just just let her look all right,
So you do struggle a little bit, certain you just
no the producers. It hangs up. Well, see, because you
know I'm a person that thinks The key to any
efficient trip is you gotta be careful on the front end.
And on the front end is where she is the slowest.
Well that produce area. I'm gonna flip everything. Think. Think

(26:18):
about your mom.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Think not think think I think what I said you said.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Think about your mom being able to go to the
grocery store today with two of her three kids. I know,
and and and just the joy that probably inside brings her.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
That's so don't rush that joy. That's where I'm trying
to get. Okay, what your saying is absolutely right, and
I hear it. This is the Rick Burgess Show, So
you know, we spend a lot of time here on
the show and we kind of update you on what's

(26:57):
going on with the culture. Yes, we do a lot
of funny stuff and we cut up, but we do
talk about politics a little bit and then the you know,
all the craziness that goes on out there. But some
of you probably have, like like us, thought I need
a break from all this. Well, tomorrow, on on the
eleventh of October, you could go to Share the Arrows. Now,

(27:19):
this is a great event in Dallas, Texas. If you
don't have your tickets yet, you still can get them.
It's going to be hosted by Blaze TV's owns on
Alibeth Stucky. So you're gonna have a wonderful lineup of
women who will be there, you know, leading praise in worship,
I mean the praise and worship. Francesca Batistelli. You talk

(27:39):
about an outstanding voice. Ginger Dougger will speak, a list
of Childers, Katie Fowls, Taylor Duke's of course, Alibeth Stucky
will speak. If you want to get tickets now for
you are women in your life, go to share the
Arrows dot com. Share the Arrows dot com. We we

(28:02):
talk a lot here in the New Era, look that
we're gonna try our best to stay in the real world.
This is this is getting more difficult. The world is
so hard to uh, what's real? What's not real? I'll
tell you I was so spook spooked. Was it yesterday
when Dolly Parton had to come back? Or was that

(28:22):
when when did Dolly had to tell us she was alive,
that her sister basically had made us all think she
was dying that yesterday?

Speaker 3 (28:28):
Was that yesterday, well, the day before it happened. Then
we played the video yesterday.

Speaker 7 (28:31):
Okay, okay, she real though, because we I mean part
of her and she looked to me just like she
was ready to perform, right, and and you know, and
then they and then and then they showed the a
I picture that people created a Reba McIntyre at her deathbed.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
I know that that you couldn't you could tell if
you really looked. But I mean if I didn't know,
I mean that could pop up. Well, I think it's
only gonna get worse. Here's a story today. You will
never trust video again. Do y'all remember the term seeing
is believing, not anymore, not so fast, not so fast.
You'll never trust video again once you see what am

(29:12):
I saying it? Right? Adler? Sora too? Yes, what Sora
can do. It's open AI's new video generating app. I
don't like that. They're saying it's it's mind blowing, and
many are saying terrifying.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know how it like investigators and
other people are gonna be able to determine what's real,
what's fake and stuff.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Because now Greg, I could put you anywhere. Yeah yeah, yeah,
you're right, none you can do that, and so.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Like I do, I got duped. I sent y'all a
video and I don't even know if you saw it
a direct message just for show prep of a child
standing outside a door and an alligator is coming up
to them like they're in Florida or something, and the
kid says, I'm just feeding them and the mom is
screaming trying to get to the front door. And it
looks so real, but it's a I from And that

(30:08):
was way greg.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
I wish you could see this. That was way before.
Did we had what we have?

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Then fall from megladn you're doing it again? No, I
did not. Here it is, yeah, watch this for those
of you can't look real. Look and you got to
hear the audio from it because it's like, I'm just
fiend that.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Yeah, they're getting an.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Alligator doesn't look real, right, that's not a good one.
There's nothing real about that. Well, then again you thought
megla don was guys, I did not. I did not.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
But if you just sit it on your phone and
it pops up on a real you're like, you're like.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
What you know? Well, apparently Sora too. Thinn was real.
By the way, if you think was done with the ocean.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
You like bud lights a hush.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
How about I think Greg Will will take that to
the rest of his life. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
Yeah, it was a conversation, and then he spins it
into two.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
I thought neither one of us, did you know?

Speaker 3 (31:07):
And these videos are getting weirder and weirder. Here's Michael
Jackson stealing chicken from someone. Here we go, slow me
down and.

Speaker 8 (31:19):
Go to.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
That is all. And it looked real, by the way, Yeah,
it was real. It looked real. Yeah, so apparently he
must come back. This is only gonna get better. So, guys,
so you're telling me the alligator didn't look fake.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
At first at first, but then when I sent it,
I was like, wait a minute, and then I caught myself.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Now, this Michael Jackson one did look real. But what
I'm talking you guys, are we gonna We're getting to
the point where, especially what we do for a living,
you're gonna get a video and you have no idea,
you're not whether it's real or not real, because it's
just gonna get better quality. Yes, and they're saying it's
only getting better now. Video thirteen. Here's something what is this? Adler? Yeah?

(32:02):
In fact, funny, really cool.

Speaker 3 (32:03):
Yeah, I'll play this really funny one in one second. Ky,
I've got this other one queued up. Just while we're
talking about it getting better and better and better, y'all
might well, we were just talking about how it's getting better,
and here's here's a video that shows us exactly that.
Do y'all remember the Will Smith eating spaghetti video that
we had around two years ago when AI was coming out.
We played this video on the show Will Smith Eating

(32:27):
Spaghetti and it looked weird and it looked fake, and
it looked bad. But we were like, I can't believe
this AI video isn't real. None of it is real,
but I can't believe it doesn't look real. But it's
weird that this was made by a computer. It looked bad,
it did not look good. But now we can see
this is AI now. So just in too short Wow,
in two short years, we've gone from this nonsensical, oh

(32:50):
wow weirdness to absolute photo reel. If you didn't know
any difference, you would think it's Will Smith eating spaghetti
for real.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
I'm hungry and see how much one chose Will Smith
on the left.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
It's a It's a difficult thing to make, That's why
they chose it.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
They're like all right, eating is a hard any celebrity.
I don't know why they picked him, but the point is,
look how much better it's gotten in a short amount
of time. A lot better.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
It looks fake to real. Yeah, and then that's that.
And then Greg, I think the person that was using
this AI program has been listening to the show. Because
they made the Women's Olympics in AI. You're gonna see
different events here, Greg, a beer to your husband on
the couch.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
This is genius awesome, all right.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
So there's uh, there's number washing rhythm.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
God, that's funny.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
They're washing dishes, scrubbing the glory that shines gold, Germany's
brush all over her.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
The crowd goes wild, and.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
This is all fake, y'all. The vacuum rates, guys, Yes,
this was made with.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
That's pattern with the Cannis.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
That's right on our USA accelerating on the Farlane and
Morgan push that stick back, beautiful straight lines. Already Brown's
closing in lou trying to keep pace.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
But all fake, y'all, None of these people.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
It all looks real. The background looks real.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
They're cleaning the bathroom in an event we're not going
to be able to trust anything. No, Greg, if you
had AI ability, you would have created this. Oh this
is excellent. Whoever come up with that? Right now? Michael
Jackson is still in Chickens pretty good too, it is,
But do you really alligator? So here's the thing. Imagine
what Megladamo looked like today. Wow, that was a good
four years ago.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
I didn't fell for look kind of fell for it,
kind of fell for.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
It's not going to win tonight if you keep this up.
This Sora too, thing you just showed to said is
why it's going to be so scary. So every person
in that is not real. People are not real, correct,
not just what we're making them do.

Speaker 4 (34:57):
If you look closed one with Will Smith right right,
but spaghetting.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
But that looks like a comedy skit that you just
got women to do act and and they're not actors.
They're all fake and created from nothing. Yeah that's yeah.
The whole thing is so to the point that you're
making a minute ago. If somebody wants to destroy you,
they video of they produce a video of you doing
something that you didn't do, and you're like, we didn't

(35:23):
do it. We can all playing chicken, right, and and
you're like that isn't me. So is there going to
be some way? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:32):
Yeah, someone said here investigators, they have a way to know,
they have a program or something.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Maybe they now absolutely, yeah, you can, it'll be, it'll be.

Speaker 3 (35:42):
You can analyze. You can analyze the images to say, okay,
this was this was generated by AI. Just like when
we had a photoshop coming in and being like, oh,
that's a photoshop picture. There are programs that can analyze
the image and say no, I can see where this
has been manipulated. Now, I do think this video of
the Queen of England Professional Wrestling, I think this is

(36:03):
really all that is good.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Has a climbing the fence.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
It's like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Top and as AI gets more and more. Uh, incredible
and hard to discern what's real and what's not, which
is why we work really hard to keep you in
the real world best we can. Uh. Text Nation you
mentioned this, and yeah, we actually talked about this when

(36:37):
we did when the Wednesday Bible study was in the
Book of Revelation. We talked about this and a lot
of you are picking up on it. You're absolutely right.
You know, there's a lot of things that Antichrist is
going to pull off. And when you realize some of
the deception, you think, well, how's that going to take place? Well,
I mean, you you could create anything now, and you know,

(37:00):
and one of the things that Antichrist is going to
pretend to do is to raise himself from the dead.
He's going to pretend to take a mortal head wound
that should have been you know, death on the spot
and then magically, you know, supernaturally survive the headshot or
the head wound of whatever kind it is. And then

(37:22):
of course the false prophet will legitimize him saying, look,
even Roses said from the dead and dah dah, da
da dah. And so when you start thinking with this
AI technology and special effects, faking something like that is nothing.
You know, you see the the platform being put together
where deception is going to be at your fingertips, it

(37:46):
would actually be quite easy to portray almost anything. So
that's not really a big reach because you know, reading
some of the commentaries are like, apparently it's funny to
read the commentaries because none of this technology was a
available and to read the commentary is going this will
likely be done in some sort of special effects kind

(38:06):
of thing. They had no idea how easy that would
be for you to portray something like that is real
and and not be real. So so anyway, yeah, some
of you picked up on that, and I agree with you.
I'm not saying that that's what's going to happen, but
you can certainly see how how it could happen really
really easy.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
Here's here's Hitler fighting Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
So you know there's there's I mean, it's anything you want, anything,
anything you want to generate you can't. And it can
do it in like a different style, like you can
make it photo reel, or you can do it like
an anime style, cartoon style. It can make that even
easier than it can make real life stuff. Here's a
SpongeBob being arrested. It's just yeah, it's the capabilities are amazing.

(38:56):
What used to take a movie studio millions of dollars
in months to do you can do it with a
very quick prompt. Hey have a rocket ship takeoff, A
rocket ship take.

Speaker 9 (39:09):
I heard that a rocket jacket ship take off, and
the any and the astronaut jumps out of the cockpit
and slam dunks and basketball whatever type that in give
it a few minutes, it spits it out.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
Yep. It's crazy. So if you were if you were like, uh,
if you wanted to type in, uh, let's pretend that
I had a mortal headwound, that I rose myself from
the day. You wouldn't have any problem with that. That
wouldn't be even a couple of things to touch you
on too. Uh talking about Trump, a couple of things
in play. Trump has announced Columbus Day. Is that Monday?

(39:42):
Is it coming to Columbus Day's Monday? It is? Uh,
Columbus Day is Monday. If you remember, uh, it it
turned it has turned into some hybrid of what Indigenous
people Day and oh yeah. For years we've been having
to say that, yeah, you don't. You're not allowed to
talk about Christopher Columbus and all that.

Speaker 10 (40:01):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
So President Trump wants to announce that Columbus Day is back,
So so here he is.

Speaker 10 (40:07):
In other words, we're calling it Columbus Day.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Okay, that was the press that broke out in.

Speaker 10 (40:20):
A plus, I've never seen that happen before. The press
actually broke out in applause. Good Columbus Day, We're back,
Columbus Day.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
Were back at Tagans and yeah, babe. Also the ongoing
discussion of the Nobel Peace Prize. How withou this ceasefire
which started today in Gaza? So if all of the sticks.

(40:54):
Many people said that they thought Trump would deserve the
Nobel Prize. Here is Trump talking about, well, if Obama
got one, surely, surely I'm going to get one.

Speaker 6 (41:07):
So nothing Obama got a surprised he didn't even know
what he got it. He got elected, and they gave
it to Obama for doing absolutely nothing but destroying our country. No,
he was not a good president. The worst president was
sleepy Joe Biden.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
But Obama was not a good.

Speaker 6 (41:25):
President to do something. How many months after he won
the election, then they gave the peace pressure.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
After he was elected.

Speaker 6 (41:34):
My election was a much more important electives.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
He's not wrong. You kind of want someone else to
say wrong.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Well, but he'll go ahead and say, well, this person
is not going to say anything negative about Obama. But
Fetterman is weighing in. He be surprising, he has well
they starting it's almost like when he got it, when
he got his mind fixed. He's becoming more conservative and
read off the computer. Fetterman was asked if President Trump
deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Here's his answer.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
Do you think the president deserves a Nobel Peace Prize?

Speaker 11 (42:09):
Well, I mean, if if this sticks, I think the
whole point of having a Nobel piece prizes for ending
wars and per brooning peace. And now I'm going to
make a direct appeal to the president. You know, I
hope he chooses to provide the Tomahawks to the Ukrainians too,
and give them the tools that they need to push
back against the Russia. And if he brings the Ukrainian

(42:33):
War to its end, I will be the Democrat leading
the committee for his Nobel Prize piece for ending both
these terrible wars.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Take it back, I thought you were playing early AI again,
you know, before he got it down there, still still
talking like a robot who doesn't know what.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
We got an issue, and I'm not he's got an issue.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Let's leave it at that. So we'd play the earlier
the Peace Prize.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
In the cup that yeah, and the clip we played
with President Trump referring back to Obama whening. He did
go on to say that that's not why I'm doing it.
This is I'm trying to save lives, and that's not
up to me if if they get it to me
or whatever, but I would I saw where the get
Venezuela and Liberator opposition got it today.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
I think for this year, I saw that two D
Scott Jennings on C and N gets emotional over this
regular hostage as a peace deal that brings these hostages back,
and Jennings almost takes the squal it so here.

Speaker 8 (43:41):
He is will probably go down as the most historic
moment in either of his two presidencies. Peace in the
Middle East. When those hostages do walk out, I mean
they think there's twenty that are alive. All day long.
I have been thinking about edit. Ohhell who I met

(44:01):
in Israel this summer. I was traveling there and she
is the mother of a lan Ohell. You may have
heard of Alan. He was taken hostage at the Nova
Music Festival. He's the jazz pianis they of the pianos
around the Yellow Pianos. And I will never forget meeting
with her and just the shattered life of a mother
waiting for her son to come home, and now he's

(44:24):
going to come home, and Donald Trump is responsible for it,
and I just don't think you can take anything away
from it. I don't know what Amas is going to
do in the future. I don't think we should trust
these people any farther than we can throw them. But
for the next few days when those people come out,
this is an unqualified diplomatic victory for the United States

(44:45):
of America. It's not just a personal victory for the president,
although it is enormous, But this is the power of
the United States of America when it has a president
that is capable of showing bold and pragmatic leadership on
the world stage. So I couldn't be happier. But mostly
because of my friend you did, who I met in Israel.
She's going to get her boy back.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
And there you go. Uh. So we'll see uh if
he gets to the prize or not. But it doesn't
really matter. Uh. As Scott Jennings pointed out, and and
Trump did too, there's this was done and what its
accomplished is much more important than any prize. We'll be back.
We have a lot still to discuss here today. On

(45:26):
the program, the Eagles people are trying to like the
Eagles are ruining football with the tush push goodness. I
don't know why we can why we making such a
big deal out of this. I won't let him get
in short yard. Well, apparently they ran it four times
in a row and people are screaming, is this football? Well, yeah,

(45:48):
I guess I guess it is that if you ran
any play four times in a row, it was.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
I think it's it's become rugby, though, I guess it's
what they're saying.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
Yeah, well you know what, but it really rugged me out.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
But to football it well, but I'm talking about the
way they're lined up here. I guess where it's changed
is that, you know, we got guys behind them that
that are just.

Speaker 1 (46:08):
Now back to the starting forcing the old road. But
if you allow it, I'm gonna run it, you know,
and they do it. It's they got beat But they did.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Yeah, yeah, giants looking good by the way, jack won
two games, Jackson Dart looking good. How do you see
his last name? Cam scatibo or gataboo scataboo. But yeah,
the whole touch push thing is it's interesting how many
people seem to hate it so much. It doesn't make
for incredibly exciting football. There's an argument there, Sure, there's

(46:42):
an argument. It's not it doesn't make for entertaining football,
but it's still football, I.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Think, guys, But but is this any less exciting than
the old standard quarterback sneak, that one that won the
Ice Bowl with Bart Starr. I mean, I think this
type of play has been around for a long time.
We're just allowing you to aid the runner, and that's
the part we got to fit. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
Yea three people are pushing Jalen behind him.

Speaker 1 (47:08):
So that's you. That's the part that it will change. Yeah. Yeah,
And at one time you could not aid the runner.
Let's just go back to that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (47:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
Next, Tampa Bay. You remember the big fella the rookie
tackled Desmond watching a big large out of Florida. They
got cut because he wouldn't lose the weight that he
was told to huge. Yep. Well, apparently like he was
back at practice. He's on the practice squad and and
now they say he has finally lost okay, significant weight

(47:35):
since the team cut him for being overweight. So here
this is he looks like he's lost. That a way
to go, big fellows, not a way to move around
and get better. Here you go, big man, that's it. Hey,
five six, that's what a big contract will do. Yeah. Well,
and of course you know, when you get cut, you
take it serious.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
Keep that big man.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
Well, you know what, it was one of those things
he bluffed. He called the Buccaneers luff and they said, no,
we will cut you. Yeah yeah, and they did. Now
you go to the practice squad. You better start running
now if you want to ever get back on the roster.
So so apparently that was the way. Yeah, that was
what he needed.

Speaker 3 (48:12):
I'm not trying to be rude, but y'all, he doesn't
look right when he runs. It's like watching like a
dinosaur runners. Yeah right, it's so amazing.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
He's not trying to be a sprinter. He's going to
be playing down there in the interior line if he's
got good feet and he can move and you know
he's lost weight.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
No, I'm not judging. I'm just saying it looks odd,
you know how like some very large mammals can't jump,
They can't physically jump.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Are you comparing him to a large mammal? I am
because he is a large man.

Speaker 3 (48:44):
Uh, And it so just looks it looks crazy. Good
for him. I hope he does well and wish him success.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
Now, guy can't jump.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
Now, guy can't jump. White man can't jump. Not white
guys can't jump, you know.

Speaker 4 (48:55):
And something when he was in college and he played
for the Gators that he was real huge and he
had number twenty one on it just made him look fat.
If it had been number ninety eight for some reason,
he would.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
Look maybe ten pounds less, weird, ninety nine something like
he came in twenty one. It made him look like
he was fat and he was speedy. Came in talking
about video twelve. Oh bless his heart, the Phillies lose,
Oh wow. Last night on a wild throwaway.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
The picture had the ball come back to him and
instead of just going to first for the third out,
he decided to throw it home because the bases were loaded. However,
the catcher even gets stands up and stands in front
of home pointing to first, like he just go to first,
and he throws it in, and bless his heart, he
threw it away and and the Dodgers walk it off.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
Oh yeah, if you want to, I got it.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
Yes, Okay, this breaks his Pat kirk ring. Gotta find it,
throws to the point.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Oh it throws it away. It was a one Dodgers.

Speaker 2 (50:06):
He didn't handle it cleanly, but he still had a
lot more time to go to first.

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Yeah, goes to first, And no, that's so much. The
catcher is clearly pointing, throw at the first. Yeah, just
throw at the first, buddy, get us you know the
basis or.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
It was a wild throat, yeah, Greg, Greg and I
were talking about that. You know, you got these pictures
that are throwing a hundred percent in their their arm
is just so juiced from those throws. And then when
you have to be when you have to back off
of it and be precise, sometimes you just have it
like a little bit of a dead arm.

Speaker 1 (50:45):
Been a much more natural throw. If he went it was.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
Turned around and fired it to first.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
And the season is over.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Yeah, they was, Oh yeah, yeah, it's over.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
To the hour. This is the Rick Burgess Show. Speedy
seems to be bothered by something, and uh, well.

Speaker 2 (51:10):
It's just it's the ultimate. You can't have nothing. We've
raised your hand if you've ever cracked your phone screen,
and every hand in here except for Greg.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
I haven't. Speedy. No, you shouldn't have said that.

Speaker 2 (51:25):
By the way, I know I'm doing some some work
yesterday in the garage because I'm handy light Rick, and
you know it required some bolts and some screws and
uh and uh, a couple of tools and I dropped.
I dropped one of them and it hit my phone perfectly,
the screw or the note.

Speaker 1 (51:44):
Yeah, yeah, And I don't know.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
I don't know because the size of it should not
have calls this, but it just I guess it was
the perfect angle everything. And when it hit, it's like
it was happening in slow motion. And when it hit,
it just totally shattered my phone. Man, I'm talking about
put a white line through it and everything. And I'm going, oh, no.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
You think you can get your time big enough on there.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
It's the new update, which obviously you don't have. Right,
it goes, it starts like that, and then I'll do that.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
It's like telephones.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
I get fright, it is Gregg's want me to change
his screen?

Speaker 1 (52:23):
You sure you don't have your dad's phone?

Speaker 2 (52:24):
And so so I quickly pulled up the Apple support
app and I'm like, okay, let me just see what
we got going on here. Apple store Okay, schedule, oh
crack screen, okay, schedule.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Three point fifteen. Oh that's great.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
So I clicked yeah, I'll take it. So I go
into the Apple You can't believe it. Here I go
and then they're like, hey, I got bad news, my friend.
That's a total phone replacement right there, total phone replacement.
And they said, so I got good news and bad news.
Because you have Apple Care, it's only gonna cost you
twenty nine dollars. Of course that's not free, but it's

(52:59):
not a phone, it's what I'm saying, right, And the
bad news is it's we don't have any in stock,
and it'll be probably five, five to seven days before
we have one. So now I have to live with this,
and you don't think that's driving me crazy?

Speaker 1 (53:12):
So you guys just left it. Do you realize how
much Speedy has to use this phone for scheduling and
things like that? Now every time you look down. I
don't even know how to describe it.

Speaker 2 (53:22):
It's like a I don't know, it's like a meteor
hit or some comic even I don't know.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
It's hard.

Speaker 3 (53:30):
Plus we just spoke yesterday. I know about how we're
digging our new phones because I upgraded. I had the eleven.
The eleven, I'm like, all right, what you did my
phone was actually I can't believe it was still working
that we had smashed the backside of it. But yeah,
I upgraded to and I went with orange. I'm usually
a black on black guy, but I went with orange

(53:52):
because my kids, I'll throw my phone down. I'll throw
my phone down and then go mess with my kids,
and then it's black so I can't find it. So
I went to orange. Kind of gave whatever.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
You wanted to get away from black on you after.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
You said that orange, there's the colors guys, Orange on
blue to y'all. But stee, how long have you had
that phone? A week?

Speaker 1 (54:21):
Maybe it's a little less than a month. You're acting
like that that if that was your phone, you would
keep it cracked with five years. No, no, no, I've
had I know it's bothering him. No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
This is next level crack. I've had the spiderweb kind
of and I've I've actually taught me a lesson before
and I've kept it. This one here is a white
line and it's I can't believe it even works. Even
the guy that was helping me said, I can't believe
this is things working.

Speaker 1 (54:50):
But goodness, you have one and all you dropped on
it was a screw.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
Yeah, it was like it was a bolt. It was
a big thick bolt and it hit. It's just perfect
and right there is where it hit.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Yeah, I was get mine in the pocket when I'm working.
Yeah too, got level yet, need that too, but.

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Like like we all have time to get back out
and go run and do that. And so I thought
I was going to be there for for a while,
and he was there for about fifteen minutes because he's like, hey,
be glad you got one, because we don't have any
in stock.

Speaker 1 (55:20):
It's going to be a little bit of foruse. You
can never you can't never get the time back what
it took to do the appointment. Take anybody on the phone.
Now you walk in there. That place too, and I
don't like going in there. It's a little intimidating. It's
just feels weird. I feel like I'm walking into an
episode of Sprockets.

Speaker 2 (55:35):
I witnessed a scene yesterday, bless her heart, the elderly lady.
She was just need to get some stuff done and
she couldn't remember.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
Her Apple passwords. That's nothing. I don't know, mane, you
don't know. I have no idea, no idea. That's a
good you know that that comes up in life. Some
big moments. That's a problem. But I don't maybe not
made it through this week. Why don't you get one
of Why don't you go reset it just to do
a new one? Whatever?

Speaker 4 (56:02):
Okay, just just whatever.

Speaker 1 (56:08):
I hadn't needed it.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
I don't know this one, right.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
He never just warned you though. This is true, and
I know you know it. You're not gonna anything about
it til it happens. You're right, you don't need it
a lot, but when you need to remember, I mean
when you when you need it. It is so important.

Speaker 2 (56:24):
There's a you could forgot your password and then that
you can reset it if.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
You got that little password app on there that hold
your passwords for you. I don't even know what you're
talking about showing that. You showed it to me it
was a game changer.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
So you want me to waste my time because that's
what it would be doing. I'm not I'm not into that.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
You know. You don't know how many times that's come
through for me when you show that to me. Yes,
it's huge.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
You know there's things a lot that could help you
and simplify.

Speaker 1 (56:47):
Yeah, told me that when I got the phone. They
really should have I know when I got the phone,
so you don't remember that? So you have that a
little thing right there with the little keys on it.

Speaker 3 (56:56):
No, no, it sounds like the genius smart.

Speaker 6 (57:02):
There.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. We we got into this now.
Greg's staring at the phone like it's it's the sun. Yeah,
I got setting. Every time I'm in the Apple store.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
You know what I say. Every time I'm in the
Apple store, I think to myself, So this is how
Adler fels when we talk about sports exactly. Yeah, unto weirdos.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
But she was, I don't remember my password. I wish
I wish I could have been there, And he was like, well, ma'am,
I I mean we're gonna have to have that. Is
there anybody you can call?

Speaker 1 (57:28):
Do you remember well password? You know?

Speaker 2 (57:32):
And she started thinking and.

Speaker 1 (57:33):
Holding the line up.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
I'm sorry, y'all.

Speaker 1 (57:35):
Oh no, I wish I could a little hard. If
I could have been there, I could have told you
we're sweet. Two hundred was I got a clock on it? Yeah?
You know we know about that.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
He did the classic, Well, if you can go figure
it out, come back tomorrow at ten A.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
M oh no't figure it out. I wanted to walk
through a car seating.

Speaker 2 (57:56):
Well, I was in a battle. Get out of the way.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
Can I help you?

Speaker 8 (57:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (57:59):
What? I what bothered you? Both? You most your your
desire to help somebody and second hand embarrassment or the
fact you're like, well that's one one person out of
the one. I was fighting myself. I was in a
battle hard as is the norm. So you got a
brand new Strange Encounters coming out this this weekend where

(58:21):
you get podcast and also another ricking Bubba's Greatest Hits
in Radio Gold. So Adner, you rolled out of here
the other day. You want to go first of all
field trip update?

Speaker 3 (58:31):
Yeah? Yeah, yesterday it was Ruby's I guess, first real
field trip, her first time riding a school bus. Oh
I got to ride a school bus without a seat belt.
Oh that's so big. You know, You're like, I'm free.

Speaker 1 (58:46):
Yes's so cool. Isn't it odd that? And we all
grew up when the school bus was a normal part
of life. We all they literally put us on school buses.
We were way too young to be on here. We
were with older kids that taught us things we should
have never known.

Speaker 3 (58:59):
Yes, I've noticed, Yeah, he'll have some age mixing.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
The guy's in the back of the bus.

Speaker 3 (59:05):
What's that weird smell all that?

Speaker 1 (59:08):
I wonder if I wonder if they'll get my hat back?

Speaker 3 (59:10):
Yeah, probably not.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
And then they didn't really care. What stop you got
off then either now, oh anywhere stop if you won't.

Speaker 3 (59:23):
I'll never forget I was a kid on the bus.
I think I was in kindergarten. We're getting off the bus.
I'm off the bus, and we had made you know
how you make a funny hat pretty much like once
a week paper, Yes, And we had like it was
like Harry Harry Hat Day or something like that, and
we made these big funny hats. I'll never forget my buddy.
I'm getting off the bus. My brother's getting off the bus.

(59:45):
All our neighborhood kids are getting off because this is
our stop. And I'll never forget looking up and seeing
my buddy who's like struggling with his hat. I'm looking
through the window and he's like putting his hat on
because he wanted to put his hat on before he
got off the bus, putting his hat on, and that
bus just pulling away.

Speaker 1 (01:00:03):
My buddy, he.

Speaker 3 (01:00:07):
Put his hat on steal and it was gone. That
bus was gone. I don't know if that get ever
made it home. No, but yeah, she was very excited
about that. Ezra was incredibly jealous. He is at the
phase where he points out every single school bus he sees, Daddy,
it's a school bus, right, and if you don't acknowledge

(01:00:29):
that it's he's going to talk about it for twenty minutes.

Speaker 10 (01:00:32):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
The school bus is long gone, right, but he's still red.
He's going to say, I saw a school bus and
you better, you better acknowledge that I saw a school bus.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
He's just super into dump trucks right now. He knows
all about that's the that's the mint mixer, so he
knows mixer, mint mixer, mint mix there, and he knows that.
He knows all this stuff. It's amazing. Excavator all this stuff.
That's a big one, that's a small one. Yes, you
can say excavator, ecavator or something you know like mint mixeroo,

(01:01:04):
scoo bus, all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
He was very all that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
Yeah, oh has a lot of heavy equipment and they
pick it up. They love heavy equipment. Who doesn't I
still do. By the way, I'm still looking for a
mini excavator. And that's a lot of a lot of
part why he knows what an excavator I'm going to
get one?

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
Guy, Gary.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
I talked to Gary, but he was Gary bothered me.
He didn't want to he didn't want me to touch
his talked.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
That I did.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
I got secondhand when he talked to Gary about Oh no,
it was a very awkward situation.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
I'm like allers doing is asking was he suggesting that
he borrowed Gary's for.

Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
Like a year or two? I had a lot of
work to do.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Kind of look down on many men excavator?

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
Yeah, he did, he did, and it was a lot
of it was like what are you getting into my
world for? Kind of Gary, kind of like hey, you
hipster buddy, long hair, get out of here kind of things.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
My awkward moment.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
I don't have sleeves on her. You know, that's fine,
that's fine. But yeah, I got out to Old Baker Farm,
which is farther down the road, which is perfect. I
was able to run there real quick. The field trip
was over when I got there.

Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
You tried to make a field trip and didn't make it.
Well luckily did you drive there to see her get
on the bus to go back.

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
Y'all, I'm pulling in the bus is leaving. The bus
is gone. It's luckily my wife was there to give
Ruby a ride. So y'all. I get to get there
and the parking lot is empty, and it's my wife's
car and like my car, and I'm like, okay, well,
I guess we have Old Baker Farms to ourselves. So
I apologize to Old Baker Farms for walking around just

(01:02:46):
with my family. But you had to make that camp
like we own the place, right, so we actually had
the place for ourselves. It was awesome. I got to
run through, y'all. It was so fun, just running through
like a corn maze with my five year old daughter
and just chasing her around and climbing up on haybells
and going through like hay tunnel slides. I got in
the back of a gigantic cotton wagon and I'm just

(01:03:08):
jumping around in raw cotton with my kid. But it
was amazing. I don't think I was supposed to do
any of this stuff because there was nobody around.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Here's what was that what I'm worried about. Because you
got there when the field trip was over and the
bus was leaving. You really had yourself set up for
a moment of somebody calling. No, I can see him.
There's this man chasing this little girl through a corn made.

Speaker 3 (01:03:29):
Yes, he's chasing her right now, he's right now chasing her.

Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Yes, he's like a short Jesus.

Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
Yes, he came out of the woods. So just so
that was awkward.

Speaker 1 (01:03:41):
He drop up in a van, A serious van.

Speaker 6 (01:03:45):
Van.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
It's an abduction van.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
Right if he catches her, he's putting in that van.
He's actually doing it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:53):
The workers, the workers were kind of packing things up,
and we're just kind of walking around, and I'm like,
I need I need thirty minutes to walk around this place.
I'm really sorry.

Speaker 1 (01:04:03):
I drove all the way from work. I gotta make
this cake.

Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
Yes, but they had horses and donkeys and chickens and
goats and ducks and all kinds of stuff. And the
chickens were a great opportunity for me to bring up
the fact that probably one day I'm thinking about possibly
maybe getting chicken. Call me, Farmer Brown.

Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
My neighbors across the street have done it. Thank you
for the rooster. We all love it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:29):
Yeah, you don't need to get a male chicken, everybody
that plus that will mess up your eggs. Because you
guys know, the eggs are just unfertilized.

Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
We understand.

Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Thank you guys know what eggs are.

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
Tough day for me. Procreation.

Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
It's honestly almost a perfect food. It's like almost everything
that you need for life right in there. So eat
the white and the yolk. I'm just saying, God made it.
God made it for a reason. God loves us, and
God designed that.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
Okay, thanks Bady, all Right, I sound good or bad?
I don't think we have time for Genesis go.

Speaker 3 (01:05:01):
Ahead in the beginning. So that was honestly, I'm just like,
you won't leave, Yeah, he won't leave.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
This guy drive.

Speaker 3 (01:05:11):
It was awkward. We walked past several workers that were
like putting covers over things. You know, they're shutting it down.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
Did they try to close did they try to close
things like loud so like you could take a hint.

Speaker 3 (01:05:24):
It was a lot of like, well, time to wrap
it up.

Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Wow, what a big day that was. It's over now.

Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
Film trip's done this. When we get to go home,
if everybody will.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
Leave, sorry about that, but I had to.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
I had was still a pumpkin come.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
On, Yeah, so there you go. That was I'm just
so thankful for moments like that. I'm like, this is
like one of the most fun moments of my life
running through Haybals with my daughter, Like it's it's.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
Just so amazing to all these other children.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
That was honestly great, perfect from the heart. Yeah, yeah,
so that was great. This past Tuesday, I had I've
only got two more weeks of soccer.

Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
So y'all got long? Save long you started? Y'all?

Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Hey, it feels long, might not be long, feels.

Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
It feels like they just want to check off that.
So did y'all have soccer? Sort of?

Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
Yeah, it's it's four year olds through fourth grade.

Speaker 1 (01:06:26):
We repick every week. The last time we heard from you,
you your record had dropped it two and two.

Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
No uniforms, Penny, We got pennies. Okay, nice, not enough
so that only one team can wear a penny, and
that causes what are you saying, Penny, Jersey, Penny, We
don't know about. You're not really in the sports world, speedy,
so I know more about.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
They got penny and we didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
And I had I had like five girls and three boys,
and the boys are so squirrely and they're always messing
with each other just like always poking at each other.
I'm like, stop touching each other. I said that. I
said it really loud though, so my parents heard it
and stuff. I'm like, they're like, okay, yeah, and so

(01:07:12):
on the all the penny I put all the pennies
on the girls because the girls want to stick together too.
And then but I don't have even teams, and so
I say to the girls, I'm like, all right, girls,
y'all have more people. So if you score a goal,
you're going to have to take off your penny and
go on the other team. And then Ruby goes, I
don't want to.

Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
Score a goal.

Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
And so I just realized I made it. I made
it so they don't want to score.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
You took the reward system and.

Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
Scratch that scratch you're holding. Change it's it's it's not
it's a penny jersey because it or you don't know
about sports, but okay, or play soccer.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Let the athlete and the coach speak and the rest of
us down.

Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
And so right, So I realized that ID incentifized scoring,
So that was bad.

Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
I went and.

Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
Grabbed another kid from another field, and so then I
even evened it out.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
Come here kid, I didn't grab them.

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
Don't look at me like that, did you.

Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
Cambel was a stark and so you know, I'm trying
to avoid injuries. I had a very similar situation that
our our studio audience member mentioned a jammed finger, and
so you know, evidently you're just supposed to pull on
it really hard. Is that what I'm supposed Ruby got
hit in the face with a soccer ball. That was horrible.
Her nose chained shape for a little while, you know,

(01:08:34):
but I'm like, it's fine, baby, that'll go back, go
back to normal. So only two more weeks, so darn
couldn't can't hurry up? Please?

Speaker 1 (01:08:43):
