the camp House. First text out of the gate today
from Virginia. More camp house videos please. Well, I happen
to know the producer, so I talked to him yesterday
and I said, hey, we're ready for episode two now, aditor.
What's the am I doing? Am I rushing that? What's
the what's the protocol for in the in the hip
world world of streaming and all this new fangled technology?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Should I be? What's the time frame before we should
have episode two? Do? What do all the streaming goobs
say about that?

Speaker 5 (03:10):
What does the producer say about that?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Well, he thinks that it's it's almost time, but not
quiet time, okay, which means he doesn't have time to
finish it yet.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
Right.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
The edit? The edit is so grueling, my goodness.

Speaker 7 (03:23):
If you shoot for one hour, plan on editing for ten,
it's really that kind of a ratio. It's it's horrible.
Editing is so painstaking. But he did a great job
on it. Way to go, Broadster, And I know your
dad's pressuring you, But no pressure, buddy, Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
But episode two is coming though, and matter of fact,
I'm going to see him Lord Willing Saturday. According to
his mother, you know, every time, have you ever what
time is it. Oh, no, way, you're good. Okay, the
adult kid world, married kid world. Oh yeah, okay, Greg,

(04:00):
you're familiar, uh speed of your friend.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I'm familiar with both. Did you do?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
You sometimes hear your son's version and then you hear
your wife's version, and it doesn't seem as in stone
when you talk to him as it did when you
talk to her. Oh yeah, hey, they're coming over Saturday.
And then you kind of done. Then you kind of
talk to your son and you're like, I didn't. That
doesn't sound that doesn't sound on the calendar. It was

(04:26):
a possibility. That sounds like that sounds like they're they're
they're working on that.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Maybe you're pretty confident he's not. Yeah, you've got it.
Just my goodness, you got it right here on your calendar.
I mean, I don't. I don't think he wrote it
in his or many times hers. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (04:44):
Uh so.

Speaker 9 (04:45):
Also, I don't know if it's just the guy in
us or whatever, but I'm very sensitive in bothering them,
you know, And let me be.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Clear, we're the only ones that see it that way.

Speaker 9 (04:54):
Guy's gonna say, because Terry Wilburn runs right through that
stop sign, she couldn't care less.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I'm like, know what, why are you calling him? What
are you doing? Honey? I know what? Hey, what are
you doing? Sorry? Buddy? Sorry, you'll do a background sorry body, Yeah,
I'll do an assistant coach if you don't watch you. Hey,
sorry about this body trying to help you. Yeah, I
just just answer her questions. She'll let you go. Yeah,
so if you if you ask my wife, I'm absolutely

(05:20):
seeing Brody and his wife's Saturday. If I talked to Brody,
it's probably going to say, yeah, I hope we can
do that. So but I will see him Thursday too,
by the way, because it's that weird thing where I
have to work with him again. Oh, it's he works
for another He worked you know Ironhill Press that his
partners with Burgess Ministries on all things Man Church. Yeah,

(05:41):
so you know.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Conference number one is one week from Friday in Birmingham, Alabama.
As a matter of fact, I think we have Hugh
Freeze coming on Thursday, Thursday of this week. He's speaking there.
We had Granger Smith last Friday. But anyway, so I've
got to go shoot a video. It's weird with iron
Hill Press about something that involving the conference in next year.

(06:04):
I mean this year, Rick, it's here, Buddy twenty five
is here this year, and then he's the one who
shoots it, and like I'm getting like scripts from him
and what time I'm supposed to be there, which is awkward.
So uh so, anyway, I will see him Thursday. Do
you bring up our stuff when he's working for somebody else?

Speaker 10 (06:23):
No?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Is that bad? You say stuff the Rick episode? The episode? Yeah,
the Rick Burgess show stuff.

Speaker 11 (06:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Probably in the game. I mean downtime.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
I mean, so, am I sitting there while he's working
getting this project done Thursday and start talking about our project.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
And you can get an update? Yeah, like cash, Hey, if
I said camp host camp House tells the camp House
episode two too, you just real quick? What would you
say back? Something like that?

Speaker 12 (06:46):
Right?

Speaker 13 (06:46):
What?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
What? What?

Speaker 14 (06:48):
What?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Were talking?

Speaker 9 (06:48):
It is interesting to find out what they think about
the time frame on these because if you release two
too quickly, then everybody forgets about one.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Right, And that's what he's trying to thank you, Speedy
for playing the role of my son. And probably Adler
he just don't want to say it right, you know,
because he's he Adler's the young buck, He's the closest
thing to Brody we got. You know, he's the closest
thing to our kids that we have. Yeah, he's he's
not as far away from them as we are.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, No, that's true. You're the in between, buddy.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
That's fine. I'm fine with that.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
So how old are you?

Speaker 5 (07:19):
And I'm thirty nine, just turned thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Okay, so so my oldest kid is thirty five. Wow,
I can almost be crazy. I could almost be your dad.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
Yeah, buddy, your friends with his dad? Now, what is
your dad?

Speaker 15 (07:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (07:33):
I know, I know you are friends with my dad.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
But your dad's older than me. But your dad's older
than me, he is. Yeah, what I'm saying a long shot,
not a long shot? Maybe what eight six? Cheers, babes.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
I'm a I'm a son, so we don't. We don't
track that stuff right.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Well, what I'm thinking, speedy, You see, I'm talking about
if if I'm sixty, yeah, so you know, thirty five,
that means, you know, I had a kid at twenty five.
So in order to be Adler's dad, I'd have to
I'd have to go on back down to like I
guess I could.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
It would be a little awkward.

Speaker 7 (08:05):
I'm one of four boys, and so if you get
all four of us together and we pool our resources,
we could probably tell you how old my dad was.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Okay, you know, but your dad is so youthful. None
of us see him older than me. And I get that.

Speaker 7 (08:19):
Yeah, and I keeps turning sixty in my mind, you know. Yeah,
I think of that self preservation on my part.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Yeah, let me say, you looking at your parents genetically.
I don't know what happens in all the other parts
of your family, but as far as your immediate parents
looking pretty healthy and pretty youthful.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
They're doing good. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (08:40):
My dad came and visited me one time at the
at the Harley Davidson motorcycle shop that I was working at. Yeah,
you're a mechanic and I was a detailed technician, Greg so.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Detailed tech.

Speaker 7 (08:55):
And he comes in and he was probably, I guess,
in his mid fifties at the time. And all the
guys that I'm working with are in their thirties and
forties and maybe early fifties. But because of the life
that they've lived, they looked like all of them looked
like they were seventy eighty ninety years old going on
a motorcycle, right, just riding a motorcycle in itself, that'll

(09:18):
aid you. And so they found out that my dad
was like sixty one or something like that.

Speaker 5 (09:23):
And my manager was like, man, how do you look
like that? And I'm like, well, a lot of a
lot of better choices.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, a little different lifestyle here.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Yeah, I think that's in the moment, I said, vitamin Jesus.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
But that's good. Well, you're right.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
When's the last time you looked at an aging Harley
guy and thought he looked youthful?

Speaker 5 (09:42):
He's doing good.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Don't wrinkles at all. You really don't say that much to.

Speaker 5 (09:47):
You That man is threadbare.

Speaker 7 (09:49):
You just look at a person and they're like, that's
a threadbare person. One time with the mechanics, one of
the mechanics, I was like, man, I need to drink
more water, and he goes, I don't drink water.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
I'm like, I can tell that's mister California raising.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
I love you. I love you, man down drinking water.

Speaker 8 (10:10):
Ever.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. This is what Trump
had in mind when he sought to make America great again.

(10:34):
The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
That inauguration is coming. Uh so uh and we're all
ready to get that done so we can get him
back in there. All right, So we're moving forward. Things
that you need to know. I'm just gonna tell you
straight up, I got a.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Hankering for the wheel today of bundles, bits and bucks.
I like how it felt to give away all that
money we did on week one.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Now again it can land on anything.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
But there is straight cash homie on there as well.
We got five hundred dollars slots and also one thousand
dollars slots had big winners last week. We're gonna do
some wheel today. I can tell you the wheels coming today,
absolutely coming. Now for those of you out there that
are also you know, we've got a lot of things
out there in the audience today that we discovered. We

(11:27):
have a lot of amateur radio consultants, we have a
lot of contract experts. We've got some people that are
just I mean they're fashionistas. I mean, we've got doctors.
I mean, we've got it all out there. And one
of the things that we also have out there is

(11:47):
that we have things that we're trying to do that
we want you to be aware of and one of
them is we have a lot of amateur engineers out
there that are experts on microphones apparently sound and so
one do that yesterday, timed the engineer and by the way,
he loves all y'alls feedback.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
It just makes his.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Day, he just but you know, but one of the
things that I noticed with a lot of you is,
and it's true that it's a different experience if you're
listening to I don't want to talk too much shop here,
but if you're listening to terrestrial radio, you get you
got one sound situation. If you're watching on YouTube, that's

(12:29):
a different experience. If you're listening to a streaming out
that's a different experience. If you're listening to the podcast archives,
which frankly sometimes in my opinion, sounds the best. Uh,
you know, that's a different that's a different experience.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
So you can.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Imagine back in the old days, all the engineer had
to do was worry about how it sounds on terrestrial radio,
and that was it didn't worry abou anything else.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
None of this other stuff existed.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
So so now we have new microphones which are a
superior to what we had before.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
The others were also wearing out. And and but with
that comes, you know, dialing it in.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
So yesterday on the new mics, and and and I
think what Tom has realized, and it's true, is if
we were all in course speeding and I spent a little.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Time as hot rocking DJs.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
And you know, if you're sitting here doing a music show,
are you doing the show? You're the only one talking.
The mics really were fine. Are the ones that I
already have the processes all that Greg doesn't have his yet.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
An add or is on one of the older mics.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
But but this is a talk show where multiple people
talk in conversations all the time, so that's a different
setup on the microphone. And so he's taking that and
dialing it in. Yesterday we made some adjustments that I
think you should hear. And we also added something to
take away the peep hopping. Uh, prior planning prevents poor performance.

(13:53):
That's not that's not popping, popping and pop and adder
do these really popping? Do these things look okay? They
basically put a big a bigger cone on here. Does
it look all right?

Speaker 8 (14:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Yeah, I think it's worth it.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Prior planning prevents poor performance, Absolutely worth look better. Okay,
thanks Greg, thanks for always walking up. First thing, he said, like,
I got a snow cone in front of my face, right, great?

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Would you read their spe pop Perhaps No, I kind
of would rather go with the people. Okay, that doesn't
surprise me.

Speaker 5 (14:24):
I think that's actually the technical term is plosion.

Speaker 16 (14:27):
Yes, that's it, plosion clos it's pleas so anyway, so
we're just my voice deeper we were even though we're
in the same location as far as studio, we've made
some adjustments, uh, you know, decorations and and and you know,
we've we've overhauled some things, including brand new stands and microphones.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
So the microphones definitely sound better, but they also are
a different sound. So we're dialing that in. And thank
you for all your feedback. And I enjoy if you
If you don't want to keep doing this for no
other reason, it's for me to keep telling Tom which
are saying, because I love his reaction.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Everything.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
The only thing would be better somehow, Greg was the engineer.
That's the that's the only way this would be better.
Tom's such a nicer person than Greg.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Yeah, it's not even close.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Super Tom.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
So he was here, he was thankful. Greg wasn't. Yes,
he was said that out loud.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
He said, I've never been so excited about one of
your mother's doctor's appointments. So here's another thing I liked.
That's fine, Here's here's another thing about life. So on
the text, thank you, Greg, you want to you want
to get all you said and just purge it, get
it all out. But over here people can send pictures
on the text option too, and there is some responsibility

(15:41):
that comes with that. But but here's a guy that
just here's a guy now, Frank Caliendo. We did have
Frank one, by the way, so he sent a picture,
and of course speedy, I was like, I wonder where
I was, And then I looked and he actually tells
me where I am, and and it's he he and
I are at in Birmingham to these historic theaters, the
Alabama Theater. And this is when we went to see

(16:03):
White Christmas with Brody's speaking of Brody and his wife
fantastic and then Big Love came over from Atlanta and
all you remember that story.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
So what's funny about life? In this picture?

Speaker 3 (16:14):
You can even tell in my joy, I think I'm
on vacation for three weeks and I think everything's going
to be great. I have no idea that tomorrow in
this picture, not today, tomorrow, tomorrow then I'm standing there
getting my picture made with him. I do not know
that tomorrow my wife will breaker foot.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
I have no idea.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
So in this picture you're saying that you don't know that.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
I don't know that. Look look at the spot you have.
I haven't heard velcrow with its PA system in the middle.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
I don't know. Life is a boot is coming from
me and my wife for six six weeks. I don't
know that I'm going to the mergery room tomorrow. In
that picture, I don't know. It's funny how life.

Speaker 9 (17:00):
Oh that she would be like in the backyard needing
help and you're in there cutting up with the kids.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
You couldn't hear And my favorite, she was like, wows
she realized I'm out here by myself, by the way,
a good time.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
If you're looking for answers, If your wife says, I
can't believe that you didn't come help me, I can't
believe you couldn't hear me. The answer, just so.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Y'all know, is not well, you should yell louder, okay,
that that is not the answer.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
Far away, Well, it's his backyard. It's you're down there.
You went all the way downstairs. I mean we're in
the front of the house. You're all in the bed.
I having a good old time. Right, should have called
us on the cell phone, right, you didn't think about
taking your cell phone? For any time you take your
cell phone, no, you could fall downsteps. So so anyway,

(17:48):
and then another thing is happening, and I don't know
what to do. But you know, when it's us against nature,
you know, nature's difficult, it's quite the opponent. Something is
going on in my home right now. That that kind
of ties to going back to when in that picture

(18:09):
when I thought, you know, the three weeks, everything's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Great, and I don't really know what to do about it. Now.
I know in the old days, I would know what
to do about it, but what i'd have to do
to stop this, probably how it's happening wouldn't work. But
we have an issue. I think that it's possible that

(18:32):
nature is holding Sherry and me captive right now.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Really, yeah, you're not gonna believe what keeps happening. How again,
last night we'll talk about that.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
When we come back.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. We talked to the
public every day, and trust us, you should be grief
fully concerned, lotally pur.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yes, yes you should. Uh okay, uh so more this guy,
this is I'm done. I'm done with seven o six all.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
Right, So, uh let's talk a little bit. This is
not going to be a lot of fun. This is
not going to be a lot of fun. But I
got to talk about taxes. I don't like talking about taxes.
I don't want to talk about taxes. Uh how we ever,
let income tax even start?

Speaker 2 (19:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Uh So, So anyway, let's say you got some tax
issues out there. Okay, Well, our friends at the I
r S they they're not going away.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
And and you hardworking an American, I'm talking to you,
hard working American.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
You're you're they're coming after you.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
They'll demonize, oh my goodness, they'll demonize the uber rich.
But when it comes comes time to go taxing, they
know that going after them is a hassle because they
have advocates, they have lawyers.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
You don't, so they're gonna.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Target you in the r S has already said we
are out to find you. So if you owe back taxes,
maybe you have unfiled returns. Do not wait, go ahead
and get yourself an advocate with TNUSA dot com slash
big vox. That's t NUSA dot com slash big vox.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Rick.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
I don't have great credit, that's all right, all right, Rick, Rick,
it's been a while since I've since I filed.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
It's okay. Look, if you if you.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
Owe ten thousand or even up to ten million, the
team at Tax Network USA can help you. Not all
tax resolution companies are the same. No, our friends at
Tax Network USA they got strong relationships with the rs
A preferred direct line. They know which agents to stay
away from, which ones that would be good to work with.

(21:01):
Don't don't contact the r S without them. Don't you
do that? Go right now to t NUSA dot com
slash big vox or Rick Burgess show dot com under sponsors.
So humans versus nature, we've seen it. It's not it's
not great. So and you know, I have some concerns,
and I feel like you know how Paul Revere must

(21:24):
have felt when no one would listen that the British
were coming. And so I have been warning everybody within
the sound of this voice. The animals are after us,
and they they've elevated their attack and their military forces
in ways that are unprecedented. We've never seen the things

(21:45):
they do. Now, how many more times are we going
to have to hear this particular animal did something that
was not normal? Uh, we've never seen. We had a
story we didn't get to was it was it yesterday
or last week? The giant great white shark that we
now see sitting out there on the beach going this
looks like easy eating. I'm stalking people, baby, and you

(22:06):
know they made a movie about me all that. So,
and this is not a highly dangerous, you know animal,
But I feel like the animal's doing something and I
don't I don't know why this animal keeps doing this.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
So if you remember when we.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Were taking the Christmas trees down and all that drama
of speedy you know, regretting let me borrow his truck
and all that found a few more scratches, Yes, sorry
about that, but I'm telling you that had to do
with the once I had lost one tree and now
I'm putting them in angry.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Literally, he had it for forty five minutes, right, It
wasn't very long. It wasn't very long? Was it for
a full hour? Right?

Speaker 3 (22:46):
And so so if you remember the doors, what what
is it called? If you're is it French doors? If
you have two that you can open up like that?

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Well we all know. I don't know why the French
are credited with that. I'll take I guess, but anyway,
so makes more sense now, So uh okay, yeah, okay,
uh we uh boom boom.

Speaker 3 (23:20):
So anyway, just last night, and we all know this,
we've we've talked about this agnolsium that apparently our wives
have stock in Amazon something. I don't you talk about
something that that was a game changer for people who
like the shop?

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Yeah, okay, that's funny. That is funny.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
So anyway, uh, the pictures coming in and they're talking
about the SPEEDISHU shirt today.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
I think that shirt, you know, I mean we.

Speaker 9 (23:49):
I guess people can find the square. Somebody said that
they're playing tact.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Yeah, that's not a bad shirt. Different in the pictures,
it does. I think it it's different on camera than
it does here.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
But but then it changed the color. Oh I see, Okay,
I guess fine.

Speaker 3 (24:01):
But anyway, so he looks like he's on fire, so
are y'all like me, and I think the answer is yes,
just based on what I've heard y'all already say.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
But I'll get you to confirm. I now look at
the porch, the front porch, the way I used to
look at the mailbox. Check the front porch.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
You're right, yeah, So I'll periodically look out there to
see if something's out there. It's part of my routines.
My dogs might mess with it or something. I can't
let it sit there long. So I'm on the way
to uh to go to to go to bed, to
go to bed, okay, and all of a sudden I
look out and I said, well, there's a package. There's
a dog on package. Who who knows what this is?

(24:43):
I'm not exaggerating this. The only time it took was
one side, okay, because I don't you don't use both
sidesess you got to bring stuff in. I took the
latch off, unlocked the lock, the boats all that. This
is how long? Open door, grab box, shut door back
that that's all. It was that quick, that's all. It
was no more time than that. So I turned around

(25:05):
going there and put it on the kitchen island. You know,
Sherry's in there brushing her teeth, going to bed. I
turned to go, and I.

Speaker 17 (25:10):
Hear chirp, chirp, chirp.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
And I in the house and not again, not at
bed time, not again. And so I looked around and
there's a stupid bird sitting perching on one of the lamps. Again,
get in here. They must be nesting on your porch
out there.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Chirp, chirp, And I'm well, there was a sight of
me that said, now I'm just going to bed. And
then Sherry, I hear that bird and then all of
a sudden, well, I know, and that's what she said.
She says, I don't want this thing, you know, crapping
all over the lamps. You were good with going to bed,
And I how out can that chirp be kind of soothing?

Speaker 18 (25:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (25:48):
And I can shut my bedroom door. I have to
deal with the bird.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Let the bird run around, you know. And she'said, I
know we got to get this. So here, I am
at bedtime sleepy too. You know who I am. I'm
I'm the guy that sat down on the couch in
front of the TV and dozed off and had this
something a little nice that has hairs all over his
head and I'm trying, as we all know, and all
of you know this, I'm trying not to get awake
so much that now I'm gonna have a big guy

(26:12):
when I lay down. Exactly, I want to stay in
that stupor and then go on out for the for
the rest of the night. And now this bird's gonna
bring me out of the stupor.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Yeah, your heart rate elevating, Then you got to go
sit in front of the TV for a minute.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
Right, So now I've got and now I'm certainly not
gonna do what I did last time and go all
the way out to the backyard and get the pooled net.
They ain't no way, ain't that? So so you know
that thing, you know that thing that if you have
those recessed floodlights and they're too high and as a
section the section I want to so I get that out, okay,

(26:47):
because it's got the extended okay. Yeah, And then for
some reason Sherry thought she would try a broom. But
what's funny, and this is how comedic, this is the
whole deal is because you know, our house is like
twenty one years old something like that, and if you remember,
in that era, we left the standard eight foot ceiling,

(27:07):
and now everybody's got to have these big cathedral ceilings
and whatever. So the bird is now living higher than
the doorframe.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
You can't get them to go.

Speaker 3 (27:17):
Back, so which then you have to get up on
the go up the steps and try to use your
body or some one of these things.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
I have to force the bird down.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Even when the bird goes to flying, it keeps flying
toward the door, but above the door.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
So you got it for some reason. You start talking
to it like I can understand. I'm like, I'm not
no door. And then I start this, you're are you
the guy? You're the same bird.

Speaker 17 (27:39):
You know how to get out. We got you out last.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
Time, so apparently, and we did this for, you know,
another twenty minutes till finally it flew out again. So
I'm thinking to myself, is this now my experience? Can
I not go to my own front door and walk
out or or pick something up? I didn't leave the
door open for a long period of time.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
I can't even open that door now without this stupid
bird coming. It's like it was waiting.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
Yeah, it's just that same bird. It's the same bird.
He's he or she is back. God, you realize how
little time that door was opened. So is it out
there waiting now? Why is it?

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Won't end? Question? How does it know you're coming for?

Speaker 9 (28:17):
Do you associate that delivery and opening of the door
of when it got in or was it in and
if you finally.

Speaker 3 (28:23):
Heard it came in there? And then look it goes
to chirp in a meeting? Okay, it'll chirp, well like
men in there.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
You don't know why he's in there.

Speaker 7 (28:32):
Hey bird people, if you're watching on YouTube, tell what
what kind of bird is this?

Speaker 5 (28:36):
Exactly?

Speaker 3 (28:37):
I think it's an Eastern phoebe? What are you Eastern phoebe?
I can't believe I just said that. What is It's
something Sherry said I didn't come up with.

Speaker 5 (28:46):
Is it really the same bird? Because this is from
Christmas that you sent me the.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Exact same bird.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
If I if I was at the police office and
the policeman was saying, is this the bird that keeps
attacking you, I'd say that's that's the one second from the.

Speaker 5 (28:58):
Left, not the same breed? Greg, Is this, I take
you the same bird?

Speaker 9 (29:02):
A text he has asked a great question. Do you
have a wreath on the door? And when you open
the doors. It's just sitting in the road.

Speaker 5 (29:07):
It's it's nested in.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Good question.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
But there is no wreath. Okay, wreath gone? All right,
so that's sound. Okay, there's there a nest under that porch.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
I gotta go look together. There's a nest under there.
I guanteed. I didn't think they nested. I don't think
they do all that this time of year.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Who knows, Yeah, anybody, anybody an expert on the eastern
phoebe or they just he just likes hanging around your life.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
I think it's an attack. I think it's a scoppy
that why does it want in there?

Speaker 3 (29:34):
And it's war?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Well, them birds can't they handle you with that? They
dealt with I don't think they know about it that.
I just fly south. It's to go here.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Don't keep going south at them mobile. I heard a
lot about your f lines south.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Don't come in here. Yeah, so now I can't even
open my door. That's a phoebe. You will be right back.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Three Cities, three powerful weekends,
the men, church conferences, worship, challenge, discipleship, and fellowship all

(30:14):

Panama City or Atlanta at Themanchurch dot Com Disciplemen Change Everything.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
It starts one week from Friday and Birmingham. All right,
So we're back. Thanks for being with us today. Also
made an announcement yesterday. You may have missed it, but
coming up this Saturday, wherever you get podcasts, a new
podcast is starting celebrating the thirty one years of the
Rick and Bubba Show. It will be called Rick and

(30:49):
Bubba's Greatest Hits in Radio Gold wherever you get podcasts,
and it will be operational and we'll continue to add
to that catalog where you can enjoy best of moment
from those thirty one wonderful years on your own podcast.
So look for that coming up this Saturday.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
All right.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
So we're looking into the world of sport for just
a moment. And when looking in the world of sport,
and I think this discussion we've had here on the
show when we were before, when we were working on
the Rick and Bubba Show altogether, and that is can
Dion Sanders Is he a professional NFL coach?

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Can that work? Is it real?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
And we've gone back and forth on why it may
or may not work. But the Cowboys they're done with
Mike McCarthy, he is out. I've watched some videos of
Troy Aitman being very frank about the state of the Cowboys,
blaming Jerry Jones and not even pulling any punches on

(31:54):
that one. And I think Jerry Jones falls into that
category where at one time you were an asset to
the product, and the product owes you a lot, because
without you, the product would not be where it is.
But then somewhere along the way you started to becoming
a detriment.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
To the product.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
And uh and and so people are starting to think
Jerry Jones is now in the latter, not in the former.
I don't know whether there's certain things about Jerry Jones
I don't care for, but then there's I don't know
enough about it too, But then there's other things. I go, well,
I mean, he's but I'll tell you one thing. The
Cowboys are worth more money now than they've ever been.
Oh man, his original investment, what is worth now?

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Yeah? Wow?

Speaker 3 (32:38):
So now the story is from Mail Online Cowboys open
talks with Dion Sanders over there now vacancy.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 (32:48):
In Monday Night Football last night, they I call it
Monday Night football. It was the it was the game
that was moved from LA because of the wildfire from
for the Rams were hosting the Vikings and then blew
them out.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
By the way. That's another story.

Speaker 9 (33:03):
But at halftime Adam Adam Scheffner sat down and kind
of broke this story about how Jerry called Dion and
they're talking. Now Dion has come out like a classic
coach and said, I love it here.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Of course I'm older, and but.

Speaker 9 (33:17):
It was it was it was nice to hear from Jerry,
and I love he's pleasant to talk to and love
the man.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
But I'm fine here. How many times that means anything.
Let's let's go, I'll go through coaching history the NFL
and college.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
Yeah, how many times a coach told us that they
were staying right where they are and they're not talking
to anybody.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
That's right?

Speaker 9 (33:35):
Yeah, yeah, but so but you know, it does go
back to it seems like and this is just the
people from the inside that tell us the story, right
that Jerry's in the way, and we've heard that for
how many years? But I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
How old is Jerry now he's up there. Yeah, eighty
two right.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
Wow, tell y'all's point. Troy Aikman, there.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Was a little under the weather last night, was he Yeah,
it didn't sound good. He's struggle.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
He commented on this, exactly what you guys are saying,
and he's got the hit.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
You know, he's a cowboy.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
I want to be a cowboy, Miny Rings. Greg's a
cowboy man.

Speaker 7 (34:14):
Talking about the Jerry Jones situation, I do think the
Cowboys are obviously a high profile team.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Whoever is covering or whoever is head.

Speaker 19 (34:22):
Coaching of that team is certainly going to draw a
lot of attention. But I think most football people that
take over as a head coach, they want to do
it on their terms, and that's hard to do.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
And it's you know, if you take.

Speaker 20 (34:35):
A Dan Campbell, for instances, Dan Campbell, Dan Campbell, if
he's with the Dallas Cowboys, that's it's hard to imagine
that he is. It's hard to imagine that a lot
of these coaches might be. So I I you know,
I love the Dallas Cowboys. I played there for twelve years.

Speaker 19 (34:48):
I wish him well, But to say that it's a
coveted job, I'm not sure I'll necessarily agree with that, but.

Speaker 2 (34:57):
He microphone, Yes he does. Don't be like that.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
Time's working so hard. But I want to go back
to what we just said. And you hear Troy Aikman
saying it. You can be the greatest coach in the world,
but if you're working for a man that won't give
you the authority to run the team, the franchise or
the program.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
It's college the way you want to do it.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
And the best coaches are not coaches that are going
to be somebody's boy. They're just not that they're going
to They're going to come and say, if you want
to hire me, then I run the program the way
I want to run it or the franchise, and stay
out of my world and let me coach and let
me do this, let me let me let me build
you a team. You're right, And if Jerry is not

(35:42):
one of those people, then Troy's making the point. It's
not as sought after as you would think. And I
don't think Dion Sanders woul want to work in that situation,
not from what not from his personality, So I don't
know that's interesting.

Speaker 9 (35:56):
And Mike McCarthy already has a scheduled interview with the Chicago,
So he's going to get picked up quick. I think
they have to wait contractually, they have to wait a
certain amount of time before he can go and get
interviewed or something.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
So yeah, some people are saying, and I've forgotten about this,
that the way that Jerry Jones treated Tom Landry was
something they never got over. They said, look, you can
get rid of a legend. But the way they got
rid of him, he said he thought was classless. This
is in the text here.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
So yeah, I barely remember it, but but it had
to be done. Was the right decision. It was.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
They're just saying he didn't have him with class. So
so anyway, we'll we'll do. Y'all think Dion Sanders can
translate into a NFL coach?

Speaker 9 (36:45):
Well, you know, it's kind of weird because with Shador Sanders,
you wonder who's going to get him. And I mean,
you know, the Cowboys just got pretty invested with Dak right,
who's going to be coming off an injury that toward
uh what hamstring pulled it from the bone and everything,
and it was a pretty bad way. Uh And but

(37:06):
I think he's going to be ready. So you just wonder,
you know, because the Cowboys didn't do well. Would he
be around to get who knows? I mean, it would
be kind of cool to see Dion Senders coaching the
Cowboys just for the entertainment side of things, just because
of his personality and no Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yeah, yeah, I'm concerned.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
That the things he's doing that I mean really very
quickly helped Colorado to be competitive again. The way he
went about it, my way or no way, it's just
hard to coach professionals like that. Yeah, that's Nick Saban, but.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Being a professional, that's what it was. He had an
inside he knows. That's a good point an NFL player, mate, No,
you're right, that's a good point.

Speaker 9 (37:52):
Saban's on the list that think he would take up
about me. He would take anything from Jerry Oh Well, to.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Your point, Greg, he can see it from both sides.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
He can see it from the coach side, and then
he can go to not just being a player, but
being a prima donna.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
On the team. What bothered him and what didn't too,
So yeah, you're right, I'll be a good hut. Yeah,
top of the hour. Thanks for being with us.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
You miss any part of the show today, don't forget
The daily archives are available for you on.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
The YouTube channel or the podcast channel. More of the
Rick Burgess Show coming up right after this.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
This is The Rick Burgess Show, Big Bucks. That our team,
but press, The Rick Burgess Show with Speedy, Greg Burgess,

(38:51):
Edie Van Adler, and Rick Burgess.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
And we're off and running.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
We're off and running.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Glad you're much to do. Oh, Rick's got a hankering
for the wheel today. What's better than a wheell of.

Speaker 17 (39:06):
Meet a wheel of money?

Speaker 3 (39:10):
Yeah, two thousand dollars we gave away last week on
Week one.

Speaker 2 (39:15):
You're gonna spend that baby again today.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
It could land on a bundle out of The Rick
Burgess Show's store, could be a bit meaning we're forced
to perform whatever it lands on, or it could be
bucks straight cash hominge. So be paying attention that that
baby could spend at any time, and we'll spend on

(39:37):
today's program. So, as you heard, the gang is all
here as we start a brand new game. The gang
is all here. Glad you are here. So I wanted
to bring up something that also you know, we had
in you know, this whole winter weather thing. By the way,

(39:57):
I don't even know how to and spend has explained
it to us, and we'll hear.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
From him Lord Willing later in the week.

Speaker 3 (40:04):
As winter weather could happen again, even in some of
the places where it just happened, definitely going to be,
you know, really really cold for a lot of places
where it's not usually as cold as it's going to be,
and you know, the climate activists will jump up and
down again and they'll conveniently forget that it's not unprecedented.
People will start saying things like it hasn't been this
cold here since, you know, and then they'll give you

(40:26):
a date when it actually was. But anyway, so we
got I mean where we live, I mean we're not talking.
I mean, our our situation was was no big deal,
no big deal whatsoever except the fact that, as we
said last week to you where we live, and we
even did some of this on the show, which a
lot of you seem to enjoy, we don't know what

(40:48):
to do with any sort of winter weather if it
involves snow sleep We I mean, we don't know what
to do. We lose our minds. Like I said, coming
on the show yesterday, it's it's the apocalypse, it's the
end of time. We we we stock our homes like
we're going to be unable to get to food for months.
Uh and and and what happened on Friday here was

(41:11):
the driving conditions were perfectly fine where we were uh
by the time really the show was over and definitely
a few hours later my travel was not impended at
all over over the over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
So one thing I'm wondering about, okay, is the US
Postal Service.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
Now. I know the US Postal Service is not as
important to us now as it once was when when
everything when every when everything was mail. We don't have
to really with that anymore.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
But there are.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
Still things that come to your mail box that are important,
still still still uh and and uh like I was,
you know, with us starting a new company this year.
The accountant probably more casual than I would have liked,
mentioned yesterday, had you ever get such and such card
from the government about payroll? I don't think, and be

(42:10):
careful it's uh, it's something that might look like you
need to throw it away, be sure you pay attention.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Of course I immediately think, Tom, we don't do good.
That's not good.

Speaker 3 (42:18):
Well, when he described it, I thought, I thought to myself,
I said Okay, should I have already gotten it?

Speaker 2 (42:23):
He goes, not really, but you will get it in
the next few days.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
Don't throw it away. So am I right or am
I wrong? And I told to look around. I don't
know they have it anymore? They have it anymore? Am
I right? Or am I wrong? At one time the
US Postal Service committed to us that nothing could stop
them from delivering the mail.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
Whether rain, no rain, nor sleep nor snow. It was
the model? Am I imagining that? That was their motto?

Speaker 5 (42:54):
I think it was like an unofficial model.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
But was that once said?

Speaker 5 (42:59):
Well, yes it was said, but I don't think it
was said by them.

Speaker 17 (43:03):
I don't know who said it.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
I think it was actually in there.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
They used to, didn't They used to do commercials and
have them out in all kinds of conditions, and they
didn't have this.

Speaker 7 (43:11):
I found this old retro commercial from nineteen eighty nine. Okay,
please watch things have changed.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
You live on to be there.

Speaker 3 (43:21):
Don't think twice service is part of the earning, part
of the country, part of the town, and no one
else does it.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
Does we.

Speaker 15 (43:34):
Reason shows they're in the snow, They're in they're in.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
They're in the rain.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
Okay, So at my house and where we live, no
one could keep from delivering the mail.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
It was not that kind of weather.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
Not only did they not deliver the mail on the
day the day that it came in, which by the
time that I normally get the mail. I know it
affects everybody's mail. But of all people. Now, I might
somebody may say it's telling me all to stay at home.
But if I'm a US Postal worker in the days,
you know, well, one time I thought they were part

(44:22):
of the military.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
I mean that they were talking about it.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
Hey, rain sleep snow no matter what stops, no matter
what the the the and some people are saying, Rick,
you may be confusing the US Postal Service with the
Pony Express.

Speaker 2 (44:37):
Maybe Rick, We're not that old. We're delivery.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
And here's the thing I've noticed, not only have did
they not delivered the mail on Friday for some reason,
And I don't know why they didn't deliver it Saturday either, really,
and and and that was like the roads are perfectly
and I ended up not getting anything from the US
Postal Service. It looked like that they shut down on

(45:05):
delivering for almost three full days. And and and I
was like just in time, of course from Martin Luther
King Jr. Day coming up on Monday.

Speaker 9 (45:13):
But but they had they messed with my mind because
they delivered the mail on Sunday afternoon at my house
and it was just a stack of stuff because it
was from the last couple of days. But they worked
on Sunday and delivered.

Speaker 2 (45:26):
But it was threw me off because I was like,
yes and again, yeah, there's the mail delivers on Sunday.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
But I'm back to this this this is white truck,
you know.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
But my point is what was impending them from delivering
the mail where we were.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
I think they just thought they couldn't deliver it because
I drove home Friday after the ship.

Speaker 2 (45:47):
There was nothing I could have I could have put
mail out.

Speaker 5 (45:50):
I've been driving.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
That sounds now we know that newman from Seinfeld, that's
a different thing.

Speaker 2 (45:54):
He wouldn't even deliver in the rain. But Jerry, which
was delarious.

Speaker 7 (45:59):
Remember when Jerry like delivered thirty percent of the packages
and he said, stop, you're making us all look bad.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
Yes, yeah, what a great absence. So I just it
just it doesn't I don't feel I think it feels
like now anything can stop the mail from being delivered. Okay,
it doesn't feel like it's it's we won't deliver.

Speaker 9 (46:15):
There was a there was one day when I was
talking to the soci Security Administration government and I did
find a blessing inside the program. But she said that
that they, yeah, well I'm not working tomorrow whatever for

(46:37):
a day of morning or something.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
We're closed. Oh and a guy who was one hundred
died time out, time out. They did celebrate that. And
I don't know, but I don't know what day it was.
It was one of the.

Speaker 5 (46:53):
So it was the day of morning.

Speaker 2 (46:55):
Yeah, what do you mean every time a president former
president dies, we don't deliver mail? That was my question.

Speaker 12 (47:01):
I don't deliver.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
It's like they we are morning for It's like they
declared a holiday.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
Yeah, but it hadn't been long enough, right, don't that
like the next year and they had to go through
the process and we don't have another.

Speaker 9 (47:13):
The funeral was here, I go with my mind. The
funeral was Friday?

Speaker 2 (47:18):
Right? Was it Friday? When we were all it was
it Thursday?

Speaker 5 (47:20):
I thought it was Thursday.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Okay, I think Thursday was the day of morning.

Speaker 5 (47:24):
Yeah, Thursday the national day of Morning for Jimmy Carter.

Speaker 3 (47:27):
So they didn't deliver the mail on Thursday because of
the day of morning. Yes, they didn't deliver the mail
in some parts on Friday because of weather, and then
again on Saturday.

Speaker 9 (47:34):
Now that Sociecurity Administration had a day of morning, I
would think that's a federal office that I'm assuming they
were all closed.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
I don't know that's exactly.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Right, Okay for Jimmy Listen, the Post Office was shut
down for a holiday.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
Yeah, but that's hard. I you know, we've all talked
about it.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
I just thought it didn't seem like that this was
mail delivery stopping weather. The commercial I just saw and
it was the whole one had it up there putting
tire chains on their trucks.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
Yeah, and it shows them hitting the snow.

Speaker 5 (48:03):
Yeah. I've never seen a mail truck with tire time.

Speaker 7 (48:08):
And I've never seen a male person put them on
portrayed in that commer.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, God fearing and America

(48:39):
loving the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
Yeah, let's go twenty one minutes now past the hour,
as that we are working through another day today and
the will isn't in play today with the Will is
going to play today. It's gonna play today. Glad you're here.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
We'll get in some of your phone calls too, before
the hour's done.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Eight eight eight six, big box. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:10):
A minute ago, I was trying to say the word
impede and I didn't know what impeding, if that's a word,
and I started saying impending. Thank you once again for
all of you out there helping us with our words.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
Always appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (49:22):
And remember if people like us can have a show,
anybody can, all right, So thank you textures. So, speaking
of textures, we were asking, has there been a change
in the commitment to deliver the mail? It seems like
any tiny obstacle now there's not that that resolve. I

(49:43):
must deliver the mail, no matter the situation. I must
rain sleet, snow. And now it's kind of like, yeah,
that has that changed? And according to a former US
Postal worker, they say, yes.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
Uh I speak.

Speaker 3 (50:05):
If you can scroll down a little bit, that this
former worker coming down a little bit, there's the guy
that said adamles like teen wolf shooting basketball.

Speaker 2 (50:12):
That's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
So it says, yep, when I worked for the Postal
Service many years ago, to go there there is. We
had a maintenance guy that would chain our tires in
the morning and we'd be good to go. I remember
carrying when an ice storm brought down power lines and
trees all over town. Now they don't deliver if it's

(50:37):
seventy degrees and sunny.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
That's a fact. He's exaggerating, but he's making the point.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
Yeah, well so so really, this putt itization of America
has affected everything. Nobody gets after Dabo. I mean we
I mean it's it's like we just we just don't.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
We don't. We just don't say, hey, I gotta I
gotta make it happen.

Speaker 9 (50:56):
It's can he Yeah, going above and be on miss Yeah,
Now you're now you're classified as an overachiever.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
Well, calm down, try hard. Well, I think it.

Speaker 3 (51:11):
I think it goes back to this again where I
think it's where we underestimated the welfare program because here's
what we didn't factor in. Now, how many of you
have ever seen is it called Cinderella Man?

Speaker 12 (51:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (51:25):
Is that the one? The box? The box it is
in that movie. You will discover that when welfare started,
uh or a government program during the depression and all
that that people would work to pay back the government. Yeah,
and that's that movie has that. Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (51:48):
It was considered bad form if even the government and
your fellow taxpayers helped you through a tough time, which
is fine, and then you get through the tough time,
they would actually want to pay the taxpayers back. And
I think we foolishly thought, well, that attitude will continue
if somebody, you know, we're not going to have people
just knock it out a gear and take money they

(52:11):
don't really need, if for no other reason it'll bother them.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
They don't they won't want to do that. They won't.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
They don't want to sit around and say, oh my goodness,
I'm manly and physically able to work. I'm just choosing
not to and live off other people's tax dollars. We
foolishly thought, well, nobody, I'll be okay with that. And
so I think what's happened too with getting after it
is that we thought to ourselves, if I have employees okay,

(52:38):
and they know they can work, and they know that
we could work today, it'll bother them that we're not.
They'll feel bad about that, they'll feel bad being at
home when they know they can work.

Speaker 2 (52:50):
I don't. I don't think anybody feels bad about that
kind of stuff anymore.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
No, it's I think people are like, right, if the
whole world revolves around how can I get another off
day as opposed to how can I contribute and do
my job well? And how can I find a way
to get something for nothing? Yeah, and there was a
time that would bother you to do that.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Yeah, it would.

Speaker 9 (53:15):
And so and you know, we talk about you know,
the transfer portal and NILS and College of Sports and stuff,
but you know, we're employees are a lot like that
in a in a different what kind of way. They're
not reliable anymore. They're only reliable until something else comes
up they like better. And so it's tough to keep

(53:38):
good people that want to create a career and and
you know, and build because they're always looking to move
to the next best thing, kind of like the transfer
portal is now. And so it's tough to have established
you know, United States Postal workers that you know that
are there for a minute, They only stay there for

(53:58):
a short period of time and then they move on
to something else. That could be because of the system
so bad. I don't know that's true yet, but you know,
you hear from some of them. It's like, well, man,
there's not a whole lot of us because we're having
to take different routes because everybody keeps leaving because several staff.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
Some people think this work is too hard.

Speaker 3 (54:12):
I ain't doing this, yeah, especially if I can go
home and take a check for doing nothing right. But
but yeah, sad well, And also my heart goes out
to the US Postal worker because I've seen your boss,
and boy, that's the US government. Good gracious, I can't
imagine working for them. So so anyway, it was just
something somebody said. Also, hell was on there too, Okay, So.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
I think common sense here.

Speaker 9 (54:38):
We're not saying if if it's snowing so bad you
can't even get to your mail box to check it,
we're not talking about that. We were talking about where
we are, ye kind of.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
And we're just talking about the motto. Does that motto
they even say it anymore?

Speaker 18 (54:50):
Right?

Speaker 2 (54:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (54:50):
I thought I thought it would be based on where
you are, Okay, where these people are, that there's no
way we can deliver the mail. Okay, where we are,
there's there's nothing we could deliver it easy today, no problem.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Well, and it goes back to what you were saying, speedy.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
I mean even in the nil okay, if nil were available,
and all of us, by the way, are nil.

Speaker 2 (55:12):
We're all getting paid to do a job. It bothers me.

Speaker 3 (55:16):
If somebody's paying me and I don't think they're getting
their money's worth, that bothers me. I see, now, it
seems like that you should be thrilled with paying me this,
and you should be thrilled that I even remotely took
this money from you the way I always see and
right now, if I'm not coming here ready to work
every day, it bothers me because I'm getting paid for this,

(55:40):
and I don't want people paying me that are thinking
I'm not getting what I am paying for. That bothers me.
I don't come here thinking it's a privilege to be
paid to do this. I come here saying it's a
privilege to be given a job to do this, and
I want the people who are paying me to feel
that I'm worth every dime I'm getting paid.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
What what happened to that attitude?

Speaker 3 (56:04):
That's gone long gone for a lot of people, not everybody,
So mirrors just don't exist anymore. Nobody can look at
themselves no and say I don't really think I'm carrying
my weight. I don't think that I'm doing what I'm
getting paid to do very well. That that bothers me,
that that drives me, and I want to I want

(56:26):
to feel like if somebody's writing me a check to
do a job, that's the easiest check they can write,
because I say, got some of it.

Speaker 2 (56:31):
It gets in here every day and gets after and.

Speaker 5 (56:35):
Good attitude to have.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
Well, I'm just but that was not even something abnormal.
That's used to be the way that most everybody operated.

Speaker 5 (56:43):
Yeah, I saw a text from one that's.

Speaker 2 (56:44):
Not weird what I just said. That ought to be
the way everybody is.

Speaker 7 (56:48):
I saw a text from somebody that works at the
post office and they said, yeah, it's a shame.

Speaker 5 (56:51):
We pay good, it's a good job, but people just
don't want to work. I work at the post office,
and y'all are right, No, that is true.

Speaker 3 (57:00):
The biggest problem that you get from people who are
employing people, they're saying, I got jobs, I got checks.
People just don't want to work, and that's that's not.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
Good for our overall country. I'll say you that we'll
be right back.

(01:00:09):
before we move forward into some of our political updates today.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Speedy, I am sorry. Yeah, thank you, Bud. Now, this
is not about scratching your truck. This is this is
anything well you We've only been doing this show now
for in our second week, and I've already haven't apologized twice. Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 9 (01:00:28):
I don't know about y'all, but every now and then,
Terry will call movie night at the house every now
and then, and it normally doesn't line up because things
are just happening. But last night we were only two there,
everybody's gone, and she said, hey, how about an early
dinner in the movie?

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
What do you think?

Speaker 9 (01:00:44):
I'm like, yeah, and I brought up Gladiator too. I
said it gets out and available now, and what how's that?

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
And she said, yes, let's let's go for it.

Speaker 9 (01:00:54):
So we start watching it, and the whole time I'm
thinking about what you've said. Man, you didn't care for
it that much. And one of the reasons you didn't
care for it is you felt like the lead actor
the Gladiator was they didn't cast the right the right guy.
I just say he was, He said, he just didn't.
You didn't buy into his character.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
I didn't.

Speaker 9 (01:01:15):
And and so the whole movie, which I enjoyed, the
whole movie, I'm thinking, this isn't the right guy.

Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
You're not buying in.

Speaker 9 (01:01:22):
And the whole movie I couldn't enjoy it because of you.
Thank and it's really okay, you burgess boys.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
There's no whole time I'm thinking I did. I didn't
tell Terry this one time.

Speaker 9 (01:01:34):
I kept it to myself because I didn't want to
pull you and ruin it for her right And so
she she we we finished up.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
She's like, I really liked that. Did you like it?

Speaker 9 (01:01:42):
And I went, yeah, Well, but the whole time, I'm thinking, man,
they don't have the right guy influence.

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
And I start watching. I start watching the movie thinking
who else could it have been? You know?

Speaker 9 (01:01:52):
I like Denzel Washington. Sure his role was a little different.
It was surprised me, but.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
By the I don't like when I'm being asked not
to like Denzel Washington. I didn't like that either. No,
I didn't like how it turned.

Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
But I mean, oh, he's a bad guy eventually.

Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
It's been that a long time now, it's not that
it really happened. Don't get too attached to Denzel.

Speaker 5 (01:02:19):
I'm not watching it now, out do y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
But do you agree?

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
Is there a chance? There's no way to know? There's
no Well, maybe we can, maybe we can, there's no
way to know. I wish there was some way I
could know if you would have bought that actor as
the Gladiator, if I'd never said anything.

Speaker 7 (01:02:35):
Yeah, he's very impressionable, is INCREDI you.

Speaker 9 (01:02:40):
Gotta watch what you say around speed steer him wrong. No,
see this isn't turning on me.

Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
So he's the one that ruined.

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
It, not me.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
Well, and just watched the movie.

Speaker 5 (01:02:51):
I just watched the manipulated, very easily.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
Influenced.

Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
He's tricked easily.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Jim Jones would love him. Yeah, the drink drinking, Thank you, Rick,
I appreciate that. But all right, I'm not going to
say anything else what you already have. I'm gonna say
anything else.

Speaker 9 (01:03:16):
The whole time, I'm thinking, man named this cast, this guy?
Who could it have been? I start, you know, my mind,
I'm sure through it?

Speaker 7 (01:03:23):
And yeah, what about like uh Patrick Swayze or something.

Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
If we catch.

Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
You can only cast actors who are alive and would
be in the right age bracket now to be that gladiator.

Speaker 9 (01:03:39):
I will say this though, how great was Russell Crowe
in the original.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
Man you're talking about?

Speaker 7 (01:03:46):
Now?

Speaker 9 (01:03:47):
I'm not talking about personal life because I know he's
a crazy one, but I think i've I've heard that there,
I am saying it, but they do some flashbacks and hey.

Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
Wow, he's so solid, I know.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
And then again, any worse I think any worse. Dreg
came in today. He thought Channing Tatum should have been
in what you know? Surprising what I know?

Speaker 5 (01:04:09):
Greg's a big chantingating fanes.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Basally he starts doing all that breakdance. It should be
John Wick.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Now hey wait a minute, Okay, now is the age? Yeah,
I don't know if I can buy.

Speaker 9 (01:04:26):
But those are the kind of things that are going
through my mind.

Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
I watch. It would have been great.

Speaker 5 (01:04:30):
All the Rock definitely Mel Gibson at.

Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
His prime and it's prime. Yeah, but you can't take
the Rock and that serious the bigger.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Movie. See him in the arena. I'd love to see
the Rock in the arena.

Speaker 5 (01:04:44):
Yeah, Norris, I would have been good. He can we
hear Russell cross, Are you entertain?

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Of course we can't.

Speaker 17 (01:04:54):
You're not at the tag.

Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
Very entertain.

Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
Yes, I wish somehow we could have had Russell Crowe
in his prime and then put Denzel in the role
he's in and put them together.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Yeah it is Russell Crowe still fat? Or was that
for a movie?

Speaker 5 (01:05:12):
I think he's fat, Thank you, Greg. I think he's
still fat.

Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
The what was the movie where he was like the
drone operator? Did y'all say that? No? I did not?

Speaker 8 (01:05:21):
I did?

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
What was that.

Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
Of Bad?

Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
It was good?

Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
Land of Bad?

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
I don't know remember? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, And he stayed
away trying to walk. Yeah, you were the one that
told me to watch. Yeah, he didn't leave his post.
He's like, no, I'm gonna stay and yeah.

Speaker 21 (01:05:39):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
The last time I saw Russell Crowe being interviewed about Gladiator,
he was still fat.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
I think he's hung on to him.

Speaker 5 (01:05:46):
Yeah he had.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
It wasn't for a role. You know, he's just sitting
around talking. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:50):
And it was on some sort of show or podcast
or something, and he was he's large.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Because yeah, I did this.

Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
You know how I remember? Because you have land? How
we live for this kind of stuff. I was like,
I just know, you know, and she was like, well,
I mean you know that roads like that. I mean,
these guys they got to get into shape. I said,
have you seen Russell Crowe Modern Day? And she goes no.
I said, we'll take a look at this. It's a
long way and I walked it over and show. She goes,
that's not Russell cross It absolutely is. Yeah, well thanks,

(01:06:19):
but there he is.

Speaker 9 (01:06:19):
You know, we don't have many movie rights at the house. Yeah,
I don't have them wow side by side.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
So you couldn't even enjoy the movie.

Speaker 3 (01:06:26):
You you couldn't even enjoy the movie because you you struggling.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
Well, Rick, tell me this guy wouldn't cast Now, I
got to see if I can. Yes, the whole time.
As of what I'm thinking, Rick Speedy, is we say,
we're talking about a series on Netflix. If I give
it just a slight bit of negative, should I just
stop watching it? I mean watching not? I mean, am
I wasting my time? I'm well, the two of you.

Speaker 9 (01:06:48):
You know what, y'all what y'all say matters like to
other people.

Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
It does? You know, words matter.

Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
To think before you Yeah, yeah, what you're saying here,
be careful how you wield that weapon.

Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
You can't just say and leave the room.

Speaker 12 (01:07:05):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
That way kind of fired about that's it. That's over
watching it, and all you can think of the whole
time is this.

Speaker 17 (01:07:16):
Miscast is the whole time.

Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
But that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
Wasn't my cod just how I felt about it.

Speaker 9 (01:07:20):
I started like digging it a little bit and I'm
like and then something else comes out.

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
I'm like, well, Greg would make fun of that.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
Okay, So now did you did your wife Terry feel
like the casting was perfectly fine?

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
I still to this I have not brought it up. Okay.
I just keep that one to myself because I didn't
want to ruin it for her. Well you do that all,
y'all would have been what I am. Right. So, now
that the movie's over, could you do this a rhino?
You really can't. You can't.

Speaker 5 (01:07:45):
By the way, how was the casting of the Rhino?

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
It was pretty good. Did that bother you the fact
that somebody looked too fake?

Speaker 12 (01:07:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
No, I was all right.

Speaker 9 (01:07:51):
I just watch Sometimes I just watch a movie because
I want to relax and be entertained.

Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
I don't critique every second of Well, you know what
Greg said, we wish we could be it'd be a
better all. I don't know that it's gullible. I think
I think it's trying to relax. He gets in his
mind just be entertained and not think are you not entertained?
So I asked her to go home today and ask Terry,
just don't to make a big deal of it. So

(01:08:16):
how'd you think the guy that was the gladiator in
that movie? Now you think that actor was.

Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
A good case?

Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
I'll have to say with that look on my face,
I'm gonna give a look like you're not concerned like
my face? Right? Did you look like you just tasted?
It's not like that.

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
This is the Rick Burcher's show, only in America. Could
these four men do this for a living God bless America.
This is the Rick Butcher's Show.

Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
Yeah, here we go. I thank you for being with us. Uh.
The wheel's gonna spend today absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
Will it be bundles, will it be a bit or
will it be bucks?

Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
We'll see you can join our winners last.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Week that walks away with they're getting checks in the mail,
you know if the mails everage delivered from Big Box
Entertainment two thousand dollars strong. So we'll see what happens
on the program today. Be paying attention. Another opportunity coming
your way today. So all right, before we move on,

(01:09:30):
and there's some questions we're getting to that we will
address next segment. Greg did try to watch an episode
of two Polo, King of Tupolo whatever it was called. Well,
we'll talk about that coming up right, yeah, right now.
You know, we've got an inauguration coming Monday. I don't
know if y'll know about this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
Yeah, so, uh, big deal.

Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
So you know, we all forget that President Biden for
another week less than a week now is still president.
We we've forgotten he was president a long time ago,
and I think he may have as well. But he's
about to make a comment that is kind of odd

(01:10:12):
since we know that Trump won going away, not not
even close in the last election. Uh, and now he's
suggesting in this clip Adler that that he thinks he
would have beaten Trump, and also boy thinks Kamala.

Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
Would have beaten him. Yes, but but but but she
but she but she didn't? Right, they actually did? All right,
So here is here's President Biden. President, you regret your
decision to run into re election. Do you think that
that made it easier for your predecessor now become very successful.
I don't think so.

Speaker 10 (01:10:49):
I think I would have beaten Trump, could have beaten Trump,
and I think that Kamala could have.

Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Beaten Trump, would have been Trump. It was about.

Speaker 10 (01:11:03):
I thought it was important to unify the party, and
when the party was worried about whether or not I
was going to be able to move, I thought, even
though I thought I could win again, I thought it
was better to unify the party and I had it
was the greatest honor in my life to be president
of the United States. But I didn't want to be
one who caused a party that wasn't unified to lose

(01:11:27):
an election, and that's why I stepped aside. But I
was confident she could win.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
Okay, okay, all right.

Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
So here there at the end, he kind of saves
it because when you hear the first part of that,
he he's not does anybody say you're you're saying that
you think that she will?

Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
She didn't. He's saying he thought she would. The reason
why I stepped down is I thought she could be Trump.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
That's what I thinks he could have too. Now that
that right there.

Speaker 7 (01:11:56):
Yeah, they kicked you out, Joe, Sorry, buddy, party kicked
you out.

Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
You got a lot of money for it too. Probably.

Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
I love when he said I didn't want a party
that wasn't unified because that might cost us the election.
That's what happened the Also, this is that thing he
gets to go into that world. We've all seen this before.
You know, the team that got put on probation and
they were undefeated and they weren't allowed to be in
the playoff, and then they declare they would have won it. Yeah, right,

(01:12:26):
if if I had been there, it wouldn't whatever happened
wouldn't have happened. If I had betten you, I could have.
So now he'll get to save for the rest of
his life.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
Steppane.

Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
Now is the best thing for his family because now
they can say for the rest of their lives, well,
he would have won. If they had done that, he
would have beat Trump. And so so he's in that category.
Also Video two, Peter Doocy, Uh and Kareem Jean Pierre.
We've enjoyed their little romance over the last couple of

(01:12:55):
years we have and uh watching their goodbye yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:13:00):
I saw this clip yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
A lot of you may have if not here it
is uh And here he is kind of doing the
in another week, we're done, I guess at this time
two weeks when he said it, right, So here is
Peter Doucey kind of doing a goodbye to Press Secretary
Kareem John Pierre.

Speaker 2 (01:13:18):
Here we go, Hi.

Speaker 9 (01:13:21):
If I don't see you again, you know in the
brief thank you for all ways.

Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
You could have stopped taking the hard questions years ago,
and he didn't, So we appreciate that.

Speaker 22 (01:13:31):
We're two years my friend. This is a let's say,
one last dance, right. I don't know how I'm going
to fill my my dance card now. How will I
fill that void without you?

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
He told me.

Speaker 22 (01:13:46):
So some rumors in here, I guess down.

Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
So a week from now, it's all over us between
next Monday and twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 23 (01:14:05):
Twenty twenty eight, who was the leader of the Democrat
Oh goodness.

Speaker 22 (01:14:08):
Wow, that is Honestly, that is for people much smarter
than I to make that assessment, that decision. Obviously voters
will decide. That is not something for me to decide.

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
I could say, wow, okay, wow, that was a little
what was that.

Speaker 5 (01:14:25):
Was that was more pleasant than I thought.

Speaker 8 (01:14:27):
It would be.

Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
Borderline flirtatious. It was borderline one problem there, Well I
knew that, and I mean, yeah that one. There's there's
the cracking. I mean we were all thinking no, I
mean like bargain on the wrong tree.

Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Well, Greg, we all we all may think things, we
just don't say them every time. And it appears that
you and the thinking and the saying kind of go
kind of go hand and handed.

Speaker 2 (01:14:57):
Yeah, playful fun right, Yeah, that's that's a little.

Speaker 5 (01:15:03):
What's that Paul McCartney Stevie Wonder song?

Speaker 2 (01:15:08):
Are you talking ebony and ivory?

Speaker 5 (01:15:11):
I am?

Speaker 2 (01:15:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:15:13):
So are y'all a little shocked that she made it
as long as she did. I know I would have
I would have thought she's tough.

Speaker 7 (01:15:24):
I'll say that. I mean right she uh man, I
guess she's She and I are not the same. She
and I are not the same. I would have not
continued that job.

Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
I'm going to go this far.

Speaker 5 (01:15:37):
I think saying a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
I think they got more in common than you know,
by small I got cool hair.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Right, that's it. That's that's the one, Greg, Just that's sure.
That's I'm sure that's all you mean.

Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
So so anyway, but I think that I think we
should consider hiring her because honestly, trying to sell us
on the product that she just tried to sell us home.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
It's nothing compared to the uphill climb of selling this product.

Speaker 12 (01:16:14):
Really yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:16:15):
Sure, we got our we got our own challenges, but
nothing compared to what she had to come out and
do on a daily basis in the Biden administration. Real yeah, so,
so be interesting to see where she lands. Y'all think
what MSNBC.

Speaker 5 (01:16:27):
Absolutely has to be right. She's already got a show
lined up.

Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
I'm sure. I'm sure that Rachel and Mattow is probably
our contact.

Speaker 8 (01:16:36):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:16:36):
She hung in there, you know she did. She took
her legs and kept on ticking.

Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
Top of the hour. How did Greg like the reality
series on the Elvison Fersonators The Brothers. We'll talk about
that next.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
This is the Rick Burchers Show.

Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
You better listen up. You know what we says.

Speaker 3 (01:17:22):
I'm gonna tell you gotta find.

Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
Broadcasting from the world the Rick Burchers Show.

Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
That's right, Uh, fake world over real world only.

Speaker 3 (01:17:41):
As we go forward with speedy, Greg and Adler, we're
so glad to be hanging out with you guys again today. Yes, sir,
the will of bundles, bits and bucks will spend today
somebody gets a shot at.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
Some cash today.

Speaker 3 (01:17:57):
She'll be standing by for that opportunity to come your
way at any moment.

Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
Our numbers eight eight eight, the number six in big
box and also text us at the same line.

Speaker 3 (01:18:10):
Rick Burgessshow dot Com is the website. You can go
there find out everything you wanted to ever know about
the show. And since we're about to ask Greg something,
I do want to remind some of you as you
go to the new website, and man, we're so excited
about how you know, it looks looks nice, it's new,
it's happening, it's fresh. And we've added a little feature

(01:18:33):
there called Rick's Picks and this is things like document
you're looking for.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
Recipes y'all have asked us about.

Speaker 3 (01:18:42):
And the folks at High Level Marketing did a great
job because Greg's wife Lisa sent to us the coffee
punch recipe. It was her handwritten recipe, and you know,
I kind of expected when I sent it to the
High Level marketing'd be like, well, can you type this
out for us or whatever and boom they had it

(01:19:04):
up in minutes.

Speaker 9 (01:19:05):
I thought that was funny. That was shocking. You just
send them a picture of it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:09):
Yeah, can you believe they just said that's all we need.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
So anyway, so Lisa's coffee punch recipe now listed with
the other recipes. Proceed with caution. Yes it did it?
Diddar to kill a man? Yeah, so you can. You
can find it at Rick's Picks there at Rick burgesshow
dot com. Okay, so everybody's asking Greg, there were two
assignments that the the audience gave to you, Greg needs

(01:19:35):
to watch. Is it Kings of Tupelo? I think so
something like that. These are two the King and Tupeloh,
and I'm not sure what order. And they claim to
be the world's first ever Elvis impersonators. Who are brothers.
I got a question on that. They said, Guinness, how
was that a record? I don't know if you're the
only question, but they said that Guinness put them in there,

(01:19:56):
and I'm thinking that doesn't fit yep, are I'll follow
me on anyways, But they call themselves Double Trouble. Wasn't
there an Elvis movie called Double Trouble? I think I
think and they performed, want to be dressed in a
certain outfit and the other you know all the outfits and.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
Do they match the Elvis outfits?

Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
No, No, they want to be wearing one want to
and uh it Uh this is guys. Uh almost throw
it in there with Tiger King. I'm not I'm not hooked.
I think there's three episodes.

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
I watched one you got harvesting body parts in sold
on the black market. What someone sending.

Speaker 3 (01:20:37):
Because they started out the beginning all this news reports
of somebody sending these uh envelopes to Washington into a
center's office from Mississippi that's gotten ice and whatever, some
poison in it, and somehow that's tied we we ain't pulled.

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
That in yet. They just threw it out the beginning.

Speaker 3 (01:20:52):
But it's a really, really bizarre I'm battling two things here,
the weirdness of it. Secondly, I don't think I'm feeling
a little bit like maybe we're exaggerating.

Speaker 2 (01:21:03):
You know, trying to be a character. Uh, you don't
think a genuine article. I don't know. Then, I know
you're a stickler on genuine, genuine article. I want to
see how it ties into this terrorist thread or whatever.
The poisoning thing I was telling you about. I'm not
sure how they're tied to it yet, basically they're tied
to poisoning somebody.

Speaker 3 (01:21:21):
They just showed the headlines of all that at the beginning.
How we do now we can show stuff and then
we go back and we brothers who are Elvis impersonators
may have poisoned someone and harvested their organs.

Speaker 2 (01:21:31):
No that he discovered that.

Speaker 3 (01:21:33):
The that's a big conspiracy going on, one of the brothers,
and he exposed it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:37):
Okay, that's where I'm at. Now, do they stay as
Elvis is going on?

Speaker 3 (01:21:41):
No, they're not like when Jessco dresses as Elvis and
actually thinks is. They are only when they're performing. Now
they do have the Elvis hair all the time. Yeah,
even doing this a wig no, okay. And but it's
it's bizarro. I'm gonna give it another round. I just
I just got to see. But it's a strange one,
so more more bizarre than it is funny.

Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
Yeah, it's not like a Jestico or nothing like that.
So far, you're disappointed in it, little okay, Yes, it's
just hard to follow, very hard.

Speaker 9 (01:22:13):
I want watch it now how many yeah, how many episodes?

Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
I think three and you've only seen one. Yeah, how
about this? Some people are saying stay with it, okay,
some people saying stay with it. So but because maybe
if all that will come together. But they you know,
they started out showing all these newscasts of these there's
been an envelope that had nice in them. I'm probably
saying that wrong. Who cares delivery?

Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
I think you're right?

Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
And that was twenty thirteen. Do y'all remember that twenty thirteen?
What about the envelopes had poison on them?

Speaker 12 (01:22:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:22:41):
Yeah, kind of.

Speaker 5 (01:22:42):
Yeah, it was Obama. Somebody sent Obama really had a
couple of senators.

Speaker 2 (01:22:47):
Okay from miss remember tied in it because he's against
the guy. I do remember that, seems like because he
named some like funeral homes that were supposed to end
on this harvesting and selling stuff, and he's getting a
little blowback on.

Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
I don't even that. You're awful and all that. So
tell me about them his brothers being Elvis impersonators. That's
where we're very very little up to this point.

Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
They're not.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
They're not as genuine article as you had hoped. I
can tell by the look when you face Yeah, not really.
What about what about the Tourette's one? Have you have
you caught it yet?

Speaker 2 (01:23:16):
Have not? TLC? I missed that? People said they saw
that last night. Maybe you should try that.

Speaker 3 (01:23:21):
I maybe I'm gonna finish this just so I can
finish it. But it's bizarro right now. I mean you
got you got illegal body parts being sold, you got
poisoning people, and then in the middle of that, you
got two guys called Double Trouble, which is a double
Elvis show.

Speaker 9 (01:23:35):
And that's where focused them landing right there, like a
little more of that.

Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
How is their their breakdown? His brothers? Who's they are? They?

Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
One one a lot older than the other, about the
same age. They're not far in a not twins. One
is successful, the other probably not as successful considering all
he's done is a consuming himself and exposing this body
part thing.

Speaker 2 (01:23:56):
Okay on the computer? And how do they do on
Double Trouble?

Speaker 3 (01:24:01):
There's a lot of I didn't really, I guess I
should have. Yeah, you know, that's a big industry, the
Elvis impersonators and all, and listen, they're considered the best.
Oh they they get rave reviews. So did you think
they're Elvis atretty showing as much. They would show just
a little clip and then they would they wouldn't stay

(01:24:22):
with it. Or do you think that's some of your
world that they got to pay royalties every time in
Elvis songs on there?

Speaker 5 (01:24:28):
That's surely okay, that's a great point.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
But don't you need Double Trouble more?

Speaker 24 (01:24:33):
I do?

Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
Maybe you get them more. I don't know, but.

Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
Somebody like speed, he said, some are saying, if you'll
just go on into episode two, get about halfway and
you're there. Did you ever take on the Whittakers? I
knew that was gonna come up on the text now.
The Whittakers are too much from it's too much. Yeah,
they're too much. Okay, stop it, Jesco. Don't go with
Whittakers now.

Speaker 2 (01:24:52):
Whittakers make you feel feel feel like guilty for watching it?
Really well, okay, show s it's yeah, it is scary,
it's very sad. It is it's all the guy that
just goes yes, it's all he does.

Speaker 8 (01:25:06):
He does.

Speaker 7 (01:25:07):
Kings of Tupelo is made by the same people that
did The Wild Wild Country about that guru with his
cult in Oregon that came on, Did you watch.

Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
Yeah, I watched some of that and I got bored.

Speaker 7 (01:25:21):
Yeah, same group is behind both of those videos. I
heard a lot about wild Wall Country. I should probably
check that out, and I'm curious about Kings of Tupelo.

Speaker 5 (01:25:29):
But greg is is.

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
No, no, no, it's worth the watch. I'm going to
continue now.

Speaker 3 (01:25:33):
Now listen the guy that the one who's who's obsessed
with this conspiracy of body part stuff. He's got a
little language. Basically, you know some people that cuss and
it's funny with that cuss. He's one of those.

Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
Oh okay, so these are the funny cussing. Yeah, yeah,
is this something about it? So you're not giving episode
one a very high rate? Well it was. It's really
it doesn't land, It can't land the plane. It's just
all I was too confusing right now too. I mean
I didn't see the body part thing coming. Well you were?
You do episode two? Yeah, okay, I'm gonna go finish it.

(01:26:06):
If it was like ten, No, there's three I knew
for it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:10):
Well, this is the Rick Burgess Show. Three Cities, three

Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
You get podcasts coming up this Saturday, So make a
note of that. Some of you ask when the last
CD will hit streaming services. That should be this Thursday,
So one do I want to make you aware of
that as well. So Greg, before we move on with
the show, everybody's telling you to stick with the Kings
of Tuffalo And then the one that was on til

(01:27:56):
C what is it called Adler, what's the name of.

Speaker 7 (01:27:59):
It called Balin Out loud, and I was excited about
it until I found out that her tourette syndrome is
all rated.

Speaker 5 (01:28:08):
She's got all rated touretts.

Speaker 3 (01:28:09):
A lot of time, and I'm afraid you just Greg
Greg anyway, you cannot watch that.

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
I'm gonna have to give that a look. Okay, so
is this a clip?

Speaker 7 (01:28:19):
I did find a clip where she she isn't swearing
and it pertains to the show because, uh so, evidently
there's a bald camera guy.

Speaker 3 (01:28:29):
Okay, all right, speedy, So do you know are you
gonna You're not gonna play that?

Speaker 7 (01:28:34):
Right, She's gonna she's gonna say something to the bald
guy and she so she's saying, I can't look at
that guy.

Speaker 5 (01:28:40):
And she's talking about the bald camera guy. So here
it is.

Speaker 25 (01:28:45):
Him because every time I see a bald person, I
have to tell them that they're bald.

Speaker 3 (01:28:51):
So you're both.

Speaker 26 (01:28:52):
The most random things can become a tech or ticks,
Tourette syndrome stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:29:02):
I'm not buying you think she's faking.

Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
She's faking it.

Speaker 7 (01:29:06):
She's saying some really weird, having weird stuff that we
can't watch. It be very embarrassing to say it just
like to normal you know, to a normal person.

Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
I have to watch it all right, So you're you're great,
You're you're getting he's getting tougher and tougher all this
kind of stuff. He is, he's a tough audience. Yeah, well,
Rick now every day. Now you know how it is?
Nothing's real?

Speaker 3 (01:29:29):
Well, I know, Greg, but it's almost like I don't
want it to make you jaded. Where you want you
wanted to give these things.

Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
Let me tell you this. The whitakers, I'm looking round here,
they're real. Yeah right. Unfortunately, we can't. We cannot do that.
You look at that. We cannot do that. I can't.
That is a that's a no. It makes me as

(01:29:59):
we when we were thinking about something new. The only
thing better than a will of beats, it's a will
that has money, money, money, money, money, money. So here
we go money.

Speaker 3 (01:30:16):
Somebody going to get an opportunity to pick a member
of the show, a member of the show if you
are the correct caller, and that person will spend on
your behalf.

Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
Did Greg have the hot hand last week? He did?
He did. But then you but then you have to
stay with You have to think to yourself, how.

Speaker 3 (01:30:34):
Long can that streak continue. Is it possible He's due exactly.
So I believe you win either way because it's it's
a wheel of bundles, which means you could win something
from the Rick Burgess Shows store, the new swag. It
could be a bit, it lands on a bit that
we have to do, and it could be you know,
there's a number of those on the on the wheel. Uh,

(01:30:56):
it could be it could be bucks, it could be cash.
I think since we have started in twenty twenty five,
our caller right now will be twenty five. Okay, yeah,
I know you panic that was gonna do call her
twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:31:08):
But I was just slightly yeah and okay, good.

Speaker 3 (01:31:12):
That looks like the mouse is off to a good
start today. All right, So the mouse.

Speaker 2 (01:31:15):
Is all right?

Speaker 3 (01:31:15):
So let's go one, two threes, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
dream and then eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen,
nineteen twenty, and then we go twenty one, twenty two,

(01:31:36):
twenty three, twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
Hey, it's the Rick Burgess Show. What's your name? And
where are you call him from? Helloa? Hey, Sawyer, it's Rick. Yeah,
it's Ricks. It's Greg and it's Adler. I hope you're
okay today. I'm here too.

Speaker 3 (01:31:54):
All right, So Sawyer, of the four of us, who
do you pick to spind the wheel to see what
it's gonna land on for you today?

Speaker 5 (01:32:03):
I'll give it to speedy, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
Speed speed, sure pressure. So here he's gonna tough you
to live up to my spending, Sawyer. Are you hoping
for money? I guess kind of dumb question, isn't it?
All right? So here we go, yeah, spending for Sawyer.
All right, let's see what happens. Will it be a bundle?
Will it be a bit? Or will it be bucks?

Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
Sorry, I'm know b b or be? How you listening
to the show? You're watching it or listening?

Speaker 18 (01:32:33):
Well, I'm watching on YouTube because al radio station quick
carrying it?

Speaker 27 (01:32:38):
Uh bosats box, Sawyer, you didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:32:49):
You did not win bucks, and it did not land
on a bit, and it did not land uh, but
it did get on a bundle, which means you now
have two seats that you can come. We'll get with you,
will schedule a day you and whomever you want to
bring will get to come sit in the box seats
and watch a rick Birders show.

Speaker 28 (01:33:08):
Hey, that'll work.

Speaker 8 (01:33:09):
That's awesome.

Speaker 28 (01:33:10):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:33:10):
All right, so let me let me let's put you
on hold, uh and then we'll get all your information
and uh and we'll let you come. I watch your
show here this year. Okay, all right, thank you, thank you, Sawger. Yeah,
a lot of you are asking about you know that
that particular affiliate. It it's a it's a business deal.
It has to do with Benes and so that's that's
between them and the syndicator. Uh, and they're working it out. Okay,

(01:33:34):
I'll leave it at that. Okay, So it just I
don't want to but it's they want the show. We'd
love to have them back. Between us and them is
the syndicator who I'll tell you this and it's all
you need to know. He's Sicilian and a New Yorker.
M So, so there you go. And h you know,

(01:33:55):
it's not not overly known for saying, you know that
being passive when it comes down to Bene ben as
We've had some of our affiliates in the South say before.

Speaker 2 (01:34:07):
I talked to you, your man, that the syndicator and
he doesn't seem willing to compromise. So you we've and
then when I tell them he's not only a New Yorker,
he's Sicilian. Oh, I guess I had to get back
to the table with him. And so so there you go.
So that's their face. I don't know that that face

(01:34:28):
comes with well possible.

Speaker 3 (01:34:31):
So Sawyer will come in the box seats. As a
matter of fact, when we get our first Monday in February,
we'll have the first ever people in the box seats.
One of them will get a chance to have the
the wheel spun for them.

Speaker 15 (01:34:44):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
And then if you're wondering when the next month opens,
because it is full right now, we'll do that toward
the end of this month. Then we'll open up March.
So be watching for that and you can find those
links and how to do that all right there at
Rick burgesshow dot com. Okay, so saw your saw will
come see us and then you know.

Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
You never know.

Speaker 3 (01:35:02):
I mean today it just feels whell today. You know,
I can't believe this is wheel. I mean, so it's
gonna yeah, I sense I sent more than one spend today.
Uh so wait a minute, way just I just feel it. Heck,
it's our wheel. I mean, we ended up with it
nobody wanted to care if it's too heavy. So I

(01:35:22):
mean we got it.

Speaker 2 (01:35:24):
And you know, we got some cash on there, got.

Speaker 3 (01:35:27):
Some box seats we gave away, Still some bundles on there,
still some bits.

Speaker 2 (01:35:31):
Come on, come on with it.

Speaker 3 (01:35:33):
We got a lot more to cover on today's edition
of The Rick Burgess Show. And uh we will continue
to work through it. Your phone calls before the hour
is up as well. Uh, so stay with us. We'll
be right back.

Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
It's bottom of the hour.

Speaker 1 (01:35:51):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the only show hosted
by an Oxford graduate, well Oxford High School, The Rick

(01:36:12):

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
Now all right, so, uh, congratulations a sawyer Tescumbia, Alabama coming.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
To watch a future show live and in person. Uh
in the box seats.

Speaker 3 (01:36:26):
Okay, so uh be paying attention, make it, make it
another another spin before we're done today, definitely before the week.
So all right, other things that we need to look at. Uh,
let's take a look here at my pillow dot com. Yeah,
so great, great savings with our friends at my pillow
dot com.

Speaker 5 (01:36:45):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:36:45):
With the inauguration coming up on Monday, has anybody checked
on Mike Lindelle, I bet he is drawn back like
a flip. You think he's not fared up, ready to go?
Uh so uh go to Oh he is front row
and ready to go my Pillow dot com slash big Vox.
Let's go there right now. Great prices, great products. Thank
you Mike Lindell and My Pillow for continuing on in

(01:37:09):
our partnership. Ten years now. They've been with us. So
let's talk a little bit about everything that's going on there, speedy.
This is kind of stuff you'd like to hear. Up
to eighty percent off, oh now, yeah, eighty percent off
on pajamas, and of course he has hoodies. The whole
world does all types of workout wear, t shirts, drawstring shorts.
Greg was looking at some of those rib knitted hat

(01:37:32):

eighty eight for the standard, eighteen ninety eight for the Queen,
nineteen ninety eight for the King Boy. Now more than ever, So,

(01:37:52):

com slash big vox and you'll see all that there

Speaker 2 (01:38:09):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (01:38:10):
There.

Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
They're working on that and glad to have them with us.
All right, So let's the wildfires, this thing with California
in the wildfires, and we can't get enough, and she'll.

Speaker 2 (01:38:20):
Be riding wy fire she'd be right, Yeah, wildfire that
are raging in La.

Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
How many of you, if you were honest, you're not
gonna miss the way that she governed. You're not gonna
miss her worldview? Are we kind of gonna miss Kamala
Harris commenting on things? Yes, the word sileads. Are we
gonna miss those a little bit? Yeah, they're just.

Speaker 2 (01:38:45):
A little side of me.

Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
I mean, I don't want her in charge of anything,
but so I just I just wonder if I'm gonna
miss things like this. So here's here's Kamala Harris. Those
of you that your life's being destroyed by a wild
fire in California. Now, there's been all kinds of stuff

(01:39:07):
and we have some of that here of people saying
this is these are the moments where we have to
look at socialism and ask ourselves if we still dig it. Okay,
Kamala wants everyone, she wants to tell us something right
at her that's critically important.

Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
I think she used to This is critically critically, critically important.
So here we go.

Speaker 11 (01:39:27):
And so it's critically important that to the extent you
can find anything that gives you an ability to be
patient in this extremely dangerous and unprecedented crisis that you do, and.

Speaker 5 (01:39:44):
That you do, I'll tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:39:47):
I feel better. What if my house does got burned?
I got to tell you. For a minute, I started
looking again and thinking about how bad the Vikings got
beat last night, and wondering if Bubba's okay. But of
course he expected it, so he's fine. But yeah, but
he knew that was gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (01:40:01):
You never So I mean, that's how she doesn't draw
you in at all, unless it's almost like you're just
drawn in by watching the spectacle or listening.

Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
What did she just say? Can anybody tell me what
she just said? I she said it's critically important that
we do something.

Speaker 5 (01:40:19):
You want to hear it again?

Speaker 2 (01:40:20):
Yeah, you can find anything.

Speaker 11 (01:40:24):
Okay, And so it's critically important that to the extent
you can find anything that gives you an ability to
be patient in this extremely dangerous and unprecedented crisis that
you do.

Speaker 2 (01:40:42):
Now, what am I looking for? Because she's telling me
if I, if I need to be patient to the extent,
you can find anything that gives you the ability. What
am I looking for?

Speaker 9 (01:40:53):
She's saying, dig deep for patients things to find anything
that could give me the ability to be patient.

Speaker 2 (01:41:01):
What am I looking for you?

Speaker 7 (01:41:02):
She managed to turn the phrase be patient into a
thirty second sentence.

Speaker 3 (01:41:08):
That's it. And it's also one of these things. I'm
really not that into it, but I'm supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (01:41:13):
I got right, like I'm really caring and use words
and I just can't force myself to like I really care. Okay,
So up next with well, I can think about as
I lost their legs and that's all I'm thinking about.
That's all I can think about. That's all I can
think about it.

Speaker 3 (01:41:27):
And I had everybody convinced, and I think I was
convinced I was actually gonna win.

Speaker 2 (01:41:31):
So that's exactly where she's at.

Speaker 3 (01:41:33):
LA Fires looking a lot like the Maui Fires. TikTokers
are starting because you always want to know what they
You always want to know what the TikTokers think.

Speaker 28 (01:41:42):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:41:43):
Uh, here is someone saying, I see a lot of
similarities here.

Speaker 2 (01:41:47):
Yeah, all right, so here we go.

Speaker 1 (01:41:48):
So let me get this straight.

Speaker 25 (01:41:49):
Two months before the fire, the state depleted its water reserves,
and insurance companies have been castling this fire insurance policy.
It's like it's Maui all over again. But it's not
like the state needs to free up a whole bunch
of land to open up a new Martsi infrastructure, right,
because we haven't announced anything like that, did we. The
LA District might have announced plans to set up a
smart city by twenty twenty eight mm. Sounds like Mally

(01:42:13):
all over again.

Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
All right, So now maybe Gavin Newsom following this, this
guy probably was waiting on these statements. So Gavin Newsom,
who again, I hope everybody's paying attention, any of you
that would like for him to run the country one day,
Gavin Newsom? And this is some sort of it feels
a little marshal. Uh, this plan, like the TikToker is suggesting,

(01:42:44):
because remember, anytime the government sees some sort of tragedy,
they've all been taught by you know, Saul Olenski that
you you don't waste that.

Speaker 2 (01:42:53):
Opportunity to grab power.

Speaker 3 (01:42:55):
So so you know, because remember a lot of times
we'll give the government power we normally would not have
given them if.

Speaker 2 (01:43:00):
We get scared, panic and panic.

Speaker 3 (01:43:02):
So here is here is Gavin Newsom talking about this
out of his own boys, don't do interviewer with NBC news.

Speaker 29 (01:43:10):
Great, But with the course of the next several years, Los
Angeles will be host to the World Cup, and then
the Super Bowl and then the Olympics. With this rebuilding
effort needing to take place, is La going to be
ready for all of those global events?

Speaker 6 (01:43:23):
My humble position, and it's it's and it's it's not
just being naively optimistic. That only reinforces the imperative moving
quickly doing in the spirit of collaboration, cooperation. President of
the United States Donald Trump, to his credit, was helpful
in getting the Olympics to the United States of America
to get it down here in La. We thank him

(01:43:45):
for that. This is an opportunity for him to shine,
for this country, to shine, for California and this community
to shine. The opportunity with all of that and all
that opportunity and that pride and spirit that comes from
not just hosting those three iconic games and venues, uh,
but also the opportunity I think to rebuild at the
same time. And that's why we're already organizing a Marshall plan.

(01:44:07):
We already have a team of looking and reimagining l
A two point zero.

Speaker 2 (01:44:12):
Oh it sounds pretty good. He couldn't stop saying the
word opportunity. Yeah, and at the end critically important. He
look like when those people signed songs he did at
the end, he was doing the hand motion at the end, Oh, God,
isn't awesome? God? He ran, but he would have been

(01:44:36):
saying our government isn't awesome. Government.

Speaker 3 (01:44:38):
We grabbed, but he did win.

Speaker 2 (01:44:41):
You're scared and can we take your he went? He
really did.

Speaker 12 (01:44:47):
He did.

Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
What was the other one that you were doing was
when you were doing the rose is on a Napoleon
dynamite when they're everybody's forgot about North Care line up.

Speaker 7 (01:45:00):
Sure they're actually unprecedented, right, not the fires.

Speaker 9 (01:45:04):
I saw another uh drop spot, I guess drop zone
at a at a local church and some other areas
where they were trying to get donations to send to
North Carolina because nobody has anything right. And I'm like, wow,
so everybody's just forgot about Northina.

Speaker 3 (01:45:19):
Oh you can't. Yeah, remember the government and the headlines.
When there's you know, anything that's catastrophic for a state.
They do pick their favorites. Yeah, every every single time. Uh,
just quickly before we get to the break and we'll
take some phone calls.

Speaker 2 (01:45:34):
Three e uh.

Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
You gotta love this guy that stayed at the Palisades
and with only a garden hose could save his house.
I mean, a garden hose is how he saved the house.
Come on, yeah, now, grab those.

Speaker 13 (01:45:47):
By my mother and father in nineteen sixty and uh,
I lived here my whole life. So there's a lot
of memories here and I think I owed it to
them as well to try my best to save it.
It's something in life are worth fighting for. I mean,
if I were to lose this house, it would be
very difficult to afford to be able to build a
new house to pay the enormous property taxes they have here.

Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
Where would I what.

Speaker 10 (01:46:14):
Would I do?

Speaker 13 (01:46:15):
Here's he's gonna talk about the when I was out
here holding the house down and getting ready and when
the houses started to burn. I didn't see one single
fire truck out here at all.

Speaker 2 (01:46:27):
Zero.

Speaker 13 (01:46:28):
If they had some fire trucks just down to put
a squirt here, a squirt there, and kept an eye
on things, all these houses would be here.

Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
Now mmm.

Speaker 3 (01:46:36):
I mean he was able to do it with a
with a garden hose. The fire departments probably could have
done it. As far as saving the house, looks a
lot like mowings.

Speaker 2 (01:46:48):
Went.

Speaker 5 (01:46:50):
And there's not those big events coming.

Speaker 28 (01:46:52):
What do we do?

Speaker 5 (01:46:53):
Oh, let's burn it down first, That's what they said.

Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
Okay, Yeah, here's our number, a day date, the number six,
and then big vox. We'll chat with you America. All
lines available right after this.

Speaker 1 (01:47:07):

Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (01:48:46):
Go ahead, Hey boy, how you doing? Hey doing great?

Speaker 5 (01:48:50):
Harris?

Speaker 2 (01:48:50):
How about you?

Speaker 8 (01:48:52):
I'm doing good.

Speaker 18 (01:48:53):
Hey, So, I wanted to say thank you all so
much for coming up for coming up Coldwater, Michigan. I
do have to tell you that those great men of
God and Cold Water not necessarily represented it of everybody
over here in West Michigan. Now they do Ohio and
they do uh they do East Michigan really well.

Speaker 5 (01:49:14):
But uh, but we're not.

Speaker 18 (01:49:16):
We're not necessarily going to ask how your mammy is.
But you know it's not necessarily representative of them. Everything
that we are over here.

Speaker 12 (01:49:23):
In West Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:49:24):
Well, you know, you know some of that yesterday too
was you know, comedic licensed tongue in cheek. I do
love when the cultures. I think one of the things
that makes our country so great is that you can
get so many variety of culture, uh, you know, in
the different states and even inside the states, based on
where you are to your point in the state. Now,

(01:49:45):
those guys were great, They were outstanding hosts, and we
really hit it off. The stakes were great, uh and
uh and we had a really good time. But uh
it was but now now bones asking for sweet tea.
Now that that didn't exaggerate that at all. That was
straight up yeah.

Speaker 18 (01:50:01):
So you could have gone to McDonald's and gotten terrible
sweet team.

Speaker 2 (01:50:05):
Oh do they have it?

Speaker 28 (01:50:06):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:50:06):
I guess yeah, Well thank you. How do you How
do you get the show, Harris? Where you are?

Speaker 18 (01:50:11):
I'm a podcaster, so I had to listen yesterday and
then call in today just to uh, just to make
sure that all of our all of our worship leaders,
aren't you know, ninety plus we let them leave worship.

Speaker 2 (01:50:23):
Now, look, let me tell you. You know this, Harris.

Speaker 3 (01:50:26):
You know this because apparently it's sounds like you you're
you're really involved in in your church. There's nothing like
men's ministry. I mean, I keep thinking to myself, I've
got a book coming out this year that it's a
topic that that I've really been wanting to to take on.
But there's one still I've got sitting over on the shelf,
my life in Men's Ministry, Stories from the Road. There

(01:50:49):
there is nothing like men's ministry. I mean, if you
take on men's ministry, get ready for anything.

Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:50:56):
And it is uh and and I love every minute
of it. So so thank you here, so I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (01:51:01):
Yes, sir, thank you, Hi buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:51:03):
See, Uh let's continue. Uh Let's go to Jim Jim's
Out of Birmingham one O four seven w z z K.

Speaker 2 (01:51:11):
Jim. Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show. Go ahead, Thanks man.

Speaker 24 (01:51:15):
I was gonna just mention this to you now. I
haven't done any personal research because it was on the internet,
so I know it's true.

Speaker 2 (01:51:21):
You don't have to worry about it, of course.

Speaker 24 (01:51:23):
But there was a guy that was showing the proposed
new high speed rail system and the fire actually followed
the path of the high speed rail system. And then
he went back and showed in Malibi.

Speaker 28 (01:51:35):
He was Malibu where they had the.

Speaker 24 (01:51:39):
Fires before, there was a high speed rail system proposed there,
and that that the path of that.

Speaker 28 (01:51:44):
Fire followed the rail system. So you know, it may not.

Speaker 24 (01:51:46):
All be just a brand new Los Angeles could be
something like that.

Speaker 12 (01:51:49):
Easy gim.

Speaker 2 (01:51:52):
Now you got it. Altadler started up in there. Yea,
all right, exactly.

Speaker 23 (01:51:58):
Search it out is there?

Speaker 2 (01:52:00):
Okay, Yeah, so that's crazy, Yeah, okay, so.

Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
I can hear you over there. Okay, so we continue that.
This flipped the switch on Adler. He'll watch every single
video on dealing with Maui.

Speaker 2 (01:52:20):
Today.

Speaker 3 (01:52:22):
Let's go to the phones at eight eight eight six,
Big Vox go to the Free State of Florida.

Speaker 5 (01:52:28):
Go right ahead, Keith, Hey, Rick, Hey, I'm not a singer.

Speaker 23 (01:52:33):
I'm a bulldozer man.

Speaker 28 (01:52:34):
I probably run circles around Gary.

Speaker 3 (01:52:37):
Oh hey, let me tell you get your bulldoze round.
I'll get mine. We'll say state.

Speaker 24 (01:52:44):
But I wrote a song, man, It's called rick without.

Speaker 2 (01:52:46):
Bub You've you've written a song?

Speaker 28 (01:52:51):
Yeah, and I can't sing now, so bear with me.

Speaker 2 (01:52:54):
Are you sure you want to take this song?

Speaker 29 (01:52:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
It's a hard room, you know that. Okay, bring it? Okay,
all right, go ahead.

Speaker 28 (01:53:05):
All right.

Speaker 8 (01:53:05):
Brick without Bubba, Rick without Bubba, drop the gravy, please,
Rick without Buba.

Speaker 5 (01:53:11):
Rick without brother brings me to my knees.

Speaker 8 (01:53:14):
Brick without Bubba, Brick without Bubba.

Speaker 23 (01:53:17):
I can start another grick without Bubba. Brick without Bubba,
day without him brother, Brick without Bubba, Rick without Bubba.

Speaker 5 (01:53:26):
Oh there is one other rick without Buba.

Speaker 3 (01:53:29):
Okay, Keith, I've never seen anybody reassure us and let
us down quite so much?

Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
Is what just happened?

Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
That that was, uh, that was about as bad as
it could be. And and and really not even a
lot of effort. I mean the effort there even seemed
just a little bit uh like maybe he was even
going to talk about something else and then change the
topic right before weing on.

Speaker 2 (01:54:01):
So maybe that was the joke. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:54:04):
I warned Keith if he was going to go there,
that he would have to pay the price from the audience.

Speaker 2 (01:54:09):
John, go ahead in the room.

Speaker 8 (01:54:12):
Hey, you guys were talking about enjoying football with ard
without rooting for a team. Yes, of course, there's more
fun when you root for a team. That that emotional
thrill ride you fabricate for yourself is all the fun.
The game itself is just stupid value.

Speaker 5 (01:54:28):
Great point. Great point.

Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
Yeah, I know what you mean.

Speaker 3 (01:54:32):
But then there's also that you know, why do I
care so much? Why is this bothering me? It feels
good that I don't care which team wins or loses,
But I understand your point. Let's go to Brad out
of the great state of Mississippi. Brad, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 21 (01:54:49):
Hey, guys, I don't know if y'all have covered this
on Monday. I didn't really get to listen, but I
just want to talk about how college game day is
essentially committing elderly abuse with that old man. I mean,
I feel so bad watching him almost fall as he's
tried to do that little iris. I mean, I felt bad.
I thought I was about to witness a death and
a broken hip on TV.

Speaker 2 (01:55:12):
I don't even know Speedy. I don't know how you
watch it. It was tough. All the time. I'm thinking,
don't let him fall, don't let him fall some of
the luckily he did, but wow, some of the comments
from the text line, Uh, the last thing that Keith
just tried was so painful. I zipped myself up in
my zipper.

Speaker 1 (01:55:37):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (01:55:47):
Robbie Bob breaking. Damn.

Speaker 1 (01:55:50):
This is what Trump had in mind when he sought
to make America greet again the Ricks Butcher Show.

Speaker 3 (01:55:58):
Here we go, Thank you, thank you for being with
us as we unpack another hour together put up by
speedy Greg Abner. All here and hello America. Well we
did have the old wheel spun last hour. Sawyer out

(01:56:20):
of Testacumbia, Alabama. He won free seats to come watch
a show in the Box Seats. Oh yeah, Our first
group will be coming in in February, and if you
want to book yours, wait until the end of this month.
Start looking for it to open up in March and
hopefully we'll see you. And if you come to the
Box seats, we do a random drawing of all of

(01:56:40):
you here and somebody gets to once again, have somebody
spin the wheel. You may win a bundle, you may
watch a bit, or you may pick.

Speaker 2 (01:56:47):
Up some bucks. So could it happen again before the
show's overdue, a little bit of a hankering, a little
bit of a hankering. So the inauguration of President Trump,
speaking of Ken Osborn, talking about that coming out of
the break, coming up on Monday. You know, there's always
this thing now where all these artists, you know, they

(01:57:09):
try that it's supposed to mean something. You know, what
you perform at where you are, we're gonna, We're gonna assess.
You know, if you're an artist and Trump's playing your song,
you have to act like you want him to stop,
even though you love the royalties coming in and you
have to say.

Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
Well, I won't be any part of that. I won't
do anything for Trump. Are you a little surprised? I
was pleasantly that Carrie Underwood has accepted the invite to
play at the Trump inauguration.

Speaker 5 (01:57:38):
Very surprised.

Speaker 3 (01:57:39):
I was too, because it seemed like on some other
really big issues that the Oklahoma Conservative views and even
views of the church, what she obviously says she's part
of that some of her views begin to drift to
the left. Was a little surprised pleasantly that she accepted

(01:58:05):
the invite.

Speaker 2 (01:58:05):
And it's just kind of saying I don't really care
what people think about it. Yeah, so I'm not gonna
apologize for it. Okay, I like that, says to Babba.
I mean to speedach point.

Speaker 3 (01:58:16):
Carrie Underwood says she doesn't care about any black backlash
or maybe even blacklash that she has faced.

Speaker 2 (01:58:24):
That's when you've upset black people. Everybody knows about that.

Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
But anyway, Carrie Underwood is doubling down and says she
will perform. I love when people I saw this happening
out on some of the social medium is when people
go ahead and put up a scenario that didn't even happen.
Beyonce announces if she was invited, she wouldn't go. Well,
we weren't involved, not really cares. I don't know if

(01:58:52):
that would have happened any other I tell you that's
a no.

Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
But I didn't. I was.

Speaker 3 (01:58:58):
I was surprised by this that and and I'm actually glad.
So so it looks like Carrie Underwood will be there now.
There's still is inbody checked with Dan Bongino lately. Is
he still Is he still concerned about the security and
concerned about the situation.

Speaker 2 (01:59:15):
I don't know. I'm not up on him every day.

Speaker 5 (01:59:18):
The parade is still on. Everything is still on.

Speaker 9 (01:59:21):
Yeah, that's what I just google this schedule just to
see the events and all this we got. On Saturday,
we have the reception and fireworks at the Trump National
Golf Club there in Virginia.

Speaker 2 (01:59:36):
It says we.

Speaker 9 (01:59:37):
Have cabinet reception, Vice President's dinner that Saturday, reflating cemetery
ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Sunday,
and then Trump is going to deliver remarks on Sunday
at three pm Make America Great Again victory Rally at
Capitol One Arena in Washington. I think that's what Dan

(01:59:59):
Bongino was also worried about.

Speaker 2 (02:00:00):
Rich Yes, he was. He hated that.

Speaker 9 (02:00:03):
And we got a candlelight dinner that night. And then
Monday is Inauguration Day and it starts early, and there's
just a slew of stuff plan. Well, I like what
Carrie Underwood is saying. She's saying, I'm doing this for America.

Speaker 3 (02:00:17):
It is an honor to be invited to be part
of an inauguration and the passing of power and a
constitutional republic. This is for the country, not for Trump. Mm.

Speaker 2 (02:00:29):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (02:00:30):
I think that's that's that's that's level headed. I mean,
if you know when I don't know that I would have.
You know, when when Barack Obama was president, I certainly
agreed with his his worldview and and the way he
saw the country and taxation and many are are standing
in the world all that, But if I'd had the

(02:00:51):
opportunity to go and do something at the White House,
and you know that would never happen. But if were
to happen, say we want a championship, Okay, okay, I go,
I go take my Yeah. Absolutely, of course my visit
to the White House. Yeah, visit with the president and
shake his hand and be respectful having a picture made

(02:01:11):
because I'm there representing the type of government that we
have in the country. We have, not the individual and
and the beauty of the country is I can have
my picture made, or I can sing at a presidential
inauguration and still go out and disagree with the very
president that has been inaugurated if I want to, even

(02:01:31):
after I performed.

Speaker 2 (02:01:34):
So that's that's great. That's that's how the country is
supposed to work.

Speaker 7 (02:01:37):
It's just history, you know. You know I went to
the White House. That's something you should always be proud.

Speaker 3 (02:01:42):
Of say, you know so, so anyway that that is
going to go on, no matter how many people may
be upset. She's also this year going back to American
Idol as a judge. Oh really, carry Carrie gonna have
a busy year. Is she a permanent or a guest judge.
She's going to be a judge for American Idol and

(02:02:04):
now it's performing at the inauguration. They're calling this a
busy year for Carrie Underwood, and she's actually very proud
of the things she's doing. You know, when I see
things like that, and I remember we talked about with
Steve Harvey sometimes and I know how difficult it is,
and we're on such a smaller scale, but the things
that we get opportunities to do and trying to balance

(02:02:26):
all that. When I see people at the highest level, okay,
which we are not, but at the highest level, I've
got tours, I've got people pressuring me for another album,
I've got photo shoots, I've got appearances, and then they
take on something else, like I'm also going to be
a judge on American Idol and I got to shoot

(02:02:49):
a whole season of that. You just wonder how in
the world that they make all that work. I mean,
and I know they have budgets to where they can
have nanny and they can have staff with them, and
you know, they they've got you know, like I remember,
and I always respected Rush Limball for saying this, unlike

(02:03:10):
Oprah when when Russe Limball was battling his weight issues
and he got them, he had some success.

Speaker 2 (02:03:18):
I love that he.

Speaker 3 (02:03:19):
Went on the air and said, I'm really not going
to go into all this because in my world, I
can afford to have a chef who prepares my meals
for me and puts out on the table what I'm
supposed to be eating, and not everybody can do that.
If I didn't have that, i'd probably I probably could
not have gotten to where I am.

Speaker 2 (02:03:39):
That's what the turning point was for me.

Speaker 3 (02:03:42):
So I think they do have access to you know, nutrition,
probably physicians that are with them and help.

Speaker 2 (02:03:52):
So I understand all that, but it still is a lot.

Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
It's quite a schedule, and and sometimes I wonder how
they do it, and especially in old days where they
put you out there on the road and you'd be
gone and couldn't even come back. I know a lot
of them gotten to the point where they make so
much money now they can go rest huh and then
fly back out. They don't just go out and stay. Yeah,
but some just play weekends. Yeah but yeah, yeah, but

(02:04:18):
how about it. It's a lot of work to be
on a season of a current show.

Speaker 2 (02:04:23):
Yeah, it is on top of everything. That's a lot.

Speaker 7 (02:04:26):
Yeah, you got Carrie under where Luke, Bryan, Lionel, Richie
and Ryan Seacrest. That's there's your crew right there for
twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (02:04:32):
Yeah, that's very good.

Speaker 5 (02:04:34):
Season twenty three by the way, Wow he's in twenty three?

Speaker 2 (02:04:37):
Wow about that? Okay, there we go. So speaking of that,
it's been interesting.

Speaker 3 (02:04:44):
To watch the world of Cam Newton and what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (02:04:49):
Now have you seen this legacline? How serious? You got
a hat on? As well? On what we're gonna show next?
You better leave the hat. So we'll be back.

Speaker 1 (02:05:01):
This is the Rick Burgers show. They can and do
the truth the week Burger Show.

Speaker 2 (02:05:24):
How about it. Welcome back to a brand new show.
Come out all.

Speaker 3 (02:05:36):
Right, So working our way back, We've already taken a
spin on.

Speaker 30 (02:05:40):
The Wonderful Will of Bundles, Bits and Bugs. Good happened
again today, So stand by for that, I already had
a winner to come watch a show this year.

Speaker 4 (02:05:54):
All right.

Speaker 3 (02:05:54):
So relief factor has been around in my life for
quite a while now, and love it, love it, love it.
An all natural response to the inflammation issues that come
with aging, over exertion, whatever the case may be. If
you have at the root of your problem our old

(02:06:15):
nemesis inflammation, relief factor is the answer, and it's an
all natural answer and it goes to the root of
the problem. That's why we do the quick start pack
for nineteen ninety five that's three weeks because it's not
going to do like some of the other over the
counter stuff or it's not their masking pain. If it's inflammation,

(02:06:37):
is going to the root of the pain, and then
it's going to solve the problem once and for all
less than a dollar a day nineteen ninety five fight
pain naturally, not stop masking it temporarily. So go to
Rick Burgessshow dot com under sponsors that go directly to
relieffactor dot com and find the answer. You're there, So

(02:07:00):
all right, So other things, I'm still laughing at people
texting and emailing comments about Keith who claims he could
out drive Gary the Bulldozer man, Hey, he thinks he
can get those up and ready to go. And he
made an attempt at a new song for the show,
and it was so ugly watching some of the comments,

(02:07:25):
people who say that a number two pencil in the ear,
please don't do that would have been and then and
then my favorite, my new favorite. He might be able
to out drive Gary with the bulldozer. We'd have to see.
But I'll tell you one thing. Gary could kick his button.

Speaker 2 (02:07:41):
Song right, Hey, I wrote a few songs for little
Gwyn that's not too bad, and you know, and I
like them. I mean, you know, I sing them to
her sometimes.

Speaker 3 (02:07:50):
You know. It's all that thing, you know, like too
less lonely people. Two less lonely people in the world win,
And I'm going to be made out of all the
winds in the world. You can't believe he man. Since

(02:08:14):
you bringing up Gary performing, somebody confirmed was he really.

Speaker 2 (02:08:19):
Playing that piano that he put out during Christmas. It's
a good question when it comes to Gary. I mean,
you know, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:08:25):
I don't know a lot of songs, but I know
I can play the Black Claves.

Speaker 7 (02:08:28):
I went back and and watched it and I think
that's really him playing.

Speaker 2 (02:08:32):
By the way I can play it?

Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
Where the good?

Speaker 5 (02:08:36):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (02:08:36):
For not a lot of songs, but I got that one.

Speaker 5 (02:08:39):
I was I was checking to see if he was faking.

Speaker 2 (02:08:41):
I'm with you and you agree. I mean I was like, wow.

Speaker 3 (02:08:44):
I had a conversation with him about it, and of course,
in true Gary form, he left it kind of open ended,
like so, I didn't know whether he wants you know,
you never know which way he's going.

Speaker 2 (02:08:54):
Is he trying to trick me by thinking that?

Speaker 3 (02:08:56):
Me thinking he's fooling everybody and look like good he
can fool everybody? Or is he fooling everybody thinking he
can play?

Speaker 2 (02:09:02):
Alright?

Speaker 3 (02:09:02):
So so here can we play this? Is there anything?
This is Gary at Christmas?

Speaker 2 (02:09:08):
Christmas?

Speaker 7 (02:09:09):
Look, that's him, one of the dogs.

Speaker 23 (02:09:16):
She's the cord in too.

Speaker 25 (02:09:18):
She had to find another one.

Speaker 5 (02:09:19):
It's like Elton John Little.

Speaker 2 (02:09:22):
Christmas for you.

Speaker 31 (02:09:24):
That's okay, that's yeah, he's really doing that's really doing it.

Speaker 5 (02:09:38):
That's him.

Speaker 2 (02:09:39):
It's Gary.

Speaker 5 (02:09:40):
Really, he's really doing it.

Speaker 2 (02:09:43):
How much do I wish you would sing it so badly?
Could you got sunglasses on? An I have? Mm hmm.

Speaker 12 (02:09:50):
See.

Speaker 2 (02:09:51):
His thing to me was Adler year.

Speaker 23 (02:09:54):
It's one of the dogs they know.

Speaker 12 (02:09:55):
And on the.

Speaker 3 (02:09:56):
Phone, I did y'all not want him to go shine?
I want holding that load, you know.

Speaker 2 (02:10:14):
Like when he was supposed with looking on his saying
all the sprout.

Speaker 3 (02:10:19):
I mean sprout, you know, like the main shine off like.

Speaker 2 (02:10:22):
Mitch rick Nick. I mean, I guess the next Christmas,
I guess we need to bring me here let him.
I didn't think.

Speaker 3 (02:10:30):
I ain't trying to put out there, baby, but I mean,
I can do shout at night if you want me to.

Speaker 5 (02:10:36):
What can't he do?

Speaker 7 (02:10:37):
My goodness, he's making tables, he's making turkey fists, yes, cooking.

Speaker 5 (02:10:41):
He's making salad.

Speaker 3 (02:10:43):
I like a little bit of salad.

Speaker 2 (02:10:45):
Okay, I would like for him to set up in here.
I didn't know that was available to I did not
know that was a face.

Speaker 3 (02:10:54):
I didn't know that was a I didn't know that
was available for that year he could play that something
about I just can't quite buy in yet.

Speaker 2 (02:11:01):
I think he says so many times, I don't know
what he's doing.

Speaker 7 (02:11:04):
Was that John Legend or was that Billy Joel?

Speaker 3 (02:11:09):
My goodness, hey, I can do piano man shame in
a song. I'm rudo man. That shame meet.

Speaker 2 (02:11:18):
You know, I'm talking to Davy that's still in the navy.
Give me that.

Speaker 3 (02:11:23):
And I was talking to Davy, you know he's still
in the navy and that may he probably will be
for life. And the piano it sounds like Carnival in
thebacle phone swamps. I want the gregs Kob.

Speaker 9 (02:11:39):
I want us to play him singing, I mean playing again,
and then Rick singing like it's him.

Speaker 3 (02:11:46):
Well he's you know, I will say that it's making
me believe he's not exactly. I mean, he's he's playing
the notes right at her, but I mean he seems
to be a little bit cautiously going through them like
he's you know, I mean he's not ain't not wearing
it out. But yeah, I mean it's a little song
that my mama taught me when I was a little.

Speaker 9 (02:12:05):
Sign it night and please you're back when he starts playing.

Speaker 3 (02:12:11):
Okay, tell you a little something for Christmas. Okay, I
wish I play inauguration day. One of the dogs didn't
tell you she had another one, but I wanted to
play a little little Christmas.

Speaker 2 (02:12:28):
I'm gonna play the little Christian Munich. He's got a
lower voice hereous he got a cold or something?

Speaker 1 (02:12:33):
Rick?

Speaker 12 (02:12:35):
Oh, come.

Speaker 3 (02:12:43):
And it's right like I mean, I'm mat meet jung.

Speaker 12 (02:12:49):
Mana Mitchell.

Speaker 3 (02:13:03):
Salos. I tell you what ain't shotad is when even
dogs in here you're a bit of battering around. You
can't even have shalad not bout some of my chewing
your cord.

Speaker 2 (02:13:16):
So, oh my goodness, I saw that. At one point
I wasn't even in here. Rick had left us, and
so uh, I can't wait to tell him that Keith
said he could drive better than him. Oh yeah, put

(02:13:38):
him you tell Key from Florida. He he can't can
get your chill and can and not drive me? And
come on, I'm sure I singing and play panty better
than he can.

Speaker 7 (02:13:47):
If anybody can take the top off a coke bottle,
that you win. You seen people do that with the bulldozer?

Speaker 3 (02:13:53):
Uh No, I have not, I have for real, Okay,
but I cleaned it up.

Speaker 5 (02:13:58):
It was actually a beer bottle.

Speaker 2 (02:13:59):
But you know what I mean? Yeah, sure, yeah, sure,
top of me. Sure, I'm ta I've never seen that.
Of course I'm Baptist. It wouldn't make any sense, all right,
all right, the bottom of the hour.

Speaker 3 (02:14:12):
Hey, we can't how long again?

Speaker 2 (02:14:14):
This man? Yeah, yeah, we'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:14:25):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He was told good
luck finding a job that would pay him to be

(02:14:45):
the class clown. Rick Burgess.

Speaker 2 (02:14:51):
There's that many of them. They were right about that.

Speaker 15 (02:14:52):
All right.

Speaker 3 (02:14:53):
So here we go, excited to talk about one of
my favorite product out there, Field of Greens, and let
me tell you talk about delicious.

Speaker 2 (02:15:05):
Uh well, no, it is a lot of you have
asked me about this. Hey, what do you mix it with?

Speaker 3 (02:15:09):
There's a couple of ways to go as far as
what I normally do is orange juice is really cool,
and if you're worried about sugar, you can go you know,
I know, simply they have one that is a low
sugar orange juice. You can't really taste the difference. It's
really good, so you can mix it there. They have
different flavors, but they all work good with orange juice. Also,

(02:15:32):
if you if you do like a protein shake, just
mixing in with that, you know, if you're putting in
you know, whatever you're mixing with your protein shake, put
the Field of Greens scoop in there too.

Speaker 2 (02:15:42):
That that works great.

Speaker 3 (02:15:43):
So what we're doing is you're making sure that you're
getting the nutrition that you need every day. A lot
of times we don't pull that off doing in our
daily diet.

Speaker 2 (02:15:53):
We just don't. But with Field of Greens, you know
that you do.

Speaker 3 (02:15:56):
And coming off the holidays and you know, certainly fell
off the the healthy eating wagon.

Speaker 2 (02:16:01):
A few times.

Speaker 3 (02:16:02):
I did, Hey, so I'm not gonna have chocolate biscuits, Okay,
of course I am so. I'm not gonna have Nana
sausage balls, of course I am so.

Speaker 18 (02:16:11):
So.

Speaker 3 (02:16:11):
So I'm not gonna have coffee punch, yeah, i am so.
But but then you just go right back to the routine.
And of course then you go and get your Field
of Greens and you know that you're you know, the
the vital organs in our body are getting fed what
they're supposed to to run. Also helping the immune system
now more than ever, that's incredibly important. So go to

(02:16:33):
Fieldogreens dot com right now, Fieldgreens dot Com. Use the
code big vox. You get twenty percent off. The folks
at brick House Nutrition, Okay, that's who, this is one
of their products. They're so confident that with Field of Greens,
if you'll follow the instructions that your health will get
better and if it doesn't, they will refund the money.

(02:16:55):
There you go Fieldogreens dot com, use the code big
vox b I VS and Victor o X twenty percent
off and then use the link there at Rick burgesshow
dot com under the sponsors. But all right, so I
mentioned we're working some other things, some of your ideas.
You're coming up now with The new added thing to

(02:17:16):
Gary impression is now the singing because of his piano playing.
And you know this year we're bringing back just not
at the end of the show, but we're bringing back
as an option on the wheel of bundle bits and bucks.
So one of the bits that can land on Helium
Boy is on that wheel. You know, Helium Boy is back.

(02:17:38):
You know, Healing Boy. Really, Helium Boy was the very
first radio co host Averhead before Bubba.

Speaker 2 (02:17:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:17:45):
When I was first doing the show by myself in
the early days, even afternoons or mornings, Helium.

Speaker 2 (02:17:51):
Boy was there. He was like a little character, Helium Boy. Question.

Speaker 9 (02:17:55):
Yeah, so when did you know that Helium Boy it
could make an appearance and that was something that I mean,
was that something you he would always do and he
would appear like before you started radio, did you know
that voice worked or it? Actually it started with our
classmate Scott Putt Chase did it. We were in the

(02:18:17):
lunch room and he I noticed that he could do that.
He couldn't speak as clear, but but he would just
go blah blah blah. And I never knew what he
was doing. I'm like, what is he doing? And he
was like, and he would just do that, just make
that sounds.

Speaker 3 (02:18:37):
Like saying Bill it is he was saying that because
you know Bip came from that was Greg and our
friends that came from Marvin Acular, that's Calviun County.

Speaker 2 (02:18:44):
Yeah, that's like somebody trying to be a Bill. So
so I just thought, well, how is he doing that?
And I just kept working at it. Greg. Greg can
do a version of Greg can do a version of it.
He's got a little.

Speaker 29 (02:18:57):
Bit of it.

Speaker 2 (02:18:59):
Yeah, you didn't know what older brother, it's too it's
too low. You follow it go so he so anyway, good.

Speaker 3 (02:19:14):
So So when it was so then when I first
started doing radio, I don't know why, I've been some
bizarre idea I was. I was goofing off doing it,
and uh, Scott Morgan was the midday guy, and he
was very straight laced. I caught him Howard Howard Spray. Yeah,
he looked like a young Howard Spray and uh and

(02:19:36):
he's the one that I locked out of the studio
that time. And they came back in and played the
live version of Doctor Love on an adult adult contemporary
slash oldie station.

Speaker 1 (02:19:44):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:19:44):
Well, and he was always fun to mess with and
and something about me doing that voice slay him he liked,
he loved it, and so he's and one day he
said out loud helium Boy, and I was like, oh,
that's funny, is that? So he goes do the Helium
Boy and I was like, he mean boy. He goes
that's yeah, That's what I call that, and I was
like okay. So so then I thought to myself, but look,

(02:20:10):
you know, when you know, this is the early days.

Speaker 2 (02:20:13):
Of me trying to do radio. And I got the
Johnny jack Boy song, you know, and I'm Alabama's out
the Last Outlaw Afternoon Extravaganza, which then goes the Morning
at Stravaganza and all that, and so so I was like, well,
I need stuff to do. And in those days, I mean,
you might be giving away a pizza. You know, we
give away a couple of pizzas from the custom pizza

(02:20:34):
or something.

Speaker 3 (02:20:35):
And so I was like, how can I what what
can I what can I do to give away you know,
another lunch at Betty's barbecue, you know. And so I thought, well,
remember when all that fails and contests and radio, you
go to trivia. And so I developed a character called
Trivia Man, and and it was and I went in,
I even went into the production room because there was

(02:20:57):
no voice guy that like we had, like we got
the great Ken Osborn. Now we've had others, John Pleacy
back in the day, but so we didn't have any
of that. So I went in and remember on those tapes,
real to real tapes, you could slow them down and
make yourself sound like a.

Speaker 2 (02:21:10):
Voice gown, you know. And so I actually did a
Trivia Man.

Speaker 3 (02:21:14):
You know, this kind of made it real low and
then and then Trivia Man, like all superheroes had to
have a sidekick, and so the sidekit was Healium Boy,
and so if you missed the question healing Wold would
dog you. And so so then when Bubba and I
started doing the show together, I just brought that in
and we started incorporating that in and then it got

(02:21:34):
Then I hit that deal where I almost lost my voice.

Speaker 2 (02:21:37):
And still I don't think. I'm just so goofy.

Speaker 3 (02:21:40):
I didn't realize that me doing this for a living
was almost over, and I didn't even realize how serious
it was. Well, when those vocal cords got damaged, you
can't do that. Healium Boy won't work, Joe the car
wash won't work, okay, because you can't find that place
in your voice.

Speaker 2 (02:21:57):
It's not there.

Speaker 3 (02:21:59):
Somebody's call secondary vocal chords. It's how like your Brian
what's his name in a C D C what's his
last name?

Speaker 2 (02:22:06):
Smith?

Speaker 3 (02:22:06):
And Brian Johnson when you sing like that, those are
secondary vocal cords you're using. And so that's where all
this comes from.

Speaker 2 (02:22:14):
That of course, you know, Joe the carwash comes from Falsetta,
That's where that comes from, you know, and all that.
But when your voice isn't working right and it's not performing,
those ranges are gone. And so I was raspy. You know,
you remember how it sounded.

Speaker 9 (02:22:31):
That is there's years yeah, a little little section of
best of us, whereas.

Speaker 3 (02:22:37):
Yeah, yeah and so yeah, and so for a while
all those voices were retired and so and then Healing
Boy this never made his way back into anything but
the big year ender and twas not before Christmas, almost
like a nod to a classic of the past. And uh,

(02:22:57):
and of course the whole Healing Boy thing is that
he's always believed that he made the show.

Speaker 2 (02:23:02):
He made, you know, my whole radio.

Speaker 3 (02:23:04):
Career and so so then now we have got an
older brother, so so now yeah, so now he's back
on there.

Speaker 2 (02:23:11):
But what's got everybody doing? This?

Speaker 3 (02:23:12):
Shows you how long these people have listened to us
in various forms. Is there somebody is thinking of the
Healing Boy thing because and it used to slay we
We used to do Healing Boy sings the hits.

Speaker 2 (02:23:25):
And so I wouldn't and so I would do.

Speaker 3 (02:23:31):
The one right. So now now that's that's a long
way home to a duet between Gary and Healing Boy
singing the hits. Yeah right, oh, Gary singing the hits.
If we don't put that together, that's got it. Hey,
she packed my bags. Let's not free fly eat, you know,

(02:23:51):
because I'm a rocky man, burn out to few like
Mitch alone.

Speaker 9 (02:23:57):
We need to sing, We need to send Ken Osburn
like you know, you know, call now it's available one
eight hundred, you know, blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (02:24:05):
Gary sings the hits go to you. Todd warners, that's
exactly we do that again. That would be Justin Brown voiced,
I think the first one good friend of the show,
still in the business. But when we could do greatest hits,

(02:24:25):
or we could do like Saturday Night Live used to
do too, and we could do Gary sings, Elton John,
Gary sings, you know, any kind of artist you can
come on with. You can go that route too.

Speaker 3 (02:24:36):
Now you can tell everybody when this is your song,
and you can tell everybody, and this one's for.

Speaker 2 (02:24:43):
You, from the tractor to the mic. Gary the bulldozer
man sings the hits.

Speaker 3 (02:24:51):
You don't bring me, Sally, Let's say of them on
of a road, side by side on this panel. Can't
here head boy, you know.

Speaker 10 (02:25:06):
What I mean?

Speaker 1 (02:25:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:25:09):
That's a that's a lot, that's a big box. Bonus
track features Helium Boy singing with Jarrett.

Speaker 1 (02:25:22):
This is the Rick Burgess Show only in America? Could
these four men do this for a living God bless America?
This is the Rick Burgess Show, all.

Speaker 3 (02:25:48):
Right, so things need to be aware of the number
eighty eight six big box. The old will may spin
again before today's night text option. A lot of you
use that to same number eight eight eight six two
four four eight six nine. So a lot of great
texts coming in emails. If you don't know how to

(02:26:11):
contact us, it's all there at Rick burgessshow dot com.
Those of you looking for coffee punch recipe that's been
added to the recipes there under Rick's picks as well.
So as Greg has said, they'll proceed with caution. Coffee punch.
Lisa's coffee punch nearly took a man out, so so
enjoy that people are wanting to know. We will get

(02:26:34):
to the Cam Newton thing. Somebody is said on the text,
y'all said, you're going to tell us what Cam Newton's
doing now, But have you done that yet?

Speaker 18 (02:26:40):
Now?

Speaker 3 (02:26:41):
What happens when it comes to headlines, we'll throw them
out there, and if we can't think of anything else
we'd rather talk about, we'll get well, then go to it.
If things he coming up that we're having fun with,
we'll just kind of stay with that. So and I'm
going to stop looking at the song suggestions because somebody
did hit a home run, Gary singing, please come to Boston.

(02:27:05):
That's the let me tell you. I don't know who
put that up there, but let me tell you something.

Speaker 2 (02:27:12):
Man, it's good.

Speaker 3 (02:27:12):
Hey, please come to Clinton, Please come to Clinton, push
and chadle.

Speaker 2 (02:27:22):
That would be a doozy.

Speaker 3 (02:27:25):
That would be such a good would be a good one.
And she says, hey, rambling, Gary, why don't you shut
it down?

Speaker 2 (02:27:34):
Okay, I gotta stop. Okay, how about this. It's a winner.
It's a winner, and and we'll continue it. So that's good.

Speaker 3 (02:27:42):
Make a note, Gary sings the hits, we can call
for it and we can do a full on, full
blown production. Okay, okay, So so put that into the
new arsenal right up there with the big box verdict
speedy by me lunch uh in the wheel of bundles,
bits and bucks.

Speaker 2 (02:27:58):
We we're building.

Speaker 3 (02:27:59):
We're building a new things and enjoying what's already been done.
I told you all this earlier. If you love the
thirty one years of the Rick and Bubba Show, and
we certainly did, and so many of you did as well.

Speaker 24 (02:28:09):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:28:09):
It lives on forever and a brand new podcast coming
out this Saturday, Rick and Bubba's Greatest Hits wherever you
get podcasts. Uh in the first the first group will
be put out there this weekend, and we'll continue to
add to the library as the weeks go by. All Right,
So let's do the Cam Newing thing. So this is
a celebrity reality TV show. And is this some sort

(02:28:32):
of military can you do what the military does kind
of thing?

Speaker 2 (02:28:35):
Yeah, they got these military guys and there they like
yell at you and stuff. Yeah, you have different stuff
few seasons, right, yeah, yeah, wrong, yeah, yeah, third special
Forces I think, yeah, special.

Speaker 5 (02:28:45):
Forces like the toughest test or something, and looks really hard.

Speaker 2 (02:28:47):
Let me just say it looks really hard.

Speaker 3 (02:28:49):
And so Cam has decided to do this h and
now he's not wearing one of those Pilgrim hats.

Speaker 28 (02:28:54):
Right, no, but.

Speaker 2 (02:28:56):
In a weird way. All right, So can I pot
the audio up or no?

Speaker 5 (02:28:59):
Can and I'll come in and out.

Speaker 2 (02:29:01):
Okay, alright, So what he's about to transfer. He's on
a helicopter.

Speaker 7 (02:29:05):
Yes, he's on like a speedboat, pontoon, speedboat whatever, and
he's about to jump from the.

Speaker 5 (02:29:10):
Boat to the helicopter as both crews down the waterway here.

Speaker 7 (02:29:16):
And he jumps and he boom makes it. Now he's
got to pull himself up. So he's now a big
man having to pull himself up. And he's a large
dude having to pull up onto the s.

Speaker 2 (02:29:30):
He's really large.

Speaker 7 (02:29:31):
There is a there is another little tie right there,
you see. So I think that was the game changer
pulled himself.

Speaker 18 (02:29:38):
He did do it.

Speaker 5 (02:29:40):
He did, Yeah, he did get it done. Now he
screams right here, so he.

Speaker 2 (02:29:53):
They don't like the ra when you get there. Did
he just get a cut? The screaming from the sergeant whatever?

Speaker 3 (02:29:58):
The drill sergeant that yeah, he kind of heard sometimes already.

Speaker 2 (02:30:05):
Is that Stephen Baldwin. There's so many, it looks like, Yeah,
I saw the one. I think would I think Dwight
Howard was in it. I think it was one last
year last year.

Speaker 5 (02:30:14):
That was last year.

Speaker 2 (02:30:15):
Yeah, And I noticed that a lot of them that
they they just go, I can't do anymore because maybe
it's a fear of.

Speaker 3 (02:30:21):
Heights or some phobia they have and they're like, I'm out.
But then some it's just too hard. But but isn't
it why you're here to overcome those things?

Speaker 10 (02:30:29):
Right?

Speaker 7 (02:30:31):
Are you always surprised when Cam yells, and it's like
it's not like it's like, it's like here it is a.

Speaker 2 (02:30:41):
Yeah, I didn't like it. Yeah I expected. Yeah, that's
a large man to I know in the NFL too.

Speaker 5 (02:30:49):
He remembered, he was like, I'm back.

Speaker 12 (02:30:52):
I'm back.

Speaker 5 (02:30:53):
When he remember, that's what he said, I'm looking at it.
I'm looking at it. Say I'm looking at like that.
I'm looking it up. This is when he came back
as at for the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 2 (02:31:09):
It was a little hot pitch. It was here we go,
we apologize. I apologize, Okay, Chris Adler An apology was
he was he kidding around going on?

Speaker 5 (02:31:24):
I think that's his yell.

Speaker 3 (02:31:26):
He just didn't.

Speaker 2 (02:31:27):
If you take that and then put that together, it's
not a good case.

Speaker 7 (02:31:31):
Okay, I'm sorry to Cam's. Look, he's the only reason
why I have a national championship. Okay, so I'm I'm
a fan.

Speaker 28 (02:31:37):
But you have one.

Speaker 5 (02:31:38):
You have one, I personally own one.

Speaker 2 (02:31:41):
You have one, yes, Auburn, right, but but you didn't
really play right. This bothers you.

Speaker 5 (02:31:49):
We've been terrible for five years. Please let me have something.
Please our team, the team.

Speaker 2 (02:31:57):
Would you like he was you won't me to get.

Speaker 3 (02:32:02):
Of course, somebody stole some of them, but my son
still has some of those championship rings.

Speaker 2 (02:32:06):
To bring one for you.

Speaker 5 (02:32:07):
Yes, you can look, take a selfie and say, look
what my ring.

Speaker 3 (02:32:11):
I have to warn you you better get some masking tape.
It's gonna be a little big on you learn when
your girlfriend you put a ribbon in it?

Speaker 2 (02:32:20):
Did you ever? Do you ever even know where your
class rings? Have no idea.

Speaker 5 (02:32:23):
I didn't even get one.

Speaker 2 (02:32:24):
You didn't, I didn't more too proud.

Speaker 5 (02:32:26):
It was too expensive. It was like five hundred bucks.
I'm like, I'm going to lose that.

Speaker 12 (02:32:30):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (02:32:31):
Probably your school experience to probably not as raw ro
as ours.

Speaker 5 (02:32:34):
Sure, here's the list of celebrity.

Speaker 2 (02:32:39):
Okay, here we got a special force. Hey, hey, that
second one up top. I sent an interview with her.
She busted her implants while doing this. Are you serious
it has to talk about an injury or okay? Well yeah,
that's yeah. I didn't see that interview about it. I've

(02:33:03):
never seen this show.

Speaker 5 (02:33:05):
I wonder if they were in school ones with the
news good that's not good.

Speaker 2 (02:33:10):
So the casing busted. I just know you have to
touch yours to talk about that. I don't know why
am I doing that one girl? I don't know which one?

Speaker 3 (02:33:22):
Buddy Kelsey's ex girlfriend, how do you know all this?
And then there's Bruce Jenner's son, he's on it. It
was oh yeah, yeah, Brod Tate. Remember how we played football?
Forgot about I forgot all about Golden Tate.

Speaker 2 (02:33:36):
And then that's the motorcycle guy that's married to Pink.

Speaker 5 (02:33:39):
Oh yeah, yeah, carry Hart, Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 7 (02:33:42):
And then Trista the Bachelorette, and you got Ali the Bachelorette,
and you got Jordan's the.

Speaker 5 (02:33:46):
Gymnasts and Marion is that maryon Jones?

Speaker 22 (02:33:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:33:49):
I think.

Speaker 2 (02:33:51):
Drug tester time ago, I'm a long time ago.

Speaker 5 (02:33:57):
About the way of the Cam Newton dress. I saw
some of the wrote Cam Newton. Cam Newton looks like
he pilots a hot air balloon.

Speaker 2 (02:34:05):
That's good.

Speaker 1 (02:34:10):
This is the Rick Burgess show. God fearing and America
loving the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 27 (02:34:25):
That abusing run now, brother, because you ave got a
lot of time, don't that surprise?

Speaker 24 (02:34:33):
Wait?

Speaker 3 (02:34:33):
It all goes to hell on your day.

Speaker 2 (02:34:37):
It is six minutes now past the hour.

Speaker 14 (02:34:41):
Look the devil and here we go. Uh, speedy, Greg
Burgess Adler. Here it is another Rick Burgess show.

Speaker 2 (02:34:57):
Two yeah, with the lighting. So we got a brand

(02:35:21):
new hour underway. Glad you're here.

Speaker 32 (02:35:23):
I want.

Speaker 2 (02:35:30):
All right, So here we go.

Speaker 24 (02:35:31):
It is.

Speaker 17 (02:35:34):
There comes a wheel of.

Speaker 2 (02:35:37):
Bits and bucks, and so you could win money people have,
but money that could also be a bundle meaning something
out of the Rick Burgess Show store, could be a bit.

Speaker 3 (02:35:53):
Meaning there's something we have to do for you own demand.
All right, So we're staying today with caller twenty five,
celebrating the year twenty twenty five. So the twenty fifth
caller can pick any member of the show to spend
the wheel for them, hoping to win something wonderful. So

(02:36:13):
there is caller one, two, three, four, five, six, six, seven,
eight nine, and then there's ten, eleven, and there's twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen,

(02:36:34):
and then nineteen, there's twenty, there's twenty one, twenty two,
twenty three, twenty four.

Speaker 2 (02:36:42):
Hello, it is the Rick Burgers Show. Who's calling? Hello?

Speaker 17 (02:36:50):
Hello, Lisa?

Speaker 2 (02:36:53):
Okay, did you say Alyssa.

Speaker 28 (02:36:56):
Melissa Melissa.

Speaker 2 (02:36:59):
Like the almond others exactly?

Speaker 17 (02:37:02):
Let's see.

Speaker 2 (02:37:05):
All right, Well, so you're in. Did you say Charleston?

Speaker 32 (02:37:10):
No, Fort Mills, South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (02:37:12):
Okay, Fort Mills, South Carolina. How far is that from Charleston.

Speaker 32 (02:37:18):
I used to live in near Charleston, but this is
directly south of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Speaker 2 (02:37:23):
Understood. Okay, So how do you get the show there?

Speaker 32 (02:37:28):
I watch all on YouTube and I've been watching for
years and years.

Speaker 3 (02:37:31):
Oh good, well, thank you for continuing on with us
on the Rick Burgess Show. So, so you know how
we've taken the wheel and when we've come to the
conclusion the only thing better than meat is money. And
so the wheel has it has bundles, meaning you can
win something by the store. It has uh, it has
bits meaning we have to perform on command or it

(02:37:53):
can be or it can be bucks. And that means
it could be one thousand dollars, it could be five
hundred dollars. So you can pick in remember the show
to spend.

Speaker 29 (02:38:01):
It for you?

Speaker 2 (02:38:02):
Who would you like to spend it? Who would you
like to spend it on? Your behalf?

Speaker 32 (02:38:06):
Well, I love you all, but I've got to get
Adler out of that.

Speaker 2 (02:38:13):
Get.

Speaker 3 (02:38:14):
He's coming out of that little box that he's in.
He's coming over to the wheel on behalf of Melissa
out of Fort Mills.

Speaker 2 (02:38:23):
Did you say, yeah, Fort, Yes, all right, let's go
out and give it a spin for Melissa. Okay, here
we go. All right, so there comes on.

Speaker 12 (02:38:31):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (02:38:32):
Let's see Melissa. Oh well, Melissa, let's see, Melissa. We're watching.
It's still pretty good spin. You know he's wiry for
his side. No, let me tell you some Melissa. Look,

(02:38:55):
you are one click away for a thousand dollar. And
here's the awful part. Guess what it landed on. I
hate to even tell you this. It's the other end
of the spectrum. It landed on Speedy's wallet. You got
to buy himself.

Speaker 2 (02:39:10):
Yeah, oh my do that you can veno me. It
doesn't matter. No, I can't know.

Speaker 3 (02:39:19):

Speaker 2 (02:42:07):
You're dancing, as Greg has told us for yours that
the face goes with it. You gotta feel it. If
you don't have the face with playing an Yeah, just yeah,

Speaker 3 (02:43:38):
If I had injured myself to the point of actually
needing help dancing to uh for the love of money, okay,
and and and you know cutting, if I had been injured,
then no, you would have never known if you, no
matter how much pain.

Speaker 2 (02:43:56):
Looking, nothing to want you to try to cover it up.

Speaker 3 (02:43:58):
Yeah, and and and no and no way, no way, no,
how would it ever get officially documented that Rick got
hurt and had to had to had to get help
because he danced.

Speaker 2 (02:44:11):
I was cutting.

Speaker 9 (02:44:12):
No way he tried to go for you hid the
moonwalk from us for years because you claimed bo Jackson.

Speaker 2 (02:44:18):
It was the deal.

Speaker 9 (02:44:18):
In fact, you finally came clean. It had been similar
because you'd have been in there getting therapy. And they're like, okay,
what happened?

Speaker 2 (02:44:25):
Yeah, well that's not you can't go slice storm Friday
and I slipped something I don't know, but not that
not Hey Speedy called from another spin and we all
got excited about it while dancing dancing him. They've got
a great texture here. This was good. Instead of Speedy's
wallet wanted to be busting move. I found it and
the collar has to choose them what we danced to. Okay,

(02:44:50):
that's on the moment. Go ahead, Okay, this is good.

Speaker 17 (02:44:57):
You gonna see me get hurt.

Speaker 2 (02:45:00):
I'm fine. Yah, there's no need to show this. Okay,
I'm fine.

Speaker 5 (02:45:06):
I can see it.

Speaker 28 (02:45:07):
I can't.

Speaker 2 (02:45:08):
Yes, I'm fine. Here's Greg by the way, Greg, you're welcome,
You're glad you're here. I stand up Greg right here.

Speaker 8 (02:45:25):
No, No, I didn't know to do that. Obvious.

Speaker 17 (02:45:29):
It's like somebody shocking.

Speaker 2 (02:45:34):
You went from joy to sad.

Speaker 6 (02:45:37):
I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:45:41):
I was so excited, so excited. Well, there was somebody
on the text says get out and running back. We
can see it. Oh god, you good?

Speaker 12 (02:45:52):
Here it is, Greg.

Speaker 17 (02:46:02):
Really, you've got hurt face.

Speaker 2 (02:46:12):
I don't never get hurt doing anything cool. She's always
something stupid. I've never imagined would be that. Oh my gosh,
you should probably break it down frame by frame. No,
not frame by frame. Please do you hit the slow
motion button. Let's sell it. You're bringing it hard, said listen.
Let's sell it. Meant right now, it's so much more

(02:46:34):
fun to be where y'all are right now than where
I am. Yes, hey, when you're the person in the video,
it's nothing here as much fun. I was not even close.
I wish I was. Y'all right now, you want to
be enjoying it the way were.

Speaker 17 (02:46:45):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:46:46):
At this point, he's fired up. Look I'm on, Look,
I'm on. You can't even tell I'm Baptists. Look at this,
you know, look at that, and you got shot like
a deer hunting U. He's seeing there walking through all
that was missing me, kicking my feet out, run off

(02:47:07):
in the waters.

Speaker 12 (02:47:09):
Listen.

Speaker 2 (02:47:11):
Oh my gosh, listen, here's what I want you to notice.
This is a veteran of age.

Speaker 3 (02:47:18):
Notice what I'm really doing is realizing if I don't
stop right now, I'm about to get hurt bad. When
you vision for the chair, I went for the chair.

Speaker 2 (02:47:26):
I don't go any further.

Speaker 34 (02:47:28):
Somebody share now chair now, oh Rick.

Speaker 3 (02:47:36):
Listening, They'll just think if you had the father, if
you hadn't have been honest and said, I know you're
gonna get a kicked out of this.

Speaker 2 (02:47:42):
Yes, you didn't know we.

Speaker 9 (02:47:42):
Had videos here, So now I'm watching other things in
the video. You and I are going nuts with excitement.
This one here's just sitting here. Do you know you
don't even care about focused on just Gridly?

Speaker 2 (02:47:55):
I was fired up. I worried about Rick. Gracious so good.
So you know, look the good news is even though
I got injured, I'm still not bowlegging.

Speaker 28 (02:48:10):
So uh.

Speaker 3 (02:48:14):
Right here.

Speaker 2 (02:48:16):
I went back to it, honestly though, back to being
a pro, back to doing the show. Yes, I didn't
wallow in it huge, probably because I was mortified by
the fact that what just happened. If you would have
just failed, if I if I would have fallen, what's funnier.
What if I had fallen?

Speaker 3 (02:48:35):
No, that's us, I understand this. I'd be doing the
same thing. What y'all are doing really is mild compared
to what I would be doing if we reversed. But
what if I could have gotten hurt to the point
that like I'm down here and you'll have to faire
what's wrong? You got to bring people in, can you imagine?
And I'm glad that didn't happen because it'd be a hassle.

Speaker 2 (02:48:54):
But I wanted you to follow on that sign to
fall off the wall, land on you. Yes, oh my goodness,
would have on to the board. But somehow we stay
on their exactly. Rick now understands how they courso felt
that's good. That's so good. Do you still feel it?
So he's hurt, I'm not hurt bad just tweeted little
tweet look on your face is uh? Do I am?

Speaker 3 (02:49:17):
I uncomfortable a little bit, but but there's nothing torn
or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (02:49:23):
Slightly you already assessed it. Slightly strained, You got a
little strange, slightly strained. Got to do a little better today.

Speaker 3 (02:49:31):
So this this conversation is coming, uh And if you
want to know the time when it's coming, about three.

Speaker 2 (02:49:38):
Thirty, ask you what's wrong with you? Thirty local time.

Speaker 3 (02:49:42):
I'll be standing in front of either Sean or Mike
the trainer, and that horrible conversation will take place.

Speaker 17 (02:49:48):
How's everybody?

Speaker 2 (02:49:49):
How we doing today? Everybody? You miss Sherry Rick? How
y'all doing? Sure?

Speaker 3 (02:49:54):
Will be like, well, you know, so I got the
foot thing. I just don't do upper body and all that.
Well about it, mister Rick, how we doing?

Speaker 11 (02:50:01):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (02:50:01):
Just probably want to watch a little injury today? Really?
What happened?

Speaker 15 (02:50:06):
Hip?

Speaker 2 (02:50:07):
Hips?

Speaker 3 (02:50:07):
Got a little little twin? Let's just watch that hip
a little bit. Oh you still having some hip trouble?
So did you injure it?

Speaker 2 (02:50:14):
I would, man, it's it's uh. I had a little
just a little tweet today. Oh really, what what were
you doing? Will you show him the dance? At that point?
You explain how the wheel works? What were you doing?
You're familiar with what I do for a living? Yes, yeah,
congratulations on everything.

Speaker 3 (02:50:30):
Thanks?

Speaker 2 (02:50:31):
Remember you know the wheel? Yeah, the one the meat. Yeah.
We're doing money if you yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right?

Speaker 12 (02:50:35):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 17 (02:50:36):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:50:36):
Well you know we have some exciting music, you know,
if we think we're gonna do it, we do money
now and some stuff on it.

Speaker 2 (02:50:42):
Oh good? Yeah? So so so what did it? Did
it come off? The roll? On?

Speaker 10 (02:50:47):
You.

Speaker 2 (02:50:47):
I mean what happened? No, I wasn't even involved in it.
Did you spend it? And I spent the wrong wing
overcompensate like you reached too far from something?

Speaker 3 (02:50:55):
No, No, I wish I had thought of that one though.
That's a pretty good one. I wasn't were near the wheel,
I was over away from it. So how did the
wheel hurt you? It didn't the wheel theme song hurt me?
You were hurt by a theme song, my reaction to
a theme song, I was.

Speaker 2 (02:51:13):
I was hurt dancing. Yeah, I was going for the
pelvic throw. Bring what type of dance? Well, obviously we
can tell it involve the hips.

Speaker 17 (02:51:22):
That's what we got to watch.

Speaker 2 (02:51:23):
The twist is when you twisted around. You know what
I need to do in the break? I gotta see
if I can step over the fence.

Speaker 9 (02:51:28):
Yeah, yeah, you're gonna yeah, And then that will follow
up with Sherry going, what's wrong with you?

Speaker 2 (02:51:32):
I gotta step over the gate in the break? If
you call in today and say you're out right here,
it is one more time? Yeah, of course, thank you
set up something? No, no, not yeah, man, I knew it.

Speaker 3 (02:51:52):
You know that commercial, that's great? You know the commercial
I do texture thank you for relief factor. And some
days I say, now, if I tweak something, I'll go
ahead and take an extra packet.

Speaker 2 (02:52:01):
It's a three packet day. It's a yeah. So get
that fish. Here we go again, Greg, Greg, let me
get that movie. Right there, I say, I was being
calm because I didn't want to get hurt. Oh, guys, guys, guys,

(02:52:24):
what any I still go back. I guess somebody said
I had the White Man's Overbake going. I had it
all going. I had every bit of it going. I
don't get hurt doing anything cool. It's never anything cool.
That's pretty cold. This movie was pretty cool.

Speaker 14 (02:52:42):
That was so.

Speaker 12 (02:52:49):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (02:52:50):
Wow, there you go. What are they saying all those
shows and movies? I'm getting too old for this. Yeah,
the bottom of the hour.

Speaker 1 (02:53:00):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. We talked to the
public every day, and trust us, you should be gravely concerned.

(02:53:25):
The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (02:53:31):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 3 (02:53:32):
Thanks for being with us on this edition of The
Rick Burgess Show. Okay, So, and I agree with this
one hundred percent. I don't know how many of you
technically have the ability to do this, but I bet
you it won't take long. Somebody's saying, if anybody has

(02:53:53):
the ability to put a tracer arrow on that footage, yes,
and you see the tracer arrow hit me about the
time I buckle.

Speaker 2 (02:54:02):
It would be fantastice miss Yeah. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:54:08):
Somebody, somebody who tried to encourage me, you know, with
the aging process, said, I think getting hurt dancing maybe
maybe not as bad as getting hurt sleeping.

Speaker 17 (02:54:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:54:22):
Yeah, at least you were moving, you were doing some
physical Somebody somebody said the song bust to move, now
change to bust a hip.

Speaker 2 (02:54:32):
Oh yeah, that would be a good background.

Speaker 3 (02:54:35):
Would So it got in the break, commuted to go,
was able to uh to step over the gate. So
I realized it is muscular and it's up a little
higher than the ball of the hip, so that I
don't think that I think that you're that to the trail.

Speaker 18 (02:54:52):
Rick.

Speaker 2 (02:54:52):
So today's on. No, Today, we'll we'll just I mean,
y'all know, we'll just sit ups and planks. All y'all
know that I can work through it because you know,
I played a little ball. Yeah. Uh, I've been out there.

Speaker 3 (02:55:06):
I've seen these stores, but I've never been in one.
You say, all these they said, yeah, yeah, you ever
been in one of those?

Speaker 2 (02:55:16):
Passed many? It's really weird, don't you? You rent a
buggy for like a quarner or some excuse me?

Speaker 22 (02:55:20):
What?

Speaker 24 (02:55:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:55:21):
Pay for your shopping?

Speaker 28 (02:55:22):
Do you have?

Speaker 2 (02:55:22):
What are y'all talking? Aboorder? Is it a German grocery store? Germanly?

Speaker 21 (02:55:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:55:27):
Yeah, I don't know about you are paying for you?
I just I don't know it is. I know that
it just brought bought. I think when Dixie close to
me that did they did buy out when Dix's what
what is it? Is it a grocery store? Is a
grocery store? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:55:42):
And I've got to pay for a buggy. Maybe that's
why I've never Why Why am I paying for a buggy?

Speaker 2 (02:55:46):
No frills? You rent it? You rent it? Why?

Speaker 5 (02:55:49):
It's crazy?

Speaker 3 (02:55:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (02:55:52):
You know some places don't have bags. You got to
pay for bags, do you?

Speaker 12 (02:55:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 28 (02:55:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:55:57):
Yeah, yeah yeah. We have to be your own bag.

Speaker 3 (02:55:59):
Yeah, I got to.

Speaker 2 (02:56:00):
That's not a good experience.

Speaker 5 (02:56:02):
You get the quarterback in the store prices.

Speaker 2 (02:56:05):
You've been in one?

Speaker 18 (02:56:06):
Did you?

Speaker 3 (02:56:06):
Could you notice they were good? I never went back,
but he had that kind of impact. Then I've heard
from other people not you're not willing to put the
effort into go into one. I got you and I
don't really have one real close to me. Well that's
the end of it. Then when it comes to some.

Speaker 2 (02:56:21):
People that they like them, that's all they love them.
Some people love something people And is it all or all?
D I've heard it all DS. I knew that was
going to happen. That's let me tell you.

Speaker 3 (02:56:35):
When I go back to the camp house summit there,
I can never get that time back. I'll never get
that time.

Speaker 2 (02:56:41):
But this isn't bad.

Speaker 9 (02:56:46):
They're they're the way they do the buggies here. It
says that they the rental, which is like you said,
a quarter it encourage you to bring it back so
they don't have to pay employees to go gather them
up all over the parking.

Speaker 2 (02:56:57):
Lot bring bring order. I would leave it. In the
part of saying you get it, you bring it back,
get the quarterback, got to give.

Speaker 3 (02:57:04):
Up a dollar to leave it, I would say, if
you let me give you a dollar, can I just
leave it wherever I am?

Speaker 2 (02:57:09):
Do you remember that time? You know Seinfeld has so
many good things?

Speaker 3 (02:57:13):
When when Seinfeld did that one about when the first
time and we all remember it that this is all Seinfeld.
We didn't come up with this when he he uh,
he said the first time they announced that you need
to clean up after yourself at the movie, he's like
what he was like, old man, he said, that's not
the deal. The deal was that we overpay for everything

(02:57:34):
we've got and then I released it. When I'm done
with it hits the floor. And that's our arrangement, I mean,
and y'all clean it up. That that makes me feel
better about how much I just paid for these overpriced snacks.
And sometimes I thought that was our arrangement. Now you're
changing the arrangement in which which was good. All right,
So speaking of al d right ald ald uh the reality?

(02:58:00):
Okay uh, there's a Coody in one of their stores. Yes,
all right, so where is this located?

Speaker 5 (02:58:07):
Chicago?

Speaker 2 (02:58:07):
And ran a buggy? Can I tell you?

Speaker 3 (02:58:10):
In Chicago, the least thing I'm concerned about, dangerous wise,
is a cody. Oh yeah, if I saw a Coody
in the store, I wouldn't be as afraid as if
I saw some of the people of Chicago.

Speaker 2 (02:58:20):
Okay, So so here we start going to.

Speaker 5 (02:58:22):
This guy is like a broom mop and that's not
going to get it done, Frandon. So he's reaching into
the freezer section of the meats. It's no bird and
uh boy, he's gonna grab it by the tail.

Speaker 2 (02:58:32):
A minute, it's inside the meat, it's in behind the meats.
There's a cody behind the meats at this grocery store.

Speaker 3 (02:58:40):
Named Aldi Aldi, yes ad, and here what is he doing.

Speaker 2 (02:58:44):
He's about to reach in.

Speaker 35 (02:58:45):
He's got it by the tail, you know, and then
he walks back in, jump right back in.

Speaker 2 (02:58:59):
That guy, that guy watching him was scared of that.
He ain't helping.

Speaker 5 (02:59:02):
The other guy's hanging back like this.

Speaker 3 (02:59:07):
You talk about bad pr I know places that my
wife will meat now because she there was a half
a bug in a salad.

Speaker 2 (02:59:13):
Can you imagine I won't shop there? Why where they
pulled the cody right of the meat right and he
went back in. Does he end up getting it? Is
he trying again? Look at him? It is this supposed
to be some animal control guy.

Speaker 5 (02:59:29):
It's the police.

Speaker 2 (02:59:30):
That guy could have helped. That's a big Why do
you leave?

Speaker 3 (02:59:34):
Get out of the mean I have to go back
that we're pulling the CODI out of the meat freezer
and he does not want out resistance.

Speaker 2 (02:59:43):
Yeah, I'm good in there too. He's really hot. Well,
how about all the meat that's around him. He's got
it made. He thought everybody's leaving him alone.

Speaker 3 (02:59:51):
That's that's not a good thing. If that's not a
good if you, if that's you're a grocery store. Look
at the Cody's in the meat freezer.

Speaker 5 (02:59:59):
No, I like my meet cage free and coyote free.

Speaker 2 (03:00:06):
Trying to climb back in there.

Speaker 5 (03:00:08):
He's always trying to turn on.

Speaker 2 (03:00:12):
Now that's any parts or something. Look at his face. Yeah,
there's something clearly wrong with that. So I think I'm
gonna trying.

Speaker 7 (03:00:20):
All the coyotes are in every single for you, every
single metropolitan area in the country.

Speaker 5 (03:00:25):
By the way, coyotes aren't.

Speaker 2 (03:00:27):
Really Yeah, they adapt, they don't care. They do.

Speaker 3 (03:00:30):
Also, speaking of stores, Walgreens, we have that on four
Walgreens has decided they will close four more of their
stores in San Francisco because they're just put out with
all these wonderful results of leftist policies. And they probably
went out and supported them and acting like they were
all in on them. And now when they realize the

(03:00:52):
environment that this eventually uh, establishes now they don't want
to do business there anymore. Twelve stores chiles of human
dung will keep people away, Thank you, Greg.

Speaker 5 (03:01:03):
That's bad for business.

Speaker 2 (03:01:04):
I think again. I think I'll take a couty.

Speaker 12 (03:01:07):
I would.

Speaker 3 (03:01:08):
I would much rather there be a coloudy somewhere in
the store as opposed to human dum.

Speaker 12 (03:01:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 26 (03:01:13):
It was only two months ago when a car ramped
into the front entrance of this location. Construction crews at
the time said it was an unsuccessful attempt at breaking
into the ATM and part of a concerning trend in
the Bay Area.

Speaker 2 (03:01:26):
It's disheartening.

Speaker 26 (03:01:29):
In a statement, Walgreen's called the closures necessary and said
increased regulatory and reimbursement pressures are weighing on our ability
to cover the costs associated with rent, staffing, and supply needs.
Although the company made no mention of crime or shoplifting
as the reason, neighbors say they see it all the time.

Speaker 2 (03:01:48):
I mean, I get it.

Speaker 36 (03:01:49):
I've seen horrible things happen in here, like people stealing things,
just coming in the bags and just going into their bag.
I've seen kids, I've seen homeless people doing it. I've
seen people that seem like they don't need.

Speaker 3 (03:02:02):
To be doing it doing it.

Speaker 26 (03:02:03):
The Petrero Hill location is the same one tied to
a major Walgreens crime spree over the span of several
months last year.

Speaker 3 (03:02:11):
And it's funny how they ostracize people for saying the
things that we say that are just true, and they
pretend they're not true, and then it costs them business
and suddenly they realize they're true as well. I'll tell
you one thing, that guy's never found that Walgreens is
where they keep the brushes and combs.

Speaker 2 (03:02:27):
Right, no rick and hey, nice jacket.

Speaker 5 (03:02:30):
Yeah, he's like, I keep voting for these Democrats. It's
disheartening that this keeps happening.

Speaker 3 (03:02:34):
So also, Starbucks, nobody know more woke than Starbucks. Remember
when they wanted to do the inclusive and inclusive, Hey, exclusivity.
Anybody can come and sit on our patios, anyone, as
long as you want whatever.

Speaker 2 (03:02:48):
Well, that policy's changing. That policy is changing.

Speaker 3 (03:02:51):
At the end of this month, Starbucks now saying that
the cafes, patios and restrooms are reserved only for paying customers,
their guests and employees. Oh wow, remember who would have
ever thought that was a better policy. That may be anyone, anytime, anywhere,
for how long. It's fine. See they made that, They
said that because that felt good. That's feel goodism. But

(03:03:14):
when it was actually implemented, it's a disaster. And now
that even they have to admit it. Not a good
business plan. Not a good business plan, I mean, and
how about that's not even difficult to discern. Who would
have thought it'd be a bad idea to let just
anybody hang out in the space reserved for customers for
as long as they wanted to, oh a free hotel.

Speaker 2 (03:03:35):
Without buying anything.

Speaker 17 (03:03:36):
Let's go phone.

Speaker 2 (03:03:37):
Calls to wrap up this hour. All of the lines
are available. The number is eight eight eighths six, Big
Box America. Let's hear from you. We'll talk to you next.

Speaker 1 (03:03:49):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Get holds no Bay
calling one eight eight eight six Big Bucks.

Speaker 2 (03:04:10):
We got it ready to go.

Speaker 3 (03:04:11):
About half the lines are still available. If you want
to join us, fire up America at eight eight eight
the number six Big Box. All right, so some other
things emailing me if you want to email, I'm you know.

Speaker 2 (03:04:28):
We're getting close.

Speaker 3 (03:04:30):
Tomorrow we'll be in Daniel chapter eleven on the Wednesday
Bible Study. I don't think we'll get all the way
through eleven tomorrow unless I approach it differently.

Speaker 2 (03:04:39):
Can't decide.

Speaker 3 (03:04:40):
Still trying to decide on that. But we're getting toward
the end of Daniel no matter what. So give me
some feedback from you what book of the Bible you'd
like to go through next? And now, first, go ahead
and look at the archives and see what we've already done.
But I'm trying to figure out, praying about it, what
we'll do next. Within two weeks three at the most

(03:05:03):
will be done with Daniels. So I need to go
ahead and start getting ready for what we would do next.
So you can email me about that. Also, the lines
are available. You can join us via the phone. Right now,
let's start with the Huntsvilles. Brian Brian one hundred point three.

Speaker 28 (03:05:17):
The River, Go right ahead, salutation sir. But Tom Hanks
in the movie The Terminal, he was a foreigner.

Speaker 2 (03:05:25):
Terrible movie.

Speaker 28 (03:05:26):
The same system at Aldy. Yeah, but it's the same
system at Aldy. You put your quarter in the cart
and unlocks it, you use it, you bring it back,
and you get the quarterback. That's how he stayed alive.
But at that point they have absolutely amazing throughput with
people waiting on you, without all the do it yourself terminals.

Speaker 2 (03:05:49):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I'm going to hurt me.

Speaker 12 (03:05:52):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (03:05:53):
The check out yourself. I just it's too I hate it.

Speaker 3 (03:05:58):
It's fine if you've got a couple items, but man,
if you're trying to get everything that you needed to
get that day, that way, and you gallon bags and
uh let's continue, then you if you get into produce,
I mean, it's like a meltdown.

Speaker 2 (03:06:10):
Let's go to Abby, Abby, welcome to the Rick Birdes show.

Speaker 28 (03:06:14):
Go ahead, Hey, good morning.

Speaker 33 (03:06:17):
Okay, first thing, if you if you are calling all
the all these that is the equivalent of calling Walmart Walmart.

Speaker 24 (03:06:25):
So you are going to the ALDI just as you
go to a Walmart.

Speaker 33 (03:06:28):
Secondly, I have a large family and I can go
to al THEE and granted I have to let them
borrow a quarter for any and I do bring my
own backs. However, I stay at minimum one hundred dollars
a trip. No, I'm looking at her savings yet. Absolutely.

Speaker 32 (03:06:46):
Now I have a.

Speaker 24 (03:06:46):
Family of eight.

Speaker 33 (03:06:48):
However, okay, that that will save me, you know, six seven,
eight hundred dollars a month. I will absolutely let them
borrow a quarter.

Speaker 2 (03:06:56):
And bring my own back, of course, or just leave
it out there. Who cares a quarter? Yeah, honey, we're
going to all of these. You got speedy sold now,
no doubt about that. Bobby. This cannot be true, Bobby,
is this true? Uh yeah, I'm not sure what show
it is, but man, it it was him.

Speaker 8 (03:07:15):
If it wasn't him, it was his brother.

Speaker 2 (03:07:17):
You speak of Sergio Dipp.

Speaker 21 (03:07:21):
Yep, yep, he was listening to that like I was
listening to do it. And uh, the reporter kind of
went off on how you know the government screwed it
up and all this, and of course he it's time
to take this state.

Speaker 28 (03:07:33):
It wasn't it was the wind.

Speaker 1 (03:07:34):
Yeah it was bad.

Speaker 2 (03:07:35):
It was real bad.

Speaker 6 (03:07:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (03:07:36):
I balle can find it.

Speaker 32 (03:07:37):
But yeah, it's funny, so you think.

Speaker 3 (03:07:39):
But but are you just saying it reminded you of
Sergio Dip or you think it was Sergio Dipp.

Speaker 7 (03:07:45):
I think it was him.

Speaker 5 (03:07:46):
I'm tried to find it. I'll drive of the truck.

Speaker 21 (03:07:48):
Well like last night when I stopped, I tried to find.

Speaker 12 (03:07:51):
It, but I couldn't.

Speaker 28 (03:07:52):
But yeah, okay, all right, it's funny.

Speaker 3 (03:07:55):
Yeah, that's Sergio dipp thing you remember we did that. Yeah,
I couldn't believe it was I think, all right, so
we'll see are you finding send it to us.

Speaker 2 (03:08:03):
Let's go to Thomas. Thomas, welcome to the show. Go ahead,
thank you all.

Speaker 4 (03:08:08):
So I had just stopped in the car and y'all
we're talking about the theft and the stores, and so
I had seen something where, you know, a retailer had
made every item in the store ninety which is the
threshold for arrest. And then you know, if you were
a paying patron, they would give you a discount. So

(03:08:31):
anybody that tried to pull some theft would be, you know,
over that threshold and therefore get arrested. So I thought
that was a pretty good idea to get.

Speaker 2 (03:08:41):
Around that that we pulled that that is idea.

Speaker 3 (03:08:44):
Yeah, okay, yeah, because this thing we got, we can't
we can't allow this to go on, this thing where
people are just coming in staling and nobody's doing anything.
As long as that's our approach, it's never going to stop.
Somebody's got to be made an example of go that's
not worth it. Uh, let's go to Let's go to Josh.
Josh and Georgia. Josh, go ahead, I.

Speaker 23 (03:09:08):
Got a question for the audience, and maybe y'all all
our cell phones we got call ri D and we
can store people's numbers. What about these people that call
you and you know their call, then they call you
about one hundred more times before the end of the day,
like you didn't know they call.

Speaker 11 (03:09:24):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (03:09:24):
You're saying everyone should know, we don't miss anyone's call, uh,
and not know it? Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 23 (03:09:32):
Yeah, yeah, but they can continue to call like you
didn't know they called you.

Speaker 2 (03:09:35):
You know, yeah, that is that is that under the
category of can't take a hint?

Speaker 23 (03:09:42):
I guess, so that may be maybe they listen, they
might get a hint.

Speaker 2 (03:09:46):
Now right, somebody's calling Josh, he wants to stop.

Speaker 9 (03:09:50):
You agree, Oh, of course, Now we'll have a You know,
sometimes if if you call somebody, they might be busy.
If you call, if they call right back, you know,
it just might be inconvenient to talk at that time.
That it doesn't mean that you're really screaming them as well,
Hey I just can't talk and I'll call you back.
But if it if it's a really quick callback, that

(03:10:11):
means something they need me.

Speaker 3 (03:10:12):
Yeah, yeah, if I see it, you know, And I
don't have my phone next to me all the time.
I do a lot more than my wife does apparently,
oh boy, but you know sometimes I do see it.
But to your point, I'm in the middle of something. Yeah,
And it's not because I don't want to tell that person.
I need to call them back when I can talk.
So I think you have this with family, we do,
and with friends. If I see a double call, then

(03:10:35):
that means you need me to call you back, yeah,
or you. I do have friends that will text and
go if you see. If you're busy right now, just
know I need to talk to you.

Speaker 2 (03:10:44):
Do you have any friends that they act like it's
important and then you talk to them in ites? Yes? Gary,
only that's the only reason I asked, Hey, call me
as soon as you can. Hey, Gary, how's it going. Hey,
how you doing? I'm fine calling you?

Speaker 3 (03:10:57):
You said to call Yeah, Uh, so I've been out there.

Speaker 2 (03:11:03):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (03:11:04):
And then I'm like, he's just gonna run the day
for me, you know, And so so yeah, Gary, I've
learned even to even I really have. I've learned to
text here and say is this big? Of course, he
always says yes, So I don't know what goodness we
got bees. Hey it's he called me. We got bees
Megan and Georgia Megan, go ahead, good morning guys.

Speaker 32 (03:11:26):
I have an idea for your will, not just that
you would spin it right now for me those of
us who've been listening for so long, how about even
though we know you're gonna spin it, we still have
to say something. And what if we had to say
it still will to me?

Speaker 4 (03:11:49):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (03:11:50):
Megan. My attitude was like, this is I'm not sure
how this is going to go.

Speaker 3 (03:11:55):
You you actually, that's actually funny because we just said
it a minute ago, didn't We just said it then
to go by accident?

Speaker 2 (03:12:00):
Did you hear say that? And uh yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:12:04):
And so it's like, and you know that was a
it's still will to me that because that goes back
to Greg Sun when he was a little boy about Hulk.

Speaker 2 (03:12:12):
But I'm the will one.

Speaker 3 (03:12:14):
And then you combine that with that with that wrestling guy,
we won't do the whole thing. The wrestling guy said,
I don't mind that, by the way, that's that's not bad,
that's not bad.

Speaker 2 (03:12:22):
Still will to me, it's still will to me.

Speaker 3 (03:12:25):
