Speaker 5 (02:11):
But the encouraging words are what he thinks is that
that's what he thinks encouraging. Yet it's nowhere near it. No,
but he thinks he's being polite.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Oh yeah, but you're not that bad. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:23):
Breath doesn't stink as bad as I thought about.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
It's not like death breath. Yes, let me encourage you.
Do you have stink breath? Yes, you do, ca diver breath.
Not really, not really. It's still not very good, not great.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
I have a concern right out of the gate, and
I just have to ask you about it because I've
noticed there's something missing today. And I don't know if
it's just the fact that Greg's hadn't dove into it
or not.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
But did Donde come yesterday? He did not Wednesday Bible study?
Yesterday Donde was not here. Are you okay? Oh, Don's
all right. It might have simply been I've noticed it's
kind of you know, fourth did youly? It fell on
a Friday, and that made it weird for vacationing people.
They didn't know what to do with it. They didn't
know whether if they were going for a week vacation

(03:09):
they should start the week and end it with the
fourth or they should do the fourth then start. Yeah,
you notic saying it felt kind of in between two weeks,
so you don't know which one. I think everybody split
up a little bit, which that might help with the crowds.
But yeah, apparently not.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Well, I just I noticed there's I mean, that'd been
peanuts all over the counter, you know, he'd been tearing
them up well prior to the show starting, and I
just noticed that was missing today.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
So yeah, well, well I found that Maxicado that said
he has one called encouraging word. It was one of
today because I said, well I was going to use
that one. Yeah, all right, so great. I don't know
who it was. Yeah, we just had them on. But yeah,
let me chase you what I'm saying. That's where that
come from. There's two they said, dang, he got mine,
So I was going to do that. There's two chasms,

(03:54):
and there's two chasms and they're both really really large.
One is between Sinful Man and the Holy Number. Two
is you and Max Loicato. The chasm between you two
is large, Greg, Maxlicato is one of the kindest, most
gentle people ever. You're nothing like Maxicator. I didn't say
that I just said I was going to use that now,

(04:15):
keeping my idea for that same I mean podcast. Have
you ever run across anybody? She didn't get I should
have gotten the copyright on it, right, Greg should have
got the one encouraging word. Yeah. Can you imagine, dang,
Max beat me to Greg. I'm gonna talk to ironhel Press.
Please write the book encouraging wordscouraging word. Yeah, please, and
they'll help you. Please do it. You know you're The

(04:36):
first chapter is how do you get back on your feet?
Get up off your wrung? Right? Greg?

Speaker 7 (04:41):
Very encouraging.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Have you ever met anybody one and get up off
your hand? There may be people that don't read his books.
There may be people that you know, don't know much
about him. But if you ever met anybody says, I
tell you one thing. I don't like that Maxlicato. He's
a little rough way. Who does he think he is?
But a little course right? Even the way he talks,
you know, I mean, I can't imagine him ever raising
his voice. Can you imagine Mexicat'll being like real mad?

(05:04):
An't you? No? Rick? I'm just gonna tell you I'm
really upset with you. I've had enough of your around.
I'm gonna take a poke. Keep it up and I'm
gonna take a poke. Rick. I can I just say
this to you. If you touch my Jimmy Dan sausage again,
you and I are going to have a real problem.
Now I have a problem, right, So so anyway, and

(05:24):
let me just warn everybody with low one food. So
just sweat me. It's all right. That takes a big
old I just said. Yeah, Well, I'm gonna thank Chris Adler.
Chris Adler, you'm the new Dondee. That's right. You have
actually completely different style. But yeah, you've taken a lot
of pressure. They're good, but they're not the same. But
you've taken a lot of pressure off Donde because at

(05:45):
least he can go to that. It's not it's not
what he prefers. That's two different categories. To me, that's
not that's not one can't fill in for the other.
I've seen you run your hands off in him tho
when Donde didn't come, No, I dump him in my hand.
I don't run my hands off in And we've discussed that.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
We discussed. Yeah, there was.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
A time and that eighties nobody cared. We were at
public places, everybody run their hands off in the popcorn
right right. This is the thing I don't understand about
this new thing where everybody's all freaked out. Where were
we throughout every bit of my life except the last
few years? Guys? Do you remember the things? I mean,
most of the life was revolved around. Everything was somewhat

(06:22):
dirty and nobody cared. Greg, I want you to think
about just the grime and the filth of just being
involved in public school sports. Oh, just the grime and
the filth, and no one said a word. And you
know what, no one was dying, no whatever. As a
matter of fact, it's land dormant in it and it's

(06:42):
and it's going to show up my few years. Well
if it does. You know, look at this. I mean
I've clipped sixty. It's already hadn't beat me right right,
I mean you know it didn't like take me out
of here at twenty two, you know, so even though
other things nearly did, but that didn't. So yeah, I
don't this new thing, you know, And we always go
too far as human beings. We can't get a balance.

(07:05):
We couldn't get a balance. We either are don't care
enough about hygiene or we go to the point that
we care so much about it, it's actually a negative effect. Yeah,
you can go too far. I don't think of public
peanut bowls too far, but I just, I know, want
to run my hands off somebody that I got you
the whole crowds walking there digging in it, says a

(07:25):
man who drank out of public water fountains for how
much of your life with people standing in line, one
after another putting their mouth on it, and nobody said
anything but Greg, everybody's mouth was down there. It was,
but you didn't know what people did before you, I know, Yeah,
drinking out of hose pops. Look, when you're out there
in the middle of that, you'll you'll when you're hose
pops when you're I like that hose pipe taste. Somebody

(07:47):
somebody's out there with a straw because somebody put their
hands on the cup and they drink out of a
hose pop that laid on the ground. I mean, what
do we even talk the water come out.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
About what they got to that kind?

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Yeah, you mess up.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
You know, it tastes like rubber. It is real hot, and.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
You don't know what's crawled up in that host hospital.
No one even cares. Dogs have licked it so much,
dogs of peat on it. Maybe drug your butt across.
Oh sure, I don't know about that.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
I think what it is is that Greg, we spent
so many years running off in public bowls of peanuts
and popcorn. I regret that that that you look back
on it knowing now, and that was kind.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
There's things you regret. Yeah, that bothers you. Doesn't picture
now somebody sitting there running their fingerp of nosa, scratching
their crack and then reaching in there and getting peanut.
Let me start. I never thought about that. Then listen,
let me just hit you and hit you with this
waving hold on just a minute.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Because you were the one doing it, Greg, May you
were the one doing it.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Well, I know the things I've done and my hands
in there, and I bet everybody else did too. But
let's throw this out there. The other day when you
mentioned this, this is the part I thought was was
classic human beings. Of all the things that you said
you regretted in a bar, that's what you regretted. Yeah,
you're right. If I could take one thing I watching

(09:14):
by my hand in that snack bow, Greg, so many
other things happened in there. Yeah, all that stuff was
working pretty good. I can't think of any improvements anything
on that, right, no improvements. So so anyway, a lot
to do today and we'll work through all of it.
Got you some updates, we'll get those in there. Yeah,

(09:36):
speaking of the Wednesday Bible Study, the archive is available now.
So I you missed it yesterday, catch it on the
YouTube channel or the podcast channel. Joke chapter twenty one
and you can catch that. Also, another Strange Encounter is
coming out this weekend. We'll tell you about that too
as the show marches on.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
All right, America. Much to do on the program as
we go forward today. So I did mention a brand
new Strange Encounters coming out this weekend. We will interview
Dana Free. She has written the book What Every Christian
Needs to Know about Spiritual Warfare, Well what a resource

(10:38):
to This thing is chock full of important information and
scripture to backet. We'll talk about that this weekend when
episode seven comes out of Strange Encounters. Also, if you
are you know in the audience and it's you are
someone you love, we're a traditional step in tub is

(11:01):
problematic could could learning could turn into a horrible injury hospitalization.

six twelve twenty one eight hundred nine five six twelve

(11:45):

(12:07):

to boost your energy and prove your sleep. So ask
about all that too, So go to Rick burgessshow dot
com look under sponsors for safe step walk in tubs.
Now we were talking about all the things of old
and how now we're afraid of everything except for God apparently.

(12:28):
But and and we're talking about you know, at one time,
apparently our immune system did pretty well before we were
terrified of every germ. So somebody sent me a picture.
I forgot about this, butte from the public restroom. Do
you remember this? Yeah, just pull it down so we

(12:51):
would drive our hands. Everybody in there together, and and
those of you that are too young to remember this
piece of work. It was I don't know what, like
a towel hanging hanging, hanging down, but but you never
threw it away. It just kept running it back through
and back out again, and you always had something to

(13:12):
dry your hands on. But everybody, everybody used it. It
wasn't just yours, no right, they were supposed to pull
your pull it down and then go to the clean it.
I think would have melted if that was the case.

Speaker 6 (13:24):
I remember seeing those as a kid, and I'm like,
this is just an endless disgusting toilet. Forgot all sharing.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Yeah, yeah, I forgot all about that. Beauty.

Speaker 7 (13:32):
Let's just re use each other's toilet paper.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
While we're listen. Those things were that was the way
to go.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Yeah, it was a couple of good No, I was
just I had a little piece of audio here. I
was wanting to see if y'all could tell me what's
going on just a little bit here.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
It feels good.

Speaker 7 (13:47):
She did a great job.

Speaker 6 (13:48):
We weren't underwater and she didn't panic.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
So went underwater and she didn't panic. You want a
little bit more if you if you want a little
bit more less. It was just some sort of animal
we're releasing back in the wild. Are it a human?

Speaker 8 (14:00):
I know?

Speaker 3 (14:01):
What do you think? Greg? And not think it's an animal?
You think it's an animal?

Speaker 4 (14:06):
Okay, happy, did a good job.

Speaker 7 (14:08):
We're just gonna have dinner and go to the party
and celebrate.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Everybody.

Speaker 6 (14:11):
Never done anything like that, jumping a water puddle with
my wife. So I'm gonna go hear some other stories
from everybody else.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
He jumped in a water puddle with his wife.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
Polar plunge, A polar plunge even weirder than that?

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Well, uh, well is it is it? Mud? Are we
jumping in mud? That's that's not bad. That's good, Rick, Okay,
that's good. We're getting We're getting Okay, we're getting warmer?
Are we are we rushing?

Speaker 9 (14:36):
Hope?

Speaker 3 (14:36):
What are we doing in the mud?

Speaker 10 (14:37):
Is there?

Speaker 5 (14:38):
Are we twenty twenty five wife carrying World Championships return
to Finland?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
When I throw them over their show that way Caleb
and Justin. That was Justin. They emerged victorious in the
main race. So that's when you carry your wife upside down?

Speaker 5 (14:55):
Yeah, yeah, and you you're running through the obstacle course
and yeah, you see in your butt. Yeah, they wrapped
their arms.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Yeah, in the studio, I think I blocked it out
of my mind because of the trump. I didn't. I
did carry you around. Yeah, And if I blocked it
out of my mind, I know Abler did. Yeah, there's
something that do that. But the guy on the right.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
So basically what happens is there there your wife's heads
down your butt and their butts on the back of
your neck and and and then you're holding on to.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
The back of their thighs. But like, if you just
what you guys like, yeah, if you just joined I'd
like to carry Terry like that on the right.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
If you just either of those things.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Oh, there's a traditional back right when you're when you're running,
your head bounces, so I would think your wife's heads
constantly like banging on your butt.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
It is, I'm going to ask you to stop talking.

Speaker 6 (15:52):
Well that's what Speedy's onto something here, But it works better.
What happens they tried. We've got the tradition on the
left and you got the inverted on the right, and
traditional goes down.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
Oh yeah, well, oh god, wo face playing it. I
think he broke his nose just he hit his face.
He's hurt. Can I correct something? You're not holding onto
your wife. We shouldn't be watching. We should be watching this.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
He just jumped in a fuddle and your face just
went straight in. And now do you'll mind if I
make a correction. I said that you had your wife.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
You had your hands holding on to the back of
your wife's knees.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
Actually, your wife can hold her own knees. She can
hold her own she she she.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Just now it's around and she can hold the back
of her own thighs. That way, you can run like
with your arms like you like you're running and she's
holding on to herself. Yes, you know what I'm saying
like you control you and not me.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
Right you two words.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
So when he said, hey, we went underwater, her head's underwater.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
He's not. But she held it together. Hey, let me
tell you something. Listen, if you just joined us, we
are talking about a competition that we are not talking
about where babies come from. Okay, this guy, this is unbelievable.
I'll tell you what it is. That guy and his
wife are going there's no way. I know the other

(17:26):
method is better, but there's no way I'm doing that,
and they think they can do it. I wish you could.
I could see you right there, Gregg. Wow, I'll tell
you what you want. You want to wear a ball?
Ball cap backwards?

Speaker 6 (17:37):
No, that guy's face went into the sand.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Yeah, that's not good. I guess it's Rose. I don't know.
But Caleb and Justin they're the US couple and they
want it. They wanted they got a little pool here
they have to run through. My goodness, what's in there?
This guy's here? I mean, how did they even make

(18:03):
it to the championship? Is there was there a bracket playoffs?
How did you even get to it?

Speaker 6 (18:09):
It looks like we have like a professional white carrying couple,
and then we have people that just showed up.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
That that's a that's the better technique, man, it is.
She's got to have some strength to hold on to
her back legs, and apparently yoga pants are a must.

Speaker 6 (18:23):
Yeah right, all right, speedy you last time you carried me.
This time I could carry you. If you see if
we can try this new method where you grab your.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Own legs and you I don't I think my head
would drag the ground, would you carrying?

Speaker 8 (18:35):
Man?

Speaker 6 (18:35):
It's good, be fine, but you don't have any hair,
so it would be fine. So you know, if slick, you.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Know, there's a few things I forbid, but I think
I might.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Is the Rick Burgers show, all right in America?

Speaker 3 (19:00):
And we wind our way into another show today. So
we've uh, we're off and running. We're off and running.
There it comes Greg hobbling through. I don't think of
a little speeding no way again.

Speaker 11 (19:16):
All right.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
So we were practicing out in the lobby, Rick carrying
each other. Who was the woman? He was the upside down?
He was the woman. Yeah that on that can't happen.
He said he could play that role easy. Wow, Yeah, yeah,
let me miss I'm gonna say this because I think
it's the key to long term success for the show.
I'll never ever step in and say no, let somebody
else describe this. I want you to describe everything we

(19:39):
talk about, because you get yourself in a buying so fast.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
But that's yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Was that not real though, guys? Oh yeah, it was real.
I like that anything that I compete in I want
to win. Obviously, that technique is the best technique if
you want to win. But that's that. I don't know
how you can do that. We're talking about it talking
about I'm talking aout how you can mendle. There's somebody
with a side car. Yeah, yeah, we had the uh

(20:04):
not that uncomfortable one. That's the best one.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
You're talking about the wife carrying World Championships. They were
in Finland. A US couple won good crowd Watch and
this year's the addition, it featured a team event, a
separate woman's series, and altogether two hundred people from eighteen
countries took part in this and a US couple won it.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Yeahs us car us shan't heavy. She she's my wife,
of course she ain't heavy. It being carried wife carrying
and that kind of narrows it down, they're probably eliminade.
Some athletes said they're not married but would be good
at I.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
Know that some husbands are shorter than their wives. Uh,
but in this case, you have to be shorter than
your husband for this tour.

Speaker 6 (20:48):
Oh no, that which is not necessarily necessary.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
Is that a couple? How not?

Speaker 6 (20:54):
Because just as long as your body, your torso, your
torso is not longer than there your husband's torso and legs.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
I mean, it's going to cause problems, but you can
get it done. But you want your if you're the wife,
you want your head to end it. It may be
his butt not all the way.

Speaker 7 (21:11):
And you want your husband to be taller than you.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
Yeah, just like this in general, if women were honest. Yeah,
and that's fine, that's okay.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Occasionally you have a big man that can handle a
wife that is taller than he is, and that's great too.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
I need a Bluebird video. But sounds like you're really
doubling down.

Speaker 6 (21:29):
I have a friend that's his wife is way taller
than now. I felt bad about saying what I said
a second ago, and he's he's he gets it.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
You know, you got it done. Everybody in here thought
of the friend we have that their wife. That's why,
that's why you didn't pick up a lot of support.

Speaker 6 (21:44):
Right, Yeah, yes, they had a separate women's great women
can compete to said Greg, you don't.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Listen, why is that wife? I mean, I guess it
could be. That's what I said. I said this year's
edition they had a team event and a separate women's
series as well.

Speaker 6 (21:59):
Now did they have to be in a relationship? The
women are, because.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
That's what it's called.

Speaker 5 (22:03):
I will say for the wife was Susanne Summer's thing
where you start your thighs. You have to have extremely
strong thighs because some technique is to see the ladies
they just scissor their their ankles and they and buddy,
they are just yeah, they're just they're they're absolutely exclsing.

(22:28):
You know, So you're trying to squeeze both sides of
your husband's neck.

Speaker 12 (22:35):
Water.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
Is that not what happened? I'm not trying. This is
this is what how much do you describe.

Speaker 7 (22:40):
That the women got stuck in the puddle.

Speaker 6 (22:43):
I'm sorry, but the women got stuck in the puddle.
I call it so Rick.

Speaker 5 (22:46):
What happens is see if you see here so the
man has to be able to see. If you can't
hold your grip, then you start sliding down. Now your
your calves are in front of his face and he
can't see, so now he's trying.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
To pull you back down. I have got it.

Speaker 6 (23:03):
You need to be a wife carry coach.

Speaker 3 (23:06):
The only one that is Mario and Luigi.

Speaker 6 (23:08):
Yes, it's Mario.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Greg, Gosh, grandson was all in this. How you not
know that? He corrects me every time? Because you've been
messing so much you think you do. I don't know
which one it is, you know what? Because I'm grown.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
It's Mario. That's like saying I don't know Chad Norris
instead of Chuck Norris.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Well, is it Mario Andretti or Mario Andretti?

Speaker 6 (23:28):
I think it's Mario Andretti.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
I don't think Mario is a name.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Trouble. I struggle with that name. I would like to
try to and Greg try to get this question in.
I want to ask you and the women's division on this.
Do they have to be a couple or just any
two women can carry each called wife carrying? I would
I think it was how you enter here.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
Yeah, let's want to hear.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
But it's literally called wife carrying. That's the name of
the sport right here. Let's just hear them and we'll
be able to tell it was a women's division.

Speaker 6 (23:58):
Videos of previous competitions. If she squats, but hope we
know that many friends. The main thing he did actually
was we got married.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Oh okay, it's called cup. They look like they look
like friends standing there, but once the competition started, they
didn't like friends anymore. I saw the way they looked
at each other, like, hey, maybe the sport is called

(24:30):
wife care. I know, but then maybe they could be
just not want to believe it because it's you looked
around at the world.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
This is not this is not in common that this
year it featured a team events and it's separate women's series.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
So I didn't know, but women's series of a sport
called wa wife care. So do you so you think
all the women yes have to be in the sport
is called the lesbian race, correct, Yeah, they should have
said they had a lesbian division. They should have said that,
all right. I mean, if you're breaking down the brack,
if you're.

Speaker 5 (24:59):
Breaking yeah, I wonder what I wonder like if you
series you have different brackets and pool play where each
region of the country or the world. You know, you
have to make it through that to even get to Finland?
Is that the case here?

Speaker 3 (25:14):
I don't know looks like it because some of these
people they don't look like they're very good what I'm saying,
So they must they must have had much competition where
they live. Let's their friends. Well, okay, we got the
way we got Actually, Greg, I heard one.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
Of the Australian Australian, Greg, don't look at me like that.
They're Australian. Okay, they were on Australia couple.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Okay, okay, Hey, if you.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
Say Mario one more time, goodness.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
They say one of the husbands. I asked you if
they worked out. He said no. Sometimes they were good
at it, he said, but the worst race I ever
had was still pretty good.

Speaker 7 (25:54):
Keep losing, keep entering the content. The training was worth it.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
I'm on, I'm gonna I'm going to say that I
think we've we've taken this topic of where we can
I think we're done with. Can I say one other
thing I wish you wouldn't.

Speaker 5 (26:06):
Well, I'm just gonna say the one technique for the
winners that I saw is that when the woman, you know,
when she's on the back and she's upside down, got it,
she has to take her hands and straighten her arms
on the back of his butt to where she can
like when they go unto water.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Show me, show me that again. Some of them went underwater.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
You know that that takes talent because as you're running
and he even said this, Rick, if you want to
hear it again, I don't when he's describing, you know,
like they went underwater and we're even you know, like
he was complimentary of his wife.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
I guess is what I'm trying to sell.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
He feels good.

Speaker 7 (26:42):
She did a great job.

Speaker 6 (26:43):
We weren't underwater and she didn't panic, so.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Her head was underwater while he was running.

Speaker 6 (26:49):
I saw it.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
I watched it. I saw the video. And did you say,
it's like we're immersing from the water. Yeah, I saw
all of it. Gosh, as a matter of fact, I'll
see all of it for sadly the rest of my life. Rick,
Next Running of the Bulls this week, let's go from this,
look at her. Look at that when that.

Speaker 6 (27:04):
Woman is completely under.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
She was struggling almost what watch the watch the lady
in the blue helmet.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
And then red shirt.

Speaker 9 (27:15):
Look at her hands, look at red look look at red, yes,
and worship the bald heads between Look at cherry mind
like she's having a bald baby.

Speaker 13 (27:29):
He looks like she's having a man as a baby
out there. He's giving birth to a man, look like giving.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Look at the head on that baby. That's horrible. So
the baby's gotta go to you, by the way, Oh
my goodness. Also, Greg, we will We'll have to ask me. Yeah,
he probably You probably hadn't been bringing in for maintenance.

(28:02):
But you're gonna have to carry your gate, are you?
And this God needs to be right. But like they were, buddy,
you need to do the upgrade that that upbrade just
came in. You must not be jack. I didn't see
them together. Yeah they were standing right there, right, but
they look like friends. And what's the name of the sport? Well,
we'll be back, Oh my goodness, God, loved guy. The

(28:26):
Burgers show your source for the ladist updates on why
Harry the Sport. Yeah, we'll be back.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. Be bold and let
the whole world know that you listen to the Rick
Burger Show. Cool merchandise is available now. Just go to

(28:57):
rickburgershow dot com and click shot.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
All right, America, a lot of you. Yesterday I was
wearing the Mendo running the rain shirt and maybe I'd
do a good job of telling you, but I started
getting people commenting on social media and stuff. Hey man,
where do you get those? Right there? Rick bergershow dot com,
they're there. Just click shop on the homepage, or if
you're texting text Nation, this text store you can see

(29:20):
it there too. A couple of the updates we want
to run down for you today. You know, it seems
like we as Americans, we get all excited, like we're
really gonna get some information, and you know, ma'am, this
is really gonna be something. Here comes the JFK papers,
Here comes to Epstein files, Here comes this, Here comes that.
When was the last time any of us any of

(29:42):
this led to anything? Never? So here's another one. Hey,
Biden's Doctor's coming in. Yeah, Hey, we're gonna get to
the b By the way, do y'all really need the doctor?
Does anybody? Why do we keep pretending that we're unearthing
that Biden was the leader we diagnose the issue leading
the free world why. Clearly the evidence of that is

(30:04):
just overwhelmed. We can all see it. We don't have
to be told anything. And do we think he was
making all these decisions?

Speaker 14 (30:10):
Know?

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Is it likely that even things he was signing, they
were using auto pen Yes, I don't know that. I mean,
what I'm saying is he's not the president anymore.

Speaker 15 (30:20):
He's done.

Speaker 14 (30:22):
It was bad.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
We shouldn't let this happen again. But we're kind of
acting like we want to do some bombshell that Biden
was serving us while while not having his cognitive skills.
I don't I know, we moved on from that two
years ago. Yeah, right, yeah, but anyway, we're not getting
information from his doctor. No, he just he rolled in,
sat down. Kevin O'Connor. Kevin O'Connor was Biden's doctor, and

(30:48):
you know what he said, I take the fifth not
telling you anything. All we learned was his name, which
we knew. We now know it's Kevin o'canner, which means
he didn't want to criminalize it. So yeah, yeah, maybe
filled out false record. I don't know, so, so it's
anything there.

Speaker 10 (31:08):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Connor pleted the fifth to multiple questions about his time
with the former president. Joe Biden during the sit down.
It resulted in a hasty end to what could have
been an hour long, hours long with an ass deposition.
I'm going to read the first two questions. They were asked,
were you ever told to lie about the President's health?
He pleaded the fifth He would not answer the question.

(31:30):
I got you second question, did you ever believe President
Biden was unfit to execute his duty? James Comber, the
Republic from Kentucky was there. He took the fifth on
that again, so according to Comber, this is unprecedented. I
think this adds more fuel to the fire that there
was a cover up. Well, Comber, I appreciate you trying

(31:52):
to like get an official word on that. We all
could plainly see there was a cover up. We got it,
so know that we know. Yeah on the stand corn
pop right, we didn't need to not open for well.
And the reason why, I think that even people on
the left couldn't say it why he was serving, because
they knew it would lead to all kinds of chaos.
But even they are coming, they're going, yeah, of course,

(32:15):
but we couldn't say it why he was serving, because
it would have got our party in trouble. Uh so,
but no one believes that President Biden was on top
of the garbage. You know how sometimes people just go
too far. You remember when they would just go too far?
Oh yeah, not sharp?

Speaker 6 (32:31):
Yeah, I mean keep up with running circles around the
sharpest person in the room.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
And I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't. Sometimes I did
think he was the sharpest person in the room. Depends
on who's in the meeting, right, But you guys, you
went too far with you know what they should have said.
Of course he's aging. When people age, sometimes you get
absent in mind that he doesn't have dementia. He's not
going through Alzheimer's. He can execute his duties. But they
but they did, they went so far the best he's

(32:58):
ever think. He's got super powers and he's going to
another term, right, so we all know can't keep up
with him.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
My goodness.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
But O'Connor says, you're not going to criminalize me. I
take the fifth, I'm out, So there you go. Secret
Service Speedy said this when I walked into the studio
today and Athla and I are we even talking about time?
How sometimes it seems slow, sometimes it seems fast. Does
it seem like it's almost the one year anniversary of
the attempted assassination on Donald Trump, Butler Pennsylvania doesn't seem

(33:28):
it's been. By the way, Ye, did I ever tell
anything about this guy we were talking about? Yes, we
were talking about that. July thirteenth is a one year
the president in the head nearly did month? Did this
guy just vanish off the face of the earth. I
know he's dead, but I mean, yeah, but nothing about it.
It's very mysterious, that whole thing. Yeah, I mean, we're
gonna rehash everything. We be nice that for everybody come

(33:51):
around and said, well, let me tell you what this
guy was all about. And here's here's what we think.
The motivation was beyond the obvious, and here's what we think.
It's just all of a sudden, like who he didn't
kill the president? It was close, Let's move on. Yeah,
but anyway got there.

Speaker 7 (34:05):
It's not really one of those things you.

Speaker 6 (34:06):
Just go show yeah that was close, and then move on.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Yeah, there's no doubt he had help on the inside.
I mean there's no way you get into that position
without somebody helping you. Yeah, that's just logic. I mean,
no way a kid like this can get to such
a easy Yeah, thankfully was not able to pull it off.
Secret Service has suspended to your point, Greg's six agents
over failures during Trump's assassination attempt in Butler. So took

(34:34):
about a year for us to investigate all that. Uh
and so now the Secret Services, yep, we got six
people we think kind of let everybody down, didn't do
their job real well, and they have suspended them. Does
that mean fired, that mean probations a little time. So anyway,

(34:55):
we know that the director Kimberly was it cheatle she
was forced to was nine. We remember that. Remember we're
going to remember the first week.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
Oh yeah, and then we saw the slanted roof. Yes,
the whole thing that we didn't it was dangerous up there.
We didn't want to agents up there.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
And you're stangery, right, people walking around less than two
hundred yards secret Service agents and there never in dangerous situations.
Now there's people that claim this is fake. Well, now,
I don't know how to fake the guy that got
killed in the stands. But the whole thing like this
was that Trump they set it up. So so we
galvanized Trump. People around Trump for saying Carlage. Don't heal

(35:32):
that quick and instant. Now there's no sign of it,
and that just you know how it is. Well, like
you said, Greg, you're you're bringing up you, you're bringing
up the obvious and that is so I guess if
we're going to fake this, we get people you killed
in the bleachers, right and uh and we make sure
that there's a shot that that grazes him, yeah, or
that that was just pretend. Okay, uh so anyway, those

(35:56):
the shot to win the stands was real, right, Well,
it's just it's it's all weird.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
I mean, look, I'm not into everything's a conspiracy theory,
because I mean not everything is a conspiracy. However, it
listens at this lot, there's a lot of unique situations
that have never happened before. And this whole you know,
this was the only rally that SNN was at. Yes,
but this was the only time they used counters not

(36:21):
there was just like, okay, did they really think this?
They thought thought they thought this was going to happen, and.

Speaker 6 (36:25):
They and we never hearing it live. This they've never
aired at Trump rally live and they were just so
happy to be airing that one.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
I just don't know. I am the guy, the shooter.
It's like they quit talking about it. You know, it
is something like this. I mean, you would think we
would have a major, in depth background. I look at this,
look at that, and you'll release. By now it's been
a year. We can't even get a documentary, yea, but said,
the motive for the shooting has never been established. With
only limited information about Crooks, he was a registered Republican,

(36:54):
but in January twenty twenty one, he made a fifteen
dollars donation to the Political Action Committee that raised money
for Democrats. In the days leading up to the Butler rally,
Crooks made at least sixty Google searches about the geography
of Butler, but also about winning where the Democratic and
Republican summer conventions would be held. He also googled how

(37:15):
far away was Oswald from Kennedy, referring to Lee Harvey Oswald,
who shot and killed President Kennedy in sixty three. So
that's all we know. Used to be a Republican, start
giving money to the Democrats, started googling everything about it.
That's not the issue. I understand that anybody could do that.
The issue is, we know people are going to do that,

(37:37):
so the place is secure, correct, Could someone who did
all this get that kind of access, that's the question.
I'm sure there are all kinds of cooks willing to
take the shot, but how do they get into position
to make the shot?

Speaker 7 (37:53):
And people were like, hey, there's a dude up there.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
Yeah, right to that point, right, local police seemed to
be trying to do something about it walking around the building,
but you had this the Secret Service snipers on the
roof and seemed to be doing nothing about it until
the guy started shooting.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
So six people have been suspended, not sure exactly what
that means, saying that they were derelic in their duties
obviously in this assassination attempt, which, by the way, happened
on July thirteenth of last year.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Right, this is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 6 (38:49):
You know.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
You gotta find.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
The voice of reason in an unreasonable world. The Rick
Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
How about in America? Thank you for being with us today,
brand new hour Raging the Games. Here Speedy, Greg Burgess,
Eddie Van Adler. We're all ready for another hour still
to come, more stories, unstreamed phone calls. I'm going to
start the hour with a little Looksie at something under

(39:29):
Hey Urge, text Nation you can reach us eight eight
eight six Big Vox eight eight eight six two four
four eight six nine you can text our call somebodyce
put Greg's book cover on there, of the new book.

(39:50):
He's got Greg good good, that's good. Yeah, it's encouraging words, enouraging, encouraging,
King of your there he is, Okay, what's wrong? Your
face can be cruel? Feeling down in the pooper? Let
the encourage words from the King of Uranus pull you
through the troubling times written by Jack Burges. What a

(40:10):
good one. Uh, let's take a little look here. We
have a listener, little hay birde action here. So this
comes from Ben hay Bird, Hey Burge, I want to
take a second to address something I think we all

(40:31):
need to be reminded of. Okay, and I've got the
perfect way of reminding. I'd like you and the guy's
opinion on something. The theme music for different segments on
the show have slowly but surely drifted over to AI
generated music. True, don't get me wrong. It's a new
day and age and AI is a great tool for
us to use responsibly until it will take over the

(40:55):
world as we know it. But let us not forget,
my dear friends, what made this country great, and that
is good old fashioned, red blooded American songwriting inspiration. Just
a man his keyboard and raw musical talent on full
display is the way God intended us to make a
joyful noise. Now, sure the quality may be subpar, but

(41:15):
that's what makes it great. Adler knows exactly what I'm
talking about. So now this is, by the way, this
is so good what he said he's done. It might
even get Greg back in the gym. So what what
he has done is he said, consider this my official submission.

(41:36):
Apparently he has written this and performed it a little
song called doing a Little Better, And I want this
to be considered considered to now be the song anytime
y'all do a segment about doing a little better. Okay,
he has sent it in and he wants us to
give it a listen. Okay, now it's his AI song. No, no,

(41:57):
he it's his. That's what he's saying.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
What were you think?

Speaker 3 (42:01):
Like, what were you thinking about? Thinking about you?

Speaker 14 (42:06):
An?

Speaker 3 (42:07):
We just got to yawn out of you in the
middle of it.

Speaker 6 (42:10):
Yeah, neutral.

Speaker 7 (42:14):
Happens to Yeah, well.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
I was listening. Then I thought, here's another song, Greg,
But but the fact is not AI.

Speaker 14 (42:22):
I thought it was.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
I know, my hand is up. Do you really think
that I would come in here and bore you with
another AI song? Well, Greg, the whole reason I picked
this email is because he's going to try to perform it.
That's the whole thing that's got it.

Speaker 5 (42:34):
Okay, I thought you would like did you hear the
part about getting you back in the gym?

Speaker 3 (42:40):
Maybe that's why. Greg. When I looked at it, you
know what, I even thought to myself, Oh this is something,
baby brother. Yeah, I mainly did this for you because
you love to. You know, let's face it, you like to.
Here's some things that may not be great. Okay, it's
gonna disappoint me. It's going to be good. Well, well
I have not listened to it, by the way, it's wrong.
Here we go, Greg listening now. I am all right, goodness.

Speaker 15 (43:02):
Gracious, just a little bit better, just a little bit.

Speaker 3 (43:15):
I'm kind of liking it.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
I'm in just a little bit a little bit today.

Speaker 6 (43:23):
That's fantastic.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
I want that in the rotation. Any fitness stories, anything
about doing a little better, you know yesterday, are worked
out yesterday.

Speaker 16 (43:36):
Grand it is a little bit better, just a little bit.

Speaker 4 (43:50):
I like it a little bit today. I'm not well done.

Speaker 2 (43:57):
I do like that.

Speaker 3 (43:59):
That is that's a good one. That's Benny in the
sip missip. Well, Benny, it looks like you've done it, Benny, Benny,
it looks like you've done it. Boy, Benny the dude.

Speaker 9 (44:13):
Head.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Now I know, okay, you know it's a hoby yesterday
because I was trying to do a little bit better. Yeah,
come on, that's right, Greg.

Speaker 15 (44:28):
When you come into the job.

Speaker 4 (44:37):
A little bit today, that's fantastic.

Speaker 5 (44:43):
Anytime Rick Sean comes to the house and you have
an update, we have that theme for that.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
We also have when Idler.

Speaker 5 (44:50):
I think we incorporated when he goes rolling, I think so, yeah,
because that's his work out too.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
That's a that's a workout.

Speaker 7 (44:56):
I'll let you know next year when I go again.

Speaker 6 (44:58):
My goodness, it's been terrible to do.

Speaker 3 (45:03):
I didn't like them pulseatings hots. I had to do
those on Tuesday and I can hardly walk today. That's
that's where you go down and they make you only
come about three quarters away up. You have to hold
it go down and then come and do it for
like a certain amount of time. Just keep doing it.
Fine to watch.

Speaker 6 (45:17):
Oh yeah, pulse eating split squats. Hey, that's another one.

Speaker 3 (45:22):
Did you hear your baby brother? That's what he got
out of it.

Speaker 6 (45:24):
He was making fun of you.

Speaker 3 (45:25):
Thanks, you got fun of your exercise, Rick, Rick laid
back just a little bit, arms crossed. I didn't think
that probably looks funny. You know how we ended it.
I actually carried Cherry and the wife and the wife
across across the right, through the right right in there,
and we jumped right in uh a little bit by

(45:46):
the way, hay Bird. Hay Bird's got a lot of
this yesterday. You know, I will look, we're not above reproach.
You know, we we liked it a little bit, say
things and all that. But when the guy said that
he thought the intro on the show that starts it
live was radio goobish. No, No, that's that that that
that kind of thing is when radio was great. It
wasn't goobish then. And I didn't realize it. But he

(46:06):
was watching YouTube, so he didn't get the same experience
I got. I'm just gonna let Jeremy represent about ten
emails I got yesterday.

Speaker 14 (46:12):
Hey.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
We love to start the show as saying, hey, are
you ready all that? Please keep keeping on that that
actually rocks. It's not goobish at all. I got a
lot of those also this Hey bird, Hey burge, It's
from Andrew when I was in elementary school. Every time
I walked into the library, the train starts a rolling.
Now whenever I talk with you, and now when I

(46:33):
walk in the bookstore, same thing. Can't believe you'll addressed
this yesterday. What is it with libraries and books, books
and quietness? Do you like the do you like the turn?
The term the train starts a rolling? That is funny? Yes,
so kind of makes me go to the bathroom. Yes,
it works on anything. I don't. I don't know why
that is rolling. They said something about this, So I

(46:53):
got a lot of those yesterday too, So all right,
we'll be back. So so we say that Ben from
the sip, he gets added he's our new thing for
GM a little better. I like ground and do a
little bit. Yeah what so we'll be back hanging in there.
More of the rick Burgers show coming up right after this.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the only show hosted

(47:40):
by an Oxford Graduate, Well, Oxford High School, the Rick
Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
Thank you America for being with us so as we
work our way back, we have a lot to discuss.
Thank you for your participation. Let you have a few
things you might want to be aware of, you might
want to jot down. Talissee, Alabama, Hey Talisy, what's up?

(48:10):
Looking forward? Lord willing to seeing all of you on
Sunday night, have the honor to speak at the Man
Church services coming up, So men, let's hang out. We'll
have a great time and get you plugged into one
of our curriculum there. So that's coming up this Sunday night. Also,
I want to make you aware find the details at
the Maanchurch dot com under events. Also, you remember we

(48:33):
had Miles Morgan on the program. I remember that, Yeah,
hottest new country artist in Nashville, and you know he's
from our area and man, we're pulling for him. We
know it's family and great kid from right here in Birmingham.
Every tay absolutely on fire right now, so proud of him.
Just signed with a big time talent agency there wm

(48:53):
E and Nashville. He's coming back to Birmingham to headline
and it's always a big deal. You know, when you're
coming back home, everybody come out to see you. Friday,
July the eighteenth. So you don't want to miss your
chance to see Miles Alive in concert one week from
tomorrow at Iron City in Birmingham. Get those tickets at
ticketmaster dot com. That's ticketmaster dot com for Miles Morgan. Okay,

(49:16):
so I'm a little bit torn on this next deal, Speedy.
I know this is more your area. Oh no, because
it's baseball. Okay, here we go, but come on, I
feel I don't. I'm torn. There's the hard nose side
of me that says, the rules are the rules. You
got to hold it together no matter what. But I
do understand sometimes your body's reaction to something that almost

(49:39):
is uncontrollable. Are you talking about the thunderclap? I'm talking
about the thunderclap in minor league baseball. We've got a
minor league pitcher that was called for a balk that
led to a run scoring. Hey, now, yeah, there was
a runner at third, got a runner at third, But
the picture was simply startled by a massive thunderclap during
his delivery and when he jumped off the mound to

(50:00):
you know, responding to the thunder the ump called a bakum.

Speaker 5 (50:03):
Yeah, and understand this was not when when we say
thunder clap, that's new level. You know, that's not like
thunder or Hey, it was a little rumble. This this
shook the stadium, okay, and everybody jumped, everybody paused, everybody
was like.

Speaker 3 (50:18):
And he was midkick in his delivery. Uh.

Speaker 5 (50:21):
It starts with the runner getting from second to third,
and then it leads into the thunder clap and the
pitch taking listen.

Speaker 17 (50:28):
Third with nobody out, one and one, the can of Pulley,
a huge crash of lightning as Cantre's kicked, and it's
a pump.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
There's so many things to look at in this.

Speaker 4 (50:42):
The batter, everybody jumped the batter.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
Nature gives Jacksonville a run.

Speaker 17 (50:47):
It's two to one, and Norfolk is arguing the call.

Speaker 3 (50:50):
But I don't know how you can argue that. Unfortunately,
it's it's unfortunate time.

Speaker 10 (50:56):
Now.

Speaker 5 (50:56):
Even the batter step went to step out of the
battle box. It freaked him out.

Speaker 3 (51:01):
So we're just going to keep playing. After that light
I think an act of God. I mean I think
we all go, hey, everybody out let me bring the
umpiring crew together.

Speaker 5 (51:09):
What do y'all think? I mean, everybody in here freaked out.
That's bad, you know, But here it is again. Watch
that now the batter Okay, I don't just focus on
the pitch. Everybody flinched.

Speaker 17 (51:19):
Everybody one and one that can a pulley A huge
crash of lightning as Cartre's kicked.

Speaker 3 (51:29):
And it's a pollow. The runners confused.

Speaker 6 (51:34):
Everybody jump, mother nature.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
But everybody's allowed to jump the pictures not alright, So
watch this. It's tough. Man go back again. Notice a
guy getting his kid up and walking out out of
the stadium after the thunderclap, like that's it. And we've
all been we've all had a thunderclap where we go? Okay,
that's it.

Speaker 6 (51:53):
I'm going in.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
Well, James span was he's what is he most afraid
of lightning? I'm surprised that them didn't stop it and
make everybody get on the face to worry about the ball.

Speaker 6 (52:01):
The battery even steps He's like, no, I'm out of here.
The batters like I'm out of here, man.

Speaker 17 (52:06):
What one and one that kind of pully A huge
crash of lightning as Catre's kicked.

Speaker 4 (52:16):
No, it's a ball.

Speaker 3 (52:18):
Let's get right here. We're out. I got a baby,
So everybody get the batte out of the ball.

Speaker 5 (52:25):
Did you notice the batter was was even walking towards
the dugout he thought it's about about to be a
twenty thirty minute delay.

Speaker 3 (52:30):
Yeah, he thought that's what he thought. That's what the
time out was.

Speaker 10 (52:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:34):
I think the bigger the bigger question is what you
guys are kind of alluding to. Was it a ball? Yes,
all right, so let's get that established. But the bigger
question is why didn't the ump stop the game because
of the light?

Speaker 18 (52:47):
Right?

Speaker 3 (52:48):
That's really the question. What if the guy emotioned then
on the ball got struck by lighting on the way home, right,
I mean, what does it take for them to I
don't know, a thunderclap, whether they I mean, I know that,
I'm pretty serious. Wherever there's thunder, there's light. I know that.
I don't know what the rules are on who's supposed
to call the game, but you kind of have to
do this, as unfair as it may seem. If the

(53:09):
game was not stopped, it is a ball.

Speaker 5 (53:11):
Yeah, no, if you go by the written rule, the
umpire I mean it is a ball. I mean, it
clearly is a ball. But I don't know that he
was trying to deceive the runner or have an advantage,
you know whatever, I think you have to go. Okay,
common sense rules today, everybody jumped. We need to pause
the game because of the lightning strike.

Speaker 3 (53:31):
Accordingly in the middle of my wind up in the
But the rule.

Speaker 5 (53:34):
Does say I mean it is a ball. I mean
we're not disputing that, it's just what should what should
have been done?

Speaker 3 (53:39):
And also, yeah, I do the do the umpires have
the authority to stop the game? Oh yeah?

Speaker 6 (53:46):
Can we watch it in slow mo and see how
bad everybody jumps because there's a child. There's a kid
in the stands who like grabs the railing.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
He's like.

Speaker 6 (53:57):
Everybody, like everybody for.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Even the announcer says, they're by jumps.

Speaker 10 (54:02):
I love.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
Should I shall let that be like that?

Speaker 10 (54:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (54:06):
Yeah, yeah? What are they the sh right? Here are
they the shrimping? Look?

Speaker 6 (54:11):
Everybody's likely that was it? That?

Speaker 3 (54:15):
By the way? That sound was it?

Speaker 7 (54:16):
Look that kid's grabbing the rail like do I need to?

Speaker 3 (54:19):
What do I need to? He's allowed to grab the rail.
Women are allowed to jump the whole team is allowed
to jump, but not the picture. Yeah, nobody else broke
a rule.

Speaker 6 (54:29):
So I noticed everybody. Nobody was running either don't run
in now.

Speaker 3 (54:32):
Well, don't run in thunderbolts. Right, you might want to
did the game continue? I liked to Sure it did.
It looked like they were continuing. I don't.

Speaker 5 (54:42):
I don't know the story if it was delayed at
some point or what. But yeah, that that's just that
was that that scared everybody. Uh and the fact he
was y'all, he was midkick. I'm talking about wind up.

Speaker 3 (54:55):
Here we go. Also another story today, speedy staying with
some of your top golf Harris English. We'll be playing
out on who that is. And next week's Open Championship
at royal Port Rush. Yeah, yeah, this is the you know,
we used to call it the British Open. It's just
now the Open Championship. Okay, don't don't have toalk down

(55:16):
to us. I'm just saying it's if I said British Open,
y'allud go. Oh yeah, well here's here's here's what interests.
The interest to me is his English caddy or his
caddy Eric Larson cannot be with him at what the former,
as I like to say, British open because he cannot

(55:39):
get his travel authority of visa for travel to the
UK because of a thirty year old cocaine charge that
he spent ten years in prison for. He was in
prison for ten years for cocaine. But it's it's a
regulation that now applies to Americans who are trying to
travel and this, this old cocaine charge has got him

(56:03):
so tied up in the United States he can't leave
to be there for the tournament. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (56:09):
There, I know this is crazy, but some people have
rules on travel into their country and he can't be
cleared for that visa that he needs.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
Rick to your point.

Speaker 5 (56:18):
Because of that, even though he's served his time and
it was thirty years ago.

Speaker 3 (56:24):
They still won't clear him. So English is gonna not
have his caddy with him. Get somebody else jump in
and carry his back. There you go by the way
they did, people said, I said, I said, are they
called the Shrimp this team that had the lightning or
the team playing that scored that that the team that
scored on the ball. It's the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. It's

(56:45):
the Marlins franchise. Triple A team.

Speaker 5 (56:47):
I know you love minor league teams and mascot and
you know, have you ever like really locked into coach
Gruden and everybody getting sending like him like lots. I
wish people would send us T shirts of minor league teams.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
You know, we had that going one time back in
the Rick and Bubba days and it was going pretty well.

Speaker 6 (57:10):
It looks like they're making having their makeup game to day,
so it looks like they did delay that game.

Speaker 3 (57:15):
All right, we'll be back.

Speaker 1 (57:17):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, only in America. Could

(57:46):
these four men do this for a living God bless America?
This is the Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (57:54):
Amen and amen, Thank you America. Now'd you sleep last night? Guys?
Everybody good? And I know Greg did. Let me see
how I slept. You know, I wear my water. Here
it goes speedy with this fit bit could have been better.
Let me borrow that so I know on my heelickside.
How many hours gonna sound? What what do you do
you get? Also a special text from Tim Cook saying, speedy,

(58:14):
try to do better then that song plays. Yeah, go
ahead and read it, by the way, everybody's saying after
hearing that on the email that that sounds like Jerald
Kate singing.

Speaker 14 (58:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (58:25):
And we you know we and we would sing that
a cappella on our own and now this guy's put
it to music, which is good. But Greg talking about sleep,
not all of us, like Speedy, know exactly how it went,
usually know that it was coming. Have you ever thought
about the fact that you didn't sleep well or you're
tossing and turning a lot? You know, could be because
the mattress that you're on it wasn't really designed for you.

(58:48):
It may not match your knee dreg You know what, Greg,
You're going to someplace there's a bunch of showroom, a
lot of beds laying around. You can't lay So let's
say we think these beds might be good for you.
They're kind of beds that are in general good, we
think for just about anybody. But with Helix Sleep dot
com slash big Vox, look at Greg they like a
little baby brother. Because of this Helix Sleep dot Com

(59:12):
slash big Vox mattress was designed for a little Gregory
and his wife leeleg because they told Helix how they sleep.
Sleep quiz took a few minutes. You know, it can't
be typic a hassle, Greg wouldn't do no so anyway.
Right now, the fourth of July, Cell is extended twenty
seven percent off. If you go to helix Sleep dot
Com slash big Vox take the sleep quiz very simple. Also,

(59:37):
you know they're going to know what sleep positions you prefer.
They're gonna want to know you know, you like a
soft mattress, you like a media mattress, you like a
firm mattress. That those are the things they take into account.
Are you large? Are you big or tall? They want
to know, Greg, Are you a big fellow? Are you
a big lady? I met Tammy had one of him
big ones and actually had to order a new one.
You know what, maybe they've probably adjusted a children's mattress.

(01:00:00):
They have those two. Go right now the helic sleep
dot Com slash big Vox. Follow this. They'll ship it
to you at twenty seven percent off and no shipping
and you have up to one hundred nights to be
sure you love it, and if you don't, there's the
full refund. You also can find that link at Rick
burgesshow dot com right there under sponsors.

Speaker 5 (01:00:19):
Okay, have you ever had this? And and I won't
stay on this loan. But like you see, today I
feel better than I did yesterday. But according to the
sleep chart, I actually slept better night before last than
last night.

Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
And that thing's just random?

Speaker 6 (01:00:34):
Is that not crazy?

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Can I prepare you for something like sleep rate, my wellness,
my my fuel rate, my respiration rate.

Speaker 6 (01:00:42):
That's how it works. Speedy Brick was about to set tell.

Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
You here's what's going to happen. Let me prepare you. Okay, yes,
I've had that happen, but it's a it's an illusion.
What's gonna you? You didn't get in enough really deep
sleep so you feel like you're fresh because you're not
having to wake up, But you're gonna burn and crash
this afternoon like you didn't do yesterday.

Speaker 6 (01:01:03):
You're gonna be miserable.

Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
And that watch, I mean, that's not gonna shirt. If
that's accurate. How do you know it's not gonna shirt.
You don't check, it's not gonna You don't believe anything
besides Deal Junior. But but there are things that are
that are pretty. But how do you know if Dell
Junior got one? Yes, if he endorsed it, my gracious,
I think he has one, but like, uh wow, my

(01:01:25):
my readiness score is better. What does that even mean?
My gosh, his readiness score, yeah, combined reading scores. The
low is the readiness score, is it? That's not what
That's not what they're talking about, Like it was great,
and and then like tonight it was last night, it

(01:01:47):
was okay. So when you walk in, you just joined
his sleep down is gonna get on it. I don't
even know what that means readiness. I'm not really either
ready or you're not, thank you, Greg. Matter of fact,
we asked have a better score. I asked the question
are you ready? But what I'm saying, do you judge
somebody's readiness?

Speaker 8 (01:02:04):
Read it?

Speaker 3 (01:02:05):
Ready for what?

Speaker 14 (01:02:05):
I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:02:07):
Ready for this?

Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
Are you going? You've got a big speech that day.
You gotta be ready, get ready?

Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Get ready?

Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
So you don't even know what The inspirations rate is.

Speaker 6 (01:02:16):
Either indicates how prepared your body is for physical activity
based on various factors like sleep.

Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
I know you don't work out anymore, so you don't
you don't have to do.

Speaker 6 (01:02:24):
Yeah, you don't even have to worry about that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
But how about the The respiration rate is the number
of times you breathe per minute during your sleep and
what's good and what's bad? All right, anyway, go ahead, Rick,
I'm sorry, look out baby, because I come. All I
can say is they got you, buddy, thank you, They
got they get you. You know, I have actually come,
like you know it, been stuck in some god forsaken airport,

(01:02:48):
got in and realized, Man, I'm not gonna get a
three hours sleep. I'm like two and a half and
I'm getting up, getting in the shower. I'm like, I
strangely feel good. I don't feel bad. But boy, come
two pm. Yeah, sledge hammer boom and the other day.
But the day before that, I had a little ramp
up more but I last I had a better, better
experience throughout the whole day because I had enough sleep.

(01:03:11):
I'm just telling you, what about your readiness score? I
don't even know what that means. Well, I'm just telling
you a few five full from uh you ready, you're ready?

Speaker 4 (01:03:22):
Get ready?

Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
Boom boom? All right, what about the dog?

Speaker 7 (01:03:27):
What about the dog? Hell them all?

Speaker 3 (01:03:31):
Come on, come on, everybody, come up with win on
coffee chain Lord, digging up a ball ye yep, yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
Ken Chase Flying.

Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
Country Dreams line stuck in a dial.

Speaker 3 (01:03:43):
All everybody's saying, it's every road.

Speaker 6 (01:03:46):
I take a loop to what a bouncing dog.

Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
All right looks like?

Speaker 10 (01:03:51):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
The American Kennel Club in trouble. Uh h, Peter, we
haven't heard from them in a while. It's been kind
of nice. So Peter backed off the tournaments. I'm not
so sure that I might not drift a little toward
PETA on this one's look. I'm anti Peta because they
get ridiculous. And there again, bass tournaments. They're protesting bass turnament.

(01:04:13):
They're also a scam, and they're playing on people who
really care about animals, and they're soaking you acting like
they care at a level they really don't. And that's
been proving time and time again. So they're really more
of a fundraiser than they are, you know, someone who's
the advocate for animals. But they're suing American Kennel Club

(01:04:36):
over standards for the French bulldogs and other breeds. Now,
I will say that I am on record of saying
some of this crossbreeding we're doing creating dogs that can't breathe,
This is probably not great. The peckingese, yeah, the English bulldog,
they snort the whole time. Yeah, the the miniature versions

(01:04:58):
of things. We got dogs in teacups. Now, See, this
is something I think God's not happy about. I don't
care what Peter thinks about it. I'm not sure God
loves it. But anyway, they're saying that these hyper popular
French bulldogs. Doesn't Gary have one of these? He's got too,
He does too. Yeah, Hey, you know, I mean they
good dogs. I'm gonna tell you this. And I don't

(01:05:20):
know about Gary's if they're pure bread or what. But
these things are expensive. You know, Gary's got folding money. Oh,
I know, but I didn't know if we want to
invest that much in a dog, but he might. Now
Gary's worried about dogs. Yeah, Gary tricks and not and
see going in that dog that rode with him everywhere.
I wouldn't just bring that up around him now. He's
very sensitive when it comes to his dogs. Yeah, if
you have very well, I like one of my dogs.

(01:05:43):
But yeah, I mean I get it. So anyway, I like.

Speaker 6 (01:05:46):
One of my dogs too.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Greg.

Speaker 6 (01:05:47):
See, by the way, I had to wake up Franklin
I fed the dogs last night. I had to wake
up Flyin thought he was dead. I mean he did
that dog could not move. I was like, hey, buddy,
food time. You're usually real excited and I'm walking towards
I'm real slow. I'm like, oh, please move, please move,
And then he moved.

Speaker 9 (01:06:02):
No, no, where are you?

Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
Did you want you to? Please? You said please don't move?
The word don't no, no, no, frank real talk.

Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
Franklin living has its problems. Franklin no longer living that
has its problems too.

Speaker 3 (01:06:22):
For a short period of time. But like trying to
find a weirdly long box with room for a big
old right, look.

Speaker 6 (01:06:32):
That's funny but incredibly insensitive.

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
Like something for a German shepherd head but really long
torso short leg. Yeah, like a guitar case, you know,
guitar case. Okay, this is the kind of right, This
is the kind of stuff that about.

Speaker 6 (01:06:53):
That's what they're protest.

Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
They're saying that some of these breeds on the physical
demands by the A key, A K C whatever that is,
is that they can't breathe. We're promoting unhealthy physical features.
And honestly, I've seen this. I actually I don't like
Peta at all, but this particular point I've actually made

(01:07:17):
it before myself. I don't understand breeding dogs that can't
we got and these tiny little things we're doing and
taking German shepherds and winny dogs. I mean that that
had to defy all kinds of standard physics. Yeah, the plug, the.

Speaker 6 (01:07:33):
Pug, My goodness is it struggle.

Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
They look at By the way, when did human beings
start wanting animals? Why? Why would why would the human
beings want animals that can't be the flatter the nose,
the better. Why why why? I don't want to I
don't want an animal struggling to breathe, like when it
has a clear airway. Yeah, yeah, and they kind of
nash the mind breathe good, well do they?

Speaker 7 (01:07:57):
You ever see bulldogs?

Speaker 6 (01:07:58):
It's like their face doesn't even make sense. It's their
tongue is like falling out of their mouth. It's like
at a weird angle and everything like so much like
they're coming hit by a car in the face or something.

Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
Like their tongue screaming for help. Yeah where where? Don't
keep me in here? Yes, Greg, I don't know you
bottle feed dog, so I know this stuff is hard
on a bottle. That eight of them. We'll be right
back ter.

Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
This is the rick Burdger's Show. This is what Trump

(01:08:50):
had in mind when he sought to make America greatly
gain the Rick Burger's Show.

Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
Here we go, America. Thank you for being with us,
having a blast as always, and we're glad you're here.
Unstreamed phone calls coming up later. That's always fun. Thank you,
tax nation. So that's funny, okay. So as we come back,

(01:09:21):
a couple of things will hit out of the world
of you know, the old state of the church today,
the old state of the church. When I say that,
we're talking about all over the world, but mainly the
Western church. Here's one. Here's one with the on the

(01:09:41):
Catholic side, Trump's immigration crackdown prompts California bishop to excuse
Catholics from Sunday mass. So a southern California bishop that
says a mouthful yeah, okay, issued a rare decree. I'm
not sure he has the authority to do that on Tuesday,

(01:10:03):
excusing churchgoers from attending Sunday mass amid fears of immigration
raids and the tensions across the country. So this is
in San Bernardino, California, no surprise there. So So this
Bishop Alberto arojas My name is Alberta Aroja, and so

(01:10:29):
he has announced his decree.

Speaker 19 (01:10:31):
I got.

Speaker 3 (01:10:33):
Deree hang on. So basically he's saying that he has
the right and I guess the authority to tell people
not coming to masses. Okay, now, because I don't want
you all to be afraid that Ice is going to
come and snatch you. So so there Ice is sitting
up at the church.

Speaker 20 (01:10:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:10:52):
Well, and let's not forget here. There's so many things
wrong with this. Okay. First of all, there is the misinterpretation.
And I've see some of these very liberal priest and
pastors and whatever you call the person who is the

(01:11:12):
lead shepherd of your church, whatever you know, name you
want to give it. But he you know this this
thing where the Bible says that we're supposed to entertain
aliens from for yeah, that those scriptures are about people
that are visiting your country. Those scriptures do not condone
illegal immigration or claim that we should all not have

(01:11:36):
a border that vets people out who might be dangerous. So,
first of all, you have people, you have people who
broke the law. Okay, But then let's go to the
other side of it. Here, here's a person in an
influential position leading you know, a congregation, leading a parish
who is basically telling people don't worry about coming to

(01:11:57):
worship because you should stay home and fear year. So
that's also saying, look worship. There were people throughout the
New Testament, and there are people all over the world
that are going to worship Christ out of obedience and
their very lives are in danger, and they still go Okay.

(01:12:18):
It's also a bad message about that. Yeah, and Governor
Knew some how dare you here? Rewrote on X people
now have to have to choose between their faith and
their freedom. Well, during COVID, you took our freedom away.
You shut down the churches. You said you can't even
have church, and so where was our freedom there? Yeah, Gavin,

(01:12:38):
the hypocrisy, isn't it funny all of a sudden Gavin
Knew him to your point, Speedy is suddenly he's all
about the freedom of religion and the freedom of worship.
He wasn't about that during COVID, even except his own
personal party. Don't forget he had gathered.

Speaker 6 (01:12:51):
Yeah, talking about the French laundry restaurant.

Speaker 3 (01:12:53):
Yeah, that's what. And then we get to I don't
even know what this is, but it doesn't surprise me.
I saw this and people commenting on this. I don't
know what's going on with some of these pastors or
whatever leading some of these megachurches and this we're becoming

(01:13:15):
apologist for scripture. We even have like people who are
putting that worship song saying, let's be careful not to
put too many theology in our worship songs because it
might turn people off. I mean, what any world are
we talking about? And some of these things that are
going on in some of these big churches now in
our country where it turns into some sort of I

(01:13:38):
don't even know what this is. I know there's some
of these megachurches that have what they call was it
Movie Night or whatever, where they do messages based on movies,
you know, and everybody gets popcorn all that. But we
never know where to stop.

Speaker 14 (01:13:53):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
I don't have any problem trying to use something to
get people in and then give them sound doctrine. However,
we can go too far with this and it just
becomes silly and so irreverent that it's it's it's like
I just can't have you seen this guy. It's it's
some pastor. Let's say it's called North something.

Speaker 6 (01:14:16):
Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, Illinois.

Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
He's doing Super Mario Brothers as his theme to his message,
and he's going they're gonna play the Mario thing on
the big screen and he's gonna shoot up through one
of these tubes like he's Mario, your pastor. Okay, watch this.

Speaker 6 (01:14:36):
So it's gonna the video is gonna start. He's gonna
be he's gonna start out playing Mario and then you're
gonna hear him be pulled into the Mario game.

Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
That's your pastor. Why do they call you super Mario.
There's nothing super about you talking to the screen. Go
and now he's in the game. He's in the game.

Speaker 6 (01:15:04):
Now, now they've animated into the game.

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
Okay, now he's going down. Now you're in the church. No,
that's your pastor coming out with something else. Oh my goodness,
good to see you all.

Speaker 6 (01:15:18):
Glad you could be here for at the movies.

Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
I'm glad I got out of the game.

Speaker 6 (01:15:21):
And let me tell you something. It is loud underneath
the stage.

Speaker 3 (01:15:25):
You thought it's loud out there for worship, It's loud
underneath there, all right. I don't think I can get
out of this one. So give me one second. Now,
think about all the money that it took for this
kind of technology and everything that they had to do. Okay,
now that the camera's going, Okay, now it comes up
on the other side.

Speaker 10 (01:15:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Now he's coming out of the team in a Mario
haunt and a Mario T shirt to do the message
on super Mario Brothers. Guys, all right, we're in that shirt.
If you're wondering why, goodness, if your wonder grandson were loved, yeah, sure,
if that was children's church, that was vacation Bible scooter, sure,
but even I think need to be careful with even

(01:16:01):
some of that. But so you wonder why themanchurch dot
com needs to exist? Can you imagine being a grown
man at that service? Can you imagine being a heterosexual
grown man at that service? Do you feel like this
is a place where you really feel like a man?

Speaker 21 (01:16:22):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
You, I'm gonna be challenged by this super Mario message.
And the pastor's dressed like Mario. How absurd?

Speaker 6 (01:16:29):
There's nothing super about you? Is it gonna go like
you know who is super God? That's super?

Speaker 8 (01:16:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:16:36):
Yeah, y'all. He went on to say that as I
watched this movie, I'm not joking. I just listened to
this quick clip. He said that the Mario Brothers reminded
me about what the Bible says about brotherly love. No,
he didn't just said it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
I just heard. I want to know that maybe my
pastor might have taken his grandkids to see this movie.
I don't really want to follow a guy that this
is a movie he went to watch and they're gonna
do a message on it as a grown man.

Speaker 1 (01:17:01):

always a lot of fun, so we will definitely give
you your shot to come in here rapid fire as
we go, one right after another. Uh, this is continue.
This story has now come up the third time on
this show. The third time it's come up as if

(01:18:21):
this is some big build of building. I don't get it.
I don't understand it. I don't follow the third time.
What is all this hype that McDonald's is bringing the
snack snap rap back. I know we've already talked about this,
but here yet is another story. People loved it. It's
like there's been this countdown, like it was the countdown
to you know, space X is about to send somebody

(01:18:44):
to Mars and we want to keep updating you on this.
Was it that popular the first time? The update is now, Greg,
how about this? The McDonald's fan favorite snack wrap returns
this week? I think officially today i've been count fan favorite.
You remember the time that they they booted the Fritter,
you booted it and it was a good fritter. Boy
always was a good I'm just let me tell you,

(01:19:06):
well your pride Greg's fritter from his coach. And then
they bring this back. I've never eaten one of these.
They may, I may like it. I don't snack rap.
I mean, I got no problem with the snack ramp.
I do not anticipating this return. I just can't believe
we've built this up like this is the tap down
to can the can the McDonald's snack rap cure cancer?
I mean, I don't. It's like they took the big

(01:19:28):
back away and they were bringing it back. You know
that store was based on the Big Mac. So so
here we go. It was discontinued nationwide about nine years ago.
Nobody cared and will it will stage it's comeback. I
just don't see people. Here's what I see. I'm in
the drive through. I'm at McDonald's. I got my kids
and my grandkids in the car. Okay, I got it.

(01:19:51):
Everybody wants McDonald's, got no problem. McDonald's. Had great times
with my kids at McDonald's. Anticipate I'll probably have a
good time with my grandkids. You know, if if my
kids will ever give me any Okay, So but this
is how I would see it going. This is about
the level of my enthusiasm for the snack wrap. I
need to do a little better, all right, guys, Yes, okay, yeah,

(01:20:14):
well I'll get everybody happy. That sounds good. Oh, I
guess snack wrap. I don't uh if y'all got that
snack wrap and like real chicken as we do, you
know the snack wrap is back. Yeah, just settle down
like Greg, he's up, Francis, it's a snack rap. Okay.
The company and the exact quote here is that had

(01:20:34):
a cult following, a cult following, bringing it back, bringing
it back. I never met anybody in that cult. And
what I'm saying to.

Speaker 6 (01:20:43):
It occasionally, but I mean it was it was fine,
but you went to.

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
It, and you go to it the way I just
talked about. Yeah, that looks like maybe a better choice.
They're not bad. Yeah, I'm not saying there even Yeah,
I don't mind them. But but the fanfare around this
I don't understand. I said, you would have thought it
comes with a mccrispy strip strips and shredded lettuce cheese.

(01:21:07):
Can I get it grilled? I don't think so, yes,
you can. I don't think so. Well, you were you
Ronald McDonald. Now I'm just saying I don't think this
is the macrib. Can you get it? I don't know.
I don't know though. Rick. By the way, we didn't
do the story yet this week, but we had the
story somebody stole the Ronald McDonald. Oh it's so seous
doing that. Yeah, little great picture. You go out there

(01:21:30):
and you you come over to like wherever we're living
at the trailer and you've got Ronald McDonald and they're
hanging out.

Speaker 7 (01:21:36):
With us and sitting on the couch.

Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
Speak to it every time you come in with that
put a cold one in his hand.

Speaker 6 (01:21:41):
Oh yeah, yeah, you know at least.

Speaker 3 (01:21:46):
But I'm not saying people should look. I'm not saying
people should do that. Please please look.

Speaker 5 (01:21:51):
And they have the ranch snack wrap and the spicy
snack rap, but I don't see it as I'm going
with the spice.

Speaker 6 (01:21:57):
And they're bringing in a limited time spicy egg MCM
which I might check that out.

Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
Looks like that looks like everybody say they do have
a grilling. Okay. Looks like the comedy is trying.

Speaker 6 (01:22:08):
To boost sales because and by emphasizing lower cost items,
Well imagine that that's that sounds good to me and
a lot of people.

Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
Don't you agree, though, Adler, Speedy Greg see fast food.
This is where I remember the first time that Jerry
Seinfeld made the comment that now the theaters are asking
us to clean up after ourselves. He said, whoa in
the wait a minute, that's not the deal. We made
y'all overcharge us at the concession stand at an alarming rate.
And he goes and then when I finish, you know,

(01:22:39):
the ten dollars popcorn I just had, I released the canister,
it hits the ground and I leave that. That was
our deal. That was our well, fast food. Our deal
with fast food is, look, we don't hold y'all to
the highest standard because you're good inexpensive food that we
can get on the run. Once fast food became expensive food,
now everybody's like, well that look, I'm not I'm not

(01:22:59):
gonna you know, hit the bank account for this. One
of the reasons I came to you I was you'll
were cheap. So if you're not going to be inexpensive,
I'm not sure you're worth it. Yeah, I mean for
that kind of money, I'll get something better. Do you
remember the chicken sandwich wars that started and people were
like wrapped around the corner and all that.

Speaker 5 (01:23:18):
Well, Popeyes apparently they're calling it the wrap wars because
now Popeyees came out and said they're going to offer
free chicken wraps this week, okay for the rap wars,
and that when McDonald's is bringing back the snack wrap
now July tenth through thirteenth, the restaurant is offering up
five dollars minimum purchase.

Speaker 3 (01:23:37):
You get a rap Oh they said, they said the
pasture that we just saw in Illinois, that was Mario said.
Next week he's actually going to come out of an
oven dress as a snack wrap. Welcome back.

Speaker 20 (01:23:53):
No, I.

Speaker 3 (01:23:55):
Don't understand.

Speaker 5 (01:23:56):
Now, we had people that the lines would go around
the drive through out into trash sheep to get to
get a chicken.

Speaker 3 (01:24:02):
Sad marketing people people, Hey, we better hurry and we
can be running out. I want you to know that
every piece of merchandise we have in our store there's
only a limited supply and they're going to be gone soon.
There's a documentary that's the kind of people just go,
oh my gosh, I guess I gotta have it. Yeah,
there's a documentary on the Beanie Baby. Yeah, I want
to see that documentary. Yeah, okay, Yeah, we're speaking of documentaries.

(01:24:25):
I saw a good one. Have you seen the one
on Shack and Allen iverson buying Reebok have the Reebok
is back and their president and vice president uh, and
you know they were they just no, this is real.
This is they were the first two big sports stars
to endorse rebod coming out and into the NBA and
and uh and so then Adidas bought Reebok and then

(01:24:49):
they just were able to buy it back from Adidas
and they're relaunching the brand and everything and and and
the documentaries on Netflix and it it kind of shows
them going into Rebok for the first big me and
them trying to get endorsers to follow them and then
trying to rebrand Rebok and bring it back. It's good man.

Speaker 6 (01:25:07):
You remember the shacknosis, rebox sneakers. I wanted some of
these so bad.

Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
And you remember the pump. Like I said, pump was
like a zebra.

Speaker 7 (01:25:16):
All the pumps were the.

Speaker 6 (01:25:18):
Yeah, if you have if you had the pumps and
you had a trampoline, you were you were set, you
might as well be a bazillionaire.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
I mean, you were as cool as it. Yeah. So
Reebok is now back because of them, Yeah yeah, pretty much.
They they well Adidas.

Speaker 5 (01:25:34):
Whenever Adidas Boss bought Rebok, they did away with the
Reebok basketball shoe. They kind of just let it fade out,
and Reebok was a solid two behind Nike. And then
when in two thousand and seven when Adidas bought Rebok
and they just kind of did away with rebox basketball shoes,
the just fell off. And now they're trying to bring
it back, and they're also trying to to to kind

(01:25:55):
of get into other sports, like Bryson d.

Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
Chambeau is now wearing and knows. I'm just saying, he
got what you want to know?

Speaker 4 (01:26:04):
You want to know do?

Speaker 3 (01:26:05):
I got to know a little better Angel Reese. She
she is ah the w n b A you love
that too.

Speaker 5 (01:26:13):
She's she's a Rebok endorser and and Shaq says she'll
kick you with her. He knows her real well and
mentors her something. I'm like, well that's so much.

Speaker 3 (01:26:21):
Should do some jobs so much, says she kicked the
strength and conditioning coach works guy.

Speaker 5 (01:26:25):
But seeing y'all, Shack is so big, y'all when he's
around other people.

Speaker 3 (01:26:29):
It's like normal sized people. It's weird. It's so weird.
It's a giant. But he's hilarious. Oh he is. He's fun.

Maggie. How many times do people sing the song? Maggie?
Do you how many.

Speaker 7 (01:29:33):
More than I could count?

Speaker 6 (01:29:34):
If I had a dollar for everyone, I'd be gazillionaire.

Speaker 10 (01:29:52):
A few years ago, you used to live in Pennsylvania
and I was sleeping one night and.

Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
A thunderclap was so loud.

Speaker 6 (01:29:57):
I thought we were under our artillery, uh warfare.

Speaker 14 (01:30:00):
I was trying to get us that.

Speaker 10 (01:30:00):
I was trying to get my daughter, my mom, the animals, everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
In the car.

Speaker 6 (01:30:04):
I realized it was just thunder.

Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
It was that act. Well, it's that umady been around
here to charge you with the ball boll Yeah that's crazy. Now,
thunderclapping that you have a reaction different, uncontrollable. You know
what it did? It made wake up Maggie. There it
is see there, I know, wake up, Maggie. I hear
a thunderclapping outside the door. He was just wait. Well,

(01:30:26):
I know I didn't think. I wasn't going to. I

to the Rick Burgers Show. Unscreen phone calls. Go ahead,
morning fellas.

Speaker 8 (01:30:37):
This is Flip.

Speaker 3 (01:30:38):
Y'all, All right, clipster watch it now.

Speaker 8 (01:30:42):
Hey, I just sent you a text I helped raise
the young man who is the McDonald's snack rap guy.
His name is Donovan. There's Sean Rise.

Speaker 3 (01:30:56):
What do you mean, what do you mean snack rap guy?
What does that even mean? Something like a snack This guy.

Speaker 8 (01:31:01):
Right here he brought the McDonald's snack rap snap rap.

Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
Wow, that's a whole different product. That's not the promotion.
But you're talking about some fan fare bringing them a snack.

Speaker 5 (01:31:17):
Rap guy who brought the the snack rap back to McDonald's,
is what he's saying.

Speaker 3 (01:31:23):
So their campaign is this is a snack wrap guy
and he brings Okay, and Philip knows him. Wait wait
a minute, raised him and we lost Flip. But does
he mean this is just a guy pretending to be
the snack snack he started the cult? Is he is
he the start of the campaign?

Speaker 20 (01:31:38):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (01:31:38):
Is that what I've been bringing it back? Because I
got to be honest with you, inventing it wasn't that
big a deal. Anybody could have invented it. Y'all want
to put a tortilla, right, and I put some letters
in it. You know it sounds good. The angle, their
their advertising. He's going to be the he's going to
be the person.

Speaker 11 (01:31:53):
No, no, no.

Speaker 6 (01:31:53):
His TikTok helped bring back the McDonald's. Okay, you want
a news package it No, no, okay, I do not.

Speaker 3 (01:32:02):
That's cool though, Yeah, we did a great job. Yes
he did. Flip. That's a way to raise a person.

Speaker 9 (01:32:06):
That was that on.

Speaker 3 (01:32:07):
TikTok made people start eating snack raps again, well done
what they see Flip, that's a whole quiet Rick birders
show unscreen phone calls go ahead.

Speaker 10 (01:32:24):
I just wanted to confirm I would grow past McDonald's
in Rainsville. And the rumor is true.

Speaker 14 (01:32:30):
The rap is back. Don't know if I'll try one,
because there are some better than a snack wrap.

Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
Thank you, you're welcome. I just don't get this. Nothing
wrong with it. It's it's it's an unassuming food item.
It just doesn't seem like it's some champion. No, you know,
we continue Rick Birder's show, unscreen phone calls, Go ahead.

Speaker 8 (01:32:54):
Hey, good mar this trunk.

Speaker 3 (01:32:56):

Do you want me to tell you?

Speaker 3 (01:33:09):
Hello? You cut out of it? Said in you cut
out mister who.

Speaker 8 (01:33:13):
Mister mister Deane's from the power company?

Speaker 3 (01:33:16):
Okay, boy where he's got to get better? Because I
knew he was dangerous by his Yeah, I want to
talk y'all. When when those come in, you're ready. They're dangerous,
you know? And so uh yeah, yes he did. Uh
We continue Rick Birders Show, unscreen phone calls, Go ahead.

Speaker 14 (01:33:39):
Yeah, y'all are talking about one reason. Y'all like to
go to fast food restaurants because it used to be cheap,
and it's not cheap anymore. So how about it's not
fast food anymore?

Speaker 3 (01:33:48):
True?

Speaker 14 (01:33:49):
I mean, I can't go to a drive through, get
in line, and by the time they hand me my food,
it's more than ten minutes every single time they make.

Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
You pull up. Look, and if you don't go to
Chick fil A, you don't know what you're in store for.
I mean, you could be there a while. Yep, you
could be. And again they're gonna make you pull up.
Could you pull up? Bring it out?

Speaker 14 (01:34:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:34:08):
And also let's not hire anybody that looks annoyed by customers. Yeah,
like they're mad that you showed up to order them.
That's the face of your business. Probably have somebody that's
we continue Rick Burgess Show, unscreen phone calls, go ahead, Hey.

Speaker 1 (01:34:24):
You guys are talking about McDonald's and I love McDonald's,
I really do.

Speaker 22 (01:34:28):
But Wendy's Breakfast that's where it's at.

Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
I don't know if you guys have had it. I
have it. Not a lot of we're usually here, you know, obviously,
and people have not really brought that and it's not
open when we're coming in. So now I never have
done it on a Saturday have I.

Speaker 5 (01:34:42):
Will say this, You've read a lot of Wendy's copy
before for commercials and it sounds delicious.

Speaker 14 (01:34:48):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (01:34:49):
Rick Burgess Show, unscreen phone calls, Go ahead about that.

Speaker 23 (01:34:53):
Yes, sir, I just wanted to let you know you
couldn't steal Ronald McDonald anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:34:58):
Couldn't steal him anymore? Why not because he hasn't been
part of McDonald's for a long time now. Yeah, but
there's a lot of McDonald's that still have him in there.
I've seen him sitting on the bench kind of Frey
did a fundraise. It's always been a few years. And
now I see a picture you in a cot and
tie and yeah, that's right. Is that guy makes of that?

(01:35:18):
The same Ronald had that PBC pipe that time on
the television A year on the road. Today, McDonald you
gotta let us up today, you gotta stayn you gotta
let us up. You remember that? Oh I remember it
sometimes when I'm having a rough day, I'll think of it.

(01:35:39):
We wouldn't stop, We wouldn't stop. Oh yeah, then Wendy's
breakfast potatoes. We'll be back hanging there.

Speaker 1 (01:35:52):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. They are the uncles
your parents warned you about the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
Thanks for being with us today, America. If you miss
yesterday's Wednesday Bible Study Job twenty one, that archive now available.
Episode seven coming up this weekend of Strange Encounters, a
brand new episode this weekend. Okay, so this is this
is becoming seems to be more prominent. Have you know

(01:36:39):
I haven't played golf or anything like that. But it
is is people are people fighting on the golf courses.
This seemed to be getting out more frequent. It seems
like there is more of a dent am I just saying,
I would think any skilled activity that allows you to
drink alcohol, why you participate, is going to lead to fighting.

Speaker 5 (01:36:56):
Yeah, but you know that's always been around, right. I
don't know what the change is. I think it's a
lot like just society in general. People don't know how
to add And there used to be a sense of
golf etiquette on the course where people knew, hey, don't
hit into people, even if it's you know, slow play,
Let's be cordial, let somebody go through. If you don't

(01:37:16):
have everybody in front of you, and you hold people up.
But then if you're in a group and there's a
group in front of you and there's nowhere for them
to go, it's pretty common sense that hey, today's just
gonna be slow, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:37:27):
And and now but now it seems like, you know,
there's just no etiquette anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:37:31):
And now people are getting hippy and you know, smarten
off each other, and it leads to fights. Like you're saying, really, well,
they're saying this one unfortunately, because you never know who
you're gonna encounter, right, Okay, you never know who you're
gonna encounter.

Speaker 3 (01:37:45):
Unfortunately for one of the fellows here on this particular
golf course disagreement. Former in the h L enforcer Nick Tarnaski,
And you see one he was an enforcer in the
n h L. A little ragdaw slam into the pond,

(01:38:06):
right they call him. Ay, the guy fights a lot
of careful who you pick with. Yeah, that's kind of
my point. I was like, you never know who you're
going to run up on that.

Speaker 6 (01:38:18):
He was an enforcer, like you guys said, in the
n h L for five seasons, played for three different teams.
And this guy in the Hawaiian shirt doesn't know that
he's talking to an n h L, a guy basically
that fought professionally, like literally, and he's gonna do the
hockey jersey grab at one point on him and you
can tell the guy has just done it before. So
Hawaiian shirt is hammered with his buddy in the white

(01:38:41):
Hawaii Hawaiian shirt, as is his buddy in the two tights.

Speaker 3 (01:38:47):
Yeah, there's a lot of you're doing a good job.

Speaker 6 (01:38:51):
Let's let's go, let's go. Hey, so so drunk Hawaiian guy.
Look how long he's trying to put his ball I
guess on the t and he can't even do it.

Speaker 3 (01:39:00):
This is ridiculous.

Speaker 7 (01:39:01):
Yeah, so you can tell he's been a problem.

Speaker 3 (01:39:03):
And it looks like there's clubs laying on the tea
box all over the place. What's going on? Really, they're
holding he's mainly holding up play because he's too drunk
to his club.

Speaker 6 (01:39:13):
And now drunk uh Hawaiian shirt guy is gonna say, oh,
you want me to hurry up? You're gonna cry about it.
They're they're at ALERTA. You're gonna cry.

Speaker 3 (01:39:20):
About it, he says, Canadian, you gonna cry?

Speaker 6 (01:39:22):
What?

Speaker 3 (01:39:23):
Now we're taking our shades off? Now, yes about Now
here comes a glove.

Speaker 6 (01:39:29):
He's kept his golf glove on your skin, on your
knuckles a little bit that he lands zero punches. He
is going to rush this former NHL player.

Speaker 3 (01:39:42):
Let's go, come on. Then he's talking so much smack
shirts smiling because he knows what's He rushes him and he.

Speaker 6 (01:39:49):
Gets thrown all he gets thrown into the pond. He
gets thrown He is in the pond.

Speaker 3 (01:39:54):
Yeah, he sure is.

Speaker 6 (01:39:56):
He is in the pond and you can see the
water ripple from where the guy got.

Speaker 3 (01:40:00):
Now he's coming out.

Speaker 6 (01:40:03):
He's like, you want to go again? And so now
he's he does.

Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
He Why would you pick on a man that big?
This guy is huge. Enforcer is so big. You get
the heck out of the way now, and it looks
like there's anybody in front of us. He's coming back from.

Speaker 6 (01:40:24):
Again and he's so he's throwing him around like a child.

Speaker 2 (01:40:30):
Fun.

Speaker 3 (01:40:30):
Now, yes, I am enjoying this, and that's the end
of Adler.

Speaker 5 (01:40:34):
You did a good job of explaining that even it's
just a this guy is so lit man, even sober,
he would have no chance. Didn't know the Enforcer was
that big.

Speaker 3 (01:40:44):
He was a big man. If y'all have not seen
this ship, I beg you to go look at it.
It just just turned the volume down down because we
couldn't play any of it. But this idiot is so
drunk and he's holding up play and you can't like
you'll say, get his ball on the tee. And instead
of him apologizing, hey, I've had two months to drink.

(01:41:06):
I need to he's been drinking that courage, and he
just starts screaming at this giant man who was an
enforcer in the NHL, and that big man just, first
of all, he throws him in the pond.

Speaker 6 (01:41:19):
That should have been number one. If you get thrown
in a pond, you lost the fight. You're out.

Speaker 3 (01:41:23):
And like you said, he threw him in a pine
like he was a child. Yes, And then he comes
up out of the pond and wants more. And the enforcer,
who knows how to grab your jersey and punch you
in the face, did that several times, and the guy
just kept coming back till finally he just threw him again.
How far It looks like he tossed him almost like

(01:41:43):
he was shot putting you.

Speaker 5 (01:41:44):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And if you listen to this, which
again it's just got a lot of language in it.
Whenever the enforcer is hitting him, he's going boom.

Speaker 6 (01:41:53):
I mean, he's making like eight actually says the word bang,
bang bang every time he gets the guy in the face.
He says the word He's like another one bang? What
another one bang? He's saying bang while hitting the man
in the face. That's a whole new level of getting owned.

Speaker 5 (01:42:09):
And I also like that in the enforcers force them.
Here there's a couple of guys. They hadn't even gotten
out of the golf cart. They're just enjoying it. They're
just watching all, you know, because they know what's coming.

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
You see how far he went. I thought the guy
was on ice.

Speaker 10 (01:42:25):
He so far.

Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
Listen, there's one moment where we get to look face
to face at the guy who can beat up as
he's in the air, airflying exactly to watch this moment
right here where you get a look at it for
just a minute when he throws him down this last time,
this keep getting up. Like you said, Speedy, I don't
think he can win this fight. Sober you could watch watch.

Speaker 6 (01:42:47):
He is airborne. He is air he's laying on a couch.

Speaker 7 (01:42:52):
Yes, he is airborn, y'all.

Speaker 3 (01:42:55):
Yeah. The only fine, only golf course I've seen better
was Bob Barker and Happy Gilmour.

Speaker 6 (01:43:00):
Yes, it's about as one sided.

Speaker 3 (01:43:06):
Oh, Greg, you gotta you gotta make you watch that.
In a break, I'm going to let me tell you.
You come across the wrong man. And he took that
man in the in the Hawaiian shirt and he tossed him.
I mean like he's just trying to get rid of
a bag of trash or something, and watched the video
of itself. You know what, I think, golf course I need.

Speaker 5 (01:43:29):
I think golf courses need to hire enforcers, like if
somebody's being a jerk or hold things up all of
a sudden, like a little I don't know, Uh, the
earth opens up on the tea box and then a
forcer comes standing up and he just whoops everybody's butt
and then goes away.

Speaker 6 (01:43:46):
I've heard. Okay, so we've seen it feels like we're
seeing more golf fights. And people are talking about how
the game is getting more and more popular. And you
got people that are new to the game and they're
not they can't handle their booze and they don't know
that a kid of the game you talked about hitting
into other people, you know, and all that.

Speaker 5 (01:44:03):
And slow play, I mean, if if you if you
are just if you're just having a good time and
you just want to go play golf, but you're extremely
slow and there's just and there's nobody in front of you,
and you're holding up the whole golf course. Just let
somebody play through and you move on.

Speaker 6 (01:44:19):
Nothing wrong with that.

Speaker 3 (01:44:20):
But if somebody comes up to you because of that,
and then you have a you have a smart alic response,
and then that's what happened. Well, you also don't forget
at the at the root of this again, this is
another public service announcement about getting drunk. Yes, what this
idiot gets you beat those way in over his head.
He can't handle his alcohol. And and he's he's acting

(01:44:40):
like an idiot. Uh, he's it's not just a normal
We we're new to the game. And let us play through.
I got to defend what I'm doing. I gotta talk
a bunch of smack and and and and and it
cost him. He got beat up real bad. He had
no chance against this giant man. And but Greg, like
you said back in back in the day, here's what
would happened if we had lived in this time. Okay,

(01:45:02):
my friends would gather me together. They would have snacks,
they would have that it all set up, and I
would have to sit down and then play it for me,
and they would go play by play like we just did.
Make me watch it and give me such a hard
time right here, I don't know what you're thinking. The
biggest reaction would come from when he throws you physically
and you're flying horizontal to the ground like a rocket. Yeah, yeah,

(01:45:26):
that's it. Scrown men. He picked up and through that.
That guy wasn't huge.

Speaker 5 (01:45:30):
There was the last time the Wilburn boys and we
had a Wilburn foursome of golf and.

Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
People on the interstate, I can imagine.

Speaker 5 (01:45:38):
And we had nowhere to go. I mean, in other words,
the whole course was backed up. It was just a
slow day. It was pretty everybody was out, and this
group behind us just kept hitting into us and there
was nowhere. It's not like, hey, you can't see him.
I mean they were We obviously didn't care. They didn't care,
and and uh, my boys started getting the golf balls
and throwing them into the woods and and then we'd
turn around and watch them come to the like and

(01:46:00):
they were looking being the fairway going.

Speaker 3 (01:46:01):
I thought it went right here. I don't know where
it went. And that, my boy, they had chunked it
the water, the woods. They constantly kept hitting into us.

Speaker 6 (01:46:08):
Can we hear the guy say bang? Really quick? I
found out, Yeah, there's no cussing. I don't think, all right,
he's gonna call his shots by punching the dude in
his face while saying bang.

Speaker 3 (01:46:21):
Funny.

Speaker 6 (01:46:23):
I've never seen anybody call their shots.

Speaker 3 (01:46:24):
In a yeah, A big fist too.

Speaker 6 (01:46:30):
If the guy is missing teeth and he doesn't seem
to care, don't fight with him.

Speaker 3 (01:46:35):
Yeah, so good the drum cat that coming. I'm sorry
he should have stayed in the pond.

Speaker 1 (01:46:46):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, simply outworking the competition,
The Rick Burdish Show.

Speaker 3 (01:47:09):
All right, America, cranking out another one today. Uh, we'll
get to more of your phone calls before the day
is over as we work through the stories of the day.
Thank you for being with us on this edition of
The Rick Burgess Show. The gang all here today, Speedy,
Greg and Adler and we just it's people are saying
we need the guy. So today we've already got the

(01:47:30):
doing a little bit better. We need to put into
the inst replay and I'll tell you al that little
that little piece clip you found, the little bang bang
to the face. People say that that needs to go
into the instory plays bang bang. Can you just imagine Greg,
all of us say that happened to Idler on golf?

Speaker 6 (01:47:48):
Yeah, why is it going to be me?

Speaker 3 (01:47:51):
I would just.

Speaker 7 (01:47:54):
I don't even golf.

Speaker 6 (01:47:55):
Y'all are golf more than I have. Rick and Greg
have golf more than I have. Yes that you get
him on the ground though, you got him? Oh yeah,
so your naked choke him?

Speaker 3 (01:48:04):
No, it's uh, you know it's it's you know you
there's there's no worse feeling than drinking that courage and
get bad after he doesn't watch that video? Yeah yeah, yeah,
you know you had that good night look at that
moment and I've had some too when you watch video
and you're like, oh boy, do you think he watched
it himself getting thrown around? He may never drink again.

(01:48:26):
I love how big and bad he was before it happened, right, yeah,
So is is it one of those things like I
don't know his situation Hawaiian shirt guy? Does he does
he wake up with like his friends sitting around the
bed going do you recall what happened? I mean, does

(01:48:47):
he get one of those hey did you get it
over your head? Little bit?

Speaker 10 (01:48:51):
Like Rick?

Speaker 5 (01:48:52):
Like he comes out in the den, he's got like
a black eyes, all beat up and he's like, what happened?

Speaker 3 (01:48:56):
So awful? And you know what, you don't remember what
you love to be a person saying you, I recall
that you'd had a little too much drink on the course.
I did. Well, let me tell you what you did.
We were playing a little slow because you couldn't get
the ball on the tea because you were hammered, and
you decided to trash talk a former n h L enforcer,
and he grabbed your shirt like a jersey and beat

(01:49:17):
you to a pulp and threw you in the pond. Okay,
and then out of the mank You know the last
throw that where he was airborn and it looked like
he was sleeping in his bed, but he was airborn.
Even after that throat being drunk, he knew that's it.
He even went to his car. Yeah, watch him right here.
So he gets still in, he's still in, and he's thrown.

(01:49:40):
He's still in and.

Speaker 9 (01:49:44):
All right.

Speaker 5 (01:49:44):
So after this watching me gets up, he doesn't even
try to come back for more. He's like, okay, this
I'm out.

Speaker 3 (01:49:53):
About. Say I'm good, I'm good. Wait a minute, he
still talked, just a little bit of my pants are
almost down because it hits the ground and the pants one's.

Speaker 4 (01:50:03):
Got pulled off.

Speaker 3 (01:50:04):
Okay, I don't play golf and add or plays even
less than Gregg and me. He's made clear what happens here?
Do they leave? They better? I mean is that it's
soaking wet.

Speaker 5 (01:50:15):
I'll tell you that there's two clubs on the tea box,
and there's a ball that's not on the tee but
sitting beside the tee.

Speaker 3 (01:50:22):
Because he couldn't get on there. He just put do
you leave them? Do you go get them? So that
his friend looks like he's had a little to drink too,
He's not exactly what The friend doesn't look overly steady.
So we have we have this guy with the enforcer.
We have this guy, this guy and there's another one here.

Speaker 6 (01:50:44):
They don't seem concerned at all?

Speaker 3 (01:50:46):
Are they with the enforcer? All of them? Yeah? If
you notice, Purple Shirt has been grinning the entire he's
having He's had time of his life. He doesn't know
he's having the time of his life.

Speaker 6 (01:50:54):
This guy does not know who he's dealing with.

Speaker 20 (01:50:56):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:50:56):
I remember that it was a brief run where I
got to actually hang out with Steve ko Yosh and
Gary Bradshaw, and I've never been so happy.

Speaker 5 (01:51:03):
But normally, if you've got a couple of guys against one.
Your buddies normally are going to get out and like
have a little bit of present. They don't even really move.

Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
They're like there is no concern at all for them. Well,
what do you what do you got the enforcer with you?
What are you worried about? The purple shirt has been
grinning the whole time I've been watching him. I will
go as far as to say, these friends of the enforcers,
they've seen this before. This, this is not the first time.
This is happy. They're gonna somebody's messing with enforcer again.

Speaker 6 (01:51:35):
You know, I was reading about this guy's NHO career.
In his five seasons, he played for three different teams.

Speaker 7 (01:51:42):
Like I mentioned, his.

Speaker 6 (01:51:44):
Playing time is almost equal to his penalty time. The
guy literally was there to literally fight. Yes, can we
hear him say bang one more time?

Speaker 3 (01:51:54):
We can't get another? That is that the friend? Come on, man,
come on, man, come on man. Well he threw him
down there, his head slammed on the ground. Real good. Yeah,
I kind of wish that was you. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:52:11):
Second, can you imagine what the dude's thoughts were when
he He's like, oh no, this guy's punching me. But
you're also thinking, oh no, he's saying bang wile.

Speaker 3 (01:52:21):
That's the worst when a guy is doing his own
comic strip sound effects. I mean, that's what you got problems.

Speaker 6 (01:52:28):
It's like a Batman old school Batman shows.

Speaker 3 (01:52:32):
It's like the time I never tied up with Diamond
Dallas page right. That was that was That was a prank.
That was ugly. Wow. Luckily existence humor. Wow, what a headlock.
He's got a picture. I don't even have a master
page of it. Oh, this is great technology today is incredible. Wow.

Speaker 6 (01:52:54):
So so yeah, that's you never know.

Speaker 5 (01:52:57):
I saw something in traffic. You know, you hear all
about these, you know, road rage fights and stuff.

Speaker 6 (01:53:03):
Back to this.

Speaker 3 (01:53:04):
You never know who you're dealing with. You gotta be careful,
you know. And uh, it was.

Speaker 5 (01:53:09):
It was a three lane and we had a left
lane going extremely slow, A bunch of traffic backed up
middle lane doing his own little thing, and far right
lane was ahead of middle lane. So somebody got out
of line in traffic on the left side and went
all the way over to the right because they're panicking
now and they're going to try to cut off middle
lane and get out in front of left lane. Well,

(01:53:31):
middle lane speeds up. Well, the guy comes over anyway,
I'm talking about door to door. I thought there's about
to be a major crash. For about two miles they
went at it. I mean I backed off. I thought
we're about to see a bunch of dust and a
bad way and a lot of I mean you could
tell there were yeah, there was, there was arms coming

(01:53:52):
out the windows and everything.

Speaker 3 (01:53:53):
But you never know what somebody's going to do.

Speaker 5 (01:53:55):
And I understand close to where the studio is on
the Interstate yesterday there was a gunfight. I mean there
was a road rage. The interstate was shut down. Yeah,
there was two people that pulled out guns because of this.

Speaker 6 (01:54:07):
Yeah, it was at four point thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:54:09):
Yes, they shot at each other.

Speaker 6 (01:54:10):
I sixty five and Alabasters.

Speaker 3 (01:54:12):
Oh I saw that on the way home.

Speaker 6 (01:54:13):
Yeah, they pulled over and they were both shot in
their lower extremities taken to the hospital.

Speaker 5 (01:54:18):
You just don't know who you're dealing with, what they're carrying,
or anything. Now what I saw wasn't this, but I
just that was later that say, the same day.

Speaker 3 (01:54:24):
But I thought we're about to have a problem. Do
you think somebody said the guy probably waits up in
the next one. So what was my score? Yeah? Right,
you know what? You remember another example I got're running
out of time now, oh Marty, Oh yeah for that story,
you're going show him a thing or two?

Speaker 2 (01:54:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:54:40):
It was Rich Wingo has a great story about like
I'll just say it was a guy named Marty who
went on to a very illustrious NFL career, probably when
the meanest humans on the planet. Uh And he decided
that he would have words with an assistant coach at Maama,
who unfortunately was a boxing champion in the Marines. Uh

(01:55:00):
And and the guy said, all right, Marty, I'll take
you in here with you, just you and me in here,
We'll go one on one and I'll show you a
thing or two. Of course, Marty thought he would take
the old man and his teammates will work looking through
a little peep hole because they didn't want you to
buy us buddy, looked through because we all couldn't see it.
At the same time, he goes, how's it going, He goes.

Speaker 19 (01:55:20):
Oh, Marty, old man guy and that old marine whipped
him like I mean, like he was an ugly dog.

Speaker 6 (01:55:33):
O Marty, Oh Marty, this is.

Speaker 1 (01:55:37):
The Rick Burgess shows John, it's time for the ricks.

Speaker 6 (01:56:00):
And we're broadcasting from the real world.

Speaker 3 (01:56:04):
Let's go America, a brand new hour. Thanks for being here.
As you heard, the gang is all here and we're
thankful that you are here today. And we'll get the
more your phone calls coming up. Don't forget the website
Rick Burgessshow dot com for everything you could possibly ever
need to know. So, got a couple of emails, but

(01:56:27):
I think we can get one more in this hour,
So here we go, showing out a question to us,
Hey Verd from the email, heyburd Hay Verge. If every
wants yours to be considered to be part of the segment,
put in the subject line hey Burge, Hey Burge, and

(01:56:48):
if you want us to take on the question here
on the program or read your email, it will be considered.

Speaker 12 (01:56:55):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:56:55):
If you don't want it on, let me know. If
you want to be anonymous, that's a waste of your
time because I never notice that and say your name anyway.
But anyway, so here we go, Hey bird, Hey bird,
this comes from Kelly. I'd like to know also the
audience can chime in as well. Ever heard of a
late life fear of heights? I'm fifty five. All my

(01:57:17):
life now, listen to this. All my life, I loved
high places. I was airborne in the army. Bungee jumped,
by the way, I remember when bungee jumped. Horrible. I
bungee jumped over a soybean field. Yeah, not a good move.
It's like some group just set it up. Yeah. I
didn't look very out in the middle of the field

(01:57:37):
and we just went out and did it. Yeah, it
was smart. That was wasn't that good? Young and dumb
changed light bubs on radio towers in the nineties. She
said she did that, by the way, I changed a
couple of the house of other day double imin she
or a helu. She's saying a tower like a tower,
not not on a ladder in the kitchen. Oh okay, anyway, anyway,
it may be it's Kelly. So I don't know if

(01:57:58):
that's a guy or a girl. I don't know, so
a guy. This sounds like you don't think that women
could be airborne in the army, bungee jump and changed
light bubs on radio towers. Let's be honest. Probably not.
I'm saying I'm not saying they can't, but I'm just saying,
probably saying there's probably more of the other one. I'm
talking about all that you might do one of those.
So maybe this Kelly is a dude. But then then

(01:58:19):
there comes this. This is what threw me a little
bit too. About ten years ago, I suddenly developed a
crippling fear of heights, kind of like your wife Sherry did.
I can't even think about high places without getting the shakes.
The roller coaster video terrified me the other day, twenty
years ago. I had been the first one on that
roller coaster. We showed a roller coaster. I like that, said,

(01:58:40):
this is just weird, So I think it may be
a premonition that I'm going to die from falling. Now
I will far what do y'all think? Love the show,
never miss an hour, Keep up, keep it up, boss man.
This is the way that he or she Wait a minute,
I think it's a dude, because this is that thing

(01:59:01):
where they use somebody else's email. But again there's a
lot of the going off email. Go find how they
sign it. Well, I didn't know what that this was
actually a name. I thought he was doing something to
give you a hard time, because the last thing he
says is hotty Toddy, Rebel Rob Rob called the show
sports show. Okay, so this is where this is a guy,

(01:59:21):
it's rebel Rob.

Speaker 6 (01:59:22):
Okay, Rebel Rob sounds like a dude quick call troubles.

Speaker 3 (01:59:27):
Somebody's going to ask him who Keilly is? Yeah, I
don't know. That's only why Gosh, I don't understand when
you email this show. Just know it's dangerous. That's all
I can tell you. Good, you know what I have
noticed this. Like I say, you mentioned my wife Sherry,
My wife was never terrified of heights like she is
now completely I'm talking about unreasonably afraid of it. I

(01:59:49):
hate to admit this. I obviously wasn't scared the heights
because I used to have a job where we climbed
a lot of stuff. But I want to claim my
gutters out the other day and reached up to the
second four with real long ladder. God, I didn't like it.
What I could have kept like it, could have kept.

Speaker 11 (02:00:05):
That all that.

Speaker 3 (02:00:07):
You didn't like it? I didn't like it. I went
ahead and got it done. Did you have to did
you have to mentally not go to frozen fear? Yeah,
not frozen, But I just didn't. I didn't like it.
I didn't mean that ladder, I know, with something with
something inside of me saying let's get down off this ladder.
Kind of all right, but I don't know hell being
in here all these years done running get out of
that car. Yeah, okay, sweetie, you said that you have

(02:00:33):
you know, I'm like Greg issues after the Russian jets. No,
I didn't think the water tower any in there and
it fell off, and the water tower and the hot
air balloons that you do any of that again, I
don't think I would morbid fear or just don't think
it's a good idea.

Speaker 5 (02:00:47):
I think I think as as you get older, you've
become a little bit wiser and you're like, well that
wasn't real smart. You know, climbing the water tower is
probably not that good of an idea. Jumping out of
a very uh an airplane at sky diving, I know
people do that all the time, but just looking back
at him, like, I don't know that I would.

Speaker 3 (02:01:06):
You know, y'all would put me up in hot air
balloons all the time. And I went mountain climbing, I
went skydiving. I actually went two point three segments with
a bull name food.

Speaker 6 (02:01:16):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (02:01:16):
And this is weird about me.

Speaker 5 (02:01:18):
I don't have a problem with heights as far as
looking at There's some people that can't even go way
on up in like a skyscraper and look out the
window or anything like that. But you get me on
the edge of something, I do kind of freak out
a little bit, you know, like I don't like the
edges of anything.

Speaker 3 (02:01:32):
We used to climb horse Block tower. It was oh
here we gost to tower on top of Chee Hall Mountain,
and not at night. And then the steps were rotted,
so you had to put your feet on the outside
edge where the metal was he and when you get
all the way up in the tower, the floor was
gone and you had to stand on the beams. And
we did it all. Would you ever knew that I
wouldn't do that, No way, non consider it. You know

(02:01:53):
what mine? Mine is MRI. I can't get them anymore claustrophobic, boogeyman.
You can't get in there. Close your eyes. How about
I never had a problem with an m R. I.
I hadn't had a lot of them, but I never
had a problem with closed spaces. And the last time
I went in an m R I I was like, hey, everything,
Gimmy was saying, I gotta get out of here. I'd

(02:02:14):
never had that experience before. And what about the cave crawl?
You remember that? That made me panic watching your face.
I didn't know I was claustrophobic until I got that
thing where you are. Was that just a bad deal? Well,
I was going you had to go like head first
in the weight limit. I was in the size I
was pushing it. You know, I really shouldn't have been
in there than yeah, yeah, but it was through so

(02:02:37):
I saw face. Yeah, one part I saw you panic face.

Speaker 6 (02:02:42):
We were so trapped. It was like being several Like
you know how buildings have studs and walls. We were
several layers deep. It was there like you couldn't just
break out of one like all I'm free. We were.
We were several layers of hard wood, maze tight, cramped deep.

Speaker 3 (02:02:59):
I gotta tell you, you had to go head first
down and then back under. If it wasn't for you,
I don't know he would have gotten out. I would
to still be there. He talked you out.

Speaker 4 (02:03:13):
Yeah, you froze up.

Speaker 3 (02:03:14):
He had to talk to you.

Speaker 7 (02:03:16):
I rescued you.

Speaker 3 (02:03:18):
You said, Greg, one inches one inch of the time.
Come to me, to my voice, Greg.

Speaker 6 (02:03:23):
Greg, I'm your David Hasselhoff. Run to you on the beach,
rescuing you, speaking of the beach, Speaking of the beach man,
I'm a real man.

Speaker 3 (02:03:31):
Come to me, speaking of the beach.

Speaker 6 (02:03:32):
I gotta say, I am more afraid now of getting
in deep water in the ocean than I was when
I was a kid, So no doubt. I don't know.
I used to swim way out there, way out there
there anymore, fifty whatever. And I think I watched too
many of these documentaries where the great white shark is
running up like a bus.

Speaker 3 (02:03:51):
Shark numbers, our shark numbers are in all time high.
They're completely out of control. It's not worth it.

Speaker 6 (02:03:57):
I had a bad experience with a rip tide one time.

Speaker 3 (02:03:59):
To say, you got the rip tide, you have to
worry about if you get out and stand in the
puddle on the beach, you're gonna get bacteria. I mean everything,
everything's trying to get you. That's stacked and you can't
stand and stacking the water.

Speaker 6 (02:04:10):
And we got the screw worm coming.

Speaker 3 (02:04:12):
I don't know about that. I don't know about that.
Rather than not screw worm. Okay, look we heard it.
That's my nickname for April fifteenth.

Speaker 7 (02:04:19):
Okay, right, it's coming from Mexico.

Speaker 6 (02:04:26):
I never heard it's coming for the cattle and monsters inside. Yes,
it's very very much monsters inside of me. Type scenario.

Speaker 3 (02:04:33):
Gregis Creeper Jackson still with us or going on? Yes,
he's still just because she had seen somebody. I was
just gonna he passed with Greg Rick about every three months.
He's gonna think you're dead. Yeah, that's true. I'm just
telling you. At my age, that's an option. Now it
is still I'm doing good. Listen, but I'm saying I
owe me two days and I be back to I'm

(02:04:54):
just saying, I hope we didn't hear you say you're
afraid of last. Say it's afraid of last. I said,
I just wasn't as comfortable as I used to do.
And you get on the roof and it's slanted. Oh sorry, father,
I love it, I mean I got it die. I
didn't love it. I mean I ain't afraid of the ladders.
I'm not getting an MRI again. You won't go up
the ladder. Heads day was lately holding the ladder at

(02:05:16):
the bottom No, you didn't have a supurity. Yeah, I
guess I mean to get us.

Speaker 1 (02:05:27):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He doesn't have OCD.
He just likes things to be a certain way, Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (02:05:51):
It is the Rick Burgess Show. Hello America, thanks for
being with us today.

Speaker 19 (02:05:58):
Dude.

Speaker 3 (02:05:58):
All right, so a couple of thank you speeding say
thanks to you. Now, here's my text, Hey, Rick, this
is Martin from the Wednesday Bible Study. You know my
work keeps me on the road a lot. I'm not dead.
I just want to let you know. That's smart. Okay,
just check in with old birds and let him know.
Some guy named all right, you know, some guy named

(02:06:19):
Brian Harris on the textas Rick, I haven't gone on end,
just having text in a while. See thanks Bud by
the way on the note where do you go? Right here?
So the last Heyburg's letter, here's here's text Nation. I
used to go under houses and cross spaces to insulate
them that that's what he did for a living. He said,
I went in really tight spaces, hard to move, no

(02:06:40):
problem at all. But at fifty one now I can't
get past the cross space door, tight spaces and spiders
Now cringe me. So I guess something doesn't call it.
Is there some sort of trauma that happens?

Speaker 2 (02:06:51):
Why?

Speaker 8 (02:06:52):
Why?

Speaker 3 (02:06:52):
Why are these things changed?

Speaker 14 (02:06:54):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:06:54):
But what but he said it? At one time it
was nothing like I'm talking. We're not talking about something
you've always had a problem with. But somebody, when you
get older, you now you now can't you don't like
things that you at one time didn't even think question living.
So you know, he went under a lot of house.

Speaker 5 (02:07:07):
Maybe I'm off base here, but like when you played
a little ball, you know, when you were younger, you
would just play, and then as you got older, you
started looking thinking about getting hurt, and you were worried
about you know, you started looking at how many people
are rolling into ankles and and you know you're in
a big pile, and you started worrying about you know,
you were more concerned about getting hurt late in the

(02:07:28):
in your career.

Speaker 3 (02:07:28):
Yeah, but you know, but there was something.

Speaker 5 (02:07:30):
You get older, or you've done something for a while,
late in that career, you start worrying about what you've
always done.

Speaker 3 (02:07:37):
See, I don't know is that it. I don't know
that I've ever mentioned this before. Here we go, but
I played a little ball. I don't know if we've
ever gone into that, but yeah, football football, uh, you know,
not not important. I don't want to get into that.

Speaker 15 (02:07:51):
Now.

Speaker 3 (02:07:52):
You see my jersey if you take one exit one
eighty eight on twenty. But so anyway, but see, but
again it was tied to something that happened. So when
on a serious note, somewhat if you can on the show.
But so I had played all the way till my
senior year in high school and never really had an injury.

Speaker 14 (02:08:15):
I was hurt.

Speaker 3 (02:08:16):
I mean, if you play that sport, you're gonna be hurt,
you know, Greg broken fingers, jammed fingers, stingers in your shoulder.
I mean that's just part of it. Of course in
those days, concussions and then you still continued to play.
And as long as you can answer most of the
questions and you're right, boy, then I give you a chance.
There was no concussion protocol of any kind. And if
you got a concussion of a game, and even if

(02:08:37):
it was bad enough for you to have to come
out of the game, you played again next week and
practice money. But anyway, so that kind of stuff. But
then after to your point, but there was a traumatide
to it after I was injured and I broke my
foot and it got caught up under a pile, and
all that I do remember when I went back to

(02:08:57):
play course in those days, it was just the rest
of the game or next week. I remember this taking place,
what you just said, because I played in the interior lines,
so down there it's just basically animals. It's just a
bunch of animals fighting for the line of scrimmage. And
I had never ever worried about piles. I'd never thought
about it. But after that, I remember being out there,

(02:09:20):
I'm standing now for those of you there listening, and
all of a sudden, like a pile would almost hit me, like, oh,
I almost hit me, you know, And before you knew it,
I was like, well, there's a lot of bodies flying around,
there's a lot of people falling, there's a lot of piles,
and I'd never really noticed it before. So but that
was tied to something that happened, though it just happening
without something like that, seems do you think it's no

(02:09:41):
more complicated that when we're young and we're just we're
too stupid to know how dangerous life really is, and
we don't think we're ever going to die. We don't
even remember what we think about getting hurt. We don't
think about, you know, anything happening. And then as you
get older, you start realizing you've seen enough people die,

(02:10:02):
you see a lot of people get hurt. And is
that you think some of that plays into it? Did
you start to realize how dangerous the world really is?
And I'm not saying we're supposed to live in a
spirit of fear or be anxious. I'm not talking about that,
because that that that's a lack of faith in God.
But I'm just talking about just the hell a tight
space might get me trapped. Now I might fall off

(02:10:22):
this cliff. You know, this latter feels a little rickety.
And plus I'm not as confident with balance anymore like
you were when you were younger. You know, you pretty
much could get yourself out of any situation you thought.
Do you think that's some of it? I think did
it just come with age? Used to climb? Why would
I go into deep water? If if why would I

(02:10:43):
even take a chance a shark taking me? And when
you're young, you're like a sharks don't get me.

Speaker 6 (02:10:48):
Plus I think I think you run the risk reward.

Speaker 7 (02:10:52):
You're wiser about that as well.

Speaker 6 (02:10:53):
You're like, all right, if I go way deep out
in the ocean, the risk is maybe possibly getting swept
out just.

Speaker 7 (02:11:00):
See, or shark attack or whatever.

Speaker 3 (02:11:02):
The bard is.

Speaker 6 (02:11:04):
I got to swim way out in the ocean, and
I got to swim way out back. So maybe that's
not worth it.

Speaker 3 (02:11:09):
And also what could I want to go further on that?

Speaker 7 (02:11:11):
Some been there, done that, did some bend there done that.
I've already done that. Yeah, I don't need to do
that again, right.

Speaker 3 (02:11:16):
It's not worth it. Yes, I wonder right now if
there's any way in any of us. Now I knew,
we grew up a lot different than today's little you know,
Caudle generation, no offense. But but what I'm saying, would
any of us get on a spider bike right now
and jump around and see if we can get over now?
I don't know. Tell me how old you were the
first time you saw a bike helmet that went with

(02:11:38):
a bicycle.

Speaker 6 (02:11:38):
I was like thirty, I was fourteen, fourteen years old.

Speaker 3 (02:11:42):
I was like, well they got helmets on bicycles? Why
pe rine bicycle helmets on? Yeah? We never had a helmet.
We never we didn't have a seat belt, we didn't
have anything. I think we were raised in a society
that didn't seem to be afraid, maybe unhealthy and not
afraid of anything. Right, and now you think to yourself,
right now you're on a spider by you went over
and built some ramp. We would just build them and

(02:12:03):
just see what would happen. Yeah, you remember getting to
the top of the hill and you say anything with
wheels and see if we can write it down anything. Oh, yeah,
you climb a tree? That would you climb to the
top of a tree? Right all the way back to what?
Back to what that le says? For what reason? If
you want of your grandkids wanted to g climbed to
the top of a pine tree right to learn? Yeah,
at least I know I wouldn't let do it. Or

(02:12:24):
like right now, you if I had a bowl and
just a bunch of popcorn, would you dig your hand off?
I ain't sharing snacks with people running old hands off?
But you used to, Yeah all the time. That was
in bars and you didn't care.

Speaker 5 (02:12:36):
Speaking of bars, you know, I when I was clubs bar,
you know, I mean there was times I didn't really
see what was going on there.

Speaker 3 (02:12:43):
It's a different kind of different dangers. Those are different dangers.
We're not even talking about that. And then one day,
then one day I walked in, I saw everything, and
I know it was time to give it. Well, that
was called the Holy spirit, right, that conviction that was
called once I was blurry. Now I can see that
was that.

Speaker 7 (02:13:03):
That's I cauld see so good, smells bad.

Speaker 4 (02:13:09):
I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (02:13:09):
Wait a minute, she's not attractive at all. Well, and
that you know, I mean, well, no one is here.
Everybody here is pretty old. It's kind of dark in here.
Wait a minute, I think that bourbon's drinking him. I
don't think he's drinking it, all right, No, you're right.
It's an awakening. And the smoke thing. Yeah, like we
said back when everybody smoked little kids, you go in buildings.

(02:13:30):
I didn't even notice it. But if somebody came in
here and litt a cigarette up, I'd have to leave.
Oh yeah, the way we well, the way we grew
up with people smoking and everywhere you went smoking. If
secondhand smoke is a real thing, I would already be dead. Yeah,
that's a good point. I've been exposed to so much
secondhand smoke when no one even thought anything about it. Look,
there were so many people smoking in the clubs that

(02:13:50):
we played. We didn't even need a fog machine. We
had smoke on the stage. When we were kids and
our mom took us to the doctor to see the pediatrician.
Everybody in the waiting room with smoke. Everybody on the airplane,
everybody on airplane smoked. Everybody in the car you roll
with smoke, Everybody in their own house smoke. And we're
we're a little kids playing with mashbox cars and everybody's

(02:14:11):
smoking all around the Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:14:12):
Do you remember cars had the little ashtrays, little p
down ashtrays everywhere They're like, oh, that's handy you in
the back.

Speaker 3 (02:14:18):
Do you remember when a hosting food pall was I'm
so sorry I didn't put the ashtrays out. Yes, we
used to make them. We used to make ashtrays and
give them to our Paris for gift.

Speaker 1 (02:14:27):
Is the Rick Burgess show Strange and Coutlters, the new
podcast from Rick Clurches. Get it no wherever you get podcasts, you.

Speaker 3 (02:14:43):
Know, we got a brand new Strange Encounters. We're actually
recording today. Uh. It is author Dana Free. She has
written the book What Every Christian Should Know About Spiritual Warfare.
Uh So this new podcast takes that on, tries to
edge on a spiritual supernatural battle that is going on

(02:15:05):
all around us and trying to be sure that you know,
we're educated and prepared for that. We'll take another step
with that with episode seven coming out this weekend. Do
you want to point you to relief factor dot com?
Speaking of the aging process? This is this is how
this was discovered. We had doctors and scientists that were saying, look,

(02:15:25):
getting older ain't for sissies, and so that the aches
and pains of life. Can we develop something that could
help with the aging process. And they discovered all natural botanicals,
four of them that we had all kinds of research
on that they've seen to help the body's inflammatory response
in a natural way. So what if you put them
all together kind of like the avengers of inflammation. They're natural,

(02:15:49):
so you can take them every day. Now, it's not
going to mask pain, that's the reason why we do
a three week supply, but it is going to try
to get to the foundation of the aches and the pains,
and if it's tied to inflammation, it will actually eradicate
it naturally. Over the counter stuff it has a role,
but those are not designed to be used, Like there's
some sort of vitamin that actually can have bad side

(02:16:11):
effects if they're overused. And I don't even want to
talk about opioids. How many more lives have to be
destroyed by these things. But maybe there is an all
natural solution to your aches and pains. Get your life
back naturally for nineteen ninety five, you get the three
week starter pack, and if it's like me and many others,
the majority of us, it's going to make a huge difference.

(02:16:31):
Now again, it's not going to happen overnight, and if
inflammation's the problem, this could be the natural answer. Hurting backneck, joints,
muscles Relief Factor dot com or go to Rick Burgess
Show dot com. Look there under the sponsors button. Paul
Simon's daughter furious with Richard Gear, mad at him. And
I know that a lot of you who Richard Gear.

(02:16:53):
Paul Simon's daughter. Paul Simon's daughter, Paul Simon's daughter hate
singer says I hate Richard, hates him, hates him lied
to me. Does anybody know why? I know a lot
of you been laying away last night, probably worried about this.
So Simon's daughter and Richard Gear again, that's right? And
why is Paul Simon not weighing in on this? Is
he not caring? Apparently his daughter's taking the lead on this.

(02:17:16):
Paul Simon's still life. I think he is, buddy, good night,
there you go. What do you let me guess? You
hadn't heard his music? And about the year, I haven't
understood canceled a couple of days. Here's what happened. Paul
Simon's daughter, Lulu Uh. She said that Richard Gear bought
the property of her childhood home, and Richard Gear made

(02:17:38):
a promise to her that he would never sell her
childhood home, promising he would take care of the land
as a condition of the purchase, and then proceeded to
never actually move in, just sold it off to a
developer as nine separate plots lied to me Richard Gear,

(02:18:00):
I mean, pinky promises don't work in the real world.
Quote Lulu says, I hate him, man, You know, now,
hadn't Richard Gere just left the country and he going
to live somewhere that too. Yeah, he's an anti Trump
anti trump I. According to the outlet, he purchased the
new Cannon or Canaan, Connecticut property from Paul Simon and

(02:18:22):
his wife, oh Adie brookeil remember that, that's right. He
is married.

Speaker 4 (02:18:26):
What he is?

Speaker 10 (02:18:28):
What he is?

Speaker 14 (02:18:29):
What do you what?

Speaker 3 (02:18:30):
Yeah? So pretty good? Did she ever do another song?

Speaker 14 (02:18:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:18:34):
But anyway, so bought it in twenty twenty two, divided
up in nine plots Soda for ten point eight million.

Speaker 4 (02:18:42):
Why to me?

Speaker 3 (02:18:43):
Mad about it? Upset?

Speaker 20 (02:18:45):
You know?

Speaker 3 (02:18:45):
When she was telling him all that and he was going, yeah, yeah,
I'll never I'll take care of your childhood home. He
was thinking the whole time. Yeah, the whole time. So
there he was like, yeah, sure, unless I need the money,
Yeah she should, that's on her.

Speaker 7 (02:18:57):
Unless it's a really good deal.

Speaker 3 (02:18:59):
Yeah, get it right there you go?

Speaker 6 (02:19:02):
Is this he even?

Speaker 7 (02:19:02):
Okay? He has done some movies recently.

Speaker 6 (02:19:06):
What talking recently? I haven't heard from him recently. And gentlemen, yeah,
see that's probably what nineteen sixty one.

Speaker 3 (02:19:16):
It was in the eighties and nineties, okay.

Speaker 6 (02:19:18):
Yeah, he had that big run Runaway Bride ninety nine
and then everything before that.

Speaker 3 (02:19:23):
What's it?

Speaker 14 (02:19:25):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (02:19:25):
The agency or the eight or whatever he's in now.
Pretty was the one from Paramount plus Original Primal Fear.
Did I say that? Oh yeah, that's a good movie.
Yeah yeah, it's Pretty Woman coming back and they like
they're going to reboot it, Like, how can you do
an update on this? All right? I don't. Yeah, you

(02:19:45):
remember like when you were younger and that movie was
popular and you didn't fully understand American right, yeah, yeah,
that's not yeah, never mind. Yeah, see there's no official
Pretty Woman too movie in production. Pretty Woman there is
isn't okay, so maybe that was some sort of meme
that somebody was having fun with. You can't trust anything's
being real anymore. So anyway, Lulu says she's mad, she's

(02:20:07):
never gonna get over it, so well she may have
something to live with it. Also, Greg Adder, let's look
at let's look at number ten here on our video
list today and audio, Greg, I know you won't always
want an update on Todd Christy. It's a fresh out
of jail chrisly knows best. He is now going to
be talking. He's going to talk about his first interactions

(02:20:28):
in jail. Can we play this? I don't know about this?

Speaker 14 (02:20:31):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (02:20:31):
I mean it should we play the word about that.

Speaker 6 (02:20:33):
Yeah, it's fine, it's not it's clean.

Speaker 3 (02:20:36):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (02:20:36):
It is funny to.

Speaker 3 (02:20:37):
Hear he's all hard now, he claimed. You know, I'm
out of prison.

Speaker 6 (02:20:43):
You know it's wanting to hear Todd Christy talk about
his time in the clink.

Speaker 3 (02:20:47):
Yeah, Todd Christy, I don't think it's ever gonna seem
like a tough guy to me. But here we go,
all right, And I was in prison. Prison was not
in me.

Speaker 11 (02:20:54):
I get to my room and I have all this
stuff laying on my bed, the shaving kit, tennis, she hughes,
and new sweats and stuff. And I'm like, I had
read that you're you're don't be taking nothing for free
because you've got to give something up. And I'm too
old be fighting all these people off. And so I
started looking at it. I'm like, well, someone's already here.
And they said, now that show where is Jig will
be able to see in a little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:21:14):
I said who. They said, Jig, and I said what
is that and he said that's his name. I said
his name is Jig and he said yeah. I said okay.

Speaker 6 (02:21:24):
So I just still moved it.

Speaker 3 (02:21:25):
And put it in a chair. Yeah, I'm not taking that, yeah,
because I mean, you can't have me for a honeybun.
I mean that you just can't.

Speaker 6 (02:21:33):
All of a sudden, this guy.

Speaker 11 (02:21:34):
Comes walking and he's about five feet tall, muscles everywhere,
and he goes, you got your stuff? And I said,
you must be Jig. He said one and only word
had been sent to me. He said, to make sure
you had everything that you needed. So, well, I can
pay you for this. He said, no, you can't. He says,
because I'm to look out for you. And I said, well,
I can take care of myself. He said, I don't
have no doubt, but I still got to do what

(02:21:55):
I gotta do. So from that point forward, Jig and
I became like best buddy.

Speaker 3 (02:22:03):
Understand where he's at. The guy he really got a
fight with was the guy who was doing like tuition
fraud and all that. Right, he's not exactly that Rikers Island,
but him and were does anybody does anybody? Does anybody
believe anybody that Jig, even though it's watt collar that
Jig looked at Todd Christley and said, oh, I have

(02:22:25):
no doubt you can take care of you exactly. Anybody
believe that I wasn't having incredible doubt.

Speaker 4 (02:22:32):
You need Jig.

Speaker 3 (02:22:33):
Okay, I'm gonna take care of you. He ain't nobody's
honey bun Okay, I didn't know how I was in there. Yeah,
did you pick that aler?

Speaker 6 (02:22:42):
Yes?

Speaker 14 (02:22:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:22:43):
I had to hear the story of Jig, and I
wanted you to hear it too, buddy.

Speaker 10 (02:22:46):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (02:22:47):
It changed me as a man, and I wanted you
to be changed. It worked.

Speaker 3 (02:22:50):
It worked. Know Todd's talking smack about his prison day, Greg,
he throws in there, he makes up the line Grid
you know this, You've got a meter about this self.
No one but leaves that Jig said to Todd When
he says, well, now I can take care of myself,
he goes, I knew that. Yeah, when you say it
like that, I ain't no doubt in that. No what
I what I would have? Man, you know what Jig
probably said. I find that surprising. Yeah, you know not.

(02:23:14):
I had no doubt, no doubt. Oh really, so you're tough.
That's surprising you look at Jig wouldn't have muscled up either,
is he that way? He said?

Speaker 6 (02:23:23):
Muscles all over him, said, muscles everywhere.

Speaker 7 (02:23:26):
And by the way, it's Toby.

Speaker 6 (02:23:30):
It's the same voice.

Speaker 21 (02:23:31):
No, it's not.

Speaker 6 (02:23:32):
It's close. That was okay, a little more breath. Make
a great point.

Speaker 7 (02:23:38):
They're close though.

Speaker 3 (02:23:39):
Their cousin Toby had muscles all over him, you know that,
that kind of that. I'm so sorry, Hoby. No, but
Chris l's more. He had muscles all over it.

Speaker 6 (02:23:50):
Here, let's listen one more time. Yeah, here's christ real quick.

Speaker 3 (02:23:53):
Okay. And I was in prison. Prison was not in me?
I was in prison.

Speaker 14 (02:23:56):
What was that?

Speaker 3 (02:23:57):
Prison in prison wasn't in me?

Speaker 10 (02:23:59):
I was in prison.

Speaker 3 (02:24:00):
It's different, some kind of psycho babbles. Yeah, he said that.
Try to be sure. They said, hey, let's do the jig,
And like I say it, he went out there on
the yard pumping iron tattoos.

Speaker 6 (02:24:13):
Yeah, hold on, I got three more, making toilet whiskey
or whatever.

Speaker 3 (02:24:19):
When we come back, we go to the people, speaking
of jumping around.

Speaker 6 (02:24:24):
I think he became Jig's honeybuck. I mean it sounds like.

mean He's Todd. JONES i mean he is mister Pel
city and friend of the, show and we walk, around
you walk around In detroit with. Him, hey it's a different.

Speaker 3 (02:36:29):
Thing he, is he's the. Man it's a different. THING i,
mean it's funny in that kind of funny. Though, well
that's the. Thing AND i, know like the fact that
we even you, know have been on z Z k
And birmingham for you, know for many years of The
rick And Bubby, show and of course now on with
their same. Place and you know In birmingham we go,
around we grip and grin and we do. Things but

(02:36:50):
it's a different thing, because like you, know with these
professional athletes wherever they, live when it's where you, live people.
GO i enjoy the. SHOW i love all. This but
by the, WAY i go to church with any member
of the show or Multiple, hey he coached my little league.
Team my son played on his son's. Team, HEY i

(02:37:10):
see him at the grocery. Store it's a little, different
but now when when The wing goes and The Todd,
jones you go to where they played their professional. Sport,
yeah and they don't live there. Anymore it's, yeah it's
a bigger it's a bigger. Deal and sometimes the funniest
thing that ever happened talking about us with the show
is WHEN i had someone ask me WHAT i was
doing In. Birmingham that was. Hilarious oh. REALLY i was

(02:37:33):
out at a restaurant and this person, goes what are
you doing? HERE i, Said i'm, sorry what do you
mean the? Restaurant, no what are you doing In? Birmingham
and AND i was, like this is WHERE i. Live,
oh and they listened to another market and they and
they were, like, OKAY i didn't know that. YOU i
didn't know you lived. Here and and they thought they
actually thought we lived In.

right over the hill right, here right it WAS i
thought you guys were In.

Speaker 3 (02:38:21):
Teleport, yeah that that. Place we're, right and let me tell.
You let me tell you another one on that that was.
Hilarious and this was over in was it The, Rome georgia,
AREA i, Think SO i. WAS i was going to
speak over, there uh to at a church that's doing

(02:38:42):
the man church, stuff which it features like these forty week.
Curriculum So i'm on a video talking to the guys
for forty. Weeks you, know if you if you do
the curriculum and the whole And i'm not the whole. Thing,
WELL i just set up the small groups and then
the leaders of the groups go through a study guide
that we all the on the team put together that
go with the. Video the video is only about at

(02:39:04):
the most fifteen, minutes and now they're the later, curriculum
they're probably around ten. Minutes but, anyway so SO i
was there. Speaking So i'm sitting, there you, know back
in like the pastor's office or, whatever getting ready to,
go and a guy comes in and he, goes, hey,

he was, LIKE i don't know WHY i thought.

Speaker 14 (02:40:01):
That he.

Speaker 4 (02:40:02):
Goes he.

Speaker 3 (02:40:02):
Goes when someone said that to, ME i, thought, well
that doesn't make any. Sense but in the, MOMENT i, thought,
hey bird coming over here for forty weeks with, us
and you come in here and sit. Down AND i was,
like well how about. This i'm here, now so so
and but that was. Funny he. GOES i up to
tell everybody be for to. This were hanging, out talked
to birds so and he goes AND i realized how

(02:40:25):
dumb that, was but in the moment that for some
reason it made. Sense, Uh, ander let's talk a little
bit ABOUT i know this is, well it's three, minutes
oh but two a, Here and LIKE i, SAID i
don't think we go through the whole three. Minutes but you,

these the flooding that has taken so much, life you, know,
you let's, look let's just call, it, okay and maybe
we can come back and back and say it that
we'll come, back but let's just call. It we like
to certainly warranted to give the the really weirdos on

(02:41:08):
the far left a hard, time and they deserve. It
i'm not backing off on that at. All but we
must realize that there is a some people on the
right pretty weird. Too oh, yeah, hey we we we
got we got, hey we got our. Weirdos i've never
met we got. Them i'm not one of. Them, Look

(02:41:29):
i'll say. This i'll say. This even in the advancement
of the, gospel even within the, church there's some. Weirdos,
OKAY i, mean and you, know let's just say weirdos
in every wall. Hill, yeah people that you're kind of, saying,
hey you're hurting. This please don't make people, think you,
know if you's not be weird about. IT i, mean
let's let's be let's be desirable, people not people that

(02:41:50):
that people, go, Wow i'm SURE i want to spend
every sundery with that. Person but but, anyway, no and
and so when we come, back and that's what we'll.
Do we'll come back And i'm still not going to
do all three. Minutes But Glenn beck finally is trying
to get to this cloud seating thing because of that
cloud chemical. Trails Fat, hey they did, it and they
did it, deliberate just like they on purpose acted like

(02:42:14):
somebody shot At trump so he can win the, election you,
know and all this kind of. Stuff so we you,
know because at first you're, like wew this this place
was not, secure and you get over there and people
that say that's no big. Deal you, go, well that's.
Weird but then you get to the other end of
weird and where there comes the accusation now from the
left back to the right that, know not Only i'll

(02:42:34):
tell you why it wasn't. Secure it's because y'all did
it on. Purpose everybody just starts the weird thing that
it was all set up, well the cloud, seating and
there's always the nine to eleven people that there's always
this bunch that something like this, happens it was orchestrated
by the government and it was done deliberately by some
machine that they. Have you remember the time That GEORGE.

(02:42:55):
W bush was accused of having a weather machine Hurricanes
he would send hurricanes after black. People do you remember?

Speaker 20 (02:43:02):
This?

Speaker 3 (02:43:03):
Ye, yes it was a big. Deal. Right remember The
hawaii fires At you talked about the blue.

Speaker 6 (02:43:08):
ROOFS i. DIDN'T i said what people were saying talk about.

Speaker 3 (02:43:11):
IT i talked about it a little bit of. AUTHORITY
i didn't just say. THAT i did.

Speaker 6 (02:43:16):
NOT i said that that's what people are cleaning land grab,
Right so that is, True so they'll take advantage of a.
Disaster i'm not saying that they are necessarily causing.

Speaker 3 (02:43:25):
Them But Glenn beck is going to talk to Rain
MAKER ceo this is a cloud seating company that that that's,
real and he's going to ask him even with it's
kind of like the way people feel about solar panels and.
Windmills they think there's enough there to replace. Oil we're

(02:43:47):
not even it couldn't remotely do.

Speaker 20 (02:43:51):
That.

Speaker 3 (02:43:51):
Okay but, anyway so when when we come, back he's
going to, say we you, know the technology, exists but
what you guys are talking about here is. ABSURD i,
mean it's fact it can't do. THIS i mean, so
uh so we'll come, back but then the others and
then people will, go, well he's not gonna go in
there an admit.

Speaker 6 (02:44:10):
It, no it'll, change it'll change.

Speaker 3 (02:44:13):
Nothing but it's good for people like me and us to.

Speaker 10 (02:44:15):
Hear.

Speaker 3 (02:44:15):
Yeah, yeah you know now the people that believe, this
and no matter what you're gonna, say you can't reason
with unreasonable. People but we'll we'll take a listen and
look at that when we come.

Speaker 1 (02:44:25):
Back this is The Rick Burgess. Show another one us
doing what he was born to, do The Rick Burgers.

Speaker 3 (02:44:48):
Show so here we, Go, America thanks for being with us.
Today are you in a situation let me just have
your attention for a minute on.

Speaker 6 (02:44:59):
This it.

Speaker 3 (02:45:00):
Happens seen it. Firsthand you get stuck with a house
that you need to, move and you need to move.
Fast And i've seen all these. Scenarios i've. Seen, hey,
honey just to find out from the, company they're moving
us got to get to wherever new. MARKET i got
to go. On you stay, back get this house. Sold

(02:45:21):
i'll go where we're. At see IF i can't find
a real estate agent to get us started. There but
how about if you didn't have to pay commission to
a real estate, agent and you had somebody to come
in and help you, say, look we'll sell this house
at a fair. Price we'll get some good, money and
we'll sell it. Fast that's the name of the, Company
sell my House. Fast they have great. Reviews you can

(02:45:44):
find those On, google five star reviews. Everywhere let's say
you inherited a house that's kind of old and not
in great. Shape they'll do the. Repairs they'll move anything
out of there it needs to be moved. Out they'll
help you with. That maybe you have been a, landlord

(02:46:04):
you've had it with this tenant or, tenants and you're,
Like i'm getting out of. This i'm selling this. House
whatever the case may. Be if you need to sell
the house, fast they'll get your fair. Price they'll close,
fast no real estate. Commissions contact them right now by
going to either go To Rick Burgess show dot com
und or sponsors you see their phone number, there or

(02:46:26):
just call them one eight hundred seven three four zero
five zero four sell my house. Fast So beck is
talking to A ceo of some of this goo engineering cloud.
Seating Rain maker is the, name and he is talking

(02:46:47):
about them being accused of potentially causing the problem In
texas And New. Mexico, EVELER i don't know how we
make this three. Minutes you kind of know where we
need to.

Speaker 6 (02:46:58):
Go it's a stopping point at two. Minutes, okay if
you want To there is some very good information in.
Here he covers a lot of the questions that we've
had about camtrails and contrails and spraying and all.

Speaker 21 (02:47:10):
That if you guys want to check it, Out, yeah,
okay here we go to clarify cloud. Seating the best
operations we've ever seen from either Rain maker's own work
or The National center For Atmospheric research or other, institutions
can produce tens of millions of gallons of precipitation distributed
over hundreds of square miles over the course of about
an hour or. Two the remnants of tropical Storm berry

(02:47:34):
that blew in and caused the. Flooding that storm dumps
trillions of gallons In july, second we flew about a
twenty minute flight where we seated two, clouds two small
clouds with about seventy grams worth OF silverid that's about
ten skittles worth of. Material and those clouds dissipated about
two hours after the event.

Speaker 18 (02:47:56):
Any, Rain, yeah, Ok and they, dissipated and they don't
remain up in the. Atmosphere right the, clouds the skittles
one the skittles of.

Speaker 21 (02:48:11):
Material they could not have stayed suspended in the atmosphere
by the time that the flooding started. Happening cloud seating
is a technology developed in The United states in the
nineteen forties to increase water supply for, farms for ecosystem,
conservation for, reservoirs for, residences and also our. Industries it

(02:48:32):
relies on identifying liquid and clouds and then releasing, particulate
specifically silver iye ed into those clouds that the water
freezes onto into big snowflakes and then become heavy enough
to fall as. Rain cloud seating has been going on
in The United states for. Decades it, again is paid
for by farmers and utilities and government entities that want

(02:48:55):
more water for their. Constituents cloud seating is not solar radiation,
modification nor is it.

Speaker 3 (02:49:00):
Chemtrails.

Speaker 21 (02:49:01):
Right solar radiation modification is a real technology that people
are investigating and developing and increasingly deploying to release reflective
particles into the upper atmosphere to cool down the, planet
so dim the sun and cool the planet. Down cloud,
seating although it is also in the, ATMOSPHERE i think
that it's something that deserves a ton of. Scrutiny totally.
Agree so there you.

Speaker 3 (02:49:24):
Go he's saying the technology we're using it was we
started dabbling with it in the forties to see if
we could help, farmers you, know because if you, don't
if you can't afford some elaborate irrigation, system you're at
the mercy of naturally occurring. Weather can we help them
maybe get rain when they need it in small? Portions
but the technology in no way could even pull off

(02:49:48):
this kind of. Flooding it's not. Possible we don't we
don't have that kind of. Technology even if somebody wanted
to do, it it couldn't be. Done, Yeah so that's
that's the bottom line with all, That so please don't
put any weight and these people say these outrageous. Things
so continuing.

Speaker 6 (02:50:09):
Real, Quick, yeah sure to clarify what that rain maker
company is. Doing they use drones that you don't use.
Airplanes they use drones and like he, said they have
to find a cloud that has water in it already
to go into that. Cloud get the silver eyed eyede out.
There and they're using little drones and dropping a small
amount of material to make rainfall in a very specific.

Speaker 7 (02:50:32):
Place they have been doing it for a long.

Speaker 6 (02:50:35):
Time but again they're causing millions of gallons of water
to fall in a specific. Place The texas floods.

Speaker 7 (02:50:42):
Was trillions of gallons of water that.

Speaker 6 (02:50:44):
Fell so you, Know i'm just trying to relay those
numbers to people that are trying to point fingers to
this specific company that was cloud seeding in the days
before The texas Flood so there you.

Speaker 3 (02:50:56):
Go also some other things to look. At let's go
to the nines. HERE i think we can get the
ones that we need in. There So Scott, jennings you,
know we always have to hear From. Scott he's trying
to educate once again the left that can't understand Why
americans are okay with illegal people being removed from our

(02:51:17):
country and illegal people not being placed on. Welfare he, says,
politically this is not politically. Devastating it's just common sense
Why americans wouldn't want.

Speaker 12 (02:51:28):
That, here he is nine to a he is, wrong
and most virtually Every republican thinks he's. Wrong there's nothing
politically devastating about trying to bar one point four million
illegal aliens from getting. Welfare there's nothing politically devastating about
encouraging four point eight million people who choose not to
work to try to work a little in order to
get government. Benefits and they did in The senate install

(02:51:50):
a fifty billion dollar fund for rural, hospitals which was
something he also raised concerns. About SO i don't agree
with his political, analysis nor does virtually Every republican who
helped to craft and ultimately pass this. Bill AND i
Think republicans ought to lean into these. Things work requirements are.
Good encouraging work instead of welfare is a good, thing
and it will work in.

Speaker 3 (02:52:09):
Campaign, yeah what he's saying is that there's been some
political analystis said That trump is getting bad. Advice these
things he's doing are detrimental to his, popularity And Scott
jennings is, like, NO i really. DON'T i think that's.
INCORRECT i would disagree with. Him not only DO i
think he's, WRONG i think they should be more clear
that they're doing this and why they're DOING i think

(02:52:30):
it will only make them more popular with the people
who voted for.

Speaker 10 (02:52:33):
Them so and we.

Speaker 3 (02:52:36):
Do i've said this many, times even back in The
rick above a. DAYS i do think that some of
the things we wanted to help people as bridges FROM
i out of a job until you get a new.
Job we never thought that especially able working, men but
women too would just choose not to work when they

(02:52:57):
men being physically can. Easy we never thought that would.

Speaker 1 (02:53:00):
Happen this is The Rick Burgers, show.

Speaker 12 (02:53:07):
Another, one.

Speaker 3 (02:53:19):
So we're. Back thank you for being with us on
this edition Of The Rick Burgers. Show we've covered quite
a bit on the program. Today interesting to get updates
watching Text. Nation you, know the thing that's beautiful about
the show on Text nation is when you look and

(02:53:39):
you see, this which is kind of the way the show.
Operates you've got, PEOPLE i, mean they're they're deep diving
on cloud Seating Kim. TRAIL'S i mean they're just firing
them in, here and then all of a, sudden right
in the middle of, it someone showing us their brunch. Omelet,
yeah you, know, yeah AND i find myself more interested in.

Speaker 20 (02:54:00):
It?

Speaker 3 (02:54:01):
