You did, you know what he said?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Well, I mean that's just gonna be this morning.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
So I ain't got it.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
So anyway, I'm gonna take a few, you know, go
birth to the expo. Yeah he might need Yeah, and
uh I talked to mo Tree, you know, and uh
and I said, I said, well, are you gonna stop by?
I mean, you know, y'all know what he said.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Everybody want to I ain't got to be on the
first time he's been by since he had a negative comment.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Hey, hey, I'm just gonna go on. You know, I
ain't got to stop bothering now, I don't have to seriously.
Of course, every where I go, everybody on on Facebook,
they won't know what I'm be on again.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Hena wear his new staff shirt. You're that's a good question, don't.
I mean he needs to show up with his staff shirt. Man,
how about this? Don't forget Peter's out after him because
he's got two of them French.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Bulldogs that I forgot that. Let's ask him, Let's ask
you about that thing. So he's he says he will
stop by okay, uh now I don't know when, and
but I was, he's normally early, and I, of course
you know, you know, you know how much fun I
love to have with him. Gregy said, Gary, look, you

(04:46):
don't come up here if you, you know, gonna get
your feelings hurt. Well are you telling me? I said,
I saw you a little face when somebody said something
negative about you on text line. Well, I mean, you know,
I mean, I don't care. I don't care what nobody said.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I said.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It han't been back since then. Well, I mean I'm busy.
I mean I had a guy calling I had a
guy call me yesterday and just said forget I just
said forget it. I said, what do you mean? Well,
I tried to take on, you know, another job, you know,
outside of you and alriea and you know, and twenty
eight days he took the guy to pay me. I
just should forget it. And I said, well, what do

(05:22):
you mean forget it? Wh I ain't I can't get
none of this on my plate. And I just shit,
forget it. I ain't wait twenty eight days get paid
slow pay. And the guy said, well that's just either
Orderer gud. Did you just come there and cut this here?
He said, well, you better get somebody else to cut it.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
He's telling you all this.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I'm out, And I said, so you've been too busy
to come to show. Yeah, I ain't. I mean I
got it. I work for a living. And I said
I know that. So he's gonna all the way?

Speaker 7 (05:47):
Is he opening a restaurant? My goodness?

Speaker 8 (05:49):
Look at this food that he made for July fourth.
He's got the brill going, he's got a fryer going,
and then.

Speaker 7 (05:55):
He's got like a commercial sized friar yea.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Donald's.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
Yeah, what is he frying? Look delicious? But I'm glad
you're showing this. I would like to ask him who
is he cooking for? Did he?

Speaker 7 (06:09):
Is he opening a food truck? I mean, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (06:12):
I would also I'm also going to say this, when
we had the Burgess bast battle, how come we didn't
have that fire with us?

Speaker 5 (06:18):
You know, there's so.

Speaker 7 (06:19):
Many questions I could have gotten to us quicker?

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah, does it not travel? Remember he was just trying
to do it. I'm just a regular sized pot.

Speaker 7 (06:26):
Why it took so long?

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Real good, delicious.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
He's a good cook.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
But here we go. He is a great cook. I do.
I don't like a mess. I do chicken. But his
second he's not coming in second. He's not coming empty
handed today. He better not.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Hey, I'm going over that xbocuse I can't stay long now.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
He needs to get past that one bad batch of
brittle he made and bringing some brittle.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
He made one bad batch. It was like eating concrete.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
And if you think about it, he didn't have what
he needed. He was trying to make it. He was
and the late great guy about that briddle.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I won't never do it again.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
And I thought, okay, maybe burgers.

Speaker 7 (07:05):
He can bring us some burgers.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
That would be great.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Hey, IM like a good burger.

Speaker 5 (07:09):
He does.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
But anyway, so he's he's coming by now. Of course,
as usual, this thing goes on for three days, probably
ten twelve hours ago. One Gary's gonna go for like
forty five minutes, right right, Yeah, one day was a stretch. Hey,
I ain't staying over all weekend. I ain't got time.

Speaker 9 (07:25):
Man.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Well, it didn't even open up till mid afternoon. He
doesn't have to get over there. I'm sitting here looking
at the world. Dere ex bo I don't know that's
where it's what it's called.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You not to get early and look around. Look, Gary,
this is a vendor.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
Is he going to set up a table and a booth?
I have no idea.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
He's probably just gonna show up at his buddy's booth
with a box of calls like.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
He didn't exactly exactly what. He better have his showed
staff shirt on. He's gonna pull over a chair from
you know who knows where he got the chair from.
Ma I don't have to deal with him. Yeah, Hey, Robert,
Hey Robert.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
So if you're going to that in Birmingham this weekend, Hey,
I'm just gonna tell you you're gonna have to get
real specific to find Gary.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
But he's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
There for some window. He'll be tied to somebody's booty,
but not for long. No, because he ain't staying all
We ain't doing it. You know why it works?

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Got interactive booth map. I'm going I'm gonna try to
find it because you got to work around him. It's
like dealing with Greg. You gotta just do research for you,
he said, he said the other day. Somehow he did it.
He had some he had some hellish today okay.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Yeah, and he gets home you with a thousand degrees
and he somehow locked his fob and his keys inside
his truck and he had to crawl through the window
or whatever. Yeah, And I said, did you get upsett yourself?
He goes, hey, yeah I got. He said, Yeaver. Just
you just start just cushing yourself like a blue street.
And I said, I said he was. You know, there's
a mistake. I thought I could have something. I said, well,

(08:51):
how bad was? He goes, I'll tell you how bad
it was. I got a neighbor. It's a lesbian and
she got up out of her chair on the porch
went inside.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Oh no, I said, Gary, you could just say her
by name. You don't have to give me the background.
You can just even say your name to say neighbors.
That's all you have to say. Yes, all right, we'll
come back. Wow speedy you want to be You will
not be thrilled. Something happened to me on the way
in today.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Oh really?

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah, this is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Morning.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
In order to truly benefit from this show, you must
have a sense of humor. So like nothing Braxis and
enjoy the Rick British Show.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
All right, America.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
So Gary coming up, Burgess ball battle coming up a
little bit. I don't want to be this person. I
hate to even bring up taxes on a hare on
a Friday. We're all having a good time and here
I come ruining it. But anyway, if you have a
tax issue hanging over your head, your day's already a
little darker than it should be. So why don't we

(10:17):
bring back the sunshine and let's get this done. We've
got people to help you at US tax Shield. They
will help you. Go to Rick Burgersshow dot com. You'll
see them right there under the sponsors. Let me give
you their number one eight hundred seven six nine seven
three four oh rated A plus by the Better Business
Bureau A plus. Take control of your financial future. This

(10:41):
stuff the number, I mean, the largest, I should say,
is better way to put it. Collection agency in the
world is the I R S. They don't play any
games and they want to resolve this as much as
you do. They can garnish your wages, they can sell
off land. It's not good. So let's get this done
and let us tax shield. You don't want to go

(11:02):
talking to the irs by yourself. Let the attorneys, let
the enrolled agents that now work for them. Stop the collections,
get you protected, and let's let's get this worked out.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
The number is one eight hundred and seven sixty nine
seven three four zero. Just get their information, no obligation
to use them. There's also a link with that same
phone number at Rick Burgess show dot com under the
sponsors let me deal with because tax Nations already started,
and I knew this was going to happen. So you don't,
you know, embarrass yourself on a phone segment or something
and you feel awkward. I have a a suit on

(11:39):
because I'm going to Jordie Henson's funeral today and I'm
a pallbearer, so I don't want some of you to
call up and go, what's Rick gottaitoot on board if
you're going if you're wrong? Yeah, well actually yeah, actually
actually yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (11:52):
That's a great one.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Yeah for real.

Speaker 7 (11:54):
Yeah, we're we're all poor, buddy, we're all black. What
do you think you are, Johnny Cash?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, so we are all going to the funeral. But
I'm a pallbearer, so I have to go on. I
probably will leave the show maybe one segment early. Got
to go pick up Sherry, go down and start that
and of course go allway through the grave side today.
But it will be a celebration as you heard me
talk about our dear friend Jordie Henson. It will be

(12:20):
a worship service today the redeemed, especially those who are
getting a well done, who actually were followers of Jesus
and obedient to their Lord and Savior. When we lay
these people down, can't just anybody bury him. It's an
honor to be a pallbearer for him today and it
will be a worship service, worshiping and remember worshiping the

(12:42):
one and only living God that Jordie Henson serves so well,
and also hearing from his family and friends today. It'll
be a great celebration. We will miss him, and we
do miss him, but his suffering is over, and we
know that's not the end of the story. So that's
what's going on today. So I want to hit you
with a few things that are going on this weekend.

(13:05):
If you are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hello, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and
I know some of you are there, I had the
pleasure which leads into what I unfortunately have to tell
Speedy today. He's going to be so so disappointed to
me and I'm going to get a big I told
you show. But anyway, so had a great visit with
Faith in the Zone. It's a show about sports and

(13:27):
also faith like us, it's only a secular radio station
Big nine to twenty w ok y and also the
iHeart Radio app. So if you have iHeart Radio the app,
you can also find Mike mcgervin. Our begiven McGivern. He
kept saying his name. I couldnt quite understand how he said.
It was a great host. We had a blast, Greg.

(13:51):
This is what I love. Here is Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dad
was never there, people there, not even clubs. And Mike
was talking about how reading men don't run in the rain.
He said, I just I love your dad. I feel
like I know him now. Thank you for introducing him
to me and so many and Mike just went on

(14:13):
and on how dad's teachings really helped him and affected him.
And the epilogue where we talk about people who maybe
their relationship with their dad was not as wonderful as
you and I are blessed to have had. But anyway,
so if you want to catch that that runs on Sundays,
it'll run at eight o'clock local time, that's Eastern time
on Sunday, or you can find it on the iHeart

(14:35):
radio app. So Faith in the Zone, thank you Mike
for having me on. So we also did I work
my way to what speed He's going to love? We
also did episode seven of Strange Encounters that'll be out
this weekend wherever you get podcasts. This is a podcast
about spiritual warfare. We interview author Dana Freed. She has

(14:56):
written the book and I mean it is a great
source full of scripture on so many topics from the
Bible about spiritual warfare, some interesting stories about things she's
encountered as well, but it's what every Christian needs to
know about spiritual warfare is the name of her book,
and we walked through some of that on episode seven,

(15:18):
including things that she encountered herself.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
You start that in Amazon.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, so, yeah, the books on Amazon if you want
to grab that. But catch that conversation this weekend on
episode seven. Then it leads to so keep in mind,
did the show Okay, did the show was OneD with
Faith in the Zone, the radio show. Did our own
podcast Strange Encounters. Meandered into my office, started looking, you know,

(15:48):
we have a pr company who works through Speedy to
work with me on the places I'm supposed to be
and things I'm supposed to do. Sherry told me years
ago that I was completely dependent. I have tried to
refute that I'm not doing real well with that. Won't
do well here. All of a sudden, I'm sitting there

(16:09):
in my office looking over things. I've gone to the
grocery store to restock our our little little snack area
and our breakfast stuff so we could all have stuff
since Greg won't let us have any hits and so true.
So all of a sudden, all of a sudden, texts,
so need any help? Did you forget how to get here?

(16:30):
I'm looking at him like, what is this?

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Looks me? He's getting nervous. Hey, just let it.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Let me know when you're outside. I mean, did you
find a place to park?

Speaker 5 (16:40):
What in the world make it? Sounds familiar?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
And I look down atlant Ingram again, did you nope?
Eighteen nineteen? He used the podcast. They they they I didn't.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Know about this.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
I know I had it, I had a name. You'd
already done that. This was not about the book.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
He wanted. They wanted to have me back on.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
I was on there about seven months ago, and they
wanted to have me back on to talk about the
book Brian Dawson and because here's a mistake I made,
because we know Brian, and because Brian even goes out
and speaks with the Man Church. Just as soon as
his podcast handler reached out, I thought, well, I don't
need Speedy for this. I don't need to get everybody

(17:20):
involved in this. I'll just handle this on my own.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
This is nothing, Rick, what did you do?

Speaker 4 (17:25):
I won't forget about it.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
What did you do?

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I said, I can read. I said I can be
there in twenty five minutes. Do y'all still want to
do it? And they said, yes, we're here the rest
of the afternoon. Come on, yeah, yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 10 (17:40):
Was.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Did you thought your day was?

Speaker 5 (17:43):
I was?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
I was one hour and forty minutes late.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Rick, Hey, what that's not that bad? You know what
that unacceptable?

Speaker 2 (17:51):
You know what that is. I do know what that is.
And I said to it when he was when I
walked in, he had you, He said, I read that
in the book.

Speaker 5 (17:58):
I walked in.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
I said, no excuses, I said, on me, I tried
to do this on my own.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
I never put it on my calendar, even though I
have multiple emails where y'all actually have.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
All I have to do is click and it's.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
On my calendar.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
And I said I had to call.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Yeah, I never I said your team did your job masterfully.
My team would have done their job masterfully. I didn't
do my job, and you needed to tell them.

Speaker 9 (18:20):
You know.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
They were talking to me like, has Urgis added it
to his calendar yet he has not?

Speaker 7 (18:24):
Okay, I got it done.

Speaker 5 (18:27):
So you mean to afdra So you went to the
grocery store hopping around like you're just done, and they're
just sitting there waiting. I wouldn't have me some lunch.
I'm done to the day.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
By the way, I was actually eating lunch when I
was supposed to be there.

Speaker 7 (18:43):
I was lunch.

Speaker 11 (18:44):
It was good.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Here's the Rick Burgess Show. This is what Trump had

(19:07):
in mind when he sought to make America greet again.
The Rick Burger Shows.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
All right, so we're back America, thanks for being with
us today. So is Milwaukee on Central Eastern Time?

Speaker 8 (19:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
I thought it was central.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
If it's central, then when I say local time, I
mean whatever the local time is where that's gonna happen.
Whatever time zone Milwaukee's on. It's eight o'clock in the morning,
Central time, Okay, all right, so that's what the text main.
Sorry about that, I didn't know. I thought they were
Eastern time, all right. So anyway, so Milwaukee time eight
am on Sunday, and you can get it if you

(19:48):
get that affiliate r on the iHeart podcast app Faith
in the Zone. That had a great time and speedy.
So I honestly thought that I didn't need to run
all of this PR two with the book through you
and the PR agency. So uh, I guess I'll just
give a big guess what's wrong about that?

Speaker 5 (20:06):
Yeah? Yeah, so I just I mean copping me on
the email or something. I had no idea. I'm learning
about this now, and now I will say this, Rick,
thank you for not calling me and getting me into
a panic about the fact you missed it on the
way there. It was totally on me. Yeah, go outside
the little I took on the ship of it. Yeah,
it is funny that you were there to talk about

(20:28):
the book and you were an hour and a half.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Can you imagine me me leaving dad hanging for an hour?
A matter of fact, if if Brian Dawson, who host
eighteen nineteen News the Podcast, were dead, I would be
off the team. Yeah, you'd be bened so off the team.
So you'd be suspended for a game.

Speaker 5 (20:47):
Yeah. Yeah. How far along were you in your lunch
when you Oh, I was completely done with it. Okay,
So you were wrapping up enjoy.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
That I had a saw me. I had eaten lunch,
gone to the grocery store, brought all the stuff back
was in there. I had looking at stuff on my
phone and returning emails and just kind of making sure.
This is what I love, making sure I hadn't forgotten anything. Yeah,
and I was getting ready to do the big wrap
up and leave and uh and there and then here

(21:15):
comes to tex No. I've noticed something about you and
it was downtown. A lot of you don't live where
we live. You could when you leave this office and
you got to get downtown and leave downtown.

Speaker 7 (21:27):
Leaving downtown it's even worse.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Yeah, and I think wild traffic most of us can
relate to the issue that you're having because all joking aside,
we've all forgotten something and been late for something and uh,
you know, unintentionally Uh, but I've noticed something about the
two of you. Even though you're very efficient and you
don't forget much, you don't have any digital reminders of
anything on your calendar. If I was to tell Greg,

(21:51):
you know, hey, pull up the icw lap, he go.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Don't never work. You all been trying to get me on.

Speaker 5 (21:56):
It for a year. Here we go, it doesn't work.
You'll say you should have it. I don't.

Speaker 8 (22:00):
Okay, I see, I've struggled with the calendar as well.
But I keep my own calendar and a lot of
times I'll just add whatever we got to my own.

Speaker 5 (22:07):
Calendar, and yeah, and you can do that. You can
make a home calendar and it doesn't have to be
an eye call. It could be your Google or whatever.
Y'all have no reminder to pop up on your phone
and go, hey, remember, well here's this podcasts.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
This is what makes mine so stupid. I mean, at
a level of stupidity is that I'm currently currently still
access to me every day. I have access to you.
Uh huh, okay, the producer of the show that makes
sure everybody's where they're supposed to be. I got that
every day now added to you. I have a pr
agency that's running the promotion.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
For the book.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Ye I use neither of those, Okay, and that and
that's what's so stupid. I mean, and and I and
I do have a home calendar, which is a written calendar.
If I just simply take, by the way, the two
to three emails that the producer of that podcast sent
to me to be sure I wouldn't for you, and
just simply put that information that they sent over days

(23:05):
on my own calendar, I would have just put that
into everything we did yesterday. So what happened is, Hey,
I know this guy. He and I are, you know,
work together with the Man Church. So I don't need
all that we Apparently I do. Okay, apparently I do,
you know, And this is what happens when I try
to fly on my own. And I will now I
went home and told Sherry, and I will now tell

(23:27):
you in front of the whole world, I am completely
handlered dependent and I reject any other notion. Are you
teaching John, I'm teaching Rick, Rick learned when he was
downtown yesterday real late.

Speaker 7 (23:41):
Well, the first step is admitting it.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Rick. When I saw when I saw hour number fourteen
roll by on that day, I thought I hope you're learning,
long day. I hope you're learning sitting in afternoon drive
traffic that you normally aren't in.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
Okay, are you learning?

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Rick? And I would say to myself, yes, Rick, I
am learning.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (24:02):
And then then Rick said to Rick, do you know
time zones? I said, apparently not. Okay, So so there
you go. So what happened to you today? You said,
don't know.

Speaker 5 (24:11):
If there would have been a simply safe door camera, okay,
at the entrance of this building, y'all would have some
gold today because I walked right through a ginormous spiderwey.
I warned you. This was these load laying low hanging
branches that that are here walking guys. It hit me,

(24:33):
it would have if you saw it looked like I
was fighting a ghost. I was. I was. I was
punching in the air and your arm hair, yeah, I
try being bald. Okay, that's stuck to your having hair,
yeah yeah. And now I feel like it's it's down
the back. It was down the back of my shirt.

Speaker 7 (24:53):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
I almost took my shirt off and just started slinging
it because now you don't know where the spider I
don't and I feel like.

Speaker 5 (24:58):
It's crawling on me. And I mean I still feel
like it's on me. The guys, I think for about
twenty seconds you would have had some video gold because
I literally I dropped.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
My bag that I was carrying. I don't spider, I
have it built back before we leave, we'll walk through it.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Well, you remember what it was? Such a big spider
web that had leaves in it.

Speaker 8 (25:15):
How do you such wide? Yeah, and they're big right now.
It's like Spider season. It's like from the movie Spider Man.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
That spider you can't even enjoy, like the trails at
the farm right now, just one.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
Yeah, you guys, get the stick and walk.

Speaker 8 (25:33):
You got you look like a crazy person like you're
a wizard of Wizard Waverley Place or whatever you.

Speaker 7 (25:38):
Know as you're walking through the trails, but you have to.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
And their ability to go from my house and condect
to my truck is amazing. Overnight I just parked the
night before. They've been working all night. Yeah, well what
they was.

Speaker 8 (25:51):
In the back of my van because the side, the
driver's side has a spider web every morning, So get
in the back, I walk all the way.

Speaker 5 (25:57):
Through and get in the front seat.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Picture at So when when? What day was it this week?
Was it Monday?

Speaker 5 (26:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
When I got here and I gave a warning, watch
out SPIDERY was warning, it's the one that got speed.
It's the one that got speed. He just moved over
a little bit.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Okay, because it was you know, I mean, I'm not
trying to throw shade on whoever does the maintenance here,
because they did great, but that there's some hard work.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
Boy here, you are throwing shade on it. I bring
my clippers. Well you want him in charge of spider.

Speaker 5 (26:25):
I'm just saying there's some low laning hanging limbs that
you have to dodge a little bit. And so I
think they were connected to the limbs, and I walked
right through it. I hope it run your head. I
think it. I think it did. I see it's in
your headphones, right, and I still have some man that
just over me. So I was I can't I can't
get comfortable.

Speaker 7 (26:43):
It's in your skin.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
I went to the.

Speaker 7 (26:49):
Okay, it's on your call.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
Did you ever find a spider? I never found the spider,
but I went to slapping my back, you know, like
you start doing you can't get it off, you know,
how you patch yourself on the back. I'm doing this.
I'm going here. I almost took my shirt off. I dropped.
My spiders are.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Amazing, Yeah they are, by the way, like was it Wednesday? Wednesday?
I went to the farm. So I was driving all
the trails looking for trees that were down on patrol,
moving games, moving game cameras around because you know, now
the bucks are in velvet, phones are dropping, you know
what I mean, And so, uh, you know, we're getting ready, Yeah,
you don't believe it or not. And so I'm going

(27:28):
around and by the time the side by side is out,
it's just covered in spider webs. Covered, I mean just
covered in spoder webs. And I'm like, you can't even
I mean it was I think it was.

Speaker 5 (27:40):
When was it? Anyway, So I'm down at uh with
with Tommy Leanor, and we're riding the trails doing some
stuff like you're saying. And we went through one and
there's a spider that got inside the side by side
and we about hit a tree. I don't know what
it is.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Girl.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
Oh hey, we're trying to get it off. It's like
the b in the car know where you're about wreck
because of something because you forget about you're actually driving. Yeah,
you're chasing to be quick. Rick, stop, I might I
might have something stuck to my shirt. He's looking at
spider webs on my back. I'm itch, what if we
look for Oh, isn't that crazy? Get that? It's hey,

(28:16):
it's like I walked through the bulls eye of Oh
it went. We were right in the middle of it.
It's just it's like it's I'm telling you about about.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
You part did you part to the left of me,
of the right of me?

Speaker 5 (28:31):
Back and then left? Oh? Yeah, you in dangers? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (28:38):
I think it's sitting a shirt pocket. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (28:40):
See it is when you're pulling the invisible strings off
you and you you look like a crazy person.

Speaker 7 (28:47):
Yeah, I mean, what are you?

Speaker 9 (28:48):
What?

Speaker 7 (28:48):
What's going on?

Speaker 5 (28:49):
I wish I could interview a spider and go to
talk talk to me from midnight to hear what y'all
been doing.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
You know how long does it take y'all to be
you finally reassured and you think, I don't think it's
on me until y'all start.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, God fearing and America

(29:23):
loving the Rick Burgers Show.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
So we're back America thanks for being with us today
as we work our way to another Rick Burgess show
still to come. Hey, maybe you can't have something. Gary
probably coming by within an hour, probably something like that.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
To visit with us.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
So we'll chat with Gear coming up a little bit
later on in the program. So be sure you're standing
by for this. Hey, Tallisy, Alabama?

Speaker 5 (29:56):
How you doing?

Speaker 12 (29:57):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Tallisy?

Speaker 12 (29:58):
What up? What up?

Speaker 7 (29:59):
Talis?

Speaker 2 (30:00):
If you were Florida, you'd be Tallahassee. But Tallasea, Alabama,
First Baptist Church Sunday night, looking forward to being there
with all of you. Lord willing so Manchurch kicking off
there at First Baptist Church, Tallasey. Men love to see
you there. Find the details at the manchurch dot com
under events and yes, as a matter of fact, I
went by and picked those up, something I did remember,

(30:23):
and there will be copies of Men Don't Run in
the Rain available. The church there wants to have those
in their men's ministry, have those available if you want
to pick one of those up while we're there coming
up Sunday night.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
So there you go.

Speaker 8 (30:35):
A local note about Tallisee. Okay, do you know about
the hotel Tallasee?

Speaker 5 (30:40):
I do not, okay.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
Hotel Tallasy is an old historic hotel. It actually it
was damaged by arson in two thousand and nine, so
it's damaged by what arson?

Speaker 7 (30:51):
A fire? But this is the Hotel Tallacy.

Speaker 8 (30:54):
It was a huge part of the town's downtown structure
from you know, parties, wedding and and and then they
even had like a huge famous buffet for years and
years and years. And I actually got to go there
before it closed down. I was hoping you maybe I
had some experience with it.

Speaker 5 (31:09):
But it is.

Speaker 7 (31:10):
It was a cool, cool thing.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
And if you mentioned it to the locals in Tallasee,
they will be very glad.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Spelled, I'll be concerned. It's not spelled like the town.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
Isn't that funny? Isn't that funny? It's it's spelled differently,
sure is, But it is. It is in the town
of tallis it sure is?

Speaker 5 (31:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (31:25):
So uh yeah, it's just.

Speaker 8 (31:27):
Some weird, funny old Alabama small town history there Moore County.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Okay, all right, so uh.

Speaker 7 (31:36):
Beautiful beautiful.

Speaker 5 (31:38):
Yeah yeah, baby past that exit coming back from Larry West.
Oh wow, you have flashbacks like the war so that
time have.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
You have you heard speaking of that? Have you heard
from the not the old Vicky, the current Vicky.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
She gives Yeah, yeah, how she's not from with because
she's at a rap She's from the Center, from Mountaineer.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Oh no, I'm sorry. There's a woman that calls all
the time named Lynn from we Tompkin.

Speaker 5 (32:10):
You know, you know, Hobby knows the Vicky that's calling.
She's from.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
Now I know Vicky because where from from?

Speaker 5 (32:19):
Yeah? She sends me, I mean to to two people
that are in my world that y'all don't know a
lot about, and that's Larry. He'll text me, and Vicky
will will contact me, and she lets me know every
morning that she's up walking. I think she's up.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
She's she's up for like a mile and a half.

Speaker 7 (32:37):
I'm serious.

Speaker 8 (32:38):
That is awesome, Greg, people getting that's awesome. I'm trying
to be encouraged. You know why I said something, I
mean last week, I'm trying to be nice.

Speaker 5 (32:47):
I know.

Speaker 13 (32:49):
That.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
By the way, that's called conviction.

Speaker 8 (32:51):
Yeah, well, it's hanging out with y'all too much, y'all
we're talking about her and just I had a gap
in somebody's sentence. I go large, why would I you
that I've been hanging out with y'all too much. That's
not something I would normally do. That's not something a
normal person would do. Large what that's.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
Not necessary, it's not but you did it.

Speaker 7 (33:12):
And you know who does that kind of stuff, y'all.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
No, not y'all him.

Speaker 7 (33:17):
I'm sticking to my yall.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
You should all right.

Speaker 7 (33:20):
So Vicky keep going girl.

Speaker 5 (33:22):
So let's see. Uh, let's see. Every day she sends
she sends me an email, and she says, day before yesterday,
good morning, still walking, hitting over one point five, every day,
praying to hit two. She running? Uh now King Greg,
and now yesterday it was like, hey, I'm up and
headed out to walk. Keep praying. So she's trying water

(33:43):
and plants. Apparently Greg thinks it's funny that she's trying.
It's funny. Yeah, well it's kind of funny, but it's
in a good way.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
I think she emailed me too.

Speaker 5 (33:52):
By the way, buddy, here is because you said something hateful.

Speaker 7 (33:55):
Yeah that was not kind.

Speaker 9 (33:57):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (33:57):
So she says, I'm drinking at least six she had
a cups of water every day.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Good any any any numbers in there?

Speaker 5 (34:05):
You know, it would push us over the top. Deal
away with bread you know that's not.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
The way to coordinating eating bread, like you said. The
people who want to announce it to you, they ain't.
You know, I don't eat bread. Okay, we'll keep it
to yourself. Who cares bread.

Speaker 5 (34:20):
On Sunday of July fourth weekend, she said, I walked
every day last week except for July fourth. She says
that since then, I've tried to walk a bit longer.
Can to day Sunday? I walked one point sixty one miles.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Can I can I ask a hard question?

Speaker 5 (34:36):
Put a few lunges in? Ye?

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Can I can I ask a hard question?

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Okay? Did she go off the rails on the fourth?
She didn't.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
She didn't walk that out. That's okay?

Speaker 9 (34:45):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Well, she's focusing on everything you've accomplished.

Speaker 7 (34:50):
Is it Scotland she's going to?

Speaker 5 (34:52):
Yes.

Speaker 8 (34:52):
So this is just for everybody that's listening. This is
just a random listener. She's very kind. She's a bigger
than life person in bigger Okay, I'm not saying large again.
She's a larger person in personality town, in her town,
and she's trying to lose some weight before her trip.

(35:12):
Is it to Scotland?

Speaker 5 (35:13):
Greg?

Speaker 2 (35:13):
Is that right, Scott, you asking him?

Speaker 5 (35:15):
He remembers nothing, Scott, I don't know. Put it on account.

Speaker 7 (35:20):
And we're trying to encourage her.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
That's what we're doing.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
Yes, you know she has a big deal up there
where she lives.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Do you say that like that?

Speaker 2 (35:29):
I would go as far as you say local celebrity,
I would go.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
That's what I'm hearing her and Hoby, she said, a
celebrity there is Speedy's friend Hobby.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Home of Speedy's friend Hobby.

Speaker 5 (35:41):
She is dumping the granola and the yogurt to make
it bearable. She said, that's what she's eating. She's water
in her ferns and.

Speaker 7 (35:50):
She should just eat eggs and ground beef in staate.

Speaker 11 (35:52):
Do you want her?

Speaker 5 (35:53):
Do you want me to turn her over to train
to Sean? Are you gonna you're gonna keep helping?

Speaker 9 (35:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (35:57):
I don't know, she says. She tries to not think
about the jell o Jigler's when she's uh walking. What's
cell jigglers? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Why would you read that?

Speaker 2 (36:06):
Yeah, I don't think we should be talking about you.

Speaker 14 (36:07):
I got it.

Speaker 5 (36:08):
I haven't what I do too?

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Well?

Speaker 10 (36:10):
What is that?

Speaker 5 (36:11):
Don't say it. I'm out, Well you're out. We got
to like this. What do you watch a thousand pounds sisters?
They're like what I am? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (36:22):
It isn't a thousand pounds sisters.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Now let me tell you I don't. It's like personalities
that that argue who happened to be big?

Speaker 5 (36:31):
Let me say they are large.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Let me tell what's gonna happen, because I know how
it works as smaller. I know how spider webs on
me listen, I know how it works out there. She
will be told today incorrectly. I know incorrectly. Uh Greg,
Greg on the Rick Burgess Show said you were like
one of them on thousand pounds sisters, And that's not
what you just said. But I don't have to get
crammed exactly. I didn't say it. He brought it up.

Speaker 5 (36:51):
He didn't. Y'all want a picture of her? Yeah, that too.
Tell out. I can't let Rick.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
So you're telling me if for a year I worked
out eight right and did everything, and then I go
off rails one day that I've done away with that
whole year of working. Not a year, well even a month,
but a few months, even about days. Rick blew it
all did let me say this. Say I lost three
pounds and I weighed myself on three pounds camp on Thursdays,

(37:19):
just emailed you, and then all of a sudden, I'm like, hey,
I'm making the progress, and I go off the rails
on on on the fourth of July, three pounds. I
will defeat everything. Now we can eat three pounds in here.
I mean, come on, I'm just telling me, don't be
putting that faulse information. That's all I'm telling you.

Speaker 7 (37:34):
I need to show you a year.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
I'll say three weeks.

Speaker 5 (37:39):
All right, I'm gonna show a picture of it about
to get back on the next day. Yeah, I didn't
say that.

Speaker 7 (37:43):
Yeah, two days in a row.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
You're done.

Speaker 7 (37:45):
You're cooking this over.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
Forget it, just be fat. This is this. You said
that right when picture that was not this is this
is Vicky. This she was talking I was talking about
said that to the.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Tie to the second that we put it out, was
talking about Rick's workout statement that made it was ridiculous.

Speaker 15 (38:09):
Very ridiculous.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
He said the effort he did right soon as we
put her imagery. I was not looking at the screen.
I don't know anybody was on the screen. Well, that's
a very nice picture of you. She's so very sweet
to talk to.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
I think she's ready for Scotland.

Speaker 7 (38:22):
I think she's gonna do you know he's.

Speaker 5 (38:24):
Reading me to come to.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 7 (38:35):
Welcome to the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 15 (38:41):
The Voice of Reason for a Reason.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Lighting up Forrancis.

Speaker 16 (38:53):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
All right, America, buckle up, speedy, Greg Adler, Here, we're
ready for another hour.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
Gary stopping by today.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
I mean, I mean I ain't got to. I mean,
everywhere I go, everybody always asks me, Hey, when you're
gonna be back on the jokey in so Gary coming
up probably about an hour from now. Vox seats later,
Burgess ball battle again today and we'll meet the box seats.
We get unscreened phone calls, Hey Bird, Hey, burge Off.

(39:26):
Still to come today. The gang all here. As I mentioned, Uh, okay,
so we've talked to a good bit about AI. It
is creepy. Yeah, it's creepy. You were telling me, you know,
you know the real world and the fake world. Boy,
those lines are getting more and more blurred.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
They're getting better at it. Yeah, first a lot of
it was obvious, but now they're getting a little better.
Imagine this time next year, it was so much, so greatly.
We we're now right now in the times we're living in.
We we have a we're having to clarify that Mark Rubio.
There's a fake Mark Rubio out there, little Margo. Yeah,

(40:09):
that's from we had it like Wednesday, Rick, it's not
into Yeah, I wouldn't look for that anounce. But the
the reason you know they're having to do that is
people don't know what's real and what's not. Yeah, there
was an AI Marco Rubio that was trying to communicate
with some of some other countries and some different contacts,
and they actually had to come out and go this,

(40:30):
that's not the.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Real Ruby or y'all signed that deal this Yeah.

Speaker 5 (40:34):
Yeah, that's insane, man. The way that they can mimic
your voice, yeah, the inflection, uh, you know, all that
stuff is is bizarre. And it's concerning too, because how
are they going to get to the point where, you know,
they AI can claim you were somewhere you live You're like, no,
that's not me.

Speaker 8 (40:51):
No, We're gonna have to keep continuing to fight this
and hopefully try to stay ahead of it. And if
we don't stay ahead of it. Then that's terminator. To guys,
it's the end of the world.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
So we machines are taking over. Yes, we talked yesterday,
what if we started a podcast or something encouraging words
from Greg Burgess if Max of Cato got that, since
he might have stole that from you, Well, the audience
has responded. This comes from Ryan Gosh. Ryan yeah, and

(41:22):
so Ryan uh says that he thought this was a
brilliant idea and he has actually used AI technology to
introduce the world to encouraging words from Papa Greg. Funny
Boys Productions, Funny Boy's production. This is really creepy, it is,

(41:45):
and so uh those of you watching. First of all,
I don't talk that clear. It's way more clear than me,
it is. And uh, my mouth don't look like that
when I talk. No, well, teeth are wrong sometimes. But anyway,
so he has you over Pananti day Yeah a little bit. Yeah,
what you doing you But it's so so it says
encouraging words Papa Greg.

Speaker 5 (42:06):
Then right here this thing you can type a question
in and ask it yep, and then it gives you
an answer.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
It actually will answer you, which is really weird. So wow, Uh,
the the the website again, encouraging words from Papagreg dot
com from Funny Boy Productions.

Speaker 5 (42:23):
Oh goodness, so so let's give them.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Let's watch their little intro. It's only a minute. It's
only a minute plus. I will say, Greg, when you
do commercials.

Speaker 5 (42:32):
You try to do this.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
I watched you try to get your mouth you have
tom Yeah, yeah, called out.

Speaker 5 (42:39):
I do the same thing. All right. So here we're gown.
I think gay on King of the Hill. Hey, y'all,
something special is dropping just in time for my birthday week.
I'm talking about encouraging words from Papa Greg, a brand
new way for you to get the kind of pep
talk you didn't know you needed, the kind that lifts
you up just enough before setting you straight. This ain't
your grandma's daily devotion, and I ain't sitting in a

(42:59):
rock on a porch somewhere with Millian Leeley. This is
the burgess style mouthful of honesty, wrapped in just enough
sugar to make it go down, all with a little
modern AI flare. Now, if you're a true fan, you
know that I don't like puppet to human interaction. But
now you can get encouraging words from Papa Greg. A
fancy bit of technology that somehow managed to bottle up

(43:20):
my voice, my wit, and all my brutally honest wisdom
in one spot. You tell it what you need, encouragement
in marriage, parenting, work, self esteem, your sad little garden, whatever,
and Papa Greg will be there with some words that'll
sting a little and stick a lot. Think of it
as my birthday gift to you. You get the encouragement.
I get to say what everyone else is too polite

(43:40):
to tell.

Speaker 14 (43:40):
You.

Speaker 5 (43:40):
Click in talk to Papa Greg and get yourself some
real talk encouragement Greg Burgess style. And while you're here,
sign up to come run with me in the crap
run or donate to the foundation because cancer is crap.

Speaker 9 (43:52):
You like that?

Speaker 5 (43:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (43:53):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (43:54):
First of all, he sounds a lot better than the
real one. I mean, I wish my voice sounded like that.

Speaker 5 (43:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (43:59):
Yeah, kind of an accent sounds nicer to I gotta
be friends with that guy, yeah exactly.

Speaker 5 (44:04):
Yeah, he's actually smiling. That's one thing through me. I
knew what you because that's what made me feel weird.
It was my face hurts. You had teeth.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
That guy is way too joyful. Got kind of a
northern accent, got a bit of a northern accent, doesn't
doesn't sound exactly like you? Has anybody tapped into question, Adam,
can you talk one?

Speaker 5 (44:21):
Yeah, we're gonna ask Greg. Greg asked it prior to
the show as.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
To how I get don peanuts, and it just gave
me a long ramble about peanuts. Do you want to
ask it something?

Speaker 7 (44:32):
What should we ask?

Speaker 9 (44:33):
Like?

Speaker 5 (44:33):
Do men run in the ring? Can we do that?

Speaker 7 (44:36):
Should men run in the ring?

Speaker 5 (44:37):
Put that in there? Should run in the rain? Here
we go, all right, ask Papa gregs Papa Greg. And
let's see it's now it's blinkinking yep. Oh wow.

Speaker 7 (44:49):
Okay, we just read it.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
I thought it was he says it. Okay, so we
just read it.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Okay, okay, okay. I thought it was gonna if you're done,
get some exercise, okay, or just want to prove you're
tougher than a rainstorm.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Yeah there's real talk.

Speaker 7 (45:03):
Yeah that's but oh here's real talk.

Speaker 2 (45:06):
I'd say, no, okay, okay, I got you, Okay, all right, Running.

Speaker 7 (45:10):
In it just makes you wet and miserable. Okay, it's
not not too bad.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
I ask it if a stray dog birth puppies.

Speaker 5 (45:16):
What should you do? Okay, I need about it a
couple of years.

Speaker 7 (45:21):
Pregnant gray dogs.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
Yeah, see what it says.

Speaker 7 (45:26):
All right, should I keep a pregnant stray dog?

Speaker 5 (45:29):
Okay, that's blinking again.

Speaker 7 (45:31):
Well that's a tough question. But here's the straight talk.
If you got the heart to take care of her,
then yes, keep her.

Speaker 5 (45:36):
Wow, this is Greg. This is Greg's got a litter
on the way, and that's a lot of mouse. You
gotta be prepared for the mask, the cab. They're all
over that. Good night, Greg. Now she's she's not giving
love in return, she'll give you a return. Yeah, that
hasn't happened. Okay, By the way, I didn't even like you.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
By the way, this is not This is not Greg's
true heart, because Greg, if he if it wasn't for
his wife, it would not have gone the world. Know
how funny was it that you asked you questions and
it actually answered that is weird but strange.

Speaker 5 (46:06):
Yeah, when you're in a chat.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Funny boys did a good job. Mm hmm. Buddy Boy's productions. Uh,
somebody says, ask it. Why is George straight? Oh, that's
that's George straight. Is George Straight, the greatest country singer ever?
Oh okay, okay, see that we got it.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
We gotta ask this. I'll tell you whether it was
gonna brag on George. We're gonna.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
We're gonna if if he goes crazy and starts loving George.

Speaker 5 (46:29):
This, this is what he here.

Speaker 8 (46:31):
We ask, Papa Greg, is George Straight the greatest country
singer ever?

Speaker 4 (46:35):
Well?

Speaker 7 (46:36):
Now asking if you're asking, that's a tall order. He's
certainly up there. Heck, oh it does cuss, so it
does have that part, right.

Speaker 9 (46:44):
It does.

Speaker 5 (46:44):
That's funny. Great. How about this?

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Some folks wear by Marl Haggard. Others might say George
Jones those legs.

Speaker 5 (46:52):
George has a smooth voice, so you'd never say that
though George has.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
A smooth boe not made so easy. The greatest maybe
in some sure, but for me, as long as it's
it's got that good old boys soul. It's all part
of this.

Speaker 7 (47:03):
Now, okay, So just sit on the fence a little bit.

Speaker 9 (47:07):
Now.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
It doesn't know this website is dead. It doesn't know
my real opinions. But it hadn't had timing, no, I guess,
but it's still that's it's weird. I mean it's weird
and it's funny and it's a great idea. It's got
to learn more about Greg. It doesn't know enough about
Greg yet. What it's learning is it good?

Speaker 5 (47:25):
It doesn't know.

Speaker 8 (47:26):
And it used to be that you would have to
give like this AIAI voice modeling software program, like hours
of content in order for it to copy you.

Speaker 7 (47:35):
But that time is getting shorter and shorter.

Speaker 8 (47:37):
It used to be just podcast hosts and radio hosts
that had to worry about their voice being stolen. Now
all it takes is like thirty seconds of your voice,
and it can create create a pretty good voice model,
even modeling your your pattern, your speech patterns, your breathing patterns.

Speaker 9 (47:53):
All that.

Speaker 5 (47:54):
Wow, Wow, there you go. That's that's a softer Papa
Greg there. But it'll get meaner.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
They gotta give it more information, you know, what's that's
what's not there? Me as it's brother, if it had
me as his brother, be menor.

Speaker 1 (48:15):

(50:34):

did you get the Charles Barkley anytime I see Charles
Barkley's in the news? Hey, you know so Charles Barkley,
I don't know what he keeps adding. I guess fuel
to the fire. So those of you they talking about
the big women again. No, he's not talking about that.

Speaker 9 (50:53):
Greg.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
That apparently we've not apparently we've left that ap to you. Greg,
that's not true. But in Alabama, which is our our
home state, you know, our Senate one of our Senate
seats is now available because Tommy Tuberville, which a lot
of you have seen fighting in Washington all over the country,
has decided that he is going to run for the
governorship of Alabama and he will now vacate that seat

(51:19):
when his his time is up. Well, now that's you know,
we we've interviewed. It was forever other reasons, but you
remember us having Jared Hudson on the show. He's decided
he's going to run for that Senate seat. I think
Steve Marshall out of Alabama is going to run for
that seat, and I think Barry Moore is going to
run for that seat. And there's been some murmur that

(51:42):
that Bruce Pearl, you know, the the basketball coach at
Auburn University. Now why a win coach anymore? When did
this start?

Speaker 5 (51:50):
When did this murmur that he's right after the announcement,
that the rumor started online that hey, he should or
if he did, and that any kind of right in
the prime of his coaching career. I think, yeah, Well,
so Barkley was apparently asked about this. You know Barkley,
I'll have to say, I know that Barkley a lot
of times has been critical of the right politically, and

(52:13):
at times has been with the left, but then he'll
go back to the right.

Speaker 9 (52:16):
You know.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
It's just like everything else in Charles Charles's life, not
a lot of consistency. You don't know where this is going.
It's all in the moment. But he says he doesn't
want Bruce Pearl to run for Senate because he's made
Auburn basketball, you know, more competitive than it's been in
a very long time. And for us, it looks like
they're going to be competitive every year now to some degree.

(52:38):
They're they're they're consistently good now under under Bruce Pearl,
who is a great coach, no doubt, and a great man.
But Barkley says, I don't want him to leave the coaching,
but if he were to leave now, I would you
would assume with the things that Bruce Pearl says in
his worldview, you know, this means that Charles would openly

(52:58):
be endorsing a Republican. Uh. But he and he said,
if if Bruce were to decide to do this, he said,
I would support him one hundred percent.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
So uh.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
But so that's made the news. So that's made the news,
but he hopes that he won't. And and has anybody
heard Bruce Pearl say he's even considering that?

Speaker 5 (53:18):
Yeah, I don't think. He just came off a really
good season and it's got that thing rolling making making great.
He wants to win.

Speaker 8 (53:27):
He has to win it all your right money, right,
so he thinks he can win it all, wants to
win it all.

Speaker 5 (53:33):
Yeah, I think I think it's all it's out there
because you have you know, coach Senator Tuberville, who's he
got a former coach turned politician and and you know,
and then so but he wasn't at the height of
his career when he he wasn't he wasn't and you know, Uh,
Coach Pearl has been very outspoken. You know, he's uh
his support of Israel, and he's more recently and yeah,

(53:56):
because you know of what's going on and and that
the two twelve day war with Iran and Hammah. I mean,
so he's been very outspoken about that. So whenever Senator
Tuberville announced this, it was an obvious you know, let's
get that started rumor. Well, yeah, to y'all's points, I
haven't heard him say a word about doing that.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
Barkley said that even Pearl's support for Trump would not
bother him at all. He would still support him. And
you know, you have to go back to this anytime
you're dealing with the platform that you have. Let's let's
save like for Bruce Pearl, it's very obvious that his
passion is for standing up for Israel, anti Semitism, et cetera.

(54:38):
He's been very vocal about that, and he's he's in
line with how Trump has, you know, stood by Israel,
et cetera. But you have to ask this question. I'm
a very successful basketball coach that has a huge platform nationally.
As long as the team can stay good always in

(55:01):
the state of Alabama, you got it? Can you be
more impactful even you don't have to give up anything
as the basketball coach at Auburn if they stay you know,
in the hunt, and you know which means you become national.
At that point, you have a platform that's gigantic that
sometimes can be as big and in many ways bigger

(55:22):
than being a politician because you get to say what
you want to say, when you want to say it,
and you don't have to make any compromises to get
your way. That you always have to explain. I'm the
basketball coach. I've got the microphone. Let me ask you
how you feel about what happened. Like for instance, on
October seventh, when Israel was attacked, he had a platform

(55:44):
to say exactly a felt you don't really need to
be a senator to have a platform and to make
impact you in some ways, probably sometimes you're you're given
a bigger platform. I remember people used to always pressure
Rush Limbaugh to run for office, and he said, why,
I have more impact here, you know, you know, doing
this show than I would ever have as a politician.

(56:06):
You know, I feel the same way, same way about
the job we have.

Speaker 5 (56:09):
I would never want to.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
I think if you, if you know, you run for politics,
you're actually taking a step down from from the things
that we have access to say and do every day
to a to a large audience. So anyway, it's it's
not necessary for Bruce Pearl to stand with Israel in
the things he's passionate about. It's not necessary for him

(56:32):
to become a senator to have more impact.

Speaker 5 (56:34):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 8 (56:36):
Like you guys have mentioned, as long as he keeps winning,
he can pretty much do and say whatever he wants.

Speaker 2 (56:41):
Yes, yes he can. Now you you start losing politics, Yeah,
that's that's just the way that. Oh yeah, they'll drop
you as quick as they do. So anyway, So Barkley,
he made news like speed, he said today because he said, well,
if that word to happen, I'd be disappointed for the
Auburn basketball program, but I would support Bruce Pearl for

(57:02):
Senate no matter what. One hundred. So that's interesting. Now
that doesn't just surprise me though. Bottom of the hour,
we'll be back more than Rick Burgess show coming up.

Speaker 1 (57:17):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He has known Greg
Burgess for his entire life. Upset, Rick Burgess, we're back.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
Thank you America for being with us today as we
pushed through. Another one still to come. Hey, Gary will
be stopping by on his way to a big outdoor
expo coming up this weekend. Vox seats filling up later
Burgess Ball Battle, so we got that coming up a

(57:58):
little bit later on today as well. Maybe somebody else
can grab money off the wheel of bundles, bits and bucks.
So this today the new Superman movie. Now you know
the the Superman, and again I don't pay attention to it.
I guess like a lot of people don't. I don't

(58:20):
mind the superhero movie. I've enjoyed most of them. But
then I kind of cooled on when they were throwing
them at me too quick and they started to hit
me with with superheroes I didn't care about. And that's
that's when they lost me. You mean you didn't like
ant Man?

Speaker 5 (58:34):
No, I did not. I had no interest in ant
Man either, and I won't watch Superman past. Christopher reed,
what that's the news. I stopped whenever he stops.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
So there's a new Well, that's unfortunate because there's a
new Superman movie coming out starting today. But of course
politics are trying to ruin it. Yeah, I gave my point.
Let me tell you something. If I was an investor
that that had the kind of money to invest in
the these movies, I would be furious. I would be calling,

(59:04):
you know, the actress that did the snow White and
the bunch putting snow White together into my office. I
would call the Superman who is it? This is the
producer of the director. Who's the person that the director?
You know, you're turning Superman into an illegal immigrant movie?
I would I would lose my everloved mind, I would say, hey, hey,
can we just let people go to the theater and

(59:25):
watch the movie killing the Little cash cows Man.

Speaker 5 (59:30):
They usually just own it, so now you mess.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
But it's almost like the superhero movies, especially on the
Marvel side, they they the law of diminishing return. They
just kept cranking them out so fast, and it almost
got to the point where they thought, listen, people will
go see anything we throw out as long as it's Marvel.
Uh to a lesser degree d C. But it just started.

(59:56):
You know, on the DC side, we've had so many
Batman's even keep up with what.

Speaker 8 (01:00:01):
It is, and the whole thing was almost a flop
compared to what Marvel was able to get done with
their huge Avengers roll out the Justice League.

Speaker 5 (01:00:10):
Uh DC.

Speaker 8 (01:00:11):
A lot of a lot of people think DC kind
of just dropped the ball. It was just kind of
bland and great.

Speaker 5 (01:00:16):
Don't you think that?

Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
Back to the point, though, it just seems like they
just think if they put it out there and it
has these superheroes, everybody will go see it, even if
they don't really have a good screenplay, even if the
dialogue is not great or the story is not great,
and then like on once.

Speaker 8 (01:00:29):
You get to like thour four, you know, Love, Love
and Thunder three, You're like, okay, I don't know about
Love and thunder three to me.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
To me, every every spider Man movie I've seen was great.

Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
I like them.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
Every Avengers movie I saw was great. I will tell
you one that surprised me that I thought I would
hate was Guardians of the Galaxy. Those are great, I
thought I would have. I had no interest in that.
I just had one of the kids force me into
that one. Yeah, and I was like, wait, wow, that's good.

Speaker 8 (01:00:58):
I will say the Guardians movie, it's like when there's
too many people that are like you got a green guy,
a blue guy, and a red guy. It's like, I
need one guy that's like a normal guy. You know,
I need more normal people than weird people on the screen.
So I did not think I would like Guardians. But
it was good too, was pretty good too.

Speaker 5 (01:01:15):
Yeah, it wasn't bad.

Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
So anywhere to group you can't ask a question ahead. Yeah,
but then we hit things I didn't understand. I never
liked the doctor strange guy that that character doesn't interest me.
We're getting into these where there's these people that I
don't even know who.

Speaker 14 (01:01:31):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Captain Marvel was terrible. Uh, Captain America, Captain America, Marvel's
a chick.

Speaker 5 (01:01:38):
Yeah yeah, Captain America, Captain America pretty good.

Speaker 9 (01:01:42):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
But they started getting I didn't I didn't really want
to see them get at war with each other whatever.

Speaker 7 (01:01:47):
That one most civil war things. I didn't care for
that unnecessary side question.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
I didn't care for that. But so they're not all
a winner. But I was kind of hoping that this
Superman thing might be worth seeing. And I'm gonna I'm
not gonna lie and I'm not even saying it should.
This director is ruining it for me.

Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
Let me, let's talk about that real quick, because I
would love to know from the audience because some have
already gone and seen it, uh you know, maybe a
Thursday night show and or whatever. So you have these
these woke liberal reporters asking questions, and I want to
know for those that have seen it or read the reviews.

(01:02:26):
It's in the Superman movie it claims he's an illegal
aliens here or was it just the press going, well,
he would be a you know what I mean? Because
because text nagrative and says some of the conservative comic
book Movie Reviews says it's not a woke movie. It
was just the director's point of view in an in
an interview question, which is a little different.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Snow White actually was trying to do this, I think
probably even Superman himself look around going what do you
tell why are you doing this? Yeah, this is not
We didn't even we didn't even go there in the movie.
I will tell you the last Superman movie that they
made that I saw was really good. I mean even
the message of it. It had even a spiritual message
to it that that wasn't bad, right Greg, speaking of

(01:03:12):
Christopher Reeve, because that's the only Superman you acknowledge.

Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
I saw an old interview with him. I think it
was with the Letterman. I feel like ninety percent that
I I'm sure about that. How about this, he said
that working with Marlon Brando was a bad experience. Dad, Yeah,
because Letterman thought, let's talk about Marlon Brando and you
know what he basically said, I want you to hear this.

Speaker 5 (01:03:35):
He said he's lazy.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
Oh he said here he is one of the greatest
actors of all time, and he was phoning it in
and it bothered me. Yeah, he said, he's sitting there
and he's just living off his name. He gave us
that hard card. He gave us horrible effort. And I
couldn't believe how negative Christopher Reeve was being about Marlon
Brando in that movie.

Speaker 5 (01:03:55):
Yeah, he did.

Speaker 10 (01:03:55):
So.

Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
Christopher Reeve's like, now, I didn't care for it. I
didn't care for my interaction with him. Oh wow, thought
it was lazy. Thought he was phone into them. Wow wow,
I was really it was a shocking interview with Tim.

Speaker 5 (01:04:06):
So somebody said, here's the movies Superman's really good. It's
not about illegal immigrants. Okay, that was just saying the
SIF press core trying to be sharp. Yeah, and so
that's just well anyway. Because of that, and in honor
of the latest Superman movie coming out, they've put together
h Yahoo Entertainment, in conjunction with USA Today, the fifty

(01:04:27):
best Superhero movies of all time? What's the criteria. Now,
they didn't go highest grossing because one thing that came
out that's not in there, not the most popular. Yeah,
the best. One of the things that came out of
this is they said, first, let's just say this, the
Kings and queens of Hollywood are superhero movies. They're the
ones make the money that make the money. Out of

(01:04:48):
the ten highest grossing films domestically, four are comic book heroes, Avengers, Superman,
Black Panther, in Infinity War, Avengers, All those are the
top grossing domestically. But I won't bore you with fifty,
but we'll go with ten down. This is, according to them,

(01:05:09):
the best.

Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
And their criteria is just what they gross.

Speaker 5 (01:05:14):
Right, what they considered. I guess their entertainment writers and
everybody that got critics the ten best at number ten
and twenty eighteen, Black Panther good movie, good movie.

Speaker 15 (01:05:26):
A good movie.

Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
I mean, I wouldn'tay it was a bad movie. I
enjoyed it.

Speaker 5 (01:05:29):
I was entertained.

Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
I would not say top Sorry, I would not say
top ten, but I will not. I really I did
enjoy the movie.

Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
The second one was didn't watch you tough.

Speaker 5 (01:05:41):
Didn't watch you.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
I didn't think it warranted The second.

Speaker 7 (01:05:43):
One it was rough.

Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
It was so sad.

Speaker 7 (01:05:45):
The whole time they were just mourning the actual death
of the actual actor, and so it was.

Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
It was.

Speaker 7 (01:05:51):
It was long and rough.

Speaker 5 (01:05:53):
Didn't see that one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:54):
Number nine and twenty twelve, The Avengers, great fantastic movie.

Speaker 5 (01:05:59):
See you're our superhero guys.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
One of my one of my favorite superhero movies of
all time.

Speaker 7 (01:06:03):
Just Avengers one is phenomenal.

Speaker 5 (01:06:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
That should not be at number. No, that should not
be at nine. It should be higher.

Speaker 5 (01:06:08):
Great, Okay, Number eight in twenty sixteen, Captain America Civil War.
See I get confused because.

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
They're so it was the one where they fire.

Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
It's all right? Number seven, twenty eighteen, Spider Man into
the Spider Verse. Love it.

Speaker 7 (01:06:23):
Those animated Spider Man's are Oh who was that?

Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
The animated one?

Speaker 7 (01:06:26):
That's I don't watch those. I gotta say good.

Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
No, No, I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying
I can't.

Speaker 7 (01:06:33):
Watch it better, honestly to me, those those an say it,
don't you say? Into the Spider Verse, all.

Speaker 8 (01:06:38):
Those those animated ones are better than the live action
ones that we're seeing.

Speaker 5 (01:06:42):
You're wrong.

Speaker 4 (01:06:43):
You haven't seen it nearly.

Speaker 5 (01:06:45):
I can't watch a cartoon. I can't watch it. You
want to know what y'all want to know?

Speaker 14 (01:06:49):
What?

Speaker 5 (01:06:50):
Is it exploding?

Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
Or these animes? The movie anime is huge weird.

Speaker 8 (01:06:54):
Yeah, anime is huge weird for me, Rick, I'm telling you,
I know it sounds crazy, but the animated Spider Man's
that came out in the last you know, five years
or whatever, the full length movies are good movies.

Speaker 7 (01:07:06):
That sounds crazy, But you said better than the live
Actually the kid actors bother me.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
You're telling me it's better than the time that all
the actors who played Spider Man I'll end up in
one movie and we don't figure know why.

Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
But I liked I was entertained by it.

Speaker 8 (01:07:19):
I actually didn't see the one where Toby Maguire and
Peter all the all the Okay, I have not seen
that one. So you and I are talking about things
we haven't seen. I'm not seeing that one. I've seen
the other two before that, because there were in that
the third one in the in the line of.

Speaker 5 (01:07:32):
The new boot reboot, probably think so number six nineteen
eighty nine, the just Batman.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Didn't see it? Is that the original?

Speaker 13 (01:07:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:07:43):
Yeahel Keaton, Michael Keaton.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
No, that's not what I don't think that's right, right.

Speaker 7 (01:07:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, And that's with what's his name is
the joker there?

Speaker 5 (01:07:51):
It is Jack Nicholson. Is that the nineteen eighty nine Batman.

Speaker 7 (01:07:54):
Okay, then yeah, Keaton, Kim Basinger, that was a good one.

Speaker 5 (01:07:58):
Yeah, is it bas I actually saw that?

Speaker 7 (01:08:00):
Is it Bassinger or basing Either one works.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
She did not buy a town in Georgia, by the way,
she got investors to buy it and it ruined her
her career.

Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
But go ahead. Number five in the top fifty. It
says here twenty nineteen Avengers Endgame. Great Avengers game is outstanding. Yeah, boy,
y'all two really are into that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
Avengers.

Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
It's fantastic. Sorry, budd, I don't know where any Twenty
fourteen number four is Guardians of the Gallax.

Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
Fantastic that I already said that fantastic movie we just discussed.

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):

Speaker 7 (01:08:31):
Not waiting, okay, Maike miss way different.

Speaker 8 (01:08:34):
By the way, James Gunn did Guardians of the Galaxy
one and two. He directed those. He's also the guy
that directed the new Superman movie that's coming out right now.

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
I heard them.

Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
Somebody somebody put that on Textonation's good number three from
twenty fourteen. Captain America The Winter Soldier.

Speaker 7 (01:08:49):
Winter Soldier Movie, Barely Remember It?

Speaker 5 (01:08:51):
Good movie number two from two thousand and eight the
Dark Knight didn't see it? And number one nineteen seventy eight.
Superman the movie There You Go is number one, and
the movies when he flew around and made the Earth. Yeah,
and this come along way on special effects. But good movie.
With fifty best superhero movies of all time. That was

(01:09:13):
the top ten.

Speaker 7 (01:09:15):
Where's Dark Night?

Speaker 10 (01:09:16):
I gave it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:17):
I gave it a number two. Where were you you're playing?
Did your mind?

Speaker 7 (01:09:22):
I was trying to google the names of the movies.

Speaker 5 (01:09:24):
So this listen this, and that's fine. But boy with
a geek fast with his head? Yeah? Was Superman coming
out this weekend? They put that. That's why they put the.

Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
Next segment Dungeons and Dragons, believe they or not? In entertainment,
there's a world outside of the summer. I became pretty
in the Virgin River. Yeah, and yes, and thousand pounds
and the Smoking the band yeah right, and Boop Cruise Yes,
and and and my head's big or whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Else is the Rick Burtish, Oh, this is what Trump

(01:10:15):
had in mind when he sought to make America great again.
The Rick Butcher's Show.

Speaker 5 (01:10:21):
All right, we already be seeing Gary here before too long.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):

Speaker 5 (01:10:26):

we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
H Gary should be with us coming up next hour.
Uh so by the way, uh text Nation, I agree?
Have you already put the list up?

Speaker 11 (01:10:39):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
No, I got where's the original iron Man? That doesn't
make the time to him? The original iron Man? Greg,
this is back to the greatest rock songs in it.
Let's see here the original Iron Man with Robert Downey Jr.

Speaker 7 (01:10:52):
It's fantastic. It's what started everything.

Speaker 2 (01:10:54):
The original I mean, the original Iron Man's a fantastic got.

Speaker 7 (01:10:57):
The whole Marvel thing going.

Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:11:00):
Wow, I'm sitting here looking I'm up to twenty two
now what Wow? This haven't got x Man in here
for them?

Speaker 9 (01:11:09):
No?

Speaker 5 (01:11:09):
Uh, this's haven't got Lego Batman? No, no, something thanks
better than the real action wonder Woman said iron Man
twenty two thousand and eight comes it at thirty seven thirty.
That's top ten, just below RoboCop.

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
Wow, robocopun that.

Speaker 5 (01:11:29):
Have you ever watched any of the Hell Boys? No stuff,
I haven't either.

Speaker 7 (01:11:33):
I watched the first one.

Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (01:11:35):
I don't do that.

Speaker 7 (01:11:35):
It's it's dark, is it?

Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
That's why I like, no, boy, he'll do he likes
our dark things.

Speaker 7 (01:11:42):
No, I like dark Knight to the emails we go
and dark chocolate. Hey, what's the words?

Speaker 2 (01:11:53):
So Kayla is saying, Hey bird, Hey bird. Kayla tails
from Valdosta, Georgia. So Valdosta checking in, Hey Birch. After
yesterday's discussion on the show about the return of McDonald's
snack wraps, oh yeah, apparently one of the greatest moments

(01:12:13):
in fast food history, I found myself in town around lunchtime,
so I decided to give them a goat. I was
never crazy about them in the past, but thought i'd
give them a fair shot this go round due to
all the hype, and to be honest, any excuse to
also get some McDonald's fries always a pretty good idea.
I'll agree with that McDonald's does have the best fries.

(01:12:35):
I decided to go with the spicy rap okay with
with crispy chicken. At first bite, pleasantly surprised the chicken
was fresh, crisp had a good flavor. About halfway through,
I was finally starting to pick up some of the spice,
which again was pretty good. However, by the last few bites,

(01:12:55):
things quickly took a turn for the worst. The burning
s from the spicy sauce slowly worked its way down
the back of my throat and down to my esophagus
and into the lining of my stomach, and I kid
you not, it truly felt like I was being set
on fire. I was almost in tears, drinking all the

(01:13:16):
water I could find, and even drove to the nearest
drug store to get some anti acid to hopefully coat
the lining of my stomach and stop the burning. I
have never had issues with spicy food or heartburn in
my life, but this little snack wrap did me in.
My first thought after I caught my breath and my
eyes stopped watering, was that I must send Heyburg an email.

(01:13:40):
Count me out for these for the foreseeable future. Hopefully
this will serve as a warning for all the listeners
and viewers if you're sensitive as spicy things, this ain't
the way to go.

Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
Well now, let me ask you this.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
You don't have to order one spice No, that's right,
she's warning about the spoty Okay, because I didn't know this.
Lisa's a big fan of these wraps, and she we
were trying to figure out yesterday she said they do have.

Speaker 5 (01:14:03):
Grilled I thought they did. Yeah, okay, it didn't have
it in the article, but I think by the end
of the segment we had figured out.

Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
These are the ones that Vicky and a Rabbery is eating.
The other one just a grilled Popeyes. You know there's
a rap war going on. I knew that, at least
informula that I didn't know. This person is trying to
give people a warning that the spicy apparently is the
real good spicery.

Speaker 5 (01:14:24):
It's been thinking about it. She's probably holding it all
the spice work to the bottom. Oh yes, then when
she got to the bottom, it was piled up down there. Yep.
On the behalf of the show, are you going to
Troy one? Yeah? Oh e one.

Speaker 2 (01:14:33):
Okay, thanks for the fantastic new show. I enjoy it, Kaylakayla,
thank you for the warning. So remember she's not saying
the snack wrap is bad. She's said I didn't I'm
I thought I was pretty savvy with spicy food, so
I didn't check up on the spicy and I regretted it.
And I think Greg, you are onto something. I think

(01:14:54):
the spice is running if you're holding a wrap up
especially if you're.

Speaker 5 (01:14:58):
Driving or something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
It's probably all running down creating a pretty powerful last
few boits like she just experienced.

Speaker 5 (01:15:05):
Like if you're a speed eater like us, yes, you
would have it eight before. That's true. She probably a
slow eater.

Speaker 2 (01:15:11):
Yep, yeah, just guessing. And I understand what people are
saying that spicy usually mean spicy. But I do know
that we are living in a time that people don't listen.
But she does say spicy. But she said, I normally
don't have any problems, so she was good going in.
This was something unique that happened. I'm trying to give

(01:15:31):
people a warning about you. I know, we can't all
follow a narrative a way.

Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
Who made that?

Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
Whoever made the rap man? Put too much on there?

Speaker 5 (01:15:39):
Yeah, you don't know word of caution. I mean there's
potential there for you to get burnt.

Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
Right. Where are you on spicy? Like see, I've never
ever in my entire life if there's a spicy option,
I'll never pick it. Now, I don't mind it if
they'll go to a point of spicy, But then you
go to a point where it's so hot you can't
When I say how I'm talking about spicy hot hot.

Speaker 5 (01:16:05):
Yeah, that you can't eat it, you know what I'm saying.
It stops you and you have to like she's claiming,
happened to her. She said she had to drink a
bunch of water whatever milk. I like spicy up to
a point, but I don't want to be like the
reaper pepper and like that.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
I don't want to struggle while I eat. Back to
another film, enjoy it another. I do like spice, but
if I met your fast food place at Chick fil a,
even McDonald's has this option or whatever it may be,
and you've got a chicken sandwich or you could have
the spicy chicken sandwich.

Speaker 5 (01:16:33):
I'm never going with a spot.

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Oh I do Chick fil a? Sp I love It's
not over hun no, no, it's perfect.

Speaker 4 (01:16:40):
I don't like.

Speaker 1 (01:16:40):
I don't like that.

Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
I don't I don't like that world.

Speaker 17 (01:16:43):
Oh I do.

Speaker 8 (01:16:44):
The hottest I go is like, you know, kind of
middle of you got that Scoville scale. The highest I
want to get is like your your tie peppers, cayenne, pepper, cayenne.
It's the highest I'll go.

Speaker 7 (01:16:56):
This is crazy. After that, you just be a crazy person.

Speaker 5 (01:16:59):
Don't eat the rink the ghost Paler knows.

Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
Top of the hour, this is the Rick Burgess Show.

Man church, and you know it's going to be interesting
to go there. Adlers tell me about that famous hotel
that people can tell me there's you know, outstanding fried
chicken there, And I guess I can ask Garaf wants

(01:19:00):
to go because Gary is is here there.

Speaker 5 (01:19:04):
In the right there dress already there's old gear.

Speaker 15 (01:19:10):
I had to cut that collar out of this and
it's too tight.

Speaker 5 (01:19:16):
We made the design them that way. That's a good look.
That's good for you, hanging your shades right there? Got you?
Rick Bird? Just show T shirt on no sleep?

Speaker 9 (01:19:22):
No?

Speaker 15 (01:19:22):
I thought I lost it, did you?

Speaker 11 (01:19:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (01:19:24):
I never found it.

Speaker 5 (01:19:26):
How did you lose it?

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 15 (01:19:28):
I forgot what color it was. I wanted everything in
the drawer.

Speaker 5 (01:19:33):
You look at them.

Speaker 15 (01:19:33):
Dogs was laying on yeah, dogs laying on it, cats
on it.

Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
So yeah, looking forward, before we go any further, before
we go any further. Uh, you want to go with
me to Talison?

Speaker 15 (01:19:46):
Where's that at?

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
It's Elmore County in Alabama. When is that Sunday night?

Speaker 15 (01:19:53):
Mm hmmm. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:19:55):
You think you can behave if well? Went back to me?

Speaker 15 (01:19:57):
I don't know mm hmm, I might just go sit
in the car or something.

Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
Okay, Well that's nice, go with him and sit in
the car, all right. Also, I want I want to
ask you this. Okay, do you think you can sit
here and not look at the text there? Because I
know you got feelings hurt last time you were here?

Speaker 15 (01:20:15):
Oh no, I don't bother me.

Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
Somebody said some negative didn't they hurt you?

Speaker 5 (01:20:19):
We do that? Who doesn't love get hurts you.

Speaker 15 (01:20:21):
There's a lot of people don't like me.

Speaker 5 (01:20:23):
I's wrong with them? Did it hurt your feelings?

Speaker 15 (01:20:26):
Really?

Speaker 5 (01:20:27):
Mm hmm? I mean nobody likes a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
No, nobody likes it. Well, I get it a lot, Well,
we all do. Just know that there's people that don't
like all.

Speaker 5 (01:20:37):
They don't like that.

Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
There's people that don't like us, any of us. Now,
it is weird that they still listen every day or
watch which is but.

Speaker 15 (01:20:46):
I can't understand if they don't like it what they're
listening for.

Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Right, and if it's things I don't like, I normally
don't know what they're doing.

Speaker 15 (01:20:53):
You know, I say something on TV. If I don't
like it, I don't watch it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
Right And then and then you have people that like
the show, but there's individual jewels that they don't like.

Speaker 15 (01:21:01):
Oh you're gonna have them.

Speaker 5 (01:21:02):
Right, and that's okay. You know, you just have to
live with it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:06):
And so I just want you to know that if
you come into the public arena, you know, it's not
always roses.

Speaker 15 (01:21:13):
You and me say something body, now, well just just
want you.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
I'm looking up her right now and they say welcome back, Gary,
and they love you, love you to everywhere.

Speaker 15 (01:21:22):
You know, you're gonna have one or two that's you know,
want to act.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Like, all right, that's good year, that's a nice edit.

Speaker 5 (01:21:30):
So are you going to this expo in Birmingham?

Speaker 15 (01:21:32):
Now, I'm gonna go up for maybe a couple of
hours in the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
It's three days longer.

Speaker 15 (01:21:37):
You're gonna be there three days. I can tell you
that right now.

Speaker 2 (01:21:40):
Don't you have your Gary? This one full day?

Speaker 5 (01:21:44):
Everybody's be walking around hound to his booth, going where
you at? Gary?

Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
Well, I don't know, are you going like you're not
even gonna give them a sample of how it works?

Speaker 15 (01:21:53):
Or well if they want to, will you know, I
don't care about setting a whole lot of them.

Speaker 8 (01:21:58):
I know you worn out Look, Gary, they got you
on the poster, buddy, that you're on the big fish there.

Speaker 5 (01:22:03):
I see, Gary, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:22:05):
That is mate, he's grappling.

Speaker 12 (01:22:07):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (01:22:07):
So look looks there somewhere's roadside Willie. I figured you'd
be in the booth with him.

Speaker 5 (01:22:12):
Do you think that's Hannah?

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
I thought it was an unspoken law that you and
roll Tide Willie couldn't be in the same arena.

Speaker 15 (01:22:17):
Oh, they won't let two rednecks get together.

Speaker 5 (01:22:19):
Left that let's explode. Y'all's booths are kind of close together.
I bet you'll feed off each other's energy.

Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
Well, it'll be fun, but for two hours, for two hours,
two hours, you're gonna you're gonna to bt two hours
to it.

Speaker 5 (01:22:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (01:22:35):
I tried to get him come by and just pick
him up. Now would he meant to go?

Speaker 5 (01:22:38):
But well I ain't that.

Speaker 15 (01:22:41):
He don't got me one of them tags go on
my shirt, So I guess I'll go.

Speaker 5 (01:22:44):
You're gonna wear our staff shirt?

Speaker 15 (01:22:46):
No, I ain't wearing it?

Speaker 4 (01:22:48):
Why not?

Speaker 5 (01:22:48):
What?

Speaker 18 (01:22:49):
Gary?

Speaker 5 (01:22:49):
He's a shame right? What are you ashamed? I thought
you wanted it so you can wear that.

Speaker 15 (01:22:53):
You got to get cussed out up there?

Speaker 5 (01:22:55):
Why would you get cussed outright? I don't know.

Speaker 15 (01:23:01):
We'll do something.

Speaker 5 (01:23:02):
Would you do something?

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
Were you were you a tempt Greg brought up earlier,
mister talking about things that were a little bit setbacks
for you. Will you try a peanut brittle again for us?

Speaker 5 (01:23:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (01:23:14):
When it warmed up, I mean when it cools off
warming up, we're good.

Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
Yeah, he had one bad.

Speaker 15 (01:23:20):
I'm telling you what.

Speaker 5 (01:23:21):
And you didn't really have what you needed for that bat.
So we'll just we'll forget that.

Speaker 15 (01:23:27):
I thought, I want you keep bringing it up because
we want it.

Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
Yeah, because until you make a new and that's all
we can think about.

Speaker 9 (01:23:33):
What we do.

Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
Broke three teeth, I thought Greg. I thought the way
Greg acted about it was a little mean.

Speaker 15 (01:23:38):
Yeah it was. You know, he throwed it in the
garbage kin.

Speaker 5 (01:23:42):
But you know I saw it.

Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Uh, I see you got a little tan.

Speaker 15 (01:23:47):
You weren't like I do. Outside. You're gonna get ten.

Speaker 5 (01:23:51):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (01:23:52):
You ever had any problems with skin cancer or anything?

Speaker 15 (01:23:55):
No, I just you know, clip them off, whatever them off. No,
I ain't never had no problem with that.

Well, if you live there, you know, right you everybody? Yeah,
well you know, I don't care nothing about that, you.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):

It was a female and she just got up went inside. Yeah,
but that's all is She usually a pretty good neighbor. Yeah,
she stays on her side and I stay on mine.

Speaker 5 (01:26:39):
You got to see her chopping wood. It's amazing you
to no, it was a hang on, man, we're not
done yet. Let's talk a little more. Did you ever
get in the house?

Speaker 15 (01:26:49):
I mean, yeah, in the wonder and got in the
high house. And next morning I finally got my door
open good. I had to bust in my wonder.

Speaker 2 (01:26:59):
I wish I could.

Speaker 5 (01:27:01):
When did you make a mistake or start thinking.

Speaker 15 (01:27:03):
Well, I thought I didn't have something for a while,
that's your first mistake.

Speaker 1 (01:27:09):
Is the Rick Burgess Show. Go behind the scene of
the Rick Burchase Show by watching Tales from the Camp
House No on the Rick Burgess YouTube channel.

Speaker 5 (01:27:32):
Tells from the Camp House starring Gary himself.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
I mean, hey, and so, if you haven't caught those
five episodes of there on our YouTube channel, are you,
by any chance in a situation where you need to
sell a house fast? You know scenarios like, hey, I
just found out the company's moving me and hey, I
gotta go. Hey wife, I know you got to get
kids gathered, get this thing ready to go. We gotta

(01:27:56):
get it sold. Sell my house fast could help. Maybe
even inherited a house that you weren't counting on, and
maybe it's a little rundown. They'll even do repairs, they'll
move things out that need to be moved out. Maybe
you are a landlord and you're kind of done with
dealing with this tenant our tenants, and you just want
to sell it. Whatever the case may be, sell my

(01:28:17):
house fast. You won't pay any commission to a real
estate agent, and they get it done. They give you
a fair price for the house, they handle all the
hassles that go with it. They close fast. They've got
five star Google reviews everywhere, so they do a great job.
Call them today. Let's get this burden off of you
and get yourself some cash. One eight hundred seventy three

(01:28:39):
four is zero five zero four eight hundred seven three
four five four are going to Rick Burgess show dot
com under sponsors and they're right there. So, speaking of homes, Gary,
I know that we've had some We've had some issues,
haven't we.

Speaker 15 (01:28:56):
Oh it's been terrible.

Speaker 2 (01:28:58):
So what what Greg was even trying to ask me
about this? What happened at the farmhouse involving this meter?

Speaker 13 (01:29:05):
And and what what?

Speaker 5 (01:29:06):
What wasation?

Speaker 15 (01:29:07):
You know, the lugs on the back of the meter
that you made her plugs into. One of them fused out.
You were bad, bad, well the box Yeah it liked
to burn the house down. Oh yeah, yeah it was awful.
But uh, I got over trying to uh call well

(01:29:30):
the uh I called the art conditioned guy. I was
going to do some work on the air condition well
it wasn't no power. So I went over there, and uh,
I called the power company and well co op and
you know it's all automated stuff now, yeah, and you

(01:29:52):
know they referenced it with your telephone number and they
said it is this your address? That the powers situations that?
And I was saying no, and I was talking to
a you know, computer or whatever, and I said I
need to talk to a human being and I said it, yeah,

(01:30:14):
I need to tell you, and then somebody else got
on there and it sounded like being laud and sister,
and I couldn't. I'm telling you, I just hung up.
I said, I called it. I said, you don't have
to call down there. I said, I can't talk to
these people. And uh, he said that on the way,

(01:30:35):
you know, call me back. They be on the way.
I was sitting there forty five minutes waiting on them.

Speaker 5 (01:30:40):
Was it hot?

Speaker 15 (01:30:41):
Oh it was hot. Air condition wasn't working in the house. Lights,
whatn't on?

Speaker 2 (01:30:47):
I'm telling you what, Yeah, I was, I don't know what.

Speaker 15 (01:30:51):
That's the first one now, but what's the first one?

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
But why didn't you call me to come help. You're
gonna change meter? So get him change meter?

Speaker 15 (01:30:59):
Sid Yeah, he trying you made her sock that?

Speaker 2 (01:31:01):
Yeah you don't think I'm I could have helped you
with that?

Speaker 5 (01:31:04):
Yeah, Gary, he thinks his handy here, I'm telling you,
screwdriver wouldn't have jump.

Speaker 15 (01:31:10):
He can't even crank a power saw.

Speaker 2 (01:31:13):
What are you talking about? I wanna tell you as
soon as I get my my saw out of starts
right up.

Speaker 15 (01:31:19):
It's one of them battery ones.

Speaker 5 (01:31:21):
Yeah, get a lot of cutting in on that.

Speaker 15 (01:31:24):
But that was that was the first That was the
first thing.

Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
You know, you're not gonna tell him about that that
you're sitting there. Went through all this process and the
part we needed was sitting right now. Are you don't
want to you don't want throw him on the bus.

Speaker 15 (01:31:36):
No, I ain't gonna throw him on the bus. But
he worked on it, tried to rig something up. You
know that would work because you know, see hey, but anyway,
what uh you know he tried to rig something up.
He didn't have a grinder on his truck, so he
foughtered me to my house use my grinder and come
back over there. And we were standing there and he
was working trying to get the log fixed and everything new,

(01:32:02):
and uh, I just reached over there and picked up
something on the back of the truck. I said, one,
can't you use this right here? He said, where did
you get that at? I said, what's the later? Throwing
back you drug? He said, well, that's exactly what we need. So,
you know, so then the next five minutes it was put.

Speaker 2 (01:32:23):
On and it was working, so you didn't need to
do all that grind or not. Now waste a lot
of time, you can.

Speaker 5 (01:32:29):
How many hours you waste that day?

Speaker 15 (01:32:30):
About three hours?

Speaker 5 (01:32:32):
All right?

Speaker 15 (01:32:33):
So and then the next what was it last week?
That was week before last?

Speaker 2 (01:32:37):
No, I think it was like Monday of this week.

Speaker 5 (01:32:39):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 15 (01:32:40):
Monday this week, but it was last week when we
had to fix it up. Well, I was over bush hogging.

Speaker 5 (01:32:48):
It's hard work, isn't it.

Speaker 15 (01:32:50):
Oh yeah, it's tough. And I hit one of the
telephone polls out there with my bush hog on them.

Speaker 5 (01:32:57):
I don't care, Okay, you told me.

Speaker 15 (01:33:01):
I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:33:02):
I think now that you're yeah, he kind of he's
bold now that he's clear, because he thought he'd done it.

Speaker 15 (01:33:08):
You know. The pole started wiggling and the lines was
banging together out there, and kick a little bit. I
went on about five hours, I went home and UH
air conditioning guy said hey, he said, ain't no power
on nowhere. I said, oh my goodness. So I went
over there, looked around the fuse boxes, walked around the

(01:33:31):
telephone poles to see if any of the breakers was
trips you know, hm, and everything looked So I called Rick.
He said, I don't know what it is. I said, well,
you're gonna have to call them because I'm gonna have
to go through all that again.

Speaker 5 (01:33:47):
I wouldn't do that to you.

Speaker 15 (01:33:48):
No, But in a little while he said, hey, I
got it resolved. I got it fixed. I said, what
do you do? I'm sitting here in the truck. Ain't
nobody been here? I said, well, I had to pay bill.
They cut the dog on power off because they hadn't
paid the bill.

Speaker 5 (01:34:05):
Wow, no, I tell me right.

Speaker 15 (01:34:09):
Well that's what I understood. If the bill been paid,
the power wouldn't have been off.

Speaker 5 (01:34:15):
The bill was very all right. So Gregory, you'll know
this delanguente.

Speaker 7 (01:34:19):
This is Greg's word world at the farm, delinquency.

Speaker 5 (01:34:24):
You know, it's not all one one thing.

Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
Every meter has got a separate be There's four meters
down there because you got the barn, you got the pump,
you got what else? And then you've got two houses,
these the two little camp house and the little farmhouse.
And that's so they'll for each me. So that's four
different bills. So what I do is I tally them
all up, and I sent in one check with all
the invoices in there, which I had done and it

(01:34:47):
had cleared, and I got into I got the invoice
for this month that I've already paid, and it cleared again.
There was nothing on the invoice that said, hey, one
of them wasn't right, or you're a little off on
one of them.

Speaker 5 (01:34:58):
Nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:34:59):
I don't get a call, I get nothing. So going
back through it, they said, adding it all up, but
certainly I can get the math on it was sixty
four dollars off. And they counted that sixty four dollars
deficit to that meter and they cut it off. And
I was like, wow, that was a that seemed extreme.
Notify you or anything. Now, didn't notify me nothing, and

(01:35:21):
so quick. Yeah, and plus it was not you know,
it wasn't like you didn't send it in what you
sent in your your Apparently I didn't add them upright.
I don't know but the next invoice came that didn't
say we're carrying over your deficit from the last but nothing,
no indication of anything being wrong, and both checks clearing.
So I don't I don't know they you know you

(01:35:42):
threw me under the bush rightfully, so, but they I
think it was a little more complicated that.

Speaker 5 (01:35:47):
Matter of fact, they're not real sure. Wine got cut off? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:35:53):

Speaker 5 (01:44:14):
Jackie and you know so you don't.

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
You don't watch Niggar and Frey.

Speaker 15 (01:44:19):
No, that's that's all. You don't made up stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
We continue Rick Bergers Show, unscreen phone calls, Go.

Speaker 6 (01:44:27):
Ahead, Yeah, yeah, I just won't know if y'all know
McDonald's was bringing back that snack wrap.

Speaker 2 (01:44:36):

Speaker 5 (01:44:40):
It's back, baby, Hey, go.

Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
Ahead, you're on the Rick Birder Show. Unscreen phone calls.

Speaker 5 (01:44:44):
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:44:46):
I was gonna tell Gary, Uh, the one thing that
I regret the most in life, I won't see if
he might know what.

Speaker 2 (01:44:54):
It is, the one thing you regret more than in life.
Gary's supposed to know this, Ye, you're gonna.

Speaker 4 (01:45:00):
Get most in life. What is I regret that?

Speaker 6 (01:45:03):
I regret that I didn't listen to my daddy?

Speaker 5 (01:45:06):
All right? All right about what could you be specific?

Speaker 15 (01:45:11):
Well, you probably didn't listen to them.

Speaker 5 (01:45:14):
Well, now, if you weren't listening, you probably don't know.

Speaker 15 (01:45:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:45:19):
He was supposed to say, well, what did your daddy say?
And then I'll say, well, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:45:23):
I didn't listen. That's im Gary. This question was was
asked yesterday amongst us. If you had to be naked
and afraid with one staff member here, who would it be?
I don't say.

Speaker 15 (01:45:40):
I don't even play that game.

Speaker 5 (01:45:42):
Okay, that's that's why now they blurre your butt out.
We're just trying to survive.

Speaker 15 (01:45:47):
Gary, Well, I don't I don't know, I don't know who.
Probably just rather be mamaself.

Speaker 5 (01:45:55):
All right, then.

Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
Attend, Remember you don't like afraid, I'm scared.

Speaker 15 (01:46:04):
All right, we're gonna we're gonna come back.

Speaker 5 (01:46:06):
Yeah, there's there's there's.

Speaker 15 (01:46:11):
Now don't they look like when he gets older?

Speaker 7 (01:46:15):
Does that doesn't look like me?

Speaker 8 (01:46:17):
That man looks like He was notoriously known from looking
like a weirdo freak, and y'all are saying he looks
like Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:46:24):
He's the Rick Burgess Show, the man who removed the
phrase what's your new good from society Rick pooches.

Speaker 5 (01:46:49):
All Right, the box seats they're building outside the door,
so they'll be coming in.

Speaker 2 (01:46:53):
They'll get a brief interaction with Garrett. Uh, you can
see Gary this weekend in Birmingham, Alabama at the Big
Deer at the World Dear Expo. And then what's gone?
And uh, I believe, And you're gonna be there tomorrow. Yeah,
a couple of hours for a couple of hours.

Speaker 5 (01:47:10):
A couple of hours, okay, so it take you longer
to drive there, then you're gonna stay. Oh yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (01:47:18):
So I hate driving.

Speaker 9 (01:47:20):
I know that.

Speaker 2 (01:47:21):
It seems like this is random. Today Gary's going to
the expo, just stopping by, brought up Jackie. Yeah, good
to see Gary. But there's Gary's here for a reason.

Speaker 5 (01:47:33):
Two.

Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
And I don't want, you know, I just want you'all.
I want let's say we got to clear there about something.

Speaker 15 (01:47:40):
Yeah, you know, I've been thinking about it. I don't
think I won't be back up here anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:47:45):
Don't go down.

Speaker 15 (01:47:46):
Yeah I'm doing no what no, w you gotta have you? Yeah,
I'm just joking.

Speaker 5 (01:47:54):
Okay, oh darn you want the way you're looking at me?

Speaker 11 (01:47:57):
Something?

Speaker 5 (01:47:58):
What is it? What you know? Speed?

Speaker 20 (01:48:00):
You know?

Speaker 15 (01:48:02):
You know I think a lot of you there, Speedy.

Speaker 5 (01:48:05):
Oh gosh, signed to you to come back to Jackie.

Speaker 15 (01:48:12):
You know you know the trip you went over there to.
Uh yeah, yeh see Larry, Yeah, Carolyn, I mean you
enjoy it. I knew you would. Oh yeah, they're not
They're not my kind of pace drivers a little far,
but not while I was there. They my type people.
You know, I don't mind.

Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
Well, y'all got that podcast coming up.

Speaker 5 (01:48:33):
But you know that Arry, Larry and Garry, Garry and Larry.

Speaker 15 (01:48:36):
You know that that text you got from my guy,
huh you know the text you got from a guy
about going over there.

Speaker 7 (01:48:49):
Before you took the trip, you got a weird text
seeing remember.

Speaker 2 (01:48:53):
They said they got your number for somebody and that.

Speaker 5 (01:48:55):
They were Oh yes, was that you was wary? Did
did it?

Speaker 15 (01:49:14):
Body?

Speaker 2 (01:49:15):
Well?

Speaker 5 (01:49:16):
He was talking about it. That was He's like, I
don't know what this is about.

Speaker 15 (01:49:20):
You had this all like really worse yes, well you
you can't say nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:49:25):
I didn't. I read it out loud down there fiction
stuff at the farm.

Speaker 7 (01:49:29):
I read it.

Speaker 5 (01:49:31):
He read that loud. I read I read it out loud,
and I was like what And then when the person responded,
spotted kind of just like I didn't have a lot
of information.

Speaker 15 (01:49:39):
I just wanted to get you a little nervous.

Speaker 5 (01:49:41):
Whose phone was it that you were? You?

Speaker 15 (01:49:43):
I can't, I can't go into that.

Speaker 2 (01:49:45):
Well, you said, let me see your phone so I
can text spabe. Are you from Georgia?

Speaker 9 (01:49:49):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:49:49):
What is your deal? What's wrong with you? Connected everywhere?
You can do it. When it comes to pranking, He's
got all kinds of resources. He tried to scare me
not to go over there. Yes, they were cousins or something.
It was fake information and the house was just asked
that you wouldn't want to lay down in the oh yeah, yes,

(01:50:09):
and he just he lived close by, did some work there.
And let me tell you something. You do not want
to go And it's like, what is the worlds wanted
to get under you? Ski, Well you did.

Speaker 15 (01:50:19):
Let me.

Speaker 2 (01:50:19):
Gary went as far as to come contact somebody he
knew with the same area code in that area of
Georgia to start to start texting Speedy warning him not
to go over to and they portrayed it like they
had been there doing work for Sky and Speedy was like,
look at this and we're all watching it. And that

(01:50:41):
was Gary the whole time.

Speaker 5 (01:50:42):
Yeah, And we were even strategizing about, well, I'm gonna
ask a question if they're vague, I just want what
about did you make up the questions or whoever did it?
Because one of them was that they're faking it. They're
really cousins, they're not married. Yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah,
you said that Larry and Carolyn were cousins, which.

Speaker 15 (01:51:02):
I knew they they wouldn't, but thank you, thank.

Speaker 5 (01:51:08):
You for this, because that they were. I would the
whole time I would went over there. I'm like, I
wonder if their cousins or not.

Speaker 15 (01:51:13):
I wish they would have played prank on you?

Speaker 5 (01:51:15):
Oll there?

Speaker 15 (01:51:17):
What prank anything?

Speaker 5 (01:51:19):
Garrett did?

Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
He just wanted you want them somehow pranks?

Speaker 15 (01:51:22):
Oh yeah, if I had, if I had Larrys phone
number out of out of Colin.

Speaker 2 (01:51:27):
Okay, somebody set off a bunch of fireworks that did
outside Speed were part of that.

Speaker 5 (01:51:33):
You're part of that.

Speaker 15 (01:51:36):
I can't say no more.

Speaker 5 (01:51:37):
He was, how do you reach that far?

Speaker 1 (01:51:39):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (01:51:40):
His his, his reach is incredible. He's like the mafia.

Speaker 2 (01:51:44):
See the first thought, the first thought that goes into
his mind anytime we do anything, Hey, I wonder I'm
frank them? You know, that's the first thing he starts thinking.
He thought that that Carolyn and Larry and should have
come up. Hey, wait a minute, Speedy's coming. We need
to prank it.

Speaker 5 (01:51:59):
Yeah, you know that's instead of being very nice like
they are going to come on. Are you involved in
the fireworks that went off outside Speedies?

Speaker 15 (01:52:05):
You're not gonna say anything about it.

Speaker 5 (01:52:08):
It just a matter of fact, is it? You know?

Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
You say it inside the prank community. Nobody likes an
empty skim, that's right. Can't be telling secret trade secrets,
Rick trade secret. But is it true that you had
something blow up outside the Yeah?

Speaker 15 (01:52:25):
Yest that?

Speaker 7 (01:52:29):
What time was that?

Speaker 5 (01:52:30):
Speed?

Speaker 7 (01:52:30):
That was late at night? Wasn't it nine eleven?

Speaker 5 (01:52:33):
What was it?

Speaker 9 (01:52:33):
Now?

Speaker 5 (01:52:34):
It's true nine and ten?

Speaker 7 (01:52:36):
Where were you?

Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
Gary?

Speaker 15 (01:52:38):
I wouldn't over there and tell you that.

Speaker 2 (01:52:40):
Yeah, it's a long ring, but you have people doing
your job like you won't tell us whose phone you
gave Speedy his number two that had a Georgia area
code in that area.

Speaker 5 (01:52:51):
You won't tell who that person is?

Speaker 15 (01:52:54):
Well, I mean I could. I mean, it's my cousin.

Speaker 5 (01:53:00):
Just made that up. He looked around, like, what could
I come up with?

Speaker 15 (01:53:02):
Yeah, when you lie, you look to the right outside.

Speaker 5 (01:53:06):
That's funny. Okay, did you enjoy it? How did Yeah?
How many times? You think?

Speaker 2 (01:53:14):
He text me, Hey, Speedy, snything?

Speaker 5 (01:53:17):
What day was that that? I went over there. I
gotta go look at it.

Speaker 2 (01:53:20):
But they almost called it off when he got that tap.

Speaker 5 (01:53:22):
He was he was Larry Quest was on the twenty
fifth of June. It was a four. Ye I know
it was. I'm going back right now, you're twenty fourth.
Do you feel bad about this?

Speaker 4 (01:53:35):
And all?

Speaker 5 (01:53:35):
Oh, you don't know? Are you kidding? He said, we
got frankin. Hey, mister Speedy, okay is it? Hopefully this
is your number? I got it from a friend of mine.
Just wanted to let you know. I heard you were
going to visit Larry and Carolyn in a few days.
I usually live by them for a few years. I
did some work for them months by. They're not what

(01:53:55):
you think Larry and Carolyn are cousins and not married.
That's funny. The houses, the houses of mess cats everywhere.
The screen screened in porch is terrible and cat you're
an inside and smoke scent on the inside and the
house is unbelievable. I know you're trying to get something
for the show, but just wanted to let you know
what's going on. You're a better man than me if

(01:54:15):
you can pull this off. I left a month ago
for a job in Dallas, Georgia. Good luck you went that.

Speaker 2 (01:54:24):
I just had to think of something, you know, Gary,
Gry Wayne, Oh that was good there, code that was good.
But you won't say anything about the fireworks. Ricky bent
On down low right, but you can see.

Speaker 15 (01:54:43):
But I'm glad you had a good time, Old Carolyn.

Speaker 5 (01:54:47):
Good people.

Speaker 2 (01:54:47):
Are you gonna do that podcast for Larry?

Speaker 5 (01:54:49):
Yeah, Gry Larry and Gary. Now look, he's gonna want
to talk about patches and coins and all that. What's
it called fishing patch or something? I don't know, but
it could be. It could be.

Speaker 7 (01:55:02):
I thought it was just Gary and Larry.

Speaker 5 (01:55:03):
I was it Larry and Yeah? Larry and Gary?

Speaker 7 (01:55:05):
Is it Larry and Gary or Larry?

Speaker 5 (01:55:07):
Are you? Are you first on the bill or Arry
and Larry you care what's your name's first?

Speaker 9 (01:55:10):
Oh?

Speaker 15 (01:55:11):
I don't Mary Man, Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:55:13):
You're gonna.

Speaker 2 (01:55:14):
I want you to know that you just told Speedy
that you franked it. And you know Speedy could easily
easily hand off your phone to Larry.

Speaker 5 (01:55:24):
Yeah, Oh, thank you, that's it, and that I'm going
to call the number that texted me and see answer.

Speaker 15 (01:55:32):
Don't know. Leon Muss sent them on a friend's request
on Facebook.

Speaker 1 (01:55:37):
Is the Rick Bircher Show, America. Get ready for more
of the Rick Bircher Show.

Speaker 5 (01:55:55):
And here we are, Speedy, Gregg and Adler. As we
started to brand you, I thank you for being with us.
And uh, there they are. The Fox seats are full.

Speaker 2 (01:56:06):
Yeah, and they come from all over and they brought goodies, Yes,
some bringing goodies. Did they all bring goodies or just everybody?

Speaker 5 (01:56:14):
Everybody?

Speaker 14 (01:56:14):
Did?

Speaker 2 (01:56:15):
Everybody everybody here brought something. Don't feel obligator, as we
say every time, to bring goodies.

Speaker 9 (01:56:20):
Do not.

Speaker 2 (01:56:20):
I mean that's not something that we require. It's certainly
not expected, but it is a great, wonderful kind thing
to do. And it's funny.

Speaker 5 (01:56:28):
Most most people who bring stuff's name gets drawn so
they can particip I don't know how that happened, right, Yes, I.

Speaker 7 (01:56:35):
Don't think we should. I don't think we can do that.
I don't think that's legal.

Speaker 2 (01:56:39):
Well, we got a welcome to all of you. Look
forward to meeting you before the show is over. I'll
be leaving maybe one segment early, just because I have
the honor to be the pall bearer, one of the
paul bearers today for Jordy Henson. We'll be headed to
that memorial service and graveside service after today. We're all going,
but I have to go a little bit early and

(01:57:00):
we'll head out maybe just a smidge early, pick up
share and get down there. So be remembering that it
will be a celebration, I promise you that today. So,
but there's always still sadness in mourning anytime someone that
you have had a wonderful time with here on earth
is now separated from you for a time. So being
a prayer for the Hintson families as they go through

(01:57:22):
that today with a family and friends.

Speaker 7 (01:57:24):
So can I say something real quick, roud, Jeordie, You
sure can.

Speaker 8 (01:57:28):
Sometimes you don't get a chance to say your last
words that you want to say to a person. And
I actually did get a chance to do that, and Rick,
you helped me understand how quick we were approaching that deadline.
And I want to say thank you for that. And
it's just I just want to say thank you to
God for that chance to tell tell my friend. Thank

(01:57:49):
you to him for showing people how to be a
great father and a great friend and how to live
and how to die, because with als, it is it's
a it's an odd death, it's a very and I
I had never known anyone or dealt with any friend
or anything that had ALS. And you're just kind of
locked in a in a in a cell and you're

(01:58:10):
kind of just watching the world and listening to the world,
and it's a it's a much different death than say
even a cancer or things like that. And so it
was it was really just amazing to see him and
his family, uh, just living out the Gospel in their
lives and in Jeordie's death. And it was just a
huge blessing to be able to have a chance to

(01:58:31):
go and speak to him. And it's not it's something
I'll never forget and I'll never forget Jeordy and and uh,
I'm just so thankful for him and his family. He's
been such a great friend to you, Rick, and to
my my parents as well. And he just was just
the kindest guy. He was just the most encouraging, high
energy go getter.

Speaker 5 (01:58:51):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (01:58:52):
And he had such a passion for helping people.

Speaker 8 (01:58:54):
Uh and and and it's such a passion for Christ
and and I just I want to say thank you
to God for that opportunity to speak to him, and
thank you God for Jordi.

Speaker 2 (01:59:04):
The Great Well said. It was one of those things,
as you just said, it was a conversation that we
all had. And I'd already seen this conversation take place
before with two other great men that were not as
close to me as Jordie, but they still were very close.
But I talked to men that are close to me

(01:59:24):
that were close to them, and they had said it
to these men, and we said it to Jordie, and
you touched on it, Adler. You know, Jordie was the
kind of guy that showed us how to live. And
when we found out that he was terminally ill, I
remember us talking to him and saying, now we're going
to have the opportunity for you to show us how

(01:59:45):
to die. And he certainly did. And I mean all
the way out with his final breath, you know als eventually,
you know, you get to where you can't breathe on
your own. He was reminding his children about be devoted
to Christ. He'll never let you down. I'm not perfect,
he is yet that right, that's all that matters. I

(02:00:07):
mean in the final words that he was saying on
earth and so anyway that will be. And I will
tell you I was telling the guys today that all
going to the funeral and the memorial service. I said, look,
you wouldn't believe how this is when you know you've lived, well,
there are so many people, you know. You sometimes when
somebody passes, you think, well, we know we want so

(02:00:29):
and so to say something, and so and so. With Jordi,
we literally have had to say we can't let everybody talk.
If we do, we'll be there for a week, you know.
And I'm talking about people that legitimate, which legitimately would
stand up and say the impact of him in my
life is so big. I really should be speaking at

(02:00:51):
his funeral, but you can't. I mean, and there's already
going to be probably five you know, and that's just
scratching the sir. So you know, you lived well when
they go, I know, we have almost can't count people
that would love to utilize Jordan, you know, and and

(02:01:12):
compare that to some people that you have to struggle
to find anybody that would utilize them. So it'll be
a big celebration today. It'll be a lot of impact.
I mean, just a young man that he impacted in
the final years of his life, you know, reached this
incredible goal serving our military and has had to ask
the military, that's how much JORDI meant to him, could

(02:01:32):
you please allow me to go home and bury this man?
And the military did wow.

Speaker 9 (02:01:38):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:01:38):
And this is not even a son of his. This
is just a young man that he impacted with his life.
You know that he just was doing ministry, you know,
and helping these young men so and they all were there,
you know. I remember it was odd when Jordan, they'll
talk about it today. He got involved with an inner
city ministry and he began to become a father to

(02:02:01):
the fatherless and begin to become this incredible impact raising
money for college funds, trying to give these young men
and women their best shot. You know, maybe that have
come from tough situations and you know, in the wrong
side of town and that kind of thing. And he
had such an impact. Now this is before he was
ever diagnosed, and watching the beauty of when he was

(02:02:23):
diagnosed and now needed help physically, that was put on
his family and his friends. And now all these young
men who were young and strong that he had impacted
now were there to come into the home and give
their gratitude back and start helping the family by helping
to move him. And I thought, look at God, he's
being obedient, and God saying, your obedience has now resulted

(02:02:45):
in this being available to your family. Just so many stories,
and so it will be a great day today, while
sad at the same time, So and when I started
thinking about all the funny stories that he's been part
of back in the Rick and Bubba days, and and
uh even still stories that we're continuing on into us

(02:03:05):
starting this show, even him going through a LS And
when we look at the Paul Bears today, I mean,
we're thinking to ourselves, look, let's do our job well.
And and one of them said, why why do I
sense it this this responsibility we've been given, this bunch

(02:03:26):
with this man, Why do I feel like it's going
to be seven o'clock on Monday when this is being recapped,
you know what I mean, and primetime on the show,
and I said, well, let's try not to do anything
that would end up on the show.

Speaker 7 (02:03:37):
And uh, how's your ankle? How's your ankle doing?

Speaker 2 (02:03:43):
But let me tell you, Jordie would be he would
just because he didn't so so anyway, so that's that's
happening today.

Speaker 5 (02:03:52):
And your limp is a little worse today. I've noticed.

Speaker 2 (02:03:54):
Well, I'm in dress shoes, you know that's the problem.

Speaker 5 (02:03:56):
I'm in dress.

Speaker 2 (02:03:57):
Look, let me tell you when club Foot gets in
dress es anything that limping Paul bearer is not.

Speaker 5 (02:04:01):
No, it's not.

Speaker 2 (02:04:01):
And don't forget about rotator cuff always still.

Speaker 5 (02:04:04):
Got Oh my goodness, get on the left side.

Speaker 2 (02:04:07):
Yeah, I need to be on the left side. So
it's let me tell you something. I know it's a
very sensitive topic and I know all of us have
done it and some of you may have done it.
And I think when you're a Paul Bearer, it's a
lot of pressure. Yeah, and it's not so much at
where they're at the church of the funeral home. It's
that grave side. It's it's that final run to get

(02:04:28):
to that that final resting place. It never I mean
just one. I wasn't involved in it. I mean but
even with Pop, with with our sons that were involved
in it. My sons told me they like they they
need to dropped him. Do you remember that.

Speaker 5 (02:04:47):
It came It came out of the hearse a little
hot yeah, pressure, yeah, I mean they have a story.
I'm not gonna tell it. Don't tell It involved dad,
me and him being Paul barr N folks. I remember
the comments he was making. Also would love to share it. Well,
there's anothering we can't share it. Hand slipping. Hand slipping,
we can't share either. And that's, you know, our friend.
And I mean it's a horrible story because he got

(02:05:09):
cancer and died very young. But you remember that time
the guy driving the Hurst had a little bit of
a hot foot. We also missed the turn. He missed
the turn. We couldn't keep up with him. He will remember.
That's it.

Speaker 2 (02:05:21):
And then that particular whitefoot Hurst, that little that little
walk to the final resting space was that tough one.
It was uppeal uppeal and he was not a small man.
He was mm hmm, big big fellow.

Speaker 5 (02:05:36):
Yeah, you got some help with the Paul bar. You
got some good you know, similar height, that's important.

Speaker 2 (02:05:42):
Yeah, well I'm worried about Garnett gri You don't have
to name it, buddy. Yeah, so you know Dawson's involved.

Speaker 5 (02:05:52):
I'm just apologize to both them in that band.

Speaker 9 (02:05:54):
Now.

Speaker 2 (02:05:55):
All that's telling me is it's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (02:05:57):
On men, beat on you.

Speaker 5 (02:06:00):
He's not gonna be Just just hold your just do
what you need to fall in. I'll have, I'll have.

Speaker 1 (02:06:07):
This is the Rick Burgess Show doing what he was
born to do, The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (02:06:28):
Alrighty America, thank you for being with us today, having
a great time.

Speaker 5 (02:06:34):
I hope you are too. If you missed the in
the show, you missed a lot. Gary has been here.

Speaker 2 (02:06:39):
Hey box seats A Burgess Ball battle coming up? Can
the will stay hot?

Speaker 5 (02:06:44):
It's been had it out?

Speaker 2 (02:06:44):
Money fifteen hundred dollars went out wow over the last
what three spins?

Speaker 5 (02:06:51):
Last three?

Speaker 2 (02:06:52):
Because I know we had a five hundred dollars winter
on Burgess Ball on Tuesday and then we had one
thousand dollars winter with the be true or bs right,
that's right. So it's a hot wheel it is. So
we'll we'll we'll see what happens there.

Speaker 5 (02:07:07):
And uh, Gary just left, but he wants me to
put his call back up there, so he requested that, Yeah,
are you I'm gonna go ahead and get that out
of my office.

Speaker 2 (02:07:15):
You you seem to be in kind of a dilemma
over Gars admitting that he pranked you.

Speaker 5 (02:07:21):
Yeah, we we have a touch of breaking news because
I've learned in the commercial break it wasn't just Gary.
Now I understand, Wait a minute, I understand that the
entire time the Burgess boys knew. I knew, but you
and you let me sit here and fred over these

(02:07:44):
and you knew the whole time. And I remember y'all
trying to go, oh man, yeah, maybe you need to
find out some more now.

Speaker 2 (02:07:50):
If you would have been really you, you kind of
believed it, but you didn't go over the top. I
would have told you if you had been over the top,
we were watching to see how far you went with it.

Speaker 5 (02:07:59):
But you knew we were made a win. I'm looking
to Greg, I thought we had a deal. Well look that, y'all. Huh,
we got a deal. You don't even know about it.
It didn't it didn't qualify to me of something that
was that bad. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (02:08:11):
It could have been worse, but the fact that he
was telling me he was heading off into some situations.

Speaker 5 (02:08:15):
He's going friends five hours, I was head that way.
And y'all knew the whole time that Gary was panking
that afternoon. You think my phone didn't ring? It was
Gary her and speedy.

Speaker 2 (02:08:26):
Hey, she said anything about that in text? She's getting
so the.

Speaker 5 (02:08:29):
Whole time, I'm going over there, y'all over here giggling.

Speaker 2 (02:08:32):
Oh yeah, but you you had what do y'all think about?
You basically figured out it was a prank.

Speaker 5 (02:08:38):
No, you know so much that.

Speaker 2 (02:08:40):
No, it's just you kept going, why won't he give
me his name?

Speaker 5 (02:08:43):
It was being a little vague the last few responses,
and so I let it sit. I was going to
tell you for we left and I forgot, but everything
your excuse for everything can't be I forgot again. I
did not doing it for fifty eight years. Yeah, I knew.

Speaker 2 (02:08:59):
I knew about it. I was just watching to see
how severe it got. If you know what I'm saying,
if you'd have got to the point you said, hey,
I'm turning around, I just don't feel good. About this,
I would have told you, yeah, of course dressed.

Speaker 5 (02:09:11):
Yeah, so y'all knew. So that's a touch of breaking news. Listen,
you're the one who volunteered to go spend the night
with people you had never met, right, I mean that's
how you almost repainting history. If there was anything that
came with it was kind on you. Adler. Did you know?
Did you know? Adler? I'm sorry, go ahead, I didn't know.

(02:09:31):
I knew. He didn't know because we're workplace best friends,
are you well, we didn't tell you because we knew
you'd ruin it. He's scared of beudy.

Speaker 7 (02:09:41):
Right, was called telling the truth that is ruining it.

Speaker 2 (02:09:47):
He had gone to his workplace, buddy, and been empty
scamp the company paint for everybody.

Speaker 5 (02:09:52):
I'm texting with Larry right now, but Gary was so
and I wonder if I need to share some Maybe
you do. By the way, I'm just carry's into patches
in Chilton County. He might have a have an inside
and that maybe some more patches for Larry.

Speaker 2 (02:10:05):
So maybe deliver on personally and spend the night. I
will say this, Tell Larry that's what's going on. You
got to think through gun treaties over. Okay, that ended
with the Rick and Bubba show. But you have to
think through. If you send Gary's sail to Larry, he
will it'll the world will never be over. He will continue,

(02:10:29):
I don't take it and just go more intense and
more intense. He'll look at that like like free reign. Well,
I have made some dish it out. Can't take it people,
and and they do get butt hurt.

Speaker 5 (02:10:41):
But I don't know. I think he might go along
with it because he's got me about ten times. I
ain't got him yet. He can. I don't have him
one time. I'm just tell he has scared me coming
out of the woods. He has pranked my son on
his bachelor party night. He has. I mean it just
it's endless.

Speaker 2 (02:10:57):
What I will say this he scared me with in
the cooler, made you cuss on camp tell from.

Speaker 5 (02:11:01):
The did so?

Speaker 2 (02:11:02):
I mean I owe him, you do, but I won't
see it that way. He was not everyson ever gonna call.

Speaker 5 (02:11:07):
Even Gary said he would love for you to call
him something about a patch from Shelton County, Alabama. Done.
I just did it.

Speaker 11 (02:11:15):
I did.

Speaker 2 (02:11:16):
Now I'm going to tell you it's not a dish
it out and can't take it from Gary. It's a
dish it out. I dish back you dish.

Speaker 5 (02:11:22):
Well, I've got about nine dishes.

Speaker 9 (02:11:24):
I know.

Speaker 5 (02:11:24):
Before he gets back to know his.

Speaker 2 (02:11:26):
Personality, this wasn't that bad, though I didn't feel bad
about it like I did that we faked you out
on that iPhone. Why doesn't always go back to that.
It's saying I felt bad about that. This wasn't that bad,
but you didn't feel bad enough to tell him?

Speaker 5 (02:11:37):
No, I didn't. I'm not realizing something I get a
lot of from pranks from y'all.

Speaker 2 (02:11:42):
Now, I don't ever prank y'all. Well, right, you know
what I think it is, and we appreciate it's because
you're a better person. Don't feel bad about that I
got That wasn't my idea of the phone, wasn't. I
just got sucked up in it.

Speaker 5 (02:11:53):
My call, Larry, I'm calling it, yeah, tell him that
Gary to be looking for Gary call.

Speaker 2 (02:12:00):
I would like I would like for the vox seats
and everybody in the audience to say I'm going on
record that this speedy's about to throw gasoline on a fire. Okay,
just you know it too, Greg and I think that's
what you want. Absolutely, Yeah, y'all want y'all want drama.
Y'all loved Adler's play, which is really a preferred position.

(02:12:21):
He'll pretend not to be about this while enjoying everybody. Yeah, yes,
he ain't answer. No, I can't believe that.

Speaker 5 (02:12:28):
I know he's doing what he's playing on the phone,
asking for a patch from somebody by.

Speaker 2 (02:12:33):
The way, Larry, Larry not answering your call. I don't
even know what they even had to probably texted you
often do you hear from Larry? Uh, let's see, let's
go just this morning see uh one two, three, four, five,
six eight texts.

Speaker 5 (02:12:56):
Yeah, that's a fact, y'all.

Speaker 2 (02:12:58):
Buddy, that didn't even embellish yesterday yesterday, just twice yesterday? Okay, No,
three times, three times a day.

Speaker 5 (02:13:06):
Before one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen.

Speaker 7 (02:13:13):
That's more than I talked to my wife.

Speaker 2 (02:13:16):
The day before that one, two, three four even close
by the way close, Okay, I'm not in No, you're right.
Sometimes he'll go dark share with a voicemail. I wish
did one.

Speaker 5 (02:13:33):
I'll go this far.

Speaker 2 (02:13:34):
I text my wife not out of ten days you know,
saying hey, you have a good day, I love you
all that, and I mean my wife who we've been married,
you know, be thirty years in February. I mean, I'm
I'm fortunate if I get a thumbs up on the
top of it. I mean, I'll just pour my heart out.
And I'm like, thanks, baby, she says, no, no, I'm

(02:13:57):
just busy at the time. I'm acknowledging thank you for
that text.

Speaker 5 (02:14:00):
It's a lot to me.

Speaker 2 (02:14:01):
And I was like, so encouraging texts. They feel good.
Yes they do, I said, they really do.

Speaker 5 (02:14:06):
I wouldn't know. Well, Gary, Gary shouldn't get too upset
because he gets his number out to strangers that want
to call and they just I mean, they just call
him from key bag or something. Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (02:14:17):
You mean, yeah, but I'm just telling you, you've got
a bucket of gasoline.

Speaker 13 (02:14:22):
Let's go.

Speaker 5 (02:14:22):
I'll meet him on the pastor.

Speaker 1 (02:14:26):
This is the Rick Burgers show. They're bound to informed
Dipping DUTs that they were not to infect the ice
cream of the future Rick Birchers.

Speaker 5 (02:14:47):
That's just a fact. So here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:14:50):
Nice alternative, but didn't replace ice cream, all right, So
I know the heat summer good, a little snanky. I
know you need something that can handle and handle what
it takes to keep a man smelling good. So you

(02:15:11):
need products designed for men. Shopmando dot com is ready
Shopmando dot com right now.

Speaker 9 (02:15:18):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:15:19):
You know, the ladies out there probably familiar with the
product Loomy. You're familiar with that same company, same doctor's
got behind this successful product though for men Mando no Aluminum.
It's got the Mandelic acid seventy two hours worth of protection.

Speaker 5 (02:15:41):
It is proven to work all day long.

Speaker 2 (02:15:43):
You can buy it in stores, but you're not. The
code big Box is gonna not gonna do you any
good there, Big Box, Big Box twenty percent off at
Shopmando dot com plus free shipping. So stop the stink, fellow.
Go to Shopmando dot com save twenty percent with our
code big Vox. Or go to Rick Burgess show dot

(02:16:06):
com under sponsors. Before I get to this update, you
you you might have come up with something brilliant in
the break just in you know, because Larry, I mean,
Gary probably needs to be taught a lesson. But we
need but we need to be smart with Okay, don't
put gasoline on the fire, No and maybe we get
Gary to just say okay for the show as retribution

(02:16:28):
right to Speedy for now. Nine pranks probably in a row. Yeah,
and that's I forgot half of them. Probably next Turkey
season he takes Larry Turkey hunting. I think so, and
we document and I'll just be the silent camera man.
I will go and document it all, just the interaction,
because you know Larry, he's a hunter. Yeah, let me
let me get in the middle of that. And what
I'll do, I'll negotiate the piece. And that's what I'll negotiate.

Speaker 5 (02:16:52):
They do this and this word square and where's many people?
Has got Gary's number? He should audio? He is leaning? Yeah,
he will give his number. He'll give his number out.

Speaker 2 (02:17:01):
Will it's not a big deal. Will he'll And he's
going to have to answer at that expo this weekend.
There'll be people asking speaking of looking for answers. We've
all been look confused about the Epstein files, haven't we
a lot of hype? We thought we were going to
get a lot out of this. It's had been a
whole lot to it. But there may be a reason
for that, and we keep being told certain reasons. O'Reilly

(02:17:25):
weighs in. He was talking on News Nation, if I'm
not mistaken, and he was saying that he talked to
Trump about this man to man, face to face, and
he knows why they're not releasing it. But there are
names on it. But he's saying, this is why they're
not releasing it.

Speaker 19 (02:17:42):
Talk to President Trump man and man eye to eye
on Saint Patrick's day about this and the Kennedy files
and the King files. It was all one conversation, and
he said, and I agree, there are a lot of
names associated with Epstein, had nothing to do with Epstein's conduct.
They maybe had long with them or maybe had some
correspondence for one thing or another. If that name gets out,

(02:18:05):
those people who are destroyed because it's not going to
be any context. Media doesn't care about context, so you.

Speaker 5 (02:18:12):
Can't do that.

Speaker 2 (02:18:14):
Well, not a bad point. An example an example, RFK Jr.
Was saying that his name would be on there, but
he said one of them we were given my family,
we were offered the jet, the Epstein jet, because he said,
my wife at the time had some sort of acquaintance

(02:18:37):
with what's your name, the one that's in jail.

Speaker 5 (02:18:41):
Maxwell.

Speaker 2 (02:18:42):
Actually he said we didn't know, the deviant behavior of them.
We went on a trip to somewhere I forget, and
then the other he said, was like a fossil fine trip.
We all went, me and a bunch of my kids
to go to place and dig for fossils. He said,
this stuff was very innocent.

Speaker 5 (02:19:00):
I was this it right here?

Speaker 2 (02:19:01):
Okay, oh sorry, yeah, they think that's what he said,
right rag Greg.

Speaker 7 (02:19:08):
Jesse Waters Accident asks him about it.

Speaker 2 (02:19:11):
So this is the kind of stuff that O'Reilly, said
Trumptone about looked like somebody like RFK Junior. He didn't
do anything wrong, he said, But if your name's on
that list, the way the media operates today and the
way we as people operate is we're going to take
your name on that list and we're going to say, well,
then you must have been part of all the deviant
stuff when they're like, I'll just got to ride to
the beach, you know, and this kind of stuff.

Speaker 5 (02:19:31):
You weren't ever on Jeffrey Epstein's jet, were you.

Speaker 17 (02:19:36):
I was on Jeffrey Epstein's yet two times. I was
on it in nineteen ninety three, and I was and
I went to Florida with my wife and two children,
that visit my mom.

Speaker 4 (02:19:53):
Over Easter on.

Speaker 17 (02:19:55):
My wife had some kind of relationship with Glenn Maxwell,
and they offered us a ride to Palm Beach, so
I went then, and on another occasion I flew again
with my family with I think four of my children
and and.

Speaker 1 (02:20:12):
Uh and marry my wife too.

Speaker 17 (02:20:16):
Rapid City is South Dakota.

Speaker 7 (02:20:19):
Okay, all right, you guys get the edge.

Speaker 5 (02:20:22):
Let's be honest.

Speaker 2 (02:20:24):
Me recalling it somewhat was a little easier. Uh.

Speaker 5 (02:20:29):
But then there's the other side of the coin.

Speaker 2 (02:20:31):
So we understand if somebody's names on the list that
didn't do anything wrong, they're gonna be lumped in with
the people that may have done something wrong no matter what,
and it's going to damage their lives.

Speaker 5 (02:20:42):
That is accurate. That is the environment we now live in.

Speaker 2 (02:20:45):
But then we have Alan Dersuwitch, who's going to come
in and talk to Sean Spicer, and he's going to say,
I have seen the list, uh and uh because of
the the some legal rulings, I can't comment on it.
But he thinks the list not being released is actually
a bad thing. It should be released.

Speaker 5 (02:21:05):
So here he is. This is not an opinion, this
is a fact.

Speaker 4 (02:21:08):
I have seen.

Speaker 11 (02:21:09):
Remember, I was accused falsely and the scene, and ultimately
I was completely cleared. The woman admitted that she may
have mistook me for somebody else and withdrew all of
her lawsuits. And so from day one, from the day
I was accused, I said, I want every document out
because I knew every document would prove I was innocent.
So let me tell you I know from fact documents
are being suppressed, and they're being suppressed to protect individuals.

(02:21:32):
I know the names of the individuals. I know why
they're being suppressed. I know who's suppressing them. But I'm
bound by confidentiality from a judge and cases, and I
can't disclose what I know. But I hand to God,
I know I know the names of people whose files
are being suppressed in order to protect them, and that's wrong.

Speaker 5 (02:21:54):
Just out of carriousity. Without names? Are these politicians, business leaders, both.

Speaker 11 (02:21:59):
They're everything, And let me tell you a lot of
them are. At least one of them is somebody who
was accused. Others are accusers. And the judges have said
if somebody calls themselves a victim a victim, we're not
going to give any information about them. But they may
not be victims, they may be perpetrators. So we don't

(02:22:21):
have information about false accusers. And we know there have
been many false accusers who have accused innocent people for money,
and those records are being deliberately, willfully suppressed, and they
shouldn't be suppressed. If the accusation is allowed out, so
should the material that diminishes the credibility of the accuser.

(02:22:41):
We want total transparency on this, every single document, no redaction.
That's what I've said from day one. I waive any
of my rights of privacy. Anything there is about me.
I'm happy because it will be exculpatory because I know
I haven't touched a woman other than my wife from
the day I met Jeffreyfstein. I don't even know huther people.
But I was falsely affused and I was able to

(02:23:03):
prove it, and I was able to prove it through documents,
and I want other people to be able to disprove
false accusations through documents.

Speaker 2 (02:23:11):
But these documents are being suppressed and with pell M,
So there's the two ends of the spectrum. It doesn't
it'll cause confusion. Dershowitz says, no, I think it'll bring clarity.
So there's the two ends, and so but that the
one about and I feel and the media just going nuts.
That's every day, every day that they really couldn't care

(02:23:32):
less about the truth. They're just gonna run with whatever
they have and don't have to walk it out. I
do see that side, and then I see the other
side too. Of course, you know, you want to be
able to prove your innocence if you've been accused of Well,
if you put the two together, what you would find
is they all come out everybody sees them. Then everybody
has to immediately go on wide open offense to explain

(02:23:54):
what they're doing on there. And then you have to
hope that as you're clearing your name that people will
and that people will wait until they hear all the information.
I'm sorry, that's not going to happen. Yeah, not in
this environment. And then this is the biggest shoot.

Speaker 5 (02:24:10):
Ready aim world we've ever been in.

Speaker 2 (02:24:12):
Anybody can say anything about you, and I've noticed, no
matter how many times you refute an accusation, many of
the people just stay with the accusation because they know
most people will never take the time to see that
you refuted it. If it's just it's a tough environment
that we're in.

Speaker 8 (02:24:30):
One of the central figures in all of this is Trump,
because he's the president, and you got to ask yourself
there is.

Speaker 7 (02:24:42):
I'm asking y'all's opinion because we don't know.

Speaker 8 (02:24:44):
Do you think that this is being kind of brushed
under the table because Trump has something to hide, or
because Trump is using it for leveraging these deals. We've
talked about both possibilities, but I'm kind of just asking
what y'all's opinion is.

Speaker 5 (02:24:59):
It's total space. I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (02:25:02):
I would say probably the latter for sure.

Speaker 14 (02:25:06):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:25:06):
And the primary thing you said about him being on there,
I don't know, yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:25:10):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:25:10):
And he may be in a situation where he's on there,
but he can explain it away, which is why he's
saying if we put it out there, nobody, I'll get
the chance to explain it away. So he could be
in an RFK Junior situation.

Speaker 5 (02:25:23):
We're not protecting former presidents that can't explain.

Speaker 7 (02:25:26):
Right, Yeah, Okay, that's an.

Speaker 2 (02:25:30):
The odds, the odds that he ended up in a
situation like RFK Jr. Because they ran in that same
world are pretty hot. Since we've seen pictures with Trump
with him before. I think the odds that are pretty hot.
I'm not saying thing the fairyus took place. I'm just
saying he's on there.

Speaker 1 (02:25:46):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Speak Okay, are you
ready to bring something to the table?

Speaker 2 (02:26:07):

Speaker 1 (02:26:08):

(02:28:48):
went back in the kitchen, then started working, never washed
his hands, And when I come out, I saw him
go back there, and I told the manager to give
me my money back, and I told her why. She
just laughed at me and I left.

Speaker 5 (02:29:03):
Yeah, you know, that's one of those things. And he
went right down that path.

Speaker 4 (02:29:10):
He went right down that path.

Rick first to get my meter out. But you're not
sure about that, Greg, Why would this.

Probably? Would?

Speaker 2 (02:29:22):
You would you go ahead and eat or would you
ask for your money back?

Speaker 5 (02:29:25):
Well, now, if that guy was in there his money back,
if he wants his money back, so he's already paid,
and he's waiting on his food here and already eating
it as he No, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:29:32):
You may be right, maybe I'm to cut him some so, like,
I don't know, something that sounds like the guy from
Flowery Branch, Georgia talking about that?

Speaker 5 (02:29:40):
Is that a bit of an overreaction or y'all are
y'all with him on that?

Speaker 8 (02:29:43):
Well?

Speaker 5 (02:29:43):
Now?

Speaker 2 (02:29:45):

but if I'm in there by myself, usually know I do,
and I've brought it up before.

Speaker 5 (02:32:19):
I do wonder whine. I'm sure that somebody's tell me
the answer I forgot. Of course, I wonder why. Sometimes

Speaker 2 (02:32:49):
A lot of people mass I saw, and it happens.

keep that sage, all right, So you say it's will

(02:37:57):
to me and then let.

Speaker 5 (02:37:59):

Speaker 5 (02:39:28):
Baby, such a nice lab She was so sweet be
his new friends. Yeah she was.

Speaker 4 (02:39:34):
She was very sweet.

Speaker 5 (02:39:34):

Speaker 2 (02:39:35):
You want her to be hateful, you want her to

you moved her up there.

Speaker 7 (02:40:19):

Speaker 2 (02:40:21):
This should be like this for show them that and
you tell you right there that's it all right? So
anybody's kept doing it right? Well, there's there's so many,
so many criddles here. So first of all, let's talk
about the loss you okay.

Speaker 5 (02:40:36):
Buddy, you just get up to the big boy mind there.

Speaker 21 (02:40:39):
I'll survive.

Speaker 5 (02:40:40):
That's a bad effort. So tell us you have any
questions or shout outs.

Speaker 14 (02:40:45):
Uh So, first of all I wanted to say is
about five six years ago, I'd found the YouTube channel
where you're doing a Bible study. Yep, and uh I'd
heard of the show before, but I ain't really been
a listener until I've seen that. I thought, well, cool,
this is a cool show. But they are also Christian.
So I am, you know, thankful for your show for that.

(02:41:05):
We actually came in twenty twenty. The people was able
to show.

Speaker 2 (02:41:13):
True Oh yeah, you're the one.

Speaker 5 (02:41:14):
The guys all sick.

Speaker 14 (02:41:15):
I'm We came in January of twenty twenty, and it
was actually the show where Mickey Dean called in.

Speaker 2 (02:41:22):
Okay, and y'all had heard from him, heard from a
long time.

Speaker 14 (02:41:25):
And y'all were frantic back and forth anyway, and I
was a new listener. I didn't even know who he was.
So after that, I, you know, found more stuff on him,
and I, you know, really enjoyed his coming down.

Speaker 2 (02:41:39):
He died over that year, yes, all right, so yeah,
because I remember because of the pandemic, the funeral was
all weird and Bubba and I went. But all right,
so you're telling me you came into the world through
the Bible study. Bible study first, and then that took
you into the show.

Speaker 21 (02:41:53):
I've heard of the show, but I don't listen to
Worldly Radio.

Speaker 5 (02:41:57):
Yeah whatever, you know.

Speaker 21 (02:41:58):
Well, did you never know what you're gonna do?

Speaker 5 (02:42:00):
No, you don't.

Speaker 2 (02:42:00):
And that's that's the problem we have with Adler still
being on the show.

Speaker 5 (02:42:05):
Years. I think you're great. Idler. Yeah you are.

Speaker 2 (02:42:08):
By the way, So Micah, you or Melissa either when
of y'all have a little question or shout out, are
y'all coming up?

Speaker 5 (02:42:12):
Michael?

Speaker 4 (02:42:13):
Michael.

Speaker 2 (02:42:13):
This was a surprise to him, as Speedy just told us. Yeah,
so Michael, first of all, surprise, thank you. Okay, so
watch on your mind son.

Speaker 12 (02:42:21):
Well he didn't do this, but I want to say
hey to his coworkers.

Speaker 14 (02:42:27):
Oh okay, looking at for I forced him to listen
for the last six years, specifically the backshop at Waters
Truck and Track.

Speaker 5 (02:42:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, well I was talking to them. They
drove over from too Plummissippi last night, and Micah just
thought he was going to play top golf and go
to BUCkies little bit, which is enough. Little did he
know that he was coming here?

Speaker 2 (02:42:50):
Oh yeah, when Bucky comes up later today, it'll be
nothing like beating Greg.

Speaker 21 (02:42:53):
And that's wondered why we had to get up.

Speaker 5 (02:42:55):
So yeah, so what's out BUCkies over? Melissa?

Speaker 4 (02:42:58):
Do you have anything I do?

Speaker 10 (02:43:02):
Actually, Rick, we're in a club to get which one
the one that when nobody wants to be in?

Speaker 5 (02:43:07):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 10 (02:43:09):
We actually lost twin girls the year after.

Speaker 2 (02:43:12):
You lost your brod.

Speaker 5 (02:43:13):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 10 (02:43:14):
Yeah, but you know y'all's y'all's faith is what helped
us too. And one thing that I've learned is, uh,
God gives you the He trusts us, you know, and
he don't He knows who you can trust with situations.

Speaker 21 (02:43:30):
Like this, right, and so it's the faith that you
know gets us through.

Speaker 10 (02:43:32):
So we're in we're in that club together.

Speaker 9 (02:43:34):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:43:34):
Well, thank you for that, and thanks for that always,
as you know, Chell Sherry and I, it helps us
to heal, to know that it was able to help
others when when it was their turn to do something
to be in a club that none of us want
to be in. So thank you. I'll pass that along
to her today too.

Speaker 21 (02:43:48):
And God's allowed her to minister to other people.

Speaker 5 (02:43:51):
Oh yeah, a lot.

Speaker 2 (02:43:53):
Absolutely, Well, it's that kind of stuff, like you said,
when everybody's watching in a way that quite like nothing else.

Speaker 5 (02:43:58):
And obviously you guys are continuing to pass the test.

Speaker 2 (02:44:01):
So well done. Thanks sen, thanks for being here. We'll

Speaker 5 (02:47:31):
You are you that open?

Speaker 2 (02:47:32):
Because you're not going to be there on time and
you're going to have a delay.

Speaker 9 (02:47:35):
You know this?

Speaker 5 (02:47:36):
Have you seen Have you seen the headlines while you
were sitting here? How many delays there? All because of
the weather.

Speaker 1 (02:47:42):
Perfect?

Speaker 5 (02:47:42):

Speaker 2 (02:48:14):
That when we connect Okay, coming back to that, well
that the good news there is you're not going to

all right, So just.

Speaker 2 (02:48:30):

Speaker 2 (02:48:36):
Now, it does it hurt when they take a day
away from you that you actually paid for and you
can never get the money back.

Speaker 5 (02:48:41):
Yes, it does.

Speaker 2 (02:48:42):
And then when it hits you that these flights. They're
not free. Okay, all this is happening as you pay
big money. Just don't think about any of that. Get
all that out of your mind. The only thing I
can say to you today that is good news. You
don't have to take shoes off.

Speaker 5 (02:48:55):

What what's your what's your dad doing in the woods?
Is he going to the bathroom? We can't think of
anything in season? What is your dad doing in the woods.

Speaker 9 (02:49:24):
He's a logger, he owns the log.

Speaker 5 (02:49:29):
Said, hello dark Daddy, my daddy.

Speaker 4 (02:49:30):

world with no Eagles music. I can't live I can't
live in the world where soccer is the only I

Speaker 2 (02:50:48):

Speaker 5 (02:50:50):

was a good one, you know, he might have.

Speaker 2 (02:50:57):

Speaker 5 (02:52:20):
Thank you all for being here, that you had fun.
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (02:52:22):
Uh well, how about that that.

Speaker 5 (02:52:23):
We've got a we got a good crowd and some
Greg's been somewhat nice, somewhat nice.

Speaker 2 (02:52:29):
He's he's carried himself pretty well.

Speaker 5 (02:52:32):
We'll come back.

Speaker 2 (02:52:33):
We got more to do before. Yes you have eating
their pastries, Greg, Yes you have, Yes, you have my
blood work.

Speaker 5 (02:52:39):
Let's good. I'll do better tomorrow. You'll do better tomorrow. Yeah,
you do better tomorrow, aren't you the big boy? Mike
delivering again. Will come back.

Speaker 2 (02:52:52):
We'll work through anything that may be left on the
bone for the week, as the Rick Burgess Show continues
right after this.

Speaker 1 (02:53:00):
This is the Rick Burchess Show. Men Don't Run in
the Rain, The new book by Rick Burchess available now
wherever you get books.

Speaker 2 (02:53:20):
Loving the reviews. Got to do a couple of interviews
yesterday concerning it. If you're in Milwaukee, you'll hear that
Lord Willing coming up on Sunday Big nine twenty w
ok why And also the iHeartRadio app I'm on Faith
in the Zone. It's a story about sports and faith
and Mike has read the book and we have a

(02:53:41):
great conversation about that. I'm honored to be asked to
have been on with them, so enjoy that there I
Packer Nation. Of course I through that Wingo's name, and
look when I'll play the Wingo card if I'm in
Packer Nation, and and and and advise others to do so.
And of course they went crazy over that. Of course
what Wingoes getting ready for is it?

Speaker 5 (02:54:01):
Now?

Speaker 2 (02:54:01):
They want me to put them together and they want
to have him on. So but I think you do great.
So that's coming up this weekend. And then also did
an interview with eighteen nineteen News. That podcast is not
available yet. When it is, we'll let you know. But
we also did another Strange Encounters yesterday which comes out
this weekend as well. All right, so I do this
is something great. Maybe you can help us with this one.

(02:54:23):
We got a paraglider that, unfortunately, having a bad day,
has hit power lines. That's not Oh yeah, and I
saw something the other day too in a neighborhood that
I want to ask you about. It looked a little
I mean, there were some power lines like hanging down
really low. But anyway, so here we go, Greg, why
do you always say that you always go fall.

Speaker 5 (02:54:44):
Back to that, because that's ninety nine percent of the time.
What it is?

Speaker 8 (02:54:47):
Okay, all right, so this is the it's a powered paraglider,
which is basically by my house we have.

Speaker 5 (02:54:53):
But I'm sorry, Bud, it's about power.

Speaker 2 (02:54:54):
So he's taking about that little flying thing.

Speaker 7 (02:54:57):
You're talking about what I was talking about?

Speaker 9 (02:54:59):
Great?

Speaker 8 (02:54:59):
Yeah, right, It's basically the tiny little go kart with
a huge propeller on the back and then there's a
parachute above you and you are gliding around. So this
powered paraglider is going to be trying to travel over
this bridge right here.

Speaker 7 (02:55:12):
This is in Grand Forks. Uh nd is Nebraska?

Speaker 5 (02:55:17):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (02:55:18):
No, North Dakota, North Dakota.

Speaker 8 (02:55:20):
Why would it be Nebraska, Chris, you idiot? Okay, So
I'm just trying to set the scene here and now
now I've got the quote bred to go. Here we go, Greg,
tell us what this person ran into telephone line and
the person is on the bridge. They didn't They didn't
see that the lines either. So when the when the
paraglider hits the line, the person filming is also surprised.

Speaker 5 (02:55:42):
Okay, so there they.

Speaker 2 (02:55:43):
Go, Oh geez, golly geezy is this he's he lived?

Speaker 5 (02:55:58):
Wow?

Speaker 7 (02:55:59):
He lived. I researched it before putting it on the list.
He goes into the river.

Speaker 5 (02:56:07):
That guy doesn't cuss, because if he did that, he
would have Now that may be the.

Speaker 2 (02:56:11):
Best example that that's a person who's been tested and
he does not cush.

Speaker 5 (02:56:16):
That's a good example there. So he's just moving along.

Speaker 7 (02:56:19):
He thinks he's having a great day. It's a sunset
over a river and a bridge. Come on, it's great.

Speaker 5 (02:56:24):
That looks like power.

Speaker 2 (02:56:26):
Oh yeahses together here a big work.

Speaker 14 (02:56:31):
Here we go.

Speaker 5 (02:56:32):
There comes big work. Somehow try to sleuth the company
over that, but wow a cost people do that. But no,
he flew into it. Obviously. That's the thing about these.
There's a by where I live. There's a little area
that they fly him out of. So you can go anywhere.

Speaker 2 (02:56:46):
And like if you've got power lines near a hospital
or somewhere that helicopters come, they put them.

Speaker 5 (02:56:51):
Balls on it.

Speaker 7 (02:56:52):
Yeah, yeah, you've seen the balls.

Speaker 5 (02:56:53):
Well, there's no reason to put none here because this
there's no airport or nothing a place, you know, like,
there shouldn't be any.

Speaker 15 (02:56:59):
Balls on it.

Speaker 7 (02:57:00):
No, so it should be a ballist wire line.

Speaker 5 (02:57:03):
We can save all y'all. It's the big arms ball
the good party. It was his parachute that got hung,
not his.

Speaker 7 (02:57:14):
Metal go carts that he's sitting in, all right, Greg,
go carts at the bottom of them.

Speaker 8 (02:57:19):
Yeah, but he's alive, all right, so we can I
did it slow mo here you can see the parachute grabs.

Speaker 5 (02:57:28):
To see that.

Speaker 7 (02:57:29):
I guess you can't.

Speaker 5 (02:57:30):
So that's not telephone lines. No, that's not clearly telephone lines, right, Greg,
don't they don't do that?

Speaker 9 (02:57:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:57:39):
So you push them together, the faces and they don't
want to touch each other. No, they don't. They do
that happened and.

Speaker 2 (02:57:46):
Look he really got Now you're in a buying Golly,
that sounds like you ad look, watch this thing.

Speaker 5 (02:57:56):
Oh my goodness. Okay, somebody went in the water.

Speaker 2 (02:58:04):
Hey guys, right, how about it? But yeah, he's okay,
that thing starts sinking to I bet it ain't liked. Yeah,
it was like because you can fly.

Speaker 5 (02:58:11):
But I mean, Adler's finding another angle too. But keep
going because there's another angle from somebody that was on
the other side of the bank looking back. Okay, let
me find that really was obviously not familiar with are yet?

Speaker 2 (02:58:22):
No, No, But you're saying there's no reason to have
those markers on it because there's no there shouldn't be
around airport, should be an aircraft there anywhere, the helicopter
or something. So if you're gonna do these little scooters
with the with the parachute, you need to realize nobody's
adapting to you because they're they're only putting the safety
stuff up for the normal aircraft.

Speaker 5 (02:58:42):
You don't.

Speaker 2 (02:58:42):
You don't meet that criteria, right. Yeah, there's no nobody's
landing anywhere. Wow, you got to really be watching, you do.

Speaker 5 (02:58:48):
Somebody was watching TV and the power went out, didn't they?

Speaker 2 (02:58:50):
Oh yeah, now for a while.

Speaker 5 (02:58:52):
Really great, it bounced right back. I don't know. It
may have burned down.

Speaker 2 (02:58:56):
I don't see if it did or not.

Speaker 7 (02:58:57):
All right, here's that other angles okay that you sent me.

Speaker 5 (02:58:59):
Yeah, guys, that's not what it was.

Speaker 2 (02:59:20):
Let me know when I have clear so to say
something serious, just not do it right now. He's having
fun boy, look at me.

Speaker 5 (02:59:28):
Yea.

Speaker 7 (02:59:29):
The lines did look like they kind of stayed up,
but they did.

Speaker 2 (02:59:33):
If they're not twisted, then we pick them back up.

Speaker 9 (02:59:36):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:59:36):
Can I point out something to but and maybe it's
just the optical illusion of the sun on the water.

Speaker 5 (02:59:41):
Does it not look like like orange water starts coming.

Speaker 7 (02:59:44):
Up, beautiful sunset, you know what it is, that's what But.

Speaker 2 (02:59:47):
Watch is that just because the sun's on the water.
It almost like I watched the kind of an orange
fountain that looks like colors like pink.

Speaker 7 (02:59:55):
It's I think it's because of this reflection of all.

Speaker 5 (02:59:58):
Does it not beautiful to say it's you know, I
think of cloud seating that made him do it.

Speaker 2 (03:00:03):
I didn't say that, Kim trails, but no, when.

Speaker 5 (03:00:07):
Night's requesting you slow down the national anthem fall but anyway,
go ahead.

Speaker 2 (03:00:11):
Well I don't want to throw this in because it's
like real serious. Oh, then go ahead, you do that,
It says fatal skydibbing accent in Illinois. This one did
not collision mid air. Yeah, this one did not turn
out that that is sad. Yeah, you're gonna make fun
of that, dude.

Speaker 5 (03:00:23):
No, this is I think.

Speaker 2 (03:00:24):
I think I'm gonna take the story and move it
because I don't think it'll go I don't have footage up.

Speaker 4 (03:00:29):
Yeah, stop, you know, sadly, I still think sadly.

Speaker 2 (03:00:47):
Sadly, sadly, And I'm just gonna keep saying sadly over
and over again.

Speaker 5 (03:00:53):
Sadly.

Speaker 2 (03:00:54):
Sadly that gives you a path never not funny. Okay,
I'm afraid I'm afraid of fall. I'm afraid he falls
in that category. We probably should be a little more
sensitive about it because it was probably embarrassing. And she
did follow on her face she knows, and she did
fast out and hit face first a little more, was

(03:01:15):
Greg half. That's her body trying to figure out what's
going on.

Speaker 7 (03:01:19):
Greg, Yes, here it is again.

Speaker 5 (03:01:22):
Okay, look, just keep on showing it for long, Greg,
and say, now I call that's a telephone line.

Speaker 2 (03:01:26):
Yeah, I'm just telling Is.

Speaker 5 (03:01:28):
This slow again?

Speaker 7 (03:01:29):
No, it's real fast.

Speaker 2 (03:01:30):
If he knows how Greg loves to tell you the
telephone line, he does. He does that in a second.

Speaker 5 (03:01:34):
You know how many times i'd go to somebody's house, cope,
wire down, it's the telephone. Do you think she's getting
hired out to re enact this? Probably this is a
big deal. Bless her. You don't mean that, Yeah, bless her.
I'm telling you. So that was a bless your heart
to have no feeling to it. Blessed dared her to
do that? That That ain't real. Okay, you can tell,

(03:01:54):
you tell, you can tell those eyes.

Speaker 7 (03:01:57):
Looks pretty real when she's face playing on the ground.

Speaker 5 (03:02:00):
It really does, it really really does.

Speaker 2 (03:02:02):
Blocked the ball with her hands.

Speaker 7 (03:02:04):
Graig, I think she fell on the microphone. That's that
sound that we're hearing.

Speaker 5 (03:02:08):
I think it right, So as we can get this
guy all right.

Speaker 2 (03:02:12):
By the way, not the best judgment on my part,
but I'm going to actually leave the last segment to
these guys without me here.

Speaker 4 (03:02:19):
Oh night. Really we're gonna watch that.

Speaker 2 (03:02:21):
We're gonna watch that anthem over and I want to
hand you the story, but I'm afraid y'all might actually
do it. Box seats, thanks for being here, y'all have
a good week.

Speaker 1 (03:02:30):
Here is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 5 (03:02:46):
It is the Rick Burgess Show. I am Speedy of
Greg Burgess, Eddie van Adler here. As mentioned, Rick snuck
out just a little bit early to go to Jordi
Henson's funeral as he is a ball there and going
by to get Sherry to get to the funeral. Very understandable.
So we're gonna hang out for the next but ten
minutes of this hour and bring you and the Wreck

(03:03:09):
Burgess Show. Big box seats are in the house. They're
all enjoying themselves. We've had it's a winter today and
burgess bomb. We've had delicious food. And I see you
were in there after it a little bit. Yeah, good stuff.
I got a sample at least a little bit of everything. Look,
I mean you might have a have a late lunch,
so let's get out. That's true, you know, got to eat.

(03:03:29):
There's a couple of stories I'd love to just bring
up for conversation and then let's see where it takes
us here. There's one and it's a trend that's kind
of a strange one. And then another, you know these
TikTok viral you know, challenges and stuff. There's one here
that's gonna get somebody really hurt. But first someone here,
I'm not good, they're not. This one here has got

(03:03:50):
some the attention of a lot of folks. Parents are
crashing honeymoons. That's becoming a new travel trend, a bizarre
one for modern newly wits. Parents and grandparents are actually
going on the honeymoon with the couple.

Speaker 2 (03:04:05):
Correct, uh, I mean they want them to.

Speaker 5 (03:04:08):
Well, you know, after looking at this, it looks like
some of them have been gifted the honeymoon, so they
feel obligated to invite who's gifting them that, which if
it's a gift, it's a gift, just going.

Speaker 2 (03:04:22):
But are now bringing their parents?

Speaker 5 (03:04:26):
Yep, there's uh, there's chatter on social media indicating that
some in laws are even inviting themselves to the honeymoon.
Well good, go bad, I know, yeah yeah.

Speaker 14 (03:04:39):
Not.

Speaker 5 (03:04:39):
First, a neighbor whose mother in law and father in
law went on their honeymoon honeymoon, uh, has made some
some some some information here on sodi media, so social media.
I won't read it all, but they said they felt
it was because they were gifted the couple the honeymoon
to Hawaii, so they felt obligated to invite them. Now

(03:05:01):
some are saying, hey, not on my honeymoon, ain't No.
I don't think the people that gifted them expected to
go with them. If they did, there's something wrong with them.

Speaker 8 (03:05:08):
They actually showed up and took some video if you
guys want to see video quick, yeah, yeah, yes, yeah,
they showed up on the honeymoon.

Speaker 7 (03:05:16):
Here's a guy.

Speaker 2 (03:05:25):
That's about how I would feel about it.

Speaker 9 (03:05:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:05:27):
Uh, this one load up my neighbors. Another one right,
took my grandparents along to their honeymoon to take your grandparents.

Speaker 2 (03:05:35):
That's even better.

Speaker 5 (03:05:36):
My first wedding was in Vegas. Uh, first wedding, that's
what it says. It says, my first wedding was in Vegas,
and I kid you not at my hotel was my
mother in law.

Speaker 2 (03:05:47):
Hey, how y'all doing good to see you?

Speaker 5 (03:05:51):
I signed my mother in law assigned to not just
my next door room, but no joined room. No, okay,
that's what we year.

Speaker 7 (03:06:00):
That's weird.

Speaker 5 (03:06:02):
Weird, y'all need to.

Speaker 2 (03:06:05):
Go another one here is uh, I mean knocking to
connecting door?

Speaker 5 (03:06:10):
Uh, it says here, this is a this is this
viral TikTok door kicking challenge, door kicking, door kicking to
another kind of kicking. It is teenagers are now kicking
in doors and scaring people inside and running away. The
challenge is can you get away? These trends are so stupid.

(03:06:31):
It's it's the uh, the taste this drink, this trend.
You know that's dangerous of course to watch out there.
But uh, it says here that teenagers are now getting
in trouble. You know, there's things called doorbell cameras now
that kind of capture what you look like. One couple
of people are wearing masks and creeping up to families homes,
then kicking the door running away, he says. Here deputies

(03:06:55):
took about two hours to catch a thirteen year old
girl and fifteen year old boy. They were arrested about
a half mile. I got video of that house.

Speaker 11 (03:07:02):
Yes, yes, I got video of that.

Speaker 7 (03:07:04):
This is a stupid door kicking challenge and.

Speaker 5 (03:07:06):
These kids getting shots.

Speaker 7 (03:07:09):
Yeah, they kicked the door door, come under, Yes, he's
under rest.

Speaker 20 (03:07:17):
You and another female, I'm assuming that's the female that's
in the house, are in crystal clear camera walking up
to somebody's house. You got a little thing over your head.
She's got nothing over her head. You're on crystal clear camera.

Speaker 6 (03:07:30):
Just you know, not be yes and you.

Speaker 20 (03:07:31):
I mean the camera is crystal clear. You're running up
on their front porch, you turn around and you kick
their door in. It is crystal clear camera. Those sorts
of very distinctive you are very distinctive.

Speaker 10 (03:07:47):
Clear.

Speaker 5 (03:07:47):
Yeah, I mean busted, busted.

Speaker 7 (03:07:50):
They found the thirteen year old by searching the mom's attic,
and she was the thirteen year old was in the house.

Speaker 5 (03:07:58):
She was just gonna stay up there.

Speaker 8 (03:08:00):
Now that there's thirty living up there. Right, they're thirteen
and fifteen. Uh, they are facing felony burglary charges.

Speaker 7 (03:08:07):
But with them being fifteen and thirteen, that'll yeah, but
probably go away.

Speaker 8 (03:08:11):
Hopefully you don't have a felony on your on your
record for life doing that. But that is incredibly stupid
because that could end your life by doing that.

Speaker 5 (03:08:17):
And plus, if you're gonna do it, get maybe just
plain pair of shorts that they can't identify you.

Speaker 2 (03:08:21):
Right, those those shorts are too memorable.

Speaker 6 (03:08:23):
No, don't do that.

Speaker 5 (03:08:26):
This one here, things we kind of have missed, but
we're hitting some headlines here. I buy crack houses. Uh,
your house is trash billboards or drawing criticism in Cleveland. Uh,
some out of state investors who buy crack houses.

Speaker 6 (03:08:41):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (03:08:41):
I've never seen it wording like that, but I see
those signs we buy houses no matter what.

Speaker 2 (03:08:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're crack houses.

Speaker 5 (03:08:48):
Well, this one here, the billboard reads, yes, I buy
crack houses.

Speaker 2 (03:08:53):
Pretty good.

Speaker 5 (03:08:54):
It has been put up by out of state investors,
but it's drawing some criticism from those that say it's
a little off color. While you're doing this getting a
little backlash from it looks like maybe that they've changed
their messaging, but uh, that's that's yes, I buy crack houses.
I was wondering why this guy knocked on my front
door the other day.

Speaker 8 (03:09:13):
All Right, if you're seeing around town these handwritten signs
that are like, you know, staple to telephone poles that
say we we buy houses for cash, but it's written
with like a permanent marker, I'm like, if you can
buy houses for cash.

Speaker 7 (03:09:28):
Can you not buy signs? Why are you riding it
with a sharpie and stapling it to telephone poles?

Speaker 5 (03:09:34):
Why do I not trust them when we sit down
to make a deal.

Speaker 7 (03:09:36):
Yes, yes, it bothers me.

Speaker 5 (03:09:39):
And I see these signs everywhere all the time.

Speaker 2 (03:09:41):
Yeah, that's a great point. I see them, but normally
they're like nice made signs.

Speaker 5 (03:09:46):
Yeah, and this is not affiliated with our sponsors. Sell
my house fast. That's a totally different, different thing. You know, Greg,
you've talked about these hoarding shows where the houses it's
maybe think of it and you can't even there's there's
not even a trail to get in there.

Speaker 2 (03:10:01):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (03:10:01):
And these companies come in and they clean it up,
and I don't know how dumpsters full of stuff's unreal.
People will be sitting in a little trail in the
middle of it. Yeah, yes, I.

Speaker 7 (03:10:11):
Told you to make a trail through their house and
the trashes all around us.

Speaker 8 (03:10:13):
I saw it together in the in the canyons of Utah,
like the people in the Golden Dickenses are going.

Speaker 5 (03:10:18):
To It's good. I saw another one I've told y'all,
and I saw one before people as a car parked
and there were so many rappers and stuff in there,
stacked up.

Speaker 2 (03:10:29):
There was just a place for the driver to sit.
And the car was just full of trash.

Speaker 5 (03:10:34):
How do you ride away?

Speaker 7 (03:10:35):
It's sad.

Speaker 2 (03:10:37):
Trash on the floor, but not like.

Speaker 5 (03:10:39):
That, right, and it's obvious it's a mental issue. Uh no,
I mean there was a little spot for the driver
and I'm talking like little Debbie rappers and everything just oh,
empty bottles. My favorite is is watching those shows and
they dig for like, you know, hours, and they find
something like, no, don't throw that, like you didn't even
know it was here.

Speaker 2 (03:10:56):
There was one this old lady. They would be like
a pickle bucket or something. She start crying, want to
keep it? You didn't even know you had it?

Speaker 5 (03:11:03):
Trying to negotiate with him in the front yard. Something's
got to go, you know. Yeah, yeah, you can keep
a flyswater or you can keep this little trash can. Yeah,
it's so funny.

Speaker 7 (03:11:12):
I found footage actually of that lady, did you all?

Speaker 5 (03:11:26):
It never gets old.

Speaker 7 (03:11:28):
I'm just doing that for me now, and I'm really
sorry to.

Speaker 2 (03:11:31):
Everybody that to the weekend. We're two minutes out and
for me and thank you for that. So what's her
life like now since that one there?

Speaker 1 (03:11:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:11:39):
Yeah, we started going to autograph places and I would
go and reenact it. Yeah, you have to fall on
like a type of cushion or something. But imagine your friends,
what if that was you Can you imagine coming to
work the next week? Will you we let you know?
You kidding? Oh my goodness. I mean we got out
just for singing the national anthem. We made fun of him,

(03:12:00):
didn't evault? It was our anthem.

Speaker 7 (03:12:01):
Yeah, you made fun of me while I was singing it, Greg,
So that's.

Speaker 5 (03:12:04):
Oh, yeah, I'm sorry about that.

Speaker 8 (03:12:06):
Did y'all see that horror episode where the like the
lady hadn't seen her cat in a while, they fell
and they started digging up here it is and he's
dried out.

Speaker 5 (03:12:19):
Yeah, did you see that?

Speaker 9 (03:12:20):
What was it?

Speaker 5 (03:12:20):
Probably maybe three three four weeks ago? They couldn't find
the lady and she was she was dead.

Speaker 2 (03:12:25):
Oh we did that story. Yeah, she was buried up
on her follow phone books or something.

Speaker 5 (03:12:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (03:12:30):
Oh yeah, then I heard she woke up and they
got some video from her say something.

Speaker 5 (03:12:34):
They got her video. That's gonna sit with me always.
Thank you so much for being with us, Thank you
for This
