be our first attempt to take a week long vacation.
Next week. Uh, so you know we'll be we'll be
wide open.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
It will be playing playing back some of the most
memorable moments of the first full seven months of the
Rick Burgess Show. Uh, they'll be we grab hours from
various shows and put together full shows every day Monday
through Friday next week. So uh be paying attention for
that and that and for those of you that maybe
have been joining us along the way, UH, this will
(02:33):
be a good opportunity for you to say, wow, So
here here we go. Uh, this was the first seven
months of how this thing has gone. Uh, and you'll
you'll go back and relive some moments that we've got
a lot of feedback from you on. So uh, we
still have no five days to go, and we're gonna
give you all we got this week.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Look look at looking around, look the men. Everybody a
little tired. Everybody little tired. But that's all right.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
We're coming off the weekend, so at least we got
a little bit of rest, and we wanted to go
wide open through the first seven months. We'll hit our
eighth month coming up at the end of this week,
going into August, and so we'll take a little break
and then we'll come back and drive you all the
way to Thanksgiving, Christmas and all that.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Lord will it.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
So so we do have much to covera today. Help
all of you ready or by good health?
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Here we are.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I look tired, and I sound tired, and I feel
tired because I'm doing a fast.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh yeah, I don't think you're supposed to tell everybody that.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Just don't tell people.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
No, Oh really, yeah, I mean, as you say, you're
really fast I'm doing.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I'm doing a fast.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
What I'm doing. I wonder how fast you can run
with that?
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Mean, we'll see how long. I've just started, like right now,
this is it right here? Usually I would eat right now,
and I'm not gonna.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
So pretty deep take little bites. Wow, you make your
set little goes at the beginning.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Yeah, I'm pretty deep into this fast. About four minutes in.
It's pretty rough so far.
Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah, so we'll we'll work through that today. And hey,
we're here for you, buddy. So yeah, if you remember,
every time you get hungry, you think of the Lord.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yes, okay, so.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
That's how you do it. Uh, and whatever you're you've
been praying about.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
So you just started just started almost there.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Black coffee is okay, I'm on one of those always Yeah,
black coffee is all right, and that's actually in the
Second Corinthians.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
So one of the things I noticed, you know, we
continue this whole dynamic which I think is one of
God's best jokes, and this is the whole concept.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Of men and women.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
You know, I will now make for man the perfect helper,
and he made woman and then we had a fall,
so everything kind of got out of hand. It's so
funny watching the wonderful, beautiful differences. Uh, and y'all will
get this immediately. By the way, I want to announce
for the first time since Speedy and his wife have
been coming to church, we're sharing and I go and
(05:01):
his son, Speedy and I actually saw each other and
spoke Sunday.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Yeah, it startled Sherry. Yeah it was interesting. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (05:09):
Right.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
And boy, he came in on a big day. Yeah,
came in on a big day, had a lot of responsibility.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Was able to witness something. Yeah. So we'll talk about that.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
But one of the things that goes into what Speedy
will talk about and we'll mention is that this is
one of those things where now back when you when
I had loads of kids.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Kind of the world that Adler's in.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
I remember if anything called you to church early and
you had to go separate vehicles, you really, if we're honest,
you kind of dug it. Hey, you know I've got
to get to church early. I'm not gonna be I'll
just meet you all there. You know the freedom that
used to come with that, But now when you're married
and you're empty nesters, it's really just kind of a hassle. Yeah,
because now you've got two vehicles and all that. And
(05:54):
so so I told her, because there's some things that
Speedy saw I had to do with the church, I said, hey,
I got to be there like a whole hour earlier
than we normally are there. And I said, so, I'm
just going to drive the truck and I'll meet you there.
Speaker 8 (06:08):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
And now Sheerry and I have a record that we
did break yesterday. Sarry and I have a record, as
y'all know, it even happened. You had to compete me
up for work. If we ever meet somewhere and get
in one of the cars, we never remember to go
get the other car. We always go home, go in
the garage and forget We have two cars.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Ye, yeah, gotta go back. So we did break we did.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Break a record Sunday by remembering to go back and
get get her car.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
So anyway, this is but this is one of those
and this is not some big you know, gonna make
a best of album or anything like that. But it
was just one of these moments with women and men
that are so interesting because all of you would have
been like, hey, yeah, and Sherry looked at me like,
you know that that look they give you. So she
gets to she gets to to, she gets to say.
She comes in frantic, okay, getting everything going, getting the
(06:54):
row out.
Speaker 9 (06:55):
You know.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
She kind of directs the class. And I was teaching
on Sunday and whatever, and I said, hey, and.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
She came out. What I said, you see my parking spot?
And she goes and she goes what I said, you
see that parking spot I got?
Speaker 4 (07:10):
And she goes, I don't I don't care what I said, babe.
I'm right up front, I said. I said, I'm not
just up front, I'm up front, facing.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Out in the shade.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
In the shade, I said, I got the best parking
spot in the entire church. And she goes okay, and
then just went along her way and you've always wanted that.
I didn't get much on that at all.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I mean, okay, yeah, it wasn't impressed.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
No, I mean, this is not just a spot. Speedy
saw it. See you noticed it? Is it the first
thing I noticed? But beside the handicap spot when it
goes regular spot?
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Yeah yeah, yeah, and you.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Got a shade tree handy me. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
And you know how they roll everybody out at church.
It's a big nightmare. I'm facing out. I don't even
have to back out of a parking spot. I'm on
the curb. Those over there right behind handy one. I mean,
if the only people that can get a better spot
than me, you have to be handicapped, you and and
and I was like I were't pregnant. I was so excited.
(08:07):
Now pregnant people don't have one this good. Oh wow,
senior citizens don't have one this good now, only they should, right.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
They were senior citizens passing his truck getting to their spot.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Oh yeah, you'll see what the senior citizens. But we
put something, We put something in the budget. Yeah, listen,
we put something in the budget that finally made us
all start worrying about the seniors.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
We bought two golf carts. We got two of those
big old golf carts and them show enough.
Speaker 10 (08:33):
Rick.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
I don't know if that means you don't care about it.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
No, no, no, it means we don't have to be concerned
about the men that's taking care of We've taken care
of them.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
That's what I meant. It's resolved. Not that we didn't care.
I mean you said you didn't care. We knew what
you mean. I mean concerned.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
We don't have to be concerned about that because they're
handled and we tell you, hey, can you imagine the
life of those go cart volunteers.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Oh cart told the stories on the way Oh my.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
Yeah, yeah, I guarantee they're told that no matter what
our system is, it could be better.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Oh yeah, yeah, you know it.
Speaker 11 (09:05):
So it can only carry the card at one time,
can only carry so many, So you're leaving somebody behind.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
That's what you picked us up. Yeah, well, somebody happens,
so the others in that truck.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
But I even had share even asked me about this
parking thing. So then we go out to eat afterwards,
and we take my truck. Why because I got the
best spots like, She's like, I don't like riding that truck.
I said, well, you can't beat that spot, and she
gave in. She goes, yo, that that that is? I said,
you think we can get out right with?
Speaker 1 (09:32):
What were you?
Speaker 2 (09:32):
You're? Well there baby? Yeah. So we get to the restaurant,
she goes, well, just park. So we park and I'm
walking up and let's say and she goes, what And
I said that they were better spots available, and she goes,
why do you talk to the best one?
Speaker 12 (09:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:44):
What is the what is your obsession with this? But
I finally just stopped talking to her and went talk
to guys about it. You just see where I park today,
and all the other guys like, man, now I saw.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
That is that you? That's your fifteen hundred? You better
believe it is? You know what? They said, only the
handicapped people beat you. I said, that's right. Those guys
are just different. Us guys are just like when I
backed in the spot, j C looks at me and says,
I think I could have gotten that in two turns. Oh,
And I'm like, well no, no, I got the trailer
hitch on the back the ball like you got to
(10:12):
allow for Oh, he goes, Oh, yeah, you're right, but
that funny. That's the first thing guys think about.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
We appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
My case is made you notice the spot without me
that first thing I know?
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Yeah, yeah, facing win the track.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:25):

So some other things to cover today. Someone put on
(13:30):
text Nation and I'd like to get some clarification on this. Okay,
So I am sixty years old. I will be sixty one,
Lord Willing in October. Okay, well that's fifty nine. I mean,
you don't need to be chiming fifty nine. So a
minute ago, when I talked about the Great Parking Spot,
(13:52):
somebody said, well, you're talking about senior citizens.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Rick, you are a senior citizen.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
But am I? I don't think I am. See I
always thought, see sixty five is where that started. Did
Now when you go and they try to give you
these discounts, I think we're in well. And remember I
remember I checked the mail lately. Oh yeah, by the way,
it happened. It happened again this weekend. Inside our church,
the older people of the ministry is called legacy, which.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Is a nice way of saying old people. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
And they keep sending me emails, and I keep saying,
I don't think I'm in this group yet. I mean,
I'm only sixty. Why am I getting the legacy emails?
Why am I being invited to the legacy luncheon?
Speaker 3 (14:31):
You know?
Speaker 4 (14:32):
And so it does hurt. I don't understand that I
haven't gotten any discounts yet at sixty.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Sixty five and older is generally in the United States
what senior citizen means.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Social Security benefits can be claimed starting at age sixty two.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
That is true, because Social Security just told me what
I want to receive. WHOA that looks like a great investment. Yeah, wow,
good luck surviving on that. When I saw how much
I had put in and how much they're gonna give me.
It'll make you want to throw up. Oh yeah, what
kind of what kind of scam is that.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
The government's so good at managing money?
Speaker 2 (15:11):
You aren't they? Yeah? Yeah, And you remember when when
George W.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Bush just wanted you to be able to have some
of it and invested yourself, and everybody jumped up and
down lost their minds.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
No, I want the government to squander it. Yeah, don't
let me do it razy.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
Don't let me talk with somebody in the private sector
that could actually get me a much greater return. But anyway, so,
so I sixty two, so security. I don't think you
can pull me in yet. If I can't even get
SOI security, and I'm not sixty five, I'm not even
sixty two.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
I don't think you call me senior.
Speaker 11 (15:41):
Seas You're gonna have to ask them what when the
start date is on that, because I apparently it's sixty
for the church. I'm just telling you, and well.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
They are sending me the email said, welcome to the Legacy,
six zero. It has got to be it. It's got
to be it.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
I think at sixty Oh you kind of you belong
in legacy.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Well, okay, okay, okay, let me let me throw this
at you.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
The way you walk with a limp, you know, you
limp into the trees. I look limp Sunday. Yeah, it's
just your kind of standard. You know. Did you say
it Sunday like you hit it?
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Well, I knew, I knew what to look. Shot me
in over my head over Oh yeah, but anyway, so
I did. But I will say this, but I don't.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
Think let me see, I think you have a legacy,
you belong in legacy, but I don't think you're a
senior citizen.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
Okay, right, I just think it's the well that works
is different than that senior citizens things. Well, yeah, let
me tell you about being with the Legacy group at
our church. It's like what John Snyder said about not
John Snyder, Rob Snyder, John Snyder. You didn't say anybody
when Rob Snyder said the beautiful thing about being fat.
(16:50):
If you want to be fat, this is the country
for it, Yeah, because you can always find somebody fatter.
What I've noticed is when you are sixty and you're
pulled in the Legacy group, you feel younger real quick. Yeah,
as soon as you go into You're like, I'm pretty young.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Now you hang out with that ler, you feel kind
of old, right, and he makes sure that he's clearly.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
That's not my intention.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
By the way, you're not all that nice to old people.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Hey, you also feel real tall hanging out with me,
So there's probka.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
So that's see what the fast has already done. You
felt little bit guilty about saying something about my age. Yeah, sorry,
but you're fifteen minutes in the fast. You're already changed, struggling. Yeah,
it's hard, I am.
Speaker 11 (17:29):
So we're seeing here on text Nation most churches do
recognize sixty years of age as senior citizen.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Hody.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
I'm so sorry, Reckon. That's why you're getting legacy. Rick
I turned twenty nine on the eighth. What were you
doing at twenty nine? I'd rather not say twenty nine.
Oh yeah, but I was close. I was two years
from a huge tarn.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
You were close. You know what you were doing? You're peaking?
Speaker 3 (17:53):
No, I believe that's called bottoming out.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Yeah, maybe twenty nine. I'll tell you what I was
doing twenty nine. I was either about to die or
change my lot. Yeah, my boy, right there, I mean,
I was a.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Bore the tension.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
They decisions matter.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
How about that's actually accurate. Yeah, big life change was coming,
I was, I was.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
I was about a year and a half from a
major life change and it was desperately needed.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Yeah. Yeah, even Greg wouldn't take my.
Speaker 9 (18:17):
Call to.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Hey, whoa that guy's trouble.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
What's he done now? You want me to get him
out of something? Oh boy, that looks like a I
look like a payphone. I'm not answering that you have ideas?
Speaker 12 (18:34):
Then?
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Did you know, la, Greg? Why is Rick Collinson? Lady,
this is two am. I don't even know where that
payphone is.
Speaker 15 (18:41):
Rick.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
All right, let's just say this. We're we're We're not done,
not even close.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
I know the left thought we'd stay quiet, give up
and let them reshape America without any resistance. But how
about that they were wrong. We've made some real progress, folks.
More and more people are waking up. They're seeing through
the lies, recognizing the damage, and returning to the truth.
And how about this, We're not backing down. No, not
on this show, not across Blaze TV. We're holding the

shout louder. We need to stand stronger.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Go ahead, admit it. This show is starting to grow
on you. Isn't good the Rick with your show.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah, let's just hanging around here in a little while,
for long and it'll get us start taking hold of you.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Thank you for being here, America. As we worked to
another day on another show in another week, uh and
much to do.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
A lot came out over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
As I mentioned Strange Encounters Episode nine, I visit with
men in the Arena. That's out Rick and Buff's greatest
hits in Radio Gold. Another episode of that out over
the weekend, so so go grab that wherever you get podcasts.
So there's a lot going on. So we've been we
talked about last week all the different you know, older
(20:50):
people and dying and Ozzy Osburne going on end and
Hulk Hogan and you know, Malcolm Jamar warn them all,
Jamal Jamal Warner THEO it's okay, Yeah, Chuck Mangioni, which
of course I hope that you add he went and
told your dad I.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Spent all weekend. It blew my mind that I and
there's that one record level of feels So Good that
he's got, like the flugelhorn. I do remember seeing that
as a kid. I listened to Feels So Good probably
four or five times this weekend because that's right up
my alley. Like I listened to instrumental jazz music like
(21:31):
that all the time, and my dad does. And I've
apologized for not knowing who Chuck, and it honestly messed
with my head that there is a song that you
guys all knew that I didn't know that falls right
in that category. So I listened to Chuck Mangioni all.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Weekend, Well that one. It's almost like you you play
you paid pennance? Yes, yes, or not knowing?
Speaker 4 (21:55):
By the way, I did not know that King King
of the Hill did some kind of comedy thing that
chuck Man you would appear on that show all they
had some kind of Chuckman Joni joke going, and they
had it an made it and everything you ever seen it.
It's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
But my dad had that record and I just didn't
know it. I just didn't know about it.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
And so I did you hit it to him across?
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
I didn't talk to him about it. Now, okay, I didn't.
I didn't want to. I didn't want to admit.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
It to me.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
And this dude is really like a Kenny g type
figure for that era of music. He was the king
of the flugel. My goodness, yeah, I mean, what what
was it? Cheers or somebody used this? A bunch of
a bunch of people have used this stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
But but let's talk about this. That name has got
to change. If you if you say, uh, what do
you do and you said, well, you know, I'm kind
of a well known in the world. Is one of
the finest trumpet players the world.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Everything that's cool.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Yeah, flugel horn, right, let's get that. That's got that
needs a pr campaign. Yeah, I don't hear a lot
of know. It's like, it's like you threw that french
horn you. I mean, I know it's necessary, it's just
not cool. Yeah, of course I call you French horn players.
Chars Adler's family, other than his dad, thinks the trombone's
not cool. But I mean I think it is. I've
(23:15):
discussed it's cooler than the flugelhorn. What about the marching
bands that they have people and they got a flute
and it's only like eight inches long, and they're in
the middle of this huge stadium.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
They're like.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Anybody here, they're playing a straw.
Speaker 4 (23:29):
Yeah, and I'm dressed up, I got a stuff on,
I'm in the band. I got the big fluffy thing
on my head.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
I got this little If everybody else was quiet, could
you hear it? I don't know. Do we open the door?
Speaker 4 (23:41):
I have a lot of them, so they tried to
get some volume. Do we open the door of the
difference between the flute and a piccolo?
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
Yeah, so I don't I don't know. Flute's a lot bigger, right,
piccolos waste?
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I don't know that flute they played. There are the
big flakes like the one that uh Ron just about. Yes,
that was all that was there. You know you're I
know you like the flute, Greg, you've been you know
that little one like the million dollar Man in Alabama.
There'll be about ten of them. That may be the
(24:17):
piccolo whatever? Do you look like a flute?
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Do you remember how funny it was when Brian Riggan
did that be how we came up with marching bands?
Because he was like was this necessary?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
And he gonna do? Who didn't come up with his
tuba Blair and he pretends he's sitting there with the tube. Also,
here's they go to marching like he starts trying to
get up. All right, here we go. You got the
small Okay, it's the pickle up. That's the one. I'm
talking about.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
That sty doll right there.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
You know ron Ron Burgandy was on the alto, wouldn't
he I think so?
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Either that the seafood or the sea flute. The yeas
flute might be the sea flo When he was going
around the room and fire out the tho if y'all
could play the flute. Which one would it be? Uh?
Speaker 3 (25:03):
So many?
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Let's say flutes. Where's like salt after I'd have to
go to the sea flute?
Speaker 9 (25:12):
You see.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
Yeah, looks weird, the base being bigger. I want it
looks like a muffler.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
It looks like a muffler.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
I think I may rock out out though. I'd like
to see you on the piccolo. But that's the one
I'm doing about.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
We don't have to. They're just wearing that.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
It looks like they're playing a straw. Just a little,
tiny little thing.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Once once again, once again, the tough culture that we
grew up in Picclo was never a possibility.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
No, bring clarinet in that ring. What was that thing
they tried to make you play at school?
Speaker 3 (25:49):
The recorder? Oh yeah, yeah, the old recorder of the
recorder one a penny to a penny hot cross bunch.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
That's the one you faced four yeah, yes a quarter?
Speaker 3 (25:57):
Oh yeah yeah, not just you know the old record
you're talking about the hooter.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
No, I don't know, that's different. The recorder was the
one arms cross corn. Yeah, the hooter though, because I
don't think I can google. Now there is the band
The Hooters was named after this. It has a little keyboard,
has the keyboard?
Speaker 3 (26:20):
Oh okay, okay, and got put on some.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Of the songs at the best. I like the Hooter.
That's a good band. Yeah they okay.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
I thought the Hooter's band name was named after something else.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Come on, that's your mind.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I really didn't.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
I'm sorry, but calls so he's holding right there there.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
It is tiny little keyboard with the.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Yeah you do that.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
It's got draw he.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Plays it at the beginning of him we dance. Wait
a minute, hold on, go back, please you sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
You bet a picture of it?
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Which one you?
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Ohyttle keyboard.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Saying hoo is just like a little funny name. But
it's called what is it? Reg was the official name
of it? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Let me see real name. I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
It had a little a little strongly in that it does.
This looks like a little keyboard that he holds in
front of it.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
That's what altica. It doesn't look like his.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
He can get his arm, hands around, fingers around the video, and.
Speaker 11 (27:29):
I think I think he holds with him, you know,
I think it's like this, Adam.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
You may need no it's not like that, Adler. Can
we play it out front? Watching I don't think it's
both fingers of those one.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Of those music videos that like starts with like a
fight in a car scene and all that kidnapping scenes.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
They may not show him playing it.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Let's see.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
They have several of their songs they.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
Drive in se that told you.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
I told you it was one hand. You're right, you
had them playing both. I could remember.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
That's a big left fingers fingers around that record. By
the way, how about that record? Good song? Favorite Hooter song?
Is that all You Zombies? Or is that All You Zombies?
Is a good one? Yeah, that's a dandy left here
I go.
Speaker 4 (28:30):
I'm that guy that brings us upout every time because
I have to be sharp about what I know about
the band the Hooters.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Uh that you know? You know that you ever ever
had that word?
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Every time you ring the top of the guy always
comes to that same fact every time.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
That's me.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
And they were the band that played on Cindy Lauper's
Girls Just Want to Have Fun album, and they wrote
time after time and wrote money changes everything.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
They wrote time after time, and the guy.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Singing the low end behind her that's the lead singer.
The time after Time is actually their song.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Yeah, they did it when I saw him and I
saw him open for I think Brian Adams.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
And Money Changes Everything is their song. Yeah, they played it.
I think they played both of those. Oh wow, they
were good.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
And we use money Changes Everything for the Wheels, the
big old Wheel.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
I love Money Change Everything. That's a cool song. I
really would rather them do it.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Money Changes Everything.
Speaker 16 (29:23):
Yeah, I know, but when we did there was one
thing we was thinking of, and that's money.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
All right, But now I know who Chuck and the
Hooters and and the Hooters.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
I did know that the hooter instrument I didn't know
about that. Is it a hooter before.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
Or no?
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Ass on the on the it's a hooter. It is
a hooter. I played the hooter. Would it be what
you say it was?
Speaker 1 (29:59):
The weak Burgers Show. Be bold and let the whole
world know that you listen to the Rick Burgers Show.
Cool merchandise is available, no, just go to rickburgershow dot
(30:23):
com and click shop.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
Yeah, the challenge coins in the patches, Wow, they're they're
really moving. So that's cool. Glad you're enjoying those, and
you know you never know when a new merch autem
will be inspired by you the audience. So a couple
of things to hit. We also need to talk. Well,
let me do this first, then we'll go to them.
(30:46):
So I'm finishing the music thing from last week. I
still don't understand that why Ozzy Osbourne was put on
stage in the state he was in. Have you seen
the story from the weekend? I know speed you printed
out today from the acist who was in Black Sabbath
and he either he said that he was shocked by
(31:09):
the state of Ozsley that they put him on stage.
He said he had to. He had a nurse with him.
He was he had a cane, he said. When I
saw him, he said he was in horrible health. Rick,
we didn't know it, but he was a week from dying, right.
He said he was so frail that I was shocked
by it. I wasn't prepared for it. I think he
was like, what are we doing? Uh, that we're We're
(31:31):
really going to put him out on the stage. He
played his solo stuff and some of his Black Sabbath,
so he was out there one of eight songs. Maybe
said he had to have help just in the rehearsal room,
two different people helping him. A nurse had to be
with him the whole time, and he was using a
cane and he said, like I.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Said, he was in his last day. Yeah, he was,
he said. He didn't really say much beyond the usual greetings.
When he sang, he sat in a chair. We ran
through some songs, but we could see it was exhausting him.
After only six or seven songs. We had a bit of.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
A chat, but he was really really quiet compared to
the Ozzie we all knew. And of course, after a
couple of weeks, it got to the point that I
guess we all thought we could pull it off. But obviously,
you know, him dying so soon after it. He said,
I just he he's saying, it's amazing that even got
(32:28):
through the show.
Speaker 11 (32:29):
Yeah, I saw a story on the last show and
what he went through in order to be able to perform.
It was so important to him to be out there
and the cause of the show, for Parkinson's and all
the money. Yeah, but he stopped taking I believe his
pain bads in order to be, you know, able to
(32:51):
get out there and do that. But he was in
a lot of pain but that's how important it was
to of.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
Course, considering how many times he played drunk, that's kinds
of a strange.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
Yeah, now he decides that he wants to have it Bill,
you know, there's plenty times he pulled his songs off
in much worse condition. But anyways, so so that was interesting.
Another thing over the weekend. Anybody see Happy Give More?
Speaker 1 (33:10):
Too?
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Uh? No, Reese did.
Speaker 11 (33:13):
He was the only family member that saw it, and
he sent the we were going to we just got
busy and didn't.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
He said.
Speaker 11 (33:21):
He said it was kind of funny, he said, if
you're a Happy Give More fan, But he said it
was just kind of weird. And he said that the
random people that would just appear in the movie sometimes
it didn't fit. It was just kind of he said.
You know, we watched it, him and a couple of friends,
but it was okay.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
I watched it, Oh, here we go, and Buddy, I
struggled to stay awake through it. But the cameos were
funny and uh, you know, I I'll say this, they
didn't mess it up. You know what I'm saying so
much harm. Yeah, they didn't blow it, but wow, the
cameos if you're into golf, You'll just every two minutes
(34:02):
you're like, oh there's a new what the top twenty golfer?
There's another one.
Speaker 2 (34:06):
Yeah, that's what he said.
Speaker 11 (34:07):
He said it was just random cameos that if you knew,
you knew, but if now you were like, what's going on?
Speaker 3 (34:13):
John Daly's very funny.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Yeah he is, Well, he's perfect for this.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
Well, to me, they can think that intrigued me the
most is that he lives in Happy Gibmore's garage. John
dat he lives there. That's hilarious. Yes, yeah, so I
thought it would be funny. Everything I keep saying is
there was no attempt to do a great movie. The
only attempt was that fans could have a good time
with it if you love the other They weren't trying
to do too much to your point, Adler, But did.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
They do enough.
Speaker 4 (34:38):
I've seen people say stupidest movie ever, loved every minute
of it, right, And then I've seen people say, hey,
I didn't like it. I was just spointed I and
think it was very good. I tried to get Sherry
sold on it. I could not do it. Yeah, we
we spent the weekend. Uh just kind of chilling, hanging
out together, having a blast which I'll share with you
in a minute, doing what she likes and plus also
(34:59):
what I we enjoyed time at the farm again. And
but I could not get her sold on Happy Gilmore.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
I tried listen to the kids were with us till
late yesterday. I say late, you know, in the day,
and I was like, well, I could try to watch
and she's like, I don't want to watch that, right, Okay,
I have to find the time watching. It's not the
best attitude from the waves on Happy Gilmore.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
I get it.
Speaker 11 (35:23):
We had an attempt Friday night, uh you know, to
maybe try to squeeze that in and she was like,
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
I found myself.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
I realized I was gonna have to put a lot
of effort in explaining to her Happy Gilmore period.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
She had no reference points. Uh huh. But what you
think about it that you know there's a new Happy
Gilmore huh, happy one saying that's the thing. I was like,
I can't put that.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
I can't put the effort if you didn't watch the
first one, and kind of like it, don't waste your
time with.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
This, yeah you know, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Me and love the first one, and a lot of
people are saying that, hey, it was kind of nostalgic
and all that.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
I get it. I wish I could remember the first
one better. It was on ago? Was that a long time?
Speaker 3 (36:03):
Is twenty five?
Speaker 2 (36:05):
There's a couple of time this past weekend?
Speaker 3 (36:08):
Yeah, I think it was thirty.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Did you see the Scottie Shuffler update from over the
weekend about he admitted it.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
He admitted he was the one that broke win. Yeah,
he didn't think the boom might would pick it up, right?
You remember that he said.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
It was him.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
Yeah, he didn't claimed he claimed, don't claim that.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
If you can pull one off during a major and
it picks it up on the microphone, that's pretty good.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
He said that he took a little, he little, a
little air off after his shot and he didn't realize
the boom Mike could pick it up.
Speaker 3 (36:43):
He did it. I mean, it's a stressful thing. You're
trying to get your shot right and while boy, after
you hit that shot, you can relax, I guess.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
A little bit.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
Somebody on the text said that they uh kind of
incorporated him getting arrested into happy.
Speaker 2 (37:00):
Yes about him ribbon they could have put it in there.
Oh yeah. By the way, Greg over the weekend, he
claimed it. He claimed that was me.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
I mean, let me tell you, I don't know how
I feel about him claiming it, but I'm glad that
he cleared it up. So here's one thing we can say.
Everybody that said it was a chair, everybody that said
it wasn't it was an absolute bark. And Scottie Scheffer
owned it. He did, he claimed, he sure did.
Speaker 11 (37:24):
Well, I guess you know, if you're asked directly about
it and you're not gonna, I mean, you're gonna put
it on your caddy.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
And here it was. I think it was some lady
at the Green.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Well, if it was me, I would have put it
on Greg. There was anywhere.
Speaker 11 (37:38):
Yeah, everybody would understand it would be Greg. That would
be the obvious.
Speaker 3 (37:42):
He's going to be asked right here and he was
going to admit it.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Did you fart? Yeah? That was me? It was it.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
Actually, he said he's surprised. He's surprised that doesn't happen
more often.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Oh yeah, sure, which, I get I get it. Swinging
that club and I wanted the open running away. It
was me. Yea, guys, we got.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
It probably, I mean, just for the people know what
we're reference we do.
Speaker 17 (38:24):
Don't forget, don't forget their punitendity almost holding the shots.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
A fantastic shot.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
I love golf.
Speaker 17 (38:38):
We've all had our little release that we thought was like, sure,
I wasn't expecting that that was a beautiful thing about
I may just said thinking, boom, I can pick that
up about my booms are incredible, and it was a
I could feel the relief that time.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
Now that that's pretty good shot here.
Speaker 9 (39:04):
My goodness.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
Oh yeah, you gotta give you some credit promoning. That
was absolutely Texas. You're right, that was a relief bark.
He was happy for that shot, for sure.
Speaker 11 (39:14):
He was so really goodness.
Speaker 18 (39:16):
I mean, how about this direct yep that was making
that was always not too many other people around made
of my caddy?
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Why are those mood mics? What a what an endorsement
for that?
Speaker 1 (39:31):
Governess is the Rick Burgess Show. Listen up, you know.
Speaker 14 (39:53):
What we say.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
You got a f.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
Broadcasting from the New World, the Rick Burgess.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Keeping in real America, and thank you for being with
us as we work our way to another Rick Burgess
show on a brand new week thank you for being
with us. Hit some of this earlier, but if you're
just now joining us.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Over the weekend, a brand new Strange Encounters came out,
a brand new Rick and Bubba's greatest Hits in Radio
Gold and my appearance on Men in the Arena is
now out to all wherever you get podcasts. Okay, So
we are trying to hit you with everything that happens.
(40:45):
It's the last time we're together inside the show and
then of course around the world. So here's a couple
of headlines rolling past another. This is another big one.
Trump announces a unprecedented trade deal with the European Union.
Finally got the European Union to come to the table,
(41:05):
and it looks like it is another biggie and that
says it came moments after the address and in the
agreement was about fifty to fifty at the time, but
they did some heavy lifting and finally got this done.
So it looks like the tariff for the European Union
across the board, automobiles and everything else is a straight
(41:30):
tariff now fifteen percent. So we have a fifteen percent
tariff opening up all of the European countries, which he
said Trump said, I think could say we're essentially closed now,
and he was talking to, of course, the leader of
the European Union there. And I've seen some of the
numbers on what this could be. And it also on
(41:53):
top of that, just right out of the gate, this
was the one you know you have in is the
European Union agreed to purchase one hundred and fifty billion
dollars worth of US energy. Remember, I mean we we
at one time were energy independent and we're in a
position that we could actually begin to sell energy to
the rest of the world. And then under the Biden administration,
we just threw all that away, but or at least
(42:16):
most of it away. So now we just sold energy
to the European Union. It looks like for one hundred
and fifty billion dollars. So so that hopefully is some
good news. And again we're getting better deals. Now we
have a better deal with the European Union than we
had before.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Yeah, So it was.
Speaker 11 (42:34):
A It was a good trip for him, and a
lot of folks aren't talking about it, but we are
most of talking about his golf game. You know, he
went over to Scotland, played one of his courses and
at seventy nine can still hit the ball pretty good?
Speaker 4 (42:45):
Yeah, Yeah, I don't know. Yes, I don't know enough
about golf to know Sety rip one after it, Yeah,
bewn it.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
But I know enough about what it requires to do it.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
And the fact that he was hitting it as smoothly
as he was seventy nine, who wasn't.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
He was playing the professional golfer. Remembery he goes now
who ball with clothes? He actually yours with him? Bryce,
that was it.
Speaker 11 (43:13):
Yeah, So you know, and it's weird too because with
the Open wrapping up here recently, we're talking about Scottie
Shuffler winning that one and then him own it up
to it. It is weird for it to be summer
months here and see everybody in jackets and pullovers there
because it's in the upper fifties. Yeah, he's just the
windy conditions and stuff, but he got out and played.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
I hear a lot of good things about Scotland, but
the weather there is always I mean, it's bad a
lot of the time. So my concern is that I
wouldn't judge it right. I need I need to do
a lot of homework on what time of year to
go there to experience this beauty and not be miserable. Yeah,
and you know, because it'll have miserable weather.
Speaker 11 (43:52):
It will man and you know here the look weather
can change on a dime. But there really, I mean,
something could be out next thing. You know, it's winds
blowing fifteen miles an hour, and it's it's raining sideways,
and then it clears up and oh there's the sun again.
So the open got lucky on their days. It was
like one kind of bad, but most was was very pleasant.
Speaker 4 (44:13):
I've never been to Scotland, but I have friends who
have been and they rank it very, very high. But
you but you got it and you've been right, Adler.
Yeah was the weather good when you went?
Speaker 3 (44:22):
It was great? Yeah, I think we got really lucky.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Was Ireland, but y'all know, I don't remember. Oh it
wasn't Scotland, No, it was in northern Ireland.
Speaker 11 (44:30):
But the climate, the weather's you know, very similar. Of course,
that's what we're really talking more about the weather.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
Okay, so yeah, but what's funny about Ireland? I was
in actually southern Ireland.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
Oh and that was when.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
You know, we had the funny story about them thinking
we were from Texas and all that. But I will
remember this, and I know I've said this before, and
I don't know what. I knew just enough about golf
to know how funny this joke was. Those of you
that loved golf, you would have really laughed because now
we're back over in Ireland again, because we're confused in
Scotland with Ireland.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
But back over in Ireland.
Speaker 4 (45:05):
Uh, you know, they'll play golf in the driving rank
okay and and all that. And I looked out there
and I was with you know, the guy who was
taking us around. Yeah, you're talking about Tom Dorian. And
I looked at them, like, wow, so they're they're they're
playing He's like, well yeah, And I was and I
knew enough about how the rough is in America versus
(45:25):
there there. It's like they don't do anything to it.
It's wild, like like like the Wild Kingdom. And I said,
I said, so y'all don't y'all don't do any work
on the rough and he looked at me, goes, but
you're not supposed to hit it there. And I thought, well,
that's a good point.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
That'll teach you. That'll teach you to hit it over there.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Stop.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
But boy in Ireland. I noticed the word rough. It's
it's oh, yeah, they don't do much. You hit it
over and there you're in the wilderness. You don't know.
You're not supposed to hit it there. It's not but
these years better you know bushad there. Yeah. But so
I have been the challenge I have been.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
I have been to Ireland, I have been in Northern Ireland,
but I've never been to Scotland.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
And uh, I've heard the bell Rick's travel bell. People
know why I'm hitting it.
Speaker 4 (46:12):
Yeah, that's uh that that was something that when always
that some things come over from the Rick and Bubby years.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
The bell still here.
Speaker 4 (46:18):
And so it's the anytime I mentioned where I've been,
everybody has to hit the ball.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
It's uh.
Speaker 4 (46:23):
But Scotland, the weather I think has to be crucial.
But i've heard were you blown away by its beauty?
Are you very pretty?
Speaker 2 (46:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (46:31):
I've heard it's just you can't even believe what you're seeing.
But but I'm worried about the weather. We do have
to be any bad weather.
Speaker 11 (46:37):
I think I sent you of Trump tea and off
he does break one right down.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
That's fine right.
Speaker 4 (46:44):
Also, Bubba Wallace, Yeah, makes NASCAR history winning the Brickyard
four hundred.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
So he's the first.
Speaker 4 (46:53):
Black driver to ever win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on
the the oval course the old Rickyard. So they did
because I think they had tried to make it like
a half oval, half road course or something.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
So it was a straight up Brickyard four hundred.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
I haven't been to what it says, yeah, which was
never really a great track for NASCAR.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
Couldn't pass, but they have rained.
Speaker 4 (47:15):
They had a raiding rain delay two overtimes and they
thought that, and he also was afraid he was gonna
run out of fuel, but he did make it and
he did win the Brickyard four hundred. Now did they
make them do they make them drink milk for the
kiss the bricks? They do kiss the bricks. I saw
Bubba doing that, Bubba Wallace, not Bubba Bussy. But even
(47:38):
though if he was there, I'm sure. Yeah, but Michael
Jordan had to be happy. Yeah, he owns the team.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 4 (47:45):
Any Hamlin together, Hamling pulls on earnhard. He drives for
somebody else but owns another team.
Speaker 8 (47:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Oh really, yeah, yeah, I saw that on that Netflix series.
But that was interesting, all right. So there you go.
Speaker 11 (47:56):
Uh, I will say this Bubba Wallace getting to meet
him at one of the Stallion's games. He was he
was very kind, he was he was he was a
lot of fun. Yeah, and now look I hung out
with him for a thirty minute.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Yeah, but I'm just saying hang out minutes or jerk. Yeah.
But he was like, yeah, man, whatever what we got
to do?
Speaker 11 (48:15):
You know, because there was some things that they were
going to do, uh that that kind of fell through,
so we could kind of just said, well how about
y'all kick field goal?
Speaker 2 (48:23):
And he was like yeah, let's go. So Greg, they
said they went back to the oval last year. Okay,
so there we go back to the old, back to
the brickyard. Four hundred bubble Wallace wins. And then European Union.
Speaker 4 (48:37):
We got a great trade deal with them, fifteen percent
tariff across the board and one hundred and fifty billion
dollar purchase of energy.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
So there's you some update.
Speaker 3 (48:47):
Yeah, that's Trump's biggest deal so far and maybe the
biggest deal in history.
Speaker 4 (48:52):
I thought Japan was the biggest deal in history before that.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He was told good
(49:20):
luck finding a job that would pay him to be
the class clown Rick Burgess.
Speaker 2 (49:34):
I do wanna. Yeah, I see you.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
Uh, let's see what is uh When I say maldenm O,
is that uh that's Missouri?
Speaker 19 (49:43):
Right?
Speaker 2 (49:44):
Yeah? Isn't m O Missouri?
Speaker 3 (49:46):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (49:46):
So out of Missouri? Yeah, just a little correction.
Speaker 4 (49:49):
I'm with you. It is bigger than just one hundred
and fifty billion. But where I was wrong, it looks
like you were too. Over the weekend that was being
presented as the European Union about seven hundred fifty billion
dollars worth of energy. But it's only one hundred and
fifty billion dollars worth of energy. There's another six hundred
billion of other investments.
Speaker 2 (50:09):
So you're right.
Speaker 4 (50:10):
The total deal is actually seven hundred and fifty billion,
but only one hundred and fifty billion of it is energy.
Speaker 2 (50:17):
But I'm with you.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Texture Over the weekend, it was being reported that they
bought seven hundred and fifty billion dollars worth of energy,
but it's This story lays it out separately, says one
hundred and fifty billion worth of US energy is part
of the deal in addition to making six hundred billion
other investments in the US, So the total package is
(50:38):
seven hundred billion, but one hundred and fifty billion is energy,
according to this written story here from Fox News.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
Oh no, I think you said it right now. But
I think it's seven hundred and fifty billion worth of energy,
and then on top of that and a six hundred
billion investment more in the US, So I think it's
seven to fifty plus six hundred.
Speaker 2 (50:57):
It doesn't say that in this story.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (51:00):
It says one hundred and fifty billion of energy in
addition to making six hundred billion and other investments for
a total of seven hundred and fifty Okay, that's what
the written story says. But I think over the weekend,
the way where you're getting that from Adler customers and
the texture and me too, is it was being presented
that the that there were the seven hundred and fifty
(51:20):
billion was energy, and that I'm just going to tell you.
The story I'm holding right here in my hand does
not say that. It says one hundred and fifty billion energy,
six hundred billion of other investments.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
That's what this story says. That could be wrong.
Speaker 3 (51:35):
Seven to fifty of energy plus six hundred of other.
Speaker 4 (51:37):
Investments, one hundred and fifty billion and then six hundred
billion on top of that, for a total of seven
to fifty.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
That's what this story says.
Speaker 4 (51:46):
Now what you have maybe maybe maybe this Fox News
story is incorrect, but that's what this says. Okay, okay,
Now you're according to this according to foxnews dot com,
they they break it down whole package, seven hundred and
fifty billion. One hundred and fifty of that's energy. Okay,
six hundred that's.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
Hard of the deal. In addition to the six hundred.
Speaker 4 (52:08):
A lot of hand movement, a lot of movement of
other invents. We're trying to put it where it goes
and move it where it might be.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
But I mean, that's that's a win. Yep. And I
think that.
Speaker 4 (52:16):
But I think where everybody's confused because that's where I
heard it first, too, Because when I first saw one
hundred and fifty billion, I thought, well, that's not what
Trump said. I think Trump said it's seven hundred and
fifty of energy, and I think he may have been incorrect. Ooh,
I think it was one hundred and fifty of energy.
Six hundred.
Speaker 2 (52:33):
He is right.
Speaker 4 (52:33):
That is a total deal of seven hundred and fifty billion,
and that's really all we need to be concerned about.
But it's but it's one hundred and fifty billion dollars
worth of energy. Is still a good thing that we're
actually exporting energy to Yeah, so so yeah, I think
that Trump actually caused that confusion by saying in his
quote that it was a seven hundred and fifty billion
dollar energy bill.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (52:55):
Yeah, And because because the other's kind of vague, it
says six hundred billion of other investment, so some might
could be in it. I don't know, but you're right,
seven fifty total.
Speaker 2 (53:04):
So so there you go. But that's that's a that's
a great deal. Yeah. Uh So.
Speaker 4 (53:09):
Anyway, other things that we need to touch on. It
looks like those will come out of.
Speaker 2 (53:15):
Hey Birds today.
Speaker 4 (53:27):
As we approach the first ever Burgess Show best of album,
coming out this fall, just in time for Christmas. A
suggestion from Jeremy Hey Bird, Hey Bird, I'll make it
easy on everybody. The next best of album, the first
one coming out this year. Just do unscreened phone calls,
(53:48):
but only from the last hour to do that.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
Do that. You got your album, the whole album? Yeah,
just the whole album on screen. Car that's funny.
Speaker 4 (53:58):
Let me say Friday Friday was one of those days
where you think I believe that, which is fine.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
I think the audience loves this.
Speaker 4 (54:05):
According to everybody everywhere I was this weekend, there was
a point where I felt like, we have no control
over the show. This show is completely gone. If there's
any attempt to control it, there's it's impossible.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
Right.
Speaker 4 (54:17):
It has taken its own life and off it goes.
It doesn't even belong to us anymore.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
There it goes. So that was a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (54:25):
Hey Burge, Hey Burge, Oh this is I'd like to
He wants to know how we feel about this one. Okay,
so he said, maybe should I tell you that much
about you?
Speaker 2 (54:35):
I would?
Speaker 4 (54:36):
I guess I can. You don't tell me not to
Here I go again. We had somewhat at our church.
Ought to say it this way. Who broke their foot,
had surgery, fell broke it again awaiting another surgery. So
my wife and I wanted to take her dinner. Okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
I was told she loves Chipotle. Not a fan. I've
never read there.
Speaker 3 (54:59):
Over Oh, not a fan rick Over.
Speaker 2 (55:03):
I will say this. Their commercials make you want to
eat there. Let me tell you that chicken cooking they
buy a few on this show, I'll change my mind.
I've only been there one time. Why have I not
ever eading? I don't know. I like that style of food.
I didn't hate it, Like.
Speaker 3 (55:19):
If you like Mo's, if you like yeah, any of that.
It's good. It's good.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
I'm from San Antonio, Rick, so I know what I'm
talking to.
Speaker 4 (55:30):
So she sent me a screenshot of her preferred order.
Very simple chicken caesadilla with some saucer. Couldn't be easier, right, bird,
That's right?
Speaker 2 (55:40):
You know the answer that question. You see what this is.
Speaker 4 (55:43):
I rolled up at the local Chipotle, waiting in a
line longer than I'd like, but I was doing it
for the Lord, so it was okay. Got to the
front place my order. The employee looked at me and said, sorry, sir,
that's online only online only. What I said, I'm sorry,
what you on? You w not make it here? You
can you can only order that online, sir.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
Uh huh.
Speaker 4 (56:04):
And then he says, so let me get this straight,
doing my best impression of Birge. I have to use
an app order it. The order comes to you and
you make it and I pick it up. Yes, it's
online only you can get you can only get that online.
So wait a minute, I want to say this again.
I literally download the app, step over here, order the
(56:26):
case of dia, come back here, and you'll make it
back there.
Speaker 2 (56:30):
That is correct, sir, what in the world this is?
But I can't tell you right here.
Speaker 11 (56:35):
I gotta as you said, I gotta walk to this
other I'm here, I'm gonna sit down over here and
order it.
Speaker 4 (56:40):
And then so if I say the same thing that
I'm going to type into the app to you right here,
y'all won't go back there and fix it.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
No, I have to go over here, get the app,
order it.
Speaker 4 (56:49):
On that, walk back to where I'm now standing, and
then you've made it in the same place that I
can see back there.
Speaker 2 (56:55):
That is correct. Guys, what kind of world were living in?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
This is one percent true?
Speaker 2 (57:01):
That's great.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
It's a digital exclusive. And the reason that they're saying
is because it helps The digital only approach allows Chipotle
to manage preparation and cooking time more efficiently, especially during
peak hours. But you know, it's just for people to
get on the app. She is all about driving driving
people to the app, Yes.
Speaker 4 (57:22):
He said, Unfortunately, he had me because I had to
get this for this person here. So I got out
of line, went in the dining room, download the app,
place order, walked back up and got a case of
That's great, it makes perfect sense, he said, Burge, what's
the world coming to? You can't have nothing. That's just ridiculous.
You can't even I'm standing here order to give my
(57:42):
come on. This would have been one of those moments
where Sherry, if she had not been with me, people said,
you have him over up Chipotle.
Speaker 2 (57:49):
I took over the whole place.
Speaker 4 (57:50):
Yeah, I mean I would. I would have climbed over
the counter and made a case of d I think
those kinds of things in furiated me.
Speaker 2 (57:59):
That makes no since.
Speaker 3 (58:01):
That shows how valuable getting people on your app is.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
The app only deals.
Speaker 3 (58:05):
It's it's crazy they want you on the app.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Leads to a story that leads to a story.
Speaker 3 (58:11):
I'll share.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Okay, something happened to me.
Speaker 3 (58:13):
You can't spell, you can't spell crap without app? You
know what?
Speaker 1 (58:20):
This is the Rick Burgess Show in a world that
has gone nuts. They are here to well to pin
it up.
Speaker 4 (58:41):
All right, America, all right, let's let's all, let's all
let's let's get our.
Speaker 2 (58:44):
Feet under It's okay, another week. We will do unscreen
phone calls today.
Speaker 4 (58:49):
There one time we were gonna ban Monday's because it's
like pulling teeth we y'all out there sometimes.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
But the last Monday, you really rose up.
Speaker 4 (58:59):
You're really did and so we'll do those unscreen phone
calls today. At some point she'll be paying attention for that.
As we recapped the weekend, throwing in the headlines you
need to know and doing stories from the weekend. One
of the things that I know, I'm now, Greg, I
know that you had some of your grandkids this weekend.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
They stayed with you.
Speaker 4 (59:19):
Yeah, a couple spent the night, and then the other
two lived right down the road. So when it was bedtime,
everybody went home. But besides that, I had.
Speaker 2 (59:26):
All four of them, well, the two that were staying
with you. I understand that they climbed up into the helix,
the helix bed they did, and absolutely, and hey, they'll they'll,
they'll look, I'm gonna admit it.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
I went upstairs. Lisa had to deal with it. What Well,
they're more comforted by her when they're crying in the
middle of the night. But not that they were, but
they will get them getting.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
We had a blow up mattress two in there, and
but I went in there yesterday morning. Both of them
pole they loved the Helix. Though they told me about it,
I know they didn't. Now they throw the legs all
over you sleeping on the he Now, even though Lisa
was very comfortable in the Helix, feet in her face
and stuff like that, Abby didn't help. It wasn't Helix's fault.
It's amazing that kids can sleep sideways. What's so hard
(01:00:06):
about sleep? Sleeping? Right? This was the King's bed they want, Yeah,
they won't know. They won't.
Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
So you got the King and you had it customized
the way you like it. Your grandkids seem to love it.
They seemed to like it too. You must inherit that
saving twenty seven percent. Right now, go to Helix, sleep
dot com slash big Vox and what what that's gonna
You got to go to the sleep quiz. This just
takes a few minutes. They want to know that your
sleep positions, how do you sleep? They want to know
(01:00:31):
what type of mattress you like. Say goodbye to back pain,
say good say good night to night sweats if you're
if you're an adult, you won't be doing the motion
transfer anymore. Little kids they're gonna do no matter what.
But not, but they also have mattresses. If Greg really
wanted he go back to Helix and he could get
a customized mattress for his grandkids.
Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
That's true.
Speaker 4 (01:00:52):
They've got children's mattresses to look at that. Uh so,
go right now to Helix, Sleep dot com, slash big Vox.
They'll make it customized to you are whomever and your family.
They'll send it to you directly, no shipping, don't have
to pay shipping. You have one hundred nights to be
sure you love it, and if you don't, they'll refund you.
You will love it because it's made for you. He'lic
(01:01:13):
Sleep dot com, slash big Vox. Start sleeping on a
mattress that was made for you. Twenty seven percent off
right now. Also, Rick burgesshow dot com under sponsors. So
speaking of food over the weekend, So Sherry and I
my wife, we've made a commitment that you know, we're
going to spend more time at the farm.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
I mean, we love this place. It's special to us.
You know.
Speaker 4 (01:01:39):
We sometimes you can be busy with life, and you know,
it really is true. Why have something that you've invested
in and something that you enjoyed that you never use.
So what we're doing now, when the two of us
we have a weekend that neither one of us have
a whole lot going on. We're going down there and
we're staying and we're loving it. We're having a great time.
So it was Saturday morning. I love waking up at
(01:02:00):
the farm, and you know, especially on days I can
sleep to when I don't want to. It's not all
that beautiful in the dark, but I mean when you
when the sun actually comes up, and I like to
take that cup of coffee, buzzbox coffee because it's everywhere
I go.
Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
I like to stroll out on that porch. As James Gregory,
god rest his soul said, perfectly, front porches is when
America was great again. He said, Opie Taylor was not
raised on the deck when everybody struggling back to the deck,
that's when this whole place fell apart. Okay, so we've
got an old house with a little front porch and
(01:02:34):
a couple of.
Speaker 4 (01:02:34):
Little rocking chairs. Gary did fix the rocking chair addler.
It is great, Thank you, Gary Ny, I mean I
had that. All you had to do was tell me,
don't send Adler down there.
Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
Do my job. So anyway, and Sherry says, oh, by
the way, I didn't.
Speaker 4 (01:02:50):
I don't really have anything in the fridge for breakfast.
You may need to go get us something, not back
to the pig.
Speaker 20 (01:02:56):
No.
Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
So I said, well, I'll tell you right now. If
you're giving the green line of that, I know where
we're going. And I talked her into it. I said,
when we're down here, I said, if I don't do
campus breakfast, we.
Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
Go, we'll go up the street, go up to dirt road.
Turn right. It's not bad. It's not bad at all. Well,
were you shorts inside out again or you don't know,
but I was.
Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
I was looking a little. I was farm looking. Okay,
it's it's it's jim shorts and T shirt and hair
all over my head and beer going everywhere. All right, So,
but I think, and I've even have a pair of
house shoes on. But I'm not getting out because I'm
just gonna hit the drive. Oh okay, Well, let me
tell you when you got problems. I'm not the only
person in this part of the world that does this
on Saturday, apparently, and I thought it was later, so
I didn't think i'd have any issues missed the rush.
(01:03:38):
I didn't miss the rush at all. I turned in
and couldn't get off the county road, and I'm like, oh, way,
that's backed up so far. I can't get off the
county road. So I make a decision. I'm going inside now.
I have house shoes on. Okay, let me tell you,
if you see me in this part of the world,
you will you no wonder people think I've returned, because
(01:03:58):
when they see me, they like, Rick, he's giving up.
And so I go over and I park, and I
think I'm being so slick the people sitting in this line,
I'm going in there. I bet that guy in there
or whoever, they ain't got nothing going on. I'm I'm
onna be in there, and I people want to be
walking on my back. I think I'm being so sharp. Well,
I know where it was true that there wasn't many
(01:04:21):
people in there. And God bless him, God bless him,
what a what a kind sweet gentleman one was doing
everything else. Well, there's a reason, Rick, that when you
got that kind of demand on the drive through that
means now the all the resources are in the drive
(01:04:41):
through moving to the front, and they've they've left you one.
I mean, heart of gold. Heart of gold can only
do so much. What a nice, wonderful human slow slow, slow, yeah,
but a wonderful human being the salt of the earth.
Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
You had to put a plumb bob on him. See
if he's moving. There's only there's only there's only there's
only one, only one person in front of me.
Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Of course, I do what every man has to do.
What I've identified the cars behind, the guns.
Speaker 21 (01:05:15):
This identified the cars behind and here comes and I
have to beat him. Okay, you're not because if I
can't beat him, this is a same And I come
and say I'm dead.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
It was a van.
Speaker 4 (01:05:30):
I said that van was practically half the van was
in the road. There's no way he's gonna be and
all shout, I'm in line. I see him that gets
to the door. I'm like, he's almost to the worm
and you.
Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
Ain't even moved. And was there any was there a
part of you? So I'm going back to the truck.
Stay with me. Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:05:45):
Every time I've tried that, whatever works out, I will
now do the impression of a man with a heart
of gold.
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
He's not the problem. I'm the problem.
Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
I love him. I've seen him in there before. He
could not be kinder, need to be a little quicker.
He's not the best guy for a crowded situation, but
he's great from hill to day when no one's in there. Yeah,
my conversation his wheelhouse.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Are you ready?
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
I think we're rolling. He's taking orders, and I think
I'm gonna beat the van. Gosh, that van.
Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
This was back. And then I think he's got a
big line for him. I'm still gonna win.
Speaker 4 (01:06:15):
It becomes a contest. So and so, all of a
sudden he goes, I mean I'm next. Okay, I'm next,
and he goes, hang on a minute, and he goes
there so letting.
Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
He goes, Rick, all right, I'm not even all the
way around.
Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
The van's right here.
Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
How many times he picked his feet up and put
him back down. And then I go over and I think,
now he's got to sell the orders over here, And
he looks up at the screen. You ain't gonna beat
the van, right, no Ah, he's confused. Oh my goodness,
bless him.
Speaker 3 (01:06:50):
Lord taking last chicken.
Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Mm hmm. Now Rick shuffling back. So Tim conway away
in the world.
Speaker 3 (01:07:01):
All right, all right, that turn was a thirty second turn.
Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
Now the person behind me here's me, start breathing. No,
but he's here's me bringing this so hard. He goes
you all right, I said, I think I'm a cardiacrect.
Speaker 2 (01:07:18):
Beat me.
Speaker 4 (01:07:19):
All of a sudden, the van disappears ahead of me.
I go out the other door.
Speaker 2 (01:07:25):
I leave, you leave, get back in my car. Come
back around because the line has gone down so much.
Get back in line.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
I leave.
Speaker 2 (01:07:33):
No, you went from inside back to because I realized
that there weren't that many people. And I come around
and I'm up to the speaker as soon as I
come around. And so I come around.
Speaker 4 (01:07:46):
Ahead of the game, and I look back at the
poor person that was behind me at the counter. He
was still there, like, Hey, you think getting beat by
the vans bad? How about a guy leaves the restaurant
and gets in.
Speaker 2 (01:07:58):
His car and then beach, Oh that's bad.
Speaker 4 (01:08:01):
I went back out and it was, and it was
the line that was quicker, and I got out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
God love it. He couldn't do it. Hard to be
able to pull that off. You got to have that
guy in there they can get after and then they
didn't have him.
Speaker 4 (01:08:13):
No, what I wasn't prepared for was he he would
stop the ordering process to go get everybody's orders who
had already ordered. I thought that'd be another person. Yeah,
but everybody was on that drive through. Guess what I
was ordering. Guess what I was ordering? Chicken biscuits to
last check and I thought I got something got to happen.
And then you look at it, like, wait a minute,
that line is shorter.
Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
It got shorter, and and and this is that if
you stayed in it, you'd have been on up there.
Oh you'd have been back to Sherry. Yeah, you guy.
But asked behind me, asked me if I was okay?
I was.
Speaker 14 (01:08:44):
I was.
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
I was breathing, blowing out so hard much, because you
are right. I think I'm in Cordia cares.
Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
I can't believe the change. Every time I change, I'll
change lanes on the road, and that lane starts to
go as soon as I get out of it, changed
lanes at the checkout.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
I can't guess it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
I and then everybody's beating me.
Speaker 4 (01:09:05):
That happened to me like two maybe three times, And
from now on, I go look I know the line
looks bad. I know is better than going to drive
through inside even if you look inside, there's nobody in there.
Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
I think matter.
Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
I think, I think right now restaurants would rather be
in the drive through and on and out. They don't
want us coming in. No, no, no, I think they
punish us for coming in.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
All drive through orders go to the front. If you're in,
then you're gonna you're gonna go to the back.
Speaker 4 (01:09:31):
Yeah, hold on a minute, I was so close to order.
But then how long would it taken from.
Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
Him to get it?
Speaker 15 (01:09:36):
For him?
Speaker 3 (01:09:36):
God love him a long time.
Speaker 22 (01:09:38):
He did.
Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
Probably tell you to pull up. Now you're kind of
thankful for Wait on a minute, wait a minute decating.
Without that, you wouldn't have got back in the t
in his system.
Speaker 3 (01:09:46):
Yeah, blessing, God loved him.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
Hard to go.
Speaker 1 (01:09:50):
This is the Rick Burgess show. This is what Trump
(01:10:17):
had in mind when he sought to make America great again.
The Rick Butcher's Show.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
So there we go. Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:10:26):
I don't know if I saved time. I think I
might have. I think I maybe missed it by two cars.
I think I think I would have. I think if
I had have stayed where I was I'd have been
up for two cars earlier.
Speaker 8 (01:10:39):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
You know what people are saying, you really messed up.
You should have ordered from the app by way sure left.
I didn't even know this place had an apple. I
guess they do.
Speaker 4 (01:10:46):
Also about the time, I was still trying to make
inside work too. You ever heard this person before the
persons that it's time to chat with the person who
is super nice?
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Yeah, uh so it's so so and so. Yeah, that's
the meeting right there. You know I might need I
don't know, I might need some mustard. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
You know, we just moved here and were over there.
We're moving in and so I don't know. You know
who likes mustard? Who doesn't? We might need something. I mean,
put some mustard. I mean, I don't know. Maybe I
don't know. Just people do catch up with biscuits.
Speaker 2 (01:11:14):
I don't know. But you'll be hey, come on now,
get your stuff. We're dying over here. We're dying. You
don't know what, whether you want mustard or not.
Speaker 23 (01:11:24):
Mhm.
Speaker 4 (01:11:27):
Who doesn't know if they want mustard? Some people like
them on sauce. Some people do they do it. You're
right here, and I know who's eating.
Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
I don't know. I guess put you mustard in there?
I guess are you feeding? Can I buy you for
some mustard? No, ma'am, I put mustard in there. If
that's what you want, you got to design. They ordering
for people they don't know. Yeah, this said, we got
you know, we're moving in. People are help us.
Speaker 4 (01:11:44):
I mean some people love mustards or people don't just grab. Finally,
you know who made the call? I did put some
mustard in there. Even if they like mustard, if you
don't have it, they're gonna eat it.
Speaker 2 (01:11:54):
So you're trying to fix the airlines? Uh? What drive
through and inside order? What else are we trying to fix?
Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
I got so many that so much work for me
to do so much work. Speaking of airlines, Wow, two stories,
this is not I'm confused. I saw the story over
the weekend after six A. I saw it over the weekend.
Did he have anything? Did he have a bomb?
Speaker 2 (01:12:19):
I don't think he had no, I don't think so
really screaming, he's screaming that he's going to bomb the plane,
Death to Trump, Death to America.
Speaker 4 (01:12:31):
And then that Olio bar thing they do, which is
always very scary. Uh, and I see that they take
him down. So is he just saying that if he
if he, if he can get his hands on a bomb,
he would do it.
Speaker 11 (01:12:44):
I think I think it's really more of you know, hey,
I'm gonna show myself. I don't like Trump, and that's
what I'm gonna screamed to be tackling.
Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
Oh that's concerned.
Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
He needs to be tackled at this point, yes, yeah, yeah,
and the shirt.
Speaker 11 (01:13:09):
Sadly only one man got up. Everybody else was grabbing
their phone to record, right uh, and then others got up.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
But I we God, listen, everybody in there should have
stood up and pounced right on talk about Well, I
was looking to see you know my I first thought, now,
I'm like, yo, I'm mad. When I first saw it,
I thought, well, they're not charging him because they wonder
what he has, but he obviously doesn't have anything. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:13:33):
But but at the time, if you're a passenger, I
was trying to think of the first ten seconds of
him speaking, your heart just drops because you're like, is
this guy does he have something?
Speaker 1 (01:13:44):
Does he not?
Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Let me tell you seventy five would have driven him
back here? Wait, you know what you have all over him?
Whatever whatever's back here? What is that area back there?
Speaker 3 (01:13:52):
That's like the stewardest area or whatever.
Speaker 4 (01:13:55):
He'd had coffee all over. Big Green finally had enough.
Big Green had enough.
Speaker 11 (01:13:59):
So that's not the cockpit behind him, because it says
exit up.
Speaker 4 (01:14:03):
Top where that still is where the smaller plane. That's
actually where the yea front and back.
Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:14:11):
Uh, but finally one guy gets up. I guess it
took a second for everybody to register.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
What what's he? What's he doing here?
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
I think it's the back because everybody's facing the other way.
Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
Yeah, yeah, good catch. Wow, that's concerning.
Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
Was he drunk or something? These what's with people losing
their minds on planes? Y'all? It seems like it's ramping
up more. Whatever y'all are doing, stop doing that before we'll.
Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
Have to start taking our s. We're gonna to start
taking We're gonna have to start taking our shoes off.
Somebody will what's death to want?
Speaker 12 (01:14:52):
Wop?
Speaker 3 (01:14:53):
He threw Trump in there?
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
How about this? That's uh, somebody should have punched him.
Run But that's unnerving.
Speaker 3 (01:15:01):
They'll make it nervous.
Speaker 2 (01:15:03):
Yes, six B.
Speaker 4 (01:15:04):
Also what's a nerving is if the willel sketch on
fire American Airlines. They're going down the runway the will
sketch on fire at Denver And how about everybody got
to go down that slide? Yeah, they're unloading them.
Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
What she do? Go ahead first?
Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
I think it's like this line messes people up or something,
because many people get off and and just eat it.
Just absolutely there's one. Okay that that guy handled it well.
But it's like when people try to run, they they struggle.
Speaker 2 (01:15:38):
I understand that we got it's a plane on fire.
Speaker 3 (01:15:40):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (01:15:41):
This one guy here, you know he runs in the rain. Rick.
Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
This guy's not that guy.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
He's got a kid.
Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
Yeah, okay, I guess it's back.
Speaker 4 (01:15:49):
There's a grown man that's running past women and everything,
pushing them down.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
This guy falls with his kid. Oh is that a kid? Yeah,
he's got his luggage and kid. And people are just
roasting this dude for having his luggage because they say,
you know, don't grab your luggage all that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
Oh yeah, well maybe he was under his chair. I'm
like this guy that sorry texting everybody. Will's on fire.
I'm out, yeah, Wills on? How about what I got
right there?
Speaker 15 (01:16:17):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
I mean he's.
Speaker 11 (01:16:19):
Pushing stoff at the at the base of the ramp
and help some of these ladies that are falling on
My goodness, is that one guy?
Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
I have a travel mug? Yeah, it coffin. Oh wow, lad.
Speaker 4 (01:16:35):
So there's something, there's something about the change of this
this area right here. Then well you're coming down, Rick,
you got your whe You're coming yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
I mean, how when's the last time you went down
a slide? Rick?
Speaker 2 (01:16:45):
It's been a long time, right.
Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
It's a weird thing if you're not used to it.
Speaker 11 (01:16:49):
I'm not I'm not saying that they didn't have enough staff,
but maybe have someone at the base there.
Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
Yeah, he's helping somebody somewhere.
Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
Is that a kid? But you know what, I like him, Yeah,
I like I twisted his body though, to be sure
the kid wouldn't seek Yeah, but I don't know why
he's got his luck.
Speaker 11 (01:17:07):
And I'm sure the smoke and the and the fire
coming from underneath the plane.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
Kind of freaked everybody else, you know. Yeah, Well you
don't want to be getting off a plane that's on fire. Okay,
there you go, And then.
Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
The truck races up and hoses it down, so steam's
going everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Yeah, yeah, there's your fire man.
Speaker 3 (01:17:23):
There's your fire right there, right by the lady that
just ate it bad blue shorts.
Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
It ain't no hurry. I look at that guy. He
almost knocked people down. Travel also going by the guitars
from Marshall Tuker vand he was there. He said it
to you. That's funny. Things like this just make you
want to go to the farm and not go anywhere.
What whatn't enerves you more? The bombing I got a
(01:17:49):
bomb guy, or wheels on fire. Oh, I'll take Wills
on fire. Knowing I'm on the ground and I'm just
sliding down. I'll take that versus I'm in the air boy. Yeah,
you know situation.
Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
Although I'm and was just tackled in one video and
another you got people on the runway with fire.
Speaker 1 (01:18:06):

looking back over the weekend, you heard speedy, Greg and
Adler are here. Speedy, do you do you want to share?
(01:19:25):
You know, we keep looking into the world of I
just don't know socially awkward things with you, and I've
got one. I've got one to share with you before
we're done today. But I understand you've created your own
I don't. I just don't know why I am the
way I am. Sometimes I just just I put myself
in positions I don't need to put myself in. And
(01:19:47):
I had one this past weekend.
Speaker 11 (01:19:48):
I had to go to the big home improvement store
and I'm walking around and getting some stuff done, and
then I got startled because an employee came up to
me and asked me if I needed help.
Speaker 2 (01:19:59):
I'm like, wow, I seen one of you in a
long time. You know, I've never seen one, probably in
three or four years. Yeah, I know.
Speaker 11 (01:20:04):
And then I turned the corner and you know, you're
for some reason, I think it's awkward and it's not.
But when somebody's at the end of the isle and
you're at one end and you start walking towards each other,
it's like, do I make eye contact?
Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
Do I know you?
Speaker 7 (01:20:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:20:18):
And most people just walk on paths. There's an area
how far they're in it.
Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
It's like, yea, well, I noticed the guy's coming right
at me, okay, And I'm like, oh, no, you're thinking
that's really awkward.
Speaker 11 (01:20:29):
You're thinking fan of the show ROI, you know, Bobby
gotta talk to him about the show. And he goes, man,
you don't see that much around here, and I'm thinking,
what's the deal? And I noticed he's looking at my
shirt and I forgot what I had on because kind
of like you, I just threw something on and needed
to go to the store. And I look down I
realized I have an Oakland Athletics shirt on Major League
(01:20:51):
Baseball team. I still Haven and Kendall Graveman, who played
for them in twenty fifteen to twenty eighteen, he came
by and saw us one day and he brought us swag.
Speaker 2 (01:21:00):
Y'all remember that great shirt?
Speaker 11 (01:21:03):
And I found it in the T shirt drawer and
I threw it on Saturday morning, and uh, and I
had headed to the home improvement store. And he says, yeah, man,
you don't see that much, you know, I mean, good night.
I'm from California and love the age.
Speaker 9 (01:21:16):
Man.
Speaker 4 (01:21:17):
Oh and and and instead of just saying yeah, I
had a friend that gave me this. For some reason,
I had to act like I was one too, i't
so you start talking to a boy, yeah, I'll tell
you love them, you know, man, you just don't so
you from California?
Speaker 11 (01:21:33):
No, no, man, I tell you what they're doing. Is
it not going to be weird? They're they're gonna move
into Vegas. Isn't that strange? And I'm thinking, did you
even know that? Well, I know they're playing at a
minor league stadium. I think right now, I knew.
Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
I kind of knew enough to make me scary, but not.
Speaker 11 (01:21:48):
Enough to really care. On the conversation, and he goes, man,
it's just gonna feel weird. It's kind of like with
the Raiders. Now, I mean, but you know me being
from that area.
Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Boy, I'm just torn. How do you feel about it?
And now before you know you I rade yourself as
a lifelong.
Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
As Yeah, and I don't need to.
Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
Why didn't you just say a friend of mine game?
Speaker 11 (01:22:07):
I don't know why I didn't say that. I was like, well, yeah,
it's gonna be kind of weird. But one player on
the A's Now I can't. I can't Kendall graveman, I can't.
He's been and gone. No he's not with him, he's
with the Arizona now. But anyway, I just.
Speaker 4 (01:22:24):
I found it was just back and forth for like
it lasted forever, people passing us and we and we're
like holding court more you talk about that, I don't
know about what When did.
Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
You give up on that?
Speaker 11 (01:22:35):
And the only thing I knew is something about the
Raiders and they just let a defensive lineman go because
we did that story.
Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
We went to the and I brought him. Wasn't talking
about goes? Yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:22:45):
But man, thinking about that's clearing up thirty something million dollars.
I mean, and we could we can sign now it's we,
you know.
Speaker 4 (01:22:52):
So now suddenly I'm an A's and a Raiders fans
everything Oakland.
Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
You know, it's it's like I would say it was.
It was the most awkward moment.
Speaker 4 (01:23:02):
And I walked away exhausted and and I and I
was like.
Speaker 2 (01:23:07):
Why did I do that? Why did Why did I?
Why did I?
Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
I just yeah, I got a shirt. You know, actually
a player gave me this, right and I could have
dropped his name.
Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
Man, I don't know that would have been But normally.
Speaker 4 (01:23:20):
Did he ever did like, did he ever ask you?
What's your connection to all the Oakland?
Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
No? He just saw my shirt from there?
Speaker 11 (01:23:27):
Yeah, yeah, he goes, You know, I mean, I'm from
California and Buddy, I kind of miss it out there,
but but I love it here and probably but man
still follow him and everything. You just don't see that
shirt that much around central Alabama, you know, on a
Saturday morning.
Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
And he says that, you go, yeah, you're right because
actually one of the former players from this area. Yeah,
and he brought us these shirts.
Speaker 4 (01:23:48):
And instead of that, I suddenly now I'm trying to
talk Oakland a's fan stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:23:53):
To the Kendall Graven story is arguably better, way better.
It's the truth.
Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Yeah, Yeah, you're not lying like you are when you
acting like you were an AGS fan, right, you're basically
was making it up.
Speaker 11 (01:24:04):
Yeah, And I rarely how old was this guy? He
probably was my age. I had him in his fifties.
Maybe he did. I mean, he he could not believe
that he saw somebody that he's an Oakland Athletics fan
in Birmingham, Alabama.
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
He couldn't believe it. He still hadn't seen one.
Speaker 11 (01:24:24):
No, he So finally we walk off and I mumble
something to get out of it. Yeah, I mean, you know,
just loud, and and I walk away.
Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
What did I just do that? I carried on conversation
acting like that you were all about.
Speaker 4 (01:24:36):
That age, Yeah, And he came at me so hard
that I couldn't. I just got caught up in it
before I know, I'm like, yeah, man, He's like, yeah,
it's just gonna be weird though. I mean, growing up
there in that area, it's just hard for me to
let go of where they are now and now they're
gonna be in the then Vegas.
Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
I mean, you know how you felt about that? And
then what what do we got?
Speaker 3 (01:24:59):
And he started asking question.
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
Yeah, I tell you he is gonna feel weird, man,
you know. Yeah, it's gonna be the same. I'll tell
you that why I'm not gonna be the same.
Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
And even while it's happening, I'm going, why am I
doing this?
Speaker 2 (01:25:11):
And now it's too late for me to get out
of What about Billy mean?
Speaker 4 (01:25:15):
I really agree with Adler. I think the Kendall Grayman
story is better. Yeah, player player gave me this. He
was playing there and he visited, but.
Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
Then you name dropped him. You know, he knows who Kendall.
Speaker 11 (01:25:27):
But you know you're kind of tired of getting going
for the day. I wouldn't into talking that much.
Speaker 2 (01:25:33):
Kendall.
Speaker 11 (01:25:33):
The Kendle story would have had me trying to explain things,
and I thought I could just do that yeah yeah
and move on.
Speaker 2 (01:25:39):
But before I knew it, it's like we're.
Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
Talking that makes sense, that makes sense, Like you thought
it was just gonna be like a nod, like.
Speaker 11 (01:25:45):
Yeah, hey man, yeah, oh yeah, we're stopping holding court
people saying excuse me, we stood there, so oh wow, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
It's like the story. And I've told you I think
even recently, the guy that I told you at pets
hutting Ox that thought I was rick Yep. I could
have called that from day one, and we ordered a
lot of pizza. So I saw him a lot, and
every time he called me Rick, and I wouldn't change it.
That's just I would have a conversation with him. And goodness,
how long did you go on with that? Along? Years? Wow? Years? Years?
(01:26:19):
That explains. There was some guy. I guess that's why
he looked at me and said, you're the only person
i've ever seen striketually looks like you're getting younger. So
he what it was. He knew I was one of them,
but he just went thought I was Rick.
Speaker 11 (01:26:32):
But this guy went home and told his wife, You're
not gonna believe I bumped into an Oakland Athletics.
Speaker 2 (01:26:38):
Right in Alabama. But it's so proud he's wearing a shirt.
Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:26:42):
By the way, I get trapped in Sweet two hundreds
so much. Now I'm gonna start wearing a tag that
says asked me about Sweet two hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:26:48):
Ah? Yeah, So why do we do these things? I don't.
I don't know.
Speaker 11 (01:26:52):
He starts dropping like players names and what how do
you feel like he's doing? And and I just he
probably left left going away.
Speaker 2 (01:27:01):
He hadn't. He's an idiot.
Speaker 3 (01:27:04):
Yeah, why is he wearing that shirt. He's not a fan.
Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
He thinks Johnny Damon still over the thing for some reason.
I brought the sphere because they brought up Vegas.
Speaker 17 (01:27:14):
We weren't even talking about it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
How about the backstory?
Speaker 1 (01:27:18):
Boys, this is the Rick Burgess show. He doesn't have OCD.
He just likes things to be a certain way.
Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
Rick Burgess beature being with us today America. Now you
you may be out there and you may be like
a lot of folks, and you're thinking, I see the
weight loss stuff that's happening with these.
Speaker 4 (01:27:54):
Shots, but I don't know about the shots. I keep
waiting on the day they come back. You know, hey,
well if you're taking these shots, but what if you're thinking,
what if I told you there was a natural way
to accomplish this? That kind of fires you up, doesn't it? Okay,

(01:28:57):
So you know, we speeding, I speak into this.
Speaker 2 (01:29:00):
Let's just get it.
Speaker 4 (01:29:00):
Let's just get it all done. So Speedy and I
have had this ongoing thing. Can we talk about this
is just gonna give you any handles?
Speaker 2 (01:29:09):
I don't think so. I mean, I don't think I
did a problem with it.
Speaker 11 (01:29:12):
Okay, by the way to the other story, I think
I didn't want to let the man down that that, y'all.
Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
But will he was so excited, he was so excited.
Just you found a fellow and you couldn't break it. Yeah, you'
want to break it? He was so much. I'm not
sure that.
Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
I'm not sure the true story would have let him
down done with that, but I think it's a cool story.
But is this your go to home improvement place?
Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
Yeah? Yeah, I could. It's convenient.
Speaker 4 (01:29:36):
He's gonna start looking for you now, yeah, probably where's
the where's that the as guy and Raiders.
Speaker 11 (01:29:41):
And and I'm easy to to. I mean, I'm the
bald guy, you know. You know, let me get your
Raiders caps. You can wear that next time and talk
about the Raiders. But anyway about meet Carroll being the
head coach, that's gonna be weird.
Speaker 2 (01:29:50):
That's weird. I thought he had retired.
Speaker 4 (01:29:52):
Yeah, well, you know, there's been a lot of pressure
and we've talked about it, and I don't think I
have hit perfection yet. Of course, Rick, you're almost completing
your two you might want to. And that is the
speedy has been coming to the same church where Sherry
and I go, but where he's not. I don't see him.
(01:30:13):
He doesn't have presented itself. You're hiding from me or
back to awkward moments.
Speaker 11 (01:30:19):
I mean, normally y'all are in the middle of a
conversation and I don't want to bust up in there,
and then I'll go, I'll see him after the service,
and then it's chaos after the service and before you know,
we're in the truck going. I never said hey to him, right,
But this past Sunday, boy, there's there was, there's a
lot there.
Speaker 4 (01:30:34):
We broke through this past Sunday, and so I sit
down and I guess the minute you saw me come
into worship and I had a jacket on, you knew.
Speaker 2 (01:30:42):
What was up doing. Oh I quickly looked for the table. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:30:46):
So of course I'd already had a little fun at
a young deacon's expense early. Oh of course, so I
was with you know, when the deacons have to serve
the Lord's Supper, it's a big day, okay, and there's
a lot of pressure. And but if you there's another
step even to just being the servers of it. Your
(01:31:08):
group of deacons have to come prepare the elements. Oh now,
that's that's a whole another level, which is why I
had to come to church early and got the best
sparking spot in the lot.
Speaker 2 (01:31:18):
You had to be handicapped to beat me.
Speaker 4 (01:31:20):
Okay, And so so I'm in there and it's it's
a you didn't help prepare that. Well, I am no
longer allowed to be the juice guy, well say, because
juice would be all over everything.
Speaker 2 (01:31:33):
I'm banned from the now. We do it different. To
we do it different. It's a little it's a little
bit of a process.
Speaker 4 (01:31:39):
You got the plastic cup, bread in the cup, another
cup on top of it, juice in that cup, so
you have everything you need.
Speaker 2 (01:31:48):
Yeah, double stack, double stack that way. People aren't a
lot twenty eight trays you in your stacking, okay.
Speaker 4 (01:31:57):
And so they won't let me do the juice thing,
have these little squirt juice things.
Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
And I made such a mess the last time. That
won't let me do it.
Speaker 4 (01:32:03):
Yeah, there's no I'm a strictly cup guy. And then
I get lost to where I was. Just got two cups,
you know, and a couple of them, you know. But anyway,
so I don't I can't do that. But the serving area,
They've given me a complicated area to serve, and I
mean it's it's the show. I mean, it's a big area,
one of the main oule. It's one of the main ouse.
And so you're supposed to wear a jacket every time
(01:32:24):
that you're it's time to serve.
Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
You're supposed to wear a jacket. And my percentage of.
Speaker 4 (01:32:29):
Remembering that is about ten I've got about ten percent
record ninety percent forget, and I'm trying to get better.
So a rookie deacon was in there with me and
I get in there early.
Speaker 2 (01:32:43):
He has no jacket. I said, wow, I see you
got your jacket. He goes, yeah, I know it's bad.
I said, that's it. It's just I mean, that's not
getting it done. I said, the jacket's a pretty big deal.
I hope John didn't see it's ahead dicon. Oh. He
goes really, I said, yeah. He gets really upset, but
of course I'm kidding the whole time.
Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
And I finally the guy gets so upset and so
concerned I stopped him. I said, you know what, I
can't let this go on. I'm a ten percenter. I
forget my jacket almost every time. So he was like, wow,
that was You really had me going there. I was said, yeah,
they don't took it a little far. I had to
kill time because they don't let me use juice anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:33:14):
But anyway, you were doing killing time. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:33:17):
By the way, I noticed, we the Baptist Church. If
we're gonna cut the budget, we'll cut at the juice.
I've never even seen that brand before. I now stout loud.
I said, let me tell you one thing. You leave
this back here, there's no chance of fermentation because these
can't be grapes. I really believe this is your sugar
water and purple.
Speaker 12 (01:33:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33:34):
Well but anyway, so, uh, welchers.
Speaker 4 (01:33:40):
What is that that so so so Speedy? I sit
down in the worship service and I looked down, but
the worship service had already started, and I get in
a lot of trouble if I'm missing my phone, and
so I don't I don't do that.
Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
I look down and.
Speaker 4 (01:33:54):
Speedy had texted me yeah, and he was like, hey,
don't mess up, and I.
Speaker 11 (01:33:58):
Don't mess this up because we were already seated when
y'all come in, and I saw you had your your
coat on, and I went, oh, you know, when I
was coming in, I was like putting it all together.
So so I sent you that text prior to starting,
thinking you might you might see it.
Speaker 4 (01:34:11):
So now I know he's there. Yeah, so I so
then I gotta find it.
Speaker 2 (01:34:15):
And she was like what are you doing? I said nothing,
what are you looking around? I'm trying to find Speedy
And she's like, quit worrying about where Speedy is. I said,
he's memor a couple of times. He never spoke to us.
Speaker 4 (01:34:26):
So anyway, so so now I know that Speedy is
going to zero in on me and watch my every move.
Speaker 11 (01:34:32):
Oh it was right in front of me too, right,
And I start giggling and Terry's like, what are you
giggling at?
Speaker 2 (01:34:37):
Are you? Are you looking at Rick? Are you watching Rick?
You know we're supposed to be like, this is a
pretty sorry, very solemn moment.
Speaker 4 (01:34:46):
Lord deal, you should really be you know, self analysis,
you know, really really praying and and and.
Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
You're watching about you're talking about do this and remember
to me, remember what I did? Right?
Speaker 4 (01:34:58):
So I'm so I was rich on the little table
soon and I've got the trays and you know it's
very dicey, and I'm glad you saw it because I
think they think I exaggerate Greg and Adler.
Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
I've got a pretty tough spot in there.
Speaker 4 (01:35:09):
I've got I've got some I've got some rows that
are not even I've got I got a camera guy
one road that hits the camera podium and then comes back.
Speaker 2 (01:35:18):
It doesn't go away. Did the other end you got
two black on one row? What?
Speaker 4 (01:35:22):
Well, I mean it wouldn't take it. Well, no, it
was taking out stuff I don't like to take the tray, right. Well,
he can't quite handle it.
Speaker 2 (01:35:29):
It's a little kid.
Speaker 11 (01:35:31):
Some sections have more more people in it than others,
so some deacons are finished quicker than others.
Speaker 2 (01:35:37):
And then now do you need help?
Speaker 11 (01:35:39):
But you going back and forth like you were in
a tennis match, not knowing which one to get.
Speaker 4 (01:35:44):
And you see that time the left side on the
right side were coming in at the same time. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
And he looked he's like he's a little bit started rubbing.
Speaker 2 (01:35:58):
What about when I ran out and to have people left? Oh,
I know, the deacon. I couldn't get enough of it.
Speaker 1 (01:36:06):
He's like, clomse your eyes.
Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
We're supposed to be praying right here.
Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Did Rick start yelling like he does in a terminal
when things start getting acted, Everybody calm down. This is
getting this is getting crazy. We got more juice coming.
Speaker 2 (01:36:18):
I didn't have you, okay, yeah, it's a that's hey.
Speaker 11 (01:36:23):
I know, but I got in trouble because I was
more focused on you, and then I had did I
had to I didn't have to kind of call myself grey.
Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
Let me tell you we're gonna do with him if
he decides to come to church where we are and
they decide to solidify there. Hello, Greek team, he's gonna
be a greeder. We gonna put you out there. You're
gonna be a greeter, no doubt. I carry him in.
Here's what's said. But you saw Sunday the second smoothest
job I've done so far. Are you serious? Yeah? So see,
(01:36:50):
I got a lot of work to do air towards end.
I got worried about it. Of course I was limping.
Speaker 1 (01:36:55):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. It's time for unscreened
phone calls. Call No. One eight eight eight six big
Vox and get on the show.
Speaker 2 (01:37:14):

the weekend once again, They're like, look this unscreen phone
call thing. This is definitely the way to go. It
gets a lot of people coming in quickly. We just
kind of edit on the fly. It doesn't get bogged down,
and it usually moves rapidly. But I know that Monday's
can be tough, okay, and and so we don't. We
(01:38:11):
try not to just jump out there. But you did
so much better last Monday. Uh, we're gonna go ahead
and do it again. It looks like you're there, you go,
that's better. Hello, Rick Burgers show, unscreen phone calls.
Speaker 2 (01:38:22):
Go ahead.
Speaker 9 (01:38:25):
Hello, Hello, And.
Speaker 2 (01:38:29):
He said, pa, I just I just didn't feel it. Uh,
Rick Burgers show, unscreen phone calls, go.
Speaker 15 (01:38:37):
Ahead, brig Handball, Hey, I want to tell you all
a little quick story about the bathroom issues I ran
into a few weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
Okay, I think this. I think the word quicks crucial.
Speaker 15 (01:38:48):
Here aside out uber In one morning, I got to
the place that hit me really bad. I said, I've
got to cancel this ride. Get into the bathroom. So
I turned around and read to the bathroom. It was
here the centerpoint robuck Alaama and uh. Once I get there,
I go I run in the bathroom. Stomach's killing me
till it's out of order. So the lady is in
(01:39:08):
the other back the ladies. The lady. The lady is
in the women's bathroom cleaning it. So I moved the
cone and start going in there. When she comes in
there and starts creating a scene with me. So I
tell I said, I got one or two things that's
gonna happen. I'm gonna take a crap right here.
Speaker 2 (01:39:21):
In your floor.
Speaker 23 (01:39:22):
Good, I'm gonna run in here.
Speaker 15 (01:39:23):
And use the bathroom. I run in there. Next thing
I know, I hear hollering and yelling. The manager runs
in the bathroom and it's standing at the stall. While
I'm while I'm doing number two, I hear someone else that.
I hear someone else in the store there on the
poles nine one one like that that I've done something
what you.
Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
Should have just identified as a woman and sat down
did your business.
Speaker 18 (01:39:47):
It was.
Speaker 15 (01:39:47):
It was the most awkward feeling. While I'm building my
business and you've got somebody hollering at me outside the stall,
knowing that now were ones on the way. They followed
me outside get my tag plate and everything.
Speaker 2 (01:39:58):
It was.
Speaker 15 (01:39:58):
It was ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (01:39:59):
Well did you wait? Greg's leaving one? So that's terrible, gracious, Wow,
can you imagine outside the door by way when you're
willing to go to jail for it.
Speaker 3 (01:40:14):
He's being charged with two counts of leaving one.
Speaker 2 (01:40:16):
So Rick Burgers Show, unscreened phone calls, go.
Speaker 6 (01:40:22):
Happy Monday. I'm gonna ask that Speedy if he knew
why the bald man cut holes in his pockets?
Speaker 4 (01:40:28):
Why the bald man cut holes in his pockets?
Speaker 6 (01:40:34):
Yes, sir, and so he can run his fingers to
his hair.
Speaker 3 (01:40:39):
That's terrible, that's not funny, that's terrible.
Speaker 2 (01:40:42):
Laughing at that back on that still won't do it?
Speaker 4 (01:40:49):
I got that's terrible, terrible, terrible, summertime terrible, terrible, terrible.
Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Okay, I can't do.
Speaker 4 (01:41:00):
Those of you in the streaming world. I can't do
anything for you, but at least to restaur a radio
was said, Yeah, we continue, Rick Bird Show, unscreen phone
calls go ahead.
Speaker 22 (01:41:12):
Right, Rick?
Speaker 3 (01:41:12):
How do you sound more like Gary than Gary?
Speaker 1 (01:41:15):
Does?
Speaker 22 (01:41:15):
I know?
Speaker 2 (01:41:16):
That's hard? That's have you noticed he's dropped his voice
a little bit. I think he's trying not to sound
like me and Speedy, how do you sound so much like,
Oh Jay, I mean somebody said they saw They said
they saw Gary at his birthday Friday evening and he
said he didn't have an inside voice going. You think
garyhad You think you had a couple of birthday cocktail? Wait,
(01:41:39):
birthday dinner. We wasn't invited, We were not well. He
said he was going out for Hey, I said, I
was going to Pratville. You know what I'm saying. Yeah,
he said he was. You see where he got on
his Instagram. I mean, ween't want to go somewhere waiting
they rate before maybe give me some gifts. Oh you see,
didn't say that, but I'm with you. Called.
Speaker 4 (01:42:01):
I think Gary's trying to change his voice so that
I won't sound like I think he is. Yeah, don't
you a little bit because I'm doing the way Gary
once sounded.
Speaker 2 (01:42:08):
He's changed it. What if he got completely rid of
his accent? Can you go lower with his voice? I
mean I was out there talking to Gwen. He had
a little bit of a time to get it was that?
Is that what I more like it? Kind of I
was out there talking to out there talking to Glenn.
You know, we've had a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:42:27):
Of I can't it's yeah, I know, we continue Rick
Bird's show. Unscreen phone calls go ahead.
Speaker 13 (01:42:35):
Hey, good morning. I tell you, guys, there's one of
y'all's bed music that drives me. It sounds like Beth
Mowen's doing metal.
Speaker 3 (01:42:41):
It's that when.
Speaker 13 (01:42:42):
Y'all just played broadcasting from the real world.
Speaker 6 (01:42:45):
Uh.
Speaker 13 (01:42:46):
I couldnot get it out of my head that when
it starts off, Rick just shut It sounds a slight
Beth moment that drives me.
Speaker 4 (01:42:53):
You know, you know, you know what's weird, and it's
this is just how the audience is. I've had more
people say that's their favorite that we've tried.
Speaker 2 (01:43:00):
To have moments. Uh, we continue, Hello, Rick Burgers show.
Speaker 14 (01:43:06):
Go ahead, come on, I guess piggyback off to drive through.
I was at a very popular Chicken Finger restaurant. Yes,
drive through out to the road. I said, I'm going inside,
park look to see where.
Speaker 2 (01:43:20):
The car was that I was behind.
Speaker 14 (01:43:23):
Walked inside, one person at the counter, seven people standing
in line going from me, long gone before I ever
got to the parking lot.
Speaker 2 (01:43:32):
It's always a gamble and we have nothing, and we
have to know. I have to see what that other
car is doing in the car it's better. It's so
card to stay in the car rick Burgers show unscreened.
Speaker 5 (01:43:46):
Go ahead, Hey, Rick, how are you this wanting?
Speaker 2 (01:43:50):
You will? Man?
Speaker 9 (01:43:51):
I will?
Speaker 12 (01:43:52):
Did you see the guy it may.
Speaker 5 (01:43:53):
Have been in the last week the representatives of Texas
talking obviously about portion this stuff, but about the Bible
supports abortion.
Speaker 4 (01:44:00):
You know, I saw somebody send that to me and
I thought it was so so absurd, and so he.
Speaker 9 (01:44:07):
Said, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:44:08):
I think he said Mary was an absolute feminist because
they asked her about having Jesus and it was her decision,
so therefore it's her decision to keep a baby or
have an abortion. And then secondly that they breathed life
into man, so life doesn't start until his first breath.
And this is from a government official who has a
(01:44:31):
seminary background.
Speaker 4 (01:44:34):
Well, yeah, when I saw he had a seminary background,
I thought, let's close down whatever seminary he went to.
And let me tell you something just because and I'm
about to get a huge a man from preachers and
pastors all over the place.
Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
Right now, And that is just you can hear it.
Speaker 4 (01:44:48):
Just do a couple of years, just because somebody said
they went to a seminary doesn't mean they know anything
about the Bible. Some of these seminaries have just turned
into another and doctor nation, just like any you know,
at one time you could go and get an education.
You can't get that hardly anymore in a public arena.
These seminaries are getting less and less trustworthy. What he
(01:45:12):
just said was so stupid. But once again, it goes
back to kind of what we talk about on strange encounters.
If you don't know the Bible, then he says a
few things and you're like, well maybe, but see all
of us that study the Bible. We're thinking of all
these different verses where God would contradict what he's saying.
And I mean, you don't have to go any further
(01:45:32):
than Psalm one thirty nine, verses thirteen through sixteen. It
clearly tells you that life begins at conception. It's not
even up for debate. So I wish somebody would have
thrown that at him when he was thrilling all of
us with his seminary background.
Speaker 2 (01:45:49):
I tell you what he is.
Speaker 4 (01:45:49):
He's sitting there speaking as loud as he can speak
straight from the devil in the demons. He's nothing but
somewhat manipulating scripture, which has been done since the Garden
of Eden.
Speaker 2 (01:46:00):
It wouldn't scripture then it was directly from God, the
same thing. Yeah. Uh we continue. Rick Burgess Show, unscreen
phone calls, Go ahead.
Speaker 6 (01:46:09):
I learned something to new this weekend. You know how
when you go to the past food place, you could
be the only car in line and they ask you
to pull forward.
Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
Oh yeah, you pay.
Speaker 6 (01:46:18):
Well, it turns out I asked the girl why there's
nobody behind me? Watch up, pull forward? And she said, well,
corporate tracks uh the cars and you pull forward. It
makes them think you got your food. Yeah, so improved
their metrics.
Speaker 2 (01:46:30):
Yeah that's yeah, they're on the timer. That's how they
get you ain't moving. Nobody's behind me. We continue. Somebody
speaking about their phone, speaking of demons. Uh, here we go.
Rick Burgers Show, unscreen phone calls, go.
Speaker 4 (01:46:49):
Ahead, in there there we gotta have at least.
Speaker 2 (01:46:56):
There we go. Rick Burger Show on screen phone calls, go.
Speaker 12 (01:47:02):
Hey, man, how y'all do this morning?
Speaker 2 (01:47:04):
Good?
Speaker 12 (01:47:04):
I hope you're well man, I'm doing great.
Speaker 10 (01:47:08):
I've been listening to y'all for so many years. I
feel like I just had to call and tell you
guys this like y'all are part of the family. Just
found out my wife's pregnant with our fourth child.
Speaker 2 (01:47:20):
All right, so what do you have so far?
Speaker 14 (01:47:22):
Girl?
Speaker 2 (01:47:23):
Girls and boys?
Speaker 12 (01:47:24):
Okay, got an eleven year old girl, five year old girl,
two year old boy, and all of them were planned
except this one hit us out of nowhere, was no
plan whatsoever.
Speaker 2 (01:47:38):
And the rest of his or her life. That'll be
the joke.
Speaker 4 (01:47:42):
It always is that that unplanned when always gets at
the rest of their life. Congratulations, I'm glad you. I'm
glad you feel that way, and we celebrate with you.
Rick Birder's show on screen phone calls go ahead.
Speaker 22 (01:47:54):
Yes, sir, I've watched yass at Shaller all the way
back into Gadston and I'm a mom a thank you
sometimes watching you out it's just like a bunch of
teenage boys in a locker room. But I wanted to
bring a woman's perspective into it if I could, And
all I'd like to say from a woman's point of
(01:48:15):
view is dot you.
Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
Got well done, man, my, But I creative.
Speaker 12 (01:48:36):
I'm proud of it.
Speaker 2 (01:48:37):
I never I never saw that one. What a good job,
what a good jobs out there?
Speaker 1 (01:48:48):
This is the Rick Burgers show. The man removed the
phrase what's you no good? From society?
Speaker 2 (01:49:10):
Thank you for being with us America. So yeah, we
never saw that coming from mama.
Speaker 4 (01:49:16):
I'm mean, well done. What a great mama. Her grandchildren
are so blessed. She even changed her voice.
Speaker 2 (01:49:24):
What a blessing. That was just funny.
Speaker 4 (01:49:26):
You remember me telling you that I think there's something
wrong with Waco, Texas?
Speaker 2 (01:49:30):
Yes, I do.
Speaker 4 (01:49:31):
And Chip and Joanna Gaines just proved it again. Yes,
it's a weird place. It is okay, and and maybe
it makes people weird. Have you y'all heard this answer?
I guess it's media days. I guess so Baylor's football coach?
Speaker 19 (01:49:47):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:49:47):
Dave Ronda? Yeah?
Speaker 11 (01:49:50):
Have y'all heard this answer? See if y'all can follow
along with it? Now, Greg, this is going to be
gold for you because he says something in here that
you're going to k up to.
Speaker 2 (01:49:57):
Any idea what the question is?
Speaker 11 (01:50:00):
I can only assume, but I'm sitting here looking at
on X what some suggestions might be. But everybody is
so confused.
Speaker 2 (01:50:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:50:10):
Have you heard this is the Baylor coach?
Speaker 2 (01:50:13):
Head football coach?
Speaker 3 (01:50:13):
Football?
Speaker 2 (01:50:14):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:50:14):
I have not heard this.
Speaker 2 (01:50:16):
He lit like speeding.
Speaker 3 (01:50:17):
I don't know anything about this, but I'm very curious
to see what it is.
Speaker 11 (01:50:21):
Kind of it looks like a wolf, Wolf of wall
Street or whatever about sex and corruption. But he's a
head coach at a private Christian university bringing it up.
Speaker 2 (01:50:29):
And that's kind of funny.
Speaker 4 (01:50:31):
Yeah, what's funny is he uses the Wolf of Wall
Street analogy and then you can't believe what he what
he chooses and I don't know what he's talking about.
It out and I'm and I go back to I
think just wake goes weird.
Speaker 2 (01:50:45):
But but here here we go. Yeah, enjoy Greg.
Speaker 24 (01:50:49):
There's a scene in The Wolf of Wall Street when
they're about throwing midgets and and it's like, you know, hey,
this this midget h can he you know, can you
roll there? And you go, no, he doesn't roll. You
throw them, you know what I mean? And they're made
for throwing. And then after a while they start talking
and they go, you know what I think if you
(01:51:10):
start talking, if you start if they may think they
know we're making fun of them. The midgets may think
we're making fun of them. So then I'm musa start.
You know, they may get mad at us, and then
the guys go, well, what we need to do is
make them think they're one of us, and they go
one of us, one of us. And I think that's
(01:51:31):
the thing with coaching, call it and recruiting is just
that way they talk about acquiring players, getting rid of players,
just like that, and the whole thing underneath all that
is they make them think they're one of us, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:51:46):
And it's like, but I don't know, do you have
to do that to win?
Speaker 25 (01:51:52):
You know?
Speaker 2 (01:51:52):
That sucks? I completely. I have no idea what he's
talking about comparing that to recruiting. Okay, is this as
I have no idea what I'm starting to think it's
ad I do this? So he but then here's where
I see what he's talking about, But I don't know
what he how he applies that to his I mean,
(01:52:15):
I thought, in this case, they're basic going to g
in front of it.
Speaker 4 (01:52:18):
But if we make them think they're part of it, right,
they won't. Okay, I don't know what he's saying. I
thought it was AI all the way up till he
got to his point. Then I thought, oh, wait a minute,
I think he's legitimately trying to make a point about
the state of college football.
Speaker 2 (01:52:31):
Yeah, but all the analogies.
Speaker 3 (01:52:33):
I found it from another another source, and so I mean,
this is another legitimate news source. If you'll want to
hear it again, make sure that wasn't AI.
Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (01:52:41):
Okay, Well I see people asking if Gronk if it's real,
and it says yes, Okay.
Speaker 24 (01:52:47):
There's a scene in The Wolf of Wall Street throwing
midgets and super quiet.
Speaker 2 (01:52:55):
He's doing it again, same thing, can same thing? I
know Greg wants you to hear it again.
Speaker 24 (01:52:59):
But can you roll there or any No, he doesn't
roll you throwing, you know what I mean? And they're
made for throwing. And then after a while they start
talking and they go, well, you know what I think
if you start talking, if you shart, uh, if you
they may think they know we're making fun of them.
The midgets may think we're making fun of them. I
don't know, I must start, you know, they may get
(01:53:20):
mad at us. And then the guys go, well, what
we need to do is make them think they're one
of us, and they go one of us, one of us.
And I think that's the thing with coaching, call it
and recruiting.
Speaker 2 (01:53:33):
It's it's that way.
Speaker 4 (01:53:36):
That's I'm saying. I still don't always talk. I don't
get it. He's trying to dare him to do that.
He's trying to say so little people in the movie.
Speaker 11 (01:53:46):
They were trying to say, No, you're one of us,
so they want to try so y'all get to throw
us because we're one of us.
Speaker 2 (01:53:52):
You're not making fun of.
Speaker 11 (01:53:53):
Right, Yeah, we're not throwing you because we're making fun
of you. We're throwing you because you're one of us.
And then he tries to make that into something.
Speaker 4 (01:54:00):
Start chanting one. Wait, wait a minute, it should three
be in on your channel. Yeah, because it was knocked out.
That's why they can't hear. I thought it was some
sort of level. I was like, you're playing it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:11):
I know it has to be looped back to me.
The second time we played it, I did have it
kind of doubled up here.
Speaker 19 (01:54:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:54:19):
I was looking because I see what you're talking about,
and I'm like, what, what's the deal.
Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
But I guess, yeah, the three haven't been out the
whole show. I hope.
Speaker 4 (01:54:26):
I don't think you have no no, no. I must
have hit it when we were doing that commercial minute again.
Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
So they heard it now, Yes, Okay, I don't know
where I got here one more time. But know, I mean,
is he serious? Is he trying to make a point.
He didn't do very good job.
Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
It feels like a there because I would think in
the highly politically correct world.
Speaker 2 (01:54:49):
Yeah, yeah, of education, I know, Baylor. You can use
Baptists all you want to.
Speaker 4 (01:54:53):
There's nothing Baptist about Baylor modern day, are any of
these colleges that are supposed to have some Christian founda
But I can't believe that you would just kind of think, hey,
let me tell you something. You may want to use
some analogies. Don't use the M word. It's actually even
called the M word now, Yeah, and and he he
(01:55:14):
hetty rough. It's a rough movie. Yeah, I just I
can't imagine that the head coach. There's just so many
things wrong with that selection, you know, it just it
just you got the word midgeted in it. You've got,
as y'all said, a horribly nasty movie. It just of
(01:55:36):
all the ways he could have made that point, that
just seems such a such a strange choice from someone
who's actually thrown When.
Speaker 2 (01:55:43):
You refer to the point that, of course then the
midges will be mad at us, right, Okay, yeah, look,
I have a there was a time when little people
embrace this.
Speaker 4 (01:55:53):
Speaking of someone who's thrown little people before. Yeah, here,
I've thrown little people before.
Speaker 23 (01:56:00):
On it.
Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
We never threw a We never threw any little person
that did not want to be thrown? Did y'all make
them chant one and one of us? One of us?
No didn't. One didn'tn't have a strong smell of alcohol
in him, Yes he did. Well, Ricky was about to
be thrown little courage and one was sweating. I called
him under the arm pans a little weird. But let's
not forget. We threw our tossed him back and forth
(01:56:23):
to each other.
Speaker 23 (01:56:24):
We did.
Speaker 2 (01:56:24):
He was laughing and loving it everything. We didn't do
it wrong, because no, he was to think he was.
Speaker 4 (01:56:29):
He was never mad, No, he wasn't. He was having
the time of his life and made his life.
Speaker 3 (01:56:36):
He was going.
Speaker 2 (01:56:37):
I think he did think it like he was one
of us though.
Speaker 1 (01:56:40):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, and.
Speaker 4 (01:57:02):
Got a fine.
Speaker 1 (01:57:07):
The voice of reason in an unreasonable world, The Rick
Burches Show.
Speaker 2 (01:57:13):
That's right, baby, here we go. Thank you for being
with us today. Miss any part of that catch the
daily archive a lot to check out. Two from over
the weekend. This's brand new Strange Encounters episode nine out
over the weekend. Rick and Bubba's Greatest Hits in Radio
Gold another episode out over the weekend. I think episode
twenty eight is out there, so grab that. And I
(01:57:37):
made an appearance on Men in the Arena.
Speaker 4 (01:57:42):
I actually recorded that interview when the book launched back
in May, and they actually played that over the weekend,
So that episode has now aired or dropped or whatever
it's called them. So there's some things that happened over
the weekend you might want to go and grab. So
we touched on a couple of these. We'll hit a
few headlines here, uh, and then we'll work our way
into other stories that are still to come. Today we
(01:58:04):
mentioned the deal with the European Union that has people
really fired up, ready to go. But you're going to
watch even the mainstream media, they're really struggling to put
a negative spin on this, including a talking to the
President of the European Commission Ursula Vander Leon Leon. Anyway,
(01:58:29):
we'll just divided.
Speaker 3 (01:58:31):
We did the Colors from the Sea Witch.
Speaker 4 (01:58:37):
So here here's the response to the question from the
news reporter on what the US is giving up in
this deal?
Speaker 2 (01:58:43):
Here we go, anybody else, Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (01:58:46):
Question for the president, what are the US consessions?
Speaker 23 (01:58:51):
What is the US giving.
Speaker 24 (01:58:52):
Up in the deal?
Speaker 19 (01:58:54):
So, as we the starting point was an imbalance, a
surplus on our site and a deficit on the US
and we wanted to rebalance the trade relation, and we
wanted to do it in a way that trade goes
on between the two of US across the Atlantic, because
the two biggest economies should have a good trade flow
(01:59:16):
between US, and I think we hit exactly the point.
We wanted to find rebalance but enable trade on both sides,
which means good jobs on both sides of the Atlantic,
means prosperity on both sides of the Atlantic, and that
was important for US.
Speaker 4 (01:59:32):
It means it means US didn't give up anything. It
means that we just rided or wrong. We had a surplus,
they had a deficit, and we fixed that. So that
was a big and about a seven hundred and fifty
billion dollar deal that was done over the weekend with
the European Union. Now let's let's now double down on
that in one see here.
Speaker 2 (01:59:55):
Is Treasury Secretary, Scott, is it bessn't bessn't your favorite grade?
Speaker 9 (02:00:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:00:01):
JJ, you love you love Scott, mister excitement. Yes, here
comes Scott. This has not happened since twenty fifteen. Greg,
listen to what the tariffs have done. Last month. Something
happened that has not happened since twenty fifteen.
Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
Here we go.
Speaker 25 (02:00:18):
I think he's created a lot of leverage because he's
created an ab situation. He is able to go to
the trading partners and say, look, I am happy to
take in this tariff income if you don't want to negotiate.
Speaker 2 (02:00:33):
This is a high rate.
Speaker 25 (02:00:34):
But the US is taking a massive amounts of tariff income.
We had the first June budget surplus since twenty fifteen
last month. We reported it this month, and so we
are taking in substantial income. So President Trump is creating
(02:00:54):
this leverage by saying, if you don't want to negotiate
with me, I've sent.
Speaker 2 (02:00:58):
You a letter with high rate.
Speaker 25 (02:01:01):
You have at the high rate, or come and negotiate
in better fashion. Because I'll tell you what was fascinating
for me, and this was President Trump at his best,
at his best was the Indonesians came with what I
thought was a very good offer out of the Blox.
President Trump kept pushing them, he raised the reciprocal rate,
(02:01:25):
and when he sent them the letter and five iterations later,
the Indonesian trade deal was greatly improved, turned into a
great deal for both sides.
Speaker 2 (02:01:36):
So a surplus last month. Then got a calm down.
Great it's not exactly mister excitement.
Speaker 4 (02:01:43):
So the tariffs, even though they call some things on
the front end, get everybody a little nervous now starting
to bring in the revenue. In long term, it's a
long term game and things are turning in the right
direction right now.
Speaker 2 (02:02:00):
Let's get into Epstein. Let's go into two A two.
So we got two A and two B. So Trump
is still going to be asked about the Epstein files.
Speaker 4 (02:02:08):
As you can imagine, he now has an answer to that,
and we're going to hear from John Radcliffe, CIA director
confirming some people that are likely to be indicted over
Russia Gate.
Speaker 2 (02:02:22):
So first of all, to start with Epstein. Here here's
two A. First time I've heard him say names. Yeah,
the President being asked, here we go.
Speaker 20 (02:02:29):
Well, I don't want to talk about that. What I
do want to say is that Todd is a great attorney.
But you want to be speaking about Larry Summers. You
ought to be speaking about some of his friends that
are hedge fun.
Speaker 2 (02:02:42):
Guys that are all over the place. You ought to
be speaking about Bill Clinton, who went to the island
twenty eight times. I never went to the island.
Speaker 13 (02:02:50):
Did not write a letter.
Speaker 20 (02:02:53):
I don't even know what they're talking about. Now, somebody
could have written a letter and used my name, but
that's happened a lot.
Speaker 2 (02:02:59):
Or you have to do.
Speaker 3 (02:03:00):
Just take a look at the.
Speaker 2 (02:03:00):
Dossier, the fake Dosier.
Speaker 20 (02:03:02):
Everything's faked with that administration.
Speaker 2 (02:03:05):
Everything's faked with the Democrats. Take a look at.
Speaker 20 (02:03:08):
What they just found about the dossier. Everything is fake.
There are a bunch of sick people. Where did you
see the people laying outside?
Speaker 15 (02:03:16):
Did you want it?
Speaker 3 (02:03:17):
Right? It from.
Speaker 2 (02:03:20):
All right?
Speaker 4 (02:03:20):
And so now on that note, over to Russiagate, which
is where Trump's trying to take the conversation. If you
want to talk about Epstein talked to Larry Summers and
Bill Clinton, who went to the island twenty eight times.
He says, let's talk about what we just discovered with Russiagate,
and it was it was a big deal. And John
Ratcliffe says, it's such a big deal. Here's a list
(02:03:42):
of names of people who are likely to be indicted.
Speaker 2 (02:03:44):
Here we go.
Speaker 26 (02:03:45):
So what I think I hear you saying is there
is still an opportunity for indictments, potential prosecutions, accountability from
those people who may have lied under oath, like John Brennan,
James Comy, and Perhapshillary Clinton.
Speaker 27 (02:04:01):
Well, that's why I've made the referrals that I have,
d n I Gabbard has made referrals, and why we're
going to continue to share the intelligence that would support
the ability of our Department of Justice to make fair
and just bring fair and just claims against those who
have perpetrated this hoax against the American people and this
stain on our country.
Speaker 26 (02:04:21):
Director one other question on this, Telsea as well as
President Trump usually went on, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:04:26):
Yeah, So looks like John Brennan, James Comy, Hillary Clinton
likely to be indicted over the involvement in Russiagate. If
anybody lays a hand and I mean this figuratively, uh
with it.
Speaker 2 (02:04:39):
It's a term using boxing.
Speaker 4 (02:04:40):
When someone gets out today, they never let a hand
on them. It means being held accountable or taking a
punch of any kind. If Hillary Clinton gets in trouble,
I'll be shocked.
Speaker 2 (02:04:49):
Oh yea, yeah, you're right. It just feels like you
cannot get a Clinton. Yeah, yeah, you can't get them.
So anyway, there's your update kind of where we are.
Anybody tired of winning?
Speaker 3 (02:05:02):
Anyone winning? Who's tired?
Speaker 4 (02:05:05):

Been an explosion on this product, god mine end. Over
the weekend. Good stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:07:45):
Okay, So over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (02:07:48):
I told you, Sherry and I my sweet little wife,
just love her so much, and you know, we go
to our go to the farm, and anytime this is happening,
there's always this that little back to tension.
Speaker 2 (02:08:01):
Again.
Speaker 4 (02:08:02):
We love each other so much. When I go there,
all I'm thinking about is what's the situation with the fish,
what's the situation with the deer, the turkeys? And all
Sherry's thinking about is how can we make this place
more beautiful?
Speaker 2 (02:08:17):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (02:08:17):
And then dream she has of filling the blank. Okay,
I mean, that's it. It's fine. We both have our
areas that we enjoy. And yeah, uh so we're these
these last two weekends, you know, fully transparent. It's been
a really really active seven months for all of it,
(02:08:37):
for all of us. Okay, and we'll take a vacation
next week and not this weekend, but last weekend I
still had you know, speaking engagement that I was doing
over the weekend, so I didn't completely And so we've
kind of been talking about, you know, we don't get
down there enough.
Speaker 2 (02:08:53):
Gary. He makes a great point. Hey, I don't say
what good it is to have a place like he
has and invest in it.
Speaker 4 (02:08:59):
You never get to come down here. So we're like,
you know what if we get free weekends and we
don't get a lot of them, we're going to be
there and then of course spend time, you know, on
vacations and stuff like that. So, uh, the last two
weekends we've gone down there and just had a wonderful
time relaxing a little bit.
Speaker 2 (02:09:16):
It's all been going really good. And so.
Speaker 4 (02:09:22):
I'm out there on the porch. I mean, you know,
see some people walking down the dirt road. You on
the porch, you have to engage them. I've got my
busbox coffee. I'm I'm chilling hair all over my head,
slept talking to my beautiful wife. We're having our coffee
and conversation. She goes, Now, then all of a sudden,
it happened. Now, don't forget now at ten thirty, you
(02:09:42):
know we're gonna go over and and here here Dr Powell.
Speaker 2 (02:09:47):
Huh. And I said, I'm sorry, what, cause here's what
I thought you said, Doctor Powell. I thought you just
what did what did you just say?
Speaker 4 (02:09:56):
Well, you know we're he's having that seminar today over
there at this place she loves and like a good seminar.
I'll tell you there's people all over the world that
that watch on YouTube. Doctor Arley Powell. He's he's he's
he's like the like an expert on all things fruit,
trees and plants and and and I'm like counting the
(02:10:20):
minutes for that. So what do I say? What every
man would have said? Well, yeah, baby, go enjoy that.
That's cool. I need to work on my game cameras anyway,
I gotta start getting them ready. And she goes, no, no,
you're we're down here together.
Speaker 2 (02:10:35):
The seminar.
Speaker 4 (02:10:36):
Is there anything worse? When I'll show your wife declares
we're doing all this together. And I'm like, I know
you're in the trees.
Speaker 2 (02:10:43):
Yeah, And I said, I said what.
Speaker 4 (02:10:46):
She goes, I know you can't miss this. He's gonna
be talking about pears and figs and I'm like, pears.
Speaker 2 (02:10:51):
And figs, what what do you mean? And and she's like, yes,
we're going and and see, this is the thing that
I get that about about social media. There's no way
she would have known this, no way, right, but she
follows them on Instagram. And because she follows this place
on Instagram, then she knows what doctor Powell's doing. And uh.
Speaker 4 (02:11:14):
And I'm like, uh, because that's the first thing I thought,
I do you even know about this?
Speaker 22 (02:11:19):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:11:19):
Well, I follow them on Instagram. I had this.
Speaker 4 (02:11:21):
I thought this is a perfect weekend because we're coming
down here. I said, I just want to be sure
I have this right. And you're you're saying, I'm going
over to this plant place and I'm gonna sit down
in a seminar with other plant people and listen to
all things about figs and pears, and she goes, well,
probably muscadine as well, and we're going to throw it
(02:11:42):
to say and I said, what do you mean? And
we're going to learn about how to plant them and
contest on it how we can do it better. And
you know, I'd like to identify this pear tree we
have back here, and I'll find out about it and
how we could do better with it.
Speaker 2 (02:11:54):
And then the tour, I said, the tour plants up
close right? He said, oh, she said, oh yeah, he's
gonna make this skip to the is this person? Who
is this?
Speaker 3 (02:12:04):
Is this?
Speaker 2 (02:12:06):
So she's had this planned? Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:12:08):
Where this?
Speaker 2 (02:12:09):
How did you not a How did you not know
about it? She says? She told me. She claims, I
don't listen, but at least that's what I think.
Speaker 4 (02:12:19):
So you're on the front porch at this got it
just like a porchfe I just I've just come through
my victory up there at the fast food place where
I tried to figure out what was quicker the drive through,
were going in and you recovered I've got to I've
knocked a biscuit back.
Speaker 2 (02:12:31):
You were already thinking about the day time. I got
a short tone. I've have to time. I have time alife.
This is interacting with people walking down road. I have
to going, and she's about that. By the way, get
a new topic. Everybody's tired. Are you talking about the weather?
That's all I got. How y'all doing? She got you
out for a walk now heat of the day. You
got to get her out earlier. I know, I know,
(02:12:53):
y'all getting that rain. It's scattered. Okay, good? I want
too many questions? Yeah, but I'm having I'm having a blast.
I mean, all I'm thinking about is I'm gonna try
them solar panels on my cameras.
Speaker 4 (02:13:05):
Let's say you had a list and it was the
things that you did not want to do Saturday. I
got to tell you, coming in with a bullet would
be it would be going to hear about fig trees
and pear trees.
Speaker 2 (02:13:19):
The heck am I talking about Saturday? Why are you
trying to find something good? I even said this, I said,
what have I done? I think I've been really good lately.
I'm gonna roll here. And she said, I'm not. No,
I'm not upset. I thought this is something we can
do together. Did you try to do well? I'll just
mess it up.
Speaker 11 (02:13:36):
And then probably the whole reason she went down to
the farm for the weekend and he didn't even know it.
Speaker 2 (02:13:40):
And then it happened, and then it happened. And have
you ever heard this? Were you get in trouble on
behalf of men, just on behalf of all men?
Speaker 22 (02:13:48):
See?
Speaker 2 (02:13:48):
This is it? This is what y'all do. See now,
if we were down here and you wanted me to
go with you look at these game cameras, and you
wanted me to go over to the pond and do
some fishing, or you wanted to go over here and
do this. You want to take me and show me that.
Then then then it would be wonderful that we're doing
this together. And then what does that happen? I asked
you to do what is it?
Speaker 3 (02:14:08):
One thing?
Speaker 2 (02:14:10):
Hey, ladies, ladies, y'all have never asked for one thing, right,
I don't know why, But if you said one thing
more than one time, it's no longer one thing.
Speaker 4 (02:14:18):
No, okay, one thing should be said. One time. I
asked you to do one thing with me, and.
Speaker 2 (02:14:23):
Here we go.
Speaker 4 (02:14:24):
You get all grumbled like I felt like it was.
I felt like I was in coal miner's daughter and
I was Tommy Lee Jones. You grumbled over it like
an old bar yeah you know, and I'm like, baby,
I just don't think I can do it. I don't
think I can How long?
Speaker 2 (02:14:37):
How long is it? And she goes, well, I don't
know how long it is until he's done?
Speaker 4 (02:14:42):
I thought, man, of course, then you in the back
of your mind when she was making her great point.
Speaker 2 (02:14:47):
You go, well, I really never wanted job to go
with me to look at game cameras. My you know
what I'm saying. It's like you're trying to get through that.
That's not a good point.
Speaker 3 (02:14:59):
Yeah, and guy looks exactly what you think.
Speaker 11 (02:15:01):
He looks like Greg Oh I need Oh.
Speaker 2 (02:15:06):
Yeah, I got a hat.
Speaker 4 (02:15:07):
I don't care what it looks like him and the
Keiths mccobe that you took that picture?
Speaker 2 (02:15:12):
Is that you, Rick? You took that picture. Hey, everybody's
got a floppy hat on, but you least tell you
had a hat on like that. I didn't have a
hat on like that. Everybody had a Rick Burgess Show campo.
You took that picture? I don't don't know.
Speaker 1 (02:15:30):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. We talked to the
public every day, and trust us, you should be gravely
(02:15:53):
concerned the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 4 (02:15:59):
Alrighty uh so, so I'm all in now because now
my beautiful wife and my best friend has said I
asked you to do one thing.
Speaker 1 (02:16:08):
One.
Speaker 4 (02:16:09):
Yeah, of course I've been told that before, so it's
got to be more than one. But anyway, so so
it's on.
Speaker 2 (02:16:16):
I mean, let me tell you where I'm going. I'm
going to see you here.
Speaker 4 (02:16:19):
Doctor Powell talk about figs, pears, muskednes and uh that.
Speaker 22 (02:16:27):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:16:28):
One time he got off on a rant about raspberries
that grow on a part of the world, which.
Speaker 2 (02:16:31):
I didn't know.
Speaker 4 (02:16:32):
Keep in mind, because of modern technology that doctor Powell
is seen by earthy people all over the country that
have now converged on our world.
Speaker 2 (02:16:44):
See.
Speaker 4 (02:16:44):
I think I'm just hanging out with people from the county.
I pick up pretty quick that's not the case. The
people travel.
Speaker 2 (02:16:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (02:16:51):
So uh, I mean, I can't get over the fact
you started your day going to get breakfast, sitting on
the front porst drinking coffee. Forget completely that she mentioned
this and her day. I remember an excitement of this.
She came out of that bed and all she could
think about was this thing.
Speaker 2 (02:17:09):
Allie, and this is this is the scene. At least
you didn't have to dread it because you didn't know.
Where's your floppy hat?
Speaker 4 (02:17:16):
I don't have a flocky floppy hat on. Let me
tell you what happened. This is the tour. I'm gonna
take you into the barn for a minute. Hey, I
got so they've got a barn over there. Okay, with
pull up chairs. Now keep in mind those you that
can't see. And he is an incredible expert. And if
you don't follow him on YouTube, you should. But he
is Arley Powell. He knows everything. He's been you know,
(02:17:42):
every state, he's been hired, all these different things. He's
looks like he's in his eighties. He's still making it happen.
He's in kind of semi retirement. Now, don't miss that
he's in his eighties. That's important.
Speaker 2 (02:17:52):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:17:52):
So that picture right there, yeah, so belong right. So,
so of course I have to know. I said, please
tell me, please tell me this whole thing's not outside.
I said, because we're get in the middle of the
day now, it's starting to get warm. The koup breeze
in the morning's over. While they well, they tell me
that it's in the barn. I'm asking if it's air condition.
She's like, I just want you to ask of where
it was. Y'all got air condition?
Speaker 2 (02:18:14):
Yes, okay, So I'm called, well, yeah, So I sit
down in there and I look and there's like pear trees,
I guess, and big fig trees. There's grapes, there's there's
stuff everywhere Okay, I mean it's just that, and I
think there's a lot of trees. That's a lot of trees. Okay,
So keep in mind he's in his eighties. Okay, he
(02:18:38):
and his wife meantimes. I think he's done this speech.
Speaker 4 (02:18:41):
He knows what he's talking about too. Oh yeah, you
don't know. Well, it sounds like so I'm sitting down
with Sherry. Everybody's got a flop your hat on. Everybody's
and I got one. Were they called cart cart something
cart shorts?
Speaker 3 (02:18:57):
They got those convertible cargo cargo everybody, everybody in case
he needs to garden in a hurry, I'm.
Speaker 4 (02:19:05):
Looking for anybody I can draft with anybody, Zip them off.
Okay about old blue shirt he's fronting center.
Speaker 2 (02:19:11):
Oh buddy, got he got his arms. Got a real
problem of blue shirt? Oh yeah, he cost us? What
about Santa behind him?
Speaker 3 (02:19:20):
Okay, make fun of everybody on this.
Speaker 2 (02:19:23):
Blue shirt standing at attention.
Speaker 4 (02:19:24):
By the way, guy guy standing behind him on the
picture to the right, the big fan of the show
tried to draft with him.
Speaker 2 (02:19:30):
A little bit. I can see that. I could see,
so anyway, I don't see so anyway.
Speaker 4 (02:19:36):
Here here's the part that here's where Speedy. Here's where
Speedy would have left water. Listen, there's no way you
could have.
Speaker 2 (02:19:43):
Stayed with Okay, no like set it up, all right,
So we sit down, so and and and here's sitting.
We're sitting.
Speaker 4 (02:19:49):
We're sitting in chairs, okay in the barn. Right by
the way, we still have chairs available, y'a. Don't have
to grab a chair if time somebody comes in. And
by the way, I don't care. Again, I still don't
understand why people be on time. I still don't have
any idea. Yeah, because because he'll start over when new
people come in. All right, So first of the move,
so first of all, and also, hey, family, that brought
(02:20:11):
kids really all right, So so anyway, because kids love to.
Speaker 3 (02:20:17):
Hear kids love that, kids love this.
Speaker 2 (02:20:20):
This is school. You've brought kids to school, so anyway,
you know, and I didn't do good in the class format.
So so we're.
Speaker 4 (02:20:26):
Sitting there and and and he his wife is there
to help, mister doctor Powell's wife, sweet sweet lady, blue
shirts on front.
Speaker 2 (02:20:35):
All right, listen, all right, now, this is important. This
is important. This is important. This is important. So they've
got pitches, yeah, ask so many questions. So anyway, So
there's there's there's about five rows of chairs, big gap
behind me to what looks like some sort of kitchen
or something back there where they prepared whatever. No, no,
(02:20:56):
this this is not it.
Speaker 11 (02:20:57):
I'm petering these people sitting there.
Speaker 2 (02:21:00):
Yeah, keep in mind, I'm on the back row, okay,
because I have to be. This is shocking. He's got
his cell phone strapped to his hip. I'm on the
I'm on the back row. I'm on the back row.
Speaker 4 (02:21:13):
And by the way, does everybody know the five piece
that prior planning prevents port performance?
Speaker 2 (02:21:18):
Most don't go by it now they tend the barn rick.
So doctor Powell very very very well versed on all this,
I think we've established. Right. The only problem we don't get.
The only problem Greg is he great?
Speaker 9 (02:21:30):
Is the great?
Speaker 2 (02:21:30):
The only problem is he's well versed on topic that
I'm not interested. That's true. But anyway, he's just you
are just a static kind of.
Speaker 22 (02:21:38):
Great.
Speaker 2 (02:21:38):
Here we go, you're ready, speed, Here we go. So
he gets started. Okay, okay, we can hear him, all
of us can hear him. No, I wish he was louder,
but we can hear him. Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:21:47):
For some reason, his wife thinks he can't be hurt. Okay,
so don't miss this. Okay, this is where you would
have lived. I'm now going to be his wife, who's
all the way back in the kitchen, which is a
gap okay from where the last sary can't know if
this there's a barn. Picture of barn with the concrete
and just like what we got.
Speaker 2 (02:22:03):
How's the airflow? It's it's fine in their tempters, okay.
And so all of a sudden, he starts.
Speaker 21 (02:22:08):
Talking from the back, Honey, you're gonna have to speak
Okayn't nobody here like so so.
Speaker 2 (02:22:14):
So we're on the back row, and it kind of sure,
he goes, no, no, we can't hear him.
Speaker 21 (02:22:18):
Like then he goes, huh, honey, can't nobody hear you
what you're saying?
Speaker 1 (02:22:23):
Nobody here?
Speaker 2 (02:22:24):
We gotta get some kind of microphone and here or
up because can't nobody hear you? And then people sit
and go, we can't hear him. Okay, we're good, but
she's so far back. Nobody's back there. We we don't
have to be back there. So so so then he
would go, can y'all hear me? And then everybody's like yes,
and then we're on the back road. We can hear
(02:22:44):
you would counter right, No, no, he would get this
is where you would last look expedicating. Instead, he would
get deep into something. Gotta be louder, gotta be loud.
Speaker 3 (02:22:59):
Ain't nobody You're like.
Speaker 2 (02:23:01):
We can hear him, we can pas be quiet, ma'am.
And then they try to pull in the worst attempt
at a microphone i've ever seen of First he don't
know how to put it on, and then they.
Speaker 4 (02:23:14):
Look, I don't think it has a battery. Like at
one point, sure, he says, Rick, go help. I said,
I'm not getting in this. I'm not getting this. I said,
they may cancel, you know what I mean? And so
he they try to put a lavy They put a
lavalier like over here it has.
Speaker 2 (02:23:30):
An accomplished show. No, he goes, He goes, can y'all
hear that nail?
Speaker 13 (02:23:33):
Is that better?
Speaker 2 (02:23:34):
And and of course I'm like, we've always heard you okay. First,
by the way, first of all, this doesn't help at all,
but we've all heard you okay. So is that good?
Back there?
Speaker 1 (02:23:43):
Still can't hear you?
Speaker 2 (02:23:45):
You're gonna have to tell louder, honey, I'm sorry you
gotta be louder. Were like no, and then he's like, well,
I'm trying to be louder. I mean, can y'all hear
me for the tenth time, we all here.
Speaker 3 (02:23:57):
Can't hear you?
Speaker 13 (02:23:58):
They can hear me.
Speaker 1 (02:23:59):
It needs to be louder.
Speaker 2 (02:24:01):
You gotta get louder from the bag. Yeah, And so
throughout his entire presentation, Oh my gosh, his entire presentation,
they keep they keep trying microphones. It won't work. Okay,
they keep, they get they get so too. And he
would go, look sometimes speedy. I'm like, exaggerar he'd be
(02:24:22):
forty five minutes once she was louder, and you gotta
be louder. Babies, and and and we're like, we've heard
him the whole time. They don't run the time. We
don't hear this. When you interrupt him.
Speaker 4 (02:24:32):
She's far away and she probably can't hear. And then
he makes the classic teaching speaking mistake. And when he
did it, I just said, you know how you leave
your body? You know almost you have sometimes you have
to leave your body. If you don't, you can't survive
the situation you're in. It's it, it's it's a coping skill.
Where you just leave your body. I went to I was,
(02:24:55):
I was messing with my cameras over back on the land.
I had to leave because here's what happened, the big
mistake of teacher figure could ever make. Look, doctor Powell,
you're a genius. You know more about this, and you
are brilliant.
Speaker 2 (02:25:07):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:25:09):
And for the people that are into this, I can't
imagine what what a resource you are.
Speaker 2 (02:25:13):
Okay, save questions to the end. Do not do not
say to these earthly people in floppy hats. If you
ever have a question, just ask me process.
Speaker 4 (02:25:28):
Oh so, the combination about standing in the combination of
his wife hollering you, we can't hear you, oh gosh,
and floppy hat people interrupting him with questions.
Speaker 2 (02:25:37):
And him, including blue Shirt, who was the biggest offender
with a really thick accent. Don't know where he's from. Huh.
Sherry got mad at me one time because I said,
if he asked another question, I wanna scream ices here.
And I said, and I said, and I said, and
hopefully he'll get up run out, you know what, And
and she said, do not do that, and and I said,
(02:25:58):
if he asked another question, but that the palm and
then well, I can't hear you, baby, I can't you
hear anything, baby snaking up? If you're gonna answer the question,
and she's keep in mind she's nowhere near us, tell
me come join us. If we had chairs back there
where you are, you may have a point. Maybe he
can't be heard back there. Yeah, but where we are,
(02:26:19):
we hear him.
Speaker 11 (02:26:19):
He's fine, And you should have slid out the back
when the wife asked you why you were.
Speaker 2 (02:26:26):
Leaving, why I didn't hear him, I said, And then
she looked at me. Don't you hear him? I said, yes,
I hear him, so so so then just when I
think it's over, So now we're gonna go ahead and
take the tour. What do you say? Oh yeah, oh yes,
We're gonna walk around with him. He gonna show us
what they're growing out there. And I'm like, well, we've
been here two hours, week a week, starving, two hours
(02:26:47):
I've been in there.
Speaker 1 (02:26:48):
Okay, this is the Rick Burgess Show, doing what he
was born to do, the Rick budget Show.
Speaker 8 (02:27:08):
Okay, so.
Speaker 4 (02:27:12):
I'm I've made it through the barn presentation. Wait, too
many questions from people, the constant interruption of we can't
hear your talk louder, even though we all could hear him.
Speaker 2 (02:27:27):
I'm assistant coach, Yes, wife, his wife was.
Speaker 4 (02:27:30):
Playing assistant coach was so now I understand, and I'm
thinking to myself.
Speaker 2 (02:27:35):
All I can think of is if we head out
into the acreage.
Speaker 4 (02:27:38):
Here where all the different vines and trees and bushes
and stuff are, maybe I can wander off. You know,
I don't know, I don't know what I'm going to
look at, but I like for deer tracked. Well, you
know how you start trying to make eye contact with
somebody who may be struggling like you are, and you're thinking,
is there another man here that could, like I could
(02:28:01):
like draft with, And all of a sudden I heard
this phrase from another man there.
Speaker 2 (02:28:09):
He was not in a floppy hat.
Speaker 4 (02:28:11):
I could tell he probably was brought by a floppy
hat person, but he was not a floppy hat person.
He did he wouldn't dress like the others. And all
of a sudden he said something about deer, and I said,
what what did you say? He said, yeah, I just
I was wondering deer hunting, and uh, you know I
do a lot of deer hunting. I said, do you,
and I mean it's I mean, I almost ran into
(02:28:31):
his arms.
Speaker 3 (02:28:33):
Let's go, let's go.
Speaker 2 (02:28:34):
Over here, I said, I think this is some tracks.
And so before I knew it, we were we started
pulling our phones out and start looking at game pictures
and uh, and I think, well, this is what I need,
this is what I need. And then and then and
then I look and I see Sherry and she's like,
(02:28:56):
come up here with the group, learn about fig and
now he's giving her I figs ate off the vine
and you know, people people cutting pairs up and with
pocket knives.
Speaker 4 (02:29:05):
And I'm like, I'm good, and she was like, what
are you doing over there? And none of you kind
of panic for a minute. We found me a buddy.
I'm talking to him about stuff and she was like
what what what I said?
Speaker 2 (02:29:20):
He's he's a You're talking about pairs and she's like,
you're not talking about and I'm like, Asian pairs and stuff.
I started pulling stuff I heard from the guy say
that I caught here or there, you know, and and
so we then then I thought, well, does anybody here
(02:29:42):
know what a pergola is? Who? No, no, no, buddy.
Then you then you hear this phrase, come come, I
want to show you this pergola. And I thought, what
is a pergola? And and and and I don't know
that I want to. And I looked at him. I said,
you know what a purgole is? I said, tell you?
Is it a plant or something? He goes, no, I
don't think so, I don't know what that is. I said,
(02:30:04):
do you want to? I mean, do you have a ride?
You know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (02:30:07):
And apparently this is these things people make where they
have the little wood overhang anything.
Speaker 2 (02:30:14):
I'd never heard the word. I know what it meant. Yeah,
it was a scary word, very scary. One get a
hold of it and suddenly terrifying. It was terrifying, yeah,
because I thought to myself, there's no way that can
be good. And then he pointed, he said, well, she
seems to be walking through that structure over there.
Speaker 4 (02:30:32):
He's showing us the pergula. And I'm like, this is
that purgula where you grow with stereo or something about
with stereo.
Speaker 2 (02:30:38):
Or maybe have one on the back porch? Okay, and sorry?
And I thought, you know how you get to the
point and I think, how much longer? At this point?
Speaker 4 (02:30:47):
I can feel the sun that we're outside. The sun's
in the back of my neck and I can just
feel it and and and I'm starting so hard.
Speaker 2 (02:30:55):
You're so hot.
Speaker 4 (02:30:56):
The only thing, let's face it, when you're hearing something
that you're really into, you know, like something like.
Speaker 2 (02:31:02):
A football game, we'll we'll go through a lot of
misery for that. We'll set out in the sun, we'll struggle,
you know. But when you're in this sun and you're
struggling and it's something you're not really into, and you
kind of have that thing like, you know how, you go,
I'm good, I'm good, I'm good. Starting to run out
of gas. I'm out of gas. Yeah, you know, I'm done.
(02:31:22):
I am out of gas, and.
Speaker 4 (02:31:24):
You're and you're like, and then I just started. I
don't know what happened. It's almost like I started. It's
like a panic hit me, and I had to keep
telling myself.
Speaker 2 (02:31:31):
You're not lost. There's a car, your car's right over there,
you're not trapped here.
Speaker 4 (02:31:37):
I started feeling like, you ever have something going so
long you think I don't know that I'll ever know
life outside of this again. Have you ever got like
that and you're just clinging to anybody I'm looking at
game pictures. This guy gets in trouble with his wife.
She's like, come over here, what are y'all doing? And
I said, do we say?
Speaker 27 (02:31:53):
And and this?
Speaker 4 (02:31:53):
And then then I found out, you know how you
gotta be You got to you gotta better think on
your feet, yep. And all of a sudden, I just said, yeah,
we're over here talking about deer, and then he panics
to stay with me, you got any ideas of how
to keep deer from beating up all you stuff?
Speaker 2 (02:32:10):
I thought that was brilliant, and he was.
Speaker 4 (02:32:12):
He went on a monologue that just took everybody in
to how to keep deer out of your garden, keep
deer off your trees and all that.
Speaker 2 (02:32:19):
So to see that way, I'm not lying. Did you
pay attention?
Speaker 4 (02:32:22):
Oh no, I I just I just wanted to go
back looking at game pictures. But when I threw when
I threw deer out there, it seemed to get something
going that sounded like I participated. I just I think
at one point, at one point, I just threw the
word deer out and I and I saw everybody start,
you know, getting into it, and I said, big problems
with deer and you got any suggestions for doctor Powell
(02:32:45):
tree and I.
Speaker 2 (02:32:45):
Spent all this time on all this stuff. This is
just great. But then the deer eat and I didn't
know where it is.
Speaker 4 (02:32:49):
I thought his wife had disappeared. And I was kind
of up on a little bit of a hill and
he was down there with all these vines. I thought
his wife was gone. And then I said, you got
any pointers for everybody for deer? And he goes to
answer me. I hear him up the up there at
the shop.
Speaker 3 (02:33:01):
I don't think I can hear you, and I'm.
Speaker 2 (02:33:03):
Like his minusor volume. I hear him and he's fine.
Speaker 4 (02:33:15):
So apparently a pergolas something. Oh yeah, it's what's it's
a scary word.
Speaker 22 (02:33:22):
I was like it.
Speaker 4 (02:33:23):
And of course that I had to say because the
guys around. And when I went over there, I said,
you want me to building one of those babies? And
she just looked at me and I said, let's go
with it. And uh and I said, yeah, I have
to look at this. I'm not sure this way. We'll
do it over on our property. And I had to
get us some probably two by fours and everybody. Then
(02:33:44):
I see doctor Powell looking at me with his face,
and I'm like, or whatever you think, doctor Powell, buddy,
probably the way I do it. Tell me how you
did this, because I want to take notes. At this point,
I'm trying to do anything to survive. At one point,
I'm talking about building the percula.
Speaker 2 (02:34:01):
From beginning to live from beginning. You just found out
where the percolate was, and now you're trying to build one.
You said the seminar was two hours. I need beginning
to end. How long will you? Oh, I've got your number.
Four hours, fifteen minutes? What four hours? Dinner time time?
And here's the part you're gonna hate.
Speaker 3 (02:34:22):
You know what, you know what?
Speaker 2 (02:34:23):
You know what was out in front of me. My
turkey mount was ready, and and Cherry kept saying, now
when we finished, we'll go to we'll go get the
turkey mount.
Speaker 4 (02:34:30):
And I thought, yes, the turkey that I shot, it's ready.
I can't wait to go in campus and put it.
Don't put it right there in front of the fireplace.
Speaker 2 (02:34:36):
Didn't know. I can't wait. I'm excited about it. Get
over to David's taxidermy. It's closed because we stayed, we
stay loose. I didn't even get my turkey. You won't
believe you drive off. You don't believe how many times
I wondered about it. I kept knocking on doors, pulling
on stuff. Some guy left their truck there and it
gave me home. And the truck even had the windows down.
(02:34:58):
I said, somebody's got to be here. Tell me so.
I didn't even get my turkey. Did that come with
commentary as you got back in the truck or would
you just like oh oh? He didn't say so.
Speaker 4 (02:35:08):
They probably close a little earlier on Saturday. Probably couldn't
make it other than than just three hours.
Speaker 1 (02:35:14):

Here we go a lot to cover the gang all
here speedy, Greg and Adler, and now we'll go unstreined.
Phone calls this hour as well, and we'll updates you
and all the stories that are still out there. Uh,
this big brawl in Cincinnati?
Speaker 28 (02:36:12):
What?
Speaker 2 (02:36:12):
What an the world? What is going on with this
big bral?
Speaker 12 (02:36:15):
What?
Speaker 2 (02:36:15):
What is this an?
Speaker 15 (02:36:17):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:36:18):
This is rough it is in in Cincinnati. There was
this a big music festival going on. The music festival
has said that the fight was not related to the festival.
But this is downtown, uh, Cincinnati. Over the weekend. The
police are still investigating, trying to figure out who these
(02:36:38):
people are, even the people that were that were that
are going to be attacked in this video, they're trying
to figure out who they are. You're going to see
a crowd kind of circling around this guy in a
white guy in a white shirt, let's call him white guys.
Speaker 2 (02:36:51):
Say that bald speedy twenty yours is down.
Speaker 3 (02:36:54):
But the white guy in the white shirt is getting
attacked by several people, a large group who's kicking him
while he's down. And there are a lot of people attacking.
But I've watched this video several times and there are
two people that are the worst and that is going
to be red shirt, black jeans, and it's a black guy,
red shirt, black jeans. And then you've also got this
(02:37:16):
guy in the white shirt and jorts. White shirt and joints.
Jeorts is going to come up later because he is
going to punch a woman in the face. Get and
so here's red shirt. Red shirt does a lot of
the kicking and punching while though the white guys down
and unfortunately you do have a largely black group of
assailants beating up two white people. Now there are some
(02:37:39):
black guys that come in and try to get the
white guy up on his feet. Right here, you can
see there's a there's a black guy. Then this is
the woman right here that is gonna be punched. So
now the white dude in the white shirt is back
on the ground and getting attacked again, and his face
is bloody. He's doing bad. This is the big viral
fight in Cincinnati they have this weekend. Here's red shirt again.
(02:37:59):
He's coming back around, yes, and he's he's trying to
get another piece of white shirt. Who's on the ground.
Red shirt is going to be pushed back by a
mob of people at some of his friends and some
of the people that were kicking earlier are now holding
back Red shirt. Okay, now you've you've got girl in
flower dress, White girl in flower dress, who's trying to
help up the guy in the white shirt, the white guy.
(02:38:21):
Now girl in flower dress is now getting mad at
red shirt. Now white shirt is in the George is
going to come up and knock her clean out. And
now she is clean out on the ground, and that's
kind of how everything goes terrible. She's just out on
the ground, y'all. Blood blood rolling down her mouth, and
that is a that is not good, y'all. That's you
(02:38:43):
can die from a few of the things we saw here.
And here is the guy that did it right. Here
is the guy in the george in the white graphic
te he is. He and red shirt are the two
main people that cause the most damage. And they definitely
should do some jail time.
Speaker 2 (02:38:57):
So but nobody, so nobody knows who started this.
Speaker 3 (02:39:02):
This is absolutely people are trying to figure it out,
but it is horror, horrific.
Speaker 4 (02:39:07):
The guy that was on his back, he quit fighting early,
and they still kept and he was no threat to nobody,
No well cowardice.
Speaker 2 (02:39:17):
They just kept hitting him, kicking him, hitting him, kicking.
Speaker 11 (02:39:19):
And they'll ident identify every individual. And they held a
press conference over on it and said that they have
an investigative team trying to id everybody as well as
figure out what in the world was happening. But I mean,
you've got a mob that's just attacking a guy on
the ground.
Speaker 2 (02:39:36):
I don't. Yeah.
Speaker 11 (02:39:38):
Then, like you said, the lady comes in and tries
to help and she gets sucker punched and knocked out.
Speaker 3 (02:39:43):
That dude caught her right on the chin and she
went from standing up to her head being on the concrete.
And that is honestly, you can die very easily from that. Like, no,
street fights are not a joke. Oh my gosh, I
would never fight in in the street fight ever again
in my life.
Speaker 4 (02:39:58):
Well, like you said too, there's more ultiple things that
people could be killed. The way the guy on the
ground keeps being kicked in the head and punched. Win's
down that you can kill somebody that way too, oh
of course, And sadly, sadly, and.
Speaker 2 (02:40:09):
Hitting a woman ever is unacceptable.
Speaker 11 (02:40:12):
See, this is wrong, no matter color or anything. This
is wrong, okay, And that's how most of us see that,
But unfortunately the media doesn't. That's why you don't hear
about this. You don't hear about it because it doesn't
fit their agenda. And that's sad, so we should all
care about this no matter who's hitting who.
Speaker 2 (02:40:32):
This is wrong. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:40:33):
Well, and then you know, God forbid, but you can't
see it. Yeah, God forbid if the guy in the
white shirt, you know, would have been armed. If he
comes up and starts gunning people down who are trying
to beat him like an animal, and before you know it,
then suddenly everybody want us to do something about the
fact that he shot a bunch of people. This is
(02:40:54):
I mean, you go and treating people this way, like
y'all said. I don't know what started it, but once
the guy was down, you've made your point. You're done's
And then the whole thing about everybody trying to stop
it when he's had more than enough and you punch
a female that's trying to keep you all from punching
a guy anymore and knock her out cold.
Speaker 2 (02:41:14):
I mean, what a bunch of coywards.
Speaker 3 (02:41:15):
Yeah, and a bunch of idiots, and including the white
guy in the white shirt that got his booty beat horrifically.
I found out I found this clip just now as
I'm trying to research this. Here, you're gonna see the dude,
the bald headed white dude that just got destroyed. He
actually starts to fight, you've got.
Speaker 2 (02:41:32):
Starts it, or he's defending himself and he starts it.
Speaker 3 (02:41:37):
From what I can tell, he's gonna slap Red shirt
guy in the face. He's gonna slap his face. You've
got a group of guys arguing, looks like a group
of white guys and a group of black guys arguing,
and you're gonna see white shirt. Did you see that
little tap there that like right there at the beginning,
I think, yeah, I think, and that's what's being said,
(02:41:58):
is happening in this video, and it looked like it.
But I can't confirm that white guy does slap him.
But whatever he does makes the guy the other group
of guys very mad and right, that's what kicks this
whole thing off, right.
Speaker 11 (02:42:10):
Yeah, And then but but to your point, Rick, if
it was between these two guys and he did slap somebody,
but then let them to settle it, and then once
he's knocked out on the ground, it's over. Oh yeah,
Now everybody on the street wants a piece.
Speaker 2 (02:42:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:42:23):
No matter if white shirts started it, there still was
a point that he had been The retaliation was more.
Speaker 2 (02:42:33):
Than enough and it just keeps on and keeps it
on and keeps on. Is if you want the end
result to be death? Right? Because the threat to nobody
after he got laid out. No, no, no, not at all.
Speaker 12 (02:42:44):
But that was that.
Speaker 4 (02:42:46):
That's the part I don't get is why wasn't there
some sort of we've done enough, let him up. I
think he was ready to go, I mean, and be
done with it. And then you go from I'm trying
to defend myself against somebody who was coming after me,
even though it didn't like he was doing anything that
was a threat to your life or anything. But I
(02:43:06):
understand getting angry, but you you already you accomplished what
you needed to and then it turned into like a
frenzy of of animals. Yeah, that's the part that I
don't get, no matter who started it. No, yeah, it's
wrong no matter who started. I mean, what it got
to so anyway, especially the woman being kind.
Speaker 3 (02:43:28):
She got laid out. Man, that's like you need to
stay in the hospital for a few days and make
sure you don't have brain brain brain brain bleed. Ye.
Hard for me to say.
Speaker 4 (02:43:42):
So you're saying that the Music Festival says it's not
tied here. What what would all those people be downtown because.
Speaker 3 (02:43:49):
Of the festival though, I mean they have been down. Yeah,
it was it in the festival grounds, and so they're
trying to wash their hands or the whole thing. Man,
but everything everywhere I can find, they're still trying to
identify everybody, including the people that got beat.
Speaker 2 (02:44:05):
We'll be back more of the rick Burgers show coming
up right after this.
Speaker 1 (02:44:09):
This is the rick Burgers Show. Go ahead, Man, Strange
and Cutters, the new podcast from Rick Burgess. Get it

Speaker 4 (02:44:32):
Episode nine now available, No, grab it wherever you get podcasts,
and thank you for your feedback on it already. Alrighty,
so a couple of things to run by you. And
our relief factor has been with the show for quite
a while. Look I gotta have it. I mean all
natural inflammation. If that's the problem, relief factor likely will
(02:44:55):
be the answer. The majority of the people that get
the quick Start pack that's three few weeks for nineteen
ninety five, they go onto order more. I've been on
it for years now years, and I mean I can't
tell you how much younger I feel.
Speaker 2 (02:45:09):
My joints feel so much better.
Speaker 4 (02:45:11):
If you're struggling with pain and it's tied to inflammation,
how about an all natural answer over the counter stuff
it can it serves a purpose, but it's not designed
to be used every day for ongoing maintenance. A matter
of fact, you shouldn't do that. Dangerous opioids. How many
lives have they destroyed? So when it comes to pain management,
(02:45:33):
what about a natural approach? These four botanicals. Have you
ever seen how many trials? How much research we have
on these botanicals? I mean, resveratrol A lot to talk
about that, curcumin, I caring fish oil, Omega three got
that too, So go get yours right now Relief Factory
(02:45:54):
dot com, relief Factor dot com, or use our link
at Rick Burgess Show dot com right there to the
sponsors button and hopefully it'll bring you that natural relief
that it has for so many of us. So horrible
story in downtown Cincinnati. We'll see how all that works
its way out. Let's go to video nine. Wow Wow

one hundred and thirteen pounds dead lift. Yes, yes, this is.

So what do you dead lift? One thousand, thirteen pounds?
Speaker 11 (02:47:43):
One thousand, one hundred Look at the bar, it's like
dead looking a thousand addlers?
Speaker 2 (02:47:48):

Speaker 3 (02:47:49):

one pound.
Speaker 4 (02:47:58):
We couldn't budge that for like I could probably you know,
almost get it. But anyway, why is the neuroscientist shirtless
in this next video?
Speaker 3 (02:48:08):

Speaker 2 (02:50:05):
It it's it was he got he got through. It
he got through. IT i cannot believe that's on. Him
he's like a man lifts one thirteen pounds and On
bell's is a little messed. Up well in a big.
Handle there's probably hemorrhoids because there's just a lot of
stuff on his body giving up during. That, yeah have you?
Speaker 3 (02:50:27):
ALL i mean there are horrible videos of PEOPLE'S.
Speaker 2 (02:50:30):
I don't want to talk. About, yeah pick, yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:50:35):
They're JUST i, mean just like just, inverting, inverting you know,
what all the.
Speaker 2 (02:50:41):
Pressure you'll see the.
Speaker 3 (02:50:42):
People that are doing the deadlife and their noses just
starts bleeding while they're doing. It if you're doing, that
that's too much. Weight, people you're doing too much. Weight
your nose is.
Speaker 2 (02:50:51):
Bleeding because you're lifting a certain amount of. Weight amount to.
Speaker 3 (02:50:54):
Go, yes you can give yourself an. ANEURYSM i agree
with the.
Speaker 2 (02:50:57):
Texture this is a person that proves the nephil still.
Roles he is a.
Speaker 3 (02:51:02):
Giant where is he?
Speaker 2 (02:51:03):
From Like Lobster tales and that, documentary they went back
to his hometown.
Speaker 6 (02:51:13):
The.
Speaker 11 (02:51:13):
Streets he walked through the streets and like normal sized
people were around, him and he looked like in that
compared to everybody.
Speaker 4 (02:51:20):
Else all, Right shirtless neuroscience Doctor. Farhan he says increasing
reliance ON ai is damaging our.
Speaker 2 (02:51:29):
Brains, yeah it is using them.

And uh and you know take. It it hurts this
guy's case that he doesn't have a shirt, on he's.
Speaker 2 (02:51:36):
Shirtless give you three examples how.
Speaker 23 (02:51:39):
Direct number, one if you look at taxi drivers speed
who use.
Speaker 3 (02:51:44):
A, gps their hippocampus.
Speaker 23 (02:51:46):
Shrinks why because the hippo campus is in charge of
memory and. Learning so rather than exploring the, world rather
than getting lost in a, city you depend.
Speaker 2 (02:51:57):
On technology and that shrinks your hippo.
Speaker 23 (02:51:59):
Campus number two is when you are doing, research rather
than going into the unknown and doing things that are,
difficult you want, comfort so you Ask CHAD gpt for
every little. Thing that makes your pattern recognition centers go
lower and your critical thinking skills, suck and.
Speaker 1 (02:52:20):
That is why you get.
Speaker 3 (02:52:22):
Dementia.
Speaker 23 (02:52:24):
Now number, three when you write an, essay when you
write an, email when you write.
Speaker 7 (02:52:28):
Text what do you?
Speaker 3 (02:52:29):
Do you Consult CHAD.
Speaker 23 (02:52:31):
Gpt that is a big mistake because rather than using
your creative thinking your alpha. Waves this was a study
recently done BY mit And. Harvard when you use your alpha,
waves you can do pattern.
Speaker 2 (02:52:44):
Recognition you can be creative in your, writing but you
will not be able to do that if you Use CHAD.
Speaker 23 (02:52:51):
Gpt so for all of you who suck in, memory
who suck at, learning who are completely dependent On chad
g app for, everything listen.
Speaker 3 (02:53:01):
Up, okay SO i thought it a, lot it, shrinks
so hippo, CAMPUS.
Speaker 2 (02:53:07):
I really think he's probably he's making It good's right
dress stress that.
Speaker 11 (02:53:12):
