Greg Adder already ready for another Rick Birdess show. Let's
move forward. Ready, everybody ready read move forward? So we
(02:15):
do have we do have a lot to cover today.
I was telling Greg, you know, nobody likes this. Nobody,
nobody likes what happened a few moments ago. To me,
doesn't matter when you have to get up. You know, now,
if you're an early riser, you really really hate it.
And that is the you're in the middle of the night,
you're asleep here. Oh and then you're in your dream world.
(02:41):
You know, I think I heard it. Maybe I just
dreamed that. I'm like, I think something's beeping, and then
word And then you get up. You look around and
you see no clock lit up, nothing, You powers out
in your house and oh no. And what it is
(03:01):
is it's all your little security system and everything going
hey hey, hey, we have nothing. We get up barge
now and and and the crul of cruels it is.
It's just late enough that there's there's no there's no
hope going back to sleep. But it's a little bit
too early to go ahead and say, well, I'm just
(03:22):
gonna get up and start going. And you you get
your phone and you make sure you got your alarm
set on your phone, and you try me, let me
see if I just grab one more forty five minute
our sleep, but you can't because now the air conditions off.
So you then that gets in your head, that's hot
in there, and it's really not yet because the sun
hadn't come up and you had your AC going, so
(03:43):
there's still enough of it that it's but you don't,
you don't, you know something's not right, and so you're
constantly did you get concerned about your phone? You know?
Did that work? Charge that? And then you kind of
want to know what's going on. And then you're like,
did I sleep through a storm? I don't remember a storm? Yeah?
And so eventually, of course Greg told me what this is?
(04:04):
I get from the power company that I mean this
was their literal words on the text. Overgrown tree is
in the power line. It's not good. So what does
that mean? Greg? Over the turn overgrown? That is what
that all sounds like that you ride away is not
in great shape and it needed to be back. It
(04:26):
probably just means a tree failing.
Speaker 5 (04:29):
Did it grow into the line or did it fall
into the line?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
I don't know. Here it is greg, you know how
they send the little the text thing out here. It
is our system shows power has been restored, and it
gives my address of course, you know, right at the
time I get up three twelve am. All right, the
cause of outage is an overgrown tree in all caps. Okay,
I guess I don't know what. I don't know what
(04:55):
that means. Sounds like that. So it was only out
about an hour, but it was which was that's a
telephone line, not a power line. Yeah, there you go.
But you know how he is, let me double check
that may you don't have to double check.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
He's back.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
He's just trying to find a line with the tree,
that's all. That's all. He's just trying to find some either.
Please do not question him on these line things. I've
done it before.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
I look at all these power lines.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Three of them are yeah, all of these are power. Sure,
there's line, there's a telephone, and then you go up
there's three secondary right there coming from that track. I
hadn't heard the word cable vision since nineteen seventy.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
I don't think cable vision.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Well that's what I call Yeah, but anyway, keep showing
images that aren't that yet, right, and then claim they
all please the the other three times you think I
got called out on tip out there in this telephone line.
Oh really, yeah, well what you should do that? Don't
assume just call hey, we got our line down. They
don't know what it is. Well, Greg, you remember what
(06:00):
I told you at the time we did have the
what we did have the storm power line. We did
have the storms, and I told you we had the
tree down that time. I know, the pole down. Oh yeah,
that's bad, that's real bad. And all of a sudden,
I told you when it came when the when the
power company it was either the the cable yeah, the
ones that had transferred, Yeah, where they left the stuff
there and it was rotten. Yeah, whoever all that was,
(06:23):
I remember, I told you they came out and did
a little rig that was supposed to get us through
the day. That was still there. I'm sure. Yeah, that
was probably two months ago. Oh yeah, it's still like that.
It's gonna be that way a while. Yeah, yeah, half
a year, I'm claiming half a year. Yeah, yeah, but
it looks so unstable. Oh yeah, I mean, I mean
some of you would really do to say, I mean,
there's no power connected to that one, but they wouldn't,
(06:45):
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, but it looks like
like a bunch of kids in neighborhood, you know, tried
to put something together and they're just leaving it like that.
I how long? I mean like I said that, because
then now you go to, Okay, who was supposed to
go get it cable because there's no power lines.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
You found the last power line that Greg ever worked on, guys,
picture of it is.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
None of that. So anyway, so that's you know, you know,
every line, every hour that you that you lose, you
wish you could have. But I'm sorry, I'm just that
kind of sleeper. If you wake me up an hour
before I got to get up and the powers out,
the odds to me going back to sleep is not
where you're hung sleeping away. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
If I just if I just turn over look at
the clock, I easily go back to sleep.
Speaker 6 (07:36):
I'm getting up. I'm dealing with a kid whatever. You know,
if it's something out of the ordinary, it makes a
big difference. Now if I'm just rolling. I can sleep
off all sleep for five more minutes.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
I'll sleep for two more minutes.
Speaker 5 (07:49):
I'll take it.
Speaker 6 (07:49):
Yeah, but if your brain gets going, it's weird and
that makes it so hard.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
And you wide away. What about when you're deep asleep
in a dream and you hear that beating you think
it's part of the dream. You're like, you're maybe that's
not real, trying to figure it all out. Let me guess.
Sherry sounds like yep, no, no, this is what I love.
That's Terry, she can This is what I love about
about sweety pass lights. Do you know that's a wake up?
Here's what I love about sweety pie, honey bunch. Okay,
(08:19):
so I say in the dark, which else shouldn't, but
you can't have powers off because I want to know
what I was doing when I got a flashlight going
and all that. Now I think she hears me. Okay,
so I go up, I figure out what everything is
and stumbling, get it all back, get the phone set up,
laid back down. AlSi About fifteen minutes later, I see
(08:40):
her get up and uh and and I guess she
had to go to the bathroom or something. And if
I hear rumbling around. She gives over her and she
picks up my phone. She starts looking at it. Hey, hey,
power's out. And I was like, yeah, maybe that's why. Yeah,
I told you that, I know, thank you, thank you.
I guess you didn't hear me when I was talking
about sorry, that's fine. You were asleep. Yeah, that's yes.
(09:05):
Maybe I'm full of aware. That's that's all this I've
been doing. But if they got you back on in
like an hour, that was pretty good because they had
to call somebody, they had to come out from home.
They weren't standing out there way on something that happened.
Then they had to get somebody to come get it
out of It wasn't bad and and and I knew
quickly because I did not recall, you know, we're not
having the storms that we once had during that storm run,
(09:26):
So I didn't hear a storm. And I thought to myself,
of course, my first thought, which is Greg's warm me
the worst somebody's hit the pole in a car crash
and it's broke. I knew it was. I knew what
I meant was. I knew it was a small area,
and I knew it was just my area where I
lived and sometimes that can be good unless some major outage. Yeah,
I'm gonna take you. We're gonna go the numbers.
Speaker 7 (09:47):
We must have had some wind because I saw like
little branches all all. I mean normally don't see a
lot of debris and stuff. You must there must have
been a.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Little something come through. I had little something at my
house that never earned anything that blew the wind a
little bit, probably around six. I didn't have any that
we had. We had something we had seen in like
three weeks at our house. It rained. Actually I couldn't
it a little bit at Orange. Yeah, I was like, what, honey,
come look at this. A matt thunder Creig. I'm probably
could have fixed this. We've been divided on us.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
All is the Rick Burgers Show. Don't forget the Wednesday
Bible study today at noon, several times on The Rick
(10:37):
Burgess Show YouTube chat, a little.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Yeah back today, Wednesday Bible study back today as we
continue our study of the Book of Job. There will
be no Bible study next week as we'll be on vacation,
so making that'd be a good time to catch up
though on maybe some that you've missed, and then you
can get current with us and Lord Willing. Two weeks
from today, we'll go back and pick it right back up.
(11:01):
Uh and and roll on to finish the book of Job.
Speaker 8 (11:05):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
So check on that today if you If you don't
get the the live option on our YouTube channel, Aler
does a great job of giving you the archive on
the YouTube channel and the podcast channel within the within
an hour of us being done. And you go get
it when whenever it works best for you. So a
couple of things I want to make you aware of.
I don't like to talk about taxes. I really don't, uh,
(11:28):
but but taxes are I mean, they're they're a reality.
And and we are to pay our taxes.
Speaker 9 (11:34):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
If you don't pay them, uh, the I R S
is the world's largest collection agency, and they'll be looking
for you.
Speaker 9 (11:42):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
And they can do all kinds of things. They can
also put you in jail. Now I know that were
you think we're living in a time that nobody can
be put in jail anymore. But you can, uh, the
the I R S can garnish your wages, they can
sell off your property. Uh. It's not good. Uh. And
and you know you don't want to go running back
to them. You know we always talk about sometimes it's
time to say come on out, y'all. They guide us.
(12:05):
You need to come to the realization that you need
to resolve this, and they want to resolve it to
a little known fact there, but you don't want to
try to contact them by yourself. So the Better Business
Bureau ranks our friends at US tax Shield with the
A plus rating A plus, so they do a great
work and they can help you take control of your
(12:25):
financial future. So call one eight hundred seven six nine, seven,
three and four. Oh, that's one option. Or you can
go to Rick Burgess show dot com under sponsors and
that phone number is there too. Let's get this resolved.
But be sure you have US tax Shield, you know,
protecting you, representing you, and they'll help you work through
(12:45):
the system. Speaking of people going to jail sort of,
you remember the brutal Cincinnati mob attack. Yeah, we took
a look. See at that horrible you know, which is
this weird thing the least chief there. She seemed more
concerned that we didn't misunderstand and blame social media for
(13:09):
not telling the whole story. But then in her press
conference she never told us the story. I never understood
why she didn't say, well, I'll clear it all up
for you right now. She just kept saying that we
shouldn't jump to conclusions. But then she would never explain it.
You know, I don't know what started the fight. You
seem to know, you seem to be investigating it. Why
don't you tell us? Now, I know what she was saying.
(13:31):
What she was saying without saying it is I don't
want any aboy out there saying that a bunch of
black people jumped a white guy. That's really what she's saying.
I know people won't speak frankly anymore, but that's what
she means. And the real world. That's in the real world.
But I but you know, I'm not concerned about what
color everybody is, but I would like to know what
all the violence was about. And she's more concerned, Like
we'll find out later on this thing with the American
(13:53):
Eagle Blue gene ad. Yeah, we're just living in a
weird The good news is, though, if these are our
concerns that we have now, we've come a long way
on bigotry and racism. I just see a big, violent
fight here. I mean, I wonder if the police chief
and I know the answer would have been so concerned
(14:16):
about making sure we don't have the wrong narrative. If
a bunch of white people had jumped a black man
in downtown Cincinnati, no, we would immediately been told this
is clearly racism. These are white people that hate black people.
It would be a national story, it would be an
international Yeah, but how about this. I don't care what
color everybody is. I don't know it shouldn't happen, No,
but I do. I do want to know why we
(14:36):
have this violent when somebody's obviously under control, no matter
what color they are, and everybody just keeps really looks
it looks like trying to kill them. Let's say why
it Shirt started it? Yeah, it doesn't matter. He ain
been neutralized, it's over. He goes to the ground, he's done,
it's covered up, he's done. Now if he's still a
threat to you, right, fine, And he may have started it, yeah,
(14:58):
and yeah, he may have. But but what I'm say
saying this lady that got knocked out, I didn't start it. No,
But when you say to when you start scolding everyone
at a press conference, that social media, which I agree with,
can can give you false narratives and only part of
the story. I totally, I totally agree with that. But
since you're the chief and you claim to know something
(15:19):
we don't know, tell us. And then when somebody would say, well,
then tell us what happened, she never did. She just
kept telling us what we shouldn't jump to conclusions about
what we think happened. Okay, so tell us what happened,
and she never has. But here here's the update. Two
have been arrested in the brutal Cincinnati mob attack, one
(15:41):
already free on bail despite the serious charges. So the
police chief again, Teresa, announced during a public safety meeting
on Tuesday, that two people have been arrested in connection
to this and is it Montanez Merriweather and m Decraira.
(16:11):
I'm just telling what to say, Kira cra Is it
the Cira?
Speaker 8 (16:14):
It is?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
It could be, It could be the Caira and Martinez
have been taken in. Uh and they uh they It
says that it doesn't it doesn't show us what the
charges are. Uh, but it says there also we have
warrants have been issued for additional arrest. But we know
these two were brought in and one has already posted bell.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
And is out.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
So so what and was it Merriweather? Was that the
guy his last name?
Speaker 10 (16:45):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (16:45):
They they he was previously indicted uh for a July
tenth incident where he received stolen property weapons under some
type of circumstance, improper transportation of them, firearm, other charges.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
So he was already in trouble. Well, it says that
that he he was released on four thousand dollars bond,
though he only needed to post four hundred because you
don't have to post ten percent. Trust me on that, right,
So good system got it and that's how all that works.
Speaker 6 (17:15):
So I wonder if he was the because when we
were breaking it down, we saw the guy in the
red shirt that was doing a lot of the a lot.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
Of the kicking and repeat punching, repeat kicking, And then
we saw the guy in the graphic white shirt graphic
t that cold cocked the woman and not a lady out.
So I wonder if this guy, I think this might
be red shirt.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Yeah, okay, it might be right shirt.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
I think the graphic tea guy had longer hair.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Montanez Merriweather could be also known by this show as
red red Shirt. There's a lot going on in that video.
What about Kira Kaira.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
You know, I'm not sure which one.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
She comes in kind of halfway through it and gets
the couple. Apparently we has a blond wig on that
did stay on. Yeah, maybe she needs to talk to
she needs to talk to the w NBA maybe so
about how to keep a wigging? Ya know, what's wrong
with that?
Speaker 7 (18:08):
That's but you know, back to the police chief about
how social media can be misleading in it by the way,
and it can, yes, it can. But if you have
an unedited video that goes on and on and on
about and people just getting kicked and punch and against
one and it just goes on and on and on,
you can't How can you justify that?
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yeah, that's social media is showing us what happened. Yeah, yeah,
on that on this particular video, right, and we want
just had stumpers put in jail.
Speaker 5 (18:40):
We don't care what skin colors is.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
That's right. Yeah, we'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Okay, let me take a minute to talk to you
about the cover up on Blaze TV. If you haven't
seen it, let me feel you in. It's a hard
hitting docu series exposing how the federal government and public
health agencies have lied to you during COVID oh Man,
from the virus's origin to lockdowns, the vaccine narrative, and
(19:10):
how big tech helped them cover it it all, covered
it all up with health from big tech. This wasn't
public health. This was information warfare. Now, if you missed
the first episode of the Acclaim series, you can binge
them right now, and you want to because episode five
is releasing tomorrow and it's explosive, So get caught up.
(19:30):
It's called muck Raker, and it dives into the pandemic
industrial complex, showing how Fauci berks and the government bureaucrats
work with social media platforms to silence the truth. This
isn't just about censorship, it's about mind control. Watch the
first four episodes now before episode five drops at Fauci
(19:53):
cover up dot com slash Rick. Fauci cover up dot
com slash Rick, and get twenty dollars off your subscription.
That's Fauci cover up dot com slash Rick.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
The people who don't like this show, you wouldn't like anyway,
the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Yeah, don't worry about that. Okay, all right, So a
couple of things we're back text nation asking Hey, Burge,
if I'm in town, can I come to the studio
and just be in there with the guys for the
Wednesday Bible study. Yeah, yeah, if you're if you're a man,
that's men only. But yeah, if you want to come
into the studio on a Wednesday and be here for
(20:41):
the Wednesday Bible study in the studio, yeah, if you're
in town. Absolutely starts at noon Central time. So come on, hey, bird,
Hey Burge. I'm pretty sure that ten percent of four
hundred thousand is forty k Chief, You're right. The guy's
bell was four thousand dollars. Did I say four hundred thousand?
And it was four thousand? It was four thousand, so
ten percent that is four hundred. So I don't know.
(21:03):
Did I say four hundred that I didn't. I didn't
care thought I said I was. I told you, buddy,
I was reading four thousand. I saw it on the story.
Now I did not say that. Maybe I didn't, but
but anyway, that's why I said four hundred. Hey, hey
told you, But thank you for correcting me, Chief, But
but four thousand dollars it was the bond. If I
didn't say that thank you, chief correct him.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
Speaking of correcting fellow chief, there's a comment that says,
why is it that Adler is always correcting Rick?
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Or is he supposed to for legal purposes?
Speaker 11 (21:33):
L O L.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
I guess that was that comment as the whigs.
Speaker 5 (21:36):
Yeah, oh, was it the wigs?
Speaker 2 (21:38):
It was the whigs. I thought it was as we.
Speaker 6 (21:39):
Were going to break CAUs like, we want head stompers
to go to jail, and it doesn't matter what skin color.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
And so I wasn't no yeh. When I said the
thing about the wigs, you went Rick, oh, And I said,
and I said, what, Okay, we say Rick a lot.
We also say gregor, yeah, you need to calm down. Yeah,
but the guy was pretty savvy. Yes, that is this job,
to make sure that we're not saying thank you gets
in trouble.
Speaker 5 (22:02):
That's not much.
Speaker 6 (22:06):
What I've learned is just put the word allegedly after
everything that you say and you'll evidently you'll be fine.
Speaker 7 (22:12):
Although we had said that, it's it's you want to
repeat it because people hear what they want to hear,
and so you all think, oh no, that's not what
we're saying. Absolutely, and you did say it correctly everybody
on text nations.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Everybody text Nation said, I said four thousand, that's four hundred, Chief, Greg,
Greg Chief was on me. Chief wanted to correct me.
Speaker 8 (22:32):
And that's what.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
Look, let me tell you something. I need to be
corrected because I will say things wrong. You were standing
on your own property, and the chief came over and pushed, yeah, okay,
thank you Chief. All right, So I know we want
to talk about other things today, okay, And but I
was this thing with with aging rock stars and musicians
(22:54):
and things. Okay, it's almost like some of these legends,
I think we have a tendency that we can't let
them go right, and we can't face the fact that
they're aging like they are. And but again, we need
to love them a little bit. Now today Greg is
already corrected speedy in me because there's some story that
I was just story all. I was reading the headline.
Speaker 7 (23:15):
Yeah, and I'm actually embarrassed that I actually know right right, Well,
I read the headline about another lead singer dying, and
Greg's like, wait a minute, that didn't make any sense
because so and so and you were trying to make
sense of it. And then after we looked into the story,
Rick they say lead singer, but he was.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
He never even never worded a record. He was the original.
It'd be like if you had a high school band
and your first singer and then your he was in
your band originally when nobody cared, and then you became
famous and they referred back to him as the original.
So it's really not what we're talking about is Iron
Maiden that we haven't told me. I always talked about one. Yeah,
and Iron Maiden. It says legend, Iron Maiden, legend. Paul
(23:55):
Mario Day dies and uh and and Greg was back
and said, look, Bruce Dickinson is the one that we
know the most. And I'll even give Paul Deano who
died this year. Also, he was on like the first
couple of records, or maybe just the first anyway, So
when y'all start on taste, going on Greg, he was
this is a different person. His name is also Paul,
(24:17):
but it's a different So he never was on any
recorded material. He never recorded one album with nothing, and
was only their front singer when they were a bar
band pretty much. And we're acting like this is a
big story today. I mean, this is Bruce Diginson's dead.
I don't understand why this is what. I don't understand
what what what this is about? And I guess I
(24:38):
don't understand that five foot waves are a big deal.
Speaker 12 (24:41):
Uh, well.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
It does.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
It doesn't seem that big where they're warning us about
this earthquake in Russia and now Hawaii is being warned
because they've had five foot waves.
Speaker 7 (24:52):
Well, I mean it's already hit it's already hit them,
and now they're worried about the West coast. But five
feet right, And I guess it depends on where you are.
You know, if if if five foot waves coming out taller.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Than that, I get that, thank you, thank you. I
think it was you know.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
The tsunami warnings are getting crazy on social media because
people understand that they can say that people They can
say like.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
Elas is going to be decibated, follow me, follow me warning.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
If span was on right now, he'd be like what
would he be having to say right now? Serious? Every
time all these people want clicks.
Speaker 6 (25:27):
And fall off, go to sleep thinking Alaska's going to
be gone, and I wake up in the morning and
nothing happened.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
Here's all the time, here's the headline that's gonna infuriate you.
Taller than the Hawaii waves. Okay, thank you. Millions of
Americans brace for tsunami with evacuated uh as six strongest
earthquake ever to hit the planet. The six remembers there's
five more that were more. Okay, so top ten is big.
(25:56):
It is, but it's not unprecedented because we got five
that were bigger.
Speaker 8 (25:59):
No.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
I I think the play is all the tsunami warnings
and everybody freaking out, but it's Addler, So so I'm
supposed to be scared of a wave that Adler's taller
than that. That is correct, thank you. And people are
doing like end of time, like they're talking about the
end of the time. Well, just like you and I yesterday,
I'm sixty, gregs fifty nine, and where we're living, you're
acting like the heat will kill you if you go outside.
(26:21):
And both of us worked out outside in the heat
of the day, uh you know, state hydrated and whatever
and got through it fine, and I get it. But
they act like you can't even walk out in it outside.
You're gonna mail this this new weather drama and temperature
drama and tsunami drama, and it's just it's really getting embarrassing.
I mean it. And the problem is I'm not saying
(26:43):
that you shouldn't pay attention to the heat. Well, but
what I'm saying is, though, just deal with it. We
always have. But well, right, it goes back to it
because I remember we talked about the heat last time,
and I saw in text nation. Hey, I work in
the YR and we got people coming and dehydrated. But
I bet if you went back to nineteen eighty three,
you have people coming in the hydrid too, Oh for sure. Yeah,
you know what, I bet, I bet every I bet
(27:04):
every time it's really hot there are some people that
won't you know, that don't don't know how to deal
with heat, or maybe they're more susceptible to heat. And
I bet, I bet you ever since we've had heat,
the dehydrated people during the heat times have come into
the mercery. I don't think it's unpresent, So I don't
This isn't any more extreme than it's always been, so
(27:25):
so that that's that's the point. You do need to
pay attention. But you always need to pay attention. You know,
you remember back when they those of you around the
country may not remember this, And I can remember hearing
the PA announcer just so loud, so clear at one time,
and they changed it and we had to change it.
We for a long time we would have a NASCAR
(27:46):
race in late July, early August and Alabama at Taladig, Alabama.
It would be a gillion degrees and I can still
hear it coming over the PA system. Ladies and gentlemen,
just a reminder, alcohol consumption actually does not hydrate you.
(28:08):
It actually dehydrates you. Please drink water, Please do, please do,
because you know NASCAR fans, I mean they're sitting there,
they're thinking, well, I'm knocking back twelve beers. I'm good,
I'm good, and the beer was actually doing the opposite.
And did we have people that had to be put
into the medical facility there? You better believe it. But
he related, guys, do you just hit different? Back then?
(28:30):
It was just it wasn't as blown up and you know,
not a big deal. It's what if men our age
can actually go out and be active in the heat
yesterday and be just fine. It's not end of time heat.
It's hot, it's uncomfortable. These phrases, all this stuff is
(28:53):
what Adler just said. James span has dealt with it,
and we all just need to calm down. We are
just a freaked out society. Everybody, calm down, remember all
of this. Just be level headed with all of it.
It's all about people trying to get you to follow
them on social media and get clicks. That's what it's
all about. Okay, And you're just gonna have to look
(29:15):
and go, Okay, five foot waves, Okay, I need to
be concerned about that if I'm in a certain area.
But this is not coming ashore to be the end
of California or the end of Hawaii. You know they
got through it fine.
Speaker 11 (29:26):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (29:26):
You know this.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's hot outside in a lot of parts of our country.
Speaker 9 (29:30):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
And so what if you if it gets one hundred
degrees and the humidity, like the humidity for us right now,
like if you walk outside with glasses on, if you
come from inside, you can't even see. Yeah, okay, I
mean your glasses completely get fogged up. And you know
what you do. You watch yourself and you make sure
you're drinking enough water. Uh, and you know, and and
and it's this is not Hey, We're all right, just
(29:53):
calm down. I mean, my goodness, Francis calm down.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
And talking about the clicking, the click thing. Fear is
a very strong emotion. You know, we can feel joy
and we're gonna go watch funny shows. We can feel
sadness or whatever, or love and watch dramas and things
like that. But fear is a very strong primal built
into our brain's emotion for survival. And a lot of
(30:17):
people get tricked and get you know, get kind of
their brain kind of gets hacked into paying much more
close attention to things that they really wouldn't otherwise, that
really don't even impact them at all.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
And on that note, everything at the Rick Burgess Show
Store can save you from anything. Yeah, if you're not
fully stocked on everything in our store, I don't know
what's going to run in the rain where I don't
know what's gonna happen. Shield you from running in the rain,
that's fact. One of our church's shirts is designed for
(30:52):
extreme heat. Yeah, and two of the hats are firs
tsunami waves that are five foot or larger, and it will.
Speaker 5 (30:59):
Protect you from man made climb the champ.
Speaker 7 (31:00):
When I was leaving the studio, I checked and COVID
and the vaccine.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
I'll checked one.
Speaker 7 (31:05):
I checked maps on the way home, just to see
what the fastest route would be, and it even gave
me a heap warning just for my maps.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
No, no, you did. Is the Rick Burgess show, the
man who was bold enough to point out that there
is no such thing as dog years. Dogs just don't
(31:32):
live as long as humans. Rick Birches.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
By the way, I was gonna include it in hay
Birds Today, are y'all? In the email the guy sent
for his ring was that thank called the ring camera? Yeah? Yeah,
caught him dealing with his dogs when his wife was
gone or her dogs. I did see that email. Did
you have you watched the second video? But no, I
was gonna play it. But he actually cusses pretty bad
(31:59):
at it. Oh, he gets really really mad. He tells
the dog is as clear as I've ever heard he
want to tell a dog how much you hate him?
And uh, but but I don't think we can play
it because, I mean, he drops a few bombs in that.
But it was a funny thing to watch. I had
the same speech to Millie when she ate the wiring
(32:19):
off of my garage door for the third time. He says,
at least actually come out and said, you're you sound
like a raven. Maniac exactly. You need to stop. And
I think Adler, you could relate to this too. Dealing
with Franklin. The guy says, I can't explain it. These
dogs don't do what they do until she leaves. When
my wife leaves, they like, I don't want to be gross.
(32:43):
They get sick in the floor and they never do
that while she's here. And apparently while he was they
want her back keeping them, they did it again. And
he's trying to clean up. And he's a guy who
has an easy gag reflects, and he's gonna I mean,
he's like, I mean, we could you on that. You
(33:09):
may not be on that.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
I don't think I saw that.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, I'll send it to you. But but his gag
reflex goes crazy, and I was thinking, well, maybe we'll
play it, but then all of a sudden, I thought
that may make people sick. True, And then b he
finally gets mad and has had enough for the dog
and lets the dog know it.
Speaker 5 (33:23):
I handled myself really well last night.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
I put, you know, put the kids to bed with Aaron,
and then uh doing all the you know, cleaning up
the house stuff.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
And then Ruby comes back out for the fourth or
fifth time, and I said, hey, I'm about to feed
the dogs. You want to come with me?
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Then we really really got to go back to bed.
Speaker 6 (33:41):
I feed the dogs, and Kevin's older, he eats slower
than Franklin. I'm standing in the garage talking to Ruby.
Franklin comes over. We're waiting for Kevin to finish eating.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
By the way, these are dogs, these are not other children.
Speaker 6 (33:54):
And Franklin PE's on Ruby's feet. Frank standing there, he's
like just chilling out with us. We're waiting for Kevin
to stop. So I didn't let Franklin straight out after eating.
He peas on Ruby's feet last.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
Night because because he's like just standing there.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
I'm talking to Ruby and I'm just.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Here at the whole going to bed thing, and now
makes it comp through the roof.
Speaker 5 (34:19):
I now have to wash her feet before going to
be standing there talking to her about something.
Speaker 11 (34:26):
Oh she.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
That's another story different what happens.
Speaker 5 (34:33):
I kept it together.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
I did really well. We could have played if I
had video of that moment.
Speaker 5 (34:38):
Did you could play?
Speaker 2 (34:41):
I bet you believe it. I heard this sound just
like I'm like.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Let's go.
Speaker 7 (34:50):
We've got one that ruins everything out of the three yes,
we've got one that he's got to be in the
middle of everything and and and he's just gonna have
to just bark and just dramatize everything and like you
ruin it, Leo.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
Just would you just chill it's Leo.
Speaker 7 (35:08):
Yes, you ain't got to bark. You ain't got to
run around and get all up in everybody's business.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
We're just hanging out.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
And yes, my wife for some reason won't turn a
ringer off, and so it makes noises. But every time
it makes a noise, somebody's not pulling up, you know
what about there's no reason to run to the door
and then get everybody else going.
Speaker 13 (35:27):
Everybody's like going, I need to bark, you know. I'm like,
at seven thirty, would you please turn your ringer off?
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Les onto something, Lego is on to something.
Speaker 13 (35:42):
If somebody wants an appointment, they're not gonna call it
eight o'clock.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Please turn that.
Speaker 14 (35:47):
Ringer off, right, Okay, So that's their doorbell that it's
the door they think, you know, the you know, they're smart,
the live three sixteen notifications or whatever, or so somebody's
at the house and they bleed, they you know, make
some noise that they think, Oh my gosh, I'm gonna
running the door.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Somebody just pulled up and new person. No it's not,
it's not. I'm now looking to see if i can
find a seat. Meal. I sent it to him. I
just sent it to him, all right, So it's the
the first ring video has there's nothing that's not really
worth looking at, but the second one is hilarious. Now
I'm gonna have to pot it down before he tells
the dog how he feels. But if y'all want to
(36:27):
watch him freak out for just a minute now, Now,
if you're easily made sick and you have a gag reflex,
you're gonna hear his gag reflex because okay, he likes
great great. Oh my gosh, I've been.
Speaker 5 (36:48):
In the ground.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
It looks like somebody's built oatmeal on a run. O.
Speaker 5 (36:53):
God, Oh it's awful. That's awful.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Look at the dog, just chilling. But I killed when
it happens, Well, there was something before. How much he
hate you? Emphasize how much you hate you. Look, he's
just making it. Gosh, I can't look at that say
I'm not God at the house. That's me. That's my responsibility.
Speaker 15 (37:18):
What about them?
Speaker 2 (37:21):
My next dog is going to be worth a teacup.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
The next dog.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
I'm gonna have to get.
Speaker 5 (37:27):
Another dog at some point in my life.
Speaker 6 (37:29):
This next song, this next dog I want if I
want the smallest dogs, do they have any mouth sized dogs?
Because that mouth sized dogs make mouth sized messes. Do
you think Franklin is as big as a barrel and he's.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Do you think there's any hope, any hope for any
any of you three? Because I'm free? Yeah? Is there
any hope y'all think y'all see a life that y'all
can pull off not having dogs?
Speaker 7 (37:56):
Yes, Terry and I we are in agreement that the three,
I say there, you've got a lot of years. Will
take Cuddy with him that these two. I think Jack
is probably about eleven years old, he's getting on up there,
and but Leo is only like seven or eight, So
we got some years left Innis, but we have sworn
(38:16):
them off after this.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
It's a good life. My situation is almost that way.
I don't They're just free roaming, so that makes it
a lot easier. But what about what about the whole
thing about your mail? You can't even get your mail? Well,
I had to go take him to the bed yesterday.
But how about that. But that's rare.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
It's rare.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
They're not the what except for military and stuff up. Now,
that's put that to a side. I can't greg that's
part of it. That's part of it. Yeah, but she's
gotten better at it. But I'm just saying my situation
is not that, like we go on vacation. Just I
just get somebody come by and feed them every now
and then while we're gone. A yard dog is it
is definitely easier? Oh yeah, house dog. I've only done that,
(38:57):
and it was a kind of a half house dog,
wasn't a full house dog. I can't and this to
each his own, God bless all of it. I just
that's not for me. Yeah, animals, dogs in the house.
I just can't do it.
Speaker 6 (39:10):
My dogs are gonna pass away right when my kids
are old enough to remember it, So that's gonna be great.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Right, Then we're gonna have to replace them.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Then we're gonna have to replace them.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
I know that's happening.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Please make a good decision on that. That's import it.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
What if I just dressed a mouse up like a dog,
just put a collar on a mouse.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
Yeah, or a Durbil or something. Try to try to
make a good decision on this next round.
Speaker 5 (39:39):
Do bulldogs have a lot of health problems?
Speaker 16 (39:41):
They do?
Speaker 5 (39:42):
What about their hips? Look like they're good though.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 17 (39:52):
Well jump shoot the show the boys reason for a reason.
Speaker 2 (40:08):

Speaker 2 (40:47):
However you're here, whether that be live or archive, we
shore are glad that you are here, and the gang's
all here, speedy, Greg and Adler as we start a
brand new hour. So this ongoing thing, and we covered
a little bit last week. I think I've established a
rule first of all this, we mentioned this, but I
want to finish this thought about aging rock stars. I
(41:10):
think this is a question we have to start asking
because one time there was a time you didn't think
you had to ask it, okay, And here's a perfect
example of it. So I was having lunch with the
Garnett and Dawson on Monday. Of course, Garnett has been
to every concert that has ever been. I mean he
he knows every every band. I mean, he's the kind
(41:34):
of guy that, like, you'll find out that on a
Thursday he went to some supper club and heard Firefall
you know, I mean from I mean from the seventies.
And You're like, how'd you even know that? I don't
even remember Firefall fan?
Speaker 8 (41:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (41:50):
Just And so he looks over at me. He goes,
is Sherry a James Taylor fan? Oh no, that's And
I said, uh yeah, I kinda okay. I said, let
me get this out of the way. Wheelchair are standing?
I mean, I think you have to ask you. I'm not.
I think I'm drawing the line. I'm not gonna go
watch somebody in a wheelchair are sitting. I feel bad
(42:15):
for them. I think I think if you can't stand
and be on be at the front of the stage
on the mic. If you if I'm coming to watch you, sit, okay,
in some sort of chair like they had oz. They
roll you out there in some way. What they did
Phil Collins who's now got hospice in and Wilson sitting down.
(42:38):
I'm not going to it's too sad, it's too bothersome.
I'm not if you're if you can't, what about a walker? No,
let me ask you this. You must be standing on
your own pimp cane. Okay, now that's cool, that's true.
The difference is okay, on my health, I'm just I
(43:00):
can't stand long enough singing. There's that. But then like
Dave Grohl and even Axul Rose broke their foot and
they did it temporarily. They even made him a throne
like the Game of Thrones, uh iron throne. But you
know what I'm saying, they're just down for the count
till they heal. I would have been disappointed. You rather
them just canceled the shows and come back to the speed.
(43:21):
But if they you admit that is different than my health.
It's so bad. Let me how bad it. Let me
t how bad it? Bothers me when when I took
mom and dad to see the Eagles the last time,
you know, the day got sealed. Timothy B. Schmitt had
hurt himself somehow. I think it was skiing or something.
And he's only on the base and only singing. I
can't tell you why. And I think, what's the other
(43:41):
we singe leve will love keep us, So he said, well,
I don't have to deal with a lot of songs.
I didn't like him sitting over with a leg propped
up bothered me the whole show. And I thought to myself,
my goodness, you can't even have Timothy B. Smith. Yeah,
he's aware because he different than my health is so
much different that I'm in a wheelchair, not because I'm
(44:02):
an injury. I just can't stand. I want to I
want to be enjoying. I want to be enjoying the show,
not feeling like I've stopped by to spend some time
with you at the at the assisted living place. Okay Collins,
exactly what that look? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (44:16):
And I did.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
And if you've got oxygen on and I got a
problem with that, Yeah, I can't do this. And plus,
first of all, i'm kind of out of the concert
world anyway. So I'm looking. I'm looking for a lot
of outs, but I do think there comes a time.
I don't know why we just won't let these people go,
but we won't, and I just we gotta. You know,
when the Paul McCartney thing came up, you know, and
(44:37):
I think I'm gonna end up at that show. I think,
and I seems to be. I saw eighty three and
I just said, I got to know, are we standing
getting around? And from what I've gathered, he still sings
most of the songs in the original key. He still
has that purity of his voice. His set list to me,
you know, I'd like to see a little less songs
(44:59):
I don't care about, but but he's got some, you know.
It's it's it's good stuff I'm getting. I'm getting Paul
McCartney in wings and I'm getting Beatles, and I'm getting
some of his solo stuff. I'm okay with that. But
but but I said, is it going to be sad?
And what I hear is know that that he actually
What did Garnett say about James Tawner. He says he
(45:19):
does not think he needs to be seated. He said
that he may be seated playing his guitar. Let me
give you I'm okay with experience. I've experienced with this
because me and Lisa loves James Tayler, so I've seen
him a lot. He has the full blown show with
the band and everybody and he's standing. Now this is
years ago. But then he also has what he calls
(45:41):
an evening with James Taylor where he sits on a
stool and he tells you stories about the songs where
they came from, which is cool. I'm okay with that,
but yeah, that's the okay with somebody choosing to see it.
Now they must play guitar.
Speaker 5 (45:54):
They must be choosing to sit down.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
I'm gonna sit down and play. As the drunk by
me screamed out last time I saw I remember that story.
You got so quiet. Yeah, And you know, because James
Taylor show, you can hear anything you by saying yeah,
I mean especially in the evening of James Yeah right
and great. One guy yelled out, uh, you know. He
tells the story that the sweet baby James wrote for
his nephew when he was a baby. This guy in
(46:20):
the audience, because.
Speaker 3 (46:20):
I went to school with him.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
I went to high school with him. Okay, and they
can hear it here yo, yeah, oh yeah. And James
even answer, really if you if you remember the original
James Telor story I told about poor and Ring, James
Taylor finally addressed, first of all, is not poor and
it's fir and ring, and it's in the set you can,
you can and you know nothing about music. But this
(46:49):
thing of going to see people that physically it's like
you're you're thinking, I could be the person that saw
them for the last time. That doesn't feel good to me,
and and and those tickets are pretty expensive. They still
that's I want to go to a show that doesn't
make me feel sad. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (47:05):
What if a person.
Speaker 6 (47:08):
Is pretending to choose to sit, but they're actually being
forced to sit, but they're pretending like they're choosing.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
That's smart if they need to sit, but they're not
like announcing it because of health reasons. But at times
they sit like it's they're just being convenient and blah
blah blah, that's smart. They better be sitting down to
tell me what was the the inspiration for this song?
They better not just be sitting and and and all
(47:35):
of a sudden they just start singing in a sitting
position and they don't explain to me what they're doing.
Speaker 6 (47:38):
And so much of it depends on what have they
done in the past, Like were they usually standing up
front and center rocking, you know, standing up and running
around the stage.
Speaker 5 (47:48):
And now all of a sudden they're in a chair.
Big change, big difference.
Speaker 2 (47:52):
That's a big change. Elton John He's been sitting in
his whole career. He can sit the piano.
Speaker 5 (47:56):
I'm fine with it, right right, So you know, it
depends on the style.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
Of city or when we pull the acoustics out and
we do a few of our hits acoustic, I'm okay
with that. You know. You know what I'm talking about.
You're talking about Phil Collins, because not only yeah ran Ozzie,
but yeah, but Phil, they rolled him out and he's frail.
Yeah talking about he was extremely frail. Well, I'm still
mad at Phil Collins for that City Stages incident. Still mad.
(48:23):
You don't remember what happened. Oh, he had a billion hits,
as we all know, and all of a sudden he
decides that we want to see him do count Basie
and he puts an orchestra together and we all think
we're going to see Phil Collins and he won't play
any of the songs. He's giving us a bunch of
show tune. Not sure it's big band stuff. You remember
that horror? No, I must have blocked it. It might
have been when he might maybe got his feelings hurt
(48:44):
because led Zeppelin said he wasn't a great drummer, and
he tried to show us by playing a bunch of
jazz type stuff and I didn't want to see that.
I'm still mad about that. People were screaming that idea.
People were screaming it out by the way, Yeah we want.
Speaker 11 (48:59):
To hear.
Speaker 2 (49:01):
Well, let's talk about these fans.
Speaker 7 (49:05):
If if these acts are aging most of the time,
the audience and the fan base is aging as well,
even though even though we don't think we.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Age, but we do.
Speaker 7 (49:15):
True, And so if they're still selling these these concert
venues out and they know going in, hey they're sitting down,
then I guess the fan base doesn't mind it.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
I would have rather, I'm assuming right to see what
they did to Ossie there at the end. And I
wouldn't am a huge Aussie fan as far as his music,
and certainly had nothing to do with black Sabbath because
I I wanted to actually be, you know, not be
afraid to stand in front of God.
Speaker 8 (49:39):
But I but I was.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
I would have I wish say, to put Gary up there.
I'd rather Gary walked out there and doesn't aussy something. Okay,
they don't get me wrong. It was terrible. It was bad.
But at least he was in a cool chair. They
didn't roll him out a scary chair. Gray. It was scary.
It was scary, did it well? Hell, demon Phil is
in one like you. When you're I know he can
(50:04):
get you. He made be my most glaring example. Yeah,
it's pretty very skin colors. It's just it's sad tonight
tonight doing Ozzie Osborne, Gary the bulldos are man. Hey,
times have change and times are strange. Here I come,
but Gwen I ain't the same in Gwennee whenne I'm coming.
(50:27):
It's really good. Yeah, that's great.
Speaker 6 (50:29):
Fan base is a great point, Speedy, Like, if you
are aging faster than your fan base, you're sitting down.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Your fan base is standing up.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
That's a hart.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
I mean, that can't happen.
Speaker 5 (50:40):
You gotta be you know, you got to be bringing it.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
If I'm in a chair. You can be in a chair.
But if I if I walk down those steps and
I parked, and I came through the parking lot, and
I can still do all that. I need you moving
around on the stage. Okay, I need you standing there.
Speaker 1 (50:56):

Matter of fact, I got two more pair because because
that was one thing that I was wanting on there,
Rick burgesshow dot com under sponsors use that link as well. Okay,
(52:53):
so a couple other things today. I was not familiar
with this story. You brought it out today listening to
you talk about it with Greg before the show started. Today.
Pastor and wife charged with one million dollar fraud. Because now,
(53:13):
always be careful with this. This Pastor wants us to
know before we overreact, and Greg before we judge, that
God told him to sell crypto to his flock and
spend it on vacations. On his vacation, yes, okay, God
(53:33):
told him to do that. Everybody needs to understand just
doing what God told you. Boy, I'm not familiar with
these two? Are you guys familiar with Eli Regalatto and
Caitlin Regalatto. Regulato and dited on forty counts of theft, securities, fraud,
(53:54):
and racketeering Denver's involved, So they must be based out
of Denver because it's their district attorney. They're from Denver.
And says that the Regulatto's solicited three point four million
from investors looking to buy their cryptocurrency, but only a
(54:15):
small amount of the proceeds went to the business venture.
The rest of it went to their vacations. They're calling
it a cryptocurrency scam. Now they keep in mind, this
is your pastor and his wife, don't well, rig miss that.
Speaker 7 (54:32):
God told him to do some things. Here is about
thirteen seconds of audio from the pastor.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
It is this Eli. Uh yeah, this is Eli talking about.
Speaker 8 (54:42):
The charges are that Caitlyn and I pocketed one point
three million dollars, and I just want to come out
and say that those charges are true. Out of that
one point three, half a million dollars went to the
irs and a few hundred thousand dollars went to a
homing model that the Lord told us to do.
Speaker 2 (54:55):
Home remod okay, so not just vacations. The Lord told
them to remodel their home, but to take the money
from the flow.
Speaker 12 (55:01):
Right.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
He told me not to do the garage, right, the
Lord told me to renovate the y'all the way.
Speaker 5 (55:08):
He so casually just said that.
Speaker 2 (55:11):
Which the Lord told me to do. Oh, okay, that's
only I don't know who's telling him to remodel his home.
But whatever voice this is, my wife keeps hearing it,
so I don't know. I don't think it's the Lord,
but anyway, so uh now, please please don't miss, because
(55:31):
I don't want us to get off the correct narrative.
Here he went to his own congregation. Now remember these
are the people that that are that are looking at
you as the shepherd, okay, and and putting a lot
of trust in you. They said the cryptocurrency that he
wanted his church to buy. Okay. Now think about first
of all, would anybody be a little suspect if included
(55:54):
into Sunday's message was an opportunity to buy cryptocurrency from
the pastor.
Speaker 1 (56:00):
A little bit.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
I don't even think a yellow flag. I think that's
a red one. Yeah, okay. Under under investigation from the
Denver District Attorney. They said the cryptocurrency he was selling
to the church was worthless. It wasn't even legit, It
had no vag uh and uh they said that. So
he took the one point three, but he wanted us
(56:21):
to know. Now the one point three we don't need
to be too judgmental. A half a mina that one
to the to.
Speaker 11 (56:26):
The I R S.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
Yeah, that you took. That you took. Yeah, it's not
who ended up. Everybody who gets income gives their taxes
to the government. Okay, yeah.
Speaker 12 (56:34):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (56:34):
Anyway, so he says, when they looked into it remodeling
the house, well, Lord told, Lord told him to do that.
One also also airline tickets, motel rooms, and high end
retail merchandise, among other personal expenses. Well Lord told them.
By the Lord told them to go on vacation to
remodel the house and go buy some cool stuff at Target. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
Okay, so Lord said it was all Gucci.
Speaker 2 (56:58):
Yeah, okay. Every single investor lost every dime. Okay, let
me give everybody just a little bit of a heads up.
It's not likely that a legitimate anointed by the Holy Spirit, uh,
person preaching in the pulpit and leading your church. Most
of those that are under the authority of the one
(57:18):
and only, one and only Living God. They're never going
to ask you to invest in a new crypto currency
they come up with. Probably not. I just don't think
so that's a flag.
Speaker 11 (57:26):
Rick.
Speaker 2 (57:26):
The Lord's told them about some home renovations place up
a little bit. Well, the Lord may tell you to
renovate your home, but he's not going to tell you
to go sell, you know, fake cryptocurrency to finance it.
Everything's outdated. Remember remember this, this is always something to
look look for. And I've said, look, I've experienced it
myself in some counseling sessions. Always look for. You can
(57:50):
always find a problem. If someone says, the Lord has
called me to blank, and in order to answer that call,
you had to commit sin, that's usually not from the Lord.
The Lord will never say, if you want to get
in my will, you got a first all the first
thing you gotta do to be in my wheels commit
some sort of sin you have. The Lord rarely uses
(58:11):
fraud to uh get his going wow, And a lot
of celebrities and things like that are getting caught up
in these pump and dump schemes.
Speaker 6 (58:20):
That's when you pump up the value of this cryptocurrency
as people buy in, then you cash out and the
whole thing dump.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
So they pump it up and then they dump it,
pump it and dumb it. Yep, Text Nation, where are
we own in Prable Montgomery? You're on the road. That's
I ninety two.
Speaker 1 (58:35):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the show that is
willing to search for the answer to why anyone would
drive slow in the left lane, The Rick Burger's Show.
Speaker 2 (58:53):
It's one of the lives unsolved mysteries. We're still trying
to get to the bottom of it, all right, So
covering the stories of today and we'll get to unscreen
phone calls today. Of course, got an interesting hey, birds,
one thing that's gonna launch speedy. He will literally leave
the launching path. And I can't wait. I can't wait
(59:16):
to read it. I can't wait to watch you as
I read it. And I guess it has to do
with you speaking on August the tenth. Good Night, Here
he goes again. Look it's right there, it's right hey, everybody,
we know where Rick speaking. We got it actually working
with the church. I just cannot wait to read this
(59:37):
email Okay, because I've watched how much is bothering speedy? Okay,
all right, so let's but let's wait. That's still to come.
That's still bothered to go. Look, we already have that,
it's still it's still to come. Like we know there's
a tsunami. You ain't gotta tell us, right And by
the way, it looks like the waves my bee size
five feet? So do y'all consider John Grugan to be
(59:59):
a discretion Gruden? Gruden? What I say, Grugen? Did I
say that? Yeah? John Gruden? Do y'all consider him? Use
the word disgraced X Raiders coach?
Speaker 13 (01:00:10):
No, it was.
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Homophobic racist? Is the emails?
Speaker 12 (01:00:15):
Right?
Speaker 9 (01:00:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:00:16):
Would you say, but does anybody when you bring up
John Gruden? Yeah? Man, No, I ain't had to do him.
He's disgraced. I think they tried to spill it like that. No,
here's the here's the headline. Of course, you know it's clickbait. Disgraced. Yeah.
X Raiders head coach John Gruden reveals comeback plans four
years after racist emails scandal. I can't exactly remember what
(01:00:40):
he did.
Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
But the emails were from twenty eleven. It was so
he got busted in twenty twenty one. Oh really, yes,
the emails were from twenty eleven.
Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
Do you remember when that big scare went out to
Adler's Point where people were going back finding things that you, yeah,
that you commented on a decade ago, fifteen years ago,
twenty years that timing thing, if it happened. Now, yes,
he goes up down. So the former Buccaneers and Raiders
coach stepped away from the sport in twenty twenty one
(01:01:11):
after he was shown to have used racist and homophobic
language and leaked emails. So ten years early. Yep, so
he did venture down a new career path. You remember
that in November he signed a multi year contract with
Barstool Sports. But it seems, according to the Detroit Free Press,
(01:01:33):
that Gruden says, hopefully I'm not done. I'm about to
make a comeback in coaching. Now here's here's the interesting part.
Level he said, well, listen to this quote.
Speaker 16 (01:01:45):
I like this.
Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
I'm working hard to maybe get one more shot. But
hopefully some of these guys that fell off my branch,
if you can say it that way, maybe they can
hire me. Because I'm looking for a job. I don't
care if I end up coaching at Jones Junior High.
I'm going to coach again. I'm still coaching. I'm just
not on a team officially. But I do have some
(01:02:09):
private assignments I work on and I wear some gear
when I'm watching the games that nobody knows about, and
they don't even know who I might be pulling for
because behind the scenes, I'm working for them. So he
is doing some of that, and he is a valuable source.
But I'm kind of like in Adler's world. Here we
go back and we pull leaked emails from all the
(01:02:31):
way back in twenty eleven. We pull these in twenty
twenty one. We get rid of him, even though we
can't quite document anything in the way he's coaching, anything
in the way he's living that would indicate to us
that he's homophobic or racist. We don't see him living
that out at all. But we found some leaked emails
(01:02:54):
from a decade earlier in his life that we didn't
like some of the language he used, so we destroyed
his career, even though he wasn't really doing anything action
wise that would have made us think that he had
I want to tell you this, when it comes to
someone coaching as long as Gruden has and coaching as
(01:03:15):
many teams as he has, and understanding the dynamic from
an ethnic standpoint of most football players. I think labeling
any coach that's coached a long period of time as
a racist is a tough one. It's going to be
tough to make that land. If there's anything that has
(01:03:36):
cured bigotry, and it was even used in the Deep South,
one of the most effective tools we had was football.
On the athletic field, You'd be surprised how a lot
of that stuff is completely goes away. Yeah, because you
realize we are the same. Yeah, when it comes to this,
And I could say that even in my own experiences.
So anyway, he says that he wants to coach. I
(01:03:59):
think when you're a coach, you always want to coach.
And he said, if I end up coaching at some
junior high school, that'd be fine with me. So he
has been This is interesting. Gruden was initially inducted into
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Ring of Honor based on his
many accomplishments during his seven seasons as a head coach
(01:04:21):
Super Bowl, and he remains a significant figure in the
history of our franchise. Upon further reflection, the Buccaneers have
decided to reinstate him into the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.
I think so they had removed him, Yes they had,
Oh wow, and that was back during that time where
we were just wiping everybody out. Oh yes, yes, he's canceled.
(01:04:42):
He's sixty one years old and he was putting the
Ring of Honor in twenty seventeen. In twenty twenty one
he was taken out, but now has been put back.
So there we go. So I think if anyone would
like a good football coach that seems to have lived
(01:05:05):
his life without anything other than some leaked emails and
some language used, you know, back in twenty eleven, I
don't think we really need to fear him as a
dangerous racist out there. And he may not be in
agreement with you know, homosexuality or well, I don't know.
(01:05:26):
I mean, I don't know what his statements are. I
don't think it'll impact I don't think it'll impact his coaching.
I don't think he'll make comments about it anymore. And
I don't think have you heard one player come forward
and say when Gruden coached me, I thought he really
really came across to me as a big or racist.
I don't think anybody no.
Speaker 7 (01:05:47):
And I went back and looked when he was with
the Raiders and then he resigned because of the emails
that came out and he was emailing with the Washington
I guess president at the time of the Washington football
team commanders and others during the seven year period. And
then some emails were leaked to the New York Times
and they broke it. And one of the biggest ones
(01:06:10):
was when Jeff Fisher was the head coach with the
Rams and they he felt like he was being I
guess pressured to draft Michael Sam Yes, you know, openly
gay player in the draft in twenty fourteen. And then
and then Gruden claimed he was kind of a smear
campaign where they were going after him and trying to
(01:06:30):
find emails whatever, and then it kind of escalated from there.
Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
He ended up resigning and everything, and.
Speaker 7 (01:06:35):
So that I had to go back and kind of
refresh my memory because I couldn't remember what all the
emails were about, but they claimed, you know, some of
them included some racist comments and homophobic comments.
Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
Remember when they say racist, because I'm looking at some
of here this their version what he was really doing
looking at this story I'm reading at the end of
like trying to find more. He was critical of players
kneeling during the national anthem. Right, that was he didn't
get on board with that. He actually thought that he
has right and I think some of that was deemed
racist because he just disagreed with that. So so again
(01:07:11):
that that's a bit of a stretch on making someone
a bigot because they disagreed with that. He called and
the and the Michael sam thing is why he got
pulled on the being coming called homophobic because God forbid,
he thought the pressure by the NFL to do that
was and warrant. He was standing up for Jeff Fisher,
going they shouldn't be pressuring him to draft him. So
(01:07:33):
keep in mind, his entire career was destroyed because he
disagreed with the players kneeling, and he thought that coaches
should not be pressured to draft a player just because
he's gay.
Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
He also called Roger Goodell a well rhymes with maggot well.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
And and see that right there, we'll get you in trouble. Yeah,
you know you, like we said many times, you can
get away with offending a lot of people, not the
person who's in charge of your job. Yeah, now that
person you got to watch. Yeah, yeah, he never intended
good all to say that he did not. I had
(01:08:14):
a friend of mine that unfortunately, when he had a
little comment about the boss, hit reply, and unfortunately the
boss was in that reply. Yeah, that's right. That's never good.
Speaker 8 (01:08:24):
No, you know it is.
Speaker 7 (01:08:27):
He looked back at what he's doing, like now with barstool,
and he's opening up all these boxes coming from these
colleges and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Remember that the fire fired Coaches Association or whatever. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:08:38):
Yeah, And he was just at the manning camp and
all this kind of stuff. You would think that if
he was, if people really saw him as a racist
Rick to your point, people in his life and that
he's coached and and coaching staffs and all these these colleges,
would they be sending him all this stuff and inviting
me in these camps to help as a consultant.
Speaker 2 (01:08:56):
Well that's the reason why I said, it just seems
like something's missing there. That's where's when I saw the
headline disgraced. I don't see in modern time anybody treating
him like he's a disgraced, right, But to your point.
That's another you know, you know he's pretty much people
like him. Is that quarterback thing he does? Everybody seems
to like that. Yeah, you know, so we'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the only show hosted
by an Oxford graduate, Well Oxford High School. The Rick
(01:09:40):
Burgess Show.
Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
Yo, big old, here we go. Thanks for being with
us today. Much to do and likes to cover.
Speaker 3 (01:09:57):
A bird a birge.
Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
H these are e If you put in the title
hey bird, hey birge, you mean that you're throwing it
out there for potential to be read on the show. Greg,
will you move your chair closer to speedy he may
need you. I'm glad you're ready to put on your counseling.
(01:10:19):
You're a good voice. Yeah, hey bird, hey bird, Hey Rick.
I'm a little confused on the man Church on August tenth.
Speaker 16 (01:10:28):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
I heard last week. I'll talk about it, but must
have missed something.
Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
Is it for sure?
Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
At sand Mountain Park? How you get tickets? I haven't
been able to find the link or anything. Thanks for
all you do. Hope you have a blessed day. What Gregor,
we're just watching them there we got the info wrong. No,
it's just it's just been a bit of an evolving
thing and not really but but first of all, really,
(01:10:55):
first of all, I want to just say this to
Terry Lord Willing. I will be now this is this
is where I want to be sure. It is Gunnersville
Methodist Church that's doing it, right, but they have moved
it to Albertville, right at sand Mountain Park. Right. I
(01:11:16):
think it's a free event. I don't think you need
a ticket, that's right. The event will be held there
at the at the park, right, you just you just come.
The event is free.
Speaker 7 (01:11:24):
Now they'll have food trucks there, so if you want
to eat, you can purchase something from the food trucks
and they'll start that at you know, about five pm
that day. But sure you can purchase a meal before
the event if you want. But the confusion is it's
not going to be held at the church and they
did that out of concerns that maybe there'll be too
many people there, and so in an effort to have
it more as a community event, they moved it to
(01:11:47):
sand Mountain Park there in Albertville to kind of have
a bigger venue.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
Okay, so so really all you have sponsoring it, but
it's there. All you have to do, Terry is it
starts at six o'clock local time, Harry dock Hey, Terry
Dactyl and others. All you have to do is be
at sand Mountain Park in Albertville. That's right at six
pm where they're having it, which I think is the gymnasy. Yeah,
that's what that's what okay, Mark said with the church. Okay,
(01:12:15):
and then if you need like if you get it,
still would like to talk to a person, just call
the church, which that in that link in their website
is all.
Speaker 7 (01:12:23):
It can get confusing, but their contact is is the church,
but the venue is not at the church.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
Remember I warned you when night you said you wanted
to get a little more involved in men's ministry. I
warned you that men's ministry is different. It is unlike
anything else.
Speaker 7 (01:12:37):
Most runs smooth, but there are some right and really
church's fault, it's the audience not listening right.
Speaker 2 (01:12:43):
Well, you know I can see in men's ministry, because
I've been doing a long time that if you're if
you're called gunners Wille Methodists and you've moved the event
to Albertville, that they can melt down over stuff like that, right, okay,
but it's not all that complicated. It's just be there
at six.
Speaker 7 (01:13:03):
But don't you dare say, but do not dare say
sand Mountain Park and Amphitheater in Gunnersville. Do not say that,
because it's not in guns and you will be called
on that because that is technically true. Of course, they're
real close, you can get it can get confusing, very
close going on, and they're really looking forward to it, really.
Speaker 2 (01:13:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:13:23):
Coming off you'll have vacation week and that Saturday evening sure.
Uh And and look can I say this too, Rick
while you're promoting things and and then we'll just move
on here. But Greg and I are honored to be
part of Rainbow Omega's event coming up on Friday, August
the eighth, uh. And that's going to be at at
(01:13:44):
the Finnic which is in Birmingham. And anyway, long story short,
we're honored to be a part of of their event
again again writers in a Round where that Nashville.
Speaker 2 (01:13:55):
To Bumbah perform their songs and stories behind them. And
it went really good, really did it really did.
Speaker 7 (01:14:01):
And we're looking forward to that. And there's only to
be honest with you. Uh, there's only a few. Uh,
I think maybe one table left open. Rainbow Omega dot
org is the website Nashville to Birmingham. Uh, stories behind
the songs and we'll uh we're honored to be party
of Uh. Is that under a MCS or anything. No,
we did not put it because we're on vacation this
the entire week.
Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
So people could have gone there and got information. What
that's I'm giving it to them, I know, but boy,
but easy, just say go to the website. We went
toured Rainbow Mega and wow, what a great job. And
we went to the facility. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's really nice.
I know what you're doing. I know, I know what
you're doing.
Speaker 7 (01:14:37):
I know what you're doing. And you're not gonna get
check it out and a lot of you've already gotten
tickets and we did it. Last was really fun.
Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Yeah, hey bird, hey Burge.
Speaker 18 (01:14:48):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
I listened on the podcast I'm Late. When I was
three years old. My grandmother's I called her Nana Black
lab bit my right ear off off. It was dangling
on the side of my head. Oh boy, I don't
remember at all. My cousin says, I tried to ride
the dog like a horse. She obviously wasn't having any
of that. The doctor Jackson Hospital at Montgomery sold my
(01:15:10):
earback on. You can't tell anything happened by looking at me.
I'm forty now, So this is a story. This family
is over right here, he said. All you can see
is a stitch by my left ear if you look.
I thought i'd like to share that with you. And
you know, back in those I'm sure they kept the dog,
just went on about their business. Ide how about this,
how about this, I'd kind of like to see this
(01:15:30):
guy's ear. I know I want to see it, and
they just sewed it back on it. It's working, and
everything's fine. Even better, you have no recollection of your
ear being nearly been off, but it's been a story
of your family's. I think even though I was three,
I gotta be so traumatic. I think I remember. Yeah,
hey bird, hey burge, this is Paul from Illinois. Everybody
(01:15:51):
braced yourself for this one, speedy. Probably you probably have
tried to get video of it. A few years back,
my wife and I did a purge before moving into
a new house. We have a junk man in town
who's referred to as tiny and and he'll tell you
to call him and uh and and call him that
he has no problem with it. Didn't know what to expect.
(01:16:11):
We had a commercial grade treadmill. It was huge, that
had played out and it needed to go well. We
called the junk man. He showed up and and we
moved stuff out. We got out there, the big old
treadmills out there, and he's talking about when the old
with I'm talking about him talk about a heavy one.
When we got outside, he grabbed the thing by the
cord and just slung it into the back of his trailer,
(01:16:32):
dragging it like a deer. He was going to harvest.
Listen to this, Please don't miss there's a reason that
he was called tiny. He was a little person, strong
little person. He said. I was stunned. You know that
treadmill was way bigger than him. Yeah, and and said said,
(01:16:55):
I I started, I started, I'm gonna stop calling him tiny.
I I think he is the strongest junk yard dog
I've ever seen. He was old man strong, he goes,
but I couldn't. You can't really call this old man strong.
He wasn't that old old. So I begin to call
it midget. Might it's a real thing. I've never seen
a person so small so strong on the side. That's
(01:17:16):
what he's thinking. He's asking you, do you think he
was arrest Think he was because you remember a little
Papa Pump who do we talk to that knew him,
that said he worked construction work with him when he
wasn't wrestling. So I want you to picture this though.
You're there, You've called the junk man, you've got the
stuff in the yard. You notice that the person wants
to be called tiny, and you think that means he's
real big. And what would you do when the junk
(01:17:39):
truck drove up and all of a sudden the door
kicks open, Tiny mighty Mitt gets out and starts slinging
stuff in the back of the truck and dragging that
old trip mill like it was a deer. And imagine
him trying to get back in the truck. Yeah, and no, Greg,
I wish we could have been there. I know what
you would have done. Speaking Oh huh, Yeah, those old
(01:18:00):
treadmills are very heavy. They're very very heavy, very heavy.
Speaking of treadmills, do you see the price is right?
Real that it was? It's a classic.
Speaker 7 (01:18:09):
The lady finally makes it up in a wheelchair to
the stage and up for grabs is a treadmill that they.
Speaker 2 (01:18:17):
Have you ever know.
Speaker 1 (01:18:21):

phone calls. It's coming up to this album. We'll continue

(01:19:15):
we're roll into another album. Also Wednesday, Bible study back
today noon Central, one o'clock Eastern on the Rick Bird.
Just show YouTube channel if you miss it. The archive

you have this story add or you have the video.
(01:19:38):
Oh boy, we are talking about video four. Video four.
Video four. Let me read you the very provocative headline.
Mysterious ring camera footage sparks alien speculation, aliens. We're not
talking about across the border. We're talking about from another world,
(01:20:00):
another world, from another world. Look, many times, many times
your ring camera may show you footage of someone who's
in our country's country illegally. Oh, we're not talking about
it could happen. Let's be and look and we're thankful,
uh for these ring cameras. But has this footage shown
(01:20:21):
us something from another world?
Speaker 16 (01:20:25):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:20:26):
Well, we'll see. Here is the story courtesy of NBC four.
Speaker 18 (01:20:29):
You would eleven plenty of paranormal questions after a mysterious
figure was spotted near a home in Coomptent. Take a
look at this look at the right corner of your screen.
Ring video from Jessica, where te's's home camera caught someone
or something walking by her home. She said this happened
around one am on June fifth. Jessica said her two
(01:20:51):
other cameras didn't catch anything and her neighbors didn't notice
anything either. Paranormal investigator Zach Baggans also lead in on
the footage.
Speaker 19 (01:21:01):
I was sitting in my syndrome with my son and
we were staring at each other, like what do we do?
We didn't even know what to do, Like I'm not
going to call the police, I'm not going to go outside.
I guess I'm gonna have to live with the doubt
because I'm not I'm not king.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
I wouldn't see there's anything to worry about. But I
cannot conclude that this is a hoax after seeing that footage.
That's for sure, Jessica said.
Speaker 18 (01:21:22):
Some people think it's a child, a mariachi, or even
a large cockatoo. UFO and chemtrail expert Mick West believes
that someone playing a prank, saying it doesn't look like
a being walking in the lower half is transparent with
no legs. Stay with us, we'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
What who are they, Phil Collins? Who are these experts? Right,
parmal expert. Great, we didn't get just a paranormal expert.
We got a UFO expert as well. And I'm not
a guy who's an expert on gim trails. He just
talked generally. He never said anything that yes, well, I
(01:22:04):
can't confirm and deny. You know, let's go let's go
to Zich. That there, Let's go to Zach.
Speaker 6 (01:22:10):
Let's go to Zach who's for some reason wearing sunglasses
and a hat inside at night.
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
Yeah, good old flat beil.
Speaker 5 (01:22:15):
You know how Zach Baggins.
Speaker 2 (01:22:17):
Yes, some of these night camera, infrared camera whatever, you know.
Sometimes it can be a little off and blurry. It
could be just a person that looks kind of like
a smudge. Yeah, like a glare or something on the
other side of the shot or something. Yeah, mm hmmm,
up alien, I know, she said. Her son told her
(01:22:38):
to call the police. She said, I'm not calling the
police on an alien. I'd sound crazy. Think about it, well,
I mean it was weird. Look I saw I saw
an alien. Think about that. But here's the other thing,
isn't it. You know, we've had these sketches of whatever.
(01:23:00):
This is that thing where we've already established what we
think one should look like, So now we begin to
look for something that looks like that. I just think
some of that's in play, I think so. I think so.
Speaker 7 (01:23:09):
Are you're saying that Zach the paranormal expert does a
show called Ghost Adventures.
Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
So the youth, well, then he must be an expert.
Did you Yeah, Do you think this is a prank
or do you think it just looks like something it's not.
I think it's some kind of smudge it is it
is like a.
Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
Car driving by on the other side or something.
Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
Because there's no form to it. It's no, it's like
it just comes out of nowhere. It's like that is weird.
Speaker 8 (01:23:36):
Watch it.
Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
Watch it come past their car. It changes the way
it looks when it comes past to the car.
Speaker 5 (01:23:41):
Yeah you see that.
Speaker 2 (01:23:42):
Yeah, Cardrobe is a ball man. Look like Gary.
Speaker 5 (01:23:48):
It could be Gary, could be Gary.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
Hey, let me tell you something. Lights hanging down. It
looks like a bunch of gypsies live there. So that's
what he said. I think I saw something not before
last Oh, here we go, so here we go? Where?
Speaker 16 (01:24:02):
Well?
Speaker 7 (01:24:03):
I went out because you know, I declared about two
years ago, I don't look up enough at night. Yeah,
so when I can, I'll go up and I'll look
up and see some if I can find a plane
or two flying by, and I'll look up. About the
time I looked up, y'all, I saw a shooting star
that was so bright it had like a vapor behind.
Speaker 2 (01:24:20):
It of like oh the comment it was it was huge.
It was huge and so bright, and I might have
been a Transformer, you know what Transformers the movie. By
the way, we're not your grandkid, okay, because I know
you're saying it might have been Optimist Prime. Yeah did
(01:24:42):
you did it? Really? Honestly? Take you back a little bit.
You know it did, I haven't. Uncontrollably, I was by
myself and went, oh man, that's cool really when you
and then I looked around.
Speaker 7 (01:24:52):
I was by myself and I was like, where is
it that gummet? I can't go in Terry's inside. She
couldn't care less.
Speaker 2 (01:24:57):
No, it's gone. I'm like, you're not gonna believe what
I saw?
Speaker 9 (01:24:59):
What you know?
Speaker 5 (01:25:01):
That's really cool.
Speaker 2 (01:25:02):
We've all seen shooting stars. This one was special.
Speaker 3 (01:25:05):
It was I haven't so.
Speaker 6 (01:25:07):
Seen maybe one and it's like a little thing and
nothing really impressive. The guy, are you serious?
Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
I'm talking about so broad?
Speaker 5 (01:25:17):
Did you video it?
Speaker 8 (01:25:18):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
I was just going out there to, you know, just
like look up and and find a plain. Why do
you think you would video it? How would you didn't know?
Speaker 1 (01:25:25):
Why do you video it?
Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
I would have to have a GoPro on my forehead.
I guess, well then you should. Yeah, but do you
think it? Saw your head and said, man, I saw
something last night, layer off of that shooting star comet. Yeah, whatever,
it's not a comment.
Speaker 5 (01:25:41):
It's not a shooting star.
Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
That's a comic. Chief.
Speaker 5 (01:25:43):
It's not a comment, chief, but text it's actually a meteor.
Speaker 2 (01:25:47):
Yeah, okay, that's when com in the area we would
be talking about when they're comments one of those things
they say, watch out here it comes and people you know,
joined colts and kill themselves and all that.
Speaker 7 (01:25:57):
And I get the media or the commet I call
everything a shooting star, and I'm sorry I do. Yeah,
I probably a mislabeling it. But it's just it was
a bright meteor.
Speaker 2 (01:26:07):
It was a meteor. It was a meteor. It was
a meteor. Yeah, if it was a comment, it would
have stayed. You could have, right, I had a long look.
Speaker 5 (01:26:14):
Yeah, we talked about it. People kill themselves in celebration
of it. That's what a comment is.
Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
How long did you see it? Uh, it's just it
was like drinking. That's a long one. Yeah. I mean
it's like because usually it's like because I look up
and I'm like wow.
Speaker 7 (01:26:29):
Every now and then there's a lot of planes out
and if I can hit catching three planes, I can
go back inside.
Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
You know, I'll like look around. I'm like, that's the
kind of thing. So this time you said out loud
to no one, Yeah, you made a vocal wow, look
at that. Yeah. I look up. I'm like I'm sitting
there and it's like man, let me follow there's a plane.
I was, oh, man, cool, you did that right there? Yeah,
just for yourself out loud.
Speaker 5 (01:26:54):
What color was?
Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
It was uncontrollable. You're always worry about color. That's not it.
It was kind of a white with the yellowish vapor
behind them.
Speaker 5 (01:27:04):
Oh look, look, look, because as that tells you what
it was made out of.
Speaker 7 (01:27:07):
Which one of those did you see? It was either uh,
nitrogen or sodium. I think it was sodium.
Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
Nice.
Speaker 6 (01:27:15):
If it's like yellow, it's iron. If it's purple, it's calcium.
If it's bluish, it's magnesium.
Speaker 5 (01:27:20):
So you saw sodium fire, so.
Speaker 7 (01:27:23):
So you say, But anyway, it was kind of neat.
I encourage all of you to look up more y'all,
and you got the perfect property. You could go out back.
Speaker 2 (01:27:32):
Buddy said there was a meteor shower last night, so
that's what it was, not before last.
Speaker 5 (01:27:37):
But yeah, this is one of the best ones ever
in Australia went crazy when.
Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
You see mine was fast. Mine was like.
Speaker 5 (01:27:48):
It was either a meteor or predator coming down to what.
Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
I think, or a transformer like you said, I think
optimist or somebody said it was Did you see this? Yeah?
Did see that said. It's a small piece of uramus
just came off, just a little allegendly allegedly.
Speaker 1 (01:28:09):

Speaker 7 (01:31:19):
Do you remember a couple of weeks ago we told
people they need to be more creative on how they
worked that in.
Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
Yeah, and I think that's what they're trying to the
best one was that that lady Yester. Oh yeah, he's
reverencing a story from last hour. But it's interesting. I'm
come to the conclusion. I don't think he had any
interest in the story. I think it was nothing but
the launching pad for we continue, Rick Burgers Show, unscreen
phone calls go.
Speaker 15 (01:31:43):
Hey, yeah, I listened.
Speaker 16 (01:31:44):

Uh.
Speaker 16 (01:31:48):
They were asking Greg last week about where they'd rather
have lunch with the number three or David Pearson. Yes,
I had just got out of college, leaved to Actiononville, Alabama,
nineteen eighty six, and uh, we'll sitt the Uh. It
was a chop house restaurant right up there in Anniston,
(01:32:12):
in front of the old Kmart. Walked in there one
night and uh lo and behold, I'll go to the bathroom.
Come back to a double take. Sitting at the table
Earn Hart, tell Yarborough, Darryl Waldrop, an awesome bill from Dawsonville.
Speaker 2 (01:32:28):

Speaker 12 (01:32:31):

look you saw all them back. There was a day
when you could see them. No, Gregus, you know, sometimes
watch all those details. Sometimes they're an indicator.

said that one reason we hadn't done more research on
urineuses cause all the harmful gases.
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
Thank you, sir. I know Greg Isburn's favorite part. So

Speaker 8 (01:34:08):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:34:08):

him out there about the dirt. What a good one.
Rick Burgers Show, unscreen phone calls, go ahead.
Speaker 9 (01:34:43):

Speaker 13 (01:34:50):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:34:50):

in a band called Foxy back in the early eighties.
You need to look up a couple of these videos.
One of them is called Get Off of the other

Speaker 2 (01:36:43):
We know we know the band Foxy. Donald Trump was
not in Foxy. But I appreciate you called us. I

on the front lines and trying to be educated about it,
(01:37:49):
but at the same time not obsess over it, but
not to be ignorant about it. And so we're not
going to be putting one out this week as we're
all going on vacation, but you've got nine episodes. Can
go and catch up in case you've missed that new podcast. Uh,
and it's available wherever you get podcasting, and go ahead
and follow that, and then when a new one comes out,
not this coming weekend, but next weekend. You're getting alert
(01:38:11):
every time there's a new one there. So thank you
for the feedback on that. A couple of Trump updates,
you know Trump and this this thing with Trump and golf,
you know a band. Guys, guys, we've we've looked at
that in the break and it was good to hear
from Joe Carwasher's son. But uh, looking looking that's some
(01:38:32):
kind of Donald Trump was not in the band Fox
he was. You know, when you start talking about the
song title, I thought he was headed on some kind
of you know, love low Road. I wrote that song now,
I remember, I remember it. I actually had the four. Yeah,
I got that, you know. I actually I actually didn't know.
That was probably something as a kid I shouldn't have
been singing. I don't know, Yeah, but I had the
(01:38:53):
forty five. It was a song about riding the bus
and what I thought it was about dancing. I thought
it was about yeah, are somebody doing well? It was
a party game. Yeah, probably at that time the language,
but right now you throw that around, I remember they
did and we hit that floor. Yeah. But they're claiming
Donald Trump is in this band. He's not in the band.
(01:39:14):
I don't know where that's from. Somebody looks like him,
but I don't see anybody in that band that even
looks like Is this a chick? Where I think it's
a dude with a bunch of I think that's a dude.
Speaker 5 (01:39:25):
Is this a chick? That's definitely dude?
Speaker 2 (01:39:27):
Okay, that with a beard? Maybe a chick?
Speaker 5 (01:39:30):
Right, Yeah, it was the seventies.
Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
Got to tell you who was in the band apparently
totally inside joke here Leo Davis. Right, I don't know
him from catch.
Speaker 5 (01:39:44):
I don't know him, but I love the joke.
Speaker 2 (01:39:46):
Yeah, there's not there's not a lot of good people
in this industry, in the radio industry, but Leo Davis
was really nice guy. He really was who he was.
Trump basically played bass with fog had Ah. Here's Trump.
Speaker 8 (01:40:01):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:40:01):
The new thing is that Trump and golf and you know,
and Trump is always been extremely humble, oh yeah about everything,
but especially so he's gonna he's gonna drive his first
t shot. This is his new golf course right when
the world is watching.
Speaker 21 (01:40:18):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:40:19):
They say he's gonna drive it at seventy nine years old,
two hundred and ninety yards down the middle of the fairway.
Speaker 11 (01:40:24):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:40:24):
And of course he's gonna make a comment in our
second video about about it, which is funny. So so anyway, here,
here we go.
Speaker 22 (01:40:32):
Here's Trumps of the United States of America, Donald J.
Speaker 5 (01:40:37):
Trump. This is like the region's tradition.
Speaker 2 (01:40:41):
Yeah yeah, yeah, he's taking us taking practice. Mind, that's
his standards. One way.
Speaker 5 (01:40:49):
She goes here.
Speaker 2 (01:40:52):
Long time, all right, and he's talking to the gallery. Yeah,
so in the second one, that pretty good. Yeah he did,
It's real good. In the second video, he's going to
ask this person did they see the first drund? Okay,
(01:41:16):
he actually remember that. I really like that.
Speaker 11 (01:41:18):
So this is on?
Speaker 2 (01:41:20):
Is he? Is he getting on air Force one? Now
a force?
Speaker 1 (01:41:23):
Did you get to see my driver in the first hall?
Speaker 2 (01:41:27):
Pretty long? Pretty long? That's not Joe Baiten?
Speaker 8 (01:41:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:41:34):
That sound biting, right, it's a good that was a
good drive.
Speaker 18 (01:41:41):
So long?
Speaker 2 (01:41:46):
Pretty my first grin You listen, You can't those of
you listening. You're listening only you're really missing the facial expression,
you know, because he also makes facial expressions like I'm
about to easy. Like I watch his facial expression when
he asked, did you see my first Did you get
to see my driver in the first hall?
Speaker 18 (01:42:08):
You just.
Speaker 5 (01:42:10):
Long, pretty long?
Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
That's that's not Joe Biden. Let me tell you that's sound.
Speaker 4 (01:42:20):
Drive.
Speaker 2 (01:42:23):
That's not Biden?
Speaker 8 (01:42:24):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
Isn't you working on that's yes, I'm wreaking on it.
Speaker 1 (01:42:29):
Are you a robot?
Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
I just ad you like my life?
Speaker 8 (01:42:32):
Know?
Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
That's so bad.
Speaker 5 (01:42:34):
This depresses me.
Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
All we're doing is the country is whinning winning.
Speaker 5 (01:42:39):
I'm still sad.
Speaker 2 (01:42:40):
Video two Uh so here's Scott Jennings. You know, anytime
we can hear from Scott Jennings, he is going to
I like, Scott, Scott saw my first drive. Uh so
the kind of veered into that one there, Scott Jennings.
He's saying that he, you know, he flipped to because
I'm a very strong Trump supporter. And he's gonna explain
(01:43:03):
why that is. This is the PbD, correct, mister, PGBD podcast.
Scott Jay fled after he saw my drive.
Speaker 4 (01:43:14):
Pretty long?
Speaker 2 (01:43:15):
Have you seen it pretty long?
Speaker 1 (01:43:16):
John?
Speaker 2 (01:43:17):
You see mine is long? No, No, Joe Biden. Here
is Scott Jennings explaining why he flipped.
Speaker 23 (01:43:24):
Well, I vote a Republican my whole life, and I
did vote for him three times. But like everybody else,
I didn't get it. I mean, I'd readily admit I
did not get it. I did not understand it. I
did not get how this guy who hadn't been a
Republican was coming along to take over the Republican Party.
Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
I just I did not get it.
Speaker 23 (01:43:40):
And so over time I began to realize what he
was doing, and I also began to realize the choice.
And you know, in twenty twenty four, for me, there
was no I mean Kamala Harris versus Donald Trump, the
idea of common sense versus whatever it is she was selling.
And so I plus his opposition, the reflexive nature of
(01:44:00):
his opposition to hate and try to delegitimize him on
everything he does, I think is terrible for America.
Speaker 2 (01:44:07):
I mean they're rooting.
Speaker 5 (01:44:08):
I mean, you wear that pin.
Speaker 23 (01:44:09):
They're rooting against America on the tariffs all April. They
were hoping it would fail. Imagine that they're holding in jail.
Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
On Iran when we when we when we bomb the
missile sites. What's the first thing that happened.
Speaker 3 (01:44:21):
We got to impeach him?
Speaker 23 (01:44:22):
Oh, he didn't do that much damage. The immediate delegitimatization
of this guy. Every time he does something, they root
for America's failure.
Speaker 2 (01:44:31):
So does he does?
Speaker 5 (01:44:32):
He everything he does?
Speaker 8 (01:44:32):
Do?
Speaker 23 (01:44:32):
I no, no politician, I'm one hundred percent all the time.
But I'll tell you this, I like it that he
roots for America.
Speaker 2 (01:44:40):
Okay, there you go. That's well, said Scott. Yeah, well
you see that drive. Well, No, no human being is
lickable on one hundred percent of all things, especially if
he ever greets you. You just almost use my goodness,
I love people. Oh you do, you do? Thank you'll.
What about when the person said that they realized, looking
(01:45:00):
back on their childhood that they were over greedy by
speeding it as a child, they didn't understand it in fact, no, no, no,
Greg says that you're you're so overgreed that it bothers
people at bit. They're not sure what I've made me
have some self reflection to narrow that the space that
people have to be in before you acknowledge it, right,
(01:45:21):
but you had a wide space for a while.
Speaker 6 (01:45:23):
That joke is probably one of the least It is
probably one of the most insensitive jokes I've ever had
a caller call in with.
Speaker 2 (01:45:30):
But it was funny.
Speaker 6 (01:45:30):
I gotta admit I laughed at it. I felt bad
for laughing at it later, did you really Yes? I
thought about it later.
Speaker 5 (01:45:35):
I was like, Wow, that's actually.
Speaker 2 (01:45:36):
Really about what saying you over greeted as a child. Yes,
that was funny. It was very funny, very well. But
this room is so you get such callous. You're so
calloused in here you don't even recognize things that because
the first one you first thought that, I'm like, was it.
Now you're you talk about it. I'm like, oh, I said,
(01:45:57):
in the normal world, what are you talking about? Well,
he said that he thought that the guy saying that
he was traumatized by you over greeting, because you know,
basically there's people you're being made fun of for being
a nice person. That's why I said he was he
was over greeted as a child. Yeah, and didn't realize
and didn't realize it, right, and he was like and
traumatized by some people that to flash back, have those
(01:46:19):
things about things that are very serious. Yeah, of course,
of course I'm so calloused. I laughed and never thought
to and now that you you didn't either, now that
you pointed out, But now that it's being pointed out,
I realized.
Speaker 7 (01:46:31):
But you know what, at the time, I thought, Man,
what a creative call. I love when people come to
the show they bring their families. I can't believe anybody
would even do that.
Speaker 2 (01:46:39):
I'm just so.
Speaker 6 (01:46:40):
Thankful, and honestly, kudos to the caller because the premise
of that joke is incredibly dark and you could have
really blown it.
Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
Yeah, they played it perfect. Did a good job.
Speaker 7 (01:46:50):
And listen, I'm always given for two sometimes three. Yeah,
because Greg.
Speaker 2 (01:46:54):
Sometimes you got to give us a minute. They get up,
so you don't not at hell you're saying, can give
me a second.
Speaker 4 (01:47:03):
Hello?
Speaker 2 (01:47:03):
And then I then I like him like you.
Speaker 6 (01:47:05):
In fact, I appreciate you greeting me in the morning
on behalf of Greg, because this morning, yeah, heybo he
speaking goes heybody and Greg, I thought I said, Greg,
you said zero words times?
Speaker 5 (01:47:17):
He said high for you.
Speaker 2 (01:47:18):
I must have been hung in a stair. That's okay,
it's okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, people bring it up a level.
If I see that he's not going you did.
Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
I appreciated it.
Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
Now, Greg, Greg really appreciates people being here, and he
even appreciates the things we do. It's just for him.
It takes him a lot. It's a lot harder for
him to to to actually express it. Yeah, you know,
you know, depends off I'm paying attention. Right, Greg, listen
speaking Lisa, I love you, Lisa say it, but he
she needs to hear it. You thought you said hello
(01:47:51):
to me this morning? Right, that's different. But do you go, hey,
love I want you to look at Chris, right. I
appreciate you, Chris, and I appreciate the things you do.
Feel weird telling by every day.
Speaker 1 (01:48:05):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. Go ahead, admit it.
(01:48:28):
This show has started to grow on you. Isn't it
the Rick Burgers Show.
Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
Yeah, I'm telling you it is, right. Okay, thanks for
being with us, America. A lot to do. More unscreened
phone calls coming up later. Hey birds, Hey bird, stories
of the day. We'll work our way through it. We
love hanging out with you. Thanks for taking time to
hang out with us again. The day. You miss anything,
go and check out the archives, either on our podcast
(01:48:56):
channel or our YouTube channel. Never miss a moment, because
if you miss a moment of the show, you miss
a lot. Okay, you gotta be, you gotta be. You
never know what's gonna happen next from the show. All right,
so a couple of things to make you aware of.
All right, speedy, watch this. You're gonna you're gonna see that.
I'm gonna get it perfect, okay, Okay. By so we're
on vacation next week. Yep, you you will be getting
(01:49:20):
the best of hours, some of the best hours of
the show. Every every show will be built. Every hour
will be from a former show. The first seven months
we've pulled out the ones that y'all seem to have
commented on the most enjoyed those For a week, we'll
all go on vacation together and Lord Willing will all
come back on the tenth. So we're hitting you with
some things that are gonna be happening while we're away.
(01:49:42):
Then all of a sudden're gonna look, we're gonna be back. Okay.
So Greg and Speedy mentioned they'll be part of the
fundraiser for Rainbow Rainbow Omega at the Finnick in Birmingham
next Friday. See, we'll be on vacation, So if you
want to join them, you need to go ahead and
get a plan to do that by going to Rainbowomega
dot org so that it tails there and there's not
many tables left, so if you want to do that.
(01:50:03):
So also coming up next weekend and into Monday. So
on August the ninth, from the Maanchurch dot com, Rich
Wingo is joining Charles Billingsley in Tuscumbia, Alabama there at
First Baptist Culbert heights Man Church, Big gathering for men,
big men's event. Okay, so be there if you want
(01:50:23):
a part of that. On the tenth, watch this speeding
you're ready don't be nervous, all right, go for it.
On August tenth, the day Lord willing we come back
on the show that night. I'll actually be going to Albertville, Alabama.
That's right, the home of Z ninety three. Okay, here's
our show. I will be at sand Mountain Park in Albertville.
It is a free event. It starts at six and
(01:50:46):
it is being put together by Gunnersville First Methodist Church,
that's right. And it's a community wide event. Men, you're
welcome to come that. I would you like that, And
that's true. By the way, I will tell you that
if you are a man and you're saying I really
want to plug in to the man church, and I've
been looking for one near me, August is always prime
(01:51:10):
prime time. Okay. We have what is like six man
churches in August, and they're in various markets various states.
Go to the manchurch dot com under events, and this
is a great time to plug in, all right. So
I've been a little confused because there's many other things
going on in August that we just don't have time
to run down right now. Okay, So this American eagle
(01:51:33):
denim ad we're living in such a weird world. The
world is just so so strange. If there has ever
been a time to scream to this society, lighting up Francis, yeah,
this is the time to do it. I honestly was
so confused when I started watching all these lamenting, crying people.
(01:51:54):
How can America you go take this? This is a
shift back to white supreme And I'm like, what a
blue chin ad with a model? I mean, is this
some kind of I'm not familiar with this young lady
actor Sidney Sweeney. They list some things she's been in.
(01:52:15):
I don't know her very well, but American Eagle has
brought her in with their new campaign. Now, how many
times have we all heard this statement? Okay, you see
an attractive person and you said, boy, they got good genes,
ge n ees, Okay, athletes, Man, I tell you one thing, Boy,
they got some good genes. Okay, people who live a
(01:52:38):
long time and have their cognitive skills. The guy was
talking about that we cut up a little bit by
the way, about me being at that thing this past weekend.
That man is in his eighties, and I found myself going,
if I could have his mind and his ability to
still be out working and doing what he loves outdoors
and at his age, you know what, I thought, he
(01:52:59):
must have good genes. Genetically, this guy's healthy. And so
we talk about this a lot. So they come out
with an ad I thought, actually pretty clever that takes
this actress in a pair of genes and they say
Scarlett Sweeney has some good genes and they spell it
j E A n S. And then they actually had
(01:53:21):
a billboard that had a picture of her looking at
herself where G E n E S is marked marked
through and j E a n S is replaced. We're
doing a little play on words with Jensen. Somehow, somehow,
this this ad campaign in today's society has been accused
of promoting white supremacy. And I'm what I mean, it's
(01:53:47):
so obvious. I mean they could have used, you know,
an Asian woman, a black woman, a Latina and done
the exact same thing, and we all would have thought, hey,
that's clever. Yeah. Jeans and jeans yeah, and uhs and
pants yea? Is it scarlet Sydney? Sydney people are saying
(01:54:12):
it's Scarlet's when it's they're saying it's Sydney, not Scarlet.
Did I say Charlett one time. Yeah, Sidney swings on you.
I'd said that right one time. Who I don't know
who this person is.
Speaker 5 (01:54:24):
She's very very famous.
Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
Not not important. What's important?
Speaker 8 (01:54:28):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:54:28):
What is she famous because she's white? Nos?
Speaker 8 (01:54:34):
Not.
Speaker 2 (01:54:34):
This was something that was never ever considered. They're they're
going as far as saying this is what the Nazis thought,
what the white blond hair, blue haired people were superior,
saying that that white women are superior. This is what
we all should be shooting for. That's not what they're saying.
We're doing the blue jean things. This is this is
(01:54:54):
a clever ad about blue jeans. Yeah, she's pretty, got
good blue.
Speaker 5 (01:55:00):
She's not pretty because she's white. She's pretty because she's pretty.
Speaker 8 (01:55:05):
Do you know what?
Speaker 6 (01:55:05):
You know what I'm saying, She's got good genes. You
can be a Latina and have good genes. Okay, Yeah,
and I'd be anything and have good genes. But that's
not a white thing.
Speaker 2 (01:55:14):
Yeah, Greg, you've already said this when you and I
were getting getting our buzzbox coffee for the day. Let
me tell all minority groups. Okay, if this is where
you are, this is how hard you have to look
to claim that somebody's promoting white supremacy. Congratulations, because the
garbage y'all have been through, we must have resolved all
(01:55:36):
of it. Yes, if we're down to this, if we're
down to this, because this is a big deal at all.
So your life has been so much better. The only
way that you can feel like you're being you know,
you know, marginalized, is that a white actress who happens
to be pretty has been picked for an ad campaign
(01:55:57):
about how pretty people have good genes, and we're going
to play off that into denim Jens. It's like you
think we're talking about there, why they look, we're talking
about their gene, right, you know that's that's the whole point.
It's actually a very she's got good genes. It's a
A E, A N S gene. It's a cleverer campaign. Yeah,
but so so it whatn't matter who, what color, who
(01:56:18):
what where? And if she was any other ethnicity, you
wouldn't be saying this. So, guys, this thing, this obsession
nazis right, and apparently very little education on the Nazis. Yeah,
but you don't know, all of you out there on
the emotional left, you you don't know what fascism is
(01:56:39):
you don't understand the Nazis. Somebody told you to say
that you don't understand white supremacy. Somebody's giving you that
little catchphrase, uh, you know, white privilege, all this garbage.
Things must be going pretty well.
Speaker 1 (01:56:54):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Welcome to a brand
new hour of the Rick Burchers Show with the Sweetie,
(01:57:19):
Greg Burchers, Eddie van Adler and Rick Burchers.
Speaker 2 (01:57:25):
Thank you, Ken Ozbry and a brand new iri it
is and we thank you for being with us today.
Pretty good one here. No surprise as we start the hour.
If you missed last hour, we ended it on the
Sydney Sweeney bizarro thing that's going on with American Egle
in this ad that some people think is promoting Nazis.
(01:57:48):
Lord to help us anyway. Babylon be wasting no time, Babylon.
Let me tell you, Babylon b is not going to
let one go by. So they said that American Eagle
has actually heard the outcry. They have replaced Sydney Sweeney
with a fat, transgender double amputee of color. Okay, there
we go, that'll work. That'll work all right. Why does
(01:58:12):
the left always get it wrong?
Speaker 7 (01:58:14):
They can't keep these genes in stock they're selling, so
I mean, I know they want to hear them by complaining,
and all they've done is bringing back none of us
would have ever been talking about. It's just like these
some of these NFL players that have come out, you know,
either for Trump or they're somewhat conservative, or they have
certain values, and they all go after them, criticize them.
They sell their jerseys out, they can't keep them in stock.
Speaker 2 (01:58:34):
Well, you know, they just they just constantly get it wrong,
and you do, and I'll tell you why they get
it wrong. It's one of the things that we based
as one of these slogans for this ship. They live
and I know it's a worn out phrase, but it
really is true. They live in a fake world where
they are and what they think closed in by no
(01:58:55):
critical thinking, no reality, boxed into this world and social media,
and they're scrolling and and and the voices that they
that say the same echo chambers. They're locked in there,
and they have got a false sense of how the
majority of the society in which they live truly live
their lives. So to your point, it's like, I really
(01:59:18):
believe if you went over to like one of the
people that's crying on the social media, and I don't
know about y'all. I wake up every day going, gosh,
I wonder what Doja Cat thinks about this? You know,
whoever is who? First of all, your name is Doja Cat? Whoever?
This train wreck is okay, because that's one of the
videos I've seen. But what I'm what I'm thinking is like,
(01:59:41):
like speedy, Seriously, you would walk into her echo chamber
and you would say, I'm I'm from the world out here.
How's all this? Nazi American eagle ad?
Speaker 4 (01:59:51):
I bet?
Speaker 2 (01:59:52):
I bet everybody's mad, and you're like, no, they can't
keep the genes in stock. What you know what that means?
A lot of people disagree with you. Yeah, everybody kind
of think what you're saying is stupid. Really who lots
of people, even people of color. Yeah, you know, it's
just you know, people who actually their mind is actually
operated pretty well. The efforts you have to put forward
(02:00:14):
to be offended by this, I mean, that's a lot
of work to get to the point where you're offended
by a Geni's commercial. I'm not it's obvious what they're doing. Caution,
I'm getting this off text Nation, So I'm looking it up.
I don't know Speedy's looking. They're saying that Jesse Waters
is saying that the actual owner of the American Eagle
brand is a Jewish person. Yes he was, Jay, don't
(02:00:39):
worry about it, Scotchtenstein. He is was raised in Columbus,
Ohio to a Jewish family. So you know, Jewish people
are always putting out these Nazi ads. I mean, and
you know what, just being able to critically think and
reason that out, you would know what they're doing and
understand it unless you're upset because things are going so well,
(02:01:03):
you got to find something because that that you feed
off that. There's some people that just feed off this stuff.
I mean they it's like their nourishment and not not
for me.
Speaker 8 (02:01:16):
No.
Speaker 7 (02:01:16):
Yeah, and a lot of it's fake feeding too, because
they're they're paid to create.
Speaker 2 (02:01:20):
You know you're talking about you know about the patronizing lamp.
Speaker 7 (02:01:23):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, either they don't mean it or
you find out they've actually they don't go to work.
Speaker 2 (02:01:29):
That that's what they do all day.
Speaker 7 (02:01:31):
They get paid to protest and go on social media
and make these claims.
Speaker 2 (02:01:35):
That's what they do all day. Yeah, and I'm okay,
I'm all for seriously, I'm all for everybody being comfortable
in their own skin. I'm certainly been a person of
weight still am and try to do better than all this.
But I don't. I'm in the real world. I know
nobody wants to see me dance around in my underwear.
I'm not probably the guy to pick to sell underwear.
But yet, but yet, but yet, We'll pretend that these
(02:01:57):
heavy women, you know, showing us their stomachs and every thing,
that somehow we really think that this society says, oh yeah,
give me more of that, you know, and the people.
I'm not saying that you should be if that's you,
be comfortable yourself as long as you're not, you know,
don't put yourself in the health risk or whatever. But
you know, I don't. I'm not delusion enough to think
that I should be picked as an underwear model. No
(02:02:18):
I mean, or I should be modeling clothing for fit
people or whatever. I mean, I'm not delusional about that,
and that's doesn't make me feel bad, that's not that's okay.
I mean, I still know my worth and I'm I'm
perfectly confident in myself. But but I mean, we pretend,
you know, it's that pretend bring out more fat women
modeling all this because because it's great. You know, you know,
(02:02:39):
It's one thing to say I'm a plus sized model,
meaning I'm a little thick. It's another thing to say
that I'm growest, grotest and obese and I'm dancing around
showing you my stomach. Right, nobody wants to see that
thousand pounds is.
Speaker 5 (02:02:51):
I got bad news, guys.
Speaker 6 (02:02:53):
American Eagles actually caved and they've got a new spokesperson out,
and here's the commercial.
Speaker 5 (02:02:59):
They've I can't believe.
Speaker 2 (02:03:00):
They've caved already. And then you can't bend it.
Speaker 6 (02:03:03):
This American Eagle has has a new uh spokesperson to
show this person has even better jeans than Sydney Sweeney.
Speaker 2 (02:03:10):
Check it out.
Speaker 8 (02:03:11):
I mean, how a guy who eats McDonald's and chicks
and all his diet cokes and who never exercises isn't
as good a shape as you say he's in.
Speaker 5 (02:03:19):
It's called genetics. Some people have, you know, just great jeans.
Speaker 2 (02:03:22):
Donald Trump Trump has great gens, immigration jeans, funny, that's
good stuff. Trump. I wish I was that guy, but
I was. That was my voice I I do too,
(02:03:44):
and you would sing things in bass yeah, being on
the l and then but we ain't turning back in
the house. They were getting it loud. Answer, this is
(02:04:05):
something I mentioned, and now I've got the email.
Speaker 5 (02:04:08):
What's the words?
Speaker 2 (02:04:09):
Vince? Vince says, send me this email? Hey bird, Hey Birge,
you remember I mentioned this to you on the show,
either yesterday or Monday, says. I know you're staying busy
and have all intentions of fixing problematic businesses, but know
also that in reality it's pie in the sky and
(02:04:31):
you'll never get your chance. But as long as you
are willing to dream, I'd like to add another list
to what I'm now calling better business Burgess. Okay, that
was I'm trying to remember that. I would like, if
you don't mind, I would like to add. Now, this
is controversial to me, and I'm not sure I want
this kind of pressure because I know how beloved this
(02:04:53):
product is. Would you please add to your list of
businesses that you'll fix Dollar General. I've experienced the airlines myself,
and although you didn't call it by name, I'm assuming
I knew what fast food restaurant you're at Saturday morning
so I know that experience firsthand as well. Adler said
(02:05:14):
he can never time it. I'm with him no matter
when I stopped by a Dollar General, even if there's
one car in the parking lot. You got one girl
in that office in the office county change, you got
two stocking shelves. Why it's catch um with toilet paper
on the same shelf. Rick, look into this motor oil
is there too? And another guy outside smoking. Oh, I
(02:05:37):
needs a jug of milk, which if they have it,
it's a miracle to me more than Jesus raising Lazarus
from the dead. And I'm paying with cash, so he says.
So I look, the guy smoking has to finish that cigarette.
And the one car belongs to a twenty eight year
(02:05:59):
old that lit like she's sixty with a buggy loaded
for a banquet that has to be sorted through because
none of her multiple ebt's had enough to cover it.
And it's always her man's fault, which I have to
hear about. Hey, all I need is a jug of milk, bird,
and I've got cash. Will you please fix this too?
(02:06:21):
I can speak to that, can you I got in
that situation? Let me plus, let me tell you that
you got the DG market and you got the DG regular. Yeah,
the regular ones. That's the ones where you go in
all the stocks at the end of the aisle and
you can't get by, and they're constance. He's talking about it. Okay,
the DG market's a little better. But as far as
and I'm not I mean people, I'm not making fun,
(02:06:41):
but you're not. I got it behind. What is this?
First of all, I got a buggy full, say to me,
the DGS. You just go in and get some tilet
paper it is, you know, But they got a buggy full.
And he's right. They have different eb T car, yes,
and this one they ain't got on it. And then
he's got this one on it and I'm standing there
and all I have is milk, just like him. Then
also they finally get that worked out and they got
to talking. I guess they knew each other. Did I
(02:07:03):
show you a picture of him? Oh? No, So she
has to get her phone out. I guess it's a
baby or something all this, But anyway, after we went
through all the cars, and then I had to sit
back while they showed a picture of the baby to somebody.
I thought you could have done that while you were Oh,
you know, but anyway, Yeah, but the d G market's
a little easier to get through. I know you like that,
but no, ain't that. I'm just saying there is a
(02:07:24):
difference for me to feel out. If I'm going to
take better business burges, should I ignore the d G
market and just go straight to the standard?
Speaker 8 (02:07:33):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:07:33):
No, the DG market's better. Well, I mean, should I
not fool to try to fix it? It doesn't need
to be fixed. Oh oh I got the regular Yeah.
For what it does, it's fine and not great. Don't
get me wrong. I know the DG that's close to us.
They did away with self checkout because there was a
bit so many items being stolen, I said, and because
that was convenient because it took away that Wait, must
(02:07:54):
do what they've done here because they got them. But
they're they're never ad out.
Speaker 7 (02:07:58):
We did a story about that a while back where
they were discontinuing that.
Speaker 2 (02:08:01):
Yeah text Nation, he said, Yeah, the step check asks,
if they're there, they don't work. It's like it's like
McDonald's ice cream machine.
Speaker 1 (02:08:08):
This is the Rick Burgess Show doing what he was
foring to do.
Speaker 2 (02:08:25):
The Rick Bush Show, still loving it and thankful to
be here. They teach you, every one of you, all
of you out there that hang out with us every
day and never miss a moment if it's possible. Hilarious
from text Nation. Last time I went to a Dollar
General just to get a greeting card, someone broke into
(02:08:47):
my car. He can't have Well, let me tell you
that guy I told great. I don't know what his
name was. There was a guy did a funny YouTube
video where he acted like he was a He was
the guy for a Dollar General that went to find
a site to build the next one and all the
things he's looking for before they would even consider it,
and it is hilarious. My favorite one is the last line,
(02:09:08):
what there's one just crossed straight? Perfect?
Speaker 5 (02:09:13):
We played that on the air, Yeah we did.
Speaker 2 (02:09:15):
I think we did. Okay, I can't remember his name.
Speaker 5 (02:09:17):
And y'all said he wasn't funny. It's Dane the Great.
Speaker 2 (02:09:19):
Y'all said he wasn't funny.
Speaker 5 (02:09:20):
Yes, you guys ripped it.
Speaker 2 (02:09:21):
I was like, this guy's funny and I played on
the area goes did you play that thing about the dollars?
Speaker 11 (02:09:29):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (02:09:30):
When I watched it by myself, I laughed good you
must be mistaken. You must you must have played something
else by speaking of things that Greg loves like Adler, Uh, Helix,
Sleep dot com slash big Vox. Let's face it, big
Greg does not like many things he does. He know
it's a small he really likes it, like the d
(02:09:54):
G market, but ill Helix, Sleep dot com slash big vox.
This is your common sense. Don't you think you'd have
a better night's sleep if the mattress you're sleeping on
was actually made for you? Yeah, the way you like
to sleep?
Speaker 1 (02:10:07):
Right?
Speaker 11 (02:10:08):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:10:08):
And you do fill out of sleep quiz doesn't take long.
Matter of fact, it's so easy to do. Greg stuck
with it. He looks sleep dot com slash big Vox.
They want to know the positions you sleep, you know,
stomach side, back, combo, How you like it? How you
like your mattress? Medium, firm, soft? I bet your medium?
Aren't you gidium? And then of course are you big? Big?
(02:10:30):
And tall? They got they've got and tall, y'all? They
want to they want to take that into account. Is
it for a childist? Is it for a child? This
is the one of course Adler got for Ruby, not you.
But they can share it, but they can. He looks
sleep dot com slash Big Vox. Go there right now,
twenty seven percent off. They'll ship it to your door,
(02:10:51):
no shipping, one hundred nights to sleep on it, to
be sure that you love it, and if you don't
crazy If you don't, they'll refund it. But you would,
I mean it was customized for you. Helicksleep dot com
slash Big Vox, Thank you, Assistant coach twenty seven percent
off or Rick Burgess show dot com under the sponsors. Okay,
(02:11:11):
a couple of things going on too. This is a
weird story today. X WWE chief Vince McMahon was in
a high speed car crash at the same time Ulk
Hogan died. Yeah, no, wait a minute, how about that?
Isn't that weird? Same day or same time, Vince McMahon
was involved in a high speed car crash with a
(02:11:34):
pedestrian what around the same time as the death of
wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. The report claims that the seventy
nine year old rammed to the back of a twenty
twenty three BMW four thirty before a third vehicle was
then impacted by debris from the initial crash. Well, he
(02:11:55):
was coming on in too.
Speaker 4 (02:11:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:11:56):
The driver of the BMW, confirmed as Barbara Dorian, took
to Facebook to share pictures from the crash the squalling,
revealing her side of the story. Uh And Vince McMahon,
former w w E chair hit me going eighty to
ninety miles an hour as I drove in the right
lane of a narrow place called Merritt Highway there trying
(02:12:20):
to catch a ferry to Martha's vineyard and so. And
they're saying, when you look at the time stamp, this
is right around the time. To him, what in the world.
Speaker 5 (02:12:32):
Yeah, he's had a lot of work done.
Speaker 2 (02:12:34):
What's happened?
Speaker 6 (02:12:35):
He's turned into some weird evil bad guy from Kids
moved like the main feeling in like spy kids is
what he would like, same thing.
Speaker 5 (02:12:44):
I don't know what the human thighs doing.
Speaker 2 (02:12:47):
What I thought was kind of interesting is how But
now this is how fast he was going and how
he was swerving in and out of traffic, and an
unmarked police car was following him, gonna pull him over,
but it didn't get to him until it was too late.
But so he crashed at the same time. Hulk Hogan
died correct there's the tie there. I guess they're just saying,
isn't it odd? Maybe maybe he knew something, Maybe he
(02:13:08):
was upset. Uh, he ain't been upset, Uh, Vince, you
ever read the details and some things he was accused of,
don't don't do that disturbing, don't read that. Didn't he
have to sell the company? I don't know, Greg. Some
of it was so bad that Jeffrey Epstein actually got
invited to his hand, Greg Win, would you do it?
(02:13:32):
I'm leaving it though. Why would you say, Oh, it's horrible,
don't listen. Okay, I don't know that he can make it.
We've got to come up with something. Hands one time
you did too. I bet you're in New York. Bet
you regretted. I did after I read what was going on,
going to the bathroom and Washington right, my goodness, I
had no idea, Hey, you need to hurry all right.
(02:13:53):
So now, because Dion Sanders is now being used to
bring awareness the bladder cancer, now there's going to be
warning signs that you might have bladder cancer. And I
don't want to know them because I know if I
read them, I want to think I got to know.
Speaker 7 (02:14:06):
I know they're taking the moment with the publicity of
his bladder cancer and you surviving. They're saying, guys, you
need to pay attention here.
Speaker 2 (02:14:18):
Maybe there's some signs that he missed because he said
he had no side effects, that no indication at all
until this screening came back for his blood clots that
he even had it. I know him. Wow. From one
extreme of that said it said Dion was never a smoker,
so that was not in play. The main sign And
this is a little rough main sign, which I would
(02:14:40):
think blood. Yeah, if you see some blood when you're
relieving yourself, even without pain, Uh, this is never that
you need to you need to look into that. So
and and of course if it's really really advanced, you
may have some structure, and so yeah, look for red
(02:15:04):
flags and to be sure you're getting scanned you can.
And but what I'm saying is if the one the
main thing you're looking for, I think all of us
will be concerned about that. Did Deon not have that?
Maybe not, because he said he had no idea at all.
(02:15:25):
It was it was shocking to him when they told
him what.
Speaker 5 (02:15:28):
Time, So watch out for symptoms.
Speaker 6 (02:15:30):
Even though Deon Sanders had no symptoms what they're saying about.
Speaker 4 (02:15:33):
Yeah, I feel good.
Speaker 5 (02:15:34):
Yeah yeah, I thought about Dion in the bathroom earlier today,
Did you really? Because it was because his cancer? Not
to say anything like that.
Speaker 2 (02:15:41):
I got, you know, weird.
Speaker 1 (02:15:44):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. It's time for unsqueaen

their Sons, chewbacca, yes and you better you better teach
those kids to have some thick. Skin SO i think

you probably didn't have a very convincing tone when you said,
that that's. Great you know WHAT i think when you
do things like, that like name your Kids luke And,
leah if you do, That, darth you're the one that's
put the discomfort on. Society so you're you're the one
that's got to deal with. It you can't put that
(02:24:16):
on us and and act us to and to put
that kind of navigator that that's that's an obstacle we
are all navigating around and you put that on, Us
so you gotta you're gonna have to take that, ball
take that. OUT i saw an article yesterday talking about
how people have Taken Alabama university and named their, children
and a lot of them out, there a. Lot and
(02:24:37):

Speaker 2 (02:27:31):
Know and we'll and we'll leave leave that. Out we've
been through this. Before but just remember, PARENTS i know
sometimes you want to be mad and you want to be,
different and you want to be edgy with your kid's,
name but remember you're not stuck with it the rest
of your. Life they, are. Uh and you, know even
you AND I, GREG i mean my, mom you, Know
(02:27:54):
god love. Her she said that she did not like
having a name that people struggle. With. Uh and you,
know And i've seen even now her name get mispronounced
all the time and all, that and nobody knows how
to spell it and you, know doctor's. Appointment, yeah and she,
said because she lived with. It she, said so when
my children will have simple Names, Rick, Greg, angie AND
(02:28:17):
i have like Five gregs in my. Classmen you know
that must have been a popular name in sixty. Six
and she, said because she knew what it was like
to have a unique name and how it was not
a lot of fun as a. Kid and you, know
so you think about these. THINGS i think sometimes from
a parenting, standpoint we, THINK i want to have a
kid named. Whatever but you're not named. That they're named,
(02:28:39):
that and they have to deal with that the rest of.
Theirs you're trying to make a social, statement they're going
to have to live with. It and, look some of
you biblical, PEOPLE i, mean there's some great names in The,
bible and don't get weird with, it, Right, OKAY i
mean it's something come home matter of.
Speaker 4 (02:28:54):
Fact.
Speaker 2 (02:28:55):
Now, LOOK i, know Like adler AND i have another
friend who they have son's Name. Ezra that's a cool.
Name that kind of name you can. Allow but you
get in that old. Testament be, CAREFUL i wanted And, Aaron, yeah,

yeah and so if you're gonna go biblical, names even
(02:29:15):
though you found One, adler good. Job a lot of,
times The New covenant's probably better, You Matthew, Martin Luke.
John's those are a lot. Simpler, yeah a lot. Simpler Uh, So,
paul you know all? This and uh? So uh is this?
Speaker 7 (02:29:29):

even brought this up and asked? Her what? Gifts, See
i'm one of those some people put two g's at
the end of Greg. Yeah it tries to auto correct

the back by the. Way somebody Said ezra is A
Star wars name? Too is there Somebody Star wars Name?
ISRA i don't know That ezra character In Star.
Speaker 5 (02:30:47):
Wars, plus when you think About, gregory it's it's a
SINGLE g in the middle of the Word.

Speaker 6 (02:31:16):
Too if you had to be Either walker Named Walker
texas Or, ranger which one are you?
Speaker 2 (02:31:24):
Picking it Ain't ranger. Walker walker is probably the most.
NORMAL i want to Go, walker BUT i know a
lot of people Named, walker so it wouldn't be all
the unique If i'm Going Ranger. Rangers this person says
that was the one that sent us. That that's not a. Joke,
okay his daughter is The Texas so did the did
(02:31:44):
did Tall Legan knights come out before his kids were?
Born or did he come up with it and then
Saw Tadlegan. Knights So i'm on the same. Page But
Ranger burgess sounds like though that Now i'm a cartoon.
CHARACTER i have a. Kid, Yeah, hey let's all go

Speaker 6 (02:32:20):
TAXI i just was reminded of a texture, saying Wasn't
adler's baby supposed to be Named ranger at one? Time
that's because we said Announcing Junior Ranger adler coming and whatever,
Whatever and we were, saying we're going to take our
kids to the parks a lot when they're old, like
and there'll be a Junior ranger when they grow, up
because a junior ranger.
Speaker 2 (02:32:39):
Has to do with like the parks system that's.
Speaker 5 (02:32:41):
Configured kid's name was.
Speaker 2 (02:32:42):
It CAN i bear you off that junior? Ranger CAN
i bear you off that? Path that's WHY i have a.
VAN a lot of pressure go to. Parks there's a
lot of. Pressure there's not there's not any, like hey
look at, Me i'm out going through puberty that wants
to be a little, ranger.
Speaker 5 (02:32:57):
RIGHT i would never have done. That people thought that
we were going to she was the name Junior Ranger
adler and we had to.
Speaker 2 (02:33:02):
Close that would have been really. GOOD i THINK i
think that The Boy scouts back when they had their
act together before they needed to be replaced by the.
Current whether it's that other organization that, said Let's.
Speaker 5 (02:33:11):
Scouts scouts Of.
Speaker 2 (02:33:12):
AMERICA i forget what trail trail, something, yeah but, anyway before,
THAT i always thought that the problem The Boy scouts
had before they went, woke even before that trail, life
trail life was the, uniform you know that when you're
a grown, man little, boys you, KNOW i always thought
(02:33:33):
the Cub scout was much cooler than what like the
Boy scouts. Wore, yeah you, KNOW i thought that yelling
that Cup scouts set up was pretty. Cool AND i
always thought they had a problem with we. BLOW i
thought they should have dropped that. Name that weird scarf
that the Boys scout uniform isn't cool, enough you, Know
AND i think you once you go through puberty and you're,
(02:33:54):
thinking DO i want to wear those socks with those?
Shorts probably not, no and that scarf probably.
Speaker 8 (02:34:02):
Not.
Speaker 2 (02:34:03):
Yeah so if they would hip it up to a
little more military looking or commando commando, Looking, yeah it's
just the uniforms got got some.
Speaker 5 (02:34:13):
Problems, yeah and the grown man that wear, it you,
THINK i, say you really feel For.
Speaker 2 (02:34:18):
Yeah that's not the guy you want his tent next to,
yours Right? Rick if he seems comfortable in the Boy scout,
attire it's a you, know there's been some issues lock your.
Tag don't that like there was there weren't issues lock your.
TENT i remember thinking how elementary it was THAT i
couldn't believe that you, know AND i don't even think
we had all the letters then that the LGBT q
(02:34:39):
tried to sell us that a man who was attracted to,
males it's perfectly fine if they go on camp outs with.
Boys you, know it's just not. APPROPRIATE i don't even
know how when anyone even asked us to do. That you,
know LIKE i said at the, time you would not
ever get away with a heterosexual man. Saying Think i'm
(02:35:00):
camp out with all these, girls your. Daughters everybody. GOES
i don't think, so probably. Shouldn't, yeah and so ON i, go, well,
not he may not be any sort of predator or a. Weirdo,
yeah but it's just not. Appropriate probably not the things
that do. Right scout was such a cool, thing, man
and they blew. It i'm about To Pinewood.
Speaker 6 (02:35:16):
Derby, yeah you had The Pinewood derby had wood you
have wood carving. COMPETITIONS i, mean camping and survival skills.
Speaker 5 (02:35:23):

Something greg gets Smart garnett in the. Closet it Is
(02:51:19):
it's exactly what it. Is that if you never heard that, story, yeah,
yeah when our Friend Mark, garnett he just his first
move was a bad. One it was and he couldn't
couldn't change. It if you don't know the, story just,
briefly his house was for sale and he had gone,
home laid down and fell asleep taking a. Nap Uh
(02:51:43):
and apparently the real estate agent had told his wife
that they were bringing people by to look at the,
house And garnet missed that or fell asleep and forgot
it or. Something he hears them coming in the door
to look at the. House, well instead of just getting
up walking out saying sorry about, THAT i was back
here taking a. Nap i'll let y'all have the. House he,
SAID i don't know WHAT i was. Thinking he dove
(02:52:04):
into the closet and, hid, yes underneath the, clothing and he's, like,
well now at this, POINT i, Mean i'm. Stuck now
they're they're walking around.
Speaker 5 (02:52:13):
Clothing, Et, yes and they came into the.
Speaker 2 (02:52:16):
Closet and we're talking about the closet space when he's
laying there, underneath and he, goes he. Goes at one,
point he, goes our cats start coming over to, me
and the little girl start, going what's kiddy looking? At
and he goes and he, said at this, point you're
you're too far. In and that's what happened to this.
Guy he got so far any star bashing his own.
Speaker 7 (02:52:35):
Team, YEAH i know you've done the mistaken identity thing
where you've acted Say i'm just. Rigged oh, Yeah i'm
just going to be because you don't want to hurt somebody's. Feelings,
yeah it's the same. Thing AND i know everybody can
probably relate to say at some point being. Mistaken but
THE t shirt thing is is something. Else and that's
a good one right. There look at.
Speaker 2 (02:52:54):
That look at that From textonation Of. MISSOURI i pretended
to be a latter day saint just a few weeks.
Speaker 27 (02:52:59):
Ago oh, boy so there there we.
Speaker 2 (02:53:10):
Go you, know you just passing people at the store and, yes.
Speaker 7 (02:53:14):
Conversation, yeah you think it's going to be a, yeah, hey,
yeah and then you're in it and then before you
know it would stop holding.
Speaker 2 (02:53:20):
Court don't see me?
Speaker 1 (02:53:21):
Here, no, no.
Speaker 2 (02:53:23):
No you know how many? Times AND i saw this
happen with our dad a lot because of him being
a coach that people knew in the community or. Whatever
how many of you have been didn't no real. Topic
you just started a conversation with someone who came up
to and start talking to, you ended the, conversation they,
left and you realized the way the conversation. Went they
(02:53:44):
think you know, them AND i guess you're supposed to
and you have no idea who it. Was, yeah that
by the, way that that's happened to me a number of.
Times we need to meet a lot of. People, well
my wife says it's BECAUSE i don't pay. Attention she
goes a lot of. Them they'll leave and, sugarn know
who was? That AND i SAID i Haven't and she, says,
well you're really in, there like you knew who that
WAS i, said, well, YEAH i didn't want to hurt their.
(02:54:05):
Feelings oh.
Speaker 9 (02:54:06):
Wow and and so.
Speaker 2 (02:54:08):
Somewhere deep inside you, GO i Know i've met this, person, right, yeah,
yeah And i've done.
Speaker 9 (02:54:13):
That.
Speaker 2 (02:54:14):
YEAH i, MEAN i get why we're. Calling, Right we'll

work for. You all, Right so as we come, back
a couple of things, added or let's look at six
and then we'll go into these. Others let's look at video.
Six i'm gonna do a little something on the fly
BECAUSE i think we need to get that into before
we go to day. Two this is A this is good.
News this is good news because you just felt so,
frustrating didn't it when when we were living under The
obama years and The biden years and and this this
(02:55:31):
green movement that is just you, KNOW i, actually you,
know they're just it's just illogical at. TIMES i, heard
you know WHEN i did you remember the presentation that
y'all saw me and y'all gave me a hard Time
monday WHEN i was with all the floppy hat earthy. People,
yeah you, know looking? Good well they they For one
of the things that that that he was talking about
(02:55:51):
to me was he, said we even Tried they have multiple,
greenhouses okay at this place because they grow a lot of.
Stuff he, said we had a solar company come in
and tell us to try some of the solar stuff
to see if it would. Work and we were, like,
hey you know, what let's try. It maybe this is
advanced enough that this will help us on our energy
(02:56:14):
costs and be a good way to try to use some.
Technology and he, said the problem that we ran into
is that we need these, plants a lot of. Them
when the cold weather comes, in there is no we
must have the heat inside these. Greenhouses we have to have, it,
(02:56:34):
Okay and he said we found the solar. Panels when
you put them in and they're fully, charged you could
do anything you wanted to, do and we thought this is.
Great the only problem is when they run, down we
found that because we were getting into the colder part
of the, year when they ran, down there wasn't enough
(02:56:55):
energy produced by the sun for them to do the
job we need. Done and he, said maybe down the
road they will, be but it was a failed experiment. Here.
Uh they we could not just, leave you, know the
current grid and go to these solar panels because it
could not do the. Job, so but what we dealt
(02:57:17):
with with the green movement and when the government Says
i'm gonna force there to be a demand that's not,
there And i'm gonna force products that really can't replace
the products that we've demonized to the to even near
the efficiency could be. Supplemental but they have their own
problems and, everything and we ended up losing all kinds
(02:57:39):
of money on these failed emotional attempts as some sort
of green movement's, Well trump's in and again you got
to start thinking Beyond, trump, guys Because greg said it many,
times if you don't win the next, election they just
gonna come right back in and turn all this. Stuff
they're gonna flip this switch back on, again rename the forts.
Again here is Lee zelden with THE, epa and they
(02:58:05):
are launching the largest d regulatory action and history about
all These obama emission regulations and this greenhouse gas emission,
regulations basically the damage of the failed green. Movement and
you're not going to believe how much money we're about
(02:58:26):
to save as a. Country so here it.
Speaker 28 (02:58:28):
IS epa is proposing to rescind the two thousand and
Nine OBAMA epa, endangement finally to eliminate all of the
greenhouse gas emissions regulations that, followed including electric vehicle, mandates
which amounts to a trillion dollars worth of.
Speaker 2 (02:58:45):
Sivings and on.
Speaker 5 (02:58:46):
Top of, it that much hated start stop.
Speaker 28 (02:58:49):
Technology EPA's also going to is also proposing to eliminate
that off cycle credit that incentivized.
Speaker 2 (02:58:56):
It as you mentioned it.
Speaker 28 (02:58:58):
Finalized this amounts to the largest deregulatory action in the
history of The United. States thanks To President, trump The
trump mandate and The american.
Speaker 2 (02:59:07):
People, Wow america is going to, here here's the savings
on this to deregulate this one trillion dollars worth of.
Savings that that's how much money we were just throwing
down a.
Speaker 4 (02:59:21):
Hole.
Speaker 2 (02:59:22):
Wow, okay do.
Speaker 5 (02:59:23):
You have another quick second for another.
Speaker 6 (02:59:25):
Refreshing refreshing trip yea with this is so different than
what we even we saw in Just LOGIC q one
and definitely different than what we saw During. Biden we're
going to be talking, about, uh THE gdp and the
measure of, inflation the Price, index and they're both in
a great spot right.
Speaker 5 (02:59:44):
Now this is these are brand new numbers and this
is courtesy Of Fox business AGAIN.
Speaker 22 (02:59:47):
Gdp this is the first read of the second quarter
coming in at three. Percent that is better than expected
two point four. PERCENT i want to bring It Adam.
Johnson markets are certainly watching this right.
Speaker 21 (02:59:58):
Yeah goldielots BECAUSE i would add too that At cheryl
that THE gdp price index was only two percent and
the expectation was two point. Two in other, words we
have an economy growing at what you, say three, percent
we have inflation at two. Percent that's the best of both.
Worlds So i'm very positive on that, report at least
in the.
Speaker 2 (03:00:16):
Moment so there you.
Speaker 8 (03:00:18):
Go.
Speaker 2 (03:00:19):
Things this goes back To Bill maher who. Admitted he,
Said I'm i'm out In. America i'm looking. AROUND i
do not See america in any sort of. DEPRESSION i
see in an economy that seems to be thriving and
seems to be picking up. Momentum stock market that, is you,
know a certainly where we would like to see it
(03:00:39):
based on some of the gloom to begin. With so you,
know hopefully this positive trend will. Continue and the weird
part is when you still have people that just they
think all this stuff is terrible and they can't just
stop and, say, hey you know, What i'm benefiting from this.
(03:01:01):
Too it goes back to it goes back to like
we've talked about this about, faith so and this is
not the case with all. Religions as we saw this
horrible story out of The congo, TODAY i mean, horrible
but but h and we'll touch on that. Briefly BUT
i know It's, christians so a lot of a lot
of the world won't. Care but, anyway but even if
(03:01:23):
you don't believe what we, believe, okay if you applied
the principles Of Jesus, christ the principles Of scripture on
the treatment of other, people, okay and the and the
way we're supposed to all. Live even if you reject
that and, SAY i don't believe that This god y'all
(03:01:45):
claim exists. EXISTS i don't believe that this Person jesus
was one hundred percent man and one hundred Percent. GOD
i don't believe he went to the, cross AND i
don't believe that he walks out of the. TOMB i
don't believe he is the resurrection in the life and
he could bring people back the dead and himself back
from the. DEAD i don't believe any of. That if
you still it's not your, thing if you still applied
(03:02:07):
these things to a, society it'd be a good place to.
Live it'd be a good place to. Live AND i
think it even, politically which is not near as, important
you can still. Go you, Know i've got some things
That i'm real passionate about, emotionally And i've got such
a heart for certain. Things but some of this, stuff
(03:02:30):
when it comes to the size of, government the, economy,
taxation good deals around the, world a strong military to
protect me WHEN i, sleep it's not a bad place to.
Live and you can still have your passion projects and
you can still stand up for the things you. Believe
(03:02:51):
but some of this stuff is not. Political it's just
beneficial to all of, us whether you have AN, r A,
d or an eye by your. Name so enjoy, it be. Thankful,
yeah don't try to tear it down because you're afraid
it might help a party stay in. Power, again the
next Round root For.
Speaker 5 (03:03:09):
America like we mentioned earlier on in this, show we.
Speaker 2 (03:03:12):
Could all be on the same team on that, one,
Right and you know, what and, then no matter what
your political view, is including AN r by your, name
if we try things that don't, work you got to
say that didn't. Work you. Know we none of us
can get into this thing that everything we do is
right and everything they do is. Wrong but sometimes it's
(03:03:32):
not A, d AN r or AN. I certain things just,
work you, Know and really no political party has a
claim to. It, really anyone who just could be wise
could make these things. Work and you've actually Seen democrats
in the past do some of these same things when
The Democratic party looked a lot different and they were.
(03:03:53):
Successful then, too there are some things that are just always,
successful no matter who gets the credit.
Speaker 1 (03:03:59):
For so there you.
Speaker 2 (03:04:01):
Go we'll be. Back, well look at anything that we've
left on the table this hour and then we'll get
you ready, together because if you're wrapping up with this this,
HOUR i mean we got to get you ready. Right,
okay hopefully you've been, Entertaining hopefully you had some. Fun
but there's more to, come and we thank you for
(03:04:21):
being with. Us more of The Rick Burgess show coming
up right after.
Speaker 1 (03:04:26):
This this is The Rick Burgess. Show in a world
(03:04:46):
that has gone. Nuts they are here too well to
point it. Up The Rick Burgess.
Speaker 2 (03:04:55):
Show, Okay, america thank you for being with. Us we
Ensure i've enjoyed our time together. Today i'm glad we
got a little more time left and let me hit
this sad story and then where we got some stuff
within the. SHOW i mentioned, it but you know we
(03:05:16):
need to be praying for these families in The. Congo
Pope leo was already condemned it. Rightfully so so here's
what happened in The. Congo and this is the thing
In speedy AND i were talking about this before the show.
Today you, know we we can't take for granted how
good we got. It you talk about devoted to the,
faith these people that you know their their worship Of,
(03:05:40):
christ can cost them their. Life are some of the
most devoted people you've ever, met if you've ever traveled
around the world and been have the the pleasure of
talking to people that their commitment To christ put their
life on the. Line when The, congo The Democratic republic Of,
congo THE un is reporting that there's at least forty
(03:06:00):
Nine christians that were killed and slaughtered by machete by
The islamic state there In. Uganda it was a rebel
group and they came into a group Of, christians forty
nine of them for, sure that were simply in a
prayer service and we're. Praying, uh and they were attacked
(03:06:23):
and all killed by. Machete. Wow AND i believe nine
children know among. Those, oh and then others for no
other reason than they devoted themselves To. Christ. Yeah and
others in that village, too there was a number of
them taking. Hostage they don't even know where they.
Speaker 13 (03:06:40):
Are.
Speaker 2 (03:06:41):
Yeah so that that's still going on all over the.
World there are some people that their faith In christ
does cost them. Something it'll cost, everybody but it cost
them their. Lives so in a much lighter, note you were,
saying we're gonna follow that with THIS i mean we.
DID i wasn't even GONNA i knew, it BUT i,
mean let's let's say you need to you need to mention,
(03:07:02):
it because you're not going to hear. That and that's
why on a lot of, place that's WHY i, thought,
well if if we don't mention, it none of the
other media sources will because it's not you, know they'd
want to give us the plight of something, else not
not those. People so so, anyway but so and also
as their brothers and sisters be praying over everybody, involved
(03:07:23):
there's still people alive that are fearing for their. Lives
and these are people that they loved that were.
Speaker 7 (03:07:27):
Killed so in a much, lighter much much much like
to say hello to my beautiful, wife WHO i believe
is listening right.
Speaker 2 (03:07:36):
Now, Hey, terry AND i.
Speaker 7 (03:07:38):
Got you, know And i'm sure y'all do, too BECAUSE
i see. Y'all sometimes your wife takes of, course and
sometimes it's the standard good, morning how you do, it
or it could be about the, day just the the,
initial the initial initial reach.
Speaker 2 (03:07:49):
Out you know a lot of, times, hey, honey here's
what here's what our day looks. Like you, KNOW i
always always pour my heart out to share on how
MUCH i love, her and she usually just so lovingly
and so JUST i, mean really moves. Me she'll give
me the thumbs up.
Speaker 7 (03:08:02):
Emoji, right, yeah, Yeah, hey don't forget we got river,
today things like.
Speaker 2 (03:08:07):
That, YEAH i get. Up wasn't sure about this. One
hey you hit me in the face last. Night What i'm,
like excuse? Me AND i came back And i'm, like
what are you talking? About? It just, said, hey you
hit me in the face last. NIGHT i, said please
walk that.
Speaker 7 (03:08:24):
Out not sure if you were slinging your arm or
hit me in the face because you were fighting. Something
but you hit me in the face and woke me.
Speaker 2 (03:08:34):
Up oh my. Gosh, well first of, all are your?
Friend are you're? Okay DID i Even?
Speaker 7 (03:08:39):
MARK i don't EVEN i don't even KNOW i did,
This and she, said, yeah obviously you didn't mean. To but,
yeah you were doing something in the middle of the,
night like you were fighting, something and you slung your
arm over and just popped me right in the. Face
do you recall a dream of any remember? Anything it
was not the TEXT i was. EXPECTING i hainting no.
Idea what what she's talking?
Speaker 2 (03:09:00):
About the same thing half to, me but at least
SAID i hollered. Out it was one night last. NIGHT
i don't think it was the last, night might have
been the other. Night but now that you've mentioned, that
i'd forgotten, that you, KNOW i don't EVEN i was
half asleep When i'm NOW i remember her, going what's
wrong with?
Speaker 1 (03:09:14):
You holler now?
Speaker 3 (03:09:17):
SOMETHING i.
Speaker 2 (03:09:20):
SAID i must have been dreaming something, weird Right, Freder,
Yeah And i've forgotten that until you just brought it,
up AND i remember her. NOW i wonder WHAT i
was doing she? Said did she say you threw your arms?
Out and then you said no way EVEN i loved were?
You were you over? Greeting where's my? WALLET i don't
(03:09:43):
know WHAT i was. Doing what CAN i have been?
DOING i DON'T i can't remember anything THAT i was? Dreaming? Running, yeah,
running kicked him? Feet uh well, sorry hun? Okay well
that Diod, yeah that was the. Text NOT i love?
(03:10:04):
You how you? Doing this was the. Text it was
just simply, This, hey you hit me in the face last.
Night oh dot DOT i had to Tell aaron she
went on a run.
Speaker 6 (03:10:17):
There it was like three nights in a row where
she's she was tone jabbing me with her toe and
the spot that you don't want to be?
Speaker 2 (03:10:23):
Jabbed oh, no why she got on over?
Speaker 6 (03:10:25):
There i'm facing away from, her if you know WHAT i.
Mean oh and three nights in a, ROW i wake
up with a toe, yay now towing me in the. Planet, yes,
yes in the, planet.
Speaker 8 (03:10:42):
My.
Speaker 6 (03:10:42):
Goodness and then ALSO i had to talk To ruby
about her waking up techniques because the other NIGHT i
was sleeping kind of on my back with my hand
over my head and she went straight from my. Armpit,
y'all just jabbed her hand AND i wake up and
she's smiling about, it so she knew what she was.
Speaker 3 (03:10:58):
Doing, Really AND i.
Speaker 5 (03:10:59):
Said, please just just pats on the shoulder would be greatly, appreciated,
please BECAUSE i thought it was like a spider or
something in my Arm.
Speaker 6 (03:11:06):
Yeah, yeah nobody wants last question about. SPIDERS i was
getting in my van this morning and the sweet. One,
YEAH i, know men don't run in the. Rain AND
i think we've mentioned this. Before do man freak out
when they walk through a spider?
Speaker 2 (03:11:19):
Web? Apparently so, yeah, okay, apparently especially if you never
saw it coming and it's all of you and you
can't believe it still on.
Speaker 6 (03:11:29):
Me it was still on me in the van on
the way, here And i'm like coming into the studio
like pulling invisible hairs off, me like Please.
Speaker 2 (03:11:34):
God. Yeah have you ever have you ever had not
only it hits, you the web hits, you but you
felt just a little bump just from the. Spider, yes,
yeah from the spider two weeks he kind of bounces
off your arm just he's in. There, yeah, yes security security,
flags like you're fighting a. Ghost it's do y'all always
THINK i always think. This do you always think the
(03:11:55):
spider that was in the web is on your back? Collar?
Speaker 5 (03:11:57):
YES i always think that's what it's hanging out under my.
Speaker 2 (03:12:01):
Man, YEAH i was Telling RICK i was coming in
the other morning. Here you, know it's scary by the,
way and all of a sudden in the woods at
the across the park lot starts going and like something's
coming through the trees right by his behind his. Van
you know, what it was. Sprinklers WHILE i was standing,
(03:12:21):
there that's, scary and it sounded like something was coming
through the woods out towards. ME i, mean, no you
understand how loud it. Was nobody and then and then
the sprinklers close to, us came on. You it's almost
like that feeling like In Jurassic park the first. Time
they can just tear it sound and just you can't
see the dinosaur yet and you hear the. Trees, yeah, no,
(03:12:41):
no if you if you're walking up there like like
we do in the middle of the, night. Becus it
is just the wee hours of the. Morning it's really
middle of the night and like something that normally wouldn't
be that. Loud everything's loud because nothing else is going.
On AND i actually jumped a little. Bit oh those
those those sprinklers firing. Up it sounds like a creature.
Coming can't get your card to.
Speaker 6 (03:13:04):
Work ruby dropped a toy under the deck two days,
ago and SO i go crawl in under the deck
to get, it AND i ran into a spider web
so big THAT i didn't break.
Speaker 2 (03:13:16):
It it just backed up and it stayed.
Speaker 1 (03:13:18):
Put you know What i'm.
Speaker 2 (03:13:19):
Saying it's so strong that it stayed.
Speaker 5 (03:13:21):

through before and four. WHEELERS i can feel. It oh
Like i've got a. Cap it's so. THICK i could
feel the game back. There i'm, LIKE i just went
