Another Rick Burgess show is rolling America shouting we are ready.
As you heard. The gang is all here, Speedy, Greg
and Adler, and we could not be more thrilled to

(01:59):
be hanging out with all of you again. Today the
National Day of Prayer in America. Today, a little reminder
We've got George Washington's prayer for our country. And when
you hear that some of you out there may be
shocked that a prayer like that was actually led by
the president. So so of course that's probably a pretty
good indicator since he was the first one, and we'll

(02:21):
probably established a standard there that nobody seemed to have
an issue with. But anyway, so we'll and the Constitution
was finished, so so anyway, we'll we'll talk about that
going forward today as America is praying for the country
hopefully and what we could use it all across the
Fruited Plain today, So we'll talk about that a little bit.

(02:42):
We got a number of updates, one of them making
us extremely nervous because we were all raised by authoritative dads.
This one for you and me, Greg will be really
close to home since it's coach boy. We got the
Atlanta Falcons update so and bless their heart, they didn't

(03:03):
have anything to do with you. No, they didn't. So
do you say the Falcons defensive quarters defensive coordinators named
Jeff Ulbrich, Yes, yes, Uh so it was his son
and a buddy that pranked Shadeur Sanders. Uh there's an update,
and we got an update today. And have you ever

(03:26):
been in trouble with your parents when you were young
and dumb, and you thought, well, the worst of the
storm is over. Yeah, oh yeah, Dad found out I
did something stupid. He's mad about it. He's he's called me.
I'm getting punished, and you think you're out of it,
and then another shoe drops, uh huh, and today it

(03:50):
is ugly. Can I tell you that one thing that
that just makes things worse is when you do something
stupid and it embarrasses your your family. That's enough. But
then all of a sudden, your dad and where he works,
they pay a price to You've cost your dad's company. Yeah,

(04:10):
the people who write in checks. You've cost him a
lot of money because because you're stupid and and think
about this, dang the luck, you're gonna pull a crank prank,
but you do it on the one guy that everybody
is looking at. Yeah, the top story of the entire draft.
You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
You did.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
These other ones that we hear about, they're not making
that big a deal. I'm sure they'll get fine too,
But this is the number one story of the three
days of the draft, and that's the guy that you
prank called. So it just brings it even that much.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
And then to the dad, he's just got an open
eyepad on the kitchen counter. He doesn't think that somebody
is trying to get it at home. Why would he
think that if you don't know the story. You know,
he's just have the contact lists of all your draft
you know, picks and ugly new cell phone numbers, and
the NFL is handed down some fines and it's not pretty.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yeah, we'll we'll come back.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
You would look to your point, Rick, you think I've
apologize to the Sanders family. We contacted them, I've gotten
in trouble from Dad. Okay, okay, man, Man said, I'm sorry.
You know, we've told the Falcons. They're like, okay, coach,
You're not going to be punished. But man, and then
now the NFL hits you with a fine, You're like,
oh boy.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Do you think of course, I know the kid who
did this is at college and as far as he's concerned,
he never wants to come home again ever. But I
might be wrong, might be forced to come home now,
I bet, But so what do you think is worse? There?
You you you read it in the headlines, and then
you wait on dad's call. Your mom calls you and says,

(05:47):
do you know what has happened to your dad because
of you? There's probably that too, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
Especially when your dad has to have a press conference,
which we have audio of where he's having to he's
having to apologize.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
When you pull a prank that forces your dad to have,
you know, have to get up in front of everybody
and tell what happened and apologize and also stroke a check. Yeah. Yeah,
and also takes the high road.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
He doesn't He says it was my saying, but he
says we are to blame, like I'm you know, I
guess I shouldn't.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Well, it is going to be a breath refresh air
of someone taking responsibility for the actions of their kid, uh,
and not apologizing for their kid and not trying to
justify what their kid did. That is going to be
a breath refresh air.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
But I can't help but put myself in the kids
position because I was a person who you know, I
did things that embarrassed my family and I didn't cost
them this kind of money. Uh. But uh, but I
know what it's like to be on be for your
family to be very disappointed. Well, let me ask you this,
what about the kid there's that, and it's a horrible
horrifighting for the kid that was actually doing the call.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Yeah, I'm sure, and I I haven't heard about him,
but I'm sure his parents are right there with They
don't have to.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Have a press conference, but I'm sure if he was
willing to do the call. Though, do you think his
parents are asthoritative as this guy? Because this guy, there
was something in this guy that said, well, we'll can't
do it. But I ain't gonna be the guyther he's
the one, but he's the one that stole the numb understood,
But you gotta have a gerald ks M saying because

(07:18):
the coaches saidden you see how I'm I mean, I'm
not clearing. No, he's not clear.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
At that point he got nervous and said, oh gosh,
I can't believe I did this.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
This is real door on the line. It's too late.
He's not clear because you said he's the one who
brought the number from his dad's iPad. Yeah, so he
is worse than this. Yeah, but but I just wonder
what kind of situation, Like you said, the caller's.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
In, give me my channel, Rick as soon as soon
as old Rich's boy so heard this. He ran out
of the room, you know, as soon as he is
he heard, like, Oh my gosh, this is real, that
that is actually him.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
How you doing you, man? I'm good. Been waiting on you.
It's been along waiting man, for sure. And I'll take
you right here.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
Man.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Yeah, let's legendary. But you're gonna have to wait a
little bit longer. Now, Okay, there you go. What does
that mean? Yeah, he didn't know why he said that part. Yeah, confused,
it's gonna be legendary. Oh, you're throwing his brand in there,

(08:22):
that legendary thing. That may hurt more than been waiting
on y'all. They're both pretty bad.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Such a big party.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Oh my gosh, all right, we can come back. Wow,
what has the NFL done? And we're gonna hear a dad?
I have to get up and take the mic. He
handles himself great. But all I can think about is, Yeah, I'm.

Speaker 8 (08:49):
I'm looking at this year at Cooper de Jine or
however you say his name. He got prank last year.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Oh yeah, these Franks need to stop.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
It's who is prank on this one? Yep, it's Frank.
Every year the number one story of the drag.

Speaker 9 (09:01):
Yes is the Rick Burchase Show. Let's treats, no apology,

(09:23):
the Rick Burchase Show.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
There we go, America. Thanks for being with us, loving
some of you that are just now joining us from
all over on the Text Nation. Thank you very much.
Good to know you there. Okay, so let's let's unpack it.
I do want to update you on one little quick

(09:51):
programming note. Adler and I and the team. We're aware
that yesterday we had a glitch in the audio on
only archive of yesterday's Wednesday Bible Study. We apologize for
any inconvenience that that cost. We did not catch it
when it went out. It sounded like it was fine,
but there was definitely a glitch in it. And Adler

(10:13):
has fixed that. So if you were having trouble on
the audio archive yesterday of the Wednesday Bible Study, that
problem has been resolved and you can go back and
listen to that on your own time. So we apologize
for that, but it was just it just happens. Things
like that happened the old tech world.

Speaker 8 (10:30):
Yeah, and all the links that were sent out yesterday,
are those are still good?

Speaker 10 (10:35):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Really? So I don't have to go back and change.

Speaker 8 (10:37):
Okay, everything's fixed on every platform, so.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
If I click on it, no matter when I received it,
it's right now.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Yes, sir, oh I like that.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Thank you, buddy, thanks forgetting that.

Speaker 8 (10:47):
Sorry about that.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Well, it happened, all right, So y'all want to do it.
Here we go. So the NFL yesterday, just when you
think that you're you're trying to get past something that
you've upset your family over the prankster that pranked Shadure
Sanders textures. You're saying it. Greg said it, speed, he
said it. We're all saying it. This does happen sometimes.

(11:10):
But this particular guy is the son of a defensive
coordinator for one of the NFL franchises, and he picks
the wrong guy, the guy, as Greg said that he's
being covered wall to wall twenty four to seven on
the draft. So his choice of person to prank, bad choice.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
But also great choice because it was the best person
to prank.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
Well, now when he gets his when he finally and
all this is over and he's at the Prank Awards banquet, yes,
now it will help him get an award that he
picture your Sanders right, you're right on that, adverg. Yeah,
if you're going for you know the effect of the prank? Right,
you went the correct route? Yes, that's your goal.

Speaker 11 (11:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
Now in this clip, the figures are not mentioned, but
go ahead and give him those figures. The NFL has
fined the Falcons, who had nothing to do with this, right,
two and fifty thousand dollars. Coach Olbrich himself one hundred
thousand dollars in response to the situation. So you think
that's bad, good night, Here comes a six figure fine.

(12:10):
The NFL said the fines were because of failing to
prevent the disclosure of confidential information distributed to the club
in advance of the NFL draft. So Olbrich is being
fine for not protecting data that was confidential. Now, you
wouldn't think you had to do that on your on

(12:30):
your kitchen counter at home. You wouldn't think you would
have you No, I mean.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Good night, You feel safe about it? How many people
work from home and do things from the house. You
don't expect strangers coming through? No, you don't.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Now it is interesting here, boy, that's right. The audio
and video that we're about to play. Coach does not
appear to be crying. It's just maybe he's got some sinuses,
so he sniffs a couple of times. So don't think
he's teared up and crying, but he's very uncomfortable and
douske full responsibility for you bring my channel down.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
This is gonna be Adler here, all right, So once
again I want you all to know before y'all hear
these words. And I keep putting myself in the place
of the sun because unfortunately I can relate to him. Okay,
sadly at twenty one he just cost his dad's company
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars and he just cost
his dad one hundred thousand dollars. Please don't and he's

(13:27):
embarrassed unbelievably. Yeah, So here is Dad now responding.

Speaker 12 (13:32):
First of all, I like to publicly apologize to Shador
and the Sanders family for what occurred. Second of all,
I want to publicly apologize to mister Blank, Terry Foutino,
Reean Morris.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
And the entire farms organization.

Speaker 12 (13:48):
My actions, my actions have not protecting confidential data were inexcusable.
My son's actions were absolutely inexcusable, and for that we
are both deeply sorry. The NFL has taken action, and
I fully respect the punishment. We take full responsibility my

(14:09):
son and myself, and we will not be appealing the
fund in any way going forward, I promised my son
and I will work hard to demonstrate we are better
than this. Again, I'm deeply sorry for our actions. Yeah,
obviously not happy and shocked, and so I made the

(14:31):
Falcons aware of the situation, and then our next course
of action was to try to get a hold of
the Sanders family so we could apologize in person, which
we were.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
Able to do, and.

Speaker 12 (14:44):
The great the Sanders family, should Er and Coach Sanders
were amazingly gracious, more gracious than they needed to be in.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
A moment like this. They've been challenging, but you know, we.

Speaker 12 (14:56):
Brought this upon ourselves, you know, and the fact that
I didn't protect the data well and and my son
did something. Obviously he has great amount of regret.

Speaker 13 (15:08):
I don't know what to do.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Hey, Rick, you're sixty. You're not in trouble.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
I'm not the pranks.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
You didn't do the prank. Why do I feel like
I did the prank?

Speaker 3 (15:18):
I feel like I'm in trouble. Yes, I'm not involved
in this terrible, terrible, terrible, horrible, horrible horrible.

Speaker 5 (15:27):
I mean, and you can just see it, I know
if you heard it in his voice for those you
can only hear, but to see it, you're just he's
just like.

Speaker 9 (15:36):
Man, what a handle? Cole?

Speaker 5 (15:39):
Now, Now, I wonder how long it's gonna take that,
because you know, part of the punishment is you're gonna
pay every dime.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
I'll get fined back. That's gonna be hard. That'll be
you know, when I'm twenty one, if I knew that
I now had a dead of one hundred thousand dollars
to get started with. Yeah, yeah, and I don't regret it.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Here already does he say, oh no, what have I done?

Speaker 14 (15:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Well, apparently he put out a post on his Instagram
Sunday apologizing now, and I know we read some of
his apology to which might have been the same thing.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
I don't know where. He just said he was childish
and he's sure he's sorry and all this all right,
So how long do you wait? I mean, he's a
kid in college. I don't know their situation about how
they set up their kid. I don't know if he
has a job. Maybe he does, okay, but even when
kids have jobs that don't pay a whole lot. They're

(16:27):
in college and they're learning to manage money and all that.
Can you ever now call and say, hey, Mom and Dad, I'm.

Speaker 9 (16:34):
A little low on case.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Yeah, could you put your money out of here? Now
you've got one hundred thousand dollars dead?

Speaker 5 (16:42):
Wow, you're right, Rick, Because like if you have a
college kid, a lot of times you'll give them a budget.
It could be sure they have a weekly budget or
a monthly budget, and if they run out of money
before that next one hits, then they're just out of money.
They got a budget, you know. And so you know,
the calls come from time to time. Normally a secret

(17:04):
text to mom. Sure, Hey, I'm I'm running low.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
You know you can't, you know?

Speaker 10 (17:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Text that now. Okay, So people just add that to
your tab, buddy, text nation. Gregg's asking you and me,
we're in this same situation. Dad's the coach. What would
he say, Oh, good grief, been ugly. There'd be a
lot of hummingbird truck load. We'd get the stupid speeches,

(17:30):
I promise him. Yeah, he'd run the list and he'd
say something, what's that thing you always said? Oh No,
he'd probably give us the neck tie deal. Yeah, we'd
have a red ring run her neck. Well, great, kits
what he would say?

Speaker 5 (17:41):
I know he would Yeah, neither kid probably say well,
when they can walk again, they're gonna get up.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
And what was that thing you always said about breaking
your clock? I never understood that one. Oh your plate,
your plate?

Speaker 10 (17:51):
That was it.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, he's not providing anything else for you. Oh that's right,
I'm breaking your plate. Well, I bet we would get
that one. No doubt we'd get that one. Yeah, yeah, okay,
you're right, you had the falcons dead. I feel like
I'm in trouble. We didn't do this.

Speaker 8 (18:10):
Now, we had nothing to do with it.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
We're not involved in that. I feel I'm sweating. No, no,
what does he major in the sun? Does a good
job coming up?

Speaker 11 (18:19):
You know?

Speaker 3 (18:19):
Shadera was actually right. It's his legendary when it comes
to prank. It is he's so his statement is true.

Speaker 9 (18:25):
It is.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
He's majoring in business at Barry College.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Business.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Yes, he's a business major.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
He's been business.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
He should have minded his own business.

Speaker 10 (18:34):
We walked past that iPad.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
His first business is now three hundred and fifty thousand
dollars a day. We'll be right back.

Speaker 9 (18:44):
This is the Rick Burgess show.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Well, Blade's TV Family, we are getting together and we
welcome Nicole Shanahan. Her show, Back to the People is
now part of the Blaze family. And of course she's
still a Valley attorney, entrepreneur, advocate who spent years fighting
for transparency, freedom and real change, but been a major
voice and the Make America Health Healthy Again movement and

(19:10):
work alongside Robert F. Kennedy Junior, pushing government that actually
works for the people, not against the people, not just
for the elites. So if you'd like to find out
more her brand new show, as I told you, it's
called Back to the People. When she digs into the
conversations at mainstream media, of course, is ignoring going to
bring together experts, activists, everyday people to tackle tough issues,

(19:32):
share untold stories, and find real solutions rooted in truth
and humanity. If you would like to get a sneak
peek of Nicole Shanahan before she hits Blade's TV on
her YouTube, you can just search Nicole Shanahan and you
can see what she's already up to. So Blade's TV
family says, welcome to Nicole Shanahan and excited to have

(19:54):
you part of the team.

Speaker 9 (20:04):
Looted with Catheene and ready for another hour. This is
the Ricky R Shoes.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
We're digging it, having a good time, hanging out, loving it,
loving it, loving it, loving it. Okay, So Mother's Day here,
it comes coming up on maybe eleventh. So do you
have a mom like Greg and I do, that is
independent but is living on her own now And you're thinking,

(20:34):
you know, want mom to be safe, and maybe she
doesn't have a security system or maybe it's not a
great security system, and you were like, you know what,
I'd like to have the peace of mind and give
that to mom as well. Simply safe dot com slash
Big Vox is ready and right now we're talking about
fifty percent off on a brand new system. So if

(20:56):
you want to find that link, you can go to
rick burgesshow dot com. It's right there under sponsors, or
you can go to simplysafe dot com slash Big Box
and you'll get the fifty percent off as well. And
that is with one of their monitoring agreements. Now you're
gonna you're gonna want that in the first month of
that is gonna be free, and so they're going to
be you know, looking at the property in real time

(21:19):
twenty four to seven. They can actually even interact if
anybody comes on the property, okay, or they see a
carbon monoxide league, or they see a medical emergency, or
they see a fire or a flood. See, there's other
things beyond you know, break in. So and you're not
gonna be dealing with contracts. You're not be dealing with
you know, hidden fees. They got a sixty day money

(21:39):
back guarantee. You can probably just install it for mom,
or she might be able to install it herself, as
she's super savvy. They'll help you if you need that,
but that's another cost you won't have to deal with.
So there's no safe like simply safe dot com, slash,
big vox. Give your family or give mama that peace
of mind that comes with feeling secure. Okay, so we're updated.

(22:03):
We are on that particular story. We know now that
the coach at Atlanta who left his epad open for
you know, and you feel bad that somebody's being fined
for being careless with information. And really the only people
that he exposed information to were members of his own family.

(22:25):
You would think you could trust them with it. So
but anyway, because he's not new to the NFL. No,
I mean, so his son grew up with his dad
being a coach. Yeah sure, well, I mean, you know, choice,
I'm in college, I'm twenty one. Not the most brilliant
stage of life now, that little weird awkward. I'm coming
out of ten years, I'm early into my twenties. I'm

(22:46):
not quite able to handle the responsibilities, but I'm learning. Look,
I do stupid things.

Speaker 5 (22:52):
He wanted to be the boy to all of his buddies. Well,
he wanted to be the man, you know what I mean, like, hey,
yang a bleeve, what I got because think of them?
And somehow on the text brought it up to so
they released the video. No, no, Shador was streaming. Apparently,
what I understood is that he was what he's streaming

(23:17):
that side they released it. Yeah, I guess, I don't.
I don't know what they put that out on. I
just know that the way that was made public is
that Shador was streaming his party of.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
Somebody released the video. This video we're watching. Where did
that come from from?

Speaker 12 (23:34):
That?

Speaker 8 (23:34):
Well, you've got I mean, you've got the kid, the
coach's son, the kid that leaked the number. Then you
got the pranker who's making the actual call, and then
you got a third guy who's like, I got to
record this going down. And I'm sure that third guy
who was recording it he posted it somewhere, probably Snapchat
or something.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
Aren't right. Well, so we now know where everything has fallen,
and we don't know what's going on with the kid
in this in this family and how there he's going
to be punishing all that. That's none of our business.
But we do know that three hundred and fifty thousand
dollars worth of fines two hundred and fifty to the Falcons,
one hundred to the coach. We know that's real. Mm hmm,

(24:13):
that's real. That is well.

Speaker 5 (24:14):
I think I think the NFL had to do a
couple of things here. First of all, they had to
had to go, hey, we got to the fine has
to be harsh enough to where we we don't let.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
This hast time. You closing laptop?

Speaker 5 (24:25):
Yeah, yeah, that kind of thing, even though you're at
home and I don't know, Greg you mentioned earlier. I'm
sure there'll be fines to other organizations that now. I
don't know how there would be though, because this one,
Rick and you haven't mentioned it. The reason the Falcons
are being fined to whatever cause this, this prank has
to be tied to an employee of.

Speaker 3 (24:44):
The organization, A little coach A little different.

Speaker 5 (24:47):
If I'm just you know, if I'm just old Greg
Burgess and i want to prank somebody, then then I'm
not with an organization.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Yeah. The other two people we heard getting pranked Isaiah
Bonds and then tied end from the Colts. Yeah, I
don't hear nobody getting charged with anything. So so, and
then of course we have the UFL player who slapped somebody.
So a lot of finds going out and find will
get fined for that. You will, so so anyway we
probably should. Yeah, we'll, we'll. We'll continue to unpack that.

(25:18):
You know, I start thinking things like things that I
got involved with that, you know, lady, I will warn him.
Don't assume that enough time has passed that you can
laugh about this at the dinner table. You want to
let your parents lead on that. Yeah, just right, like
when you're sitting there at thirty one, you think enough
times passed and you want to yuck it up a

(25:38):
little bit about costing dad and that then I know,
ten years I'm not sure. Let the parents lead. Let
the first time they bring it up and laugh about it,
then you can join in. Be careful. I thought I
could bring up, you know, the incident with the there
didn't cost you by any money, but it costs people
a cake. I thought I could bring that up and
we could finally talk about that. And I thought plenty

(26:01):
of time had passed. It has and she got mad
all over again. So so you don't like, just be
just be careful. That's what be careful on that, all right? So, uh,
we've put ourselves in so many different shoes on this.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
Right.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
You got the son who realizes he messed up. Now
he's got to call dad.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
Okay, but then don't forget coach Dad has to call
has to call the falcons and think about the falcons.
If it was the head coach or somebody in the
front office, think about their day and they weren't expecting
that call and say, man, this is this is Jeff.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
Hey, what's up? Man? Hey, I got some news for you.
I don't know if you now be the dad. Now
be the dad.

Speaker 5 (26:40):
That's what I'm talking about, that he had to call
the fal be the dad dealing with your son. Oh yeah, yeah,
that's side. But then you got to, like you said,
I notified the falcons of the of the situation. That
call good gracious. I can't imagine that call you did.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
What that was your son? Oh? Yeah, that was? That
was Jack's. Really do you think the dad found out
he's video? Do you think the dad found out from
this video? We keep talking about who released a video
of them in the room. Did the dad find out
before the kid admitted it? U?

Speaker 5 (27:11):
It just said in the story he felt he found
out after the draft, So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Yeah. Well, people on the text line are saying, please
tell the cake story. We've told that before, but it
was it compared to this, It's nothing, it's nothing compared
to this. There was a there was a homeack room
and a homemack teacher in our high school, and I
apparently when a teacher would have a baby or something,

(27:38):
they would make a cake baby shower. But they'd make
it in the home mack room, which I thought people
make that at home or something, But they made it
in the home mak room because all the ingredients in
the kitchen was there, and they left the cake out
getting ready for the after school baby shower, I guess
in the teacher's lounge or something, and me and some

(27:58):
buddies of mine ate the cake. And we went in
and cut us all the piece and ate it. And
and so then the teacher comes in ready for the shower,
and you know, a large cake, A large portion of
the cake is gone, and we had eaten it. And
so no one ever found out who ate it. And
my mother, who worked in the office, was furious that

(28:22):
some person would do this. And of course, even in
a brilliant move, I was helping find the person who
did it, trying to help the teacher out. So I
was looking for myself, which is the ultimate uh it
as far as security. And so we let a lot
of years pass. We were grown men, and we were
sitting around thinking we would now tell mom about it.

(28:44):
She'd been long retired, and we thought we were in
the clear. I don't remember if you brought it up,
Greg or how it happened. She just came no, no,
she came in telling you about it, brought back up,
I mean, and we were adults, but you remember when
she came to the dinner table that night, and you
knew I had eaten me a good slice. Yeah, and
she said, y'all not gonna believe what happened to you?

(29:05):
Surprised And I was like, who would do such a thing. Yeah,
I don't remember what brought it up as we were adults,
but she never heard it until then. No, And I thought,
I thought we're about to have a really big laugh here,
and she got mad all over again. She got mad
not long ago we brought it back up, I know.
And I'm talking about like in this year.

Speaker 10 (29:21):
I know.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
I think at one time she tried to ground me
and I was like, forty you, mom, I'm sorry, you
can't ground me at forty Yeah. I don't even live
where you live. You know what do you? I got
to sit in my room at the house I'm paying for.

Speaker 6 (29:35):
So.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
So it was, but that's something that TV did that
inconvenience people for a baby shower. It did. Was it
the right thing to do when you're seventeen eighteen years old?
Because I think it was my senior year. No it wasn't.
But it didn't cause this kind of damage. No, this
is the this is the walking dog of Franks gone bad.
Let me ask you about this. Probably can't top it?

(29:56):
Can you write? This is a tax question.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Can you write and NFL finds all it goes because
the NFL finds go to charity and former player health
Like you know, I don't know if.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
You get I think they get credit for donating the charity.
Probably not you not Okay, I'm just thinking if if
that write us off? Yeah, because he wrote his check
to the valks O the NFL. To the NFL, they're
not a five one three, Well it goes to the
Professional Athletes Foundation. Okay, Now maybe and you know, I
just I don't know. All right, that's okay, that might

(30:29):
be a five on one C three if you probably not.

Speaker 8 (30:32):
If you're if you're fine for on the field action,
they can deduct that as a business expense, okay, But
if it's off the field violations, you can individently.

Speaker 9 (30:41):
Here's the Rick Burchers Show. America leaps well every night
just knowing these four men are on the air, The
Rick Burchish.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Show, Thank you America for being with us on a
brand new Rick Burgess Show, looking ahead to tomorrow. You've
all been asking for it and it's finally happening. Scott
Garowski returns this debut on The Rick Burgers Show. What's
eating Scott Garowski tomorrow on the program for those of

(31:22):
you that are fans of that, So make a note
of that. All right, So guys, a couple other things
to look at. We have a pretty active weekend coming up.
As far as Themanchurch dot com. You can go there.
A couple of things going on this weekend. Blake Prime
and I headed to Omaha, Nebraska, will be at West

(31:42):
Side Church there. Gathering starts tomorrow night. Blake and I
will speak on Saturday and then put them back into
the small groups if you want to be there for that.
Find those details at themanchurch dot com under events. And
Scott Garowski will be in Mobile, Alabama, and I see
them on the text line today saying they're ready. He'll
be there for their next Man Church five o'clock local

(32:04):
time at Westmobile Baptist Church. Those details also at the
manchurch dot com under events. So that's just all about
this weekend. So in speedy are you are you? Are
you doing anything with the stadiums again this weekend? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (32:16):
Yeah, they have a three o'clock game Sunday after there
we go uh uh, and so I'll be there for that.
And just added C and D Home Solutions, a sponsor
for our flagship station. They are asking me to come
be at their booth Friday or Saturday night six to
eight pm. There's a Magic City wine fest. They have

(32:37):
got a booth, a little drinking, they know, they just
have a booth set up there. And so I'll be
at their booth hanging out from from six to eight
pm Central. If you're in that area and you're going
to that, be looking for me at their booth.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Now, I know you come from a Nazarene background. Is
that correct?

Speaker 11 (32:52):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (32:53):
So do all We're not going to be drinking at
their booth. Do y'all do grape juice or wine? Grape juice? Okay,
I'll just check it. I didn't know, all right, So
and then sayday Sunday. It's Sunday afternoon, three o'clock, okay,
you know stays two and two, three and two okay,

(33:13):
three and two. Uh, here's an email, guys, where are you?
Where are you gonna just and I'm just gonna do
one because it's not a I don't think it reaches
a vox verdict, but discussion cherry uh hay hay bird
hay burge. And I think this stands along. This is

(33:34):
this thing. Sometimes when people ask us from some advice,
they ask us, uh, this is not quite a vox
verdict to me, As I said at I think we
just discussed because it's it's too complicated. It's not clean
enough for us to say, yeah, this is right, Yes
this is wrong. So here it is. I hope you
guys can help me out here. This is from the
wife Terry. We have a finished garage. Does anybody know

(33:58):
what a stumped ceiling is?

Speaker 10 (34:01):
Do not?

Speaker 3 (34:02):
S t O M P E D ceiling? Do not? Oh? Yeah,
the stomped ones a stumped ceiling? Anybody know what that is?
It was It's hard to do. I'll tell you that
that I'm trying to stamped. So you know when Greg
fell through stamped. Do you think she's just a typo?
Is there something called a stamp ceiling?

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Things like I think stomped?

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Is Is that a thing?

Speaker 10 (34:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:23):
Uh my mom used to do this all the time,
but she never called it stomped.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
A stamp ceiling might be like I would think people
are saying that stamped is right, that this must be
a typo. I know so little about this, I thought
maybe stumped was right. I don't know it's what it's
what the email says.

Speaker 10 (34:40):
Say.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
It's like a mop painted ceiling. Yeah, oh, I know
the ones that with the swirl of Okay, all right.

Speaker 8 (34:46):
She's I think it is stomped, by the way, is
it okay? Well stamped? Oh you can do stamp too.
I'm seeing stamped and stomp.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Okay, so they're both. They're both real textured. Bottom line
is she said to have this ceiling finished in the garage.
It cost me seven hundred and fifty uh to get
it done. I've been waiting ten years. What to get
this garage the way I like it? That one in
the middle one I'm familiar with. My husband just bought
a griddle top grill. We like those that he keeps

(35:16):
in the garage. So we have the griddle in the garage.
We have the new stump ceiling painted. Seven hundred and
fifty bucks. She did get that done, yes, wife, wife,
been waiting ten years. Okay. I have asked him to
move the grill completely out of the garage when he's
using it, for sure. Oh yeah, you don't roll it

(35:37):
out and use it and then roll it back in.
You got to roll it out. But he continues to
grill just inside the garage doors. Is my request unreasonable
because because she's saying it's damaging her ceiling. Now I
got smoke going up on a new and fifty dollars
under a cover.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
Yeah, I know he probably wants to be in the
shade when he's grilling. But got to come up with something.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
It was open, like just to you know, I had
some bo time, I mean, or you know how they
had the backyard things where it looks sharp. Yeah, but
I'm not going in the garage.

Speaker 13 (36:09):
No.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
Now, I do have some neighbors, like you have some
grills or some areas where it just stays there and
that's where you grill. But I have some neighbors that
they keep in the garages, but they.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
Roll it out and then and then they grill. Carry's
husband's not rolling it out. Yeah, you got to roll
it out. Is it damaging the ceiling or not? Or
she just saying there's the potential, she doesn't like it.
She she is it damaged, it didn't like it, or
is going it ain't hurting the ceiling. Well, that's the
reason why I didn't go to a vox verdict because see,
there's so many things. We don't know about this, right, Yeah,
but I think if if if your wife is saying,

(36:41):
I just got the ceiling done. I've been waiting ten
years for this. It costs us money. The griddle just
simply go keep in the garage because it's not in
a fixed position like you're talking. Man, roll it out
into the driveway or whatever. Cook and then roll it
back and he's still staying right under that lid. So
smokes hitting the new ceiling. And she didn't like it.

(37:02):
She was she absolutely didn't like it. But then what
you want to say, I won't to know if it's
damaging anything. Well, Greg, what do you think her request
is unreasonable? Either way? That unreasonable? I know I don't
think it's unreasonable. Do you find yourself want to hear
from Terry's husband and why he wants to move on out? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (37:16):
I mean I think it's reasonable for her to go, Hey,
would you do me a favor If you start to
see that it's damaging the ceiling, can you roll it
out just a little further?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
And like you said, it may not be bothering now,
but years as it stacks up, you may look up
one day and go, you know what, I should have
pushed that out when I was using it. Can I
tell you where I have a little bit of and
this is where this is where it gets weird for me.
I find myself a little bit in awe of Terry's husband. Yeah,

(37:44):
I think my wife on something like that could make
me miserable enough that I just moved the griddle out there.
And I don't know that I die on this hill.
And I'll be honest, it sounds like she said he's
he's pretty close to being out anyway. Yeah, he gets right.

Speaker 5 (37:56):
Just I'm telling you it has to be all about
the sun and stuff. Something out there bugs.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Yes, Mosquito. Some something's got Terry's husband where he won't
get out from for some reason. But do y'all agree?
It seems like, I don't know, not unreasoned, you know,
I think about heels that you down because every time
he get uses the griddle, Now, his wife's gonna make
him miserable about it, because.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
She's gonna be a cold dinner.

Speaker 8 (38:19):
It's gonna be a cold shoulder at that dinner every
time you use it just to wheel it outside.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
Yeah, yeah, So I don't know why he is dying
on this hill. And she's asking, does my request seem unreasonable?

Speaker 8 (38:32):
Because that grease, I mean, if you look, look in
your kitchen, look look look up because I mean over time,
that grease gets up on and up and in there.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
But what if we go I'm gonna make a compromise.
If it's raining and we're wanting to grow, Okay, if
it's not raining, I will push it out. Yes, I
tell you what he's trying to establish, and that maybe
he's a big fellow and or you know, got him big. Well,
I'm just saying, and what he's doing, he's listen, he

(39:02):
can feel summer coming and he's trying to establish his
ground right now because he don't want to be out
in there. No, it's tough. Yeah, it's tough on that
rail when you've got the heat coming at you from
the top. And yeah, some people say that the further
he moves it from the beer fridge, the harder goods. Now,
that's true.

Speaker 14 (39:18):
The longer walk.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Think about that.

Speaker 8 (39:19):
Once you're out of the garage, you know, you don't
technically get to have garage beers.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
That I'm gonna I'm gonna say it, and I don't
know all the details, but my first reaction is I
don't think that request is unreasonable. N I think that
it's a common ground. I think we can be okay
to this.

Speaker 9 (39:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
Well, I just want to take a minute to talk
about Blaze TV again with you, because I know you
get to the point things are going well and you
feel like, hey, we're winning, and that's a good feeling.
I'm glad the conservative point of view seems to be
taking hold. There's a lot of momentum. We're kind of,
you know, debunking some of the false narrative from the left.

(40:01):
But don't get to the point where you start thinking, hey,
this is over.

Speaker 9 (40:06):
Okay, Hey we did it.

Speaker 3 (40:07):
That's a mistake. I mean, the fight is nowhere near over.
You think that they're just going to give this ground
up and not keep fighting for it. That's why you
need Blaze TV to kind of cut through all the
false narratives, all the muck out there. It's a home
for some of the strongest, smartest voices and conservative medium
people who tell it like it is, ask the tough

(40:28):
questions that you're not going to see the mainstream media touch,
and they're not afraid to challenge the narrative and on
either side of the political fence. So if you'd like
to find out more about subscribing to Blaze TV, it's
more than content, it's a movement. People who think for themselves,
speak boldly, refuse to be silenced by big tech. So

(40:50):
go to BlazeTV dot com slash Rick, Blaze TV dot
com slash rick, and go ahead and save yourself twenty
bucks off the annual plan. Don't lose ground now it's
the time to do it. BlazeTV dot com slash rick.
Add this to your arsenal Blaze TV, Unfiltered, Unafraid on demand.

Speaker 4 (41:25):

Speaker 4 (41:43):
Buckle up, America.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
It's time for the show.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
Welcome to the rig Bird.

Speaker 9 (41:53):
Just show.

Speaker 4 (41:56):
Broadcasting from the reg.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
It's speedy.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
And learn Nick Berges. Buckle up, America. It's time hold
the show.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
All right, here we go, America. Thank you for being
with us. Our numbers eight eight eight six Big Box.
You can text us at the same number eight eight
eight six two four four eight six nine. The gang's
all here, Speedy, Greg and Adler and we thank you
for being with us for a brand new hour. We
did mention programming. Note, we do realize that on the
audio side only, yesterday's Wednesday Bible Study Job eleven did

(42:39):
have a technical issue, so that has been corrected. So
your audio archive and even the link if you have it,
should be working fine now. So our apologies for that
little setback yesterday, but all good now. Also from the
text line on our email from Terry and the husband
with the finished garage and the griddle, I love this

(43:01):
when Terry's request is not unreasonable at face value. However,
is she invading the garage? I think her husband is
simply defending his last space as possible. Others have put
more practical reasons up, as she ever thought that when
he goes out onto the driveway he can't see the
TV now and watch the game. Yeah, so there's a

(43:23):
lot of thoughts. I don't know. Unreasonable was what she asked.
Our ruling is not unreasonable, but we are missing a
few details. And I wouldn't mind hear from Terry's husband
on why he's picked this. He'll to die, that's true,
and I wouldn't stand.

Speaker 5 (43:40):
I wouldn't mind hearing from Dicky Nadmire today because the
nation's eyes are on Tuscaloosa, Alabama this evening is our
president will be arriving around six fifteen PM. That's when
they're expecting him to arrive into Tuscaloosa as he is
going to give a speech at uh Coleman Colisseum tonight

(44:02):
at the commencement.

Speaker 3 (44:03):
Well, I don't think it's any coincidence that of all
the places the President of the United States of America
could be on the National Day of Prayer, He's chosen.
God bless Tuscaloosa, a road Trump and a road Tide.
By the way, did the little protest yesterday did that
do anything? I don't. I don't know, I do I

(44:23):
do see.

Speaker 5 (44:24):
I did see where the almost like game day parking,
they've had, uh they've had areas where you can protest,
and they've they've blocked areas off and then the counter
protest has an area.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
Everybody's everybody's got an area. If you want to protest,
you go to that line. If you're hearing about something, well,
you know, Filo Betto was supposed to speak there, and
them having a tide even you were tied in their
tied against Trump.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
It's today.

Speaker 3 (44:50):
No, that's the protest is today protest Trump rally because he.

Speaker 15 (44:55):
Speaks to I thought it was yesterday and today. No,
I guess maybe it's yesterday and toda day. But maybe
they're doing the same day as Trump. I found this
fly I found this flyer. Doug Jones is going to
be there, Beto O'Rourke when May first, five to seven?

Speaker 3 (45:09):
Okay, so I guess the al dot com article I
saw yesterday, it just listed five pm, but he didn't
say what days. Yeah, so there it is. Oh, bet
Dougie Fresh is in there, the little dynamic Dougie guys.
Don't go to Tuscaloosa and have something called tide against Trump.
You just can't do that, you know. I'll tell you.

(45:30):
It's gonna be trouble. You could. There's a lot of
places you could do this. I wouldn't. I wouldn't do it.
This is remember what happened. Everybody got their own hoy,
remember hoy in the baby Trump balloon. I'm just reminding
everybody around Tied in the road.

Speaker 5 (45:46):
Trump also speaking a University of Alabama President Belle will
be speaking. Coach Nick Saban which ones tonight. Wow, all stars,
I love the fact that security prohibited items they finally
put range on there.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
I'm so glad late for that, you know what I mean. Guns,
I wish why he was here, that row Tid Whilley
would make the president police. Yeah, we're going to bring
Roe Tid willeye out. Yeah. As nad Meyer just told us,
today is the National Day of Prayer. Huh so uh.

(46:24):
People all over the country are are entering into a
time of reflection. I know that where we are. You know,
we talked about this wonderful place, the American Village, and
we're teaming up with them, getting ready to celebrate our
two hundred and fiftieth birthday as a nation next year.
And we've been doing a lot of stuff over the
three year period preparing for that, and they'll have their

(46:45):
gathering today's. As a matter of fact, Sherry, my wife,
was honored to be their speaker last year, and of
course they're doing that again. And this is going on
all over the country. And you know, a lot of times,
if you remember, we talked about this a lot. If
you want to know, original intent the best place to
find original intent. And of course I was taught this
by people who've discipled me on Bible study. If you

(47:07):
want to see the most clarity of where God is
on any topic, search in scripture where the first time
that He ever dealt with it, you'll find the most
clear indication of where He stands. I think you can
say the same thing about the history of any country.
So we all agree that George Washington was the very

(47:29):
first president. Anybody gonna argue that. So that's when we started. Right.
Constitution's done. You even have the establishment clause there that
everybody keeps called in separation of Church and State and
misdefining it and all that. So if you want to
know if it was meant to be defined the way
the left tries to define it today, you're going to
find a conflict with George Washington. On the National Day

(47:52):
of Prayer, this was Washington's prayer for our country. Now
it's got old English in here, and it's not like
it's not long, it's you really, there's a side of me.
There's a side of me that wanted Greg to read it,
but then it dawned on me. That's not a poem.

Speaker 9 (48:09):
This is a prayer.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Okay, So yeah, but it's got a it's got a
lot of thows and will so. But of course you'll
also discover that the founding fathers and all those people
they're educated, they're educated in community schools, are so much
more brilliant than we are today. We have devolved so
much compared to the the brilliants of these people. We

(48:33):
won't even fail people. You can be horrible and you
still pass. So here here's what Here's what George Washington said.
Now there's gonna be a few things in here that
some of you, some of you people out there, you're
going to be a guest at what George Washington said.
Here's his prayer. Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer

(48:53):
that thou wilt keep the United States and thy holy protection,
That thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to
cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government, and
entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and
for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.
And finally, that thou wilt most graciously be pleased to

(49:17):
dispose us all to justice, to do justice, to love, mercy,
and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific
temper of mind, which were the characteristics of the divine
author of our blessed religion. Without a humble imitation of
whose example in these things, we can never hope to

(49:40):
be a happy nation. He's talking about Jesus right there,
And you be saying, how do you know he's talking
about Jesus. He saying, look at the example Jesus gave us,
you know, with the way he handled himself, with his
characteristics of charity, humility, to be at peace with everyone
is much as he could to control his anger.

Speaker 16 (50:03):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (50:04):
He gave us an example. And Washington says, if we
want to be a happy nation, we should follow his example.
And you go with rick Hi. Do you know he
he'd just said divine author and it said Almighty God earlier. Well,
you're not gonna like the last line, grant our supplication.
We beseech THEE through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Sorry,

(50:24):
he said Jesus. So so that was. Now think about
the things where we are. Now here's Washington saying, you
know that we should put ourselves last, that we that
we uh, you know that we should get along with
one another even if we disagree. And there's all kinds
of things in here, that. But at the end of

(50:47):
it all, if we wanted to be a happy nation,
it would do us all some good to look at
the example of Christ, to Lord himself, to take on
the uh, you know, the sins of the world, to
have an attitude of being self less. We could be
a happy nation. Wow. And of course that's all gone

(51:08):
and Washington would not recognize the country in any way,
shape or form. But anyway, So that was the president
praying publicly for the country and he didn't seem to
dodge things that we're being told the government must dodge.

Speaker 9 (51:28):
But he didn't.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
So we'll be back. So National Day of Prayer today,
Let's let's all pray for our country. We can sure
use it.

Speaker 9 (51:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. It's like eating lunch
at the cool table the Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (51:56):
Thanks for being with us America working through another one together. Look.
Half a discussion about this yesterday with a fan of
the show. I was dropping by to get a takeout
order take it home for the most beautiful woman in
the world and have a little dinner, and a listener
of the show was there. We got talking about, you know, hey,

(52:19):
trying to do a little bit better putting wade on
taking Wade off and are you a yo yo dieter? Yeah,
been there, I've certainly done that. Well, that's not very
good for us. It's increasing our chance of stroke, it
is increasing the likelihood of a cardiac event, and is
also increasing the likelihood of being tied to diabetes. Diabetic

(52:44):
and our blood sugar. So these things are not good.
But take lean dot Com could be the answer that
we've all been looking for if you struggle with this.
Here is someone who said, Hey, this is Patty. She said,
I finally found a weight loss product that works. I
wanted to lose twenty pounds, so I ordered take lean or.

(53:05):
I went to take Lian dot com to order Lean.
I used the code big vox and as soon as
I started taking it, Lian really curbs my appetite. Another
email from the listener, Lourie says, I've struggled to get
weighth off and Lien has been what I considered to
be a life saver. I've been losing a couple of
pounds a week or more and I'm thrilled. And here's

(53:27):
another one from Kelly. Amazing product, guys. I immediately noticed
an energy boost and a healthy weight loss. That makes
me happy, and I'm going to start telling others about
this product. It's called Lean, and you can find out
about it and all the research behind it by going
to take lian dot com. This is not a shot,
it's not a prescription. It's all natural, highly researched, and

(53:51):
it helps your body naturally curb the appetite, helps your
body to keep the sugar where it's supposed to be,
and it does give you a clean energy, unlike some
of the other things that basically are starving you. So
go to taatelan dot com, takelean dot com, get twenty
percent off, or look for that link at Rick Burgess
show dot com right there under sponsors and go enjoy

(54:14):
a better quality of life. Okay, So a couple of stories,
and again these are not picked me ups. I apologize
for that, but they're big stories today. Horrible, horrible story
with John Elway. Apparently he and his longtime agent Jeff
Spurbeck had gone to some sort of music festival the

(54:36):
stage coach. Oh, yeah, that's a big event. Is that
your big one? Hugh and the wives too, they were
all the event. Yeah, and they were working their way
back into a gated neighborhood after this on a golf
cart and unfortunately, the agent Jeff Spurbeck, was writing in
the back whether you face out in these golf carts

(55:00):
for some reason fell off and hit his head on
concrete inside the neighborhood and died. Yeah. Wow, it was
not good. Wow.

Speaker 5 (55:10):
Lway called nine one one and paramedics came to the
scene and got him to the hospital. But first reports
were this is not good at all, and it wasn't
because he was unconscious but breathing when they got there,
transported to the regional hospital and they said that there
was just no saving him.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
So unfortunately he passed away. The city said they did.

Speaker 5 (55:35):
Everything they could, but the yep, the condition was not good,
and they said that l Way as TMZ's reporting that
what we can find out is l Way really didn't
do anything wrong.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
I don't know how the guy how he fell off.
I have no idea, but it's sad news.

Speaker 5 (55:52):
They owned seven Sellers winery together since twenty thirteen. They've
been in business together. So you with your wives and
you're on the golf cart. Next thing you know, you've
fallen off and hitting your head.

Speaker 3 (56:04):
Yeah, yeah, well, it's not uncommon. Yeah, and we've seen
these golf carts and people ride on them and you
see the people in the back facing the other way.
I've seen it a thousand times. And somehow, for some reason,
he fell. But but you know, if you just fall,
that's okay. But he fell and hit his head on pavement,
and you know, when that happens, it can be very

(56:25):
serious and as we now know so unfortunately. So they're
they're dealing with that today. You're going to see that.
And then we got a fan in the hospital. Uh,
he fell from the stands the Pirates are playing the Cubs,
uh and at PNC Park there in Pittsburgh. And the
fan was on the front row of a deck and falls.

(56:50):
They said whether they said the wall is twenty one
feet high. So the deck is I don't know how
far you would say above this more than I mean,
there's there's twenty feet right there.

Speaker 5 (57:01):
Yeah, they're saying that he fell twenty feet, which is
a little confusing because then they said he was seen
on the upper deck in a post. But the wall
is twenty one feet you're.

Speaker 8 (57:11):
Gonna see him.

Speaker 4 (57:11):
There's a hit and then he gets all excited and
then just wow, right, over.

Speaker 5 (57:16):
He obviously falls from oh he hitches. Oh my goodness, Yeah,
it's not from that wall. The story is terribly written. Yeah,
because he obviously falls from up top there he jumps.

Speaker 3 (57:27):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 8 (57:28):
Evidently he was drunk and shirtless and there was a
hit and he just rocketed himself up in his seat
and then immediately just fell over.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
I hate to do this. Come on, that's more than
twenty feet?

Speaker 14 (57:39):
It is?

Speaker 13 (57:40):
It?

Speaker 3 (57:40):
Just it seems that way. It sure is twenty one? Yeah,
I agree, I agree. I mean, he's that's got to
be at least another ten fifteen. Yeah, I wouldn't even
go as far as say it fell forty feet. Yeah,
I think that's probably more accurate if it measure them
rails and then we're gonna see if it's a speck
or not. Well, you can bet that's the first thing.

(58:00):
Well they stopped the game. They did because every all
the players and everybody who saw him fall. I mean,
am I am I seeing this roong he fall on
his head? H Is he coming down like that? It
does look like it's he's he's.

Speaker 8 (58:15):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (58:15):
Could have you seen like a monkey or something be
tranquilized from up in a tree and it falls and
it's hitting everything on the way down.

Speaker 3 (58:23):
That's it. That's what that looks like. So they ended
the game obviously because nobody wanted to play after that.
They did. They did stop the game completely. They didn't
pick it back up. Let's see, let's see if they did. Well,
he's a he's a bloody mess too, man.

Speaker 8 (58:39):
Yeah, shirtless, Yeah, he took his shirt off. He's super drunk,
as what the people around him are saying.

Speaker 3 (58:44):
He just got top heavy. It looks like, yeah, if
you're super drunk, uh you know, but it's a bad
things can happen you're you know, hot, Being up high
and having a little bit in front of you and
leaning over not not the way to go. So uh
so they did, I'm trying. It never really tells us
if if they were, you know, started the game back up,

(59:05):
It doesn't really tell us.

Speaker 4 (59:07):
Yeah, that video was slow mo. Here it is real
time one.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Up and down. Oh no, oh no, he he landed on.
Oh no, that's terrible. Yeah, that's bad.

Speaker 5 (59:21):
Good night, okay, Rick. It was the Pirates and the Cubs.
It was it was it last night, right, that's it says.
The Pirates won fourth, so they went back. I guess
after cancel the game. You know the box score? They
did play it, we got we got four more endings.

Speaker 3 (59:38):
Is this one of those things? I don't mean to
be insensitive, because you know that's not But do you
think somebody said, well, he's in the hospital. Okay, so
he's not dead. No, not well not yet?

Speaker 11 (59:47):
All right?

Speaker 3 (59:47):
Display all right? So that was in the seventh inning,
and they did play a complay game. Was it the
seventh stretch?

Speaker 9 (59:56):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Okay, are you ready

Speaker 3 (01:04:45):
Kid, nothing like that. I think this guy was going

Nipples in a good way.

Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
Okay, now about.

Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
I'll talk about twenty nipples.

Speaker 6 (01:05:28):
A couple of weeks ago, and my husband is a
former football coach and his are quite twenty and uh,
I told him to the band aids on him.

Speaker 8 (01:05:37):
So they wouldn't show through his shirt because he's a biggen.

Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
Yeah, and he forgot he had band aids on him
and took his shirt off from the locker room.

Speaker 8 (01:05:43):
After a football game and then say the coaches had
a hell of a.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
I know it made it better and that coaching atmosphere
or something like that happening. Oh, Rick, what you got?
I like how she announced I'm on speaking. If y'all
don't like it, get over it to get ready. Well,
you know why she's coach's wife. She is as she's
been out there in the middle of the elements. That's
a hard working woman right there. You're looking at you
butting your peels this shirt off. That's why I won't

(01:06:16):
do it here. It's been suggested. Hey, Rick Burgess show
unscreen phone calls.

Speaker 18 (01:06:20):
Go ahead, Yeah, it's Tom and City Tellers.

Speaker 6 (01:06:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 18 (01:06:27):
Then, while I've been waiting on the on the subject
topic talking about those golf cards. No, yeah, I see
idiot kids all them in my neighborhood. I'm like, y'all,
this is a car. This is basically a car. You
did not need to let your kids drive these things.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
Way to the game on that one. Yeah, but yeah, cards,
every one of them have cards. Now, I know that's
a lot of vehicle To Tom's point for when kids
are dropping, they'll be down the beach with traffic up
and down the road, and the little kid'll be behind
the wheel and I'm like, they'll leave the neighborhood and
get out there where the cars are. Oh yeah, we
can change some bad uh, some bad accidents on golf

(01:07:10):
courses too. I bet rick Burgers show unscreen phone calls.
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (01:07:16):
One thing for a year?

Speaker 18 (01:07:17):
Would you die even heard the orange or blues or
noose range?

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
Try that? I love you said the blue? It was blues.

Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
Yeah, try try that one more time. If we lost him,
he said, would you rather dye your hair for a year?
Orange or blues? Or get a I get a nose
nose rings?

Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
That what you said? He only gave me two colors
on dying my hair. It's either orange or blue. Let
me give his nose ring. People something. If you're just
going to the one side, that's not as but them
they're hooking the nose like a toro, you know, the
big hoop, and it's becoming really everywhere else that's that's
a whist.

Speaker 5 (01:07:52):
You really just like you some hanging on you know,
I think I'm gonna go that because I mean, but orange,
because orange hair, I mean, I would have to have hair.

Speaker 8 (01:08:00):
But you step up for you.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Really, there's no way I'm going nose ring. I'm going
blue hair. Yeah, you walk around with blue hair, those
ring people might not really notice it. I'm good with
blue hair.

Speaker 8 (01:08:13):
Yes, I don't want to be touching my nose.

Speaker 4 (01:08:15):
And have a ring in it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:16):
You're good with blue hair, I'm fine. You're going to
stand up at a man's conference with blue hair.

Speaker 7 (01:08:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
People may say, man, that's trendy. That looks their I
don't get that. I don't know why any It looks
so uncomfortable. If you ever tried to talk to somebody
with one of those el toros through their through their
nose and you can't help It's like they're talking and
that's all I'm saying is gosh, look at that? Is
that comfortable? Is that bog And then I fight the
urge to grab it and kind of pull them forward.

(01:08:40):
They must not have allergies.

Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
Yes, it looks like they got a goober in their nose.

Speaker 8 (01:08:44):
Get that booger out of there. What that's right?

Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
What a booger?

Speaker 8 (01:08:50):
A goober it's the same thing.

Speaker 4 (01:08:55):
It's also a candy.

Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
I can tell you that it's also candy Mississippi. They're
different and peanuts. You might call them a goober. You
go around saying you've got a goober. There, you got problems.

Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
Yeah, if you just bring a subject up and it's
something about goober and you don't know what you're talking.
Now you've said it twice.

Speaker 8 (01:09:13):
Evidently restaurants have some kind of quota in which fifty
percent of the waitresses.

Speaker 11 (01:09:17):
Have to have this.

Speaker 4 (01:09:18):
Yes, that was goodn't What is the deal? What you
gotta have it? If you're going to be a waitress,
my goodness.

Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
If you must pierce your nose, if you're going to
be away? Yes, have you ever heard some some of
these that wait on tables? Now, they look so goth
and so scary. I'm afraid to complain and ask for
tea bothering. I thought to myself, this person may kill me.
Mustle I don't bother Yeah, we continue. I believe you
said that. Hello, Welcome to the Rick Berger Show. Unscreen
phone calls.

Speaker 10 (01:09:45):
You're on, Hey, Dylan Milvaney, Greg is way hotter than
fat Taylor Swift?

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
No, why he throw me in there?

Speaker 11 (01:09:54):
What did I do?

Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
What do you dose a fat tailor? Swift? What are
they talking about Vanen?

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Yeah, that's the bud like, that's the bud like guy,
Yeah whatever, But.

Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Where do we get the fat on me about?

Speaker 8 (01:10:07):
I think that people people are using AI to creative
fab Oh that one man I met Aaron's man.

Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
Yeah she is if she exists. Oh that's funny. Oh wow.
But I still thought I would that over. I would
pick that over dealing over at fifty five. Say it hey,
Rick Burgers show every all day long, Rick Burger's show,

Speaker 6 (01:10:32):

Speaker 7 (01:10:34):
Good morning, Rick. I was just wondering. The other day
y'all were talking about devil digs in the different ways
of fixing devil dig Yes, I was just wondering. Have
you ever tried deep fried deviled eggs?

Speaker 3 (01:10:50):
That can't be possible?

Speaker 7 (01:10:51):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (01:10:51):
That No?

Speaker 3 (01:10:52):
Did they serve those in heaven?

Speaker 6 (01:10:55):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (01:10:56):
Yes, I think they're going to serve them in heaven.
They are absolute like delicious.

Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
I've never Darvin, how do you how do you bry

Speaker 8 (01:11:16):

Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
So yeah, that here we are. If you're listening to
the show live. We've started the month of May. We've
covered that is our nation is National Day of Prayer.
We've hit that. Kind of an awkward thing going on
today too. Some people are saying it's National Principal Appreciation Day.

(01:12:10):
Did those words go together? I don't know. My experience.
I spend a lot of time with principals, got to
know them very well. Yeah, spent a lot of time.
And I remember with the assistant principal because I've started
some I've been sitting there in school and I started
some attempt to defend myself, and the assistant principle really

(01:12:31):
had It was just so logical. He looked at me
and he said, Burgess, you're in here every other day,
but you've never done anything. Those things don't go together.
You just think happen. Rick, you are correct today and
this gets on Greg's nerves more than you know. Of course,
got fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:12:48):
You got the Day of Prayer, National Day of Prayer,
that's today May First, you have School Principals Day, Silver
Star Service Banner Day, Law Day, National Mother Goose Day,
National Loyalty Day, and National Chocolate Parfe Day.

Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
So I'm sorry, agree, I didn't mean you know what
you've done. You've dumbed it down. Would you rather celebrate
every single thing on that list? Or see a child
prodigy sing a show tune? That'd be tough. That's a
tough one. That's a tough one. How long it is
the song three and a half minutes? I'm gonna go
that route. It'd be tough for but I think I
can get through it. Three and a half. Yeah, okay,

(01:13:23):
see and a half. So we have an update today.
Remember when the guy said that a silver back full
grown adult gorilla, that one hundred men could not defeat
the gorilla without a weapon, Without a weapon, I agree.
A wildlife biologist has come in saying I I said
I could not so fast. Now the first these hundred

(01:13:46):
men trained killers? Are they just one hundred men?

Speaker 4 (01:13:48):
Well, okay, well, there's a lot to consider here.

Speaker 8 (01:13:51):
All the facts that the guy was given when we
When I agreed, I was like, you know, the thick skin,
the thick bones, you weigh four hundred pounds. With that
over six feet tall, you could rip limbs off. You
can lift two thousand pounds and you can bite thirteen
thousand pounds.

Speaker 3 (01:14:07):
Well you can bite thirty of them kill them? Yes,
right then, but you know we all laying on you.

Speaker 4 (01:14:12):
Now, this guy, this guy brings up a great Kendler.

Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
What are you doing? How do you know?

Speaker 4 (01:14:18):
This guy's name is Forrest Galante.

Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
He's lost me.

Speaker 9 (01:14:22):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:14:22):
He's a wildlife biologist.

Speaker 8 (01:14:24):
He's got shows on Animal Planet, he's got all kinds
of things, so he is an expert.

Speaker 3 (01:14:30):
Can I say this though, Adler, do you agree with
me on this?

Speaker 6 (01:14:33):
I know you do.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
Greg, that's not even up for debate. You likely do, speedy.
If you're going to be the guy that now supposed
to know the most about animals, that's just not the
outfit you shad on you. You should be dressing some
sort of safari khaki Look, yeah, get the khaki button
down on that, Yes, exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
Yes, crocodile hunter. All right, So here we go, Brian,
I'm Brian fellows that bird is crazy.

Speaker 13 (01:14:58):
Here's forest the guy or one hundred mat All right,
let's break this down once and for all.

Speaker 4 (01:15:02):
Well, a full grown mail gorilla is an absolute monster.

Speaker 13 (01:15:05):
Can lift two thousand pounds, has a bite force of
thirteen hundred psi, and is up to nine times stronger
than the average guy.

Speaker 3 (01:15:12):
But here's the thing.

Speaker 13 (01:15:13):
Gorillas aren't built for long fights. They're like sprinters. They
explode for about a minute and then they gas out hard.
So yeah, the first thirty, maybe forty guys dead instantly,
But after a minute, once enough guys dogpile onto it.

Speaker 4 (01:15:26):
Weight wins, endurance wins.

Speaker 13 (01:15:28):
The one hundred men would eventually overwhelm the gorilla barely,
probably losing about half in the process. Humans are weak individually,
but when we work together, even nature's tanks like gorillas
don't stand a chance.

Speaker 3 (01:15:42):
He would. I will give him credit. The fatigue we
didn't consider that I did not consider. I still think
he's going to pull it off. It's a big butt.
I think if he can lay there long enough to
get his.

Speaker 8 (01:15:53):
Power back, we're going to lose thirty men instantly.

Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
Right, We got to be able to do that, will
fully do it? Or you're gonna go in first, and
then we're gonna come in and lay on him and
if we can. Just because they lay on the gorilla,
they don't mean they can kill him. Oh yeah, you
know what I'm saying, because he's got that thick skull
and on thick bones and all that stuff.

Speaker 8 (01:16:16):
Because I have to make sure he's real tired, I'll.

Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
Still go with the with the gorilla, we don't have
a weapon. So even if we get him down, we're
gonna choke him, cover his mouth, We're gonna choke him out.
Are taping him? What are we doing? He'll get in
survival mode and he'll take him there until he gets
strong and check him out and he can't tap either.
I disagree with the wildlife biologists. I don't think it's
a good point, but I still think in the end,
now get it comes out of the gate and it

(01:16:38):
looks like a blowout, the gorilla is gonna just dominate.
And now they're gonna get a time where he runs
out of gas, but he will recharge. That's the problem.
If we don't have a wet what are you gonna
do with him? We can't kill him once he gets tired.
Your punches. Your punches aren't gonna hurt him, doesn't he?
Just like you said, great, just wrist and then go
after this again if we have and I don't want
to be one of the first thirty to get killed.

(01:16:59):
Yeah that you remember the famous Clint Eastwood line. I
don't remember it exactly when people were saying there's too
many of us. He said, well, I'm gonna get some
of you, and you got to decide which one are
you willing't be the ones I get.

Speaker 5 (01:17:09):
And here's what's here's the problem. When we all go in,
what he does to Adler is gonna look horrifying. Oh yeah,
but we can't because we give me well, because.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
He's gonna throw you like a stuff down there.

Speaker 4 (01:17:20):
Yeah, you like a stuffed animal too. I'm not alone
in this, and we can't star you.

Speaker 3 (01:17:26):
Hey, look at me.

Speaker 5 (01:17:27):
We can't stop and get scared because of what he
does to Addler. It's gonna look horrifying.

Speaker 3 (01:17:31):
Okay, we just got it. We got to keep going in.
In my mind, Adler's wearing his gee.

Speaker 4 (01:17:35):
Yeah, I would definitely ready.

Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
He's going to be in a different piece. I would
like to propose in the one hundred men that we're
allowed to put in Chuck Norris. Yes, Okay, I know
he's older, but he's still Chuck Norrise.

Speaker 8 (01:17:49):
Somebody mentioned that when my arm gets ripped off, you
can use my arm to choke the gorilla. That's not
a bad idea, give you permission, that's not a bad idea.

Speaker 3 (01:17:57):
That's good. But Adler, maybe you can, you know, kind
of with his fatigue. Maybe you can stay away from him.
Maybe you can be part of tiring him out he
chases you or something. They're pretty fast though. When he
has his win. I like to request John Cena too,
if we could, we could have him. Okay, yeah, but
now that was scripted. Oh his championship. Okay, that's different.
Least Norris has actually followed at a certain level. Yeah,

(01:18:20):
we can't get Bruce Lee because he's going on him. Yeah,
so we get the rock. We have him there if
we pick the right one hundred men, maybe, but I'm
still confused. And to Greg's point, if we can't have
nothing to kill him with, even if he's tired and
we've dog piled him with the with the you know,
seventy of us that's left punching him and hurt him

(01:18:41):
doesn't he just regain his strength and kill another thirty Yeah,
I don't know. But see we don't charge him with
at different angles.

Speaker 4 (01:18:46):
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. Fake him out, Fake him out
so that he gets tired, because.

Speaker 3 (01:18:50):
Then he'll just said that there's nothing our punch are holding.

Speaker 10 (01:18:57):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
You think once he's on the ground tired, you'll put
him in some Brazilian jiu jitsu. Yes, blue bail, but
that's helpless.

Speaker 8 (01:19:05):
Somebody put into a computer ten thousand gorillas verse one
million men, which.

Speaker 4 (01:19:09):
Is that's you know, that's let's just blow this whole
thing up.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
Let's have a battle.

Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
Look that sounds good to me.

Speaker 3 (01:19:15):
Oh my goodness, wow that look what happens.

Speaker 8 (01:19:18):
The gorilla's win, they do, Yeah, the men try to
surround them with the gorillas win. Well, guys, this these
computer models aren't considering endurance.

Speaker 4 (01:19:26):
They're not and stamina at heart and heart and mind
and soul.

Speaker 3 (01:19:31):
What if we're protecting our families? Yes, who would tire
out first? If we had butterbean the gorilla or butter.

Speaker 8 (01:19:37):
Beans butterbean just a little bit longer hour.

Speaker 9 (01:19:40):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 8 (01:19:56):
You know, like we say, you.

Speaker 4 (01:20:02):
Gotta find.

Speaker 9 (01:20:08):
Broadcasting from the world the rich Burgess.

Speaker 3 (01:20:12):
Here we go, America, thanks for being with us, Speedy,
Greg Adler all here, We thank you for being with
us today as the show moves forward. Did you miss
some of the show today, not a problem. Catch it
on the archives. You can do that on the Rich
Burgess Show podcast channel or the YouTube channel. They both
have the archive option each and every day for you

(01:20:35):
to go back and catch it on your own times. Okay,
we still have much to cover. We've already covered a lot,
and do you want to update you on a few things.
If you're yesterday Wednesday, Bible study audio archive had a
little glitch in it, and it did. That has been

(01:20:55):
resolved by mister Adler, and it's fine now even if
you still have your link, even go back to that link.
It'll work just fine. So sorry about that. But it
is available on the YouTube channel or the podcast channel now. Okay,
So a couple of things we want to hit here.
Out of the political world. I was looking at this

(01:21:16):
and I was questioning that that this is Kamala Harris
delivering her first speech since leaving office. Is this so
this is like we've seen her comment on things, but
this is a Hey, you look at me. Behind who
is she? The electern on a podium delivering the speech.

Speaker 4 (01:21:36):
First major since leaving office.

Speaker 3 (01:21:38):
Okay, we're emerge. She has something called emerge. Was that
behind her?

Speaker 10 (01:21:43):
There?

Speaker 3 (01:21:43):
Emerge? So people are saying that she's coming across, which
I thought she always came across this way. I mean,
no offense. You know, I'm doing that thing people do.
If you say no offense, it means it's not offensive.
It really doesn't, but no offense. She always seems like
she had had a little too much to drink every
time I heard. Yeah, that's just the way. I'm not

(01:22:03):
saying that she does same way it sounds.

Speaker 5 (01:22:07):
So I thought she kind of maybe has been off
the scene, just working on her delivery, but apparently not.

Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
So here she goes, same delivery. Really yeah, sorry about that.

Speaker 4 (01:22:16):
In fact, please allow me, friends to digress for a moment.

Speaker 3 (01:22:19):
Okay, Oh no, no.

Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
It's kind of dark in here. When I'm asked for
chow of hands.

Speaker 19 (01:22:23):
Who saw that video from a couple of weeks ago,
the one of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo
during the earthquake.

Speaker 4 (01:22:32):
Guys, Oh no, the music, I don't know why it's
got the.

Speaker 8 (01:22:36):
Music, So that scene has been on my mind.

Speaker 3 (01:22:40):
Everybody's asking me what you've been thinking about these days?

Speaker 4 (01:22:42):
Well, why is she talking about an elephant?

Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
I know what she's talking about, but I'm more concerned
with the actual delivery. I don't know who is. But
there is a video and it is It is cool.
When they circle around they circle around the baby when
the earthquake happens, I go into the protect the kids mode.
The female elephants. I guess that's where she's gonna eventually
go that somehow she's gonna be part of protecting America.

(01:23:10):
I don't know. I will tell you this. If she
would have been elected, it'd been more like the earthquake, right,
not the elephants.

Speaker 8 (01:23:17):
All right, here's another clip that doesn't have music, and
she gets all angry like she used to do. If
you guys want that, sure, Okay, Sorry about the music
one it didn't I thought it was a chair squeaking
when I listened.

Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
To it on my phone.

Speaker 4 (01:23:26):
By the one not a problem, I think it was
somebody added that.

Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
I think they were doing sound check on the other stage.

Speaker 4 (01:23:32):
I don't know why they added that.

Speaker 19 (01:23:33):
On this country is ours, it doesn't belong to whoever
is in the White House.

Speaker 8 (01:23:43):
It belongs to you, it belongs to us, it belongs
to we the people.

Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Then why did you act like it belonged to you
when you were in the white Was she talking all
like it belonged I'm again I'm missing one she speaking
and who is she speaking to? What is the deal?
That's something I don't who knows? Great if the first one,
it's like that she was surprised that she was there
the first clip that you showed, the laughing and you know,

(01:24:12):
because you ever had that. I mean, I'm not I'm
not even making that up. You ever been like somebody said,
the spotlight hits you and you didn't know you were
going to talk. You're like, hey, okay, I'll say a
few words. Sure, y'all seen that video of those elephants
and earthquake? How about that? I mean about that? It
didn't look like someone that had just been introduced and
will now command the stage did to start my speech
and here we are.

Speaker 8 (01:24:32):
That was the emerged Gala. It's evidently an annual thing
in San Francisco.

Speaker 3 (01:24:38):
Well, I'm sorry that Mamala was not elected by the people,
not even close. No, no, So next again, the delusion
will continues, and I appreciate this reporter calling out Schumer.
You know, Chucky is furious that about the first one
hundred days of the Trump administration, and he's going to
talk about how Americans don't like the first one hundred days,

(01:25:01):
as Greg predicted they would say. And then somebody brings
up that his favorability rating right now is seventeen percent. Now,
keep in mind, he just said that we should pay
attention to polls that are negative on Trump, and then
somebody's basically saying, should we pay attention to the polls
on you? And to no one's surprised Chucky changes the

(01:25:23):
standard for himself.

Speaker 14 (01:25:24):
So here we go.

Speaker 16 (01:25:26):
Americans are noticing the polls this week show Trump has
the lowest one hundred day approval rating since they started
polling eighty years ago, the lowest even worse. Seventy two
percent of Americans think it's likely that Trump's handling of
the economy will will walk us directly into a recession.

(01:25:49):
Two people who hate what Trump is proposing.

Speaker 3 (01:25:52):
Yes, yes, there's a whole up.

Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
Today that has euro Little ratings lower than any other confessional.

Speaker 9 (01:26:00):
You know, at seventeen percent, are you concerned he maybe
a liability for your holes.

Speaker 7 (01:26:04):
Come and go.

Speaker 16 (01:26:05):
Our party is united, We're on our front foot. We're
stepping forward and going after Trump and having real success.

Speaker 4 (01:26:12):
Yes, Poles come and go.

Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
Yeah. Now when he has some polling on Trump that's negative,
we should all pay attention.

Speaker 5 (01:26:18):
He didn't cite that poll, and who you know did
the survey? Oh, you're right, it's funny, Rick, They come
and go when it's on him.

Speaker 3 (01:26:25):
And then a shocker, a reporter actually acting like a journalist.
You don't see that a lot says, well, you're at
seventeen percent right now? Are you a detriment to your party?
Polls come and go? Okay? Did they come and go
on Trump's one hundred days or just you just me okay,
just wanted to be clear, Okay, got it. So post

(01:26:48):
means something if it's a bad poe for Trump, but
if it's a bad poe for you, it doesn't mean anything.
That is correct. Okay, and we stand united against Trump?
Got it. America doesn't seem to like that. Polls come
and go. They do, But let me tell you a
lot of I got some Americans I'm not I'm kind
of being general on this. Who don't like the first
one in the day's now that you need to write

(01:27:09):
about you see. I mean again, we just yesterday talked
about do we still use the word chump? I do
because I just get so disgusted that some of these
politicians treat us like we're a bunch of chumps. We
just don't know anything. So, by the way, somebody said,
back to the gorilla thing, if we ever get him tired,
what if we just wrapped him up in gorilla tape?

Speaker 4 (01:27:31):
Is that kind of a weapon though, is that? I
mean that kind of is a weapon.

Speaker 8 (01:27:34):
This is a weaponless situation?

Speaker 5 (01:27:36):
Could be what what if we could pick the ten
baddest dudes ever to represent us with that stand a chance?
Like let's let's say we held the gorilla down and
Mike Tyson punched him over and over and over it.

Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
I'll tell you after that speech, what if we came
running out we need a hundred What if we went
the other way after that speech and we said one
hundred Democrats after the grill? So we'll be back.

Speaker 9 (01:28:01):
This is the Rick Burchers Show. Do you have your

mic notes on the stall. We're taking control. We're answering
them all. Hey Burch, Hey, what's the words today?

Speaker 6 (01:29:24):
Well, here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
This comes from Trent Trance is an archive podcast listener,
and Trent says, hey Burde, Hey Burge, I'm a few
days behind and just got through listening to the segment
learning that beaver's break wind. Yeah, and we did have

(01:29:45):
that story that was breaking news here on our show,
No pun intended. Uh, here's a thought, and it's a
pretty good one. Speed. Let me go ahead and prepare
for this, all right, what do you think of the
sound of the beaver marking his territory, which was the
breaking wind? Should be cut out and put in the

(01:30:06):
instant replay for phone calls when you are done with
it during unscreen phone calls, Like if you don't get
in trouble for that making that sounds and over again,
why are we get in trouble? Who's gonna get your mother?
Gonna get onto it? I mean, who's going to be
mad at us? Some frown on. I don't think that's
considered like a violation of you know, who's gonna get

(01:30:29):
mad at us? Let me a picture of this, Yeah,
I just want to tell me and all of a
sudden it's gone. That's not bad though. That was a
little more accurate theory as far as the beaver one.
It looks like we got it and let me tell
you what that may not even need it. Okay, you've come,

(01:30:52):
but anyway, so I mean it's not a bad though,
it's not not a bad thomb uh hey bird a birde.
This comes from sting Ray up question for Greg Greg.
Are you ready? I'm ready? So we know that Greg
loves Smoking the Bandit. Oh yeah, we know that maybe
the best movie you ever made. Okay, pay attention because
here's what they want to know. Now, how would Greg

(01:31:15):
rank other Burt Rentals movies? And he's given you five? Okay,
I liken to rank? Yes, how would you rank the
following five Burt Rentals movies? Smoking the Bandit's out because
you've already established where you are on that one. Got it?
Longest yard that's up there, Gaior Oh yeah, cannon ball run,

(01:31:37):
Hooper stroker Ace, Oh throw out cannon ball run, cannonball run.
That would be in the five slot. Then okay, all right,
a five longest yard gaiteror Hooper stroker Ace. Longest yard
would be four two two? Okay, we know. Look you
started with two. How many are how many is in?

(01:31:58):
There's five? There's five you have ranked counting Smoking the bend. Yeah. Right,
you have ranked your your least favorite of that bunch.
Cannonball run. You've got it in the five. You have
it number two. Longest yard you have left? Gaior, Hooper
Stroker race Okay, stroke race is just stupid, but I

(01:32:18):
like it.

Speaker 7 (01:32:19):
Three?

Speaker 3 (01:32:20):
Uh, you give me three? Okay? Then you got Hooper
and gaiteror Hooper and Gator for what spots? One? You
don't have?

Speaker 11 (01:32:29):
One?

Speaker 3 (01:32:29):
And one and four? Move move longest yard to one?
Just one? And do you want me to make stroke
race two? Make stra make Hooper two stroke race Oka two?
All right? Gator four yep? And then gatn ball run five.
I'm I'm a little surprised by Gator being at four. Yeah,

(01:32:49):
I know, but I really like Hooper. What's the best
line Gator? Yeah? I think Okay, No, it's your list,
not my list. What's the best line of smoking the bandit?
Oh god, there's so many, I'm not sure. Oh good
night Greg. When he gets home, the first thing I'm
gonna do is punch your mom in my gig. You

(01:33:10):
can't say things justice on Sunday because his son is
so such an idiot. There's no way remember that. There's
no way you're from.

Speaker 5 (01:33:19):
There's no way, no run of mind texted because he's
thirsty dummy right.

Speaker 3 (01:33:24):
For some reason, I don't know why. When he's in
here eating the Diablo and sandwich, make a quick Alemona
that he had a doctor pepper with it too, I think,
or something done where she walks out and he has
a told pa. She turns around, he comments on her

(01:33:48):
for seeking Okay, okay, all right, not a family movie. Ought,
it's not not a family movie, Beatty. Just now you
talking about something that went from a great movie to
the worst two sequels I've ever seen that he wins
out Award two. They're horrible. Do you think about two

(01:34:10):
and three are Do you think Smoking the Bandit? Two
and three are worse than the sequels to Jaws?

Speaker 9 (01:34:15):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (01:34:17):
Yeah, they're worse than Jaws two three Day was bad. Yeah,
Joles one and two is on ones like knowledge and
two really doesn't qualify. But it's okay, okay, all right,
but no, no, it's it's worse. I mean the rig
when when they have Jackie Gleeson playing like his twin
brothers and all this or triplets or whatever is Oh.

Speaker 8 (01:34:36):
No they did twins.

Speaker 3 (01:34:37):
Yeah, it was not good. Let's just sound like that
didn't happen, Gerry, but smoking Bended three? I love. What
do you consider the best sequels ever made? I just
got to be Rocky Rocky definitely Two Towers? Okay, yeah, Lord,
are those sequels?

Speaker 12 (01:34:52):
Though?

Speaker 8 (01:34:53):
Two Towers is a great one.

Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
But is it a sequel? I mean, all those books
were already there and they all go together. Aren't you
continue the story? You're you're going to throw out Rocky?
Is it five? When he loses all his money and
he finds Tommy, Tommy gone out in the street and
that one was? I know, this is not really terrible.
I think Rocky really should not go beyond three. Yeah,

(01:35:15):
I'll give you four. Yeah, four is good. Drago, Yeah,
the corny it is. It stops there, though you don't
go any further.

Speaker 4 (01:35:22):
Rainbow two, First Blood, Part two great movies.

Speaker 3 (01:35:26):
Yeah, well said, I knew you were going to say,
hard to we continue, Hey bird, Hey birds, for the
rest of your life, Fellas, you must listen to the
music of only one of these bands for the rest
of your life. The rest of your lives or the
rest of your life. You're done. You're either going to
be listening to journey for the rest of your life,

(01:35:48):
The Eagles, Toto, Leonard, SKINNERD, the Doobie Brothers are Queen.
It's down to SKINNERD and uh uh. Eagles Eagles, It's
down to Skinner and Journey Out, Toto Out, Doobie Brothers
and Queen Out.

Speaker 4 (01:36:05):
Doobies are a close third. But I do agree.

Speaker 3 (01:36:08):
I think it's Eagles and I'm going Eagles. They said
none of the solo projects can be would be included
just them in the band. I'll have to go Eagles
in a close one. Speedy, Yeah, I said, That's what
I said. Yeah, if you're stuck with a catalog for
the rest of your life, I don't think it can
be anything but the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (01:36:26):
Yeah, I'm gonna go Skinnered.

Speaker 3 (01:36:29):
I'm close. Its neck and neck great stuff. Yeah, but
none of it's bad. It runs out pretty quick. Both
bands Eagles both have a large category. I would say catalog.
You got the early Eagles that had almost a country
twist to them, and then later so you know.

Speaker 4 (01:36:49):
You do have more variety.

Speaker 3 (01:36:51):
There's some variety there. What what how do you feel
about the fact that are you going to include that
we would have been your catalog you're gonna include like
recent skinnered things?

Speaker 8 (01:37:04):
No, I mean you would want to eventually?

Speaker 14 (01:37:08):
Do we?

Speaker 6 (01:37:09):
Just not?

Speaker 3 (01:37:09):
I feel like I never get and I won't even
give modern skinnered things a chance. And I think they
had some pretty decent songs, but you know, I think
they Why want Why won't I even give it a chance?

Speaker 4 (01:37:19):
I know, Sweet Home Alabama?

Speaker 8 (01:37:22):
Give me three steps, simple man, Curtis Low Saturday Night Special,
call me the great stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:37:27):
Free birds not a bad choice. I ain't the one.

Speaker 4 (01:37:31):
I ain't the one that smell Come on?

Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
Are any of us? Are any of us with all
these bands? A little tired of the things that even
the people that aren't into music know, Yes, yes, we
gotta get in some deeper cuts. I fished and get booed. I.
Oh no, I've heard Sweet Home Alabama back.

Speaker 4 (01:37:47):
Oh gosh, I've just heard it.

Speaker 3 (01:37:49):
Say do you know what they're gonna play when Trump
comes out in Tuscalusa today? Well, it's okay for stuff
like that. I like it to be at events and
maybe even when the crowd sings it. But just putting
it on and hit the button in the car ride
and you're gonna listen to the whole thing. The whole
song today was on.

Speaker 4 (01:38:05):
I'm listening to the whole song with my kids today.

Speaker 6 (01:38:07):
Greg.

Speaker 3 (01:38:07):
I'm not saying I love it when they use it
in events.

Speaker 7 (01:38:10):
I can talk now.

Speaker 3 (01:38:10):
But if you're in the car and it comes on,
are you staying with it for the entire duration? I
am not.

Speaker 6 (01:38:16):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (01:38:16):
There's nothing against that. I've just heard it song. Will
you please? They'll crank it up on the way home
today though, and give it something. I well, I'm not
going on with them, but I will that riff as
the two verse we go two verses, I will too.
I used to go to the bridge. All right, we're
right back.

Speaker 9 (01:38:30):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. America sleeps well every
night just knowing these four men are on the air.

Speaker 11 (01:38:49):
Rick.

Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
Yeah, we're here.

Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
We're here, baby, all of us. From the text Nation
at eight eight eight six two four four eight six'
nine or that is six big. Box this is such
a good. Statement why is a song better when you
catch it spontaneously versus looking for it and playing it? Intentionally?
Yes isn't that? TRUE i got another question in the same.

(01:39:14):
Van if a song comes on that you do, have like,
say in your, rotation and it just happens to come
on the. Radio you keep, listening you change. IT i
change it BECAUSE i go BECAUSE i can listen to
that ANYTIME i want. To but, no there's something playing
somewhere THAT i don't. Have if Hold me now comes,
On i'll. Listen, WELL i know that because that's your theme.
Song BUT i Think i'm just saying IF i already

(01:39:36):
have it in recording and have access to it twenty
four to, seven and it comes on the, RADIO i change.

Speaker 4 (01:39:41):
Greg you have access to every song twenty four to.
Seven that's how the you.

Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
Know i'm talking about THAT i, Picked you've already picked.
IT i play. LIST i actually agree with the. LIST
i actually agree with the. TEXTURE i actually agree with the.
Texture if the song is happens to come on the
radio and it's something, SPONTANEOUS i wasn't expecting it for some.
REASON i dig the song. More If i'm watching a
movie and they use it in the, Movie i'm, like, yeah, yeah, sure,

(01:40:05):
Yeah so If i've got it in my playlist or,
WHATEVER i won't listen to another. Texture and we did
cover this, earlier AND i don't Know adler if they
need to refresh or. Something but somebody, said, hey Yesterday's
Bible study audio archive had a technical. Click it, did
but that's been. Resolved so the person on the, text
you are, right that did happen, yesterday but that has been.

(01:40:26):
Revolved you should be. Resolved you should be able to
go back to it now and it'd be. Fine.

Speaker 4 (01:40:30):
Yeah if it's fifty four minutes or so, long you
know you have the right.

Speaker 8 (01:40:34):
File for some, reason that file got corrupted and it
was thirty Thirty, yeah thirty two minutes, long though The
bible study is usually in around an. Hour if you
have a fifty three minutes and fifty two second, file
that's the right.

Speaker 4 (01:40:45):
One if it's thirty, minutes that's the wrong. One sorry about.

Speaker 8 (01:40:47):
That it should be.

Speaker 4 (01:40:48):
Replaced try refreshing.

Speaker 8 (01:40:50):
The page if you.

Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
Can there you go or check the.

Speaker 8 (01:40:52):
Link it's on our facebook, page The Rick Burgess show facebook.
Page we got the link. THERE i Think rick tweeted
it out as.

Speaker 3 (01:40:58):
Well yes, did all, Right so where are you? On Neil?
Young not a big. FAN i like. HIM i, like
you're not gonna like.

Speaker 4 (01:41:06):
This, well there was that whole Stupid spotify thing he
had that battle With. ROGAN i lost a lot of.

Speaker 3 (01:41:11):
Respect you're not gonna, like, well it's not getting better.
TODAY i think he's really his. Voice there's a couple
of songs he HAS i kind of LIKE i.

Speaker 8 (01:41:20):
WANT i like his songwriting much more than his.

Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
Delivery, yeah he's in that. Category BUT i did you
KNOW i. DID i Dig heart Of gold AND i
don't mind many old. MAN i Like rocket in The Free. World, yeah,
yes but what's after the Gold? Rush? YEAH i want

(01:41:45):
to that's that's my, childhood am radio and dad's. Truck, okay,
so but but here's the. Problem Neil young has already
upset us once with Southern southern, man and you remember
that he's In switch speaking Of Leondar. Skinner they called
him out for that that A southern man don't need
him around, anyhow even Though rodney went on to wear

(01:42:08):
A Neil young shirt at a live concert to say we're. Good,
yeah BECAUSE i think we may have been people With
skinner fans were out to Get Neil. Young sorry about
the death, Threats sorry about that way he's done it.
Again Neil young modern, day which you must be in his,
seventies oh, yeah has unveiled a new, Song adler Hang,
on Trashing Elon musk. Yep and it's one of those

(01:42:32):
when you take an old song and putting new lyrics. Over,
yeah oh did? HE i didn't. Know well Now i'm really.
Disappointed h And. Adler i'm sorry that some of the
lyrics in it say that only fascist should buy A
tesla's that's. GO i have it AND i, don't BUT
i think we might get get. BUSTED i don't. Know
let's roll.

Speaker 4 (01:42:52):
Again, yeah you can play it all.

Speaker 3 (01:42:54):
Cover it's it's a it's.

Speaker 4 (01:42:55):
Live he's seventy, nine by the, Way, yeah it's it's.

Speaker 3 (01:42:59):
Live BUT i can get to the lyrics. Here let's
see here you. GO i, Mean i'm there, Now, ricky.

Speaker 8 (01:43:11):
Let's roll.

Speaker 10 (01:43:12):
It.

Speaker 3 (01:43:14):
Greg i'm, sorry, yeah sorry about, this. Y'all he snaghs
around with the. Band he's just gonna showed.

Speaker 4 (01:43:26):
You don't know's the same.

Speaker 3 (01:43:37):
Runs real, yeah, Runs OH i can't even runs real,
clean little. Shallow come on, forward come, on gim come, On.
Chrysler let's roll.

Speaker 5 (01:43:48):
Again well that something special that people, need built, us
a safe way for us to, meet build us something
that won't kill our.

Speaker 3 (01:43:56):
Kids runs real. Clean this lad was made for you and.

Speaker 5 (01:44:01):
Me come, On, america let's getting the. Race Now china is.
Winning hey they're making clean, Cars, Neil, yeah you're seventy.
Nine i'd be preparing to, doe. SHOULDN'T i, mean that's
what you need to be spending. Time and he's been
in the music business a long.

Speaker 3 (01:44:19):
Time did you listen to the backing the, Musicians but
it sounds like some kids that have just learned a
few chords jing jing jing jing. Jing they probably, said,
hey he's got, something you'll roll with. Him you would
think that here in a rare, MOMENT i Feel adler
And Greg BURGESS u. Niney look at, them they're moving
is one audi?

Speaker 6 (01:44:39):
Now?

Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
YEAH i mean. It, yeah it sounded LIKE i got. It,
okay well it's just silly and and then back to
back to this, again. Eyebrow these are the same people
that told us What Elon, musk who led the way
in this, technology that what he was creating was the
way we all should. Go because it runs in their,

(01:45:00):
OPINION i think it has some flaws in, it it
runs clean. Well now Because Elon musk is part of the, Trumpetministration, okay,
who by the, way is trying to Help chrysler and
trying to help all the things That Neil young just
listed and there's been some of the highest ranking people
in the auto industry that are embracing What trump's doing

(01:45:21):
for the auto. Industry And Neil young somewhere at seventy
nine years old playing with some club band like you,
said or maybe some kids that are, learning and he's
out preaching to us that we need to have cars
that run clean and that only fascist drive electric cars
made By. Tesla what in the, WORLD i, mean there's
so many inconsistencies and those bizarre, lyrics and you didn't

(01:45:42):
even come up with an original. Song you just changed
This land as Our, land WHICH i didn't like. Anyway
did you like that? SONG i think that was from
that guy that was in THE i think he's featured
in the like a complete, unknown The Bob dylan. DEAL
i think he was a famous folk. Singer can't think
of his, name but, yes, no Not Woody, Pete, Yes pete.

(01:46:06):
Singer now you may be. Right guthrie may have actually
done This land Is. IRELAND i don't, know But Pete
Pete siggers WHO i was thinking. OF i know he
did the If ham in The. Morning he's, Real, yes,
yes a matter of, fact he got upset When bob
left the folks seeing and started doing using electric instruments
and all.

Speaker 8 (01:46:24):
That just the inconsistency of this is just it's it's
so frustrating BECAUSE i, mean it's it's about, honestly it's
about just. Control you have to agree with, us you
have to live what we. Say they're trying to push
evs on everybody until they decide they don't Like. Tesla's
they're all for women's, rights until they decide that women

(01:46:46):
that men can be in women's. Spaces it's just so,
inconsistent and it's about, control and you have to do
exactly how they, say follow exactly what they, say.

Speaker 3 (01:46:54):
Which sounds more like a. Fascist, yes, yes the follow the,
money tell you who you like and who you don't,
like that's. All and, uh you, know a tyrannical central
government is what they. Prefer it really is. Silly but
the reason why we said it a thousand times and
we'll say it again for those of you that are
building your, worldview you cannot be consistent if your worldview

(01:47:18):
is based on. Emotions it just is like a read
in the. Wind we're mad At we're mad At Elon.
Musk didn't he make those. Cars we've been, bragging we've
been telling everybody to drive, yep but we're not gonna
like his version of. It you talking about the leader
in the. Industry, nope we don't like him. ANYMORE i
thought we liked. Him not, anymore my slush. Fun i'm.
Wout it's. CRAZY i thought we were for women's. RIGHTS

(01:47:40):
i thought we were The party of advancement of women
until the transgender thing. Hit now we're at a bidon,
okay and work working through.

Speaker 4 (01:47:48):
It and he's back On.

Speaker 8 (01:47:49):
Spotify by the, Way Neil young got off spotifyy for
what six? Months he was, LIKE i need some, JACK
i need some.

Speaker 4 (01:47:54):
Pasture, Hey i'm gonna sneak back on A Spotify.

Speaker 3 (01:48:02):
Yes someone on the text. LINE i just looked At Neil.
YOUNG i don't think anyd's talk to anybody about being. Clean,
okay you.

Speaker 8 (01:48:09):
KNOW i must just done more for the green movement
than probably anyone on the. Planet we'll be.

Speaker 9 (01:48:16):
Back this is The Rick Burgess, Show The man Who

a poster it'd be us set standing beside the. Car

particular venue it may not, be but a lot of
times there's not a lot of spaces that go around
and an event like, that you're gonna probably have high

(01:51:26):
demand from them.

Speaker 5 (01:51:27):
Spots, yeah and, apparently And i'm getting word from different
people that have been at A U a h that's In, Huntsville,
alabama At Von Bryn center where The havoc. Play it's
in the it's in the hockey, arena and so they're,
like it might be blazing hot, outside but it's going
to be cold in. There so if you have people
to get, cold makes you bring awake it or a
sweater or a jack blanket.

Speaker 3 (01:51:48):
Something we're not talking about that kind of. COLD i
mean it's may now like a ball. Game they're, like,
please don't let the weather outside fool. You you're gonna
get in here and get. Cold do you have people
your family get?

Speaker 5 (01:52:00):
Cold daddy'll claim he's not cold and he'll be. Shivering i'm,
Fine i'm good.

Speaker 3 (01:52:07):
Shaking so, yeah with your, dad do you do you
describe to, him like When jac's coming across, stage you'll
here he, Comes, dad he's walking across adding it to.

around us, too because he'll he'll think out. Loud, YEAH
i don't want to be, insensitive but you, know this
is something that would garner a lot of precious pictures
that you only get one shot.

Speaker 13 (01:52:41):
At.

Speaker 3 (01:52:41):
Yeah have you gotten to where you can get your
dad to look at the? Camera? Yeah.

Voice if that makes? Anything it really, does and he'll say. It,
actually Sometimes mom just grabs his chin and turns.

It it's even.

Speaker 3 (01:52:59):
Better he has a good time with. It of course
he loves. IT i would.

Speaker 5 (01:53:03):
BE i would be so frustrated IF i was him
from time to time because IF i call, HIM i
know he's not going to, answer and then he'll call
me right back.

Speaker 3 (01:53:10):
And GO i can't answer this. Phone i'm sorry because
he's swiping the wrong end or. SOMETHING i love, HIM

can ask he can Ask siri to do, anything will?
You but don't you know how he? Does? Greg, yeah
don't don't worry everybody to death and and just, No

dad and then he'll go in to all. That he'll
feel like he's explained everything about. Detail you.

Speaker 5 (01:54:22):

being there and wanted to show honor to his. Grandson
you better be glad you're not in the studio it.
Is but but, anyway so it's going to be a

greg you Got, adler and we look forward to spending

(01:59:17):
more time with. You All, Right so we've covered a
lot today and if you miss, that you can go
back and catch it on the daily. Archives, also Yesterday's
Wednesday bible study did have a, glitch and if you
need to go back and catch the audio, archive the

(01:59:37):
video archive is, fine but the audio archive did have
a glitch in, It so if you want to go
back and refresh, that try. Again or really the link
you have still should, work or the link that we
put out yesterday on social media should still. Work so,
anyway JUST, fyi that has been resolved By. Adler so
when you start talking about the world of, allergies you,

(02:00:03):
know and and you, Know i've often talked about this
a lot when people struggle with, ALLERGIES i mean the
straight up. PEOPLE i MEAN i get mild inconveniences of
these And speedy you And i've talked about this WHERE
i FELT i never had allergies, ever never dealt with. Them,
Uh and then WHEN i got, older SUDDENLY i started
getting things that felt like, allergies And i'm, like, what
what what is this all? About And i've never had

(02:00:25):
that before in my.

Speaker 9 (02:00:25):
Life.

Speaker 3 (02:00:26):
Yeah, so. Uh but you, know people who truly struggle with,
allergies And i've worked with, them have been around them,
there they'll never just say they're. Sick they it's always their,
Always so what's going with? You don't sound? Good they
justice my, allergies, uh you, Know and and it appears
that no matter what time of year it, is there's
always something that is bothering their. Allergies so, so, anyway

(02:00:50):
one of the things you you've heard about is, honey,
honey natural honey honey uh an allergy. Relief do these
two really go? Together, well apparently there's been some some
research that is done on, this and the scientific studies
are coming in that indicate that honey may indeed help

(02:01:13):
relieve some of the pesky discomforts of seasonal. Allergies but this,
research they, say is far from. Definitive honey does have
health benefits because of you, know it's unique chemical chemicals
and everything that's in, it and then all about the botanical.
Fingerprint that's why they do local. Honey you, know you

(02:01:35):
should use what you. Have and and now they do
say in this, study this is going to make some
of you local. Honey people really feel good that when
if you just go to the store and just buy commercial,
honey it lacks the pollens and the enzymes that other
beneficial compounds might have that are, helpful meaning they're off

(02:02:00):
pasteurized and ultra, filter so that may not be as,
beneficial might taste, good but as far as what they're
doing for your, health not a. Lot and so the
local honey thing, there they say in the, studies there
is something to that because of the botanical plants. Fingerprint

(02:02:21):
this honey was made around the things that that are
in your.

Speaker 5 (02:02:24):
ENVIRONMENT i don't, honey, RICK i don't dislike. Honey SOMETIMES
i just forget to use. Honey you, know that's a good.
Point i'm the same. Way if you, say, great do
you like?

Speaker 3 (02:02:32):
HONEY i, go. Yeah But i've NEVER i don't know
If i've ever had a bottle of honey in my. House. What,
YEAH i use honey almost every. DAY i can tell
YOU i like.

Speaker 4 (02:02:40):
It raw, guys raw, milk raw.

Speaker 8 (02:02:42):
Honey let's do.

Speaker 4 (02:02:42):
It let's bring.

Speaker 3 (02:02:43):
It you don't drink raw milkause do? It you don't
drink raw. MILK i want to get your. Cat you
won't the, cow get your cat right off.

Speaker 4 (02:02:52):
The little Warm, yeah but it's a female, cow so
it's not.

Speaker 3 (02:02:56):
Weird oh my. Goodness well, yeah if you're if you're
trying to get milk from a, male, yeah you, got.

Speaker 6 (02:03:05):
You.

Speaker 3 (02:03:05):
GOT i mean he may follow you, around but you you.
Don't you've not accomplished.

Speaker 8 (02:03:08):
ANYTHING i would like to try raw. Milk would you'
all drink raw?

Speaker 13 (02:03:12):
Milk?

Speaker 4 (02:03:12):
NO i would come, on don't.

Speaker 3 (02:03:14):
Be this is going to get me a text from.
Bones the.

Speaker 4 (02:03:17):
Pasturization it's so much good stuff you.

Speaker 3 (02:03:20):
Guys, yeah but also gets rid of stuff that kills you.
WHAT i don't. Know so here's the bottom lewd pastor
didn't like. It here's the bottom. Line local. Honey it's
preferred over commercial. Honey it's rich in antioxidants and has
an anti bacterial property that can help soothe sore throats and. Calls,

(02:03:44):
however it still cannot rid you completely of your. Allergies
have some benefits on the on the on the. SYMPTOMS
i need a good local honey. Place, yeah there's.

Speaker 5 (02:03:54):
ONE i drive by one on the way. Home now
you want a good honey? Place, yeah BECAUSE i THINK
i need? So like, UH i was making some coffee For.
Andy andrews when he's coming through and he puts honey
in his. Coffee we, HAD i, said did?

Speaker 3 (02:04:07):
We we didn't have to.

Speaker 11 (02:04:08):
Know it was very.

Speaker 5 (02:04:09):
UNCOMFORTABLE i didn't drink, FORGOT i forgot to get we
got to restock on. You he left his, cup but he,
said don't. Know it's really good AND i have never tried.
It but like people put like honey on stuff instead of.
Syrup it's a healthy. Choice AND i just.

Speaker 3 (02:04:25):
Don't we just don't. HAVE i love, honey, AVAIL i love.
HONEY i find it to be, messy stick a little,
sticky so that bothers me a little.

Speaker 8 (02:04:33):
BIT i bought the big old mason jar this right,
here and Then i'll actually not on a mason jar
or whatever glass, jars big old, jar and Then i'll
actually pour it into one of those smaller squeeze bears
to make it easier to.

Speaker 3 (02:04:46):
Dispense, now how local does it have to? Be within
a county or two oral or just the? Region AND
i can't remember? WHAT i can't remember. Either, well they're
they're saying that it does. Help it doesn't eliminate, allergies
but it does up and it doesn't matter what honey you.
Get the study has confirmed that which we've always. Heard
And i'm telling, you, guys we drive right past, one

(02:05:08):
because you'll go a different. Way if you went toward my,
house you go right by. One i've seen them out
there in the bee sits getting it. Out you need
to start keeping bees these.

Speaker 4 (02:05:19):
Eggs, YEAH i want. BEES i want chickens and maybe even.

Speaker 8 (02:05:22):
Goats. Y'all, THERE i was just driving around forget, What,

softball game. Downtown and there is a, store the bee's supply.

Speaker 9 (02:05:35):
Store.

Speaker 8 (02:05:35):
Yes and by the, way, y'all remember when we were
worried about the, bees worried.

Speaker 4 (02:05:39):
About the bee popular it was the end of.

Speaker 8 (02:05:41):
Time, evidently these bee, hobbyists all these local people setting
up their own little bee, hives have really turned around
the bee. Population But i'm, Driving i'm driving.

Speaker 3 (02:05:50):
To see at the little stop full way, stop.

Speaker 8 (02:05:53):
It's a be it's a bee keeping supply. Store and
they also sell local. Honey so there's your honey. Spot
there's aney thirty. Miles, also saw got to be within thirty.

Speaker 3 (02:06:04):
Miles Former Mayor marge, Says Helena hardware has, Uh i'm local. Honey, uh,
yes says.

Speaker 5 (02:06:11):
Uh let's see, Here Helena hardware has homegrown. Honey by the,
WAY i actually bought a full thing of. Honey should
have said that because now to be sold out back
during the.

Speaker 3 (02:06:21):
Winter you read the cone, yes so that we would have,
it you, know for like your voice was struggling or,
whatever BECAUSE i have you put it into hot tea
and all, that and somebody ate all of. It it's
all one way AND i only used like a very
small part of it and it. Vanished, okay people still you?

Speaker 7 (02:06:58):

Speaker 3 (02:06:59):
Supplies i'm thinking about. It would you be interested to?
Know would you be interested to know that my wife
has actually gone and taken classes and uh is certified
to be a beekeeper the time out and you've not
told us that at one time there's there was some

(02:07:20):
consideration that maybe at one time she may want to
do local, honey but she's always she gets on these.
Things and and and THEN i was so GLAD i
find somebody to.

Speaker 12 (02:12:13):
Him?

Speaker 3 (02:12:13):
Fantastic, okay didn't know anything about. Him do you consider
it was a little kind of a shuffle kind of?
Thing did you did you think That Levon.

Speaker 8 (02:12:23):
Helm's if we're if we're going to talk people that
played the drums and sang at the same, Time Leon,
hems there's nobody He's he's one of my.

Speaker 3 (02:12:31):
Heroes of music and the way he plays and. Sings
he's not playing simple, things you, know and it's not
some big drum solo With, pyro but the, SHUFFLING i,
mean just try to stay with him on the night
they DROVE O dixie. Down it's hard to know sometimes
it's hard to even know when to come in and
he's hitting it right and the guys are coming. In
SO i think that would be a one to consider

(02:12:54):
absolutely as far as, uh you, know style and. Difficult,
yeah let me.

Speaker 5 (02:13:00):
Ask you a question because it always comes, up And i'm,
sorry But Rick allen with Def, Leppard.

Speaker 3 (02:13:05):
Well if you're playing with one, ARM i, mean BUT
i NEVER i never hear y'all mention. Him is? That
is it just that he? Was he's, good but yet
what he was able to do was.

Speaker 5 (02:13:14):
Extraordinary but he wasn't a great, drummer BECAUSE i don't
ever hear y'all bring him.

Speaker 3 (02:13:18):
Up he was we're also arm before he lost his.
Arm he was In he joined them when he was
like fifteen years, old, right so he Must did you
consider him to be an elite?

Speaker 9 (02:13:27):
Drummer?

Speaker 3 (02:13:28):
THOUGH i don't? Know and what and when they had
to do the electronics with the without the, ARM i
think it's still impressive what he's. Doing, so but, yeah he's.
AMAZING i don't see how you can get your brain.
Too he basically replaced what he did with one arm
with his. Foot, yeah that's. Amazing and you have to
put the text that nation is. Right you have to

(02:13:48):
put animal from The Muppet. Show, yeah definitely, there he's in.
There do you Consider Phil collins to be a good?

Speaker 8 (02:13:54):
Drummer he's an average. Drummer BUT i, MEAN i Love Phil,
collins but he is an average. Drummer and if you
go and Watch I've got this live uh in the
air tonight that for some REASON i watch all the,
time and there is another drummer if you, look so
he's got.

Speaker 3 (02:14:10):
He's come down front to. Sing.

Speaker 9 (02:14:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:14:13):
Uh do y'all think that? Sometimes?

Speaker 5 (02:14:16):
Yeah do y'all think everybody that's elite like that or
that is in a household name it's with a.

Speaker 3 (02:14:21):
Band don't you think they're all? Good?

Speaker 5 (02:14:23):
Though that's LIKE i laugh when somebody that plays in
THE nfl Or Major league baseballer in THE, nba they, go,
man they.

Speaker 3 (02:14:29):
Suck, no they don't. Suck they wouldn't be. There, yes they.
Suck did we Give Ginger? BAKER i don't know. THAT
i never saw heard. HIM i didn't really And i've
signed it like cream all that. MUCH i didn't. Either
i've seen videos Of Buddy rich because a lot of
people good.

Speaker 4 (02:14:43):
Credit, Yeah Buddy rich is you got to put him up.

Speaker 3 (02:14:45):
There you know who you might put on there and
it may surprise you Is Karen. Carpenter he's. Good have
you ever seen her?

Speaker 9 (02:14:50):
Plug?

Speaker 3 (02:14:51):
Yes, hey let me tell you she's, good.

Speaker 5 (02:14:54):
Super, Time Bud, Rich, Toto Jeff, yeah tough Last.

Speaker 8 (02:15:00):
Yeah Elite tom, session elit an elite session. Drummer, okay all,
right but you got to almost look at their contribution
to music as a.

Speaker 4 (02:15:09):
Whole And, greg that's a great. Call Buddy, rich he's
one of he's a founding.

Speaker 3 (02:15:13):
Father, YES i Mean i've said. There, yeah we continue
unscreen phone. Calls you're on The Rick Birders. Show go, Ahead, hey.

Speaker 11 (02:15:21):

Speaker 10 (02:15:24):
Now we got bees chickens wearing a cow share for raw,
milk and also got some goats to make me about
thirty to forty. K, look.

Speaker 3 (02:15:36):
We Continue Rick Birders, show unscreen phone. Calls Go, yeah
guess you didn't Mention Don.

Speaker 6 (02:15:42):
HENDLEY i think he's pretty good, drummer and of course,
things what's a really good.

Speaker 3 (02:15:46):
Singer, well he's a good. SINGER i don't think he's
an elite. Drummer, THOUGH i don't think he's an elite.
DRUMMER i Mean i'm. Bad he's not, bad but his
stuff he does when you're, watching it's not all that.
Difficult he's a groove.

Speaker 8 (02:15:57):
Drummer he's.

Speaker 3 (02:15:57):
Talented, yeah life in the fast line probably that has
some stops and. Goes uh we, continue uh unscreen phone.
Calls you're on The Rick burgess. Show go. AHEAD i
got a. Question what's y'all thought about people buying hurst
and driving around as their normal everyday. Vehicle speedy would
do it if it was. Cheap what do YOU i,

(02:16:20):
mean why would you need? That, yeah somebody just probably
gotta be bought, one bought one on one of these trade. Things, Yes,
uh it would be weird for. Me it would be
weird for. Me you, Know i've driven station bands as
my main. Vehicle not a. PROBLEM a hearse is WHERE
i draw the.

Speaker 6 (02:16:36):
LINE i.

Speaker 3 (02:16:37):
DON'T i don't THINK i can drive around and a
used hearse now because you're. Not it's the back's not
tall enough to stand up or sit. Up you have
to lay down.

Speaker 4 (02:16:45):
Back you may, GOODNESS i found one.

Speaker 3 (02:16:47):
Locally you make h you make everybody kind of crazy. Uncomfortable, yes,
yea so, YEAH i wouldn't before. That and they can't
get very good gas? Mileage do they hard to part twelfth?

Speaker 8 (02:16:59):
Out Then i'm.

Speaker 3 (02:17:00):
MAD i knew. It we'll be right.

Speaker 9 (02:17:02):
Back this is The Rick Burgess show in a world

(02:17:25):
that has gone. Nuts they are here too well to
point it. Up The Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (02:17:34):
Show all, right here we, Go we're. Back somebody From
Texas nation had a buddy in high school worked for
his uncle in the summer who owned a funeral, home
and he drove a hearse to summer workouts every. Day
he was a monster of an offensive lineman and he

(02:17:55):
would drive up in a hearse for. Workouts everything that's,
good by the. Way so so, anyway and of course
a lot of discussions about various, drummers Some i've never heard.
Of but, anyway so if you Go Mount, rushmore, though
we're talking about, elite elite only not JUST i like
a drummery that drummer is pretty. Good you're getting down
to the elite and one texture there probably a little

(02:18:18):
late to the. Conversation Neil pert was the very first.
One we. Said, okay so a couple of things happening
in the world Of trump in the first one hundred. Days,
okay so we've covered some of, that but there's some
more facts coming out. Now So Press Secretary Caroline levitt

(02:18:40):
just is going to talk about and the claim that
she is going to, make AND i guess you could
research it and see if it's, true is that in
the first one hundred days of The trump, Administration trump's
administration has secured more investment in one hundred days Than
biden did in four. Years so here here Is Caroline,

(02:19:01):
Levitt Press secretary for The trump.

Speaker 19 (02:19:04):
Administration President trump has secured more investments in The United
states Of america in one hundred days Than Joe biden
did in four. Years President trump Is america's businessman in,
chief and that's why these trillions of dollars in investments
are flooding to our. Country the business community is bullish
On america Because President trump is back in. Charge, tomorrow

(02:19:26):
The president will host CEOs and leaders from several companies
that have made these investments to tout their historic commitments
to our country and encourage others to follow. Suit Under President,
trump there has never been a better time to invest In.
America and The president finally said enough is enough and
refused to Allow america and our workers to be ripped

(02:19:46):
off any. Longer on, Trade President trump implemented powerful tariffs
to end the era of economic surrender and to Rebalance
america's trading. Agreements more than one hundred countries have already
come to the table looking to offer there are more
favorable terms For america and our. People there has never
been a president who has created his own leverage like this,

(02:20:07):
president and we are just getting. Started republicans In congress
are getting very close to Passing President Trump's One Big Beautiful,
bill which will include the largest tax cuts In american,
history strong border security, measures major military, advancements dramatic, deregulation
and common sense spending. Reforms As President trump has said,
before the best is yet to.

Speaker 3 (02:20:28):
Come well there you. Go of, COURSE i love the
fact That Trump's press secretary refers to the bill as
the big Beautiful.

Speaker 9 (02:20:36):
Bill it's.

Speaker 3 (02:20:37):
Beautiful so the next thing we'll See Fox news is.
TALKING i know there's been a lot of conversation, good,
bad ugly involving. Tariffs do they, work will they? Work
are they? Working will they eventually? Work do you have
to kind of ride out the? Storm all? That, Well
Fox news has an. Update this tariff thing has, begun

(02:21:00):
need to take a turn for the, positive And Fox
news says the doubters are starting to look. Bad so
here they.

Speaker 20 (02:21:06):
Are it looks like the tariffs don't.

Speaker 14 (02:21:09):
Work.

Speaker 20 (02:21:09):
Crowd Oh's President trump a big. Apology tariff revenue just smashed.
Records fifteen point nine billion dollars collected so far this month.
Alone The White house says it's close to a trade.
Deal but in the, meantime the money is starting to roll.

Speaker 4 (02:21:23):
In, Hello so there you.

Speaker 3 (02:21:25):
Go so fifty nine billion tariff's brought in in a,
month is that?

Speaker 4 (02:21:29):
Correct fifteen point nine?

Speaker 3 (02:21:31):
Billion fifteen zero point nine, Billion so that's you, know
if you were looking at, revenue that's not bad. Revenue
and you see him being willing to make some adjustments
if he sees something that maybe is a little maybe
a little, aggressive he's willing to back off a little,
bit move things. Around but the bottom line is back

(02:21:51):
to what The press secretary is, saying no matter how
you feel about one party versus the, other this administration
seems to be aggressively trying to Get americans better deals
than we've ever. Had at least they're getting after. It
and you're gonna you're gonna have some things that you you,
know you're gonna break a few things here and, there
and you're gonna have to come back in the just

(02:22:11):
and they seem to be willing to do, that but
aggressively trying to Put america in with a little in
places of leverage at least even the playing field WITH
us and the rest of the. World, yeah these.

Speaker 8 (02:22:23):
These tariffs are reciprocal, tariffs meaning we're just tariffing people
back because we had these set ups Since World War
two to help countries get back up on their.

Speaker 4 (02:22:32):
FEET i think that was a while.

Speaker 8 (02:22:33):
Ago, yeah and you have to be careful of some
of these stats that these left mainstream media outlets are
putting out, there like they were citing how tourism to
The United states is way way. Down it's horrifically. Down
look at these, stats look at these, numbers but it's,
uh they purposely put those stats out during this time
Because easter fell on like a weird week this or this.

Speaker 4 (02:22:54):
Year you, Know easter was at a weird.

Speaker 8 (02:22:55):
Time so if they compared other, weekends, oh look at last.
Year this, year that's Because easter landed on this.

Speaker 4 (02:23:02):
Year so those numbers are being manipulated a, lot and
you're going to.

Speaker 8 (02:23:05):
Hear a lot of bad news BECAUSE i think there
are people on the left that Want america to fail
because they Want trump to fail so, bad and that
is just that's an evil stance to.

Speaker 7 (02:23:14):
Take.

Speaker 3 (02:23:15):
WELL i know one Time limball had to explain that
when he was still, living because he had said that
he hoped that the current administration that was in power
would not be. Successful and then he was, said do
you not Want america to do? Well he, said, no,
NO i don't want the things that this party is
implementing to become our country BECAUSE i know in the

(02:23:37):
long haul that that will be detrimental to the. Country
WHAT i meant by that IS i hope, that, say
someone who leans more on a socialist point of, view larger,
government higher, Taxes he, SAID i hope they're not successful
in implementing the things that they stand. For SO i
guess you could counter that and come back and, say,
Well i'm so Anti trump and so anti what you'll.

(02:24:00):
BELIEVE i disagree with. Y'all SO i think the country
would be better off if what y'are trying to do
was not. Successful so that's how they would explain. It
and because And i'm not saying that's, accurate because if
it's working and we're better, OFF i don't know that
any of us can say.

Speaker 6 (02:24:17):
THAT i.

Speaker 3 (02:24:18):
DON'T i don't see anybody on the left or the
right that can ever acknowledge that the other party did something.
Correctly but that's really what this is. About we're to
the point now if we didn't do, it then we
can't before. It BUT i think that there's a little
bit of that on both, sides if you're being. Honest.
Yeah but SO i can understand where people can, SAY
i think all this is. Wrong some people love an open,

(02:24:42):
border some people some people love bad trade. Deals some
people love high taxes until they have to pay them
and then they get around. Them but, so you, know
sometimes it's just different political world. Views AND i know
we get down to, say, well something either works or it,
doesn't something's either better or it's. Not, yeah that's in

(02:25:03):
the that's in the real world and in a world
of common. Sense but when it gets into to people's
my niacal views on their their, ideology it doesn't work that.

Speaker 10 (02:25:14):
Way.

Speaker 3 (02:25:14):
Yeah now we've talked about.

Speaker 5 (02:25:16):
This what ten to ten to fifteen years, ago we
lost the ability to maybe debate and disagree but yet
still be for the same. Goal now now it's IF
i IF i disagree with you OR i debate, you
NOW i have to hate, you write you, off call
you a, racist, nazi you know, whatever and disown.

Speaker 13 (02:25:35):
You.

Speaker 5 (02:25:35):
Uh we can't just disagree but yet still be for
the same, thing and that is Make america great and
be for you, know the.

Speaker 3 (02:25:43):
Truth the.

Speaker 5 (02:25:44):
Truth, yes it just is now now IT'S i, mean
and that's not just in. Politics it's always been that
way in. Politics i'm just talking about in regular life
one friends or coworkers or family. Members now we just
can't sit there and debate and disagree.

Speaker 8 (02:26:00):
And speaking of the, truth hiding the, truth fudging. NUMBERS
i really want to report the. TRUTH i want to
talk about what is actually going. ON i am not
trying to be a shill for. ANYBODY i want to
actually talk about what's going on like When biden's administration
that the big major cities in the country stopped reporting
murders and violent crimes so That biden could then say

(02:26:21):
nationwide crime is, down murders are. Down how is That?

Speaker 4 (02:26:25):
Okay that is?

Speaker 8 (02:26:25):
Evil you are sweeping murders and horrible violent crimes under the.
Rug that is that is that's about as evil as
you can. Get another thing that another staff that The
left is throwing out like crazy right now is a
recent report talking about how OUR gdp are projected DEEP
gdp for quarter one and this year is, down and it.

(02:26:46):
Is but the thing is they don't talk about is
THAT gdp does NOT gdp is influenced by. Imports SO
gdp is imports are subtracted from YOUR. Gdp and if
you look at what happened with the, tariffs everybody was
trying to get ahead of these tariffs to get their
products into The United, states so imports went. Crazy thus

(02:27:08):
OUR gdp went down because of how it is. Calculated
SO gdp doesn't necessarily equal people's bank, accounts working class
people's month to month, Bills so you have to be
very careful about reporting on. Numbers and LIKE i, said
we're just trying to search for the truth and report the.
Truth and that's not being truthful when you point to
certain things only on certain days and certain.

Speaker 3 (02:27:30):
Occasions, yeah, no you're, right and that's. Great we was
talking about that. Yesterday he, said here's what we're going
to have on the first one hundred. Days The trump
administration is going to present numbers that say it was.
Great then The laft's going to come up with numbers
like you're talking about at or and not tell the whole.
Story that will then come back and say, no it's.
Not and somewhere in, there you have to do more,
homework and we As american, People i'm as guilty of

(02:27:51):
it as. Anybody sometimes you just don't want to make
the effort to get in there and. Dig you just
want to be told.

Speaker 9 (02:27:56):

Com all, right so let me ask you a. Question
if would any of you scramble around.

Speaker 6 (02:28:32):
For a?

Speaker 3 (02:28:33):
DIME i, mean you, know we. Don't we don't have
a lot of change much. ANYMORE i don't what would
would like if, somebody you, know if you if you
saw like paper, money but, dimes dimes with a lot
of but we got a lot. Of you go ahead
to there's a semi truck carrying. Coins a crash of

(02:28:53):
a dime. Truck and this is In North texas on
a on A North, Texas texas, highway and in this
eighteenane wheeler was carrying millions of, dimes millions of, dimes
overturned a million in the southbound, lane uh and then
scattered dimes all over the highway all. Over BUT i

(02:29:14):
don't know That i'm going to put myself at risk
on a highway gathering. Dimes now you ask how many
dimes you'd have to get for it to really? Matter
do you realize what you're gonna have to put it
in something to carry? Heavy at some point.

Speaker 5 (02:29:28):
Greg officials had to collect to collect them all with
their bare, hands no vacuums and.

Speaker 3 (02:29:35):
Rakes what a? Mess? Millions what about on that? Point
go you got to go clean that. Up would you
like to know how many eight, million eight million dimes
eight hundred thousand, dollars eight hundred thousand, dollars dollars of,
dimes of, DIMES a lot of, dimes, guys if you
got a thousand dollars they missed a, Few yes they.

Speaker 8 (02:29:56):
Didn't if you've got a thousand dollars worth of, dimes
you'd be carrying fifty pounds on your.

Speaker 3 (02:30:00):
Back oh, Wow, okay how many dimes do any of
you currently have in your, position like right sitting here
or in my, truck in your, truck how many dimes
do you have access? To not a? LOT i, got
not a lot of Down still a good bit of QUARTERS.

Speaker 11 (02:30:16):
I.

Speaker 5 (02:30:16):
HAVE i have a little change spot in my truck
that's kind of loaded a little. Bit and then you
had the classic cup full of.

Speaker 8 (02:30:22):
Them you use, cash and you were getting when do
you all use? Cash and you're getting pennies and nicholas and.

Speaker 3 (02:30:28):
RARELY i, stopped get like a bar or something like.
That you want just you, want just use your? Card
now IF i have, CASH i. Won't, yeah BUT i.
CAN'T i can't count the number of times total. Cash
the only time THAT i need cash is in like
in a ballet. Situation and now they're getting where you
they'll let you do it with a card.

Speaker 9 (02:30:48):
Too, yes that girl.

Speaker 3 (02:30:50):
Scout cookies.

Speaker 4 (02:30:53):
Where you can swap you think, SO i think.

Speaker 6 (02:30:56):
So.

Speaker 3 (02:30:56):
WELL i tried to go into a tournament for six
year old and under and they wanted. Cash, yeah, yeah
they do, so AND i, SAID i don't have. CASH
i GUESS i can leave and go get some and she,
Said i'll just go. Ahead, Okay, oh well. Done but
they got a change because they're gonna struggle most change
and they don't take. Cash let's just really confuse him

(02:31:17):
because the regular season it don't cost, nothing but if
you're in a, tournament it costs. Them you taught me
the term two. Blocked if you want to two, block
somebody bring out cash right? Now OH i, KNOW i
don't know what to do with. It so they just
look at you, like can you not make? Change?

Speaker 5 (02:31:32):
Okay so the most Change i've seen in a very
long time is my Cousin. Lisa, okay now she's, uh
you're taking a? Graduation, yes that's. Right she's an adult,
disabled uh Female, lisa who's my?

Speaker 3 (02:31:48):
Age and CAN i clarify since that you speedyes saying?
Disabled write this? Time she doesn't have diabetes? Right?

Speaker 5 (02:31:55):
Correct and you know she was she's home bound in other,
words she's you, know she but she's smart enough to
walk around and function and get her something to, eat
but you, know can't drive or do banking or anything like.
That and and so when my Aunt lee passed, away
she now is my parents and part of moving all
of some of her stuff over to my parents' place
was had to get all her. Coins and so she

(02:32:17):
gets A tv tray out and puts it right in their.
Lap and then she'll get coins out and she'll just
count count the, coins and then she'll put them back
in there and. Whatever and she has so many, dimes
guys is so. Heavy she's got pennies and nickels and.
Die she's got them all separated in their own little.

(02:32:38):
Jar it's a glass, jar pretty.

Speaker 9 (02:32:40):
BIG i like.

Speaker 5 (02:32:41):
This she's organized and she's very, organized very, organized and
and and so she'll sit there and she'll count them
and you can hear them clanking on THE tv and tray,
clean clean, clean And dad has a good time with.
THEM i don't, know but, y'all it's a lot like
if you were to make it. UP i, mean you
might be able to grab, it but most time you're

(02:33:02):
gonna have to grab it and put a hand underneath.

Speaker 3 (02:33:04):
It it's that. Heavy we got a big jar in
the laundry room AND i let it go for years
and this thing is, huge and like you, say it
was so, Heavy WELL i GOT i. Had i've already said, this,
son it's a real. Pet it was like five hundred
and thirty. Bucks, no what change the, well no. Way,
yeah so you just answered my question for. You how
much change has to gather before you'll go to the

(02:33:25):
hassle of. Cashing evidently five hundred for five hundred. Something,
Yeah i've never done, that but you so you take
it to the machine and put it. In i've done
that way this. Time my sister in law she had
a little hand, crankling, oh ropping in yourself and hand crying, ie,
yes that is not the. Machine see the machine was
better that my. Bank, well one of the PLACES i
bank had the machine in. There oh, Okay well now

(02:33:47):
they took it. Out so now you got to go
to the grocery store and you look like a goober up.
There you, Know well that hangs. Up you got to
go get the person behind the desk to come out
and unhang.

Speaker 6 (02:33:55):
It.

Speaker 3 (02:33:56):
You so he used to the word. Goober you that means, Booger,
right you look like a. Booger the, uh that's not
how greg. Men AND i was just gonna tell you that. Goofy,
yeah Like, Maybury, ADLER i want. You some people are,
saying will you will you take? Changing and When dixie
because she Missed. Jerry.

Speaker 4 (02:34:13):
Yeah, yeah so they started up that.

Speaker 8 (02:34:16):
Coinstar oh my, goodness back in my cash days in.
College BUT i don't use cash really much.

Speaker 5 (02:34:21):
Anymore so they're saying the the the overturned eighteen whill or.
Whatever the the dimes equaled about eight hundred.

Speaker 3 (02:34:27):
Thousand, yeah that's WHAT i. Said you say THAT i
did eight million of, them eight hundred thousand. Dollars that's
a lot of, dimes. Folks my. Goodness back to what you, Said.
Adler if you're If i'm trying to gather them on the,
spiel first of, all that's. Dishonest they aren't. Mine but
let's just say it was a free for. All and they, said,
y'all can you said for me to get a thousand,
DOLLARS i gotta have fifty pounds of. It, yes that's a.

(02:34:49):
Lot now Now i'm hauling around with some deer.

Speaker 4 (02:34:52):
Feet, yeah so the crew just picking them up out
of the.

Speaker 8 (02:34:55):
Dirty.

Speaker 5 (02:34:56):
Yeah the crews worked until way after not and in
the highway it created major traffic issues because the highway was.

Speaker 9 (02:35:04):
Closed.

Speaker 3 (02:35:05):
There CAN i tell you something that is that you?
Know because things that's impossible, listen tedious things drive me
up the, wall AND i know THAT i need. Help
that would be the biggest nightmare for me for somebody to, say, hey,
birds you got to go sit down on the shoulder
of the highway and find all the. Dimes, lord help
that person Was i'm sitting, There i'm just picking them

(02:35:27):
up by. Hand you realize how long That now you
got that big vacuum the hed, going but you know
it sucks up stuff that you don't. Need would you
rather have to do that for one day or have
RF K junior's voice for six? Months we keep Throwing
i'm going with this. Voice i'm going with this voice
on this. ONE i can do that six. Months in
that long it'll. Go it'll go By fay told. Me

(02:35:48):
but it'd be a hell of a day. Terrible can
you imagine? Today? THINGS i, mean you might as well
tell me to do word. Search you walk up and
you got some kind that's a pass to, do and
you look at it and go that's. IMPOSSIBLE i can't do.
It that's my Cousin lisa right. There look at these
text in their their.

Speaker 8 (02:36:05):
Coins dimes are not. Magnetic if you're wondering why they
didn't take a magnet, through their dimes are not.

Speaker 3 (02:36:10):
MAGNET i had To sherry one. Time she threw out
like ruven now. That she, SAID i once you out
there today and let's pick up all the pine? CONS i,
said pick up all the? Pinecons?

Speaker 10 (02:36:22):

in a, moment you're gonna have parents with a kid
crying From sweet two hundred going our. Kids pet turtle
got out as anybody seen, Him and think about. That
it is odd that he was out of a. Backpack,

and nearly had a track. Ending, yeah. Nearly he nearly

(03:07:02):
died On greg's Under greg's, Foot well you, WERE i
forgot he was in. Here now you're so. OBSERVANT i
don't want the turtle to be, gone AND i would
hate it for that to be the. End but there's
a sick side of, me because you, know we live
our lives in a constant battle with. Ourselves IF i
had just kept my mouth shut and not uncontrollably said

(03:07:25):
you're about to step On franklin BECAUSE i care too.
MUCH i think you're. Right IF i just kept my
mouth shut And greg would have stepped on that turtle
and with horrible scene video of, it horrible, scene but
radio go would have been, yes, yes yesht me just say.
Yes the fact that the ice cream Calls greg to
completely forget about, It YEAH i. COULD i. COULDN'T i

Speaker 3 (03:08:11):
DON'T i got. Through i'm. Coming they didn't even have a. Card,
no it didn't have access code or. Nothing. Hm what
if somebody was cleaning out their, office because that happens
a lot. Here don't run in the right fanastic and
that is such a Good But i'm talking. About what

(03:08:33):
if somebody was cleaning out their office and it was oh,
that because that happens here a, lot and maybe somebody's
a little terrarium with a, turtle and the turtle crawl
out of the. Box can anybody explain to me how
a turtle comes through shut? Doors because you would, say what,
people it could dash, in but it's not the type
of animal that. Dashes it had the door has no.

(03:08:55):
Cracks turtles are not known for. Dashing they're pretty.

wondering what's happening To Henry, Ruggs Remember, Henry, Yeah i'm in.

(03:11:34):
Jail it's. Controlled whatever is, happening uh he tragic, story tragic,
story or somebody lost their, life horrible. Story h had
had had everything you would think you would. Want i'm
a star at The university Of. Alabama on my first round.
Pick drafted by The raiders and then and then then
the horrific vehicular homicide. Charge. Uh and he's in, prison,

(03:11:57):
yep but there's for some reason From fox And You
today Dot com an update On Henry ruggs says he's
training in prison for a POTENTIAL nfl. Return how long
Is henry in think till year? Six, Okay august maybe
something like, that, Right so they're saying that you Remember

(03:12:19):
Josh jacobs who play for The. Raiders, yes that's, Right,
yeah it's. Homeless so he said That ruggs is scheduled
to be parolled In august of twenty twenty. Six so
there you. Go, yeah he was on a PODCAST i
think just mentioned, it and that he is in inside
the prison of course there you, know you ever, know inside,

(03:12:40):
prison sometimes nothing Gets Henry AND i hope he gets
his life back. Together AND i hate what. Happened But
i've always kind of thought to, myself should we be
allowing prisoners to work out like this and get jacked
and and and they seem to be getting, bigger, stronger
more difficult to deal with in. Prison it's almost like
we're just, yeah y'all go over and work out and get.
Stronger and and and and more more. Dangerous. UH i

(03:13:04):
mean we WANT i want them to have good, health
but maybe we should have stick with. NUTRITION i also
and maybe maybe do a little moving. AROUND i heard
that the warden has got a football, team a semi pro. Team,
greg you Got henry wants some of to play a
game against. That So, greg you think, anybody you think
anybody the. Machine you think anybody Gives Henry rugs a
chance becomes out of. PRISON i don't, know, yes maybe

(03:13:28):
maybe yeah see. Yeah. Uh by the, way another one
paralyzed man with a L s horrible. Disease we we've
looked looked at that one eyed eye and still doing
that even. Today. Uh they have now given the first
patient the nearer link. Implant. Uh and now this person
can type with just their. Brain. Wow can you imagine

(03:13:53):
some technology involved in think and it types it right
and does have a spell.

Speaker 6 (03:13:58):
Check.

Speaker 3 (03:13:58):
Yeah So i'm sure they probably you, know if they
can make it do. THAT i bet thinking what check in?
There now they've got. It they you, know als patients
and paralyzed people can type with their. Eyes. Yeah, yeah
but this is and they said that actually takes training
though you can't just automatically say HERE i. Go you
have to go through a lot of getting, ready learn
how to do, it know how to, look know how
to do. That so now they're saying that they with this,

(03:14:20):
length they're going to see if we can't do the
same thing with just the. Brain oh so SO i don't,
know we'll. See that's, Amazing yeah it.

Speaker 6 (03:14:27):
Is.

Speaker 3 (03:14:28):
Wow and then there's another story today that's not not
much of a pick me, up but it's talking about. Theday,
hey we've got alarming numbers Of alzheimer's patients and people
are getting younger and, younger and something's got to change
what's going. On so this is kind of now getting
into that world of the the rise and autism and the.
Spectrum and now they're, saying you, Know alzheimer's is showing
similar it's it's on the, rise and we need to

(03:14:51):
start looking for it's starting to kind of get that,
feel you, know where people will, saying you remember the
first time we had the doctor From baylor when the
autism went through the, roof and he, said there's no
such thing as a Genetic, genetically we should not have
the kind of numbers that we're. Having, yeah and so
they're saying Now alzheimer's is starting to look that way,

(03:15:13):
too like there might be an. Insult, yeah, yeah SO
i don't, know we'll. See thanks for being with us.
Today all of you maybe have a thought For franklin
The turtle.
