Coming in on the text nextion and saying we're ready

(02:07):
say yes, there did to fire you up?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Ready?

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Uh huh, Look Adler, buddy, you can get him there? Okay,
in there, buddy. He's nodding, Hey, buddy, fish dead. Well
he's got this. He had that look on like chen
may be dead.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
No.

Speaker 5 (02:24):
I was going like, yeah, okay, so dead do.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
You wish was dead? Because you're sick?

Speaker 4 (02:36):
And we got a lot to unpact to. The boy
got a lot to impact.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Uh So.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
In the in the political world, we know that from
our home state of Alabama that it's official now that
Tuberville and is not going to run for senate again.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
He's going he's gonna run for governor. Correct.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
So that's official. That's done. So how do you feel
about Tuberville as a senator. You don't have to worry
about that much long. Some of you thought he fought
a good fight, some of you not so much. Whatever
the case may be, that's over, yep, And he will
then we'll decide or the people of Alabama will decide
which were four of those, Whether he's a good choice
for governor and we'll go from there. But now that

(03:16):
means that Senate seat is about to open up, that's right,
and we have the word it's already out. But Jared Hudson,
who's been on the program before with Covenant Rescue, former
Navy seal, is going to drop by today and throw
his hat in the ring. Yes, so Hudson for Alabama
dot Com. So we'll we'll talk to him today and

(03:36):
we'll see where he is. And you know, he and
I had a private conversation about it, which I guess
we can talk about now, and I heard how he
and his wife were working through it, praying about it,
and so we'll talk to him about that coming up
in a little bit later on. So that that's there
other things going on, of course in that world. We'll
update you on kind of where the Big Beautiful Bill is.

(03:59):
That's an interesting B B B. That was interesting. I
thought yesterday if you missed it, we had Scott Jennings
on from CNN. We talked about that with him a
little bit too, and I thought he shed some really
good logical light on that. Between the disagreements on the
right of exactly how the Big Beautiful Bill should go,
including Elon Musk and the President.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
I thought he.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I thought, he said, hey, they just need to sit
down and he needs to listen to Elon. Elon needs
to listen to him. They don't need to get into
some kind of, you know, riff over this. It's too
important that they continue to work together.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Well, I heard Trump's response, I don't know if you
did a day or so ago, and I thought it
was it was surprising, to be honest with you, because
he said, no, I get it.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I understand.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
He said, there's things in the bill I don't like,
he said, but we have to compromise. He there's things
in the bill I really really like that are beautiful.
That's why it's called the Big Beautiful Bill, right, And
I'm saying it like but he goes, no, I get it,
he said, and I feel like we can compromise, get
some things in there, and and maybe even do some amendments.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
To it or whatever.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
But he his response wasn't you know, because normally it's
I'm gonna go after somebody that's criticized, and that's what
I was afraid was to have. But it didn't seem
like that. And then with it in e line put
out on eggs. That is his he's stepping down from
doze and it was his scheduled uh stepping down or
something like that. So but the media is trying to
play it out like they're in the fight. So that's

(05:23):
why he's stepping down. According to Elon in the post,
we can read it at will have it later, so
it'll be interesting to say it.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I'll play. Yeah, So we won't do a lot of that.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
Like I say that, one of the commitments we made
in starting this new endeavor is, you know, we felt
like that there was a toward the end of the
Rick and Bubbo years we were getting a little almost like,
you know, seventy five percent political, you know, twenty five
percent lifestyle and funny. And of course now we want
to flip that and be seventy five eighty five percent lifestyle, funny,

(05:53):
you know, twenty five to you know, twenty percent update
you on what's going on in the world. So we
will drop that in but that that we won't bog
down there today.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
But well, we'll definitely give you the update.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
I did I did hear that and because yeah, and
I heard him chuckle after he said it. It could
be big, or it could be beautiful, but it can't
be both.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
No, it can't.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
You know, when you when you're talking about government, None
of us like the word big. I don't like big
government now, uh. And I agree with Elon Musk on that.
So so we'll update you on that going forward. Also,
if you missed the Scott Jennings interview yesterday the beautiful
thing about speaking and beautiful uh technology today, you can
go back and grab that in the archives. Adler got
that done for you. Does that every day? O Cat

(06:34):
sat on the podcast channel or our YouTube channel, whichever
you prefer if you missed it or just want to
see it again.

Speaker 6 (06:39):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Also uh uh, you know what we talked about gutter
gate over at at our house.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
We had some folks lined up never never call.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Well it goes back to this again, and I hope
some of you understand this, and we talked about this,
you know, back in the three decades of Rick and Bubb,
But we don't. I really only because I know a
lot a lot of it is not overly entertaining unless
there's something you know, any of us into rest is entertaining.
But I want you to know that we try on

(07:10):
stuff like this to stay out of the show with
it and just handle it, but don't on it. I mean,
when you used the show, it works. And as soon
as I mentioned this on the show yesterday, I had
probably five different companies, some of them not meaning even
in my own states. So we'll saw that today. And
so I just it just kind of went with whoever

(07:30):
got there first, and if I kind of knew who
was connected, and you sent me somebody, and I will
tell you that Braiden, Reuben Boy, Braiden Braiden. See this
is Braiden is what's great about America. Braiden was like
not only and I kept even thinking that Braiden was
just the contact. It was his company and I don't
have any connection to Braiden that whatever. I paid for it,

(07:54):
just like everybody else. Okay, But it was interesting because
I said, hey, man, he said, here's how much it'll cost.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Let's go.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
I thought it would be get back in a few days.
He says, well, I'm here right now. You want to
just do it now? I said, yeah, come on, do
it now. That's so. And then I go, hey, who
do I need to settle up with? And he goes, well,
I'm here. I'm like, what you're you're on the ladder.
I'm on the ladder man, I'm doing it. I am
the one. And I was like, okay. So I get

(08:23):
home and Braiden's climbing all over the house and getting
it done and gave me a reasonable price, and I said,
thank you very much. He did an outstanding job knocked
out yesterday. That now everybody else has left me hanging
for weeks, not returning, claiming I'm gonna come by and
give an ask, but never hear from them.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Hey, get in line.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Hey, it'll be five we be five weeks before we
want to give you an estimate. And Braiden got in there,
did a masterful job and got it knocked out and
got it done. That's good, that's good, just before the
some more rain gets here. Yes, and even let us
know that one of our gutters may be damaged. Oh
damaged gutter?

Speaker 2 (08:56):
Well, yeah, we have a.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Lot of storms. We did a lot of things.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
How did the how did the gut the gut or cleaning? Braiden,
what's his stance on these guards that they put over?
Because I've heard good things and bad.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Things, and that's exactly what he said. What does it
he's here's what he said. He said, you heard about
well he said. He said, it's all about where where
you live. And he said, and where you live bird,
which is sweet Home, Alabama. He said, our rain is
so torrential when it comes. You know, these afternoon thumb
storms that dump inches at a time, like like.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Just pouring, pouring, pouring.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
He said that those shields gonna do you to good.
He said, you're still gonna have water problems because it's
just too much water. He said, Now, if you've got
light rain, you know, normal rain, they do great, he said,
but this is these after these gully washers that come through.
He said, it's gonna there's only somebody say can do.
So he was like, he was like, it's not awful,

(09:56):
but if you don't stand of all your problems, that's
that's that's a delusional.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Yeah. Yeah, it's done though. So Cherry's happy. Yep, he's happy.
I was happy. That's all that matter. Yeah, I'll smile.
I said, Well I got that night I walked out
to when my Phillips said, my crushing wrench, and apparently
there's nothing for me to do.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
This is the Rick Burchers show, looted with catheen. I'm
ready for another hour. This is the Rick Burchers Show.

awkward if tubber Ball has to run against Bubba for governor,
I mean that could be that could be awkward. Yeah,
that could be awkward. Uh so so we'll we'll see.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
All right.

Speaker 4 (11:04):

Speaker 5 (12:56):
Can I say something yesterday I should you announced that
Men Don't Run in the Rain is on Audible now,
and that was a big deal.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
That's a big and in the audible in the audio
book world, they are the walking Dog.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Yeah, I have two updates. Hoby was fired up when
you somewhere, Hoby yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
And the other thing is my dad you talk about
big beautiful Hoby.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Yeah. But anyway, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
My dad's excited and he said, Hey, is that something
I can listen to on CD? And and so I'm
gonna work with him on that.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah, yeah, he said.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
You know, he has a little CD player besides his
recliner that he likes to. Well, yeah, but trying to
see and navigate through that. He's just cut and dry
and wants the CD. So but I'm gonna work with
him on that and how to how to how to
get it to where he can listen to the CD.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah, but I thought you would be in your team. Well,
let me tell you what.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
If you know, there's been a lot of people that
have been been kind enough to to to see d
to read the book right, have been kind enough to
do this. And there are people, there's a list of
them that when they say I'm gonna give it a gander,
You're like, Okay, that's big. If I can get John
Wilburn to to to give me his assessment of the book,

(14:13):
it'll mean the world. Get it on CD is a challenge.

Speaker 5 (14:17):
Yeah, I'm gonna be up there Saturday. You ah, I do,
but not with me. It's at home in the closet.
I'm like, Greg, I had some old equipment, like the
old combo V C R CD burn and I'm like,
I'm not throwing those things away.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
You never know.

Speaker 5 (14:35):
No, I do have it. I don't think I'm gonna
be able to burn it to CD. But we're gonna
work on how he can he can listen to it.
There's a way to do it, Yeah, there is. And
we'll make a couple of easy steps. And he likes
to get up really early and have his devotional and
and have his his coffee and I and I think
that's before mom gets up.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
That maybe could help him get that going.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Uh, but we'll you know what I was thinking now
to help me and maybe Adler can chime here.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
He may know more.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Y'all help me, could he use one of these the
voice activated since it's on audible. Hey, so and so, yes,
start something something, let me hear men don't run in
the round on audible. Yeah, maybe that's it, a voice activating.
Now I'm stepping out. It's not my world. We'll work
on that.

Speaker 5 (15:20):
I just said, right, maybe, yeah, yeah, I could. I
could ask my assistant here. I won't say it, so
I don' want but you know, hey, can you start
this app and see what happens?

Speaker 2 (15:30):
But you can use Alexa and Siri to control. We're
gonna go through it, Dad, We got it.

Speaker 6 (15:38):
Dad.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
We're doing it, mister Wen, we're doing it.

Speaker 8 (15:40):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
But also with Hobie, you brought something up yesterday because
they said it's got Alexa built.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
In that does oh yeah, does it? Well? I have
an extra at the house. Huh he said, Syria work too.
Did you say that to Yeah? Probably working?

Speaker 9 (15:57):
Say play audible or hey, serious, play my book in audible.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
I call it a little we go I call a
little boom box.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
But you know that the old boom boxes that are
portable you plug in, but portable, but had had the
little CD player on the top that the door would
open up yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
He has one.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
He has one that sits besides, and that's how matter
of fact, it has a radio on it. Uh, and
that's how he's listening now to the I hate.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
To see CDs go away product.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
So but maybe that maybe getting an Alexa and put
it right there in addition to that, and it can
just he can just tell it. Hey, start, you know,
and then we'll work will work through that. Then you
got the other end of the spectrum. I know how
you are. You don't listen to books.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
You read them. You like to read. It's caught a book.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Yeah, yeah, does it matter to you that you had
the paperback? And now do you want do you do
you just to hardcover? Me more to you now? Or
yeah I'm a hardcover guy. Okay, Yeah, you know, I'm
sure he would love to read.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
He just can't. Yeah, well we got yeah, we understand
that something might not. Yeah, I'm just saying, but it's
really not like an audiobook. It's not a book. It's
basically a podcast, basically a podcast. Listen. But if you're blind,
Greg is, sure's good to have it. Yeah, you're making
fun of the blind again, I'm not.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
Dad, I'm sorry. Watch it Greg's waddled with the blind eye.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Can you say that you all came up? I understand
those that aren't able.

Speaker 10 (17:18):
You know.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Let me go ahead and warn you because it's gonna
get in your head too if you ever decided to
listen to the audio version. Uh huh, And and and
that one right there, and I'm pointing Greg. He ruins everything,
he ruins everything. So I thought, you know, I thought,
I'm gonna put this on just to see how it went. Well,
I'm now picking up on things of me reading it
that Greg's gonna make fun.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
I can't win.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
It's like things jump out. And I said, well, the
way I said that because I was trying to the
nunciate work because.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
We chew words up. Oh yeah, open your mind.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
That kept telling me to open my mouth and Southerners don't.
And Greg's gonna make fun.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Well, I'm probably I won't listen to it because I'll
read it. That's right, you've already read it, Greg, Yeah,
i'anna read it again. I'm reading the hardback vers in it.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
There's a there might be a few things on the cover,
some edits, because when we put out those paperbacks, they
were just for the conferences. Because we wanted to have
it available and that one was not the final edit.
So the hardcover it'll be it's gonna be the same thing.
But you'll know there's some things except for things that
Mom thought that are still wrong.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
That that's old single that go by.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
The way, the second printing. They're fixing that for mom.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
But trying to trying to help people. What about deaf
people if they have a translator listening to the audio
while signing to the death.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
Print, great, they can read.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Deaf people can What if they cut that access to
a book?

Speaker 11 (18:32):
Kid?

Speaker 2 (18:33):
You know? Death people can read? Can you know how
they get real animated when they do it? Yeah, but
deaf people can read. I'm talking about the ones where
you're doing a song. I'm talking about you know what you're.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
About talking the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Okay, it's in theaters. Have you been to see Last
Rodeo yet? The Last Rodeo is.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
An outstanding movie. Neil McDonough. You know, he's a great actor.
I mean he's one of those actors. Every time he's
in something you want to see it. And he's really
great in this playing the aging retired Rodeo legend straps
in for one last ride, risking it all for here's
speeding Greg i'n go to tear You know why. He
does it for his grandson. So if you haven't seen

in January that the budget just could not support us

(20:52):
buying just breakfast every day from a restaurant. We had
a restaurant that provided it, and they realized it was
too expensive to do that week.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Wonderful people.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
We love the people there and they're they're good to
us and they continue to be good to us. But
that particular arrangement wasn't working for anyone. Well, I love
your the ruler.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
You know, on one end it's wasteful spinding, and on
the other end it's nickel and diamond. That was waste,
wasteful spinning. So as far as we're grown, we can
handle our own breakfast. But man, that was nice because.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
It was nice.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
It was nice, it was expensive.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
We've got to run the numbers and we're in our
old place and that place we got for always.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
Yeah, it's another one of those things, you know, we say, guys, hey,
thanks Joe Biden. Yeah, the process went up on everything
and everything just unbelievable. Maybe maybe Trump can get it
back down. We can start affording that that again, but
it didn't make sense. Now I keep being told of
how great it was, and it was great. So now
and Greg Pardons for this. I know this bothers you.

(21:49):
You made it clear when we first started this year
that you don't you don't really like this commitment to
try and do a little bit better.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
You get ill about it. We overdo it. Yeah, and
if a blind person was trying to better, can you imagine?
There you'all go?

Speaker 4 (22:02):
But yeah, Greg, the only person that's created a scenario
where a deaf person can't read.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Yeah, we got Helen Keller. Who else? No, I'm not
saying I can't read, But what if they reade a
place where they's say, books weren't available.

Speaker 4 (22:15):
A deaf person is found a place where books are
not available, and now they need someone they signed the
book and they have and so someone signs.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
The audiobook to them while listening to read it. And
they're real animated when they do it, like at a concert. Yeah,
which I don't know about the concert people doing that.
So I'm at a concert and I'm deaf, and I
got to have a translator, but because the concerts here cheap.
But I guess you can feel the base though you
can prob that person's energy. How are they going? And
again that's different than the ones who signed that it's

(22:43):
not intended for deaf people. It's just for everybody. Well, Greg,
and now we also have to be in there.

Speaker 4 (22:47):
And it's also different for those people who can't sign
and somewhere somehow find their way on stage.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Yeah, now that that's happened to you, that at the
Mandela Big Deal leaders, believable. That may be the best.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
Gracious, So if you if you would like to leave
the room, if you'd like to just sit silent, I'd
like to discuss our ongoing battle to get the proper
things here for breakfast.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Okay, and you've made it clear. I look, my point
is this bunch I can't take serious when they have it. Look,
why we got to overdue things? We're not overdoing it.
Yeah we do. I'll tell you one bite or something.
I'm good, Gosh, you settled down. One buy. It won't
hurt you. I know. I know that, Greg.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
But we bread.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
No one hears y'all when that attack bread. Yeah, that's
eating bread first, while they're lying they've done more than that.
I don't believe that you can just quit eating bread
and all of a sudden you've lost fifty pounds. I
believe that.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
Of course, you know Jesus said, talking about bread a lot.
I like bread called itself bread.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Yeah, here you go, because there was a little different bread,
I mean, but still still so I would I would
just like to say to you, Speedy and you Adler,
not you Greg, that I have you know, because we're
all trying to do a little bit better and you know,
and we talked to people you know in nutrition that
that that try to help us.

Speaker 12 (24:11):
Greg.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
They know what they're doing, they know what they're doing,
and I'm not promoting just being unhealthy y'all. Y'all go
too far with that, okay, all right? Type two?

Speaker 4 (24:19):
So so we we uh not necessarily got the sugar.
So Speedy, I want I want you to know that
I talked to trainer Sean Oh and he's also known
as his Daddy, and he said, he said, here's some
things y'all need to add to what y'all doing for breakfast.
And then he said, I hate to tell you this
because I know it didn't make any sense for the
restaurant or y'all on an every day, but what y'all
were eating was perfect, was perfect, And he said, so

(24:42):
you've got to find it perfect and missing out on
He said need to do better with protein. And he said,
he said, that makes you sugg some suggestions some protein
you can add. Watch watch Greg's face because you know
I do food journals for him to look at.

Speaker 11 (24:56):
So, h.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Journal, I didn't know that.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
I got a food well, I don't do it all
the time. So I got a sleep chart. I don't
have a sleep chart. That's speedy.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
I gotta sleep. If you want to fight, we can.
So what do you what? So what do you? I mean?
That's just so when I went to the times of
urinate during the day, I don't do that. Is that
I went to uh And by the way, I've got
a vision board too that haystacks on my roommate from college. Yeah,

(25:29):
so he looked at some picture I had from Memorial whatever.
Of course he's like another nemesis. All he did on
the picture and he it's the only nickname I've ever
had for some reason, he nicknamed me jig and Jiggy
and so he all, he says, he pulls the picture.
I guess he saw it somewhere. You're you're clearly flexing

(25:50):
in this picture, Jiggy flexing, flexing.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
I'm not flexing. And and yeah, he was like, you're
flexing this picture jiggy, and I said, no, I think
I'm just jacked.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Of course he hated that. Yeah, but anyway, so this
is funny that so I got. So I added some protein.
I got something funny to me. After Greg makes for
somebody else, I'll take you. No, I can't take him
serious because we used to go work out a lot.
Oh yeah, at the old place and he made fun
of us about it. But yeah, going do a live
bed and give you then every way too ninety He
made fun of us. Yeah remember now do I remember?

(26:22):
So I can't have a hard time getting past that.
When he's telling me to make a food journy, I know, well, Greg,
you know what?

Speaker 4 (26:27):
You know why I stopped doing it because God said
that I was wrong?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah, okay, the gods, the God.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
Wait a minute, you know me. That's about the only
way you give.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Act of God, is it? But you're taking him rich?
I battle him every day. Yeah, I'm doing a little
bit better, and that that's hard. It's hard in that
food world. I bail him every day. O you think
oh Rick won't getting away of a help playing well,
just quit eating bread? How did you lose the way
an act of God. Exactly right? Did I tell you

(27:02):
the time Cherry said that in silence the room, there's
somebody Cherry was there and I didn't know about it.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
I was there and they told me about it. They
were like, hey, what I noticed Rick finally tried to
do something bad? What was it that finally? What was
the turning punks? I know, it's hard to try to think.
And Shrey goes when he got when he realized that
what he was doing was sin, and they were like, oh, okay,
well that's one. Yeah, that's one would look at it.
But anyway, so here comes Greg.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
I know what he's gonna say without even go ahead,
go ahead.

Speaker 10 (27:28):
And go what.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I was talking to Hoby yesterday. You have any friends,
and we had just finished working out something. Greg doesn't
do anymore, right, Hobe. But I don't go to him
for every We were actually just we were just having
a conversation wan Hoby.

Speaker 5 (27:51):
He's like Yoda. Greg claims he's going to work out tomorrow.
I thought you were doing better with your own way.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Why do you so?

Speaker 2 (28:02):
He needs to do weights? He can run all day.
He's looking do them. I ain't doing them now?

Speaker 8 (28:09):
Why not?

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Because I don't want to. I don't want to give
me ten. Yeah, that left side was gonnact.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
That's going her.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
I can't do. That's why I can't go with you.
He claims, he's going Friday.

Speaker 9 (28:22):
Nervous shoes in your neck? Greg, you got to fix
your nervous in your neck, buddy.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
It's not your.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Shoulders that Greg. You talked to hold me about it.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
It's funny.

Speaker 5 (28:31):
We were walking to the car after a workout and
he said, hey, I've I realized I need more protein.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
I got taken prot He just just hitting me. He
needs more, Yeah somewhere. And I was thinking not getting
a lot of protein, and and and there's some things
here that Greg likes. Greg, I like you. You like chicken.
I love chicken. You like fish. It's okay. You like eggs.
I love eggs. Yes, you like nuts. Fifty eight years

(29:01):
old and I still get tiggled. It's sweet talking about
I mean those things are called nuts, by the way,
peanuts almost those are in the nut family. Well, you
can say nuts and bad. But when he did it,
I couldn't do it. I couldn't go I like nuts.
I couldn't know which tells you that tells you that

(29:22):
that f eight.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
But here's what that chose you. Here's what that chose you.
That campaign won.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
They chok that away. I can't use it.

Speaker 4 (29:39):
Sweet potatoes, you don't really. I don't like sweet patato.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
I like sweet. I can work through it if I
have brown rice. I like brown rice. Vegetables some I
know you love avocados. Now I say, I keep hearing
how great the avocado is. Yeah, but I really have
trouble with it.

Speaker 13 (29:55):
You really.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
I don't like the texture and the cut or both.
Just got to texture problem. Yeah, but we may be good.
But like I said, I've told you all what it
looks like. Yes you have, Thank you I wanted. Okay,
we got it. We got it. We know Greg every time,
every time somebody puts it on the table, all last
season of Yeah I don't bring.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
You said at one time I thought that it was
gonna turn into nothing.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
I know he put him in everything. I mean, he
would have an avocado.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
I love.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
He had one strapped in and with a seat belt on,
and then Greg eating. And Greg will say walk up
to you and say, you know what, it's not a
good looking.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
But hope he's not a certified trainer. Uh, but we
were just it was funny we're having that conversation.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
No face, would you do me favor? Go in there
and take pictures of what I brought in and send
it to Hobey.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Let me tell you this Hobe has been at least
five kicks that since I've known it. Oh yeah, you know,
no face died. There's some count by numbers something. No
face die. He doesn't eat anything with it face. He
tried that. He tried that for a little bit. You
need to be the face diet is what it should be.
I mean, you had any chickens because that's kind of

(31:11):
air face like Greg.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who pointed
out that there is no such thing as booneless wise Rick, Butch's.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
You know, it's just right there in front of us. Okay,
So thanks for being with us America. A lot to
do today. Jared Hudson, dropping by a little later in
the program, has announced hes running for Senate.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
He was on the program.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
We were talking to him as a guest. He's doing
some stuff for the Man Church, one of our speakers
now and now he said he's going to run for
the Tuberville Senate spot Tuberville now going to run for
the governor of Alabama, so we'll talk about that coming
up some how about Aaron Rodgers. Raise your hand if
you're starting to grow weary of the drama of Aaron Rodgers,

(32:13):
our hands are up. Are you all okay with us
just being done with Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yes? Yeah, go ahead and retire, done with it. I
was interested the first year, and he gets hurt on
the first play, right, I was interested that year. Hard
Knocks helped me with that one because it's this big
build up. To your point, Greg, have you seen Daron
Hart yet? When's the next episode? I've only seen one episode.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Buddy, Greg, Neil Bonic. Okay, hurry up.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
You're going to find out about this episode three out yet.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (32:42):
I'm sure it is anyway, all right, it's not a
good day for Aaron Rodgers in the news.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
No, it's bad.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
We'll start with Terry Bradshaw.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, multi time Super
Bowl winner with the Steelers, made it clear in a
radio interview in Arkansas, which is where he's from, right,
he's from losing this week that he is no fan
of the idea of Aaron Rodgers joining the Pittsburgh Steelers.

(33:11):
Now Speedy broke the story, which means Hoby told him
that he thought early on the Steelers is where he
was going to land. Bradshaw, not fired up about this
at all, calls it a joke. Yeah, He's like, why
in the world. And you've got to get the quote, Rick,
keep on reading down because I want you to read it.
But he just is like, why in the world would
we sign somebody for one year.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
And be done?

Speaker 4 (33:33):
He said, that is a joke. This is this is
just me just to me, is a joke.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
What are you going to do?

Speaker 4 (33:40):
Bring him in for a year? Are you kidding me?
The guy needs to stay in California. You go somewhere
and chew on bark and whisper to the gods out there.
Oh wow, he's really really mad.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
He's not happy about that. Yeah, yeah, he goes. He goes.

Speaker 4 (33:54):
If you get into his presence, you feel like it's
going to start snowing, telling me how cold is so?

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Wow. That did not go well. Now, so Terry's not
a fan. I take it. Terry Bradshaw's the thumbs down,
going to don't know Aaron Rodgers hadn't never met him.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
All only see interviews. He's on Pat McAfee every now
and then you see some facetiming. You know you're sitting
there chilled out, whatever. But would y'all agree that those
that have known him, he's very difficult to.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Appears to.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
I know he's had a history with his family and
all those broken relationships. But then you've got people that
have either dated him or played with him, and he's
a handle.

Speaker 4 (34:34):
And now you're into the story from Danica Patrick today. Yeah,
and it's an ugly By the way, a text nation said,
episode three.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Is today for Earnhardt.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
I'm on Amazon Prime. I don't know if I'm emotionally
ready for episode three because this is the final one, right, three?

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Three, four? So I can get through this one, then
four may be tough.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Somebody said both come out today, but it could be
just three.

Speaker 14 (34:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
But Greg, you need to hurry up. You're gonna out
about the whole thing.

Speaker 9 (35:01):
I will say that politically, I think you guys would
line up with Aaron Rodgers more than you would maybe think.

Speaker 4 (35:07):
And we knew you have some sort of political angle
on this because he's more of a libertarian, right, Well,
he I think morally, he and I would draft very long.

Speaker 9 (35:14):
He no, I've heard he's been on Rogan several times.
So you listen to the whole thing, and he this
was you know, probably this was closer to all the
COVID craziness and all that, and he didn't want to
you know, he didn't want to take the shot and
all that stuff. But everything he was listing was something

(35:35):
that we had talked about, the story here, a story there,
and he was taking the same angle that we had
we had discussed.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Yeah, I think though we would all agree.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I know a lot of people that I agree with
on a lot of things politically that I still don't
desire them as a person.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
Sure, sure, yeah, Well maybe a lot of fun to
be around it. It seems like everybody's around him has
the same experience. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:55):
Sure, a long form interview like that, maybe I get
to know him a little better. Did you feel that way?

Speaker 9 (36:00):
Yes, Yes, he had kind of explained a lot of
the especially even the turmoil that he had in the
organization for not taking the vaccine.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
And all that backlash.

Speaker 8 (36:10):
All that.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
I agree with him. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
Danica Patrick calls her time dating Aaron Rodgers. Why is
everybody have to get Aaron Rodgers today? Here it is
you ready for this quote? Most pain she's ever experienced
in a relationship? Wow, Wow, good night. This was on
the Save Someone lists you at the top of the
list of pain. This was on the Sage Still Show.
Of course, No One Surprise. That's another podcast out there.

(36:36):
She said that the breakup with Rogers most pain she's
experienced in her life, her time of dating him. And
I think they were they were Did they not live together?
For I thought they bought like his big giant mansion
and all that.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, here it is.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
It says you feel like, here's how my life was
with him. You live with someone, and it was your
whole life. It's your it's your dentist appointment, it's your
hair do, it's your clothes, it's like your mailing address,
it's like everything. And because of the nature of the
relationship was emotionally abusive. So that wore me down to nothing.
She added, everything was torn to bits because she said

(37:16):
she had a complete lack of confidence or belief in
the simple things about herself. Here's the quote, because Aaron Rodgers,
if you get in a relationship with him, he leaves
a trail of blood. Dang, I don't think I'm saying
too much. You know, earth shattering stuff. There's that, And
so that was a good night. She basically said that.

(37:38):
I used to before I started in a relationship with
Aaron Rodgers. I was a pretty confident person. By the
time he left. He broke me down to be thinking
I was nothing.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
And destroyed me. Trail of blood. Trailer of blood. That's
that's ugly, grea graphic. Now again, we don't know, We didn't,
We don't know. Anytime you deal in we're relationships, you
need to always talk to everybody. And I hadn't had
a chance to talk to Aaron Rodgers. But I don't
get that giant chewing bark, right.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
But so she came out a couple of years ago
she had that breasting plant illness. I believe, thank you, spitty.
I didn't know that now because that's what I thought
about it.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
I thought about her. Yeah, it was big news.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
So that's the first thing you thought of when I've
told you, said Donica Patrick, I'd like to see that
trail of thought.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Uh didn't she like them like a fitness guru? Now
that's what she kind of does. And she didn't race anymore. Yeah,
chess books and all that. Ricky may get something by nutrition,
food guides and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
Maybe maybe we said, yeah, Chris, she's got this new
health plan. It's called ten and two ten and two.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
And even though honestly when we of course I know
she drove open will too. But when we were doing
the driver's school, you remember they told us going into
those turns when now this was only tallady, So it's
I'm sure it varies that it's actually twelve and six.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
Just you better, you better hit that thing and give
her a left. If you ever write a book on
health and wellness, that's where I'm we're gonna fight.

Speaker 10 (38:59):
Now.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Well good, I mean I know that men don't eat bread. Well,
now you're running my whole dial for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 15 (39:11):
Idea.

Speaker 2 (39:11):

make America healthy again. It looks like it has had
an impact on Skittles. I don't know where wheres are
by own skittles. I don't hate them, but I can
live with that skittle guy. I don't know he loves skittles.

(42:52):
Never been a big kittle guy.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
I like that type of candy. You love Skittles, purple
bag as a kid.

Speaker 9 (42:59):
I've got tatum dioxide going through my veins right now.

Speaker 4 (43:03):
Settle down. Is that what's keeping you liking?

Speaker 10 (43:05):
You?

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Short of breath? Yes? Okay?

Speaker 4 (43:08):
So Mars Wrigly apparently they're they're the skittle folks. They
merge they're forced to change Skittle's recipe after RFK Junior
and his bombshell report. They said that after hearing him
try to explain the problem to ask could he just
write it? So anyway, he's he's linked. He's linked their

(43:31):
ingredient to cancer risk. Uh, And they have quietly until
today when we announced it on the show, had the
recipe reformulated because of this health report. Now, this is problematic.
It kind of goes back to the this is always
the problem with these things, and we always use the

(43:51):
best example in the biggest cases involving cigarettes. It's one
thing when you have a product and you don't know
the health risk. Then you're made aware of the health
risk and you hide it, which is what they got
the cigarette people. Yeah, okay, research so addictive.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Now I know that.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
I don't know why we were thought it was some
big discovery that inhaling smoke into your lungs might not
be a good thing. Took us a while to took
us a while to get there. Uh but but what
what they what they burned them on and when the
checks start going out and when it changed the landscape
is hey, y'all knew it and you and you hit it.
I don't know where this is going to go because

(44:31):
this feels like that they changed the recipe once it
was exposed that they had a problem. The question I
want to ask is, did y'all know y'all had this
problem and you just kept the ingredients going and people
are just consuming any different.

Speaker 2 (44:48):
Well, I don't Well, I'm just curious what are they
taking out and then adding to take it down? Well,
it's just the color. It's really just what it looks.
I care about. No, I don't care.

Speaker 9 (45:01):
And this is like the US version versus the European
Union version, I know. And you can see like the
yellow is just a little more dingy and the orange
is not so deep orange, and the red is a
little lighter.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
Who would notice it? It's barely different. Who cares? Yes,
get the titanium dioxide out of there. We don't care,
my goodness.

Speaker 4 (45:21):
But do you see my point? Why would they cling
to it if they knew it was a problem. All
of you make the very obvious point. It's not even
a game change though, when it comes to your enjoyment
of the snack. I mean I would. I wouldn't die
on the it's the color of it.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
Heel.

Speaker 4 (45:37):
Now I can see me being out there going, guys,
our snack's not gonna be any good if we do this,
it's not gonna taste good. Yeah, but we're talking about
the presentation visually, and no more difference than it was right,
and you can barely tell the difference. I don't know
why you would clean that. Maybe it's a cost thing.

Speaker 9 (45:51):
I don't know, that's what I would have to just
assume that it's just a cost thing. It's just cheaper
to use that chemical to make them bright color versus
other other things.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
I mean, that's got to be it, right, Yeah, because
it doesn't make any sense otherwise. But anyway, they said
they have changed it. They have quietly changed it. And again,
this is something wanting to take this long, right, I'll
tell you what. I took this long because nobody had
taken the giant RFK junior spotlight like he did and said,
we've got with this government has got something called make
America healthy again, and we're going to take a big,

(46:24):
old giant spotlight and we're gonna shine it into stuff
Americans are consuming, and we're going to at least make
them aware of it and pressure you to change it. Yeah,
but they didn't change, so they got pressure, that's all.
That's the only conclusion.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
The reason to cling to the old formula was it
because it's cheaper to make That's what I'm wondered.

Speaker 4 (46:40):
It has to be something, you know, that's what we
were thinking, because it doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 5 (46:44):
And yeah, why would you have ever had it if
it's well, to your point, Rick, it's sad that it
took somebody like him to you know, ain't got that done.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
Pretty good awareness of all that's pretty.

Speaker 4 (46:54):
Good, Greg, he got it out of there. Greg, you're
closing them.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
It's this, it's that.

Speaker 4 (46:59):
It's that's right, that's you're closing in on it.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
It's a little Bernie there.

Speaker 4 (47:04):
But I understand we were doing something for a time
and we didn't know. Thank you for making us aware.
But where cigarettes got burned is no, you knew and
you kept doing.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
Now.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
I'm not accusing Mars regularly of that. I'm just wondering.
There's the cigarettes.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
They hit the fact that you could get addicted, but
then they just up the price to pay the penalty,
and you're already addicted, so you pay it. So they
ended up paying their penalty off by raising prices.

Speaker 4 (47:29):
Thank you, Thank you, Greg for were already addicted to
for putting that in a nutshell again, understand people who
are addicted, how hard that is. I don't understand the
people who start smoking last week that I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
And it's vaping thing.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
Yeah my goodness, oh zimpic may be running your teeth?

Speaker 2 (47:45):
What yeah? Oh?

Speaker 4 (47:47):
What to know about the impact on dental health, despite
their widely touted benefits, which we always have to say, yeah,
this was coming primarily weight loss in diabetes control, among others.
The medications have also now been linked to some unwelcome
side effects we know of some of them. In addition
to the main complaints of the gastro intestinal issues, some

(48:10):
lesser known side effects have emerged, including mood changes. We
talked about that hair loss something now called ozimpic face.
We've seen that all but now there's rumblings from patients
and doctors suggesting that weight loss drug may be linked
to tooth decay and gum disease like irritation and bleeding.

(48:31):
What isn't a new phrase?

Speaker 2 (48:32):
Are you ready for this? Ozempic teeth? Much like ozempic face,
it's got teeth with it.

Speaker 4 (48:38):
It is a term coin to describe a characteristic that
some believe could be related hadn't been proven. Didn't sound
like so we need to make sure we say that
that the use of the weight loss drug and the
diabetes drugs is now affecting their.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
Oral health.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Hmmm, that's not good now.

Speaker 4 (48:57):
But again, you know, we always have to saying everything.
They've also found benefits of these drugs.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
It's it's look, anytime you're dealing with pharmaceuticals, you're in
this you're in this juggling act.

Speaker 4 (49:05):
Yeah, there's the benefit out weigh the side effect.

Speaker 5 (49:08):
Yeah, so why you should baby consult your doctor, sit
down and see what's best for you and and how
it's affecting you, and you know, I mean, I'm serious
instead of.

Speaker 9 (49:16):
Just yeah and then ask your doctor where they got
their mercedes from.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
Yeah, there you goes.

Speaker 17 (49:22):
You know, I've noticed there's a pharmaceutical company on the
side of your nice luxury vehicle.

Speaker 5 (49:28):
Okay, Okay, well I mean, well you just got let's
just let's just hear it all. Okay, let's just hear it.
It's gotta it's gotta affect your muscles and and all that.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
Right, that was epic.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (49:41):
Yeah, your your muscle mask goes way down. Yeah, you've
seen these magical shrinking people.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Well that's is that where we get osempic face from?

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (49:50):
Yeah, and neck and by the way, these are not
these these shots are not inexpensive.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
They're not.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
I mean, it's so.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
We'll we'll see anyway, So there's a there's.

Speaker 4 (50:01):
Some little little update on some foods and pharmaceuticals. Those
things are out today. That sign, well, we're bringing stuff.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
Signs what that is?

Speaker 4 (50:14):
You know what I've said, I love choice, but I
sure would like to make sure that I'm making a
well educated, informed choice and then make the choice.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Make fun of that, buddy, little bit about it.

Speaker 1 (50:25):
Yeah, this is the Rick Burgess Show, God fearing an
America loving the Rick Burtis Show.

Speaker 4 (51:11):
Uh, And part of that may be that you're sleeping
on a mattress that was not customized for you.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
Makes sense.

Speaker 4 (51:17):
So if they customized a mattress for me, would that
be better than me just grabbing a random mattress off
off a showroom?

Speaker 2 (51:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (51:23):
Probably so, So why don't you go to Helix sleep
dot com slash big Vox and the folks at helic

a little sleep quiz. Even little baby brother took it.
Uh And they want to know how you sleep. That's
why he and legally have one, because you want to
tell him you sleep on your stomach, your back, your side.
I'm a combo sleeper. I like a firm mattress. I

(51:45):
like a medium mattress. I prefer assault.

Speaker 11 (51:48):
It is.

Speaker 4 (51:48):
Whatever it is, they'll they'll they'll match you to the
right mattress.

there in bird world saying things I want you guys
to discuss.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
Hey, let's get started.

Speaker 4 (52:55):
Uh, Hey Bird, hey Burge from Allison.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
I did not know this.

Speaker 4 (52:59):
Uh, this is when those things, Greg, where even me
sitting here as the oldest at sixty, you taking the
number two spot at fifty eight. Speedy, you're fifty six
and Adler thirty nine. Correct, So I know Adder you're
out on this, Greg, you and I are right on
the line. Speedy, probably you're out too. Did you know, Hey, Bird,

(53:19):
hey Burge, I did not know that Speedy at one
time was the hot guy for McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (53:26):
Did you all remember this?

Speaker 13 (53:27):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (53:28):
It says that his name is Speedy.

Speaker 4 (53:29):
No McDonald's before Ronald McDonald, before Ronald McDonald's in I'm
Speedy in our life. Well, well, Greg, I didn't say
it was during our life. I just said it happened.

Speaker 9 (53:39):
Didn't you have didn't you have like a hood ornament
or something like a little something on your desk at
some point that had this little pancake burger man.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
It's not a pan cake? Is that a bun? I'm speedy,
I'm speedy. I haven't had that.

Speaker 4 (54:00):
Did y'all remember this guy?

Speaker 2 (54:01):
I do not do not know a year.

Speaker 4 (54:05):
Yeah, anybody want to google that? When was McDonald's using speedy?
I guess it was before Ronald McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
Well, is this a new version to rigged? In the
email you sent me.

Speaker 4 (54:14):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
What is that?

Speaker 12 (54:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (54:16):
Maybe it is. Maybe they got AI to make it
or something, because you're right, that looks more modern. Are
they bringing that back? A lot of questions? Allison only
had a one line of email here. She just said,
I didn't know speedy. You should be the hot man
for McDonald's here, So I don't remember.

Speaker 5 (54:31):
The digital mascot of McDonald's was replaced by Ronald McDonald
in nineteen sixty two.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
Okay, I'm not even born yet. They started.

Speaker 4 (54:40):
I didn't say we were alive this.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
I said it was probably before a lifetime I was
around there were ready to kill a lot.

Speaker 4 (54:47):
So yeah, so that was Some of you that are
older than us. Older than us might remember speedy as McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
I know we've discussed this before. Did you ever watch
the movie about Ray Crass? Oh? Yeah, it from the Map?

Speaker 8 (55:00):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (55:00):
The franchise or whatever?

Speaker 7 (55:01):
I love it?

Speaker 2 (55:02):
I found Michael Keaton. Yeah, yes, I love that movie.
I need to watch it again because I've forgotten everything
about it. You look at it. There it is, but
there's a there's Hey, hey, I'm speedy.

Speaker 9 (55:12):
Forties, late forties and fifties, they used that.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
How about that?

Speaker 11 (55:16):
Hey?

Speaker 4 (55:16):
Hey bird hay bird just comes from Jessica. Uh, hey, guys,
I work at jsu's McClellan campus at the old Fort McClellan.
Oh wow, it's back in Calhoun County. But yeah, about that. Well,
maybe I shouldn't say, but I'm going to show this
to you when i'm done. Something interesting about the email
that I'm not going to share. I found out that
there is going to be Greg.

Speaker 11 (55:38):
This is you.

Speaker 4 (55:39):
This is not far from your house.

Speaker 2 (55:41):
Greg.

Speaker 4 (55:42):
A Bigfoot conference, oh really?

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Held in our.

Speaker 4 (55:45):
Building's auditorium June sixth and seventh next weekend.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
Greg, what are they going to do? Go represent it?

Speaker 4 (55:52):
So I have no idea, Jessica says, I don't have
any idea what happens at Bigfoot conferences, but I feel
that Greg should know it's happening really close to him.
It seems this it would be a disservice to the
world for him not to go and in their building,
in their building, Greg, if you don't go to this
and come back and come back on June the ninth
with this where a staff shirt and go, you gotta go?

(56:15):
Do you want me to give you this email?

Speaker 2 (56:17):
You think I'm going? You gotta go? You love a
genuine article. You don't think the genuine article would be
this Bigfoot conference.

Speaker 11 (56:27):
Y'all.

Speaker 9 (56:28):
My wife took a girls trip over Memorial Day weekend.
She went to a Sasquatch museum in the mountains.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
You're making the Georgia what No, I'm.

Speaker 4 (56:41):
Not making it up at all.

Speaker 9 (56:42):
They she went to it's called Expedition Bigfoot, the Sasquatch Museum,
and it's a good one.

Speaker 2 (56:52):
They had to go, just like Greg has to go.

Speaker 9 (56:57):
And there were there were I mean, I'm going displays
casts of footprints.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
What a joy.

Speaker 9 (57:07):
There was a demonstrations by people giving facts.

Speaker 2 (57:11):
Oh what a joy. Look at this one. I can't
wait to get your boy.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
Yeah, we got people in our family with feet that big.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
That could be that. But she said it was fantastic
and this is coming to Fort McClellan. We gotta go.

Speaker 4 (57:30):
If Greg Burgess, if Papa doesn't load up the grand
kids and go to the Bigfoot College and take them there,
pistol pace Jones, elis.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
What happens at a Bigfoot conference? You're gonna Greg, Greg,
I want you to picture yourself the joy. They're already
just like them shows. We were in the woods, her knocking,
But Greg pictures. Where's the video, Greig? Picture of the
testimonies and the kind of people that would be giving.
You're right about that. You gotta go. You got to go.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
Speaking of that, did Cat Waitman's buy part of it again?

Speaker 2 (58:06):
Call?

Speaker 8 (58:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (58:06):
Yeah, we did a story on that.

Speaker 17 (58:10):
There.

Speaker 2 (58:10):
Is it going to be like a studio?

Speaker 3 (58:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Did that ever happen? I don't know? Yeah, good question.
So you maybe you ride around find out when you
go to the conference.

Speaker 4 (58:18):
I know the area cut through there on what hemere
them talking about scat and juveniles please.

Speaker 2 (58:23):
A lot of that, a lot of scat talk. Hey bird,
Hey bird.

Speaker 4 (58:26):
Speaking of this, I've listened to both episodes of the
new podcast Strange Encounters Number one. I would like to
say it's phenomenal, very informative, and very necessary. Here's my question.
I understand that you don't want to do podcasts about aliens, bigfoot,
et cetera. However, the description of the podcast says Rick
Burgess tackles Aliens, ghost, Bigfoot, and Demons.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
Does it?

Speaker 4 (58:47):
And he says, he said, maybe I wrote that down wrong,
but I'm pretty sure that it does well by the way.

Speaker 2 (58:53):
He said.

Speaker 4 (58:54):
Now, let me tell you what that is. We're debunking it.
That's why that's in there. We're saying that all these
things have been missed labeled, that actually all if anybody
had a real experience fall in the realm of the
supernatural that scripture is talking about. So we're taking on
these things and saying, those who have something that seems credible,
we do not. We're going to show you it's not

(59:15):
these things. We believe it all comes from angels and demons.
So that that's why that's in there.

Speaker 2 (59:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (59:20):
In fact, you even say this is not about Bigfoot.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Well that yeah, he was.

Speaker 4 (59:24):
And we're saying that if we any stories like this incredible,
we're telling you.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
There's an answer to it that is not it's a monster.

Speaker 4 (59:33):
It is likely from the demonic side of the spiritual
or that scripture says is going on all around us.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
Episode three. We'll talk about some of that again this week.

Speaker 4 (59:42):
So you're not going to go to the conference, I
am not. But Greg, is this Rabbi's house. I'll tell
you one thing, if they were having it over to
by my house, I would.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Greg, you got your great show. I would wear your
bluestaff shirty down. You're going.

Speaker 1 (59:56):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 4 (01:00:00):
Hey, can I just tell you this, The fight's not over.
I know things are going pretty well on the conservative
side and we get all fired up and we say, hey,
we got this.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):

A couple of things also to cover today. You know,
you just had a smooth, smooth trip, Speedy. I was
so excited about how well your trip went to Dallas went.
Other than you mojoing the stars, but as far as
the travel, it could not have gone smoother. Your flights

(01:02:35):
were very smooth. You and your son had a wonderful
time together. Now that was the end of the stars.
You know, run to the Stanley Cup. But let me
tell you they got a wind tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
It's buddy, you've done enough.

Speaker 11 (01:02:52):
Now.

Speaker 4 (01:02:52):
Speedy also has a pretty good impression of this particular animal.
We have a delta flight delayed. Why everyone was sitting
aboard the plane in Minneapolis?

Speaker 8 (01:03:05):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Why were they delayed?

Speaker 4 (01:03:08):
Two pigeons decided to be part of the passengers inside
the plane. Inside the plane. Here, here's here's some here's
foote I got.

Speaker 5 (01:03:22):
The women are screaming, and I think that's probably a
natural response if you have something flying around.

Speaker 2 (01:03:28):
I would my wife would probably know. Would you scream?
I wouldn't scream that.

Speaker 8 (01:03:33):
You don't.

Speaker 5 (01:03:34):
You really don't know how you're going to react. You know,
landed on one woman's head, so I'm sure she's screaming.

Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
You see the guy that those of you that can't
see it, this guy has nearly catches it in his jacket.
I guess, yes, his jacket. Don't know why he's got
a jacket in May, but uh, he's in Minneapolis, so
I guess. But he uh, he nearly caught the pigeon.
Pigeons got some good size too.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
Yeah that's a big pigeon.

Speaker 4 (01:03:55):
Yeah, And but it gets right through his jacket, right
into the woman's face behind him.

Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Sadly.

Speaker 5 (01:03:59):
Uh, there was also people, you know, a plane, and
in some situations, the plane can get a little bit warm,
but it also can be a little chilly as well.
So there was some ladies when when we were on
the flight that had like a little little throw or
a little you know, blanket of some kind that they would.

Speaker 4 (01:04:18):
Put your legs on some sort of winter clothing because
you were going to sit by the ice ring.

Speaker 5 (01:04:22):
Well now, uh, and and I also saw where some
people got their blankets out trying to catch it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
The pigeons great too of them. If you were on
there when you try to call it, if it was
flying over my head, oh you think you wouldn't have
got You would think he wouldn't got it letting that
touch my hood.

Speaker 5 (01:04:37):
Probably would have tried to talk to it down, you know,
maybe maybe if it's sit down like.

Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
That, you're communicating with it.

Speaker 4 (01:04:53):
Yes, me, uh, you realize to Adler's point, the pigeon,
the pigeon is the rodent of the of the bird world.

Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
Yes, that's a rat with wings. Yeah, another nasty what
he thinks?

Speaker 4 (01:05:07):
Hey, hey, greg O, pidge you're thinking you've seen him.

Speaker 2 (01:05:10):
You've sitting the drive through at a fast food restaurant
and say, no, pige over around the dumpster.

Speaker 5 (01:05:14):
Yeah, he'll show up, So you can't walk around French
quarter outs, not knocking one of them.

Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
Picture this speedy. You're trying to get round of your feet.
You're trying to get back for the Stallion's game, and
your flight is delayed. And I have the number here
in the story fifty six minutes because of pigeons, because
of stupid Peter still made it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:05:34):
I was thinking while we were taxing back and getting
ready to I was like, just don't don't anybody do anything.

Speaker 2 (01:05:40):
Don't anybody act a full something. Everybody just sit.

Speaker 5 (01:05:45):
Yeah, and then somebody they were probably thinking the same thing.
All of a sudden, these pigeons get in there and
start flying around this make tasting.

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Can I get my pigeons? Well, just take off? What
the pigeon gonna do? If somebody tell I'm gonna kick somebody,
but you pigeons, I'd rather fly, fro did rather fly
with the pigeon to be delayed?

Speaker 4 (01:06:02):
I would too, Greg. It's just pigeons.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
They're nasty.

Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
I hope they don't crap on me. But let's let's
see if we can't get this, y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
You're talking about to survive or just hey, I kind
of want to eat a pigeon.

Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
I bet it's a lot like a dove. That's not
that far on.

Speaker 2 (01:06:19):
A lot of dove eaten a lot of dove like
my favorite.

Speaker 4 (01:06:24):
Quail's my favorite. We love a quail.

Speaker 9 (01:06:27):
We used to kill so many doves and my dad's
would with my dad would grill them up. We ate,
We ate so much, and my mom was disgusted because
we had just shot him in our backyard.

Speaker 2 (01:06:36):
It was just horribly discussed the fence post, right maybe
off the right off?

Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
Did y'all do standard dove breast wrapped in bacon?

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Yes, yes, you love that. Oh yeah, it's great. What
about pigeon breast and bacon?

Speaker 4 (01:06:51):
I probably wouldn't have. I probably wouldn't know the difference.
If it was prepared right, I'd probably eat SUREL would
I probably eat that chawan a tight Yeah? I mean,
I mean if it was a time, if I didn't know,
I love that thing. Like people think they'll make these
declarations that they would never eat a dog or a cat.
You don't know, you probably already have.

Speaker 9 (01:07:09):
Oh my goodness, what pigeons and doves are essentially the
same species.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
I knew it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
I look exactly.

Speaker 9 (01:07:17):
The term dove is often used for smaller, lighter colored
members of the pigeon family.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
Yeah. Wow, they come to the bird feeder and they
look just like pigeons. I I'm in on the pigeon.

Speaker 11 (01:07:30):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
There are some places where they hunt wild pigeons and
they eat them like it's nothing. Sometimes you can there's
restaurants in other parts of the world where pigeons on
the menu.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
Are you serious? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:07:41):
And people gon't shoot.

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
Pigeons, people.

Speaker 4 (01:07:44):
And people, I'd I'd rather not eat old pigeons over
eating out of the McDonald's dumpster.

Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
But where can I eat a pigeon? Y'all?

Speaker 9 (01:07:54):
It's like the you know how squirrels have great pr
because of their fluffy tail. The doves have a great
pr They've got white feathers instead.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Of a little longer now they're not that.

Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
A lot of them are just gray though too. The
ones we have great Where can I eat a picture?
There's people that have eaten pigeon on tickation, no surprise there.
But Greg, I'm with you. You know what I say
to everybody? Can we Yeah, we all go with the pigeons.
Let's get home. I got somewhere I got to be.

Speaker 2 (01:08:20):
Let's go pigeon fly. He's just a pigeon.

Speaker 4 (01:08:22):
Yeah, if you were in there and you had some
Cooper's halk in there, they could call people's eyes outs different.

Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
That's different.

Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
By the way they will Cooper's hawk. I don't know
if y'all have them. They'll just set up in your
backyard and they do quite well. I see one dive
in the ditch. He's not all that big, and but
he can make it happen.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
He went to the ditch.

Speaker 9 (01:08:38):
I had one hit my windows, my front windows of
my house. I went to go open the blinds one day.
I looked down on the deck and there's just a
gigantic hawk. I got out there with a trash bag,
took care of it before anybody saw knocked.

Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
He broke his name done. He's heavy in that trash
bag too. You can feel his feathers. It goes uplifting story,
you know the other Hey, y'all, they serve pigeons around
here where I'm sitting here looking, it's not squab. Is
a young pigeon?

Speaker 8 (01:09:07):
Is that right?

Speaker 5 (01:09:08):
Sometimes it's offered up as a specialty item on menus
a fine dining established.

Speaker 4 (01:09:12):
I've had pigeon at a fancy restaurant somebody pretty good
I have it. No, I've seen it on the menu though.

Speaker 5 (01:09:17):
Oh they have some high end restaurants in Birmingham and
even Atlanta that that have.

Speaker 4 (01:09:24):
It's a different kind of pigeon though, it's not. It's
not your downtown pigeon. It's your like out there with
the dove.

Speaker 9 (01:09:29):
In the wild pigeon eating good food, not like you know.

Speaker 4 (01:09:32):
If I have my choice, though, I'm gonna go Quail
over over dub if I if I have a choice,
love quail.

Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
Rick. You've made that clear, buddy.

Speaker 9 (01:09:39):
Rick, have you how many of these have you had?
Look at this different foul You got turkey, goose, Barbara guinea.

Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
I've had turkey, I've had goose. I've had duck.

Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
I don't know I hadn't had a guinea, mallard to duck.
I don't know what that one is.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
I'm not about. Don't you say, why do you say that?

Speaker 13 (01:10:02):
Big?

Speaker 2 (01:10:02):
Don't say. Nobody's saying.

Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
I think it's pussing. Oh goodness and wow. I've had
quails and everybody had a partridge. I've had pheasant, I've
had I've had a ton of tree.

Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
Just no pigeon. Squad. How about I had.

Speaker 4 (01:10:20):
Pheasant get ready in London and they brought it out
and had one big old having in big old feathers
on the plate sticking out, had the head on.

Speaker 18 (01:10:31):
It, and you ate it.

Speaker 8 (01:10:33):
It was good.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
How do you look past? Do you feel like he's
looking back at you?

Speaker 4 (01:10:37):
Well, I just turned his head away where I couldn't
see him looking at him.

Speaker 9 (01:10:39):
It's like on a Christmas story and he's like, it's
it's smiling at me.

Speaker 2 (01:10:46):
And they took care of it. And by the way,
Speedy was right.

Speaker 9 (01:10:49):
Here's how you pronounced I've got the I've got the audio.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Particular type of foul pussing. I was right, you were right,
Thank you? Right again? Did you cause it my outh?
The type of vowel.

Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
By the way, somebody's right, duck is either fantastic or terrible.
There's no in between you or one taxtonation.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
You're one. I've had it, then I was. I've had
it where I went wow, a little greasy, and then
I was shrapping back and they're all good. Then I've
had it. I'm going young.

Speaker 9 (01:11:22):
Something weird when you cook it. Duck like expands when
you cook it instead of shrinking.

Speaker 8 (01:11:25):
Like normal men.

Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
It comes back to life. Yeah, and it's like this is.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
The Rick Burgess Show. He was told good luck finding
a job that would pay him to be the class cloud.
Rick Budgess, thanks for.

Speaker 4 (01:11:51):
Being with us today, America, another day together hanging out.

Speaker 2 (01:11:56):
Thank you for being with us.

Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
We got a lot still to come on the program,
and we thank you and we look forward to unscreen
phone calls coming up. Jared Hudson visits with us. We'll
talk to him about his announcement that he just made
and also, uh oh, what I looked at on the list?
What blue Belt ice cream? Drop?

Speaker 11 (01:12:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
Yeah, drop him by a new flavor.

Speaker 4 (01:12:22):
Bluebell ice cream? Is I'm sitting here trying to do so.

Speaker 10 (01:12:25):
I know.

Speaker 11 (01:12:26):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
We're gonna lose Greg. Yeah I'm not. I knew we're
gonna lose Greg on that may get a roll and
put it on top of it and calm down. All right.

Speaker 5 (01:12:38):
So it's raining and I have a Navy seal Jared
Hudson at the door and it's raining.

Speaker 4 (01:12:44):
Can I go get him in? He didn't care. He'll
standing at but I just tell you what they sit down.
He didn't run. I promise you that I know, I
just keep doing. He's a Navy seal. Why are you
worried about him? He's fine, He'll get in the bill.
He don't need you to get him in the building.

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
He'll get in.

Speaker 4 (01:12:59):
So okay, so let me let me ask you an adler,
because I know probably for speedy though this is a nightmare.
Hey Jared, Hey, Jared, I tell you not to worry
about you. You can stand out there in that rain. Okay, yeah,
it could have broke. Are good to see you, buddy.
There's that's just you can you can go well, okay,

(01:13:21):
good to see you. There, you go on there, Jared
comes there, it comes Jared again. You know when he
comes into I'm afraid he's gonna get me some kind
of hold. I can't get out the floor. That's right,
all right. So and I'm kind of glazed not in
here for this conversation because you know, when the navy
seal walks in kind of but so I don't. This

(01:13:44):
is always an awkward social thing. So, you know, we
talked about last hour, and thank you for all of
you that were willing to help. We got the whole
gutter thing handled at the house. So we're at work
and it's you know, it's it's we have we have
pretty long days.

Speaker 8 (01:13:58):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:14:00):
Do you ever just want to I mean, these people
and we all run into them. Okay, these we'll.

Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
Tell you what. It must be nice to only work
five hours a day. I know that you don't on
the air as all we do.

Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
Sometimes I just want to choke that person, you know,
And I know that's the wrong thing, choking the chokes
too much.

Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (01:14:17):
But there's that moment ago you really think we work
five hours, we.

Speaker 1 (01:14:20):
Must be nice, work for our day, got resty day.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Yeah, and you'll get off of it because we got
here early, right, and plus sometimes we don't get over.
We don't.

Speaker 4 (01:14:32):
There's a lot to me. Most of the work is
when the show's over.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:14:36):
Uh, this spark's fun. Yeah, it's all that's all the
other stuff we do. So anyway, so give me that
voice more time.

Speaker 12 (01:14:42):
Be nice.

Speaker 7 (01:14:44):
I work for five hours.

Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
You got reggy day.

Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
I can do that, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:14:49):
And I'm like, okay, it's but that, Chris, that's not
how it goes. But anyway, and that's fine. I mean,
how about this. There's a lot of people work hard.
We're not the only ones You're not the only one, no,
you know, and some people work harder than others, and yeah,
there's different, there's different, Hey, hey work.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
But anyway, so.

Speaker 4 (01:15:13):
This is an awkward social thing, especially as a man,
and of course me not being all that handy, it's
probably even more awkward. But even though I'm kind of
getting pretty handy. But when when there's somebody that's doing
work at your house, it's beautiful. If it's something they
can do while you're not there, and then you come
home and they're gone, that's beautiful. So I started thinking

(01:15:37):
to myself, when we finally, you know, and I told
you about yesterday, I met a nice guy and a
great company. They got it done, and I realized the
work was being done, and I kept watching the clock,
and I thought to myself, am I going to have
that guy awkward thing where I get home and there's
ladders on the house and he's on the ladder, and
then you get into the and speedy.

Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
This is your world of socially awkward things.

Speaker 8 (01:16:00):
You know?

Speaker 4 (01:16:01):
How many times do I engage them at all?

Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
I know, do I do?

Speaker 4 (01:16:05):
I walk out there and say, hey, that's pretty nasty
up there, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
How many times you say that.

Speaker 4 (01:16:09):
I asked, when you have someone doing work at your.

Speaker 5 (01:16:12):
House, you try to let them do your work. Did
you also, how often do you engage them? Do you
engage them at all?

Speaker 11 (01:16:17):
Do you?

Speaker 5 (01:16:17):
If you do, you engage them too much, they think
you're like micro managing them or really.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
Wanted to watch over them, you would have no, No,
I'm not trying to do their job, but I wanted
to make sure how you need you, I bet you
cover them up. I think I think of y'all. You
think of the HVACT. Folks are there to do their
you know, their check up on it or something like that,
and drink right, How often do you engage them? Because
I know I got home, I tell you it's hot?

(01:16:44):
Is it hot up there? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:16:45):
I get home and he and he's still there, and
and there's ladders and then and then well then here's
the Yeah. Like the first soon as I got out
of the truck, I thought, well, you have to say
something now. And on the worst case, and I told you,
some nimrod ran over were they couldn't figure how to
use a circle driveway when they.

Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
Blocked the road, and I was to turn around. Yeah,
it's not that hard. Guys just come through the drive.
It's one. It's fine.

Speaker 4 (01:17:08):
But anyway, so somebody tore up one of my sprinkler
heads backed over it. And so the sprinkler guy he's
out there working, he's fixing that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
There's like so I go and.

Speaker 4 (01:17:19):
So I go up and say, hey man, everything all right, Yo,
we're good. Then I said this thought this was good.
You need me to leave the garage you're roping for
you need to get into the irrigation system. Yeah, that'd
be great. So I thought, okay, I think. I think
that's all I do there.

Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:17:31):
Then I see the ladder guy and you know, I'm like,
he's I don't He's like, I didn't do I didn't
do I didn't do anything there other than hey man, man,
you got it. You get it done, man, thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
I did right. And then I go in.

Speaker 4 (01:17:47):
So then when you're dealing with gutters, what do you got?
The ladder comes by the windows. He's like a window washer.
Now he's looking at and so I'm sitting down and
I'm reading it something.

Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Look and there he is.

Speaker 8 (01:17:57):
Dude.

Speaker 2 (01:17:57):
Do I wave at him?

Speaker 10 (01:17:58):
I know?

Speaker 2 (01:17:59):
I mean, now now it becomes now it becomes the
person at the grocery store or the person in track
to get you know, how often do you engage, you know,
and the store.

Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
It's funny you said that, because sometimes you feel like
you have to announce what you're doing. Like one time
I went out there's not too long ago. The guy
was fixing fixing one of the sprinkler heads that had broke,
and I was just taking some garbage out. I know
what you have to tell, Like, it's my house. Why
I did the same?

Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Nothing out here looking over your shoulder, just taking garbage out. Yeah, yeah,
I'm going. You know what I announced the mail, getting
the mail, I mean always in the department in the
grocery store. My first line is always at least it
got me a lissum in the store. Okay, that's how.
But after that, I don't know what I say. You
know what I said that the grocery keep passing them
on the isle at each time. What am I supposed

(01:18:47):
to do? You know what I said at the grocery
store this week? So we meet again?

Speaker 4 (01:18:50):
I started that. Okay, I don't know where they meet.
So anyway, the worst part is weird. Then I can't
I don't know what he can see in the window,
can even see me?

Speaker 2 (01:18:59):
You know? Is there a so so?

Speaker 10 (01:19:01):
So?

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
I started testing it. So one time I looked I
me it was just so awkward. He forced me to move.
I moved from where I was set him. They couldn't
get it done quick enough. Not sitting here looking at you.
You just couldn't tell you this is where I normally
sits and do what I do. But you I don't
think I can stay here. I start trying to find
a house I went to. I went to a room
in our house. It has no windows. Yeah, going to

(01:19:22):
the basement because if I get where there's a window,
he's gonna keep coming by.

Speaker 4 (01:19:26):
And then one time I did a hand motion and
he didn't respond. I think, I don't think he can
see me, but it looks like he can see me.
I know I live in Sometimes often do you engage
people who are doing working.

Speaker 2 (01:19:35):
T ow last thing?

Speaker 8 (01:19:35):
You want me to do?

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
His bottles start, but I'll be in here if you
need me.

Speaker 4 (01:19:39):
You try to get them started, then pay them. Do
you agree that this is strictly a male thing? I
didn't see Sherry worry about it at all. She never
even remotely was turned about.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
Is this a guy thing.

Speaker 11 (01:19:48):
It is.

Speaker 4 (01:19:49):
Okay, what about she did such a good job, he said, Hey,
I'm already here. There's nobody here. You want to get started?
I thought to myself, No, Sherry's there. She just didn't
get bothered by this.

Speaker 2 (01:19:56):
Like I will. When I get home. You're gonna know
I'm there because I'm gonna not know what to do
with you. With with the women.

Speaker 9 (01:20:02):
If they like ignore the worker there, that's like appropriate
and normal.

Speaker 2 (01:20:06):
If we totally.

Speaker 9 (01:20:07):
Ignore the worker, that's like rude, and that's it's a weird.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
It's a different dynamic.

Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
Yeah, we're expected to engage, yes, but we can't engage
too much because now, like you said, it looks like
we're now we're becoming that supervisor that's on their nerves. Yes,
I don't think they like for us to give pointers.

Speaker 18 (01:20:23):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:20:24):
No, okay, let me tell you something.

Speaker 4 (01:20:26):
I'll force you. I'll force water on them.

Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
I don't and I shouldn't. I know you bet. Hey, man,
I can't say anything. I had dinner for one that
that's never happened. I can't say anything. We got my
own I got my own water in the truck. You sure,
here's the water?

Speaker 8 (01:20:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:20:42):
I got it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
I drink water every day. I'm grown.

Speaker 4 (01:20:45):
It's my job, right, it's recording, you know I kept doing. Hey, Rick,
he's aware roof right, there's trick getting it. He knows
that he deals with roots all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:20:57):
And you get the gutter. Can you get to it?

Speaker 18 (01:20:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:20:59):
Man, I you see why we can't get to it,
can't you?

Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
This is the Rick Burchers Show.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):

it earlier. Jared Hudson has been on the program before
we talked about Covenant Rescue. Of course, Navy Seal has

(01:22:20):
served our country and continues to do great work As
a matter of fact, you have an opportunity for those
of you that are in the Birmingham area. And it's
the dudes that I go to church with and I'm
leading the men's ministry at our church. We have a
lot of these things, you know, going on all of
the country with the Manchurch dot Com. And so our

(01:22:42):
next gathering will be coming up on June the fourteenth,
the Saturday morning before Father's Day, and Jared Hudson we'll
be speaking to our men. We're going to have a
breakfast and the first one hundred men that doesn't cost
anything to sign up, we'll get a free copy of
Men Don't Run in the Ring. And so if you
want to go to the event's button right there at

(01:23:04):
the manchurch dot Com look for June fourteenth, make plans
to join us. Even if you don't sign up and
you don't care about getting the free book, just come
on and be with us for that breakfast coming up
on June the fourteenth, and Jared Hudson is here. Well,
you sure have a you made yourself a little announcement,
haven't you.

Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
Yeah I did yesterday after or no, yesterday morning. I know, yeah,
you know it was you know you and I had
a conversation about this and when I when when we
hung up from the conversation, I thought, well, let's see
what happens. Tell us take us through the process of
you now deciding as Senator Tuberville has made his decision

(01:23:43):
that he will not seek reelection as the Senator from Alabama.
He will now run for governor of Alabama. What what
take us through the process of you deciding to run
for that Senate space. Yeah, so, I mean, it has
definitely been a process. I think what probably two weeks ago,
I called you just saying, hey, what are your thoughts

(01:24:04):
on this? Because I've been asked by quite a few
people up to that point. But really it goes back
to a year ago when people thought that Tommy was gonna,
uh take a position in Trump's cabinet. You know this
right for the election, I'd asked, hey, would you consider
you know, submitting for an appointment going through that process.
I'd been involved in politics here in Jefferson County running

(01:24:26):
for sheriff, and I'm the sheriff runner up and the
Republicans choice. I didn't I don't like saying I lost, no,
but uh, you know, running that race in Jefferson County
kind of kept me tied in politics. What I do
with Covenant Rescue Group, you know, kind of keeps time
in politics. So that's the people that reached out, and
I said, yeah, hey, i'll consider anything. I think they

(01:24:47):
were talking about possibly a special election. I said, I'll
consider anything, but I had no idea about it. And
then nothing happened with it. You know, it just kind
of died thought right, it was nothing, and then it
resurfaced again in March time frame, maybe yeah, probably about
two months ago, and I said, I'll consider it. With
some supporters of not just coach, but also of our

(01:25:08):
organization and of me and what I've done in the past,
I said, I'll consider it, and me and my wife
started praying about it, and I said, what do you
think we should do? Because of the word I kept
getting was ask your wife, do what she says, and
she kept saying, I think this is where God's moving
us to. I don't know why. I can't tell you
why because this is never on our radar, right, And

(01:25:28):
so I started walking through the process trying to push
it over, and it kept standing back up. You know,
every little thing we stepped to now I will preface
it with this as a believer. We just talked about
this off the air. Green lights don't always mean it's
God r and friction or red lights don't always mean
it ain't God right right, So you have to be
discerning in that man and all I could get seeking

(01:25:50):
godly counsel, godly wisdom from people I know, hey do
you think we should do this? And it was just
green light after green light until finally, about a week ago,
I met with some people through some friends in Washington,
d C. Went up for this specifically. Of course I
was up for Law Enforcement Week the week before, but
this is after that, and it was green lights all

(01:26:11):
the way through the people who would give me a
red light. I even asked the last guy, say he's
like the final boss in a Batman game. I asked
him specifically. I said, bro, I'm looking for red lights.
He said, you ain't get one from us. And so
that was where we're at. And then Coach announced the
other day and I almost I called into Leland full intentions,
just saying hey, I'm doing this, but I with some

(01:26:34):
paus I said, you know what, let's give it the evening.
I bet somebody's gonna come out on the six o'clock news,
and depending on who it is, maybe maybe that's a
red light. Maybe we don't do this. Not a single
soul man, super quiet. And I told my wife. I
was like, we're going to do this. And in sniper school,
whenever you're going through sniper school, and we teach sniper school,
we'd say, hey, give me a win, call three right,
send it. And I said, we fire this bullet out

(01:26:56):
of gun. I ain't coming back, babe. She said send it.
So the next morning went on j T and made
the magic happen and ruined my life and picking j T.
No way to take that back, No, no way to
take that back. I said, speedy a text. And the
more I was driving out, I said, you know what,
I better send these guys a text. Let them know
ahead of time. No, I don't want to show up

(01:27:17):
here and get beat up.

Speaker 4 (01:27:20):
Let me tell you, j T would love to see
You've got right now, love j We got some great stories.

Speaker 2 (01:27:27):
He's a good dude.

Speaker 4 (01:27:28):
Yeah he's a little expensive, but he's a good So
now that's a that's a running joke between me and JT.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
So this is the this is the.

Speaker 4 (01:27:38):
Bottom line on these type of decisions as as a
follower of Christ, is this going to enhance my ability
to advance the kingdom?

Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
Or is it going to be a detriment.

Speaker 4 (01:27:49):
And one of the first things that you know, when
you and I were talking that was concerned to me
is this something that will enhance Covenant Rescue or or
will it take you away from it? And you had
your conversation with them, how do you see this step
as far as affecting this And those of you who
don't know what Covenant Rescue does, it's talking about the
sex trade and rescuing people from the sex trade and

(01:28:11):
holding people accountable. Who are these wicked, evil people.

Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
That do that?

Speaker 1 (01:28:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:28:16):
And so this step, how will those two work together?

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
No, that's a great question. And the and take a
sip on my coffee. Yeah, the with Covenant Rescue group,
you know, and meeting with a team there. We do
training for law enforcement all over the nation, right, and
we've got operations. When I say operations, that's really a training.
We run a bunch of different training programs, whether it's
child exploitation or bread and butter counter tracking, working with

(01:28:42):
the juvenile probation officers, from missing children in certain counties
in Alabama and also in certain states. So we have
that program built out, and we've been building it out
since you know, we started in twenty eighteen, and that
will run itself when we have a great team in
place of are we're changing his title. I don't know
why we're changing titles, but he's our executive director right now,

(01:29:04):
Stuart Hartley. He will continue to do what he's doing.
They don't need me to run and that's the goal.
I mean, when I was in the Seal teams, one
thing I learned is, you know, yeah, I'm a sniper
behind a gun, but if I get shot, we got
to get another sniper behind a gun. That's just the
nature of the world we live in. And so we've
we've done a good job about making sure we have
some depth, at least for as small of an organization

(01:29:27):
as we are. We have some depth. So that mission
will continue. And obviously we know that a political race
will bring a lot of optics to that because it's
just a political race. Is just a marketing, you know,
scheme doubt. That's some of thing I thought.

Speaker 4 (01:29:40):
You can now if the Lord allows you can regardless
even in the running process, you'll be able to get
into inside the government. So, hey, we got a problem
that we need that needs to be addressed, and you
can be working the faith based, which is already done,
but also working from the worldly you know, platforms and
the worldly government, so that also can be you know,

(01:30:01):
a great asset.

Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
No, you're exactly right, and you just said, you know,
kind of the worldly versus faith based. I mean, what's
the Bible tell us says friendship with the world is
enmity with God. So one of the things I've looked at,
all of the people that are part of the political
team don't necessarily like this because we do have a
team together. There was a team put together and ready
to throw the switch when I threw the switch yesterday morning,
and they're actively working on this campaign for me. But

(01:30:25):
I don't want to be a friend of the world.
If you're listening to me right now and you say, hey,
you know, I'm not going to listen to anything this
guy says, your vote. It's important in the campaign, but
it ain't the most important thing. Let me tell you
right now, if you hear me, the most important thing
about whatever it is that I'm doing is that I
present Christ and Christ crucified. To me is Jesus live
a perfect life. Came to this earth and live a

(01:30:45):
perfect life. God rose again on the third Day for
my sins and yours, everybody at this table, and it's
through him we're set free. If you transact with Christ eternally,
that's far more important than a vote. That's far more
important than a dollar towards Covenant Rescue Group than a
dollar toward a campaign. And that is the most important
thing because it is eternal. That's the one thing that matters.
The next most important thing for me is my wife

(01:31:06):
and my girls and how I guide them ultimately to
the person of Christ, but how I raise them so
they can be members of society that actually bring good
into the world, ultimately the good of Jesus Christ. And
then obviously we get into what we're doing, whether it's
Covenant Rescue Group or this campaign, this is a bigger
platform to share Christ fall. Yeah, it's the bottom line.

(01:31:28):
Have you got to run?

Speaker 4 (01:31:29):
You got another second?

Speaker 2 (01:31:30):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 4 (01:31:32):
We'll talk one more segment with Jared and so he
is going to be running for that to send its
spot to represent Alabama. You've heard kind of the background.
We're going to dig a little deeper when we come back,
and again you want to come here. Jared in Birmingham
speak with us with the Man Church at Valleydale Church.
Those details at the Manchurch dot com under events.

Speaker 1 (01:31:54):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. This is what Trump
had in mind when he sought to make America great again.
The Rick Burgers Show.

Speaker 4 (01:32:16):
Well, we're having a blast. Thank you America for being
with us. Jared Hudson our guest. Well, he's announced that
he will run for Senate, so let's jump into what
that means. And we were discussing a little bit off air,
but it's the first thing I thought of, and is
that And I've even thought about. You know, people, boy,

(01:32:37):
it's got to be a call because you're you're about
to step into the arena. I think right now, the
two sides politically, when we're dealing with the ideology, there's
no there's not a whole lot in common like the
old days. Well I'm a little more this way and
we have a disagreement on taxes that now it is

(01:32:59):
world ideology that are opposed and they're gonna come after you,
and it's it's ugly, ugly, so I know you've had
these discussions, or your wife wouldn't have said what she said.
But talk to us a little bit about you're about
to take your family and step into this mean, dark,
twisted arena of I will go out and destroy somebody

(01:33:23):
if I have to, just so they so I can
win an election. Uh, talking about the parties against each other.
I know you're not going to do that, but but
to have talk a little bit about stepping your family
through this.

Speaker 2 (01:33:33):
Yeah, so the only thing I want to destroy, by
the way, is this dad, big boy behind me.

Speaker 4 (01:33:39):
Well, you come over here, you don't like thinking there's
somebody behind you.

Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
Do well, I don't like thinking there's a big boy
behind me. That guy the way he cuts his eyes,
so he's untrustworthy. But yeah, so, well that's one thing
that's kind of sickening, sickening in politics because you've got
a bunch of a bunch of folks who a lot
of man ever been in a fistfight, right? I know
some of the some of the guys, some of the
senators up there that've I met, and that whether they

(01:34:04):
were team guys like me, I know a lot of
them that were seals or whether they were cage fighters Bay.
They might have done some of that, but for the
most part, it's a bunch of paper cowboys. John Dutton
terrible show. Don't watch it if you're a Christian, by
the way, Yellowstone series. But he said, you know, we
live in a world of coward's customs and coward's rules,
and that is honestly what it is. And they'll claim

(01:34:26):
that they're a warrior, but man, they ain't ever done nothing.

Speaker 8 (01:34:30):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:34:30):
It's kind of like a gladiator. You know, he's he's
coming in as a conquering king, but what is he conquered?
That's what they asked about the Sun the bad guy,
and so we've seen that with politicians. So what do
they do. They go after each other. And it's actually
what Satan does to us. He's called the Great Accuser,
and they pull skeletons out of people's calls that they
drag their family through stuff, They make up stuff to

(01:34:51):
to to drag their family through it. And it's and
it's honestly pretty disgusting. One of the other things, though,
is you might not have a candidate that does it.
You might have and I've learned it us more recently
over the past few months. You might have an organization
like a pack or a super pack or something that's
supportive of a certain candidate. They have no control over, right,
that's what that that's what that group does. They pull

(01:35:13):
out and they attack, you know, opponents and things like that.
It shouldn't be the what you know, Hey, this is
this is my resume. That's good, but it shouldn't be
the what of the process. It should be the who
you know, who is it that's going to represent us?
That that is important. But at the same time, dragging
people's family through stuff, making stuff up, the cockroach and

(01:35:34):
the salad thing, I think that's honestly, I think it's
of the devil because he's the great accuser.

Speaker 4 (01:35:38):
Yeah, so it's a lot like we talked about this
a little bit yesterday in the Wednesday Bible study. You're
living in this time now and we are too. Two
different platforms but the same thing where social media has
provided cowards a dream because now I can cowardly hide,

(01:35:58):
never reveal my identity. I can go out in a
public arena, I can accuse you, I can say things
about you, never have to face you, never have to
tell you who I am. It's one of the things
when Dad we were talking about the new book. Dad
never would go on sports shows.

Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
He hated to do that.

Speaker 4 (01:36:15):
And when we said, why do you not like going
to these sports talk shows, he says, because somebody can
call say anything they want to about you and stay anonymous.
He goes, you know, if somebody can face me and
look me in the eye and say something, then we
can talk this out.

Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
Man demand, Well, they'd be less apt to say it,
and they wouldn't do it because the risk of getting
punched in the mouth. It's like what you just said,
what we're doing now, you know how you talk about
with this setup right here is right for filling the blank.
We are living in a society right now where cowards
are living their dream. It is a cowardly environment where

(01:36:48):
cowards finally get to say what they want to say
and never have to face anybody. And so you know
you're prepared for that.

Speaker 4 (01:36:55):
I know, but I mean social media just you know,
do like Trump did, take social media and use it
for your advantage.

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Well, the ugly place out there, somebody it might have
been my as one of my brothers or something, because
we still have I mean, we get attacked with c RG.
I get attacked what I you know, what I do there,
And people will say things all the time because we
have a pretty you know, big platform, I guess for
what we do. That being said, people will say, oh,
this guy is not the real deal. This guy's probably

(01:37:22):
a pedophile. This guy's probably a guy who you know
has child porn. I mean, all the time, that's what
we see on these comments. And so somebody, my brother said, hey, dude,
do you ever read all these comments? I mean, you
got like ninety ninety five percent of the people love
love you, and then but you got these five percent
that the Bible calls scoffers. There's coffers right there. And
I said, no, I don't read any of the comments
because if you read all of the good ones, you'll

(01:37:44):
become arrogant. It will make you think you're more than
you really are, because I'm not any of those things
that they're saying. I'm a center saved by grace. If
you read the negative ones, it'll make you forget who
actually holds you. And that's in my case, the person
of Jesus Christ. I believe that it should be for everybody.
So you know, you just can't get get dialed into
that social media because it scoffers. It's you know, throwing

(01:38:05):
your pearls before swine. You just got to use social
media for what it's good for, marketing for what we're
doing when you need to raise support and then get
your message out there. But that message has got to
be something other than you, and in my case now
running for US Senate, it's always going to be Christ
and Christ crucified. But secondly, I'm going to be your representative,

(01:38:26):
whether you vote for me or not, I'm going to
be the representative of the people. Because the first words
of the preamble, right, the preamble of the Constitution, we
the people. If you're hearing me, you're the kings and
queens of this land. And that liberty that you have,
that leadership you have, comes with a responsibility. And part
of that responsibility is electing that representative who's going to go,
in this case to Washington, d C. And bring the

(01:38:48):
needs of Alabama to Washington, d C, protect the state
of Alabama, the United States of America, and not bring
the stupidity of Washington, d C back to Alabama. And
that's really what it is.

Speaker 4 (01:38:58):
Well there, it is, Well, look we're uh, we're praying
for you and uh love what you have already done,
you know, with the platform that God's given you. And
it's going to be interesting to see the journey that
God's got you on now.

Speaker 2 (01:39:11):
And thank you brother, and we're here with you. We'll
walk with you.

Speaker 4 (01:39:14):
And looking forward to you coming to speak to our
guys coming up in just a couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:39:20):
I'm looking forward to that too. I will bring, uh,
I don't know how many books you said, I'll have
fifty of my books there for the first fifty to
sign up. Oh really yeah, for free, I'll bring.

Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
Okay, okay, all right, well look at it now, say
so boy, if you're the first vimpty getting two boats, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:39:33):
You get two books.

Speaker 4 (01:39:33):
I got that as it's free pamphlet and there's no
ticket to buy. We just need to know you're coming.
So find that at the Manchurch dot com under events.

Speaker 2 (01:39:41):
Wreck his website. Hudson for Alabama dot com. Hudson for
Alabama dot com. Thank you, speedy, Hudson for Alabama dot Com.
Let's let's get him started. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (01:39:52):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. America sleeps well every night.
Just knowing these four men are on the air the
Rick Budget, Thank you America.

Speaker 4 (01:40:14):
Enjoying hanging out with you again today. Always a blast
unstreamed phone calls coming up, probably before this hour is done.
Do you want to hit you with a little something
from Field of Greens? I love, love love getting all
these great, great testimonies of how this incredible product that
has changed my life is changing so many of yours.

Speaker 2 (01:40:35):
Now look at this one.

Speaker 4 (01:40:36):
Here's a mom who listens just about every day. She said,
after Field of Greens, my hair and nails, energy, and
blood work are all better.

Speaker 2 (01:40:46):
I love that one. Here's another one.

Speaker 4 (01:40:47):
This one comes from another one of our listeners who says,
for the first time in years, my cholesterol numbers were normal.
So let me ask you this question and be honest.
Our annual doctor checkups, the labs, the blood work, are
they important to you? Does it bring you peace of mind?

Speaker 2 (01:41:03):
Or normally? Do you go here we go again.

Speaker 4 (01:41:05):
How would you like for your doctor to walk out
and say, hey, we just check the blood work. That's great,
that's good. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Did you
know that Field of Greens is so confident that they've
mastered the science of nutrition, and this wonderful product on
the ripe fruits and vegetables the ones we've always known
helped the vital organs perform at top efficiency. What would

(01:41:27):
you do if I told you, maybe the first time
you've heard about it. Field of Greens is so confident
that if you take this product and follow the instructions
that your blood work will be better, and if it's not,
they'll give you your money back. Go to Field of
Greens right now, and once you get started, I'll help
you too. Have any questions about it. We're also are
going to save you some money. Use the code big vox.

(01:41:49):
Use that fieldgreens dot com save twenty percent. There's also
a link at Rick Burgess show dot com under the
sponsors butt sor Thanks to Jared Hudson for being with
Hint with us today. I told the guys I've gone
back and forth on whether Tubberville running for governor and
not being our senator. I was looking to get a
piece about that, somebody like Jared Hudson saying I'll step in.

Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
I'll feel much better. Yeah, for sure. So there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:42:15):
Good to visit with him again. All right, So a
couple of things now that we're kind of in that vein.
We'll finish a few more. So Elon Musk has officially
stepped down from dose. He said, I have done my work.
I've worked on streamlining the government. I have exposed the
government waste. I have exposed that your federal government is

(01:42:37):
literally stealing from you, the people. So and he my
work is done here, and I hope that this becomes
a normal way of life as we hold our government
and their spending accountable. We have Trump who says, Okay,
now that we know everything that has been exposed, are
we going to do anything about it?

Speaker 2 (01:42:58):
And sadly no.

Speaker 4 (01:42:59):
Shotucker a lot of those in the government said, hey,
you might have busted us, but we're not changing anything.
And here is Trump talking about how basically we have
people in our government that are completely ignoring everything that's
been exposed about them. So here is President Trump.

Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
We don't have one Democrat vote.

Speaker 19 (01:43:22):
And if I were a Democrat, I'd be voting for
this bill and I'd get elected to any position I
want as a Democrat.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
They're crazy.

Speaker 19 (01:43:29):
They're voting for a sixty five percent tax increase.

Speaker 2 (01:43:32):
And they're only doing it for hatred. They're not doing
it for any reason.

Speaker 4 (01:43:36):
They know it's terrible. Well, and that's the problem when
we the people get caught in the middle of political
power seeking and they're saying, if we vote for this
and it goes well, a lot of us will lose
our jobs. And he said, no, I think if you
vote for it, it goes well, you can actually tell
your constituents that you did what was right for America,

(01:43:58):
no matter what political party he was in charge or
proposed the bill. Next, Oh, Governor Ron DeSantis. And I
know this is long addler, but I you cut it
when you when you when you see it from it.
So he he cannot believe that there's not one Doze
cut being voted on by Congress after all of us

(01:44:19):
clearly saw what they were doing.

Speaker 2 (01:44:20):
Yeah, he can't believe it.

Speaker 9 (01:44:22):
He's going to talk about the deficit and then pivot
to the Elon Musk cut.

Speaker 2 (01:44:25):
Right here we go.

Speaker 20 (01:44:26):
Brillion dollar deficit is a tax on you. Uh, it
works its way through the economy. There's no free lunch,
and that's what ends up happening. And it's a little frustrating.
You know, Elon Musk went into this Doze effort. Uh,
he was getting lampooned. I mean like they're fire bombing
his Tesla dealerships, media, smearing him relentlessly. His business has

(01:44:51):
suffered all this stuff because he basically said, look, we
can't keep doing this, and we need to moderate and
reduce the of money that the federal government is spending.
And yet we have a Republican Congress and to this day,
we're in the end of May, past Memorial Day, and
not one cent in DOGE cuts have been implemented by

(01:45:14):
the Congress. That's one of the reasons why we need
a balanced budget amendment to the US Constitution. Right, that's
another reason why we need term limits for members of Congress.

Speaker 4 (01:45:32):
So that is perplexing. It would be one thing to
find out that they're still not changing anything because we
don't know the fact that we know and this is
Republican and Democrat, the fact that we know, and they're
still not responding to make the changes that we all,

(01:45:53):
as the American people, have said you got to stop this,
and they haven't not do anything. Well, the arrogance of that,
yeah is blinding.

Speaker 2 (01:46:03):
Don't get don't get released to cracking all that cracking
you okay over, Yeah, struggling. Can we hear Elon Musk
talk about some.

Speaker 9 (01:46:12):
Dose wastes that he found in those Yeah, this is
an older clip, but it, you know, kind of sums
it all.

Speaker 4 (01:46:19):
The kind of stuff they're not addressing.

Speaker 2 (01:46:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:46:21):
Yes, the sheer amount of waste and forward in the government,
it is astonishing. It's mind blowing. Just we routinely encounter
wastes of a billion dollars or more casually. You know,
for example, like the simple survey that was literally ten

(01:46:42):
question survey that you could do with survey monkey qushed
about ten thousand dollars. Was the government was being charged
almost a billion.

Speaker 1 (01:46:49):
Dollars for that for just the survey.

Speaker 10 (01:46:50):
A billion dollars for a simple online survey do you
like the National Park? And then there pays me no
feedback loop for what would be done with that survey.
So the so we would just go to nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:46:59):
It's like it's saying.

Speaker 4 (01:47:04):
I had Money's well, I think as long as we
still have the opportunity. I think this is one of
those things. And I think we've all been there, have you?
Have you some of you that have ever run a
business or coached a team, okay, something like that somewhere
where you have a say, on who's with you? Okay,
and you come in and say, hey, we have seen

(01:47:25):
you do this, this and this, and these things need
to change and they don't change, well you fire them. Yeah, okay,
we we we we pointed to the things that have
to change. And if the things change, great, But if
you point to things that need to change, then you

(01:47:45):
and they don't change.

Speaker 2 (01:47:46):
Them, you get rid of them, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:47:49):
And this analogy We've said a thousand times. And I
told you this before. One time when I was coaching
and I had a player that asked me why he
didn't play more?

Speaker 2 (01:47:58):
Do you remember this?

Speaker 4 (01:48:00):
And I said, okay, well, I'm glad you asked. I'm
going to actually.

Speaker 2 (01:48:04):
Tell you that.

Speaker 4 (01:48:06):
And I'm not out to like you heard Barkley and
Saban talking about. I'm really not in the business of
playing players that aren't the best. So do you remember
when I put you in the game? And he said yes?
And you said, you remember how many times we went
over and over again on the fact that you keep
dropping passes that are thrown to you perfectly. Yes, And

(01:48:27):
I put you in the game and you came down
to the middle of the defense wide open.

Speaker 2 (01:48:30):
Do you remember that? He said?

Speaker 11 (01:48:31):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:48:32):
I said, do you remember what happened when somebody threw
you a perfect pass?

Speaker 4 (01:48:36):
And he said yes. I said, you didn't catch it
and it bounced around on the ground and the other
team got it and scored.

Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
Do you remember that? And he said yes?

Speaker 4 (01:48:44):
And I said that's why you don't play more. If
you had caught it and scored, you would play more.
And so are we ever going to get to the
point where we just say to these people enough and
fire them.

Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
You still have the vote.

Speaker 4 (01:49:00):
I don't care if they're a Republican or Democrat. If
they see this, they know, we see this kind of
waste and this kind of stealing from us our money.
And if we don't fire them, then we're the chumps.
It's on us.

Speaker 2 (01:49:14):
Because we know now and and thanks to Musk and
those we know specific waste, grotesque waste. And if we
don't respond as the people and fire everybody who won't
make those changes, then we're the chumps. We get what
we deserve.

Speaker 4 (01:49:34):
Yeah, it's on us. Yeah, you remember the Hey, it's
my bad. That's my bad now, you know, because because
I keep voting for you.

Speaker 2 (01:49:40):
Yeah, that's on me.

Speaker 9 (01:49:42):
Incredibly frustrating for Ron to send us to say those
bought the swamp in so far the swamp has won.
That is incredibly demoralizing and frustrating.

Speaker 4 (01:49:54):
We'll be back more of the Rick Burgess Show, so
you're updated there and we'll continue to run through the
stories of the day. And we thank you for being
with us.

Speaker 1 (01:50:06):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. The truth needs no apology,

(01:50:27):
The Rick Burgers Show.

Speaker 2 (01:50:30):
Here we are America spending time together again today. Thank
you for being with us, having a blast. Things that
you need to be aware of.

Speaker 4 (01:50:40):
Yesterday's Wednesday Bible Study archive now available if you haven't
caught it and desire to on the YouTube channel or
the podcast channel. Coming up this weekend, Episode four Tales
from the camp House. It is the Burgess Bass Battle
Part two, the actual fishing action. And those of you
we've seen episode three, what did Gary do to Speedy?

(01:51:05):
You saw that highlight? It will be in this episode,
so catch that coming up this weekend. Also, episode three
of the brand new podcast Strange Encounters will be coming
out this weekend as well, our new podcast that unpacks
and talks about spiritual warfare. And if you've missed it,
there's two episodes you need to go catch up on. Okay,

(01:51:27):
so those are things to kind of get you caught
up on what's going on around us. But also we
have a couple more emails I want to work through,
and there's some there's some pretty good questions in here
and things that we can address, and there's a there's
there's also an ongoing thing that is happening. Greg The
first one will be about nutrition. I'm just kidding it.

Speaker 2 (01:51:45):
Yes, that friend, I just did that to aggravate you, Gregory. Gregor,
you ever told you they cut bread out? I got
out bread rig lost eighty pounds. Thank you. Just stay
the heck of a lot of bread, said, I get you,

(01:52:07):
but I don't need enough that I go over.

Speaker 4 (01:52:09):
Yeah, hey Bird, Hey, Birge, Brandon, y'all were talking about
tipping on today's show. That's right, that was yesterday. If
I sit down to dine, I leave a tip. If
I just walk in to pick it up and leave,
I do not leave a tip.

Speaker 2 (01:52:25):
I feel pressured.

Speaker 4 (01:52:27):
Most places want you to leave eighteen to twenty percent.
That's not happening.

Speaker 2 (01:52:32):
I walked in.

Speaker 4 (01:52:32):
All you did was have my food ready for me
to pick up. When I walked in. You didn't even
cook it. God only asked for ten percent. You want
eighteen to twenty percent for me to just pick up
a bag you handed me and pay for it. I'm
not sure that that they're asking for an appropriate tip.
Love the show, have a great day. So he says,

(01:52:54):
sit down, he tips if he comes in to pick
it up. He doesn't.

Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
Yeah, that's a that's a tough time. I would like
to be that way. But I'll catch myself going well, and.

Speaker 5 (01:53:03):
I catch myself to it tip and because I'm thinking,
you know, the cooks and everybody back, you know, and
the person that's that's bringing up the order, they're probably
all underpaid and looking for tips anyway, and so I
try to give them. I try to feel like I
feel lad to do something, even if I'm just picking
it up.

Speaker 4 (01:53:20):
Understand your point, but I'm like you, I just do
it for no other reason, just to be kind, not
because I think they they it's fair or is it justified?
Sometimes you just do things for you used to be nice. Yeah,
you just it's hard for you. Plus you'll label me
is cheap, so you are cheap? Yeah that nobody they don't.
They're like, you probably won't it thirty eight.

Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
Cents in a great tip must be nice to worth
five hours a day and never have to tip.

Speaker 9 (01:53:46):
So yeah, Rick, I will say I've got uh you know,
I've been working for you guys for a long time.
And when I was younger, I had a lot of
friends in the service injury industry.

Speaker 2 (01:53:56):
Uh, not as much, but I will say that I've.

Speaker 9 (01:54:00):
Actually ran into many people who you didn't know, you know,
they knew me or anything like that. I'm a little
bit bit, but many people said that you are an
incredible tipper. I've had multiple people tell.

Speaker 2 (01:54:12):
Me you're looking at me. I'm not looking at you,
and you're looking at me.

Speaker 9 (01:54:17):
I couldn't tell who you're looking at, Rick, But yeah,
so I thought that was I just want to pass
out along to you.

Speaker 8 (01:54:22):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:54:23):
People notice that stuff. Well it's a big deal.

Speaker 13 (01:54:25):
It really is.

Speaker 4 (01:54:25):
Well and that's it's no other It's no more complicated
than I know that I have been blessed. Uh, And
I know that these people are hustling, and uh, you know,
And and I don't even do the thing of I'm
not saying that I don't you know, if somebody does
a poor job that I want to dress it. But
a lot of times I'm like, well, this single mom

(01:54:46):
or this student, they still are struggling for money even
if they didn't do a very good job today. And
sometimes you just do it for that no other reason.
I've been blessed and I'm passing it on and it
always comes back to you. You know the other thing
that also also happens with that you get treated really
really well because they appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (01:55:04):
You know, my daughter was in college, she was a waitress,
and she said, normally the people who were the worst
tippers were also the most needy. They would they drove
you nuts the whole time they were in there, want stuff,
needing stuff on this one, and then they wouldn't even.

Speaker 9 (01:55:17):
And then they'd round up a dollar. Yeah, thanks for
the eighty sixth cents.

Speaker 2 (01:55:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:55:21):
Yeah, it's just like coaching. Sometimes the biggest handles of
parents is the parents of the worst player.

Speaker 2 (01:55:26):
M boy, that one. You could tell that one had
some real, some reality to it. You've lived that one,
hadn't you. Yeah, just I'm just speaking real.

Speaker 4 (01:55:35):
Do you ever have the parent this usually applies to
This is to your major team sports, which.

Speaker 2 (01:55:39):
Athletically, which is always play.

Speaker 4 (01:55:41):
Yeah, you know the other one that I always found
that was interesting is the parent that their kid is
actually playing, but they don't like the position they're playing.

Speaker 2 (01:55:48):
Yeah, ain't that something?

Speaker 4 (01:55:49):
And I'm like, your kids actually playing? Yeah, yeah, but
I think he's a linebacker. I'm like, well, you're delusional. Yeah, yeah,
he's a pretty good cover cornerback. Of how come you
can't be happy with that?

Speaker 2 (01:55:59):
Plus he's ten, so let's yeah, let's give it him.
It just calm down.

Speaker 4 (01:56:03):
There's that mom over there whose kid didn't get to play.
I bet he'd play any positions.

Speaker 2 (01:56:06):
Sure.

Speaker 4 (01:56:07):
And hey Bird, hey Burge. I am loving the new
Rick Burgess Show experience. Not sure how much rain you
guys have gotten over the past month a bunch, but
it seems like it's been raining in northwest Tennessee for
forty days and forty nine. Now, this is interesting from Josh.
After hearing so much about the new book, I've been

(01:56:29):
finding myself going outside just to walk in the rain.
I feel like I'm making up funny, I'm making up
for years of running. And it's like our old coach Burgess,
these moments of walking. I'm walking in the rain when
it's not even necessary. It's like I have to make
up for the last thirty seven years of running in
the rain?

Speaker 2 (01:56:49):
Is that odd?

Speaker 4 (01:56:50):
Love the show? Look forward to diving into the book.
Love you guys, Kenton, Tennessee. Also did we ever figure
out the Gary Turkey hunt?

Speaker 2 (01:56:57):
No, we did not know. We never got the.

Speaker 4 (01:57:00):
Here's how it needs to work.

Speaker 2 (01:57:01):
You got some land you want me to come, hon on,
we'll do it. Garry.

Speaker 4 (01:57:04):
That's not a giveaway. That's you winning. But anyway, Josh
that there's no need to do that. I mean, if
you if you find yourself tramped in it, and I
think a lot of you, that's all this is about. Yeah,
you know a minute ago, Speedy was like wanting us
to walk around the building and not run. And what
would Dad think about that? And I think he would
think that was stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:57:26):
No, that it was a challenge.

Speaker 5 (01:57:27):
Yeah, And I said, if I make this shot, then Greg,
you got to walk around the building in the rain
and you can't run.

Speaker 2 (01:57:34):
That's that's it.

Speaker 5 (01:57:35):
And I will say this, I did make it from
way back here and Adler a trip around shirtless.

Speaker 2 (01:57:42):
Your fourth or fifth trial. This one's the one that
was the first one for that, but this is the
one that counts this time by.

Speaker 4 (01:57:51):
The way singing all this text nation. I'm a woman
and now I'm walking in the rain.

Speaker 2 (01:57:55):
Dad. I mean it's like.

Speaker 4 (01:57:58):
Anyway, Hey bird, Burge, this is from Jeremy Rick Burgess.
Do not let them stop you.

Speaker 2 (01:58:05):
You die on this hill.

Speaker 4 (01:58:07):
Burgers are not supposed to be smashed. Burgers are meant
to be thick and juicy, not flat and dried out.
I've been telling folks this for years. We were, we
are at it. Blackstone Griddle is just an oversized skillet.
I've been fighting on this hill for a long time,
and I'm willing to die on it. Please down it
with me. I'm in Jared.

Speaker 2 (01:58:26):
But you've never had a smash burger, right, Yes, I've
had them for years. They just want to call that
h Have you ever seen the smash bird? This new
thing juicy? H Hey burj a merge.

Speaker 4 (01:58:37):
Talk to me about how you guys is how do
y'all measure the listening audience from digital now to terrestrial?
How do you know how many people are listening and
watching and engaging? How do y'all even know this? That's
a great question. Well, by the way, I've been with
the show since the Rick and Bubba days and Gadston.
I was leary the new show. I understand that that's natural,

(01:58:58):
but I can say I've not missed one episode. I
love the new show.

Speaker 2 (01:59:01):
Kenny. You know that, Kenny.

Speaker 4 (01:59:04):
It is more difficult now Kenny than ever. You you
can look at like participation, you can you know, there
are still some things you get through the terrestrial world
that gives you some indication. You know, it's a it's
a difficult thing, but there's all kinds of what are
those things called that we get that gives you all know,

(01:59:26):
the stuff in the digital world.

Speaker 2 (01:59:28):
All these you can look at.

Speaker 4 (01:59:30):
These analytics, analytics, analytics kind of give you an idea
in the digital world a little bit too. And it's
it's been great.

Speaker 1 (01:59:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show broadcasting from the world

(02:00:08):
the Rick Burchase.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
Here we go, let's go America, brand new hour onstream.
Phone calls will happen in this hour. We'll get to
those probably the next seconment. Okay, make sure of being
with us and we if you've missed in the show,
you better catch those daily archives.

Speaker 4 (02:00:24):
Baby, They're available on our podcast channel or our YouTube channel.
You never have to miss a moment of The Rick
Burgess Show. Available on demand on your time.

Speaker 2 (02:00:39):
Also that it's good to use when you go. Did
you hear this on the show that you said you
see that?

Speaker 4 (02:00:43):
Now I missed it? Man, all right, let's diald that.

Speaker 2 (02:00:45):
Let's have a look.

Speaker 4 (02:00:46):
Nothing better than husbands and wives going all right? How
much of the show did you catch today?

Speaker 2 (02:00:50):
Family?

Speaker 4 (02:00:51):
Kids sitting around? Would we miss death? And so so
you get to good chance to go back and check
it out. As a matter of fact, after and I
got a chance, had a little fellow that was out
in the lobby. And of course when we go into
the lobby, the first thing I think if I see
confused people is what sweet?

Speaker 2 (02:01:06):
Too sweet? Sweet two hundred?

Speaker 4 (02:01:08):
Yes, confusion hundred and most people who are confused in
the lobby, it is sweet two hundred most definitely Sweet
two hundred is a mystery, it really is. It's uh,
it's an interesting place. I've actually walked by and looked
in and it's a.

Speaker 2 (02:01:24):
Lot going on in there. Man, what happened? There's a
lot going on in there.

Speaker 5 (02:01:29):
I had somebody knocking on our door to get into
our area thinking it was sweet too hundred?

Speaker 2 (02:01:34):
Really did you say come on in.

Speaker 17 (02:01:38):
On it?

Speaker 2 (02:01:38):
But you know what that means, look, it's not two hundred.

Speaker 4 (02:01:41):
No, But I walked them up. Yeah, I finished up.
We finished up the Wednesday Bible study. Yesterday I had,
of course text Greg and let them know that Donde
didn't come. And and so I know Don's not coming.
He's head. He's got a kidney stone and backshirt. But
kidney stone too. Oh yeah, you would know a few
wore weeks to updates you on that. So anyway, we

(02:02:03):
thought closing him back. I's got a kidneys. So we're walking.
I walk out and I see this, you know, wonderful
little family. And for the first thing I think is
sweet two hundred. I mean, they look at you, go, no,
what are you talking about? So I said, uh, which
I always do, let me get sweet two hundred. Uh,
And they said no. And then the mom said, looks
to the little boy and says, I think that's Rick,

(02:02:25):
and then uh, and then I think it is Beard. Yeah,
that's better that I'm thinking to this, And I said, well, hello, yes,
nice to meet you, and uh. And then and then
you know, and the dad said, well, this is uh,
this is more than we bargained for. And I'm like,
what do you mean? He said, well, we're in town.
They're from another town, probably an hour and a half away.
And they said, we came to a doctor here in

(02:02:47):
uh in Birmingham.

Speaker 2 (02:02:48):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:02:48):
And I and our son asked if we could find
the Rick Burgess show. Wow and so and so they said, hey,
try and Dad said, well, we know where it is.
We'll go over and say what we can see. I
don't know what you can see.

Speaker 8 (02:02:59):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (02:03:00):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:03:00):
So they apparently tried that window. Then you know, they
saw the curtains and because I saw him look at
you and say, hey, we're.

Speaker 2 (02:03:04):
Right, that is the window.

Speaker 9 (02:03:06):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:03:06):
And then they they they saw the vaux Seat sign
on the door. Good job dad finding that.

Speaker 11 (02:03:13):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:03:13):
And then they were in the lobby and so I said, well,
I said you you love these moments with kids. I said,
how would you like to actually go in the studio
And he was like big eyes, Oh, he just and whatever.
So we we got to walk him in here and
he he spun the wheel. He shot a little Birgess ball.
Took a little longer to hit one because I knew
you weren't gonna stop too he did. He was, yeah,

(02:03:36):
he was why you think a six something like that
probably somewhere in there. Uh and yeah, so great, great
family and uh even.

Speaker 2 (02:03:45):
If they had fun, they spinned the wheel. He spun
the wheel by the way. Five dollars.

Speaker 4 (02:03:50):
He wanted he won a book, and I told him
that I didn't. I didn't think he was ready. Yeah, no,
and I said no he but anyway, he he got
over behind the setting the seat set in the one
seat with headphone.

Speaker 2 (02:04:00):
Did he really?

Speaker 4 (02:04:00):
Of course, you know, poor kid, I forgot my headphones
weren't turned down.

Speaker 2 (02:04:03):
Oh he fell out of God, love his little God,
love his little ears. Crime and I got a ringing sound, mommy.

Speaker 5 (02:04:12):
Yeah, and so so that was cool, and that is
that's all talking about. But it is always interesting when
you go to the lobby. Do I engage or not engage?
And sometimes I make myself walk by because I have
egg on my shoulder, going don't don't look at them,
don't look at it, just walk by them. Yeah, And
so then I do that. But then if they're still there,

(02:04:33):
sometimes you're.

Speaker 4 (02:04:35):
Going, I've become like it's almost like you know how
people putting notches and you know, and for things that
I got another one you hat in the war, you know,
he took out another one or whatever I'm getting now
where I'm getting, I'm getting some sort of thrill out
of out of helping people find Sweet two hundred.

Speaker 2 (02:04:50):
I don't know why thrill.

Speaker 4 (02:04:51):
I've become like the Sweet two hundred ambassador. I'm really
overdoing it. Yeah, I'm becoming a little bit treaty.

Speaker 2 (02:04:57):
You're not, you have I don't know, yeh something that
comes to Sweet two hundred. You remember the family you
turned away? I do? Yeah, Well, I thought you would
be all man by the way. That was terrible, and
I did this. I was nice and speeding, but I
thought if I brought him in when they left, did
you just bring the people in there? Speedy?

Speaker 8 (02:05:16):
We don't do you do?

Speaker 2 (02:05:19):
Speedy?

Speaker 4 (02:05:20):
And Greg had already left because you know, they don't
prioritize Bible studying, and.

Speaker 2 (02:05:24):
So we lost it right like here in the word.

Speaker 4 (02:05:29):
So anyway, the.

Speaker 2 (02:05:32):
Called podcast listen. You can get home a lot earlier
if I don't stay live, but I can't listen to
on the way in the next day? What speed?

Speaker 4 (02:05:40):
You got a routine? Not sure about speed?

Speaker 9 (02:05:42):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (02:05:42):
Hey, why am I target today? That doesn't miss it?

Speaker 4 (02:05:44):
He doesn't miss it, he doesn't he'll even go way
in the next morning. He'll even let Adler and I
know if we had a technical problem. Yeah, oh really,
sometimes I supposed to report it.

Speaker 2 (02:05:55):
Well, I like to know you, okay, you know, maybe
maybe some feet by one behind.

Speaker 12 (02:05:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:06:00):
So anyway, so I go, So I go by Speedy,
by Speedy's office, I go by Greg's office and look,
it's like the little boy expected. I said that Greg's
in there. We don't bother him. He's drinking's man, Well,
are you behind baby brother? I mean behind her? Three?

Speaker 11 (02:06:20):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:06:21):
No, no, I think it's two. I know because I know,
because I know here it is.

Speaker 5 (02:06:29):
I'll tell you because last week when when we left him,
my routine was off, and when we left went to
Dallas and traveling over I'm too last Wednesday, this Wednesday.
So there, Greg, mister buddy, are you glad that Jesus
didn't let his routine throw him off and was going
to the cross.

Speaker 2 (02:06:46):
And this is how you almost killed Scott Dawson. But
I forget that. Okay, he doing this whole thing. What
would you you think Jesus tired when I was funny?
This funny is so brutaling. Here's one of the guys
last week when SEC Baseball tournam was going on. He goes,
he goes, hey, man, not gonna be there day, gonna
watch a little baseball. And I said, I'm sure thankful
Jesus didn't watch a little baseball when we needed him

(02:07:08):
go across. So he came back. He came back. He
just walks over. He goes, I knew that was good.

Speaker 4 (02:07:15):
He said, well it's good.

Speaker 2 (02:07:18):
It was a good game.

Speaker 4 (02:07:19):
And he goes, that's what happened. He said, well we lost?
Said where there you go?

Speaker 2 (02:07:22):
Uh? All right, Greg, I know you wanted this news today.
Todd and Julie Christley they're free. They are free. I
don't understand this Christly thing. Why are we releasing them?

Speaker 8 (02:07:30):
Rick?

Speaker 2 (02:07:31):
Some reason, Todd wanted to stay there?

Speaker 1 (02:07:35):
Can I stay?

Speaker 2 (02:07:38):
He came out a little jack? Uh did he been
working out a little bit?

Speaker 10 (02:07:42):
Now?

Speaker 5 (02:07:43):
This this is the highest profile of the pardons. But
they there was a number.

Speaker 2 (02:07:48):
They find him not guilty.

Speaker 4 (02:07:49):
I don't know what you had. Don't understand when did
we say the Christlies were wrong?

Speaker 2 (02:07:54):
I know they had a rogue kid who was a
drug You right, yeah, but he just turned his dad
in for claiming lived in one state and live great, Yeah,
well that's a big yeah. But he really was doing it.

Speaker 4 (02:08:05):
I think that's my point that did the drug addict
son reveal? Yeah, reveal anything they weren't doing? I don't know,
because how long did they stay if they if they
broke the law? Are we just saying you broke the law.

Speaker 2 (02:08:15):
But that's enough. The mom got released and then they
threw it back in another judge or somebody come and said, oh,
now they did it. Yeah, they took your hand out.

Speaker 5 (02:08:25):
How many years was it did they serve two and
a half? Was it two and a half something like
that or a ten or.

Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
Twelve or something. They're gonna pick the show back up.

Speaker 4 (02:08:31):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:08:32):
Did you ever watch the show? I never watched the show.
I would get caught like me and Speaker saying just
flipping by, and they'd be an episode and on and
I would stay on it. It was a good show.

Speaker 4 (02:08:41):
Well I get again.

Speaker 2 (02:08:42):
Maybe I'm wrong.

Speaker 4 (02:08:43):
Sorry, I'm willing funny, I'm willing to say that I'm wrong.
You know, sometimes when you see like a Trump or
somebody parton somebody, you're.

Speaker 2 (02:08:51):
Like, yeah, that's right, that finally that in justice was over?
Was what finally got justice for them, good for them.

Speaker 4 (02:08:59):
I don't I don't know what to say about this.

Speaker 2 (02:09:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:09:01):
Am I supposed to be celebrating the release of the Chrystal.

Speaker 2 (02:09:05):
Does this fall under? Look? I was kind of like them,
and they've always supported me. And I'm letting you out
because made the crime they did was not violent, right,
It's I don't know where I am on this. I
don't know what to do with it. I don't need it.

Speaker 4 (02:09:16):
I mean, it's a headline and I'm supposed to go
good bun the Chrystlies.

Speaker 2 (02:09:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:09:20):
I don't know a thing about the Chrystlies.

Speaker 2 (02:09:22):
And like I said, they appealed it and kept losing.
But I don't know. I bet you'll Trump was just
a fan of the show.

Speaker 9 (02:09:29):
He knows their cultural figures, just like he pardoned or
helped out that ASoP rocky rapper guy.

Speaker 2 (02:09:34):
He just does it for the culture. You know. Unscreened

just a ployed for him to come to the official
George Strait looking like invention.

Speaker 4 (02:13:45):

Speaker 4 (02:14:54):
The German version or English version?

Speaker 2 (02:14:55):

Speaker 7 (02:16:00):
What are your thoughts of the chrystally is getting out?

Speaker 2 (02:16:05):
You know, I don't know how to I don't.

Speaker 4 (02:16:07):
I don't care really honestly, But there's people on the
text nations say the whole premise was yes they were guilty,
Yes they were punished, but the sentence was an over punishment.
And Trump thinks they served enough time, they've paid their debt.
Yeah that that that's what this is all about. But honestly,
I couldn't care less what happened with the Chrystlies. I mean,
I hate to say that, I really don't care. Rick,

(02:16:28):
I don't. Rick Burders Show, unscreen phone calls, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (02:16:36):
Yeah, I've been away for a few days.

Speaker 11 (02:16:37):

the Dallas Cars.

Speaker 2 (02:16:41):
Yes, how did the stars by going to a game?
You are something? You're not a fan. I'm sure in that.
I'm sure in the stands there were lots of people.

Speaker 4 (02:16:53):
If your son had gone by himself without you there, then.

Speaker 2 (02:16:58):
This one. Yeah, you look at this. It's a disastrous
that you went.

Speaker 5 (02:17:02):
They Maybe I should go for Edmonton tonight. There you
Rick birders show unscreen phone calls play for them.

Speaker 8 (02:17:11):
Hello, oh Larry, how you gotta do it?

Speaker 2 (02:17:18):
We're doing good, Lair. How are you doing right now?

Speaker 7 (02:17:23):
Like every day?

Speaker 2 (02:17:24):
What do you mean you're itching? What?

Speaker 6 (02:17:27):
What the thing is?

Speaker 8 (02:17:31):
Just hearing and the itching rew bad?

Speaker 4 (02:17:33):
Oh, it's TM. There's a whole new visual when you
think of back. There's books on its way.

Speaker 2 (02:17:41):
Put any lotion or any any like ointment on it,
but none is there our there. That's great again. I
saw something over the weekend that Larry I thought that
that y'all didn't have a computer because they posted I'm
about does anybody listen to the Rick Burgess show? It

(02:18:02):
was something they posted, yeah, because the letters were misspelled.

Speaker 4 (02:18:12):
I mean, you're glad to do better than you're itching,
but I'm sorry you're itching.

Speaker 2 (02:18:16):
I thought he didn't have anything. Yeah, I'm with you.
I didn't think that in the chat room and he's
making up. Yeah, we'll be right back. Stay use.

Speaker 1 (02:18:26):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. It's like eating lunch
at the cool table, The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (02:18:45):
Thank you for being with us, America. We're having a blast.
Glad you're with us. So much to do and we've
covered a lot. If you missed it, go back and
catch those archives every day on the YouTube channel or
the podcast channel. All right, a couple of things. First
of all, from the text nation there on top of
it all, this may require a little bit of addler help. Greg.

Speaker 4 (02:19:07):
Someone is saying that Larry is probably using his phone
for Internet. I just used my phone for YouTube and Facebook.
What does that mean? Do you mean you don't have
to have internet? That you mean using cell service?

Speaker 2 (02:19:22):
Is that what they mean? What does that mean you
can use the internet for your for your phone service.

Speaker 4 (02:19:27):
Well, what I'm saying is they're saying Greg said Larry
told us they didn't have the internet.

Speaker 2 (02:19:32):
Didn't he say that? One he jokes around? I think
chats on YouTube? I know chats. Can you chat cow
one time? Can you chat on YouTube without the Internet.

Speaker 4 (02:19:45):
That would be if you had yourself. So just you
sell service that this guy's talking about. He says, this
guy says he didn't have the Internet, but he does
Facebook and YouTube just.

Speaker 2 (02:19:53):
With his PHONETA. Be careful. This is one text. What's
text nation? Well, I don't know what they're talking about. Okay,
I ain't got a clue.

Speaker 4 (02:20:00):
That's why that's help.

Speaker 2 (02:20:02):
I think it's a great guess though.

Speaker 10 (02:20:03):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (02:20:03):
And I do think because it was all about the
the h Gary and Larry was it Turkey Catch or
whatever the podcast and when we were trying to explore ideas,
and that's when he said I don't have internet.

Speaker 9 (02:20:17):
He also said he was hunting bears in your last
good point.

Speaker 4 (02:20:20):
You're saying that Larry, that will will stretch the truth.

Speaker 2 (02:20:23):
But I do think it's crotches just trying to be
I didn't want to. I think he's telling the truth
about that.

Speaker 4 (02:20:28):
I don't know about that. I'm questioning the blistering. Did
anybody want to know that he was itching?

Speaker 2 (02:20:32):
I didn't. I don't want to have individual that makes healing.

Speaker 4 (02:20:35):
Greg. How much coffee if you drink about four cups?
Because you were you were you have you were making
that run to the restroom.

Speaker 2 (02:20:41):
Yeah, I drink. I was really sleepy this morning, but
we didn't. They really didn't affect me. And it's weird
how sometimes but you don't keep me in it. Don't
even feeling better.

Speaker 5 (02:20:50):
Get around the same amount of sleep, but yet one
morning you're tired.

Speaker 2 (02:20:53):
Yeah, you know what you're going Wow.

Speaker 9 (02:20:55):
Itching during wound healing is a normal response because I,
I mean, we've all felt it the.

Speaker 2 (02:21:00):
Same wound healing was Oh my gosh.

Speaker 9 (02:21:02):
Itching, Yes, yeah, it's the body releases inflammatory proteins and histamine,
which can obviously cause itching.

Speaker 4 (02:21:09):
Well think about this. So you ever been sunburned?

Speaker 2 (02:21:11):
I bet you have?

Speaker 4 (02:21:12):
Oh have you got you got sun burned at the burg?

Speaker 14 (02:21:17):
I did.

Speaker 9 (02:21:17):
I got so burned at so when I put talow
on it, which you guys made fun of, and I
did not peel a bit.

Speaker 4 (02:21:24):
But if you've ever if you've ever started peeling, have
you ever had it itch?

Speaker 18 (02:21:27):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (02:21:28):
Yeah, that's well, that's what's happened with Larry.

Speaker 2 (02:21:30):
Especially if you burn like you're even great.

Speaker 4 (02:21:36):
I think he's making that up, Larry.

Speaker 2 (02:21:39):
That's that's Greg, not us. We love you, Larry. I
don't No, you don't love him. Taking Greg and let
him get out from under that. Yeah, gre let's be honest.
You're saying you love Larry's a stretch. That's a stretch.
You like Larry. That's a good point. You don't even

(02:22:00):
don't know well enough to love him. I say this,
I love what he brings to the show. There you Okay,
that's that's what I meant. Look at you. You know
I do love Carroll.

Speaker 4 (02:22:11):
By the way, since we did talk to Larry, okay,
but since we did talk to Larry, the Rick Burgess
Show patch and challenge coin is real.

Speaker 2 (02:22:20):
It's happening.

Speaker 4 (02:22:21):
It's happening. I'm approving artwork here.

Speaker 2 (02:22:24):
Here's what we need to do.

Speaker 4 (02:22:26):
And I know I'm stepping and depending on your son.

Speaker 5 (02:22:29):
When we get the patch and the challenge coin, just
give it to me and I will I will drive
to Dublin, Georgia and hand delivery and hand delivery, litill
send me a zoom link and I'm walking in and
we're live.

Speaker 2 (02:22:46):
No, Dublin's not. Maybe we can see if he can.
You know, South Georgia. How far do you think Dublin,
Georgia is from where we are right now? Probably five
and a half. Okay, problem you do know that?

Speaker 11 (02:22:57):
Then?

Speaker 2 (02:22:57):
Yeah, I don't know. Probably through there it's around five
four and a half. Great playing five great claim he
would go with me, but but half the show can't.
I would love to go. We honestly, if if you
want to go, I'll stay. I got it. Maybe we
could like crad I was just kidding. Yeah, I guess

(02:23:17):
that's fine.

Speaker 5 (02:23:18):
What if what if I had like, come come live
to y'all and and I hope he has internet, but
uh and and we're zoom and live and he's like,
I think, I think, Or we could.

Speaker 2 (02:23:29):
Do it on a weekend.

Speaker 9 (02:23:31):
We could do it on a weekend. We could catch
like a metal show in Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (02:23:34):
Yeah, how about that?

Speaker 4 (02:23:36):
You in this metal show.

Speaker 2 (02:23:38):
Cannibal Corp.

Speaker 1 (02:23:38):
Explain Cannible corpse.

Speaker 2 (02:23:44):
How about this?

Speaker 4 (02:23:45):
I wish the patch and and the challenge coin were
already ready, so Speedy could also get us some footage
of the itching.

Speaker 21 (02:23:53):
Right right right, I can't read, no, Carolyn, I got it.
The only thing great, the only thing that everybody stopping.

Speaker 2 (02:24:07):
He tallow works though you got to rub it in good,
but it works.

Speaker 4 (02:24:10):
I lot to go on record because there's a promo
running right now, completely tangent off off the I don't
feel good about this.

Speaker 2 (02:24:16):
On four, what I think we need to leave with Dynasty.

Speaker 4 (02:24:20):
New show Duck Dynasty, revisiting Duck Dynasty and rebooting it.

Speaker 2 (02:24:23):
On an I just don't know it one time? Is
it a series? You can't snag life being in a
bottle every time? Series it's this revival is a series.

Speaker 4 (02:24:33):
There's a lot of young, hip looking I don't feel
good about there. I don't I don't know if I
really want to watch the Young Robertsons.

Speaker 9 (02:24:39):
By the way, it's premieres in three days. How are
they going to handle the passing of Phil? Surely they
haven't had a chance to film and edit that.

Speaker 4 (02:24:49):
Yeah right, yeah, you know what though probably in those
things where there will be a still shot come up
up of him at the end, you know, you know
the femine so far go like andoun sisters it was
it was at Halloween like two weeks going in. It
always comes back to thousand pounds, sisters. You bring up
a reality show, We're going to visit thousand pounds.

Speaker 2 (02:25:06):
Yeah, I mean in a second, Yeah, they just now
celebrated Halloween on end. Okay, Greg, thanks for the update
on that award winning series. Wow, ten episodes coming up.

Speaker 4 (02:25:18):
I don't know how I feel about it.

Speaker 2 (02:25:19):
I mean, it's now through August. Feel was the show?

Speaker 4 (02:25:23):
I mean, I like them as people, and I love
the work they do, and I love what they stand on.
But I'm just worried that we're going to try to
that it's not going to be as good as the original.
Well we need to go in not thinking that, ye,
but just go take it for what it is.

Speaker 2 (02:25:40):
I give it a look. I wonder how.

Speaker 4 (02:25:42):
Funny would it be if Speedy went to see Larry
and he gets there and we've heard about all this
itching and whatever, and come to find out that Larry's
house has bad bugs and Speedy gets them.

Speaker 2 (02:25:54):
Just y'all, he just built coffee. And are you going
to drive there and stay with them over the night.
I'm not staying at Larry's. They said you're welcome to
stay the night. I'm sure there's hotels around you stay
the night.

Speaker 4 (02:26:07):
No, you're staying there with the cats.

Speaker 2 (02:26:10):
You're surrounded by patches. Let a little flow. He pulls
me around the sledge. I'm like, you gotta stay with them.
The deal.

Speaker 4 (02:26:26):
I've got to have a video of you snuggling down
for the night, because whatever room you're in there's patches everywhere.
I want you finding a bed in the middle of
all these patch displays, and I want you laying down
with past displays.

Speaker 2 (02:26:39):
All around that. And the next morning you come out
of a deep sleeping for a second you forgot where
you were, and then you God, this was in your
video of him, Like, read me a bedtime story. I

(02:27:00):
made waffles like patches.

Speaker 4 (02:27:03):
Okay, level, Larry, that would be a Larry.

Speaker 2 (02:27:07):
No, that's great. I tell you one thing. If in
love again, sound like, don't you know people out there
right now going gosh? I hope they never like me.
I know that we'll considering we like him? See hotels
is we don't even treat each other well, No, listen,
made Larry call and leave a message on his own

(02:27:29):
as Adler has how his life is being like and
our friends are here hard Dublin, Georgia. That's a long way.
I almost say it's five hours before he said that.
I just wait, man, I'm thinking here there's a holiday
and express that's oh, he's in Rotes Hotels in or
around Dublin, Georgia.

Speaker 5 (02:27:46):
See there it is, So I'm good. I go over
the night before, spend the night, wake up, and then
and then we have a meeting time.

Speaker 2 (02:27:57):
When we come back.

Speaker 4 (02:27:58):
Let's talk about something that we know less about than
Larry's Internet. Anybody understand bitcoin? I have no idea with that.
Understands it?

Speaker 2 (02:28:10):
He don't. He'll talk down to it.

Speaker 5 (02:28:12):
I'm gonna take Terry on the Dublin trip because we
had had an anniversary trip yet.

Speaker 2 (02:28:17):
Okay, that's a great idea. That's a good idea. That's
a great idea. It'll be thrilled.

Speaker 1 (02:28:22):
This is the Rick Burgess show.

Speaker 10 (02:28:32):
Me.

Speaker 1 (02:28:33):
In order to truly benefit from this show, you must
have a sense of humor. So like enough Francis and
enjoy the Rick Burgis Show.

Speaker 2 (02:28:43):
Fighting up Francis. Wow, Text Nation has just figured something out.

Speaker 4 (02:28:48):
I'll tell you. They said. I can't believe they're hearing this.
This is Speedy attempting to expense his anniversary trips around.
I'm just going on work. Here's all my expense, a
big box entertainment. Here's all my expenses.

Speaker 5 (02:29:02):
Yeah, maybe we could leave out on a Friday, go
maybe go over to Atlanta Saturday, most of Sunday and
then Terry and I will make our way down to Dublin.

Speaker 2 (02:29:11):
We had on bag be great run down to the
Savanah why you know South Oh yeah, maybe even go there.

Speaker 4 (02:29:16):
You're trying to expense the university.

Speaker 2 (02:29:18):
I wouldn't do that, my goodness, I wouldn't do nice
catch text nations. I wouldn't do that.

Speaker 5 (02:29:23):
I can't wait to see old are Does everybody understand crypto?

Speaker 2 (02:29:27):
I don't. Bit coined e gives me a headache.

Speaker 4 (02:29:31):
I have a daughter in law that actually works in
this industry, and she'll sit and talk about it and
I don't know what she's talking about.

Speaker 2 (02:29:37):
And I've tried to grasp it. Yeah, it got people mining.

Speaker 5 (02:29:42):
That it's mad because he's told us this about thousand times.

Speaker 4 (02:29:45):
It's very very hard. Well listen, it has spawned. I mean,
there's some weirdos in all this man, which is one
of the things that So here's a story. We're about
to watch it and listen to it.

Speaker 2 (02:29:58):
What do you'll have? What questions y'all have about bitcoin? What?

Speaker 11 (02:30:02):
What do you have?

Speaker 2 (02:30:02):
Who is it? Kid? Who's who's the creator of it?
Nobody knows? What did you just say?

Speaker 9 (02:30:10):
Satoshi knocking Yoma noo or whatever his name is, uh
Sitoshi is the person that created it, that started it out.
Some people think it's a group of people. Some people
think it's just one guy.

Speaker 13 (02:30:23):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (02:30:23):
There have been a lot of people who have been
kind of claimed to be him. Some people think it
could even be like somebody and it could be the
intelligence community that's actually created this.

Speaker 2 (02:30:33):
So there's a lot of guesses as to it.

Speaker 9 (02:30:35):
It doesn't help the credibility of bitcoin having this weird
shadowy creator originator.

Speaker 2 (02:30:44):
This story right here's not gonna help. This story is
on The story's not gonna help.

Speaker 4 (02:30:48):
No, that's what I was gonna say. It feels like
it's kind of a dark little world, right uh we
Here's a story where a crypto trader allegedly tortured de
mand what in his home an attempt to his bitcoin.
Can you steal bitcoin?

Speaker 2 (02:31:02):
You can if you get it transferred in the right way.
So he's trying to torture him, so he'll transfer it. Yeah,
ye right, yes, yesh okay.

Speaker 9 (02:31:09):
And depending on what kind of wallet you have, a
lot of times you just have like a pass code
or a pass phrase, and once you have access to that,
you can move the bitcoin anywhere. And once bitcoin is moved,
it's gone.

Speaker 2 (02:31:20):
It is gone.

Speaker 9 (02:31:20):
That's why these scammers are trying to get you to
pay in bitcoin, like with the jury duty scam, they
try to get me to that go to that bitcoin kiosk,
because once it's gone, it's gone.

Speaker 2 (02:31:29):
You can't track it.

Speaker 9 (02:31:30):
They can move it from a couple of different anonymous
wallets and it's gone forever. And that's why bitcoin is
used in a lot of nefarious transactions as well, and that's.

Speaker 2 (02:31:41):
A unfortunate And then this is this is what my
daughter in law is.

Speaker 4 (02:31:47):
What she does is to try to police that whole
world and to keep these things from falling into the
wrong hands, the wrong even like nations that would use
it to find their evil stuff.

Speaker 17 (02:32:00):
Absolutely, Yeah, money laundering any sure, dark web purchas, Yeah,
there's a lot of darkness to it.

Speaker 4 (02:32:05):
This ain't gonna help now. So here's the story.

Speaker 19 (02:32:08):
For the first time, we're seeing the dramatic end to
a harrowing ordeal and escape from a six story luxury
townhouse turned alleged torture chamber and SOHO surveillance video shows
the moment a disheveled man, barefoot and bleeding, approaches an
NYPD traffic officer pleading for help. The man, an Italian tourist,
wore only shorts, a polo shirt, and clutched a Fannie

(02:32:32):
pack in his hand. Police quickly converged some townhouse, arresting
John Woltz, a prominent name in the crypto world. According
to law enforcement sources, Waltz and a business associate are
accused of imprisoning and torturing their third business partner, a
twenty eight year old Italian citizen who had just arrived
in New York earlier this month. Investigators say the two

(02:32:52):
men took his passport and electronic devices, then demanded the password.

Speaker 1 (02:32:57):
To his Bitcoin account.

Speaker 19 (02:32:59):
When he re fuse, police say they beat him with
a pistol, held a gun to his head, used a
chainsaw on his leg you're in it in, drugged him,
shocked him with live wires, and even dangled him off
the building. When the victim finally escaped, he ran to
a nearby officer, covered and cut some bruises. Sources say

(02:33:19):
officers were covered a gun inside the lavish townhouse, which
they described as a quote high end frat house complete
with an elevator, stripper poles.

Speaker 2 (02:33:29):
Okay, well anyways, So.

Speaker 9 (02:33:35):
Anyway, so uh yeah, that that doesn't help. It doesn't
help all these these at these you know, bitcoin crypto conferences,
they're like, we're the future of currency, We're legitimate. The
institutions are buying in. Stories like this don't help.

Speaker 2 (02:33:55):
Where are you on bitcoin? Well? And because you have some,
don't you? I do a tiny, tiny bit. I knew
it a tiny bit. You know, you got to diversify.
Kidnap you hope nobody kidnaps me.

Speaker 4 (02:34:07):
If I kidnapped you and tortured you, Do you have
enough that it would matter?

Speaker 2 (02:34:10):
No, No, you're not paying your own bail with what
I've what I've got in that coin.

Speaker 9 (02:34:15):
But yeah, some people think it is a scam and
a pyramid scheme, and it's used for just purchasing things
on the dark web, and some people think it's the
future of currency.

Speaker 2 (02:34:26):
Y'all.

Speaker 9 (02:34:26):
Remember I was talking about it a lot a few years.
If you had bought Born Forgotten at that time, if
you had bought bitcoin at that time, you would have
beat inflation, You would have beaten the stock market that
you would have beaten S and p h.

Speaker 2 (02:34:41):
You would have three times your money. If you had
bought at the time.

Speaker 4 (02:34:45):
And can I turn it into cash?

Speaker 8 (02:34:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (02:34:48):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, there's a lot of places, a
lot more places are starting to take bitcoin. They don't
have a bitcoin account, yes, yeah, and so in that
big coin account now here.

Speaker 2 (02:35:01):
It goes stupid question time.

Speaker 5 (02:35:03):
I'm sorry, Fine, I have like a checking account, like
a savings account at a bank. Yes, and I have
a certain amount of I guess uh coins in this
bitcoin account right and then, and so I buy and
sell with that account. Yeah, but is there real you
is there real money tied behind that? I mean, like,

(02:35:25):
how do you buy big? Like when we started out,
we got away from which was a huge mistake. We
had a gold standard. You couldn't have more cash than
we had gold. We don't do that anymore, which is
not good.

Speaker 2 (02:35:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:35:36):
What what is bitcoin's foundation?

Speaker 9 (02:35:40):
Bitcoin's foundation is the fact that there will only be
a limited amount of it made of bitcoins. A collectible
like a sure call it a collectible, call it whatever
you want, but consider it just like right now, you're
dealing in dollars, but you could deal in pesos.

Speaker 2 (02:35:57):
If you wanted to.

Speaker 9 (02:35:58):
It's just another form of currency. As far as how
your mind works with it.

Speaker 4 (02:36:04):
It's my exchange rate. It says, how much is one coin?

Speaker 9 (02:36:07):
One bitcoin right now is one hundred and seven thousand
dollars one hundred k, just one one hundred k for
a bitcoin.

Speaker 2 (02:36:15):
Yeah, if you.

Speaker 9 (02:36:16):
Look at the life of it, it started in twenty sixteen,
is what this graph has.

Speaker 2 (02:36:22):
It was even before that.

Speaker 9 (02:36:23):
But I mean at one point you could buy you
could buy one bitcoin for just a few cents. Like
the value of it has gone nuts. In fact, there's
a famous story in which and people tweet or post
about this all the time and they'll be like, on
this date, this guy in twenty yeah, bought he bought
a pizza for at the exchange rate at that time

(02:36:47):
was like forty bitcoin, So he bought a pizza with
forty bitcoin. That is, you know, one point two billion
dollars today.

Speaker 2 (02:36:56):
You see what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (02:36:58):
So with so many of these crypto currencies, if you
get in early, uh, you have the potential to make
tons and tons of money. If you get in late,
you have potential to lose all your money. You can
see here on this graph it goes up and down
quite a bit.

Speaker 2 (02:37:12):
So somebody in text nation is this accurate. It's really
just like being on the stock market.

Speaker 10 (02:37:16):
Right.

Speaker 4 (02:37:16):
It is like I've invested in a company. I'm invested
in bitcoin.

Speaker 2 (02:37:20):
I've bought euros instead of dollars. Yes, I got you.
And more people are taking it. One coin's over one
hundred grand.

Speaker 9 (02:37:28):
Uh huh yeah, but you can it's it can be
broken up into what it's called, like what would you
call dollars and pennies and things like that.

Speaker 2 (02:37:35):
Okay, okay, but they're called SATs. Watch it s at
s Okay, so you can have SATs. Yeah, easy. Yeah.
Bitcoin is.

Speaker 9 (02:37:49):
As the institutions are starting to get in. You've got
these ETFs starting to buy in.

Speaker 2 (02:37:55):
Uh, you got people like Kevin O'Leary really really buying in.

Speaker 9 (02:38:00):
I think it's gotten the future, especially with the ways
we're printing money. You technically can't print bitcoin, but the
printing dollars like crazy scarcity to drive values.

Speaker 1 (02:38:11):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, America.

Speaker 6 (02:38:29):
Show.

Speaker 2 (02:38:35):
So here we go, brand new hour. Thanks for being
with us, America. Are you ready to buggle up godcasting
from the real world? All right, so our numbers eight
eight eight, the number six big e VOTs. Well may
be able to get to that before we're done. You

(02:38:57):
can text that same number eight eight eight six two
four four eight six'. Nine all, right so as we
start the, hour, Speedy greg And adler here add their
one final question on, bitcoin AND i promise we'll leave this.

Speaker 4 (02:39:09):
Topic somebody says they can ever get this question. ANSWERED
i have one, bitcoin it's worth one hundred and seven thousand.
Dollars where DO i go to get my one hundred
and seven thousand dollars?

Speaker 2 (02:39:20):
On wherever you bought, it wherever wallet you're holding.

Speaker 9 (02:39:23):
It there's all kinds of different apps or, wallets whatever
you want to call. It but there is like quote
unquote true believers that, say never get rid of, it
just hold on to.

Speaker 2 (02:39:34):
It it will keep.

Speaker 9 (02:39:35):
Growing eventually bitcoin will be the currency we're all using
in the global currency and the instant potentially, anonymous decentralized
currency of the. Future and then some people are, like,
no it's a.

Speaker 2 (02:39:47):
Scam, okay thank You Edwar. Wow so when you say,
wallet is that a version of a? Bank? Yeah like
when you say and wherever your wallet, is is it
Like apple? Wallet it's Like Apple consider it Like apple.

Speaker 9 (02:40:01):
Wallet but with bitcoin you can actually just with a
code on a say like a, thumb.

Speaker 2 (02:40:10):
Way is it like an. Apple good. Answer some poets
been reading the book we sent.

Speaker 9 (02:40:18):
Home you can totally remove your bitcoin from any global
network and have it literally on A usb. Stick you can,
have you can, have you can have a billion dollars
on A usb stick and hold that. Information you lose that,
stick it's gone somebody. Else somebody threw through like a

(02:40:40):
hard drive away that had bitcoin on, it and there
could be a billion dollars in a landfill, somewhere and
they KEEP i forget what country or whatever it. Is
he keeps trying to get permission to search this this
uh this uh whatever that's called.

Speaker 2 (02:40:53):
Landfill thank you you said it. Once and he's like
asking people to help. Him I'll i'll split it with,
you all this.

Speaker 9 (02:41:00):
Stuff so it's a weird. World it's a crazy, world
lots of crazy. STORIES a lot of people have made
a lot of money and a lot of people have lost.

Speaker 2 (02:41:06):
A lot of money in the bitcoin and crypto.

Speaker 4 (02:41:08):
World greg just sit there and didn't even tell us
a story about his son paying for his college.

Speaker 2 (02:41:12):
With bitcoin Dog doji going To, yeah, yeah my first,
one got, in got, out paid for his. College please
paid for all of his? College? No, no just will finish.
It that's, correct finish. It, yeah, buddy why you look so?
MAD i got a, time got some pretty good story
sitting overall pe got a. TIME i brought that right.

Speaker 8 (02:41:32):
In what's so.

Speaker 9 (02:41:33):
Funny is that the doge coin preceded The department Of,
doze and it's kind of like the whole thing was a.
Joke all of it's just jokes turning into real.

Speaker 2 (02:41:43):
Life it's, crazy crazy, man it's, wild, Dude it's. Bonkers
here's what.

Speaker 4 (02:41:47):
We got to stop to. This this may be more
dangerous than.

Speaker 2 (02:41:50):

Speaker 4 (02:41:51):
Guys somebody's. Dead you know this thing we saw we

Speaker 5 (02:42:08):

Is New zealand got some big dudes and, looking we're
not going to see somebody.

Speaker 9 (02:42:16):
Die none of this footage has the person. Dying the
person that. Died this was not like a formal. Event
this was like an informal. Event, saying not like a
show or whatever we've seen.

Speaker 4 (02:42:28):
Somebody wouldn't people die at these events if you can
die playing it at, home it's the same, game, Right.

Speaker 8 (02:42:34):
This is not.

Speaker 4 (02:42:35):

(02:44:26):
to this day don't know why we did it or
why because at least this shouldn't have.

Speaker 2 (02:44:29):
Happened, well you go down to your what we call
your small. Groups what was it called then when you
go with you just your. Position there was a name
for it in small groups and that's church special.

Speaker 4 (02:44:44):
Team and individual. Drills was that an individual groups or something?
Something but, anyway you're just you're just with your. Position,
okay you're you're just with your position. Group well what

Speaker 2 (02:51:35):
FOUND i got to the cookie, Jump, greg do what
did you say?

Speaker 4 (02:51:39):
Here there's a little. Something they happened four times an.
Hour it's called a five minute commercial. Break and you're
eating to know about. THEM i, mean we've lost. You
you're gonna be AND i just don't let them know you.

Speaker 5 (02:51:50):
Have you got that cold tongue. Too you sound Like
biden trying to.

Speaker 2 (02:51:53):

Speaker 5 (02:51:55):
M, hmm, okay all, Right, wow this is the easiest
ANSWER i have when it comes to the TEXT i
get about being on the. Show WHENEVER i hear Here
bluebell has an ice cream drop on such and such.

Speaker 2 (02:52:07):
Days that. Good this is when we, YOU i, mean
we lose you AND i want that so.

Speaker 4 (02:52:13):
Bad, okay a couple of other, Things, greg we'll go
to break a couple of other things that we have
not that we have not hit.

Speaker 2 (02:52:20):
Today, hey don't we have some whipped cream back? There
some bro other weak put that on, it by the
way we. Do it's, cheese whiz. Whizz there's some whipped
cream back there.

Speaker 4 (02:52:31):
SOMEWHERE i guess it'd be a great, time since there's
ice cream in, here for me to hit two stories
in the health world.

Speaker 2 (02:52:36):
Today go, ahead please do the one about eating. Bread
that's all these putting that on. Me, NO i still eat.
BREAD i haven't done. Away we're? Bread is that all you?
Got you go to? Bread? No, yeah but you're.

Speaker 4 (02:52:49):
Right this just has to do with, sugar and you've got.
Sugar these bread people they have to you, know people
that aren't eating. Bread they're right up over the CrossFit people.
Exactly you know how you know someone's not eating bread
because they're going to tell you they're going to Times
scientists may have discovered why the pounds come back after losing.

Speaker 2 (02:53:04):
WEIGHT i got an idea you were turned back the
way you were living before you were this. ONE i,
NEED i need to even look at.

Speaker 10 (02:53:12):
This.

Speaker 4 (02:53:13):
Uh many factors lead to the frustrating cycle of weight
gaining weight, loss but the driving force may be fat
cells keeping a memory of. Obesity Now i've actually KNOW
i know, this That i've been taught this BECAUSE i
remember my. Body my body had decided that it loved
to eighty. Five, okay so no matter WHAT i would,

(02:53:35):
do it would take me back to to eighty.

Speaker 18 (02:53:37):
Five.

Speaker 4 (02:53:37):
Now, Yeah and so what you have to do is
you have to get to the point where your body
gets reset and says, NO i actually love two thirty.

Speaker 2 (02:53:45):
Or whatever, whatever whatever you. Do you know how you do? That,
No gregor actually takes more than that slow.

Speaker 4 (02:53:53):
Down they, said they, said those of us that tend
to be that struggle being a little bit of a,
fatty they say that fat.

Speaker 2 (02:54:01):
Cells that's not in the.

Speaker 4 (02:54:02):
Story, no That's i'm just trying to break it down
for us to.

Speaker 2 (02:54:05):
Understand.

Speaker 4 (02:54:05):
Uh it influences abnormal metabolic pathways in the body long
after pounds are, shed which make it go back and, say,
Well i'll tell you one. Thing as soon as you
as soon as we start, back and you get off this.
Dot i'm going right back to the. WAIGHT i was
hinted that. Way these fat that these evil little fat,
cells they evil a. Little what they're saying is you're

(02:54:26):
a fatty And i'm gonna keep you. Fatty that's my
interpretation of THE i like you being a, fatty, Right but,
no that was. True you had to and then what
you'll notice if you get it, reset even when you
put pounds on a little, bit it stays right around
the new. Weight but you got to get your body
to start. Loving, Yep, greg here's one for You type
two breakfast. Health this would not be, It this would

(02:54:48):
not be. It is this one because you remember we
talked about how the eggs good.

Speaker 2 (02:54:52):
Bad, yeah. Breakfast he gets the same type of press
one day it's the most important. Meal the next day
is the. Deavi that's.

Speaker 4 (02:54:57):
Right here's here's the one that they're that they're saying
and this is not. Good here's what may be hurting
your health and why we have a soaring rate of
type two. Diabetes the culprit orange. JUICE i like orange,
juice BUT i don't drink orange. Juice parades around like it's.
Healthy full of sugar and oranges or. Healthy you're, right

(02:55:21):
you're all over the story type two ice cream in your? Mouth,
Greg did you know that you're that you're in with
thirty seven million adults who have type two.

Speaker 2 (02:55:28):
Diabetes, well but LIKE i, SAY i don't AND i
like orange, juice BUT i don't drink.

Speaker 4 (02:55:32):
IT i love orange. JUICE i love it. JUICE i
usually now because of, This i've actually been told this. Already,
uh there's a there's some versions out there that're like
they'll they have a light, version almost like a diet soft,
drink a diet orange light orange. Juice, well if either
that or stopping, BREAD i don't need bread, anymore nobody.

(02:56:00):
CARES i, mean put the. Megaphone that ain't. That it's
just not an, announcement not that.

Speaker 5 (02:56:05):
Hard but it's weird because like my dad's hematologist says
that that having a little bit of orange juice after
you eat actually helps his.

Speaker 4 (02:56:12):
Blood, UH i, think, IRON i forget what it is
his deficiency it actually.

Speaker 2 (02:56:16):
Brings so it took all these years an orange, Juice.

Speaker 4 (02:56:20):
Greg and you know what this was a Research it
was actually done At brigham Youm. University oh, Boy and
they said that most of everybody believed orange juice was,
good but there was another revelation about it somewhere out In.

Speaker 2 (02:56:30):
Utah actually an angel told them that orange juice was.
Banned so so it's it's a new. Revelation uh, no
The i'm gonna get email on that. One but, anyway
we was just just a little lot harder. Fun hey
what great that ice cream? Is watch your orange?

Speaker 13 (02:56:49):

Speaker 2 (02:56:50):

it on the. Cone good, stuff don't not don't be
afraid to dip it into the chocolate if they offer. That,
yeah but IF i go get like right now what
you just, got which is what it should. Be If
