traveling yesterday and headed back headed back home. You know

much wickedness out there. People feel so unsafe now that
you really are putting yourself in danger if you go
on to the property of someone who doesn't know who

Virginia an eighteen year old playing ding dong ditch in
the middle of the night. The homeowner opened fire and

killed him because he was coming up.

there was three of them and homeowner is twenty seven.
He told investigators that he believed the teens were trying
to break into his home in the middle of the night.

Chase Butler has been arrested on charges of second degree murder,
malicious wounding, and the use of a firearm UH in
the commission of a felony in the death of Michael

with UH, the teenager, a juvenile, was treated and released.

The third party in all this was unharmed. But yeah,
they were. They said that they were trying to record

their door, messing with any entrance to the home in
the middle of the night.

People are are a little on edge now, and we'd
have to hear from law enforcement. But I'm assuming the
reason why the homeowner is being charged with all this
and is in jail with no bond is because one
of the juveniles stated that they had rang the doorbell
and were running from the residence when he and his
friend were shot at. So I'm assuming and I don't know,

but if they're running away, yeah, coming instead of coming towards,
is that why it was reckless to just start shooting
because they were running away.

Yeah, they knocked on your door and they're leaving. But
then again, I don't man, there's no winter in this,
it's no well you go to this. I don't know
the state of this twenty seven year old, And well,
we'll let all that work out. But let's now add
to the warning. Not only are people on edge, not
only should you not be going up to people's doors
in the middle of the night who don't know you

all that. Of course, you know you have these ring
cameras now they can be helpful. But if you see
people on your porch and they don't identify themselves or
they don't it's not someone you know, that's not going
to be that's not gonna make you less scared. But also,
I would say this now more than ever, you don't
know the level headedness of someone's home now that you're approaching. Right,

people are unpredictable. They're unpredictable on the outside of the
home and they're unpredictable on the inside right of the home.

There's just there's just no reason that the the the
today's environment in the state of people.

let's ask just don't do it. Let's add to this too.
This was a suburb of Washington, d C. Where crime

might not be, but you got to you got to

that was something all of our parents taught us, and
and it was true. I mean, I'm trying to think, why,
why in the world does anybody need to be out
beyond midnight? For what reason? Right? I'm sure the times

never anybody ever heard of a small group Bible study

that was after midnight. You know, maybe not lock in,
but at least they've locked you into the church, you know,
running around. You know, we would try to.

Be sharp and stay out all night and tell your
parents I'm spending night somewhere, and you really wouldn't. But
everybody else goes home and alsodden. You're there and there's
nothing to do, and now you got to sleep in
a car. It sounded better than it really was. We
were trying to be sharp with a kid. Yeah, I
always like to get my sleep.

I hated when when we would all be like spending
the night somewhere and everybody wanted to stay up all night.
I was never a fan of that. I always felt
miserable for a whole nother day. You're walking around feeling
all weird the next so weird, so weird. I've never
understood why that that's it desirable. So unfortunately it's led

to someone's death. And you know, death is always troubling
for obvious reasons, but when it's avoidable, that's when it
really bothers. Yeah, you're like, boy, that could have been avoided.
Were y'all more into ding dong ditching or rolling somebody's
house ding dong ditch? Really it was a lot of trouble.

It was we got to go get a toilet paper.
We're he throwing around a lot. The ning Don ditch
was we hit quick wear out. Yeah, that's true.

and yeah, I liked it. I will say some corny parts,
but it had the music was excellent.

Because of the music and the plight of him and
the band and marsh Day and the time being in

enjoy that. That movie.

If for some of you, you don't know Prince as
a kid in Minneapolis and he's got a tough family
life and all this kind of stuff. And the musician,
that's right, and he hit music kind of brought him
out of that. And it kind of downtown they all play, yeah,
details all of that. But at the time he was
listening to this the only artist and the first one

to ever have a top movie okay, an album and
a single, all all of the top of the charts
at the same time.

they're about to have Princess Purple Rain the musical.

It is going to debut a world premiere pre Broadway musical.

through November sixteenth at the State Theater there in Minneapolis,
and tickets are going on sale, and so that's it's

And I know how y'all are musicals and Rick and
I know you enjoy them at some some but could
we tamper with something here, especially when you're of course
that's a movie involved, so you can make a musical,

they just do musicals based on the artist's correct, you know, music,
and that's kind of weird. There's one with Billy Joel

I just read an article this morning there's one coming
out without Foreigner, and to kick it off, they're doing
a concert with Lou Grohnd back at lead vocal.
