Wow, I can't believe it.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, now about time. Also today he's back Andy Andrews. Yep.
So this means more opportunity for the wheel uh.
Speaker 7 (02:29):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
And Andy has it's been been about a month since
he's been here.
Speaker 8 (02:34):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
And he makes his way back on this first day.
If you're catching us live uh. And for you people
that live in the archive world, this show is being
done on October the first. So can you believe that?
Can you believe we're in October? No? H, here we
are in October.
Speaker 7 (02:49):
No.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Somebody got a birthday? Oh coming up? Little birthday? You're
coming up to after tomorrow. I'm alight. He read That's right?
You know what was you know what was strange? I
was talking with someone yesterday during you know this this
time that I'm in which is featuring many meetings, many
many meeting and meetings are not my best. You know,
they can, especially if they drag a little bit. Yeah,
(03:11):
but anyway, been a lot of meetings as we get
ready for twenty twenty six and beyond, Lord Willie. And
it was so strange because I was talking to someone
that is involved in all that, and they said, yeah,
of course my birthday coming up Friday. I said what,
And I said, your birthday is Friday. He said yeah.
I said, so is mine. He said, no, way, we
(03:33):
have exactly the same day. How about it. You'd be
surprised who it is to. So so anyway, that's yeah,
there we go. H. So we've got a We've got
a lot to do today. So I'm thinking about who
it is. Yeah, be true or b Yes, it's happening today.
So and you'll be be showing up. We look forward
to that. It means the will could be acting. Will
(03:54):
could be acting now a little cold lady, so, but
could could hot at any moment. Uh, we'll we'll talk,
we'll talk.
Speaker 9 (04:04):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Somebody did mention the government shut down, so it looks
like we're there there. The Congress is deadlocked on the
spending as a shack of course we've been here before,
we've done we've done this. All this is about is
just like we've seen in the past, hoping that the
political parties will shut it down and then they'll try
(04:25):
to blame the other party for doing it and hope
you're mad and we'll blame that party. Now, it's been dicey.
Sometimes people have tried it and thought they could cast
blame on one side and it ended up back on them.
And uh, I tell you the one I remember the
most about that. And of course Clinton was politically at
times brilliant as you remember that newke Gingridge they put together,
(04:45):
you know, balancing the budget and all this, and took
it to h to Clinton. Clinton vetoed it. The government
got shut down, and they blamed the Republicans. It's classical.
So so it's and got away with it.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
So sometimes the city administration sits in a little bit
of a more beneficial position. It's usually hard for Congress
to to to be effectively blame a citty administration for
for government shut down. But we'll see, they'll all try
to do it. So we'll see and they'll they'll they'll
both tell us that the other one is the problem.
(05:19):
And then you as an American, Yeah, we play this game. Yeah,
both sides.
Speaker 10 (05:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 11 (05:25):
So I will tell you this, and I'm not well,
you obviously you know where I lean, but I'm also
don't have blinders on where you know where you know
you always use to talk about your kid when they
played you. You have parent parent goggles on where they
don't do anything wrong. I don't have government goggles on
where the GOP does everything right.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
I'm not like that, but in this instant, no, I'm
being serious.
Speaker 11 (05:46):
I mean, I think we're all I think we're all
pretty I think we're all in line on that shoulder
to shoulder on pretty much all that. But the Democrats
turned down the short term spending bill that would go
to November twenty first because they want to continue this
COVID nineteen pandemic Obamacare crap that was supposed to expire that,
(06:11):
you know, and then we've talked about healthcare for illegals
and all this kind of stuff. It's just ridiculous, and
they knew the GOP was not going to budge on it,
and so now they're to your point, Rick, they're trying
to blame the Republicans, and the Republicans are like, hey, look,
we had a clean bill that pretty much just kept
us going to November twenty first, so we could could
negotiate for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
And they turned it down and they said, no, illegals
need health care.
Speaker 10 (06:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Yeah, and it's just it's ridiculous.
Speaker 11 (06:37):
But it could backfire because if this shuts down, then
then the Trump administration can go ahead and start cutting
things that need to be cut anyway, and it's going
to end up backfiring on them.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Trump made that point during a government shutdown. He has
you know, he has the ability to cut things and
do things that he normally wouldn't outside of a shutdown.
Speaker 10 (06:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Schumer said, oh, then that means it's Trump's shut down.
Then of course they're calling it the Schumer shut down.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
So then sure, yeah, well, just COVID nineteen's over everybody. Yeah,
just not.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
I wear mask still, I'm smart.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
I mean, COVID is always going to be with us,
and it now is just you know, you go, what
do you got? I think I have COVID? Okay, I
think I have the flu. I think I have bronchitis.
It's just on that list. Now, we don't live in
our society, like you just said, speedy under the pandemic
rules that were disastrous and you move on with your life.
And it's called being sick. And you know, the flu
(07:30):
can be dangerous to certain people, COVID can be dangerous
to certain people. Pneumonia, you know, comes from flu. I mean,
there's all kinds of We've all lived our lives with
things that can make you sick and it's just been
put on that list now and you move on. I
mean you saw that with your own father. I mean
you didn't see the hospital freaking out. And we still
(07:50):
don't know why your dad tested positive for COVID. Yeah
we ever mentioned that, Yeah, because I mean nothing was
wrong with them that that was of any I mean,
did did end up getting it? Did your mom end
up getting it? Did you end up getting out? My
cousin Lisa didn't even end up getting it.
Speaker 11 (08:06):
And for those of you don't know, when my dad
had to go to the mercery room and I had
to leave that Friday, and it was a big scare.
After all was said and done that then the emergency
room physicians said, oh, and by the way, mister Wilburn,
you tested positive for COVID and He's like, what what
are you talking about? And he never had one symptom
and so yeah, so these Obamacare subsidies that the dams
(08:27):
are wanting to continue from COVID nineteen, it's just ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
And then you know, we had a text of a
person who said they were in the hospital with COVID
having to take on an IV. You know, yeah, you
just don't know, you don't know, you know, just like
I said, somebody has the flu and you know, they
get sick and they lay in bed for a few days,
go back to work. Somebody else ends up getting the onion,
has to go to the hospital. I mean, that's just
it's just in that world we do we have some
(08:50):
special you know, flu government program. I mean, come on,
I mean we're past that now and we don't have
the money for it. Yeah, and it's ridiculous. So I
don't know how it's gonna turn out. I know they'll
both try to blame each other, but I will say
this back just sitting up in the stands watching obviously
with the preference for the right, but not worshiping the right,
(09:14):
or as you said, thinking everything that they do is correct,
because it's not. But I will say if I was
someone that walked up and I could see the state
of the two parties right now, it seems pretty obvious
that Democrats need some good pr and and they're not
really liked right now, and they need a win. And
I'm not sure this is why it's on their part
(09:36):
because their public related I mean that pr right now,
it's not very good now except for those that are monocal,
but those that are just kind of you know that
can kind of go either way. They're not real happy
with the with the left right now, and the far
left is destroying the Democratic Party. Yep, we'll be back.
We have a lot to do on the program today
(09:58):
and we'll walk with you through it on another show.
Speaker 12 (10:02):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Drink Buzzbox, the world's
(10:23):
best coffee now by going to Burgessministries dot com. Ten

Speaker 2 (10:35):
If you're not drinking Buzzbox, the coffee you're drinking could
be better. Plus it makes an impact, make a difference
one cup at a time. So we've been talking a
good bit about safe step walking Tubs. Yeah, is this
something that's become an issue with you or someone that

use them, but they usually can get the work done

hundred dollars off just because you're part of the Rick
Burgers Show family. So find out more by going to
rickburgesshow dot com under sponsors Safe Step Walking Tubs. You'll
find their phone number there as well. So we're following
(11:41):
this funny story today, and you know, I don't know
if y'all enjoy as much as I do. And sometimes
on Instagram or whatever, they'll just be reels full of
them and that are that's TV reporters or TV anchors
doing bloopers or being in duress or something happening that
is there's outrageous. I can watch those over and over
(12:03):
and like they'll they're like us, they'll hit a story
or a headline and next thing you know it, somebody
snickers and they all they all whatever. But this one
is is even weirder because apparently there's a robbery suspect
that a TV crew is doing a story. This is
in Colorado. It's a man suspected of committing multiple robberies
(12:25):
in Colorado. And the TV crew is talking about the
story and this guy is actually following behind them. He
is the suspect.
Speaker 11 (12:35):
Yeah, they're giving like a description of what the guy
looks like, and the guy turns and goes, wait a minute,
is him? And Adler's got a little bit of this
courtesy of Local twelve w r C.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Okay here, hey, put the camera on them.
Speaker 13 (12:51):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Hey, Mary, you see this person of my hair? That's him.
That's him. And he's looking at them walking around and hey,
put the camera on them.
Speaker 10 (13:04):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
He Hey, Mary, you see this much.
Speaker 9 (13:07):
Of my hair?
Speaker 5 (13:08):
That's him?
Speaker 2 (13:09):
That's him.
Speaker 11 (13:12):
So they're they're doing a story on him, given the description,
and and they go way to that and he was
arrested fifteen minutes later.
Speaker 5 (13:20):
Oh that's him.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I mean, he didn't think you would have cleared there.
I said, he didn't follow the way.
Speaker 11 (13:27):
You know some of these folksy you know you hear
all these arsonists and stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
They want to us sit back and watch. Did he
want to sit back and watch? He did not follow
the standard rule that if if you are you know,
in the trouble area, clear the area. Yeah. Also, Adler,
I sent you a couple of emails I told you
about that go along with with with hayburd hayburde today.
(13:53):
Uh and so grab grab a couple of those, especially
the two that I sent you. Oh I saw that talk.
Speaker 10 (14:03):
You're really gonna do that?
Speaker 2 (14:06):
You got a picture. The reason why I'm doing this
one is because there's a challenge that goes with it. Yeah,
there's a challenge in Gregor, I want you to be
ready because this is a challenge a fellas. I have
one hundred dollars. Hey bird, Hey bird, I'm gonna sit here.
Then if you guys can do this story on the
(14:29):
air without laughing, Adler, would you put the headline up
on the screen? Shirt, greg there's a there's a place
called the Okay, Yeah, I've seen a lot of that.
Have you seen this particular headline. See where it is. Unfortunately,
in this place that we get pictures from all the time,
we get this all the time from from a true
(14:52):
place that is that is called Uranus. You know this
is factory, the fudge factory. There people so many, so many. Yeah,
that's bad and and and so unfortunately, I don't know
who would do we smile the the Oscar Mera Winner
(15:12):
mobile decided to go to the Uranus swedge factory. All right,
who would do that? Whoys?
Speaker 5 (15:21):
There are tons of BUCkies who would do this.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
And then they they post as they're leaving on their Instagram,
that's one happy winter pulling out of Uranus. There it is.
That's the headline, which is really accurate.
Speaker 11 (15:36):
It's the window bill pulling out of Uranus fodge factory,
and it's it's that's a that's a.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Real thing, real wow. But if you hear it like that, right,
So we've been inside there by the way, well yeah,
I've written around a number of times. It came to
the lot here, been there a couple of years ago.
Speaker 11 (15:55):
The little whistles the Wiermobile has been uh gret whistles
down The Rick and Bubba Show and the Rick Burgess
Show for so long. So if you remember uh school closing,
Tony God rest his soul. Uh, it goes way back
speaking of the Quintard mall right across the street. Uh,
(16:16):
the Windomobile had an appearing. They were letting people try
out for the news and I wrote around in it
and everything, and he's saying, hey, bird, hey burge.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
This is from Travis. So I think we all got
one hundred dollars. We didn't laugh. There were some sis
you just venmo me. I'll let you know. Yesterday a
caller said that Adler looked like look a Shrek character,
but upon further review, it seems to me that Adler
appears to have a side hustle with the w W
E under the alias J. D McDonough.
Speaker 6 (16:48):
He will send me this all the time. Also, it's
not me, guys. It looked like you got hit in
the face with a frying fan. Please right after taking.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
That's there's Adler for all of you YouTube city.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
I don't look like those you out there.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
They don't have the YouTube option. Just google j D
mcgon mcdonaugh. I don't look like w w W. Look
at that ready to go. Oh yeah, I've seen him
fly all the top rope. Yeah, it looks a lot
like you.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
That doesn't look like me at all.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
That guy looks like he has a beard. Hey, if
every if every much like me, then every beard bearded
guy with along here looks like you. How about this
not not bad? This is pretty good.
Speaker 11 (17:29):
A I has adler uh doing some nasal spray or
something on the skateboard, on the skateboard in the airport.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Look at texttation.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
They're getting good guys.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Now that does look like that does look like.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
That and everything.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Yeah, it's kind of like that picture they had of
me with the deer.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
I mean, just like me, arms and everything.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
So so anyway, I get okay.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
So as far as the things that we get sent
all the time, we get to uranus fudge. Actually all
the time, I get buckets, the drummer, the horse head.
Why that's even a thing, still very famous.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
I don't know why.
Speaker 7 (18:09):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (18:09):
And then I get this this wrestler j D McDonough
jac something like that. Yeah that's not None of those
are me.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Boy, I'll tell you. They look like and you know
flat fat.
Speaker 6 (18:20):
Yeah, yes, my place is fis not that flat's only
a little bit flat.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Now, somebody said that ad Or laughed and we don't
get our hundred dollars. You didn't laugh, did you? Did
you laugh?
Speaker 14 (18:32):
No?
Speaker 5 (18:32):
I laugh on the inside, not on the outside.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah, all right, we'll be back. We got more to
cover today. Stick around.
Speaker 12 (18:44):

Speaker 12 (20:01):
Don't forget the Wednesday Bible Study today at noon Central
Time on the Rick Burger Show YouTube channel.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Today we continue It'd be Joe thirty three today, So
catch it live at noon Central time on the YouTube channel,
or granted the archive a little bit later, about an
hour sometimes less than that after the after we're done
with the actual Bible study. And of course, if you're
(20:30):
in town, fellas me and only, you're always welcome to
be here in the studio of course for the study
as well. Okay, so this is something I've really kind
of been holding back. I've mentioned it a little bit,
but I was kind of waiting, waiting to see if
it was real. And it is real. It is real, Greg,
(20:52):
I know that. You know it's been a long time
ago that Bubba and I were cast in the movie
Rushing Yes as two bartenders named Red Sleeveless. Big moment.
Then you know, you had a couple of times where
Adler appeared and then Bubba and I appeared in the
(21:16):
Grayson plugged Okay, Bubba ized Bubba and I's voices have
been in a couple of different deals. But but and
and then, and then it all changed when Greg of
course played card Jack Victim. Yes, Entangled Web Entangled Web
critically acclaimed. Yes, couldn't find the biggest audience, but critically
(21:41):
acclaimed and critics they did, and they loved your performance
as card Jack victim. Was that filmed on the iPad?
Speaker 7 (21:49):
No?
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Ex actually big? Nice it was and Greg, you you
it was an incredible scene. A lot of people talking, Yeah,
well Greg, but a lot of people say that that
that was where the movie took on. Yeah, all all
the personality that's very small, that's want it brings you in. Yeah,
just be yourself, you had no problem. Yeah and uh
(22:10):
so yeah, Greg, going back to these different appearances over
the years and movies of various size, Adler and Grays Unplugged,
this is usually overlooked. We shouldn't overlook it. That is
that was That was That was funny and what a
production the stuff. Yeah, they just took the whole place
(22:31):
over and I was scared and uh and I once
had a chance in Mom's Day Out, I had an
opportunity to play skating rink DJ and I just didn't
want to. I was I was just like, I know
what that's gonna be like, and I'll be there all
day and you know whatever. And and so I've gotten
to the point where, you know, and of course, you know,
(22:52):
some of it has has affected me that, you know,
having a son that's a movie producer or director. I mean,
the few times that my wife and I had been
cast and something, he kills us and yeah, and that
kind of got these some of these short films he's done.
Of course, we were both overlooked for his first major
motion picture. And that's fine. I mean, I'm sure he
found some good actors. So another opportunity has presented itself,
(23:18):
and I've been contacted by another group that's doing a movie.
Looks like it's a really incredible story. This, the person
the story the movie is about, has an incredible story.
And I don't know whether it was men Don't Run
(23:39):
in the Rain. I don't know what what did this?
Our title are constant talking about. You know, Dad and
I have been asked to play coach Harrison, a football coach.
Coach Harrison.
Speaker 11 (23:55):
See, let me just tell you something great makes it
When you mentioned the possibility of this happening a month ago.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Play on back. I thought, well, he's joking.
Speaker 11 (24:07):
And then suddenly the people reach out and want like
his bio picture and and a rite up on him
and and I'm in love sending it.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
A carjack victim. I thinking this is real, this is happening.
If you look in the script, Rick, and it does
call for a car jack victim, I will tell him,
you know somebody if I.
Speaker 15 (24:25):
See a car jack saying I don't know who, y'all cat.
If you need a natural reaction, he can play himself.
We got a guy and if you want, it's little
time on him.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
In that last one, Greg, if you if you want
to DJA on the radio station to place all indie artist,
I've got the guy, you know, yeah bring yeah. So
uh so anyway, then he had that makeout scene in
that Graycen Bloke. Yes, that was a Christian movie, Greg, right,
which is why, which is why you were only shirtless. Yeah,
(24:57):
but none of that happened.
Speaker 5 (25:00):
He didn't touch my leg though in the in the
DJ booth because it was close quarters.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Okay, I wasn't in the movie, Greig. When all of
a sudden, she's been INVIW you looking.
Speaker 16 (25:08):
At hell on you tell her for the tour.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
So that was just me talking like they didn't even
use my voice.
Speaker 6 (25:18):
No, I didn't get paid because if you don't, if
your voice isn't in it, you don't have any lines.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
They don't get you don't get residuals.
Speaker 11 (25:24):
I think if they need an over greet working the door,
getting everybody in the game rate let me know.
Speaker 5 (25:28):
Yeah, like we have a Walmart greeter.
Speaker 2 (25:30):
Hey right, Greg, Greg? Before I start trying to do
a little bit better, when did I start directing the marching?
I just this is brilliant, is what it is.
Speaker 11 (25:37):
Somebody sent us to you trying to be a drum
mate that looks sadly a lot like me. But anyway,
the and I feel bad for that guy. I had
seventy five on there, not twenty five.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Now it'd really be it's something on Texano theme going
with about three h But but one of the funny
things with Grayson. One of the things was funny on
Grayson and plugged the way off and overlooked is they
decided to shoot I mean a big pinnacle scene in
the movie, serious emotional scene in our former green room.
Oh I remember, and the actress whatever her name was,
(26:08):
I forget her name, aj something. Yeah, she's doing this
like find out about her dad and all this stuff,
and behind her like Bubb and are going, yeah, there's
some pictures of us and we're doing something really in
the background. It's a big serious moment. It's a good movie.
I've seen it. And but yeah, they're having this serious moment.
You look behind and the pictures of ritten Bubb and
(26:29):
they're going, so, uh, here's here's where you ever had something?
And you think, man, what a great opportunity. But then
you realize how busy you are, and you think, well,
And so they had a day they wanted me to shoot.
I'm only going to shoot for one day. Of course
it's twelve hours, but I would have shoot one day.
It's just it's gonna be on a Saturday. And so
(26:51):
I'm right right before right time and coach and shoors,
I hope, so it won't be any big d from
my sizes for wardrobe, and I thought a lot of
y'all don't have to get me wardrobe. I can go
get some of Dad's black shorts. I'm ready, and I've
got my tearsaws, I got my black coach and shoes.
I'm ready. But by the way, apparently in the scene
I've read it, I jump on our lead character. I
(27:13):
think I don't think I come across good. But but anyway,
the I think I get on a pretty good at practice. Really,
I'm kind of looking forward to that. But channel your
inner I can channel that. Yeah, but think of him
as Brody get taking you HD my accord and hiding it.
That's what I'm but anyway, come out in you. So motivation.
(27:34):
So they had a day that the people I'm supposed
to be in the scene with were coming, and I
committed to that day. And then they said they can't
do that day. And I thought, well, okay, that that's it.
I might of it now, so whatever, and I just said, hey,
I can't do the other day they offered. I said, so, man,
I'm sorry. What a great opportunity.
Speaker 14 (27:50):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
And then they came out and says, well, could you
do this day? And of course I could? And this
is real? So it's real and is it this month?
Speaker 11 (28:00):
I like the idea of doing it probably than I
like doing you know the boy, it will bring a
lot to the show. Well do you think possible to
do you have your lines yet, Yeah, I have. We
might need to with approval from them because there might
you might be a little you know, something that you
can't discuss. You pay need to find that out, because
do they know you blab everything? I mean, there might
(28:21):
be you know what I'm saying. But if you know
your lines and they're okay with it, we might need
to practice a little bit.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Don't you think that though? In one of the few
things that if you have something an independent film that
you want to get attention, that our personality and the pact,
the fact that we have a reputation for blabbing. In
a rare instance, this might be a good thing.
Speaker 11 (28:48):
It could be, but they might not want you to
give everything away. But do my whole scene in here right,
because I mean, I'd love for you to eat Gregg
up the player.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Yeah, I look forward to that. Chairs has come down hard.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
That'll be good.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
So I don't know if that's a big stress you
probably you probably what if I jumped on car jat victim?
There you go? What if you jack the car? Right?
Speaker 11 (29:10):
You probably read the first line or two and I'm
sure on down just a little bit. Now keep all
this to yourself. We can't disclosure?
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Should I bring you in more than I already have?
Like to communicate with these people and all that, would
you like I sent them? Would you like to know
what's going on where I'm going? It's probably could be nice,
but it's gonna be fine. I think it'll be I
think it's you guys. You have to understand when you
have five hours of a show every single day, which
(29:42):
is which always separates the people that can do what
we do for a living and the ones that can't.
Is can you do another show tomorrow? Really? We'll commit
to things because we know what to bring content. So
even though I even though yeah, Greg, even though I'm
gonna lose a football Saturday, yeah, twelve hours to do it?
This what I know that what I'll go through that day, Yes,
(30:04):
what will go through if the movie ever finds a
place and actually comes out sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
All of that it will be content for the show. Now,
I'll have to remind myself of that when that Saturday
gets here in two weeks, Okay, I'll have to remind yeah,
actually three weeks. It's it's actually three weeks from Saturday.
(30:24):
So I'll have to remind myself of that. But but
I think for the show this could be funny, especially
the first time they send you all the steel shots
of me dressed in the old coaching gear. Yes, that's precious.
You know they said they cast me from my calves alone. Oh,
they're requiring you to shame you know, I didn't think
(30:45):
about that. They haven't seen anything about that. Oh you
need what if they want me to go sleep face
and I come back and sleep face? Second of it?
Speaker 5 (30:54):
Greg, you said you did tangled web because do you
want any content for the show?
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Yes, no, you had dreams it big.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
We all know about.
Speaker 12 (31:03):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He was told, good
luck finding a job that would pay him to be
the class cloud Rick Burgess.
Speaker 2 (31:23):
All right, America, here we go, brand new hour. We
thank you for being with us. All right, So Speedy
has just said something to me in the break that
has got me kind of excited.
Speaker 13 (31:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Uh, you know, I normally am am not all that
excited or care about iPhone updates, but oh, this this
one could be it.
Speaker 13 (31:46):
Yep.
Speaker 11 (31:47):
Yes, uh, you know, we're all a little scared of
AI because we're trying to figure it out.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Some of it kind of spooks a little here.
Speaker 11 (31:55):
It does, but there's certain intelligence that you go, Okay,
now that that that right there, right, there's a game changer.
And on the new iOS update, in mail and the
mail app, you can if you click on an email,
and let's just say it's a lengthy one. And most
people over the years, and I'll say the audience has
(32:17):
gotten better, they have.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
They know we can't. We can't handle the long emails.
Speaker 10 (32:21):
We just we.
Speaker 11 (32:24):
At the at the at the top right of the email,
you can hit summarize what an Apple Intelligence wassically give
you a two sentence breakdown of the email.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Okay, this this alone makes me give a I a
slide apology. I mean, if you could take some of
these wordy can I just can I? And and some
of it may be on me. Two things I would
love from the audience, uh, strange encounters, especially right, Please
(32:56):
double space? When when when these emails do not have
a double space and you print them out and you're
trying to look at them and try to read them
when they're not double space, it's almost it's almost impossible,
really is so please double space? And if you can't,
and if you could put it in a nutshell, that'd
be great. Yeah, and I used it yesterday. Wait wait, wait,
(33:19):
you've already got it? Am I Do I have this?
Speaker 11 (33:21):
I don't know if you've got your latest update that.
Do you have them set up to where it automatically
comes in?
Speaker 14 (33:25):
Now?
Speaker 2 (33:25):
I think it's in.
Speaker 11 (33:26):
I think it's in the twenty six point zero point
one or whatever whatever is now, I use it. I
used it yesterday, Rick, we had a.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Very right here.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Look where is it? Show me?
Speaker 13 (33:40):
Look?
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Look you see that?
Speaker 5 (33:41):
And how long it is?
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Oh it's very long. Get summarize and then watch here.
It'll tell you like that that is a game. I
don't have summarize.
Speaker 10 (33:50):
I thought.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I thought I already had this. I thought I had
all my updates.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
Oh I didn't set up Apple Intelligence.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
That one left on them.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
I've got the latest, but I didn't set it up.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Oh set it up.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
Apple Intelligence.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yeah, okay, yeah, you need to get Yeah. Yeah, see
you don't. Boy, you're behind am I. Really your two
updates behind am I?
Speaker 10 (34:11):
Is that?
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Okay? D I did too. You you have to set
it to where automatically I thought it. I thought I
had You can do that in settings. That's why it's
called settings. Well, I got you. You don't have to
have that tone.
Speaker 17 (34:24):
Get it.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
You sound like talking to a senior citizen.
Speaker 11 (34:28):
I'm sure Samsung Androids or whatever, y'all, we might be
late to the game.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
That's all right.
Speaker 11 (34:33):
But uh, the Apple Intelligence thing, you can now if
if you have an iPhone, there's an app on there
that you can search and it basically it says tips
T I P S. It's a yellow app, uh, and
it looks like a light bulb almost. You can you
can click on that and it kind of rolls you
through on how to do certain things. But uh, this
(34:55):
Apple Intelligence in certain areas, it's it's a game changing. No,
it's a game changer.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
I mean it's going to AI is one day, you know,
of course, going to bring on the anti Christ and
ask us, you know, to worship him or die. But
before then, I think there's some things that it does
that are really really incredible. I mean it really is.
Now this like, for instance, I think it is completely
(35:23):
and we were discussing this yesterday. I think it's completely
unethical to tell AI to write something and you just
give it the topic and then you claim it for yourself.
I do not think it's unethical. What you just showed
me to say, Here is my here are my thoughts,
here's the research I've done. I've done the work. I'm
trying to organize everything in a nutshell. Could you summarize
(35:46):
this for I think that is actually helping these emails,
I mean other people. The AI is not writing the email.
It's just summarizing the email for you and putting your
putting it together, it organized, and so until it takes
over the world, guys, I think we can use some
of it. Yep.
Speaker 11 (36:02):
So like in the email app, you can do what
I just said, and that summarize long emails. If you
respond and you set up Apple Intelligence and again I
know Android and all those guys they probably have, you
can actually highlight it and then hit hit the intelligence
button and go, do you want us to help you
(36:22):
with a friendly or a business response? If if maybe
you were a little sloppy in your response and you're like,
then you can always hit friendly whatever and Apple Intelligence
will rewrite what you what you.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Well, I don't want I don't want to pretend. I
don't want to use technology and try to make myself
sound more intelligent than I really am. To me, that's cheating,
but summarizing, but summarizing something that you did put together,
and then summarizing something you're trying to read. I'm all
about that. Yeah, and and just so let's let's have
(36:55):
some email hints today. That's double space. Uh and and
just remember that that, you know, if it's I have
people who would literally say to me, will you let
speedy read this Rick, because I know you won't read
this long email. I've even had someone say, at this point,
I realize you're not reading anymore.
Speaker 11 (37:11):
So that that that's summarized, summarize that one click that'll
make you at a game chore it.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
I'll make you update your software right now. Well, it's
of course. The only thing I hate about updating my
software is just when I know how to manage my
email and manage my text, the way to do it changes,
and everything's wrong, you know, right right. As soon as
I learn how to do everything, then the update changes
how you do it right now? I hate that. You
can go back to you can go back to the
(37:37):
other view.
Speaker 10 (37:39):
I can tell you.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Where I have the most trouble and have a to
do with the phone. My laptop is a nightmare when
it comes to email, it's trying to get the right
view that I want is a nightmare. It really is.
But when you click the wrong button, you don't half No,
I've got half head, right. I just it's crazy. Rick,
(38:01):
You know you were talking about a you got to
experience the other day. Mother calls it a one. I know,
he said, Mom calling and a one picked up person
have talked to a one. It's it's not a one
that I said. I said, A one is a steak sauceer.
(38:21):
I pretty good, but not today, Uh, I said, yeah,
A one is is a steak sauce. She's mad about
she's all mad about talking to you. One thing all
I got can't talk to anybody end up talking to
a one. By the way, these don't ever change. Doctors,
doctors and doctors staffs. Call your elderly patients back. Please
(38:43):
don't let them talk to a one. They and when y'all,
if y'all say, I'm gonna call them and give them
a update on something, please do.
Speaker 7 (38:50):
Boy.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Hey, if you don't understand, they have a lot of
time on their hands, so unlike us, we can get
business forgot you told us that they remember and they're
waiting on that call. Y'all, please do a better job
of calling. Don't even you don't have to call young
pages if you don't want, please call the elderly patients.
Speaker 11 (39:04):
Back, because I'm gonna tell you. If not, they tattle
on y'all to their kids.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
They don't and then they and then they don't, and
they don't like me. You know, you handing them off
day one. They don't like that anymore. Don't do that,
not any one. How you doing good?
Speaker 7 (39:19):
Well?
Speaker 2 (39:19):
You're the doctor. Ain't called me back. See that's every
day you're in that world. Oh yeah, well I talked.
I finally talked to a person, not a one. They
said they'd call me right back. They still ain't called me.
Speaker 12 (39:32):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Listen.
Speaker 18 (39:45):
You know we say.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
You gotta fly well.
Speaker 12 (39:56):
Broadcasting from the world the Rich.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Here we go America, a brand new hour.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
Thank you for being with us and.
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Speedy, Gregg and Adler, the gang all here, Andy Andrews
coming up later on Be True or bs is Fat Today?
Can you win and get a shot at the wheel
of bundles bits are Bucks? Your opportunity is coming. Thank
you for being with us today. So I wasn't prepared.
(40:37):
You know how sometimes you're because I like, I don't
follow a lot of news until I get to the
show and then speedy and even if we don't do
all the stories, we're at least informed on kind of
what's going on. But a lot of times, you know,
you'll you'll go by and you'll check on something, and
like sometimes when when my day comes to a close,
I'll go, well, let me just take a look at
(40:57):
the news for just a minute. In a few minutes,
I'll be updated and then I'm gonna move on to
something super important, like maybe seeing if anybody sings good
on the voice. So if all the chairs turn right,
boy boy, please watch it just one episode, please, if
we're begging you, we're begging you. And what time of
night it comes, like seven seven? I want you to
(41:20):
just watch the chair turn thing. Just watch one person
it is. It is a secondhand embarrassment purpose person's nightmare. Okay, goodness, okay.
I wish we could watch it together, especially if we
can get speeding in front of one that starts with
a heartwarming background story. Oh yeah, then they don't get
a chair turn, you know, as it gets when you
got the background story, it was a shoe in that
(41:42):
they were gonna make it not anymore, not anymore. As
a matter of fact, they'll have somebody's mama die and
sing the song for the mama and get no chair turn.
Yeah really, oh yeah. Do the judges like look left
and right like they're looking at you sometime and look
at each other like and then and this always happens.
These always happens. This always happens on those you know,
(42:02):
I was just about to push my button, you know,
if I heard your saying maybe a little bit longer.
Have you ever seen I was just doing this for
my mama, have you?
Speaker 11 (42:11):
And hugging the behind the scenes, do they have anything
like that? Like do the producers do they kind of
really know who's already coming out and what they're going
to do?
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Are they acting or is it real?
Speaker 8 (42:21):
You know?
Speaker 2 (42:22):
I mean, like do they know? Nobody knows? But one
thing I think is a safe area for you. And
I just discovered it last night and I couldn't stay
up for the new show because it didn't come on
to A eight and that's our bedtime. But I was
on Tuesday night. Apparently they do a recap, so everybody
(42:42):
you see get it gets a chair turned. They just
give you the best of the night before I watch that. Yeah,
that's not that. But I just thought, maybe put them
out there, lettingm fee how the game feels, you know,
the song looking and they'll try to hold the last
note real long. If nobody's turned around, baby, hurry up
now for that the end. But the art that would
destroy you it is not the artist. It's over there
(43:03):
with Carson Daily, the family members and friends, and they're like,
somebody turned, come on, Michael turn Yeah, it's terrible.
Speaker 16 (43:14):
They're doing that.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
They're saying them their names.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
No, no, no, no, not no.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
But that's a bad look. For some reason, I always
want to read it to turn family, like one of
my favorite on there. But what's he got to do
with singing? That was?
Speaker 13 (43:38):
He knows?
Speaker 2 (43:38):
Greg you know? Artist? I don't know. I mean, he's
one of the best ones on the show. He's very entertaining.
But who is this again? Snoop? Okay, you got you got,
you got this year, you got booblet, you got Riba
and some guy I don't know who he is, one
direction guy. Yeah, and he talks with an Irish accent,
and then there's a snoop. I like the guy who
I don't know who he is. I just don't know
(44:00):
who he is. He was his name Niles. Yes, he
was in one direction. You remember the band that put
together and they just took over the world. That's the
one that had the the Harry which is yeah, yeah,
I didn't, but of course I never watched Harry Harry Styles.
Yeah is not is Niles on his own like Harry
Styles Harry level.
Speaker 5 (44:21):
That's not that level.
Speaker 2 (44:22):
But he I think he is a solo arte.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
Yeah, he's just Harry Styles is the most successful for sure.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Well, well, my goodness, I didn't know this was gonna
be the Harry Styles show.
Speaker 5 (44:29):
I'm a big Harry Styles are. I don't get Harry Styles.
I don't get Harry. I don't get it.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
I don't get it.
Speaker 5 (44:35):
But he's huge, selling out stadiums.
Speaker 11 (44:37):
I did see it real it had no contestants on it,
but it was ree but talking to Harry. But he
said something about you know, you sure are good looking
or something effect and and and Snoop went thank you
whatever he said. I was talking to Harry and Snoop
or knives, Yeah, who Harry, I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Who's Harry. We were just he also was in the
same he's not in it. I watch, I don't know.
Speaker 11 (45:01):
The conversation was like two seconds a guy, Well, no,
I know, but I'm gett confused on Harry. And because
we all one direction, speedy would you be with? They
were both in one direction Harry and now yes, would
you be with? His name was Harry Noiles.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
And then one of them died. We did the story.
Oh yeah, yeah, they jumped out the window. Was that
one of their guys? Yeah, he was boaut on off
that balcony. Yeah, that was speedy Harry. Though no, Harry, Harry, Harry.
It would be like justin Timberlake from n Sink than
the rest of them. They have a little but he's here,
you go.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
Here's the picture of one direction.
Speaker 6 (45:35):
This is Harry Styles, got it, the one that you
think is hot speedy, No, this is Niles.
Speaker 5 (45:41):
He's on the voice.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Okay, that's who Reba was talking to. And then snoops,
the one talking.
Speaker 5 (45:46):
That's the guy that and this is the one that
unfortunately went crazy on drugs.
Speaker 2 (45:50):
And who's the other two?
Speaker 5 (45:51):
This is two other two guys?
Speaker 2 (45:53):
Are they doing they are? They are?
Speaker 5 (45:55):
But it is nobody's been successful as Harry Styles.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
So you if speedy, would you be willing to come
over to the house, just you and me and watch
a no Chair Turn or two. Yeah? Okay, because now
because because I want to see it so bad, I
want to when under the couch when the family starts panicking,
(46:19):
he'll have to leave. That's the part he can't take.
Because some of them are such pros because they can
tell they gig a lot. They're they're not really letting
the no Turn affect them. You can tell it does
a little bit. It's the family and friends with Carson,
and Carson starts getting down going and the thing about
this like they're in a huddle. Yes, nobody that comes
(46:42):
out is a bad singer. They all can sing. They
all established they're good. We need some bad ones, I know.
But you know, even even idols kind of got away
from that, which I thought was the best part of
the show. Nobody can take it anymore. We're about to
come back and talk about Pete heck seth. I mean,
we can't even point out the fact that people are
overweight anymore.
Speaker 11 (47:03):
And if we want elite of elite to be in shape,
if we've allowed the term fat, shame to even even exist.
Speaker 2 (47:12):
We can't handle the old American idol and Simon Cowell.
Simon Cowell, I mean the way he used to talk
to him, which I thought was the greatest part of
the show. I mean even on America's Got Talent that
he's on now and that shows lasts too long. I
can't watch it. But anyway, he's he's not really mean
on it. You can tell he has consciously made that change.
(47:33):
But the world can't take it. I can't take it.
When he used to look at him and tell him
that that was horrible. Remember he would say things like
that sound light, two cats dying, Yeah, stuff like that.
Speaker 10 (47:43):
It was good.
Speaker 2 (47:44):
That was good. So when we come back, Pete heg
Seth has got himself in trouble because he has the
audacity to actually demand excellence physically out of our military
and also calling on our military leadership should be a
good example. And he's in trouble from the view from
(48:07):
saying these from saying these kinds of things. We'll be
right back. Stay close.
Speaker 12 (48:14):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. America sleeps well every
night just knowing these four men are on the air.
(48:36):
The Rick Witches.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
Show, America. We got it we got this. We're good.
Thanks for being with us. So Pete peg Seth is
in trouble today. But for those horrible, horrible things we
said demanding physical excellence and demanding that the top brass
would be good examples. We have his comments. He's at Quantico,
the top brass is there, and here's pistol Pete with
(49:02):
his commentary. And this is what's got him in trouble.
Speaker 10 (49:04):
Here we go.
Speaker 19 (49:05):
This administration has done a great deal from day one
to remove the social justice, politically correct, and toxic ideological
garbage that had infected our department.
Speaker 5 (49:16):
We are done with that.
Speaker 19 (49:17):
It's tiring to look out at combat formations, or really
any formation and see fat troops. Likewise, it's completely unacceptable
to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of
the Pentagon. We're empowering drill sergeants to instill healthy fear
in new recruits. Yes they can shark attack, they can
toss bunks, they can swear, and yes they can put
(49:37):
their hands on recruits.
Speaker 13 (49:40):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
So he says, I look out and I see fat
recruit I mean fat people serving. I see fat Trump officers.
And now and here's what he say, and I saw
some other things, he said. You know, as far as
females are concerned, he welcomes females just serve in the military,
but they're going to have to pass the physical requirement
(50:03):
of men.
Speaker 5 (50:04):
Here he is talking a little bit more about just
the physical requirement.
Speaker 19 (50:07):
Okay, if the Secretary of War can do regular hard PT,
so can every member of our joint force.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Wow.
Speaker 19 (50:16):
Frankly, I don't know's tiring to look out at combat
formations or really any formation and see fat troops.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Likewise, it's completely unacceptable to see fat.
Speaker 5 (50:26):
Generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon and
leading commands around the country in the world.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
It's a bad look. It is bad and it's not
who we are. So whether you're an airborne ranger or
a chairborn ranger, a brand.
Speaker 19 (50:39):
New private or a four star general, you need to
meet the height and weight standards and pass the PT test.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
There you go. So, he says women, he's not withholding
any service from any woman that can pass the standard.
And how about this. There are those that can. Those
are the ones that should serve, and the ones that can't.
Man are woman should not? And what a concept the
(51:05):
thing that I love about what he's doing. And we
said this on the show for many many years on
the Rick and Bubba Show, and we weren't the only ones.
Other people were saying it too. Taking of all the
places that we do not need the DEI attitude, woke experiments,
social experiments, this is not the place for that. We
(51:31):
need the military. Like he I was reading the written
story that Speedy pulled out, he said that our attitude
seems to be that we are we need the highest
standard to maintain the position. He said, we got to
restore a ruthless, dispassionate and common sense application of standards.
(51:52):
This is the line that I was looking for. We
got to go back to training warriors, not defenders. We
fight wars to not just to defend. Defense is certainly
part of it, but we've lost the warrior mentality of
being on offense to win the war boom, and so
that has got him in trouble. Now, keep in mind,
(52:14):
keep in mind we're living in a time that that
has people upset. Well, the view won't have none of it.
Sunny Houston is up first and we got a couple
of clips from them. They are very unhappy with mean
Pete Hegseith.
Speaker 20 (52:31):
What that the optics were terrible, meaning all of our
top military brass are all in one place and we
spent six million dollars to get them there. That didn't
make a lot of sense to me. It also didn't
make a lot of sense to me that he was
saying that he was going to toughen physical standards and
review the anti hazing policy by sort of implementing a
(52:53):
hazing policy. And then also he said he was going
to return to the highest mail standard for combat positions
because the troops were fat. I just I don't understand
how that was supposed to be an uplifting message for
our military standards.
Speaker 13 (53:12):
It was. It was just, it was.
Speaker 20 (53:13):
It was really a bizarre thing. He started talking about
woke DEI policies. By the way, there are no gender
quotas in the military. By the way, he fired more
than a dozen military leaders, many of them people of
color and women. He fired the chairman of the Joint
Chief of Staff, General Charles Brown Junior, who is he
fired the first woman to command the Navy, Admiral Lisa
(53:35):
frank Ketty.
Speaker 6 (53:36):
That doesn't matter, It doesn't matter that skin color doesn't
matter if they're a man or a woman.
Speaker 5 (53:39):
All that matters is are they doing a good job.
That's really all that matters at all.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
If you if you catch son, of course, for your
your whole world view to view as emotion, you can't
be consistent. She just went on to say there is
no dei stuff going on in the military, there are
no quotas. But then when she got into the firing
all she did was talk about quotas. She has a
firing quota, right, she didn't have a hiring quota because
she has a firing quota. If these people, I bet
(54:06):
you if we went and looked, you'll find these people
were fired because they were inadequate and did not meet
the standard, not because they were people of color or
are women. So you know you're now saying they shouldn't
be fired if they're people of color are women. That
is quote. You just did it the other way. So
now here comes the term Here it comes Pete. Heg
(54:28):
saith it's fat shaming, fat shaming the military.
Speaker 21 (54:32):
Yes, yeah, who did serve his country but chose to
denigrate the service of others. He name checked three generals,
two that I served and fat shaming the two that
I served with General Mackenzie and General Millie, both of
whom have a combined nearly one hundred years of service.
General Millie served for forty years in the military. You
don't need to attack other people's service to make yourself.
Speaker 5 (54:52):
So that's not what he was. Is a trader to
the country. Don't even get me started on that.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
Don't flip Adler's switch on him.
Speaker 11 (55:01):
Don't expect the view to get what Hexas said flies
right over their head.
Speaker 2 (55:06):
He's yeah, it's okay to have standards and and and
you know, in the military should have high standards, right.
Speaker 5 (55:14):
I just hate that, Rachel Levin Levine. However, Rachel, this.
Speaker 6 (55:18):
Person is right, this man, this man and women's clothes, right,
is no longer the assistant Secretary of health.
Speaker 2 (55:25):
Yeah, that was weird man.
Speaker 11 (55:28):
Yeah, so what's the one that was the one that
was bald running around stealing luggage, dressing like, oh yeah,
some excuse us if we want to our standards a
little higher.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
They are bad. Yeah. Well, and and him even talking
about right about the leadership. And this is something I
had to deal with in my own life. I had to.
I mean, I'm not in the military, but it matters. Uh,
you know, as civilians in leadership roles as well. I mean,
it's it's according to what you're doing. But I became
under huge conviction that for too much of my life
(56:03):
I was continue to justify the sin of gluttony. And
now there are some people that have weight issues and
they're not gluttons, and so I'm not talking about you.
But that was my problem. When I am morbidly overweight,
it's because I eat too much and I don't exercise.
I don't have any kind of you know, issues that
(56:24):
I deal with other medications or anything like that.
Speaker 10 (56:27):
I was.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
I was simply undisciplined physically and so and I was,
you know, I'm not talking about a holy BMI like
if you're you know, six', two you got to weigh
one eighty five or you're going to hell or you're in.
Sin i'm not talking about. That i'm talking about looking
at you, KNOW i don't know That i'll ever be.
Lean it's, very very. Difficult BUT i can now look
(56:49):
at myself in the mirror and, say you are not physically,
lazy and you are not over eating on a regular
basis like you once. Were BECAUSE i was trying to
go into men's, ministry stand up there and call men
to be self controlled and, alert and then they could
look at me and go where you're not self? Controlled,
NOW i might be self controlled in you, know other
(57:09):
areas of my, life but PHYSICALLY i. Was you, KNOW
i was standing in front of, them you, know at
two eighty five and three hundred, pounds talking about how
self controlled we all need to. BE i had no,
credibility AND i justified it so long Until god had
just finally had enough and, said you, know AND i came.
(57:31):
OUT i finally came at a. Conviction like my wife
has told many, People so what's up With? Rick when
did he start trying to be more physically? Healthy she,
said when he realized that he was in, sin and
until he called it, sin he wasn't gonna do anthing about. It,
True she's absolutely. Right and so, yeah if you're if
you're in a leadership, role you do have a responsibility
(57:52):
to be an example of what you're trying to call
other people. Too now That i'm not talking about a,
perfection And i'm also not apologizing, that you, know whether
somebody is applying things to their life or. Not sometimes
truth is. TRUTH i understand. That But it certainly is
more effective if you're in a leadership, role if you're
calling people to be, disciplined if you yourself are also. Disciplined,
(58:15):
yeah SO i can't believe what he's saying is. Controversial
we'll be right.
Speaker 12 (58:21):
Back this is The Rick Burgess. Show tickets are on
sale now for the twenty twenty Six Man Church Conferences
january twenty third and twenty fourth In, Birmingham, alabama And

see the. Lineup you can get all your plans together
at The manchurch Dot com or we also have the
link At Rick Burgess show Dot com at the bottom
of the. Page a couple of updates out of. Football
first of, all it's just leaving The Pete hegseth. Thing
there was a time when What Pete hegseth did and
(59:40):
the speech he gave that, group which you probably need
to hear the whole, thing not just, excerpts is everything in.
Context men and, women if you're a woman serving in the,
military would have considered that to be challenging and, inspiring
and now we're deeming it to be inappropriate to. Mean
(01:00:01):
and that's what's wrong with our with our. Society it really.
Is we don't know the difference in somebody that should,
be you, know held, accountable going hey, man you kind
of got out of. Hand now we're just taking the
basic things that used to challenge us and inspire us
and now deeming those to be to me and and
look and look what we're. Producing you're right out of the.
Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
Product.
Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Yeah so so it's, uh it's it's sad and you
Got i'm, sorry go.
Speaker 6 (01:00:25):
Ahead and that highlight REEL i was gonna say that
highlight REEL i picked on purpose because it was from
the view that was the view's highlight right. Reel so
to them that was the worst, bit edited in the
worst way, possible and it still wasn't. Bad it was
actually just the, truth. Right hegson also, said if you're
a woman and you can make it. Excellent if, not
(01:00:46):
that it is what it, Is i'm. Sorry, also weak
men won't qualify because we're not playing.
Speaker 5 (01:00:50):
Games this is. Combat this is life or death.
Speaker 11 (01:00:54):
Exactly and and a lot of the former military retired
colleagues were praising what he.
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Said they said it was extremely.
Speaker 11 (01:01:01):
Inspiration of, course he said that THE us military is
the baddest thing walking this, planet and we're going to
get back to that. Standard and you know and have
have you, know a certain bar that we have to you,
know climb over and not just Go, yeah just however
you are, man just come, on.
Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Don't lower the. Standard and as you just pointed Out, adler,
correctly it's not just women that'll be disqualified that don't
meet the. Standard men who don't meet it will be. Too,
yeah everybody is equal because they all have to make the.
Standard and women who make the standard service. Well men
who make it service, well and men and women who
don't you don't get.
Speaker 11 (01:01:36):
To, yeah there was a RETIRED i don't know what
rank he, was but he was a retired. Military he,
SAID i WISH i could re enlist right now after
hearing what he.
Speaker 6 (01:01:43):
Says there's a text message right. There i'm A navy,
VETERAN i served Under. OBAMA i would re enlist right
now after hearing The secretary Of war.
Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
Speech there you. Go but the view, says that's body.
Speaker 6 (01:01:54):
Shaming what's this obsession with fitness.
Speaker 22 (01:02:00):
THAT i?
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Know, well what's what's this football coaches obsession with his
team being in? Shape? Uh this is this is required
to do the. Job uh and so and, look we
don't need to live in a country that adheres to
the instructions of the. View, No i'll leave. It not
(01:02:20):
a good. IDEA a couple of things out of the sports.
World speaking of coaches and people that are in, LEADERSHIP
i did not know that interim coaches could fire. People
did you know? THIS i didn't not Have Bobby betrino's
firing people left and. Right he is he thinks he.
Can apparently he didn't like the. Defense, no it doesn't
sound like. It but, now who's he got lined up
to take their? PLAY i don't. Know Bobby patrino available
(01:02:44):
this time of. Year he's in. Room he's, fired as
you guys, said three defensive assistants just one day after
being named interim head, coach and one of them the defensive. Coordinator,
Correct Travis williams out, Again who's? Who adams? Out Marcus woodson.
OUT i guess he's going to promote. Position guys, Up,
well it's a. Curator evidently that's one of those. Deals
(01:03:06):
they obviously had problems with each, other and then later
they become your boss and you've got a bad relationship with.
Them that's what it sounds. Like, also Now i'm the. Boss,
Right you're, right, men you didn't get along in the first? Play, yeah, Right.
Greg i'm afraid that violates The Malcolm street seniors advice to,
me be careful not to offend the alligator till you
get across the.
Speaker 13 (01:03:26):
River.
Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
Right Tyreek hill's agent says the surgery went well and
he will play in twenty twenty, six hopefully not for The. Dolphins,
no it doesn't say. That they didn't say. That, uh
and so it looks like even though it was, horrible
they think it the surgery went well enough that he'll
play again in twenty twenty.
Speaker 6 (01:03:48):
Six, yeah And i've looked at this play quite. Long
why it's, well people are, saying And i'm wanted y'all's.
Opinion is this a dirty tackle by The Jets joy
he grabs Uh Tyreek hill's, leg and some people say
(01:04:11):
he gave to rolled, him and BUT i do want
to point out that it's it's actually the other. Leg
it's actually the other leg that gets jacked, Up so
it's not the data roll. Legs but he plants because
of because he's being held by the. Leg Tyreek hill plants.
Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
The leg that gets.
Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
Destroyed he plants it in such an, odd terrible.
Speaker 2 (01:04:32):
Way watching guys want to watch.
Speaker 10 (01:04:34):
IT i.
Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
DON'T i don't want to watch.
Speaker 6 (01:04:36):
It the one thing that made me, say wait a
second is that THE dB Malakai moore that he almost
finishes the role out, there you're way out of bounds
and he it's like he finished the role even more
once he was out of.
Speaker 5 (01:04:50):
Bounds and so that to me, says, well was he kind.
Speaker 6 (01:04:53):
Of partially responsible because that leg plant and the one
that was. Planted he's trying to make, coach so he's
trying to make a.
Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
Play it's his foot he had. Wrong that's just the
way it. Is by the, way did you.
Speaker 6 (01:05:12):
Because he played For alabama doesn't mean that you have
to SAY i didn't even know. THAT i don't even
know anything about, sports, you BUT i was asking. Y'all
everything's going full.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Speed It's Tyreek. Hill if you can get a hand on,
him you better grab.
Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
Him he's pretty, quick and then you better get to
roll him. In and even when you're, bounds.
Speaker 2 (01:05:29):
You Got we're supposed to stop and Go wait a,
Minute according To Sonny, houstin we. Should. Yeah, so by the,
way did you coach soccer? YESTERDAY i? Did how did it?
Speaker 10 (01:05:40):
Go?
Speaker 5 (01:05:42):
Boy we're in a mid season?
Speaker 10 (01:05:44):
Slump.
Speaker 5 (01:05:44):
Guys, oh.
Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
It's just it would help if y'all got the same
kids on the same, team.
Speaker 5 (01:05:50):
Right and team unity and. All that's.
Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Tough how can you build a program and they keep
changing your players with the transfer, Point, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
We were the stars this time. AROUND i asked him
WHAT i? Want they change your name a new group every, time.
Speaker 6 (01:06:03):
And then so if you, go let's go flap your Wings,
EAGLES a girl on the other teams would be LIKE
i was An.
Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
Eagle last, week while AM i lie flapping my way.
Speaker 6 (01:06:10):
Right so we got to pick new names each, week The,
stars AND i was, like Shooting, stars, GO i hope you.
Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Weren't can you say?
Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
Shooting and they. Didn't they didn't like that. Either they.
Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
Didn't They their reaction was the same as y'alls just
now and they were, like we know we're not doing
the fist in the air and your knee goes up
to like you're.
Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
Flying you as you as a, coach you're now. Too
and Two.
Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
Ruby had a rough game last.
Speaker 6 (01:06:36):
Night i'm Really i'm really just whatever Team ruby is,
on that's the TEAM i want to.
Speaker 5 (01:06:40):
Win So i'll, cheat you, Know i'll be like new ball,
ball throw the ball in towards.
Speaker 6 (01:06:45):
Her you want her to score so, bad, GUYS i
saw myself in her last night so. Much she wanted
to score so, bad and she got denied like four
times in a.
Speaker 10 (01:07:00):
Row she's.
Speaker 6 (01:07:01):
Crying she's now she's playing soccer while, crying running around,
crying and she stuck it. OUT i was so proud of,
her stayed on and she just kept. Trying AND i was, like,
girl that's the most important.
Speaker 5 (01:07:12):
Part number.
Speaker 6 (01:07:12):
One just keep don't give, up keep. Trying and you were,
upset but you were looking in the rearview mirror and
you were upset about what plays. Happened but you got
to look forward and that's what you, did and you
stopped crying and you didn't stop.
Speaker 5 (01:07:24):
PLAYING i was so proud of. You way to, Go
way to, Go way to.
Speaker 6 (01:07:26):
Go And i'm just trying to nail that in because
because it can, be you can the fun can be
over very quickly and then all of a, Sudden i'm
not having fun. ANYMORE i don't want to play soccer.
ANYMORE i don't want to DO i don't want to
play sports. Anymore sports teaches you a, lot it, does
and that was a big lesson for her last, night
to do not give up and really don't let it
bother you that much so that you're crying because you
(01:07:47):
missed a, goal because now you can't score a goal
later because you're crying about the one you missed.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
Earlier you got to learn how to, play and SO i.
Speaker 16 (01:07:55):
Said quick, crying you gotta quit that, crying.
Speaker 10 (01:08:01):
And it was.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Great good. Job remember you're shooting, star my. Star that's.

Times i've cried physically and cried inside, yes, yes and she,
SAID i want to talk to you about a man Named.
Speaker 6 (01:08:15):
GREG i remember one time losing a football game is
WHEN i played back in the. Y, yes running back the.
Speaker 5 (01:08:23):
Mosquito, yes they called me the mosquito because that's so.
Powerful that was.
Speaker 6 (01:08:27):
It and we lost and it was a bad. Loss
we just got destroyed the whole. Game AND i get
in the car And i'm crying in the car on
the way, home and my brother's, like are you crying
because your hurts or are you crying because you SAID
i was, Like i'm crying because my knee.
Speaker 2 (01:08:40):
HURTS i was.
Speaker 5 (01:08:43):
Crying BECAUSE i WAS i was like limp and, pretending
BUT i was like really just, crying crying.
Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
Yeah and brothers are always there for.
Speaker 5 (01:08:52):
You oh, Yeah, luke really really. Supportive but it's life, lessons.
Guys you learned so much sports really teaching so much
more than just the rules of the.
Speaker 2 (01:09:02):
Game what you were teaching her last night is so
much bigger than church, soccer so much. Bigger. Yeah, sports
it teaches you how to deal with failure because you're gonna.
Speaker 5 (01:09:11):
Fall a, Lot you're gonna lose a. Lot we'll be.
Back it's not. Winning learn it's not win and, lose it's.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
Winning. Learn that's it, good that's.
Speaker 12 (01:09:21):
Good this is The Rick Burgess, show the man who
shaved thirty minutes off his last road. Trip Rick burges.

This day now where we get all this stuff coming
out us on reels and things like. This so AND
i really like the Song The ride From David Allan.
Coe you LIKE i love that. Song you don't like that? Song?
YEAH i just LOVE i like. It, yeah you don't love.
It what was the stategude you had about? IT i
don't love, it BUT i like. It BUT i, mean
why did you have an attitude about, it just like
(01:12:48):
it was a great song. EVER i love this. Song
it's a great sat. Song, ever who said, that you
KNOW i? Did this is what he. Does you just
get an attitude sometimes it's not just you know you even.
Speaker 5 (01:13:00):
In a lot nobody said it was the greatest song.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
THIS i thought that was the greatest song.
Speaker 5 (01:13:06):
Ever he, said you liked the?
Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
Song he, said probably the greatest song. Ever this is
what he.
Speaker 7 (01:13:12):
Does so.
Speaker 2 (01:13:16):
Did he write the? Song because the guy saw like
an old? MAN i, mean Is David Allen cole even
looked it's just like somebody's. Granddad, now don't look at,
yeah so h and he maybe this may be an
old video is.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
Alive, yes he's eighty.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Six so MAYBE i don't want to put you on the.
Spot i'm not telling you to try to find it
BECAUSE i don't know where it. Was it came up
like a real you did grant. Song, EVER i didn't say.
That he tries to say in this interview that he
conjured up the ghost Of Hank. Williams why it was
like high on cocaine and, drinking and he, SAID i
(01:13:53):
started doing a seance and started like screaming and, cussing
and tell him to show. Himself and he claims he
looks and saw an app is a he, said apparition
apparition Of Hank Williams senior and A fedora no shirt
on sitting on the. Couch AND i go back to
too much drugs AND i right and and said that
(01:14:15):
That then he then you think then he couldn't See hank,
anymore but he Felt hank's spirit come help him write the.
Song and the things he wrote in that. Song he
claims that he got directly from From, hank that they
had this experience. Together that's. Ridiculous, Well i'm not SAYING
(01:14:36):
i agree that were that Did. David there's something to you.
Know did y'all have a run? In y'all have a
run in back in the? Day, No but what If
Dale junior download said? It would you believe?
Speaker 24 (01:14:47):
It?
Speaker 2 (01:14:47):
Then i'm just saying he thought that's what he. Saw
but you heard? Him you know. Nothing DO i think
That Hank williams came back to him and help him
run a?
Speaker 17 (01:14:54):
Song?
Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
No CAN i tell you something of all the things
THAT i THOUGHT i would bring up that would Get
greg kind of? Annoyed David Allen. Cole this one you liked.
HIM i. Did, huh wrote out, too that's not it
isn't not. Him, no, Oh steve ROW i confused, him
And steve also has a few problems substance abuse. Itself. Yeah,
Yeah i'm simply saying.
Speaker 11 (01:15:16):
That now you're trying to justify what you like it
you like, it he's making a tar down move. ON
i thought worry about.
Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
IT i thought it was kind of bizarre That David
Allen Colevi Allen, coe and you think he wrote the
best song.
Speaker 22 (01:15:29):
THAT i.
Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
DO i like that, SONG i, do BUT i. DON'T
i don't don't think it's the greatest about now that
you come find out of ghost wrote? It, now that's
so is the guy was being, interviewed so he didn't
he conjured up. Hank, okay that's even. Better all, Right
so the GUY i saw was just who wrote the,
Song so that Wasn't David Allen cole so he didn't write.
Speaker 7 (01:15:50):
It.
Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
Okay the guy who wrote don't know Everyone, well they
look pretty confident on this. One But i'm to.

Did try to tell you they said That Gary gentry
is also cited as the primary. Songwriter, OKAY i don't
want SO i guess WHO i saw the interview Was Gary.
Speaker 5 (01:16:27):
Gentry, okay so you know Of Montgomery Gentry Different gentry.
Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
Different that was a, Joke, Okay so SO i guess
every time he did in the, Helicopter Christ, Greg who
are you mad At Jerry gentry Or david Allen. Cole
NOW i don't, KNOW i don't know, whoever But jerry
claiming and conjured Of, Hank, Well jerry, GENTLEMAN i would
do Appreciate hank showing up shirtless, though right he, said
look down there Was Hank williams sitting on that couch over.
(01:16:56):
There he had he was shirtless and had a fodora,
on and he, said and then he. Didn't he AND
i had a conversation AND i wrote this. Song SO
i guess it Was jerry GENTRY i saw being an
interview because it didn't look Like David Allen.
Speaker 5 (01:17:07):
Oh look at.
Speaker 6 (01:17:08):
This When David Allen coe was performing the song at

Everything so you're saying that the banded announcer FOR a
AND m is always hacking on the opposing.
Speaker 23 (01:36:20):
Team this was every time last year when they were
when they came To Alabama. STATE i mean he literally
their band goes on the field, first and he was
the highly offensive.

Speaker 7 (01:47:33):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:47:34):
Oh, yes do you THINK i? Should? Yeah this?
Speaker 10 (01:47:37):
Goal what it?
Speaker 2 (01:47:38):
Is have you ever found? Yourself have you ever found
yourself caught in a group text and you don't have everybody's? Contact,
andy how you? Doing, yeah he's going to join in
BECAUSE i guarantee you he has with the people he
runs with. You you find yourself in group chats that
were not group chats but group text that you that
(01:47:59):
you know you're. In and then if you ever had
a buddy pull you into a group text and you
don't know who you don't you don't know who's in,
there who's looking? Around so So I'm i'm. IN i
noticed it and it's you, know the person THAT i
know put me in. THERE i trust very, Much BUT
i don't know everybody else in, there And i'm in.
(01:48:21):
IT i don't know, WHETHER i, mean SHOULD i be in?
Speaker 7 (01:48:24):
It was it a?
Speaker 2 (01:48:25):
Mistake did my friend accidentally bring me in? It don't
don't be. Funny it's my, Motto, yes be careful when you,
start very, careful which is kind of our nature to.
SAY i kind of want to have this zinger of
the day because like when we do our hunting group,
text we spend more time hacking with each other than
we do hunting or seeing who can have the funniest. Line.
(01:48:47):
Yeah so meanwhile the deer walks. Back we're looking at a.
Phone i'm video in. It So i'm in, there And
i'm you, Know I'm i'm. Noticing oh, Wow so two
days in a, Row i'm in, there AND i begin
to notice that that people begin to refer to somebody
which is not a very common name in the group.
TEXT i keep seeing the Name dabbo being thrown. Around,
(01:49:10):
wow and in your, Group, DAD i Think i'm in
a group text With, Dabo swingy.
Speaker 26 (01:49:17):
And uh And.
Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
Clemson. Tu lately his texts have been, really really kind of. Angry,
yeah And clemson, fans, y'all don't don't start giving me.
Instructions i'm not Gonna he's already got the painters and
the fat people after. Him what are the odds That
i'm in a group text that there's another person Named?
Dabbo did he ask if he retired of? Winning? What
(01:49:44):
what there?
Speaker 28 (01:49:45):
Is?
Speaker 2 (01:49:46):
Yeah there's only? One so AM i now in? Age
is somebody Put which was a huge mistake on my friend's,
part of, course.
Speaker 11 (01:49:52):
Uh to to bring me in ab and is he
joined in on any of the conversations that are taking
place or is he just.
Speaker 24 (01:50:00):
Have you noticed how when you're on a text like? That,
now see this is proof of What i'm about to.
Say when you're on a text like, that you judge
everything you say by whoever the huncho is on the
group like like like you would say, stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
But you got to think What dabbo like, This i'm
on this big group text with The gaither. HOMECOMING i
SHOULDN'T i shouldn't have got so comparing group text with.
Him but now but see everything you say is like
what Will bill think about?
Speaker 3 (01:50:37):
This?
Speaker 2 (01:50:39):
Right, WELL I i want to Make dabbo proud that
kind of. Thing, Okay i'm documenting that the person THAT
i think Is debo at one time has put an
emoji of the of this the muscle thing he did. That,
unfortunately yes you think, alight here's WHAT i want you
to do. Here and the person that put me in, there,
(01:51:01):
though is like the kind of person that if HE
i need to be, careful if he gets upset about,
IT i would be. GRAVELY i, mean you know there's
some people that are your friends that you're, LIKE i
don't want to be on the bad side of. Them
and then there's people you don't really. Care but but
this would be one of.
Speaker 11 (01:51:14):
THOSE i don't want to be on text this and
see if he, Replies, Hey, dabbo good luck Against Belichick.
Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
Saturday say that is that who he's? Playing? Yeah they
Play North. Carolina what if it's not? Him and then
he'll know what are you talking? About? NOW i want
to warn you that there are seven other people in. There,
oh then now you, know did you know their contacts
or just they all have? NUMBERS i see HALF i
know their. Contacts half are just. Numbers there might be
(01:51:42):
some other coaches you remember speaking you were in that
group that kept inviting you to. Golf knew who that?
Was wait a, MINUTE i THINK i MEANT i Think
i'll also See jet's Legend marty lines in, here But
i'm Probably i'm in. Here how'd you get in?
Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
That?
Speaker 2 (01:51:59):
OH i think you by? Mistake, YEAH i guarantee you
that's who it is because he used to work for Really, okay,
yeah that's what it.
Speaker 11 (01:52:08):
IS i have a friend Of dabos that just text and,
Said i'm gonna find out if this is Really.
Speaker 2 (01:52:12):

Speaker 8 (01:52:27):
THAT i.
Speaker 2 (01:52:27):
Know i'm trying to get. HIM i really want to
ask that because you you bring up a good question
on if you're pulled into a group text that you
don't know who's in? There why are you in this?
Group is? It is it bad? FORM i still don't
just say, hey COULD i get a roll call in?
Speaker 13 (01:52:40):

Speaker 2 (01:53:01):

this homecoming. List everybody will answer Except Sandy, Patty Amy,
Graham Vince. Gill, yeah they won't, answer, right and so

constant complaint that of practice session's disturbing. Guests in, response
A german instrument maker Named Otto kleine, unveiled unveiled or,
unveiled the silent, trumpet a brass horn built with double
(02:01:44):
walled body and a hidden cork line. Chamber instead of projecting,
outward the sound was absorbed inside the, instrument leaving only
a faint buzz for the player to. Hear musicians described
the sensation as. Eerie the trumpet vibrated in their hands
like a normal, horn but to nearby ears it was
little more.
Speaker 2 (02:02:03):
Than a mosquito's.
Speaker 24 (02:02:04):
Home some orchestras began carrying entire trunks of silent, instruments, trumpets,
cornetts even trombones modified with the same muffling. System the
fad was short. Lived players complained the damp and tone
threw off their, ambushure and critics argued the instruments lacked
the resistance of a normal brass. Instrument by the nineteen,
(02:02:26):
thirties the silent trumpet was relegated to novelty, status a
strange solution to a noisy. Problem, today more than a
dozen collections are on display in, museums including The smithsonian

Speaker 2 (02:08:59):
Him last here it's mail. Mail let me be sure we.
Clarify i'm a little scared of.
Speaker 24 (02:09:05):
This in the late eighteen, nineties When paris was experimenting
with carrier pigeons for long distance mail, delivery one government
engineer proposed an aquatic solution for the local. Mail inspired
by the ornamental fish kept in the fountains At Luxembourg.
Gardens he claimed koi could be trained to swim along
(02:09:25):
designated canals carrying, small waterproof pouches of. Letters this promised a,
silent low cost postal network.
Speaker 2 (02:09:32):
Gliding beneath the city.
Speaker 24 (02:09:33):
Streets trials were conducted in narrow tanks near the sin
where fish were conditioned to follow lighted paths and rewarded
with food at drop off. Stations early reports praised the.
Idea observers swore the postal fish could deliver a note
across two hundred yards of water in under five. Minutes
the engineer even envisioned glass covered canals Where parisians could
(02:09:57):
watch their correspondence dark pass on its way across, town
but reality intruded. Quickly the koi often became, distracted doubled,
back or stopped, altogether fascinated by reflections and passing. Shadows
predatory eels in the city's waterways posed another, problem occasionally
feeding on the koi and destroying the correspondence in the.
(02:10:19):
Process after a year of failed experiments and considerable laughter
from the, press the koi deliveries were, abandoned leaving only
newspaper articles from that time and a handful of tiny
mail patches on display at The French National.
Speaker 2 (02:10:34):
Hatchery Is THIS bs or be? Tripping what About i'll

Speaker 24 (02:13:05):
Right, yawning far from being a simple, reflex was once
considered one of the body's most reliable.
Speaker 2 (02:13:11):
Ways to regulate.
Speaker 24 (02:13:12):
Vision early physicians believed that the wide stretch of the
jaw physically pulled on the muscles around the, eyes improving
focus and widening peripheral. Site they even recommended deliberate yawning
exercises for hunters and soldiers before going into the, field
claiming it sharpened eye sight for several minutes at a.
Time in the eighteen, Hundreds french scientists took this even
(02:13:33):
further by connecting yawning to. Posture they argued that the
expansion of the rib cage during a yawn forced the
spine into, alignment releasing tension that dulled reaction. Time by
the early nineteen, hundreds yawning had even been linked with.
Athletics coaches encouraged sprinters to yawn deliberately on the starting,
line believing a prime both oxygen intake and nervous. Reflexes
(02:13:58):
newspapers at the time reported the yawning habit as an
edge that helped track stars shave time off their.

crawling with live. Maggots oh here's how it's. Made cassu
margo is intentionally exposed outdoors so flies can lay their

Speaker 2 (02:28:55):
Yeah, yeah And greg's too. Mean that's. Correct here we
go a.
Speaker 24 (02:29:00):
Fact in the mid eighteen, hundreds as literacy spread and
classrooms filled with future clerks and, accountants inventors looked for
ways to make handwriting more. Efficient one of the strangest
attempts was the writing, glove a supple leather glove with
a goosequill nib mounted directly at the tip of the index.
(02:29:20):
Finger the user dipped that tip in ink and wrote
as naturally as pointing the, glove supposedly eliminating the need
to grip a pen for long. Hours advertisements claimed the
glove reduced hand cramps and allowed continuous script at double the.
Speed demonstrations In london drew curious, crowds where clerks traced
(02:29:41):
elegant letters simply by dragging their fingers across. Parchment some
models even included detachable nibs for different writing styles, italics,
cursive and ledger. Forms students were told it would marry
the hand to the art of, script promising faster notes during.
Lectures the, idea, however was plagued with. Problems ink dripped,
(02:30:02):
uncontrollably straining staining sleeves and, papers and fine control was.
Difficult many users ended up smearing rather than. Writing teachers
complained that classrooms were filled with inky. Fingerprints within a,
decade the writing glove faded into, obscurity remembered only as
an eccentric curiosity in the long march toward fountain pens and.
Speaker 2 (02:30:23):
TYPEWRITERS b s or be? True mm details there's two. Truths,
yeah that's that's.
Speaker 5 (02:30:34):
BELIEVABLE i buy.
Speaker 2 (02:30:35):
THAT i, SAY, bs IT'S. Bs you just. Guessed he
just went against, you but you got the wine of.
Us gotfeated liberal, liberal so andy you still get credit
(02:30:57):
because three out of four got it. Wrong thank. You,
OKAY i thought it was. True, YEP i did not
because you.
Speaker 10 (02:31:02):
Know WHAT i.
Speaker 2 (02:31:03):
Mean let me tell you about because we.
Speaker 11 (02:31:06):
Did let me tell you, No, no there was a
moment in the same thing as, yes this is HOW
i got through.
Speaker 2 (02:31:12):
College that this is HOW i got through. College but
one hundred percent on. This, okay here we. GO i
was the only one who Picked georgia Against alabama. TOO

Did you've got, one didn't you completely moved past or split?
(02:31:34):
Second but, anyway this mind over, here And i'm pointing
To Andy. Andrews, yep that mind right. Here don't ever
think that this story sounds. Stupizarre you're, Okay and don't
ever think that there's no way somebody would make this
up because too many. Details but BECAUSE i got. IT
i watched him AND i started ABOUT i was be,
(02:31:54):
true and then all of a SUDDEN i s would
be in staring at, him AND i, thought he's, perfectly
perfectly willing and perfectly capable of making this entire thing,
up and it could that could live.
Speaker 18 (02:32:06):
In that head is?
Speaker 5 (02:32:07):
Fine so the whole thing was made. Up there wasn't
like just one part of it that was.
Speaker 2 (02:32:10):
Fake, no the whole thing was made.
Speaker 10 (02:32:12):
Up.
Speaker 24 (02:32:12):

Of Wisdom, harbor you don't normally think of. Joy But
Joy read is about to make a statement and this
is something oither that we should be concerned. About we
(02:37:11):
should be Concerned.
Speaker 6 (02:37:12):
Joy, yeah she's warning of the DANGEROUS maga plans and
their fascist ideologies and these are the things that they
want to take us back.
Speaker 5 (02:37:22):
To this is from a podcast Called Something. Talks is
what it says on the.
Speaker 6 (02:37:27):
Mugs it does have some music underneath. It so if
you hear, that that's actually part of the. Clips you,
know some shows do. That but this is What Joy
reid is warning us about the Fascist maga, plans dangerous
plans For america that they're going to take us back.
Speaker 5 (02:37:44):
To if you guys want to hear it, right is.
Speaker 22 (02:37:46):
That if you go back before the twentieth, century there
were no income, taxes there were no regulations on. Business
you could earn as much money as you, want leave
one hundred percent of it to your children with no.
Speaker 28 (02:37:56):
Taxes that's the.
Speaker 22 (02:37:57):
World they want. Back and to get it, back need
society to. Change they need people to be less, Modern
they need people to want fewer.
Speaker 2 (02:38:04):
Things what is she talking? About everybody? Quick what everybody paying?
It we must stop The maga people and stop them,
now because they want to take us back to when
there was no income tax no government regulations on your.
Businesses you weren't burden and you actually made as much
(02:38:25):
money as you wanted and you could leave it to
your children with no. Taxes what are we going to
do to stop these? People? Yeah god? Forbid does she hear? Herself?
Yeah oh, Man i'm telling, you and she goes you
think that's. Something your cupboard's gonna be full of, food
and you're not gonna you're not gonna be sweating every,
month and whether you're gonna be able to pay the.
Bills that's what these people want to take you back.
(02:38:47):
To they're gonna take you away from government, regulation over,
taxation over, over over, everything and they're gonna give you
maximum liberty so you can have the majority of your
own money and you're gonna make as much as you
want and even leave some for your kids with no.
Taxes they must be. Stopped what we need is more,
(02:39:07):
government more. Regulation we need more, money we need to
be in control of. More we need to take more
to stop the.
Speaker 5 (02:39:15):
Fascism we need bigger, government more thing to stop the.
Speaker 6 (02:39:19):
Fascism and just because we're not just a bunch of
white guys saying this because we're gonna where the white
people gonna rise up or. Whatever Byron donald's congressman From,
Florida black congressman From.
Speaker 5 (02:39:31):
Florida he chimes.
Speaker 6 (02:39:32):
In he, says, yes we don't want income tax you're, Correct, Joy,
yes we want less regulation on.
Speaker 5 (02:39:39):
Businesses, joy that's.
Speaker 6 (02:39:40):
Correct, yes we want a meritocracy that means you make
what you get based on your merit and the chance
to earn what you can and the ability to build
a legacy for your. Children and know this is not
some fascist. Agenda this is quite literally The american dream
that she is pooh poohing.
Speaker 2 (02:39:57):
On, wow this is we've been saying. Along they don't
even know the definition of a. Fascist they're seeing people
who don't want government intrusion in their life are, fascist
and those that want, more bigger government are not. Fascist
letting you live your own, life that's. Fascist what is
(02:40:19):
the opposite?
Speaker 5 (02:40:20):
You they call us fascist while literally listing things that stop.
Speaker 11 (02:40:25):
Fascist which tells you they don't even believe what they're.
Spewing some are so looney they, do but a lot
don't because that's how they make. Money controversy draw. CONFUSION
i want, to, HONESTLY i want to. Know just take
whatever political affiliation you may or may not.
Speaker 2 (02:40:44):
Have don't we all? Bipartisan don't we all think what
Joy ree said was just? Crazy so are You is
there anybody out there that wouldn't that is against no income,
tax less regulation on your, business earning as much you,
want in leaving your money to your children and not
having to pay taxes on. That do any of you
(02:41:06):
see those things if they were to be implemented again
like before the twentieth, century anybody wouldn't like that if
we could make that.
Speaker 6 (02:41:18):
Work And, joy you are absolutely going to give your.
Kids you're going to pass on your wealth to your. Kids,
joy don't act like you're not going to do.
Speaker 2 (02:41:29):
That, oh she's gonna take every cut that's, available right.
Speaker 6 (02:41:32):
Exactly but evil people Are that's what evil people. Do, No,
joy that's what people do that care about their. Kids
AND i hope you can pass on some stuff to
your kids, too AND i hope that they.
Speaker 2 (02:41:42):
Don't what if everybody the same books you, do, Right
what if, everybody, everybody no matter, who could minimize their,
taxation not just the influential and the. Wealthy what if
everybody could do? That which is, yeah which is what
you just told us we shouldn't want look right off Text.
Nation this is a great. One and this is someone
(02:42:02):
saying we're basically being told that we should fear any
group that wants to force freedom on. Everybody, yeah and
that's Something, yeah and that's.
Speaker 11 (02:42:11):
SAY i don't know who did this, real but it's.
Awesome it's a voiceover of somebody that's working a blue collar,
job and they're, LIKE i never see the government in my.
LIFE i wake, UP i go to, WORK i come,
HOME i hang out with the, FAMILY i feed the.
FAMILY i wake up the next, DAY i go to.
WORK i never see the. Government but when it's time
to pay taxes AND i have to give them, half
(02:42:32):
when they want, regulation suddenly the government shows. Up it,
SAYS i, KNOW i never really did anything for, you
but you've got to prove to me that you earned
what you. Earn you got to give us what we're
supposed to. Get and they don't really answer to. Us
and it's just that's what she. Wants, well Most, americans
they just do what they do and they don't look
at the government for.
Speaker 2 (02:42:53):
Anything got it's the fascists that have the ruling class
living differently than everybody. Else that's who you, Are, Joy
you're the fascist and and you, know and one of
the most brilliant things that fascists do is to convince
