got pictures. Good night, we got a.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Lot, got a lot.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Speedy, speedy, speedy. What I think something's happening. I think
I'm starting to understand secondhand embarrassment. I think I think
it's awful. I'm being drunk, got it, I know what
it is. I just enjoy it. Right, that's the difference.
I think that's it. I'm not the part that I
don't don't like it. I'm just starting to run. I'm
(03:03):
just starting to understand. Just see it.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
At the moment, I flee, y'all lean in right right,
I okay, that's it. I'm done, y'all, Like, give me.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
More let me rewind this and see it one more time.
By the way, I found out over the weekend. And
my wife is not comfortable me throwing by people who
are guides are founding fathers makes her nervous. She goes,
you need on now, don't do that at an archaeologist.
I didn't think it was ever going to stop, and
I kept throwing stuff in right in the middle of it,
(03:31):
and I became Gerald Cage. Now over here is this
where y'all found quil He would go, huh, and I'm stop,
you've done it around later makes her nervous, All right,
you do it. Thomas Jefferson's got skin cancers. Hey, hey,
(03:55):
Thomas Jefferson. Have I looked at I mean, I understand
sticking to your role, but we're you're in modern times.
Modern we can look at that skin cancer.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
I thought you could focus on You're not hearing what
he's saying. I'm looking.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Oh, you could have got past it. I don't think
it was my all.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Did you tell him?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Well?
Speaker 6 (04:13):
I did hear shared when he when he was telling
me about you know, Monticello and that we need to
go by there too and all that, and I said,
I want to have that looked at.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
And sure, he's like, so what.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
Does your buddy say about it?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Like taking over this part of the dour go talk
go from here, go talk to Ben Franklin. He's he
seems to be pretty smart him look at it. But
uh but anyway, now the thing that's gonna get you
and we'll talk about it in a minute when I
do recast. Gosh, Greg, of course you would have loved it.
(04:50):
You would have loved it. Is this We went to
James Madison's place there the author.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
That's that's what you came back with.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Well it's called something monte pillar or something like that. Monticello.
Now that's that's Thomas Jefferson Monticello. But anyway, so, uh
so when when yeah, PILLI Pillier, that's it. So when
you just went and you so when you go there, now, Speedy,
this is you got to get ready. You got to
get ready because you look here. I wish I could
(05:19):
have been with Speedy and and sure it went Greg
at one time. IM sure. He said, would you just
rather speed come instead of me?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
You know?
Speaker 1 (05:26):
And I said no, I said, but I can't, I
can't get here just for just for now, I said,
you wouldn't mind who was just here with this right now? Yeah,
so anyway, he ain't going to dinner with this what
I wanted to see me. But but anyway, so at
American Village we have this to a degree. By the way,
I want everybody know an American Village. I let everybody
know they're in Virginia. They ain't got nothing on American Village.
(05:48):
For the fact that we're pretending we're there. I actually
was there.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
Well, but anyway, besides that, right, but that you know
how we have actors that that.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Greg I'm never indy commitment like that. Oh really, they
won't even let you bring them into modern time. And
if I could have been like when I would do
things like and you do things like where, Yeah, we're
from Birmingham, Alabama. I'm not familiar with that. Are you
talking about? You know, the Yazoo Land Company and and
that that that land we have that we're trying to
you know that it's Georgia. And I'm like, oh, well,
(06:22):
they're not gonna come out of character.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Talk to so they're a mascot. They would come out
of you.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Guys are gonna be one of our twenty four states,
you know, we're gonna continue to try to maybe one
day we can get to fifty. We hope. And I'm like, oh,
you're going I got that. So we get to fifty
by the way, you get there. So and because they
went from let's all remember too, I'm like, oh, wait
a minute, they're acting like their ghost.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Oh, and they won't come out.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
They will not come out of character the whole time.
And they have the talk going and and like Thomas Jefferson,
instead of just telling me to go over where they're
doing some archaeology, had talked bet heve he'd been discovering,
like he was inventing archaeology, which apparently he played some
key role he learned about that. But but I'm like, no, no,
we already got all that.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Okay, I get it.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
But none of Thomas Jefferson was Thomas Jefferson. James Monroe
was jameson Rowe, James Madison was very much James Madison.
And they're really really smart, and they know a lot
about our country, and they know about the characters they
are portraying. But it went further than that. I think
they think they're them. Oh yeah, that they're that method
And and I will just say at one point.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
So you think they take it home with him.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
I got a thing with James Madison that got a
little comfortable. He and I nearly went in it over
over something current or was it something happened back in there.
I had to remind James Madison that you know, this
lady's with me. What now, James Madison grig Maybe he
(08:00):
was in characters. Maybe the real James Madison was he
was forty back, so he's just trying to pull his
shirt later or somebody was telling us says, you know,
he was the Ultimate Bachelor for forty and I went, oh, say, yeah,
maybe he's acting.
Speaker 7 (08:12):
That guy also plays Bill Clinton in another reaction?
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Now that was that was the that that one you
know he is over in Arkansas, and then that one
he actually doesn't just hit on your wife. He gives
her his number.
Speaker 8 (08:24):
But you know, hey, James, don't know what happened to
seventeen homes big guy, but twenty five, you know, be hitting.
Speaker 9 (08:35):
Them on a water.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
A little research on you that I'm not mistaken you
about you about five to one ten in my mind
is twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah, yeah, he must not know about me.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Hey, James, Madison. I've taken dumps bigger than you.
Speaker 8 (08:49):
Oh wow, that is that when it got a little
bit shouldn't you be right in the constitution?
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Right, Yeah, it's pretty important. Get to it. Yeah, won't
you get it in your office where you spend a
lot of time? Apparently?
Speaker 3 (09:03):
I know you're in character, but I need to know.
Do you understand me? Right?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
You didn't go you'd be able to go find Dolly.
Well we'll be back more to come right after this,
all right. So, uh, I didn't know this. You know,
we being Southerners, you know, we get a lot of
(09:27):
flat Sherry and I being from Alabama in Virginia this
past weekend, we became kind of like low local folklore.
We understand you the two from Alabama, Yes we are
so so.
Speaker 8 (09:40):
Anyway, when they got in a fight with James Madison,
yeah James character.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Are you the one that pushed James Madison? But but
the U but the Yeah, it was like they couldn't
believe we were there. Okay, so tell y'all here, okay, good,
yeah you're staying over so okay, good, where y'all from Alabama?
Speaker 3 (09:57):
What you know?
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Because most people were, you know, a couple hours away
or something like that. So so, you know, we had
a great time. We'll talk more about that coming up.
But you know, we catch a lot of flat you know,
a lot of Southern stereotypes. I can't believe that. And uh,
you know one of the things we've noticed, you Northerners
don't have a lot to y'all got your own problems.
Uh tell me what stake, Crispy, do you know this
(10:20):
because you put them, you put the story. I'll ask
Adler and Greg what state do you think on October first? Well,
finally ban marriage with first cousins, not second finally, finally
just now doing it October twenty five, Mississippi. Sorry speedy, No,
(10:41):
see see there, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Jo
I'm gonna go I'm gonna try it. Since this officer,
it must not be an obvious one. I'm gonna say, Delaware,
you know what, not a bad guess. Connecticut. Wow, Connecticut,
that was to be my second guest. Connecticut, by way,
some people I know some.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
People Connecticut I will give be my second guest.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
By the way, Bob Kerry, our syndicator is from Connecticut,
and you will hear from me. He will hear from
Connecticut has finally stepped up Connecticut that you would have
it said. I didn't believe all the people rushing to
get married before all the first.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Hurt, because.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Especially if your first cousin is fine. But I mean,
but the so state law had already banned people from
marrying a parent. That's good, right on the gate.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Done that nice.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
By the way, I know it's not blood. I think
we had and we had a story last week. I
know it's not blood can but I'm sorry. If you're
a step parent, come on now, I mean, don't hook
up one of you step kids. Well no, we don't
and we've seen that and I know I know it's
but that's not good line you've taken on a parental role. Yeah, okay,
(11:54):
that story we had years ago, Well, we had one
last week. You had one there last week. It was
so it was so bad I couldn't even I couldn't
even do the store.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
That man and lady fell in love with each other
and they didn't know there were brother and s.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Oh yeah, yeah, you had one last week about a
step mo I'm going bad.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Oh yeah, oh yeah, I remember that.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
It was got caught in the act. Good night our husband,
like Grace, you talked about a mind trip that will
haunt you the rest of your good night? Who is that?
Oh my gosh, dad, Oh my gosh, we're casting.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
We're busted.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Who said that? Sounds like my kid? Okay, so hey, hey,
you know what, I think it's one of those things
you sitting down with the counselor and he just says,
I'm sorry. I don't think it was either. Yeah, I'm sorry,
you're too far. There's too traumatizing. I don't know that
I'm giving you money. How about this, I just take
you money. I can't get I can't think that. So anyway,
(12:48):
Uh so parent, grandparent, which is my gods put in
the world, sibling and child. They overlook first cousin, and
so they're going to they're gonna make it right. Yes,
they're gonna they're going to make it, make it They're
going to finally going birthdays. Yes it can. I you
don't believe that just watch some of these documentaries. Uh
(13:10):
but anyway, oh boy, So anyway, they are finally going
to ban it. Well, thank goodness, Connecticut. And I see
every yeah you had with his little joke in there.
Thought it was Mississippi people to West Virginia, Alabama, you know,
and so Tennessee and the hills. Now it's Connecticut. I'll
(13:30):
never guess Connectic. So Connecticut. You Connecticut people. They're so
full of yourself, they advanced. Y'all still marrying first cousins,
not anymore? Not you better go get you better marry
him or heard soon. Yeah, you got to the first
October one, it's over. If you look, there's just a
line up at the Courthou.
Speaker 8 (13:47):
Do you think about all the people in the world
and you picked your first cousin.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
I mean, there's so many people out.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
There, A lot of people, Yeah, a lot of people. There,
a lot of people. Just in your town, what town
you live in, Get out a little bit.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
You don't look look beyond.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Your yard, guys, there's something.
Speaker 8 (14:08):
Walk past the mailbox every.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
And every time we put that every time we put
that ten up for family reunion. There's other places to fish.
Covids over get out right, But no, it's not over.
But some towns, well, some towns it's called being sick.
(14:31):
Some towns, though, I mean to try to get away
from cousins. I mean, some people got a lot of
cousins I mean, you know, like Sherry's parents on both sides.
I think her mama had like ten siblings and my
dad had like her dad or dad had like eleven siblings.
Do you realize how many cousins I know, I mean
(14:52):
it's completely out of hand. I mean accidentally, especially you
get off in the third, first removed, and all of them,
well they don't count. They know what we do. I mean,
you can't. Let's just stay. Let's just stay with first
cousins maybe so last they're adopted and they're.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Still in play. Yeah, did you know what you're gonna
have to do? You have to see birthstificated on your
first date? Did you show me yours?
Speaker 1 (15:09):
I'm you have your family tree available right? Well, you
might look. We've had some speedy said, we've had some
bad stories. We have, I mean some I can't imagine.
I mean people that like, hey, we just didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
One on the brothers and sister really got me.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
Well, the thing you got to watch out for it
if if your dad done that way back. But what
you have to watch out for if if you had
a daddy that was you know, wherever he laid his
hat was his home. Oh yeah, you know when he
got and all he left us was alone. You don't
know what he's been doing out there now. You remember
the terrible story was terryll Owens toad that and he
told it, so I'm not his book or whatever that
(15:47):
he was interested in young lady. And his dad called
to the side, said, no, you can't, you can't be interested.
Oh I forgot about that. That's your sister. Easy. I mean,
nobody knew it, but his dad knew it. His dad
knew it. Yeah, that's about rolling Stone. Yeah, at least
he told her. Hey, how about that. That's why step
woun be good? Been your life at all. But let
me give you some advice about this girl across. Hey, Hey,
(16:09):
that's called dad stuff. That's right. So I unders time
for us to have a little man man. By the way,
somebody says in Alabama, cousins are strictly for practice. Okay,
that's terrible. Well you teach me how to get it's terrible.
That's awful, terrible.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Yeah, and then and then their shells. But we won't
get into it.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
She was adopted. She wasn't even the same ethnicity. Okay,
that doesn't count. She was adopted. That helps yeah, Polynesian.
It made it more exotic. You know, Look, what can
you do when you're young and dumb and you stuck
down to the river all week? Huh sot, Polynesians don't
(17:01):
talk like Asians. Okay, why we're going to boat house? No, no, adopted, adopted, adopted.
I just want to set you though. Didn't agree? Oh,
I tell you them reason he's I'm saying. That's what
I'm saying. Somebody got blocked out for a rebound? No way. Hey,
(17:23):
where's if I'd have been game? You lost? I remember
Greg kept saying I played football too.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Uh so, okay, she likes they said we're cousins.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
That's not how Polynesian people talk, by the way, Yeah
it's not. It's not. She always had fresh pineapples. So
we'll be back top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Where's Greg?
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Yeah, you're all right, let's pause just a moment. Thank
you for being part of Blaze TV. You're making a difference,
you really are. Do you realize? I mean, I mean
it's it can be dark out there, right, don't you
(18:23):
like that? With Blaze TV? A little light there in
the darkness, a little truth. You know, you never have

You can be part of shaping the future. That's BlazeTV
dot com slash rick service last night for Charlie Kirk.
That coming up next hour as we'll walk through some
(19:09):
of the highlights of that with you, unscreen phone calls
still to come and some more hate bird as well
as we move forward. You know, I think probably my
best shot here will probably be Adler. Have y'all ever
stayed in the bed and breakfast had kind of scared
(19:30):
of it? Yeah, Adler are either they're haunted.
Speaker 7 (19:33):
Yeah, but actually probably more so when I was a
kid with my parents growing up.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
They were they big on a bed and breakfast.
Speaker 7 (19:41):
I do now I do air bed and breakfast Airbnb,
but those aren't real.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Bread and breakfast does let me ask you this, does
I count?
Speaker 7 (19:48):
What it doesn't count?
Speaker 1 (19:50):
So?
Speaker 8 (19:50):
Is this like an old house and y'all have a
room and everybody's got a different room?
Speaker 3 (19:54):
You walk out a cup hall.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
But I was not mentally prepared for it, okay, because I,
in my mind down somebody's house.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
I don't like that format.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
I don't like that format in my mind. Super nice people,
but in my mind I kept picturing places that we normally.
I couldn't get hotel out of my mind. I couldn't
get it. I couldn't get an inn out of my mind.
And so I just wasn't I wasn't mainly prepared. You
chose somebody's house because at one time, at one time,
we were driving alone and I said, sure, were we
(20:23):
staying at an inn or a bed and breakfast? She goes, no,
I think it's just an end. I said, I'm pretty
sure you said bed and breakfast. And so we go
to pull sit around the table with a bunch of
strangers and eat. So we go to pull in and
there's the sign. I said, it clearly says bed and breakfast.
And we came pulling up to this really really, really
really old house that James Madison, the author of the Constitution.
(20:46):
Country's got a lot of ghost and it was. And
the first thing I think of Greg is my gosh,
strange encounters. This is when they come to get Yes,
I thought I thought Adler and I had stirred up something.
I bet there were about three old minds.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
That looks Yeah, that's on the cover of a Hounted house.
That's Amityville.
Speaker 7 (21:01):
Right, you're stay in Amityville, Transylvania.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
My goodness, revolutionary soldiers standing. You just can't see him. Yes,
so you know that.
Speaker 10 (21:10):
Look.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
I tend to when I go vacation, I tend to
go you're staying with something. I tend to go first class.
I want first class everything. Okay, so cool. So my
first thing is when I pull up, I realized that
nobody's coming to get the luggage. And all right, I'm like.
Speaker 8 (21:27):
You can't what what are you talking?
Speaker 1 (21:32):
What do we check in?
Speaker 3 (21:33):
I'm glad I'm not raining because men don't run.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
I'm like, I mean, where do we check in? So
I'm dragging some big old suitcase and stuff.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
You can't care your own luggage.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Well, usually when you're checking in somewhere, you pull up
and they come out and get your stuff bringing in
with you. George Cloon, you're you're the guy that pulls
up Like I've been to a hotel, no red car.
Speaker 3 (21:52):
I normally get my own stuff.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
You don't pull up. And when the people stand out
there and say come and that you want a nice.
Speaker 8 (21:58):
Place, I've never seen it in a place where they
got luggage.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Never, I've never. I've never stayed a place where they
come out and get stuff and white loves.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
I haven't. Wow, Really it was dream range right there
you go because Dad wouldn't let them get hit. Okay,
there's life outside the Hampton in just show y'all know,
I mean, you know, always depend on that. But anyway,
so as my go to look, I found good ye'all. Look,
(22:29):
I see what y'all get paid. Y'all can go beyond
Hampton and.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Now we stayed at nice hotels.
Speaker 8 (22:33):
I just I mean, I get my own luggage though, Yeah,
you've never pulled up, and I know.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
If somebody tries to get my luggage, I'll go like
I got it.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Like when y'all went to like I was thinking about
you bring a wheelchair. I don't mean to break it, y'all.
There's actually a lot of places where there's people that
come out and get your luggage. You have never seen
the little thing where they come out and said put
it on here, and they got that's right. Well, and
that's why y'all don't do it. Sheetah, but I can't
(23:02):
carry it back. But anyway, I thought carry on or
there was no one like it was from a motorized card.
There was no there was no contact with any human.
I'm no, I will say this. I'm checking in somewhere.
Where do you I just go in the house, shout
this one. So anyway, so I pull up that, we
go into the front door on it, and there's no
(23:24):
one in there. And all of a sudden it hits me,
which y'all all have already been saying. So I've never
been to a bed and breakfast neither. Suddenly suddenly it
dawns on me. It hits me pretty quick. We're just company, Okay,
we're coming over somebody's house. Are they just watching TV
and doing their own thing? We're company? And come onybody,
(23:45):
we're relatives. We're relatives coming to visit. And I mean,
I'm like, this is somebody's house.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
It makes a little water with that, right, you're on
vacation with strangers.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
And then it hits you like y'all said, oh, I
don't have a hotel room, I have a room. Get
a house like you, like you shift in the bed
and the whole bad school. Like it's Christmas and you
got extended family coming over. You go all, we got
you set up in this room. Just like in the movies.
It's a gas room. Did you want a guess room?
Did you have to sit around the table with strangers
and eat breakfast? I did? Really at one point other
(24:16):
people are in the house.
Speaker 8 (24:19):
I mean, I understand in the hotel you go down
for continental breakfast and and you do eat around other people.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
But normally it's the same table restaurant.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
Yeah, normally you're just spread out.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
No no, no, no, there was an auction you could
sit at the same table somebody. But we would get
over to to cedar, but in a very tiny room,
like we all ate in the room about this sights
a little bit smaller than that room, and then regular
room and discuss where what was open? This does look
nice there? You go, yeah, oh wow looking wow, that's scary.
(24:50):
So you know that's mean, Like he's mad.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
I think his eyes walk with you and he moves.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
By the way, who has that Denzel? Greg?
Speaker 3 (24:59):
G is Greg Greg?
Speaker 1 (25:11):
What? Okay? You? Oh gosh, Shell, come on man, oh
I'm trying thanking the guy's name.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
It's Frederick Douglas.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Y'all didn't know either? Yeah? What I knew? What Denzil.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
That I knew? Okay? Did I knew that?
Speaker 4 (25:42):
You? Sure?
Speaker 11 (25:43):
I did?
Speaker 3 (25:43):
I saw you.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Saying saying, well, fred Yeah, I actually thought it was
Gregg at all fairness, I thought it was Samuel Jackson. Okay,
but a lot of time, No, it's okay, it's Frederick Douglas. Okay,
it of course I expect it just goes to be
all in there hand here. There are other people in
(26:08):
the house, and Rick's got a shirt on. There's a
big topic, So let me answer this. Did you get
a relationship and kind of with the people that were
also staying there, You would see them enough to go, hey,
how are y'all doing? Y'all having a good time? Yeah
it did. Did you feel abrogated to ask them to go,
like on, excourage you with you? No? I got myself
immersing some people's lives that I went in reluctantly. No,
(26:31):
so I can live with that table like that, But
there's other people sitting right around me. That's somebody taking
a picture from there. And did you put your down
take a picture of a bedroom with the bathroom correct?
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Are you sure? Is there one bathroom in the hall
or all got like that?
Speaker 1 (26:45):
There's one downstairs which I paid it. I paid a
visit to it one time. But now you're in there
and there's only one sink that's kind of out in
the room. Then there's a tiny little toilet room. And
then they had a bathtub slash shower that you could
tell they put in that old room.
Speaker 8 (26:59):
Did you opened the bathroom door and a guy standing
there with his towel waiting his turn?
Speaker 1 (27:03):
No, okay, no, nothing like that. Did someone? We are
just company, but and there, Well, that's what was squeaky.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
That's what I mean, uncomfortable about this, uncomfortably squeaky.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Oh it was an old bad and.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
That was nice, But it's sure, what right you got
your w d F. I'd to go along way to
get here. I gotta have some double for that. Yeah,
because you don't. You don't want you beautiful wife to
start saying, oh, no, okay, not as much prophecy as
you want.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
You can't have that.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
No thin walls, thin floors, I didn't have.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
That's that. That's you know what it sounds like them.
That sounds like a horror show.
Speaker 5 (27:48):
I got the ghost to Frederick Douglas.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Fire Denzels, looking down at Sharon said on Saturday morning,
she goes, everybody in here's looking at us, squeaky town.
Speaker 8 (28:00):
That's crazy, it's funny.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
I'm so uncomfortable with your weekend.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
This is the Rick Burgess show, So bed and breakfast
I have I've never really done that before. So, like,
even on the breakfast, I realized it was an interesting
you know, because I'm trying to figure it out. So
they the host and they were wonderful people, wonderful people,
(28:31):
such such a kind family. I mean, like you see
some of their kids working. And she comes out and says,
is this fill in the blank okay for breakfast? But
I don't have a menu. So I'm thinking, could I
say no? Or is this just the way? Is this
just the way they inform you this is what we're
(28:51):
having for breakfast. Do they have another option? Like would
they say, how about a croissant? I didn't know what
to do with it. Pancakes, and I I liked what
they were making, so I was finding it was absolutely delicious.
But that was a weird thing because I'm a customed
I'm standing somewhere, I go down there for breakfast. I
got a menu. Yeah, I got a buffet or something,
not a bed and breakfast. I told his luggage. Yeah, right,
(29:12):
well I realized, No, no, y'ave already said. I didn't
realize that when you go to a bed and breakfast
your company, you're just showing out what you're sewing up
to see somebody, and they say, here's the room you're in,
and the beautiful room. You know, let's face it, the
craftsmanship of the you know. One thing they told us
about the property, and this is just a little bit
of serrus sidebar here, not serious, but interesting. They said
that when they were refurbishing this place that's been around,
(29:35):
like say since James Madison lived there. Uh, well, he
didn't live there, but this was part of his greater property.
It was a friend of his who actually built that,
built that and his kids went there and all this bitway.
But they said, when we were refurbishing everything, the stuff
that was made before and up to the Civil War
was in great shape. Everything made after the Civil War
(29:58):
in the Industrial age was was garbage. They said, up
to the Industrial age, boy, we built qualities stuff. But
when it became let's get as much of it out
there as we possibly can make it as cheap as
you can. They said that stuff would just falling part everywhere.
But they said, Civil War back good quality stuff, and
you could see some of it. It was incredible. By
(30:20):
the way, if you want to go to small town
colonial Virginia and if you speedy who love barns, it's
barn heaven. There are barns, beautiful barns everywhere. Even on
the property. There was a beautiful barn. So you go
in there and look around. I did so, and if
you add er you would have just loved you and
(30:40):
I both as handy people. There was there was a
work There was a workshop shop in that barn that
the sun had. It had every kind of till you
can think of, and it was set up so neat
and so organized. A mind. I liked that part apparently.
But this is this little walking trail's actually a four
wheeler trail there running around.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Did you pretend you were handy to others.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Well, they start talking to me about the shop out
in the barn, and I says, ooh, that's something I
want to see. Yeah, and and hey, don't run around
and the husband they're looking in he said, He said,
so you like to you like the workshop? I said,
I love the smell of a good workshop. Let me
go out there and check that out, the smell to
fix anything? I said, What should I be looking for?
He goes, soon as you see the goats go left.
(31:26):
So anyway, then there, then there's the what are we
going to do while we're here? What what's going to
be our extorsions? Hang out with people you don't know?
And Mont said again Mit Pillier James Madison's home, by
the way, the author of the Constitution. Pretty big deal. Yeah,
I heard of him. I knew, I knew I should
(31:49):
have been paying attention when the woman who's very very
kind that runs the bed and breakfast, the wife.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Is this the house he slept in?
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Or is that just one of the houses? No, that's
the the house we're all in there slept in. Matter
of fact, that's my window there on the left.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Are you right?
Speaker 1 (32:08):
That's me? Is that your bed and breakfast. Smile. You
got going cheesing, isn't it? Yeah? So uh gee, So anyway, uh,
the property was absolutely beautiful, absolutely beautiful. So it looks
like so a lot of history. I was concerned about. Haynes,
I hang on, lie yeah, and finally told me to
(32:28):
stop talking about that. She said, she said, you hang
around with your brothers, you much? Yeah? Right, So in
of course, Greg, there's the one you like the most.
But anyway, beautiful home, curtains, beautiful property, all of that.
So so anyways, so much history, so much. I say,
now I was wrong, but anyway, thanks Greg. So I
heard them say this, They said, now when you go
(32:49):
to Mount Mount Pillier, I think it's been Constitution day.
We have we don't have actors there, we have scholars.
And I thought, what's the different? I didn't know that
meant that they would not come out of character at all.
So on the property walking around was James Madison, it's
(33:10):
his place, Thomas Jefferson, they there all the time. No,
I think they're there for a certain thing. James Monroe.
That's the only three. That's the only right different James Monroe. Uh,
so we that we encountered James Madison. Gracious, this is
James Madison. Hey, what's the quarterback with weird right? Yes, Fitzpatrick,
(33:33):
James Madison would not come out of character. Forgot that
stayed in care Yeah, oh they all we did. But
he really he thinks he's James Madison. And of course
I couldn't do anything with it because I kept trying
to have a conversation outside of the time.
Speaker 8 (33:49):
You got a mirror that, and you try to go
at serious business, and he wouldn't come out of it.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
And then all of a sudden, I'm sitting there and
when he's interacting with us, we pull our phone and
he goes, oh, what is that contraption? Oh, it's some
type of mirror. I'm like, no, I said, I was like,
you know what a phone? I was like, hey, buddy,
where are you a smart phone?
Speaker 9 (34:13):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (34:14):
How about this? Hey, Larry, you know this is Okay,
you're a good action. Come on, Larry, Okay, you have one.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
Yeah, so you think he's James at home?
Speaker 1 (34:25):
I don't know how to star at home with him. Well,
when when we come back, I'm going to I'm going
to tell you a couple of things you don't do
when you're touring this time frame of colonial Virginia because
there's a lot of things that were going on then,
so that we all decided we needed to fix. But
in that time you had, you had free labor. Uh
(34:47):
and uh and of course you know, just you got
to be real careful when you get into all that,
because you know, people can be high persentitive, especially when
you're in Virginia, not missing up your Alabama and and
so a couple of things you don't want to do
there and so well, uh but Jay, and also I'm
going to tell you I had an uncomfortable moment with
(35:09):
James Madison and uh we did some and and uh
and I was also if I thought somebody exaggerated something,
shall you tell me to stop whispering? Step out? Uh
we believe that. Step out.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
You believe right, just like thin can hear us in
the bed and breakfast.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
By the way, the Constitution is a big deal. I
found myself going all in and thanking James for the
work he put into it.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
So you just said, Okay, you're not Larry. I guess you're.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
James didn't know he would take me through the entire
Yazoo Land deeds. But still somebody say, birds, I'm ready
broadcasting from the real So we we have not covered
the Charlie Kirk memorial service. Uh wow, amazing. Uh we
(35:59):
were traveling, I did not see any I saw the
very last of it once we got home. I've seen
a lot of the highlights. We have these here, really
really powerful, powerful, powerful afternoon and it went on like
for what five hours or more. So a couple of
the highlights we have here today, I think the one
(36:22):
which if you're you know, if you're part of if
you're a follower of Christ, it probably isn't as shocking
to us as I'm sure it was to the world, which,
by the way, the way we respond to these kind
of things, I'm supposed to be shocking to the world
so that they can see there's something there that has
to be supernatural. And you know, when you attend see Adler.
(36:42):
So when you get to this moment with Erica Kirk,
I think this is one of those things that rattled
a lot of people because she begins to talk about
the assassin that took her husband's life and her desire
to forgive him. And so here is that moment from
(37:02):
the memorial service.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
That young man on the cross, our Savior said, Father,
forgive them for they not.
Speaker 5 (37:19):
Know what they do.
Speaker 12 (37:23):
That man, that young man, I forgive him.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
So when you when you hear something that powerful and
so unexpected, you know that that is that's the message
in the midst of suffering, is that nothing speaks louder.
They're from a person's point of view for the world
to be watching a follower of Jesus. And I know
(38:22):
there were some political things that got in there last
night that you know that's over here, But the the
fact that that people weren't shying away from the name Jesus,
like Greg told me they did. They weren't just saying
they were saying some obscure God or in the higher power.
Even even the anchors for Fox Yeah, where I mean
(38:43):
they were bringing it, were always talking about Jesus. I've
never like, I say, here's this guy's that's civilian, he's
not elected official. And to have the every leader in
our country there, it was incredible. It really really was
so that but that moments like that have deep impact
because that's a moment where somebody can say, I don't
know that I could have responded that way, and I'm
here to tell you. Erica Kirk couldn't either without the
(39:06):
power of the Holy Spirit. And she is being obedient
and what she says and I learned this from Jesus,
So that's incredible. So here's some other things from her
ten b Adler. You know, obviously we've been talking about
this a lot on the show. And I hope that
(39:27):
the platform that God allowed Charlie Kirk and Erica to
build with their obedience to him, that maybe the message
can be heard by even more people. The call to
the men of our country. And here is Erica Kirk
with that challenge.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
To all the men watching around the world, except Charlie's challenge.
Speaker 5 (39:54):
And embrace true manhood.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
He strong and courageous for your families. Love your wives
and lead them, Love your children and protect them. Be
the spiritual head of your home. But please be a
(40:22):
leader worth following your wife. Your wife is not your servant.
Your wife is not your employee. Your wife is not
(40:45):
your slave. She is your helper. You are not rivals.
You are one flesh working together for the glory of God.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
Powerful stuff. And then and other people were also talking
about the moment when she talked about and ten a,
this one's a little bit lengthy, but I think we
can get the gist of it her of challenging everyone
about praying and getting in the word of God. So
here again is Erica kirk Ray again.
Speaker 4 (41:24):
Read the Bible again, go to church next Sunday and
the Sunday after that, and break free from the temptations
and shackles of this world.
Speaker 5 (41:45):
Being a follower of Christ is not easy. It's not
supposed to be.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
Jesus said, if anyone would come after me, let him
deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. He
said he would be persecuted. He said we would be persecuted.
And Charlie knew that unhappily carried his cross all the
way to the end. And I want all of you
(42:14):
to know, while Charlie died far too early, he was
also ready to die.
Speaker 5 (42:24):
There was nothing, nothing he was putting off.
Speaker 4 (42:28):
There was nothing that was too hard or too painful,
or nothing that he just felt like he didn't want
to do it. He left this world without regrets. He
did one hundred percent of what he could every day.
Speaker 5 (42:46):
But I want you to know something.
Speaker 4 (42:50):
Charlie died with incomplete work, but not with unfinished business.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
So again and then I think we can get one
more in before we go, doctor Frank Turk As I
say his name number six, I understand that that he
really did a great job presenting the gospel, as many did.
And we'll get to Rubio when we can't when we
come back. As far as politicians, everyone was telling me
that Marco Rubio presented the gospel very clear, but we
(43:23):
can get doctor Frank Turik in. This is the kind
of stuff that was going on while the world was watching.
Here's here's the presentation of the gospel. I'm not familiar
with him.
Speaker 7 (43:32):
He was actually he was the guy that was in
the tent with Charlie when Charlie was shot. He is
the guy in the hat that people are saying like
he was supposedly signaling there was a big conspiracy around
this guy. This is a guy that has toured with
Charlie for years and years.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
And he's always with him.
Speaker 7 (43:49):
There wasn't any conspiracy regarding this guy, which made me
sad that that was pinned on that guy.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
For a few days.
Speaker 7 (43:55):
He was in the car on the way to the
hospital with Charlie and he had this wonderful message, like
you said, Rick.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Now I want you to know that Charlie right now
is in heaven, not because he was a great husband
and father, not because he saved millions of kids out
of darkness on college campuses, not because he changed minds
and chased votes to save the country, not because he
(44:23):
sacrificed himself for his savior. Charlie Kirk is in heaven
because his Savior sacrificed himself for Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
Amen. Amen, So yeah, it's Charlie Kirk is to be admired,
but he's not to be worshiped. And he was pointing
you up to the only one that was worthy of worship,
and that's Jesus, and he is our only hope. All
the rest of us are just beggars telling you where
(44:56):
the food is. We'll be right back. We have more
to I'm from the Memorial service right after this. Thank
you for being with us, America. We've had a blast
already today now obviously a little more serious because we're
looking back at the Memorial Service yesterday, obviously a big event.
(45:21):
Need to kind of hashing out with you today.
Speaker 3 (45:23):
I figure you do.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
Want to talk about that because it was so powerful.
We've hit some of the highlights now from a politician standpoint,
Marco Rubio, again, I had so many people. I'm looking
forward to hearing this with you for the first time.
That said, he really did a wonderful job of presenting
clearly presenting the gospel. So here is Marco Rubio from
(45:44):
Charlie Kirk's memorial service.
Speaker 5 (45:46):
His deep belief.
Speaker 13 (45:49):
That we were all created, every single one of us
before the beginning of time, by the hands of the
God of the universe, an all powerful God who loved
us and created us for the purpose of living with
him in eternity. But then sin entered the world and
separated us from our creator.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
And so God took on the form.
Speaker 14 (46:07):
Of a man and came down and lived among us,
and he suffered like men, and he died like a man.
But on the third day he rose unlike any mortal man.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
And then.
Speaker 5 (46:24):
And to prove any.
Speaker 13 (46:25):
Doubter ors wrong, he ate with his disciples so they
could see, and they touched his wounds.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
He didn't rise as a ghost or as a spirit,
but his flesh. And then he rose to the heaven.
But he promised he would return, and he will.
Speaker 14 (46:37):
And when he returns because he took on that death,
because he carried that cross.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
We were free from the sin that.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
Separated us from him.
Speaker 14 (46:45):
And when he returns, there will be a new heaven
and a new earth, and we will all be together
and we are going to have a great reunion there
again with Charlie and all the people we love.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Thank you with.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
God bless you.
Speaker 1 (46:59):
Amen, So well done. Jd Vance also had some some
great moments video number nine. First talking about you know
that throughout our you know, as long as we've been
a country. This is more on the you know, patriotic side,
that is, it is better to you know, to lose
(47:21):
your life standing up for the ability for people to
express themselves freely, which would include our faith. And so
here he is talking about.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
That Charlie suffered a terrible fate.
Speaker 15 (47:34):
My friends, we all know it, we all saw it,
but think it is not the worst fate. It is
better to face a gunman than to live your life
afraid to speak the truth. It is better to be
(47:59):
persecuted for your faith than to deny the kingship of Christ.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
Amen.
Speaker 15 (48:10):
It is better to die a young man in this
world than to sell your soul for an easy life
with no purpose, no risk, no love, and no truth.
Speaker 1 (48:21):
Amen. As we said, the goal is impact, not longevity.
So do we have you want to do the other?
Jdvans one two. This is him talking about the impact
of Charlie's death on people discussing Jesus. And we've seen
lots of you tell us this is going on at
your workplace as well. Here's JD Events talking about that.
Speaker 15 (48:39):
A little uncomfortable talking about my faith in public.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
As much as I love the Lord and as much
as it was.
Speaker 15 (48:46):
An important part of my life, I have talked more
about Jesus Christ in the past two weeks than I
have my entire time in public life.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
By the way, that's more and more people saying that,
which again and you see God working through this. Jesus,
as they've all said, told us that difficulty will come
from the world if you decide to follow him. He didn't.
He didn't leave us in the dark on that. And
then you have some kind of surprising things. Video twelve
Van Jones getting emotional because he discovered a direct message
(49:21):
from Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated. So here's Van
Jones talking about that line up.
Speaker 16 (49:26):
The suspect is a black man and Charlie Kirk and
Van got into a public sparring match online. Kirk claimed
the murder happened because she was white. Van denounced that
as completely unfounded. Kirk then sent out wood Van calls
a fire hose of tweets challenging Here's.
Speaker 7 (49:41):
Anderson Cooper recapping the beef between Van Jones and here's
Van now to talk about that. So they were beefing online.
Van Jones then discovers a DM from Kirk the day after.
Speaker 16 (49:53):
He was killed tonight. I mean, this is extraordinary. So
this was received the day before he was killed.
Speaker 17 (49:58):
Yeah, look, I mean beefing. We were going at it
online on air, and then after he died, after he
was murdered, my team called him Evan. He was trying
to reach you man.
Speaker 1 (50:14):
What and what was he doing? Dialogue?
Speaker 17 (50:21):
Let's be gentlemen together, he says, let's disagree agreeably. So
I'm sitting on this and I'm watching the whole country
talk about civil war, censorship, justifying murder about this guy.
This guy is reaching out to his mortal enemy saying
(50:42):
we need to be gentlemen, sit down together and disagree agreeably.
And the next day he's killed. And I've sat on
it long enough and I just said, you know what,
we're going to Memorial weekend for this man.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
We disagree.
Speaker 17 (50:56):
Everybody knows we were not friends, okay at all, But
you praise the good when it's sounded more like somebody
and what he did and I didn't even know it
was good. He was not for censorship, he was not
for civil war. He was not for violence. He was
for dialogue, open debate, and dialogue even with me.
Speaker 1 (51:18):
Well, there you go. And then of course you have
the bad side of things with Omar. How do you
say your name Ihan Omar? Yeah, yeah, yes, unbelievably TONEDAWF,
no need to say this, but she does. And we
need to understand how dangerous this person is. But here's
her comments on Charlie Kirk, and hopefully America will remember this.
Speaker 10 (51:43):
Fine jarring is that there are so many people willing
to excuse the most reprehensible things that he said, that
they agree with, that that they're willing to have monuments
for him, that they want to create a day to
honor him, and that they want to produce resolution in
the House of Congress honoring his life and legacy. It
(52:06):
is one thing to care about his life because obviously
so many people loved him, including his children and wife.
But I am not going to sit here and be
judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man
has left behind that should be in the dust pen
of history, and we should hopefully move on and forget
(52:29):
the hate that he spewed every single day.
Speaker 7 (52:32):
Should so a man, that's what you're doing right now.
You're spewing hate, is what you're doing.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
And as usual, those who say these things about Charlie
Kirk never give you an example. No, you never get
an example now now they just say it, which is rhetoric,
and they're hoping you won't research it. As we've noticed,
sometimes people just say things hoping you'll never fact check them.
But I mean, that'd been a nice place to maybe
play a few cuts to see why you think you
(52:59):
shouldn't be on hundred, you know, by America And and uh,
but she doesn't. She just and really a lot of
things that she thinks are hate. A lot of a
lot of people might think, well, no, we just call
that truth. Yeah, so but she said it, so you know,
hopefully we'll remember that as well. We'll be right back.
(53:25):
So we spend a lot of time talking about even today. Uh,
the state of the culture. You know, darkness uh is
uh it is alive and well. But the light, certainly,
as we've been told, always overcomes. But maybe you need
a little break from all this and you just just
like the praise and worship. Maybe you got to see
yesterday you'd like to say, Man, that's what I need.
(53:47):
I need more of that. Well. October the eleventh, Dallas, Texas, UH,
something called Share the Arrows Now. This is for women
hosted by Blaze TVs on Ali Beth Stuckey, designed to
encourage you, quip and speak truth into women who are
willing to stand up against the world and stand with Christ.
(54:08):
I'll tell you one thing. We talk about the fact
that we we do need godly men. But let me
tell you something. It's an uphill climb. You don't have
godly women. Uh. So that's what this is about. Bold
voices like Ginger Dougger, Alyssa Childers, Katie Foules, Taylor Duke's Worship,
Francesca Battistelli. Uh is going to be going on. So
if you if you want to get tickets guys for
(54:29):
the women in your life, or or you want to
you want to just get some for yourself. If you're
a woman out there, go to share the arrows dot com.
Share the Arrows dot com and yes, v I P
options are still available. So then came the nervous moment
(54:51):
last night, and there were a few like the president. Look,
let me tell you, we're all we're all very very
thankful that Donald Trump is the president. Some of you
may not agree with us, glad he got a second term,
loved the job he's doing, certainly voted for him, and
glad he won. But when you're at a memorial service
(55:14):
and the Gospels being presented, praising worship is going on,
and you see him walking to the mic, you're like, oh, boy,
political rallies, one thing, political rally, one thing. A old boy. Uh.
And so we were all just I thought speedy was
just going to just turn into.
Speaker 3 (55:31):
Much well you've had because I had joined.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
The memorial service. Now, of course I get there just
in time for this. Where's you get the chief of staff?
He wouldn't y Yeah, yeah, the chief bringing it? He
was the worst bad I heard him, and I thought
his presentation was terrible. It had some really bad theology.
(55:54):
I don't want to say that Charlie Kirk is going
to cause people to rise like a dragon. I was like,
oh my gosh, what a terrible choice of words. And
his was a little more, you know, some political revolution,
which certainly find but it's not going to solve the
problems of the world. You can't fight spiritual battles, you know,
with secular weapons. But so unfortunately, that's the first thing
(56:19):
I heard when I was driving, and I thought, oh,
please tell me that it's better than this, and of
course it was much better.
Speaker 8 (56:26):
So anyway, so with all that leading up, you had
the praise and worship, he says, such a powerful day,
and then you had things that we've.
Speaker 3 (56:33):
Played already and stuff, and so then you have all that.
Speaker 8 (56:36):
And then leading up to the president. Trump is the
final speaker.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
So Y alerted me that Trump was on his way
to mic and I was like, please, please, please, please
please please stay with the teleproprams. Do you see my
mention is I said, get ready for anything? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (56:51):
You did.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
Please please please stay with the teleprompter.
Speaker 7 (56:55):
I understand why he had to close it out because
he's the President of the United States of America. But
Erica kirkhun right there.
Speaker 1 (57:04):
Right, there's a good place to end it. It's a
good place to end it. So anyway, here he comes,
and at one point it turned into the State of
the Union. But I'm but but this is the line. Uh,
this is this is classic Trump. Uh. So here he
is uh memorializing a man who said, forgive your enemies,
(57:27):
uh not to wish you know, hell on anyone. Basically,
I hope that all come to redemption. And here's what
Trump said. That's where he and Charlie disagreed a little bit.
Speaker 14 (57:37):
So here here we go, missionary with a noble spirit
and a great, great purpose.
Speaker 3 (57:44):
He did not hate his opponents.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
He wanted.
Speaker 3 (57:48):
The best for them. That's where I disagreed with Charlie.
Speaker 5 (57:51):
I hate my opponent and I don't want the best
for them.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (57:57):
I am sorry Erica.
Speaker 14 (57:59):
But now Erica can talk to me and the whole
group and maybe they can convince.
Speaker 3 (58:03):
Me that that's not right. But I can't stand my opponent.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Guys, guys, I wish I was right now looking that
he's angry at me. That guys just said, Charlie, you know,
did that and I'm really working on that or.
Speaker 8 (58:18):
Something like I think you could well anytime he looks
away from that teleprompter.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
I was like, oh no, and he's riffing.
Speaker 5 (58:24):
Oh no, and he's freestyling it.
Speaker 7 (58:26):
And he's going off the rails and talking about the
crime in Chicago for a very long time.
Speaker 1 (58:31):
And Washington d C. How he's cleaned it up, yes,
and how they're curing autism. Yeah, yeah, got today announcement
with autism today. I didn't know rf K Junior spoke. Okay,
you know, it's a serious subject and he was doing
and because he can't help he talks that way. Man,
that's something you need to know. But okay, again, maybe
(58:55):
these aren't maybe a quick snippet, but this really is
he struggling and physically he was struggling, which made me struggle.
Of course.
Speaker 7 (59:05):
This was kind of the pinnacle of his speech if
you want it. Oh boy, no, well, okay, this is
he gets emotional here.
Speaker 4 (59:13):
R F.
Speaker 1 (59:14):
I couldn't tell we.
Speaker 7 (59:16):
Were talking about the risk, Okay, Greg, Greg, we can't.
Speaker 3 (59:20):
We can't play the clip right after.
Speaker 5 (59:24):
I can't tell.
Speaker 3 (59:25):
Look, we can't do that. I'm gonna leave the room.
If we make fun of this.
Speaker 1 (59:29):
I'm not making fun of it. Okay, all right, I
promise we were talking about the risks that all of
us take when we challenge and Trend's interest, the physical risk.
Speaker 18 (59:40):
And he asked me if I was scared of dying,
And I said to him, there's a lot worse things
than death, and one of those things is if we
lost our constitutional rights in this country and that our
children were raised as slaves.
Speaker 1 (59:56):
And are you sure didn't he's emotional here, hurt. I
said to Charlie.
Speaker 18 (01:00:06):
I said, sometimes the best consolation we can hope for
is that we get to die with our boots on. Well,
Charlie died with his boots on, and he died to
make sure that we didn't have to undergo those fates
that are worse than death.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Oh, let's remember Charlie. He was.
Speaker 18 (01:00:28):
He was For those of us who were friends with Charlie,
we don't need any more evidence of the love of God,
because the evidence of friendship is the best evidence that
God loves us all. Thank you, and God bless you.
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
And he of all people, you know, his father was assassinating, right,
you know can relate. Yeah, look at you great, Look,
I'm like that was a very serious thing. Okay, maybe
I've had a little fun with him. You are, we
should tell I tell you for him that is it
has to take a lot out of it when you
do a long speech like that, just stay right there.
(01:01:11):
So and like I said, he's lived it. So Yes,
I wonder how old he was his father. We've looked
that up before and I don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:01:22):
I can't remember. There was in shape that there was
some some I think some lighthearted moments.
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
I know on a very serious day he was.
Speaker 7 (01:01:33):
He was fourteen years old.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Wow, that's a tough age.
Speaker 8 (01:01:37):
And and and cut seven Don Junior did uh he
impersonated his dad about how he can get on social
media and get to go in and then his his
dad will call him and say, hey, you need to
you need to calm down a little bit. And he
did his day, Yeah he did.
Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
He did his dad boy, and his dad was watching
him from the from up top. And this is it's
a pretty funny moment.
Speaker 9 (01:01:59):
So here it is seeing me on social media. Knows
I'm far more likely to crack a joke or get
myself in trouble for posting some grossly inappropriate memes than
I am to shed a tear. I know this because
I've even gotten the call from that guy a couple
of times.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
You know, done done.
Speaker 9 (01:02:19):
Okay, you're getting a little aggressive and social media done.
Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
Relax, guys. For some reason, Dana White is there. He's
always there's always weird Dana White be interviewed and you
don't want to give him the mic at a memorial
(01:02:45):
service in the booth. He's got a mouth on him. Yeah,
but you can tell when Donald Trump, the president is speaking.
It reminds me of you remember when Tom Cruise's character
said that Jack Nicholson's character won't to tell us he
did it. He wants to tell us. Donald Trump wants
off that teleprompter. He wants to riff. He wants to
(01:03:07):
rift so bad. Oh. Yeah, you know you can tell
he's comfortable when he starts riffing the teleprompter. He feels
like it's holding him back. Yeah. This is the Rick
Burgess show. The memorial service, and this comes from someone
that is part of Tube City out there says while
(01:03:27):
Charlie's pastor, who by the way, people said that we
didn't mention, but I don't understand this did happen, which
is great. While Charlie's pastor preached and gave an imitation
for people to come to faith in Christ. MSNBC was
discussing Trump's pressures on Pam Bondy to attack his rivals.
Rebecca Dunn spoke at the memorial service and MSNBC was
talking about how Trump was underwater on a number of issues.
(01:03:51):
Doctor Larry Arne told a story about Kirk and gave
him an honorary degree, and NBC was talking about the
Palestinian conflict. Key McCoy gave a tribute while well, you
get the idea. I give partial credit to CNN for
showing the memorial service, but I notice that may not
have shown parts like when God, Jesus in the Holy
(01:04:11):
Spirit was being praised. I don't know whether they did
or not. Anyway, awesome that God's message was spread in
this time of tragedy as it usually is, so they
were noticing what was being covered while other things were happening.
That's pretty funny. Now to get to the much lighter
and we've hit a lot of very light stuff today
as well. Headline and this was sent to me by
(01:04:32):
one of our listeners, and this is Florence, South Carolina,
courtesy of forty eight WAFF Headline. Teaching assistant charged after
allegedly using poop spray at high school. Now, this must
be the worst fart spray ever. A teaching assistant has
(01:04:56):
been arrested, arrested and you can't be arrested for that
after authorities say he used a poop spray to create
a foul odor at a South Carolina high school. His
name is Alexander Lewis, a thirty two year old teaching
What a cool teacher assistant.
Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
He thought it was hilarious.
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
At West Florence High School, he allegedly sprayed an odor
designed to imitate you know what it imitates, got morning
breathe while a school. While at school multiple times, greg
he was a mad poops prayer from August twenty fifth
all the way to September the nineteenth. He continued to do.
Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
It so it was just that was his thing. He
would do it.
Speaker 1 (01:05:41):
He allegedly thought it was funny. He used the spray,
which he acquired online, to cause disruption at the school.
Some people started seeking children had to seek medical attention
for respiratory issues.
Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
What hey, look, this must be a little dabbldoo.
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
He went in too hard, remember, and I shut the
whole studio down at the old place, and we had
opened all the doors because I sprayed something Spitey's office
and I didn't think it was strong enough, so I
just kept pumping. Yeah, and then all of a sudden
it cranked up. Was that the great morning breeze? Yes?
And I mean we had we had every door.
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Open, every Yeah, well we should have every guy that's
like a skunk was in there.
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Yeah, we should We should have had you arrested the
high school. Listen to this. Listen the high school not
knowing what was happening. This is where he's in real trouble.
Spent fifty five thousand dollars fifty five thousand dollars for
inspection to find out what was wrong with the air
condition says No, that's one of them went unintentional.
Speaker 3 (01:06:39):
Yeah, he'd let it go too long and then he
was like, oh.
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Well, yeah, see that's when your your prank go to
an area you didn't plan. If I'd known it was
going to be fifty five grand and fix it, I
wouldn't have done it. So the former teaching assistant is
being charged with disturbing schools and malicious injury to property.
Look at his faith. He's being held at the local
while he a waste bond. As a matter of fact,
(01:07:02):
the local jail keeps spraying in there to say, how
you like that? How do you like that? Fou can
we hear they spent fifty where the state was coming from.
How long he did it? He did this for almost
a month.
Speaker 8 (01:07:15):
You know these bloopers where these reporters that sometimes they
lose it and they start laughing. But I love when
the it's like, here's some hard for you and they
stay with it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
This is going to be good. This is courtesy of
what wpde ABC's.
Speaker 11 (01:07:28):
The fifteen fifty facing charges. Thirty two year old Alexander
Lewis was arrested Friday for a disturbing schools and malicious
injury to property. Deputy say Lewis used a spray he
bought online to mimic the smell of feces. Investigators believe
he sprayed it multiple times between August twenty fifth and
September nineteenth, disrupting classes, triggering health issues, and costing the
(01:07:52):
district nearly fifty five thousand dollars and inspections and air
conditioning damages.
Speaker 5 (01:07:57):
To stay.
Speaker 11 (01:07:58):
Judge said bond for Lewis yesterday afternoon at just over
nine thousand dollars?
Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
What did than gonna be returnableed to two different courts? Y'all?
Speaker 11 (01:08:07):
He's coughed the malicious injury to personal property charge to
retunbled the General Sessions Court on.
Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
November the nineteenth, nine o'clock he's in charge, called eight
thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:08:22):
That is a shooting bar.
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Do you understand all this?
Speaker 11 (01:08:26):
Who for prey in the fives is going to be
returnable to Florence Fashion's Court for.
Speaker 5 (01:08:33):
Arts pray at ten o'clock.
Speaker 9 (01:08:35):
And the bottom for that is one thousand ninety dollars.
Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
You smelt it, you dealt it? What about man? What
about the news reporter? I guess they voted. Okay, we're
gonna say imitating fe Si, I can't say far no,
the reporter says, Now, look so I can't just say
fars prey, you may not.
Speaker 7 (01:08:53):
Judge said he was also guilty of one count of
supplying it while denying it.
Speaker 3 (01:08:59):
I wish that we had audio that judgement.
Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
When we smelled, you should have said you dealt it?
Speaker 7 (01:09:07):
Why would you know while you had also supplied one?
Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Now you're right, we're sitting in jail right speed. The
famous were you in here for? Well? You know, grand larcening. Okay,
you know, okay, so what do you what do you do?
If we do here in jail spraying fast, break must sleep?
And I was a teacher, and I was a teachers system.
An example, it was so bad they thought the air
conditioning system was broken. They spend fifty five grand trying
(01:09:33):
to solve it. And somebody says, now that's a far
that's a good one. So he just continued to do it.
That's the best way. He had, little mystery going, don't
know what this smell?
Speaker 8 (01:09:43):
He loved it, he said, by enjoy Those things are stout,
they are you.
Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
We learned that may I ask an uncomfortable mystery, And
I don't think it's so. There is a human mystery that,
for some reason, if you're the one who dealt it,
the smell doesn't bother you. I think there's something you
should be studying, because if you ever notice, if it's mine,
I'm not even bothered by now, and everybody's freaking out,
(01:10:08):
and I'm just kind of yeah, so does that do
you take that?
Speaker 3 (01:10:11):
On his arm? Do you take that?
Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
Yeah, it doesn't work that way. He was probably one
of the ones going, yeah, when you know you got
some issues. Is when it even bothers you, that's the line.
Speaker 3 (01:10:22):
That's the line, right, I should probably stop.
Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Eating when I ate yesterday. I can tell this now
that it's been twenty something years nearly, but we set
one off in a safety meeting one time. Here we
go grown men at the power coming in. I mean
just cleared the whole building. Nobody was looking around. What
is that? Well, if you remember in the Rick and
Bubby year, there was the one who capsuled you step
on it. When when Bubba and I first started working
(01:10:45):
together and we were still we were still in Gadston,
we sprayed one on the under the newsman's door. It's
a great state the community calendar.
Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
Serious interviews to.
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
I'm gonna tell you might want to get her and
have a look at that. Something is I'm not sure
who dealt it but me the newsman just melted and
h So we talked about that and but yeah they
you really. But what I'm saying is, was he not
bothered by what he was doing? Did he just deal
with it? Was worth it to watch everybody? And does
he have a friends that know about it? How does he? Yeah,
(01:11:18):
what's his what's his jolly weird. Look at him, he's
a weird guy. Look at him.
Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
Yeah, how many? How how far did it go?
Speaker 8 (01:11:25):
I do want to know that, like two or three
maybe because he had to enjoy it with somebody like
the Giggles.
Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
Yeah, how many people annoy it? First of all, he
did it for nearly looking for it. I want to
know what what I actually had to do we consider
called searching for it. That cost me fifty five thousand dollars.
I mean, what were we doing?
Speaker 3 (01:11:42):
That was so they said they cleaned out I guess
the ac duck work or whatever. They thought there might
have been something in it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:47):
It was so bad. Great, they're saying, we got to
get inside this air conditioning event and these something's going on.
I want to know who told on him? Yeah? How
did he ever on him?
Speaker 3 (01:11:56):
You think he finally came out that all right?
Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
I don't getting out of hand? This is it like cologne?
Speaker 3 (01:12:02):
One spray and to your what you did? Do you think,
oh that's not enough? And you keep on?
Speaker 1 (01:12:06):
Yeah, but mind didn't last for days? Do you think
that now? Like if people like one day, people will
always refer back to him as the greatest fart spray
guy there ever was Oh yeah, now he paid for it,
Yes he did, still gonna pay for it. Oh yeah,
we'll be right back, all right. Do we all agree?
In life, things start out some can sometimes start out
(01:12:30):
being cute, but then if things start going poorly, what
was one time cute? Now driving crazy? I think we're
there with Bill Belichick's girlfriend. Okay, you're right by the
way I'm doing with it. I think we're there. Starts
out kind of funny. Hey, look at this. He's got
some young Philly but now they're not winning and they're
getting beat bad this weekend Central Florida. Yeah, uh and so.
(01:12:51):
And there's a video now of what people are calling
the girlfriend giving him a pep talk pregame and it
looks absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Oh my, why is that talking to.
Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
His grand Look at her boots and laying there? Yeah,
what is he doing?
Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
This is so that old man talking to that prostitute.
Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
All right, he's making a deal maybe a dancer. Yeah,
get credit card. This is Bill. But this shows you
how this works. We've seen it. This is Bill Belichick.
He didn't put up with no crap. One of the
most successful coaches in the history of the game, and
he's gonna let her walk up to him during the
pregame or whatever it is and be a distraction. Well,
(01:13:32):
I ain't gonna ask. By the way, notice the police
officer make sure he has his sunglasses on, and he
gets him a gander.
Speaker 3 (01:13:39):
Got right here. I think that's a female.
Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
Doesn't matter nowadays. Who knows he's no? One knows Bill
Belichick trying to get ready to play a ball game
down there because she was from the concessions. Greg's mad,
by the way, in the restricted area. That's what I'm saying,
can I get a ring? Pop?
Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
Is that what she said?
Speaker 1 (01:13:57):
Doesn't it really look like a kid going up to
the dad saying could I have some money for the concession?
It really does. The line at conna Ice is long?
Do you like my boots? I wasn't sure where that was.
I said, yeah, right out of her. That's embarrassing. She
needs to be up in to booth. That was a
dangerous bee. She ain't got no binness down.
Speaker 3 (01:14:17):
There, boots, boots?
Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
And how about this? If I'm if I'm the people
writing him at Big Old Check, I call him in
go look, we ain't playing very well at least pregame.
Maybe you can put her up and you can concentrate
on what we're doing.
Speaker 8 (01:14:34):
Put her up, because we're paying you left boots to
stay in the stand.
Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
Boots nanny or something. Do you remember us talking about
how this age part of life he's in can be
the most productive decade of your life. You know we've
had those discussions. Not if you're distracted and see if
you're bringing in an old fellow, you kind of think, well,
ill tell you one thing, he's focused on one thing.
He's almost a unuch, you know what I mean. Absolute,
he is focused on the job at hand. And the
(01:14:59):
minute they saw or they should have said, don't think
we're gonna have his attention. I don't think he's going
to be focused. I mean, we're fits the kickoff and
he's down there, talk what and then he have.
Speaker 8 (01:15:07):
A couple of years in him to turn this program around,
because that's what it's gonna be with her around, That's
what it's gonna take.
Speaker 1 (01:15:12):
Because let's face it, he's not focused, and let's face
it probably dark. And to be honest, they've shown what
they say. They got seventy five new players. They're not
very good at the portal, not judge and talent evidently no, no,
they and they said they're not. They're not trying to
say his phone in them, but they're practice over the
last thirty minutes. They got to get that. I think
(01:15:33):
that's good, everybody. I'm going to the end.
Speaker 7 (01:15:38):
So it looks like they're they're one and one in
their division. And yeah, so they're not. They've won a couple.
Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
Who they beat? So they win week two?
Speaker 7 (01:15:51):
See, okay, yeah, a couple of weeks, not a couple
they okay, okay, they won two.
Speaker 1 (01:15:55):
They beat the spider.
Speaker 7 (01:15:56):
Man from Richmond.
Speaker 1 (01:15:57):
Oh all right, okay, got stuck by t c U.
Speaker 5 (01:16:01):
Right, the Charlotte.
Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
Oh did they Charlotte? The Charlotte and Richmond? Okay, all right,
So so two and two? Who else is at the
handed I'm a forty one to four there or whatever
that is.
Speaker 3 (01:16:11):

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
That's tc U and then who else for the Richmond
that's them beating Richmond. They beat Richmond? Yeah them Clemson?
Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
Yeah, I got Clemson next.
Speaker 1 (01:16:21):
Hey, guys, what's wrong that one there? What's wrong with Clinton?
That's a whole nother story. Come on, now, what's wrong?
We're about to find out who's who's in the worst shape?
Speaker 3 (01:16:28):
Do you remember I think it was last year. We
were all looking around going, hey, what's wrong with Florida State.
Speaker 1 (01:16:33):
Season?
Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
And then Georgia Tech beat him over in Ireland in
the opening game.
Speaker 1 (01:16:38):

far as the fan bases that followed the show, we
need Florida play Clemson soon because that's two fan bases. Yeah,
I mean they need, I mean something tough so far.

one of the players crying on the sideline when they wasn't.
Speaker 7 (01:17:02):
