Speaker 3 (01:42):
America are you ready here? It is the show that
is uh shagging things up a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
The Rick Burgers Show with Speedy, Greg and Adler. All
here coming to you from the real world. Uh, where
we are not afraid of logic. We have not dropped
kicked it, uh, and we actually can reason. We also
have the ability, which is a lost start, to actually
walk out a narrative. So all that here, as we

(02:13):
will work our way through another one, and just watching
people still just rolling in from everywhere. Yes, someone has
foot out of Missouri. Charlie Sheen's ping pong partner is ready. Yeah, okay,
all right, winning, So we explain that this Charlie Sheen

(02:34):
interview will dominate the show today. Greg referenced an old
joke that's been around for a long long time. It's
the Tuesday night prayer service where everybody's given testimony in
as the joke goes, and I won't say what the
person said, but people started standing up and started saying
they were ready to confess their sins, and the pastors say,

(02:55):
tell it all, tell it all, brother, And one guy
got up and told some things that the patison says, oooh,
I don't think I'll tell that, but.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
So uh I didn't brother, I don't know about telling
all that.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
So so anyway, I think Charlie Sheen was maybe more
transparent than necessary.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
Well, Greg, he's holding nothing back and we remember when
we originally covered this story, when all.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
This was the show and every day there was a
new you know, added part, and we told it well,
and now Charlie ready to clean it up. I'm glad
that Charlie Sheen is alive and appears to be cleaning
it up a little bit.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
I hope he eventually finds Jesus.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
But I would like to say this, as Greg just
pointed out, as someone who's been doing this for a
very long time, I do have to say to him,
I'm grateful for the content that he provided, because it
was an every day every day we would come to work,
we go. Just when we thought he couldn't give us
any more, he's given us. Right we thought this chapter

(03:59):
was and it was the final ye yes.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
You know, the the interview and he's done a few others.
But his memoir of the the Book of Sheen Uh
is Goingna was released on Tuesday, UH and the documentary
UH premieres on Netflix I think today, and he's getting
out in front of that the documentary with yeah, and

(04:24):
so just just some highlights if like in other words,
if if if we just had some highlights that we
could discuss. He he he says that his drug addiction
was so bad the cartel told him he needs to
calm down, and he said, they can't keep up with
the demand.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
That's one. Two.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
He would he would, he would, he would, he would.
When he was partying, he didn't care who it was.
I'll just say that, no reference fact, and I'm there
was a there was a time because Jesse Waters on
Fox News asked him what made you stop? And that
was interesting because he's eight year sober. He said one

(05:03):
of the biggest things was there's no bigger party to attend.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
I've done it all, and you know, he has a point.

Speaker 6 (05:08):
Yeah, and uh, there there's absolutely so much there that
can be just you know, divided up into categories because
it's there's there.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
It's a lot.

Speaker 6 (05:20):
Especially when he breaks down what all he would do
and how bad it was, and he actually tells us
all about how winning winning, well, how that even happens.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
That was a big part of it, and it was
very very funny when he would throw winning in situations.
Yeah yeah, because.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
In the interview that where so what would you do
with that?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Well, of course I'll just be winning.

Speaker 6 (05:43):
Yeah yeah, CBS on two and a half, men, I
think trying to send him to rehab. I mean, they
were trying to do anything they could.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Remember he had a huge paycheck. There was a very
popular show.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
Was he one of the first ones. He was getting
like over a million.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Dollars he was making as it gets and that I
don't remember the exact number, but it was it was
the Walking Dog. Yeah. Uh. And and as we you
know what he was doing, he was winning. He was winning.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
And of course you know when you have Tiger's blood
that that'll work that. Yeah, don't get that, don't forget
Tiger's blood. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
But uh.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
He says winning was on the forefront of his mind
during that interview that you know, for years has been
so popular, and he tells us where that came from,
and and it was just why it was in his mind.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
He has winning. Some people say, you buy polar I'm
by winning? By winning? That was his best use of winning.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Was Yeah, bipolar, I may be by winning, but but
what are you.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Gonna do by being bipolar? What I'm I take on
by winning? Well?

Speaker 4 (06:49):
And again though I'm with you, Greg. We had the picture,
you know, and I've even had this happen before. And Sherry,
my wife, and I have had this discussion. I handle
this with kid gloves. I have been in situations where
you're sitting down at a gathering of some kind, could

(07:12):
be a conference, could be a small group. A new
person decides to give their testimony, and sometimes like, hey,
hold it.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Okay, okay, we get it. It's bad. Yeah we when
you you could have generally told us that that particular
air of your life and we would have understood the life.
You didn't have to give us every detail. Oh wow, wow,
whoa he was winning?

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Yes, yes he was, Charlie took he might not have
been bipolar, but he certainly was by something.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Uh so that yeah, and that's uh, that's what it was.
That's one of those I think. Yeah, well, I think
I gotta kept that on the show. Well, Jesse, Jesse Waters,
especially if you have the friends I have. Yeah, Jesse
Waters mentioned it, and then and then they doubled.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Down on it.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
Uh well and uh and then and then Charlie came,
and then Charlie confirmed it, and then Jesse said it again,
and then Charlie even brought it up again.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I'm like, we got it, Okay, we got it. I
heard you the first heard you the first, got it,
got it? He goes right, now he goes. But they
were paid well, okay, all right, everybody was getting paid Greg, Okay, so.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
Make it better. That doesn't make it better about you.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
You could have told us that you went to the buffet.
We don't have to know what your order. We don't
have to know what you put on your plate. That's
you know what you say, you know and not hit
the buffet. You got it? Yeah, and you know there's
a wide variety.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
You know, you're off the deep end if well if
if you say it didn't matter who it was. Yeah,
you know, that's there's a but you're trying to feed
that addiction. Uh you know, but he uh, eight years sober.
We can celebrate that and uh he is uh he's
talking about it. And we'll we'll you know, of course
we can't play all six and a half minutes of

(09:05):
the interview, but uh, there are there are some highlights
that are good.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
All right, So we'll we will, we'll, we'll unpack that even.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
More than we just have with the actual some of
the quotes there waiting. Okay, ab Uh should have had
his first coaches meeting last night.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
Chris Chris Chris, Chris, that's Chris. Hey, daddy, that's it.

Speaker 5 (09:29):
I kept being like, now, what is your name? Ruby? Okay,
we'll go over there there.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Don't forget the Wednesday

(10:02):
Bible of Study today at noon Central Time on The
Rick Burgers Show YouTube channel.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Yeah, we're back today. We continue with our study of
the Book of Job and it has been a really
eye opening walk through this incredible book of the Bible.
So if you haven't been with.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Us, you can catch up on the archives, but if
you are tracking with us, we're back today, so I
catch that either live or the archive that comes out
a little bit later. Also, just making some programming notes.
We got quite an honor yesterday from our brother Glenn
Beck and the team at Blaze TV. You know, some

(10:43):
of these horrible, horrible, wicked stories that are going on
in our society are tracking right along with our brand
new podcast, Strange Encounters about Spiritual Warfare. So I've been
on Glenn back Radio when I mean before, but recently
when Men Don't Run the Rain came out and we

(11:03):
kind of referenced the new podcast there toward the end
of the interview. Well, yesterday we were honored to get
a request from Glenn's producers for the TV show that
he's been doing for many years on Blaze TV, that
I'll have the honor to be a guest talking about
the obvious fruit of demonic activity that is going on

(11:27):
in our society right now, right in the headlines. So
Glenn and I will have that discussion on Glenn Back
TV coming up on Friday, so we'll tape it and
then I guess it runs later. So thank you for
that invitation, and I'm honored to accept that invitation and
have that very important conversation. Another Strange Encounters will also

(11:50):
be coming out this weekend.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Adler and I will do that.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Tomorrow, all right, So other things to cover today. I
did not know this. Somebody said, speaking of buffet, Uh
that McDonald's now has a buffet in Branson, Missouri.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Picture of that, I did not I can't go back
and get me a big man. I did not know that. Uh. Well,
who was the person that we heard that said?

Speaker 4 (12:19):
I can't remember who it was that was talking about
if you're a pop star, rock star in your career
is waning, put out a country album, if you're a country.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Music Yeah, who was always is Andy. Uh huh, Andy, Yeah,
that's right. Yeah, that was it. And he was talking
about was that off there on there?

Speaker 4 (12:38):
I think it was off that was I thought his
whole thing about that, Yeah, it was really good. But
he was saying, and if your if your country music
career is waning, you you go to Branson.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Uh. And that's why I thought about that. And then you.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Know, if if that doesn't work, you release a gospel
album or something like that. And he had this list
of the different the different ways you try to save
your career and entertainment business. So and so Branson came
to When I saw that, I didn't know that if
they have, but I don't.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
What does a McDonald's buffet look like.

Speaker 6 (13:10):
I'm sitting here looking at it now.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (13:13):
And just to kind of somebody saying what you just said,
McDonald's debuts first ever buffet in Branson, Missouri.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
Somebody says it's a hoax.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
Yeah, I'm reading it's a hoax.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
Also, Okay, so we think that's a hoax. Branson area
breaking news post.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Let's say it's a hoax.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Why well, why would you sit down and go I'm
gonna make up something about McDonald's having a buffet. Yeah,
people are saying thirteen dollars all you can eat.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Yeah. But but then people now are saying it's a hoax. Yeah.
I don't know why it would be a hoax. But
do you hear what? Who's the person said? Hey, I
put out a thing and so it's gonna be a
McDonald's buffet in Branson. Everybody thought it was true.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Yeah, I mean, what's the effort to do the contribution
to hoaxfield?

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Does that? I like a good hoax, don't get me wrong.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
But that's one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
AI.

Speaker 7 (14:07):
This picture, Yes, this picture is the only picture I
can find, and it is.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Hey, looks good. By the way, I can't see anything
to confirm. This goes back to how we're trying to
broadcast from a real world. Y'all the fake world out
there is is who would even think take time to
fake this?

Speaker 5 (14:23):
You see how people's faces are messed up?

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Oh yeah, that's not that's not even good.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
AI, right, No, it's really not.

Speaker 6 (14:29):
I need Paul Wilton to just email me. He'll know
he lives up in that area. Ye, so I think,
but it looks like it's to To Adler's point, I can't.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
If they're basing it off that picture, then it obviously
is because no one would think that's a real picture
because it looks like a bunch of cartoon people eating
big match.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
A lot of people are reposting it, and it's very exciting.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
Picture that picture. Yes they think that picture is real. Yes,
it's not gonna say it's not even good.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
AI, no text Nations said, imagine what would happen to
RFK Junior if this wor true?

Speaker 3 (15:01):
He would lose his every little mind.

Speaker 6 (15:03):
I am seeing Charlie she eating an egg McMuffin.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Okay, winning here's something that appears to be true. So
I'm afraid the McDonald's thing is is a hoax. And AI,
you got y'all with McDonald's. Please don't fall for that.
And you also don't ow ain't that big a deal.
There also are no outstanding towbridge fees that you Yeah,
we get a lot of that. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 8 (15:26):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Let me let me throw this though and speedy mention it.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
As we were in the break, I did see the
ongoing cracker barrel saga continues. Yeah, now remember this is
the thing too as a hoax. This goes back to
trying to discern in the times we're living in. We
just gave you an example right now with this McDonald's thinger,
you can't believe anything. Remember the new whatever she was

(15:51):
for Cracker Barrel, I don't know her official title, marketing person, CEO,
whatever she was, right she set on major outlets and
told us the response to the remodel and the new
logo has been overwhelmingly positive. I think that's almost an
exact quote. Overwhelmingly positive. Not just positive, overwhelmingly positive, I

(16:16):
mean show enough positive. It has been so bad they
have said we won't change the logo, and they released
I think yesterday or in the last forty eight hours.
They won't even be re decorating the inside stand way.
It is the remodeling from ceilings going nowhere. The quote
is if your location, which for us would be we

(16:38):
would be in this where we live, if your location
has not been redecorated, it's not going to be right now.
Ours has not been redecorated. The only thing is the
menu had the new.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Logo on it.

Speaker 6 (16:49):
Okay, they're going to go back to that, but Rick,
that's easy. Yesterday mornings they lose money. Late morning they
did announce on their ex account that they have heard
the voices of WHOA.

Speaker 3 (17:01):
I thought the voices were overwhelmingly positive.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Uh, is that y'all shared your voices in recent weeks,
not just on our logo, but the restaurants were continuing
to listen. And today we're suspending our remodeling. If your
restaurant hasn't been remodeled to your what you just said,
then don't worry.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
It won't be flip.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
Let's flip and we're going to you know, keep our
old timer logo to five to ten years ago.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Complete different situation it would have been. It'd have been reversed. Yeah,
we're changing it. Oh, Papahearsal is a racist. It had
been all that and everybody would accept it.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
It.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
I'm just saying, how funny it is been yeah, less
than ten years. How the the water you know, it
just doesn't it's not saying no, the environment has changed,
and you're right. And and the thing again, they'll remember.
The thing you can't take away from this is they're
hoping you don't realize that they're saying they listen to voices,
not to do it when they told you they were.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
Listening to voices to do it? Yeah, So which were
you lying all right? Or you just don't count very well?

Speaker 4 (18:00):
If it was overwhelmingly positive, don't change Yeah, even if
you've got a few people making noise, go I'm sorry,
we're gonna work through this.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
We think this is better. So people people are just
f os.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
So I mean, hey, it's been overwhelmingly positive, and now
they just told us again they're not gonna change it
because there's been overwhelmingly negative.

Speaker 6 (18:19):
Yeah, so, Greg, I go to you. Im possible was
this all a hoax all along?

Speaker 3 (18:23):
To get I will say this is something you would say,
whether it was intentional or not.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
I've eat there twice as it started, and before that
I hadn't need wanted to know if the food is
still good.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
And I will say this, if you ordered grilled chicken,
it's good.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
I'm craving it. I've been thinking about it. I gotta
get there now they.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Got this is the Rick Burgess Show, Okay, So I
know here we we talk a lot about about what's
going on in the culture, and every now and then,
let's just be honest, it just gets like he is
there any good news at all? Is the Can you
guys bring up anything positive? So we try to do

(19:03):
that because we get kind of tired of the bad
news too.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
But here's something a little different, Ladies.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
If you're out there, if you want to kind of
just say all right, let me kind of leave the
war of politics, all the noise, all the craziness. It's
a weekend called Share the Arrows. It's going to actually
be on October the eleventh in Dallas, Texas. It'll be
hosted by Blaze TV's on Alibeth Stuckey. So if you're
some of the women out there that support we do,

(19:28):
are you are a man that says, hey, I think
I'm gonna let the women in my life know about that,
or pick them up some tickets so they can go
to Share the Arrows. Just go to Share the Arrows
dot Com. VIP options are still available. Also, there'll be
some great conversations with bold voices like Ginger Dugger and
Alyssa Childers and Katie Faust and Taylor Duke's and Francesca

(19:50):
Battistelli will be a leading worship So if you'd like
to find out more, you know, in a culture that
is constantly pulling in the wrong direction, go to something
that will be inspiring and uplifting where you can stop,
reset and get grinded in biblical truth. Share the Arrows
dot com.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
This is what Trump had in mind when he sought
to make America great again. The Rick Budget Show.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Thank you for being with us today, America. We are
looking forward to chatting with you again today. Hitting some
emails from hey birds, Hey bird, kind of an indirect
what about the dog again today? Not direct as the
others have been, but kind of an indirect question. Someone
asking a.

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Very very deep what if a couple of updates.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
NFL has fined Eagles Jalen Carter for the spitting incident,
issued fifty seven thousand, two and twenty two dollars. Fine,
I'm not sure how they come up with that number.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
That's what it's worth.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
Yeah, So, but they will not be adding any additional suspension.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Yeah, and I thought that might happen, and so did.

Speaker 6 (21:23):
The guys on that were announcing, because it was before
any like the first play of the game. I mean
it was the kickoff, of course, and so really he
did he was suspended for the game suspension yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Yeah, yeah, my goodness. He spit at the game. It
was it wasn't a spray. It was a loogi. Yeah. Yeah,
I'm just saying I swish DA hadn't spit first in
his own huddle.

Speaker 6 (21:43):
Yeah, I mean I don't spit on anybody.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
I don't have a spit in his direction. And look
we gave it. Look like, what are you thinking about that?

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Well, then that's kind of smart. The best defensive tack
if you enticed him to get kicked out.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
That's pretty smart.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Won him the game.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Are we going are we gone vetter than crackerber what
they did? Are we going to find Dak for that? Oh?

Speaker 4 (22:04):
Okay, so you can't. You can spend somebody's direction, just
can't hit them.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Rick. I'm not saying I would do it, But does
it kind of bother you that we're finding people in
football and you remember inside the huddle or in the
on the line of experimmage some of the things that
would happen. And we're finding a guy that much money
because he spent on somebody.

Speaker 6 (22:19):
Well, Greg, though, if you think about it, that's kind
of how that's how the that's how the professional league,
that's how they work. I mean, you don't get reprimanded
by the coach. You don't have to go to his
office and get talked down to. They just they talk
with money. They like, you get something wrong, suddenly you
just get fine.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Well yeah, but I'm just saying I spit on him, right,
But but I got to play, not enough play.

Speaker 6 (22:44):
I just said it was enough. I just said it
was enough. But I mean also, the league is gonna
find you be a time.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
Where now you had control over what do you think
it's necessary?

Speaker 6 (22:55):
I think he served a suspension. I didn't think he
would get fined.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
You know, thrown out.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
Remember used to go on under the huddle, Oh and
under the pile, big tack on people stomping on people's hand.
People that are in charge of football right now, if
they went into the world that we all played in,
they would they just cried. It never stopped a good person.
I wouldn't do that to any people. Would mean out there,
people said mean things. People did mean things to you, mama.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Yeah, and that still has to I don't think all
that's gone. You don't think you don't think we got
spit on. Yeah, I'm it's terrible. I hated. I think
it's horrible and nobody.

Speaker 9 (23:39):
Now.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
What I would do is I would say, dread me
on the next.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Yeah, that's my point. It's legal to get it back.
I'm gonna talk to my offensive line and you're gonna
regret doing that.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
Yeah, you know, Text Nation brings up a good point.
We were wondering how they came up with that figure.
Do you think that's what he gets paid a game?
If you look at his contract?

Speaker 5 (23:57):
I pulled it up.

Speaker 7 (23:57):
Okay, what it makes about five and a half million
from his rookie contract. He signed a four year deal
to beat around twenty seven million something like that. Okay,
so five million divided by fifty thousand, that's only one
percent of his annual paycheck.

Speaker 6 (24:11):
Oh okay, but I thought it might be what he
has paid a game.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
But what a snap. Now now I think Speedy's onto something.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
That number fifty seven thousand, two hundred and twenty two
is some sort of formula.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Yeah, you don't come up it has to be. I
don't know what it would be. I have no idea.
You got to spit formula.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
Yeah, right, you know to hey, look it happened. Timing
could not have been worse for him.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
I was terrible.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
I mean, the referee was right there. I mean, you know,
if he does that and nobody and nobody sees it.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
It was probably just moves on one of the best
Stevens line in the league. Your team needs you on
the field. You shouldn't be he has been in the
locker room, got you spit on something, even called it.
But we've all done things. Sometimes we've got no why. Yeah,
I know, Greg, you did that one thing.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
Sure.

Speaker 7 (24:54):
So the NFL does have a predetermined, published schedule of
violations and corresponding minimum financial penalties. But man, that is
a it's not a round number, a very specific number.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Yeah, I will say that's an expense. Want to do
it again. That's an expensive loogie is Yeah. I know
they make a lot of money. But still I heard
you're right because I don't so much say word burst
on her. But I'm telling you, if it's seven two
hundred and twenty two dollars for a yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
That's a lot.

Speaker 6 (25:22):
For a lot of people making a year, that's a lot.
So the time he couldn't be worse. It's like he
was on on a spotlight in center stage. The play
play had been was dead because they were looking at
at an injured player.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Everybody's waiting.

Speaker 6 (25:37):
He walks across the line of scrimmage and spits right
there in front of the referee.

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Just he's just bad, bad, but so mad you're spending
on somebody? Would Hiven Snapp the ball?

Speaker 10 (25:46):
Now?

Speaker 4 (25:46):
Can you imagine if Dick Buckets was playing right now,
would he even have any money? No, he would be
finding he would be finding so much much money.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
He wouldn't even have any And hey, hey, I'm gonna
tell you this, you can't even have a Dick Buckers.

Speaker 6 (25:58):
I saw Dak Prest talking about it postgame. Who likes Jalen?
Jalen seems to be fond of Dak. I think it
was just them like like like cutting up and like
likeut him up.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Like the kind of trash talk in each other. Spit
at him once and started it was a little spray.
It was getting him back.

Speaker 7 (26:18):
Five million per season rough numbers seventeen games regular season
games a year.

Speaker 5 (26:23):
He makes around three hundred thousand per game.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Wow, it's a lot, Yeah it is. And he didn't
play that game, does he? Oh? His team three hundred thousand.

Speaker 7 (26:33):
So technically the NFL lost money on that deal because
he didn't play the game. So he still since he
makes three hundred thousand a game, and he was fined
fifty thousand, So he still made two hundred and fifty
thousand dollars for spitting on Dak Prescott.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 6 (26:46):
Yeah, well there you go. And when they said why
did the announcers and the camera guys even bring attention
to it? Well, the cameras were on him and I
forget who it was on the.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Call, do you remember Greg?

Speaker 6 (26:59):
But they were they were like, whoa, what's going on?
Why is there a flag? That they were trying to
figure it out, and then the cameras picked.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
Up on what happened in a slow motion.

Speaker 4 (27:08):
By the way, the people are saying on text Nation
that current, the current NFL likely runs in the ring.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Probably pretty good, believe.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
So you know how we have all this You don't
know what's fake, you don't know what's real.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
So there's a story today that Mitt Romney has fallen
for the fake stuff that people put out of all
this satire stuff because you don't know your Babylon Bees,
your onions, your oh all these I mean, there's there's
stuff out there all the time that you don't know
whether it's real or Donalds.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
And we're so crazy. Everything is believable because some of
the stuff that actually does go on. Is that bizarre?

Speaker 4 (27:45):
So apparently the most goble Apparently there was an article
and something called the Salt Lake Tribune. Okay, that's a
flag right there, that jokingly questioned Mitt Romney's devotion to Mormonism.

Speaker 3 (27:59):
And it was and it was just a joke.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
It wasn't right, and it says the purpose of it
was the Pope fund if people who gossip about the
religious beliefs of celebrities that they've never met and likely
would never meet. It was almost like, well, I heard
that Mitt Romney don't even go to church.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
You know.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
The person was showing your people say things about people
that I know I did what they're talking about in
that was the the whole point. But Mitt Romney saw
it and this was the quote I heard. Mitt Romney
has gone to church since two thousand and five. And
this was supposed to be from some fictitious busy boxy
since two thousand and five.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
Goys. Yeah, so that's funny.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
So he so Romney thought it was real and put
out a statement saying, I'm a true blue member of
the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and
and I attend sacrament meeting every Sunday and enjoy service in.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
The Temple, which well, all that sounds creepy.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
But anyway says we love our church and the callings
we have received in our homeward. A poorly sourced article
whatever said otherwise, And I want you to know that
that's laughable. And he even puts the the peak the
paper as if it's real.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
He tagged him. Yeah, yeah, he tagged him in it,
and it's fake. It's not real.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
It would be like Babylon b saying something about one
of us and we put out a statement that that's
not true. And so there's so much of it out there.
There's so much of it out there. It really is hard.
It's very difficult to discern.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
But so it is.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
I want to I want to laugh at the fact
he got food by it, but at the same time,
it's we've been food by him from time to Oh yeah,
I mean this morning, we're about to have an all
you can eat buffet.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
McDonald's and Branson. Yeah so, but he but he got
some Mady went out there and put a big statement out.

Speaker 6 (29:45):
You know what he did that he saw that himself,
didn't run it past his staff. Yeah, let's check this
salt Lect Tribune now right, and look just on with us.
Adler and I fly cover for each us each other
all the time, and I'll send something Adler, He'll go, hey,
that's not that's that's fake whatever.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Remember it looks so real. Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
In the past, people would send us articles on outrageous stuff,
and then if you look at the other articles and
you see how bizarre they are, it'll tip you.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
This is. Yeah. A lot of time they would have
the other articles and some of them would be so ridiculous.
You go, that ain't true. Well that's not true, but
this ain't true either.

Speaker 6 (30:22):
Yeah, And these x accounts, like when Trump went to
the US Open, they were like, everybody's saying that he
got boomed. Look look at the crowd and and him
coming in too, you know, to the US Open. And
it was footage of when he was in Iowa at
a football game and not even there, and and but
people are acting like that's that's what it was.

Speaker 5 (30:42):
But if you don't pick.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
Up on it, you don't know.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
I know, Romney got some upset. He's going to Branston,
did it all you can eat buffet McDonald's.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
This is the Rick Burger's show. The people who do
like this show, you wouldn't like anyway, the Rick Budget's show.

Speaker 3 (31:07):
That's right, you talking about Debbie Downers.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
All right, So they're saying that you were right. I
think Speedy or Adler whoever. They're saying that number is
a formula for the fine that we got, and they
said CBS Sports says it is equal to his game check.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
So I thought he made.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
More than that per game. But yeah, the breakdown, but
you never know how his money comes in. Maybe his
game money is fifty two.

Speaker 7 (31:41):
Is a game check like a like in fighting, it's
like you get this much to show and this much
to win, or you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
That is game check a specific term for something.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Just could be that his salary the way it is
set up that the game check is that, and he
gets paid this for achieving this incentive and he gets
paid this for that. You know, there's no telling how
the actual salary. You can't just take his salary and
divide it by games. It's probably all comes in different ways,
and his game check may be fifty twenty two.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
So their saying CBS Sports says, that is what that
is so Speedy was talking about and we certainly don't
want to be radio goobs and so.

Speaker 4 (32:25):
Butusion, but it brings up a good discussion. So you know,
these silly today's nationals whatever some of you do, these
things still exist. There's versions of the microwave versions. Yeah,
you have microwave versions. We even have some breakfast ones
in there. Really if you look at that's what those
that is. Yeah. But when you talk about TV dinners

(32:47):
and they're doing some sort of TV Dinner Day or whatever, yes,
national TV din some.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Of you may not remember. And Swanson was the walking Dolphin.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
Yep, the TV dinner As RFK Junior would say, Greg,
as if he's being electrocuted, as you pointed out, would say,
that was the beginning of the end. That's when chronic
illness for America began, because that has to be the
most unhealthy attempts at feeding America there ever was. Yeah,

(33:16):
And it was all about convenience. And as Greg pointed out,
there were no microwave ovens. No, you had to put
in the oven, which made it took forever. And you
never got the mashed potatoes. No, you always thought it
was ready. And you were writing on it and you
get in the middle part and when we'd still be
salisbury steak.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
The greatest thing, oh I did that was the most popular.
I loved it.

Speaker 6 (33:40):
The first TV dinner was a Thanksgiving meal turkey, peas,
cornbread dressing, and sweet potatoes. And Rick mentioned Swanson C. A.
Swanson and SOS. They developed the TV dinners in nineteen
fifty three.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
And you were just supposed to heat them up, get
out your TV trades and watch TV. Yeah, and you
just start taking the foil off and let me let
me tell you, these things.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
Were an uphill climb. Like Greg said, they never were right.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
We never got you never and you always had to
put it back in there. Are you old enough to
even remember how I'm talking about this stuff? With your microwave?
Now I'm talking about the TV TV dinner? Do you
remember it?

Speaker 7 (34:19):
My biggest reference point for TV dinners is when in
Die Hard, Bruce Willis is inside the little the shaft,
you know, the air.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
Conditioning tube or whatever. He's all stuck in there and
he goes, now, I know what a TV dinner feels like.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
And you didn't know what that meant.

Speaker 5 (34:34):
I was like, what's that reference?

Speaker 3 (34:35):
Like? You didn't get that reference.

Speaker 7 (34:36):
I had to kind of like do a little bit
of research. Yes, so you guys want to hear that line?

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Uh do you have it? Yeah? TV?

Speaker 6 (34:50):
Like Okay, I saw a report on him from the family.

Speaker 5 (34:55):
Yeah, it's so sad. He's one of my favorites.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Honestly, this it's hard.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Didn't know that. I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
I love Bruce Willis.

Speaker 5 (35:02):
I didn't Willie.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
He is one of those and I know we won't
get off on this. He is one of those. If
I see him in something, I will.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
Get Yeah, it gives in credibility.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
I did it one time. I don't anymore. Okay, almost
like it's I said I did at one time. If
he was in it, I would watch the movie. I
no longer feel that. Well, he he fell into that
trap late that like in the Quade and John Travolta,
they'll make movies they probably shouldn't have made. You know,
there's something about it this way. Maybe it's because I'm

(35:32):
aware of his situation. I'm aware of his current situation
and it makes me sad. It could be that. Yeah,
I want you to watch.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Nicholas Cage's movie Is it Pig?

Speaker 4 (35:43):
You told about May be the worst movie I've ever seen.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
I don't have a guy that you know in it.

Speaker 6 (35:49):
It's like tasting something bad, going hate tasting it. I'm
just saying it was unbelievable.

Speaker 5 (35:52):
Like he was like a shruffle, a truffle finder.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Yes it was, yeah, yeah, yeah, this was Seriously, it's
really it's it's ridiculous how bad it is. Did you
know that? Did you know?

Speaker 4 (36:07):
I heard him comment on this. I'm sure that we've
said this before, but he was asked about these horrible
why do you do you ever say no to anything?
And and he said, I just enjoy acting.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
He said.

Speaker 4 (36:20):
It would be like asking somebody you know who likes
to shoot basketball, why did you get into that pickup
game when you were like this? He goes, I just
if I get an opportunity to go and act, he said,
I like to try new things. See if I can
pull off this roll. This role might be interesting to me,
but it may be a better actor. Second on the list, Joe,
you need to watch that one too, because if it's Joe,

(36:44):
if you want to get into bad Nicholas Cage movies,
I think it's never ending.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
You're right, I mean, he's got some good ones. He's
got some great ones.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
I watched corn Air like at least once a year.
Oh yeah, John Madden, the Mad movie coming up might
be good.

Speaker 6 (36:59):
I'm nervous, you know him. I gotta tell you, I'm
seeing the side by sides. He's kind of pulling it
off a little bit.

Speaker 3 (37:07):
Well, I'd rather see him do that than do pig.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
I'll say that, you got my truffle finding.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Well, now do you get decided that Christian Beale is gonna,
you know, gonna be playing Yeah, which means he'll he'll
act like Al Davis al Davis even when he's off
the game. He's one of those that's an actor. He's
so good. He's weird. Yeah, yeah, but he't play a character.

Speaker 7 (37:26):
I don't want to chill out with Daniel d Lewis,
but boy, he's a great actor.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
Yes, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (37:32):
He just I don't think I would have a good
time with him, you know, but boy, he can act.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
It would almost be you like. And I hate to
bring back this and I respect him. I like him.
I would like to hang out with him again. But
Jim Caviezel regretted coming to the Rick and Bubba show.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
I think you're right.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Well, it's I think shocking.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
It was an awkward walk to the car.

Speaker 4 (37:53):
That moment was, which was brought up at Jordi Henson's funeral. Sadly,
I was not prepared to have my two goofy friends
Jordie Henson and Mark Garnett. You ever noticed when your
friends cause a moment that you're trying to get some
cred and they ruin it? I mean we have Jim Caviz. Yeah,
for a long time he stayed hung out. Yeah, on

(38:15):
the off air, on the show, over at the Broadcast
Plaza and Teleport, Rick and Bubba Days and my stupid
friends who I allowed to come and meet him never
learned that Lesson upset him by asking him to sign
their bibles. I'm not sure what the thought process on
that was, because that would be kind of it would

(38:36):
be awkward.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
Yeah, that was over the line when he when he
asked him to break bread, that was over the line.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
They started. Did he look at him go, you know
I was just playing gen He said it. Well, it
happened twice.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
He said, First of all, I will not sign your
Bible as Jesus No, because I'm not Jesus, and then
they said, no, we're just kidding around. Would you just
sign it as Jim covizl. He goes, I don't autograph
the Holy Word of God. Odd, but he said it
very calm.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
I don't. I don't And then everybody's awkward, and I
thought I just looked at him, said, hey, guys, thanks
a lot. Thanks. So I don't think Jim Caviezel.

Speaker 4 (39:14):
I think even if we were to invite him back
to this show, I would hope he wouldn't remember I
was on bricking.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
But you know what, I was a very awkward moment. Yeah.
I remember him in Ryan Greenwood's office, and Ryan had
his dolphin stuff up in Covisel. I may be wrong here.

Speaker 4 (39:28):
His brother in law was a coach for the Dolphins, really,
and they got to go into the dolphin talk. So
at least he did get to experience that, not you know,
just being creeped out by somebody wanted to sign it by. Yeah,
you know how you're doing everything you can and then
somebody else like that ruins it.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
Did you have no control over him?

Speaker 9 (39:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (39:44):
Let's look at Greg with that one.

Speaker 4 (39:45):
No good, no good deed goes unpunished. You let your
friends come in and look what they do.

Speaker 1 (39:50):

Okay, so.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
That's good, that's great. Don't underestimate him. I've made a
living out of people underestimating my legs.

Speaker 4 (42:15):
I'm sorry the text nation always thought you were kidding
about speedy skinny legs. Just looked up and saw him.
He has a thigh gap women would kill for.

Speaker 3 (42:24):
That's hilarious. I gotta tell you, that's funny.

Speaker 6 (42:29):
If my boys could hear that.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
They would be maybe racent.

Speaker 7 (42:35):
Hear you my gap overrated, by the way, what's the
why do women even care about that.

Speaker 5 (42:41):
And want that want that you really want to go there,
I got I got way overrated and it could mean
something else about the woman's physic physicality.

Speaker 6 (42:49):
By the way, what did you just say, I done
that coach talk?

Speaker 5 (42:55):
No, that's real talk.

Speaker 4 (42:58):
Those of you that don't know. Adler is now going
to be a little league coach for the very first time.
He's taking on the socialist, communist sport of soccer.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
Uh. But these are just little kids, so it can
still be fun.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
There, all right.

Speaker 4 (43:10):
Uh, it's it's really, if someone said truthfully on text
line yesterday, when little children play it, it's really swarm ball.

Speaker 3 (43:19):
Yeah, everybody can kick it at once.

Speaker 4 (43:21):
So last week, so last night you had your first
what was are we picking teams?

Speaker 3 (43:25):
Last night? Coaches meeting? What was it?

Speaker 5 (43:27):
This was all that?

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Okay, all of that.

Speaker 5 (43:32):
Coaches meeting? Practice?

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Oh, we practice and then a game again? Yes? Yeah,
what does that work?

Speaker 7 (43:42):
Removers and we're shakers and we get things done. Must
stand on business, okay, ten toes deep. I'm standing on business.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
Okay, I'll give you this. You want to get it done?
So what was it kind of a let's divide up
and play.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
Some yes, Uh, so is it a practice game or
a real game scrimmage?

Speaker 7 (43:59):
There's many these kids are these kids are? I mean,
you can call it a real game or not.

Speaker 5 (44:06):
It doesn't matter at all. Jumping in you already. Okay.

Speaker 7 (44:11):
So after the show yesterday, I go and get me
a whistle.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
Coach, we got we got pictures.

Speaker 5 (44:21):
So I got to get a whistle, and mister chan
is alive.

Speaker 6 (44:24):
Okay, okay, fi okay, barely please count the kids around
that one soccer ball.

Speaker 7 (44:31):
So I requested I roll up and I meet the
other coaches and we have we have six coaches.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
You come up on you tippy toes. You're doing? Yeah,
I played.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
I played a little.

Speaker 3 (44:46):
You might recognize me. I was pretty big standard at
the y.

Speaker 5 (44:49):
They called me the mosquito for a reason.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
Yeah, I go ahead, they did.

Speaker 5 (44:53):
Actually that was my nickname when I played football on
the Why uh tackle? I did play tackle football? Okay?

Speaker 3 (44:59):
Such?

Speaker 5 (45:02):
What's the name that guy on ESPN that's attacking every
every commentator that didn't play. He can't attack this guy?

Speaker 3 (45:08):
Right?

Speaker 7 (45:10):
So I get there, we talk, I meet the other coaches,
and y'all it is clear because I also I played.

Speaker 5 (45:16):
I played soccer in high school.

Speaker 3 (45:18):
That's all right, And.

Speaker 7 (45:20):
Y'all are looking at this. I'm gonna set that up
and then I'll play. Y'all are looking at that like
you want me to play it right now.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
I'm just I'm trying to examine the world. I'm trying
to put myself there where you were. Okay, okay, And
so I get there and way too. I'm one of
the few coaches that has played soccer.

Speaker 7 (45:39):
That's just it is. And so they actually tried. They
were like, and so, Adler, you will have you with.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
The older kids because you have the most yes.

Speaker 7 (45:49):
Yeah, And I was like, well, I felt bad. I
felt bad because I want to be a helper. And
this is a this is a church thing. It's at
a church.

Speaker 3 (45:57):
Put you out front.

Speaker 7 (45:58):
It's actually my my church, Hope Community Church. That's my
My little brother Jake is now the worship leader there.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
Of course, now we're bragging.

Speaker 5 (46:07):
And I played. I played drums there a couple of
times a month.

Speaker 7 (46:09):
And it's a small church and it is it's the
smallest church I've gone to my entire life.

Speaker 5 (46:14):
And it's it's I love it.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
It's amazing. I bet you're kind of digging it.

Speaker 5 (46:17):
It really is really nice. The soccer yes, and there's
there's a soccer league.

Speaker 7 (46:22):
And so I get there and they're like, we're gonna
you know what you're doing, We're gonna get you with
the older kids. And I was like, well, okay, I
actually I've got my five year old daughter here. I
would I would love to actually coach her team, if
that's okay, And I'm not trying to I say, can
I make that request?

Speaker 5 (46:38):
I didn't say.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
How it is.

Speaker 4 (46:43):
I wish I could have been there to watch how
socially awkward that norde.

Speaker 6 (46:49):
So real quick because I'm trying to visualize it. Hair
up or down?

Speaker 5 (46:53):
Well I had to do backwards hat hair down?

Speaker 3 (46:55):
Oh no, so your back cool.

Speaker 5 (46:57):
That's as cool as I get.

Speaker 3 (46:59):
Okay, that's when you're really going for cool.

Speaker 5 (47:01):
That's as cool as I get.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
Guys, and you're making this request.

Speaker 5 (47:06):
Okay, yes, because that's as cool as I get. All right,
I'm I don't get very cool these days.

Speaker 3 (47:12):
That's as cool is you get the older kids.

Speaker 4 (47:15):
You you know what you were saying without saying it.
Everybody knows I'm the cool dad, right right.

Speaker 5 (47:20):
I did wear my cool dad's shirt and I'm just kidding.

Speaker 4 (47:24):
Why would you to coach and your daughter's out there playing,
they wouldn't realize that you're going to coach you.

Speaker 7 (47:29):
Well, that's what I just said, I if I could,
I would like to make that request. I said the
word request, not even like I'm not saying yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (47:38):
So they're like, okay, yeah, that's great. So then we
just have a big group of kids, I would guess
like forty kids something like that. And we were like,
all right, if you are in fourth grade or above,
raise your hand. So because we're trying to so we
were just gonna.

Speaker 7 (47:54):
Split up and have a big kid league and a
little kid league.

Speaker 3 (47:57):
It's very loose. It's very just are you playing other
church or the in the leagues all in the church
within the church community, oh, inter squatting, Like you're just
we play among the kids of the church in the community. Yes,
and we divide up and it's supposed to be fun
and learn the game.

Speaker 5 (48:13):
Until it didn't.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
That's right, until until backwards cap with hair down ruins
it for everybody.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
He won't coach stanks a little, none of that's act.
By the end of the practice, they.

Speaker 5 (48:24):
Did provide a whistle, Like I said, got one bought
some cones. I also bought some brought some cones.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
Trying to put you with the older kids.

Speaker 5 (48:34):
They were like, man, this guy is prepared.

Speaker 3 (48:36):
And that's Greg's point. That's why they kept trying to
move you to the older kids.

Speaker 4 (48:39):
You bragged at you bragged about your expertise, you brought cones,
you had a whistle where else you think, it looks
like you have a plan.

Speaker 7 (48:47):
And so we we we we're trying to break the
kids up, and we're like, if you're in fourth grade
over here, and this little girl is like, I'm in
fourth grade, and we're like, you're in fourth grade. She's like, yes,
I'm in fourth grade. We're like, okay, so we what
We send her over there and the fourth and fifth
graders are just so much bigger than her, and what's

(49:07):
going on?

Speaker 3 (49:07):
What is you're really you're.

Speaker 5 (49:10):
In fourth grade?

Speaker 7 (49:10):
She's like yeah, And I go how old are you?
And she goes, I'm four. And I said, okay, good job.

Speaker 5 (49:20):
Come over here, kid, all right, and so that and
that was the beginning of all of it. You know
what I'm saying, all right, Okay, yes, yes, guys.

Speaker 7 (49:32):
It ended up being all the parents are on one sideline.
And that is the side where the younger kids played.
So even if you were an older kids, I was exactly.
I was on display, y'all.

Speaker 5 (49:46):
I'm like.

Speaker 3 (49:48):
Everything.

Speaker 7 (49:49):
The adults can hear everything I'm saying, and that's fine,
but I felt I mean, I don't mind them hearing it,
but I felt more pressure to be better.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
Of course you did, because they are watching you and
you saw the I hope and we'll come back. I
hope you felt the pressure to behave and not not
lose your cool, not do anything. They'd go, boy, he's
really intense.

Speaker 9 (50:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
Yeah, But I will say this because of the sport,
and I use that term loosely that you chose to coach.
If you walk up there with the other dads and
say it's football, you wouldn't have been the coolest coach.
But on the soccer pitch, and you're definitely the guy
that looks like he knows the most soccery, you are
the coolest soccer coach for sure.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Yeah. There are other coaches like, Man, I'm glad we
got Chris out here.

Speaker 4 (50:33):
I got high expectations to And it was baseball. Probably
not if it was basketball, surely.

Speaker 5 (50:38):
Not definitely not basketball.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
It was football, no way maybe, but soccer you're the guy. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (50:46):
So, and I handed out lots of pre stuff, you know,
to promote socialism, you know, okay, and then some nil
deals we were started getting some of.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
That guy ok.

Speaker 5 (50:56):
I got video for you guys.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
Is the Rick just show. He was told good luck
finding a job that would pay him to be the
class clown. Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
And America is with us today. We thank you for
being with us.

Speaker 4 (51:31):
A couple of things to be aware of coming up
this weekend and then one uh in a couple of
weeks this weekend. If you're in Mantachie, Mississippi, Centerville Baptist Church,
Blake Prime speaking at Man Church on Saturday night, those
details at Themanchurch dot com. If you are a man, woman,
or child and you would like to be with me

(51:52):
at Gaston Baptist Church on Sunday night, Boonville, Mississippi. I'll
be there and that is open to the entire fam,
a free event. They do want you to want to
know if you're coming because they're serving barbecue for you
if you want it. They'll take care of dinner too,
So we'll just let them know that. Find that link
at the manchurch dot Com under events too. Then looking
ahead to the twenty seventh of September, this is what

(52:15):
we call a Manchurch one day where three of us
will go and speak in three different sessions on a Saturday,
September the twenty seventh will be in Orange, Texas at
First Baptist Church. Those details are also at the manchurch
dot Com. Rich Wingo and Andy Blanks will join me.
There should be a blast head lunch with Wingo. Yesterday
he told me tell all of you Hello, Hey, what's

(52:36):
that Rich? Yep, so he's and he said, I heard
that Adler's coaching. You know, Riches played little ball. He
coached one of his son's coaches like Greg's son, and
now Adler, for the first time ever, has started coaching.
He is involved in his churches and communities, kind of

(52:57):
recreational gathering around the game of soccer. Yes, uh, and
little children are playing of various ages. Adler the most
expertise from these dads. No surprise that they are.

Speaker 7 (53:13):
Not the most expertise, but one was more the only
one of two. There were six coaches, and I was
one of two that had actually played.

Speaker 4 (53:22):
And you had cap on backward, yeah, hair down cool
as it gets. Yeah, West shorts on whistle whistle shorts,
ony T shirt.

Speaker 5 (53:31):
Yes, same, I just wore the same clothes that I wore.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
About tub sox, Did you get some tube sox?

Speaker 5 (53:35):
I thought about getting some tube sox and some of
those black like just black shoes that you know, just
some black shoes, but they were twenty four ninety nine.
I just thought about them in the island, like, I
don't know if that joke is worth it, right, So
I didn't go.

Speaker 4 (53:49):
So you and you have now because your daughter is five, Yes,
you wanted the four and five year olds.

Speaker 5 (53:55):
I wanted the young kid.

Speaker 3 (53:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (53:56):
We just split it into two.

Speaker 7 (53:58):
So we split them into I guess it would be
we had forty kids, and we split him into four teams,
two teams of old kids.

Speaker 4 (54:06):
And you're coaching the one of the two young kids.
Teams are both of them.

Speaker 5 (54:09):
I'm coaching one of the kids young and.

Speaker 4 (54:11):
Another guy that of course didn't play, just coaching the others,
staring him down a little bit. Yeah, and you Ted
Lasso already?

Speaker 3 (54:19):
Yes, Yes, any g l ms easy? What easy?

Speaker 5 (54:25):
Just saying so Aaron was not able to make it,
so there were not.

Speaker 6 (54:30):
Any question on the splitting up of two teams.

Speaker 3 (54:34):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (54:35):
Did was it like backyard football where it's like, yeah,
I'll take that one, I'll take that one. Or did
y'all just say, hey, this bunch, get over here and this, like,
do you have the better team?

Speaker 3 (54:43):
Big kids? Did you pick Ruby? Did you pick Ruby?
And all Mexicans? I was sick Surgius.

Speaker 7 (54:50):
Some kid named Pedro came up like and I was like,
I want that kid on my team.

Speaker 5 (54:54):
But he was older, so he had to go that way.

Speaker 7 (54:56):
But we had we had all the young kids, and
we just drew him a line down in the middle
and we were just like, pushed this way, pushed that way.
We split it up, and so it ended up being
eleven on eleven. Uh, and y'all, I got to say
that split.

Speaker 11 (55:08):
I was.

Speaker 5 (55:08):
I got lucky on the split.

Speaker 7 (55:10):
We And I actually told my team this after the
they scored the first goal. I go, guys, we've got
them on speed and we've got them on side. We
should not be losing this game right now.

Speaker 3 (55:19):
You're already said that.

Speaker 5 (55:20):
I said that fifteen minutes. I said that to the kids,
and I don't even know what to do, right. I
shouldn't have.

Speaker 3 (55:25):
Said that did y'all win?

Speaker 5 (55:28):
Toasted them? It was three zero after that.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Oh, so there you go.

Speaker 3 (55:31):
So you won four to one? Won three to one
is three to one, three to one.

Speaker 5 (55:35):
I'm sorry, So it was anyway, So things are going.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
I didn't realize when I when it was me and
and Reggie, the other coach of the little kids. Oh,
now I'm coaching. At first I was coaching with Reggie,
and now I'm coaching against Reggie.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
Suddenly Reggie looks you heal its different, doesn't he?

Speaker 8 (55:52):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (55:53):
The other okay, oh okay, here we go. Now I'm
getting serious.

Speaker 6 (55:58):
How did you divide? You lose any of your kids?
I mean, did you have like little vest on them
to have represent one team?

Speaker 3 (56:03):
How do you know who we?

Speaker 7 (56:05):
What we did was just get it into the kids heads.
You are going that way, you are going this way.
You kicked the ball that way, you kicked the ball down.

Speaker 3 (56:13):
We get some pullovers or something. Yeah, No, I mean,
like how they know that coach Chris is my coach.
They know that?

Speaker 7 (56:18):
Yeah, we that's I just nailed that into their minds.
And so we actually ended up this really helped naming
the teams. And then because Reggie I realized his team
has a team name.

Speaker 5 (56:29):
I'm like, oh my good.

Speaker 7 (56:32):
And so Reggie's all cool over there, going all right,
team hot Dog. Let's go team hot Dog. I was like,
that's a good name, is it?

Speaker 5 (56:41):
It is really good? Who doesn't like hot dogs?

Speaker 3 (56:43):
Yeah? Kids love hot dogs?

Speaker 5 (56:45):
I love hot Dog?

Speaker 3 (56:48):
Team the weenies and also what do we go?

Speaker 5 (56:50):
All right, guys, what are we going to name our team?

Speaker 7 (56:52):
And now the suggestions are coming out with one kid
is like team Chili Dogs and I was like, that's
actually good because the chili dog is a step up
for my hot dog?

Speaker 5 (57:00):
Is that dog?

Speaker 3 (57:02):
And yes?

Speaker 5 (57:05):
And then so now one kid's like dinosaurs.

Speaker 7 (57:07):
Shark that thing, and I was like, okay, that's two animals.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
That's good.

Speaker 7 (57:13):
So I was like, what about and they're they're throwing
it me. I what about team? And I this is selfish?
Oh no, I go Team Eagle and there it is.

Speaker 5 (57:21):
Because you know adler Adler means eagle in German.

Speaker 3 (57:26):
So did you win?

Speaker 5 (57:28):
We won?

Speaker 3 (57:29):
I mean did you get the name?

Speaker 7 (57:30):
Oh yeah, the kids liked that and I was like, awesome,
all right, team Eagle this way, Team Eagle, this way,
the Eagle I should.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Have you should have was Reggie physically as cool as you?

Speaker 5 (57:45):
Reggie is as cool as it gets.

Speaker 3 (57:47):
About what about his hair?

Speaker 5 (57:49):
Reggie is as cool as it gets. I got it,
got it like, let me put it this way. I
can never be as cool as Reggie.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
Yeah, I understand. You can't.

Speaker 5 (57:59):
He's got me be forever.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
You're never even we had on backwards.

Speaker 5 (58:02):
He's col yes, yes, way cool.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (58:05):
So so honestly, he's got this cracker beat all day long.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
Okay, So it would have been a good name for the team.

Speaker 6 (58:19):
And hey, look you could have been Team Chin and
brought little mister Chin to every game. He could have
been the masks the mascot, even though he's got really
foggy water and I'm concerned about him.

Speaker 5 (58:29):
No, that's actually algae growing on the side, which is good.
That's good for the water. It's good for water, a
healthy ecosystem. All right. So I'm gonna get to this clip.
The clip is hilarious.

Speaker 3 (58:38):
Oh we got thirty seconds, buddy, you want to come back.

Speaker 5 (58:43):
I'm trying to get it just done.

Speaker 7 (58:46):
You know, I don't test well with women or men, children,
Christian Jews, Muslims.

Speaker 5 (58:56):
I don't test well with any of those groups.

Speaker 3 (58:58):
Of people.

Speaker 5 (59:02):
Himisters like me, Hemisters like me. That's it, okay, motorcycle rider, well,
metal heads like me.

Speaker 3 (59:10):
Metal heads remember this, remember this because I've been at
this a long time and I've experienced this myself.

Speaker 4 (59:17):
People don't like have to like you to still be entertained,
but that's true. Our goal is not to be like
just to be entertained.

Speaker 3 (59:24):
There you go. Okay, I feel better And that all
that was Pray twenty twenty. Everybody loves you now. Well,
well you know it's a girl.

Speaker 7 (59:33):
A little girl comes up to me and she goes,
you have long hair, but you're a boy.

Speaker 11 (59:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (59:40):
I go, yeah, I'm like a professional wrestler.

Speaker 3 (59:43):
Did you scared?

Speaker 5 (59:44):
I think that was my answer? And they didn't like that.

Speaker 1 (59:46):
Is the Rick Burgess Show. America sleeps well every night
just knowing these four men are on the air, the Rick.

(01:00:11):
We're just shows.

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
Here we go, America, thank you.

Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
For being with us, having a blessed as always.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Glad you're here.

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
More to come, Adler, the first time ever all of
us have been through this as dads. My goodness, Speedy
and Gregor granddad's now and Adler just now in that
world of coaching, his kids in Little league for the
first time. Ruby is first a little recreational soccer league.

(01:00:45):
Adler is the coach. He's coaches first game. Victory, three
to one.

Speaker 5 (01:00:54):
I'm not trying to brag this, just what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:00:56):
What happened. Is there anybody keeping score?

Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
But you.

Speaker 5 (01:01:00):
I mean the parents in their minds, But people weren't like, yeah,
it's three to one or whatever, like I.

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Was in my mind.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
Yeah, okay, any any early indications about parents, you know?

Speaker 7 (01:01:11):
It was it was. It was a high pressure situation because,
like I said.

Speaker 5 (01:01:16):
I'm on, well, we're talking about the side of the
field where there's there's yeah, because there's forty kids there.

Speaker 7 (01:01:21):
So that there was I mean, there was fifty sixty
parents right there on the sideline. A lot of you know,
both mom and dad are gonna come and watch their
kids first ever soccer game, you know.

Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
So it was high pressure. And let's be honest, I'm
a liability.

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
Yeah, they don't know that. They don't know that, but
you do in your mind?

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
Now do you do in my mind?

Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
Based on your presentation, do you think some of the
parents were over there going I hope our kids didn't
end up on that team.

Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
Yeah, you know, bad influence or whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
Right, but no, but Betty smoke, I'll tell you one thing.
The ones who had kids on your team, I tell
what they can do, enjoy their first victory.

Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
Everything.

Speaker 5 (01:01:57):
So Team Eagle is we're running on the field crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:02:01):
So I bought those little flat cones, you know, the
like more flat comes. Yes, I bought twenty five of them,
used all twenty five.

Speaker 5 (01:02:08):
I mean you could tell kids.

Speaker 7 (01:02:10):
I was just throwing them down, like you can tell them, hey, y'all,
go to the line, or you go to this whatever,
run to the line and come back, and they'll run
to the wrong line or run the wrong direction or whatever.

Speaker 5 (01:02:19):
Yeah, I'm throwing cones down.

Speaker 7 (01:02:20):
You stand on this one, you stand on that, when
you stand on this, when you get to the back
of the line.

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
Back.

Speaker 7 (01:02:24):
I'm making cone lines so that kids know, all right,
this is the this is where we go.

Speaker 5 (01:02:28):
Because they're I mean, these I was dealing with four
year olds. Yeah, they're you know, spatially aware at all.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
Your tone? Is it sweeter than it is now?

Speaker 12 (01:02:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:02:37):
Or you did you get because you can get intentse
and and then yeah you can bark, yeah, you you
you can get a little annoyed.

Speaker 5 (01:02:46):
I think I did. Okay, I didn't. I didn't push
any kids. Are you fun?

Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Were kids?

Speaker 5 (01:02:51):
I got in one kid's face and yell, you think
this is a game?

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Right? That? Is it true? You had a fog machine
in the van, and when the door's open, it's like
it came out and stepped out.

Speaker 5 (01:03:02):
Yeah. Yeah, And then I was I was blasting who
let the dogs out?

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Because everybody loves that song.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
And everybody wants to know who let them out?

Speaker 4 (01:03:10):
Of course, you let your kids come out of the
back of that sweet van because it's big enough to put.

Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Them all in it. Yeah, that's how y'all entered. They
come out of that sweet man to free bird with eagle.

Speaker 6 (01:03:19):
Oh yeah, that's every game, right, that's that's every game.

Speaker 9 (01:03:24):
In the van.

Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
We sit in the van, get pumped up during the
chill part of the song. Wait for the five six
minutes however long that is. Then when the beat drops,
we come out.

Speaker 3 (01:03:32):
And what does Riddy Van's aunt say to the audience?
What team is it? You want to cheer? And you
can hear in the van? You can? You can?

Speaker 5 (01:03:45):
You?

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
I heard it? Ten? Yes? And then yeah, run daddy.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Run with me?

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
All right, so you have footage I do.

Speaker 7 (01:03:54):
I'm he and this it's gonna be great for just
the radio audience too, okay, because you're gonna be able
to hear.

Speaker 5 (01:04:02):
What's actually happening.

Speaker 7 (01:04:04):
You're going to see three children fall within the first
two seconds of the video, right, and then you're gonna
hear my reaction throughout the video as children fall, because
lots of kids are going to And then we we
also did Yeah, I bought Ruby a pink ball and
that ended up being one of the game balls.

Speaker 5 (01:04:23):
We had lots of different.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Ball Is that Reggie, That's.

Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
I'll be cool Reggie. And the we did the new
ball format.

Speaker 7 (01:04:36):
That is, when the ball goes out of bounds, you
don't try to get that ball because they're all bunched
up on the sideline and they just all ran out
of bounds. You just go new ball, new ball, and
you throw a new ball kind of in the middle.

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Of the He's ready for it.

Speaker 5 (01:04:51):
All all the coaches are on the sideline ready for it.
With the new ball.

Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
I noticed that I decided to come to the game.
What am I doing?

Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
You've get you in a big fan of the show?

Speaker 7 (01:05:03):
Okay, everybody, everyone that you see on staff here knows
about you in the show and me and yeah, so.

Speaker 5 (01:05:14):
You don't know that we're very popular.

Speaker 3 (01:05:17):
You don't know that we're very popular. Our our black
numbers are my lot.

Speaker 5 (01:05:24):
Well I do too, so boom yeah, Greg.

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
You know what he said that? Don't you don't know
about wild? Do you? What's up?

Speaker 7 (01:05:32):
So that's what you're all gonna hear. And every time
you hear a new ball, that means it went out
of bounds. And here, every time you hear me go oh,
that means it went out of bounds as well.

Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
And that's on the ball right now.

Speaker 5 (01:05:43):
You're gonna hear uh, let's see. Ruby's kind of hidden
in this.

Speaker 7 (01:05:45):
Okay, Okay, you're gonna you're gonna hear me talking, talking
a lot and and encouraging Rick.

Speaker 6 (01:05:52):
We'll be able to catch his tone here, okay, oh, one, two, three.

Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Three down?

Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
Yeah, let's go push it.

Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Okay, let's go, y'all, new ball. He really likes his whistle.
Way to get up, buddy, way to get up. Three
more have fallen on one feet hard. There you go, bro,
there you got.

Speaker 6 (01:06:21):
So we're just at recesses where we are four years old.
Oh wow, one kid's got a little speed. Yes, yeah,
he's he on your team? Is how hard you think
he's sweating right now?

Speaker 5 (01:06:38):
Y'all? It was so much work.

Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Of course, it is so hard. You were exhausted, Yeah,
you were. I'm not sure about that footage, Adler. I
need as much as you can give me.

Speaker 5 (01:06:47):
I'm coaching and doing footage at the same time. The
footage was horrible. It was grass.

Speaker 6 (01:06:52):
The last part was But I need it as much
as that as you can give me.

Speaker 7 (01:06:55):
And I kept a small I kept it small because
I don't want to be showing anybody's kids.

Speaker 5 (01:07:00):
That's why I kept it. Just for y'all. I'll watching
on YouTube.

Speaker 3 (01:07:03):
Yeah, all right, so get it.

Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
Ruby claimed that she did score a goal and it
was such a mob.

Speaker 7 (01:07:12):
I don't know if that's true or not. But she
did get a sticker when we got home.

Speaker 5 (01:07:16):
Let's just say, oh, that's great, that's great.

Speaker 7 (01:07:19):
I'm doing a sticker chart now with Ruby. By the way,
did y'all do any kind of sticker chart thing when
you were kids? Did you get an allowance when you
were kids?

Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
You're getting allowance now, a little none of that. No
allowance when I was real young, just really when we
were kids, you read in trouble or you weren't. Yeah,
I just had chores to If I wanted to go
do something, I had to get I had to get
those done before I could leave the house.

Speaker 5 (01:07:41):
It's a reward system.

Speaker 4 (01:07:43):
Uh so Ruby Harris was pretty much do it we
say your pay a price.

Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Yeah, and that was that. Yes, that was that too well.

Speaker 7 (01:07:50):
I honestly in the last two days told Ruby, if
you if if we're not changing how we act, we're
just not gonna have any things. Baby, You're just gonna
slow lose possession of all your things because if you
can't be acting right, that Daddy's gonna have to have
some kind of consequences for you. And at the end
of all these decisions, at the end of these decisions.

Speaker 5 (01:08:10):
You're just not gonna own anything. She's five grades, so
she gets it.

Speaker 7 (01:08:13):
But there's so there's negative, there's negative, and there's positives. Right,
and then so with a sticker chart, anytime you do
some kind of good little thing like maybe you get
in the bath without whining, or you do you help
clean up your room, you get a sticker and if
you get ten stickers, then you can go get a toy.

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
How about that that sticker chart?

Speaker 7 (01:08:32):
My mom was real big on a sticker charts as
when I was a kid growing up.

Speaker 5 (01:08:36):
It helped motivate me to do right.

Speaker 3 (01:08:38):
All that stuff. Whoa you remove?

Speaker 5 (01:08:40):
Don't you generally don't take stickers off?

Speaker 6 (01:08:43):
But I'm just saying, let's say you get you caught stealing,
do you take some off?

Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
Like did your mom? Like you still say you stole
a keychain.

Speaker 7 (01:08:50):
I was in seventh grade, so I was done with
sticker charts, so I also should have known better, right,
I was trying to impress my friends. I didn't even
want the key chain. I can't stress that enough. Trying
to be cool, that's that's my that's my entire life.

Speaker 6 (01:09:03):
Yeah, did you scream to one of your players at
adult that's what to go, doll?

Speaker 5 (01:09:07):
What's that? Okay?

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
I got it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:09):
I got pumped up watching you. He cleared it was
a good clear.

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
I go yeah, no, no, no, bro, no doubt.

Speaker 6 (01:09:17):
You know what he's trying to sound hit in front
of that.

Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
He was trying to win. Don't be that guy. Don't
we're put team over here, Doll.

Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
You don't do that.

Speaker 7 (01:09:36):
I didn't do that, I said one time, on accident.
You be you because I was jokingly saying good job.

Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
Kid, jokingly saying you but I.

Speaker 5 (01:09:46):
Just said good job.

Speaker 3 (01:09:47):
Now you know he said it allowed went he wanted
to if you're having a good time to sports the
heart were like, come on now after the game.

Speaker 6 (01:10:04):
And this is when they tell Adler today that he
can no longer be.

Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (01:10:10):
Everything we volunteer for and everybody's playing a price. This
show comes with it.

Speaker 6 (01:10:15):
Yeah, I hope you were upfront with that and say, guys,
you realize we're gonna talk about this.

Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
The guy is gonna have fun with it.

Speaker 9 (01:10:21):
I didn't.

Speaker 5 (01:10:21):
I wouldn't as probably up front as I need to.

Speaker 7 (01:10:23):
But hey, the pastor of the church was actually there
who came up to me at one point.

Speaker 5 (01:10:27):
He goes, dude, you actually get it.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
You said, thanks dog.

Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
I was giving high fives to everybody, y'all.

Speaker 7 (01:10:31):
It's just about having fun having high fives in it.

Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
It was the weak Burchers show. He has no Greg
Bridges for his entire life, no set weick Birches.

Speaker 4 (01:10:53):
Alrighty, thanks for being with us America as we work
our way through another day, and we'll get the unscreen
phone calls today for sure, we've got some hay Burds.

Speaker 5 (01:11:05):
Hay Bird's coming up.

Speaker 4 (01:11:06):
Got other stories to discuss. Wednesday, Bible study back today.
If you're intrigued with that or enjoy that, or you
you are with us every week, maybe you'd.

Speaker 3 (01:11:16):
Like to be with us for the first time.

Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
But that noon Central one o'clock Eastern on our YouTube channel,
we continue our study of the Book of Job. The
archive will be out soon after all right, So let's uh,
let's let's talk a little bit here about college football
this weekend. Speedy was discussing, you know, there's always the
where's the college game day gonna be? Where's it gonna be?

Speaker 9 (01:11:38):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
Yeah, and it looks like they picked Knoxville. Yes, uh,
that'll be all.

Speaker 4 (01:11:42):
That'll be wild will Knoxville, Tennessee, Georgia. What are some
other interesting matchups this weekend? That's certainly a big one.

Speaker 3 (01:11:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:11:50):
Well, you know you have South Florida, who has surprised
everybody their first two wins.

Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
They're at Miami.

Speaker 6 (01:11:57):
Uh and and that's a you know, number five versus
number eighteen. See, you've got Arkansas and Ole, Miss Florida,
l s U Texas A and m Notre Dame Vanderbilt,
South Carolina, Alabama, Wisconsin. Let's see, Uh, Georgia, how about
Georgia Tech. You gotta be you know they're they're good

(01:12:20):
and they they're Clemson's at Georgia Tech.

Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
Uh and uh.

Speaker 6 (01:12:25):
In state rivalry on Friday night is Indiana and Indiana
State on the Big ten network.

Speaker 3 (01:12:31):
But I know Greg didn't look at Friday nights. So
that's just that's at it. That's at a glance. I
don't care.

Speaker 6 (01:12:37):
A South Alabama is another one and they they play
on the SEC network at eleven forty five am.

Speaker 3 (01:12:46):
Uh See.

Speaker 6 (01:12:47):
ABC has an eleven am game Saturday with Alabama Wisconsin
at Alabama.

Speaker 4 (01:12:53):
I'm in trigue. I'm intrigued with Alabama Wisconsin. I don't
like the eleven o'clock You're right, great, miserable.

Speaker 6 (01:12:58):
And then then then Georgia and ten See. We'll follow
that one at two thirty on ABC.

Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
Good matchup? Can Tennessee finally get over this Georgia? Wow?
Greg doesn't believe, do you?

Speaker 4 (01:13:09):
And they're saying there's gonna be special guest picker who
do y'all think? Speedy says it's down to y'all think
Dolly Parton or do you think Peyton Manning.

Speaker 3 (01:13:18):
Too obvious?

Speaker 6 (01:13:19):
I thought I thought that it was like an official announcement,
But it looks like the Knoxville News has their bracket
and it's down to the to the two of them,
Dolly and and Paige.

Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
You throw Garth Brooks out there, Greg, would you y
to be in Oklahoma? You would think he's He's an
Oklahoma steak guy. No brainer?

Speaker 6 (01:13:35):
Is Peyton Manning? I mean, yeah, but that's too obvious.
Get somebody.

Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
How about Dolly Parton? I know on there?

Speaker 7 (01:13:43):
Okay, something about the fact that it's at Tennessee. And
I didn't know this because I don't know anything, but
I did see these stats the other day under Josh
Hoopole hopeful.

Speaker 3 (01:13:55):
How do you say?

Speaker 7 (01:13:57):
Okay, I'm I'm tell I'm prefacing this with right, I
don't know anything.

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
So you're weighing into something beyond recreational soccer. We got it.

Speaker 7 (01:14:06):
Yes, they're twenty six and four at home since Josh
Hypel started pretty good home rerecord, they are nineteen and
one at home.

Speaker 5 (01:14:18):
Over the past two seasons.

Speaker 3 (01:14:21):
Hmmm.

Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
Something about something about it and who they lose to Isabama?

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
Who beat them? I don't know I'm sorry, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
I'm looking at that.

Speaker 5 (01:14:33):
Nineteen and one at home over the last two seasons.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
Who beat them at home in the last time.

Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
I was just wondering, is it Georgia? Okay? Oh, I
don't know, but I don't remember. But I'm just I'm wondering.

Speaker 6 (01:14:43):
I didn't know that I'm sitting here looking did I
didn't know justin Timberlake graduated from University of Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (01:14:49):
I knew it was from Tennessee. Huh oh, yeah, school,
it says Morgan Freeman. He was already famous before he
was at college.

Speaker 9 (01:14:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:14:59):
It's just it's just on the list here. Morgan Morgan
Wallen would be another famous Tennessee.

Speaker 5 (01:15:06):
Arkansas in twenty twenty four for most recent at home loss.

Speaker 4 (01:15:10):
So do they beat Georgia on the big game Saturday
afternoon in Knoxville?

Speaker 3 (01:15:17):
What say ye? I'm going with the No. There's something
about Tennessee. I just can't quite you just wonder. I
just it's like I can't quite believe I'm close. But
in these big games against equal an equal team, they
something happens.

Speaker 6 (01:15:39):
Until they do it, it's just forgive us Tennessee fans.
But until it happens, it's just hard to pick against Georgia,
isn't it. I'm sorry, but I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
Disrespect at all.

Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
There's no disrespect. Yeah, it's a lot of respect for Georgia.
Can we get traded on that?

Speaker 3 (01:15:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:15:58):
And Georgia's uh six and a half point favorite as
of right now.

Speaker 3 (01:16:02):
The game odds are.

Speaker 4 (01:16:04):
So Georgia beat them at home two years ago. Tennessee
hasn't beat Georgia in nine years.

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Hm, wow, nine years.

Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
It's just got to happen at something to do? Ye there?

Speaker 6 (01:16:17):
Yeah, and now, I mean it's it's uh in Knoxville,
you know college game days there ABC two thirty kick, it's, uh,
it's time here.

Speaker 3 (01:16:26):
This would be it. I will relax on game day
this week because Lee Corso won't be there. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
He has made me a nervous wreck the last few seasons.
All right, So I've become speedy on game days, so
I called, I'm sorry, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:16:39):
A LeAnn Morgan has been thrown out as Oh yeah
that's another that Yeah that would be a good yeah
LeAnn or.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
Oh funny. Yeah, she's I mean she's as big as
it gets, right, Yeah, yeah, Uh, those are those are
good references going to college there all the time. Oh,
yeah she is.

Speaker 5 (01:16:54):
I didn't know this, but yeah, she's a passionate fan.

Speaker 3 (01:16:56):
Of When she said every time someone sings Rocky Top,
she won if she it out with him, it's fun. Yeah,
Knoxville still in the area.

Speaker 6 (01:17:06):
Yeah, I think her and Morgan Walling. You think now
that we talk both of those, that we talk it out,
either one of those would be huge. I think Lea
and Morgan would be the most entertaining because she'd make.

Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
It for now.

Speaker 5 (01:17:18):
They're related right more?

Speaker 3 (01:17:21):
No Morgan? Yeah, kind of a weird universe, So I
see how they're not really.

Speaker 6 (01:17:28):
I called, did y'all catch the end of college game
Day this past weekend? I just found myself.

Speaker 4 (01:17:33):
Walking through and there it was no, wait a minute,
when he put on the buck, I haven't for the
last time this.

Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
Week just past we were wondering who see any of that?

Speaker 6 (01:17:41):
We were we were wondering who was going to feel
the void of coach Corso and and the head and
all that kind of stuff. And I think Pat McAfee
ended it and and he was hyping the crowd. He
gave his pick and everybody was was chanting he can
get a crowd chinting. I mean he does anybody put
a mascot? No, no, no, but but he kind of
the us out on a high saying, you know who

(01:18:02):
who was going to win and all that stuff. So
I guess maybe he and and had they had somebody
the the field goal challenge. Another kid won. Man, he
won two hundred thousand dollars and one hundred thousand dollars
went to charity. And this is Pat McAfee's money too.

Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
I saw something where Kirk curve straight or something accidentally
used the term s ob or something.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
Yes, I saw that.

Speaker 3 (01:18:22):
Oh I didn't hear. Was that this past week or
the week before? Well, I think he was kind of like,
that's one thing that get the crap out of that
one something.

Speaker 6 (01:18:30):
Okay, Well it surprised everybody because nobody the kids showed
up with cleats on. And you know there's a lottery
that you can you can sign up for and then
they'll just pick somebody to kick. They don't just select
him out of the crowd. So this kid showed up,
he was a lefty with some cleats on, and he
hed he dead centered it.

Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
Man, he won. They've ever went crazy nuts nuts.

Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
There it is visually.

Speaker 5 (01:18:53):
I don't want to play that.

Speaker 6 (01:18:54):
Yeah yeah, yeah done. Yeah yeah he went his best
friend was there.

Speaker 3 (01:19:02):
Everybody went nuts, man, believe it. And you can see that.
Mccabee told us howway like, oh my goodness. So that's
that'll be a big one. Got some big games again
this weekend.

Speaker 5 (01:19:16):
Yeah, surely that's a write off or something for mac.

Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
That's they're not taking out of that McAfee's wallet.

Speaker 6 (01:19:22):
Surely something they figured it out. I mean, it's his money.
I just don't know how they figured it out.

Speaker 3 (01:19:28):
Top of the hour.

Speaker 1 (01:19:30):

going that'll also be followed by by an additional seven

(01:21:47):
hour flight. It doesn't say, oh, Japan, it doesn't say that.
It says it's like I'm trying not to be jet
lagged upon a rib twelve hours ahead on the clock.

Speaker 3 (01:22:04):
Burge, please tell me your ways.

Speaker 4 (01:22:07):
You know, I think about George Costanzo. Do you remember
when Jerry went into George Costanza and Jerry was gonna
have to take a lot of detector tests.

Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
And he said, tell me your ways, George. There's no
greater liar on the planet than you. And he said,
I'm sorry, Jerry, I can't. He goes, that's like going
to Pavarati and say teach me to sing like you. Yeah,
I mean it just it just can't be done. And
you remember, right before Jerry went out the door, he said,
but Jerry, I will give you this, Remember Jerry, if

(01:22:39):
you believe it, it's not a lot. And then Jerry
went and he kind of shook his head and walked out.
You know, I can't, Brandon. It's from Brandon. I can't.

Speaker 4 (01:22:49):
I can't prepare you this quickly. It's not possible. I
don't even know how to explain why I'm not affected
by jet lagger. You claim it's one of your superpowers.
I think it's a superpower that you know. I don't
know how I got it. I don't know whether it
was living too close to the Chocolaca Creek on the
treatment plant that we lived near greg as children, there
was no telling what that creek had in it, no

(01:23:12):
swimming in a lot. You know, we weren't all that
terribly far from Monsanto. You know, the ugly day They're
still had an out check. So so I don't know
it's a superpower. I'm not affected by jet lag. I
will just tell you, Brandon, what I do menally. But again,
I can't give you a superpower that I have. That's
not possible. Uh, But I will just tell you my mentality.

(01:23:37):
And it's similar to a stanza. Remember Brandon, if it
says seven o'clock when you land, and you believe it
it is, that's right, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:23:48):
Right, seven o'clock.

Speaker 4 (01:23:50):
So that's what I do when if all of a sudden,
you know, I find myself maybe thinking I'm going to
France and I end up in Africa, which is also
a story to that.

Speaker 3 (01:23:59):
That's a whole.

Speaker 4 (01:24:00):
It wouldn't matter if I was in France or Africa,
whatever the clock said. That's what it becomes to me,
and I just begin to live that way. So six thirty,
let's go, oh yeah, you got to drop this mindset
of it's twelve hours ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:24:13):
You got to drop all that. No, wherever you're going,
whatever time it is, that's it. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:24:19):
I had to raise my hand because j c Is
is going to Japan with a buddy of his later
in October.

Speaker 5 (01:24:25):
That was so cool.

Speaker 6 (01:24:26):
And and they were you should have heard it. You
should have heard them walking it out. They were sitting like, okay,
well on the day we go, let's stay up to
two am.

Speaker 3 (01:24:34):
Oh, and then we got to do this and.

Speaker 6 (01:24:36):
We got I just raised guys, you're gonna be tired,
You're gonna when you land, you're going to be excited.

Speaker 3 (01:24:41):
I just just go with it.

Speaker 6 (01:24:42):
I mean, my goodness, come on, you know y'all have
sleep habits anyway. You can't care well like I've even
seen people going I lost today. No, you can't think
like that. Whatever it is, whatever day.

Speaker 3 (01:24:53):
It is, live in the moment, what every day it
is it is? Yeah, I left on Wednesday, and on
on on Wednesday and Wednesdays are no. Whatever day it
is it is, Yeah, I left on Tuesday. How is
it Thursday? What happened to Wednesday? Whatever day it is
it is? How is it is it eight am?

Speaker 9 (01:25:13):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:25:13):
Where I'm from. No, you start that, he'll never get
over it. It'll be Thursday and you'll just now start
to join your trip. It'll be time to go home.
You can't think like that. Whatever time it is, it
is on your superpowers. It's this. And I know that
you watch batteries for some reason. They watch it don't
work them.

Speaker 6 (01:25:32):
Yeah, well I know your handy's not a superpower, so
what else to do? Or any others? I can't remember.

Speaker 3 (01:25:39):
Incredible sense of smell. Yeah, I made no.

Speaker 4 (01:25:42):
Remember, it's a lot of times things will happen to
me that should have broken my bones and it doesn't.

Speaker 3 (01:25:47):
Oh, okay that remember that I'm right and I'm writing,
he's down here.

Speaker 5 (01:25:51):
You could call it probably dull nerves, but high pain tolerance.

Speaker 3 (01:25:55):
Yeah, I have a very high power. Yeah. No tear
ducts either, No, that's yeah. I cry when it's appropriate.
I don't.

Speaker 4 (01:26:03):
I've never shed a tear, but I inside I think
I know what that feels like. You know how Sometimes
I looked at you and I said, is this what
second hand embarrassment feels like?

Speaker 13 (01:26:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:26:11):
And you said, Rick, I think that's it. I think
you're experiencing it. I didn't know, so I've looked at
people before going I feel something. I think I'm crying
so right, so so that that's it. So I'm sorry, Brandon.
I can't explain it. It's a superpower. But if I
could say that as because Stanza gave Jerry something. Whatever
time it is, it.

Speaker 6 (01:26:30):
Is, yep, okay, it's good, all right, we got somebody's
had to the airport right now going, hey, that's fresh word,
Thank you, budd Land.

Speaker 4 (01:26:37):
Every time it is, it is, it is, hey, bird, hey, birge.
Lots of what about the dog lately? Yeah, it's life, yes,
you know, it's life, life of a dog. This is
a you know, this is a man, he says. I
don't have one of those. He said, but I started
to think about something. I begin to wonder, and he goes,
what I wondered and what got in my mind gave

(01:26:58):
me a cringe because here was my fault, he said.
I know it would have been a nightmare for you.
Maybe it wouldn't have been for me, but just thinking
about it made me cringe this a little bit. What
about what if in an alternate universe you had actually
capture last dog that you for lack of a better.

Speaker 3 (01:27:15):
Term re homed. What would you be doing, what would
your life be like? How would it be different than
it is right now? Yikes? In general, where is the
dog now? I'm assuming it's still alive and well, but
that's my point. Imagine if you had never taken on

(01:27:35):
that readjustment project when you did, what would have happened?
By the way, loved the show. Don't listen to the haters.
The new format and the new approach is radio excellence. Well,
thank you. Also, Adie van Adler has a whole new
meaning with his new suite. And he says it man

(01:27:56):
in the parking lot, it's like he's been rediscovered, is
what he says, or something like that. I couldn't read it.

Speaker 4 (01:28:04):
Okay, talking about the van gave you a new lease
on life Andler love it well.

Speaker 6 (01:28:09):
Terry said she hadn't laughed as hard as she did
when you were showing Larry your van and you crawled
halfway up the ladder and set there and posed for it.

Speaker 3 (01:28:18):
That's good. Well, let me tell you, Jake.

Speaker 4 (01:28:21):
First of all, the last dog that Sherry and I had,
and when we became we became empty nesters, we re
homed it. That dog, Buddy, is doing phenomenal. He has
an incredible owner. She loves him, he loves her. He
has other dogs and animals, and he is he is
living the.

Speaker 3 (01:28:41):
Life of Riley.

Speaker 4 (01:28:43):
I would go as far as to say, as I
have said for decades, even back in the Rick and
Bubba days, I am one of the people in there.
I'm not alone that truly does love animals. Now, some
people love to have animals, but they really don't love animals.
If they loved them, they wouldn't, you know, leave them
in cars tied to steering wheels.

Speaker 3 (01:29:04):
They wouldn't.

Speaker 4 (01:29:05):
They wouldn't, you know, carry them on trips they don't
want to be on. They wouldn't box them in little boxes,
you know, out of out of their love for them,
and make them miserable. I love animals so much. I
want the animal to have the best situation and shary
and not determine. Because we're not sedentary people. We're not home,

(01:29:26):
you know, we don't just sit around. Our life is
very active, very busy. Uh And the dog a lot
of times would just be left on the screened end
porch and that's not a life for an animal. Uh So,
the person that has the dog now is giving the
dog the best life. It is also a blessing to
that person. And I love that animal enough as did

(01:29:49):
Sherry to do the right thing. Now we could have
selfishly said we love to have it, we wanted around
even when it's miserable, we want to make it miserable
because of the because it benefits us. There was there
was no life for that dog for Sherry and me
as empty nesters. I also received an indirect race when

(01:30:12):
the dog went away, which also was a nice which
is a nice little bonus which Speedy has three dogs
that I've never thought a person so cheap could spend
so much money on dogs.

Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
So so yeah, the dog's doing great.

Speaker 4 (01:30:26):
And honestly, I've made a lot of bad decisions in life,
probably one of the best decisions I've ever made, and
I finally got shared to go along with it, and
she agrees the dog giving likes it. It was the
right thing for the dog, it was the right thing
for the woman who has the dog, and it was
the right thing for us.

Speaker 3 (01:30:42):
So you're right. If we had kept that dog, I
would be so much less happy and I would not
have near the peace that I have. So I'm glad
that did not happen. We'll be back.

Speaker 1 (01:30:53):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the show that is
willing to search for the answer to why anyone would
drive slow in the left lane, The Rick Burcher's Show.

Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
I know the answers out there. I know it is
I know it is okay, so we keep working through it.
Glad you're here. Have you been to mystore dot com yet?
You haven't? Why not?

Speaker 4 (01:31:33):
You don't want to go check out hundreds of American
entrepreneurs that have been denied access to you because you know,
maybe Amazon, you know, didn't want them to have access.

Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
You know, somebody shut them down. They can't get there.

Speaker 4 (01:31:47):
Mike Lindell knows what that's like, and so he said,
let me go out and let me see if I
can put the ladder down and see if other entrepreneurs
would have to come up here in the s Treehouse
with me.

Speaker 3 (01:31:56):
I didn't pull the ladder up.

Speaker 4 (01:31:58):
I'm going to open up a platform for them, just
as I was working to create my product against all odds.
And you know what, these are incredible entrepreneurs and they
have great products and also, hey, great savings mystore dot com.

Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
Go ahead and get that promo code. Big vox. Take
that with you.

Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
You'll find everything there, including automotive, bath and beauty, books

you know I've been all over that household essentials, kitchen

(01:32:38):
you got it, it's there My store dot com. Companies
who love and support the country, American entrepreneurs what makes
our country great. We believe that at one time Mike
Lindell still does mystore dot com the code big Vox. Also,
you can go to Rick Burgess Show dot com right
there under the sponsors. Charlie Sheen decided to give us

(01:33:03):
an update on how he's doing.

Speaker 3 (01:33:06):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:33:07):
We remember, as Greg pointed out earlier in the show,
back on the Rick and Bubba days, Charlie Sheen provided content,
lots lots of lots of content as he went through
that bizarre deal where he basically destroyed.

Speaker 3 (01:33:21):
His career.

Speaker 4 (01:33:24):
Became more bizarre by the day. One time went on
some weird tour like he was a band.

Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
Makes fun of that.

Speaker 4 (01:33:32):
He makes fun of that in that interview, just so
he gave the interview to is it Jesse Than interviewed
and Jesse.

Speaker 6 (01:33:40):
Waters Water He's done one or two, but last night
Jesse Waters.

Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
Had him on.

Speaker 4 (01:33:44):
Well, he's not holding anything back at all. And he
as a matter of fact, as we talked about earlier,
we didn't get into it. But you know, sometimes when
somebody's giving, for lack of a better term, what we
would call inside the church, a testimony, you don't have
to tell us everything.

Speaker 3 (01:34:02):
We got it. Tell it, doll, tell it all. Oh,
I don't think I have told that. So so here
he is. I know this is six minutes.

Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
As far as video and audio, any particular place we
want to jump in here Adler.

Speaker 6 (01:34:18):
Okay, I'm not sure which one of these there's a
there's all kinds of them out there, but it looks
like on this one the breakdown that we have that
that he sent he said basically he was born dead. Yeah,
I think that's how it started. And and uh and
Jesse asked him to walk that out there. There's so
many things we'll have to tell you about a lot

(01:34:39):
of it because, like Rick said, it's just a long interview.

Speaker 1 (01:34:42):
But here it is.

Speaker 5 (01:34:43):
I actually watched it.

Speaker 2 (01:34:44):
Yes, I'm very excited.

Speaker 5 (01:34:45):
Oh really, okay, Charlie, how you doing.

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
I'm doing well.

Speaker 5 (01:34:48):
You said you were born dead?

Speaker 3 (01:34:50):
Yes I did. Yes, it's not an exaggeration.

Speaker 5 (01:34:54):
You almost died as you were being delivered.

Speaker 3 (01:34:58):
Yeah, yes, But so how does that work then?

Speaker 14 (01:35:03):
Because you have to stop living because you're living before
you're born, right, right, and then restart.

Speaker 10 (01:35:10):
So you grew up in a very famous family, surrounded
by very famous people. You played ping pong against OJ
and basketball against Michael Jordan.

Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
It's like I could have just stopped there right at
the highlight. Yeah, where do you? Where do you go
from there? Who won? Oj beat me in ping pong?

Speaker 14 (01:35:30):
But as you as you read in the book, he
was playing with his off hand, and then when he
saw that he had that he was actually facing someone
that was pretty competitive.

Speaker 3 (01:35:40):
As a ten year old.

Speaker 14 (01:35:41):
This is nineteen seventy five, right, He subtly changed paddles
and went to his right hand for those last two shots.
And I mentioned in the book that and I say,
and I'm still talking about his ping pong skills, I say,
his right hand was really.

Speaker 6 (01:36:08):
There's so much there in a big week for him.
His memoir dropped yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:36:13):
Yes, so his memoir, the Book of Sheen Yesterday is speed.
He said. Also, Charlie Sheen premieres on Netflix today. Yes,
so wow, what a week.

Speaker 6 (01:36:23):
There's just so much there, guys, And I forgot about this,
but you know, he was diagnosed with HIV in twenty eleven,
and in his book he talks about the fact that
he didn't really come out with it till twenty fifteen
because he got blackmailed from someone that said that they
were publicly going to talk about the fact that he

(01:36:46):
had it. And then that's when he came out and
talked about it. But there's from the drug cartel shutting
him down on the amount of drugs he was getting.

Speaker 3 (01:36:53):
Craig didn't believe, he thinks from.

Speaker 6 (01:36:55):
His tour, from his lifestyle and partying to where the
winning came. Uh, where he even got the winning uh
and when we went winning, yeah, by winning.

Speaker 4 (01:37:07):
And we can talk about that, you know after watching this,
you know, when he said he was HIV positive. You know,
I don't think any of us saw that he actually
got it from Magic Johnson.

Speaker 3 (01:37:18):
So I've just got fur he but he he did
let us know some things that we did not want
to know. He did not.

Speaker 4 (01:37:28):
Yeah, well, we'll come back the winning where it came from,
we now know, and we'll we'll talk about that. But
he said also one of the things that that caused
him to stop is he realized there was no bigger
party to attend anymore. There was no higher high left.
He said, I've just been letting people down for too long,
and myself included, and it just kind of the the

(01:37:52):
the luster of that lifestyle just kind of lost its appeal.
So thankfully that happened for him before it killed him,
because a lot of people it kills him before it
loses the lustrous. Yea, So we'll come back where did
all this winning that when he got weird to get
talking about winning and tiger blood and you know, by

(01:38:12):
winning and so he he's he's unloading it all. But
we'll at least talk about that when we come back.

Speaker 1 (01:38:20):
This is the Rick Burgess Show in a world that
embraces mediocrity. They are thravy the Wick Burgers Show.

Speaker 3 (01:38:38):
Here we go, America. Thank you for being with us,
and we are thankful that you are here. We've we've
covered a lot.

Speaker 4 (01:38:45):
We're talking about Charlie Sheen right now, the interview with
Jesse Waters. His memoir released yesterday, The Book of Sheen,
and then he has a Netflix.

Speaker 3 (01:38:56):
Special that is debuting tonight for Today, so that's also
out this week, is called Charlie Sheen. So there you go.

Speaker 4 (01:39:07):
That's what's led to the interviews. He kind of went
away for several years to get clean, says he has
been cleaned for eight years, right, yes, eight years.

Speaker 5 (01:39:16):
That's great.

Speaker 4 (01:39:18):
Here is Jesse Waters asking Charlie Sheen about the most
talked about interview, the one that where he did all
this where he was by winning and oh yeah, he
was winning and winning this and I'm winning that and
tiger blood and all that weird stuff. Where did all
this come from? Well we know now, so here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:39:37):
I'm very proud of that.

Speaker 11 (01:39:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:39:39):
He went on twenty twenty and it was the interview
that people couldn't stop talking.

Speaker 5 (01:39:45):
About your anger and your hate. I think is coming
off as erratic to be passion my passion. Okay, your
passion is.

Speaker 14 (01:39:52):
Coming off as erratic, right, people, you borrow my marine
for five seconds and just be like, dude, can't.

Speaker 5 (01:39:58):
Handle it, Summers saying that you're bipolar.

Speaker 14 (01:40:00):
Wow, and then what what's the cure medicine make me
like them not gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (01:40:05):
I'm by winning. Tell me about the last time he
took the.

Speaker 2 (01:40:09):
Last time into drugs.

Speaker 3 (01:40:10):
I probably took more than than than anybody could survive.

Speaker 13 (01:40:13):
Yeah, almost all that.

Speaker 5 (01:40:14):
I don't know. I'm asking you what was all that?

Speaker 14 (01:40:17):
Well? I I talk about it in the book where
I somehow Brian Wilson from The Giants caught my attention
and I told my friend Tony, I want to talk
to that guy. I think we're just going to talk baseball.
And he gets on the phone like the next day,
and he says, you know, man, we're guys like us.

(01:40:39):
We're different, man, you we're different. We're not We're not
like everybody else. We got you know, we got we
got tiger blood running through our veins. Man, we got
like Adonis, DNA and and and you know, we're never
losing because.

Speaker 1 (01:40:51):
We're we're too busy winning.

Speaker 5 (01:40:52):
So he puts all this stuff in my mind.

Speaker 14 (01:40:55):
He was probably thinking, just in his defense, he was
probably thinking, I'm going to give this guy.

Speaker 3 (01:41:00):
Pep talk, right.

Speaker 13 (01:41:01):
So then I had this interview of talk two days
later or maybe even the next day, and we sit
down and it starts kind of going a little bit
south because she's trying to get into some areas I'm
not interested in talking about.

Speaker 14 (01:41:16):
And then it's just it's all still up there, you know,
and like, yeah, I'm doing way too much stosterone creams.
I'm kind of approaching a roid rage and all that
stuff just flew out, and and we know, we know.

Speaker 3 (01:41:31):
How it unfolded.

Speaker 5 (01:41:32):
You went on tour, I did.

Speaker 10 (01:41:34):
You had a bunch of women?

Speaker 5 (01:41:35):
You went on tour nation on tour?

Speaker 3 (01:41:38):
Yeah, and I'm not even in a band.

Speaker 11 (01:41:40):
The hell was that?

Speaker 5 (01:41:43):
Everyone was talking about your tour?

Speaker 3 (01:41:44):
Right?

Speaker 5 (01:41:45):
You were across the street at Radio City. Yeah, I
went and covered it.

Speaker 2 (01:41:49):
Had it?

Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
You didn't have to pay to get did you?

Speaker 9 (01:42:00):
I did?

Speaker 3 (01:42:01):
Okay? What was the ticket price?

Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
Like fifty?

Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
But it was a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:42:04):
No, it was more than that.

Speaker 3 (01:42:05):
It was like one hundred and fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:42:06):
Okay, would terrible seats?

Speaker 14 (01:42:08):
Would you accept that money if I gave it back
to you?

Speaker 9 (01:42:11):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:42:11):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (01:42:15):
Oh, he really opens up about a lot more. But
at least we know where the tiger blood and winning
came from.

Speaker 3 (01:42:23):
Yeah, but he was he was really lost over doing
it on testosterone. Oh yeah, yeah, we had was strame
we had the cartel shutting him down.

Speaker 6 (01:42:32):
We had partying with anybody and everybody.

Speaker 5 (01:42:35):
You'd hear Jesse you ask him about some report, Okay, sure,
oh no, all.

Speaker 10 (01:42:38):
Right, kind of a crazy time for you. You were
sleeping with a lot of people, doing a lot of drugs. Sure,
what was going through your mind?

Speaker 14 (01:42:48):
So part of it was kind of the child support tour.

Speaker 5 (01:42:50):
That's what I should have called it.

Speaker 14 (01:42:51):
The child's support would have gotten a lot more seventhy right,
I mean that would have been an early like go
fund me moment, right, you.

Speaker 5 (01:42:57):
Talk about in the book There we Go. Cartel had
to cut you off.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
They did, Yeah, they did.

Speaker 14 (01:43:05):
The amount that they were selling to Marco. And I'm
not outing him, he's he's in the book and in
the dog. The amounts that he kept requesting from them,
at the frequency that he was asking for this this
kind of weight, right, They had never given that to someone,
transferred it to someone before who wasn't dealing. So they thought, Okay,

(01:43:29):
he's blown through this stuff so freaking fast. He's dealing
without our permission.

Speaker 3 (01:43:37):
That makes more sense. Yeah, okay, I thought he was
talking about that he was able to take so many
drugs and okay, yeah, because you.

Speaker 5 (01:43:44):
Gotta have to you have to have permission.

Speaker 3 (01:43:46):
Yeah right, they control the market, Yeah right, okay, wow.

Speaker 5 (01:43:50):
And then there was one other thing that you wanted
to know. He wanted to find that.

Speaker 3 (01:43:58):
Jesse. You don't have to tell it all, Charlie, you
don't have to tell it at all, bless him. Don't
tell it all. He did.

Speaker 6 (01:44:06):
You You had kind of alluded to it, Rick, because
you read his quote about and he said, hey, the party,
and can't get any bigger than where I've been. Yes,
But he also said, you know, because Jesse said, you're
eight years clean?

Speaker 3 (01:44:18):
What stopped it?

Speaker 5 (01:44:20):
Like?

Speaker 6 (01:44:20):
How did you stop? And he said, well, first of all,
you have to do it for yourself. And I thought
for a second, Rick, because he paused, I thought, did
he have some kind of spiritual awakening?

Speaker 3 (01:44:29):
That's what I was hoping.

Speaker 6 (01:44:30):
And he said, well, first of all, you got to
do it for yourself, and then my kids and my
family and friends. I was wrecking everybody, including myself around me,
destroying lives, and finally it just hit me, I gotta stop. Well,
you know, it's interesting, you know, we're being lighthearted about
it because of who he is and the bizarre circus
that he has been. But if you notice there's a

(01:44:52):
moment on the first clip that we played last segment,
he's actually tiptoeing around the gospel that he was born dead.
We will say, you have to be born. You have
to be dead to be alive, but you have to
be alive to be dead, and you know I had
to be It was like I was born, you know,
he he is.

Speaker 3 (01:45:09):
He's almost tiptoeing around being born again, and and that's
that's what he needs, as we all do.

Speaker 4 (01:45:17):
And you know, it was interesting. I bet you he
has kicked the tires on the on the true answer.
Now I applaud him that whatever he's doing, if he
can stick with it, that he has survived it. And hopefully,
you know, for everybody who depends on him and and
loves him that you know, at least there he's not
in that world anymore.

Speaker 3 (01:45:38):
And you know he uh, he said that as you
just said.

Speaker 4 (01:45:42):
He said, I had to make a decision to do
as you just said, do it for myself, my children second,
and then the rest of my family.

Speaker 3 (01:45:49):
So those are noble things.

Speaker 4 (01:45:53):
But if there's not some sort of spiritual transformation, uh,
you know, we're not we're not guaranteed a happy ending.

Speaker 9 (01:46:03):
You know.

Speaker 6 (01:46:03):
And I really thought when he asked him that he
kind of paulsed for a second. I went, Oh, my goodness,
he's about to go there. Yeah, he's about to go there,
and he and he kind of didn't, but he kind
of tiptoed around it like you're talking about. And hopefully
those will see this as not Oh look, Charlie's cool.
It's really where he was and how he shouldn't have
acted and God brought him out of it, you know,
and and he's to live to tell about it because

(01:46:24):
it's a it is a train wreck of a life
for a while there.

Speaker 4 (01:46:27):
Yeah, wouldn't we agree that most people who you we
have this exact same narrative about, they don't survive it.
Usually usually this ends up with with an earthly death.
So that's that's quite an accomplishment. Yeah, that he survived
all that and lived to tell about it, right, and
hopefully you know that that'll continue.

Speaker 5 (01:46:47):
So it had like an amy winehouse vibe.

Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
You're right, yeah, yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:46:52):
Yeah, it did, and you know, and hopefully because I
don't know what he's doing for a living now, how
he's handled his money. I'm sure it wasn't well. Uh,
you know, and so he you know, I guess maybe
he made enough that he has money. But obviously this
book will do well. Yeah, and I'm sure Netflix paid him,
you know, for for the access to this, So he's

(01:47:13):
obviously making money again.

Speaker 3 (01:47:15):
But you you wonder, you know, after the book and
after the Netflix what what then? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:47:22):
So and maybe he's old enough and he's set and
financially and he can staut of trouble and hopefully that
spiritual transformation either has taken place and he's just not.

Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
Ready to talk about it yet. That's possible or still
to come. So we'll be back. We come back.

Speaker 4 (01:47:42):
Unscreened phone calls our first chance to have a word
with you, and you can reach us the number eight
eight eight, the number six, Big Boss, The.

Speaker 3 (01:47:52):
Most Dangerous ten Minutes and radio.

Speaker 4 (01:47:54):
We take the show, open up the phones handed to you,
and we screened those babies as we go.

Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
We'll do that next.

Speaker 1 (01:48:03):
This is the Rick Burgess Show and No the Most

(01:48:31):
Dangerous ten Minutes in radio. Unscreened phone calls. Get in
now by dialing one eight eight eight six, Big Fox.

Speaker 3 (01:48:42):
Okay, do here we go all right, so here we go.

Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
There they were, I mean we're unleashing the crowd, I
mean wide open, uh, and here they come. It is
called unscreen phone call. Has been a very popular segment
on the New Show, and we kind of screen as
we go sometimes. You know, it leads to interesting situations.
You can almost feel the intensity of it. So if

(01:49:12):
it's ringing, then you're in line ready to go, and
you just wait for me to answer, cut your radio
down and be ready to go.

Speaker 3 (01:49:19):
Welcome to the Rick Burgers Show. Unscreen phone Calls. You're own, Hey,
good morning us. What's going on, buddy?

Speaker 1 (01:49:27):
Hey?

Speaker 11 (01:49:27):
So, I'd say probably the one last five or six years,
we've seen fans have an increase in the younger generation listeners.
We send it with Motley Crue when the Dark.

Speaker 9 (01:49:37):
Movie come out, and then we send it with Creed
when the Super Bowl commercial come out. So if eny,
who do you.

Speaker 11 (01:49:43):
Guys think could be the next fan of the season
increased listeners that could potentially come.

Speaker 4 (01:49:46):
Back, somebody that comes back and gets a new audience
because of some commercial, Like you're talking about some documentary
e I'm thinking.

Speaker 3 (01:49:55):
Who would still be able to beat together that needs
that that does have it. That's a tough one. That's
a tough one. Maybe Cinderella. Yeah, I think Garner Garner
that kind of thing, and they were popular, but they
was right, Yeah, they somebody that was that was big,

(01:50:17):
that could return to being big. Skid Row with Sebastian
back singing.

Speaker 5 (01:50:22):
Well we saw Backstreet Boys just due to the sphere.

Speaker 3 (01:50:25):
Shocking, shocking. Could you keep it in the rock genre, Plice?

Speaker 6 (01:50:29):
Sorry, okay, what about somebody like you? You hate this band,
rick Is, but like an r e M.

Speaker 3 (01:50:35):
I knew you were going to say that.

Speaker 6 (01:50:36):
Well, i'man saying I'm thinking big, big bands that have
gone away in his scenario one, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:50:42):
Yeah, Oasis is on a tour right now.

Speaker 3 (01:50:45):
Everybody's yeah, they're all sound out stadium now.

Speaker 6 (01:50:49):
They've really never went away. But I think it's Scotty
McCree that that uh has hooting the Bloodfish and it
didn't have a song out right now or whatever.

Speaker 5 (01:50:59):
Scotty, I don't know that.

Speaker 6 (01:51:00):
Yeah, yeah, I think I think they did some week.
Uh you mean Darish Rutger, Darish Rutger. No, but it's
like there's a Hootie and the Blowfish kind of feel
to it because Scotty McCreery.

Speaker 5 (01:51:11):
The song Bottle Rockets features he Hooty and the Blowfish.

Speaker 3 (01:51:14):
Yeah, yeah, and we.

Speaker 6 (01:51:18):
Haven't mentioned that because one of the writers in the
Round that we talked about helped write that. Okay, well man,
so I'm wondering, like a hooting the Blowfish once they.

Speaker 3 (01:51:26):
Yeah, that's that's another good example. You remember the the commercial,
you know, the mother in Law and then the one
back we got Rats and the band Rat was in
the something like that. They said that suddenly people started
downloading round and Round. There you go, another good ones.

Speaker 4 (01:51:41):
Yes, maybe with all the transgender thing twisted sister, sure,
he's not going to take it.

Speaker 7 (01:51:49):
Rick if she could ever get her act together, Britney
Spears could play the spear.

Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
Yeah, Brittany sphearest it. Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:51:57):
I don't know if she's gonna get her act together,
because y'all it is bad. All the videos are just
getting more and more weird. Dog poop on the ground
in the background, and it's sad.

Speaker 15 (01:52:06):
It is.

Speaker 5 (01:52:07):
I know, you're right, you're actually right.

Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
I see the Googoo doll.

Speaker 4 (01:52:10):
Somebody mentioned that they've got something a commercial going right now.
That's kind of they got something going that you keep
seeing the Googoo dog guy or something.

Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
This is so weird commercials and stuff like that. I'll
do it.

Speaker 7 (01:52:20):
This is so weird because there's a band that I
kind of listened to as an outcast in in high school.
But like Deftones is a hard rock band that I
liked that not many people liked when I was in
high school.

Speaker 5 (01:52:29):
System of a Down is another one.

Speaker 3 (01:52:31):
I don't like them at all.

Speaker 5 (01:52:32):
I'm not I'm not recommending.

Speaker 7 (01:52:34):
These bands or saying that their their music is good,
but they are huge with the kids. Like they're doing huge,
huge festivals, huge huge stadium tours. It's it's like these
genu what's what's the youngest generation coming up? There's z
Alpha whatever, Uh, the Zoomers, they're all, they're all. They're
all about these obscure bands that I liked in high school.

Speaker 3 (01:52:56):
Is there anyway you can promote any more devil music
today before we've done so?

Speaker 5 (01:53:00):
There's this band called Slayer.

Speaker 9 (01:53:02):
Now.

Speaker 3 (01:53:02):
Yeah, I said that maybe mister t with Mother Mother.
We played it on this show and it got a
lot of plays afterwards.

Speaker 9 (01:53:09):
That was good.

Speaker 4 (01:53:10):
I will tell you that there is no other there's
a band coming back in twenty twenty six, that this
audience will be interested in.

Speaker 3 (01:53:16):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (01:53:17):
Oh like the teas right. I'll leave it at that, Mother.
There is no other Rick Birder's show. We continue Rick
Birder's Show Your Own Mother. Unscreened phone calls.

Speaker 5 (01:53:27):
Go ahead, Hey, good morning, Rick.

Speaker 16 (01:53:30):
I wanted to tell Adler. When I was twenty three
years old, I'm fifty six now, I coached soccer and
after the first practice I knew nothing about it. After
first practice when of the the parents came up to
me and said, uh, why are you having them face
off like they're playing hockey. I'm like, oh, you expected
this thing.

Speaker 3 (01:53:50):
Yeah, I'm similar, yeah, yeah, and you couldn't keep score.

Speaker 16 (01:53:55):
And I told them, I said, look, we get more
goals than the other team. We get ash, we don't.

Speaker 5 (01:54:01):
We don't get us, right, amen?

Speaker 4 (01:54:03):
And you know I dabbled as well. And then of
course my run and lacrosse. All that sounds real familiar,
real familiar.

Speaker 5 (01:54:11):
I did a jump ball last night in soccer. You
know you know, whoever touches it with her hand first wins.

Speaker 3 (01:54:18):
Well done, Rick Birders show. Unscreen phone calls go ahead.

Speaker 12 (01:54:23):
That Charlie Sheene documentary it's so if you give it
a shot, it's pretty good. I like the fact that
they go over a positive stuff, you know, like things,
he likes, his favorite planet everything.

Speaker 3 (01:54:38):
We continue, Rick bird unscreenphone calls, go ahead, Paggy, good morning.

Speaker 5 (01:54:45):
I just wanted to say you real quick, God bless you.

Speaker 7 (01:54:48):
Guys, and I have been.

Speaker 3 (01:54:53):
Wow. What does she say? Sorry your phone broke up.
I'm so sorry. Birders show unscreen phone calls, go ahead.

Speaker 9 (01:55:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (01:55:03):
I just want to point out I'm concerned about.

Speaker 9 (01:55:06):
Speed's passion for GLMs. He's missing it a lot the
past couple of days.

Speaker 6 (01:55:12):
It's part of youth coaching that I just it's always
bringing some professionalism and experience.

Speaker 3 (01:55:18):
You did right what it was. If you were it's
a dark history, then that's just a big part.

Speaker 5 (01:55:27):
That's old history.

Speaker 3 (01:55:28):
It's on the show. You might have seen it. They've
got it on the on the Spike Network. It's the
dark side of Little League Sports. And it was something
that I didn't do.

Speaker 6 (01:55:35):
Stephan Poplin created it to shout out to him, what
all these little g l ms by your guys here
that you want to pick dark side?

Speaker 3 (01:55:43):
He's like, you see that.

Speaker 4 (01:55:46):
That and the fact that is not very good and whatever.
Dad volunteers to actually run the league. Always says the
best team. Yeah, we continue bird your show. Unscreen phone calls,
go ahead, Hey.

Speaker 17 (01:55:58):
Guy, that's Austin from LinkedIn North Carolina.

Speaker 3 (01:56:00):
Come on with Bud, Come on with it, Hey.

Speaker 9 (01:56:03):
It what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:56:04):
Guys?

Speaker 17 (01:56:04):
I just want to tell you all how much I
appreciate the show, really enjoy listening. I'd drive a big
rig for a living, so I tried to catch the
show every morning. It reminds me a lot of a
show I listened to growing up. I don't know if
y'all familiar with It's called John Boy and Billy on
the Big Show.

Speaker 3 (01:56:20):
Yeah, yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:56:21):
We all man that big influence and super talented guys,
and I think I think they're still doing it, are they?

Speaker 17 (01:56:29):
I'm not they actually hung it up, hung it up,
I think last year, like y'all did with Rick and Bubba.
But every now and then I'll text in or call
in and I'll say, hey, big man, let me hold
a dollar. That's where I got it from.

Speaker 4 (01:56:40):
Okay, let me change you should. They were creative guys, funny, funny.
As a matter of fact, I don't know if it
was their original line. But when we do the I
was so far out in the country even the Presbyterians
were hanling snakes.

Speaker 3 (01:56:55):
Greg heard that on John Boy and Billy. It was
some character they had. It was very funny. Do you
remember that you vaguely? Yeah? Then they come I think
that came from them, right, I'm pretty sure it did.
I can't. It seems like you told me that, And
it was some character that Billy was doing. It was funny.

Speaker 4 (01:57:09):
But they were very good at what they did and
and we have great respect for them. Rick Burder's show
unscreen phone calls go.

Speaker 9 (01:57:18):
Ahead, Oh yeah, I was just Collin say Grad Charlie
sheen Man. He's eight years sober. I'm eight months sober.
To the power of Jesus product man.

Speaker 4 (01:57:29):
Amen, it's aw somebody. We hope he finds that same power. Brother,
Thank you so much. Yeah, It's it's true, isn't it.
I mean he can transform anything, no doubt about it.
Live in proof of that myself.

Speaker 5 (01:57:41):

Through the roof and so that and you know what
Greg posts every now and then, so be sure you're
following his story. Follow like Jimmy dam Okay, So when
we start this hour, when we start this hour, I
know this is the stuff that gets everybody stirred. First
of all, we'll start with this mysteriou mysterious NASA announcement

(02:00:36):
sparks theories life has been found on Mars, and I
know that's why Elon wants to get there. Martian talk.
Everybody know, we we've been Our society has been obsessed
with Martian talk for a long time, A long time.

Speaker 3 (02:00:50):
Yeah, we got another story that they had to get go.
We will. But do you think that's where Elon's from?
That's why he wants to get back. Oh yeah, he's definitely,
there's no doubt. Neighboring planet greg Uranus.

Speaker 5 (02:01:00):
Regularly there's a rock one of the other.

Speaker 3 (02:01:04):
A rock is called Scipphire Canyon. Canyon.

Speaker 4 (02:01:09):
The rover in July twenty twenty four found this baby.
I think it's an ancient river system in a Martian
area called no Idea.

Speaker 3 (02:01:21):
That was really the name of it, called no Idea.

Speaker 4 (02:01:23):
I can't wait to get there and live in a
pod and look at it, Greg, I can't go outside.
Scientists are excited because this rock might contain bio signatures.
I'm not sure what that is, chemical clues that could
hint at an ancient micro life on Mars. Micro life.

(02:01:45):
So here's the deal. So we found and we all
go Martians. No, it's a grub worm, you know, that's
what it's gonna.

Speaker 3 (02:01:52):
Be something I don't care about that. You care about that?
You mean, just like we got mosquitoes and stuff like that.
If there's that on another planet, that don't mean nothing
to me.

Speaker 5 (02:02:01):
It's it's it's life on another planet.

Speaker 3 (02:02:04):
He said it wasn't. I mean it shit, But he
ain't doing anything you have. No, you don't want to
see a grub worm on Mars.

Speaker 4 (02:02:10):
No, that don't impress me. I want a Martian. I
want somebody either walking around looking weird or somebody that
looks like us. But they're just Martian, right, and they
don't have to live in a bubble. They can actually
walk on What would mean something to you if a
grub worm could talk and it was on Earth? And
honesty and I know that's a big deal science wise.

Speaker 3 (02:02:28):
Blah blah blah blah. Here he goes. But if I mean,
if it's a fly or a worm, I don't care.
Release but they don't care, y'all, y'all care? Hey, well,
what guys, we discovered a grub worm right? Let me
the armadals up there, because they're tearing my yard up
looking for them. They give me problems.

Speaker 4 (02:02:48):
Let's launch, all, give launch the armadal is good idea.
All right, let me ask you this question and think
about people that you genuinely like. They can be a celebrity,
they can be somebody on the list, they can be
somebody we don't don't even know. Okay, but that's it's
a pleasurable person. Do you like like You're like, man,
I like when they're around. If everybody on Mars could

(02:03:09):
be that person. We found Martians and they were like, oh, like, man,
I'm all about Mars now because I like that person,
Henry Winkler.

Speaker 3 (02:03:19):
Henry Winkley, so he would greet you all Marsians to
be like Henry w Phonsie. Yeah, we go to Mars
to see fun. He's not just as fun as I
don't like you. Do you really like it as fun
as do you?

Speaker 14 (02:03:37):
Not?

Speaker 3 (02:03:37):
Really?

Speaker 4 (02:03:37):
Okay, but too much? You like the person him? Yeah,
like the commercials we talked about his father in law.
I'm just saying he's the guy greets you Rick. Now
I want some other cool people after that. Feel kind
of bad right now for little Lee Hubbard and and Dree. Okay,
once we get on into Mars. Okay, all right, so
you said if all of a sudden today NASA said,
we just met a Marsian.

Speaker 3 (02:03:56):
You're not gonna believe it. He's just like I wouldn't
it feel calming if he was telling you?

Speaker 4 (02:04:00):
You know what's outrageous as that answer is, I'm comforted
by it.

Speaker 3 (02:04:05):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You don't want somebody. He's
got me, so it's not intimidating. How bad did you do?
You want to help his father in law with his eye,
That's what I'm saying. If he convinced me to that,
he can convince me that Mars is good.

Speaker 4 (02:04:16):
So going back to this other thing, not just the organism,
I'm micro organism that's really sharp to find here. He goes,
not only come on, guys, okay, thank you, have a
thank you? Okay, got it all right?

Speaker 3 (02:04:28):
So great thing. I thought, there's probably like that whole
lot of pay grub worm. No, Henry Winkler, Maybe I
want him. As he steps out and says, Okay, we're
gona let y'all know we're here, but we're good. What's
his voice? It's the same one, same voice, And he
introduces us to maybe a little Hubbard at a joke. Yeah,
is he speaking English or does he yes, got to
be Marsha as far as I'm concerned. That's the only

(02:04:49):
the language I know.

Speaker 5 (02:04:50):
Did you guys ever see contact with Of course we did.

Speaker 7 (02:04:54):
At the end, she like meets the alien you remember
really kind of but it was like the alien in
her dad's formed.

Speaker 5 (02:05:02):
Didn't alien took the dad's form. She could relate to it.

Speaker 1 (02:05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:05:06):
She also got caught in her own trap. She didn't
believe in God because uh, you know, there's no proof
that he exists. And she comes back ready to tell
her by about it, and they're like, well that didn't happen.

Speaker 3 (02:05:14):
I can't. Yeah, all you did was falling. You fell
straight through. It didn't work. They were same as the failure.
It was a failure. And she's like, no, I saw
what I saw and nobody believed he No, They're like, no,
it didn't work. She had a dose for a medicine.

Speaker 5 (02:05:24):
Yeah, but they were like, no, you just fell straight through.
There wasn't You didn't go anywhere.

Speaker 3 (02:05:28):
Didn't go anywhere, Jody.

Speaker 5 (02:05:29):
But then there wasn't.

Speaker 9 (02:05:30):
It was.

Speaker 5 (02:05:30):
There was like ten hours of static on the tape.

Speaker 3 (02:05:33):
So they're like, oh, she did go somewhere. Okay, So
this is the kind of thing that bothers the alien.
I was just that guy that's in a lot of movies.
But I don't know his name. I will tell you this.
If that actor was on Mars, Yeah right, he was
great and green, It was great and green.

Speaker 5 (02:05:51):
Mall David.

Speaker 4 (02:05:56):
Played They played Mike Webster in Concussion and he had
Remember I didn't watch him see that. I hated Will
Smith doctor. I did not want to see talks with
a weird accent. I didn't want to be lectured by
Will Smith about football.

Speaker 5 (02:06:08):
Wow, David Morrison a lot of stuff.

Speaker 6 (02:06:09):
So he's the alien, but the alien's taking Henry's form. Yes,
so this makes all be.

Speaker 4 (02:06:15):
What I'm saying is, if Martians had the same countess
as any person, who would you like it to being?

Speaker 3 (02:06:20):
Greg said, Henry will not the funds the actor. I
don't want him telling me to sit on it. I
don't want the fund Who would you choose? Adler? That's
not that's not a bad one can get you excited.
Who would you be? Always Denzel Washington? Okay, that's not
ar Denzel Denzel.

Speaker 8 (02:06:40):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (02:06:41):
If I if I wentn't anywhere and everybody said, you're
going to spend the rest of your time with Denzel Washington.

Speaker 3 (02:06:46):
People like you. You know what, Rick, I'm with you
on that, right.

Speaker 4 (02:06:48):
I mean I may bump Henry for him, but I
really sit down and thinking can we And it wouldn't
bother me if somehow he got me and Joe Green there.

Speaker 3 (02:06:55):
Oh yeah, but.

Speaker 6 (02:06:56):
Played that Coca Cola commercial for JC. He had never
seen it before.

Speaker 3 (02:07:00):
Really like if me and Joe Green.

Speaker 4 (02:07:02):
Immediately I got there and I realized I needed the
helmet because I couldn't breathe, and also heard hey kid,
and I looked up and Denzel said, throwing my helmet,
And you mean Joe Green through me helmet and I
put it on.

Speaker 3 (02:07:11):
That's all about sad.

Speaker 6 (02:07:13):
Yeah, So it has to be somebody that's alive because
you unfortunately space Oh really, I mean we're talking about
a Martian.

Speaker 4 (02:07:20):
You can anybody dead or alive, and it's not really them.
The Martians are just like the persona. Yeah, and only
you see them that way because.

Speaker 12 (02:07:28):
They know what you got.

Speaker 3 (02:07:30):
That's an important clarification. Shot it.

Speaker 5 (02:07:31):
We didn't even get to this.

Speaker 3 (02:07:33):
We'll come back to the other one. Now there's more.

Speaker 4 (02:07:37):
We got tape, Greg, we got tape now mysterious micranism. No,
it's not what it's called mysterious interstellar object.

Speaker 3 (02:07:45):
Oh I saw this. It's morphing and unexplained ways as
it moves closer to Earth. Yeah, we have footage as
our discussion continues.

Speaker 1 (02:07:55):
This is the Rick Burgess Show Strange and Colors, the
new podcast from Rick Burch's Get It No wherever you

(02:08:17):
get podcasts.

Speaker 3 (02:08:19):
Yeah, that podcast is. It's blowing up.

Speaker 4 (02:08:23):
And with this kind of stuff we got today, you
can see why some of the horrible things that are
going on in society. I get a chance to talk
about that with Glenn Beck on Glenn Beck TV coming
up Friday.

Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
So, but a brand new episode out this weekend.

Speaker 4 (02:08:38):
Thirteen episodes available for you now wherever you get podcasts.
A podcast that takes on the supernatural from a biblical worldview.

Speaker 3 (02:08:48):
Tit lan dot com.

Speaker 4 (02:08:50):
I know, I mean watching everything that's going on with
RFK Junior and making America healthy again. We're a medicated bunch,
the OUSA. And you may be like a lot of
us that say think I'm going to minimize the shots,
not saying all shots are bad, but if I can
do the same thing, I'm trying to do more naturally

(02:09:10):
without a pharmaceutical, I think I'm in So maybe you
are one of the many that will start taatelan dot com.
Takelean dot com from our friends at brick House Nutrition.
These are the people that bring you Field of Greens,
and you know how much I love it and I'm
drinking it every single day, and I have seen incredible
results of getting that nutrition. Tatelean is from them as well.

(02:09:33):
It takes a natural approach to suppressing the appetite naturally,
keeping the sugar at a healthy level, naturally giving you
clean energy even though you are losing weight, naturally turning
that fat into energy. So if you like to find
out more, go to tatelan dot com get twenty percent
off using the code big vox. Also, there's a link

(02:09:56):
at rickburgesshow dot com under the sponsors. So we move
into our second update from out there, out there in
the yonder land mysterious interstellar object. As I read to
you going to the break, it's morphing in unexplained ways
as it moves closer to Earth. Greg, you seem to

(02:10:22):
have a little bit of a different attitude about this one.
You know, you're not all fired up about some kind
of ancient river bed and now Mars here this.

Speaker 3 (02:10:30):
One, this one they're coming at.

Speaker 4 (02:10:32):
It is that worried about my micronism? Got it, it's
micro I don't I don't care nothing about all that.
A worm or a fly, just we got it.

Speaker 3 (02:10:41):
You're only going to Mars of Henley, Henry Winkler, Martians
or that. Yeah, it's heading is is a head in
our direction?

Speaker 7 (02:10:49):
It's still Yes, closest approach will be December twenty twenty five.
It looks like a comet and it acts like an asteroid.

Speaker 3 (02:10:55):
Is this the same one we shot at and it
bounced off or is that a difference?

Speaker 7 (02:10:59):
No? No, no, no, that's a hell fire missile in
which I've got that footage if you guys want that
as well. And it's just the ones that's the same
thing where you know, this is an interstellar object. Greg,
it's coming into our solar side.

Speaker 4 (02:11:10):
Oh I got yeah, Okay, So this is not the
one that Bruce Willis shot at so long when they're
on the asteroid.

Speaker 3 (02:11:19):
Yeah, is that all we had to do? They could
have cut a little more out of it. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:11:22):
What what Adler was referring to that the what they
shot the Helfire missile at or whatever. There was a
in Washington, d C. There was a hearing in front
of Congress yesterday where a DC military whistle blower testified
that they've been seeing UFOs and other other stuff, and
they shared some wild footage of what appears to be

(02:11:44):
an object or a UFO that got hit by a
missile and apparently survived, just the hellfire missile just bounced
off of it.

Speaker 3 (02:11:51):
Yes, it's a bizarre So.

Speaker 7 (02:11:53):
You have a drone tracking this object in the middle.
So we're we have a drone flying above this object,
and it is true acking this object in the middle
of the screen. You're gonna see from up here a
hell fire missile hit the object, and the hell fire
missile is gonna split in half, and the object is
going to.

Speaker 3 (02:12:09):
Keep And pauls, this is not the interstellar object.

Speaker 5 (02:12:12):
We're now on Earth.

Speaker 6 (02:12:14):
The interstellar's coming. It's got to Greg's attention. And now,
when was a hearing in front of Congress they showed
this footage.

Speaker 4 (02:12:21):
What I'm watching right now is from the hearing, not
the interstellar object that's crashing toward Earth.

Speaker 3 (02:12:25):
Yes, correct, And when was this footage supposedly gathered?

Speaker 7 (02:12:28):
This footage was released just this week, Representative Anna Paulina
Luna was kind of has been spearheading this over and
over again, but this footage is the first I've seen
it as far as when it was captured that I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (02:12:41):
Good question though. Here we go, all right, so here
and it has some audio here once it happens. The
video footage itself doesn't have any footage in.

Speaker 7 (02:12:51):
Boom, there's your hell fire and then the thing kind
of wobbles a little bit, but then recovers and keeps going.

Speaker 8 (02:12:58):
You're going to see, okay, well this is still rolling,
mister news to Telly real quick, yes or no?

Speaker 5 (02:13:02):
Answers?

Speaker 8 (02:13:03):
Are you aware of anything in the government United States
government arsenal that can split a health fire and missile
like this and do whatever blob thing it didn't then
keep going nothing nothing, All right? How about you, Chief
Wigan Wiggans okay, and how about you, mister Borland.

Speaker 3 (02:13:20):
I prefer to answer that in the skiff m in okay,
private setting.

Speaker 8 (02:13:25):
Does this video scare you guys?

Speaker 18 (02:13:28):
Yes or no?

Speaker 5 (02:13:30):
Yes Wiggins, yes, Nat.

Speaker 3 (02:13:34):
I had a different reaction. I was really happy that
it got out. Thanks for providing, all right, mister kind
of answers yes for okay, all right.

Speaker 7 (02:13:46):
That is.

Speaker 3 (02:13:50):
You got to be ugly and speak weird to be
on this commit You're not allowed. Nobody that's normal can
be on this community.

Speaker 5 (02:13:59):
Does that scare?

Speaker 9 (02:13:59):
You did?

Speaker 3 (02:14:07):
That scare you.

Speaker 1 (02:14:24):
Did y'all?

Speaker 3 (02:14:24):
Notice that that was anybody that looked normal, they said.

Speaker 4 (02:14:29):
They said, actually some handsome and uh and and pretty
people wanted to be on there, and they wouldn't let
them all.

Speaker 3 (02:14:36):
UF we care. We only care what some tough to
look at and weird sounding people think.

Speaker 9 (02:14:41):
Go ahead.

Speaker 6 (02:14:41):
Yeah, And there's a couple of things that I need
closure own. One is we're not changing time anymore. They're
gonna keep running every year saying they're going to change time,
and they're not.

Speaker 3 (02:14:54):
This footage.

Speaker 6 (02:14:54):
We keep seeing footage, but nobody ever comes out with
anything and just says.

Speaker 3 (02:14:58):
I'll check that out and then we move. Yeah, able
to take text.

Speaker 6 (02:15:02):
Yeah, I need closure on this and tell me what
that somebody says, Hey, we shot at this and we
got it.

Speaker 5 (02:15:08):
It's in this box.

Speaker 3 (02:15:09):
We're bringing it in. Let's check this out.

Speaker 4 (02:15:10):
Taking that little gray and not there's important when we
continue to let Buck Wilde make coffee.

Speaker 3 (02:15:15):
Nor so he'll make it. He's a strong one. Wow,
he'll be a strong coffee. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 4 (02:15:21):
All right, So if the interstellar anything we need to
add today, Sorry, general's coming after us?

Speaker 3 (02:15:28):
What hitting the Earth? What's happening?

Speaker 5 (02:15:30):
We we don't know what it is.

Speaker 7 (02:15:32):
We don't know why it's changing color. It's changing color
from reddish to green. Yeah, reddish to greenish?

Speaker 3 (02:15:38):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (02:15:39):
And the like I said in December, December twenty twenty five,
is when it will be closest to Earth.

Speaker 4 (02:15:44):
Right, So I'm like, oh, I thought this was you
know what they'll say something they go like in twenty thirty, yeah,
twenty one, but close to earth? What does that mean?
A lot of things are close to Earth that is
going to hit us.

Speaker 5 (02:15:56):
That is when it will be the closest it will
not hit us.

Speaker 3 (02:15:59):
Now, then there you go. Then it goes Greg. Then
let's worry about what's going. Let's wear about ball game
Friday night. Then yeah, kind of like his missile thing
cleared up.

Speaker 4 (02:16:08):
Ye, the missile thing is we don't know when it was,
and I'd like to know, so I would think we
already survived it.

Speaker 3 (02:16:12):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (02:16:13):
But the other thing is is, uh, the these type
of things don't really matter, because there's also a rumor
that the rapture is this month, so don't.

Speaker 3 (02:16:24):
Ye hey, never mind. Then you know what that panel
look like. Have you ever seen in Star Wars or
whatever when they enter like a bar and all these
weird creatures.

Speaker 4 (02:16:37):
Wait a minute, wait a minute, what they may be
so knowledgeable they are aliens. We have a panel of
beings from all over that we don't even know about,
and men in black there.

Speaker 1 (02:16:54):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He will likely be
the new CEO of Cracker Barrel Rick Birches.

Speaker 3 (02:17:17):
Now, if we solved that problem, then we beat them.
Handle handle. Okay, you are welcome.

Speaker 4 (02:17:27):
You all right, So as we're making our way back,
we thank you for being with us today.

Speaker 3 (02:17:34):
Did you did you hear what Speedy said in the break?
So we did, we did.

Speaker 9 (02:17:38):
Greg.

Speaker 3 (02:17:39):
By the way, Greg, not trying to panic everybody.

Speaker 4 (02:17:41):
I've been doing a little more research this interstellar Jeer,
that is oto movie that is coming toward our planet.
We'll be close to our planet where the light of
debate about it, it's nearest point. Not trying to panic
anybody thirteen million miles away.

Speaker 3 (02:17:57):
Who hey, so close call?

Speaker 5 (02:18:00):
I just played a everybody's package.

Speaker 3 (02:18:02):
What did they consider close?

Speaker 5 (02:18:04):
Here you go here it is.

Speaker 7 (02:18:06):
Listen to this one part of it because they're going
to talk about the pass by. This is courtesy of NBC,
and the dude.

Speaker 5 (02:18:11):
Is going to talk about what it is and how
close it's getting.

Speaker 7 (02:18:15):
On all that.

Speaker 5 (02:18:16):
It's going to talk about the pass by.

Speaker 19 (02:18:18):
It behaves like an asteroid. Yet in the latest images
from the James web Space telescope, the object appears to
defy simple explanations.

Speaker 15 (02:18:30):
When it arrives closest to the Sun, the Earth would
be on the opposite side and we won't be able
to observe it. But that's exactly the time when it
could do a maneuver to slow down and visit us.
And one wonders whether this trajectory was designed by some
extraterrestrial intelligence.

Speaker 4 (02:18:51):
So the sign is going to be blocking our view
of it, and at that point it may knocket out
of gear a little bit. Typically speaking, was that a
German he sent a Germany did, And Germans, when they
say anything is terrifying, it is, it's absolutely and that
made it worse.

Speaker 3 (02:19:08):
This maybe a time when they should shaken at that
and visit touched. So as we all come around the sun.
I'll say, oh here, let me go over here. We
will be the ones to greet them.

Speaker 5 (02:19:18):
Harvard's Avy lobe eBay maybe lob I don't know. He's
an Israeli American physicist.

Speaker 2 (02:19:26):
Okay, not sure from Harvard.

Speaker 3 (02:19:28):
Just the opposite of German. Just this, but it reminded
me that it did. He had that sound that.

Speaker 4 (02:19:35):
Too, scary son, we'll see where he said. I'm more
turn right, that's right, many going out. I'm not concerned
about it. I'm more concerned about we had something flying around.
We couldn't shoot them, shout problem and it shrugged it
off like nothing.

Speaker 3 (02:19:51):
That is a problem.

Speaker 4 (02:19:52):
But but but smelly subject Speedy said, all the stuff
that we have in front of us every day.

Speaker 3 (02:20:00):
He admitted, looking up more. Yeah, you look at the
sky a lot more every night. Do you really try
to find two planes? Really? To see this? Two planes?
Two planes a night? I am then I can go
in it? Does it does just relax you a little bit?
Does it? Oh? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (02:20:17):
Sometimes you net hurts a little because you're looking up
cloudy nights.

Speaker 3 (02:20:20):
I got a crook in my neck.

Speaker 6 (02:20:21):
But and I know there's apps where I could cheat
and know where they are, but I have to try
to find look for Oryan's belt.

Speaker 3 (02:20:27):
Oh yeah, I'm not all that interested in too.

Speaker 6 (02:20:31):
Well, I'll say this, I realized, but I didn't look
up as much as I should years ago.

Speaker 3 (02:20:37):
Yeah, so I tried to for it. Oh yeah, you
you do.

Speaker 6 (02:20:41):
What if you see something that nobody can explain, Greg,
I mean because you live so far. I keep trying
to tell everybody about it and grub worm on Mars,
but here it starts to.

Speaker 3 (02:20:50):
Grow if it makes it to us.

Speaker 4 (02:20:51):
Yeah, and then they probe you, Greg, Yeah, and then
they capture you. I could get captured out there in
the middle of drive one night.

Speaker 3 (02:20:57):
Yeah. Have y'all ever thought about this? That's hilarious. Have
y'all ever thought about this? So honestly?

Speaker 4 (02:21:05):
Okay, And so we don't know if there's you know,
you know, where I really stand on all this, But
for fun, let's let's pretend. Okay, I actually think looking
at the society, the one I currently live in, there's
a chance it's an upgrade. I think I'm more afraid
of the society I live in than the one that

(02:21:25):
might be out there.

Speaker 3 (02:21:28):
The one I live in.

Speaker 4 (02:21:29):
I know about them a lot and this, this society
is terrifying. Now, I don't I'm not called to a
spirit of fear, so I don't let it cripple me.
But I've looked around. So what exactly am I afraid of?
Have y'all seen what's around us?

Speaker 3 (02:21:40):
Yeah, that's true, that's true. Hello, anybody ever thought it
could be an upgrade? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:21:45):
I don't think they'd stay. I think they'd be a
lot to strust somewhere else. Yeah, weirdo. What if they
laid it in Chicago on the weekend, They'll be like,
let's truy somewhere else, dangerous, under fire the whole time.
We're right now. But they don't need any he back
to this hearing in front of Congress. These were all
whistleblowers or guys that used to be in right now
they're there, they're out on the outside. Yeah, so we

(02:22:06):
all know on the inside, they know what that was.

Speaker 2 (02:22:09):
We all show that.

Speaker 3 (02:22:10):
Yeah, and come on, I tell you who it was
their ride. Yeah, listen, some of these you get your
hell fire missile hit it. I'm on resting President.

Speaker 4 (02:22:19):
I'm on record. That old Goudy, that's that's a weird
looking dude. He's not MS McConnell. Weird looking dude.

Speaker 3 (02:22:25):
Whatever happened to Gaudy Goudy's turned into something odd? I know,
I'm wearing these wearing suits all this time and then
they're starting to get was born at us? I like him.

Speaker 4 (02:22:35):
That doesn't mean that, but something's happened to Gaudy. Goudy
at one time didn't look as weird as he looks.

Speaker 16 (02:22:40):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:22:40):
It's almost like somebody said, you know, you're a little
bit odd, but you could be odder and look at
it looks like a brand menace. Yeah, how about this.
I can't watch Gaudy on TV. You can when he
does that Sunday Night show. I mean, well, he wears
that hair too.

Speaker 4 (02:22:55):
It's like somebody went in there get that onlass. It's
like they went in there and said, you don't look
cone enough. Let's get some more cone and and your
ears need to be more prominent, you.

Speaker 3 (02:23:04):
Know, come up with you right?

Speaker 4 (02:23:08):
Yes, almost like somebody got his skin was tight. Then
you're wearing its normal here when you're wearing a human suit,
you start off. Really I think it's the hair, y'all.
He really pulls that pictured that one. Look at this
right when he guys when he comes on your television,
it's it's shocking.

Speaker 6 (02:23:22):
Yeah, he doesn't need to say he wants a three
or a five anymore.

Speaker 3 (02:23:26):
Cut it is a two? Yeah right there on there. Yes,
I was watching those guys at the festival this past weekend.
Do change saw art. It's like somebody worked on his head. Yeah,
maybe not change that, but you're right, and his whole
look a little mohawk like. And each time I'm like him,
I the only one noticing this.

Speaker 4 (02:23:43):
It's almost like something he went in and he was
talking to somebody said, you know, I've got a few
odd features, and somebody says, don't hold back, emphasize them.

Speaker 3 (02:23:49):
But you say you like him, You say you like him.
I'm sure I like him. Yeah, I like. But I
had a lot of friends growing up that look weird.
I like.

Speaker 4 (02:23:56):
But you think I don't make fun. Don't forget McConnell.
Not only does he look weird, he'll get hung up,
he'll get two blocked in a minute.

Speaker 3 (02:24:02):
I mean, he's I don't matter.

Speaker 4 (02:24:05):
I went to high school with a guy that just
walked around openly being called skillet. Yeah, and it was
because how black he was, like as any family or
actually they gave me the nickname his family, Yeah, little boy, Yeah,
because some would so. I mean, he was he was
just black of persons I've ever known, and so much.

Speaker 3 (02:24:23):
His nickname was Skillett.

Speaker 4 (02:24:24):
His family named him there, Yes, a cast iron Skillett.
And so we acknowledged that his presentation was interesting.

Speaker 3 (02:24:30):
But I liked him. Yeah, of course, Rick, that's yeah.
I got so many, but I'm gonna let him go there, right,
I ain't a lizard keep he's got quite the goosele.
Why do we keep letting Mitch McConnell operate?

Speaker 6 (02:24:47):
I think didn't he after he got two blocked?

Speaker 4 (02:24:50):
The second time you talk about somebody there, you're talking
about letting somebody. Can't no Republican make fun of what
they did with Biden us letting Mitch McConnell go aslong
as we nobody loved Mitch McConnell.

Speaker 3 (02:25:02):
His family didn't love him, We didn't love him. We
let him just We let him completely California.

Speaker 4 (02:25:07):
We let him completely go dark one time and freeze
up like somebody had hit a pause butt.

Speaker 3 (02:25:13):
They had to reboot him, and we had to reboot him,
and we still brought him back.

Speaker 5 (02:25:16):
Yeah, y'all Diane Feinstein that what you're talking about.

Speaker 3 (02:25:19):
They roll in yeah, like say yes, ma'am. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:25:23):
Mitch McConnell, you do hair present.

Speaker 3 (02:25:29):
Ma'am say here that you're supposed to stay here now hair?
Oh yes, oh yes, sorry buddy.

Speaker 7 (02:25:34):
Mitch McConnell announced he will retire at the end of
his term, but that's not until twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (02:25:41):
No, where is he right now? But you don't get
out a lot other than sunning on a log somewhere.

Speaker 7 (02:25:48):
Yes, eating goldfish raw.

Speaker 3 (02:25:53):
Yo.

Speaker 5 (02:25:53):
I'm sorry I started this where it's going?

Speaker 1 (02:25:56):
Did you just tell us to stop?

Speaker 5 (02:25:57):
You?

Speaker 3 (02:25:58):
Where did that?

Speaker 4 (02:25:59):
Did y'all see two grand kids? It's like a helpless
person getting beat up. Nobody step in person started I
started for I actually started this whole comversation.

Speaker 3 (02:26:14):
Two grandparent breakfasts. I'm telling you that's what this is about.
This week, I'll be back to normal. Look at the
last one, but do not read it. That's hilarious. I
can't say it. Yeah, that's really good. It's terrible, but
it's good. Oh, we come back. You know, we're very
concerned about our American society.

Speaker 4 (02:26:32):
Very This is not gonna help, you know, we've we've
We've had a theory that we are getting less intelligent
as a people and our society is slowly growing dumber
by the day.

Speaker 3 (02:26:45):
We'll come back with this story and you'll see right
after this.

Speaker 1 (02:26:52):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who shaved
thirty minutes off his last road trip.

Speaker 3 (02:27:11):
Great, not trying to brag, that's uh, that's just what happens,
all right. So we're back.

Speaker 4 (02:27:22):
Thanks for being with us today, hanging out and having
a blast. So Orange, what's happening to our society. We
have tried our best to refute this story and say
maybe it's not true. Maybe it's not true. We but

(02:27:43):
it appears more people are reporting on it. It appears
that it is true. So there is a destination in
France that is spelled n I ce it's niece France.

Speaker 3 (02:27:58):
He's in there. The plays in France.

Speaker 4 (02:28:00):
There's a place in France. Remember your little kid and
you're like, oh, this is this is edgy. So apparently
we had two young ladies. Of course, Greg, you'll love this.
This is how they refer to them as TikToker. Brittany

(02:28:21):
something there, TikToker. So that's a job, that's I'm a TikTok.
Apparently Greg and her hoghly viewed TikTok let's do well.
She posted yesterday that she and her friend can be
seen seen boarding a flight from Rome uh and instead
of her going to France somehow they don't realize they're

(02:28:41):
going to Africa. Uh, they're actually going to a place
in Africa called t u n i s Tis Tennis
as opposed to Nie.

Speaker 3 (02:28:52):
They went to Tennis as opposed to Nie. Now that's
a big miss to go to Africa, not France, but
Tenise is in Tunisia.

Speaker 4 (02:29:00):
But being the fact they're TikTokers, they need material. Oh
here he goes need content. Well, I'm with there is
a chance. Yeah, they set it all up. I'm just
saying there's a chance. So their agent books them on
the wrong flight. They're actually boarding the plane, on the plane,
realize the take off and realize what they've done, and

(02:29:23):
they were able to get off the plane before it departed.

Speaker 3 (02:29:27):
That's a complete set up. It because I don't be
like this. Yeah, they're agent, we're going to do it.

Speaker 6 (02:29:32):
It says here the agent thought they said to Nis
instead of Nie, probably in Tunisia, and they found they
were They were finding out they were on the wrong flight, uh,
driving the wrong continent. Uh, and they were they were boarding.
Everybody's putting their luggage up. Uh, you know they're getting
settled in and here is the back and forth.

Speaker 3 (02:29:51):
Where are you going is this?

Speaker 15 (02:29:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:29:58):
I thought you said nice niece, which is in from
That's why.

Speaker 5 (02:30:03):
You're confused me?

Speaker 2 (02:30:05):
Where is this going?

Speaker 5 (02:30:06):
This? Yea and Tunisia?

Speaker 2 (02:30:08):
Yeah, in Denisia, North Africa.

Speaker 5 (02:30:12):
You're not going to France, right?

Speaker 20 (02:30:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:30:14):
Yeah we are?

Speaker 3 (02:30:15):
You are going to France?

Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
Is that where this is going?

Speaker 3 (02:30:18):
Just go get it. So instead of where's I don't
know where's Tunisia? They haven't pull it up on a
global map. Here. Instead of saying Tunie says out Tenise,
we want to go to Nise, and so she sent

(02:30:40):
him to Tenise.

Speaker 6 (02:30:41):
And they're being a bit this d's trying to put
a luggag job. So now they're trying to get off
the off the fly.

Speaker 2 (02:30:45):
Are you going here? Sorry?

Speaker 3 (02:30:47):
Are you going here?

Speaker 5 (02:30:49):
Is that where we're going?

Speaker 3 (02:30:50):
Flight attended?

Speaker 5 (02:30:52):
Nie?

Speaker 3 (02:30:53):
No, where are we going?

Speaker 2 (02:30:55):
Where are you going?

Speaker 3 (02:30:58):
Where's Tennis?

Speaker 5 (02:30:59):
Henos care?

Speaker 13 (02:31:03):
That's what that is?

Speaker 7 (02:31:06):
This is.

Speaker 5 (02:31:09):
We're going to offer.

Speaker 4 (02:31:13):
Yeah, So you think all this is for Tiktokah, I do.
So you don't think anybody could be that dumb.

Speaker 3 (02:31:22):
It ain't that I can see how it could happen,
but just I mean happened to be in a conversation
with somebody on plane. They brought that set up. Now,
if they weren't TikTokers, then I'd probably give them a chance. Okay,
So you gotta have content Rick ticking niece instead of niece.

Speaker 5 (02:31:40):
That's funny.

Speaker 3 (02:31:41):
Yeah, so it sounds like a plan.

Speaker 4 (02:31:44):
Greg, of course always clearly points out things like this,
and I believe that that is plausible. Well, I mean
they gotta have content, right, which you would say, right again?
You're talking about right again? I mean it had been
proven that I'm right, So I was kind of hasan.

Speaker 3 (02:32:00):
But that's my theory.

Speaker 6 (02:32:01):
We have a saying as a staff. Yeah, hey, the
Greg and me thinks this might we do that?

Speaker 4 (02:32:05):
Ever, were made us question everything, we questioned, all things
got a high success. You weren't even here. And I
was ready to believe that the boy who had the
ball taken from him by the mean Phillies fan, that
her him and his dad set this whole thing up
and get all the free stuff to getting well and
you weren't even here. That's ho much influence you. I
got to think about it right now, those of you

(02:32:27):
that think, you know, hey, man gambling, Hey, we want
to gamble, gamble, gamble.

Speaker 3 (02:32:32):
What's the bad thing about gambling?

Speaker 4 (02:32:34):
Royal Caribbean passenger jumps off cruise ship to avoid sixteen
thousand dollars gambling debt.

Speaker 3 (02:32:41):
I'll be honest with me. I don't blame him. That's
his playing, that's playing.

Speaker 4 (02:32:47):
Sixteen grand Why did you hurl yourself off the cruise
ship because I ran up a sixteen.

Speaker 3 (02:32:52):
Thousand dollars gambling debt? Colly has press one.

Speaker 4 (02:32:56):
So Jay Gonzilis dis jumped off the rat City of
the seas yep oh in so he uh, he jumped
off to try to avoid the gambling debt, his debt
sixteen thousand, seven hundred and ten dollars almost exclusively from
the casino.

Speaker 3 (02:33:15):
All the ship. If he stopped at like eight, you know,
they kept trying to double up, right back, double up,
get it back. I loved the fact that he was
splashed in the water. Of course they got him, they
got that was his plan. He was so desperate he
made it to the port. He was going to jump,
and he and he had done it. And I don't
mean to be I mean, I'm sure they had all

(02:33:37):
of his personal information. I mean, they gonna find you. Okay,
you're right, Rick.

Speaker 6 (02:33:41):
He got there and started running from the port, and
custom and Border Patrol agents were chasing him and got
him at the capitol building there in Puerto Rico.

Speaker 3 (02:33:50):
He had fortunes, desperate about this. He was close.

Speaker 4 (02:33:53):
He had fourteen thousand, six hundred dollars in cash in
a handbag. Oh my, got two cell phones, five different
identification documents. He's up something the way beyond Amen. That
Greg one of them, by the way, a Tennessee identification card.
Really okay, he's going to be a game day. Here's
a lot going on here. He said, I was gonna

(02:34:14):
put it all on Tennessee against Georgia, but any went
on the line. So yeah, gambling debt has ruined lots
and lots and lots and lots of lives.

Speaker 3 (02:34:24):
How about it taking plunge right off the ship.

Speaker 4 (02:34:27):
Well, I mean, you know, I remember, you know the
story that you know has been around since nineteen ninety
six when Sherry and I got on the ship, and
we also ran up a tab thinking that we could
cover it. But I left our American Express, which nobody
knows what those are anymore, the American Travelers travelers chicks,

(02:34:50):
not American Express, but they were called well, I guess
it was the American Spress support those travelers checks but
must be instead of cash left them in the ride
to the airport. I know, I think on my checklist
of what I've I got with me, that's like number one.
Let's say if I got these, there's right of the gate.
You remember, I said when I got back, there's a
reason back when Carl Malden used to do their commercials.

(02:35:11):
Oh uh, there's a reason why in their commercials there's
no cruise scenario because when you're out in international waters,
what they gonna do? And I had to go to
the Norwegians Airline, I mean the Norwegian Cruise line people,
and I just hey, I just told them, you know,
they're like you, you don't have the money to cover

(02:35:32):
all the things y'all have done, and uh, I just said,
I'm sorry, what are you gonna do? Yeah, And then
they were like, we will take it up with your bank.
They signed a little bit German too, there with the Norwegians.
What was the Norwegians? And I remember trying to get
speedy in all of you to get my paycheck.

Speaker 3 (02:35:50):
In the bank so I cover.

Speaker 4 (02:35:51):
It was all horrible, but you know, once they said
we'll take it up with the bank once we get back,
I just cruised back out of the reggae sugn There you.

Speaker 3 (02:36:01):
Go for another fun day. Never never told Sherry anything everything.
She had her little straw hat on. She was having
such a good time.

Speaker 4 (02:36:10):
Well there's no new hosting and buffalo soldier one more
time from the still drum bandy.

Speaker 3 (02:36:17):
Loto it gout.

Speaker 6 (02:36:19):
I think you said as you approached every purchase, it
was like.

Speaker 4 (02:36:25):
They're taking it up with the bank. Never seen the
paycheck disappear so fast. I remember thinking maybe they won't
find it.

Speaker 3 (02:36:30):
And also one day the scoot came through Norwegian Cruise
Lines just took all your money. Tom of the album.

Speaker 1 (02:36:38):
This is the Rick Burgess Showers.

Speaker 3 (02:36:55):
Broadcasting from the real world.

Speaker 4 (02:37:03):
Here we go America, brandyw iur thank you for being
with us. You're ready to go, leus go.

Speaker 3 (02:37:08):
We got I scring phone calls coming up this hour
and we'll run down some more stories for you. Greg
and Speedy Handler, they're here, everybody saying it.

Speaker 4 (02:37:22):
Back, broadcasting from the real, keeping it real, always here
and paying no attention to the fake world, helping you
discern which one is which. Uh, sometimes it gets more
and more difficult, doesn't it. We started a brand new hour.
Thank you for being here, Thanks for the encouragement, thanks
for the support. And uh, you know, I was asking
Speedy in the break because I remember remember meeting Oliver

(02:37:44):
North back in the Rick and Bubby years and and
developed a you know, a pretty solid relationship with him.
That's been a long time since we've been in touch,
but even it was part of like a book tour
with him one time, and always enjoyed his company and
was always good to the to the former show.

Speaker 3 (02:38:03):
So big headline today.

Speaker 4 (02:38:04):
Does everybody remember Fawn Hall, his document shredding secretary at
the center of the Iran contra scandal. The reports from
CNN also we have TV stations reporting this that he
and Fawn Hall have now married each other.

Speaker 3 (02:38:23):
Yeah. How old is he? Oh, he's got to be
got to be eighties. Let's see.

Speaker 6 (02:38:29):
I know that his Elizabeth Stewart North, his his wife.
She died at the age of eighty and December of
last year.

Speaker 3 (02:38:39):
He's eighty one, So he's eighty one. It's she is.

Speaker 4 (02:38:45):
Her husband also has passed away. You know, she married,
they said, after this was all over, you know, she
kind of left the public eye. We didn't hear from
her anymore after the whole Iran contrasts and all that.
That she went out and married Dan Sugarman, who managed
the doors right until his death in two thousand and five.

Speaker 5 (02:39:08):
She's sixty five.

Speaker 3 (02:39:09):
Uh oh okay, ally.

Speaker 4 (02:39:11):
Ally so, so these two, you know, knew each other.
She was his secretary. She was the one accused of
shredding documents and all that. And now they're marrying each
other after both their spouses have passed, which they.

Speaker 3 (02:39:29):
Certainly can do. They have nothing no more August to
the date, and now it's it's been reported.

Speaker 6 (02:39:36):
So yeah, And and to your point, Rick, I'm sitting
here looking at the USA today that you've got every major.

Speaker 3 (02:39:45):
Outlet is reporting this. So well, that's a pretty big story.

Speaker 4 (02:39:48):
Even though they're both especially Oliver North, much older now
and they both stayed married to their spouses for a
long time.

Speaker 3 (02:39:57):
But in both their spouses, you know, are have pasted.
It's still just a kind of thing. It's making headlines
because of there, Ryan Conscious. Yeah that was so public.
Oh yeah, here's the wedding certificate. You got it?

Speaker 6 (02:40:11):
So yeah, August twenty seventh, secret ceremony in Virginia.

Speaker 4 (02:40:14):
Okay, so I guess that's why you and I were invited.
M So it's just now coming out to everybody, like
you said, they they found it out.

Speaker 8 (02:40:26):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (02:40:26):
It is a funny one here in CNN story, they're
saying that when C and N tried to call him
about it, he was like, I'm not going to comment,
and then they asked him why, and he quoted Clark
Gable from Going with the Wind. He said, oh, he said, frankly,
my dear, I don't I don't care. Yeah, but he
said the quote the same cell phone number, I don't

(02:40:46):
know congratulates. So hey, Oli, what's up?

Speaker 11 (02:40:49):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:40:49):
Well, there you go. He was always so kind, Yeah
he was, and came he was a fat fast one
that one. Yeah the time that for some reason, Yeah,
that he wasn't.

Speaker 6 (02:41:00):
When rich Sean Hannity is always jealous because he gives
us more than him, he said.

Speaker 4 (02:41:03):
Right, yeah, Oli did like this than Sean. I hated
to tell you, but yeah, Oli North was at one
of our fat fests. Picture of your family had a
picture bad and he uh the probably the most entertaining.
And I don't remember. I think it was after a
book signing. He was on the show that day and

(02:41:23):
Bubba and I went to the I think we went
to the book signing. We were there too, And I
don't know if we had two book signings going together
because we were with the same bunch, Thomas Nelson.

Speaker 3 (02:41:33):
And all that. But anyway, I remember we went to
eat at Ruth Chris and they put us in a
private room and we sat in there and Ali was basically,
I'm just I'm gonna I'll talk about anything, and and
boy did he have some stories. He had some great
ones about Reagan. Yes, he was loyal, he was and

(02:41:57):
I think, I mean, can I talk about these I
probably not, No, not if it was in private, probably not. Well, yeah,
that's probably even though it wasn't anything negative. No, he's
a private setting. You can just kind of stop there.
Every though, we'd all love to hear. And he was,
he was loyal and.

Speaker 4 (02:42:14):
He was He just said that Reagan was a master
at what he did. Yes, even involving his his foreign
policies and dealing with the world.

Speaker 3 (02:42:27):
He was masterful with that too. He could win you
over and if he needed something done, he'd get it done.
Unfortunately he decided to go around Congress. But I mean
still Fawn had to do some shreading.

Speaker 4 (02:42:39):
Well, you know to me when I saw that, and again,
you know, they've all everybody involved, it's all over now.
But I think what happened there, just for me someone
up in the stands watching, is that Reagan had made
the commitment to Nika Iowa uh and and and the Congress,

(02:43:02):
who was Democrats, tried to stop him from funding the
freedom fighters, and he had told him he was going
to so he just did anyone, Yeah, we found another
way to do it. He didn't use taxpayer money, by
the way, but but he got it done. Felt like
his word meant something right.

Speaker 3 (02:43:21):
Well, but we do have a system that used to
work with.

Speaker 4 (02:43:26):
But I mean, if you go out and get an
investor for lack of a better term, and you don't
take the tax dollars, and you don't use the money
that the legislator, the legislative branch wouldn't give you, you
just go get money somewhere else and fund them.

Speaker 3 (02:43:41):
I mean it's a it's a juggling.

Speaker 6 (02:43:43):
I mean, look at look at what we mean covered
with us A been funding a lot of stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:43:48):
Yes we have We'll fund something in a second. Yeah,
So there you go.

Speaker 6 (02:43:53):
But then you think about it all the scandals that
that are like some of the biggest scandals in our
lifetime that you know, we talked talk about, and then
you think that like this last presidency, they had auto
pins and walked around that had no sense, and we
still are trying to uncover who was really running the government.

Speaker 3 (02:44:09):
That's going to be quite a story. Yep, it is.
I don't know how it works in heaven. When it
comes out, it's gonna be. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:44:15):
I don't know how it works in heaven. I don't
think there's any ill will in heaven. I think that
can say that with no U so you probably can't
get in trouble for anything else once it's all done. Okay,
But but I know my wife, okay, and I know
y'all's wives if they can. I don't know how it
works in heaven, okay, but they say they went on
before us, and there was a secretary we had that.

Speaker 3 (02:44:37):
They always kind of questioned. They always wanted do you
think they did question. I'm the fact she had a
stripper's name didn't help Greg. It's not Greg, that's it's
not fair to say that.

Speaker 4 (02:44:53):
But what I did, okay, But I can just see
me coming into glory. But I don't think this, this
is gonna happen. By the way this would be, this
would happen to Ali with his wife. I don't you
come on into glory. Everything you did is allowed in
the Bible. I mean that everybody passed, they married each other,
but I know that a wife would have to say

(02:45:15):
so after I died.

Speaker 3 (02:45:15):
I didn't after a faun's husband died. Y'all got married?
What was that about?

Speaker 9 (02:45:20):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:45:21):
Nothing? I mean, Oh so y'all, y'all had something going
all on. Didn't you that I was gonna ask that.
I just say that. I didn't say it.

Speaker 7 (02:45:29):
No, when when the whole shredding thing was going on
and and all, he's in front of Congress and she's
getting questions because I didn't.

Speaker 5 (02:45:37):
I wasn't in on all this. Was there speculation back then,
like just in the public. I was going to ask you, guys,
I don't remember probably, but she had that eighties hair
rocking she did, she did, she did hurricanes.

Speaker 3 (02:45:50):
Has I heard even more?

Speaker 6 (02:45:51):
Stage three Faun to his wife, you know that's in heaven. Faun, yes,
that that they saw each other at her funeral, And
as spar them talking again, she went to that.

Speaker 4 (02:46:05):
That Folly's wife is in all in funeral? Do I
remember them being I mean, she's in the presence of
the Lord. Everything's perfect. She probably didn't care about that
kind of stuff, you know. But what I'm saying is,
if there is some way to care, every wife would say, wow,
So you married your secretary after I died.

Speaker 3 (02:46:23):
I always wondered about y'all. No, there was, there's nothing
everyone on. Well, obviously you wanted something wrong because you
sure to define yourself attracted or after I died.

Speaker 4 (02:46:29):
Yeah, shut up my funeral you I'll start talking. I mean,
you're eighty one years old. You married her at sixty five,
so you always wanted to marry her. Now, I don't
think any of that's allowed in heaven.

Speaker 3 (02:46:38):
So that's good. But I'm just saying you'd hear about it.

Speaker 5 (02:46:43):
Yeah, that's why you always have a.

Speaker 3 (02:46:46):
And I don't believe what and I don't believe in ghosts.
But if the former.

Speaker 4 (02:46:53):
Missus North, yeah, can come back in some sort of
vapor spirit in but instead of the foot of that
bed she's.

Speaker 3 (02:47:00):
Going to he's my nature.

Speaker 9 (02:47:02):
Right.

Speaker 3 (02:47:03):
Oh wow, y'all have had something going all along, and
I'm definitely say that's the case. I'm just saying it
would be.

Speaker 1 (02:47:08):
This is the Rick Burgess Show in a world that
has gone nuts. They are here to well to point

(02:47:29):
it up. The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (02:47:33):
That's what we do.

Speaker 4 (02:47:34):
Thank you for being here, America. Let me ask you
a question. Have you got a house you need to
sell fast?

Speaker 1 (02:47:40):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (02:47:40):
You don't wanna? You think?

Speaker 4 (02:47:41):
Man, anyway I can get around commissions to some real
estate agent and answers yes, uh, sell my house fast.
You may be in a situation where the company's moving.
You got to go, got to sell this a honey.

Speaker 3 (02:47:54):
I'm going on ahead.

Speaker 4 (02:47:56):
Uh stay here and sell this house, and I gotta
find a house join me there. Well, they come in,
they say, we'll sell this house fast. We'll get you cash,
We'll make this happen quickly, totally transparent, We'll get it done.
Maybe you've inherited a house and some property.

Speaker 3 (02:48:13):
You're like and it's an ill repair. Things need to
be moved. They can do all that too.

Speaker 4 (02:48:20):
So maybe you, you know, are being a landlord, thinking
you sharp, I'm gonna be a landlord and people are
driving you crazy. These tenants. You can sell these houses
as well or a house. Put them to work for you.
They've got five star reviews all over Google. Sell my
house fast, find the number at rick Burgess, show Rick
burgesshow dot coment or sponsors or call them directly one

(02:48:43):
eight hundred seventy three four zero five zero four and
they'll get the job done, all right. So people are
telling us on text Nation that Larry are patch man
as it's Larry and Patch it Larry and Carolyn, that
Larry he has had to chase down a squirrel, a

(02:49:03):
squirrel that that grabbed his glasses. A squirrel grabbed Larry's
glasses and he's had to chase down the squirrel to
get his glasses back.

Speaker 3 (02:49:13):
That's what it's saying. I mean, people don't know Larry's
that fast. Now, you know, one time they got to
be quick. Now, Larry's shold us stories before that he
made up. That's true.

Speaker 4 (02:49:22):
He may be trying to come into chat room with
something sharp. Well may again if it really is dB
Cooper's heard all that yesterday, so no, we we haven't
heard this. But after they say this is going on
in the YouTube chat room that Larry's squirrel, Larry's wearing
his glasses or the squirrel pick him up off the table.

Speaker 3 (02:49:42):
He grabbed my glasses and the squirrel was nots.

Speaker 4 (02:49:45):
Not off his Okay, all right, Yeah, I don't know
if he chased it down. Maybe his glasses want there.

Speaker 3 (02:49:51):
Maybe he was chasing the squirrel screaming stop, stop, stop,
bring my glasses.

Speaker 6 (02:49:56):
And its and it dropped the glasses and then he
got them.

Speaker 3 (02:49:58):
I'm gonna put you, I'm gonna I patch. Yeah, but
I don't think the squirrel took the glasses off his head.
Maybe out of the table. Maybe that it would be
better if it took it off his head. By the way, we.

Speaker 6 (02:50:09):
Sat out there and smoked that black and Mind together.

Speaker 3 (02:50:11):
Squirrels love black and miles every my nose.

Speaker 4 (02:50:13):
I saw some some strange squirrel occurrence by the way,
Sherry and I were on the screened in porch having dinner.
We'll do that if it's a squirrel occurrence, if it's
not overly Larry.

Speaker 3 (02:50:24):
Sorry.

Speaker 5 (02:50:25):
Just to go back to Larry, I found his message
going back just a little bit. He said, I had
to catch a squirrel down and get my glasses back.
It ran and dropped them in the neighbor's yard.

Speaker 3 (02:50:37):
Okay, so he was running after a squirrel. Y'all scream.
So I went, have y'all ever seen this before? Chris?

Speaker 4 (02:50:43):
I thought out in nature that the squirrel would have
the upper hand, and what I saw did not confirm that.
So Sherry and I when we when we were eating
dinner outside on the screened in porch, you can see
the backyard, you know, the magnificent pergola, uh in the
in the pool and the pool deck and all that's
right there. You can see it as we're out there.
It's not overly humid. We'll get out on the screen
and porch apparently. So, so we see this squirrel and

(02:51:09):
it gets down on the pool deck and it starts
moving around, and it keeps making its way toward the water,
and I'm like, here we go again.

Speaker 3 (02:51:16):
Another animal is gonna jump in this water. And then we.

Speaker 4 (02:51:19):
Notice that this the squirrel just all of a sudden
did all this little haunches and got over in the
pool and start drinking out of the pool, getting a
drink of water like a little tiny dog.

Speaker 3 (02:51:31):
And so Sherry makes a comment like, I don't know
if that's the best water for it's a squirrel, bab,
it's gonna do anything.

Speaker 4 (02:51:37):
So about the time the squirrels had enough water, which
was kind of weird, it goes out like to make
its way now out and a chipmunk comes comes from
the other end and now starts coming onto the pool deck.

Speaker 3 (02:51:48):
We're eat up with chipmunks, Okay, I got a few
months and and they're they're really hard to get rid of.

Speaker 4 (02:51:54):
And I think, well, and all of a sudden, I
notice here comes the face off the squirrel and the
chipmunk kind of looked at you like what what what what?

Speaker 3 (02:52:03):
And I was like, well, there's plenty of room for
them just to avoid each other. Why what is this?

Speaker 4 (02:52:09):
And there was a little bit of a face off,
and you're not gonna believe he'd got that upper hand
the chipmunk. Really, the chipmunk went ferociously after that squirrel,
and yeah, it went and the squirrel kind of like
jumped and they're like hey, now hey, raising stripes and
the squirrel, of course, could do something the chipmunk apparently
can't do and went up a tree. But the chipmunk

(02:52:30):
ran that squirrel off, I mean got aggressively saw it.
I saw it wide open, and I thought I wouldn't
I wouldn't familiar with that in the animal kingdom.

Speaker 3 (02:52:38):
He went on out that path right there, and he
went right out that path.

Speaker 6 (02:52:41):
Sometimes you can just be a big problem and people
don't want to be.

Speaker 5 (02:52:44):
Chip Yeah, dyn comes to small packages.

Speaker 3 (02:52:46):
Thought there it is again, but that I got a
few chipmunks, man, wow, But yeah, that wouldn't a chipmunk
scares a squirrel, by the way, I didn't know that
I would thought the squirrel is like rock paper SIV.
The squirrel was like twice aid squirrel covered chipmunk. Uh.

Speaker 4 (02:53:02):
I think we can get to seeing Adler the video eight.
So apparently Nepal just overthrew the government. I mean that's
up there, and I mean that's that, that's you, that's that,
there's you some mountains. Okay, Nepaul threw over the government.
Now left us in our country are claiming they did
it with no Second Amendment either, but they're conveniity leaving

(02:53:25):
out the fact that we can see footage they they
had guns.

Speaker 3 (02:53:30):
You don't. You're not.

Speaker 5 (02:53:31):
You're going to go in with this state, right right,
So here you go.

Speaker 3 (02:53:36):
It's crazy when they all have guns. Yeah, that's there's
a there's a gun. The tons of guns. Not a
lot of gun safety. I see. When does Nepaul have
a king or a prime minister? What do they have?
But they're not happy with them.

Speaker 5 (02:53:52):
They marched them like down a river. Have you all
seen any of this stuff? I'm learning about it right now. Okay, Yeah,
it's it's crazy. They the I don't know if it's
the president or the prime minister or whatever, but the wife.
Things did not go for her when they went into
the palace.

Speaker 3 (02:54:11):
Yeah, they killed her.

Speaker 5 (02:54:13):
She was burned severely.

Speaker 2 (02:54:15):
The last I heard.

Speaker 3 (02:54:18):
Quick google government structure of Nepal.

Speaker 7 (02:54:21):
Yeah, Paul president wife, I'll just say that. So this
is the Himalayas right, the ex prime minister. The wife
did die. Yeah, they torched they torched the house.

Speaker 3 (02:54:35):
Here it is here, wow, Oh the palace.

Speaker 7 (02:54:38):
The government of Nepal tried to take away like internet
and social media and the people revolted.

Speaker 4 (02:54:47):
No, no where the left is wrong. If they didn't
now they violated the rules. Probably these people may not
have have had a right to a weapon, but in
order to overthrow the government, they needed weapons. So they
got away together, so they found a way to get them. Yeah,
so probably not. Y'all need to pipe down, then you
got this is a terrible example of whatever point y'all

(02:55:09):
trying to make.

Speaker 7 (02:55:09):
It's a bad time to be a communist in Nepal.

Speaker 20 (02:55:14):
Y'all.

Speaker 5 (02:55:14):
There there is the Paull's finance minister was stripped naked
and sent down a river. What y'all it is saying
the footage coming out of the fall that's him.

Speaker 3 (02:55:24):
Next, where's he at?

Speaker 1 (02:55:28):
This is the Rick Burgess Show doing what he was
for the Rick Burgers Show.

Speaker 4 (02:55:52):
We're back, thank you for being with us and text nation. No,
I understand the point that you're saying that that's the
point that the left's trying to make is you don't
need the Second Amendment to still be able to overthrow
the government.

Speaker 3 (02:56:05):
I understood that point.

Speaker 4 (02:56:06):
The reason why I think that is a bad way
to go is you're also approving our point. Those of
us that want the right that was given to us
to bear arms. You know, I don't want to have
to go out there and I have the legal right
to have it. Because what that also shows you is
you can legislate all you want to take guns away

(02:56:27):
from people, thinking you're going to make the place safer.
Another example is if people need guns, they will get them,
so if I don't have the Second Amendment right to
have them myself without the government deeming me illegal as
a law abiding citizen, I don't want to have to
be illegally arming myself. I want to be legally arming myself.

(02:56:47):
So when the people who are going to arm themselves
illegally anyway come after me, if a mob shows up
to come get me, I actually have a chance, or
if the government comes to get me, I've got a chance.
So you know, you take a way the legal right
for it. I understand their point, but they got to
understand ours. You're exactly right. People will go get guns anyway.

(02:57:09):
That's why we need it so that those of us
that want to be law abiding citizens still have a chance.

Speaker 3 (02:57:15):
And it really shows the.

Speaker 4 (02:57:19):
Ignorance of thinking that you can legislate guns out of
people's hands. If you do that, only the law abiding
citizens will be unarmed and the criminals will have all
the arms. So there's a lot in play here. So
fhy I so yeah, but I understand the point. It's
just as usual with the left and their emotion. The

(02:57:39):
point is hasn't been thought all the way through looking
at other things that we have that we have not
covered today on the program is uh and we I know, Greg,
you love this one. This is one of your all
time favorites, and that's number number nine. They're addor Greg,

(02:58:01):
the sheep will have They're ready to line up because
Apple's got some new stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:58:07):
Oh buddy and Greg, stop everything, this is your favorite.
Stop by paying bills, none of that matters. I gotta
buy it.

Speaker 4 (02:58:14):
AirPods Pro three, the new Apple Watch lineup, iPhone seventeen
you can get it all, iPhone seventeen pro, and the
all new iPhone.

Speaker 3 (02:58:28):
Air Slam whatever that is. Yeah, is gonna tell us
all about it. He does, You can do it.

Speaker 2 (02:58:39):
Here's what's up with iPhone AirPods and Apple Watch?

Speaker 3 (02:58:42):
Oh Greg? Oh hey Orange, So this is iPhone seventeen pro.
The sheeple are ready. This thing is built for you know,
like how wild, fun and messy life gets.

Speaker 5 (02:58:52):
I mean, look at it. Look the front screen is
ridiculously scratched.

Speaker 3 (02:58:56):
So don't you have to have it? Greg, gotta stop everything, right,
the cameras on the back of a lot of megapixel cameras,
cameras camera.

Speaker 5 (02:59:07):
Zoom eight X, you can video.

Speaker 3 (02:59:08):
The grand kids. The prof does not play, so it
doesn't play. It doesn't play. So I'm out with the
three colors, blue, silver, and a little different. Right, Uh
you know, I don't know, Greg, Yeah, probably the ones
you just bought and throw them away and go get
one of the You gotta have the latest.

Speaker 4 (02:59:32):
That's thin, Rick, right, it's a little bit thinner, and
then it's a little bit thicker, a little bit tougher.

Speaker 3 (02:59:37):
And look at the megapixel. Now, gracious, I dropped that
thing times. It's so thin.

Speaker 4 (02:59:42):
And even though you can go and get earbudgs from
buy raycon dot com slash big Vox for about half
the price, yeah, and they'll be just as good and better,
but you can't great because you got to have the
latest air. You gotta line up out there in the street.
They're gonna run out. You gotta take money and just
go throw it at the Apple store. I mean, now,
some do the good ones that I thought the new
iPhone was coming out. My battery started dying.

Speaker 5 (03:00:03):
Yeah every single time, Yeah, every single time. All my
stuff stops working.

Speaker 7 (03:00:09):
My AirPods have stopped working, which I got before the
Raycon deal, by the way, that's.

Speaker 3 (03:00:13):
The ones that got stole from that, the one accusation.

Speaker 7 (03:00:17):
Were talking about the current stuff.

Speaker 5 (03:00:20):
Okay, my phone is has slowed to a crawl every
single time this happens.

Speaker 7 (03:00:25):
It's it's not a coincidence anymore, y'all. They're bricking the phone,
so you have to buy a new one.

Speaker 3 (03:00:30):
The sheep will love it, though, Greg they do. They
can't wait stand in line.

Speaker 6 (03:00:35):
The new Apple Watch series eleven, they're saying, is the
first of its kind that it is going to be
able to alert users that they have extremely deadly high
blood pressure, uh, hypertension. The what it monitors now through
the blood vessels and everything. It's going to be able
to send you signals if they see warning signs of

(03:00:57):
maybe high blood blood pressure, excuse me, bit of it, Uh,
maybe signs of heart attacker, stroke, creeping up, kidney failure.

Speaker 3 (03:01:05):
Who wouldn't buy that? Absolutely? It is it look sharp,
it'll save you, uh you iPhone watch people are told
speedy this okay, iPhone. Watch people Apple watch what was
it called?

Speaker 5 (03:01:17):
You're gonna iPhone?

Speaker 4 (03:01:19):
Whatever it is, there's no way I will ever have one.
I don't think, well because you break the battery. I
break it with my super Bowl. Don know, these are
so awesome, Rick, I don't think even your all of
you out there, if we're in a conversation at the table.
The only thing more annoying than people looking at their
phone all the time is constantly putting their wrists up
while I'm talking to you.

Speaker 3 (03:01:39):
Every time they get any kind of alert. Yeah, yeah,
that's good, yess so so so you know, you know
I told you that so and so he's ready to
do sick. Uh huh, and you know, and we need
to be.

Speaker 4 (03:01:49):
It's looking at his wrist and I'm turning and looking
at my They they're constantly it wouldn't matter, and none
of it's ever anything. It's let them know, may they
got a new email. It's let them know they've got
a new text. It's let me know something. But they
have to look at it. They have to take their apartment.
I mean they're taking their wrists up and they just
look at it every time, and it's so frustrating. Rude
when you're trying to talk to somebody and they keep

(03:02:10):
looking at their wrists. Yeah, okay, hey right here, hang
on right here, right here, And of course then you
then you can be on the other end of the spectrum.
My wife who never has her phone with her ever,
so when I am trying to text her and need
her to know things, that's there's nothing I.

Speaker 3 (03:02:27):
Can do now. But we got an iPhone handle at
the house. What's going on?

Speaker 6 (03:02:32):
My dad called me yesterday and I thought there was
a problem, and there kind of is in his world.
Oh no, he said, hey, son, got a problem. I'm like, what, Dad,
what's going on? He said, the bank sent us an
email and I said, okay, what's up? And they said, well,
they're no longer going to the app. You have to
have a certain iOS like sixteen plus they get you

(03:02:55):
or whatever at least to support their app, and anything
older than that it's not gonna be able to support.

Speaker 3 (03:03:02):
That's how they get you.

Speaker 6 (03:03:03):
Well, he's on still on a seven plus on my
and my mom's on an eighth plus. And he goes,
but Ma, your mom, she she she has hers is like,
you know, sixteen point seven, so she can run the app.
I'm like, okay, well, well, well then we'll work on
because I know for the home button, I think in
twenty twenty two they had an se or something that

(03:03:24):
you can get. It's a little hard to find. But
for his h his problem with being able to see
he can't swipe up the screen and know if it's
been activated.

Speaker 3 (03:03:31):
And I so he likes that home button.

Speaker 6 (03:03:32):
I've talked about that before. So he's like, how do
we get the bank app on Mom's phone? And I'm like, well,
go to the app store and download it.

Speaker 3 (03:03:42):
I download what Calvin and out here Mom in the background.

Speaker 6 (03:03:45):
Oh, I'm like, oh no, well, just my mom. I
don't know how y'all's mom, your y'all is and Adler.
I know yours are very tech savvy, but Mom gets
really whenever she gets anything that she can't figure out,
she just shuts down. She's like, and then when it
comes to the tech world, she can be intimidated by it.

Speaker 3 (03:04:07):
And she's like, well, so what do I do? And
I'm like, we just go to the app store.

Speaker 6 (03:04:11):
And get the bank app? Right, And then Dad tries
to coach, you know, and she doesn't like that. John
Calvin's talking you know, and I'm like, okay, And so
they get the app, we're gonna have to call you back.
I got to get dinner ready. I'm like, okay, we
just calls back whatever, that's fine. You know, it's on

(03:04:32):
your time. But Mom, all you have to do is
just download the app and use the user name and
password and boom you got. You got what he's got
and you can use your phone until we get the
other result.

Speaker 9 (03:04:42):
Mom.

Speaker 3 (03:04:42):
We're just moving it to your phone. Okay. So it's downloading, okay,
play by play. Oh you know, son will call you back.
We got to eat. Okay, that's fine, I'm here.

Speaker 9 (03:04:52):
You know.

Speaker 3 (03:04:53):
Twenty minutes goes by. Oh you want to be able.
I mean while while I answer, I can hear you
my why you know, And I'm like, hello, hey, we're
trying to get this done.

Speaker 6 (03:05:03):
And I can tell my dad's voice. He's really agitated
by it, and he's like, I'm trying to tell you
mom how to do this.

Speaker 3 (03:05:10):
I'm trying to do it, but it's not working John,
And I'm.

Speaker 6 (03:05:13):
Like, okay, well, Mom, you know the user name is
very case sensitive, so make sure upper lower.

Speaker 3 (03:05:20):
Well how do you do that? What are you talking about?
Upper lower and I'm like, oh my goodness. So now
I'm like, Mama, putting you.

Speaker 6 (03:05:26):
On speaker because I won't tear you to hear this,
because this is pure entertainment. Sure, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:05:31):
And so she's like, well, okay, I'm punching in the
user name. Okay, I've got that. I've got that, and
it's all lower case, mom, Yes, okay. And what's the password? Yes,
ma'am the paper, I know the password. Don't talk to me,
John Calvin's talking, you know. Okay.

Speaker 6 (03:05:46):
So what's gonna happen is whenever you sign in, it's
gonna send Dad a code for verification, and then you're
gonna type that code in the box. So I type
it on his phone or my phone. Now your phone,
you're gonna type it on your phone. It's gonna send
him a code. I shouldn't have I shouldn't have even
said that. But that's what's gonna happen. Okay, Well I've
done it. Okay, Now it's saying it's right.

Speaker 3 (03:06:07):
Okay. Now I want to know how I want to
send a code? Do I want to text it? Her?
Hit text? It's gonna say if you want to text
it or email it? Hit text. It's gonna hit text phone.
So is it coming to my phone or is going
to Dad's phone? Well, I can't see it.

Speaker 6 (03:06:19):
I know Dad, and we're on your phone. I got that,
But what when it comes Just hand mom your phone
and Mom, you type in the code that you see
on dad's phone. Okay, all right, well so here, Hey,
I got a notification, got the code, I got the Okay,
hand and Dad, Now hand me.

Speaker 3 (03:06:36):
I'll keep talking. Hand me han you mom, hand your mom?
Hand mom?

Speaker 6 (03:06:40):
The phone gone hung up on me. And I'm like, okay, Well,
maybe she's got the phone and she's typing it in.
That's what I'm thinking. Phone rings thirty seconds later.

Speaker 3 (03:06:51):
It won't work, John, I don't know what.

Speaker 6 (03:06:53):
Hey son, we're back here. Moms can't get the code
to work. It's saying it's sending another Oh John, you know, okay,
I just got it. No, hand mom the phone, Dad,
and then she'll type it in. That goes back and
forth three or four different times. We we're finally I'm
dying laughing and I'm like, hey Dad. At one point

(03:07:14):
I said, Dad, hush it. I hate to say that.
You gotta be quiet. It's agitating Mom. Your interrupt Mom,
you listen to my voice.

Speaker 3 (03:07:22):
Do you have the code?

Speaker 6 (03:07:23):
Yes, it's seven to one, you know, she starts. Okay,
type that in to yours. You should be able to
look at his phone.

Speaker 1 (03:07:29):
We're in.

Speaker 3 (03:07:31):
We're in.

Speaker 5 (03:07:32):
Oh my, y'all, we're in.

Speaker 3 (03:07:34):
I'm like, well, Dad, Mom, y'all did it?

Speaker 9 (03:07:36):
We did it.

Speaker 3 (03:07:37):
We accomplished something today.

Speaker 6 (03:07:39):
Now we can use my phone to the twenty third
and it says that we can anymore. Right, Dad, you
can do that, or you can start using Mom's phone.

Speaker 3 (03:07:48):
It's the same app. It's the same information, but we'll
probably just use mine until then and we'll move over
to hers. Find Dad. Whatever you want to do, we.

Speaker 5 (03:07:55):
Can use mine.

Speaker 3 (03:07:55):
John, it's the same thing.

Speaker 6 (03:07:58):
Oh my gracious, that was thirty minutes of my life yesterday.

Speaker 1 (03:08:01):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, No. The most Dangerous
ten minutes in review. Unscreened phone calls. Get in no
by dialing one eight eight eight six, Big Fox.

Speaker 4 (03:08:23):
All right, America, here we go. Unscreen phone calls. All
ten lines are available.

Speaker 3 (03:08:28):
If you've been listening, i.

Speaker 4 (03:08:29):
Mean watching, we've covered a lot so much as we
do every day, five big hours, and we try to
cover it all top to bottom and hopefully you are
somewhat informed that we always cover every little thing that's
out there.

Speaker 3 (03:08:47):
No, basically things were interested in.

Speaker 4 (03:08:50):
All right, So here we go, all ten lines available,
and if it's ringing, that means that you're in.

Speaker 3 (03:08:57):
Line, ready to go.

Speaker 4 (03:08:59):
We'll actually screen these on the fly from Taxtonation after
Speedy's story. I am literally living this with my parents
right now, and you know that we have been as well,
and aging parents. I know a lot of you may
not agree with this, but I'm starting to get sold

(03:09:19):
on it more and more. Maybe a tougher challenge than
raising small kids.

Speaker 3 (03:09:25):
Yeah. So it just came off of where they celebrate
their sixty second at wedding an America sixty and they
there's something else.

Speaker 6 (03:09:33):
But buddy, let me tell you something. It gets to technology.

Speaker 4 (03:09:36):
No watch out here we go, watch out rick birders
show unscreen phone calls your own go ahead.

Speaker 11 (03:09:43):
Monk solving problem. Five gallon bucket, half full of water,
bird seed at the top, a little wood board leading
up to a bird seed, sprinkle on it. Just clean
it out every now and then because they get soldiers.

Speaker 3 (03:09:55):
Woo okay, who at trap?

Speaker 4 (03:09:58):
I saw something? Sure you saw something too? Where you
can drop little gas bombs into their holes. But I
thought that'll be one of those things. RFK Junior come
and didn't take that away or something. It looked like
it could be problems. Uh we continue, Rick Burgess show
unscreen phone calls.

Speaker 20 (03:10:12):
Go ahead, Yeah, this is John. I'm in Huntsville. So
the y'all were talking about the new Apple stuff. Yeah,
I kind of looked checked it out, looked at it.
The air pods actually do translations live, so you can
have them in go to another country and it will

Speaker 4 (03:10:50):
Okay, but don't you think it'd be better if we
learn the language better for our minds, better for our health.
That's like everything has to be done for us. Now
we're not We're not in our minds anymore.

Speaker 3 (03:11:01):
I do it wants to do that.

Speaker 6 (03:11:03):

right than learn directions.

Speaker 2 (03:11:07):
Yeah yeah, but then you used to.

Speaker 3 (03:11:10):

Rick and Bubbashell with hands from control station. I wonder
if you ever hear from him and what he's doing
and you consider bringing him back.

Speaker 4 (03:12:48):
Who I couldn't understand you Chance, Chance Chance. Okay, now
you know the Chance style, the Chance break up didn't
go well.

Speaker 3 (03:12:58):
Yeah, and that that company we're no longer affiliated with. Yeah,
Chance got weird. I never could figure that one out.
And that was still baffling.

Speaker 4 (03:13:07):
Chance thing was strange our her relationship with that TV bunch.
And remember they said, we're not we're not dropping, but
we were coming to get our lives.

Speaker 3 (03:13:15):
We're going to bring them back. Remember that.

Speaker 4 (03:13:16):
Oh yeah, yeah, I'm sure you know how sometimes those
lights somebody does something and they may even have the
right to do it like that and you're not bothered
by what they're doing to you, as bad as you're
bothered at how stupid they must think you are.

Speaker 5 (03:13:28):
Yeah, you know, but the chance, remember I don't know.

Speaker 6 (03:13:33):
It didn't end well. And it's almost like he just
he wouldn't talk. He wouldn't talk to him, He wouldn't,
he wouldn't like.

Speaker 3 (03:13:40):
Correspond, almost acted like he was agitated by something. And
there was rumored that the bunch that came and got
the lights that he was one of them. He was
one of them. Yeah, he was one of them.

Speaker 5 (03:13:50):

he playing a care No, that was his real personality?
It was maybe that was it?

Speaker 4 (03:13:58):
Maybe did he somebody wasn't. There's something else too about
the way we saw the world. He didn't care for.

Speaker 5 (03:14:04):
Amongst he was playing.

Speaker 4 (03:14:07):
When I say character, he was playing like some of
the things I'm stay at home and doing. He was
just obviously he was.

Speaker 3 (03:14:13):
It didn't work. He's not there.

Speaker 4 (03:14:14):
He wouldn't like we can't, we can't real you know
how there's a relationships. You think we could go back,
it's it. Maybe we could build it back. I don't
think we can build that one back. Yeah, too broken.

Speaker 5 (03:14:23):
He didn't want to be all his friend.

Speaker 2 (03:14:24):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (03:14:25):
Weird, We didn't. We didn't break it though. It was weird.
It's like it was one sided break. It's he was
great into and something. But Greg just really got to it.

Speaker 4 (03:14:33):
Well that one comment you made, Yeah, yeah, I know
a fake when I say one and there it is there,

Speaker 3 (03:14:40):

leg on that stoopid it's gone now. I'm just saying

character without permission. How funny that we're in there going
I wonder what it was. I wonder what made him
go on? What is it about us? It seems to

(03:15:01):
annoying people and turning them off like crazy?

Speaker 15 (03:15:04):
