Speaker 2 (01:36):
What's up? Joey and Mississippi driving in soft drinks. Let's
go for America, says we're ready and look look at
this person on text Nation. Is the RBS gang ready
to go? Yes we are. There's Speedy, there's Greg, there's that.

(01:57):
Everybody ready to go for another one. I will say this,
I have great respect for all three of you, great respect.
I know us all, I know us all to have
made the claim that we've been redeemed by the one
and only Lord and Savior of Jesus Christ. However, as

(02:20):
we were getting down to day two of the rapture
and I was still here, my grandmother has gone on
to glory because at one time, anytime, but anytime someone
would predict the rapture, we would just simply call her
and if she answered, the rapture had not happened. Right.

(02:40):
I did call other people, and I just I mean, look,
I love y'all, and I think we're all going to
spend eternity in heaven. But there were some other people
on my list that I thought, if they're still here,
the rapture has not happened.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
But also, you can't get on me because none of
y'all called me either. Mm hmm. Okay, so let's just
admit that we called other people, okay, and maybe that
means we got some work to do.

Speaker 7 (03:08):
Yeah, okay, maybe we need to do better. I was
concerned at first. I'll be honest with you. We have
a little routine recent we talked. We tried to every morning.
When I called him today and he didn't answer, and
I was like, oh no, oh no. Then I called
my dad and he did so I'm like, Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
That's good. Yeah, we're good. I think we're good. Your
dad would be somebody on my list I would call.

Speaker 8 (03:30):
I was still here, so I knew it hadn't happened.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
That's good. If I would have been you and maybe
just a little bit taller, I would have run the streets,
go and repent. The Kingdom of God is at hand.

Speaker 8 (03:40):
Yeah, giving people bread and fish.

Speaker 7 (03:42):
But so I mean, like, what does that South African
pastor do now? I mean, like, what what's his message today?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah? I will say what I want to know, and
he's thrown on the heap of others who have done
the same thing. Yeah. And there's actually someone in the
in the hay Birds today that has a pretty profound
question about this, and we're well, let's say here or
she I can't remem if it's a woman or a
man wants us to say, what what's their angle? Yeah,
I mean, so, I mean if if I mean, we'll

(04:13):
read it. But because they even they even put in
even if it does happen, I mean, it's I don't.

Speaker 7 (04:20):
They want to be sharp and they feel like they got.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
And followers. And now there's a lot of you believe
there's a lot of you. I had things you need
to deal with, and you've put it off to today,
so you're going to go on with it. And that
purchase you made real So yeah, you know, I kept thinking,
who cares if the pergolas sucked us drive financially? But
now I've got to find a way. But dang it,

(04:44):
but we Yeah, it's I don't understand. Go ahead and
get that old change. Yeah, I don't. I don't know
that these people and why they continue to do this,
I really don't. So got a really interesting email to
from some one that went to is it Gronk Grock?
Is it Groc or Gronk? There's no in it Rock? Yeah,

(05:08):
and this is another creepy demonic AI thing for X. Yeah,
and it's like chat GPT for X. It's X is
yeah one of them.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
You'll see everybody go hey at Grock, is this true
or whatever?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
And so the person went to Groc and asked groc
uh spiritual questions and it's too much. I mean, they
tried their best to cut and paste and make it palatable,
but it's it's it's overwhelming. But there's one little segment
in there where they asked Grock kind of Paul, remember

(05:45):
Paul Harvey, the world famous If I were the devil,
They they asked Groc that question, if you were the devil,
what would your strategy be? And and Grock and Grock
cranked it out for him. Oh yeah, interesting. So and
how about Groc basically acknowledged that the only religious belief

(06:10):
that has any power in any standing is Christianity. And
and Groc even goes here, here's all the evidence of
the resurrection and everything. I mean, he's pulling out Josephus
and the reporters of the day and and all of that.
So interesting.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
Uh so if you're just totally out of the loop
and you're like, guys, I don't know what you're talking about.
The South African pastor said that he had a vision
from from God that told him the twenty third or
twenty fourth of September.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
He wasn't sure Jesus. I think he said, Jesus said.

Speaker 7 (06:40):
God, okay, and had had a vision and and and
and he he came out publicly and said this is
this will be the rapture.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
You know, he threw that can coming twenty third or
twenty fourth. I guess Jesus wasn't clear, but somewhere I
thought he would be.

Speaker 7 (06:56):
Yeah, yeah, so uh and if you're listening and it's
not an archive and it's like the twenty fifth, so
that's why we're talking about, Hey, we're here.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
But let me tell you what's interesting is I don't
even know if you should ever put these two things together. Rick,
thanks a lot you, Mojo the rapture. But the person says, now,
I got to pay my credit card that gum it,
so I should have ran that up. But I know,
I tell you how I knew the rapture wasn't taking

(07:26):
place on the twenty third or twenty fourth, because Jesus said,
no man, no human will ever know the exact day.
And I think that's the end of it. I do too.
How do they get around that, these predictors? Right, how
can I sit in the congregation of some shepherd up
there telling me something that's in conflict with the veryous

(07:47):
scriptures he's supposed to be teaching me. I'm not going
to listen to that. I would not even get rock.
So what does he do, honestly, what does he do Sunday?

Speaker 9 (07:56):
Here?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
He comes back Sunday? Right, that's all mean like I said,
I looked at the years next year calendar. Yeah I
was wrong. Does he become some like football coach after
a loss? I mean to see, God, guys, though we
had a great strategy. I loved our game plan. Uh
we didn't execute. Is that what it is? Uh? If
we had just executed? Uh? Here, we got to get

(08:18):
better this week so we can my next prediction will
be right. I mean, what does he do? But yeah? Yeah,
but or is he like the the global warming people
just pretend that you didn't predict it and just keep
spearing you going, yeah, you know that we're supposed to
have already happened in that group, and then they just
keep pumping it out. Well, Greg, you have been you know,

(08:41):
I know you're not alone, but you have been our
expert on just the never ending study of the sheep
oh uh, and the sheeple seem to be gullible enough
to go for anything. That's the reason why the things
in the Revelation about anti Christ and how he will

(09:02):
basically fool so many that didn't even at one time
I thought he was gonna have to be like super
clever to fool people and and into blindly following his
idiotic presentation. It's I don't think he has to be
all that clever now, I mean, I don't think it's
going to be that difficult to get the sheep will
to do anything. Look at the Apple story. Oh yeah,

(09:23):
I phone knew that was coming. I knew that. I
went to zombies.

Speaker 8 (09:28):
Out there waiting, Brother Joshua.

Speaker 10 (09:30):
He was booked on a lot of podcasts before this. Uh,
he might have to go on like an.

Speaker 8 (09:35):
Apology tour after.

Speaker 7 (09:36):
Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of unfollowed clicks today.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
I think I'm telling you this guy will bounce back somehow.
It'll be It'll be I'm telling you it'll be.

Speaker 7 (09:46):
Yeah, But or I had another vision that I'm Misread's
all right, we'll be ready.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the hardest working men
in the business, The Rick Bridges Show.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Do you're never at work us? We're always here, ready
to go, ready to go, and we thank you for
being with us today. Pretty good one off taxt Nation.
Let's see how he could frame this. Okay, all right,
so text Nation says the pastor will tell the church
on Sunday that they didn't make it and and now

(10:36):
there needs to be revival in the church. I think
you'll have a hard time because there'll be too many
people in the world still here. But he could take
that theme and say, the reason why the church wasn't
raptured is because Jesus is not pleased with our lack
of commitment to be holy and to be evangelizing the world,

(11:00):
and we this needs to be a call for revival.
You his pr guy. Now, I guess I am I've
I've got to take I mean, I guess I've taken
him on. I don't know why he's my client now,
but find myself trying to help him. Uh but anyway,
I promise you, like Greg said, he'll find some way
to land on his feet. Oh yeah, of course. Somebody

(11:26):
bringing up the fact that there was a time and
you see it in scripture where if you were a
false prophet, they would take you out and stone you.
But anyway, so by the way that gets you just
stopped doing this kind stuff.

Speaker 8 (11:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (11:37):
He was live streaming on his YouTube page when the
moment came out. It went yes serious, Yes, I'm trying
to find it.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
He went that far with it.

Speaker 10 (11:49):
It was a now deleted YouTube live stream during the
during the time he thought it would happen.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Are you making this out?

Speaker 8 (11:57):
No? No, No, it's just I'm just reading an article here.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
He went that far with it.

Speaker 10 (12:02):
They got to midnight, and in the hour before midnight,
he said he was still hopeful and waiting to be wrapped.
But once the day ended, he said he was still watching.
And like I said, they deleted that live stream, probably embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
So did you call him pastor Joshua?

Speaker 8 (12:17):
Yeah, Joshua, Joshua MICHAELA. It looks like MICHAELA, but it's
like a bunch of others.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
And he's in South Africa.

Speaker 8 (12:27):
La, kayla la. I'm just guessing here.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Folks, Okay, is there any you would be the closest
thing we would have Speedy? Is there? Was there anybody
of the four of us that right in there? Just
a little bit? You almost can't feel sorry for him?

Speaker 7 (12:45):
I think you Rick, You know who I feel sorry
sorry for.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
I'm sorry, right.

Speaker 8 (12:58):
Greg, he's a pastor, he's a false pastor.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
But because he got that collar on, he just feel
sorry for agree. I didn't ask you to. I knew
there was no hope for that. I said, of the
four of us, Speedy is our best shot. You just
jumped in. I just asked him if he thank you
for I tell you what you just proved me to be.

(13:21):
I am a prophet. Yeah, yeah, you know where you're
staying right, No compassion? Thank you, Greg. Somebody go get
Greg's grand kids quickly on Lacey's birthday. Oh that's right,
thank you.

Speaker 10 (13:39):
Yeah, I found I think this is the stream in
which he's talking about, but it's it's kind of there's
this there's a bunch of music underneath.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Who thought this guy?

Speaker 10 (13:50):
And he's he's sitting here talking, but then there's two
two ladies on sitting on the couch next to him,
and you can tell that one of them is buying
what he's saying and one of us not.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
What I see. The one that's not she's not, like,
that's who I feel sorry for right there.

Speaker 8 (14:16):
She's like, yeah, you're right, you're right.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
This was like, y'all didn't drug us down here in
the middle of the Who's who's there? Who's their boardop?
Why does music?

Speaker 8 (14:26):
So if I drown down what you're playing?

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Good night mine yours? Ohrs? Okay, what tell you what else?
These two women have proved, have proven the woman's gonna
put her makeup on to meet Jesus, and that's unnecessary.

(14:54):
I don't know that you got a glorified body. He's
off on the roade.

Speaker 8 (14:58):
Hey, I said, you don't need it.

Speaker 10 (15:00):
I see this guy's angle, and frankly I respect it.
Clearly she was talked into some stuff because you thought
the world was ending.

Speaker 11 (15:10):
Yeah, that's exactly what that That's exactly what you say.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
How did I fall from? You may not have been real?
How about this? I think we've gotten to the bottom
of it. This is nothing but some player. He doesn't
believe any of this. Obviously tricycle.

Speaker 10 (15:29):
So she is so not having it at all.

Speaker 12 (15:34):
Man.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
Yeah, maybe they said, I'll tell you what, We'll run
the music so hot. They really can't understand what you're saying.
And there's your passion.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
You couldn't understand what was you always wonder if the
Holy Spirit didn't intervene some my turn music. Nobody listened
to fool You know you can't mean you just way
too loud.

Speaker 8 (15:55):
Way wait. The level of music is very important.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I on a note that did have a lot of
people though, wondering what was going on. Star Trek Legend
William Shatner No. Ninety four years old, rushed to the hospital. Yeah, sad,
ninety four.

Speaker 10 (16:11):
By the way, I'm so glad I forgot this rapture
story because my power went totally went out at one
one o'clock.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Oh boy, jet storm last Yeah, the storm hurt kicked on.
At least you had to generate.

Speaker 8 (16:24):
Yeah, yeah, it was really all right.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
You're glad you forgot the rapture. That's funny. Yes, that
would have got you it. Uh so William Shatner, it
has been hospitalized for a medical emergency involving his blood sugar. Ooh,
he's ninety four, So I mean they sure got a
little bit low. Hunh. Again, I'm not trying to be insensitive,

(16:47):
but William Shatner made it. He's ninety four, ninety four, okay,
and he's pretty He's been pretty savvy all the way
up to night. He's kept up somewhat of a career,
you know. So so anyway, there, we don't know any
more other than he was carried to the hospital. It says,
I didn't realize this. Did you know that he he

(17:10):
once had stage four melanoma? Oh did you know that?
So through it they're going through his medical history. But
he overcame that, so they're not so blood sugar was
the reason for the ambul that's what this says. In
ninety five, that was also part of the reason. Yeah,
but he in twenty sixteen, he also received a prostate

(17:33):
cancer diagnosis. Was a false alarm. Oh, he said that
was scary. I was told that by the doctor I
had a terminal disease then that I was going to die.
So not only did he telling me had prostate cancer,
they said they didn't catch it in time and all
that turned out out to be true. And he's in
his nineties. Yes, they said that. They said that doctor
went on to become a pastor in South Africa. They

(17:58):
haven't heard from him since. So what about when you
go home and when you go home and tell everybody
you're dying and also the guys, Ah, that's on me.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
I misread then, that's only Yeah, so I had that.
I had that happen, but it was on one of
my vehicles. I was getting it serviced at at one
of the dealerships and they came out and said, hey,
we got a problem your old pans. I mean they
were like winning this whole long thing a little different. Yeah, right,
that's what I said, I said, and I said that,

(18:31):
and uh, we're going through how I can leave the
truck there. And then she came back five minutes like, oh,
I'm sorry, that was the wrong ticket.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
That's that gentleman over there.

Speaker 7 (18:38):
And she turned to the guy that was watching watching it, sir,
this is your truck.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

(21:18):
so we were we were talking about how we love
to play games with Speedy's second handing bearers, y'all. I mean,
we want to care about We love it. I want
to see him watch the voice, yes around. I wanted
to see in the family back air begging from the
pick one of those heart wrenching set up stories. Oh yeah,
and you're and you're certain somebody's gonna turn the chair

(21:39):
and they've got parents with him or a while, are
you pulling for him? Even kids over and Carson daily
stands by him and and he's and Carson will come
on somebody and they'll be like, come on, somebody turn
and yeah, and I like that something else. Sometimes I
just think I wish Speedy was here with me. This
would be a differ an experience. And then you said, Greg,

(22:01):
you found another found another one. What she got? Well,
you know the Golden Bachelor's back spoilers when they stand out,
no spoilers when it starts. He stands out front of
the house and the limo pulls up and they get
out and they always try to do something like this
themed about who they are. It was, Oh, it was terrible,

(22:24):
Greg like what do they do? Like one argument? Perfect?
You gonna love this one lady in her past she's
retired now. She was worked for a Las Vegas police
department and was a bomb. You put them bomb suit
on bombs. She gets out in the bombs and put
her bombs going stay back, stay back, and then this
little killer and then one came up through a baseball

(22:45):
She somehow works for Freddie Freeman or something. They try
to do something cute or just any There was not
one that went can I throw this at you? Gave
every one of them all. She was in the suit
and she told she's going to stay back. She take
the head off, yeah, like a mask, like a mascot,
gone here, I am yeah. And then should the bomb

(23:06):
go walking like it was supposed to. Actually didn't do right.
They was supposed to do some type of little It
didn't even work. There was just smoke came out. They
tried it like three times, three times in that full suit,
and and that's I mean, every single one of them
had some stand back one more time stand back, stand back.
It's like she's got her bomb soon on and then
and and again. Everybody's old. And so he kind of

(23:28):
got in the handle because he did a podcast about
being the Bachelor coming on, and somebody asked him about
what age you and what he said. He was basically saying, well,
if you're over sixty, oh really, But then he had
to back up on that because every one of them
are over sixty. Yeah, and he's over and he had
to apologize to all of them. All right, so oh yeah,
he's can I ask this at sixty six? Toler say yesterday?

(23:48):
Is that what he said? Played for the Rams, played
for Michigan Wolverines, played a little ball right, let me
I remember the name the mask your question? When she
all of them were unless far the worst that your
bachelor and bachelorette have basically dealt with young people until
they started this Golden Bachelor, which I think God's very
sad about. Okay, does the fact that their older ladies

(24:13):
make what you just described even not really because I've
seen the other two all theriag is bad? Okay, because
for some reason we've come up. You got to have
some little something, this little skit or something's about your personality.
Oh no, yeah, no, sir, I'm out. Yeah, so you're
not doing it? Watch it? Why would I do that? Why?
One lady was in her seventies. I said, you've got

(24:34):
no chance.

Speaker 7 (24:35):
Okay, But he's crawfishing a little bit on it. On
this it's like drinking something that tastes bad. Why would
you keep doing.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
I want to watch this with you? What about the
mouth aulter theory? No, you just wanted you just I
don't say. I don't get that. I don't see how
you watch something you just like make you uncomfortable. I
watched it and then I went to bad because Lisa
was watching it. You know, well, always blame it on that,
But I didn't see one interaction in that little segment
that wasn't awkward. They were different levels of awkward, but

(25:03):
there was not one that you went, ah, that's funny,
that's smooth. Okay. I nothing was smooth and nothing the
entire time. You would have been just in a nott
the entire time. So I want to ask you something
then on this note, okay, because the fact that I'm
you know, being a bachelor all week and I'm I'm
involved with all kinds of work stuff. I'm basically working easy.

(25:25):
I'm basically working all day and go home and like
turn the TV on from it and fall asleep. Yeah, okay,
that's been my day every day this week. Okay, short week.
So so so I realize that that I never know
what's on TV. But because of this weird schedule that
I'm on right now, this is just something I do.
I kid myself that I'm gonna be able to stay
up a little bit longer and at least have some time.

(25:46):
A sudden you're on the couch and you're going what happened?
But but but so I know the choices last night
because I kicked around and I can remember them right now. Okay,
even though I didn't watch any of it because I couldn't.
I couldn't stay with it. You mean to tell me
at your house, because I know you're gonna say it's
least his fault, it's her birthday, because that was on
my way to that. Okay, you had you had a
chance to watch America's Got Talent the final? That was

(26:09):
too I know I couldn't stay with that. That's to
get that out of there. Okay, Well that was only seven.
I guess a recap from last night. It was gonna
be like two hours, right, Okay, so you knew that
wouldn't Survivor. I haven't watched Survivor since the first one. Okay.
Then there was some some kind of gameshow called the Floor.
I don't know what that is now. I don't even

(26:29):
know what that is. Was there any of the now,
there wasn't any of the voice wasn't known last night
because that they did for City also needs to watch that. Yeah,
and I think that I think it's possible that it's
Dancing with the Stars on it is I don't know
if it's on last night?

Speaker 13 (26:42):
Was it?

Speaker 2 (26:43):
I don't know what that? Yeah, I think it was.
There's no way you can watch that either, because then
you're gonna have some people that have have this professional
dancer and they can't dance and they're having to deal
with them. Yeah, you don't need to. And then they
stand there and lot people giving them fives and stuff
like that. Yeah three yeah what three?

Speaker 5 (26:58):
So?

Speaker 2 (26:59):
And then so the gold Golden Bachelor won. That's that's
what Leeley wanted to watch more than Yeah. Yeah, yeah,
you know what I watched. You know what I did
watch and loved every second of it and had forgotten
all the details. You know, it was so great. I
watched sixty this is what I did, watch The Many
Lives of Lane Kiffin, and it went, it went, It

(27:21):
went through his whole career, and you would forget. We
all forgot about the Raiders and how weird Al Davis
acting when he fired him, like on a just ay
put together like a video all of a sudden, now
Davis does a press conference and starts doing the video
about Lane Kiffin and why he fired him. First, why
didn't you hire me? He was like way too young
because of his daddy, I love money, and and then

(27:44):
and then that what he did to Tennessee, and I
forgot he caused a riot on the campus because you remember,
he just decided he wanted a USC job and took it.
And then how he got fired from USC, saving gets
him back Florida Atlantic. Remember all that. Now told me,
I look what a great special that was. And I
love the title The Many Lives of Lane Kiffin and

(28:06):
watching Lane having because he's a character he oh yeah,
and answering some of the questions about what he was
thinking and why he did it and stuff. And you
know he's he's a little bit socially awkward anyway, you know,
in a fun way, you know not and it's very interesting. Well,
i'll tell you this. I got off.

Speaker 7 (28:23):
I got off in a Lane portal yesterday. You know,
these phones are always listening, and we talked about him
his daughter as dating the linebacker from LSU. So then
on my popular page, the will a real pop Real
pops up and it's Lane and his daughter talking. I
get lost in that. They're funny. And because his daughter
calls him her wallet, because she just drains him of

(28:47):
all of his money, which I know he's got more
money than you know what I'm saying, Wallet. You're playing
Arkansas today. It was game day when they were playing Arkansas.
I remember funny stuff.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
You remember I told you that thing about she basically
the reason that he stated omens. Yeah, that's in the
sixty I didn't realize I saw it on the reel,
but it was sixty this. It was pulled from that
documentary because I saw it again last night. I went
through it again. Adler, you had something.

Speaker 8 (29:10):
No, it was a Golden Bachelor. I was circling back
to Golden Sorry.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
I forgot that's your show. I thought I got off
of it because I didn't want gread to give you
any spoilers.

Speaker 10 (29:18):
Well, I I was just going to remind you that
your buddy Jesse Palmer's part of it is.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
He really remember what happened to the guy that was
the original host? How stupid when he got cast? Oh yeah,
back when we were canceling paid four time. I mean,
Jimmy Kimbl's back and Jimmy Kimble's back on there. He's
not no, yeah right, and he did nothing, nothing, nothing.

Speaker 10 (29:37):
Jesse Palmer is gonna mention because mel Owens Rick you
may be in on this show now because he's got
messed up feet and he wears old man's shoes to
help with his feet.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
That hurt. I know what he's going through.

Speaker 8 (29:48):
Yes'm I'm right there with him too.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
That was a pretty good baby before we start. That's
a big one. What's up with the shoes? Oh good?
What's up with the shoe?

Speaker 14 (29:57):
I mean they look comfortable. Look, my feet are big anyway,
and they're wide. So these are your dogs you stand on? Yeah,
all jokes aside. I'm really excited, thank you. I know
this has been a long time coming.

Speaker 9 (30:10):
Hearing it.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
There you go ahead, made it.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Jesse Palmer made fun of his she.

Speaker 8 (30:13):
Did he's wearing.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
He went right to it.

Speaker 10 (30:16):
You get to an age where comfort is more important
than the hundred and I'm there.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
You're there too early. You're there way too early?

Speaker 8 (30:23):
Is it we would care?

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Was it more like a black sketcher's type slip on shoe?
I find myself how I was always talking about. I
think I'd like to have some of those look pretty comfortable.

Speaker 8 (30:33):
Yeah, they do. I want to know what brand they are.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
I just realized I never go during prime time. One
of the reasons why I never seen it. I never
go to the major networks at all. It's not event
in my mind unless there's a sporting event, which.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
We could show the girls in the bomb suit. Just
to watch feet.

Speaker 8 (30:49):
I looked for it, Rag.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
I'm sorry, but I just to watch what you saying
back up.

Speaker 10 (30:53):
It's better than some of the skippy some of the
skippy outfits these grandma's are wearing.

Speaker 8 (31:00):
You watched it now, I'm gonna watch.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, A voice of reason

(31:25):
in an unreasonable world. The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Thank you guys for being with us today. America, America, America.
We're ready to go, and we're taught with you today.
We've got some hay Bird a Birds coming up. We've
got a lot of stories still to cover. Adler, Greg
Speedy and yours truly off here. So just a little

(31:50):
bit of commentary that and some of you've seen it,
you know this, But I'm trying to think of the
things in the E sixty and I don't know how
long this has been out. I may be late to
the game on the lives of Lane Kiffin, but this
sixty is is very, very interesting because you forgot some
of the drama and just the way that Lane Kiffen

(32:11):
has lived in it and good News is currently living is.
But one of the things that that that I thought,
you know, you know, because I always you always look
to really really successful people and you try to go
I think it was I've heard many people say this.
My pastor has said this, I've heard Andy Andrews say this.
That really one of the great ways to spend time

(32:34):
if you're going to do some reading is to go
read bios on people who have had impact or been
you know, either successfully impactful success in whatever they're doing.
What are things that they all do. I remember what's
his name wrote the book? Was it Seven Things All
Successful People Do? I can't remember all that. Rick. I
don't think that was the title, buddy, but it was

(32:54):
somebody over Rick wants you to get you a point.
But so Nick.

Speaker 8 (32:58):
Seven seven habits of highly effective people.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Okay, that wasn't bad. That wasn't bad to understand to be.
But to the point is, most people that are radically successful. Now,
remember some people are radically successful at the cost of
their families. I'm not talking about that, but but radically

(33:23):
successful people, most of the time, everything they do there's
a reason. They're not out of control. They have a
reason for it. I remember understanding that our dad Greg
did some things that I thought were like off the cuff,
like he and you realize, no, no, he planning that.
There was a reason he was doing that. There was

(33:44):
a reason he said that that kind of stuff. So
Kiffen was talking about when you know, his career was
in trouble, and basically Saban said, we're transitioning out of
the more pro running style of offense to to kind
of app to what's happening in football, and Lane Kiffen
could be some eyes on this, and he says, on

(34:05):
you can watch some of our practices. And Kiffin's like,
I can't believe I'm getting a call. Does he not know?
I just got fired, you know. So he gets there
and he ends up, as we know, becoming the offensive coordinator.
He said, but I didn't get he said. I would
have appreciated and it was joking if Saban had set
me down and said, now here's how I do things.
He didn't really do that. He just threw me into

(34:26):
it as offensive coordinator and I had to figure him
out without any I do this, I do this. Here's
why I do that, he said. He said, So he
exploded on me like big time. I mean, he ate up.
They wouldn't anything left. I'd get a new pair of
pants kind of things. What Gary would say, Hey, I
had to get a new pair of bit he's in

(34:47):
and eat the high and end out of these huh
so And he said that. He kind of went to
him and said, hey man, you know, if we want
to have a discussion, he said, you really jumped me.
You went from zero to wide up and he there's no, no, no,
let me explain why I do that. He said, what
I try to do. When something's doing something is being
done wrong, I want to eradicate it from from from

(35:10):
our lives. I want to attack it. I want to
destroy it, and I want to be done with it.
So I don't harbor things. I don't wait, I don't
let things build. I jump right in and go that
can't happen, and I want to be done with it.
And then I just go back to now interacting with you,
and then we move on. I don't harbor it, I
don't hang it over your head. I kill it and

(35:31):
I move on. That's why I do that. And then
Lane said, okay, I understand it now, you know. He said,
I want I want that to for everybody to understand
that better not happen again. And he goes, and so
I go and kill it. And he said, that's how
that's how I operate. And so anyway, the good news
is when you get towards the I don't want to,

(35:51):
you know, give away everything. Of course I have a
reditation for doing that. You basically given us the whole thing.
You see that, Lane Kiffin. I'll just say this, Lane Kiffin,
and I hope it stays this way. And I don't
know the current state of lin kiffing or anything. But
based on this, he had to evaluate his own life.
That he was he really thought the goal in life

(36:12):
was to have a statue of himself somewhere because he
was so radically successful as a football coach, you know,
the youngest coach to ever win this many championships, and
that those were his goals. And he realized when he
when he lost his marriage, uh and was you know,
not not spending much time with his kids, us drink,
was drinking too much, that he was basically destroying his

(36:36):
life by by having all this out of whack. And
if you don't have the and he's made some major
adjustments in his life and and you know, stopped drinking,
has a great relationship with his kids again, even seems
to have a good relationship with his ex wife as
far as raising the kids. Uh And you know, hopefully
he's got his feet under him. Is a better man

(36:56):
than he was. But but the things he he went
through and the thing gives me about him, this is
when we so awkward. He was like at Tennessee, he goes.
I mean everybody kept telling me, you know, I just
need to go on to USC and do a press conference.
From there. But I thought, well, I don't want to
do that. I want to tennesseee people know how I
think this is a great job. And then the only
reason why I'm doing this because USC was a childhood

(37:17):
dream job. I mean, I love the people of Tennessee.
I thought I needed to, you know, stay and do
the press conference here, you know, in Knoxville. And he goes,
I didn't go well, And the next shot you see
the campus burning. Yeah, but he just looks at you, goes, man,
I didn't go well. He was You ever try to

(37:37):
do what you think is the right thing and it
just it just goes terribly wrong. But but yeah, you don't.
You don't coach one season and leave. No, that really
upsets people. Was it one season? It was quick? Yeah,
it was quick. I know that. So so anyway, and
so thank you very much. People say, Rick, you're actually
a gift to those of us that don't want to

(37:58):
take the time to watch something. You go and tell us.
But I say this, you're welcome.

Speaker 7 (38:03):
My favorite, though, is is you to say you're not
going to give it all the way and then you do.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Yeah, that's not that I don't want to give it away. Bud.
And then since I am you know what I am.
I am to people who don't have time to sit
down and watch something on TV, I am to them,
what what you know? The the crypt notes used to
be for those of us who couldn't read a book.
You know, you would, you would just go get that
little thing. Go here's the highlights. Yeah, here it is
so so that that's to me, I'm I'm just the
nutshell of what you're gonna take away from it anymore.

(38:29):
Uh And and for some people it may encourage them
to see it, but but it was good that to
see it because you know, when you're sitting there, you
can't find anything, but you don't you're not quite ready
for bed yet, you want a little something, and all
of a sudden, bam, you see something good. Now that's
what I want to watch. So that that's what happened.
That that's what happened.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
But speaking of coaching, I didn't. I wasn't drawn to
the golden Bacheler like adlerin Gregg. Yeah, speaking of coaches,
coach Oh. Coach Oh is at the Ryder Cup trying
to fire the crowd up.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
Oh good, a shirt on already, you know he's stan
in USA. Is he shirtless? No?

Speaker 15 (39:06):
No, he was.

Speaker 7 (39:10):
He's out there firing everybody up.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
So it was hilarious. Oh yeah, it's it's sponsor related.
But okay, Greg Sweedy's trying so hard to get us.
I'm just telling you that's coach.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Oh, I was just this is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Well we just talked about darkness, didn't we Uh. And
one of the things that that always eradicates darkness is light.
Blaze TV trying to bring that light, the light of truth,
what's really going on, true journalism, true investigative documentaries, to
try to get to the bottom of what's happening and

(39:50):

you know what? Yeah, go ahead.

Speaker 7 (42:45):
I was just gonna say, you know what happens three
months from today?

Speaker 2 (42:48):
Three months from today some golf tournament. Why it's Christmas?
Can you believe that? No? In three months? The time
is flying. Three months, so.

Speaker 8 (43:00):
Less than one hundred days Christmas, ninety days something.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
Ruby will be waking up. Daddy daddy, what did Santa
bring me?

Speaker 10 (43:12):
By the way, she'll ask them questions like really and
really really really smart.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
So are you surprised by that?

Speaker 8 (43:20):
I am. She gets it from her mom, Like, well,
we knew that.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
You didn't have to tell us that. I'm just saying,
but didn't you marry a very super intelligent woman, So
why would you be surprised by this?

Speaker 8 (43:29):
This was like months ago you thought you might dilute it.

Speaker 10 (43:32):
Ruby just randomly asked me, daddy, why do chimneys have
covers on? And I was like, you know, sometime it
helps with the rain and all that, and then she
follows up birds, birds, rain, Yeah, that kind of stuff.
So how does Santa get down there? Which I thought
it was a great question, I said, ask your mom.
She's a lot smarter me.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
I never thought about that. Magic. Yeah, it's some got
a screen driver at some point with Santa speedy hit
on it. You just have to fall back to Christmas
magic because if you don't, we didn't even have a chance. No, right,
that's exactly right. I never lived in a house with
a chim right, so when I was a kid, so
I really didn't know. I thought to myself, Well, they

(44:12):
said that sliding glass door is not secure if you
don't have a chimney. He just uses the door. We
always said that. Do you remember that. Do you remember
that the sliding glass door became such a easy access
to your home. People would put broom handles in the
bottom of it. Oh yeah, wedget yes, well they lay

(44:33):
there now. Yeah, got locked out.

Speaker 8 (44:37):
Her mom got locked out of the house one time
because the cat moved the broom handle into the little
channel and she just watched it happen.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Oh no, so she locked out.

Speaker 8 (44:46):
She had a way for my dad to get home.

Speaker 10 (44:48):
Really really, I remember being a kid and being like, wow,
so my mom got locked out by the cat.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Today's well, today's the day that another handy man comes over.
Of course he'll probably need my help and we repair
the door that I had to break into my house
because I locked myself out.

Speaker 7 (45:04):
Oh you having to pull in another the real handyman.

Speaker 2 (45:07):
Well, he's just coming in to give me kind of
observe what I've been doing.

Speaker 7 (45:10):
Oh, you're gonna open the door with the screwdriver and
ready to go, right, got my tools ready to go, right,
ready to assist.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
You've got lefty, lefty. Yeah, So I'll be ready to
go yet not now. I kind of ran a ground
on the you know, fixing the wood that had cracked
when I yeah, when seventy five knocked it up. He's
coming on in though, Greg, So you're gonna let him
say when seventy five nights open?

Speaker 16 (45:36):
What?

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Well, I'm glad I was there. He probably went lesser
man couldn't got here. No, right, Oh my goodness. Don't
miss the fact that I got locked out because I
was racing down to the pergola to give the crew
the final check. Don't miss that. That's fun. So you
got to enjoy too frantic? Yeah, right, so yeah, I

(45:58):
went all with double it's a walk. Couldn't get in
and just check. Couldn't get in And so you could
go down there and sit on the pergola, Yeah I could.
And yeah, it's a you know the thing the problem
with things, you know, when you live where we live,
when you have this idea of let's do things outdoors,

(46:19):
there's very small windows, very small windows throughout the year
that outdoors pleasant enough for that. Yeah, that's the key word.
Because even even where we live, it does not get
cold often, but when it does, it's a wet coat
and it's cold. Humidity plays a role in cold and hot.

Speaker 9 (46:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Yeah, we had to run last year. It was really cold.
Arctic blast in a in a in a dry environment bad,
but Arctic blast in a wet environment really bad, really bad,
get get on the bones. So uh so, yeah, there's
few there's a few windows. October can be nice. Uh

(47:00):
you know, yeah, that's probably our a little good time.
That's probably our best foot forward probably, uh you know,
because it's not too cold, not too hot, not a
lot of rain, and hey, do you know what rain
It just came in. Didn't get a lick of it
down here to that farm, I mean down here, I
mean I just I just pulled a fish out of
the pond had a tick on it. So uh so yeah,

(47:23):
we were, uh well, we'll see how that goes. So
I look down there and I think, I know, there's
a lot of great ideas for it. But the days
that you have to cooperate, the days you say let's
gather at the pergola, there are not that many of
them are in our climate. Yeah, it's not that many
to be comfortable. Yeah. So so anyway, but you know,
it got you one.

Speaker 7 (47:42):
Where we lived though today is not supposed to be
as hot.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Yes, this front coming through, cool down. I hope they
could get out and run around a little bit. Do
not a little frisky, you know, the the heat, the
heat of our environment. It's a it's tough on me.
I'm just I just I just umps that that that
that constant. If I move around at all, I'm sweating. Yeah,

(48:06):
and then and then they and then and then the
it'll say, well, let me add to that sweat. Gnats,
mosquito whenever they shall lise, various blow things, stink bugs.

Speaker 7 (48:27):
You know when where I used to live, the gnats
were bad. Yeah, we would always we would always would
always get out with the guys, the boys, and they
would have to throw or do something like that, and
we would get out. And I learned a secret that
the gnats go to the highest highest point. And so
in between catching the ball or throwing it, I take
my hat off and hold it up, and you look

(48:48):
up and the gnats would be up by the hat.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
And off your face. Are you serious?

Speaker 7 (48:51):
Oh yeah, they go to the highest and like you
hold your up or whatever.

Speaker 17 (48:55):
You're standing in your yard, Yeah, like I would, I
would catch it, throw it take my hat off or
hold my glove up, and then they'd stay off of me,
and then I'd catch it and throw it and they'd
be back on me, and I'd take my head off
and hold it up, and the that'd be swarm out.

Speaker 7 (49:10):
You see this little black cloud of gnats at the
highest point. You know it's you were high pointing that
I was. Our dad just totaled riding by.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
Why together arm up?

Speaker 10 (49:21):
Did they just fly in front of y'all his eyes,
like just right in front of your eyes and makes
you go crazy and you like clap in front of
your face like.

Speaker 7 (49:26):
A that's what I do to Yeah, where I had
off and hold it up and you see what happens.

Speaker 2 (49:32):
It won't be on your face. Our dad told us that.
Our dad just told us don zipper pants. Well, that's
great idea, and then you can see clear, don't have
to hold you up.

Speaker 8 (49:41):
Yeah, that's out of your eyes.

Speaker 2 (49:46):
And there we are anyway, three three months from to
day Christmas time. I'm about there.

Speaker 7 (49:53):
Hey, Papa, All I want for Christmas is for you
to walk the song, Papa.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Yeah whatever, when you walk the song that walks on up, please, Papa,
we'll be back more than Rick Burgess Show coming your
way right after this.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, the man who removed

(50:37):
the phrase what's.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
You're no good? From society? Ricks doing my part to
help society. Thanks for being with us today. Here we
go about how about I've already taken my first pack
at a relief factory, already done it, got up, took
my shower. Sorry about that to you, am I and

(51:00):
uh walk walked, walked into the old kitchen, went over
there and said, member, Relief Fact, I get it, going
take a little field of greens ready for the day.
Relief Factor really is wonderful and if you have not
tried it, maybe Pamela out of West Virginia, Pamela, Blue

(51:21):
Ridge Mountains, Shannondo River, West Virginia. All right, so anyway,
Pamela says, I can't take a lot of prescribed medicines
because I get side effects. Well, I've sat next to
Speedy for years. He does as well. I heard you
talking about Relief Factor and I thought i'd get it.

(51:43):
And since I was started taking the product, I can
actually sleep again. Pamela then says, here's why I had
not been able to sleep on my side or my
stomach over the last year because of the pain in
my shoulders radiating down my arms. I'm loving this product.
Please tell more people that if they're skeptical like me,
they need to go ahead and try it. Boy, I

(52:05):
hope this works out for you. It does for most people.
Reliefactor dot com find out everything about this natural approach
to the aches and pains of life. Also find that
link at Rick Burgess show dot com under sponsors. Okay,
how can the CEO of Cracker Barrel survive this? You
remember this debacle? Cracker Barrel's troubles are continuing. They're closing

(52:32):
more than a dozen company on restaurants because there was
so much damage done by the rebrand disaster. Well, Greg, skeptical, Greg,
what a shocker? What do you think it is? Gregory?
I don't know. I mean, people got mad, didn't come back,
They realized they could live without it. That's what you

(52:54):
got to watch. The problem you have anytime you mess
something up and people get mad, they that sometimes they
go away and they just never find their way back
right right, And so it says they will take these
stores and from Florida looks like and so looks like

(53:22):
some other places too. But they said they did try
to save the day and fix the disaster. They have
fifty four locations that will stay open, so that's good.
It says they lost an estimated sixteen point two million
in value over the past year. Wow wow wow. Well also,

(53:45):
I don't know how the decline may have been the reason,
which was a bad call to try to change it,
thought that would help. Obviously it didn't. Well what is
that being the sole cause of it? I don't know
about that. Okay, Well, I think I think there was
a help. I think it's almost like have you ever
seen somebody that you were like trying to talk to

(54:06):
and you're like, now, hey, be careful. The road d're
on right now looks looks like trouble. Corrected right now. Nope.
And they tried to get it worse. Hey, after that,
you really need to correct it. Nope. And what happened
was they started, they started, They did the whole way back,
They did the whole thing with Duck Dynasty. That was
a mistake. They tried to real that back in Then
they started serving alcohol at a place that was kind

(54:29):
of a family. That crosses my mind to order a
beer at Cracker No, and you know that's don't feel right.
I know, I know some people personally said, I didn't.
I didn't like that. That's not that atmosphere I want
to be in. Okay, this is not what I'm going
I want from Cracker Brother. You know what they forgot great,
They forgot to shut their whole and know they're wrong
and make the food good. And then and then, and

(54:50):
then we bring into these people and they keep telling
us that we need to bend a certain pressure in
society and we need to do our part on Pride Month,
and that didn't help, and people kind of let that go.
And then and then you have to look at it.
I think it all accumulated. And that's why the rebrand
you know how somebody, look, we've all seen this, and
don't ever do this. If you're somebody like kind of

(55:11):
annoys your company. Don't give them reasons to fire you.
You know how you are you want to break up
with somebody, and you're like, I'm just waiting on the
right moment, And these things for some people weren't the
breakup moment. And I think the reason why that there
was such an outcry about the rebranding was all these
other things that were before it, it made it more.

Speaker 8 (55:30):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Yeah, I mean y'all, y'all trying to change everything. I
believe if the other things had not been taking place,
you know, and and they just gradually kind of not
modernized it, but just took the same themes which they
tried to settles they were doing and just kind of
you know, changing like you and I. I mean, some
people may not like us for it, of course, you

(55:52):
know they can you know, they ain't between us, but
they're an opportunity. When I ate the changes of the food,
not all this other up, just some of the food
items they came up with. I thought it was better.
I thought that's what no no. I thought their fus
food can get it good and keep it good. I
thought Cracker Barrel's food quality had gone down. Yeah, that's

(56:13):
what needed a little. Last two times I ate there,
it was actually pretty good. Yeah, and so I was, Yeah,
I think that I think people took that rebrand, which
I do think hurts their core audience. They took the
rebrand right or wrong, right, alrong, because nobody ever could
explain that one I would ask them. But they took
the rebrand as another step away from tradition and another

(56:37):
step toward wokeness. Whether it was or not, that's how
it was perceived. And the reason why it was is
because of the other things that had been happening over
the years. It was a perfect storm, and they tried
to come back and say hey, we're sorry, but but
sometimes people don't turn back that quick. I think they're

(56:58):
gonna be fine, yeah, you know, long term, but they
got problems. They got problems, and let's face it, you're
you're also living in a world take wokeness out of it.
You're living in a world in an American society where
even on the right, you've got an administration that is
telling America y'all need to eat healthier. We're an overweight, sick,

(57:22):
dying society compared to the rest of the world. That
don't help either, you know, because people probably if they
want to think about eating healthier, I know you've offered
some healthier choices, but they probably don't think about you.
So you're also trying to play to a game breaker there.
You're talking to a generation bunch of health it's sitting
down for biscuits and cash, browns and gravy and butter

(57:47):
and jelly, we thought that's the way people were supposed
to eat. But you got a younger generation has been
told that stuff's gonna kill you.

Speaker 8 (57:55):
That's why it's not bad for you at all.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
No, but you know what I mean, some bad pr
I do agree with you. I do agree with you.

Speaker 7 (58:02):
That's that's kind of why you got to know who
you are, what you're specialize in, and just that's your thing,
and and stay that way, don't change.

Speaker 8 (58:10):
My brother gotten to me.

Speaker 10 (58:12):
This is the rebrand that they should have done, and
that is I don't know if y'all have seen this,
but instead of cracker Barrel, they should do cracker Daryl,
as in dinebag Darrel from Panto. Oh yeah, I don't
know if y'all have seen that remo. My brother actually
got me that shirt and I gotta find it.

Speaker 8 (58:30):
I gotta yea.

Speaker 2 (58:32):
Daryl crazy inappropriate but funny. That's because there we go.

Speaker 8 (58:40):
My brother got me this shirt and I keep forgetting
to wear it.

Speaker 5 (58:42):
So there.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
Pretty good. That's that's funny. We're coming on back. We
come back. Unscreen phone calls. What yeah, we haven't talked
to America yet. Let's chat. All ten lines are available, comments, questions,
fun whatever. It's America's most dangerous ten minutes. I'll tell

(59:09):
you that radio. We'll do it next.

Speaker 1 (59:13):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. I know the most
dangerous ten minutes in radio. Unscreened phone calls. Get in
no by dialing one eight eight eight six, Big Fox.

Speaker 2 (59:33):
If you want to know how America really feels in
the current state of society, you can't filter it. You
go in there unfiltered and find out. Thus unscreen phone calls.
So here we go, and trust us. You should be
gravely concerned and the lines are filling. If the phones

(59:53):
are ringing, then you're in line and ready to go
text nation just joining us. Hey, we made it to Thursday.
You are correct. We covered that in hour one. Apparently
none of us were raptured on the twenty third or
the twenty fourth. We even watched the grotesquely uncomfortable live
YouTube stream of the pasture that was there with two

(01:00:14):
ladies ready to be raptured, and it was we unpacked
that last home. So get that on the archive if
you missed it. Hello, unscreen phone calls. You're on the
Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 18 (01:00:24):
Go ahead, Yeah, he's the turn course.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
Okay, but we continue unscreen phone calls.

Speaker 18 (01:00:35):
Go ahead, Yes, I love how y'all doing this work.
I hope you're will I'm good on this whole Cracker
bet On Dail. I like your food. But this weekend
I was watching college football and all their commercials had
the new logo.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Yeah, well, I mean, does the new logo affect the food?

Speaker 18 (01:00:59):
No, but it's still showing the wokeness and I'm just
not done with that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
How is the new logo woke?

Speaker 18 (01:01:07):
Well, it's say it don't have the cracker barrel. Man,
it don't have the barrel. They don't have and they
said they were trying to fix this and make everybody happy.

Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
But so really, how's the no man and no barrel woke?

Speaker 18 (01:01:21):
It's just the whole different logo changing stuff that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Okay, uh, I just have never followed that particular narrative.
I understand people don't like change. You might like conphsial
at the barrel. Yeah I don't, but there, yeah, I
think they're like the old one better. Yeah, but I
don't see it. I'm looking. I'm like you, I'm looking
for the woke. Is it on it?

Speaker 7 (01:01:41):
I know a lot of that probably was already produced
and out, and they're trying to pull it back. I
guess it's probably still running. But I know that they
had said they were going to go back to everything.
You know, if it hadn't if your restaurant hadn't been
redecorated and all that, then it would it won't be.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Yeah, but kind of knowing sir, in our world, that's
really expensive to have to reproduce TV commercials, crazy expensive.
So probably they're just going to let those run out,
uh to to Speed's point two. So that's probably why
Rick Burgess show unscreen phone calls.

Speaker 8 (01:02:14):
Go ahead, I got a question for Adler. Do you
like Wendy's sure? H?

Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
No, no, no, I knew that was coming. His phone
broke up. I think God intervened and shut his mouth.
I did. I didn't understand a word he said.

Speaker 8 (01:02:36):
I got it. I did. I got it all.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Why are you grinting?

Speaker 10 (01:02:41):
Greg's not funny, Greg, nothing funny about that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
So he was talking about that, but golly, I missed it.

Speaker 8 (01:02:49):
Incredibly rude, sir, Yeah, incredibly rude.

Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
I dumped it because I think it was Oh you
needed to it was really off? Oh yeah was it?

Speaker 9 (01:02:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
You mean to say it? Well you probably will. Now
we continue Rick Burgers show on screen. Phone calls, go.

Speaker 19 (01:03:06):
Ahead, Hey, good morning guys.

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
This Fanta. Hey, hey buddy, So to give you.

Speaker 19 (01:03:14):
Difinitive answers, you were right Christmas magic on everything involving chimney.
But for doors, this is a very simple answer. We
have a key. I have a key that you'll see
on a lot of the Santa helpers. They will wear
a key because it's pretty much out there that I
have a key that will open any door in the world. However,

(01:03:36):
there is a rule about it, and we have this
agreement with law enforcement all over the world. I can
only use it on Christmas Eve. By the wise, it's
all breaking and entering.

Speaker 7 (01:03:44):
Okay, okay, okay, we has a master key to all
houses with Santa had taken us off speaker. But yeah,
that was Santa, and the call before that it was
I still don't know what that guy said.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Phone calls, go.

Speaker 9 (01:04:02):
Hey, first of all, thanks for everything, yell to I
just somehow, you know, always seems to hit on something
that I need sometime during the day. But going to
Cracker Barrel, I got to turn myself in and I
walk in the door. I'm not fooling myself. I know
exactly what's inside that place by walking into a bar,

(01:04:22):
but no walking into cracker barrel. And I'm going to
start off with biscuits. I'm gonna be full on before
I get my food. I'm going to be full of
those biscuits before I get my food. You know what
my food always is. I gotta come clean. I love
the lemon pepper troat.

Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
What you go to cracker Barrel and eat lemon pepper trouts?
You knew we were going. I do what I do.

Speaker 9 (01:04:48):
Now Every now and then I fall off the wagon
and I get some of that good country fried steak.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Yeah. Man, I always go with the biscuit, corn bread
muffin combo, go with just cornra really yeah, I like
to have a little combo. The Yeah, their biscuits A
little dude doe Okay, Rick Burgers show unscreen phone calls
go ahead, and that's a boy from test City Town.

Speaker 18 (01:05:14):
Okay.

Speaker 20 (01:05:15):
What I feel sorry for the Kurts. I really did
pray for them every day, just a piece and comfort.
But you know where I wished that shooter the shot
here and the one that's the shot the I s agents.
I wish they were all flopping and do do.

Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
That then, Okay, Tom, he makes any sense? Good night Tom?

Speaker 18 (01:05:36):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
So I thought I thought speedy. I thought the shooter
tell me better than that. Actually, I mean he may
have been shooting at Ice agents, but he didn't hit. No,
he hit actually people who were actually migrants did.

Speaker 7 (01:05:49):
Yeah, he did, but he was a we know more
now that it was a it was an attempt to take.

Speaker 2 (01:05:53):
Out of that. But he said that they shot the agents. No, no,
no agents. Unfortunately, really our theory yesterday has come true.
The person trying to shoot at ace at Ice Agents
actually killed the people that obviously they said about being deprived. Yeah,
we continue Rick Birder's show. Unscreen phone calls, go ahead, Rick, Yes, buddy, Hey.

Speaker 18 (01:06:20):
Brother, I got a question.

Speaker 13 (01:06:21):
I a golfing. You talk about golf in those days
not a sport, correct? Have you ever played eighteen holes
where it's cart path only?

Speaker 21 (01:06:31):
Hold on that and I'm gonna throw this at you.

Speaker 13 (01:06:33):
What's been trying doing that four days in a row
like the pros do. I'm telling you it'll wear you out,
my friend.

Speaker 8 (01:06:40):
Yeah, that's just a hike. You're just hiking. Yeah, and
hiking is hard, but it's not a sport. Either that's
not a sport, it's hiking.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
That's a thing's too much of hiking is great.

Speaker 7 (01:06:50):
There could be an argument, and I'll probably get spit at.
But at the highest level, when you get to the
PGA or you get to the European Tour, whatever, what
they are doing is totally different than the average golfer
that rides in a cart and drinks and and all that.
What they are, what they what they do does take
athleticism and and and it is incredible, it is it is. Well, know,

(01:07:12):
what they're doing is a sport. What they are doing
at the professional level right where they they you know
that where they're they're right. But I'm just saying now,
I'm not talking about, Hey, we're going to the country
club or the golf course and riding around drinking, having
a good old time. Yeah, that's an activity.

Speaker 8 (01:07:29):
Here's Scotti Scheffer working out. But proven it's a sport.

Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
There you go. You think any of them could play
middle linebacker for an NFL, YEP, don't.

Speaker 7 (01:07:37):
Maybe John Rahm M, we continue Bird Show.

Speaker 15 (01:07:45):
Good morning. I'm calling from Jasper and I just wanted
to tell.

Speaker 12 (01:07:49):
You guys, my son and I.

Speaker 15 (01:07:52):
Were leaving school the other day, I work at his
school and it was pouring down range. He's eleven years old,
and when we left, I was like, okay, but let's go,
and he was like, Mom, real man, don't run in.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
The rail Oh my goodness, that is wonderful that you wouldn't.
That's made my day, It really really has.

Speaker 15 (01:08:14):
I tried to call and let you guys know yesterday
and didn't get through. So I'm so happy I got
to tell.

Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
You, well, thank you you raising that little that future man, right,
that's fantastic. By the way, it really was put to
the test for me yesterday here at this at these offices,
in this studio. It was raining so hard I'm talking
about you couldn't even see through it. And I sat
there and I thought, if I ran to the truck
right now, no one's gonna know. Then I worried there

(01:08:41):
might be a security camera. I didn't know what Dad
could see from heaven and I didn't even have to
walk far, and I was soaking with I'm talking about
soaking with dumped a bucket on you. We continue Rick
Birders show unscreen phone calls. Go ahead, don't know herr,
y'all We're good.

Speaker 21 (01:09:02):
Hey, just got a statement, and so the Hey, some
of the callers, when you've got this big idea in
your head that you're just going to call and own,
everybody may to call a friend past, a couple of people,
get a couple of reviews back before you hit that's good.
But man, I'm just sad driving for y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Call that that was if I hope everybody listened to
that call, run it by Buddy or two same you.
Rick Burgers Show. Unscreen phone calls go ahead, see just
like just like that, Rick Burgers Show, onscreen phone calls,
go ahead.

Speaker 18 (01:09:45):
I don't know what's wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:09:49):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 8 (01:09:50):
I mean, we've had two good calls.

Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
That could be the worst town. That could be the
worst segment.

Speaker 8 (01:09:59):
That's been the entire a second.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Unscreen phone calls, go ahead.

Speaker 9 (01:10:10):
Hey, yeah, I was just talking about Lemon pet Portroy
out and something happened with the phone called sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:10:18):
Rick Burger Show, go ahead, Hey.

Speaker 13 (01:10:22):
Bird, I am definitely one of your more on the
left listeners.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
There, you know what you know what that means on
this show? In this show, that means that what are
you two steps from the right? Go ahead?

Speaker 13 (01:10:38):
I understand, Well, I might be I might be three.

Speaker 22 (01:10:42):
But anyways, to me, I can I'm kind of wary
of how every every shooting that seems like the last
five or five or six have been inscribed on the bullets,
and to me, that just gives a very quick pathway
to somebody.

Speaker 9 (01:11:04):
Creating the narrative I guess.

Speaker 22 (01:11:05):
Is what I'm saying, not that this administration un necessarily
the last, but just in general, if we just take
that face value, every time somebody finds a bullet, they
can write something on it, thank.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
You, thank you very much.

Speaker 19 (01:11:16):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
Is he trying to say the the just want you
to think.

Speaker 7 (01:11:20):
The shooter that that shot at the ice facility. Uh,
there was they found an unused bullet that had anti
ice or he suggesting writing on it, and like they
did with the Charlie Turkey that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:31):
Got all that was he suggesting that it's not the
shooters that's writing them on there, or the shooters are writing,
but they're faking what they They want you to think
it was somebody from this movement to make it look bad.

Speaker 8 (01:11:41):
Of course, the guy on the the guy that shot
Catholic School and he's on take it a.

Speaker 1 (01:11:45):
Weak Burgess show, looking for the man church near you?
Here are some offshop.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
All right now more than ever, Orange Texas this weekend
Man Church one day First Baptist Church, Orange Texas. So
right now you can go to Themanchurch dot com under
evnch Rich Wingo, Andy Blank and I will all three
be there start at eighty in the morning. We'll have
you out of there guys by noon. A great day
of worship and challenge and an opportunity to get in

(01:12:30):
a small group and do one of our curriculum in
Orange Texas Saturday morning. Okay, So just we ran up
against the break there. But the flaw in the there's
people writing things on bullets that want you to think
that this is some sort of you know, the left

(01:12:51):
is out to shoot and kill people they disagree with.
So you have a little bit of a problem on
what Adler said going to the break And because we
know the Catholic shooter is long drawn out videos of
who he was clearly demonic possession and he's actually taken

(01:13:14):
us through all the writings on his weapons and on
his bullets. And don't think anyone to try to frame
an opposing political party would say, I think I'll go
kill a bunch of kids in a Catholic school and
pretend the Left did it. That probably not plausible, especially
with all the overwhelming evidence there. You got a problem

(01:13:35):
with the Charlie Kirk shooter too, because he's admitted he
did it, he's confessed it to his boyfriend, has confessed
it completely, even talked about what he had on the
bullets and where he left it. So that one's got
a problem. If you get into what's happened with Ice,

(01:13:57):
that's probably the only one you still have any hope
on because you're like, well, the migrants got shot, not
the ICE agents, but somebody's pretending they were shooting at
the ICE agents to throw people off the trail. That's
really the only one you have. I think it's still
a bit of a stretch. But the other the others,
there's it's really not up for debate, and I'm not

(01:14:19):
saying that trying to. You have every right to bring
that up, and I think these kind of things are
can always be possible, But then you have to kind
of take that narrative and see if it can be substantiated,
and I think you clearly can't do that on the
the other two. On this latest one, maybe maybe that

(01:14:39):
we'll see but the other two have pretty much there's
there's not a lot of gray area on those sadly,
but but there you go. H okay, so uh some
But thank you for bringing that up, and we appreciate
you listening to the show too. So here's what we
do know. Who is Joshua Is it John jan Jan?

(01:15:00):
This is a twenty nine year old Joshua Yan ties
to North Texas and Oklahoma, been identified as the suspect
in the shooting at the Dallas Ice Detention Center. One
person was killed in the shooting, to others critically injured,
and of course the suspect killed himself and so they

(01:15:22):
they're they're looking into this. We do have some evidence
again that they're finding cameras and things like that. So
it says that his family is from Collin County, city
of Fairview. Also, we we have some people that that

(01:15:45):
said they knew him or whatever. So the criminal background
looks like he does not appear to have a violent
criminal history, so that that doesn't seem like that's going
to help anybody there. Says the motive of shooting is unknown.
They said he he left some stuff behind, but they're

(01:16:07):
not saying that that's official. Anymore. Well, but we're investigating.

Speaker 7 (01:16:12):
Yeah, the Dallas FBI Field Office confirmed that it's being
investigated as an active, targeted violent in nature for ICE agents.
They said they found rounds near the shooter containing messages
that were anti ice in nature. They also said they
found a sign on a car that was reportedly belonging
to the shooter, and it read radioactive fallout from nuclear

(01:16:35):
formations that passed over this these areas more than two times.
It's nineteen fifty one. Kind of crazy. And so is
this someone that's a Kim Trail's per I don't know,
but investigators have not said what led you know him
to have these views, but obviously finding that next to
his body that were unused casings at bullets with that

(01:16:57):
riding on it of anti ice in nature or has
got them investigating this is a targeted attack.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
So we'll see. And and yes, no one thankfully that
works for ICE was actually hit. The people that were
hit were actually migrants, so including the one that was killed.
So we'll see as they continue. But yeah, where these
messages came from? Right now, they think the obvious answer
is the shooter, and but that one may have some

(01:17:28):
of that area that you're looking for. But the other
was sorry, and this one maybe walked up too and
kind of take away any chance of that hypothesis to
have any plausibility. But but we we haven't had one
yet that that narrative could really be considered in a
serious way. Yeah, because we know who did it. I

(01:17:51):
mean they have They told us what they were doing, right,
and we're not looking for someone else. They told us, yeah,
what they did and why they did it. Yeah. Now
I we'll tell you that that that Catholic school shooter guy.
We talked about it on Strength Encounters. That's we go
and is talking to demons and draw all those pictures

(01:18:11):
of the demons, and I mean that is a that's
a dark, wicked situation there. Uh and and it is
what it is now. Sometimes I know that we don't
want to think these things go on and that it
sometimes it's just pure evil. But there's there's the reality,
and then there's the way we wish things were. But

(01:18:32):
this is something that has been around for a long time.
Top of the hour, Thanks for being with us. We
have much more to do going forward. You'll be part
of it. Absolutely, We'll be communicating with you on text
Nation email, phone calls, Tube City chatting there in the
old chat room. We'll be right back. Stay close.

Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
This is the Rick Burgish.

Speaker 16 (01:19:11):
You better listen up. You know what we say, ass
I'm una tell you gotta find.

Speaker 1 (01:19:25):
The voice of reason in an unreasonable world. The Rick
Burchard Show.

Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
Here we go, America. Thank you for being with us
as we start a brand new hour. So as we
start this hour, much to do as we go forward, speedy,
Greg and Adler are here and we thank you for

(01:19:54):
being with us. So if you're ready, let's go. Thank
you very much. Also, as we start that hour, Hey,
thanks to text Nation too. I really appreciate this out
North Carolina. You're right, that was a misspeak on my part.
I was simply stating that this person seemed bent on
shooting ICE agents and did not shoot any of those,

(01:20:17):
And then I went on to say the only people
that were shot were the migrants. Was a migrant, and
I meant that this person, if he was doing what
he says he was trying to do, he ended up
killing the very people he was trying to protect. And
it sounded like I was downgrading it, like it's no
big deal that they were shot. And I did not
mean that you're right, no matter if you agree or disagree,

(01:20:37):
like we were talking about. You may not liked or
or agree with Charlie Kirk, but I think we all
can agree that he shouldn't be shot in cold blood,
and these migrants shouldn't be shot either. They were in
the middle of this person. This is why crazed shootings
do not serve anything. If you want to debate how
we're securing the border, and you want to debate how
we are handling it, you have every right to do this.

(01:20:59):
But see here you are again shooting at people as
opposed to debating in the public arena, and you end
up killing people that you claim you're trying to protect.
So the way I phrased that could have been phrased better,
and I apologize for that, and I thank you for
pointing that out on text Nation. That's the beauty of
always having ears and eyes that are hearing and seeing

(01:21:20):
things that sometimes we miss in our own lives. So
thank you for that. As we start this hour, I
find it interesting that Greg left something out earlier in
the program. Yeah, I complete that, man. I think it's
real sleepy. I think it's because of trauma Is that
what you think it is?

Speaker 7 (01:21:38):
I think it is, yeah, because I have just a
little bit of audio, maybe ten fifteen seconds. Yeah, And
I also Gregg to see if this do you remember
anything like this from Hi?

Speaker 17 (01:21:47):
Now, I'm Terry from Houston and liss is Carly, my
favorite dental assistant.

Speaker 23 (01:21:51):
By mail, I bet you weren't expecting all these women
over sixty and looks so hot.

Speaker 2 (01:21:59):
You want to explain that, but I just forgot it.
It's one of the women getting out of the limousine
up on the Golden Bachelor. She had a puppet and
the puppet called out Mail for his comment about it.
Talk to him, that was a puppet voice. Yeah, and
you tell us that slapped him because he had said
that about you know, only women sixty and below, which

(01:22:20):
he went back and said apologizing, because like I said,
if that's his case, then he needs to go home
because I maybe one was under sixty that I saw.
You're diverting again. How about you can't you can't blocked it.
You can't deal with the fact because you don't like
puppet to human in her eye. You've been that. You
made that very clear. We have a person on the
Golden bachelor get out of the limousine, and I brought

(01:22:42):
it up about how awkward it was. You were talking
about speed. He couldn't have made it through these ridiculous
talk about a bomb squad lady, and you, of all
people leave out a woman with a puppet completely forgot
about it. Bumpet over our hand and yeah, you got
a little stick controls this arms. So she gets slapped.

Speaker 8 (01:23:01):
She got out doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Yeah, I don't know why. She must be a dentist
because she claimed this is my dentist, because all of
them are tied to what they did.

Speaker 5 (01:23:09):
It was.

Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
It was I wish I had video. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 8 (01:23:13):
Was there a lady on a dirt bike?

Speaker 4 (01:23:15):
Also?

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
Yes, the lady drove up on a dirt bike. Hot
has low tigers. Okay, so there was one lady who
was in her seventies that played hockey. What Yeah, showed
her out? Don't tell me. She came out with a stick. No,
she was dribbed. She said, I'll tell you it's not bad.

(01:23:36):
She asked him what the blank he was thinking, and
she used the word puck. She plays. I said, I
didn't want to say it get mixed, but she said something,
asking him a question, asked, what though, but she would
saying puck. Yeah, she didn't hand it to him, say
do you I think she may have? Okay, she said

(01:23:58):
do you want do you want a? No? No, what
are you talking about? I didn't know what he was saying.
I don't know what he was saying. She was like,
what the blank?

Speaker 5 (01:24:06):
You?

Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
Okay? All right? I just asked him if he handed it?
She handed him? You said, you want to know? I said,
do you took it?

Speaker 15 (01:24:16):
You want?

Speaker 16 (01:24:18):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
That's what she would do, And I didn't stop. It's
not hell, you're the one that forgot all that. How
about this? The more you explained, okay, I know, all right,
So this is right before. That is what you call
in hockey. It's a I know. But the way you
were saying, she was using it was racing. When somebody's racing,
somebody said one to him, you know, But you said
then she said if he wanted one? And I didn't

(01:24:40):
know if like, hey, here here's here's my gift. Here,
here's just stop it. Shouldn't you be talking about dogs?

Speaker 24 (01:24:47):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (01:24:47):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:24:48):
So anyway, but there's a puppet talking to the guy
and the woman's holding the puppet. Oh you you're going
to find out that people over sixty yes, even to
glow hand and hit him. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:25:00):
At the end here in that clip, he goes, that's
the first time I think I've ever been hit by.

Speaker 25 (01:25:05):
That was.

Speaker 14 (01:25:09):
I don't think I've ever been hit by a puppet before.

Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
I felt bad for him because he had, you know,
be nice and grin and you got a rose. I
think I'm the lady with I don't know I missed
who got to right? I think your name was Terry.
I don't know Greg, as I was on the edge
of falling asleep and I went to bed before Greg.
All that before they went, I want you to picture
right now Speed. He's happily married, so it didn't work,

(01:25:34):
but pictured anyway, picture pictures. But this picture him taking
Speedy and making him stand there and say, you have
to pretend you're the Golden Bacher and every one of
these women is going to come in and he had
to watch every bit of this. Yeah, watching on TV,
could you city? None of them just walk and go, hey,
how are you doing? Now? They're in character, every one

(01:25:56):
of the trying to be in character. Something that has
to do with their live producers had he thought he
had him something.

Speaker 8 (01:26:03):
Was Paula Abdu part of it?

Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Greg? Yes, did you just keep on the previous on
the show an Upcoming they went, you know, male played
for the Rams. Oh yeah, okay, yeah, so they had
to dress up as cheerleaders and she taught him a
routine or something. Oh I see, because she she also
was she was a a Laker girl. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:26:25):
Okay, boy, Greg, you really forgot a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
I didn't. I didn't even see this. Can I ask
you this about this? And only I would care about this?
Only I would care about this. Does it bother you
that the time he played for the Rams, they don't
have him in that jersey. He's wearing a current Rams jersey.
The way their their uniform looks now about I mean,
shouldn't we the horns look different. Yeah, well just look
at the number has the fading of the colors and

(01:26:50):
stuff on the Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right,
he's not they were yellow. It wasn't during the Gold Era.
But still you're right, it wasn't like that. Shouldn't he
have been in is today the jersey he wore? Yeah? Yeah,
I think so. But anyways, so it sounds like this
is a secondhand embarrassment nightmare. Oh speedy. The whole time

(01:27:10):
I was watching it, I said, I wish he was
sitting right beside me. This whole golden thing, I mean,
the Bachelor and the Bachelorette is it's bad enough of
a concept, but when you start doing this with old people,
when you don't want see old people may old people
need to be acting right, they're about to die. They don't,
they don't need to be like this.

Speaker 9 (01:27:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:27:29):
Now, I will say this, for for most of the
I've seen pictures, they all look like they've taken very
good care of themselves. Yeah, And I mean, and we're
right there at their age. But I am old.

Speaker 8 (01:27:40):
But we're not showing that much.

Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
Clear about this. I need I need to be sure.

Speaker 7 (01:27:43):
I'm not to feel but likes taking care of himself.

Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
He's picture there though that that they don't. They've doctored
those up.

Speaker 8 (01:27:51):
Grandma doesn't need to be showing that much cleavage.

Speaker 7 (01:27:54):
I don't think that we're Oh, what's so old yellow
doing up there?

Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Easy?

Speaker 8 (01:28:01):
I'm just she's actually got an age appropriate haircut.

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
Yeah that's what. Yeah, that's the one. The hockey player.
That's the hockey player. Oh yeah, yeah, the wrong there.
Hey are you doing? I mean, look, I mean I
know they got big money for probably some advertiser from

(01:28:25):
se Alice or something, but I just this is you
know stuff. None of those people look like they did
that even on television. Look, you know you're too old
for this.

Speaker 1 (01:28:38):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, his life statements. Suck
it up, buttered a cup.

Speaker 2 (01:28:59):
Rick, Thank you America for being with us today. We
are having a box and I'm glad you've decided to
join us. Thank you so much for your feedback. Thank
you for participating. All right, let me talk to you
about this for just the moments. Okay, just a moment,
stand by, let's talk about it. Security systems are important,

(01:29:23):
no question about that, now more than ever. Let's face it,
we've got a lot of crazoids out there, but most
security systems only are reactive. They start doing stuff after
the break ins already happened. Well, the only thing better
than that is to have a security system that is proactive.

(01:29:44):
It keeps the break in from ever taking place. Hello,
simply safe, dot com slash big Box, They're very different.
It's designed to be proactive. Here's how with active guard
outdoor protection. Smart AI powered CA cameras will identify threats
lurking outside. Hey, hey, whoa slow down? You ain't supposed

(01:30:07):
to be here. Hey, it's me Gary So and then
that's shovel. Then then that would be fine. But anyway,
so then the monitors are alerted, they're they're monitoring twenty
four to seven. They begin to engage the intruder, get
law enforcement on the way. No break in ever happens.
So why don't you go right now to Simplysafe dot

(01:30:28):
com slash big vox. We go to fifty percent off, yes,
with a monitoring agreement, but you want that. That's how
it all works in the first month to be free.
So go right now and find the link if you
prefer Rick Burgess show dot com under sponsors. There just
is no safe like simply safe dot com slash big Vox.

(01:30:48):
So Greg, what do you think? Sure? Okay, here we go.
We want to wish happy birthday to h Lee Lee
herself of Gregg's lovely wife Lisa Burgess celebrating her birthday today,
and this is her favorite song from Earth Wind and

(01:31:09):
Fire about her birthday. You then to change the day,
just to change the day hers is the twenty fifth, right,
Well it's okay, twentieth.

Speaker 11 (01:31:23):
Day lay in key. Then come on, let's got late last.
Happy birthday, Lee.

Speaker 2 (01:31:40):
Everybody's singing for Lely, So happy birth You know. I
had a little early birthday of the night with the
Earth Winding Fire special that was on television. You got
to see that. A little on the weather. You hate

(01:32:01):
to be sick on your birthday, but yeah, you taking
care of her. Yeah, and of course I wait on
her hand and you need most you know what she
tells me. You just please go on leave me alone.

Speaker 8 (01:32:13):
And you got it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:14):
And you're known for your bedside manner, I am. You'll
be surprised. Yes, I would drag. But as far as
the birthday celebration, we're going to bump it back a
few days. I mean last weekend we got together with
the kids and they all did so that's good. So
we got to do that. But yeah, a little out
of the weather. They gave her a good birthday present,
Yeah they did. They actually gave her a little the

(01:32:37):
kids off passing around. They passed right to take this.
Here's a virus. But happy birthday, even though you don't
feel good, you know, well what you're gonna get her something.

Speaker 8 (01:32:48):
Oh yeah, yesterday was my mom's birthday too.

Speaker 2 (01:32:50):
Oh d you want me tell you what to tell
the world what I saw?

Speaker 10 (01:32:55):
No, I had already texted her. You you thought you
saw the moment I realized it. I did text my
mom during the show, but I didn't say it on
the airs.

Speaker 8 (01:33:04):
But it's fine. It's also my nephew, Charlie's birthday yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
Wow. So we could have got both of those in
during the show on their actual day.

Speaker 16 (01:33:12):
You know.

Speaker 10 (01:33:13):
I didn't want to do that to the audience. No
meaningless shout outs, no shameless place.

Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
I'm with you, Greg, Would you walk this song for? No,
I'll tell you what I am. I'm gonna start practicing
and I'm gonna get good at it, and then i'll
do Greg, everybody wants you to start walking songs. What
I want you to do practice. I want you to talk,
Just talk from the heart. I don't want to run
Lisa's birthday today by doing that. Greg, she wanted to
walk for you're talking to her. I'm not. I got

(01:33:39):
to learn. I got a practice. I'm not doing it.

Speaker 7 (01:33:41):
So you're the DJ, you're sitting I'm not the song
to the love of your life. I want I'm not
I don't know how I will work on it. Then
I'm not doing it.

Speaker 2 (01:33:52):
This is what you are doing. This is great. Taking
speaking a whole that, come on, take him home, Come on,
come home. Practice and so you felt it, so now
you know what to say. I don't know how you'll
come up with that. Okay, stop, I'm gonna work you more.

Speaker 8 (01:34:17):
Work on it home known as red rop.

Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
Yeah yeah, no, no, then we've almost got it. Take
it for Okay. I wanted to to take a ship.
Go I want to I want to do it right.
Look y'all the guys y'all came up. I'm didding John
his cake, dude?

Speaker 8 (01:34:39):
Does he go?

Speaker 2 (01:34:39):
Greg? We're not leaving until you do this. Let me
tell you some great words. If you think we're gonna
keep going to you to walking.

Speaker 1 (01:34:44):
So yeah, you've been a right now we are going
no way.

Speaker 2 (01:34:47):
Now going homes. I'm grown now, so I don't work Hey,
okay all stop, I'm gonna practice next year on the birthday.
I'll be ready next year on her birth Yes, and
she'll be feeling better. So she didn't want to hear
that it'd be so bad. And I already feel bad.
I don't want to run, you know, back back in
back in the day when I was you know, when

(01:35:09):
I was a d J, you know legally, and Greg
have been to go forever. I wish your little birthday
while walking this song. You knew I do that. You're
talking about the afternoon extravagan Get let me work, let
me get you. Yeah, better than getting up.

Speaker 7 (01:35:23):
So you call her honey or baby or what is
it you call her honey?

Speaker 2 (01:35:28):
I don't I've never thought about it. I don't know,
but I don't know what you call her, just her name.
I imagine all the time. I don't know, like I
called Terry honey. I'll hey, honey, you don't do it
that way. I've heard it. I've heard it.

Speaker 12 (01:35:42):
Well.

Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
I'm just thinking, when he's walking the song, he can't
give it a shout out to his honey. And being
around you a lot, I realize why you picked a
word that was real close.

Speaker 7 (01:35:52):
Something's wrong with you, something wrong with you. You you
got a problem, you do I don't have dogs in
my house. Okay, you went to that?

Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
All right?

Speaker 4 (01:36:01):

Speaker 2 (01:36:02):

the show. A special thanks to ninety four point one
in Lynchburg for keeping you guys on the air. I
love it every day, like many, Okay, just let me finish. Okay,

(01:39:43):
like many, I wasn't an Adler fan. Now I'm not
sure that was like many, But now I can't imagine
the show without him. Amen. He not only is great
on the air, but hiss behind the scenes, hustle and
hilarity brings a smile on my face. I'm concerned that

(01:40:04):
he has a lot on his plate and I feel
that he needs a butler or a nanny. Could ask
could you ask Adler which TV butler slash nanny would
be the best fit for his wife and kids?

Speaker 8 (01:40:18):
That's a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:40:19):
Number one, Benson, number two, mister Belvedere, number three, Nail
from Give Me a Break, four, who I thought was
a bip, Tony from Who's the Boss? And five Alice
from The Brady Bunch. If you had to pick from
those five, Hazel didn't make it. Yeah, I remember Hazel.

(01:40:40):
That's before his time. Nobody remembers Hazel Gray to be
which one of those jumps out at you, Adler neither.

Speaker 10 (01:40:49):
I'm gonna go with the robot that says danger, Will
Robinson and they can be like danger, Ezra a danger,
don't touch that hornet's nest?

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Danger, Okay, Okay, so you bring out a creepy robot
into your house. I don't know other than these wonderful
human beings more people. I liked Benson. Did you like Benson?
Of course? I like Benson's such a real I think Benson.

(01:41:17):
Then Benson spent off of soap? Is that correct? That
is greg? Wow, that's good. Remember that soap? It was
pretty fun. It made fun of soap operas. Of all
these Tony got on my nerves. Mister Belvidere got way
on my nerves. I never remember remember we talked about
this back in the Ricky Abubba days, we tried to

(01:41:37):
discover the mystery. Who's watching mister Belvidere? How's this still
in the air? I never met anybody that watched it,
but yet it was for a long time, but so
probably for me. As far as getting things done, Benson,
I think I would enjoy his company more. The effectiveness.
The effectiveness of Alice. It is hard to she knows

(01:41:58):
what to do. She knows what to do. I think
Neil from kim Me a Break would sing too much? Yeah, uh,
because you know she was you know what a shocker.
A heavy black woman can sing? Well, you know, I
mean it's let me tell you, we we let me
tell you that if you're you're if you're a heavy
black woman and you can't sing, well, do you feel weird?

Speaker 18 (01:42:19):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
I never thought about that week right now?

Speaker 8 (01:42:22):
Yeah, if you're a heavy black woman, call in and
tell us.

Speaker 2 (01:42:25):
Right. I'd like to talk to a heavy black woman
that can't sing.

Speaker 8 (01:42:28):
How does it make you feel?

Speaker 12 (01:42:30):
Right? Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:42:31):
Here we go. Uh. This is from Brad Hey Bird,
Hey Burge. I'd like to know what goes through the
minds of these people who claim the rapture is coming.
You know, we've had another one miss as predicted? Do
they expect it to happen? And even if they do, so,
what's gonna what's gonna happen? I understand you can look foolish,
but he has a great point here. I'm going to

(01:42:51):
a different angle here this guy. And that's why it
made the email because I think this is a point's
never been He goes, what if it does happen, what
are you expecting an im away from everybody? Do you
think everybody's like going to be in there in front
of Jesus going hey, good job, Look who made the call?

Speaker 5 (01:43:05):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:43:06):
So he goes, Or or is that does Jesus say
to them, hey, great, guess you hit it? So what
did they hope to gain? Either way, all you can
do is look foolish even if you get it right.
So what no one cares? So it's a good point,
but at good point. We had one miss again. Now
this is not when I was telling you about that
was super super deep and I won't get too deep

(01:43:28):
with it. I kind of go, I'm gonna go nutshell
because it's it's exhaustive. All the information she got back
from Grock is that what it's called Grock. My name,
I'm not supposed to say the name. I don't mind
if you use my first name. Okay, Chris Rock, longtime listener.
Love the new show. I love it as much or
sometimes maybe even more than the old show. Well thank you.

(01:43:48):
Been listening to you guys since ninety four. Appreciate that
very much. Anyway, here are two links. They sent that
to me to a pastor who asked chat at what
it would do if it were the devil. I found
that pretty interesting, so I decided to ascend it to
the show. But also also I would like to have

(01:44:11):
this same conversation with Groc because I had to. I
had I had to copy and paste the conversation into
a document all this. It's lengthy, yes it was. But anyway,
when you look at what these AI what do you
call them? Do you call them bots? AI bots? Is
that correct?

Speaker 10 (01:44:29):
I mean, just you wouldn't necessarily call it an AI bot. Generally,
a bot is like a fake account. Like if you
see all kinds of responses, you're like, oh, the bots
are going crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:44:41):
They type in chat a lot of times and do
like you know, likes and you know, negative things too.
On social media and things like that.

Speaker 2 (01:44:48):
So what would I say that grock and chat, gpt.

Speaker 8 (01:44:53):
R, AI models, AI programs.

Speaker 2 (01:44:59):
Okay, yeah, I gotcha, all right, right, here we go.
Let's see what are you doing?

Speaker 13 (01:45:04):
All right?

Speaker 2 (01:45:05):
So are you about to ask your son? No, here's
what she got back. Okay, are you ready? And there's
all kinds of stuff in there, but we just don't
have time for this is one of these things coming
back if they were the devil. So they go out
and they find all the information about the devil, about
Satan they know, and then they write, tell me if
it works that way. Then they come back and say,

(01:45:25):
based on all the information with our brilliance that we
could find, here's what the devil would likely do. And
it says number one, I would target the faithful. It
says that if I were the devil, I would have
begin to attack all those that are faithful to the
faith that have impact. There's more in the para paragraph,

(01:45:46):
but I'm not going to read the whole thing. Number two,
I would broaden chaos globally.

Speaker 5 (01:45:51):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
Number three, I would increase personal temptations on the individual level.
I would understand how the human works and their sin nature.
And I would play on their sin nature, and I
would attack their unwavering faith by constantly taking them through trials,
health issues, relationship strains, doubts during prayer. I would make

(01:46:15):
them question God's goodness by making their lives miserable. Ooh wow,
and uh, it says in essence as the devil, I
will I will try to also be careful about giving
grand spectacles that are too obvious of who I am.
I would make sure that people did not take me seriously,

(01:46:39):
even to the point that they're certain I don't even exist.
Out of that now, this this is going out. That
means that when everything scripture has to say about the devil,
the things that they could find probably went into I'm
sure C. S. Lewis's analogies on the things he studied
with screwtape, screwtape letters, which your back eats post because

(01:47:00):
some of this sounds very familiar. So so that was interesting,
What an interesting email that was, And there was a
lot more to it, but there's no way it wouldn't
It's just too much information for me to do in
a small segment like this. But I found that to
be very very interesting.

Speaker 10 (01:47:17):
Greg, and you mentioned the word bot, and you know,
I generally associate bot with what I was talking about earlier,
where you see all kinds of fake accounts posting fake things.

Speaker 8 (01:47:27):
But they do call it a AI chat bot. Okay,
so that's a little different chet.

Speaker 10 (01:47:33):
But I mentioned it's a model, but really it's a
large language model. That's really what these things are. And
then Greg asked, why is it named groc? I didn't
know why. I thought it was just like a funny
sounding word. But the name groc comes from a verb
coined by the science fiction author Robert A. A. Hemlen

(01:47:54):
from Stranger in a Strange Land from nineteen sixty one.

Speaker 8 (01:47:59):
Do you guys know that book? It's really famous. I've
never read I've heard of it. Yeah, I've heard of it.
You never read it. But in the novel to Grock,
something is a form of profound and intuitive understanding to
comprehend something, which led me to look up why is Siri,
you know, Apple's AI thing.

Speaker 10 (01:48:18):
Why is Siri called Siri? That's because the co founder,
Dag Kittless chose the name from a Norwegian word meaning
beautiful woman who leads you to victory. That's a little
creepier to me. Yeah, a siren song kind of thing.

Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
I'm not saying this because you all know how I
feel about this. When you look at deeper in this.
One of the things that these chat boxes came up with.
A box came up with chat boxes. Some people that
you try to spend less time with bot and so
it's said that one of the misconceptions, so that it

(01:48:57):
would make people question the horror and put them through,
is that I would perpetuate a prosperity gospel that people
would look and go, well, things are happening to me,
things must be wrong between me and God. So so
there you go. But the prosperity gospel, I don't know
how it survives unless people just don't read the Bible.

Speaker 8 (01:49:18):
Right the best life?

Speaker 2 (01:49:19):
Now, yeah, I mean not in the only way you
can believe that is you have never read the Bible,
because there's so many inconsistencies of that. I mean, like
I said, the apostle Paul would be deemed unredeemed by
the prosperity Gospel. We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (01:49:36):
This is the Rick Burgess Show doing what he was
born to do, The Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 2 (01:49:58):
All right, So loves in that out of Pennsylvania, you guys,
are making me look insane at work. I listened on
raycon Earbudts yesterday's dog segment almost got me fired. I
started laughing spontaneously in the office, uncontrollably. Sorry about that.
That is Uh that's actually our goal though, uh and said,

(01:50:21):
especially when no one has context, you just start laughing crazy. Yeah.
It kind of makes everybody work thinks something's wrong with you.

Speaker 5 (01:50:27):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
And yeah, people are still telling us out of Birmingham
that ZZK has a traffic guy that can't pronounce silicaga.
I want to hear that really bad and so bad.
I haven't been able to hear it, but I would
love to hear that speedy. I understand you have audio
for us to hear. You've handed me a story, but
I don't know what this audio is.

Speaker 7 (01:50:50):
It's gonna probably explain itself a little bit, but it's
chaos in one California town.

Speaker 2 (01:50:55):
Okay, oh no, all right.

Speaker 26 (01:50:57):
Clumped onto my leg, and which is hanging on his
tail was flying up here, you know, and I was like,
get off me, get off me, and I kind of
didn't want to touch ship.

Speaker 27 (01:51:07):
The squirrel went to the floor. I'm from the floor,
tried to jump to my face went to the floor.
I'm from the floor. Tried to jump to my face
to ship. The squirrel went to the floor. I'm from
the floor, tried to jump to my face.

Speaker 2 (01:51:22):
What do you think happened? I think that this person
got a quirrel, she said. I thought it was an
encounter maybe with Bill Clinton. Listen to it again, listen
to it. Let me get to it. I'm to touch ship.

Speaker 27 (01:51:37):
The squirrel went to the floor from the floor, the.

Speaker 26 (01:51:42):
First on my leg, and it was just hanging on
his tail, was flying up here, you know, And I
was like, get off me, get off me. And I
kind of didn't want to touch ship this mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (01:51:56):
But so we know now it's just she's yelling get
off me, like it understands English. It says here a sorry, ma'am.
A squirrel or squirrels.

Speaker 7 (01:52:07):
A quirrel is attacking people in California town two victims
who we just heard of had to go to the
emergency room, y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:52:16):
With the quarrels. You know what they said, Greg, please
don't come out. Hear what they said. When it was nuts,
it was nuts.

Speaker 7 (01:52:23):
It was going crazy, y'all. They have got that they
put up a tax squirrel beware.

Speaker 2 (01:52:32):
So I've never it is not a joke. People who's
had pet quarrels and someone tries to pet them and
it bites them. But just coming out of the wild
and they're just jumping people. Look at this picture. Those
of you can't see it. That's a great picture. Adler
is showing us the flyer that is on all the
telephone poles and stuff in the neighborhood. It has a

(01:52:52):
crazy squirrel diving at you, right to you, and it
says a tax squirrel beware, And this is not a joke.
Can I hear this guy?

Speaker 7 (01:53:00):
Read news from the calendar?

Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
You can't go ahead of an attack squirrel or up
In parts of San Rafell, California, north of San Francisco.
They were posted after at least fives were attacked in
the neighborhood. Victims say the squirrel came out of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (01:53:20):
And stretches to their.

Speaker 26 (01:53:23):
Plumped onto my leg and it was just hanging on
his tail, was flying up here, you know, and get
off me, Get off me. And I kind of didn't
want to touch ship.

Speaker 27 (01:53:32):
The squirrel I'm from the floor tried to jump to
my face.

Speaker 3 (01:53:38):
Squirrels are unlikely to Squirrels are unlikely to.

Speaker 15 (01:53:45):
Go back.

Speaker 27 (01:53:46):
Tackled jump on a touch ship, the squirrel went to
the floor. I'm from the floor, tried to jump to
my face.

Speaker 3 (01:53:55):
Squirrels are unlikely to carry Squirrels are unlikely to carry bradies.
Experts the rest behavior is likely the result of a
squirrel being fed and cared for by humans when it
was young. So if somebody thinking they're doing something good
for the squirrel, don't feed the squirrel, and later on
in life the squirrel is like attacking.

Speaker 2 (01:54:15):
They don't attack you because they think they were going
to feed them. They wrong about that. I have tried.
I have tried and tried, and tried and tried. I'm
exhausted with trying to warn society. I mean, we didn't
even do the story the other day, but a lot
of you know it. We got orcers out there sinking
boats for fun. They're destroying boats for fun. Squirrels are

(01:54:39):
attacking and uncharacteristically just attacking people for no reason. Cooper hawks,
Cooper hawks have gone crazy the world. I mean, animals
are on the all out attack. I don't know how
many more times I got to say that. So look,
how about squirrels can be a handle they can be
or their agile though I watched them out the window.

(01:55:00):
You know, if they come to the bird feeders and
just break havoc they they hang in, I'm gonna start
scraping out of it.

Speaker 10 (01:55:06):
I don't think they need to rule out rabies because
the coirrels can get rabies. It is rare, but they
can get get rare.

Speaker 2 (01:55:11):
This animal, this is a rabbit squirrel, I think, So
why don't we claim it's rare. I mean, they're animals
in the wood. Certain animals are more rare to get raby.
Maybe certain certain animals don't get it as readily as others.
I don't know. I mean I tell you who does
get it? Oh yeller, Yeah, And so do the coyodies

(01:55:33):
and all that, Yeah yell. Same one thing right across
the road by the house of the day I hit
the gas. Couldn't get it. Oh really their tag there there,
their survivors. Coyodies are hard to take. Hey, that might
get out come to work in the mornings. It's dark.
You can hear them. Boy, they get cutting up.

Speaker 7 (01:55:51):
Well, we got we got a big old jet black
fox that I see every now and now, Like Black
Black One and him and Cuddy have had a they're
off interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:56:01):
Oh yeah, I mean it's from a distance through the pines.
I'm still battling Armadilla's how's that battle? Not good? I
video buy some of that stuff? He was, go buy
some of that stuff?

Speaker 19 (01:56:12):
What is that?

Speaker 2 (01:56:13):
Somebody sent me a picture. I'm gonna go buy so
much stuff?

Speaker 26 (01:56:16):
What is that?

Speaker 2 (01:56:16):
Throw it out? But what it's some kind of poison.

Speaker 7 (01:56:20):
He was watching poison post show, a YouTube video on
on my Della's dug.

Speaker 2 (01:56:27):
Up under my ear. Oh no, they're awful. They do damage,
are you? Oh you're going to have those those grubs
that get them? Yeah, okay, killer grubs. I understand about that.
They're called killer grubs. I don't know. And now, look,
you might deal with a lot out there. Watch out
on killer grubs. You you also might get a twofer.
Mh you know, dog is boding me. Oh no, I'm

(01:56:50):
just saying it can happen. You need to be aware
of it. He'd be careful. You don't want that to
happen to Buddy.

Speaker 5 (01:56:54):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:56:54):
Now, as far as the other one, Rick, I don't
say that. I didn't say that right here in Lydie's birthday.
I'm sure no, can't get rid of what's the other
one called the mean Millie? Okay, she seems like she's
a through. Yeah, she's a lot of fun. Have you
talked Jim about your problem? Have you have you set
them down to say, hey, y'all, y'all have to run

(01:57:16):
them off. I don't know when you do something to
help me. Don't lay in the grass all the time.
I've noticed that dogs don't help much with arm possoms.
They'll get yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 13 (01:57:26):
Top of the hour.

Speaker 2 (01:57:28):
Thanks for being with us.

Speaker 1 (01:57:32):
This is the Rick Burgess Show, America.

Speaker 6 (01:57:47):
Show.

Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
Here we go, America. Thank you for being with us.
Brandy Wiwer.

Speaker 6 (01:57:58):
Fantastic from the real, giving.

Speaker 2 (01:58:02):
It real, giving you some guidance and the cloudiness of
the fake world. Speedy, Greg and Adler are all here
ready to go. So as we start this brand new
I were we continue to be impressed as Speedy has

(01:58:22):
slowly but surely he really taken He really got aggressive
about this, really really gotten aggressive. And I don't know
if you're he's trying to do that thing where he
wants to kind of let me know how it's going
without just saying, hey, I'm trying to learn more about music. Right,
he'll do it, He'll do this. Greg and I were
talking about the time Greg and I were talking before

(01:58:43):
the show about this, this and this and kind of
what we did. And hey, I was in there talking
to Adler and we were discussing, you know, the group
so and so, and I know you, I know you're learning.

Speaker 7 (01:58:53):
Yeah, well you can just I mean in today's discussion.
I've always enjoyed informing Greg about music, you know, right,
And we were discussing Vince neil uh and you and yeah,
prior to the show and just hang on, Greg.

Speaker 2 (01:59:14):
And everybody, everybody hang on.

Speaker 7 (01:59:17):
And so we were talking about, you know the fact
that he looked a little bit off on one of
his solo shows. What you read off that computer? And
he was talking to Eddie Trunk, you know Eddie, Yeah
you serious xm Eddie Trunk Show. Anyway, he he was

(01:59:37):
talking to Vince and Vince said, you know, he had
that stroke at Christmas last.

Speaker 2 (01:59:42):
Year and everybody thought.

Speaker 7 (01:59:44):
Everybody thought that it was just one, but Vince actually said,
I had four strokes. Look at him, terrible four current strokes,
that current he looks terrible four four. That's not that'd
be four four and uh, and so we were just
talking about that, the fact that we thought he had

(02:00:05):
one but he's actually been four. And that's kind of
he looked a little bit off.

Speaker 18 (02:00:09):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
They're supposed to have a residency in Las Vegas, and
I think it's been postponed. Yeah, it has. You can
ask me about it.

Speaker 7 (02:00:17):
Then that's that's that kind of spilled off into and
I don't know why, but today, not only is it
Lee's birthday and three months to Christmas, but it's a
national One Hit Wonder Day. And I was asking Greg
what his favorite one hit wonder was and we've talked
about it before.

Speaker 2 (02:00:31):
Uh and I mean you got you've got you know,
look at the different but look at the difference.

Speaker 7 (02:00:37):
Golly, look at that. We're showing pictures events now. And
you had said you felt like it was my Sharona.

Speaker 2 (02:00:46):
I go with My Sharona as the one hit wonder
that I like, probably the best. But I will say this,
this other one the group had more than they had
one more song, I know, but the outfield with what
was the oh yeah, lose your Love to a vacation
for that one, but they did have another song they

(02:01:06):
didn't know it since you were going something like that.
I think that's Kelly Clarkson, but thank you. It was
something like you know, I qualified them as one hit wonder. Yeah,
play that.

Speaker 8 (02:01:18):
Music, your love, all the love?

Speaker 9 (02:01:20):
Say it?

Speaker 10 (02:01:20):
Is it?

Speaker 8 (02:01:20):
So every time you cry, it's all good. That's the outfield.

Speaker 2 (02:01:24):
Remember that a few more again?

Speaker 18 (02:01:26):
And what was it?

Speaker 10 (02:01:27):
Was it?

Speaker 8 (02:01:27):
I was just saying if it was any of these
songs that you'all were thinking again, your.

Speaker 25 (02:01:30):
Love and what it is?

Speaker 2 (02:01:34):
It's your love is what it is? Well, and you
know what, Greg, I don't even is it? Say it
didn't so maybe it didn't.

Speaker 9 (02:01:38):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (02:01:39):
I don't remember the other name of it. Every time
you cry? Anyway, they didn't have, but your Love was
their huge hit. There was a couple other that when
we were talking music. Come on Ali say that again.
Come on Ali, Come on, come on Muhammad Ali, come Onli.

(02:02:05):
You're the grand Senties. Take on movie, but man, I
hate take on me. If I could eradicated, it is
a one hit wonder though I don't like it, but
it is. Play that funky music, wa chair, Yeah, that
that's a great that's a great song. That's the juke
box at the we had won the cafeteria. Yeah, play
that funky music. That's when I love it. When I

(02:02:27):
found that forty five because it was sold out and
some records struggled to find it found And this is
one I find. Greg like humming down the hall. I
can hear him singing it. LIKENK six. I like that song.

Speaker 9 (02:02:40):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:02:40):
We had to go on here, So Speedie who played
play that funky music with band wal Cherry? That cup
you look at it? Huh No, I'm looking at you already.

Speaker 15 (02:02:49):
Look.

Speaker 2 (02:02:49):
I know it's time. I say. What about eight six,
seventy five, three or nine?

Speaker 5 (02:02:53):
That?

Speaker 2 (02:02:53):
That's another good one? Love it as was it? Tommy
had him in the studio, remember that? Is that why
you humme it all the time? I love that song? Yeah,
I ain't scared of it. Uh, love is not lonely?

Speaker 8 (02:03:08):
What about what about Smasha?

Speaker 2 (02:03:11):
Well? You talk about if you want to say, Greg,
what song do you hate? It makes you want to
like just dig a hole and bury yourself And it's
that from it. I don't want to Oh what.

Speaker 8 (02:03:25):
Was that guy the your yeah Beard? Oh yeah, James Blunt.

Speaker 2 (02:03:31):
James Blunt, Yeah, that was a bad one. That's another
what about aha, but I wouldn't give it much. Yeah,
that's a good one. That's how you know what. That's
a snappy song about camping. It is a good song.

Speaker 8 (02:03:46):
And it is this you speedy?

Speaker 15 (02:03:48):
Who is that?

Speaker 2 (02:03:49):
Who is not that much said? I hate all that stuff?
Check tick Terry and Jack Season and Son. Most depressing
song ever Seasons in the Son. I was just a
little boy who shouldn't have been said. I had loving parents.
I love my little baby brother. I had a tiny
little sister. I should have been fine. I loved our

(02:04:10):
little neighborhood. And then I found Terry Jacks The Sun.
It's just harm it's about somebody's friending. What about humble Womble?
I hate it that? Yeah, Oh that's terrible. I hate it.
What about the what is the Big Bad Boss Tones?

Speaker 13 (02:04:30):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (02:04:32):
Yeah? I called the Big Bad I'm sorry. I went
into ska music. That's what it is. I don't even
know what that is, but that's what their style was
that some Irish thing.

Speaker 8 (02:04:43):
No, no, no, it's like a punk meets like brass bands.

Speaker 2 (02:04:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:04:47):
Question here totally off the subject because I have one
in mind. If you could the either rocker, front man, woman, anything,
sitting right there in that on that mic right there,
alive or dead? Who would it be? You're interviewing him
right now, right there? Okay, I want to talk to
Bob Singer. I let you to say, Tom Petty. I

(02:05:10):
think I'd rather talk to Bob Singer.

Speaker 2 (02:05:12):
I'm afraid that Tom Petty would disappoint me and we
wouldn't get along, and he would say something I wouldn't like. Yeah,
I love his music. So no, Elvis, No, Michael Jackson.
It's been kind of cool. Now Elvis is probably Matt
Can I speak to him but before he was fat? Yeah? Yeah, anytime?
Can I talk to him in black leather back from
being in the military. Yeah, headphones on. He's sitting at
that comeback show right even you heard about it. You

(02:05:35):
know what, I probably probably, of all of them, I
probably would get along with Elvis the best. Yeah, as
far as we'd hit it off. Small town southern boy. Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 10 (02:05:45):
Will probably interview Cisco, ask him about the inspiration and
lasting effects of the Thong song.

Speaker 9 (02:05:50):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:05:52):
That's that's that's the in depth interview.

Speaker 8 (02:05:55):
We're already it's a cultural impact, right yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (02:05:59):
Right, Well we were just music prior of the show.
I thought Van Halen, you know that's a good one.

Speaker 8 (02:06:03):
Would that would be a great one.

Speaker 2 (02:06:05):
That's a good one. Yeah, yeah, I would talk to
David Lee Roth, but he's still alive, and I'd rather
wait till he would die and then I could bring
it back when he was good. You can bring him
back Gouse right now? That that deal in course, Greig
wants to, of course, interview Rupert Holmes. Absolutely, I won't
know about the pendiclouda song. You must say the other song?

(02:06:26):
You got this horrible? That's terrible. What is that other song?
I don't know, but there all right. I don't want
to come back and walk of one hit wonder I'm kidding.
Oh my goodness, But now you've got me thinking about
Tom Petty.

Speaker 7 (02:06:36):
Yeah, iPoint where Andy Andrews says that's going.

Speaker 2 (02:06:41):
To myself about no news or something. Yeah, I think
Bob Singer would just keep it real. I talk about
his relationship with the Eagles. We'd have to pull the
chair up higher. But what about Brent sitting there?

Speaker 8 (02:06:51):
Oh, that'd be good and dine back. Daryl'd sorry, this is.

Speaker 1 (02:06:57):
The Rick Burgess Show, I know, the most dangerous ten
minutes in radio on screen phone calls. Get him no

(02:07:19):
by dialing one eight eight eight six Big Fox.

Speaker 2 (02:07:24):
Here we go, America. It's unscreen phone calls time. It
is where we turn the show over to you. What
are we thinking? Can we screen on the fly? It's dangerous?
Do we crash every now and then trying to jump
this ramp?

Speaker 9 (02:07:41):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (02:07:42):
Yes, which kind of adds to the thrill you seek people,
you thrill seekers wanting us to uh bring an audience
on the show with nothing between us and them, no screener,
no filter, just just me screening on the fly lines
are available now while you're getting thank you ready, A
lot of you, including someone from Pennsylvania that was nearly

(02:08:03):
fired for laughing out loud at the show at work
with earbuds from Raycon in their ears. You know, the
active noise cancellation, multipoint connectivity have all made their way
to those everyday earbuds. The Classic about half the price
of the other audio premium brands. And then we get

(02:08:23):
you an additional twenty percent off by you going to
buy Raycon dot Com slash Big Vox by Raycon dot
Com slash Big Vox an additional twenty percent off also
don't forget their thirty day happiness guarantee. And also the
quality rivals any premium audio brand. But that price so

(02:08:45):
much better. That ergonomic, ergonomic design that fits it in
your ear to really good. All right, to the phones
we go. We're screening on the fly. Something weird happening
up here. All right, here we go, Rick Burgess show
unscreen phone calls, go ahead. Mhm are you mashing up
against the thing? And no, I don't think so. Rick

(02:09:07):
Burgess show unscreen phone calls, go ahead. Mhm mmm, I
think you was what you got. There's something there's Oh boy,
there's something going on with the phones. I noticed when
everybody started calling, it got weird, like this site over
here started first and then people would get down here,
and now these are coming back. Let me try Rick
Burgess show unscreen phone calls go ahead. No, no, there's

(02:09:31):
a problem. Oh no, no it's not this. Oh no,
this is working, so it's about it. I think this
could be a software problem. Rick, I'll fill until they
get on. They don't do that. Uh so I don't
know what's going on there. Calvin, Well, all right, we
go out there. Rick, I guess you got try it again. Later. Okay,

(02:09:52):
Then a couple of things that we have not touched
on today that I did mean to touch on. Of
course I had planned to do that right there. All right,
let me try one more time. Alright, let's see this.
All right, here we go. Rick Burgess Show, unscreen phone
calls go ahead. No, I'm still dead, dead in a wage.

(02:10:14):
Rick Burgess Show, unscreen phone calls go speeding. None of
it's working, and it's all on A two. I thought
it might be on the wrong side, but I can
hear something. It's not working. Hand on speedy is on
the software. We try to FI get the phones on

(02:10:39):
the shelf. Well, let's try that. Hello, there's some weird
feeling up here. Look up here. If you look at it,
why I tell you what? I tell you what. There's
some air and you go to B. You know, it's
like I was saying, let me try B. Yeah, let's
go to be. Why how do you go to be?

(02:11:00):
That would be here?

Speaker 16 (02:11:02):
Click?

Speaker 2 (02:11:03):
Right there? Are you sure that's right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (02:11:05):
Now right?

Speaker 2 (02:11:06):
Sure that that looks different because I say the name
coming now now we're gonna put this out here we go.
Rick Burgess Show, unscreen phone calls go ahead, Yeah, now
there's something because you can hear them a little bit,
but they're all messed up. Do you hear this?

Speaker 1 (02:11:24):
All right?

Speaker 2 (02:11:25):
Okay, Rick Burgess show unscreen phone calls, go ahead. Now
there's a real problem. So you hear that about Okay,
it's it's it's got to hear about.

Speaker 5 (02:11:38):
Do not do not.

Speaker 8 (02:11:40):
It wasn't funny the first time.

Speaker 2 (02:11:41):
Greg, I'm sure what? All right? So let's go over
something that are you going to be Greig? Let's go
over something less creepy? Michael Jackson?

Speaker 27 (02:11:47):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:11:48):
By wow? What was MJ doing back?

Speaker 5 (02:11:50):
Well?

Speaker 2 (02:11:51):
The accusers are back. Oh, the accusers are back, all
of the ones that appeared in that horrible yeah neverland. Yes,
there's a lot going on here. So we now know
that the two main people in this case, they're now
seeking a four hundred million dollar payoff. Wow over the allegations,

(02:12:14):
which we won't get into those because they're cd and horrible,
but you know what they're accusing Michael of doing. Now
they also have an issue going on because there's now
a related dispute with Jackson's daughter Paris about legal fees.
Apparently the estate is involved in at least five litigations

(02:12:40):
and arbitrations as we speak, five of them. So there's
legal fees involving a lot of legal fees. A lot
of people need to get paid, and so Paris has
deemed certain legal fees to be excessive and is asking
probably are and asking the court to limit the executor's
power to pay them. But the executors that are trying

(02:13:03):
to fight all these or said, wait a minute, if
you bog us down on this, we're going to lose
the ground that we have. You know, you can't just
stop the process. If you do this, it's gonna put
us all behind. Yeah, So they don't want her to
do this. I want to say this, and I think

(02:13:23):
that's important. Jackson was never convicted of a crime. His
companies continued to deny the allegations. But these people are
saying not only they were groomed and molested. I just
hate the thought of that, but that's what they're saying.
We don't like to think about this with anybody, but unfortunately,

(02:13:44):
people go through this and people do this. As horrible
as that thought is, but anyway, one of them has
said that Michael wanted him to testify on his behalf.
He said, I didn't want to and I remember one
of them testified, you know, on Michael's behalf. But he

(02:14:04):
then later says I was coursed, and that's him, And
he's saying, but the reason why I went ahead is
that I actually care very much about Michael. Yes, something
happened between us, as you just pointed out, Greg, Uh,
but I would my life's okay, I overcame it. I'm
not going to spend the rest of my life worrying

(02:14:26):
about it. But one of them was a choreographer, like
for I mean, pretty very successful. But and that may
be him. But but but unfortunately he did come back
and say my testimony of Michael's innocence was incorrect. I
was cohersed into doing that. Now, who wants hundred million? Uh?

(02:14:50):
These two guys and uh Wade Robson and James save Chuck. Okay,
so so there there, there won't four one hundred million.
So so you've got this going on, and then you've
got Paris. I guess she's in charge of whatever. She's
in charge of the state. The executors of the estate

(02:15:11):
are fighting five different legal battles right now, and she's
saying we're getting overcharged for legal fees and we gotta
have a break. That's kind of the update. Yeah, but
we do know now that the accusers on the Michael
Jackson molest station charges they want four hundred million, So
so there we are. I know, and I and I

(02:15:34):
hate when these updates come in because now it's weird,
you know about on the whole Michael Jackson thing.

Speaker 8 (02:15:41):
I feel weird at any time that Michael Jackson's song
is played. I don't, I don't. I don't listen to
Michael Jackson. I used to like Michael's. Yeah, I know,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (02:15:48):
Yeah, and I know that we're not even man in
the mirror.

Speaker 8 (02:15:52):
It's man, it's tough. I mean, I'll go back to
ABC when he was in the Jackson five, but after that,
I'm out.

Speaker 2 (02:15:58):
You know what I was going to ask you that
do you go back to when he was not capable
of doing any of that? And you can still listen
to some of that.

Speaker 10 (02:16:03):
I listened to ABC with my kids, but I just
I can't listen to the new stuff because there's just
too much there.

Speaker 8 (02:16:08):
It's too weird. Why is he always hanging around little boys?

Speaker 2 (02:16:11):
It's just too weird. A lot we said back when
these accusations came out regardless, we at least know that
what he was doing was inappropriate, no matter what was
going on.

Speaker 1 (02:16:21):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Strange and Cutters, the

(02:16:41):
new podcast from Rick Burgess. Get it no wherever you
get podcasts.

Speaker 2 (02:16:47):
Just seen episodes. It's great to hear from some of you.
There are now binging all fifteen episodes. There will not
be a new one this week, a pause on production
this week. We'll get a new one out again next week.
But it gives you an opportunity if you're behind to go.
Let me go catch up and work my way through
the episodes and be ready for the new one when
it comes out. So we had a successful unscreened phone

(02:17:11):
calls early in the show today which gave us a
false security that the phone system was healthy. But oh no,
but don't know, and I think it could be the
phone system saying look, guys, I know y'all think this
unscreen phone call thing is a good idea. The audience
seems to love it, but can they be trusted giving
you feedback like this. Maybe they love it because it

(02:17:32):
gets you in trouble and maybe it just needs to stop,
and maybe the system is trying to stop us, save
us from ourselves. Yeah, and we have.

Speaker 7 (02:17:40):
We're blessed man. We have the best engineers, Tom Scott,
Brett Glover, all those guys, they're on it. They actually
heard it, which makes me nervous.

Speaker 2 (02:17:48):
It also makes me feel good that they listened to
the show, because I've actually talked to some people in
the company and I don't think a lot of them
listen to us. No, No, And Tom is on there,
I know he never listens. Does he not? Hate that?

Speaker 7 (02:18:03):
But Bratt's almost here, so they're good. They probably want
us to wait, but I would just love to see
if they work right now all right here, I mean
I screened one, but but that doesn't count.

Speaker 2 (02:18:14):
I won't tell you anything. Okay, that's what we got
to know. Is doesn't sound like it? Yeah, Rick Bird
just showing screen phone calls. No, I'm sorry, Budd, I
think Adler's got the one. I screamed, Rick. Well that
then you're gonna have to screen them. No, just click
on it, I know, But I mean that's ship. I mean,

(02:18:34):
that's the way we're gonna have to do. What s say,
Kramit clown, did you just move on?

Speaker 7 (02:18:38):
Would you like to go on screen. I'd like for
you to answer that. So now but yeah, but now
you're gonna have to go. I say say hello, do
you see this?

Speaker 2 (02:18:45):
Don't accomplish anything for un screenphone, just.

Speaker 7 (02:18:47):
Say hello, hello, Okay, this in the in the process
of elimination.

Speaker 2 (02:18:52):
This, this helps us. Okay. So the one I screamed,
we can talk to right, see this helps engineers. Jim,
go ahead, I got on.

Speaker 5 (02:19:02):
I can't believe it.

Speaker 2 (02:19:05):
I go the next one. Are you just testing or
do you have something to say?

Speaker 15 (02:19:09):
No?

Speaker 5 (02:19:09):
I have two things I want to bring up real quick.
One is interesting and one's kind of funny. Have you
guys talked to him or heard of this guy named
Milo Yanopolis.

Speaker 2 (02:19:19):
Yes, oh, the one with the hamburger with the gravy
on it.

Speaker 5 (02:19:23):
No, No, kind of a he's like a Charlie Charlie
Kirk type, but he's from from Britain. From me.

Speaker 2 (02:19:31):
Some ride at some California college one time he was
speaking at.

Speaker 10 (02:19:34):
Yes, yes, he was like kind of banned from campuses.
It's odd because he's gay, but he's also a conservative.
It's it's he's an odd mix, odd guy.

Speaker 5 (02:19:43):
Right. So so he went into like a self imposed
retirement because he said Charlie kirk Kirk was killing it.
Nob I'll ever do it better. So after the uh
the thing happened with Charlie, after he was murdered, he
posted he came back to x for the first time
since he retired, and he posted a picture of himself
and it said you killed the NAS guy, now you
get me. And so apparently he's coming out of retirement

(02:20:04):
and going to begin again, and he's he's really kind
of he said some of the things that Republicans want
to say but don't because of civility, if that makes
any sense.

Speaker 2 (02:20:13):
Sure, yeah, so he'll say he says he's not civil
and for some reason, I mean, Ather thinks he's odd
because he's conservative and gay. Well you don't think there's
other gay conservative he.

Speaker 8 (02:20:22):
Said, he's it's he's he's got a way of saying stuff.
I'll tell you that.

Speaker 2 (02:20:26):
Okay. Yeah. So he's a little dicey and.

Speaker 8 (02:20:28):
Not a fan of the Catholic Church.

Speaker 10 (02:20:30):
Oh wow, that caused some real problems for him. Uh yeah,
back when he was active, and I guess he's back.
And then I know we had this on here on
the videos. Then I saw some of this who's this
cam Higbee guy?

Speaker 8 (02:20:42):
Yeah, it's another kind of Charlie Kirk.

Speaker 2 (02:20:44):
Are we're now going to have figure?

Speaker 16 (02:20:45):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (02:20:45):
Shouldn't Turning Point just continue to move on? Do we
need people to rise up and say they're going to
declare that they're the new Charlie Kirk? Shouldn't Turning Point
his legacy just continue through that organization that is organized
in doing a good job. Do we really need all
these pop up people just to go on campuses and
say I'm the next Charlie Kirk?

Speaker 12 (02:21:04):
Now?

Speaker 7 (02:21:04):
Is this the one at Tennessee Stadi? It didn't go well, hey,
this is ridiculous.

Speaker 12 (02:21:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:21:09):
Literally, all they did was set up a table and
they got mobbed and kicked off campus. They were still
in signs. Of course, the police just stood there and
let it happen.

Speaker 8 (02:21:18):
That was odd at least there while people were assaulting.

Speaker 7 (02:21:21):
And if they hadn't a left, I don't know what
would have happened. Yeah, I mean, but they were literally
escorted out of campus with this mob here.

Speaker 2 (02:21:29):
And guaranty the mob has no idea what their protest. No,
they don't, they have no idea. Well, like we say,
the biggest problem you run into when people are just
coming from emotion and they're doing what someone else told
them to do. Is and you've said it's happened so
many times. You go, okay, so no, explain to us
your accusation. Well, this this person is supporting a racist

(02:21:49):
and someone who was hateful, and you go, okay, so
give us the evidence that Charlie Kirk was racist and hateful.
And then they never can and they never It never works.
So anyway, if you're going to be a pop up, though,
you got to understand what you're getting yourself into. Uh,
they say as a host on Newsmax, I've never seen

(02:22:10):
him on there before. Also text Nation, Now this is
text Nation. This is not a story or a journalist.
It's just somebody texting do an update on my low.
They're saying that he has no longer claiming to be gay.
Oh really now that I do not know. I'm just
that's nothing. But he's ungain right, Well, Greg, some people
when they're redeemed and they get transformed, it's you know,

(02:22:32):
beck Beckett Cook, has I've seen this this testimony believe
because because you're led to believe, you're led to believe
by what I'm mean, Yeah, I know you did. You're
led to believe by the left though, to your point,
Greg that nobody you know that this is some special situations,
some special sin, some special sexual sin that is unredeemable.

(02:22:54):
People can't be changed, leave them along. This is who
they are, and then this is not And I know
this first thing. Then you produced examples of people who
were delivered from it, just like the adulter, just like
the fornicator. And they were delivered from it. And guess
what they say, I promise every time they really weren't gay.
I said, so they're fate gay. You know, they were

(02:23:14):
just every single time. Butterfield, I forget her. Is it
Rosetta Butterfield, who has the you know, the lesbian who
has the incredible testimony how she was delivered?

Speaker 5 (02:23:26):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (02:23:26):
And then of course that you know, oh no, well
you never, Beckett Cook, Oh never was. You know, there's
examples after examples, and where you're you're supposed to just
act like that don't exist. Yeah.

Speaker 18 (02:23:37):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:23:37):
So that way, when you say that anyone can be
transformed by Jesus, you know that God's standard is not
something that he called us to that was unattainable. It's
just unattainable for us without him, and then what you
hear though, once that happens and that's proven, Oh they
never really were. Yeah, I guess they were just pretending.
I mean they just you know, if you never were,

(02:23:59):
that'd be a tough one.

Speaker 10 (02:24:00):
Milo, like we mentioned, kind of dropped off, dropped out.
And I have not heard anything from him or anything
about him. But evidently because this was before COVID, he
was like a huge figure in media on podcasts showing Yeah, yeah,
I just got to read this really quick. But based
in twenty twenty one, Like I said, I haven't heard

(02:24:20):
from him since before COVID in twenty twenty one. Evidently
he's no longer gay, uh, And he has a renewed
commitment to Catholicism. So he was raised, he was raised
in the Catholic Church, heavily criticized the Catholic Church, and
now he's really, I guess, recommitted to it. In a
recent public forum here he said, it doesn't matter if

(02:24:43):
you agree with the literal truth of Christianity or not.
The founders did and they made a country for people
who did, which I agree with.

Speaker 2 (02:24:51):
He's in trouble. Yeah, well you've done it now he
done it and done it delivery.

Speaker 28 (02:24:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:24:58):
So you think they're pro tested in before? Oh yeah
yeah yeah uh.

Speaker 8 (02:25:02):
Ready, but that's that's this is him.

Speaker 2 (02:25:04):
So so did you scream some of the Yeah, I
just put them on hold to see if it works.
And what does the screening's fine? Does that help engineers?
I think so, because it's just to figure out what's
going on weird. It's not as dangerous as unscreen phone calls. No,
it's not.

Speaker 7 (02:25:18):
Well, I'm not screening him though, I'm just putting them
on hold. So really I haven't screened him.

Speaker 2 (02:25:21):
So it's kind of like the way we used to
screw when when Wendy go ahead when it got on hand.

Speaker 29 (02:25:26):
Hey Hello, Hey, hey, it's Wendy from Mobile. Yesterday you
were talking about Matthew McConaughey and the Queen size bed.
I'm going back several years when I was first married.
Oh boy, my husband liked me in the fourth grade.
We dated in high school, got married right out of
high school. When I would go with him to the
hunting camp, we both slept on a twin bed yeather

(02:25:51):
and this was before before kids. Yes, and we were
married thirty five years. He went on in in twenty ten,
fifty years ago, so this would have been our fiftieth
anniversary ballot. Yeah, we both slept on a.

Speaker 2 (02:26:06):
Twin bed and I noticed you said, I know, she said,
we didn't have any kids. But then I noticed after
after the twin bed, after the twin bed, Yeah, after
the twin bed, you did have kids. I'm putting those together.

Speaker 29 (02:26:17):
When now, yeah, yeah, good time.

Speaker 2 (02:26:24):
Uh, it's hard to you. It's getting some sleep.

Speaker 8 (02:26:27):
You know you're stacked up. You just I mean stacked up.

Speaker 13 (02:26:32):
Good night.

Speaker 2 (02:26:33):
Oh wait, man, my arm. Actually I've actually been on
mission trips before. When for sharing and me, that was
the only option. And if you don't like snuggling, that
ain't for you. You got be size laver for sure. Yeah,
and they were absolutely, we'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:26:49):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He will likely be
the new CEO of Cracker Barrow.

Speaker 2 (02:27:07):
Rick Burchess just another thing I can fix if somehow,
just so, I'm gonna just give me a green line.
We're here, let us have it all right, So we
are working our way to another show. We didn't have
phone issues on onscreen phone calls. It's almost like there's

(02:27:28):
an attempt to stop this segment on the show technically,
so we'll move on. Probably won't be able to get
another one of those in, but so we'll try to
get that fixed about tomorrow's show. A couple of things
out there. Hall of Fame nominees have been announced for
the NFL Hall of Fame. Drew Brees and Larry Fitzgerald

(02:27:50):
were picked in their first year of eligibility. Okay, I
can say that we agree with that. First year guys first,
I mean first vote. Yeah, Larry Fitzgerald, Oh yeah, good player.
But I'm we're talking about the Cardinals this whole time.
We don't we don't watch them much, but he was
really good. Disgusting. Are you weighing in on that? Okay,

(02:28:14):
going to weigh in. I was telling Speedy this morning.
It really makes you feel old. So they're being put
in the Hall of Fame, which happens, you know, a
good while after your career. And I remember when both
of them was playing college. Wow, college, Yes, it didn't
see that long ago? Uh to me, I thought Fitzgerald
was still playing. Yeah, when did he returning a while ago?

(02:28:36):
Did you know something that I did not know? I
was watching? I don't know where it came from, but
it came upon my phone. It was Cam Newton, uh,
and that he was talking about how the Panthers don't
really embrace him. Of course I wanted to say, well,
I mean, I don't know if anybody's going to embrace
you what I hat on? Thank you, Greg. But and

(02:28:58):
he said that one of the reasons they say that
they haven't done any sort of tribute to him on
the stadium, inside their fame whatever is. They keep saying, well,
you haven't You've never officially retired. Oh, and he said, well,
I'm I don't know why, but he says he's never
going to officially retire. I don't know. You know what's that?

(02:29:19):
He said, He didn't think he should have to officially retire.
Why would you not. Don't you need to officially retire
to start getting your pinion? You would think. I don't
know how that works. I'm thinking so yeah, But you know,
I do find that odd. He said. He was talking
about that. He had one of his kids with him
and they went to a Panthers thing. He was even
talking about trying to work with the Panthers to help

(02:29:40):
promote the team, and they went into the stadium and
he said that his son said, where's your picture? I
mean he took him to the Super Bowl and it
was within a few plays of winning the Super Bowl
or having a chance to win it, and there's nothing,
no recognition of him. And I would say as farsted

(02:30:00):
Carolina Panthers are concerned, I know, it wasn't a long career,
but he's probably one of their best known quarterbacks.

Speaker 8 (02:30:08):
Since it's longer than you think, guys.

Speaker 10 (02:30:10):
They have, Yeah, good since left twenty eleven. He started
at Carolina, played there till twenty nineteen. Oh in two
that year, twenty twenty, he played for New England.

Speaker 8 (02:30:22):
Y'all remember that.

Speaker 2 (02:30:22):
I do remember that. It was weird.

Speaker 8 (02:30:24):
Played for the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (02:30:25):
That was weird.

Speaker 8 (02:30:26):
Came back to Carolina.

Speaker 2 (02:30:27):
I don't remember that.

Speaker 8 (02:30:28):
Twenty twenty one and he was oh and five.

Speaker 2 (02:30:31):
I don't remember coming back to Carolina, do you No?
I remember impounding during the press conference at the Super Greg,
I knew you were going to say that, Well, I'm sorry, Yeah,
that was pretty bad.

Speaker 7 (02:30:42):
There were some other first years that are on. They
have been picked to be eligible. There's a process you
go through. I mean there's like the committee.

Speaker 2 (02:30:51):
We'll look at it.

Speaker 7 (02:30:51):
And drop it to fifty in October, then the full
fifty select committee will reduce it to twenty five, then
fifteen who will be voted on before the Super Bowl
in February. But Greg Olsen is the first time nominee.
Philip Rivers, Alex Smith, Jason Whitten, Frank Gore, Lashawn McCoy,

(02:31:12):
and the others. So they're not the only two, just
some of the big big named. Drew Brees and Larry were.

Speaker 2 (02:31:18):
Y'all a little surprised that the Buffalo Bills put Frank
Gored junior on the practice squaddy to make the team.
That's surprised you a little bit. He had an outstanding preseason,
but they didn't They didn't keep him, and then he
went away and the harding back as practice quad and
he took it. Yeah, it's pretty good little running back.
I think if I was another team, I think I
was taking a shot at him.

Speaker 8 (02:31:37):
Larry Fitzgerald retired in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (02:31:39):
All right, so this is coming in all over text nation.
Is this accurate? Everybody says that is straight up multiple texts.
Larry Fitzgerald as a wide receiver has more tackles than
drop passes. Yes, Wow, wow's pretty good.

Speaker 8 (02:31:54):
He's up there. He's one of the best.

Speaker 2 (02:31:56):
By the way, if you know this really flips a
switch with Adler. Is this one of your favorite players?

Speaker 8 (02:32:00):
Back back when I had a gambling problem, he was
on my fantasy I do remember that.

Speaker 2 (02:32:04):
Yeah, I do remember that.

Speaker 7 (02:32:06):
So I think it's kind of cool because not everybody
can say this, especially in a time with free agency
and getting to move around. But the fact that he
was able to spend his entire career with the Targells
had to be kind of neat.

Speaker 2 (02:32:17):
Because it was very rare.

Speaker 7 (02:32:18):
He had one four hundred and thirty two catches seventeen thousand,
four hundred ninety two yards receiving in seventeen seasons and
raked second all time behind Jared And they.

Speaker 2 (02:32:29):
Did again, correct my memory, they played in the Super
Bowl that just got beat correct in a good in
a close, great game. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (02:32:36):
He has around twenty nine drops and he has around
forty tackles. Wow, that's more of the tackles than.

Speaker 2 (02:32:45):
I always wish to. He would have had a cooler helmet. Yeah,
he's one of the first ones went to. I didn't
care for his helmet. Yeah, that I that. I'm helmet sensitive. Yeah,
I get that. Nowadays there are some really weird looking ones. Yeah,
but great play.

Speaker 8 (02:32:57):
What was wrong with his helmet? I thought it looked weird,
just the way that the helmet sat on his head.

Speaker 2 (02:33:02):
Yeah, and he's got those dreads and it's set up
a little high. Yeah, like homes homes is right.

Speaker 7 (02:33:07):
Oh yeah, I think that these guys are all Hall
of Famers for sure. You just wonder if they'll make
it first year, the first when they're eligible.

Speaker 2 (02:33:15):
Yeah, yeah, we'll see. So there you go. They're not
officially yet, no, correct, they're just it. They're they're up
for consideration. Correct for the first.

Speaker 7 (02:33:24):
Yeah, yeah, they're they're eligible and so and they've been
they've been picked to be eligible as a nominee.

Speaker 10 (02:33:33):
You know, I've really noticed that the word retire leaves
a bad taste in some of these players' mouths. These
these guys are just crazy freak athletes, elite of the elite.

Speaker 8 (02:33:42):
Cam Newton, he says he didn't want he doesn't want
to retire because I lost it just now.

Speaker 2 (02:33:48):
Sorry.

Speaker 10 (02:33:48):
But same with Larry Fitzgerald. He didn't want to retire.
He didn't want to say I'm retiring, I'm too young
to retire. I'm not retired. I'm just turning the page.
This is a new chapter. The book's not over. I'm
still writing the book. Kind of mentality camera.

Speaker 2 (02:34:02):
Just take what about the pension? Can you get your
pension without officially retiring?

Speaker 8 (02:34:07):
Good question?

Speaker 2 (02:34:08):
You are do you paperwork retire? You just won't ever
say that.

Speaker 13 (02:34:10):
Liked That's what I got you.

Speaker 2 (02:34:15):
Yeah, but but I totally agree with them. But it's
okay to say I'm retiring from football. I'm not retiring
and going off to sit down and do nothing. Now
I go to the next Well what's the next thing?

Speaker 8 (02:34:30):
I podcast podcasting.

Speaker 2 (02:34:32):
But as far as the concept of I'm retiring and
I'm not working at all and I'm just going home, No,
I don't want any part of that either. Now, if
you physically or mentally have to, that's different.

Speaker 7 (02:34:41):
But I mean I can make some great points on ESPN.
He I mean, he's like really bringing it. But it's
hard to pay attention to stare at his hat, right,
the hat that needs to go.

Speaker 16 (02:34:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:34:52):
I keep thinking that he's starring in the you know,
an updated version of The Whiz. I just it looks
like he was You don't come around here. No more
video by top Yeah see.

Speaker 16 (02:35:06):
Yeah? Is he?

Speaker 2 (02:35:07):
Is he some form of the the Mad Hatter is?
It's not bizarre? Ye get that when he wears the
hat less his hair stick out of the top of
talk about like a plant, like something's escaping from the chimney. Yes,
I can't stand that player.

Speaker 10 (02:35:23):
NFL players don't have to stop playing to receive the pension.
They only need to meet certain criteria three seasons.

Speaker 18 (02:35:30):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (02:35:30):
They get a pension starting at fifty five, but they
can also access their NFL Player Annuity program around thirty five.

Speaker 2 (02:35:38):
Okay, there you go, there I go. All right, thank
you buddy, top of the hour. More of the show
coming up. Yeah, but yeah, but if you leave us,
don't we get the daily art give You'll get any

You better listen up. You know what we say, ass
I'm in an.

Speaker 16 (02:36:25):
You gotta find.

Speaker 1 (02:36:31):
The voice of reason in an unreasonable world. The Rick
Burgers Show.

Speaker 2 (02:36:37):
Here we go America. A brand new our is rolling
and we're glad you're here.

Speaker 5 (02:36:43):
The gang is all here.

Speaker 2 (02:36:44):
Speedy, Greg and Adler join us as we roll through
another one. You got a number of things to cover
this hour. We look forward to it and thank you
for taking time to be with us as an other
hour of the show is underway. From the textonation, I

(02:37:07):
realized unscreen phone calls, possibly stopped by God himself. We
don't know, but unscreen phone calls are not happening. I
wanted to get in, but no luck. I'm looking for
some advice here. I'm a huge Alabama fan, A row
a tade, of course, Alabama Georgia this weekend a biggie.
My lucky number is three is three. My wife, the Sweetheart,

(02:37:32):
has purchased me a Calvin Ridley jersey to wear on
game days. The problem is it feels weird to wear
another man's jersey. I think I would feel like Greg's
slow class girlfriend. I'll just tell you what it said,
like I was possibly running in the rain. Thoughts. Well,
I can't say anything because did you see the shirt

(02:37:55):
I had on Friday a week ago? I did that
solely because my wife wanted me to wear it and
it meant something to her. No way I would wear
that shirt of my own wheel to do it again
Friday and honor of the So my first thought is,
I hear you. I've always and I've done it before.

(02:38:16):
I've always thought it felt a little weird and looks
a little weird somewhat, especially when you get to the
point where you're no longer and I don't know, this
guy may be very athletic, but you've now officially become
somebody's dad, somebody's granddad, and you put on a jersey
of another player and walk it around like it looks

(02:38:36):
good on you. Yeah, and and and it and and
it rarely does. Now I've done it, so I'm not standing.
I probably wouldn't. I probably wouldn't do it anymore. Most
do it if they're going to a ball game or
if that game was to watch it at home with it.
And he is that helps babual to just wear them
part of their wardrobe right at a funeral. I thought,

(02:38:58):
maybe not appropriate, little much, and I've seen it, but
but I think in this case, even though wearing another
man's jersey is problematic, this is a gift from your
wife about your number, that you is your lucky number,
and being excited about game. Wear it on game. Yeah,

(02:39:18):
I think, I think. I think you go ahead and
wear it for no other reason than just to be
a good husband, Yeah, and say thank you. Of course
I haven't paid attention. But the real jerseys they wear now,
or when you don't have pads on, they look ridiculously,
look ridiculously, But so I guess in the souvenir world
though they still sell the old style thankfully. Yes, there's
different levels. Yeah, because then you get the players where

(02:39:41):
I mean when they're injured and there on the sidelines anyway,
and it's all watered down. You can buy those. That's
that's next level. You can buy those.

Speaker 7 (02:39:48):
Oh yeah, they they're available with their like you know,
player warn or what the players wear.

Speaker 2 (02:39:53):
That's that's the highest level. You have different tiers down
and that may be the highest level, but it looks
pretty bad. Yeah. You know what I say to these
modern jerseys, I'm glad I'm not not playing anymore because
it would have ruined prep Rawley day. You remember used
to us to come to school and you had your
jersey on, your girlfriend wore jersey, your girlfriend had your
girl jersey on, and it looked cool. But these things now,

(02:40:13):
if you're not in pads. They little reticulous. I know,
like you said, wadded up on your shoulder.

Speaker 10 (02:40:18):
You know, I feel like I don't know you got
you used to wear a jersey like almost every day
for a while.

Speaker 8 (02:40:27):
Correct, But you also have like historical ones like correct.

Speaker 10 (02:40:33):
Yeah, that to me feels much more normal than say,
I'm wearing a jersey of the guy that's on the
field right now.

Speaker 2 (02:40:39):
If you followed my jersey run, which apparently you did,
there was one instance that I regret that when we
work with the Titans, where I had on a jersey
of a current player. But if you look at the
rest of my history other than that mistake, you'll see
that I usually wore jersey with my own name on it.

(02:41:00):
Are a historic jersey of the great Babe Ruth, Because
you know, if you have a jersey, get an original jersey,
get your own number, get you put your own name
on the back. I prefer that overwearing a jersey like
y'all talking about a current player. Yeah, that feels a
little weird.

Speaker 10 (02:41:17):
Is and it's the only one I have. It's the
only auburn one I personally have. Is bo Jackson historical
enough for me to wear it? And be like I'm
wearing a historical.

Speaker 2 (02:41:27):
I think you and a Bo Jackson jersey is so funny.
I'll allow it, okay, And no, I do think he
is far enough going because he's a legend. Yes, Rick
and a little kid that's different now, a little kid
his favorite player. I think that's And I'll give you
a pass because y'all were in Nashville and Speedy's to
the stadium guy, your radio personalities involved in the game

(02:41:48):
day festivities. You were in a jersey. It's appropriate. In fact,
you're may be required to. But it probably would have
been cooler if my Titans jersey had had Burgess on
the back, not Dison. Well he did make them, he did.
Could be bloody miracle, you know what I mean. Now,
if we had a Burgess Titans jersey, now that's cool.
Now let me ask you this. If you watched highlights
from the eighties and how big the shoulder pads were

(02:42:10):
compared to Oh, it looks funny because now they've gone
through which I don't mind the ones I have now,
but I know how they turn their head. But those
we played, those giant shoulder pads. Oh, I've got a picture.
Adam May still habit. I have on the biggest shoulder pads.
I mean they're giants, are huge. Yeah. Have you ever
seen the thirty for thirty on Randy Moss and it
shows him playing in high school and he's got pads. Yeah,

(02:42:35):
but I and now I look when I when I
went to have I ever mentioned this. I don't even
know if I have that. I played a little ball
now all right, but I heard that when I went
to Troy. You know, they put me as a defensive lineman,
actually in smaller shoulder pads because they want me to
be able to get on that corner. Yeah, and they
were they were more rounded off. Yeah, and I remember
it felt weird. Yeah, yeah that now they were tiny

(02:42:59):
wearing pads. Yeah, we're gonna get down shorts on Rick.
Now we're a mid thigh. Yeah, these these short pants,
it looks absolutely ridiculous. Yeah it does. Yeah, And I
mean it looks like you're you have sliding shorts on
playing football. Yeah. I don't know why anybody would want that, look, Yeah,
I don't Yeah, those of you that want to play
football in shorts, it, I don't know why. It looks weird. Yeah,

(02:43:21):
this is this is a real game. We're not we're
not in warm ups. This is not the day before
the game, and we're doing run throughs, you know. And
it's his dad once said, everybody looks good and shoulder
patch and shorts. It's it's whether you can get out
there in the full gear and go. You remember how
he some of his just logic. Why would a kicker
ever kick without his helmet on? Ye?

Speaker 9 (02:43:43):
Him?

Speaker 2 (02:43:43):
Ut you remember him saying, in the game, you're gonna
have a helmet on, aren't you. Yeah, yeah, we'll kick
it with a helmet on. Yeah, and we never want
to see the started rick. Even on Thursdays when you
did walk through, we were in full paths. Well you
remember that happening because he tried to do shorts on
times and they got hurt, you know, in the Thursday practice,
and he said that's it. Yeah, but he did have
the point. Aren't we playing tomorrow night in full pains? Yes? Well,

(02:44:03):
then let's stay in full packs. Don't you snap in
full pads. Don't you have to throw the ball with
a helmet on in the game, catch it with the helmet?
Maybe we should do that, right, makes all I see it.
Aren't you gonna have to tackle in the game. Yeah, well,
let's tackle a little bit, right. So but the the

(02:44:26):
I think this guy who asked this though, if for
no other reason, just don't be mean about it. Since
you since your I've got it for you, she thought,
she was so excited about, You're not gonna stand out
like if you go, if you go down, everybody, every
man in there is gonna have somebody's durney. Right, And
I've noticed to you my favorite is I'm large. I've

(02:44:48):
got a jersey, struggling jersey and no way I'm comfortable. No,
I've got a jersey on, and I mean I'm large,
pretty large, and I stretched around stomach, hang out of
the bottom of a little bit and reach up. I
didn't got that spare tire. Oh yeah, but you know what,
I've got my jersey on, and if if I need
to get into the game, I will. Yeah. That's my
picture from when I was in college.

Speaker 10 (02:45:08):
That one.

Speaker 2 (02:45:09):
No, those aren't big shoulder pads. That's just big shoulders.
Oh yeah, yeah, that's when they got so much trouble.
We won't know if mine wanted to buy a few
of those prints, she looking, I'm really gonna buy these.
I didn't know you in tank tops, buddy, I did
not know that that was a picture. Like I said,
it was gonna be. By the way, if you have
the Troy Annual from nineteen eighty three eighty four, my
picture in the annual is me in and the old

(02:45:32):
men wife wife's pretty shirt. Yeah, even though it sounds
terrible when.

Speaker 8 (02:45:36):
We call it, yeah, just accurate, but it sounds bad.

Speaker 2 (02:45:39):
I didn't know that was our picture. I didn't know that.
You know it's going on. I didn't know that we
were getting our college pictures, mate. Yeah, well you did
not know that. So my college picture everybody else knew.
But I have granddaddy's tanked up undershirt. That was her statement.
So he thinks I won't buy.

Speaker 10 (02:45:54):
They please look at the guy next to him has
a nice caller on ye yeah, Rick and in Jersey, I.

Speaker 2 (02:45:59):
Didn't know that.

Speaker 7 (02:46:00):
I've always asked my sons that when they forget something.
But everybody else was ready. I'm like, so you missed.

Speaker 2 (02:46:05):
I wasn't paying attention. Everybody seemed to, but you didn't
know about this. I was in that line. Okay, look,
I'm gonna send you this one. Walk that out. Yeah, Adam,
how would you not Adam, I'm going to send you
this one text. Please look at the size of these
shoulder pads. Oh yeah, this is this one is like

(02:46:27):
these were the showder pads that were very common. It's
not like everybody, especially in line. It's not like I
had super big, you know, shoulder pads, unlike everybody else.
This is what everybody wore. And of course our jerseys
we had to tuck them in. Yeah, okay, we're big
enough to be tucked in. Of course. Now they don't
tuck in right, just the way they long enough to

(02:46:48):
even tuck in anymore.

Speaker 7 (02:46:49):
You Yeah, you can pull them down, but they don't
tuck them in.

Speaker 8 (02:46:52):
You sent it to my phone, rick Why did you
do that? I mean, you've been doing that for twenty years.
I don't It's totally fine. Uh here, I can zooming out.

Speaker 2 (02:47:00):
Like you're just showing that right there we go. Yeah,
so when you see the size of it, just like
it's on his phone and you'll get the feel of it.

Speaker 9 (02:47:09):
There it is.

Speaker 2 (02:47:11):
Yeah. So so look look at how big those shoulder
pads are. And now that that looks weird, yeah it would,
all right, So we'll be back.

Speaker 10 (02:47:21):
Here's another shot, Ricky seventy five.

Speaker 2 (02:47:25):
Oh yeah, I like that one. See look how big
those shouder pads are. They're gigantic. You did have that picture? Okay,
I'm a praid you didn't have that one. All right,
we'll be back. We got more to do, we'll unpack it.
Go ahead and wear the jersey and your wife catching.
We'll be right back. Stick up.

Speaker 1 (02:47:45):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Sure he played a
little ball.

Speaker 2 (02:48:05):
Rick Birches, thanks for being with us America. Thanks a lot.
Are you out there and you are somebody you love?
You've got to potentially hazard this situation with the traditional
step in tub. Look at that picture of Aba. You
know if you are worried about that for yourself or

(02:48:27):
for someone else. Now you can't even I mean how
you can't even have a bathtub without it being something tacherous.
Maybe you would just say, look, I enjoy this now,
I don't feel like I have access. I'm taking showers now,
I miss being able to get in a nice, warm bath.
And well, why don't you have the folks at Safe
step walk in Tubs come in and resolve that situation.

(02:48:48):
And they're really nice, I mean you'll love them. They
can transform any bathroom into a place of relaxation, therapeutic benefit,
and just enjoying yourself up in a tub again. So
why don't you get with them. We're gonna get you
sixteen hundred dollars off, how about that and a free
shower package. She'll be sure you mentioned us when you

(02:49:10):
call one eight hundred ninety five six twelve twenty. You
can also find that number Rick Burgess Show dot com
under sponsors and let them come out. They're wonderful people
out of Tennessee and in most cases, in most cases
they can do the work in the same day. So
and also we're going to save you some money, So
why don't you get this resolved with safe step walk

(02:49:32):
in tubs. And they have rave reviews from people who've
dealt with them. So this story I've been looking at
all day long on the show. By the way, I
think super Time in the Gang have fixed the phone,
so we will probably get another unscreened in since we've
only got one end today before we're done. So know
that I've been looking at this story. I see Adlers
had a video about it. White House Unveil's Presidential Walk

(02:49:55):
of Fame. God, it's funny and former President Joe Biden's
portrait has been replaced by the image of an auto pen.

Speaker 7 (02:50:07):
Guys, Okay, you understand this is real, this Hall of
Fame of president Yes, yes, yes, it's real. And to me,
they were they work the line. You know, there's Reagan
and h W I mean h Bush excuse me, and
then it kind of runs the line. You see Clinton
and w and Obama and then all of a sudden

(02:50:27):
it gets to Trump and then it gets to auto
pen and Trump again.

Speaker 2 (02:50:31):
No, it is a way, yes, way, yes, way.

Speaker 8 (02:50:34):
And here's Fox News. Is Brett Bear reading this in
a serious tone.

Speaker 24 (02:50:38):
Says, unveiling a presidential Walk of Fame featuring portraits of
US presidents with the exception of former President Joe Biden.
The new display just outside the Oval Office along the
colonnade there shows a framed photo of an auto pen
right in Biden's signature in place of the former president.

Speaker 8 (02:51:00):
Real, just real, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:51:02):
So that's that's not a story to play a long.

Speaker 8 (02:51:08):
Yeah, this is clearly in the White House.

Speaker 9 (02:51:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:51:10):
Yeah, it's a lot a lot of frames here. Oh gosh, now,
I bet well we already know this has happened because
I see this story guys, and how many of you.
You're probably like me, you wait around every day. And
the thing you want to know, what does Whoopy Goldberg
have to say about all this? We need to know
what does Whoopee have? Whoopy? Please, because I take all

(02:51:35):
my instruction and I think we should base policy on
a person who lets everyone call her whoopie whoopee. Okay,
so what does whoopee think? Whoopy Goldberg is suggestion. It's
suggesting it may be time to invote the twenty fifth Amendment.
Here they go again against Trump. Trump has to go.

(02:51:55):
It's too volatile. Look at the society now. It's kind
of hard to follow this because I'm not saying that
it will always be this way, but you can't really
argue that right now. The danger seems to come from
not Donald Trump, but the left's reaction to Donald Trump,

(02:52:19):
and not just Donald Trump, but the church apparently communicating
ideas on college campuses. God forbid that that take place.
So I'm not sure. So Whoope's answer to the state
we're in as a society is to remove Donald Trump
because he's the source. She said it may be time

(02:52:43):
because I'm always waiting around, not just what the view
has to say. Now, I would like to know how
Joy feels, but I want to know how Whoopy feels.
It's time to consider the twenty fifth Amendment because after
he the way he behaved at the United Nations General
Assembly on Tuesday.

Speaker 7 (02:53:05):
Escalate her and you know, sometimes the hardest thing to
hear is the truth, and he was honest and truthful
to the UN Assembly. He called the Mayor of London out,
how she's wrecking the city UK, what they're doing. I think,
did did I see the Mayor of and here I go.
I'm not sure the Mayor of London or something. I
want to recognize Sharia law or something to that effect.

(02:53:29):
I think that's one of the things he called her out.
A yeah, it's it's insane.

Speaker 8 (02:53:34):
He did say that. Here's the clip. It's kind of long.
I don't know if that's something you guys want.

Speaker 2 (02:53:39):
No, But she's standing right, she's sitting right there looking
at it.

Speaker 8 (02:53:41):
Yeah, she's there.

Speaker 2 (02:53:42):
She is listening when it's her, that's her.

Speaker 30 (02:53:44):
Look at London where you have a terrible mayor, terrible
terrible mayor. It's been so changed, so changed.

Speaker 2 (02:53:52):
I thought that was a dude. Now they want to
go to but maybe not. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know,
but you're in a different country. You can't do that.

Speaker 30 (02:54:00):
Both the immigration and their suicidal energy ideas will be
the death of Western Europe. If something is not done immediately,
they cannot this cannot be sustained.

Speaker 7 (02:54:12):
Yeah, I think you're right. Maybe they were just showing somebody.
I guess it is a guy.

Speaker 2 (02:54:15):
I don't know, but he was just calling the mayor
of London out about so that he pulls an addler
when he's being serious. He says everything twice. He doesn't
go very presidential. Whoope says that he's showing a lack
of confidence and if it was Biden that we'd all
be demanding for the twenty fifth amendment. Yeah, now we
let him slide on that way before. It should have
been a fok on him here. Somebody said, well that's

(02:54:39):
what you get for shutting down his teleprompter. Now he's riffing. No,
see's you may not like what he's communicating, but he
is communicating. He's not up there out of his mind,
so a little bit different. There will strip it, thank you,
We'll be right back.

Speaker 1 (02:54:56):

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
