I told him. I did say that yesterday. I said,
don I don't think I've ever heard a complain about
the jumbos. I think, well, if there was one we'd
hear from, we would hear it. Yeah, yeah, that's true

But I was talking to some of the guys, and
you know, the beautiful thing about the men who actually
attend in the room on the Wednesday Bible study and
and some men come in they'll be in Birmingham from
another market and they'll come sit in. But the guys
that are here every week, you know a lot of
them are retired in different stages. So they were all
standing around talking about how much they were enjoying the beach.

So if you can ever find a way to get
to the beach in the fall, it's beautiful. I mean,
the humidity is gone, the beauty is there. It's cool,
it's not overwhelming. But I asked them, I said, now
hear that as far as the Gulf of America is concerned,
there really is getting to the point there isn't much

of an off season anymore. And they all said, we
remember going before fall break was a thing, and then
after fall break is a thing, and it's a different experience. Yeah,
a lot more crowded. Never that a year you weren't
at the beach. We never experienced fall break. Now my
kids did, but we didn't in school. And so and

if you play ball or yeah, band or support your
leaders or whatever, you play that way, that's right.

Yeah, well, if you're playing ball, you ain't going at
all because you got practice that right. Well, I remember you.
It's always our problem.

I remember having one playing on and then the others
that were too young to play. And I can remember
one time we went to the game on Friday night
and left on Saturday and went down to the beach,
you know through Monday. Okay, you know, because they're putting
on the other end. So so I've done that before.

If you've got a kid involved in football, fall break
does mean neything. No, it does not.

I did email a little bit with one of our
listeners that was trying to get down to the beach said, Hey,
I experienced sixty five south trying to get through Birmingham
and south of Birmingham. They are trying to do some
work on the interstate. For those of you that do
not know, it runs north and south.

So if you're coming from Nashville to north and you're
trying to get down to the beaches of Alabama or
somewhere around the Panhandle, you're going to experience sixty five.

And they were like, hey, was not ready for that.
Took us a minute. Yeah, I'm trying to snail's pace.
Apparently everybody else was trying to get down there too.

Yeah, I try. I'm trying to find it. Somebody sent
me an email and I forget how far north they were.
I want to say they were from Nashville, that they
were from Tennessee, Okay, And they said that it took
them to get to Gulf Shores okay from Tennessee twelve hours.

It's ridiculous, man, because.

Of ill they hit. It really was when they hit
the sixty five. Some of you that are coming from
up north, I want you to know, when you get
to Birmingham, you think you're okay, No, and you're not.

And when sixty five out of Birmingham, pretty much, Wow,
beyond Montgomery, you're you're you're in a bond. Is definitely
to Montgomery. Oh yeah, you're in a bond and you're
gonna sit and it's terrible, and they're trying to eight,
trying to do something.

Got an you got too few lanes and too much demand,
and so they're working on it. But then the construction
itself's going to cost time.

Of Alabama I've never been in before because I do whatever,
I cannot get on that interstate sometimes, and it's taken
me through some beautiful farmlands and barns and rural areas
that I never even had been in.

I went to the farm Monday, and our farm is
sixty five south out of Birmingham, and of course our
studio is over, you know, really closer to what runs
parallel with it. It's a highway called two eighty and
it can be a party too, but it can, but
it's a different animal where we are down and speed.

Looked it told me to go the normal way sixty
five would be an hour and fifteen minutes and to
go completely out of the way would be fifty minutes.
So I went completely out of the way and.

The best to go to Atlanta and then take you.

I almost went to Atlanta enough, I like you. I
just went down the other way and just went out
in the middle of nowhere, had no idea where I.

I mean it's if you're wanting to go sixty five
south from Birmingham to anywhere, you have to be totally
committed and your mindset and coming back can burn you
too trying to go north coming back. But you can
always tell when when it's fall, break or it's whatever,
because sixty five will tell you. And let me tell

you where y'all killing this. And I understand why you
did it, because you don't want you want to don't
want to have such a everybody kind of just in
one big mob.

good because it spreads it out. But it also makes
those of us who need to use six five it
makes our life more miserable because you now stretched over multiple.

you got to when they told me it took me
twelve hours. Jolly, I can't. I mean, you realize how
many places you could have gone in our country if
you were willing to ride for twelve hours.

If it's not, I mean, you can almost go to
New York and almost fly on the other side of
the world. Wait, howbut you can't get to New York
