How many people listen to this show while working out
all trying to do a little bit better? Hey tell Greg,
I'm a climbing man. I'm out climbing this morning. Got
his climber out, got his climber Greg's bringing his issue.
We'll get down there this weekend. Look around a little bit.
I saw the spot you're going to. Oh yeah, I
(02:06):
told you. I keep talking about it. It's so so uh.
We can't go much further without a moment of silence.
For as Freely Ack went on in seventy four, he
was my favorite out of Kiss when I was a kid. Yep,
so same. I remember this happens a lot, this reference
Greg the Bull Osen again there is we love Greg
(02:27):
the Bull Ocean God rest is so I know a
great friend, and I remember as a kid he had
an older sister who was into really good music. He
would be thankful for her. She introduced, introduced us a
lot of great music, a lot of great music. Well,
he stole her Kiss Alive album, brought it to the
house and we put it on, and I was just
I couldn't like, say, you think at that age you
(02:48):
can't get no better than in it. I'm going to
go a step further with Greg the Bull Osen's sister
when she painted herself as age Freely for Halloween one year.
Oh yeah, do you remember that? Yeah, the way her
hair was, she looked like a lot like you did.
I forgot about that, right, So I'll go further.
Speaker 9 (03:05):
But uh, yeah, the stage presence on that album is phenomenal.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Oh yeah, Oh, if you're.
Speaker 9 (03:14):
Not ready for a rock and roll party, I don't
know who's ready for rock and roll party like this guy.
You know, it's crazy.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
I don't want to hear the people over here. I mean so,
I mean.
Speaker 9 (03:26):
The anter is amazing.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
Sure, it's uh, well, let's hear it for doctor Love
come on. But but yeah, but anyway and speedy, I'll
do it. Uh, there's only one person on this show
they can say I've been on stage with Kiss and
I have spoken to Ash Frhylli's microphone bows with him.
(03:51):
You actually bumped up against sadly sadly rap before security
drug himall.
Speaker 10 (03:56):
Sadly, I wasn't invited on stat That makes it a
little different.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
And you left with four guys like one had each
arm and leg and threw you off the Yeah, but
but you also broke free and made a second run.
Remember that they were taking him. That was my favorite
way we got you. He takes it, it gets nearly off,
takes a second run back. Well, I was just letting
them know the only reason I'm leaving is because I'm
(04:21):
going to leave. Yes, you can't pull me off. And
by the way, your shirt his shirt pulling the curtain
back intended on this one, pulling the curtain back. The
security team they were somewhat having fun, and they took
Speedy away the first time. Him breaking away and going
back really upset them.
Speaker 10 (04:38):
Oh yeah, they they were very upset because I knew
them because they had worked events. Oh yeah, they were mad.
He broke their trust. Why how would you? Why would
you do this to us? This is making us look bad.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
You broke their trust.
Speaker 10 (04:53):
And but I mean they I didn't know that. That's
who was in charge the idea. I didn't even know
I was doing it till all of a sudden, I
just decided I'm going to go do this. And I
didn't even tell y'all. No, if you remember, I didn't
tell you, didn't tell anything. I remember, I actually made icon.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Got me a pick. Yeah, somehow in the middle of
all that, well it goes back to this.
Speaker 9 (05:16):
It was Craig, how long did you keep that pick?
I need to know, like a day you.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Got it somewhere. No, I don't know where I got it.
I got it somewhere. Okay, so let's take one and
me will come across it one day and go there
it is.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
In case you're new to this story, this goes all
the way back, way back in the Rick and Bubba
days and kiss had you know, gone through all their
different stages, and they decided that they would do for
the first time ever since they broke up, they would
do original members, back to the original makeup, and they
(05:54):
would go on tour. And we were like, well, we
have to be there for that, and so we went
to that concert. Shirt when it came through Birmingham and
speedy you were not married to Terry yet, right, we
arender stating, Yeah, yeah, Terry was there. She was. She
still brings up. I remember looking at her when you
got yanked off and we were thinking, it's in jail.
(06:15):
I don't wear now, I'm gonna take it. Look, you
were standing beside me in a ripped up shirt. I'm
gonna I'm gonna you made it even better. I'm gonna
go this far. I'm gonna really add some stuff. I'm
going further. I'm pretty sure if I have this right,
and I think I do that. Terry Wilburn had on
a zebra cowboy hat that she would then loan to
(06:36):
Greg after y'all were married, and he would wear it
on the stage. I think you she inspired it, okay,
because you know her head in my hand a huge
I wondered about that, I do, how did you end
up with the same cowboy hat.
Speaker 11 (06:51):
She had.
Speaker 9 (06:53):
Right a big hand?
Speaker 4 (06:55):
I know, I'm joking. So you saw her zebra cowboy
had and thought, hey, that look that's kind of cool. Okay,
so she inspired it? Yeah, that's that's as funny. Well, yeah,
so anyway, I need to find out where that is.
So Speedy is uh? I think we're all about what
would you say, eight rows back from the stage five
to eight five days?
Speaker 10 (07:15):
We're pretty colo ten there and light from the stage
is kind of lighting our face.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Oh yeah, a little bit were that we can fill
the heat on the fire. Me and you made eye contact.
That's how. Yeah. And so Speedy leaves our group because
we were where do you think I'm going? Do we
work so many going to the bathroom or the bathroom
something or maybe it's another.
Speaker 9 (07:34):
Direct, but anyway, the maybe something right.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
Maybe maybe took concessions, but anyway, the I just remember
looking up on the stage and could not believe what
I was seeing. And I can still remember it. Ace
Freely had some sort of straw and in like a
water bottle kind of thing that he was getting to
pop off of because I could see his lips stick
(08:00):
on it, you know, because it was easier for him
to drink that way with the guitar to get him.
And for some reason I just remember that. And he
backed away from his microphone and kind of did a
little yeah and you like with like a kick, like
not really bad, just like goofing off, goofing off. And
I don't think he cared, And no he didn't. And
Speedy took his moc and and began to say, I
(08:24):
got I don't forget. Not only did you get on
the stage, you actually spoke through the Uh yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 10 (08:32):
As matter of fact, I looked downstage and there stood
there stood Gene everybody what you're scared looking?
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I'm sorry. Somebody said they were at that same concert
there on Roe fourteen. Oh many, Ricky uh just got
out of the way. Yeah. Now let me just tell
you this too. That stage is it had some hyke too.
(09:01):
Oh yeah, I thought I was just gonna go you know,
sometimes you'll just like jump up on the back of
something and you.
Speaker 10 (09:07):
Kind of power for yourself. So you had and when
I went and I and I went to jump, I
realized that it's shoulder.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
It's way on up and there were some speakers or
something behind the stage and I was able to get
on one and kind of push myself on steroids. And
so you were real strong. Yeah, I was never I've
never been on steroids grad And as I was, as
I was pushing myself up, security was grabbing my left
(09:37):
leg and trying to pull me down, and you broke
for it and I broke free and it was too late.
Then yards after contact he did really well. Ye yeah,
so uh so it's it's a iconic moment involving Ace Freely. Yeah,
it's now going on in Yeah, it's seventy four. A
(09:57):
Speedy actually shared a microphone. They sureed, you're talking about
Paul Daniel Now you googled that. Yeah, I know Paul.
You know, I've been on.
Speaker 7 (10:11):
Days.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
He is the Rick Burgers Show, the hardest working men
in the business, The Rick Burger Show.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
So we come back, and it is true that Ah
Freely has gone on in at the age of seventy four.
I will give you a little background, Greg, and you're
gonna love this, and of course speed you already know
all this. But so the song New York Groove, now
that's just strictly the solo stuff from Ace Freely when
(10:56):
I forget if you know kiss and most of you do.
They weren't broke up up, but they just from a
marketing standpoint. So we're all four because they tried to
market themselves. It's four individuals. Interviews with Gene kind of
like the Beatles, is what he was thinking, and so
they all put out albums. Ace is on the one
had a hit. Right now. I remember when all those
albums came out, you had to go to Newsom's. They
(11:16):
were released the same day, all for at the Quintarden mall,
and there their pictures were four separate albums, four solos.
But the band, like Greg said at that time, was
not broke up. They did that as a marketing plan.
Well forever I thought that Ace Freely Fully did New
York Groove on his own. He wrote it. I thought so.
Actually it was written by Russ Ballard and Greg. Here's
what your look or Speedy you already know exactly wrote
(11:38):
it over. Russ Ballard actually came onto the music scene
as the guitarist for Argent Hold your head up and
so he so he wrote he went to New York.
He's English, and as he was on the plane seeing
the skylight of New York, he wrote New York Greve
that that that phrase. So then he had a buddy,
(12:00):
had a glam band called Hello, and he said, these
guys are young, I mean real young.
Speaker 11 (12:05):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
And he's like, they I need a hit. If you
got something that would be a hit for them, and
he gave them New York groove. So Ace Freely heard
the glam band They and they looked a little bit
like Kiss, because you know how those glam bands looked
in those in those days. And and he he liked
that song, and so that became. He put it on
(12:28):
his album and it was a hit. So it was
Rush Ballard wrote it from Argent Hello, the glam band
of the seventies, performed it and released it, and it
was a hit for them, which I don't remember too young.
And Ace Freely took it, of course and made it.
He's on and think out of the four none of
them had a hit except him. On the solo Now, yeah, that's.
Speaker 9 (12:49):
Now I'm seeing here. I'm trying to look for the
New York Groove album cover and am I correcting that
it had he So they wore the makeup on those projects.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Yeah, they were all solo projects, still in makeup, was
still together. They were released on the same day, all
four of them.
Speaker 9 (13:08):
Wow, that's some pressure.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Yeah, and that's that's what the album covering and so
all the band members had had different colored covers based
on their character, but they all looked like that with
their faces on them.
Speaker 9 (13:18):
Wow, makeup and everything.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
You know, Ace, I would love to know that the idea,
you know, he invented space that spaceman look or whatever,
and I would love to know. I know Gene was
going for scary, yeah, and he.
Speaker 10 (13:32):
Was kind of how everybody came up with their own look,
their makeup, you know, if it was did did the
PR team help them? Did they come up with it
and sit around and go, now that looks good?
Speaker 4 (13:43):
I like that came from books I've read, and I've
read a few of them. Yeah, they just developed them
because at first Paul had this different one and let's
just call it Paul's was not enough. I mean, it
was just one star of his you could tell what
he looked like the others, you mean the big mystery
was they weren't seen in public without their makeup.
Speaker 11 (14:00):
That.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Yeah, of course I loved Peter Chris. He was my
favorite because him and as from my favorite. Yeah, and
I like I like that, and I thought they should
let Peter Chris sing Moore.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
There it is.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
He was my Yeah, I like his voice on the street.
Speaker 11 (14:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
See, people think bath but don't forget about that. I
don't forget about hard luck woman. Yeah. Look when Peter
Chris comes in on Black Diamond, it makes it. Oh yeah,
that's great song. Did y'all get Freely comments much? They
had that one rock soldier song. No not, I didn't
give it anything.
Speaker 9 (14:30):
My favorite was the Fox. No, he replaced Peter and
I'm kidding.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
I don't even get me started about that. When I
went to the concert, thought Ace was still in the band.
There was no social media, right, it was bad enough.
They were playing till a half. It was it was
Vinnie Who was Vinnie? Vince? Yeah? Is really?
Speaker 12 (14:49):
So?
Speaker 4 (14:50):
Who are all the different guitarist SPEEDYO?
Speaker 10 (14:53):
You got Vinnie, Bruce and Tommy. I think I think, yeah,
I think so.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
So how did he We didn't talk.
Speaker 10 (15:00):
He was in the studio last month and fell and
and uh it created brain bleed and he is was
actually on life support, uh and and in and out,
and that's eventually you know, we know and I personally,
I mean obviously y'all do too, Yes, wow, very closely.
(15:23):
But I know a number of people where that's eventually
what got their parents is a fall.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
And the brain bleed. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe we
can research this, but I do know this too. I mean,
any fall can cause that. But if you're someone who
is on blood thinners, yeah, and you know, I don't know.
Maybe I don't know if they ever had any heart
trouble or got put on blood thinners.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
I don't know either.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
But if you're on blood thinners, I mean, the protocol
is if if that person falls immediately, you've got to
get them help because uh they you know, people on
blood thinners, you know, bleeding out and bleeds are a
much different thing. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (15:59):
And they were hoping his his uh his condition would
have improved, but it didn't, and so he had to
you know, cancel the tour dates and all this kind
of stuff. And they just never recovered from it.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
So Ace Freely has gone at seventy four. Now do
y'all think? And Greg, you put this in the group
text yesterday because you know, you're just you're pleasant, I know.
But Gene and Jean, Paul and Ace, they didn't end
on good terms. But Jean's already come out and well
they're like, and there it is. That's what Greg said.
(16:32):
They've got out of it. He already has. His comments
are just nothing more love. Yeah. Well they did all
this together, is yeah, but didn't end well for him.
Well you remember, I mean Gene of course being the
probably one of the most brutal business people on the planet.
Extremely it's successful. Yeah, and you were about market a product.
(16:54):
Do you remember what he said? He said, Peter, Chris
and Ace Freely they wouldn't take the risk that Paul
and I took on the reunion. On the reunion and
he said that the options were, we don't know how
it's going to go, we all get a piece of
the action, or you can take a guaranteed salary, he said,
And Peter and Ace took the guaranteed salary, and he
said that was that was a safe decision. But it
(17:16):
was the wrong decision. Yeah, it was the number one
tour that Yeah, but that's what they agreed to. Yeah,
and they still got paid. Well I don't misunderstand me,
but they didn't get paid like Paul and Jan got
paid because that Paul and Jean had had all the action. Yeah,
all the merch, all the everything.
Speaker 11 (17:31):
You know.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
It's crazy looking back at Ace's life. You know, his
his his dad was a Dutch immigrant and his mom
was a German immigrant.
Speaker 9 (17:40):
And everybody knows that.
Speaker 10 (17:42):
And in nineteen sixty four for Christmas, he gets an
electric guitar and started playing you know, guitar at thirteen.
But that Christmas in nineteen sixty four just kind of
took him off. But it's crazy how things happen in
life where you know, it's a musical family. His family
loved music, so he was around it like the Adler's
kinda yeah, uh and uh. But it's crazy how it
(18:06):
starts then and then it ends with so I got
I got makeup on it, I'm a kiss.
Speaker 11 (18:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
Well, and they said a lot of times. I used
to think he was so folks might not know. I
used to think the way the way he played was
so cool. I only didn't find out later that he
was struggling with his balance in those big boots. Yeah,
and I thought it was a cool swaying that he
was doing. Cooley was looking at He's like, no, I'm
actually struggling with my balance. Yeah, it just kind of
became so cool. I just kind of made that my team.
(18:32):
But he said he's the one that had a big
role in this that basically all designed their own costumes,
came in with their own characters in, you know, and
the look so Ace freely went on.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
In this is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
So there's all kinds of choices out there. It seems
like there's a wireless company that pops up every other day,
so it can be a little confusing. But I want
you to know right now that Patriotmobile dot com slash
Rick is still the only company that can provide what
they provide. Okay, something happens, you know, every so often
(19:13):
that reminds us just how fragile our freedoms are. Can't
afford to take our rights for granted, got to draw
a line in the sand. So our friends at Patriot
Mobile have been doing that for about twelve years now,
maybe a little over twelve years. Truth is, there's only
one provider that boldly stands in the gap for Americans
who believe freedom's worth fighting for, and that's going to
be Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading the red economy,
(19:38):
they're also outpacing the competition in technology. Patriot Mobile is
one of the only carriers offering premium access to all
three major US networks now that gives you nationwide coverage
and service that you can count on. They also offer
unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet backup, and
(20:01):
much more. Switching never been easier. Activated minutes from your
home or your office. Keep your number, if you want
to keep your phone, if you want to are you
ken upgrade? Simple go to Patriotmobile dot com slash rick
are called nine seven to two Patriot and just use
the promo code Rick for a free month of service.
That's Patriotmobile dot com slash rick are called nine to
(20:24):
seven to two Patriot and make that switch Today.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Strange and Cutters the new podcast from Rick Birch's Get
It Now wherever you get podcasts Now.
Speaker 4 (20:47):
Another episode ready coming out this weekend. Episode eighteen of
Strange Encounters, We interview Brian mac lendon and he tells
us about his strange encounter and it's a doozy. Uh
(21:08):
So catch that coming out wherever you get podcasts this weekend.
Be sure you're following strange encounters. And then, you know,
I want to talk about something Speedy brought up involving
that with what's going on with baseball right now. I
didn't even know about this, Speedy, I didn't.
Speaker 13 (21:24):
You know.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
This seems like an odd time to bring this up,
but this is one of our great sponsors that help
people out coming off the whole ace freely thing. Safe
step walk in tubs, I mean there you are. I
mean well, I mean, I mean you can't ignore that
that falling can be very dangerous with people when you
reach a certain age, and and you may not be
(21:46):
as confident about the traditional step over tub anymore. Well
with step in us, I mean with step with safe
step walk in tubs, it is a walk in. You
just open the door, go right in. But I want
you to picture. You have no idea how far they've
come with these. They look great. They have all kinds
of amenities that go with them for you to relax
(22:08):
and rejuvenate, and we can get you sixteen hundred dollars off.
I mean that's that's not a small savings and also
a free shower package. Now there's no obligation to use them.
Why don't you just let them look at your space.
They can usually do the work in one day. Yeah,
so it's not overly invasive. So go to Rick Burgess
(22:30):
Show dot com. Under sponsors. There's the phone number are
called Safe Step Walk in Tubs at one eight hundred
nine five six twelve twenty. So we talked about Strange Encounters,
new episode coming out this weekend. So we're doing our
stuff that we do during the commercial breaks and getting
ready for the next segment. And I just hear Speedy
(22:53):
talking about baseball. So the Milwaukee Brewers they're still in it, right,
they're getting they're getting beat. Yeah, the Dodgers beat them again.
I think they're up. I think the Dodgers are up
three to zero. Yeah, but I mean the Brewers are playing.
They are, they sure are, which brought this up, which
I didn't know the Brewers were still playing. Yeah, and
so the Brewers and Dodgers are playing. And you said
(23:15):
that there is a hotel in Milwaukee r Yeah, oh yeah,
that that people think. But people are so certain it's
haunted that, Like players are talking about things that happened
to them when they've come to play the Brewers, if
they're if their teams stayed there. Yeah, and we even
have a player's wife that won't let her husband stay there. Yeah,
that's right. The Dodgers were in Milwaukee earlier in the week.
(23:38):
Now they're back in LA. But Mookie Betts, who plays
for the Dodgers, Uh, this isn't new. Anytime they come
to go to Milwaukee, he does not stay there. He
gets an airbnb. He does not stay there. And the
history of this hotel goes way back with with spooking
major League baseball players. I mean, uh, it's and help
(24:00):
me out here, Adler. Is it the feister Hotel? Or
I believe it's p F I S T E R.
Some some people are probably screaming at us here. I
think it's Feistra Hotel. It's one of mill it's one
of Milwaukee's signature spots. Matter of fact, Trump even stayed
there during the twenty twenty But it has a history
(24:22):
of messing with Major League Baseball players. Everybody that stays
there says they can't sleep good so you know that
they're doing it on purpose to make them have to
deal with it all.
Speaker 9 (24:31):
I'm tired.
Speaker 4 (24:32):
The next day. You got some some of the ones
that really stand out.
Speaker 9 (24:36):
It's actually it's I think it's actually fister, Fister.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Okay, okay, fister, I've got I.
Speaker 9 (24:44):
Mean, I'm asking Google and that's what he's telling me.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah, I don't want to say that.
Speaker 9 (24:48):
Yeah, it's both both the Americas, both the American pronunciation
and the British pronunciation. Is the Fista hotel?
Speaker 10 (24:56):
Then okay, all right, But like some of the the
ones that stand out. I actually heard of the story
of Bryce Harper in twenty twelve. He was staying there
and he said he laid a pair of jeans and
shirts on the table at the foot of the bed,
and when he woke up the next morning, he said
the clothes were on the floor, the table was on
(25:16):
the opposite side of the room. He said, crazy things
have happened. Another guy says that he was actually in
the bed and felt the sheets move and like somebody
was coming in behind him to spoon him. He felt
he felt something up against his body.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
What did he feel? And he turned around and nothing
was there.
Speaker 9 (25:36):
Patrick Swayzee, Oh yes, ghosts.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Yeah, but he had to get in Whoope's body? Remember
that see Brandon Phillips in twenty thirteen. O's in her
body now. But they're an idiot, he said.
Speaker 10 (25:55):
Another player said the radio just suddenly came on, which okay,
maybe it was said to an alarmer.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Whatever. He turned it off, got in the shower. When
he got out, it was back on and playing. It's
just there's a spoon spoon the radio. I'm with you.
I think we can explain that away. If something is
spooning you, that isn't there. That's big. Isn't that kind
of incubus? Look that up? It is, Greg, It is
just what's an incubus?
Speaker 9 (26:19):
Yeah, don't say it again. Okay, no, that would Yeah,
you're right, it's I thought that was that was a band,
so it does. That's why I know that.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
So, in other words, not the best band name.
Speaker 7 (26:31):
Right.
Speaker 10 (26:32):
You've got things like lights of flickering, things are turning on,
uh ghost Yeah, the hotel rooms being moved around, like
the Bryce Harper thing, you know. Okay, maybe the floor
the clothes fell on the floor, Okay, got that, but
like the tables on the other side, of the room
and it's just weird things that.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
Would get my attention. Looking. There's the table that was
there and now it's there, right, Greg, I'm sorry. I
never the best story of all is I was spooned
by ghosts?
Speaker 14 (26:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Yeah, if I feel if I feel the sheets moving,
like somebody's getting in the bed with me, and suddenly
I feel somebody up against me. Hey, now here's my question.
I don't even know you. Did you stay? I would
have left, no, woy, I stayed there staying. Hey, let
me tell you, A ghost might spoon me once. If
they won't spoon me on me, I know, on you
(27:21):
you get one shot at that spoon. But I'll tell
my middle of the night, like I don't know where
I'm going out, going through the libbry with my stuff. Yeah, yeah, okay,
bag on my shoulder. I'm gone head. I don't understand
new way. How do you ever go back to sleep?
You don't. There's no way you do not. I don't
care how much the white noise you get. Yeah, because
(27:42):
there's nothing you can go. Well, that wasn't nothing that right,
you know? You got you got some players the that
are with the Dodgers that have a history, like I said,
Mookie Bets that goes back years. Anytime he goes to Milwaukee,
he stays, and he's staying there. Mookie Bets is food.
Ain't no gonna get Mookie.
Speaker 10 (28:01):
One of the other Dodgers out fielders, Hernandez, says that
he didn't believe in ghosts, but his wife it kind
of does.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
And and so they stay.
Speaker 10 (28:10):
You they get an airbnb. He doesn't stay there because
she's so freaked out by it. So it just them
playing in Milwaukee earlier in the week has kind of
had all these stories.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
Research Halloween coming up. Yeah, but the.
Speaker 10 (28:23):
History of this hotel freaking out major League Baseball players
goes way back. I'm talking about like to the early
two thousands and where people are just like, hey, let
me tell you what happened to me.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
You know, it's just crazy man Greg speaking of stranging
count speaking of strange encounters and something got into bed
with men and spoon. Did you check tattle dig on
the way in? Is are the numbers getting bigger than Now?
I didn't come that way, You didn't come that way? Okay,
but yeah, they I'm sure they're at full Oh yeah,
they camp grounds filling up now. Of course, that rain
(28:57):
coming in Sunday morning if you had a tent gets
you a good hand. Hope. Yeah, it looks like you
may be a severe weather. I don't think just gonna rain,
but that's gonna be miserable. Yeah, but they've had they've
dealt with it before that the mud, these camper types
that they're the customers.
Speaker 10 (29:13):
Oh yeah, found it. It was an Angels back to
the hotel. It was an Angel's first baseman at the time.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
He said. He reported filling the presence of a spirit
in the bed. Come on, I don't even say that.
I'm just telling you, okay. Yeah, as he was trying
to sleep, Oh my goodness, he said, he felt a
ghost come up behind him. All right, so I want
to run.
Speaker 11 (29:38):
Now.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Are you reading this having no idea what the next
word is? Because from MLB dot but he may. But
you you're reading whereous? Where is this going? Where is
this going? At what point? If you see the word violated? Stop? Stop?
Speaker 10 (29:52):
So he is he's the He was a rookie at
the time out of South Korea. He didn't know about
the hotel's history, he said, but he felt a spirit
in the bed during the team's first night there, and uh,
he said, he said, I've now. He claims he has
sing ghosts plenty of times.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
He's one of these guys, he said.
Speaker 10 (30:15):
He the first time was after a back surgery in
twenty eleven. He said he felt the spirit on his chest,
that that he.
Speaker 11 (30:23):
His head like.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Was he snuggling? He said.
Speaker 10 (30:25):
I was scared at first, so I didn't want to open.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
My eyes first.
Speaker 10 (30:29):
I was scared the whole time, yeah, he said, he said,
here it goes. I was laying on on my side
when I felt a spirit crawling up behind me.
Speaker 4 (30:39):
Oh my god. Then I felt a hug and I
heard some mummering in my It was cast for the
friendly ghost.
Speaker 10 (30:46):
Too friendly ghost, he said. He said, Oh my goodness.
He said, Uh, I've always had a hard time sleeping
the hotels, but you can imagine what this did to me.
Speaker 15 (31:01):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
He just is that all he's gonna tells? Like, I
snuggled by ghosts and then went back to sleep. Him
I was hoping it is a girl. Yeah, Well, I'm sure,
he well, I honestly I'm not. I don't really want
a girl ghost around me. I don't want any right,
So he acts like, well, I was hoping it's a girl. No,
I hope it's not a ghost. I don't want any
spirits snuggling me. I don't care what form they're in.
(31:24):
That's right, He said that.
Speaker 10 (31:26):
He said that he has talked to other players that
said they have experienced similar things in that hotel.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
Well, let me tell you all that would take is
hey bird, Now the team's guys that provides this hotel.
And I will tell you this. I was actually spooned
by ghost there once. I'd be like, man, what's my
next op? I want to be honest, Jim, I got
any other connections? You do?
Speaker 12 (31:50):
I know you?
Speaker 13 (31:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:53):
I mean honest, We've even an angel. I just read them.
Just watch over me and comfort me. I don't just don't,
don't get into bed.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
Let me know what is is the Rick Burgers Show.
Are you following the Daily Archive podcast? Follow the Daily
Rick Burgers Show podcast now where you get podcasts and

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Yep, you got it at your fingertips every day, any
part of it. You want to review, any part you missed,
and for some of you, that's the only way you
get the show. So thank you. We're glad you're here
from all right. So a couple of things to kind
of keep an eye on coming up over the weekend.
Of course, it's going to be an active weekend. We have,
(32:46):
first of all, this look back last night what some
people call the Icy Hot Bowl, the Geezer's Bowl Bowl.
Speaker 8 (32:55):
It is.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
The Cincinnati Bengals with the very youthful quarterback Joe Flacco
taking on the Steaters with a very youthful quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 9 (33:06):
Yes, forty forty one Joe Flacco versus forty year old
Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 4 (33:10):
Yeah, how about Flacco? Flacco admitted after the game, and
he played an outstanding game he did. How about that?
He admitted after the game that they were calling in
plays that he did not know what they were. He
just looked at the defense and was able to make
adjustments based on the coverages because that always is an indicator.
But he said, they were literally sending me in place
that I did not know. And he said, and he said,
(33:33):
I would look at the coverages and make adjustments. Now,
last year he ended the season as the brown starter.
He just named the brown starter for this year, gets
traded and now go starter for the Bengals. Because burrows out.
Yeah wow, so those of you he's still hanging in there. Ye,
well it was apparently. Of course, none of us saw
(33:54):
it because the Thursday night football just didn't work for us.
It's hard in the bed time and all that. But
apparently it went down to the wire. It did, uh,
the Bengals putting together a drive for a field goal
to win it late Aaron Rodgers. It looked like he
had done what he needed to do to give the
Steelers the victory. And Flacco puts together the drive and
(34:15):
goes down there and gets it done. I was at
thirty three. Thirty one's ended. Yeah, so but there is
a there is a secondhand embarrassment moment, Adler, do you
if you do if you if you don't have it,
let me know, speedy it. This is not going to
make me watch it. Yees. It even bothered Greg and me.
Speaker 14 (34:31):
I know that.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
Greg and I talked about it. I think it bothered Adler.
When it's rare, it's hard to get Greg and I
to be uncomfortable. Usually we want to see it over
and over again. Yeah, but and I got a little
of that.
Speaker 9 (34:43):
But Rogers, Rogers makes a phenomenal play.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
He does and and unfortunately after the play, as far
as you, Speedy and even us to choose not to
watch this, you can't. I like to know you have
to watch it, just not you got to watch it.
Tell me about it. But I don't want to watch
one of his offensive linemen, Aaron Rodgers Steelers steels offensive lineman.
They forget how big they are.
Speaker 9 (35:04):
That's big because they weighed three hundred pounds.
Speaker 4 (35:06):
He wants to celebrate with Aaron Rodgers and he jumps
on his back.
Speaker 9 (35:09):
I'm not gonna watch this, and you better watch and
it makes.
Speaker 4 (35:12):
Aaron Rodgers mad. The guy's excited and gets cheated out
by point. Here's the t d incredible play.
Speaker 9 (35:20):
Yes, huge play. Late you're celebrating Rogers, celebrating and tackled.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
You got to watch that.
Speaker 9 (35:28):
He slowly gets up and pushes him back. It says, hey, man, I'm.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
Old Greg Sweedie. You didn't watch it. You're gonna watch
what I don't want? Tweedy? Will you please watch it
if you let me change it? Just a celebrating This
guy just dives on his back. What was the guy thinking?
Speaker 9 (35:45):
By the way, Rogers is so he's come on, man.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
What was that like, what was he thinking, Rick, what
was he thinking?
Speaker 16 (35:55):
Season for the chance when he's very fragile. If you
don't watch it, if you don't watch it all the
way through, I'm gonna send you and Larry to Milwaukee
to stay in the hotel.
Speaker 9 (36:06):
Yeah, the haunted.
Speaker 4 (36:07):
Okay, here's the thing. It ain't like the guy was
trying to celebrate and he stumbled. His intention was to
tackle Aaron. I don't know what.
Speaker 9 (36:17):
Sweedy to the ground.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Now, look look, look what's wrong with you?
Speaker 12 (36:23):
Man?
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Oh man, man? I know I think that y'all. They
lived their lives as giants, these these linemen.
Speaker 9 (36:34):
Yeah, it's a hard thing for them.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
They they think that they're just everybody else. Is that
their size and that's just what they are.
Speaker 10 (36:44):
If you have never been to one of these games
in the NFL, really college too, and seen some of
these guys, he just tackled it. When they're around normal
sized people, they're they're literally like giants. That's like a
hard tackle he would have took on the field.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
During the play. I think I think there's a moment
that he tries to just grab him from behind and
lean on him. Yeah, and he loses it. No, there's No,
he's he looks like he's driving him to the He
could have landed on his shoulder, by the way, really
could have messed him up. Now, keep in mind he
(37:24):
got hurt right there, he's coming back, Okay, had a
total achilles repairs.
Speaker 11 (37:32):
He's got.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
Rogers isn't worth any money at all. Oh no. But
but here's the thing about it, too, is that the
Steelers ended up losing, which means now it can't they
can't put a positive picture.
Speaker 8 (37:45):
Man.
Speaker 4 (37:46):
Hey, man, I'm sorry I got mad out. I'm just
a worried about getting hurt. I know, man, I don't
mean knock you down. So you do that after a win,
not after a loss, but after a lost bill by
still mad Yeah, thinking what.
Speaker 9 (37:57):
Was that was Broderick Jones.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
God love young Broderick. Wow, he could have hurt the
quarterbacks so easy.
Speaker 9 (38:05):
Yeah, and here's the actual rick. Phenomenal play by both quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Yeah, they both.
Speaker 9 (38:12):
Really looking great for forty years old. Especially, but man,
they could sling the pill. Guys that can still sling that.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
They can spin it. You can spin it, man.
Speaker 9 (38:20):
So phenomenal play. Huge play late in the fourth by
Rogers and the undefeated until last night Steelers did not
realize they were undefeated.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
They had lost one. Okay, I think there were four
and one or something. You know what, you know what
you just said, having a great seas close.
Speaker 9 (38:35):
Yeah he is here.
Speaker 17 (38:35):
It is now.
Speaker 4 (38:36):
The Bengals had lost three in a row, so Flaco.
But he did right before it that little thing where
he jumps in the air, keep making the see again.
All that player was doing was just and you've come
up behind him.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
You've come up.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
Behind him and hug and put a little bit of
your weight on somebody. Yeah, that's all he was doing.
Speaker 9 (38:53):
But he said, job.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
Greg, you know what he is. He painted a puppet
you hard boot was eleven. I'll make me watch that.
I didn't know Boomont played for the Steeling. I just
wanted to a good job. And I will love you
and I will squeed you and I will crush you
(39:19):
to the ground to the Part two is that Aaron
Rodgers got mad at him.
Speaker 9 (39:24):
Yeah, he pissed him away, pushed him away.
Speaker 4 (39:27):
Because he tackled him and fell on it. He just
push him down. He fell on love potential quarterback and
I will love him and I love it. He made
threat I will meet him and I apparently will crush
him good.
Speaker 10 (39:43):
All right, So there was someone that that that can
sometimes go over the top, which I can.
Speaker 4 (39:50):
I know that Lineman probably went with that was a
little much. Yeah, over like I got kind of caught
up in it. So an over grader speaks to over celebrator. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
he probably went over there. And he can't be little,
but if he could, he'd be little.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Lying in then the top of the hour, this is
the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
You better listen up.
Speaker 4 (40:24):
You know what we say, boss, i'n you gotta find.
Speaker 2 (40:35):
Broadcasting from the world. The Rick Burchis Show.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
A Right America, brand new hour underway. We thank you
for being with us today Friday edition. As far as
when this happened in real time the box seats they'll
be here later in the program. Another Burgess ball battle
today and we'll meet the folks they are visiting from
(41:01):
all over watching the studio version of the show right.
Speaker 11 (41:06):
Here with us.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
If you have ever thought of being here to actually
watch how all this is done, sitting just a few
feet from us. You can get those tickets at Rick
Burgessshow dot com. They are free, but they need to
be reserved, so pay attention. And also even like today,
sometimes we'll have a last minute cancelation and those tickets
(41:33):
go right back into availability so you can grab them
and hopefully join us one day. We love that speedy,
Greg and Adler all here. You know, I mentioned now
that things have solidified with kind of at least the
immediate future of this show. We have entered into long
(41:57):
term deals with all the different people that provide these
different ways to get the show. You know, Summit Media,
that's that's going to be involved with our local partnership,
and also they partner with us in the national syndication
of the radio network Syndicated Solutions, they syndicate the show, uh.
(42:18):
And then iHeartMedia they do the podcast archive version of
the show and and they provide that and sell that.
And then Blaze Media our YouTube channel UH and then
of course the programming that we have on Blaze Media.
So all of those entities have uh have have come
to us and have offered long term relationships with the
(42:38):
with the new show, and we're excited about that. So
now that all that has kind of been solidified and
is solidifying, we can go ahead and start telling you
we got some stuff coming up next year it's gonna
be a lot of fun. And I'll just say this
one announcement will be next week. We've already talked about
the conferences next year, but that's not new. We have
(42:58):
been doing that for the last five years or so, well,
not the last five years, but probably the last three
three years some years we've been in conferences. But anyway, so,
but sometimes it's hard to get vox seats to be
in here to see the show. But what if there
was an opportunity for us to come to your town, ah,
(43:20):
and you have an experience of seeing the show live
and in person. I'll just leave it at that, and
it might feature a couple of things that we've been
waiting on come on. So anyway, big announcements will continue
to come out going into twenty twenty six, Lord Willing,
So all right, so excited about that. But one of
(43:40):
the things that we also want to bring to you
are I don't know what it is. I think spe
how you get up every day and come to work
because so much of this show features awkward social awkward,
which you know we all love. The more socially awkward
something is the bag to us. But I know this
can be difficul for you and I And I'm okay
(44:02):
with this. This I have I have met so many
of you that experience the same thing. You're just uncomfortable.
You can call it second hand, but just social awkwardness. Uh.
Speaker 10 (44:12):
You know, moments that just kind of make you feel weird,
You get you become embarrassed for somebody, that sensation that
overcomes you, which really brought a lot of you out
because we've all dealt with this sure, and we've never
really said.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
Anything about it. Uh, and so about the silence suffer, Yeah,
I've met so many of you in the box seats
that you're like, hey, I've got the same thing. Man,
it's tough. Well, this is a weird moment here though.
So I'm not familiar with this show, Celebrity Traders. I
have never seen it trade. What of that trade?
Speaker 9 (44:46):
Like, I'm a trader trader?
Speaker 4 (44:49):
Oh yeah, Ben mc darnold, right there you go.
Speaker 9 (44:52):
And Guys, every once in a while, I'll get sucked
into a reality show because my wife's honestly, frankly, my
sister watches a lot of reality shows, and every once
in a while we'll get sucked into one.
Speaker 4 (45:06):
Did she watched thousand pounds sys.
Speaker 9 (45:08):
We know I need to get her on that.
Speaker 4 (45:10):
Everything goes back to that.
Speaker 9 (45:11):
We watched two episodes of this Traders show.
Speaker 4 (45:15):
Traders.
Speaker 9 (45:15):
Well, we couldn't. We couldn't, we couldn't do it. It
was just it was frankly, it was stupid, like it's
a stupid show, and it was and I'm just using
this as like a descriptive term. This is not a negative.
I'm not being negative. But it was stupid. And it
was also gay. It was very gay.
Speaker 4 (45:31):
It was like, and I mean it's gay, like how
you call something gay or literally gay?
Speaker 9 (45:37):
No, I mean like literally gay. I don't mean that
in a negative way, like you don't, I don't mean
in a negative way. It was like, let's put on
masks for no reason and like walk with like draped
drapery clothing to now this location. And then you're like,
why did y'all even do that? That seemed very That
just seemed like y'all just wanted to prance in a
costume from one location to the next. I see there
(45:59):
was a lot of that.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
Okay, well this is this is There's nothing on the
show that would intrigue me in any way except this.
Speaker 10 (46:08):
Yeah, tell me if y'all hear something that doesn't belong. Now, first,
it's just going to sound like you know your reality show. Yes,
it just just pay attention and tell me if something
doesn't fit.
Speaker 18 (46:21):
Players.
Speaker 19 (46:23):
Welcome to the worst team building away day experience in.
Speaker 9 (46:28):
History, in the world.
Speaker 20 (46:36):
In history.
Speaker 14 (46:42):
I just fo.
Speaker 4 (46:49):
But I always guys settled. I'm sorry. It was nerves.
I always known up. Not only does she let it fly,
she claimed it. She claimed it. What you have to appreciate, Well,
the one who named it. So there you go, that's
the one that did it.
Speaker 9 (47:09):
You know who did it.
Speaker 4 (47:10):
I don't know who did it, Okay, he asked, with
a smile, said Claudia asked, what just happened with a smile. Okay,
I asked, No, that no, that was that did happen.
But that's not what I'm talking about. That that was
no question there, no, But but the U and apparently
(47:30):
they're referring to Cecilia as a national treasure. I don't
know who Cecilia is. That's when I ripped it. Yeah,
that's the one that ripped it. And she said, yeah,
she said, I always do she she claimed it. She said,
she said, I'm sorry, Claudia I just thought, did I
always claim it? It must have been nuts. Oh that's funny.
Absolutely claimed it. So you got to give her credit. Okay,
(47:57):
she's not. I don't know why she's a national treasure,
but ingram from where over there? This English is over there? Yes, okay.
So she she said it was nerves. Apparently she this
team building thing they were going to do had her
very nervous. So we've had a few of these little
clips like somebody doing the news and nobody ever confirms.
(48:19):
And that was a chair squeaking. She just raised her
hands said, just ripped one.
Speaker 19 (48:24):
That is welcome to the worst team building away day
experience in history.
Speaker 4 (48:37):
I just foll.
Speaker 21 (48:43):
It's love.
Speaker 9 (48:44):
I always not.
Speaker 21 (48:46):
I always have not to.
Speaker 4 (48:48):
Guys settled, listen, they can't let it go just laughing,
you know why. And this is the thing we've been saying.
Here's why. And I want everybody to under stand this
breaking wind is never not funny. It's funny. It's never
not funny, right, it can be inappropriate. It's crazy awkward,
(49:09):
crazy awkward. And you know what she did. She she
took away any weapons against her by saying, that's on me. Yeah,
guess because I didn't know the national treasure and I
just ripped one. I didn't know Cecilia was a national treasure.
But today she is to me absolutely because for the
first time, I think anybody that will do that and
claim it is a friend of mine. Yeah, it was
(49:32):
the nerves. Ye, wow, it was the nerves. She's the
one who dealt it. And she didn't even wait until
everybody smelling.
Speaker 9 (49:43):
She did not deny it.
Speaker 4 (49:44):
That has timing on it too, is like there was
a break in the act where so there we go,
We'll be back.
Speaker 1 (49:54):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (49:55):
More of the Rick Merger's Show coming up right after this.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
This is The Rick Burgess Show. God fearing and America
loving The Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 4 (50:21):
Hello America, thank you for being with us on a
brand new version of The Rick Burgess Show. Speedy Greg
Adler all here. Relief factor, relief factor, game changer. So
many of you out there are like me. You take
it every day. I will tell you. You know, when
I injured myself sleeping the other night, something hyper extending
(50:44):
my thumb. What a dream walk up to the sound
of it cracking, guys, and so enough of that. The

I found out about Relief Factor, and I got to say,
I can't thank you enough for this amazing product. I

Natural Relief Factor dot com or Rick Burgess Show dot
Com under the sponsors button. Okay, hey birds, heybirds, the
(52:38):
email option VERG. How do I email? It's simple, first
of all, it's Rick at Rick Burgess Show dot com.
Or just go to the team where all of us are.
You'll see that on our website, Rick burgesshow dot com.
It'll tell you how to email us, how to follow
us on Instagram, how to follow us on this, etc.
And just put in the subject line hey bird, Hey birds.
(52:58):
Now I will tell all of you in this room.
This email is going to be a little bit difficult
to hear because it's a tough truth. Remember yesterday and
we were talking about all the people going to the
Gulf of America and taking our beaches away from us,
and y'all need to stay where you're at, remember and
all of that. Well, I'm behind a little bit in
(53:19):
my YouTube viewing, and I just caught you and the
guys talking about all the Northerners coming down and clogging
up I sixty five and taking over thirty a from
a Floridian Unless you have Florida plates on your car,
you're all Northerners. I got you. Also, Alabama has its
(53:41):
own beaches, true, don't come farther east than Orange Beach
or Gulf Shores. Stay out of our area as well.
That's valid. I love the show. By the way, just
had to give you a hard truth. Eric from Milton, Florida. Okay, Eric,
you know, okay, Wow, Wow, that's I've been to Milton.
How about that. That's stings a little bit there. That's
a tough truth. It's hard to argue. Wow, it is.
(54:03):
And but he was a little bit straight. It was
straightforward their territory. Now, at least go see my sister
in Pensacolia. Yeah, at least do that right and limit
how many times a year you can do it. But yeah,
he made a valid point that we were talking about.
People got their own beaches. He said, you folks in
Alabama got your own two. Yeah, but that's different. It
is really I hate to break it to Eric and
(54:25):
his little Milton self, but the Panhandle is just is
just Alabama. It is I y'all think it's not the
rest of Florida. Yeah, y'all got the rest of it.
But the Panhandle Panhandle might as well. Besides, I've been there, Eric,
and I've been and lived in Alabama all my life.
The Panhandle. Same people, Yeah, same people. Hey bird, Hey bird.
Speaker 6 (54:49):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (54:50):
My wife and I have got in a bad habit
of leaving the TV on when we go to bed.
Oh got a custom. I can't sleep with all that
flash No, got it. It's not healthy to do that.
By the way, the word rick, get that. No, that's true.
That do you. You shouldn't sleep with that stuff on.
And that's not good that you don't get in a
good sleep. That's one of Rick's causes. Awareness about it.
(55:14):
I become I become a sleep expert. Yeah uh. And
apparently will Andre your thumb sleep, you can uh. I
got accustomed to the noise, I guess, but would sometimes
wake up in the middle of the night.
Speaker 11 (55:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (55:26):
See, you know why it's making him restless. That's why
you shouldn't do it. Recently, okay, white noise people listen
to this. Recently, I found out that Prime Amazon Amazon
prim I sing. At first, I thought, well, what in
the world is down? Sanders? So you lost another toe
has a nine hour black screen videos of ocean or rain,
(55:48):
et cetera. Oh, game changer me time out. I sleep
now like a baby. So the screen is blank. Yeah,
so it's not bothering you with the flickering. And you
just got difference. So you just get the sound in
your room off the tee about that the ocean? Maybe
rain is the one that relaxes me the most. And
he went a little far here because I don't know
how he would know this. Now watch Greg, watch him launch.
(56:11):
All right, here we go in three in two. It's
almost like being back in the womb. Good, how about this?
I don't want to be back in the womb. That's scary.
That's a scary thought. Yeah, and I don't remember that either,
So how do I know?
Speaker 18 (56:25):
So?
Speaker 4 (56:26):
Yeah, how do they know?
Speaker 2 (56:27):
Release the crack?
Speaker 14 (56:29):
You know?
Speaker 4 (56:30):
They make that statement as if there's a documented case.
I remember that.
Speaker 13 (56:33):
I know that.
Speaker 11 (56:36):
It was.
Speaker 4 (56:37):
Now, when I was in the womb, I was comfortable.
Was it Steve Better? Was it Stephen Wright? Was that
the guy that did the boot the instant coffee in
the Marco wave and went back in time? Remember what
was that?
Speaker 13 (56:48):
His name?
Speaker 4 (56:48):
Stephen? Very funny. I think he's the only person that
even did a joke about that if babies could journal, yeah,
you know, and yeah, yeah, it's still tired from the move.
Everybody talks to me like I'm an idiot. Yeah, I
mean that's a funny, but I don't think any baby
has ever been able to communicate to us. I can
remember how it was, I can remember things two. I
was of three around four, that's where I start having memories.
(57:11):
I just don't know anybody. I don't trust anybody. I
remember in the womb. I tell you what, there's something
amazing about about Greg's memory. I'm telling you, Greg, you've
pulled a few out. I just can't let it happen
because I think I can't deal with it. You could
have possibly been three, I know, and that's too much.
People shouldn't remember things when they were three. When we
(57:32):
have a timeline. Yeah, so I remember before that. I
don't know my pen number. But you know, I got you.
I need to know more about this thing. This screen,
am Amazon. Are you familiar with this? This seems like
your area.
Speaker 8 (57:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (57:48):
In fact, there's on YouTube tons of like campfire videos
or like fireplace videos. Yes, and it's an actual fire.
You can scroll forward four hours. You're like, oh, Wow,
those logs.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
Did burn I'll say, this is this kind of okay?
Speaker 9 (58:04):
Oh yeah yeah, they'll they'll filming actual fire, the fire.
Speaker 4 (58:07):
I have seen that.
Speaker 9 (58:08):
Yeah, that's great.
Speaker 4 (58:08):
I think that was the scene. Are really pretty outside lakes?
Okay that snow? Yeah? Yeah?
Speaker 9 (58:16):
Is anybody heard chestnuts roasting?
Speaker 4 (58:20):
Has anybody heard about nine hour black screen videos of
ocean or rain on Amazon prom.
Speaker 9 (58:25):
I did not know about that.
Speaker 10 (58:26):
I just I just I just went to Amazon Prime
right here and you wentchanical fan and I searched black screen.
And when I searched black screen within the app, it
came up with all kinds like thunderstorms, h you know,
all black stuff.
Speaker 4 (58:43):
How about this? I just I just said black screen
and Denzel Washington.
Speaker 11 (58:47):
Came up.
Speaker 4 (58:52):
Screen. It's all okay, you hit the wrong I think, yeah,
I didn't google it right.
Speaker 2 (58:57):
This is the Rick British Show. We talk to the

be a great gathering for the men. You hear a
great message from Tim and you have an opportunity to
then get into our small group curriculum. Same thing on
Sunday night. It'll be over in Hartzell, Alabama. East Highland
Baptist Church, Lee Moore will be there that starts at
six local. All the information about either one of these
(01:00:30):

tell all the folks that are part of the Tuscaloosa
County Baptist Association in Northport, Alabama, I'm honored to be
speaking at your gathering coming up at Northport Baptist on
(01:00:51):
Sunday night. So what an honor, Shary. And I'll be
coming over and having dinner with all of you, and
I'll get a chance to give a message and look
forward to that too. So with those of you that
are coming to that, look forward to saying hello. So
some things going on. I want to hit you with
a couple of things out of domestic life. So we've
(01:01:12):
got a lot going on, you know, Sherry and me,
we're in the empty nestor stage, which is a whole
wonderful stage of life, and the three of us are
in that stage now, Greg and Speedy or in grandparents stage.
I'm not there yet. Adler's still little kids at home,
so all those things. So Sherry has been working on
(01:01:33):
a number of projects. So she's been at the farm
a good bit, then at the house, then at the farm.
I've been going down to the farm to see her,
but then there's times that you know, where she has
been there and I've been at home, and you know,
so I've kind of a couple We're not talking about
weeks at a time, but you know, a couple of
days here and there, and I start kind of having
(01:01:55):
my own system. And something happened yesterday that I wasn't
really ready for, you know, I found myself. So she
came home yesterday, yesterday afternoon, and I could not believe
what happened. And I had been there at the house
on my own for a few days, and she had
(01:02:15):
been at the farm, and i'd been down there Monday.
But I had to come back for work. It's just
a long way to drive, you know, from the farm
to work at the time we have to. I mean,
it's not like you driving Greg, but it would add
you know, if I have a house close to the
studio that is mine to now make my ride from
ten minutes to forty minutes, you know, I feel that. Yeah,
(01:02:36):
So I usually don't spend the night down there and
then go to work. So I had come back, and
she stayed down a few days working on stuff need
to be done, and which means dealing with Gary. But
so in that combination always leads us just a slight
bit of drama. But and I couldn't believe what happened.
So Sherry comes home, We're hanging out. Hey, good to
(01:02:57):
see you. Hey, I missed you. I missed you too.
I love you so much. And so she gets her
something to drink and she goes to sit down where
we have a little some chairs where we sit and
talk and you know, study the Bible and pray together.
And she spilled her drink on the chair, and all
of a sudden, I said, unbelievable. And she just looked
at me, and I said, I have been working in
(01:03:18):
this house. And I said, I have cleaned this house.
And I said, you've come in here and spilt the
drink on the chair. Unbelievable. And she goes, excuse me,
And I'm like, okay me do y'all know y'all it's
like I'm not appreciated around here.
Speaker 11 (01:03:36):
I mean.
Speaker 4 (01:03:38):
Clean, and I clean and I wash the dishes and
and and all of a sudden she hears in the
laundry room, look at you one of those sounds. And
I go, well, now I need to go get I
need to get that loaded and fold that loaded, and
I mean find something to clean that up. And and
and she she walks in laundry and she goes, did
you just get on me about spilling something? I said, well,
I just felt like I work all day in this
(01:03:59):
house and you come in here and mess it all up.
Speaker 9 (01:04:02):
I wish I was appreciated.
Speaker 4 (01:04:05):
It was weird. So uh so then we we uh
we and I said, and she goes, well, excuse me,
And I said, and by the way, you just gonna
leave crumbs over on the counter. She goes, I'm sorry,
I got a snack And I said, them clothes in
the floor, And I said, would it key you to
break that off? How'd that feel? It so great? It
really ain't gonna last.
Speaker 9 (01:04:25):
And so also I got a haircut and you didn't
say anything.
Speaker 4 (01:04:32):
I've got this new shirt on. We just put it
in the Rick and Bubble store and you're not saying
anything about it. But by the way, uh and got
mom one, got got shrey one. Whatever this new what
will you call it? It's almost like a little it's
not a sweater. I don't know what this new shirt
covers your booty that we have for women. But the
material the women are loving and they say it's real soft.
(01:04:53):
And asked me about that. Yeah, it's got Sherry only thinks.
She goes, do women want to have big vie on
their shirt? And I'm like, of course they do this
stands up for the big voice of all of us.
That's the company, that's that's that's being on the big
Vox team. Yeah. And so anyway, it was the way
you talked. Was it worth it?
Speaker 21 (01:05:14):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
Not really?
Speaker 18 (01:05:15):
No.
Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
It caused some awkwardness, okay, and I came back and
after I gathered myself, I was like, you know, I'm
just kidding around about that. But that was my first
reaction because I straightened all that again, I straightened all that.
I said. You hadn't even mentioned I made the bed up.
Speaker 9 (01:05:30):
But anyway, so it's called an oversized crew.
Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
That's it. Yeah, that's cool shirt. And the material is
a lot softer than I thought it was when because
I was looking at pictures picking it out, I didn't
have a size. Uh yeah they are yeah yeah, yeah
that that's Uh that's really good, especially with Faull being here.
But it covers covers something speaking keeps saying.
Speaker 10 (01:05:53):
So you don't hear your wife say that, I know,
Terry does, Terry's Terry's you know, she's like, you know
some of these, some of these ladies, I mean, they'll
they'll wear some short stuff and.
Speaker 9 (01:06:04):
These are not allowed in my house.
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
You talk about like, I've got my workout pants on,
I'm not covering. Yeah, yeah, I got and she tries
to cover.
Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
Yeah, well, not in my house, not not in my
not under my roof.
Speaker 18 (01:06:17):
I have no.
Speaker 4 (01:06:19):
There's been times where she is like, I'm gonna run
the store. I mean, I know I look awful, but
I need to run get something. And I'll say not
get along the shirt and she goes, oh, well, I
said yeah, we yeah, And she's like, that's so grossy
Is that the way y'all are? I said, baby, yes,
if you came in the grocery store, you'd be a distraction,
side stumbling block, right yeah, And she goes, Okay, she
(01:06:40):
goes gross, But anyway.
Speaker 9 (01:06:44):
I'm looking at lights in the grocery store. My goodness.
Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
But then my day reading signs, my day went it
went south. It's always something you ever ever heard that term?
It's always something always, it's all ways something. It never fails.
I mean, you think you try so hard to get ahead,
You try so hard. So I go downstairs and I'm
(01:07:07):
going down there to dude just a little bit better,
and I look over at the thermostat downstairs, and I
see that the thermostat was set for sixty eight and
the temperature is seventy one, and you can't have that awful. So,
(01:07:28):
being a veteran and dealing with these things, I immediately
went outside to the outside unit and saw the ice
a froza frozen. Oh it's frozen consation. So I know
to turn it off, don't let it run. You're gonna
burn the motor up. And I call my friends at
Comfort Dynamics and Carlos good to see yesterday, buddy, And
(01:07:55):
I felt so bad for Carlos because they're almost it's
not near as bad. I'm I'm not trying to equate
it to the same severity. Please don't misunderstand me. But
I know how some of you HVAC people must be.
And I know for you it's gonna be good because
there's your company's gonna make some money. I got it.
But he had that look on his face like a
doctor that says, can we talk for a minute. Oh,
(01:08:19):
and you've got a loved one somewhere, And he said
it's not good news. And so I thought the twenty
three years that we had been living there, I thought
over that time, all of them had been replaced at
some point. I was wrong. Because it was the downstairs one.
Many it didn't work that hard because it's always cooler
(01:08:40):
down there, so it lasted longer than the others. He goes,
this is Byby's twenty three years old, and I said,
and he goes, and she's done. And I'm like, so,
in other words, all the things I'm budgeting and everything
I've been working on, I didn't factor in a new
HVAC unit. And he goes, I'm so sorry. Nobody does,
(01:09:00):
he said. He said that it's it's over. He goes,
he said, even the free on that this hus is
not available anymore, and thanks Obama, and h I said,
and I looked at him. I said, you know, my
first first problem was Carlos. I thought I could have something.
And uh so now so today the bell tolls, I
(01:09:24):
talk about what we're gonna get and how much is
gonna cost. Now you got to watch me because I'm
heading in the fall and it's downstairs and and here
comes the cold front end. So I'm not you don't
have me panic. Yeah, I'm not in a panic because
that that keeps itself pretty regulated down there this time
(01:09:45):
of year. But uh but it's guy, I mean, I
have to I have to deal with it because I
live in Alabama and you're not gonna make it without
an A six. And they love them too, they so
you just had that just pop up yesterday after golly,
you know how you see their face you walk out
and they don't seem to be working. They just have
(01:10:06):
the pad out. I'm like, okay, so are we good? Yeah?
And he said, oh no, And then he showed me
the inside unit was covered in ice too, and he goes,
it's over. Oh god, it's a fun.
Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He doesn't have Lucy
d He just likes things to be a certain way.
Wick Burgess, All.
Speaker 4 (01:10:50):
Right, America, let's enjoy another day together. If you don't
you get to any new stuff. And there's so much
new swag in the store. A couple of opportunities. Just
go to Rick Burgess Show dot com and click on shop,
or you can text the word store to eight eight
(01:11:12):
eight six Big Vox and the link will come right
up for you. And there's so many new items there.
We got new stuff from Big Vox Outdoors. That's the
camp House line. We've got, like I say, a new
Ladies shirts. We also have new hats. Of every kind,
even outside of the of the outdoors stuff. We've got
(01:11:32):
a I say, a kid shirt, but anybody could wear
the shirt, the one that has us the cartoon of
all of us, hey bird, and a good, good family
shirt for everybody that's there. We have Ah, we've got
the car coasters, their brand new, so a lot of
new stuff, a lot of new shirts and items, and
you can find all of them there at the store.
(01:11:54):
All right, so coming up this weekend, and look, I'm
gonna move on. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna think
anymore about it. I mean, it's all right, it's part
of my sprung that one on us. I didn't know
that happened. So well, well you know why I just said.
You know why you didn't hear me really making a
big deal out of it. It's the weather. If we
were sitting if we were sitting here in July, it'd
(01:12:16):
be a different bird. Yeah. But but but I'm confident
birds now because even with the air conditioned off last night,
it felt fine out there, no problem. So uh and
that'll that'll cause me to probably delay a little, you know,
but uh, but that but but we'll see. Uh and
in the in the great folks that Comfort Dynamics. You know,
we've we have a relationship with them now and they're
(01:12:37):
great people and they do great work. So I'm I'm
they'll handle it. I mean there's a certain but you know,
even when you have people going, we're doing the best
job in the world. I mean, there there's a certain
cost of an HVAC system that you just can't get around.
That's right. Uh you know what, And I'm gonna can
I share something with y'all just personal about that because
you'll have you all been there? I kid you not.
(01:12:58):
I'm not saying this for the show. I'm not saying
this to make it. You know, can't have nothing. There's
just certain things in the universe. I don't know how
they happen. I kid you all, not making this up.
I had something that I decided, you know what, I
think I'm gonna pay that off, and I was looking around,
I was thinking, you know what, I think I'm good.
I had literally just spent that money Thursday, I mean
(01:13:24):
a Wednesday, and I get this news on Thursday. Golly see,
if I'd have known this was coming, I would say,
let me hang on that about maybe another couple of weeks,
you know, and get to a new month, and I
was like, you know what, I'm gonna knock that out.
Look at me, Look at me, look at me, skip
into the Mailboone knocked it out. Go ahead, go put
a little stress on that on that area right there.
(01:13:45):
But that's all right, we can do that. We're gonna
bounce right back in November. It all of a sudden, bam,
there's those of you that say coming birds. So all right,
well han, we'll get it done. But what are you
gonna do? All right, so let's look at this weekend
college football. Here we go, uh huh lsu Vanderbilt. I
(01:14:06):
know there's other games, but you uh I think? Yeah,
do you think Vandy? They lost a mole minium when
they got beat Bybama and they played a close game.
It didn't like they got hand No, I know, I agree.
I'm just saying, but you know, you're not going to
sneak up on anybody anymore. Yeah. You know how you
come in there and you're all fired up, and you
got fireworks shooting out, you were in and all that,
(01:14:27):
and you're ready to go, and then you didn't quite
get it done a little bit. Yeah, last year even
though they were playing, well you you thought, well, there's
still Vandy. So now people are looking at them, going
you better. We got to take these people serious. Is
their stadium complete? I don't know. They've been working on
it forever. Look, I know that Nadmira commented on it,
(01:14:48):
but I had a hard time watching Alabama Missouri last
week with the front end loader and the N zone.
I know I thought the same thing. Yeah, that looked bad.
That's a bad looking I don't like the Vandy's he
was not finished. That doesn't and it hadn't been about
three years that those things like that. Yeah, but they
are at Vandy. So uh so we'll have to deal
with that. When you got workers working on bricks outside,
(01:15:11):
why the game's going on? You know, that's a little money.
You know what I'm gonna say on this LSU Vandy game.
Keep an eye on it, all right, Let's go to
Oklahoma South Carolina? Uh did the quarterback come back too quick?
Last wee? I didn't get see end of that game.
I didn't play bad. I didn't see any of it either. No,
uh so I still like Carolina's that team. I just can't, don't.
(01:15:35):
You don't know what's gonna happen. No, I would say
if the quarterback is one hundred percent, I like Oklahoma.
If he's still struggling, I would say, be careful of
South Carolina. South Carolina can beat anybody. Oh yeah, it's
just what quarterback they do or not. I don't think
Wisconsin does much agains Ohio State. Wisconsin's just not a
great football team this year. Ohio State's too good. There
(01:15:58):
Old Miss Georgia game days there, that's a good one.
I think George is gonna be them at Georgia Georgia.
That's a good one there. By the way, i'me out, Yeah,
somebody's by the way. Okay, y'all. So George is not ranked, yes,
(01:16:18):
you know on this on this print out here, they
don't rank them on the print out that you gave us. Yeah,
it's weird. I was like, what George was like one
of the top teams. It's got Old Miss five, and
it's got George with no ranking. Georgie is nine. I
thought so, But you know this this print out does
not have it on there. That is funny. Isn't that weird?
Is Arkansas done anything? Left? Texas A and m let
(01:16:41):
me let me warn Texas A and M fans. Okay,
I'm gonna give you the Gary warning. Please please, no
one in Aggie Land, no one. Please don't start thinking
you can have something. Yeah, A and M. You're quietly
y'all know how it is to be an A and
M fan. You're always right there, or in recent years
(01:17:02):
you've always been right there, and then something happens. I'm
not saying this is it because Arkansas is struggling, but
but I just you playing at Arkansas. I'm just saying
I don't want anything anybody to think you can have something.
Let me tell you what could go south? Hear me, okay,
and that we've all seen those games where there's no electricity.
(01:17:27):
It feels dead. You get lulled to sleep in the atmosphere,
So be careful of that many time. Y'all hard to
beat in college station. But don't get out on the
road now and get in some kind of funky against
a team that's kind of they're not real good. You
get some kind of funky atmosphere, and also your team
kind of gets dead and train has gonna come out
(01:17:49):
on the most cycle. When you start looking at somebody
else to make a play when really maybe you should have.
So just be careful of that. It's an afternoon game.
Hard to control that. Arkansas, Mississippi State, Florida Speedy going
into the state, going into the swamp. M hm. They
think there's there's rumors that Napier could be fired this
(01:18:09):
weekend if this doesn't go well. Really yeah, now they're
back mad at him. They're back mad at him. Oh okay,
they only had that one game. Uh, Texas Kentucky. Kentucky
seems to be struggling. I know what about that. Texas
has kind of got back on their feet. USC Notre
Dame now is turned into a good game. That's now
turned into a good game because USC is playing better
(01:18:30):
and so is Notre Dame. Uh you tall, b Why
you don't care about that? But that's a big game.
Speaker 11 (01:18:36):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:18:36):
Uh So there you go. There's some college football for
the weekend. Top of the hour.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 9 (01:18:46):
Well come choo, the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
The boy some reason for a reason, world.
Speaker 4 (01:19:02):
Lighten up.
Speaker 21 (01:19:02):
For instance, here we go.
Speaker 6 (01:19:05):
It is a brand new hour in here we go, Speedy,
Greg and Adler all here vox seats are coming up
a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:19:15):
Later on Burgess ball battle will ensue as well. We
got unscreened phone calls coming this hour. Uh, and we
look forward to hearing from you. Maybe look forward to
maybe we're entertained by hearing. He's a better way to
put that. But it is a lot of fun, all right,
So we'll do that coming up this hour as well.
Get you ready for the weekend. Strange Encounter is a
(01:19:37):
brand new episode coming out this weekend. We interview someone
about their personal strange encounter with what he truly believes
are demonic forces. So well you'll you'll catch that over
the weekend wherever you get podcasts, so be sure and
grab that. Here's coming. Here comes another and boy, I'm
(01:19:58):
getting a lot of these, call them getting a bunch
of these.
Speaker 21 (01:20:04):
She mean coffee tea, Lord, digging up?
Speaker 3 (01:20:08):
What about?
Speaker 17 (01:20:09):
And all?
Speaker 4 (01:20:09):
What about? In change?
Speaker 9 (01:20:11):
My country, dreams?
Speaker 4 (01:20:12):
Life, stuck in a dial?
Speaker 9 (01:20:14):
All is every road I take to about?
Speaker 4 (01:20:20):
Hello guys, Hello to you, sir. Uh my name is Rigo. Uh,
yesterday evening after enough, I like that name. Cool name.
Uh after the uh after uh after work. Uh, my
wife was making a wonderful dinner. Listen to this dinner.
I got ready for this hamburger steak. We love it.
(01:20:42):
Mashed potatoes. Love that pent to Beean macaroni. Oh yeah,
super delicious. That's a good little one. Anyways, she informed
me that while she was cooking that we were out
of mylow sweet tea and she also wanted a doctor pepper. Okay,
so so I'm I'm on my way down to the
(01:21:03):
store and my dog four that name alone tells me
that's a lot of dogs, which is a full blooded
German shepherd. Well, I got that right, and my dog Saban,
who is part German shepherd and speedy, part leopard dog.
So uh and that that much? Don't you had one
(01:21:24):
of those? Yeah?
Speaker 10 (01:21:25):
Yeah, okay, Cuddy's call Cada hula leopard. Well I think
there's other leopard. I mean, you can d that leopard.
Speaker 4 (01:21:33):
Sorry, I didn't know the leopard. I don't either. I'm
just saying that you talked down to me just a
little just then. Aren't they minds you? Catta hula? We
have a leopard to me, cats a hula. Yeah, Cata
hula leopard is like a Louisiana hound. I didn't mean
to flip that. Really.
Speaker 10 (01:21:53):
I think Cuddy should be a drug dog. I really
do his nose as unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (01:21:57):
But anyway, uh, except when it storms. So let's just
say they're pretty good sized dogs. Yeah, they were falling
behind the vehicle and would not to go back home,
so I decided to put them in the car. That's
to bring an idea, reg go go back home and
just run down to the store real quick. It's only
two or three minutes away. So when we got when
when we got there, I got out of the car,
(01:22:17):
you know, went in the store, did what I needed
to do, came out only to find that my two
dogs had locked me out of the car. Been there, friend, Yes,
the dogs locked me out of the car. Not sure
if y'all ever been in that situation, Yes, Greg, has
I have ACKed to that, But it is very frustrating.
Had to call my wife in the middle of cooking
(01:22:38):
this wonderful meal to load up our daughters come in
a van down to the store to bring a spare
key to unlock the door. One an evening and Birge
I just simply say he's got a picture of both
of them sitting there like they're going to leave. One's
in the driver's seat, one's riding gun. Are you serious,
And he said, what an evening? And what about the dog?
(01:22:59):
Look at that there's to you? But uh, they're they're
just looking out like what's up?
Speaker 22 (01:23:05):
Man?
Speaker 4 (01:23:05):
Yeah there there they're happened to me. Yeah, great, terrible
for baby girl. Baby, baby girl. I kept trying to
get her to hit the button again, hit the button again.
She's just sitting there. Yeah, I mean, what's funny. I
was at the Vets, so I walk in to tell them, hey,
uh uh of what had happened? Oh, I know why.
(01:23:29):
I wanted her to pay. I put her in the
car and went in to pay. Anyway, they said it
happens all the time here at Vett's. They said it
actually one knocked it out of gear one time and
the car rolled off and went in a ditch. What unbelievable,
you know. Yeah, and then you know, Gary had his
dog dri I looked up and there I went. That
was funny. But the road, that's but I called the
(01:23:50):
local police and they came did the door. So I
don't know if it'll just said, I emailed it to
if you. But what's funny is these two dogs have
looked like they positioned themselves in the car like they
were leaving. That's one is driving and one is right in.
Speaker 9 (01:24:07):
Kevin by the way.
Speaker 4 (01:24:09):
Please look, Oh that is looks like it looks like
do you think Kevin drove? Is that same mixed then?
Uh a little bit bully.
Speaker 9 (01:24:22):
Yeah, he doesn't have that. He doesn't have that like
fluffy tough on his chest.
Speaker 4 (01:24:26):
Those are two big dogs.
Speaker 9 (01:24:27):
Those are big dogs.
Speaker 4 (01:24:28):
You love that one has gone to the driver's seat
like they're ready to go. They look just like they
drove that. I got shot gun getting the back. Yeah,
that's but you know what you do so long? Come on,
and you know you said the same thing, Greg, those two,
if he just kept driving, they would have gone back
(01:24:48):
to the house. Yeah, I mind doing that to me
all the time. But especially if he sees the trash
can in the back. He knows I'm gonna stop. Then
the driveway, he'll come on, but he he'll go back.
What about the dogs? Have you have the Midnight writers
come back? I know the other about two days ago
when I left, I saw them, but they didn't tear
(01:25:09):
nothing up. I'm waiting on him. Moms. She's got some
moms out. They ain't gonna survive. They're gonna eventually say them.
So think about this. This guy is I mean, dinner's
almost ready. All he's going to do is going to
grab some sweet tea and the doctor prepper two or
three minutes away. And because of these dogs, it turns
into a major order. Where they were sitting in that car.
(01:25:30):
That is funny that. That's to me. The thing that
gets me about the dogs is when they do something,
they sit there so calm, like, what what what's up?
You locked me out of the car. I'm sorry, I
don't have the ability to reason. What are you saying.
Speaker 13 (01:25:43):
Some of the.
Speaker 4 (01:25:44):
Funniest videos are people when the dog has chewed up
something and there's like more than one dog and they're
sitting in there asking who did it, and they're going,
that is funny that those are hilarious. That's the one
that he took his hand and went and poked his buddy.
Speaker 23 (01:25:57):
You know what.
Speaker 4 (01:25:58):
I have seen that video too fun and believe it
or not, I watched it and they have that look
on their face like I'm called, yeah, now, I look,
I know we all do this dog thing. We made
find the guy yesterday acting like he was the voice
of his dog. But when we still had dogs in
my dog years. I can remember, you honestly know, and
(01:26:19):
I can't explain it. I don't know what it is
about them when you come in the room, if they've
been under your authority and they understand it's best a dog.
Can you know what they're supposed to do and not do,
and they know that they've done, they have a look
on their face like a kid. They you know, caught me,
Yeah right, who did this?
Speaker 11 (01:26:38):
I know?
Speaker 4 (01:26:38):
And they'll put their head down. It's really weird. It's
pretty fun because that tells me, though, you did it,
and you did it deliberate, Yeah, and now you knew
you shouldn't be doing. And that's the part that I
have a problem with. And this suddenly I've become my
parents because they said the same thing to me. Y'all
know that the Catahulla leopard dog is the became the
state dog of Louisiana. You're just a state had I
(01:27:00):
knew that had state flowers and birds and all that.
I don't know. Hula Parish, Louisiana. Speedy if you ever,
if you this has been going on for years, Speedy
has always had a bit of of breed arrogance. Whatever
breed he has, if you try to talk about this
breed is here? He comes, Yeah, and he's got a
(01:27:22):
lot to say Australian shepherd, how much Australian shepherd. And
he won't just say I have a dog, an Australian
have a blue myrle?
Speaker 22 (01:27:32):
What?
Speaker 4 (01:27:33):
What was these other things he's doing?
Speaker 15 (01:27:34):
Now?
Speaker 4 (01:27:34):
What are these dogs he's got?
Speaker 22 (01:27:35):
Now?
Speaker 4 (01:27:36):
I know you got the catalou or whatever, Cada hula
come in Australian shepherds, Australian ship. You know that Greg Huskies.
He's gonna take you when you remember the husky brings
up husky. They were in your world a lot because
that run to the stage. They would. That's funny. But
Speedy's always gonna tell the breed of his dog. He's
not just gonna say he has And he won't just
get a mutt. No, I didn't get cutty. When I
(01:28:00):
cutty he came and then he comes. Now, did you know.
Speaker 10 (01:28:02):
Native Americans used the cataholla leopards for hunting.
Speaker 4 (01:28:06):
Large game bar and stuff that day of model Oh yeah,
get them ready? Tell you one thing? You your information
on the cattaloo or whatever it's called. An a's freeley
days been mind boggling. Yeah. Yeah, Look, if you're jealous
of Cudding, I can bring him over.
Speaker 13 (01:28:22):
Ready.
Speaker 4 (01:28:22):
No, I'm good, won't cut you know, I'm good, I'm good.
I'm jealous. I'm afraid of might storm.
Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
This is the Rick Burchers show, Men Don't Run in
the Rain, the new book by Rick Burches, available no
wherever you get books.
Speaker 4 (01:28:50):
By the way, just got an update on that. Uh
it's not gonna I mean sooner than later. Looks like
Men Don't Run in the Rain will be coming to
all the major retailers and bookstores. So that's kind of cool.
Speaker 13 (01:29:03):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:29:03):
So thanks for all of you out there that picked
up a copy of the book. It has h caused
the big boys to go, hey, maybe we should carry
you that. So thank you for that. I'll update you
on that. We're trying to make some decisions on exactly
where it will be available. Uh, so you'll probably see
us doing a little more. I'll probably have to do
a little more marketing and do a little more and
(01:29:24):
some more interviews and stuff if that happens, because they'll
certainly want some pr support for that. So but thank
you for making that happen. We're just so grateful, all right, so,
and thanks for the feedback on the book too, still
coming in and got yesterday, did you know what you
want to feel like for a minute when you know
these markers that kind of make you feel old? Yesterday
(01:29:46):
I got a text from do you remember Kevin Drake? Yeah,
with your friend of ours. We did a lot of
work with him, and you know, back during the XFL
and you know he would and actually he and I
coached a little lead together for a little while and
and all this. But to me, Kevin dra for the Boats,
he played for the Boats, played for the Cowboys. To me,
(01:30:08):
he always seemed like I felt more father figure, like
he was one of my sons versus like I know
he's not I know, he's not that much younger than me,
but he feels younger. I think he's probably what I'm
I'm he's probably twenty years younger than me, probably, And
we used to run the old studio. He had the record,
(01:30:29):
he had the record of the forty and great a Cowboys. Yeah,
so he sent me, yeah, yeah, he sent me a
text with a quote from the book. He said, I'm
writing right now, listening to me, I don't run in
the ring. The audio version, so we haha. And then
the very next picture he sends me he's holding a
grand baby, a grand baby. I'm like, you're a granddad.
Speaker 9 (01:30:51):
Okay, So he's around fifty, isn't that old?
Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
Yeah? Man, okay, well he's older than I thought he was.
But wait a minute. He also so he's eleven years
younger than me. I mean, that's not that far from
twenty nine years. Double he felt younger than me, that's double.
He felt too young to have a grandkid. He's Papa
drugg in the past, I know, But.
Speaker 9 (01:31:11):
I really I'm twenty years younger than you.
Speaker 4 (01:31:13):
I always think, always think that I'm the only one
I keep people in their perpetual youth, I guess, and
I don't. You haven't seen them in It's just like
the same thing, you know, Like when I see all
these people that I considered that we used to watch
and they're all dying, and in my mind they're always
the age they were, and I realized, well, my gosh,
they're in their eighties is my days? Yes, as freely
(01:31:35):
at seventy four today. But anyway, I had look, I
was just a little taken back that Kevin Drake had
a great baby and I didn't. Okay, you know it, okay,
and so so congratulations, Yeah, congratulations to Kevin.
Speaker 10 (01:31:47):
Something we haven't discussed, but it's real for you. Awesome buddy,
And that is you're going to be in a movie. Yes,
and we're interviewing the guy on Monday.
Speaker 4 (01:31:58):
And oh no, different movie really, sorry, ultimate in that
movie we're talking about money. Oh, okay movie, different movie. Okay,
different movie. But you don't do a guy about a movie.
The movie you're gonna be in, though, do you have
the script?
Speaker 18 (01:32:15):
I do?
Speaker 4 (01:32:16):
And what are you playing?
Speaker 3 (01:32:18):
Go ahole?
Speaker 4 (01:32:18):
And can you talk about this? Because sometimes they say
big adventure. No, I don't know whether I can talk
about it or not, but I am.
Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
Did you hear that?
Speaker 18 (01:32:28):
Well?
Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
Of course he is right. You're playing a coach. I'm
coach coach Erison, so coach of what it's it's speedy.
He was quoting some of the lines to me in
a minute.
Speaker 13 (01:32:39):
We're gonna.
Speaker 4 (01:32:42):
Next week, I think next week, because I'm supposed to
do my part one week from tomorrow, so so next
week that's what is happening. I don't know how about this,
but I think I'm all day at it. But I am,
But my mile scens not that big you. I'm so confused.
So the Interview Monday is not about this. No, the
(01:33:04):
Interview Monday. The Interview Monday is about a movie that's
coming out that's really really important about It's it's this
ongoing argument that we've talked about back in the Rick
and Bubba days for years, is that the government schools
are not implementing separation of church and state correctly. And
(01:33:27):
people have often said, really, you really, there is not
a constitutional mandate to remove faith based curriculum, prayer, all
these things out of government schools. That's just not true.
And so there's a movement that there's taking some of
that back. And there there is a movie that is
going to remember when when Kirk Cameron did the movie
(01:33:52):
that was talking about homeschooling and all this, this movie
is going to be talking about that that the government
schools and bringing biblical truth and all that back into
the government schools. How this movement has legs and how
it's how you do it and so and you played
(01:34:12):
the coach of the school I know, and this one
I actually play a principal. Uh, And I'm the bad guy.
I'm against the bobber No no, it's not that, but
so that this is just one movie. We're helping out
that movement on Monday as as because I think it's
important just to let people know. But no, the movie
I'm in and it's still being done, it's called God
(01:34:34):
Did It. I don't know if I'm supposed to say
that or not. And it's an incredible it's an incredible
story about a man's life. That's incredible. I mean, unfortunately
I'm a little rough on him as the coach. That
sounds that sounds cooling on but it's no tangled well
it's not.
Speaker 8 (01:34:49):
It's not.
Speaker 4 (01:34:50):
How many lines does this coach have?
Speaker 12 (01:34:52):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:34:53):
All right, yeah, stand up real quick, because I want
to I want you to be the prince. I want
you to be a princelle. And you tell me that
I need to let Sanchez be on the football team.
Say I need to let Sanchez be on the football team.
And I want you to say, am I Am I
trying to be convincing? Or am I pleading? Or what
(01:35:14):
you're You're kind of like, come on, you don't have
to start it. Just let them be on the team. Okay,
all right, now, look, man, let's get Sanchez on the team.
You don't got to start him. Just let him be
on the team. Hey, let me tell you this. If
he gets hurt, it ain't on me.
Speaker 9 (01:35:27):
Wow, all right, boy, hey, Seymour Hoffman.
Speaker 4 (01:35:32):
And then and then we'll get out on the field
and we'll get out on the field and then I
kind of eat Sanchez up? Can please Sanchez? Can I
ask you this? What's your problem with Sanchez? Well, he
needs to get out of the way. I need you
to Greg being Sanchez. Yeah, great, great, great? Oh no,
you will be Sancha. Okay, And let me tell you.
And I'm coming down hard on you. You're driving the
hammer right because you've you've become a bit of a
(01:35:53):
bip out of here. Oh wow, Look, Sanchez has got
some challenges. Okay, what do you mean? And coach Errison
should be nicer. So Coach Harrison don't want to be
the mentor to say, well, coach Harrison is like I'm
trying to he's supposed I'm trying to run a football
team out here, and y'all put Sanchez on. I don't
know if he's probably signed some agreement. Ye wait a minute,
(01:36:15):
so you mean tell me Greg's gonna have to play
somebody with challenges, and this back and the fourth and
this some health challenges, health challenge, I can lamp Okay,
Greg is boring?
Speaker 12 (01:36:25):
Now?
Speaker 9 (01:36:25):
Oh uh, mental health challenges.
Speaker 4 (01:36:28):
No, I didn't say that.
Speaker 24 (01:36:30):
Here you go.
Speaker 4 (01:36:31):
I should be talking about trouble. So you can't be
in a movie or see a movie and you say everything,
You're gonna get kicked out. How many points again is
on the back end? You can go? They asked me
if I wanted to just to guarantee for the day,
and I saw, I'll take points.
Speaker 11 (01:36:46):
Now. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:36:47):
Look that the movie may never get off the ground.
But I mean, I'm just telling you that Sanchez better
step up. Let me tell you why I took the part.
I'm just gonna tell you right out loud a. It's
a good story. Then you're starting to acting correct, right,
b I get to play a coach. See my son
didn't didn't put me in his movie. Oh I get
it here.
Speaker 11 (01:37:05):
I know what.
Speaker 4 (01:37:05):
You don't think I'm good enough? That's fine. I'll look
at this. You come to see me as coach Charrison. Yeah, okaya?
And they got a ten. Yeah, you did your little
movie and I don't. I didn't get a call. You
sure didn't. Didn't get a roll in it.
Speaker 9 (01:37:17):
Just let Sanchez be on the team.
Speaker 4 (01:37:19):
Well if you get a place. Hey, let me tell
you this, y'all can all love Sanchez if he gets
hurt on this field? It ain't on me there it is. Oh,
what are you doing?
Speaker 22 (01:37:30):
Son?
Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
This is the Rick Burgers Show only in America. Could
these four men do this for a living God? Bless America?
(01:37:52):
This is the Rick Burgers Show.
Speaker 4 (01:37:57):
Here we go, America. Thank you for being with us today.
And uh, all right, so speedy after further review of
the script, that you were actually Sanchez's dad, not principal.
You're James's dad, okay, and you're trying to get me
to put your kid on the team and think it'll
be good for him. But anyway, this is some of
you are picking up on text nation. You're you're familiar
(01:38:19):
with this story. It's based on the book God Did
It by Sanchez Tannehill.
Speaker 18 (01:38:24):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:38:24):
Incredible first name, Yeah, probably incredible. Incredible story. By the way,
So all kidding aside, looking forward to being part of that,
have you signed a I don't know, I don't think
maybe I'm not supposed to talking about it. Uh, but uh,
but anyway, I need to get my lines together. I'm
gonna need to run those a little bit next week
(01:38:46):
I'm thinking about because I know they'll have been wardrobe. Well,
what I'm gonna do is, I'm gonna go get me
some back coaching shorts. I'm gonna get me so, give
me some knee socks, get my black coaching shoes, whitee
right about mid. Adler's got a whistle, and I've got
some whistles at home too, for my years of coaching.
And I'm gonna get me your shirt taking in half in,
(01:39:06):
half out, and then I'm gonna put me a truck
her hat on, and I'm gonna go to town with
somebody in here. Okay. So Greg will be Sanchez, Tony Hill,
you will be James Sanchez is dead, okay, okay, And
Adler you will be Victoria, one of the teachers.
Speaker 9 (01:39:20):
Okay, Yeah, good Victoria.
Speaker 4 (01:39:23):
Yeah Victor.
Speaker 9 (01:39:26):
Give me sounds like a woman's name, give me her.
Speaker 4 (01:39:29):
Well, it's going you have to really act, Okay.
Speaker 9 (01:39:34):
Yeah, Hey, class, let's get let's let's learn from stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
I don't I don't know if she's gonna shake her
head and let me let me tell you, Victoria is
a teacher who he believes in Sanchez, Well.
Speaker 9 (01:39:48):
The little difference between spectacular and super extraordinary is that little.
Speaker 4 (01:39:53):
Extra Oh you know what in my line? Was the
line that I from you is if he gets hurt,
this better not blow up in my face. I'm gonna
change that line. I kind of, I kind of like,
it's not on me. I'm gonna change it. Rick changing
not producing this.
Speaker 9 (01:40:13):
You're not the writer.
Speaker 4 (01:40:14):
You're just going to play a role. But if you
look at great actors time, how many times do we
hear that there was a great actor? He said, you know,
that really wasn't the line, but the actor suggested this line.
It actually was better that happens.
Speaker 9 (01:40:26):
All the time and not all the time. I don't
like a couple of times.
Speaker 4 (01:40:29):
Yeah, yeah, I don't think it's happened much. And it
was like probably some welled up to now, your only
movie line has been no.
Speaker 11 (01:40:36):
So I know it was.
Speaker 9 (01:40:38):
Nope, right, but it was a good nope.
Speaker 4 (01:40:41):
You don't have that resume of what about? One night
and then Bubba and I interviewed Grace unplugged Rick just
that one did you even have a line? And then
I think we just interviewed her a lot. We were
ricking bo probably doesn't count, all right, So that love scene,
yes he did.
Speaker 9 (01:40:59):
It was the love scene.
Speaker 4 (01:41:01):
Yeah, we were.
Speaker 9 (01:41:04):
It was part of her radio tour and I was
one of the DJs on the radio tour and.
Speaker 4 (01:41:08):
Y'all hooked up and.
Speaker 1 (01:41:11):
Greg.
Speaker 4 (01:41:12):
It was weird because the director said, I gotta stop.
You want to keep dealing your head to the left.
Speaker 9 (01:41:18):
She didn't touch my leg, but.
Speaker 4 (01:41:21):
For the nude part, he did have a body do
a little sweet, a little sweet.
Speaker 3 (01:41:33):
It's good.
Speaker 4 (01:41:35):
I gotta run my lines next week. And you know
I've only known about this for about you three minds?
Do you have more than just that? Did you guys
know that?
Speaker 9 (01:41:44):
Harrison Ford is one of the examples of which he
made the lines better. Harrison Ford, Princess Leah said I
love you, and he was supposed to say I love
you too, right before he was going to get frozen
in the carbon night or whatever, and he was supposed
to say I love you too, but he goes, I
know you're right and disappear.
Speaker 4 (01:42:03):
Great line it is, by the way. Jack Nicholson also
changed the line I'll give you the truth to you
can't handle the truth?
Speaker 9 (01:42:10):
Oh yeah, because he was just in the moment.
Speaker 4 (01:42:13):
You can't handle the truck. It was supposed to be.
I'll give you the truth and he but he changedes
to you. It's a lot better, so much better, you
know what I meant? Actors ever, Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:42:31):
At Harrison Nicholson Burgess.
Speaker 4 (01:42:37):
Right, can y'all imagine what I'm almost saying? And I say, uh,
blow up in my faces. It's a good line. But
what do you think about it? If he gets hurted
in on me? There, he's already rewritting the script. Just
show up. But you show up and just hang out.
Won't know where his trailer is? Now, where's my trailer
to sit in? I get to really jump on Sanchez
(01:42:59):
right here? What's he thinking?
Speaker 18 (01:43:02):
Have they?
Speaker 4 (01:43:02):
Have they heard the audible of men don't run in
the rain? I don't know what? So is that what
got him? That's probably what did it? No, No, it's
a oh boy. This is a really strong line here,
probably the turning point. So you haven't read any of that? No, No,
I've read some. I'm ready to go. I'll be ready.
I'll be ready to a gamer. I can't wait. You
(01:43:23):
eat Sanchez up? Oh yeah, I get on him pretty hard.
Speaker 9 (01:43:26):
Here you are, Rick, I think this is your outfit
costume right here.
Speaker 4 (01:43:29):
That's it exactly.
Speaker 12 (01:43:30):
There we go.
Speaker 4 (01:43:30):
That is that is exactly. I cannot wait tight coaching.
I cannot wait. Coach GiB the young man and I
get on some kid named Williams. I get on some
kid named Williams on the team to Williams. For the love, Williams,
that's not your assignment. You take the near side linebacker
and the guard pulls around to the end. I ride
(01:43:53):
four ninety four, get sweep on one. Write it again.
Is he supposed to be that main that's a little
too much? Is that too much?
Speaker 9 (01:44:04):
I don't know if they're supposed to say, for the love,
I don't think that's.
Speaker 4 (01:44:08):
I'm telling you. Rick's the coach in varsity blues. Run
it again. Maybe he's saying, hey, man, run it again, guys.
I'm not that guy. How about this? If you play
for me, you know what your hey.
Speaker 21 (01:44:19):
Run it again?
Speaker 11 (01:44:20):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:44:20):
But I got We're gonna run it and run it
and run it until we can run it in our sleep.
Run it again. I added that sleep part. That's good.
But you're playing coach Harris, not coach Burgess. Coach Harrison. Harrison,
excuse me? Okay, all right, well we'll work on what's
coach Harrison's record? He's pretty good. I don't know. Is
it a legend? I think that Coach Harrison is the
(01:44:42):
kind of person that comes in and he's a program changer.
Now is he really ready to deal with Sanchez? Apparently not? Okay,
but but we'll deal with that, uh tomorrow. That ain't
on me. Don't you think that's a better line than it?
Better not blow up in my face?
Speaker 18 (01:44:57):
No?
Speaker 9 (01:44:58):
I think blow up in your face is good.
Speaker 4 (01:44:59):
Let me tell you. Then if he gets it dre
and gets hurt, that better not blow up in my face?
What Miss Victoria? If he gets out there and he
gets yourself hurt, it ain't on me. He go Vicky.
I like the second one, Miss Vicky, Miss.
Speaker 21 (01:45:12):
Miss Vicky?
Speaker 4 (01:45:13):
What what? Gracious?
Speaker 9 (01:45:15):
I'm trying to look for classic football Chris Vicky. That's
not my name either. You don't expect me to respond
to miss Vicky.
Speaker 4 (01:45:24):
I don't care. What Why are you responding, Miss VICKI
if I'm heard you are referring to as miss Vicky.
I do have a name. By the way, If I
keep this up, Auburn's gonna harm me. Okay, so let's
oh gosh, those are a good adler and that's exactly right.
Something wrong with code Greg.
Speaker 9 (01:45:42):
Greg, There's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 4 (01:45:43):
Coach just face okay, all right, okay, so yeah, some people,
some people actually know the story. Then they can tell
me more about coach Harrison. Yeah, and and people are
really see based off a real person. People want me
to work the line, and you must not know about
me from I So now we're doing chats, y'all, y'all
come out here being sloppy. You're standing around, and let
(01:46:05):
me tell you something. Y'all must not know about me
because it's that hope tolerated out here. I can't stand
a sloppy drill. I mean I can't stand it. Let's
run it again. Oh boych problem Sanchez, what.
Speaker 11 (01:46:18):
Are you doing.
Speaker 4 (01:46:21):
To get out of my back? Can either do something
or get out of the way, okay, because if you
get hurt, okay, hey, if you get hurt out here,
it ain't on me giving it all. I got, give
it all, I got one hundred and ten percent. That's
really not possible. I'll tell you what, won't you won't
you go back overhere, won't you go back over there
with miss Vicki? And yeah, and y'all work it out,
Miss Vicki.
Speaker 9 (01:46:43):
So, Rick, are you gonna are you gonna do like
make up for this role that you're Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:46:51):
Coach Harrison. I know that the character is a black man,
but the coach Harrison must not be.
Speaker 9 (01:46:58):
Oh oh okay, I'm not.
Speaker 4 (01:47:01):
I'm not black. Yeah, so Greg, we will have to
put your make up on you.
Speaker 24 (01:47:04):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (01:47:04):
Is that allowed?
Speaker 9 (01:47:05):
I don't think so. Guys, No, I don't think you do.
Speaker 4 (01:47:09):
Dropic fund. That was an exception and it's just wear
the black shirt again, right, okay, and speedy your ball.
But we're gonna have to work on you a little
bit too. What do you mean because you're James your
sand Chez is dead and Misspeaking, don't you get too hot?
Speaker 17 (01:47:24):
Flu you.
Speaker 23 (01:47:30):
Terrible?
Speaker 11 (01:47:32):
So I like that one.
Speaker 9 (01:47:34):
I'm like the feisty teacher that everybody.
Speaker 11 (01:47:36):
Wants to get with.
Speaker 4 (01:47:37):
Right, Okay, that's what I can do that. Do you
remember life anyway? You remember when I was Actually they
were enthusiastic about me being in the movie.
Speaker 14 (01:47:45):
I just.
Speaker 2 (01:47:47):

Speaker 4 (01:49:40):

Guys, this is I wouldn't be surprised.
Speaker 4 (01:51:29):
Hey, it ain't on me, but listen, Charles Nelson Riley, look,
go back to this again. These are wonderful people with
a wonderful story. Thinking is on you, thinking, thinking bringing
somebody from this show on. It would be a wonderful
public relations for the show for all this, and I
should have never brought it up. I have instant regret. Yeah,
(01:51:52):
this turned into some weird not as much as they
do right now, but no, not even have Rick Burgers
Show unscreen phone calls go ahead.
Speaker 11 (01:52:02):
Do you know what it feels like when you have
to take a big dump?
Speaker 22 (01:52:06):
Right?
Speaker 4 (01:52:07):
Rick Burgess Show, Rick Berger showscreen.
Speaker 11 (01:52:13):
Good morning, you heard a honky.
Speaker 4 (01:52:17):
You heard any now? Rick Burgess Show on screen phone
calls go ahead, Long time listeners, Thank you very much.
Speaker 11 (01:52:28):
Just a quick question for you.
Speaker 17 (01:52:29):
You got any answers to bring Bill back around for
a special show?
Speaker 4 (01:52:34):
You know what I can't. I can't understand you. I
can't understand what did he say? Obviously, could not understand
that I heard something about Bill maybe bringing Bill back
for a show. Okay, that's it. Uh No, we don't
have any plans to do that, uh so, but uh
but I appreciate you supporting what we did in the
past and supporting what we're all doing now. Thank you
for that very much. Rick Burgess Show, unscreen phone calls
(01:52:56):
go ahead.
Speaker 11 (01:52:58):
At all.
Speaker 17 (01:53:00):
From thirty eight down here on the beach calling that
that guy from Milton. I mean he's not on the beach.
I mean I'm on thirty eight now. I work down here.
I work in between Alice Beach and the Seaside. So
oh yeah, I do understand what he's talking about, because
we just moved back. We lived here and we moved away.
Speaker 11 (01:53:23):
We're back.
Speaker 17 (01:53:24):
I don't have the Florida tag, and people will treat
you totally different.
Speaker 4 (01:53:29):
Yeah. I love that area. My family has spent so
much time in that area exactly where you are, and
love it down there. But you know, I'm with everybody else.
I mean, I don't think the Milton guy can say that,
you know, if we come down there, that we're just
like all the Northern's because we're north. Yeah, and we
got our own and we got our own beach. You know,
(01:53:51):
he's upsets some people this morn.
Speaker 9 (01:53:52):
I would say that anything east of Apalachicola is technically Alabama.
If you're if you're south of Dothan to the to
the east, then it's good.
Speaker 4 (01:54:01):
He's west west Adler Greg Burgess Show dot Com.
Speaker 9 (01:54:06):
Y'all can have you know, Tallahassee into the east and
we got everything to the west of Apogeological and National Forest.
Speaker 4 (01:54:13):
Purchase. Go ahead.
Speaker 25 (01:54:18):
Hey guys, good morning.
Speaker 23 (01:54:20):
I like Charlotte by saying green acres and monkey grass
got you working. Yes, sir, I'm just gonna say I
enjoyed the new show. I listen to it every morning
on my way to work. But I was just wanting
to scream out, roll there there, that's terrible.
Speaker 4 (01:54:39):
Such a long pole up, such a long way. Greg
Burgess show, go ahead.
Speaker 11 (01:54:47):
Hey guys, listen this morning.
Speaker 17 (01:54:48):
You guys are talking about little miss Princess breaking wind
and thinking it's funny because you all don't think that
was planned.
Speaker 11 (01:54:55):
I mean, that wasn't live edited. So they got more likes,
and you guys gave them all kinds of refusers on
people looking at him.
Speaker 4 (01:55:01):
Now, well, can I tell you something, though they earned it,
you think we're gonna let that stroke? No, I mean,
if that's what they were intended to do, it worked, yeah,
because it's never not funny, and they sold it where
it didn't look fake. Maybe it is, but they they
didn't look fake, right, Rick Birders show unscreen phone calls,
(01:55:22):
go ahead.
Speaker 11 (01:55:23):
Hey, I've got an idea for a new bit for
the Wheel of Bits.
Speaker 12 (01:55:27):
Bundles and bucks.
Speaker 11 (01:55:28):
That will be guaranteed comedy.
Speaker 9 (01:55:30):
Go Okay, it is Larry karaoke.
Speaker 4 (01:55:34):
M okay, So would Larry have to sing whatever song
they say if they spent it?
Speaker 11 (01:55:41):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:55:42):
Okay, look that's not bad Larry. Ok that's good, Victoria.
You have to call Larry and let him sing that.
A lot of moving parts, A lot of moving parts.
Thank you, Greg for imia trying to be a real
Greg once again. The mayor of Not So Pleasant Valley
right uh Man Werder show on screen phone calls, go ahead.
Speaker 15 (01:56:05):
It is uncle Lewis. The holiday season is upon us.
So I got some things I'd like to say. Okay, hey, Gris,
if you're not doing anything predactive, go into the kitchen
and bring me back my show.
Speaker 4 (01:56:24):
He got it. Larry does sound a lot like that.
Speaker 15 (01:56:29):
You couldn't hear a dump chuck driving through a niil
glysering plant.
Speaker 4 (01:56:34):
That's good.
Speaker 13 (01:56:35):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (01:56:36):
That's good Man, that's good.
Speaker 15 (01:56:38):
Did the room clear out?
Speaker 17 (01:56:39):
Hell?
Speaker 15 (01:56:40):
No, she means present. You shouldn't have brought presents.
Speaker 4 (01:56:45):
It's he's got it. Good. We ran out of top
before the blessing. They want you to say the blessing.
Speaker 2 (01:56:53):
I needed that one.
Speaker 4 (01:56:56):
He's got it down. The box seats were rolling in.
Greg's already eating, by the way, Vox eats. You're killing Greg.
You are killing Greg Bowl BA Bowl some reason already
standing up so you already ststed out.
Speaker 13 (01:57:08):
I'm read.
Speaker 4 (01:57:12):
Time of the hour.
Speaker 13 (01:57:13):
We'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (01:57:14):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. This is the show
that the world desperately needs, The Rick.
Speaker 6 (01:57:28):
Burgess Show, Well said Ken osbur And a brand new hour,
a speedy Greg and Adler.
Speaker 4 (01:57:35):
Here the Vox seats. They settle in a Burgess ball
battle coming up a little later in the program. The
winner goes to the the will, but so does the
loser because we want to make it as socially awkward
as possible. So that's that coming up in a bit
here on a brand new Rick Burgess Show. Thank you
(01:57:57):
for being with us. A couple of updates. Do want
to let you know this if you are looking to
come to the Manchurch conferences in January, we have two
this year our next year. The last two weekends of January.
You can go to the Manchurch dot com ur Rick
Burgess Show dot com and get all those details who's speaking,
who'll be there. But I'm trying to keep you updated
(01:58:20):
so that you know, if you're wanting the early access tickets,
Birmingham is down to ten maybe something like that. So
if your group is wanting to have early access, that's
a different ticket. You need to grab those for Birmingham
because they're all but gone and startvill It's probably now
(01:58:42):
somewhere around seventy, So those are the early access tickets,
or you can get the general mission tickets until those
rooms are full. But just want to give you a
heads up on that. As the hour starts and we
welcomed our guests and we have other things to cover today.
But apparently, and some people like you said yesterday no
(01:59:03):
our adler said, or maybe both of y'all said it,
that the left is going to kind of hold out
on the government being closed down so they can get
through another No King's Day, which is tomorrow. Is that right? Well?
Greg gutt Felt from Fox and Greg's a card, no
doubt about that, But he also has a lot of
(01:59:23):
logic and common sense which makes him crazy dangerous. But
one of the things we've pointed out throughout our existence
in this industry is that when your worldview is emotion based,
you're horrifically inconsistent and you see this, I mean, over
and over again, the fact that Greg gutt Felt is
(01:59:46):
going to make such a simple point on something that
if you're a leftist and you're going to participate in
No King's Day, that should be blatantly obvious to you,
and it would be if your worldview was logical, not emotional.
So here is a Greg Gutfeild courtesy of Fox Saturday.
Speaker 26 (02:00:05):
I love the no Kings thing because if its very
existence proves that it's not necessary. You know, if there
was this was a king led country, you wouldn't be
able to have your no king's protests. I mean, who
are you protesting? Spain, Denmark, Cambodia, Dana they have a king.
Speaker 4 (02:00:23):
Yeah, good point. So if you understand this is again
we have a generation of people that have no idea
what it's like to live under a king, thank the Lord,
which is what the founders wanted. The king would not
allow no King's Day. If you were under you know,
a king, then the king would say anybody does no
(02:00:44):
King's Day will be slaughtered on the spot, and I
will take everybody and I will put them in the dungeon.
We will, you know, hang you up. You don't get
to do that when you live under a king. So
Greg Gutfelt logically points out the fact that you can
go out and call it no King's Day means there
(02:01:06):
are no king or you wouldn't be able to even
do it. Yeah. So so no, we we don't have
any kings. No one is capable of being a king.
Speaker 23 (02:01:15):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:01:16):
And it's also odd that you support a party that
tries to grow the central government that looks a lot
more like a king than conservatives who try to have
a smaller government. So you got all kinds of problems
with you know, king protests.
Speaker 9 (02:01:29):
Yeah, and we already celebrate a no King's Day, it's
called July fourth Independance Day.
Speaker 4 (02:01:35):
Well said. And we do not live under a dictatorship
because you could not, you cannot address a dictatorship. They
don't let you. You're killed to protests, will not have
you're killed for even trying it.
Speaker 14 (02:01:49):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:01:49):
The other thing that we brought up yesterday, but it's
continuing today on our brief update on things of the
political today. Uh, a lot of these celebrities, and we
mentioned it yesterday, they're starting to be called out because
it's almost like they don't they can't speak anymore. Yeah,
and they were the college campuses and free Palestine. Cease fire.
(02:02:13):
Now all these protests, so Trump announced October the eighth,
as you remember that Hamas agreed to release twenty remaining
living hostages held in the Gaza Strip in exchange. This
is big for Israel, freeing about two thousand Palestine prisoners,
(02:02:35):
including as you've mentioned, Manytimes, Speedy and Adler, two hundred
and fifty convicted terrorists. So during the address to the
Israeli Parliament, this was held as a historic day. So
there has been a ceasefire. There is some sort of
(02:02:57):
peace plan, and this has stopped, which is exactly what
these celebrities in the college campuses were protesting. And none
of them have said one word about it. It's completely solid.
And so the word that's being used, especially for these celebrities,
(02:03:19):
this feels a little more and I've never heard this term,
but it's a good one. It feels a little more
like performance activism as opposed to true activism. Uh, you're performing,
you want to be seen. As Greg would say, and
as he has understands society unlike any other you're trying
to be sharp, You're you're trying to be sharp. I
(02:03:43):
don't know where these people are that asked for somebody
to do something and Trump did and no respond And yeah,
because it wasn't just Hamas that had to bring something
to the table, so did Israel. Uh so you can't
say that he put a deal together that was Israel
weighted only we Certainly he certainly stands with Israel more
(02:04:05):
than he does in eyes. I'm not saying that, but
the ceasefire including Israel, included Israel having to give up
something to it. Yeah, so I don't know where they are,
but they they're not saying anything about it. Artists for
such celebrating. Oh, we had a group called Artists for Ceasefire.
This is literally a ceasefire, film workers for Palestine. Nothing.
(02:04:31):
They've got nothing to say. I thought this is what
they wanted. So evidently not be careful. I mean, do
what's right, which is I think what Trump is trying
to do. But don't Ever, when negotiating with the emotional left,
your motivation can't be to appease them because you never
will never no matter what you do, because they have
(02:04:53):
no advantage of complimenting you for anything, even if it's
what they asked you to do don't miss that that
that gets into that perfectly, That gets into that the
reason trying to reason with the unreasonable period because I
think they're no, he's done with well no, remember I
think I think you've ever been around these people? Yeah, coach,
(02:05:15):
well let me tell you. Coach Cherrison said this better
not blow up my face. I'll tell you that intended.
But but have you ever been around those people that
they seem to thrive in drama? Oh yeah, it's almost
like they claim they want problems solved, but it's problems
that feed them and if it's gone, if you if
you resolve a problem, it almost doesn't make them happy.
It almost makes them sad. What they gonna do now,
it's like it's their lifeblood. I must have problems. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:05:39):
But Ruby and Ezra fighting over a toy last night.
I said, all right, I'm gonna set a one minute timer.
Ruby gets to play with that toy for one more
minute and then it's your turn, buddy, because as we're stomping,
you know, he'll stomp those little legs will stomp like
like a mule, stump that tiny, tiny, tiny, tiny mule.
So anyways, then it goes by. I have the toy.
(02:06:00):
I'm about to hand it to him, and he doesn't
want the toy. He just wants to stomp. You've gotten,
You've given him the thing. I was like, Okay, you're
you're just you're just an angry little boy right now, and.
Speaker 4 (02:06:15):
You're an angry little stomp You're an angry little elf.
Speaker 9 (02:06:17):
Yeah, that's that's what you're seeing with these lefties. There's
no real there's no real anything behind it. It is performative.
It is an outlet for their Unfortunately, I'm so sorry
for them, honestly empty lives. They don't have purpose. People
need purpose in their lives. And when you don't have it,
you get angry, you feel helpless, you feel out of control,
(02:06:37):
and you go and you lash out, and you don't
have a good example probably as far as as far
as how how to live a purpose filled life. And
it's honestly, it's it's sad. And you see so many
lost and just purpose less people in our in our country,
in the world.
Speaker 4 (02:06:53):
Well, when you when you look at what, especially when
we've gotten to the point where you go, okay, I agree,
let's get this done, and then that doesn't change anything. Yeah,
So you can't do it to be liked. You got
to do it because you think it's the right thing,
because once the left declares you an enemy, there's nothing
you can do to appease them. We'll be back. We
(02:07:14):
continue more than Rick Burgess Show. Right after this.
Speaker 2 (02:07:19):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. He was told good

(02:09:38):
So we have the hgging news. Did we have the
vox seats. This is twice a week when guests come
in and they hang out with us, and they're they're
wonderful people. They're all well meaning. Doesn't mean that everything
always goes the way it should, but I think at
the heart of it all, most everybody who comes in
here as well meaning. Yeah, we had one, we had
(02:10:02):
a wonderful well but we had that. We had a
wonderful fellow coming to see this last week. Mark is
that his name, Mark Memory? Okay, stepped out there. Okay, So,
but he was bringing us honey because we love honey,
and he and his wife are bee keepers. Unfortunately, he
thought he could have something and he stepped out of
(02:10:24):
his automobile and dropped a large jar of honey. Homemade honey,
homemade honey, yeah whatever, his his hives, bee keeper. Uh.
And it was all over the parking lot, little glass,
little honey. So we didn't think anything about it. We thought, well,
(02:10:46):
you know, nature will take its course to everybody out
there who's willing to lick it off the pavement, animal
or human. Good for you, Good for you. So today's
fox seats are coming in and one of them said, hey,
I had to move my vehicle, and we're like, what for?
He said us, I got attacked by bees. There's there's
(02:11:06):
bees all over the parking lot.
Speaker 9 (02:11:08):
Are it's not a small amount of bees.
Speaker 4 (02:11:11):
It is be It is the bee movie. Guys. There's
there's bees. Look at the bees. Look at that? Somebody,
Look how many bees are on that honey. Let's see
who can stand in on the longest? Go out there?
What on video?
Speaker 3 (02:11:29):
What in the world that?
Speaker 9 (02:11:32):
Look at that?
Speaker 7 (02:11:34):
That's a lot of bees.
Speaker 4 (02:11:35):
How much to walk through it?
Speaker 9 (02:11:37):
Go stand out there?
Speaker 11 (02:11:38):
Greg?
Speaker 4 (02:11:38):
No, I want to know how how much you give?
How much would you give? Nothing? How much would you
get me for me to walk through it? You gotta
just walk through?
Speaker 14 (02:11:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:11:50):
How about Greg will do it? No, I ain't. How
about I'll go stand right in the middle of the
two strips of honey. Okay, I will dance in it. Oh,
now you're up in the Okay, all right, I'll eat
the honey off the pavement with bees in it. Winter
I'll streak through it. Okay, Now get somebody hours.
Speaker 9 (02:12:14):
Did y'all see somebody walk out there just now?
Speaker 4 (02:12:16):
Yeah? And then I saw they were running across the right.
Speaker 9 (02:12:19):
What do you do?
Speaker 14 (02:12:20):
So?
Speaker 4 (02:12:20):
I don't do anything.
Speaker 9 (02:12:21):
We didn't do nothing to day.
Speaker 4 (02:12:22):
Why we're gonna do something?
Speaker 9 (02:12:23):
Now there's a there's a coyote out there.
Speaker 4 (02:12:29):
What's he doing?
Speaker 9 (02:12:30):
That's a lot of bees straight up, and people just
park there not knowing.
Speaker 4 (02:12:33):
I know it's going to be I didn't. Here's what
I didn't know. And and and I'm upset with myself
because I usually handle the nature segments. There's a lot
of bees. I didn't know that they would go after
honey that had already been made and jarred. And I
thought that's almost like they're like, yeah, we've already done that.
This is the finished product.
Speaker 9 (02:12:54):
There's a finished product. They want it.
Speaker 4 (02:12:55):
But I would think they would go looking for ways
to make more and not go get some that's already
been in a drawing.
Speaker 9 (02:13:00):
No, I think Jack Daniel says, hey, is that some whiskey?
I'll take some.
Speaker 4 (02:13:05):
What a bizarre analogy that is. But yeah, the so
uh how much? How much to go lick it?
Speaker 11 (02:13:13):
No?
Speaker 9 (02:13:13):
Oh, just run past it?
Speaker 4 (02:13:15):
Seven fifty seven fift you'll go lick that honey off
that pavement for seven feet with bees A one time.
I'm in.
Speaker 10 (02:13:21):
You'll give me seven and fifty dollars, right, now I
really believe you just have got eh fact that I could, well,
the company may it?
Speaker 4 (02:13:29):
Can I get down and lick it? Where where the
jar is? Well, you know you have to look right
there on that strip where all those bees. But the
biggest pile is up. Yeah, so you've got to get
through the bees to get to it. Yeah, the big
there's a big pile closest closer to the curve.
Speaker 9 (02:13:45):
The ground is covered with bees where the honey was
right by the way.
Speaker 4 (02:13:48):
Yeah, yeah, they were in it. What are they own
right there? Is that not strips of honey?
Speaker 9 (02:13:54):
They're down in the strips of honey.
Speaker 4 (02:13:55):
You just kind of yeah, yeah, we have it straight up.
Speaker 10 (02:13:58):
We got a problem here. I don't know that we do,
but there's a problem out there. If those attack somebody,
that's not good. But how's that our problem? I just
said it's not okay, but it is a problem. Well,
I mean, I don't know, what do you what do
you do with that?
Speaker 4 (02:14:11):
What gets that cat litter? Somebody said that look at it,
the cat litter, I don't know. Just drowned it with something. Yeah,
that's not that's not going to hell. Okay, who's got
cat litter? You Oh wow, that's a lot of bry
to go get some around the corner? Good at fifteen hundred.
I ain't got to go up with that shot we
just had as a shot that's on somebody's rearview mirror. Yes,
(02:14:34):
but I'll go stand.
Speaker 17 (02:14:35):
In it now.
Speaker 4 (02:14:36):
You moved it to fifteen hundred. I know we're not
going fifteen hundred. No, okay, I mean one, no, nine
fifty seven fifty is my file off for you to
lick the parking lot? Honey?
Speaker 10 (02:14:47):
Can I go?
Speaker 4 (02:14:49):
Can I put my tongue on it?
Speaker 11 (02:14:50):
Do I have? Oh?
Speaker 4 (02:14:51):
You have to lick some up?
Speaker 8 (02:14:53):
Huh?
Speaker 11 (02:14:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:14:54):
So bad.
Speaker 4 (02:14:54):
Somebody would walk by and start slapping a question. You
can't wish that I'd be put question. That would be funny.
So if I go down, Yeah, I go down. I
gotta I get seven to fifty. I don't know, but
I mean get just two hundred of it because I
got to go confirm you do. You ain't getting nothing?
Well I get I gotta confirm it. We got cameras
(02:15:15):
you can five five to fifty two hundred for reference.
If I got to put my tongue on it, I'm
getting the seven fifty. But you're gonna have to you
have to take some money up in there. I'm about
the fact you're eating some skank that honey that's been
on the ground bee. I'm seven to fifty richards right,
so ye hurling. So for some reason you got to fifty.
(02:15:36):
You're just standing around confirming what you do. Look at me,
put myself in danger. There's bees out there, and al
Ferness I said, two hundreds, not too fifty. No, he's
not getting to fifty out of mine too, not out
of mine. He's got to go out there and get
confirm it. Because when I were at nine to fifty,
because he's getting two hundred, I'm netting seven fifty time.
(02:15:59):
If I gotta do that, I'm going to do it,
and I need to see the cash.
Speaker 2 (02:16:04):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. It embraces mediocrity. They
(02:16:28):
are thriving the Rick Burger Show.
Speaker 4 (02:16:33):
All right. So speaking and then hang on, I'm gonna
get to the bottom of something here. So in the break,
we're trying to, you know, figure out. We do have
some bee keepers that are saying, if you just leave
the bees along, they'll clean up the honey and then
they'll be gone. So they're they're doing their job. ALM.
Speaker 10 (02:16:55):
But so, I mean I need I need this guy
here the six o seven to call, he said, I
can explain what's going on?
Speaker 4 (02:17:04):
Are they going to are they? Are they getting all
the all the honey? They're gonna be gone when it's gone,
That's what he said. Yeah, that's a lot of honey. Though,
I'm calling big time Take a minute. I'm calling big
time Rush to account. Okay, what's this beating liquor? Well,
it's gonna be tough. Can I wear anything over my
head like a net? All right? So can you job?
Can you hear Rush? This is Rick. We're live on
(02:17:26):
the air.
Speaker 18 (02:17:27):
Yes, sir, So.
Speaker 4 (02:17:30):
What bt R?
Speaker 18 (02:17:31):
So?
Speaker 4 (02:17:32):
I want to ask you it's maybe I know you've
done a lot of accounting, but doing accounting for this company,
I know it's been a new experience for you. So
do we buy any chance? Could we give Speedy like
seven hundred and fifty dollars a bonus in his neck
tax free and his next tax tax cycle if he
licks honey off the parking lot? Okay? Yeah, so I
(02:17:59):
like it, and I'd like it.
Speaker 10 (02:18:01):
Uh, I'd like the first installment under six if I could,
I'll take five, Okay, and then to fifty to keep
it under six hundred.
Speaker 4 (02:18:10):
How does that sit with you? Big time?
Speaker 18 (02:18:11):
Rushing, That's fine. We'll work out the details later. But yeah,
that's totally fine with me.
Speaker 4 (02:18:19):
Okay, See, we we have that if we get him
to lick honey that has bees on it in the
parking lot, we can put we can give him a bonus.
Speaker 18 (02:18:27):
I mean, I feel like he's selling himself short. Honestly,
I agree.
Speaker 4 (02:18:30):
I thank you, Rush, thank you big time. Don't no,
big dude, I want to go through a number. Well,
after seeing them out.
Speaker 18 (02:18:37):
Of bees, you got to understand what your time is worth.
Speaker 8 (02:18:39):
Man.
Speaker 4 (02:18:40):
That's a good point. Don't we just go fifteen hundred.
It ain't gonna take long quick at seven hundred and fifty,
we've seen the bees out there. This is the same account.
I'll do it for nine. This is the same account
at these that every time somebody wins on the wheel.
He texted me saying, well, there go some more. That's
layers of bees right there. Yeah, that's all. Have you
have you have you seen that's worried about that? Honey?
Speaker 18 (02:19:03):
I haven't seen it. No, I just I just got
in the office.
Speaker 4 (02:19:06):
Can I let me ask you a question.
Speaker 10 (02:19:07):
Can I give me an index finger full of it
and then lick it? Can I bend down and get
me an index finger and then lick it?
Speaker 4 (02:19:13):
I kind of want to bend in licking it.
Speaker 9 (02:19:15):
No tongue to pavement five hundred for that, No tongue
to pay?
Speaker 11 (02:19:20):
All right?
Speaker 4 (02:19:20):
I think I think, don't you think Russia? If we're
gonna give a seven hundred and fifty dollars bonus five
hundred one month to fifty another? No, not a month? Well,
how are you going to stretch it out? No? Just
give it to you. You want to change our pay periods?
Speaker 9 (02:19:31):
No?
Speaker 4 (02:19:31):
I want money? Okay? All right?
Speaker 18 (02:19:33):
Sounds like he wants straight cash under the table.
Speaker 9 (02:19:35):
Yeah, yeah, you want to do it illegally?
Speaker 4 (02:19:38):
Give me two checks? Just send me Timmy, send me
two checks. Okay? Alright, five hundred and two feet. In
order to get to fifty, you have to get on
all fours and you have to go down there and
lick some of that honey off the parking lot.
Speaker 18 (02:19:54):
I think that's I think that's reasonable.
Speaker 4 (02:19:56):
Okay, thanks you Rushing?
Speaker 6 (02:19:58):
Are you in?
Speaker 11 (02:19:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:20:00):
Think of that faith? Do you think rush letson in
his whole his whole life that big time rush. Has
ever had a client to make that kind of call.
I don't think so, probably not. That may be a first. Yes,
you can't fake it, Yes, but you can't fake you
can't fake that. I am gonna have to ask you
to go out there and confirm. Oh yeah, I'll be there.
(02:20:22):
He could, he could. I would like to go serveyers.
It might not be worth it, to be honest with you,
I'm gonna get popped probably ten times. Go survey it
and see if you think that you're still in because
you just heard that I've just found it in the budget. Okay,
so go out there and all right, somebody said they'll
come do it for three fifty. All right, but but okay, okay,
(02:20:45):
all right, all right, but this can't be some sort
of you know, did you say be?
Speaker 9 (02:20:49):
This can't be that's isn't it?
Speaker 4 (02:20:51):
All right? Speedy's going outside your life, anybody? All right?
So we're going out to the bees, all right, Yeah,
Addler's giving y'all a shot out of it if you're
watching on YouTube. Yeah, okay, So all right, so, oh
look at them. I don't know about Oh my god,
I don't know about to get closer there we are.
(02:21:14):
All right, we see them now, right there they go.
Look they're walking right into the bees. They're walking right
in the bees. I think somebody got I think they
must be done. Man, can I Oh my god, they're
going to get me.
Speaker 9 (02:21:26):
Man, y'all are close to that?
Speaker 12 (02:21:28):
Am I really going to get paid?
Speaker 4 (02:21:31):
Yes? Of course, I mean, but I mean this ain't
no joke, now, honey, last forever, you ain't got to
worry about the honey. The bees are the problem. And
of course everything that's gotten on that in the parking lot.
Speedy almost got stone. Did you see that, addler?
Speaker 9 (02:21:48):
Yeah, they're right up and near it.
Speaker 4 (02:21:50):
All right, somebody's about to get popped, all right. Greg
just seems to have no concern about the bees at all.
All right, So speedy as you look at that, are
you saying, I don't know, man? Can he speedy? Speedy?
He almost went in for the league, did you see him? Yeah?
All right, so speedy right.
Speaker 11 (02:22:09):
About seven seven?
Speaker 25 (02:22:10):
I'm just thinking about seven fifty.
Speaker 4 (02:22:13):
Yeah, I know, wou'd you say? Greg? Flash in it? Speedy?
All right? So right now, speedy Gregson. Gregson for some
reason getting down on his knees.
Speaker 9 (02:22:23):
You got to move to your right, Speedy.
Speaker 4 (02:22:25):
Speedy's down his knees. Move your right. He's moving in
he's moving, he's moving.
Speaker 3 (02:22:32):
Really getting on Speedy got stuck.
Speaker 4 (02:22:40):
Greg's getting stuck. They're sticking both of them. They're running
for their flats until they got stuck the speedy guy.
See what that they're they really got after Greg too?
Did you see him?
Speaker 8 (02:22:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 17 (02:22:53):
I mean, oh wow, Okay, hey, this this end here's
worse once it will they attack me?
Speaker 4 (02:23:00):
Only problem there is a lot of glass involved.
Speaker 9 (02:23:02):
All right, don't don't block my camera, please, Greg, move
to the right, right or left one of.
Speaker 4 (02:23:07):
The watch out. All right, Speedy, just go find something
to how many glass in it? And go down there
and get your tongue and just take a littlettle bit
of honey and all right, So he's out.
Speaker 11 (02:23:18):
There, we're playing in the street.
Speaker 9 (02:23:20):
We got a car coming Mark Common Game off, Car
Game Off?
Speaker 11 (02:23:32):
Do you think I should get more than seven? Fie?
Speaker 4 (02:23:34):
No you can't, No, no, no, we've already made the deal. Yeah,
a lot of people you're gonna get stock. I guess
what I'm what I want to know is that if
they start popping me, am, I gonna be like, how
about Greg's eating so many cinmon rolls. They think he's honey?
Speaker 11 (02:23:48):
Could could I can I get a long shirt on?
Speaker 12 (02:23:50):
Could I put a long shirt?
Speaker 4 (02:23:51):
Oh my goodness, speedy, go just just you get some honey.
Speaker 9 (02:23:54):
Be done with your arm hair will protect you speed?
Speaker 4 (02:23:56):
Yeah, well, you got so much arm hair they couldn't
sting you if they tried.
Speaker 9 (02:24:00):
They're getting on it.
Speaker 23 (02:24:01):
They are.
Speaker 4 (02:24:01):
They're not gonna let your speedy. They're gonna protect that honey.
All the bee keepers are texting and saying they're gonna
protect the honey. Oh yeah, So well I'm there, I
just can't get my mouth on it, right, Well, so
something you got you just like.
Speaker 12 (02:24:18):
It's like if my feet were mouth, I would be
licking it right.
Speaker 8 (02:24:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:24:24):
Yeah, that's true, right because it's like it's like I'm there.
Speaker 4 (02:24:29):
I mean they're tearing that honey up.
Speaker 9 (02:24:30):
Okay, So the reason what I'm afraid of is that
when my head gets down on it and I start
to lick it.
Speaker 4 (02:24:36):
Right, are they going to attack me at that point?
Probably so probably, So.
Speaker 9 (02:24:40):
You have to face the building when you lick so
we can confirm the leg Greg's there.
Speaker 4 (02:24:44):
Will we be allowed Greg to be confirmation or do we.
Speaker 12 (02:24:47):
Y'all, y'all, they are swarming all what.
Speaker 4 (02:24:52):
They're swarming?
Speaker 11 (02:24:55):
Huh?
Speaker 8 (02:24:56):
Your money here?
Speaker 4 (02:24:57):
Greg can first one the leg yester money?
Speaker 11 (02:25:00):
Can?
Speaker 4 (02:25:01):
I look right here? I don't know what that is?
Speaker 1 (02:25:04):
What is that?
Speaker 4 (02:25:04):
I don't know what it is that.
Speaker 7 (02:25:07):
Here's that honey?
Speaker 8 (02:25:08):
Here?
Speaker 4 (02:25:08):
That's not that funny? Is that honey? I think that's oil?
Speaker 23 (02:25:14):
Oil?
Speaker 4 (02:25:15):
Here he goes, he's going, you go here, he goes, here,
you go? Is that honey?
Speaker 7 (02:25:21):
Is that honey?
Speaker 3 (02:25:23):
A little more?
Speaker 4 (02:25:27):
He's going for the len, He's going in for the liking.
Speaker 3 (02:25:42):
Absolutely alight, Oh my goodness, this is what.
Speaker 12 (02:25:56):
We do for a living.
Speaker 3 (02:25:58):
So we'll come back.
Speaker 4 (02:26:01):
We'll tell the Speedy and Greg as they come off
the battlefield back to the safety of the studio. Boy
Speedy really trying to somebody get him a thorough breath.
Speaker 2 (02:26:12):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. The people who don't
(02:26:35):
like this show, you wouldn't like anyway, the Rick Burgess Show.
Speaker 4 (02:26:45):
Alrighty uh, so we're back. Speedy and Greg have returned
from the parking lot. Speedy successively lick some of the honey.
It was not easy. It was not easy, and he
gets a bonus.
Speaker 8 (02:27:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:27:03):
I was prepared to call no, no rep But he
got it really when look he tried to he tried
to take the easy route and eat the thin part. Yep,
I moved him a little further through the right before
we're counted, you did? I saw you that it's good
to have it? Okay, Yeah, there's got Thank you to
one of the box uh seat attendees.
Speaker 8 (02:27:20):
Today.
Speaker 4 (02:27:21):
They had a toothbrush and some toothpastes. About that that's had.
That's being prepared, right. They had a little dental kit
in the car. Well, how about that's the way to
be prepared. I was able to. I gave you a
scrub on that tongue a little bit right. But hey
that you see right there in that line, I could
taste the honey. Just so you know, I will say this.
These are getting after it. If you want to double it.
(02:27:42):
You see the thick line, you gotta lit one of
the bees. No, right then on top of us, they're
just you. You can't get to the honey right there?
You mean double it? Like I get a total of fifteen? Yeah,
what are you doing? Well, I'm just saying we've got
see where they're they're piled up. You got to touch
the bees with you you can't you take it out
of touch the bees with his tongue. This is turning
into y'all want me to get stung. No, I thought
(02:28:03):
you got popped right here. They did. They did get you.
Speaker 9 (02:28:06):
Yeah, they only stung you once because that you know,
bees don't like smoke.
Speaker 4 (02:28:09):
Oh that's goodtias.
Speaker 1 (02:28:13):
Hey.
Speaker 9 (02:28:14):
Honestly, they look stirred up speed. I think you did
something to them, like stirred up their pheromones.
Speaker 4 (02:28:22):
I looked on them all. Bee keepers are saying, let
it go.
Speaker 18 (02:28:26):
Now.
Speaker 4 (02:28:26):
I am surprised, And it might be because of the
bees that the glass has not been cleaned up out
of the parking lot just a few days later. I
thought it was. I thought it was cleaned up when
it was spilled, right, But I mean, I'm talking about
the people that keep the parking lots clean probably said
I ain't going over there where a bunch of bees
are that, And.
Speaker 10 (02:28:45):
They probably didn't even see it because if cars are
parked there, you don't even know it's there. So good
scooped with the allright, I will y'all me into just
doing something y'all wanted me to do.
Speaker 4 (02:28:55):
Well, that's exactly what happened.
Speaker 9 (02:28:57):
Yeah, when We came in in the middle, you know,
the middle of the morning. It was all dark and
the bees weren't out. And I think that's why those
people part right there, because they parked right up on
it and the bees weren't out yet. The boy, they're out.
Speaker 4 (02:29:07):
Now, your vehicle is still in it, right you moved?
Did all y'all move out of your you know, the
black you're still in the bees? Yeah, the black vehicle
is with the dad here with my good boys.
Speaker 9 (02:29:18):
Oh okay, yeah, you send a bad example for those kids.
By the way, speed, I would.
Speaker 10 (02:29:23):
Get in in the passenger seat. Your kids do not
do this at home. Yeah, I don't think you have
to tell them. I would get the passenger seat and
pull up.
Speaker 4 (02:29:29):
And let them jump in. Well, the good news is
it's an adventure. Guys. Going back to the truck tod
and you walk through the bees. Yeah, and never forget it.
All right, that's a lot. That's a lot of bees,
it is.
Speaker 7 (02:29:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:29:48):
I was intimidated by the pile that pile right out
front there like that. If you're somebody who works in
this building or you're visiting Sweet two hundred, that seems
to be the only two categories of people that were
call you either work here or you're coming to Sweet
two hundred. If you have a bee allergy, if you can't,
if you can't be stung by things, just be aware,
(02:30:10):
get your EpiPen out and get ready. Just know over
around where the vox seats are lots of bees. Should
we call Casey with Shamrock Management? Do you who has
the building? I think? I mean if I were him,
I don't know what he can do about it, but
I mean just probably he probably wants to know. But
you don't have They're not really aggressive. They're not they're
not they're not really aggressive. And over the weekend it's
(02:30:30):
a ghost town around here. I'm not still wondering if
by the weekend it's gone. Well, if they get all
the honey, they'll be gone. That's what they're doing. They'll
be gone. How'd you like that be gone? Well, that's
his check with it Monday. Yeah. Do you want to
let him know about it? This is how you're just
how your ditch doesn't get weedy? Doesn't do you want
why you got you call the building and tell them
(02:30:51):
now you can go ahead?
Speaker 22 (02:30:53):
Nah?
Speaker 4 (02:30:53):
Well, Greg, you don't want people to come. I mean
they need to You can't see bees. What if Casey's
got a bee allergy? I mean you say them from
a mile? Yeah, so you want those chicks broken into
two Chicksay? Just kid, Just you have folding money, I'll
take it. I don't have it. Hey, Casey, it's Speedy
(02:31:14):
with Rick Burgess Show. We're live on the air. Can
I speak with you? Okay? So, uh the other day, well,
how do you exp We had some honey that was
brought to us by a listener and and the jar
was dropped in the parking lot. We didn't think anything
of it. Uh, but but today we see there's a
(02:31:34):
swarm of bees around it. Now, I'm just letting you know.
I think it's gonna be okay, but the bees are
tearing it up, and there's there's a hundreds of bees
out there, and and I just wanted you to be
aware of it. I don't really know what you need
to do about it, but it just makes me feel
better letting you know. Okay, Okay, Yeah, you didn't think
you'd get that. You thought would be like a toilet call.
(02:31:56):
Good Newslets backed up good news. Speedy went out.
Speaker 27 (02:31:59):
Daniel the other remain this guy call me and he's like, hey,
I think I heard him calling saying your.
Speaker 4 (02:32:03):
Name out there. Yeah, yeah, Daniel.
Speaker 22 (02:32:06):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:32:06):
Well I went down and I licked it a little bit.
He did it from yeah, yeah, but hey, but I
got seven fifty for it, and so I got seven fifty.
If he would lick it for seven fifty, did you
would you would you put your tongue down there and
lick it for seven fifty.
Speaker 11 (02:32:25):
Dollars?
Speaker 4 (02:32:25):
Yes, sir, Yeah, I did that. Well, Casey, y'all do
an amazing job with the management of the buildings and
uh and so I just wanted you to be aware
of it. And that's why he needs to know I did.
I said, it's a swarm of bees A right way, Casey.
(02:32:45):
I'm giving you to I'm giving you to Rick Casey. Okay, Casey.
The only reason why we let you know, and I
know we don't have a PA system here at the
building or anything, but if there's people, you know that
have b allergies or something like that, they probably need
to be aware. If you over here by our office
there's a swarm of bees.
Speaker 2 (02:33:03):
Okay, yeah, we won't get over there and handle it.
Speaker 4 (02:33:05):
Ask him if there's a hose around here, the bees
are handling the bees. You want to go to the
glass up the bees are getting rid of the honey,
so in time that's gonna happen. Nobody cares about the glass. Yeah,
but there is glass out there too, the well pick
it up. But it's hard to get to the glass
because you got to go through the bees. So you know,
we did our part by daring Speedy to go lock
some off the parking lots that yeah, and I did.
(02:33:27):
So it's not like we're not trying to help. Do
I get the seven fifty? Like when I do it?
Speaker 9 (02:33:33):
No, I've got it.
Speaker 4 (02:33:34):
Yeah, No, I got the seven fifty already. I just
wonder know if you would have done it. You're right
if you wasn't. Hypothetically, don't go out there and start
linking it. Yeah, and as you just want to in
a minute, we're going for fifteen hundred. He has to
let a bee land on his tongue. Yes, for two seconds, Jasey. Thanks.
Just want to give your heads up and tell them, Hey,
this is life having us as tenants. Yeah, sorry, buddy,
(02:33:56):
Hey and Casey and Casey the uh it's it's a
crawl from the box seats or you can't door. Just
look for the bees. It's but it's on the uh,
the the street side, not not up against the building.
All the bee people are saying, please don't kill the bees. Yeah,
and the bees are just they're they're working their little
tails off. So I think it's gonna be gone here shortly.
(02:34:16):
We just want you to know.
Speaker 20 (02:34:18):
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out what I need to
do so I don't hurt hurt the bee.
Speaker 4 (02:34:22):
Yeah, you know, we got to have bees, Yeah, we do.
We gotta have bees. I wish there was like a
fog machine or something just to get them out of here.
Let's say, get a shovel, scoop the glass up and
let the bees do the rest. Okay there you god? Yeah,
Greg saying there's a little bit of glass, pick it up.
You stop, we should or scoop it up. And then yeah,
(02:34:42):
are you just light up.
Speaker 20 (02:34:43):
One of those around as well?
Speaker 11 (02:34:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (02:34:45):
Some cones and you light up one of those?
Speaker 4 (02:34:48):
Yeah, okay, man, thank you. There he goes. He's thinking seriously.
I mean he normally gets like a toilet. If I
was Casey, I would want to know. Yeah, yeah, I mean,
we we have a responsibility. I thought we never thought
about it after he told us. Did you notice that
some of them are dead out there? You know they
(02:35:10):
don't say that the people can't take it. No, we
didn't do anything. Some of them are just laying in
the parking lot out there like they got like the
odd on. Yeah, they ate too much, honey, And look
what happened, Like when comes in. There's there's a by
the way. There's a beekeeper not far from here. I've
seen his beehives or herbert bee hives. Oh, I bet
that's where if they came where if they came to
get them that ain't have bees to call a pro
(02:35:31):
they round them up and take them back. Rick, They
ain't that many bees. After Greg, will you dress you
dress up as the Queen bee and see if they'll
follow you out there? Top of the hour. If you
leave us, have a good weekend, don't miss those archives
today and.
Speaker 2 (02:35:47):
Trust me, this is the Rick Burgess Show, all.
Speaker 4 (02:36:08):
Right, America.
Speaker 6 (02:36:09):
Here we go, speedy, Greg Adler, all here for a
brand new hour on.
Speaker 4 (02:36:15):
Casting from Louis. Come on Beebel, join us as we
go through the final stories of the weekend or the
week head again to the weekend, and then we'll have
a burgess of ball battle this hour. For sure, we'll
(02:36:36):
put those two names, pulling them out of a hat.
We'll announce him here momentarily. Greg from the text nation Rick,
this is from my wife Lida. Oh from personal text.
If they're giving out that much money, you better lick something.
Speaker 21 (02:36:57):
Lisa Lely, what's going for it?
Speaker 4 (02:37:05):
Get some money? They find some dog something. Oh, that's good.
We moved one trust managements out there.
Speaker 12 (02:37:15):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (02:37:15):
They don't want to hurt the bees at all. Hurting
the bees. People are now driving by just looking good
job stumping on. Don't say that. That's Dan who said
I can't hurt it bee. If it's trying to sting
me people, we need bees, that's Daniel. The earth is,
you know, hanging on by a thread because of this
particular group of bees. You're dealing with the whole ecological system. Greg, Yeah,
(02:37:38):
I guess Daniel does not like the bees. He's with Casey.
Uh about this. Daniel is not a fan of the bees. No,
he's not. He didn't like him. I don't blame it.
Also from textation from some of our females in the audience,
this is just like men. You should have caught Casey
a week ago when it happened. Y'all gonna wait. Good,
(02:38:02):
burgis ball time. Speedia, head over to the court, Speedio,
head over to the court, and then he'll announce the
two people out of the vox seats that will go
head to head in the Burgess ball battle. All right,
here we go. We got Jeremy Sassar was drawn. Jeremy, Okay,
(02:38:22):
here we go. He will play Billy Harbin Billy Harvin,
Billy Harvin, Billy Billy. It is on shaking hands. Billy
will be to the left. Jeremy to the right. Boys,
we have got thirty seconds, twenty seconds. If everything counts
as a two, last ten seconds, everything counts as a three.
So do not give up and get ready set.
Speaker 18 (02:38:46):
Go.
Speaker 4 (02:38:46):
Here we go, Here we go. All right, they're off.
Jeremy to the right, Billy to the left. Jeremy's up
to nothing right now. Jeremy's right now. It's two to two.
It's two to two, twenty seconds. Not forgive me, red
heal two to two. It's four to four now, six
to six fifteen seconds left, six to six thirteen seconds left.
Everything's gonna start counting us three. It's ten to six
(02:39:07):
we got Billy up over this. Twelve's thirteen to twelve,
five seconds left, sixteen fifteen, nineteen, eighteen, twenty one, twenty
to twenty two to twenty one.
Speaker 14 (02:39:17):
But it's twenty two to twenty one, Billy Harvin wrinz
twenty two to twenty one, twenty two to twenty one, Billy, Billy,
All right?
Speaker 4 (02:39:28):
Where so, Jeremy, we called this the spin of shame?
Where you now will we'll spin? But you you have
nothing to gain here. We just want you to have
a spin of shame after getting beat by one point?
Speaker 13 (02:39:48):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (02:39:48):
And so did you ever play basketball? You like a
basketball player? We couldn't tell it. Well, well, that's a
those different. That's different are those are carnival rims and
the unforgiving rem and but you you hung in there
At one point I thought you want to roll. You
had a good streak in there, so you did not win.
So I want you, Billy, I want you to pay attention.
(02:40:11):
Whatever he spins you can have or you can say
I reject that. I want to spend on my own.
If you reject it, then you cannot go back and
take it. Okay, So, Jeremy, I want to hear you
say it's not will to me, and give it a spin.
All right, give it a rip. I'll to see what happens.
I was a smooth spin, smooth, smooth spin, a little
(02:40:32):
smooth yep, and I'll see what happens here. Oh this
looks good. Come around. Oh that's sad.
Speaker 18 (02:40:39):
Yeah, that's sad.
Speaker 4 (02:40:41):
All right. So that's Speedy's wallet, Yeah, yeah, yeah, so
that really means nothing. Speedy. We don't know where that
wallet is. None of us have ever seen the truck.
It's seven hundred and fifty richer though, well at some point.
All right, So Billy, I assume you don't want Speedy's wallet,
all right, you'll pass. So come on over, go over.
And so Billy, you're the winner, and the spoils go
(02:41:04):
to the winner. So you say it's will to me,
and spin it. It's will to me. He's gonna reverse me.
Speaker 7 (02:41:11):
We reverse now.
Speaker 4 (02:41:13):
So let's see what happens here. Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy, Okay, Billy,
all right, that's not bad. Yeah, you've got a year
subscription to Blaze TV. That's awesome, Billy. No one is
happier about that spind after the Honey incident than Big
(02:41:36):
time rush the accountant, but Blaze TV won year subscription
absolutely free. So congratulations to you, Billy. On the win.
You will get a chance to not keep a trophy,
but have your picture made with a trophy. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:41:49):
Now there comes Brad and Jeremy. Brad Sampson and Jeremy Sasser.
Speaker 4 (02:41:56):
Jeremy, they're on the big Boy microphone where we get
to meet the box seats. Hey you, buddy, I'm good,
have you? I'm good? Is this sweet?
Speaker 20 (02:42:05):
Two hundred?
Speaker 4 (02:42:07):
I've been looking for right, walking around with bees trying
to find that's so good? Well, you picked a banner
day to be here.
Speaker 27 (02:42:13):
Absolutely, and that was my fault, speedy, my bad. I'm
the one that parked over it first.
Speaker 4 (02:42:19):
Brought I did. Yeah, you really caused all that to
happen pretty much. So I'll take two hundred that.
Speaker 11 (02:42:26):
I do.
Speaker 27 (02:42:26):
Want to give a shout out to my daughter. She
turned eighteen last week, freshman in college. Gracy.
Speaker 11 (02:42:32):
Hey.
Speaker 27 (02:42:33):
And then I did have a I want to be
the first to wish Greg a merry Christmas.
Speaker 4 (02:42:39):
So he's got a gift.
Speaker 2 (02:42:44):
There.
Speaker 4 (02:42:44):
You get in there and get after it. Hey, now
what you got? What does it say? See, let's see
George straight, what is it up this alley? You are
aware that now that you're aware, thank you very much.
(02:43:05):
Absolutely yeah, thanks for you're clearly in the loops, so
thank you so much. And attacked Jeremy. Jeremy, Jeremy. I'm
trying to get over. It was bothering, buddy. You got
any questions or shout outs, I'll give a shout out
to my family, my crew at home. I got Johannah, Dylan, Eva,
(02:43:25):
and Natalie all right a great day and hoping they
didn't have YouTube, right, see what I did? Unforgiving Ram
forgetting got to get rid of them. But thank you.
Where are you'all from?
Speaker 27 (02:43:39):
By the way, I live in Eclectic, he lives. Actually
we we met in college. I don't know if y'all
probably don't premiere this. We play a little ball, play
baseball in college.
Speaker 4 (02:43:48):
That's okay. Just what positions you play?
Speaker 9 (02:43:51):
I was the picture in third Really.
Speaker 4 (02:43:56):
Yeah, athletes, now that what that usually means is you
hit good, but you're killing us in the field.
Speaker 27 (02:44:04):
He did fail to mention four years ago today I
actually married him and his wife and he's here with
you guys.
Speaker 4 (02:44:11):
Are you serious? That is true? A second I thought
you married him divorced clearly before that and you make
a great couple. But yeah, that's good though. Had to
be a special moment. And how don you'all be married now?
Speaker 11 (02:44:28):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (02:44:29):
Four years? Four years? You said four years ago, didn't?
Speaker 16 (02:44:32):
All right?
Speaker 4 (02:44:32):
Thanks you a lot, guess Brad Samtem and Jeremy Satz.
We come back. We haven't brought us bunch, come up
here to the Big Boy. Yeah, and then we'll also
say hello to our winner and the Burgess Ball Battle

Brede you better than not. And the daily archives either
on the podcast channels or on the YouTube channel. Any
parts you miss go pick them up. Well, we're talking
(02:45:42):
to the folks in the Vox seats and the broadest
bunch is here. And I'll tell you this is Cameron,
that's Daddy and then we got Hunter and we got Harrison,
who are here with dad and really you're talking about that. Dad,
being smart is had kept checking because he only had
two tickets, which could have led to drama. And he
(02:46:07):
kept checking, and we had some people that had conflicts
that canceled at the last minute. Yeah, and he jumped
in there and grabbed another ticket, paying attention. Can you
ask me? I asked you earlier, but so how did
you did? You just randomly tried that.
Speaker 22 (02:46:19):
So we had flag football games last night. So we're
getting kids in bed, and I started thinking older brother
was going, and I was like, this could be an
issue when the younger brother has to go to school,
you know, on a Friday. So yeah, we are skipping
school by the way, So yeah, trip, yeah exactly. So
I said, let me just look on here and see,
and there was actually two tickets. I said, you know what,
(02:46:40):
I woke them up. It's like, hey, you want to
go in the morning, go to skip school? And of
course he said, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:46:44):
That's a good day. Yeah, yeah, yeah, well that was good.
I mean, I hate for those people they couldn't come,
but it worked out for you guys. That's great, which kind.
Speaker 9 (02:46:52):
Of leads to it to a shout out.
Speaker 22 (02:46:53):
So my wife, My wife is actually at a daycare
working with two year old to day changing diapers.
Speaker 4 (02:46:59):
So off, I said, I'll take the I'll take the kids,
and you know, we'll go, we'll go have fun. So
shout out to Holly. She's uh working hard, working hard today.
You wouldn't believe, Holly, I've watched. I mean, Cameron has
been working so hard trying to keep these two.
Speaker 10 (02:47:13):
We're in a bit of a situation. And I apologize.
You know how far back this shot is. And I
told one of the boys, I said, if I make
this shot, y'all get to walk on the counter all
the way over to me. And I made it, and
I didn't mean to. I didn't think I would. And
so now they think they can do that.
Speaker 4 (02:47:30):
You don't step in the shining part. Be careful right here? Yeah,
well hang on, hang on, I apologize. Okay, So yeah,
don't step on the shining part. Yeah it's a trap
door and good job. Just go, big brother, get up there. Okay,
(02:47:56):
he doesn't very talk about that. Dad, See there, Holly.
This is not like some party.
Speaker 9 (02:48:06):
Shout out to their school.
Speaker 11 (02:48:07):
Thanks.
Speaker 4 (02:48:08):
I think we got it. Of course, ready.
Speaker 2 (02:48:12):
I shout out to.
Speaker 9 (02:48:14):

Speaker 4 (02:48:20):
Actual points for you.
Speaker 9 (02:48:23):
Yeah, I have a shout out to Arab Elementary School,
Miss Pomasano and Miss Phillips.
Speaker 4 (02:48:31):
Perfect. I love that. That's excuse. So so you've got
Holly and the teachers. Anything else, I think that's it. Well.
Enjoyed the rest of the show, and thank you all
for being here. It's a pleasure to teach you boys.
They've been well behaved, Holly, they have okay.
Speaker 7 (02:48:48):
So, Billy Harvid, Hey Billy, I I'm doing good.
Speaker 4 (02:49:02):
So where you from.
Speaker 20 (02:49:03):
I'm from Alpine, Alabama, Logan Martin Down area.
Speaker 4 (02:49:09):
Yeah that's a great place. Yeah area, see that a lot.
So you got any questions your shoutouts?
Speaker 20 (02:49:15):
I shout out to my lovely wife wasn't able to
be here this morning. Yeah, our five kids, thirteen grandkids,
seven great grandkids.
Speaker 4 (02:49:24):
Money, you got it, so keep up with I mean, yeah,
that is something I'll tell you that'll be proud of
you today. Yeah.
Speaker 20 (02:49:31):
I was impressed for myself. I never played sports, so
really yeah, how the older brother get hurt playing football
and mom wouldn't let me play, so trying.
Speaker 4 (02:49:45):
To ship My what you said, Yeah, it's just funny
to watch Jimmy's in a handle today. Jeremy mister, actually
never picked a basketball?
Speaker 11 (02:50:00):
What was not.
Speaker 13 (02:50:03):
You ever?
Speaker 4 (02:50:03):
Have you ever shot a basketball before?
Speaker 20 (02:50:05):
Yes, very poorly.
Speaker 4 (02:50:08):
Didn't start walking to yesterday.
Speaker 20 (02:50:18):
But God does bless.
Speaker 4 (02:50:23):
He does. Let me thank you for let me borrow
your toothbrush.
Speaker 20 (02:50:27):
Well, thank the wife for that. She just keeps the
kids in the car just in case.
Speaker 4 (02:50:34):
I'll give it back to you in a second. I
didn't expect you to have a tooth brush either.
Speaker 20 (02:50:39):
I expect when the Burgess ball.
Speaker 4 (02:50:43):
But if you think about Speedy, this was not a
big step. If I've licked the parking lot, take you
some of these tooth brushes. Nothing now, it was a
clean wouldn't have been used before. I mean, not much.
Speaker 20 (02:50:52):
But it has been a blast to be here today.
If you ever get a chance to come, and be
sure to come.
Speaker 4 (02:50:59):
I'm glad you're joined the show, and thank you for
the years of listening to the Rick and Bubby Show.
Speaker 20 (02:51:03):
Oh yeah, you go all the way back to Pygmy.
Speedy was at one of the football game doing concession
standard the week.
Speaker 4 (02:51:12):
That's right, it goes way back and the first.
Speaker 20 (02:51:15):
Time I met you, I didn't meet you, but you
remember Vindicator.
Speaker 4 (02:51:19):
No, don't tell what you fin let you down.
Speaker 20 (02:51:24):
So I had a cousin who had you a friend
who played guitar. Alex passed away from the chicken pox
ls is playing up and Jackson wond said, so do
you know whose saying is a lot now? I said,
Hurricane Rick.
Speaker 4 (02:51:41):
Watch So you saw that nickname was right? Yes it was.
Speaker 20 (02:51:46):
I said, well he's very energetic.
Speaker 4 (02:51:50):
So wow, language boy, that was a good show. Well,
you know, Vindicator was you know, underappreciated. But if we
were hard rock, that was true.
Speaker 11 (02:52:03):
Yes, it was.
Speaker 20 (02:52:04):
I enjoyed the rock. Me and Idler's got that in common.
You know, rocks my first choice, and I ride motorcycles.
Speaker 11 (02:52:10):
To who.
Speaker 20 (02:52:13):
He's got a lot of common being Greg both have
type too.
Speaker 4 (02:52:18):
He got something with Now do you do you play
any instruments?
Speaker 20 (02:52:22):
No, I could bear to play a radio.
Speaker 4 (02:52:25):
If he was in a guitar playing contest today, he'd
probably well you have been been a blessing. Yeah, I
appreciate that, Thank you. Billy enjoyed the rest of the show.
I did not vindicate. I did not expect Billy to win.
The burgers ball battle and went to see vindicators. Yeah
he is. He is an interesting man, not predictable. Yeah. No,
(02:52:48):
it's funny too because his wife told him he had
to sit in that seat. So it's that she could
see him on cameras. Oh well, how about that she
likes to take a look at her husband the lie candy.
Speaker 10 (02:52:58):
Yeah, you know back in the day when you had
me go check concession stands for their condiment teats on
who had them and who the teats?
Speaker 4 (02:53:06):
You remember if you remember that machine. Yeah, the teats,
that's what they are. I mean you want to call
them utters, you can.
Speaker 9 (02:53:14):
Whatever you call it.
Speaker 4 (02:53:14):
So, no, that's what they are, right, I mean Google tea.
I think you if you're like, don't do that equipment
for I wouldn't send that Google out to.
Speaker 18 (02:53:23):
The whole world.
Speaker 4 (02:53:24):
No, that's what we called them back in the day,
and we gave concession stands a pluses that had them,
so you don't you don't have your condoments sitting out
and yeah right, they won't nobody show. So there's squeeze squeeze.
That was good. No, the in concession stands, that's one
of the things that we had as a major, major
(02:53:46):
high score is if you didn't do those packs, because
even like the other night when you and I were
at the game, I mean, you're you're Greg just like
gave up that if they'd had to catch up and mustard,
you know, or utter or just even the condom. Guys,
don't be scared of it. That's what it is. I
(02:54:07):
think you I think you should be scared of it. Yeah. Possibly,
I mean I'm a fan.
Speaker 9 (02:54:11):
I'm just as scared of you saying it.
Speaker 11 (02:54:13):
Right.
Speaker 4 (02:54:14):
What is the tea when we come back? We come back?
It's out of control. There's a question from email and
the emailer only wants us to ask Greg the question.
And I can't wait to tell you why they will,
Greg danser Uh. And it also addler will probably lead
to the update that you have in video eight as well.
(02:54:35):
We'll be back more show after this.
Speaker 2 (02:54:38):
This is the Rick Burgers Show. America sleeps well every
night just knowing these four men are on the air
the Rick Burger's Show.
Speaker 4 (02:54:55):
Thank you very much, America sleep easy. Anybody need to
say a home and I mean sell it fast. Well,
that's the name of the company, sell my house fast.
Well what they do?
Speaker 24 (02:55:06):
Yep, you know you can.
Speaker 4 (02:55:07):
You don't have to ask, and you can find that
by going to Rick burgesshow dot com under the sponsor's
button to get that phone number. It's there. I can
give you the phone number though. They've been doing this
for twenty five years. So if you have a house
that you need to sell fast, even if it needs
some repairs, things need to be moved, they can handle
all that for you. The numbers one, eight hundred seven
(02:55:29):
three four zero five zero four. Also find that phone number.
As I mentioned at Rick burgessshow dot com under sponsors,
they have tons of five star reviews. They're on Google
if you want to go check that for yourself. So,
so don't let this be an issue. They'll get you
cash and they'll get it fast. You don't have to
(02:55:50):
pay any real estate agent to commissions either. Sell my
house fast, put them to work for you. So a
couple of things out of email, and I'll get to
the question. Are one thing out of email? Hey, uh,
I don't know if you have already said this, but
on the bee situation, I cannot believe that y'all have
not called Gary and say, hey, call me, we got bees,
(02:56:13):
because that's exactly what he did to me. I should
have done that. I could have come down. Yeah, thank
you for so much, Ida for that. But then we
get down to the question. The question was I want
Greg to answer this? Uh, and here is exactly how
it's worded. Hey birde A question that I believe only
Greg can correctly answer. And because he's very bright, well,
(02:56:35):
O that nice or as I would have probably said
it differently. He seems lit. But anyway, if a woman
is sent to the Mars colony has a baby while
there is the baby an Earthling or a Martian hmm,
(02:56:57):
that's I'm not sure about. That's a colliration rules of Mars.
Speaker 11 (02:57:02):
Right.
Speaker 4 (02:57:03):
Uh, that's tough. That is, would you tend to lead Earthling?
Since they still are parents of Earth? So what wouldn't
they produce an Earthling even though it would be in Mars.
I think he's got his arms crossed. I don't you know.
(02:57:23):
That's a tough one. Be honest, I'm not very bright.
Well he said you were. I'm gonna go because we
haven't established anything. I mean, even if you're up there,
you're visiting, that's right, you know what I'm saying. It's
not a country. So yeah, because if I was my
parents were American and I and I was born in
another country, I would still be an American because it
(02:57:45):
was two Americans that gave birth to me while they
were in this other country right visiting. Yeah, I don't know,
we'll find that one. You're like, huh yeah. On that note,
New alien documentary, Yep, the Age of disclosure. Oh we've
(02:58:07):
been hearing that for years and here it comes.
Speaker 11 (02:58:09):
Greg.
Speaker 4 (02:58:09):
Everybody stand by so Greg can reign on it, letting
them be nothing about like them Bigfoot shows, the the
big Foot, some of the descriptive language.
Speaker 3 (02:58:18):
Greg.
Speaker 4 (02:58:19):
An explosive documentary. We're gonna say tic tags again. That
will fill an eighty year old global cover up of
non human intelligent life.
Speaker 7 (02:58:28):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (02:58:29):
Well, if intelligent life exists, it ain't here sure, uh so,
not anymore.
Speaker 9 (02:58:35):
But this has testimony, testimony, Greg, lots of from thirty
four different US government insiders, including Marco Rubio, who you'll
hear from first.
Speaker 4 (02:58:45):
Okay, if you'll want to check it out.
Speaker 9 (02:58:47):
Yeah, here's the trailer.
Speaker 4 (02:58:48):
What is this coming on?
Speaker 9 (02:58:50):
It comes out in November.
Speaker 4 (02:58:52):
It'll be disappointing.
Speaker 9 (02:58:53):
Get ready yeah, yeah, November, Greg, November twenty first, it's
coming to Prime Video and select theaters. And you're gonna
hear Marco Ruby talking to Marco Ruby.
Speaker 4 (02:59:02):
You're talking about it.
Speaker 28 (02:59:03):
Do y'all want to hear it?
Speaker 12 (02:59:04):
Hear it?
Speaker 28 (02:59:05):
Okay, you've had repeated instances of something operating in the
airspace over restricted nuclear facilities, and it's not ours.
Speaker 4 (02:59:15):
These are other worldly things that are performing maneuvers that
have haven't been seen. I have seen with my own
eyes non human craft and non human beings.
Speaker 20 (02:59:30):
Right, this is so secret. There have been very few
people in our entire government that have been allowed or
provided access to it.
Speaker 28 (02:59:38):
Now what even presidents have been operating on a need
to know basis, But that begins to ramp out of control.
Speaker 24 (02:59:46):
It's not acceptable to have secret parts of government that
no one ever sees.
Speaker 9 (02:59:51):
What people have been hurt protecting and hiding this information.
Speaker 28 (02:59:54):
Some people claim that would cost them their lives, and
they spoke out about these things.
Speaker 22 (02:59:59):
You had information being locked away that could change the
trajectory for species.
Speaker 9 (03:00:06):
Years of secrecy, bone chilling.
Speaker 4 (03:00:14):
Jets.
Speaker 2 (03:00:19):
Ground race is the biggest discovery in human history.
Speaker 10 (03:00:23):
Okay, the age of disclosure, and we all look to
Greg go, We'll not live up to the hype.
Speaker 4 (03:00:29):
No way okay, start out, and then it's gonna be
vague and nothing like just like the big Foot shows
you they hear him knock on the tree a couple
of times. That's about all you get. It's not pleasant valley.
What did you say? It was not so pleasant valley? Okay, okay, valley, pleasant,
gruffy valley. But it's not pleasant valley. Or if this
(03:00:52):
was real, won't we be having big press conference and
we're going, hey, guys, here it is well, they're trying great.
Little Marco being on there gives it you know, legitate.
Why do we so it's Marco? But what what do
we mean by this? What are we talking about? I mean,
it's so is this always the thing? Adler? Because you know,
(03:01:15):
this is just how my mind works. Anytime somebody gives
me a conspiracy, I have to be shown clearly the
end game kind of like you flat Earth people, we're
pretending the world is flat for what benefit? Who benefits?
Right where NASA is given us pictures of the Earth,
but they're not real, you know, in the end game
(03:01:36):
is what any conspiracy thing? So we don't want people
to know that we have these unexplained things and we've
actually seen creatures that are non human. Uh, and we
don't want anyone to know that, because is it the
old thing of everybody? Yeah, they can't handle and everything. No,
(03:01:59):
I don't know what to me, I'm the opotion. Listen,
I want to know it. They're discredited a little bit
because I saw him updating Biden and we know that
what was that I've called out, Uh, some of these
other politicians, they got a weird look about him.
Speaker 9 (03:02:16):
They were saying that Biden. They showed Biden because they
were saying Biden was operating only on a need to
know basis. So they probably didn't tell him anything because
they you know, he would laugh about it while eating
ice cream.
Speaker 4 (03:02:27):
I would say, I would say the opposite. I thought, yeah,
but nobody would have thought that was serious. You could
have told him anything. It wouldn't have mattered because no
one would have taken any serious. Come on, But you know,
so is that it? We don't tell the American people
so they won't panic.
Speaker 23 (03:02:45):
Yep.
Speaker 9 (03:02:45):
But now we're in the age of disclosure.
Speaker 4 (03:02:48):
I will say this. These these space like aliens that
I've been hearing about for a really long time, they
are really procrastinators.
Speaker 6 (03:02:57):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (03:02:57):
They are putting off conquering Earth. They don't seem to
want to put control. It was a long time ago. Yeah,
I don't know if they're here to do anything. They
don't get around to it. And yeah, I mean yeah,
so I don't know that, Greg, they have they have
enough intelligence to come all the way from another solar
system into here, undetected, undetected and then want to interact
(03:03:22):
with Larry, Wayne and Overalls. I don't know. Yeah, they
land in Cornfield. It just seems they would have a
bigger agenda. I don't know, Guys, they spend a lot
of time watching and hanging out.
Speaker 9 (03:03:32):
It's like the song. It is the dunning of the disclosure. Yeah, disclosure.
Speaker 4 (03:03:41):
That's beautiful. But Greg, is this your attitude to this documentary? Yeah?
Right now till it proves me otherwise, Okay, because I've
been I felt for it so many times on any
any type. Hey, you can't canna believe what we got here,
and they teach you the whole time and they never
get to it. But you know where I am on
the Supernatural, We're we're doing a podcast about it tonight. Now,
(03:04:01):
these are the things need to be concerned about. But
I'll go back to this if you were to sit
me down today, shut my door in my office, I mean, burge, yeah,
straight up. They're hiding stuff from us. And then I
and what am I gonna do? Right then? What can
I do? What am I gonna do about it? Am
I should I start developing weapons to fight against something
(03:04:22):
that I don't know what it is? I don't what's
my move? What am I supposed to do about it?
Speaker 18 (03:04:27):
How?
Speaker 15 (03:04:28):
How?
Speaker 4 (03:04:28):
I mean? Do I go to the grocery store anyway
and pick up the stuff my wife said? Or does
that change everything? I may don't? They have to pay
all the bills much? Right? Dinner still showing up? I
think I gotta feed people. I don't. I don't know
what I'm supposed to do, how it would change my life.
Speaker 9 (03:04:44):
I heard some theories that this may be. You know here,
everybody says, this isn't us, this isn't our tech. What
if it's us looping back to us? Think about that dimensionally?
Speaker 11 (03:05:01):
Right?
Speaker 4 (03:05:01):
The next time you come through a coffee, let me
have a sniffle. Okay, yeah, buddy, I.
Speaker 9 (03:05:09):
Yeah, I always spending time.
Speaker 4 (03:05:12):
To me, there's two worlds. There's the demons and the angels.
Which is all the supernatural that I can stand. And
then I think, this other stuff over here, if it's
not in that realm, is more likely to be nations
developing weapons that they're keeping secret. To me, that's the
most logical answer, including US. I mean, I know this
(03:05:35):
gets brought up all the time, but we didn't. We
didn't tell everybody about the bat wing. And people kept
seeing that thing and they were certain that was spaceship.
And if you saw it, they didn't know about it,
you think it was a spaceship. Yeah, so.
Speaker 9 (03:05:46):
Yeah, obviously definitely. And if you saw, like even the
drones that I.
Speaker 4 (03:05:51):
Have, like that's right, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 9 (03:05:53):
Fifty forty you know, seventy years ago, if you saw
my drone flying around at night, you would look up
and say, oh my goodness, it's an alien.
Speaker 4 (03:06:02):
So you know, we know, Greg would say that the government.
Speaker 9 (03:06:05):
Has always been so open and honest about the technology
that you have.
Speaker 11 (03:06:10):
Bye.
Speaker 4 (03:06:10):
Unscreened phone calls wrap up the hour.
Speaker 2 (03:06:12):

Hey, Rick, I need to have Larry walking through the
parking lot showing up un announced walking to those bees.
Speaker 13 (03:08:06):
That s it's Larry and Carolyn. I think I see bees.
Is that speedy, Carolyn? Is that speedy licking the bees?
Speaker 8 (03:08:18):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (03:08:19):
I wish I could see you. I do lick that honey.
Speaker 15 (03:08:21):
Oh ca.
Speaker 4 (03:08:24):
Ca Carolyn Shirtless. I don't get a patch.
Speaker 9 (03:08:28):
I actually did go out there. I recorded just some
audio of me going out there. If you guys want
to hear that. Yeah, yeah, just some quick audio of
me going out and checking out the bees.
Speaker 25 (03:08:37):
So here you go.
Speaker 9 (03:08:42):
He's every Well.
Speaker 4 (03:08:48):
We continue. Rick Burgers Show on screen phone calls, go ahead.
Rick Burgers Show on screen phone calls, go.
Speaker 8 (03:09:01):
Hey, Cole Burton, listen, James, Well, I'd like to.
Speaker 3 (03:09:09):
I did.
Speaker 4 (03:09:10):
That was scary. It felt like tremendous discernment. Rick Burgers Show,
unscreen phone calls, go ahead.
Speaker 17 (03:09:16):
Hey, I was just gonna say, speaking on the Earthling
versus Martians, Yes, I believe he would be a first
generation marshal.
Speaker 4 (03:09:25):
Really, some people are saying that if you're born in
another country. You get a dual citizenships. Hey, you gotta
be both earthly and it is not a country. It Yeah,
maybe so dual planet. No, it's nice. It's just a
big pilo whatever. And and and we greg can't get
passed the back a little bit made a government. We're saying,
