and I know it's going to come across the wrong
way because I will say this, boy, deep down, everybody
in here, we picked joy over over it. We we
we choose to be joyful, except for Greg, but we
we we cheose we cheer, right. But I'm talking about
overall Thanksgiving. Overall we like having a good time, okay,

and we don't like taking things are supposed to be
fun and being the people think it's not fun. Okay.
But but I but there is this weird thing in
the human psyche. Okay, because you've seen it the whole
run from Thanksgiving through the New Year. It can bring
a lot of stress. It can it can bring it,
and I try not to get involved in that, but

some of it you can, you can't avoid. And then
you and I know this sounds odd, and for some
of you, this is not your hobby. You don't participate
in this, so you couldn't care less about it. And
that's deer hunting. Yeah, right now, deer hunting. I mean,
it's all we can think about, okay, And and it's

weird because I enjoy it so much, but there's a
certain burden that comes with it.

I mean I'm sitting there yesterday and she's like, are

I mean that I said, they're pushing those Baby looked
this picture and she's like, I'm good.

Heard, and so uh yeah, it's like the responsibilities of
life and everything that's involved with burden. You know, that's
that should be your main focus. But over here, deer
hunting's got your left arm, and it's just pulling you
to the side, and you're trying, You're trying desperately to
stay focused, but you just it's tough.

Sometimes you get out of balance. All right, Now, I've
got to do this show. I've got a business meeting
right after the show, pretty important, and I'm all I
can think about is how am I going to pick
up the meat from the deer I've already killed and
get out there and get in the woods to kill
another one? Right, And you're gonna miss something the meeting
important because you're gonna be thinking about yeah, not paying attention. Rick,

when people people were sitting there and they'd have money
up for grabs and like somebody go for some comedy line.
They're like, wow, you just I mean, I'm trying to

So anyway, it will involve or can involve members of

My lights went on outside because I have a timer
that I have, just a cheap old time that I bought,
you know, ten years ago, and we bring it out
every Christmas. And it's not a lot of illumination, but
it is just some landscape lights that shoot back on
the reef that we got, you know, nothing big. And
I thought of you, and I said, I wonder if
Rick's got his lights fixed, because your lights, for those

who don't know, as a half of them went out
and something kept flipping. Last night took Snow Village, the
Snow Village. There was a couple of houses dark and
the Snow village.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
So let mean it was sad looked that little village
with no lights.

Speaker 7 (14:26):
Yeah, I was like, boy's so we've had a It's
like it was in North Korea.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
We got we got a blackout at Snow out, a blackout.
Got a blackout at Snow Village. Yeah, okay, got a
major outage. And Sherry, since we were out about yesterday
doing some Christmas shop and everything, Hey baby, when we
go into a department store, I mean that's old school.
It feels good. Love the decorations. Just ask the first
person we walk in to help you tell us what

we're looking for? What is this thing we wander around
the department? Well, I just ask somebody before you point fingers.

Though us guys are known for riding around the their
their cars, not trying to find something. Not just stop
and ask for direction. That that's that's before maps. You'll
remember that that's old school. There we circle around. Yeah,
still does go that one house and take a left.
When Larry was here, they stopped.

So I, you know, I did a little troubleshooting yesterday
because you know, we got a portion of the outside
illumination that's uh tripping the breaker. Uh and say that.
So I went out, you know, and first of all,
I checked the screw the plug that had the ground
fault circuit interrupter, and uh, I wanted I want to
check it out. Of course, some people call that, you know,

the g f C. But so I was, why do
you keep looking down at your phone? Yeah, the ground
fault circuit interrupter is it's the full name, but that's
what Andy peebles just g f C uh or g
F I, as he called it yesterday. Yeah, and so
uh and that that was not the issue you and

(16:01):
uh so how do you know that? Well, because I
was the I checked it and it was tried to
figure out which which one controlled that area? I did, Uh, well,
I was troubleshooting, and so I had, uh Troy come over,
you know, with the Christmas Lights company. Okay, he and
I did a little troubleshooting because you know, no need
to bring in electrician if we find it. Yeah, I'm

sure you were at Troy. And so I said, Troy,
I've already done a little bit of troubleshooting. I don't
think the village is a culprit. I think it's your
lots and it's killing the village. They're on the same circuit.
And uh and I said, uh, maybe a bad breaker,
I said, uh. And he goes, well maybe not. I

don't know. You've had these lights for how how long?
And I said, yeah, but sometimes you know, a break
or we're out. Yeah, and uh, Greg, he's just repeating
what you said. And he said, he said, well that
that is true, but I mean it could just be
something to do with our lots, something trick. Let me
figure that out. First, you weren't holding your screwdriver, were you. Yeah,

I stuck a staple through one and there was a
weird moment. He goes, what's up with the Phillips said,
I said, just ready to work on this out.

Speaker 4 (17:11):
If we need to, please keep it away from the
electric right.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
So I'm just I'm just ready. And so we uh
we we got to watching around. Of course, I Troy
came up with something. I agreed with it. He said,
I need to find a plug that's good that I
can plug the section of lights it keeps going out
that's not on this circuit. I said, I said, you're

right exactly what I was thinking. Yes, So uh so
we we were we were out there and uh and
we we we heard a pop when the lights went
out this time in the lot little fault there and
and and I said, it is Troy, he said, And

he looked at me, He's like, what what do you
think it is? I said, it's something right there, and
he's always the technique. He said, yes, yes, yes it is.
And uh he said, uh, we got a bad splice
up there. And I said, and I said, well, you
think a squirrel chewed on it or something? I said,
we got. He goes, You know, I'd love to blame
it on the squirrel, he said, but I think that's
on us, he said. You know, over the years you've

had these lights, we've upgraded them to LED and all that,
and then that process, you know, we did, we splice
some stuff and all that, and that that one's gotten
exposed up there and it's poppy. It's it's on the lights.
Have a little fault on the line. Got a fault
on the line that they coming out to fix that
today at Troy. But at least I don't need any

breaker and that's good.

can't remember the last time I went in the store
and then went out the back of it and entered
into a mall because it's connected to a mall. Usually
I just I just go hit it there on the
outside of the mall, get in, get out, and and
Cherry was looking for some item and she was like,

I say, I say, we journey into the mall, and
and I'm like, I don't. I don't know what the
mall and and but but I find myself like you
remember down there where we love to hunt. When I
thought a restaurant that we all needed wasn't gonna make it,
and I got on the air and said, look, I'm
pulling for this. Y'all got to help us save this restaurant.
I can't lose it. And and and we saved it,

you know, And so a shout out to all the
all the ladies down at Bones Barbecue, so uh, you know,
our our one of our favorite eating places when we
go hunting and where we're down at the farm. So
I found myself kind of pulling for the mall, like
I like, I wanted the mall to be okay, yeah
you want.

we used to go to the mall and walk around

old fashioned great for men's clothing. But they got all

they even have a person playing the piano in the
middle of it. And of course she was playing Christmas
songs yesterday. And they've got all their Christmas decorations up
and I'm in a department store. It kind of took
me back to my childhood, you.

Oh yes, oh yeah, yeah, it's fantastic.

because you and I didn't have always a positive experience
going to the department store. My mom like we got

inside the close rack and scared women and got spanked
inside the store in those days. In those days, your
mama would spank you in a department store and no
one would get upset, you know what. People would say,
look at that great mom.

to say, and it's about that public kind of punishment.

Dean told the story one time about his mama. She
had a similar statement. Our Obama's was that if you're

the place. Yeah, I didn't pick ye, mama. Why'd you

whip me front everybody? You chose the place? You decided
to act up in this place?

I would I would have referred to thank you somewhere else,
but you picked her, and uh and so uh yeah,
ours was if you're gonna embarrass me, I'm gonna embarrass you.
But every mama in those days would look to our
mama and say, that's a good mama, right there. You know.
Now it's the opposite. If your kids are a bunch
of hellions and or do whatever they want and disrespect

you and save things back to you, that's supposed to
be good parenting. And people who discipline their kids don't
tolerate it, make them be respectful and actually punish them.
