with all the good things that come with it and
then the bad It has destroyed talk radio as far

as taking calls because the smartphones do a lot of things,
but what they don't do is actually give you quality
voice conversation.

Yeah, and you never hear them promoting that we have
all the features. You never hear the voice of the
audio is fantastic. It's almost like, yeah, so really cares
about that?

All of us in this industry, Wow, the industry we're

the way, many he and Carolyn had an anniversary. I

Today's SpaceX. What's what in the world? Man, what's going
on there? We had a little explosion. We had ourselves
an explosion, and we also have an update that the
astronauts are saying, are y'all ever gonna come get us? Yeah?
You remember you remember the astronauts we've left in space? Yeah?

And the news that I mean, they're they're scheduled to
come like this month and go go go get him this.

But it came out that Elon had offered up to
go get them a pretty good bit back, I mean,
and the Biden administration just turned him down.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Well, they don't send them rock as they keep blowing
up together.

In an interview with the astronauts, they asked him about is
that true that he offered to come get him? And
they said, we can confirm that is true. But he
got They said, now the reason why they turned him down,
we can't get into all that. But you know, we
can't tell you Elon did offer to come get us early.

Yeah, so I was looking and I was asking Adler
because you know he's the only space bro left. Yeah,
and you were.

Saying, yeah, you like one Yeah, you like one planet.

None of us will explosion affecting. Did you see how
he smiled his new mic. He's like, nobody missed at
that time. We're an explosion not far from yours. But

You didn't seem thrilled with me. You got right out

you that one of my sons is coaching lacrosse. Rememberen,
lacrosse came into our world. Also, I had sons that
wanted to play lacrosse. I ended up being nominated a
lacrosse coach. The only problem is I knew nothing about
the sport. That didn't stop me from just you know,
forging ahead. And so one of them it really really

resonated with, and that is young Broderick, who played lacrosse,
loved lacrosse, and now is coaching lacrosse the fourteen U team.
Okay youngsters. So you know, it's one of those things.
It's kind of a we want to support our kids.
We all want to support our kids, and you know,

(12:38):
we remember when the kids were in little league or
school play or fill in the blank dance competition if
you've got daughters, and when it comes to recitals of
any kind, and those are non negotiable. I mean, dad,
no matter when dad goes to work, Dad has to
be there. Adult son who's married, coach you, I get it.

(13:01):
You got to be at some of it, do you
how much of that is so? Sherry had mentioned, you
know sometimes as a husband and a dad, you just
just for the moment, you just go positive because you're
just trying to move through a moment. I'd heard it
mentioned earlier in the week. I'd like for us to
go see one of Brodie's games. Oh absolutely, yes, absolutely,

(13:24):
Now in my mind, I'm picturing a Saturday afternoon. Sure,
I'm picturing you know, the cross of they have really, No,
they'll play on a Sunday afternoon at the drop of
a hat. No, it doesn't bother them. And you think
even you know, that'd be fine if it was an
afternoon thing or whatever I'm picturing. I keep picturing my
mind daylight. I don't know why, because they do play

games in the day and not during the week but
on weekends, and I keep picturing that in my mind.
And then so I guess that's why I was so
upbeating positive. So I get home yesterday and it was,
you know, I thought, oh, a short day. Now, this
is this ketchup day because I'm back in the studio

(14:05):
after the show today. And so she says, okay, so
I'm gonna go ahead and start getting ready. I'm sorry, uh,
And she says, well, we're going to see Brodie's game.
Oh okay, what time is it? Five point thirty?

Speaker 8 (14:21):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (14:21):
And she goes She goes, no, No, I said, what
time is the game start? Seven? What? And I said seven?
I said, maybe I go to bed at like eight.
And she said, well, I mean I just want to
go and see one of his games. And I've already
told him we're coming, and and his wife Cameron's meeting
us Stiller and you know, and I've got to do

this and I've got something I'm bringing to her and
da da da da da, I mean, and I'm like wow,
so and I know that a lot of you, you
were all in this boat. When when you're at these
kinds of things, I mean, your mind. You try to
focus on what's going on, but all you start thinking
about is all right, there's then you say things that

(15:05):
are crazy. Well, maybe the game only be about an hour.
Rick you think a fourteen you game is gonna last
an hour? Have you lost your ever loved mina? It's
not gonna last an hour because guess they're playing at home,
which is not far from our house, So I don't
have a lot of road time. Okay, and that's a positive.

Speaker 9 (15:21):
So uh.

Uh? And then your your son's the coach. And now
and I say this, I know I've been a coach.
And we're all guilty of it. We're all guilty of it. Hey,
you'll got a lot of games left. They won the game,
let's wrap it up. Okay, Well, he'll talk to his
team after the game.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Wait a minute, you know, and and how about about
a lot colder, lot older, that long lot colder than
I thought.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Well, then there was a little nip. Yeah, well you
know what, you know what mama says, Well, my goodness.
If we're not going to stay to the end the game,
I don't even know why we came. We're not gonna
get talked to him at all. Ye yeah, And I said, no,
we're being supportive. He knows we're here. We're sitting right here.
What did you his wife? I don't have to hang
around after football, Greg. I know, I know, you know,
I know, you know this, you know. And I started thinking,

you know, of course you've got Friday nights. But that's
a long day, so you're dying. It's a long day.
You don't have to go back the next day, but
it's long.

Then the grand kids, you're not. The grandkids will run
on the field. You got it, you got it, and
they want you to be a part.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Of Yeah, yeah, my grand kids. I get that. Ok.
Got cold? Got cold twice? Got I got cold twice.
Once I commented on some technique we needed to work on,
I didn't think i'd start coaching, and I was. I
was told pretty quick that Brody does work on that.
In other words, you don't know what you're talking about, right,
you know? The game? Rick and then the other one

to share some knowledge. Are you ready for the worst one?
Are you ready for the worst one. You talk about
getting a whole burn through you. I'm standing the actress
over and I'm it's cold, real cold a little bit
and I'm standing and I'm standing there, and I'm looking
now and I see old number nine. I see that nine.
I'm like, okay, fifteen, I'm ten minutes from home like that,

that's the only positive you have. And then minutes from
home and then I say loud, wow, it's a long
postgame speech and how much you gotta cover? And then
I hear we you know, he takes the time right
here to try to do some sort of biblical application
to the things that went through in the game. He
wants to be sure investing these kids spiritually. Okay, now

you feel like crawd night. And I said, and man,
you know what, now, you're tiny, really And I go
and could I be proud of right now? And then
you hit your watch one more time after and then
I start then I start thinking, my goodness, are we
walking out? I mean, are we going through the revelation
right now? Are we? What is he explaining pre trib,

(17:49):
mid trib, post trip? How long is the application here?
What book of the Bible we in Uh and no,
it was you know what it was. It was there'd
you get home? Uh nestling face on pillow, face on pillow,
nine thirty. It could be worse. It could be worse.

of tidbits last night. Greg. I don't know if you've
noticed this yet at your grandkids games. Probably not because
it hasn't gotten intense. I don't know if you do
this when your son's coaching. He's coaching at such a
high level, maybe you're better. But I found myself honestly thinking,

we're turning into dad, We're turning into our dad. He
would they were comment There were comments that came out
of me, and like at one point I would look
next to me to see who is this person, only
to discover it was me. I'm like, why am I commenting?
I don't even think I care that much. It's like
I couldn't stop myself from commenting, and I started doing

(21:25):
the thing that we talked about Dad do. It would
do where we would say, like you were talking about
your dad because your dead doesn't know who's a rounding
because he's blind. Dad would the same thing be loud
and we're like, Dad, there's people all around us, you know,
Like that time he said I'm so glad we've beaten
this team. I can't stand these people. And I'm like
dad in the cross. Everybody that's on the same side,

(21:45):
they're all around it. They're all around us. That's why
they all have that look on their face like someone
just broke win.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
His best one was and I wasn't there, but mother
reliving it when I think it was our cousin.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
It was church league basketball, okay, Church, I don't miss that.
That's kids, okay.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
And the referee was overweight guy, and he would just
step back and forth across the center line. He would
never get down in position. And finally that it had enough.
You know, when everything quiets down, somebody says up, he
goes if you get you fat a down there where
you could see he was staying at mid court making
calls under the basket and the whole places turundstairs at
church basketball.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
He showed me to get his fat a in position
to make the call court line and stepping on inside. Well,
and we've told this one before, but it's been a
long time. That's one of his peeves. He wanted you
in position, Yes he did. He did that even when
he was coaching from the sidelines on his own teams,
getting position where you can see it, and if you
were if you had some weight on you, he always
went there. Always. He always said, don't trust a fat ref.

(22:46):
He always he did it. They said they're too lazy
to get in positioned to make the proper call. The
The other one was the time Greg, that was you
and it was once again, your son, Taylor. I don't
know the age when everybody started telling the kid who
struck out it was okay, and Dad corrected everybody and said,
it's not okay. And you remember he needs to shake
it off. He said, Now you tell them to get

(23:06):
up there and make it count next time. But please
don't tell him that was okay. It's not okay. He
actually let he just let the team down. Yeah, Dad,
he's like heat. But his parents don't want to know that.
His parents don't want to know that, his grandparents. Please
stop telling him it's okay. He ain't okay okay. That
we got the point, and I found myself like I was,

(23:29):
I want, I'm gonna use random numbers because I realized
people may go, my gosh, he's talking about my kid.
So I'm just going to use a random number that
wasn't even out there. Okay, we use the number eighty seven. Okay,
they wasn't even a number eighty seven, So I'm safe
on this. So I'm sitting there and did not even
want to do it. Wasn't even playing, didn't want to comment. Rick,
All of a sudden, I hear this person, which turned
out unfortunately be me. It's way eighty seven. It was

(23:51):
he got seamen in his shoes. Man, he got to
move his feet, and sure he goes his parents. Yeah,
could be anywhere. What are you saying? You don't say
the guys, the kids got cement in his clipswork. He
does need to move his feet straight up? Well, we
got drills for that. Oh good night. I mean I
see a good player right there, I tell you number

(24:14):
so and so. I mean good player. I mean he
gets a good run on the goal. But I mean,
how about fake the goalie one time? Didn't shoot my gush,
you just should throwing it right at him. Sure he goes.
Is this the whole game? And then I had the
thing that I love. Saw a buddy of mine who's
now gone to the dark side, that I used to
coach with. He's now referee. Who the way he used

(24:35):
to talk to the referees, and now you're one of them.
I found that disgusting. So anyway, he started making some
calls for the other team, which hurt. I thought, Man,
if he's out there, surely we get the calls he
used to coach. It's very program. And he starts kind
of overcompensating. I felt for the other team who got
behind early. Okay, they can get themselves back in the game.
That's not your job to get them back in. And

(24:55):
all of a sudden, from the stands some person but
sadly turned out to be me. Hey, it ain't your job.
Ref to get them back in the game. Make them
earn it. It don't feel And he goes to turn
around to look and then he sees me and he's like,
he gives me, what are you doing, Burch? I'm like,
what are you doing? Dark side?

Speaker 7 (25:12):
Yeah? He heard that voice. He like it gives a nightmare.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Do you think all right, listen, let me ask you.
Let's study ourselves. Okay. Do you think that I just
can't control that like our dad couldn't, or is there
some subconscious attempt here for me not to be invited
back to a game? For sure?

I'm just going, but by myself.

You don't know if it's after seven see you. I mean,
you just got to make that call my playing Scott.

Don't you remember we've said on that. We've sat on
the show before back, I mean, all the years we
were doing the Rick and Bubba Show and all that.
We would say, well, I understand our schedule, but do
our kid. We can't just tell our kids, sorry, daddy
gets a burden. I'm not coming. No, no, you can.
You can split the game, get there on the front end.
And this is nine time. He's not playing. Yeah, he's
in a he's married, he's he's volunteering his time to him.

(26:03):
This lacross program that's not in every game. No, that's
the thing. And it's also like you're saying, it's selective games.

Speaker 7 (26:10):
Yes, yeah, yeah yeah. And then if you can I
mean I know yesterday you couldn't. But if you can
get there early, see him before he gets busy, yeah,
and then say hey, look we're going to vapor about
halfway through.

We just wanted to come see you.

Blah blah blah, and then leave on the time that's
good for you, you know, stay there for about an
hour and then go, okay, we'll we're out. And then
then I'm sure there'll be games that you can stay
the whole time.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, and of course you know last night was cold.
So then then then I become the blanket mule. Oh,
be sure and get our blankets. And I'm like, here
we go. I'm blank I'm not going to do blak.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
At least it starts bringing blankets when it's in the seventies, right,
I got to bring a blanket.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
No, you don't know what's the wind doing? What's the
wind doing a lot of windy today? Hey, fellow husband
and dad and granddad? How bulky are blankets there? When
you when you put it under your arm like prayer?
I how to carry him? No? Yeah, and you feel
and it's I mean sometimes just a from the parking
spot to where you're going.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, if it's a show enough blanket, it's hard to
handle it. Many times you just stop and refix it.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
We had to show enough blankets, which brings up the

when she said, well, then this one blanket, I'm gonna
put on these aluminum bleachers because that aluminum is freezing
and we're about to sit down in our little HNA freeze.
And I thought to myself, I'll sit on the blanket,
but I ain't covering up any Yeah, and how about this,

I hate carrying uh stadium seats in.

Yeah, just sit on the bleach we normally I can't.
I can't sit in the bleachers just because of what
y'all have been talking about.

get sometimes I can we get so far away. I

Ball games and you know you start mid afternoon, but
it's gonna end way after dark, kind of like you
did your your car becomes a locker room. Things that

go back and forth to the to the car.

As it gets dark, it gets cold. Situation. I know

don't know why we is walking around people who can
chew gum. It's supplying demand. The prices of eggs are
high because the amount of chickens right now are low,
so there's less eggs. More people need eggs, and the
supply is down, so the price goes up. It's that's
how this works. And some of it we needed to
do because the avion flew. If that's something we needed

to do. Scott's saying, have we overreacted and maybe killed
too many? I don't know the answer to that, But
I do know the answer to why egg prices are
undrell because we have less chickens laying less eggs. Yeah, yeah,
and we still have the same amount of people who

at their phone, or maybe they're on the phone and
we're all backed up behind us, or are we just

The Costco pizzas are actually really good. Yeah, the Costco
pizzas are actually really really good and cheap, so cheap
not bad. If you want a cheap pizza, that is
the one to go with, honest speed. He knows what

hot dog and you get a drink with it for
one dollar and fifty cents. You can't beat that. And
then but I will say this, this angers a breakdown

every time. It angers me. When I am leaving, I'm
through the madness of all the eyes, I'm going past
all the samples. I stand in line, and they don't
have all the checkouts open. I'd like to see more.
Or yesterday I did self checkout. I had a box
of band aids and a tent in my hand, and
the lady in front of me had forty items in
the self checkout.

for Phoenix. That flight didn't even make it off the ground,
turning back to the gate after a woman stripped completely
naked and started cursing at the flight crew point. Passengers
say she tried to get inside the cockpit. Anything and

According police, that woman was not charged and said when
police detained her, they took her to a hospital for
a medical evaluation. Even though some of those passengers told

We spoke with one of those passengers, who asked to
remain anonymous. She said they had just boarded the plane
in Houston and were about to leave for Phoenix when
the woman, while fully dressed, walked to the front of
the plane and started yelling.

I do remember her saying that she wanted to get
off the flame.

The passenger also said she heard the woman yell that
she was bipolar. Then when the plane started taxing to
the runway, she.

Started like jumping up and down, screaming at the top
of her lungs.

It was very evident that she was having a mental breakdown.

At one point, another passenger said the woman grabbed a

just hoping that the plane wouldn't take off, which it didn't,

came in and covered the woman with a blanket before
she took off.

The lady just runs out of the airplane and that
was where she went.

medical evaluation. At this time, she isn't facing any charges.

mental illness isn't a real thing, and not all of
it is tied to spiritual problems. I understand that, but

get help. But usually when you see the stripping naked
and the wild you know, slinging the head and convulsing
and all that, that that usually is a marker of
demonic forces in play. Here. They'll strip your naked in

didn't get arrested.

Understand, I guess they're saying that she had a medical
mental issue, so we're not going to hold her accountable.
But don't we hold everybody accountable when they do things
that are against the law, even though it might have
been a mental breakdown, Don't we still have some sort
of accountability there. We understand you may have a problem,
but you can't go grabbing people, you can't strip yourself naked.

You know all that you still have to you paid
the debt for that right to society for misbehaving.
