Speaker 1 (00:11):
You better listen up, you know, like we say, loss,
I'm gonna text you gotta find those.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
The voice of reason in an unreasonable world. The Rick
Burchess thank you for.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Being with us today. A brand new hour is running
wide open. Hello to all of you that are texting
right out of the gate. Good day, Thank you so
much and if you want to be part of the
show today, eight eight eights the number six big Vox,
same number on the text line eight eight eight six

(00:52):
two four four eight six nine. All right, so speedy,
Greg Adler, the gang is all here. We have a
lot to do going forward. The Vox seats will fill

(01:13):
a Burgess ball battle coming up also around of Greg Burgess.
Right again, all opportunities on the program today as we
break down the stories, and there's a lot for us
to cover since the last time we were all together
and right out of the gate. Can I get a
test one too from Greg? Check one, check one, check

(01:35):
one super time the engineer. We've been waiting on one
the final parts of Greg's mike. Looking back, might have
been wiser to just not put the mic in there
until everything was here, but we got excited, and I
don't think Tom wanted it to look weird in here
or something. But well, yeah, but anyway, Greg, Greg's mike.
A lot of you have rightfully, so you rightfully have

(01:55):
complained about Greg's mike. Greg Lit's here. Check one, check one.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Of course, I got kind of a scratchy voice, a
little scratch, a little sick, sick, and it's just a little.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
And all that.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
But I still because the angle of me looking, I'm
going cross side because of this. That's a different topic.
I know it's nothing to do with the sound, but
it's making me cross and he gives me a headache.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
By the end of the show, my head's killing. Pulled
that down and then pulled out down everything. I flipped it,
flopped it. Why don't you just make it? What's wrong
with that? Right there?

Speaker 4 (02:28):
I's just don't feel right. But it's still I still
in my vision, it's still I don't know. I can't
quit staring at it. I'm going cross side.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
So the new mic you're making you.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Cross which they came from the bottom, I'm just saying, okay,
but that's fine.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
I can live with it. Well apparently not. I'll just
be cross eyed by the end of the show.

Speaker 5 (02:46):
Every day, Greg Greg Greg sing something for us.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yes, why would I sing?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Because we're checking the check one, check one there it is.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Get me simply safe, safely simple. Sing that simply safe,
simple and safe. It does sound good. That does sound good. So, uh,
it's simply safe and safely the safe and is simple.
Yeah something like that. Good. Now, I do think the
microphone sounds better. It does, yeah, of course it does

(03:17):
sounds a lot better. Prince too bad. I got to
wear a patch on one, but that's fine. Yeah. So
are you out of Are you out of the can now?
Prince Albert got his little microphone now, but now it's
below your eyesight. Yeah. Still I'm still saying it line

(03:38):
of sight. Yeah. Yeah, so so that's that's good. Yeah.
The uh, you know, anytime that sounds but yeah, anytime
you get anytime you get into changing equipment, even if
you're changing it what you think for the better, you
always regretted. What's one of those things where you go,
if it's working, let's just leave it alone. I know

(03:59):
now this is this is much better. All right, great,
good to have you back. All right, and we'll do
right and we'll do right again, right again, coming up
right again with the subject old Greg, You know what,
one you're pretty good on one hit wonders. Okay, one
hit wonders writing. You're pretty good on those obscure facts.
Pretty good obscure facts.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
So we have a hay Birds hay Birds that's going
to kind of pretty much almost be a daily because
there's so much good email that comes in because we
have discovered it and we don't look. Hey, we talked
about this when we're getting down to the end of
the Rick and Bubba show. The cell phone, smartphone era
with all the good things that come with it and
then the bad It has destroyed talk radio as far

(04:42):
as taking calls because the smartphones do a lot of things,
but what they don't do is actually give you quality
voice conversation.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Yeah, and you never hear them promoting that we have
all the features. You never hear the voice of the
audio is fantastic. It's almost like, yeah, so really cares
about that?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
All of us in this industry, Wow, the industry we're
we're moving into. We'll just we want to engage with
you in many ways, and email has always been one,
but now you've got this text option, and let's face it,
most of the engagement with the show now comes from
those two things. Yeah, you know, and then then social
media to a lesser degree. But but so, but but
we still do phone calls, and I still love callers.

(05:21):
I think it's sometimes sometimes it's not. What about what
about Larry? I wish Larry? I mean, yeah, I can't
get enough of it. I love it. Right. And by
the way, many he and Carolyn had an anniversary. I
think yesterday, really happy anniversary to Larry. I think, by
the way, just it just hit me as possible and
made that up. I think, Okay, I thought I saw

(05:43):
a text come up from Larry. I said that also
Today's SpaceX. What's what in the world? Man, what's going
on there? We had a little explosion. We had ourselves
an explosion, and we also have an update that the
astronauts are saying, are y'all ever gonna come get us? Yeah?
You remember you remember the astronauts we've left in space? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (06:01):
And the news that I mean, they're they're scheduled to
come like this month and go go go get him this.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Month or something.

Speaker 7 (06:06):
But it came out that Elon had offered up to
go get them a pretty good bit back, I mean,
and the Biden administration just turned him down.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Well, they don't send them rock as they keep blowing
up together.

Speaker 7 (06:18):
In an interview with the astronauts, they asked him about is
that true that he offered to come get him? And
they said, we can confirm that is true. But he
got They said, now the reason why they turned him down,
we can't get into all that. But you know, we
can't tell you Elon did offer to come get us early.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Yeah, so I was looking and I was asking Adler
because you know he's the only space bro left. Yeah,
and you were.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Saying, yeah, you like one Yeah, you like one planet.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
None of us will explosion affecting. Did you see how
he smiled his new mic. He's like, nobody missed at
that time. We're an explosion not far from yours. But
it says it says the the eighth attempt on the starship.

(07:11):
So they had various that's not a great percentage here.

Speaker 5 (07:14):
Well, there's some people in them, Greg, you know that, right, there's.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
People in them eventually going to be right, No, no,
not yet, here's.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
This eventually once again. The I guess they call it
the mech Zilla or the chopsticks is what I'm much
comfortable calling it. But the chopsticks did catch the super
heavy booster once again, which is just an amazing feat.
And they're getting better and closer every time.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
I still think that looks like a cartoon.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
I'm real, as big as a skyscraper.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
That's a cartoon. That's not real.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Car showing you a simulation of simulation that's not real,
not real.

Speaker 5 (07:50):
Well, that's fine if you want to say that, but
it is real.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I'm telling you it's that's crazy.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
It's as big as a planet or a planet. It's
as big as a skyscraper. And they landed it and
caught it in the air with chop six. They did
have an unscheduled disassembly of the I love that the
ship itself, the starship.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
You had span was showing. People were sending him shots
from the Bahamas and things like that. But you could
see all the debris in the air just I mean
coming down, y'all believe at the airport's in a panic.

Speaker 7 (08:20):
I mean they started canceling flights and messing everything up
just from all the debris.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
ELI is too busy worrying about this finding, this money
being wasted. You know, I ain't got time worry about
a rocket.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
So you got him in charge of the rocket. Yep.
Personally it's a fun what it is, but let's call it.
He's not working on the rock. I don't think so. No,
as a matter of fact. So it's just the money man.
Somebody said that he came running out of another area
with more government waste. And somebody said, hey, bad news
on space, bad news on starship face. You're not gonna

(08:54):
like the headlines to Mars. The good news is we
promised not to waste it. We'll come back. We've got
lots of coverage today, lots of coming so much to
cover a lot of updates within the show too, and
we'll continue your phone calls eighty eight eighty six Big
Box today, the text line, same number. We'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. The people who don't
like this show, you willn't like anyway the Rick Bushes Show.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Say it's more about them than I spoke. All right,
good to be together for another day today. Have you
have you checked out my store dot com? Yet? No letting?
They'll go, Oh, I mean they try, don't you love
when all the the council culture decides that they're in

(10:03):
charge of where we can and can't shop, and what
products we can have access to, what we can say
and can't say, what words we can use can't use?
All right? So, uh, you know Lindal has just stood
up against them. And I will tell all of you
this speaking from experience here. When when people go after
you and they're all this screaming and hollering and attacking,
and let me tell you, the one thing that they

(10:25):
can't handle is you to be immovable. You just don't
stand down. You won't, you don't cower you, you don't
give in. You stand on what you know to be
the truth. And and all you do and when they
attack you is use that platform for you to continue
to say the things that you believe. And they and
when they realize there's nothing they can do to you,

(10:45):
they usually just go away. So uh and now another
thing that Lyndeal's done said, well it worked for me,
let me help other entrepreneurs, and he created mystore dot com.
My store dot com gives you access to entrepreneurs that
may share your same vat I used, that have incredible
products at great prices, but they're having a hard time
getting this to market. Well, mystore dot com gives them

(11:08):
that platform. So go there in shop right now, use
our code big vox and you'll save on everything that
you're looking for. But they got it all. I mean
garden and patio, home improvement, household essentials, kitchen and dining,
stuff for pets, faith based products, sports, outdoors, toys, games,
it's all there mystore dot com with the promo code

(11:30):
big vox. Are also find the link at rickburgesshow dot
com under the sponsors. So guys, it's good to be back.
We do have a lot to do today. We got
box seats coming up later. So looking around, I mean speedy.
You didn't seem thrilled with me. You got right out
of the gate because I came in and I told

(11:52):
you that one of my sons is coaching lacrosse. Rememberen,
lacrosse came into our world. Also, I had sons that
wanted to play lacrosse. I ended up being nominated a
lacrosse coach. The only problem is I knew nothing about
the sport. That didn't stop me from just you know,
forging ahead. And so one of them it really really

(12:15):
resonated with, and that is young Broderick, who played lacrosse,
loved lacrosse, and now is coaching lacrosse the fourteen U team.
Okay youngsters. So you know, it's one of those things.
It's kind of a we want to support our kids.
We all want to support our kids, and you know,

(12:38):
we remember when the kids were in little league or
school play or fill in the blank dance competition if
you've got daughters, and when it comes to recitals of
any kind, and those are non negotiable. I mean, dad,
no matter when dad goes to work, Dad has to
be there. Adult son who's married, coach you, I get it.

(13:01):
You got to be at some of it, do you
how much of that is so? Sherry had mentioned, you
know sometimes as a husband and a dad, you just
just for the moment, you just go positive because you're
just trying to move through a moment. I'd heard it
mentioned earlier in the week. I'd like for us to
go see one of Brodie's games. Oh absolutely, yes, absolutely,

(13:24):
Now in my mind, I'm picturing a Saturday afternoon. Sure,
I'm picturing you know, the cross of they have really, No,
they'll play on a Sunday afternoon at the drop of
a hat. No, it doesn't bother them. And you think
even you know, that'd be fine if it was an
afternoon thing or whatever I'm picturing. I keep picturing my
mind daylight. I don't know why, because they do play

(13:45):
games in the day and not during the week but
on weekends, and I keep picturing that in my mind.
And then so I guess that's why I was so
upbeating positive. So I get home yesterday and it was,
you know, I thought, oh, a short day. Now, this
is this ketchup day because I'm back in the studio

(14:05):
after the show today. And so she says, okay, so
I'm gonna go ahead and start getting ready. I'm sorry, uh,
And she says, well, we're going to see Brodie's game.
Oh okay, what time is it? Five point thirty?

Speaker 8 (14:21):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (14:21):
And she goes She goes, no, No, I said, what
time is the game start? Seven? What? And I said seven?
I said, maybe I go to bed at like eight.
And she said, well, I mean I just want to
go and see one of his games. And I've already
told him we're coming, and and his wife Cameron's meeting
us Stiller and you know, and I've got to do

(14:43):
this and I've got something I'm bringing to her and
da da da da da, I mean, and I'm like wow,
so and I know that a lot of you, you
were all in this boat. When when you're at these
kinds of things, I mean, your mind. You try to
focus on what's going on, but all you start thinking
about is all right, there's then you say things that

(15:05):
are crazy. Well, maybe the game only be about an hour.
Rick you think a fourteen you game is gonna last
an hour? Have you lost your ever loved mina? It's
not gonna last an hour because guess they're playing at home,
which is not far from our house, So I don't
have a lot of road time. Okay, and that's a positive.

Speaker 9 (15:21):
So uh.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Uh? And then your your son's the coach. And now
and I say this, I know I've been a coach.
And we're all guilty of it. We're all guilty of it. Hey,
you'll got a lot of games left. They won the game,
let's wrap it up. Okay, Well, he'll talk to his
team after the game.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
Wait a minute, you know, and and how about about
a lot colder, lot older, that long lot colder than
I thought.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Well, then there was a little nip. Yeah, well you
know what, you know what mama says, Well, my goodness.
If we're not going to stay to the end the game,
I don't even know why we came. We're not gonna
get talked to him at all. Ye yeah, And I said, no,
we're being supportive. He knows we're here. We're sitting right here.
What did you his wife? I don't have to hang
around after football, Greg. I know, I know, you know,
I know, you know this, you know. And I started thinking,

(16:11):
you know, of course you've got Friday nights. But that's
a long day, so you're dying. It's a long day.
You don't have to go back the next day, but
it's long.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Then the grand kids, you're not. The grandkids will run
on the field. You got it, you got it, and
they want you to be a part.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Of Yeah, yeah, my grand kids. I get that. Ok.
Got cold? Got cold twice? Got I got cold twice.
Once I commented on some technique we needed to work on,
I didn't think i'd start coaching, and I was. I
was told pretty quick that Brody does work on that.
In other words, you don't know what you're talking about, right,
you know? The game? Rick and then the other one

(16:44):
to share some knowledge. Are you ready for the worst one?
Are you ready for the worst one. You talk about
getting a whole burn through you. I'm standing the actress
over and I'm it's cold, real cold a little bit
and I'm standing and I'm standing there, and I'm looking
now and I see old number nine. I see that nine.
I'm like, okay, fifteen, I'm ten minutes from home like that,

(17:06):
that's the only positive you have. And then minutes from
home and then I say loud, wow, it's a long
postgame speech and how much you gotta cover? And then
I hear we you know, he takes the time right
here to try to do some sort of biblical application
to the things that went through in the game. He
wants to be sure investing these kids spiritually. Okay, now

(17:27):
you feel like crawd night. And I said, and man,
you know what, now, you're tiny, really And I go
and could I be proud of right now? And then
you hit your watch one more time after and then
I start then I start thinking, my goodness, are we
walking out? I mean, are we going through the revelation
right now? Are we? What is he explaining pre trib,

(17:49):
mid trib, post trip? How long is the application here?
What book of the Bible we in Uh and no,
it was you know what it was. It was there'd
you get home? Uh nestling face on pillow, face on pillow,
nine thirty. It could be worse. It could be worse.

(18:09):
It could be worse.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
The travels would say. The travels say five and away
nine thirty. Probably asleep by nine forty five. So you
know I'm sitting at I got almost.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Right around six. That's not bad. No, that's not bad.
I'll take the least six. I'll take six. Yeah, I
don't know how I'm coming up with six right there,
but it's close. And see before the game you're rounding up.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Yeah, I was five forty five six, couldn't couldn't get there?

Speaker 3 (18:36):
What you see them before that? You couldn't by the
time you get there, there in preaking all right of
the arm.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Do you have your

(19:05):
Rick Burgess Show swag? Check out our store at Rickburgessshow
dot com and click shop.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
Do you and also text and get the store. Just
text that word store to eight eight eight six two
four four eight six nine speeding our rock rock and
a couple of our hoodies now. Also just talk to
the folks at fund the Nations, which they have. It's
not feed the Nations, and I see what I can find.
They're not feeding. Yeah, and uh, we got some spring

(19:34):
shirts and some cool stuff coming out in the spring,
not out yet, but we're we're looking at that. So
look for me. We'll be now announcing some new items
here pretty soon. From the text line, Adler way in, please,
I'm wondering why aren't the best of shows. I guess
that that best of our every day showing up on
Blaze TV every day. And you said they are right.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
They are they they should be and they are. I'm
actual always on the back end of the Blaze TV platform,
if you know what I mean. I'm not on the
user side. I'm on the content creator side, but I
will I will say that Blaze made a change recently
where the Rick Burgess Show has its own page. It

(20:19):
was like they converted the Rick and Bubba show page
on Blaze to the Rick Burgess Show's own page. So
that may be why you're not seeing them. But Yesterday Times,
the name of the episode. Yesterday's episode was time zones,
license plates, baptisms, and Randy Travis. So look for that

(20:39):
and you should be able to find it.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
By the way, I did get the link he is
coming to Dothan or this thing they're doing is coming
to dot Okay, so also just yeah, just a couple
of tidbits last night. Greg. I don't know if you've
noticed this yet at your grandkids games. Probably not because
it hasn't gotten intense. I don't know if you do
this when your son's coaching. He's coaching at such a
high level, maybe you're better. But I found myself honestly thinking,

(21:03):
we're turning into dad, We're turning into our dad. He
would they were comment There were comments that came out
of me, and like at one point I would look
next to me to see who is this person, only
to discover it was me. I'm like, why am I commenting?
I don't even think I care that much. It's like
I couldn't stop myself from commenting, and I started doing

(21:25):
the thing that we talked about Dad do. It would
do where we would say, like you were talking about
your dad because your dead doesn't know who's a rounding
because he's blind. Dad would the same thing be loud
and we're like, Dad, there's people all around us, you know,
Like that time he said I'm so glad we've beaten
this team. I can't stand these people. And I'm like
dad in the cross. Everybody that's on the same side,

(21:45):
they're all around it. They're all around us. That's why
they all have that look on their face like someone
just broke win.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
His best one was and I wasn't there, but mother
reliving it when I think it was our cousin.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
It was church league basketball, okay, Church, I don't miss that.
That's kids, okay.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
And the referee was overweight guy, and he would just
step back and forth across the center line. He would
never get down in position. And finally that it had enough.
You know, when everything quiets down, somebody says up, he
goes if you get you fat a down there where
you could see he was staying at mid court making
calls under the basket and the whole places turundstairs at
church basketball.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
He showed me to get his fat a in position
to make the call court line and stepping on inside. Well,
and we've told this one before, but it's been a
long time. That's one of his peeves. He wanted you
in position, Yes he did. He did that even when
he was coaching from the sidelines on his own teams,
getting position where you can see it, and if you
were if you had some weight on you, he always
went there. Always. He always said, don't trust a fat ref.

(22:46):
He always he did it. They said they're too lazy
to get in positioned to make the proper call. The
The other one was the time Greg, that was you
and it was once again, your son, Taylor. I don't
know the age when everybody started telling the kid who
struck out it was okay, and Dad corrected everybody and said,
it's not okay. And you remember he needs to shake
it off. He said, Now you tell them to get

(23:06):
up there and make it count next time. But please
don't tell him that was okay. It's not okay. He
actually let he just let the team down. Yeah, Dad,
he's like heat. But his parents don't want to know that.
His parents don't want to know that, his grandparents. Please
stop telling him it's okay. He ain't okay okay. That
we got the point, and I found myself like I was,

(23:29):
I want, I'm gonna use random numbers because I realized
people may go, my gosh, he's talking about my kid.
So I'm just going to use a random number that
wasn't even out there. Okay, we use the number eighty seven. Okay,
they wasn't even a number eighty seven, So I'm safe
on this. So I'm sitting there and did not even
want to do it. Wasn't even playing, didn't want to comment. Rick,
All of a sudden, I hear this person, which turned
out unfortunately be me. It's way eighty seven. It was

(23:51):
he got seamen in his shoes. Man, he got to
move his feet, and sure he goes his parents. Yeah,
could be anywhere. What are you saying? You don't say
the guys, the kids got cement in his clipswork. He
does need to move his feet straight up? Well, we
got drills for that. Oh good night. I mean I
see a good player right there, I tell you number

(24:14):
so and so. I mean good player. I mean he
gets a good run on the goal. But I mean,
how about fake the goalie one time? Didn't shoot my gush,
you just should throwing it right at him. Sure he goes.
Is this the whole game? And then I had the
thing that I love. Saw a buddy of mine who's
now gone to the dark side, that I used to
coach with. He's now referee. Who the way he used

(24:35):
to talk to the referees, and now you're one of them.
I found that disgusting. So anyway, he started making some
calls for the other team, which hurt. I thought, Man,
if he's out there, surely we get the calls he
used to coach. It's very program. And he starts kind
of overcompensating. I felt for the other team who got
behind early. Okay, they can get themselves back in the game.
That's not your job to get them back in. And

(24:55):
all of a sudden, from the stands some person but
sadly turned out to be me. Hey, it ain't your job.
Ref to get them back in the game. Make them
earn it. It don't feel And he goes to turn
around to look and then he sees me and he's like,
he gives me, what are you doing, Burch? I'm like,
what are you doing? Dark side?

Speaker 7 (25:12):
Yeah? He heard that voice. He like it gives a nightmare.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Do you think all right, listen, let me ask you.
Let's study ourselves. Okay. Do you think that I just
can't control that like our dad couldn't, or is there
some subconscious attempt here for me not to be invited
back to a game? For sure?

Speaker 8 (25:31):
To go.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
I'm just going, but by myself.

Speaker 7 (25:33):
You don't know if it's after seven see you. I mean,
you just got to make that call my playing Scott.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Don't you remember we've said on that. We've sat on
the show before back, I mean, all the years we
were doing the Rick and Bubba Show and all that.
We would say, well, I understand our schedule, but do
our kid. We can't just tell our kids, sorry, daddy
gets a burden. I'm not coming. No, no, you can.
You can split the game, get there on the front end.
And this is nine time. He's not playing. Yeah, he's
in a he's married, he's he's volunteering his time to him.

(26:03):
This lacross program that's not in every game. No, that's
the thing. And it's also like you're saying, it's selective games.

Speaker 7 (26:10):
Yes, yeah, yeah yeah. And then if you can I
mean I know yesterday you couldn't. But if you can
get there early, see him before he gets busy, yeah,
and then say hey, look we're going to vapor about
halfway through.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
We just wanted to come see you.

Speaker 7 (26:21):
Blah blah blah, and then leave on the time that's
good for you, you know, stay there for about an
hour and then go, okay, we'll we're out. And then
then I'm sure there'll be games that you can stay
the whole time.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, and of course you know last night was cold.
So then then then I become the blanket mule. Oh,
be sure and get our blankets. And I'm like, here
we go. I'm blank I'm not going to do blak.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
At least it starts bringing blankets when it's in the seventies, right,
I got to bring a blanket.

Speaker 3 (26:44):
No, you don't know what's the wind doing? What's the
wind doing a lot of windy today? Hey, fellow husband
and dad and granddad? How bulky are blankets there? When
you when you put it under your arm like prayer?
I how to carry him? No? Yeah, and you feel
and it's I mean sometimes just a from the parking
spot to where you're going.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, if it's a show enough blanket, it's hard to
handle it. Many times you just stop and refix it.

Speaker 3 (27:08):
We had to show enough blankets, which brings up the
questions that we keep talking about, like when you went
Greg shirtless showing men of America with how it should
be standing outside pumping gas in the cold. Can a
grown man put a blanket on in the stands. I
think I think he just has has to be real,
real cold.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
That code that you know we've talked about, you get
a pass no matter what you have on, and no
matter how stupid it looks, nobody makes fun of you
because they know you're just trying to survive.

Speaker 3 (27:33):
But now that's rare. But women can bring a blanket
and cover up in the stands, but men just need
to layer, don't we. Yeah I can't, she goes. She goes, Okay,
so there'll be a blanket for me and you. And
I said, I'm not doing blanket. I've seen guys sneak
the blanket over like maybe over one day.

Speaker 4 (27:48):
I got to see you that it's rare. That is
so cold. I might have got give me something.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (27:53):
Now, look, we've we've taken sleeping bags and stepped in
them and setting them, pulled them up about mid What about.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Them little heaters. I just don't want to keep up
with that. I'm gonna admit to you, my guy friends. Now,
when she said, well, then this one blanket, I'm gonna
put on these aluminum bleachers because that aluminum is freezing
and we're about to sit down in our little HNA freeze.
And I thought to myself, I'll sit on the blanket,
but I ain't covering up any Yeah, and how about this,

(28:19):
I hate carrying uh stadium seats in.

Speaker 7 (28:23):
Yeah, just sit on the bleach we normally I can't.
I can't sit in the bleachers just because of what
y'all have been talking about.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
You can't keep mashup. I can't keep I'm just.

Speaker 7 (28:30):
I'm gonna talk out loud, and I don't want to
offend anybody, you know, And so I just get. I
get sometimes I can we get so far away. I
got to have binoculars to see what's you know, I'm
like way out in center field, way out, you know.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
But you know something else too, when when you go
to these.

Speaker 7 (28:46):
Ball games and you know you start mid afternoon, but
it's gonna end way after dark, kind of like you
did your your car becomes a locker room. Things that
you know you're gonna need, like different layers. Well, we've
got a jack, we got a hoodie, we got a blanket,
we got this, we got that, And then you just
go back and forth to the to the car.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
As it gets dark, it gets cold. Situation. I know
what your situation is that the sun's out and I
now have a false sense of security that I have
enough clothing. Right then it starts to go down. Anybody's like,
but at least for me. Last night, See, it didn't
start to seven, so when I got there it was
already dark. So we carried everything we needed now a
lot of blankets and but but I don't I just

(29:26):
I've started picturing it. I don't think a man can
be sitting in the stands covered up in a blanket.
I think he's got to, like, if it's.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Going to be cold. I'm normally prepared, like you said,
with layers something like that. Yeah, I was.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
It was an occasion. I'll I'll take a little to blanket.
But it's I'm talking about it's got to be real cold.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
I was layered really good as far as my torso,
I had a false sense of securities that the sweatpants could.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Do the job for the legs. A little regret on
that one. I wish I've done some thermals on under
them sweats. Yeah, I mean, big big diges got a
little license there.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. Only in America. Could

(30:25):
these four men do this for a living, God bless America.
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Thank you for being with us. It is a brand
new one and we got a lot to do. Fox
seats coming up later. We'll have a Burgess Ball battle
right again with Greg Burgess today, another opportunity for you
to win his topic today one hit wonders. A caution,
This is a strong area for Greg strong area right

(30:55):
again coming up before the show is over. Okay, so
no big question to throw out here. Would any of
us here go in to get our hair cut with
a barber that's one hundred and eight years old? No,
a hundred dangerous? You tell about get your ear cut off?
So shaky hand, shake your hands with the ear you

(31:18):
tell them she's one hundred what one hundred and eight
years old? Now, Greg, now I want to know, do
you question the age? These are the Japanese. These are
the Japanese, not China. In China.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
I don't think you can trust any of there right now? No, no,
you can't. I'll trust the age within two years.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
It says a one hundred and eight year old Japanese
woman is the world's oldest female barber.

Speaker 4 (31:41):
So there's older male with I don't know that's a
good question. And so you heard of barber's accidentally hitting
that ear.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I'm going to douce package about it.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
I'm sure that's a woman found a new paper, Greg,
It's just a short haircut.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
I'm looking at her right now and I'm thinking that
he looks Chris.

Speaker 10 (32:00):
Now.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
The Asians they age well, the Asians they know well.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
And black don't crack.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
You know, no one said.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
That black people aged well.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Also, what was that term? They don't want black don't crack?
What do you mean by that?

Speaker 10 (32:15):
Like?

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Uh, like wrinkles? Is crack an analogy for wrinkles?

Speaker 5 (32:20):
Yeah, y'all you haven't heard that, heard No, I have not.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
I was trying to be complimentary, just sitting there letting
you get out of it. Of the two, do you
let me really hang in it? Of the two, who
do you think age is the best? Asians are? Are
black people? I think Asians have got everybody they do.
I think the Asian's close to me. What I've noticed
when it comes to our black brothers and sisters is
the age really well. But the ones who don't. But

(32:45):
he looks rough? Yes, yeah, yeah. If it ever doesn't
work out for you, it's it goes, it goes bad. Yes,
but so the Asians age. Well, look at her hands.
They let me look young. They don't shot. I was
going mad action days. Here's the package we got.

Speaker 11 (33:04):
This barber passed her exams in nineteen thirty six, ninety
one years ago. Shitsui Hakuishi is now one hundred and
eight years old and is still a practicing barber cutting
the hair of people in Nazu, Japan.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Wow, she looks like she's in control. She does, y'all knows.

Speaker 11 (33:23):
I'ving been born in nineteen sixty. She opened a shop
with her husband before losing him during World War Two.

Speaker 5 (33:31):
My husband had to go to raise my children, so
it was necessity in a way.

Speaker 11 (33:37):
Her latest part three seventy three years ago, on becoming
a record hold year.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
I don't know how much time are there.

Speaker 11 (33:48):
She can really hope to keep going as id she's.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Got a hearing age, you know.

Speaker 11 (33:52):
Sing World Records adjudicators were on hand to present her
with the certificate at the age of one hundred and
eight years.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
And one hundred. She's just and gosh, she looks fantastic
at a hundred.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Names and cutting hair.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Okay, I was ready to see a shaky hand, little
shaky that an index finger pretty solid. But let me
tell you, her hands actually work better than mine. Yeah,
I mean I dropped. I dropped stuff all the time.
I can't my grip. And you here and her hands
seemed to be able to do fine motor skills better
than mine.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
I dropped my phone yesterday when I woke up at four,
and uh, boy was loud.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Boy, it was loud.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
You know when your your hands don't work when you
wake first wake up?

Speaker 12 (34:34):
Have you noticed that?

Speaker 5 (34:36):
I don't know how. It sounded like I was dropping
a cinder block in the house. My goodness, But you
know she has a purpose.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
She wakes up every day. She gets after it. It
keeps her young. What was your name? Oh?

Speaker 5 (34:49):
Here is uh, don't do it.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
It's her name. I know, exact play it. I want
to hear how they Yeah? Yeah.

Speaker 11 (35:04):
In nineteen Miss Barber passed her exams in nineteen thirty six,
ninety one years ago. She's sweet, Hay, she is now
one hundred.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Greg, No, don't Greg, he's just sounded out. I don't try.
It's like your sheets not yea there, yeah you got
it has failed? No, it ain't either.

Speaker 10 (35:26):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
You can't very nice, but I'll be honest.

Speaker 5 (35:31):
It doesn't mean the same. She speaks Japanese, doesn't translate.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
All right, so if we can so she's okay, Greg,
that's not a different language's a different language. It's a
different language. It's a different language. Miss. Yeah. But but
she seems to be cutting the hair pretty good. Now,
we're not talking about complicated haircuts. Sweet, we're talking about

(35:58):
a barber. Yeah, she did use the scissors. She didn't
use the shearsissors out really close to ears. And let's
face it, some of her clients are so old. Those
are big ears.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
They are gigantic ear.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Yeah, somebody had a question, would you let her give
you a shave? Oh no, that's a deadly little blade. Now,
somebody's bringing up blue zones on on Netflix on the
text ops and yes, we talked about that on the
on the Wreck and Bubbies show there in the last year,
and I watched that on Netflix and it's an interesting look.

(36:31):
It's an interesting it really is. There's a reason they
do well. There's a reason they do well. Yeah, Americans.
Barbers come from there. Americans. When you look at our
diet and what we do, and of course I've been
as big offender as anybody on the planet is. We
have just decided that if something tastes good, it's worth
it killing us. Yeah it is. We take all the

(36:53):
disease and all the health problems, all the all the dementia,
all the we just take it off as long as
it takes, as long as it tastes good. Today, even
though it's shortening in my life, today was a good day.

Speaker 5 (37:05):
And cups are filled with micro plastics. Yeah, but it's
really easy to brew on Saturday morning.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
There's a perfect example. What's that got to do with
how easy I got coffee? I'm telling you changer, even
though you're limited to have to pot every time. And
that's where Greg and I go off the rail. You know,
Well like a pot, So if I want a second cup,
I just simply pour another one. Yeah, it's got another
pot in Yeah, but se well, listen to you. Who
are you? Who's this person who took your seat?

Speaker 13 (37:31):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
I know you got a new mic, we got a
new host. It's just you make a mess. You're a
podcast in there. You're woa you prefer a pot? You
wait until dad passed away? Have you waited til our
father past. Now you'd have never said that way it
was alive. No, he wouldn't put up with it. Right,
But I have both at the house, do you so
you're telling me that right now, you'd rather all of

(37:54):
us have to get a pot out every time we
want a come coffee here. It wouldn't bother me.

Speaker 5 (37:59):
See, I prefer the pot too. It tastes better. What
it's all a pot, a pot of yeah, yeah, uh,
it tastes better. It's all on glass and metal, and
you're not dealing with all those microplastics. Then I find
myself Saturday morning at my house poop boop, cakeup.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
I think the CA cup serves one purpose. You only
need one cup of coffee, yeah, and then it serves
a purpose. But if you're gonna do multiples, it's a hassle.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
Top of the hour, This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
You better listen up.

Speaker 14 (38:45):
You know, like.

Speaker 1 (38:50):

Burgess Show.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Yeaes igned. Look, we're here. Don't worry about it. You
don't stress any longer of attempting to reason with unreasonable people.
All they do is suck the life out of you.
They're taking years off your days. Don't do that. Love

(40:07):
with Greg Burgess still to come on the program today.
So a couple of things to touch on. You know,
we had to get Adler in line a little bit
there and the break. I had to use a pot
on this coffee right here. Yeah no you didn't. I
had to. Adler messed it up.

Speaker 5 (40:23):
I didn't mess up nothing, Adler, gosh I ain't be
messing up. No nothing.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
When the coffee pot that we all share, there's only
four of us here before all of our friends show
up for their day, their day at work, and then
begin to consume our coffee. All of us have our
buzzbox coffee. We're all here. It's just us. Yeah, And
why would you cut the burner off when there were
still coffee in the pot?

Speaker 13 (40:49):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (40:50):
A lot of yeah and half full? Yeah that there
was a lot. Why did you cut the burner off?

Speaker 5 (40:55):
First of all? One half full?

Speaker 3 (40:56):
Greg? It was it was real close. Can we all
agree on a quarter?

Speaker 4 (41:00):
It was two quarters, it was two cups, it.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
Was one cup.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
Cup, it's one cup. I'm sorry, let me touch my
cold cup depends on how big cup.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
Okay, what is there a sign on the coffee maker?

Speaker 3 (41:11):
Is there a sign sign? What are the words that
the sign? Yeah, it says don't leave the burner.

Speaker 4 (41:20):
I can't remember it exactly what it said exactly, but
there was a you had to half a pot still left?

Speaker 5 (41:25):
Okay, y'all are exaggerated. I turned it off.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Okay, I got the show just started away. We've even
been here long me it's spitty. Both would have got
a cup.

Speaker 5 (41:35):
First of all, I want to say thank you to
whoever makes coffee every morning.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
Today it was me. It's usually great.

Speaker 5 (41:41):
I want to say thank you.

Speaker 3 (41:43):
That's no way to do it.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
But I come in and I get coffee. How many
cups are in that pot?

Speaker 3 (41:48):
Would you say?

Speaker 8 (41:49):
Not?

Speaker 3 (41:50):
Twelve? No? Twelve? Well, what they call it cup? We don't,
We don't consider.

Speaker 5 (41:55):
Let's say it's six. I go in and I generally
get cup number five. Is how it feels leaving one
cup left in the thing?

Speaker 3 (42:03):
If it is.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
If it's one cup, I turn off the burner because
I know that that one cup is gonna get dranked
and the burner is gonna keep it warm enough and
it's not gonna burn it. So I'm thinking of you.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
But it was cold. So the clear instructions on the
coffee pot are for leaving for the day. If it's
empty and you're done, cut off the burner. You cut
off the burner prematurely. Today, you're a premature burner.

Speaker 5 (42:31):
I don't do nothing in my life prematurely. I'm a procrastinator,
all right, So I did not coffee today.

Speaker 3 (42:39):
Cut it off.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
I'm sorry. I was trying to be thoughtful and not
start a fire. Okay, it's about safety.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
You know, we're singing about our coffee right now.

Speaker 1 (42:47):
You just cold is ice.

Speaker 3 (42:51):
Sactrifice his coffee? So I put I put this in
the microwave, missed a little bit. Probably should have gone
a little bit a little more. You should because I'm
so sorry, thoughtful. I'm sorry for being thoughtful. Don't be
reckless with the burner. Why why the show is still going?
You want to you flip it off? Would you say?

Speaker 4 (43:11):
I said, this is the first time I've seen that
happen me too, So I was like, what you must
have been judging good for some reason today?

Speaker 5 (43:17):
You guys just like I'm gonna flip something off, that's
for sure, all right, all right, I'll flip that switch
off and then I'll flip something else off.

Speaker 3 (43:23):
Is that the example? Wish you said for Greg?

Speaker 5 (43:25):
No that it's actually Greg's wearing off on me?

Speaker 3 (43:28):
Well you can.

Speaker 7 (43:30):
You got me in the middle of a rant that
the cracking was released in the coffee area today because
he went nuts over somebody.

Speaker 3 (43:37):
And go nuts.

Speaker 5 (43:38):
I turned it off. It was me, Okay, you don't
need to do the dude about it. We don't need
to have a big mystery. I admit when I do thing.

Speaker 4 (43:48):
Normally, when you cut it off, it's less than what
was in there today.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
Hey, cracking if you're acting like you didn't react. I
was coming from the bathroom and thought someone was calling
me in the hall. I turned around. Who's hot about you?
Who's holler? I thought he did? Yeah? Yeah, he thought?
Brother cutter off. But in the middle of the show.
All right, so here's another thing. Let's get some questions
answered cold. All right, everywhere we go, we're all doing

(44:13):
jokes about the price of eggs. Yeah, everywhere.

Speaker 8 (44:17):
Here and.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Now people are eating platypus eggs. Where does it end?
It's so bad they have a limit on how many
you can buy. Okay, Scott Jennings. You can buy three cards,
Scott Jennings. Anyway, we're grown and we got a lot
of boys too that I thought you only have two
people at home that coming out like an Airbnb around
the house. He saved some for others.

Speaker 7 (44:45):
No, and looky made you another cast role. We got
in here.

Speaker 3 (44:48):
Take all the eggs you want? All right. So now
here's Scott Jennings once again having to talk to the
drama queens that believe that you that somehow the reason
why egg are hot is Donald Trump's fault. Thought he's
gonna bring brises down, thought he's gonna stop being vlad.
And so here is Scott Jennings going the Trump administration

(45:09):
has nothing to do with the price of eggs. Here's
why eggs costs a lot. Right now, here we go.

Speaker 15 (45:15):
On the screen for all the viewers to see of
you with your chicken. I don't know what this chicken's
name is.

Speaker 5 (45:20):
Maybe you do. Scott Jennings has chickens, he does have
to Joe.

Speaker 16 (45:23):
That's sad.

Speaker 15 (45:24):
Well, seriously, is this realistic? Like is this a realistic
solution like I mean it's or is it a little
bit out of touch with I mean, you know there's
a lot of people who you know, have no backyard.

Speaker 10 (45:34):
Put a chicken in for example.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
That's true.

Speaker 17 (45:36):
Well, first of all, I would highly recommend this hobby
to anybody. It's been the most fulfilling and worthwhile thing.
I started with six and now I have thirty five. Again,
I'm like the propo egscabar of my name. Oh my god,
it's outrageous the amount of eggs I get every single day.
And now everybody come over at once, but I.

Speaker 15 (45:51):
Did hear you sometimes bring them here to CNN, and
I'm sure.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
I have brought eggs here.

Speaker 17 (45:55):
Look, I think she was making light of the idea
that backyard chicken farming is taking off. But what is
true is that we killed millions upon millions upon millions
of chickens, which.

Speaker 3 (46:02):
Is why egg prices are high today.

Speaker 17 (46:04):
What I hope is that the Agriculture Department looks at
this chicken culling policy. I think we may have killed
too many. But if you want to know why the
egg prices are high, it's not because of what aning
Donald Trump is. It's just we killed all the chickens
that lay all the eggs. Now, not a problem at
my house. My chickens are in a very nice, secluded
backyard area. They're not interacting with any other U infected animals,

(46:26):
well taken care of, well fed.

Speaker 5 (46:32):
See, I'm like Scott Jennings, and you guys are like
the other people in CNN.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
Saying don't do it. It's stupid and gay. Don't do it.
Nobody said.

Speaker 5 (46:41):
I added that me and Scott Jennings, we're gonna be
chicken farmers. I'm seeing I'm getting chickens he convinced me.

Speaker 3 (46:47):
Thank you, Scott.

Speaker 7 (46:48):
Now, when I saw that clip, that's why it's like,
this is Adler right here.

Speaker 3 (46:52):
Yeah I will.

Speaker 4 (46:53):
I will have to say this though, who wants that
many chickens anywhere around them?

Speaker 3 (46:56):
Thank you? In the world of hyperbole. One of the
most fulfilling things I've ever done. Yeah, that that that's Scott.
I agree with you know what I say, Scott, get
out more. Yeah. Yeah, you can say it's an enjoyable hobby.
And look at this side benefit that Now we have
eggs almost like, hey, we were prepared. I got no

(47:19):
problem with that.

Speaker 5 (47:19):
You convinced me with what you just said.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
The most fulfilling he said he had thirty something. That's
a lot. That's a big numbers a fertilizer. But again,
use it all, circle of life. Listen, listen to the
bigger point. Forget it. The bigger point is the egg
prices are high. Back to something we talked about for
thirty one years on the Rick and Bubba Show and
continue to talk about right now. It's supplying demand. I

(47:44):
don't know why we is walking around people who can
chew gum. It's supplying demand. The prices of eggs are
high because the amount of chickens right now are low,
so there's less eggs. More people need eggs, and the
supply is down, so the price goes up. It's that's
how this works. And some of it we needed to
do because the avion flew. If that's something we needed

(48:06):
to do. Scott's saying, have we overreacted and maybe killed
too many? I don't know the answer to that, But
I do know the answer to why egg prices are
undrell because we have less chickens laying less eggs. Yeah, yeah,
and we still have the same amount of people who
won't it.

Speaker 5 (48:19):
Yeah, they didn't do the massive chicken kill in Mexico,
and so in Mexico the prices of eggs are fine.
There's something sketchy about this massive and here it goes.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
Yeah, I'm with you, something about it. Doc Jennings knows.
When are you getting your chickens.

Speaker 5 (48:35):
I'm thinking about chickens, guys, I'm thinking about getting.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. The people who don't
like this show, you wouldn't like anyway, the Rick budget shows.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
All right, we're back. Got a couple of updates coming
to hang in there. Let me tell you one thing
we looked yesterday, the real look on Greg's face when
he returned after a day of sickness. It says if
the person he was before he slept, the amount of
time he slept, versus the person who came back, they

(49:26):
didn't even like the same person. I got home. I
told you, I said, I saw my brother today and
he looked fantastic. I said, he he looked healthier that
I've seen him in years. Sleep and he looksleep dot
com slash big vox is. Let me tell you that
that's a big reason. I bet when you when you
got in that snugly helix man, I stayed in a while,

(49:49):
you went to sleep so fast, you slept so hard.
Oh yeah, that's deep. Yeah. Then he moved. So you
know why because it was customized for you. That's right,
made for you to just lay down. He'll, don't you
think when you just talk about logic, since we're being
logical right now, Like you know the price of eggs
is up because there's too few eggs and too many
people chasing the supply, and so if you are thinking

(50:13):
about a mattress, let's just use that same logic. If
a mattress was actually designed for me as opposed to
I just pulled one randomly that might work for anybody.
Wouldn't the one designed for me be a better experience?
I mean this issues logically. Yeah, so they give you
a sleep quiz, doesn't they very light? Do you like

(50:33):
to sleep? Yeah? You on your back, your side, your stomach,
little baby brother, he's a side stomach guy, that's right.
And then of course they want to know about Lee Lee,
and she talks about her preferences and U and then
they put together the mattress from their own manufacturing facility
by the way in Arizona, and then they send that
right to your door. They don't charge any shipping for that.

(50:53):
You get one hundred nights to sleep on it to
be sure that it's everything you hoped it would be.
They got big and tall models, they've got actresses just
for kids. Adler sleeps Gregg and his Yeah, so why
don't you go right now to Heli sleep dot com
slash big vox right now, and we'll get you another
twenty percent off. All right, Helix sleep dot com slash
big Vox, or go to rickburgessshow dot com and look

(51:15):
there under the sponsors. Okay, so, Adler scroll down just
a minute, Speedy, I want to go back to that
on the eggs. Let me update him before we get
into this other thing. Tell me when all right, right there,
you're good. All right, So listen, Adler, this is important
speaking for this caution. Remind Adler that if you think
you're going to save money, that may not be the

(51:38):
best motivation. It might be the motivation just is this
is gonna be a great hobby that we love and
we get better tasting eggs. Maybe people say yes on that.
Get ready for six six, eight hundred dollars in feed
and cost of birds before you ever get the first egg.
You're gonna chase that six to eight hundred dollars from
egg one. That does not include the cost of housing

(52:02):
for the birds. You've got to build a coop.

Speaker 5 (52:04):
I have one.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
Plus, you got a coop. I have a chicken house.
Plus listen to this, Adler. And the neighbors in my
neighborhood that tried this said this was their biggest problem.
Everything wants to eat your chickens. The predators are a
constant battle, the hawks, the you know, all other birds
of prey, Franklin and Kevin dogs, you name it. Codies, raccoons,

(52:31):
snakes coming after the eggs. It's it's a battle. Yep.

Speaker 5 (52:36):
I already have a chicken tractor. I just got to
put some wheels on it so I can move it around.

Speaker 3 (52:40):
Excuse me, Yeah, well you'all know what I'm talking about. No,
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (52:45):
Okay, they call it a chicken tractor because I'm pulling
up a picture.

Speaker 3 (52:49):
Because it you don't have one.

Speaker 5 (52:50):
It's a chicken coop. But it's on wheels so that
you can move it around. It's covered, it's totally enclosed,
and you can move it around so that the chickens
get to forage and poop and diffferent areas in your yard.

Speaker 3 (53:01):
You don't have that, and I don't have that.

Speaker 5 (53:03):
I've got it's like much.

Speaker 3 (53:05):
It's like about this big. It's smaller.

Speaker 5 (53:07):
But where did you need to put some wheels on?

Speaker 3 (53:09):
I need to put some wheels on it so I
can move it around. Just be They're just saying, be cautious.
This this notion of the of the saving money that
is a little lofty. You're not saving as much as
you now. If you want to say, we just want
to do it because we want to have eggs and
we want to we think it may be a better
tasting egg. I don't like exact much to do, and

(53:29):
it'll be a great experience. I love eggs, but you're
gonna I know. I have a friend that he's got
he got all in with his family and he said,
I didn't have those chickens any amount of time, and
those hawks and owls they died by me and they
were gone so fast. So so you know, be aware
of that.

Speaker 5 (53:46):
Is that do coyotes like chickens?

Speaker 3 (53:49):
Of course do they? Yeah? Okay, well I do have
coyotes in my backyard. Yeah, you know, that's that's your
You ever heard about the kyode being in the hen
house or the wolf, it's all the same thing.

Speaker 5 (53:59):
Bull in a China.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
You've seen the Lady episode of nineteen twenty three that's out.

Speaker 5 (54:03):
No, I don't watch that show. I don't give that
show anything. I don't give Yellowstone anything.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
I don't give any of the years. I won't give
it away. I mean I saw that, but it was
just on the topic wolves. Oh wolves, yeah, speedy. Also,
I'm gonna give you the floor for a minute. Oh boy,
I know that that we all have we do this
we have a drop up way in a minute. We

(54:27):
deal with the public every day and there really is
no doubt. And I think we all agree. I think
we all agree that our fellow citizens are devolving. Yes,
people seem to be getting dumber by the day. People
seem to be awareness is completely gone, and the ability
to call yourself and just it's just like people seem

(54:51):
to have lost. And do you think some of it
is We're just a distracted society, very.

Speaker 7 (54:56):
Distracted, very distracted and self absorbed. H where's it's our
world and there's no consideration for those around you.

Speaker 3 (55:04):
Tough day at Costco. Yeah, yeah, we we have found
ourselves there. Now.

Speaker 7 (55:09):
Terry loves a Costco day. Let me just tell you, hey, honey,
we got to go. And gracious, I'm an in and
out guy.

Speaker 3 (55:16):
She loves she loves to you know ales and hey
you oh over here.

Speaker 7 (55:21):
Now they're always moving things around and we think it's
on purpose to make you start walking around the store.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
And there never done. Don't do the Costco.

Speaker 7 (55:29):
But and you know, the buggies are big there. Uh,
the isle's are pretty big. But if you're not paying attention,
you can clog a asle up in a second and
it starts backing up, like you're killing us.

Speaker 3 (55:40):
And and you know, so you want to be considerate.

Speaker 7 (55:43):
And if you do have to stop, maybe you're looking
or you're looking down at your phone, you need to
return an email or whatever. I don't know, you try
to kind of maybe get over to the side, even
people can get around you. But then there's those that
just stop in the middle of the aisle and then
they just sit there for a minute, like looking down
at their phone, or maybe they're on the phone and
we're all backed up behind us, or are we just

(56:04):
there's no flow.

Speaker 3 (56:05):
Maybe that's it, there's just no flow. Can't you see
that there's no it's just chaos.

Speaker 7 (56:11):
A lot of the chaos, A lot of the chaos
is just because nobody's paying attention to anybody around them,
and and and that just it drives me crazy. I
don't mean to complain. Maybe I'm just observing it and
it's just bothering me. And I don't know how to
I don't know how to fix it. So you know,
I'll have to go boy, yeah, you know, to where

(56:31):
they oh, I'm sorry, you know, and so and so
once they see you, they're like, oh, I'm sorry, but
if they're so, they're so just into whatever they're doing, the.

Speaker 3 (56:40):
Famous cough thing that we learned and everybody knows.

Speaker 18 (56:45):
Yeah wow, honey, Yeah, so it's over there. Oh I'm sorry,
I can't get to you know, and it's just yeah, wow,
you to return that text over there.

Speaker 3 (56:56):
You know, it's just and then you got the taste
testers at the end to byal, you know, and the
stop on that. And it's a tough day. Man. If
you have forty.

Speaker 5 (57:07):
Items in your car, don't go to self checkout. Don't
do that exactly, don't do that right.

Speaker 3 (57:13):
If you want to stop and eat, that's fine, but
let's not hold everybody else.

Speaker 4 (57:16):
Don't don't block, don't block to tick the traffic flowing out.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. We talked to the
public every day and trust us, you should be gravely concerned.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Yeah, straight up. So we're here again today, signed about
the box seats coming up later, big boys over, He's
ready you metal reassuring. Look, uh Burgess ball battles still
to come right again with Greg Burgess still to come.
Uh so a lot to discuss. Also, don't forget thirty

(58:02):
one years of the Rick and Bubba Show, What a run,
What incredible moments we all shared. You shared a lot
of those with us, some of you that were part
of that. And you can enjoy a new podcast, Rick
and Bubba's Greatest Hits in Radio Gold wherever you get podcasts.
Another episode coming your way tomorrow, So be looking for that.

(58:23):
If you haven't already gotten in the loop there, you
can find it wherever you get podcast Okay, so this
Costco thing is still resonating after the break. You know,
it's a world that I've only stuck my toe in
a few times. Didn't like the experience, don't want to
go back, not a Costco guy, don't fully understand the

(58:46):
whole operation. Didn't like the fill of it. I think
we thought one time, you know, right when Sherry and
I first got married, Early in our marriage, I think
she thought, you know, we could be Costco people. We can't.
It's not our thing, and and I have no desire
to be in there. I don't fully understand it, and

(59:06):
I'm here, I'm starting to understand it more. Listening to
the two of you, Adler, I understand that you bought
something you didn't need. This seems to be a running
Costco theme, you end up going out of there with
things you don't need speedy. I heard him saying, we
go in for three items before we know what, we
spent three hundred both. Oh, it's a ridiculous. Why because

(59:27):
because you just can't it's just there. Hey, that's I
remember the time I was talking to a gentleman that
was connected to our family. I'll leave his name out.
It was not Greg, of course, and I asked him
when I went to their home, and he had enough
pretzels to take care of some of our military personnel

(59:53):
who are in forward positions and they would never want
for pretzels. Yeah, And I said, why any world do
you have this this many boxes of pretzels? And he said,
I got a deal on at Costco. And I was like, well,
you ever they'll go bad? Do you need all these pretzels?
Do y'all? Are y'all? Y'all must really roll through the

(01:00:14):
pretzels here?

Speaker 5 (01:00:14):
Well, he's I mean, he's making money at that point
when you right, you.

Speaker 3 (01:00:18):
Know, yeah, would you like to all go stale? I
understand you came clean well speed.

Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
This was just in the break. I didn't mean to
bring this to the air, but Speedy was like, man,
you can't get out of there for three hundred bucks.

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
I go, yeah, I bought a tent yesterday.

Speaker 12 (01:00:30):
Tent.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
Why'd you buy a tint one hundred bucks?

Speaker 5 (01:00:35):
You can't beat camping tent? A camping tent?

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
Do you camp a lot?

Speaker 5 (01:00:40):
It's got a light, it's lit.

Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
So you can't beat it, that was your answer.

Speaker 5 (01:00:44):
I was like, Welline, it's not even a hundred bucks
in it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:49):
We're going to use it. We're never gonna use it,
but we got it.

Speaker 5 (01:00:52):
Yeah, we'll use it. We'll use it. I've got the van,
but I am discovering that it's going to be difficult
to convince for four people to sleep inside that van.

Speaker 3 (01:01:02):
Okay, so this whole thing about the sweep, but you're
not sleeping in the tent.

Speaker 5 (01:01:06):
And so what I think I'm probably gonna have to
do eventually is Ezra and I in the tent right
outside the van. Then and then the mom and Ruby
can sleep in the van.

Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
Could you all force sleep in the van?

Speaker 5 (01:01:19):
We could, but it'll be tight.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Could you all force sleep in the tent?

Speaker 5 (01:01:23):
We could, but it would be tight.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
Okay, so it's not that big a tent.

Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
It's you guys know how these tents are. They say
it's a six person. No, it's a three person. You
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
In the tent.

Speaker 7 (01:01:35):
So you're thinking about actually going out, and we're at
the campsite and all that. I thought you were thinking
about more of like backyard, also on the deck, pop
it up, let the kids play in it and all that.

Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
Also that great point, speedy you are. You're verifying my purchase.
You're making it even justify.

Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Can ask you a tough question here, married folk. What
if Aaron had come home with a tenth and said,
I thought I'd spend one hundred bucks on a tent
because it was a good deal.

Speaker 5 (01:02:06):
So I pick up the kids, picked up the kids
after going to Costco, pick up the kids from their school,
and Ruby sees the tent in the back of the van.
First thing she says to Aaron when she gets home,
Daddy bought a tent, and so that's.

Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
Where came from.

Speaker 5 (01:02:29):
I had to justify that tent purchase. I wish I
had thought it out more because my argument did not
sound as good as it just sounded.

Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
I could take it back. You didn't have time to
get it right.

Speaker 5 (01:02:38):
Yeah, but I mean, honestly, they do a good job
of vetting their products and their brain. So it's like,
all right, ninety nine. Can't beat that for a good quality.

Speaker 3 (01:02:48):
Tent if you actually need one.

Speaker 5 (01:02:51):
By the way, so I built the deck on the side.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
That's a great deal on a tent. What's that basic You've.

Speaker 5 (01:02:56):
Already established you don't know jack about.

Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
Tents, that's right. I know that I don't want one,
and I'm not spending one hundred dollars on it. That
so all right.

Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
I built the deck on the back of the house.
Eventually I want to cover it and screen in a
section of it, but that's that's expensive.

Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
Is just before after you put the wheels on your
chicken coop. Yeah, it will be after.

Speaker 5 (01:03:17):
So instead of covering it and screening in the back deck, boom,
you set up the tent. And that's good as and
Aaron did not think that was a good when she went.

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
With off the spine. Well, it's not good. I got
a ten I can put on our deck because that
looks good. Yeah, it does, it does.

Speaker 7 (01:03:31):
Now this is where we also got the basketball little
goals over here.

Speaker 5 (01:03:36):
Yes you got that from there. Yes, I did about
three of them. I'll sacked three, one for here, one
for my house, one for my brother's house. I walked
out of Costco with three of those.

Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
Well, it must have been a great deal. You couldn't pass.

Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
It's a good deal.

Speaker 3 (01:03:51):
Can't beat that.

Speaker 5 (01:03:52):
That's that's a thousand dollars if it's if it's a dollar, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:03:55):
Greg, because we're all well versed on the cost of
double double basketball.

Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
Yeah what, so many people need them. Yeah, there's a
big demand on those. So yeah, you So your idea
to to justify your tent purchase at Costco was to tell,
to Greg's point, the wife who's looking forward to the
screen didn't porch good news. Hey, don't need it. Anyone
got a got a solution. It's a ninety nine ten

(01:04:21):
and it.

Speaker 5 (01:04:23):
Does have a light in it. It's got a dome light.

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Well, but that right there, Greg, have you ever done
the Costco thing? No? Here, I dipped my toe in it.
And it was like, if somebody's saying, if you enjoy chaos,
and you've already confirmed that again today, if you enjoy chaos,
I'm like that. There's palettes around here. Everybody's trying now.
I like looking around seeing people with snacks. But as

(01:04:46):
you said, that just leads to people standing in line
for snacks blocking the out. You know, it's I don't
know what's going on in there. I don't understand it.
Everything looks like it's difficult to get the worst stuff
real high up there on the top. A lot of
bus that big slice of pizza. Oh yeah, yeah, take away.

Speaker 5 (01:05:05):
The Costco pizzas are actually really good. Yeah, the Costco
pizzas are actually really really good and cheap, so cheap
not bad. If you want a cheap pizza, that is
the one to go with, honest speed. He knows what
I'm talking about. And then the dollar fifty foot long
hot dog and you get a drink with it for
one dollar and fifty cents. You can't beat that. And
then but I will say this, this angers a breakdown

(01:05:33):
every time. It angers me. When I am leaving, I'm
through the madness of all the eyes, I'm going past
all the samples. I stand in line, and they don't
have all the checkouts open. I'd like to see more.
Or yesterday I did self checkout. I had a box
of band aids and a tent in my hand, and
the lady in front of me had forty items in
the self checkout.

Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Do not take a lot on the checkout.

Speaker 5 (01:05:55):
Yeah, after you get through all that, you think you're
free and clear, and there's a person at the door
checking your receipts to make sure what that I haven't
stolen some of Ye, I'm going to count all. Am
I a thief?

Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
I'm already paying to be a member here, don't call
me a thief.

Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
Also, I crammed the receipting in my back pocket because
I forgot so I got to dig that.

Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
Out while while holding a tent and some band aids.
Do you ever when you like, say you're ninety nine
dollars ten, do you ever factor in your membership fee
there to see what do you're really getting? Yeah, because
you know it's not free.

Speaker 5 (01:06:31):
It's not free.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
You know that's a charge every month. It's not as bad.
It's annual. It's annual that make it less money. I
think they just that's just how they do it. So, Yeah,
you're an interesting fellow. And everybody agrees on that. This
is the guy Greg this wants to warn us about
being cutting back on our seed oils. Yes, okay, but
he'll go to Costco for a piece of pizza and

(01:06:54):
a foot long hot dog. Yeah, yeah, foot long hot
You talk about health, yeah, well you know, yeah, I didn't.
I didn't take any flax oil today. That's a scam.
I didn't do any sunflower seed flat oil because watch
all that. But I did eat a footlong hot dog
and a slice of pizza at Costco. Now, I won't
drink the bottled water any moderation.

Speaker 7 (01:07:13):
I'm gonna I'm gonna speak for addle here and I
had we hadn't even talked about this Adler. Time of
day you go, I'm I'm kind of picturing your day,
and I know what time you go. You've gone hungry
and you walk past that that area and you smell
the food and you're like, man, I'm starving. Yeah, and
it's way before dinner. You hadn't got the kids yet, right,
and you just need something. Give me that foot by

(01:07:34):
the way, just a weak moment, rick the It's it's
not as much as.

Speaker 5 (01:07:38):
You think for for sixty five a year, so pretty good.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
You know what. You can't beat that. You can't eat it.

Speaker 5 (01:07:45):
You're making money at that point, you're making money.

Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
I can't beat it. See people on Texas said, what
we're what reason why it's worse, he said, Believe it
or not, women are more apt to make off the
spine buys in that setting than they even do on Amazon.
On I mean it's right there, they can grab it.
They said, my wife's worse there than Amazon. We'll be read.

Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
By This is the Rick Burgess Show doing what he
was born to.

Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
Do with the Rick Burgess Show, hanging out with the guys.
We're having a blast again today. Thank you for joining us.
Still to come the Fox Seats also Burgess Ball Battle
and right again with Greg Burgess. All still to come. Today.
We have talked about the Space X explosion again with

(01:08:45):
the Starship number eight. We've seen some cool video of
the debris all through space. We've hit that. We've run
down a number of things. Greg at little disappointed in
you join the crowd fil well the the textures. Uh,
you had an opportunity just handed to you on a platter.

(01:09:06):
Adler was screaming out at Costco, I'm not a thief
and people are saying maybe they know about what he
did and senimeybe they know have a record. Yeah, maybe
there's a picture of Adler saying this kid stole a
key chain. Watch him.

Speaker 5 (01:09:24):
I was in middle school trying to impress my friends
chain with a bullet on it. I busted for it,
and I evidently will pay for it for the rest
of my life.

Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
Listen got banned for the whole summer. He loves his story.

Speaker 5 (01:09:34):
You seem like a lot over there, favorite story, darkness
point of my childhood.

Speaker 3 (01:09:38):
In fact, he was trying to show off to his buddies.
Makes it all girls, that's the girl. Well, okay, let me.

Speaker 4 (01:09:44):
Ask you when they reached down and grabbed your shoulder
and said, hey, pal, that had to be a terrible thing.

Speaker 5 (01:09:49):
Oh terrible grave. I still live in it, because.

Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
You ever live it down? Please? Yeah, I got my
keycha it. Oh we do? Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I
got both here. So we do have now when I
see the headline, when I see the headline, and we
do have video with this as well. In audio, screaming

(01:10:13):
Southwest passenger, if I just stopped right there, I were like,
that's not a story. I've been on there screaming, Oh yeah,
would any would always have if you fly commercial with
any airline right now, screaming and being frustrating and losing
your mind, that's not abnormal, but then it takes a
turn screaming Southwest passenger strip naked on the plane, shocking

(01:10:33):
fellow flyers, including children. So that that we do have
is it a it's a full boone package on this okay,
no pony intended well and there it is all right.

Speaker 19 (01:10:45):
Here we go t West Airlines flight that was bound
for Phoenix. That flight didn't even make it off the ground,
turning back to the gate after a woman stripped completely
naked and started cursing at the flight crew point. Passengers
say she tried to get inside the cockpit. Anything and
thanks so much for joining us for twelve is a ten.

(01:11:06):
I'm kadiva divine.

Speaker 20 (01:11:07):
This is a wild story. Thanks for joining us tonight
on Mark Curtis. The entire thing was caught on camera
by another passenger who walked us through how it all
went down on board No public journalists, Chase going away
to his live at Sky Harbor where that flight was headed,
and Chase was the woman charged No.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Mark Rebay.

Speaker 21 (01:11:28):
According police, that woman was not charged and said when
police detained her, they took her to a hospital for
a medical evaluation. Even though some of those passengers told
me they were scared of this situation, and there were
several children on this flight.

Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
Now we warning to our viewers.

Speaker 21 (01:11:42):
While we did blur parts of this video, some may
still find it disturbing.

Speaker 16 (01:11:46):
Yes, it was so shocking.

Speaker 21 (01:11:49):
Passengers on this Southwest f con't believe what they were seeing.

Speaker 16 (01:11:54):
This is something that you see out of a movie.

Speaker 21 (01:11:57):
A woman on the plane, stripping completely naked, walking up
and down.

Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
The aisle was alight, it was very packed.

Speaker 21 (01:12:06):
We spoke with one of those passengers, who asked to
remain anonymous. She said they had just boarded the plane
in Houston and were about to leave for Phoenix when
the woman, while fully dressed, walked to the front of
the plane and started yelling.

Speaker 16 (01:12:18):
I do remember her saying that she wanted to get
off the flame.

Speaker 21 (01:12:21):
The passenger also said she heard the woman yell that
she was bipolar. Then when the plane started taxing to
the runway, she.

Speaker 22 (01:12:27):
Started like jumping up and down, screaming at the top
of her lungs.

Speaker 16 (01:12:40):
It was very evident that she was having a mental breakdown.

Speaker 21 (01:12:42):
At one point, another passenger said the woman grabbed a
flight attendant. Everyone on the plane crying to remain calm,
but it just.

Speaker 16 (01:12:49):
Kind of kept to myself.

Speaker 22 (01:12:50):
I didn't want to serve any problems, and I was
just hoping that the plane wouldn't take off, which it didn't,
thank god.

Speaker 21 (01:12:55):
The plane returned back to the gate, where another worker
came in and covered the woman with a blanket before
she took off.

Speaker 22 (01:13:02):
The lady just runs out of the airplane and that
was where she went.

Speaker 21 (01:13:07):
Houston Police said she was taken to a hospital for
medical evaluation. At this time, she isn't facing any charges.

Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
Why why why aren't you facing charges? I guess they
figured she had flipped her lid how getting them a look.
The couple of the men the best lot I've ever been.

Speaker 23 (01:13:27):
This.

Speaker 3 (01:13:27):
Yeah, a couple of men said, well, you know, the
movies on here aren't very good at all. Wow. But
the men, the men were not one. I mean, it's
that is that was weird. Wow. Well, if you look
into if you look at and I don't want to
go super serious here, but this is a marker if
you are familiar with spiritual warfare. I'm not saying that

(01:13:51):
mental illness isn't a real thing, and not all of
it is tied to spiritual problems. I understand that, but
but I'm not saying that, and I hope she does
get help. But usually when you see the stripping naked
and the wild you know, slinging the head and convulsing
and all that, that that usually is a marker of
demonic forces in play. Here. They'll strip your naked in

(01:14:14):
the second you Sarah throwing the head around. Yeah, I
didn't like that.

Speaker 5 (01:14:19):
That's the only throw around, all right, Right, The passengers
all got a fifty dollars voucher, so.

Speaker 3 (01:14:27):
Oh well, thank you, they said. A couple of men said,
we're even keep it.

Speaker 7 (01:14:33):
So she put her hand on a flight attendant and
didn't get arrested.

Speaker 3 (01:14:37):
Understand, I guess they're saying that she had a medical
mental issue, so we're not going to hold her accountable.
But don't we hold everybody accountable when they do things
that are against the law, even though it might have
been a mental breakdown, Don't we still have some sort
of accountability there. We understand you may have a problem,
but you can't go grabbing people, you can't strip yourself naked.

(01:14:58):
You know all that you still have to you paid
the debt for that right to society for misbehaving.

Speaker 5 (01:15:05):
Maybe, like they said, Greg, if you flip your lid.
They just take you to the looney bin or something.

Speaker 14 (01:15:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
I think they just said it's a mental situation. So
you're saying they're almost ruling already. Yeah, her punishment not punishment,
but her correction is that we're going to get her
the help she needs. So she she is. We are
dealing with it, and we think this is the way
to deal with Yeah. Just like if you went to
trial and they deemed you were you were mentally incompetent

(01:15:32):
at the time, So we're gonna now put you in
a mental health facility and this.

Speaker 7 (01:15:36):
Time but from panic attack, anxiety attack, whatever to I
don't have any clothes down on running up and down
the aisle having quick Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
I mean there's a lot of.

Speaker 7 (01:15:45):
People that kind of have anxiety when the plane about
to lift all or maybe a little bit of panic
killing but not good.

Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
The don't strip naked and run up and down the aisle. No,
I haven't seen that, and I will tell you they've
been on plane once again. I always think about this,
you know, you know what happens when you fly and
where how was your flight? You got any have you
got time? It was a literator? Yeah, it's how many
phones got out with video. Nowadays you're gonna get footage.

(01:16:10):
Oh yeah. Imagine what if I came back to the
show and I was there and you're like, you check
video and I was like, no, no, I adn't think that.
I would be like what But but I mean, it's.

Speaker 5 (01:16:20):
I can't believe she tried to get into the cockpit.

Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
That's my that's whenever. Yeah, that's when everybody on the
plane that that's when it goes to another place. Yeah,
we got somebody misbehaving, But when they try to go
in there with the pilot, is that that not?

Speaker 1 (01:16:34):
Now?

Speaker 5 (01:16:35):
If I was on that flight, I would have sprung
into action, you know, do some jiu jitsu ground Yeah,
you take her back and put her in a mere
naked choke intended.

Speaker 7 (01:16:45):
Yes, I would call to the cockpit to the pilot,
do not open that door.

Speaker 3 (01:16:49):
Dude running all day, they said. The co pilot said
he didn't crack it for just a minute. Yeah, all right,
the hour, we'll be right back to.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
This is the Rick Burgess Show.

Speaker 24 (01:17:21):
Big Fox Entertainment presents The Rick Burgess Show with Speedy,
Greg Burgess, Eddie Van Adler, and Rick Burgess.

Speaker 3 (01:17:36):

Speaker 5 (01:17:53):

(01:18:20):
we got weekend coming up, and we'll get you set
up and ready to go for the weekend. And as
we continue to work through it.

Speaker 7 (01:18:28):
Speaking of the weekend, ye most most consider fridays, you know, hey,
the start of the weekend. Sure, sure, getting on into it.
What do you what? What do you have today?

Speaker 3 (01:18:41):
Speedy? The thing where he loves, this thing where he
wants you to go through. What you're doing right?

Speaker 7 (01:18:45):
And I just remember, I mean go where you were
out late last night at Brodie's lacrosse.

Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Game that he coached. It's fine, like you just didn't
have anything to do. Crazy, it was later than I
wanted to. It was always on ends of the night.
I mean.

Speaker 7 (01:19:01):
I've had You've had a couple of busy weekends with
the man church conferences.

Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
Back to conference season behind us down?

Speaker 7 (01:19:06):
Yeah, yeah, speaking engagements, all kinds of stuff. Yep, you
read what was it Wednesday for the new book? Wednesday
doing the audio version of the book that's.

Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
Coming out in late May. Men don't run through the rain?

Speaker 24 (01:19:19):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:19:19):
Yep? Did that on Wednesday? And how many sessions do
you have? I'm gonna try it because I told you
that my style i'd rather take big bikes grind through
fewer days.

Speaker 7 (01:19:29):
So I'm back today today on a Friday. If you're
listening live, correct, do you schedule that for a Friday? Well,
I just want to.

Speaker 3 (01:19:36):
I mean, I'm glad that I have the honor to
do this, but I'm want to get it done. And
I didn't really have a lot going on this weekend,
which is had abnormal as you mentioned, so I didn't
think there was anything else that was pressing today. And

(01:19:57):
I know that Sherry's got plans today and and I
just said, well, I'm gonna see if I can't knock
it out because it's one of those days that I
don't have to really be anywhere. Now. One thing I
didn't think about because I looked at the schedule today
and you know I know this. I want to be
very low maintain as you know that. And uh so

(01:20:19):
I'm I'm eleven to four. Wow, And it just hit me.
What's up for lunch? I mean they gonna break for lunch?
They should I bring a lunch? Do I just go
front end? Ladies? Please don't ask you to have snacks again.
They didn't have snacks Wednesday, little bone and contention. Uh

(01:20:41):
so I'm gonna bring I should bring my own snacks.
They've made that perfectly clear. Uh So, what what do
do y'all break for?

Speaker 13 (01:20:49):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Do y'all have breaks?

Speaker 13 (01:20:51):
Like?

Speaker 7 (01:20:51):
Hey, we almost like an intermission? Hey here, we we're
just gonna break for fifty.

Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
Like if we break, is there is there craft services?
Are you gonna you're gonna? Am I? Am I on?
Door dash? Am I door dashing to the studio? That's
not a bad And what am I doing?

Speaker 9 (01:21:06):
Well?

Speaker 3 (01:21:06):
What's happening at lunch?

Speaker 7 (01:21:08):
I think if you if you're gonna door dash, you
do it here and take it with you.

Speaker 3 (01:21:12):
Right, because I think what I'm gonna if you're if
you're like the producer, what I probably don't do is
walk in and say are we eating no, right, because
they probably like eleven to be when we start reading,
wouldn't they? Yeah, but you know they might. Let's let's
give them benefit of the doubt. If you're working through
lunch because the last one was late afternoon lunch was over, right,

(01:21:34):
they might be thinking o'clock snack? Did they get it?
They might?

Speaker 7 (01:21:39):
Do you have the local engineers information where you can
reach out to them?

Speaker 3 (01:21:42):
I do? I think I think I do and just
ask him, Hey, do I need to be prepared? Are
you going to have I think I do. It won't
do any good to call Nashville because they're not going
to be there. I know I have that, I think
I do. I feel pretty strong that I do.

Speaker 10 (01:21:58):
OK.

Speaker 3 (01:21:58):
Yeah, because you can't no moving in for lunch. I
mean it's so I think. So you're saying be prepared, Yeah,
go ahead and door dash me something maybe in the
last hour of the show today, to go ahead and
go on a scheduled delivery. The problem is you find
on door dash on the scheduled deliveries it's post eleven.

(01:22:20):
Really yeah, if.

Speaker 7 (01:22:20):
It's lunch, well, and you're gonna have to go something
like a sub so if it gets cold, it's not
gonna be bad. I'm very concerned here you're gonna be
I want to be till one o'clock, but I after
want from one to four.

Speaker 3 (01:22:31):
They better You're gonna get angry and and all. I
don't want to be high maintenance because that's not my nature.
But I would say this a nice craft service lunch.
Maybe a sandwich table would be great. I'd love to
have some bottled water there, you know, not asking for it.
Had to work a little hard for coffee last time.

(01:22:52):
And you know, maybe let's let's be prepared for a
three o'clock snack, maybe maybe a two to two third.
Give me the local engineer. Okay, you bring him over.
It's it's in my super. I'll get that for you.
You ever said that was still in this morning?

Speaker 4 (01:23:08):
Still there, and you were here before stealing it, and I
said the same thing.

Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
I forgot. I'm just stealing it back to it in
like it's a truck. I forget that, neighbor, Rick's still
in the super. How many times have you hit your
head going in? So many? But you know what's happening, Greg,
You know me better than anybody. It's starting to be
my typical experience. Now now it's almost gonna be a
hassle to good truck back. I know, I know this.

(01:23:36):
I'm through. I'll call and say, what trade you get
on the truck? How about this card.

Speaker 1 (01:23:43):
Come back?

Speaker 3 (01:23:44):
And then of course Sherry got me on that. She goes,
so what you can do about hunting season? And I said,
that's so far away. Yeah, you have a different plan
by then, and Gary's taking the turkey hunting with the
turkey to the back of his truck. Sure, Hey, whenever
you all ready to let me know, just get an old,
old truck, just keep it at the farm. Somebody asked me,
you know, somebody asked me in Haybird a bird if
Gary was going to it was a big turkey thing

(01:24:07):
close to us and where we live today. And I asked, really, yeah,
and he did say about two days ago. Hey, if
I go over and I might I may drop by.
Was that the Haybird Haybird email you Yes, you sent
okay correct? Are you read? Yeah? Hey, if I'm gonna
be up there, I might come by. The Only thing
I think that this one may be an issue is

(01:24:28):
I think some of the people that are going to
be at that one it's almost like they're kind of
rivals to Gary. Oh you know what I mean. Okay,
it'd be like somebody, you asking somebody to go to
something that one of the rivals was going to get.
They really sell. I think in Nashville it was such
a big event. He didn't have to interact with any rivals.

(01:24:50):
He was the industry, right, this one is just this
particular outdoor place, so it would be very personal where
you're looking eye to eye at the rivels right, will
make a mess of it. I mean, they think that
thing that they hocking, they think that's your turkey. Yell yeah,
scoffing at it. Yeah, oh yeah, watch him kind they
do just for a big time manufacturing. That's a cheap one,

(01:25:14):
you know.

Speaker 7 (01:25:15):
So I am concerned. Back to your reading, if you
don't mind. So you wore a hoodie to read for
four five hours. That get hot, you're gonna get and
your beard's gonna start rubbing.

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Here. They told me not to worry anything that will
make noise on the mot I tell you better tell
what made noise on Wednesday. My stomach browned you out
and we had to back. We had to redo one time.
Guys do you hear your stomach said, yeah, I heard it.
Is that your stomach? Yeah, it is. You know what,
probably wouldn't have hurt if we'd had a snack.

Speaker 5 (01:25:46):
Yeah, pudding cups.

Speaker 3 (01:25:51):
When it's pretty normal for craft services to be there
for a production.

Speaker 7 (01:25:56):
I hate one other thing you're not thinking of. The
big vox seats might show out a day, so our.

Speaker 3 (01:26:01):
Front end load. You might well that, but you also
might have something you could take with you. Okay, that's
that's not Hey, that a boy. That's not bad at all.

Speaker 7 (01:26:09):
And be hey and feel free to take you know,
those little breakfast uh slices that Terry made.

Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
There's not enough of those words. It must be another container.
What I saw didn't have a lot in it. Yours
two containers. Okay, I didn't know that. I didn't need it.
Somebody I haven't. The trader's turning off white stuff. Hey
watched the Costco kid in there. Yeah, I've not had
a square of that. Because you can have you can
take that, we can heat it up. Yeah, you don't

(01:26:36):
want to that. You don't have to travel with it.

Speaker 1 (01:26:39):
What's hard.

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
It's just a tub ware. You're gonna walk in and
do that tote and the tubbleware.

Speaker 7 (01:26:45):
I do want to see you could take the granola
with either. Sometimes are saying that maybe some.

Speaker 5 (01:26:50):
Yeah look good, Yeah, some koboucha, some avocado.

Speaker 25 (01:26:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
This is the Rick Burgess Show. The truth needs no apology,

(01:27:19):
The Rick Purchase Show.

Speaker 3 (01:27:23):

(01:27:45):
the snacks from. Stand we have the voice recorder from
the woman on The Southwest airlines voice. Recorder now they're
starting to go back and, listen and they said when
she did strip herself naked and was running around and
trying to enter the, cockpit they let the pilot and
the co pilot know there's a naked woman trying to
break into the. Door, strangely when you listen to the,

(01:28:07):

review of unlawful dei practices at some of the nation's
largest law.

Speaker 13 (01:31:32):
Firms this is an absolute honor to say what they've

Speaker 3 (01:31:49):

ask the same question of this poor soul here in
the box seats today that gets an autograph picture from? You,

(01:32:22):
no it Was, GREG i saw. Him trump also continues
another executive, order declaring the month Of march seems like
a little bit. Unnecessary, Frankly Women's history. Month you know,
this this. ONE i think that every day and every
month belongs to. Women it, appears but this is women's

(01:32:44):
here on the, left this is women's, History women's history,
month his history. Month and he's going to declare, that
showing once again that he stands with the women Of.
America and if you're watching some of the things going
on with the, left they once claim, that but it's
getting harder and harder for them to make that. Case
so here Is trump signing that executive.

Speaker 9 (01:33:03):
Order so two very special, proclamations the first of which
is a proclamation that Proclaims march twenty twenty five As
Women's History, month in honor of all the wonderful women
in your, administration all the wonderful women In, america and
in honor of everything you've done for. Women and this
administration is done for women in just what a month

(01:33:25):
and a.

Speaker 13 (01:33:26):
Half so we've done a. Lot you young women have
done a lot for. Us, right this is an. Honor
we have a wonderful woman, Here maria Bot roma.

Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
Much nice to have, You, Maria thank.

Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
You very much For president all that you're doing for.

Speaker 3 (01:33:42):
Women thank. You she's got to do an interview with me.
Later MAYBE i shouldn't do this.

Speaker 13 (01:33:46):
INTERVIEW i should be Like, biden not doing the interviews.

Speaker 6 (01:33:51):
The.

Speaker 3 (01:33:51):
Way So National Women's History month In.

Speaker 7 (01:33:58):
MARCH i mean in the world we live, in, right
it's the forgotten sex. Apparently, yeah thank you speaking our
biological women out.

Speaker 4 (01:34:09):
There so you're, SAYING i don't, know the swimmer's name
is not being honored this many yeah times.

Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
Whatever, california let's go to TWO. A California Governor Gavin
newsom on that, note he's gonna try this deal where
he doesn't think that biological males should be competing its biological.
Females but he's gonna do nothing about, it all? Right,
Okay so here he is.

Speaker 5 (01:34:30):
And this is, uh this Is Gavin newsom's new. Podcast
his very first. Guest he Chose Charlie.

Speaker 7 (01:34:37):
Kirk, oh do you want to know? Why Because newsom's
thirteen year old. Son it Loves Charlie kirk And newsom
can't believe.

Speaker 3 (01:34:47):
It all, right let's let's just hold then let's come
back and do. That, yeah because we've got Some Charlie
kirk as. Well, yeah Why Gavin newsom would do? This
but you're gonna. WATCH i heard some nobody else would
be on, there right. RIGHT i heard other talking about
this yesterday and they're absolutely. Right is the game That
Gavin newsom is about to, play and if he uses

(01:35:08):
the WORDS i think he's gonna use based on some
of the COMMENTS i saw, Yesterday he's going to try
to play a little. Bit and if it's not in,
Here i'll tell you what he did. Too he's going
to use words that those of us that are people
of faith in The christian, community they try to take
some words that we hold dear and anytime they want
to do something that is violating one part Of god's,

(01:35:30):
standard they'll use some of these catch words as if
they're still, okay got, it you, Know and we'll talk
about that a little. More so we'll come back and
we'll play That Gavin newsom and how he tries to
walk this line on biological males and females based off
the executive order also just signed By trump when we.

Speaker 2 (01:35:51):
Continue this is The Rick Bridgers, Show Blood casting prol.

Speaker 3 (01:36:14):
The Ricky butcher's all, right so we were just talking about,
this some of you are texting about, it and, yeah
we are in that story, now so we let you
see the executive orders Of trump as we're kind of,
that you, know on things that are going on around the.
World so if you remember back on The rick And Bubbas,
Show bubba kept predicting That Gavin newsom would step in

(01:36:36):
to save the day for The. DEMOCRATS i think they
realized that those that live in the real world that
there was no way they were going to win that,
election and they almost just Threw Kamala harris out there
so they could say they. Did and we all think
at some Point Gavin newsom is going to rear his
head and try to be the face of The Democratic.
Party so this is all pretty. Interesting he has a.

(01:36:58):
Podcast he Has Charlie kirk on the. Podcast. Uh he
they'll talk ABOUT i think in here BECAUSE i Know
speedy you were saying it That Gavin newsom's son is
a Huge Charlie kirk. Fan uh and follows everything That
Charlie kirk. Does so that's going to interesting lead to
some interesting. Conversations but first we'll talk About Gavin newsom

(01:37:21):
signing the most radical translaw in the, nation but then
acknowledges that it's unfair to have transgender athletes in female.
Sports bill bart whatever dog's bargain loud mm. Hmm oh
there you, go hi buddy You? Mike ever heard? That
loud and?

Speaker 6 (01:37:36):
Clear?

Speaker 3 (01:37:36):
Yeah about? That all? Right so here here is the.

Speaker 27 (01:37:39):
Clip it's, like you right now should come out and be,
like you know, what the young man who's about to
win the state championship in the long jump in female,
sports that's that that shouldn't. Happen, you as the governor
should step out and say, no, No AND i, appreciate
and but, like would you do something like, that would
you say no men in female?

Speaker 14 (01:37:55):
Sports, well IT'S i think it's an issue of. FAIRNESS
i completely agree with you on. That so that's easy
to call out the un fairness of.

Speaker 7 (01:38:00):
That but Yet i'm as signed By, Yeah, okay so
he's a fence.

Speaker 3 (01:38:05):
Writer he's full of, it he, is but he's a.
Politician now watch him right, here watch him right, here
because it's not in this. Clip BUT i saw that
he goes on further on some of the written stories about.
This he goes as far and this is where they
start using these phrases AND i AND i will come.
IN i saw some commentators out, there men of, faith

(01:38:26):
that were calling him on, It So i'm pointing out
what they pointed. Out they're right when, asked he got
pressed on this a little. MORE i don't know if
it was With Charlie, kirky just another interview about, this
and they're, like, well if you believe it's, unfair then
why won't you stop? It and of course he pulls
out the, phrase as we hear all the, time h

(01:38:47):
inside the, church when the church starts drifting to to
more of a feel good you, know abusing one characteristic Of,
god why ignoring the? Others we have to we have
to look at every aspect Of, god not just our. Favorites,
Okay and and he, says, well because of mercy and.
Grace he starts throwing, out oh, okay so we need

(01:39:08):
so it's gracious to let a biological man dominate female.
Sports what about being gracious to the to the biological.
Female but, SEE i thought like these were mercy and.
GRACE i mean just being. Gracious i'm just being. KIND
i don't want anybody to. Upset, no, no, no you
made a. Choice you don't want the transgender to be.
Upset you couldn't give a rip if you've upset the biological. Female,

(01:39:31):
apparently so you. Can't we can't let him get away with.
That and you know it's just like, You, WELL i
don't want to get him. That that'll turn everything upside.
Down so let's stay where we are. Now but just
the point is your. Point watch. Him he's fence writing
right now and he's trying To this is the all.
Inclusive the problem with the desire to be all inclusive
is that's. Impossible it is there's no way to be

(01:39:52):
all inclusive because some people's ideology and some people's moral,
standards and some people's absolute truth collide with other people
who absolutely disagree with their absolute, truth and you can
never be all. Inclusive you got to pick what you
believe and you got to. Stand, Okay so next we
Have Charlie. Kirk he's gonna Force newsom to admit The

(01:40:16):
democrats are losing the media. War so here we, go we're.
Losing we have.

Speaker 14 (01:40:20):
THIS i feel it's asymmetry Of Donald trump And elon
musseny on.

Speaker 3 (01:40:26):
Tweets are you doing social?

Speaker 14 (01:40:28):
Media they're me doing a three minute hit at three
o'clock in the afternoon A.

Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
CNN i, mean how the hell will we? Compete we're toast,
WELL i, Mean i'm part of.

Speaker 27 (01:40:39):
It and credit to you for doing long form, podcasting
because long term podcasting does penetrate different, audiences, right and
our show does very. Well but part of the problem
of The Democrat party that for the health of the,
country would be great to, change is That democrats cannot
survive in long form podcasting. Environments it's too, unscripted it's too, masculine,
honestly and The democrat parties because.

Speaker 14 (01:41:01):
What i'm masculine about a podcast, honestly BECAUSE i get
the whole manosphere that grope to go.

Speaker 27 (01:41:05):
Into the wilderness with no rules and duel it out
and see who's better or who's strong and, SERIOUSLY i mean,
LIKE i, mean like we don't do.

Speaker 3 (01:41:13):
It you're right for whatever, reason don't do.

Speaker 27 (01:41:14):
It you can, Laugh but like who in The Democrat?
Party you're, right we will. GO i mean Maybe Bernie,
sanders but he only he was A. Democrat bobby who's now.
Hs but, like there's something to be said that if
you want to earn the respect of Forgotten, america you
have to show them that you can intellectually joust with no,
script no hard, breaks no producers in the, ears no.

(01:41:35):
Teleprompters that's where new media is going. NOW i will
only challenge one.

Speaker 3 (01:41:39):
Thing you.

Speaker 27 (01:41:40):
SAY i am reaching new. Audiences i'm not talking to
my bubble because our content is so. Appealing it goes
in a decentralized.

Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
Way.

Speaker 5 (01:41:48):
Anyway he went on to say, that and you guys
have been in your own little bubble and you've not
been intellectually challenged in thirty.

Speaker 3 (01:41:55):
Years, well this goes back to What STEVEN. A. Smith
this was his nt. Yesterday he had a bunch Of
democrats which he's, won and they're all reading the same.
Script they're not walking out their, narrative they're not allowing
any critical thinking and that's What Charlie kirk is. Saying
it looks Like newsom has. Agreed of, Course i'm With greg.
HERE i think you just don't agree with whatever he
needs to to look more appealing to A charlie Kirk

(01:42:18):
off audience and. Followers But Charlie kirk is, right The
democrats are struggling because even though we still say we
live in a sound bite, society that may be, true
but these long form, podcasts unscripted and long. Form, look
we've all been. There if you've ever been on like
A tv show of the old, DAYS i can't remember

(01:42:39):
how many times that either you, Know bubba AND i were,
on OR i got to go on by, myself Or
bubba got to go and we would always talk about
the same. Thing you walk in, there and there's so
much more you need to say about the point you're
trying to, make and you're not allowed to do. It you,
know they keep you boxed in the whole. Time and
so if all we ever see is, that but see
these long long form unscripted podcast As kirk pointed, out

(01:43:01):
allow people to walk out the narrative completely and make
the entire. Argument and it looks like That democrats know
their ideology is so flawed and. Unappealing that actually doesn't
work for, them because as long as they can stay
in a sound, bite they can make you feel better
about what they actually. Believe if they have to walk
it all the way to its, end it's less. Appealing

(01:43:24):
and if the conservatives walk it all the way out
to the, end you, go wait a, MINUTE i THOUGHT
i was supposed to hate these. People that actually makes
a lot of.

Speaker 5 (01:43:29):
Sense and you, know if somebody speaks in you, know
just parables or not not, parables but just you, know
platitudes and false nothing burger word salads Like i'm doing right.
Now if somebody does that for a, minute you can
kind of be fooled by that and, say, oh, yeah
those empty words made me feel. Good if someone does

(01:43:50):
that for an, hour you, realize wait a, second this
totally lacks any substance or facts at.

Speaker 8 (01:43:55):
All.

Speaker 3 (01:43:56):
YEAH i ACTUALLY i ran into this. YESTERDAY i had
the person who, SAID i tell you what birds you
need to. Repent so you, know people don't know on
the text, option we can actually see your phone. Number
SO i called them AND i, said so tell me
WHAT i need to repent? Of and of course they
didn't take, it and then they started. TEXTING i, said just.

(01:44:16):
EXPLAIN i will agree or disagree with, you but you
can't just SAY i need to repent of, something and
then you can't walk out WHAT i? Did what DID
i do that requires? Repentance and by the TIME i
got to the end of, IT i realized the person
just didn't like a DECISION i made and it wasn't
the decision they, wanted but it wasn't. Immoral, well if

(01:44:37):
you call me to, repentance that Means i've done something immore,
so you've Got if you can't answer the question of
WHAT i need to repent, from then what you just
said was just. Convoluted but, see if you're allowed just
to keep that, phrase then you get away with. It
but if somebody forces you to explain, it then it
all falls. Apart and that's what he's talking. About AND i,

(01:44:59):
LIKE i think the world of podcasts and shows like
this are the only place where we don't just go
you need to do, so you're, bad you're, Mean well
explain Why i'm. BAD i, mean by right, now why
don't you keep biological males from ruining women's sports mercy and.
Grace hold, up what do you mean by? That, yeah
that makes. Sense what about the mercy and grace for
the biological? Females, see now that statement's got. Problems so,

(01:45:24):
anyway all, right so one more, CUT.

Speaker 5 (01:45:25):
I actually have a better one than this listener here
And speedy mentioned how the Reason Charlie kirk was On
Gavin newsom's podcast is Because Gavin newsom's, son WHO'S i believe. Thirteen,
yeah he's actually a fan Of Charlie Kirk. Church Charlie
kirk is doing a great job of reaching. Kids Gavin
newsom is such a little snake by the. Way you
can hear, him you.

Speaker 3 (01:45:45):
CAN i love.

Speaker 5 (01:45:46):
It, YEAH i, agree thank you for saying. That, OH
i appreciate you making that. Point he tries to act
as if What Charlie kirk is saying he wanted him to,
say or that's even his.

Speaker 3 (01:45:54):
Point he's such a snake in the.

Speaker 5 (01:45:55):
Grass, anyways speaking of getting out of his, Bubble Charlie
kirk is Reaching Gavin newsom's, son and they address that
here in this, clip And Charlie kirk has a great
line about.

Speaker 14 (01:46:05):
Schools next, night trying to put my son to, Bed he's, like, no,
DAD i just what? Time what time Is charlie gonna be?

Speaker 3 (01:46:11):
Here what? Time And i'm, like, dude you're in school.
Tomorrow he's.

Speaker 14 (01:46:14):
Thirteen he's, like, no, no this, morning wakes up and sicks.
Up then he's, Like i'm. Coming i'm like he literally
would not leave the. House did you let him take off?

Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
School?

Speaker 14 (01:46:23):
No he, did of course. Not he's not here for
a good. Reason but the point is they canceled.

Speaker 3 (01:46:26):
School for two years once one got one. Day, pot
that's a great.

Speaker 5 (01:46:30):
Line you canceled school for two years one.

Speaker 7 (01:46:34):
Day and Then charlie goes gone to a Bye newsom
son to come to one of his, events And newsom, Says,
Okay i'm in a turning point.

Speaker 3 (01:46:43):
Event, yeah, Oh i'd love.

Speaker 1 (01:46:45):

Speaker 10 (01:50:45):
Ahead, RICK i got a serious. QUESTION i got a
new neighbor moved in and they got flowers on their.
Porch which is kind, of you, know disturbing enough for.
Me but then they put up A pride flag that
has a pentagram with so the serious question here are
we're going to have gay demons in?

Speaker 3 (01:51:04):
Town let me are you are you kidding?

Speaker 10 (01:51:07):
Around, No i'm dead. Serious we got we got this pride.

Speaker 8 (01:51:11):
FLAG i couldn't tell what.

Speaker 10 (01:51:12):
Was on, it but it's got a pentagram with like
the horns and everything on. It the geese in the
neighborhood are getting more aggressive. TOO i Mean i'm putting everything.

Speaker 3 (01:51:21):
Together, wow a neighborhood, there demonic forces have now of
course taken over the bodies of the. Geese. Uh this is,
uh that's you, know that's a little different. Then you,
KNOW i THOUGHT i had problems BECAUSE i had a
neighbor that had The canadian flag. Up that seems like.

Speaker 10 (01:51:36):
NOTHING i, mean straight straight demons are one, thing BUT
i don't know IF i can handle the gay.

Speaker 3 (01:51:41):
Ones remember the demonic, forces they're up for. Anything uh
it is it is a no holds barred. There, wow that's.
Troubling that's very.

Speaker 7 (01:51:52):
Troubling it is texture from uh From. Hattiesburg let me
just say, yes all, right there we. Go he knows
someone in and Being napier's inner circle.

Speaker 3 (01:52:02):
Saying he did not Play old miss said that was.
Wrong another. Thing we'll get bad information a. Second let's
go to Uh let's go to uh We tumka Where
lynn is standing By. Lynn go, ahead.

Speaker 10 (01:52:17):

the other, side and then the, men, well and then
the men are thinking white we over. There AND i Told,
greg you Got clinger with the purple hair sitting over

(01:52:40):
there with The.

Speaker 12 (01:52:41):
DEMOCRATS i know the.

Speaker 3 (01:52:42):
Boy she looked. Good, yeah she looked.

Speaker 12 (01:52:44):
Great.

Speaker 3 (01:52:44):
Lynn it sounds like you're. Mad she getting an aunty okayt.
Fight let's go To Wendy, Mobile, alabama who's calling the
show from every one Knows. Wendy welcome to the. Show go. Ahead.

Speaker 12 (01:53:06):
YEAH i was wondering why all protests shouldn't follow the
same rules and regulations that h pro birth life. People
they have to stay so, much so many feet, away
they can't speak to. Anyone you, Know it's not like
that every end of the protest and just take over
and bully. People AND i to do, that.

Speaker 3 (01:53:26):
Outsider, yeah we're supposed to be peaceful protests no matter
what you're, protesting and you can't have a different set
of rules based on the. Topic you are, Correct BUT
i think what you're noticing, there it's all what city you're,
in you, know what's the government set up? There and
what do you have to? Say it does seem that
it's not all even. Handed it sometimes. Sometimes jason out

(01:53:49):
Of Phil, Campbell, jason go, Ahead.

Speaker 8 (01:53:52):
Good, morning.

Speaker 3 (01:53:52):
Guys how are y'all doing? Great doing? Good, No, HEY

Speedy do you ever refer To hoby As hobi Wan? Kenobi?

Speaker 7 (01:54:09):
Uh that's, Good, yeah that's really. Good he was very
he was very entertained by the segment, yesterday which means
you talked to, him of.

Speaker 3 (01:54:16):
Course.

Speaker 7 (01:54:17):
Yeah we did a little bit better, yesterday and we
have we have conversations between. SETS i, mean you, know
we talked about, life.

Speaker 3 (01:54:24):
Any other any other earth breaking discoveries From.

Speaker 7 (01:54:27):
Hobi there is one thing Ob i'm researching he's doing
for hydration.

Speaker 3 (01:54:31):
Here we talked To adler about.

Speaker 5 (01:54:33):

and this is big. Speedy you've been waiting on, this
everybody who it's been talked about for as long As
i've been alive and the long as there's been, highways
the people in the left lane who drive, slow trying
to understand. Them we have a. Breakthrough you're not gonna
like the RESULT i had The all two premiere. Experience

(02:08:38):
this comes From scott behind a left lane slow. Driver
they would not get. Over. Uh he gathered all the
intensity of my rage like a magnifying glass focusing the
sun on an ant. HILL i was burning him in my.
Mind it just so happened THAT i had to get
off and get, gas and surprisingly he did. Too now

(02:08:59):
they're both at pumps facing each. Other that's so, awkward
and here here we. Go how COULD i not pass
up this? Opportunity, man we've been waiting on. It oh you,
DID i started the. GASOLINE i walked over to, him
still little. MAD i had to ask on behalf of
all of, us SO i, did at least for this

(02:09:23):
left lane. Driver he explained to me that he liked
the left lane because it did not have as much
road wear and tear with potholes and patchy, jobs so
he just stays in the left. LANE i explained to
him that that's not the, law and that's that it's
unsafe for folks like him to pass on the right.
Side he said he would rather stay in the left

(02:09:44):
lane BECAUSE i have a wife and children to, support
and BECAUSE i have high level security. CLEARANCE i refrained
from then punching him in the. Face MART i walked
back to my, car still. Mad have it? Men not, fulfilling,
certainly not a, resolution but at least some insight that

(02:10:06):
some just do it because that's just what they want to.
Do got, THAT i, SAID i like the left lane too,
bad not as.

Speaker 7 (02:10:14):
Bumpy well get over for ten, seconds let somebody buy,
it and then get right back.

Speaker 3 (02:10:18):
Up Easy tiger you can't say. THAT i know you see, us,
right you yelled as enough people the other way you
Have hey, Bird Hey, Birge Hey. keV how you, doing.
Buddy i'm beginning to wonder If adler really does have a.
Wife oh, Wow we've all. Wondered is it possible he's
adopted these two, children because all we ever hear IS

(02:10:40):
i changed five pooby. DIPPERS i got up two times
during the night to take care of the. KIDS i
took the kids to watch the neighbor's t ball. GAME
i cooked, SUPPER i cleaned the. House you read, This
is that a letter From? Adler that's? Funny? Okay and
he says in this he, said either she's not real
or she certainly doesn't listen to the.

Speaker 5 (02:10:59):
Show, okay all, right let me let me.

Speaker 3 (02:11:04):
You NOTICE i actually DON'T i got. Price you can't
BE i bought a.

Speaker 5 (02:11:09):
Van you NOTICE i don't complain about unless it's like
a special situation with the dogs Where i'm cleaning up
pee and poop Because franklin pete on my jiu jitsu
mats right WHERE i do push ups with my, face,
RIGHT i do complain about, that BUT i don't complain
you NOTICE i don't complain about. Vacuuming you NOTICE i
don't complain about really cleaning the house at all except
the kitchen that that's my. Area aaron gets the entire

(02:11:31):
rest of the. HOUSE i don't complain about. Laundry my point,
is there is a ton THAT i do. Do AND
i just said do doo on. Accident, okay that's. Funny
let's all laugh at. That, OKAY i just said there
is a lot THAT i do do THAT i also.

Speaker 3 (02:11:53):
Do there's an awful lot THAT i do.

Speaker 5 (02:11:54):
Handle, yes but my wife does a ton TO i
don't want it to seem like you. Do try to
BE i don't want to see that there is a
lot THAT i choose to do because number, One i'm
not around in the. Mornings aaron gets herself and both
kids to. School then she goes to. School then she
she works all day and she has every hour there's

(02:12:16):
twenty to thirty new kids in a classroom that she
has to. Entertain essentially a school. Teacher she's a, teacher,
yes and so that with that being, SAID i try
to pick up every single day from school THAT i,
can BECAUSE i never take them. In and THEN i
try to be so hands on in the, afternoons because,
guys you get ten. YEARS i can be tired and
worn out for ten years of my life because that's

(02:12:38):
all you get with these, kids and you guys talk
about all the. Time it goes so so, quick And
i'm trying to be as hands on AS i possibly
can and be the best dad THAT i possibly can't not,
Great i'm not a great, dad But i'm getting.

Speaker 3 (02:12:50):
Better you don't be too tough on. Yourself thank. You
you're a good. Dad hoby, says you're about a. Seven.

Speaker 5 (02:12:55):
Yeah, Sure And hoby says, it and it's the. Trick
so that's. Why, Then also the nighttime, STUFF i am
a much lighter sleeper than many than my. Wife i'm
a much much lighter sleeper than my. Wife so When
ruby comes down the hall and she gets to our,
DOORWAY i am awake. Already also being the, man my

(02:13:16):
spot in the bed is closer to the. DOOR i
don't know if you guys do. THAT i do that
at hotels.

Speaker 8 (02:13:20):
And at our.

Speaker 5 (02:13:21):
House Just i'm a. Paranoid i'm, weird, like.

Speaker 3 (02:13:23):
Okay, soe my bed WHERE i sleep is actually closer
to the. Gun but go. Ahead it's also close to the.

Speaker 5 (02:13:28):
Gun WHERE i sleep is much closer.

Speaker 3 (02:13:30):
To the gun.

Speaker 5 (02:13:31):
Too all of that plays into. It all of that
plays into, it AND i please, UNDERSTAND i barely know
my kids teachers. Names, okay my wife takes care of
all that. STUFF i don't know when picture day. IS
i don't buy any. Clothes i've never bought clothes for
my kids, Ever so please. Understand, YES i do a.
TON i change, DIAPERS i feed the, KIDS i cook

(02:13:51):
dinner every. Night but that's. Honestly that gives me forty
five minutes of me. Time, frankly it's Frank LYNN i don't.
Like but, ANYWAYS i just wanted to clear clarify that
a little. Bit, YES i do a, ton but you,
know so does my.

Speaker 3 (02:14:05):
Wife AND i love.

Speaker 5 (02:14:06):
Her i'm so thankful for. HER i wish you would
help with the dishes a little bit. More but besides,
that besides you, great you just, Saying, Hey i'm on the,
show But i'm telling you about the bat because we're

And i'm in your way because you're wanting to, Speed
i'm not a factor and you are. Incorrect you are.
Incorrect in most, states including our, state if not, all
should have. This it's actually against the law to stay

(02:15:48):
in the left lane and not get. Over you can,
pass but there's a certain amount of time by law
you're supposed to get. Over so, no you are a,
factor and you are breaking the law in most. States
so if you're in one of those states like, ours

(02:17:58):
did this. ALREADY i thought we did it. Wasn't but
you got on you tippy toes.

Speaker 5 (02:18:03):
Controversy you angled down no?

Speaker 3 (02:18:06):
Hair what was the final word on? This five?

Speaker 30 (02:18:09):
Two?

Speaker 3 (02:18:12):
Y'all y'all? Happy you feel?

Speaker 5 (02:18:13):
Good you feel good about?

Speaker 31 (02:18:15):
What it?

Speaker 3 (02:18:16):
Was five to four a point. Something it wasn't five to,
four my, Goodness, no, no straight, up it was five.
Five you don't.

Speaker 5 (02:18:23):
Remember you just said we were gonna do it right.
Now if we had never done, it let's do it.

Speaker 3 (02:18:27):
Again you know WHAT i remember BECAUSE i was the
butt of the, Joke, okay, right the butt by the,
WAY i just look at speedy cell. Phone hobe says
five to. Six, yeah.

Speaker 7 (02:18:41):
Now i'm, HERE I i'm coming.

Speaker 5 (02:18:43):
In we're not doing, next hey, bird, baby let's.

Speaker 3 (02:18:47):
Go here's when someone, says y'all were giving the things
that people want you to stop doing on your smartphone
because of identity. Theft speaking on behalf of all nine
one one, dispatchers careful on this location. Thing if y'all
turn that. Off you wouldn't believe how many times we
save people's lives and found them when they were unconscious

(02:19:08):
because we could follow the location on their. Phone that's good.

Speaker 5 (02:19:10):
Point, yeah AND i actually was looking at. That you
guys taught me some stuff. Technologically but THEN i remember
you can actually go in and when it comes to location,
services you can go app by.

Speaker 3 (02:19:21):
App you see What i'm.

Speaker 5 (02:19:23):
Saying so it's like this app never never allows this
app When i'm using, it so you don't have to
totally turn off all location.

Speaker 3 (02:19:30):
Services, okay looking at this is really a bone of
contention with the. Audience, hey birch a, birge what's, Up?
Joshua do people know that they're being a bip when
they call in and keep doing this pity spin for the.
Wheel if your comment is good enough to get a,
spin then let the guys decide.

Speaker 13 (02:19:47):
It.

Speaker 3 (02:19:48):
Period if you need a thousand dollars because your puppy
died and you had some flat, tire get a. Job my,
goodness all. CAPS i got one and a couple of side.
Hustles life's, hard be top and that like a stinking. Adult,
oh by the, way CAN i Spend WHEN i first
Saw WHEN i first saw, THIS i, thought my, GOODNESS

(02:20:09):
i didn't Know dad could email from heaving. It, yeah
that sound a lot like. It it really. Did, basically they're,
saying you, know handle your, stuff work it, out mad about.
It let the guys decide if somebody is worthy of
a spin or. Not don't beg for. It, okay we,
Continue hey, Bird hey, Bird well this is not a

(02:20:30):
good time to. Fall, well this isn't so. Bad have
you guys ever offered a guest spot on the show
as a prize to a? LISTENER i know this would
be hotly. Risky, yes, yes We've we've taken some risk,
yeah uh and have lived to regret. It and y'all
know the Ones i'm talking, about especially the big. One, yes,

(02:20:52):
yeah just one or two segments When i'm talking about
staying on hosting the whost. Show, uh maybe just you,
guys you, know talking with them and they get to
be part of the. Show it would be one of
the greatest days of my. Life AND i Know i'm
not the only one that feels this. Way, gerald thank.
YOU i, mean, well let me tell you what we.

(02:21:13):
Did let me what that, Was Jerald, Kates i'd, say, yes, yes,
well let me say, this it's kind of the way
that people. Feel and do you see the EMAIL i
sent you? Yesterday you, know people have asked us when
will y'all consider interns coming? Back and really we we we're.
Not we're not closing the door on. That look, great

(02:21:35):
changing the email, now but uh but, yeah but there's
a there's you know there there doesn't seem to be
as many. Opportunities but, also And i've had heard people say,
this and you're, right and you're, Right, hey the intern
situation sometimes produces, gold and it has in the, past
and you're. Right but the thing that to.

Speaker 4 (02:21:54):
Point us out hope he is a former, intern by the,
Way well that's Not, joe that's on.

Speaker 3 (02:21:58):
ME i walk right into. That so, so but What
i'm saying IS i want some of you to think
about ideas like. This it's like panning for. Gold, okay
most of the time when you pull up that little
those little holes and pans the, pen it's nine times

(02:22:19):
out of, tens it's. Rocks, okay every now and then
a gold nugget is in that. Pan thus are these
ideas for every intern that was solid, gold there were
lots of, pebbles and lots of rocks that didn't bring
anything to. Say, okay so you're you, know there's a
lot of miss looking for that. Hit and SO i

(02:22:41):
would think doing that for every random person who got
to do two segments with us that turned out to be,
great there's gonna be a lot of missus and, really,
right you're just from the entertainment to most of them
doing the job did, fine but oh, No i'm not
talking about their. Job the job they did off their
THEY i don't think we had many duds at, all
but not everybody equaled radio ghos on the. Air And

(02:23:05):
i'll tell you the ones who usually were the most
disappointing were the ones who got here and you realize
this was the only motivation they had for being. Here
those rarely ever worked. Out the ones who were great
that didn't come here for, That they really just came
here to work and they just ended up being solid.
Gold you, know because we always tell sometimes you can
tell pretty, quick all, right somebody wants this internship because
they think they're gonna be a radio, star and they

(02:23:27):
and they almost they almost try to get airtime from.
You those are those rarely work. Out it's the unassuming
ones that we reluctantly pulled to the mic that usually
work out and uh and so the same. Thing BUT
i will say, this we're almost do in a version
of it now with our new our new thing with
the vox, seats and we're experimenting a, lot a lot
of you love the changes that we made to the.
Wheel those have all been positive burgess balls doing. Well

(02:23:49):
and we started a panning for, gold looking for interesting
conversations that everybody in here today that got a vox
seat will actually get to do what you're talking. About
that they'll just be one one. Segment they'll all, share
but they will get a chance to come to the
mic and it's visit with him a minute and let
them kind of co host for a. Minute so they do.
That that's we are doing that already to a. Degree

(02:24:11):
and how about the in terms that were solid? Gold
and then they they we never hear from him, Again
like Where's bruiser right? NOW i don't know now That?
Bruiser could you?

Speaker 8 (02:24:19):
Not ra was a?

Speaker 3 (02:24:20):
Superstar, yeah and then he was. Gone and in all
fairness and all, FAIRNESS i think Because bruiser Was greg
the genuine article he, was which he. Wasn't you're not
looking for a character for the genuine. Article he was
the genuine. Article BUT i honestly think and we had
a couple of situations like. THIS i think his mama

(02:24:42):
thought we were a bad influence on. Him, YEAH i,
know early she, did and she was, right and she was.
Right WE i thought we Helped bruiser be. Bolder but
in times maybe two both maybe, well we tried to
help him in a few things she probably wished we wouldn't.
Try And bruiser was not as the World i'm looking, for,
worldly not real. Savvy, uh he never. Did he never

(02:25:07):
driven on the. Interstate so sometimes we would pull him
into some areas that he probably wasn't ready to be before.
Yet yeah, problem but what's he? Gold you better believe
you Absolutely we'll be. Back thanks for the hayburg. Emails
keep him.

Speaker 2 (02:25:20):

packed show. Today but we're not. Done it's time for.
Ye it's time for us to see who in the box.
Seats we'll go to The burgess Small, battle trying to
earn an opportunity to go over to The wheel of,

(02:45:39):
Bundles bits and bucks and possibly leave this place today
with a thousand dollars five hundred, dollars or maybe disappointed
to no. End Uh, so here's who will be. Playing
look at those. Numbers WHEN i call your, name make

(02:46:01):
your way to the, Arena Joel. Miller e're. Up Joel
miller's making his, way and you will do battle With Angela,
Thornton Angela. Thornton there we, go they make their way.

(02:46:22):
Over the one who scores the most points in thirty
seconds gets a date with the. Wheel remember at the
last ten seconds will be three, pointers and so. Speedy
whenever they're, ready let the magic. Begin all, right let's see,

(02:46:44):
here all, right here we. Go he's gotten ready to,
go and they're, off and there.

Speaker 2 (02:46:51):
They, go and there they.

Speaker 3 (02:46:52):
Go joel is out to. That oh look at, This angela's.
Closing it's four to six to, two eight to. Two
come on, In, jela it's now. Eights that one did
not count, eight ten to, four ten to fifteen to,
seven eighteen to, ten twenty one to, ten twenty, one,

(02:47:15):
thirteen twenty one to go, ahead angel the three pointers
now wo and there it, is and our winner Is Joel.
Miller Joel miller won a fairren Square, angela it didn't
score you one. BASKET i was even gonna give you
that one if it would have, mattered but it didn't.
Matter so, okay there you.

Speaker 5 (02:47:35):
Go it just took her a while to make. One
that actually was saying player, two not two, Points so it.
Did it did not not count.

Speaker 3 (02:47:41):
One, yeah that's. RIGHT i was gonna give her that,
one but it wouldn't have. Mattered joel scored so many.
POINTS i was even gonna give you three, points but
it wouldn't. Matter, Joel joel Was it was a. Blowout.
Angela you, played you played. HARD i think you let
the moment get to you a little. BIT i think
if you had settled down just a, minute you were
a little.

Speaker 8 (02:48:00):
Bit.

Speaker 3 (02:48:00):
YEAH i think the moment was too much for you
for the world's biggest. Stage it's the world's biggest, stage
millions of people, listening cheering for, you. Hoping but Now
adler will get forty on. Air that's. Right. Yeah the
good news, Is, angela we still have. Cornbread, ah, Okay
so all, Right joel fudgs. Too it's destiny. Body there's

(02:48:20):
that will and there you. Are you've earned, it fair and.
Square there's money on that. Will, yep three opportunities at,
it big. Time rush the. Accountant he's feeling good about
our cash flow right. Now he's ready to just let it.
Rip you're kind of a tough. Position you win a thousand,
dollars it feels, good but then you get A w
nine if you if you go over here to five,

(02:48:41):
hundred the government never knows you're walking. Away and that's
between you and The Lord Jesus. Christ, Okay so so
it is time now For joel to go to the. Will,
joel what you must say and if you don't say,
it Then angela gets to. Spend you must say it's
will to me and then give that baby a spin like.

(02:49:02):

are you up to the? Mincment we talked about this
in the? Break all? Right so where are you?

Speaker 35 (02:54:42):
From we're From Berry, mountain which is blunts Fill.

Speaker 3 (02:54:45):
Alabama Bluntswa. Alabama so what what's? Uh what is your?
History were you back in The rick And bubba? Days
you've been listening a long? Time, YES.

Speaker 35 (02:54:55):
I would SAY i really picked to you guys up
WHEN i become a stay at home mom in twenty. Eighteen,
anyway SO i became listening to you all the. Time
so AND i enjoyed you so. Much you guys were
like my outlet for, news SO i could go to
my husband AND i have opinions that you guys would bring.

Speaker 31 (02:55:13):
Up so it's.

Speaker 35 (02:55:13):
Fantastic, yet but Then jimmy changed, jobs and so he's
able to listen To jimmy.

Speaker 3 (02:55:19):
Change jobs AND i don't. Care jimmy change jobs AND
i don't.

Speaker 35 (02:55:23):
Care so then he started listening, more which totally took
away my ability to bring forth new.

Speaker 3 (02:55:29):
Information oh did it make it less special because you
didn't have information to? Share he's, like y'all heard.

Speaker 35 (02:55:33):
That by the, Way, yeah, okay, anyway but that's is
what it. Is so, anyway so now we listen all the,
time and both of, US i, mean we just we
love you.

Speaker 3 (02:55:43):
Guys, well thank you very, much thank you very Mund
thanks for continuing on with the with what we're doing.
Now that's. Great, jimmy you're. Good, Great, okay thank you.
MAN i hope you've enjoyed yourself here. Today AND i.

Speaker 35 (02:55:53):
Didn't want to have something about your. AUDIOBOOK i listened
to them all the, time, Okay and so one THING
i loved About sherry's book was that she she told it, herself,
obviously but then when there were parts where she was
singing a song To, barnard she was singing and then
speaking about the, funeral she just let your voice play
even though it was like written in the.

Speaker 3 (02:56:13):
Book.

Speaker 35 (02:56:14):
Uh and that was something that's very. Unique and as
a listener it means a. Lot SO i don't know
if there's anything that even if you have, clips if
you're if you're talking about something that your dad did
and then you have a clip from that time and
you can play it at the end of the, chapter
that would be something really cool that you could.

Speaker 3 (02:56:28):
Add, yeah a lot of you that you bring a good.
Point it's Reading sherry's book is of course an, experience
but listening to, it you, know like you, said you
actually know her her tale in the story she does
that is a. Writer and so if you've even if
you've read, it if you've never gone to audible and
listened To sherry read it to you or tell you

(02:56:49):
the story in her own voice and do the singing
and hear the actual memorial memorial, service that is a
bonus new experience in The in the, audiobook that's a good.

Speaker 35 (02:56:57):
Point so it is as a mom that her reading
her book actually changed my perspective of. Parenting AND i
mean it greatly impacted the way THAT i see my
kids and THAT i get to raise them instead of
you're stuck or you're doing it every single. Day and
SO i just, ANYWAY i appreciate what you guys are,
doing BUT i really appreciate her as a mother writing that.
Book and so any MOM i encouraged to read that,

(02:57:21):
book but if they want to skip chapter, three they.

Speaker 3 (02:57:23):
Can't it's tough.

Speaker 35 (02:57:24):
And everything, ELSE i, mean because you can apply every
bit of it to your.

Speaker 3 (02:57:26):
Life, No i've actually had that experience WHERE i was like.
ENCOUNTERING i could tell a young brother who had young,
children and they, admitted they, Said i'm just a little
bit afraid of the. Book And i'll, say, well if
you want, to you still get a lot out of.
It you can skip chapter, three which is the retelling
of that, horrible horrible, night and you still get so
much out of all the rest of. It, now at

(02:57:48):
some points you need to go into chapter three to
get the full, really but don't be afraid of.

Speaker 35 (02:57:52):
It AND i tell people that it is especially for spiritual,
growth the understanding of where you, are because there's a
difference of just walking or claiming to be A. Christian
and then when you go through a situation like that
and understanding the intimacy that you can have With christ
and What he's doing in that moment truly impacts. You
but hearing it from someone that's gone through, it it

(02:58:13):
really gives you a different, perspective especially if you're on
the outside of it and you don't know. Right SO
i just, ANYWAY i highly recommend it for all parents
BECAUSE i do think it will make life.

Speaker 3 (02:58:23):
Better did she wouldn't even get me on the Mind
and if we don't, pressure we don't get that nugget.
RECORD i.

Speaker 7 (02:58:29):
WISH i would like to, ask do you tell people
you listen to the book or read the?

Speaker 1 (02:58:32):
Book SO i have?

Speaker 3 (02:58:34):
Dyslins? Yeah uh.

Speaker 7 (02:58:35):
HUH i hope you feel BECAUSE i was going off
your baby brother because the other you said. That he
doesn't think people can say they read a book if
they listened to.

Speaker 3 (02:58:44):
It, well they didn't read if they listened to. It
i'm sorry he's talking down to you like. THAT i
argue with that BECAUSE i have.

Speaker 35 (02:58:49):
DYSSY i hate reading just by, myself and SO i
actually comprehend it better WHEN i listen As i'm, reading
and SO i do that with a lot of. Books,
however on the flip side of, That jimmy may tell
YOU i have an hour to work every, day so
he listens to a book or The bible studies or,
whatever which is way better than like he didn't have time.

Speaker 16 (02:59:07):
To, read OR i get, Frustrated why are you reading?

Speaker 3 (02:59:09):
Book would you sho be hanging out with?

Speaker 5 (02:59:10):
Us?

Speaker 3 (02:59:11):
Yeah, well And, greg, HONESTLY i think if audiobooks have
been more readily, available we might have done better in.
School that's. True, yeah so. Appreciate how about? Patients? Patients
her podcast is coming to all, right so Next angela
AND J. T. Thornton All, Right angela coming, off you're
not coming back after The Los angeles angel you played,

(02:59:34):
Hard you played, hard you had The burgess ball. BATTLE i,
mean some people say that we have men competing against
women or what are we? Democrats? Now so now just
look it's it's this is a fair there's no real
advantage still by logical mal we're not asking people to
wrestle for the week, Now we're not true all, Right so,
uh SO.

Speaker 36 (02:59:53):
Jt, YEAH i just wanted to comment and say thanks
uh for.

Speaker 2 (02:59:58):
Everything you've done over the.

Speaker 36 (02:59:59):
Years WHEN i was like thirteen fourteen years, OLD i
was flipping through the radio. Stations one, MORNING i came
Across Rick burgess in the morning ex. Traffigans oh, wow
whoa that?

Speaker 3 (03:00:13):
Guy no wonder you believe In jesus?

Speaker 36 (03:00:15):
Now BUT i, Saw, man the blessing for me is
watching your faith, TRANSFER i mean and following kind of
along with. It because we moved, away we went To,
nashville AND i was sad for a little, while and
then all of a, SUDDEN i was slipping through the
channels one day AND i was.

Speaker 3 (03:00:32):
Like rick's on THE rix on their.

Speaker 36 (03:00:37):
Listening again while we were In, nashville and then we
moved back To gnars AND i just kind of followed
along all the. Way but watching your transformation has been.
Huge and SEE i Accepted, christ and let's, SEE i
was twenty twenty seven years, old and.

Speaker 3 (03:00:57):
Man just JUST.

Speaker 36 (03:01:03):
I go back to The father's heart over and over,
man and it's an encouragement to. Me SO i appreciate,
you AND i appreciate you and how you share your
faith on, air and thank you and you and you're
bold and, WELL i think we thank you for, that
BUT i think You're what you're saying is.

Speaker 3 (03:01:19):
Right it's the. Transformation i'm kind of to the point,
now AND i know for some people it turns them.
Off they don't like that part of the. Show but
it's kind to the point. Now like we've said, before
that we all pretty much talk about what we really care.
About you can't stop. It it's gonna come out. Anyway
so even IF i came back tomorrow because of the

(03:01:40):
power Of, jesus not anything to do with, me but
the power Of, jesus IF i Said, MONDAY i go
back To. Jeremiah When jeremiah, SAYS i don't even want
to talk about, YOU i do not want to talk about.
You every TIME i talk about, you it doesn't do
anything but cause me. Trouble every TIME i bring you,
up they put me in, jail they try to stone.
Me you you really are bringing Me jeremiah talking nothing but.

(03:02:00):
Trouble SO i don't want to speak of you. Anymore
but there is a fire that burns up in my
bones AND i can't help. IT i still talk about,
you even WHEN i don't want. To so even IF
i were to say to some, consultant all, Right i'll
stop with all The jesus Stuff, monday there's no stopping
because because it's it's, him he's too powerful for it to.

(03:02:23):
STOP i don't believe that people can cannot talk About
jesus if they've truly been transformed by them by him about,
him because if you think about, IT i, MEAN i
can't shut up about a restaurant THAT i had a
good experience, at you, know so how and that's the
reason why you Hear jesus, Say matthew, ten if people
want to acknowledge me before, mankind Then i'm not going

(03:02:45):
to acknowledge you before The. FATHER i really have been
LEARNING jt on. That just like RECENTLY i went back and,
said why Does jesus saying that we're not told that
we're redeemed by Acknowledging jesus? Publicly why would he say
that that's that we are redeemed by, faith that right
and grace? Alone so what does he mean by? That
and you just hit on. It he's, like if people

(03:03:06):
aren't talking about, me they don't know, me they've never
had an experience with, me because if they, had they'd
be proclaiming me, everywhere just like they do everything else they.
Love so, yeah so thank you for. That but, again
like you, said it's just evidence of. Him, yeah it's
not really even a decision by. Me, yeah so so thank.

(03:03:26):
You that's very. ENCOURAGING i appreciate that very.

Speaker 9 (03:03:28):
MUCH.

Speaker 3 (03:03:28):
Jt AND i got something for you today. Too for,
That i'll give you. That i'm going to give the
guys and the ladies if you want it here in the.
Studio today's a, gift aren't we come. Back we still

Boysober

Have you ever wondered what life might be like if you stopped worrying about being wanted, and focused on understanding what you actually want? That was the question Hope Woodard asked herself after a string of situationships inspired her to take a break from sex and dating. She went "boysober," a personal concept that sparked a global movement among women looking to prioritize themselves over men. Now, Hope is looking to expand the ways we explore our relationship to relationships. Taking a bold, unfiltered look into modern love, romance, and self-discovery, Boysober will dive into messy stories about dating, sex, love, friendship, and breaking generational patterns—all with humor, vulnerability, and a fresh perspective.
