the hey, can you come back in a couple of
lines here, a couple of lines there, We want you
to say it again. No, I think, well probably, but
but I you know, I caught some stuff while reading
it that I think the editors need to we do
on the print editing, on the on the hard copies
coming out. Well, like I said that some of this,

I think the editors are changing because they don't know
our lingo. And I'm like, now, that's the way the
story was, and that's the way we said it, and
it needs to stay that way.

Yeah, kind of like when we used to order The
Bachelor and they're trying to correct that.

Exactly what a good example. That's a really good example.
That's the way we want it. Yeah, and we even
have a liner for it. You know, like one of
the English teachers that I had throughout my public school
run who who had said good luck to me finding
a job that would pay me to sit around and
make wisecracks, And and when I saw her and said,

have you ever listened to the show? And you know,
she remember the story? She said it made her want
to run her car off the road. And then she said,
please don't tell anyone I taught you English. Please what
do not tie my name to your grammar. So, but
some of this is the way we talks as folks
in our culture, and some of that I've had to
stand up for. Yeah and so. And one time there

was even a quote in there from Dad that they
tried to change the quote, and I'm like, you know
the quotes, this is how he said it. You got
to leave it like that. Yeah, it may not be grammatic,
it may be right. So I had to get her
in fight a little bit. Well, well that's good, but
it's it's a weird process.

forty five minutes sooner. I mean, you're not bagging, not
trying to brag. There were a couple, there were two
on Friday and Monday. You know, one of you one
of the things. It's so easy. It's like a coach.
Remember the coach sometimes would say he would have something
like in the rarest of occasion, his wife or his

kids had something going on, and he would announce, I'm
cutting practice short today, as if we would protest. And
I had that on Friday. The producer, right engineer, whoever's
in there with me, Lane who said, he said, look,
I'm just gonna throw this up and whatever. I'm good
either way. I wouldn't I wouldn't mind us not going

to four, maybe going to three. And I said, sold, Sold,
And we had a pace we were trying to keep,
and we'd achieved the pace. He said, now we can
go ahead and get ahead, or we could knock off
an hour early. And I said, sold knocking off an
hour early. So we didn't even need all the time
that day. And then he and I both were very

(04:46):
pleased that we were scheduled for four yesterday and we
were finishing to forty five, not trying to brag. Just
what Rick Got's an hour in fifteen minutes an hour,
So there it is, but still so still that's a record.
I think the Nashville not that everything we do as
a competition. The Nashville producer slash engineer. I know the
first day he came on and was like, hey, he's

a pro. Let him have it? Has he come back on?
Haven't heard from him? That's the one Greg's talking about.
When they get involved, that's when I'll get to go back,
of course. But that's all right, going back and doing
little punches here and there, like yesterday, Greg, you know
or was it is it yesterday? Yeah? I need you
to come cut one line. That's that's nothing. This is
this happened to come back and cut one line? Do
one thing. It's nothing like sitting here and as when

you're holding a big old book and everybody saying read it.
A little controversy yesterday about study questions. Okay, there's study
questions at the end of the book that apply to
each chapter. And the big taught was in an audiobook.
Do you read the questions? I mean, what did somebody
pause it and then or here's a shocker I'm sure
you said no, Like truckers in their trucks start answering

the questions out loud. I want they're listening to it.
So but they then came, which was probably wisdom, record
them and then if we don't use them. But what
we can't have is we need them recorded, and you
didn't record them. So every time I read those questions,
I think to myself, can I ever get this time?
About wasting time? Would they use these? So?

I found a few things in here need to be changed, well,
like some of them, like the way the sentence was.
I'm like, there's no way I said this. I didn't.
I didn't, I didn't write this. Did somebody change this?
One of them was this Greg like it was talking
about football and the collision part of football, and the
line was some people thrive in it. Most of us

just tolerted and then others about it, and I was
like it or can about it? That was it? And
I was like, abid it. You've used that. You don't
even know what it means. But I know that means
to make a decision to remain to stay. But the
Senate shouldn't be abid it.

It should life right. Well, it's in John fifteen. It's
some time I used it. You're talking about how you
did like contact. Well, what it was talking about is
if you're going to play this game. It's the story
about the track Star rememb It's the story about the

of football, there's all kinds of aspects of it that
athletes can handle. But what usually decides whether you can
play this game or not is you have to be
able to either thrive in the contact, tolerate the contact.
And and then there's there's that third group that cannot

handle the contact of it. No, there's so much of it.
They can't handle all the collisions. That part of the
game they can't handle, so that game doesn't work for them.
Even though they're big, strong, fast. The contact. They that's
because that separates you back when we used to have contact.
Uh and and so I was making that point and
they threw in there the third people. But some can't

abide it. And even if you said abide in it,
I could, Okay, well that makes sense, or some can't,
you know, they can't accept it that. I was like,
this sentence, how about how about abide it that that
that's I don't even think that's a correct sentence. So
so anyway, but I said that.

I got bad news for I got bad news for
everybody involved on the audio version is the way I
want it. Well, it is your book. I would even
just edit it on the fly. Now they need to
go back and get the print done because you may
read something different than what I read.

blessed or hard, there's so many. It was a weird experience,

on social media about this, some of you are ay

texting about this. And the answer is yes, we are
aware of it. As a matter of fact, we've known
this for a while. And this is the David Pollock announcement.
So David Pollock has now publicly come out. This is
something that that we already did know because David Pollock
had told us this privately. Uh, and we have already

been with his family and uh and and praying about
this is that sadly his wife has been diagnosed with
brain cancer uh and is going to be undergoing brain surgery. Uh.
And so yes, I've talked with David. We've had a
conversation about it and actually did weeks ago. Uh. And
we have been praying with the family already. So so

(11:31):
thanks thanks for making sure that we did know, and
yes we did. So it's wish we wish we had
different news, wish this wasn't the case, but it is.
But he he of course is a strong man of
faith and is growing in his faith, and conversations with
him were upbeat and positive. He certainly understands that he

(11:52):
serves as sovereign God who can do miraculous things. And
there's been examples of people who have come through this
and gotten to the other side. And you know, may
God's will be done. But we are all joining him
and his family praying for her to make a full
recok So and so be praying for all of those
that we'll be doing. And isn't it an incredible that

(12:16):
we live in a time where there are these people
that are so gifted and it really does it's no
pun intended. It blows your mind to think that there
are people that go to work every day that work
on the human brain and go in and do these
meticulous type of surgeries and remove stuff like this. And

(12:36):
I mean, I have an example of it in the
Wednesday Bible study. And a friend of mine that I've
known for a long time. Our sons went to school together,
graduated together, and you know, he has come through this
exact deal and even at his latest checkup was still
cancer free and is a walking, talking miracle. So anyway,

(12:56):
so we know that you know, ultimately God will be done.
But yes, so continue to pray for that. And thanks
for making sure that we're aware of that.

Yeah, that goes back to the saying that it's the
best of from many years ago when you were ready
to get together and you were talking to men about
what they do yep, and pretty impactful jobs surgeon, things
like that, and then you said, well, I play on
the radio.

Yeah, it's just yeah, it makes us look. You know,
I can make my voice sound like helium even though
I haven't be held in the helium balloon versus you know,
versus I use robotic arms to remove tumors from people's brains. Yeah,
a little different, it is. But we all have our
role though, Yeah, we all have our role. Yeah I do.

Elon Musk. So we have a little issue there, Ye,
little issue, Elon Musk. The left right now, when you

you look at how they're they do not do y'all.
Remember when they were pro Elon Musk when he was
Remember when they were pro Bobby Kennedy, Right, do you
remember when they were pro Tulca Gabbert. Well, but those
all these people have made the ultimate mistake and committed
the ultimate liberal sin. Is they're not getting in line

and reading all the cards and getting on the same page.
And they've had that, They've they've made the mistake of
disagreeing with the left.

But let me tell you you you do that and
then suddenly these wonderful, all caring, all loving people, Why
can't we all just be ourselves?

do you realize that yesterday I will get to the
X thing. I was watching and I was just shaking
my head. There was a time when the left was
all but making us all go to electric cars. And
if we didn't go to electric cars, we hated the

earth somewhere. We hated people, we hated kittens, we hated puffies,
we hated it, we hated everybody, everybody because we were
mean and we were at a combustion engine and end
of the world. And Elon Musk has made more advancements
on developing electric automobiles that people will actually desire and drive,

but now they are protesting him. We'll get to the
X thing. But that saw this yesterday. Y'all saw it
by tearing up his dealerships. We even have leftist shooting
bullets into Tesla dealerships. Can I ask some of you
in the media, Can I just ask all of you

(15:51):
out there that liked the show, but you think we're
loons when it comes to our political views or maybe
even our spiritual views. But you dig the comedy party,
and I want to do more, like I said, comedy
than anything. But there's there's certain questions that this job
before us to get to ask y'all don't want to
be associated with these people, do you? I mean y'all

are with us that these people that this is not
America for for for someone to say, I don't like
that you're exposing government waste, and I don't like that
you're part of an administration that I didn't vote for.
So even though you were developing electric automobiles that at
one time I said, we're going to save the planet,
but now you you're with a political ideology that I

disagree with. So I'm gonna come shoot into all your
dealerships and try to kill people or burn them down
or break their windows. You're, y'all not for that? Are
you that that's that's not that's not America. That that's
not that's not America. So anyway, so also he's taken
over X so people can actually, you know, voice their

opinion on X as opposed to being canceled or or
done away with if they don't have the right point
of view.

And he says that he thinks this cyber attack that
took down the social media app X on Monday seem
to originate from Ukraine. So again, once again, little little
zelenski Is is told no h And now it looks
like this was a Ukrainian cyber attack. They're not exactly

sure what happened, but they are tying it back to
Ukraine they think so. So this is once again we're
we're living in a world that if people don't get
their way and you won't give them what they want,
then they attack you. You can't. You no longer can
say I disagree with the money we're spending there, I

(17:44):
disagree with government waste. Thought that'd be pretty bipartisan. I
disagree with whatever, uh and and and that means that
the opposing ideology doesn't just disagree and try to get
voted in or try to convince people that their ideology
makes more sense. The response now is to kill still

and destroy yep. And of course I don't know how
to break that to you who those characteristics represent.

Yeah, even Rick SpaceX the latest explosion, h MSNBC seemed
thrilled that it happened when they were reporting it.

things that Elon Musk was doing, and he once was

They're just pointing out that you've lost your way and

is a eighties cruise with a Royal Caribbean and unfortunately

it appears that the lead singer a Faster Cat. The
lead singers girl, basically the only guy originally from the
band left. Did you say his name t A I
Tamy tammy Down, tamy Down, Okay, tamy Down. I always
go out and live here and say that's not his
given name, right, tamy Down. And this is a horrible story.

His fiance, it looks like, has either accidentally fallen off
the ship. Uh, I think they rode that went And
now they're saying that she jumped on her own over
an argument they were had in summer, since she may
have been under the influence of alcohol, which they're saying
that she was drinking on the cruise, according to someone
who knew her, which was out of character for her.

So I'll show you by me jumping off. If I'm
mad at you, why don't I throw you off?

Speaker 4 (24:14):
I get, I get I'm not thinking right. Maybe some
I'm under the influence, so I'm not. But I've gone
from an argument to I'm jumping over a cruise ship.

Listen, I've only been on one cruise.

I did get to there, and I remember at night
standing on that deck looking going that would be horrible
to think if you were out there, Yes, well horrible.

Just get another room. Or go somewhere else. Why are
you jumping off? Remember this is a band from the eighties,
So I mean they're sixty and fifty six years old.
Don't picture angel. Well she's a wild young people, it's
just fifty six. Oh she is, goes.

Most of them have the well you're right, but so
he actually has one that's close to his age.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah, and said everybody said they looked like they were fine.
But then people said they heard them having an argument
in their cabin and they said that now they think
she jumped off the ship to her death. What the
horrible they think? Hmmm, well, it says everything appears. I

think there's video. There's video now, and I don't want
to see it, but there's there's video now. She's seen
climbing the ship's rail and then taking a step off
on purpose. In the world, right kid? So anyway, and
I was.

Not y'all remember when that kid on the cruise ship
jumped off like as part of a dare and yeah, disappeared.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Yeah, jump off a good We had the one guy
that fell off, remember that they found But that's it.
Most of the time, it's not even First of all,
you can't slam the brakes on the boat. No, it's
gonna take them in. Even if you're trying to stop.
It's gonna be a second before you get that baby
reeled in. Any anybody, anybody here never been on a cruise.

Never been.

I've been on one, and I mean it ain't for me.
And there's a shaker too many people in my business. Yes, yes, and.

I mean I think we've been on two one actually
for the show. I don't know if you remember that.

We had to do some call in and stuff. It
was it was a promotion and y'all didn't want to go.

But we actually I took Terry and Tyler. We actually
had a little family get away.

It was nice. I have I went on a cruise
from my honeymoon. Do you remember that story? Yeah? Well, yeah,
of course, you know, they'd like for you to have
some money. I didn't have any. And then there is
we did two ricking Bubble cruises, Yeah, I think so
was it two? I know we did two three to

do the show. So I have been on three cruises
and uh m, I just don't. Every now and then
i'll see somebody, if they're a little bit older, they'll
kind of jump up and down and seem enthusiastic about
a cruise. Most people that go on cruises, they that's
always their reaction. That was all right, it was, It's okay,

it was now.

I'll tell you what I hear a lot of I
say a lot. You know, these mighty mighty cruise ship
shows and stuff like on Smithsonian Channel and others, like
getting on these smaller cruise ships and going like up
the Mississippi or down the Mississippi.

River about riverboat cruise.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Yeah, but but they're they're really cruise. They're pretty large.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
You're talking about river, you're talking about riverboat crews. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:28):
And people say, now that's that's nice because you stop
off and you see you got all kinds of But
I'm saying this is more of uh, you know, historical
stops and different things that places you might not ever
just travel to, but because of the stops, you're able
to see.

There's one that goes down the Nile and everything over
is that the Viking Graze?

Speaker 4 (27:52):
Yeah, I have seen and such like Europe and and
all that.

Alaska one sounds interesting.

I'd like Alaska, I'd like Mediterranean cruise.

To me, it's all about the accommodations. I don't, I don't.
I don't want to. That's where I missed. I don't
want to be in a closet. That's exactly what.

I got to have a window.

I got a balcony.

It was the bunch on Titanic that they locked downstairs,
won't let them up.

Oh wow, Well you remember Mickey Dane on the Rick
and Bubba cruise that his room was so far in
the bottom of the boat.

There's a v in the floor and there was a
picture of your room and his. Yeah, my room so
bad that there's a picture of Ricking Bubba's room in

we just we grew up in a different time. And
we always talk about how our kids have got to

experience things that we would never even dream of. And
so I never even flew on an airplane till I
was eighteen years old, and that was on a recruiting trip,
you know, I did. I mean, I mentioned I played
a little balls, she did, and so and I remember
being terrified getting on an airplane. I've never been one
of my life. And then I look at my kids
and they've been, They've been everywhere, and and so Sherry rightfully,

So I didn't have that much desire to travel. But
but Sherry was like, look, if we ever get to
a situation where we are able to travel, oh, I'd
love to see more of the world. She was like,
you know, I never even saw the Gulf of Mexico.
So I was in college, you know, and so so
I was or the Gulf of America, I should say,
but back then it was Gulf of Mexico. By the way,
that was one things in the book. On the audio

it still says Golf of Mexico. And I said, well,
I'm talking about the time period when we went to
the each with my dad. It was still called the
Golf of Mexico, so I'm leaving it. But anyway, so
of course it's now Golf of America. But so we
we didn't have a lot of budget at all, and
so she was like, I would love to take a cruise.

It was something you you think that was kind of cool.
You watch Love Boat growing up and all that, and
so we so we booked a cruise and everybody kept
telling me because I'd never been anywhere, Hey, get travelers checks.
And I'm like, what, oh, you got to get travelers checks.
Don't be don't you dare be toting cash. So the

(32:39):
Rick and Bubba show would have been in our second year,
third year ninety six. Okay, So so we were two
years old. The show was okay, and so we just
you know this was before any big contracts, so we

(32:59):
don't we're not, but we're we're checked to check baby. Okay.
So I got my travelers checks like I was told
to do, went to the bank. Felt Jewish, incredibly awkward.
So I thought, in those days, we had a lot
of deals with limousines. You remember that these loasine services
would take us everywhere. Yeah, and we didn't have to
pay for it. They would do it for advertising. We

(33:21):
traded it, love to trade. So I thought, because I'm classy,
I thought of my new bride, and now gonna ride
in the limousine to the Atlanta Airport. We're gonna get
out right at the gate. We're gonna fly to where
the boat I think it was Miami. Maybe the boat
was taken off from it was Miami. And because I
remember that was the first time someone got on to

(33:41):
me because I couldn't speak Spanish, Oh yeah, I had
no idea what was the head for our country? But
right then I thought, well, this feels weird. It's like
you've acrossed the border. Yeah. And so so we we
get we're in the line going up to the ship
you know, to get on it is that called embarking,
start looking for the traveler checks. I ain't got it.

(34:02):
And it was all the money we had, okay, except
except for what all that pre planning and you don't have.
I mean I'm talking about like a few hundred dollars
maybe in the checking account. That's it, okay, that's all
the money we had to our name. And then these
traveler checks and your toting money. So I get on
the ship and I'm like, we don't have any money.

(34:24):
Well again I'm new to all this. Well they start
talking about us opening accounts, you know, go ahead and
get you an account, and anything that you get outside
of what's provided, you know, goes on your account. I thought, well, dang,
if you'll give me an account, well let's let's let
it roll. So so I'm on the account. Well there's

(34:46):
not anything really in the account. I mean, all I've
got is the check card from the account. I don't
don't have all that. In those days, I couldn't get
no credit card, would even come after me, remember a
mashed card or come to my house once when I
was sayingle and wanted their money back, and you asked
them what they what are you going to do? And
I love the faces. This is going to damage your credit.
I remember saying, oh, I think that ship is Yeah, no,

(35:07):
you drove out here. You're right, you had to drive
out here today. And I'm sitting here in the middle of
the day in a pair of shorts. I think that's
been established. But anyway, so, so it didn't have a
lot of credit. Uh, that was not a good risk,
and so so, and I don't want to run it
for Sherry, so I don't want to let her know.
I guess we're okay. They they let us establish an account.

(35:28):
How did you lose it? Come on, yeah, I left
them on the seat in the limousine when I got
out the airport, in that line. That's where they were
right down. Can't get them to you though, you're in international
international water. So and remember a phone call from the
ship's gonna cost a fortune. Yeah, okay. So, so I
start this routine to see if I can get Bubba

(35:49):
on the phone and get y'all on the phone. When
do we get paid? And whenever we get paid, can
y'all go deposit this check? And it was a race
that the check payday could get the deposit, but or
I read out of money. On the ship. Okay, it's so.

But when you port and they want they said, they okay,
now we're going to.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
Run to clear your So Shary and I are out
there in the reggae son. You remember that, Yes, that's
still drums buffalos. Yeah, and and I just think it's
the greatest. She's got a little straw hat just put
on my cant right And unfortunately for unfortunately for our account,
I had not given up alcohol.

Yet, and so that I can't really still I was
new to the faith. What I got written that I
was still holding onto that one a little bit.

And uh and so so I you my my name

Well they're German. Oh they were Norwegian. You know it
sounds awful all that German.

And they're very serious. And I walk into the purser's
office and chairs like, are they calling you on the PA.
It's probably a little anniversary thing. Yeah, probably gift singing
for it social Yeah. We uh your account has no
more money. I'm like, yeah, no kidding. And so I

looked at him, I said, Okay, we need you to
pay going forward, I'm like, I don't have any money,
and they just from me there. I just kind of
stand off, kind of back to the master. I don't
know what to check. I lost my travelers checks, and

(37:34):
apparently you've informed me that my checking account is empty.
Somebody's trying to get my paycheck in the in the account.
And it was a big stand off between me and
the Norwegians. You know, are you gonna we need you
to put money in the account? Understood, but don't have it.
And then and then I just looked and I said, God,
I just gonna throws off the boat. I don't know

what to tell you, and they didn't know what to
do with me, and and uh and then all of
a sudden, finally I just looked down and says, we
will take it up with your bank. And so once
he said that, I just I just went right out
here Charyotti. He says, everything okay, everything's fine, and so

uh so when I got back to the stage, you know,
because at this point I think that we could be
thrown off at any time. Eventually, eventually, a big sweep
from Norwegian Cruise Lines gaped in my checking account.

And this is now a trend, and they're trying to
now of course, as everything is, they want to put
themselves on social media trying to arrive at their gate
fifteen minutes prior to departure, and they think this is sharp.

in this. But how much would that drive you bonkers?
If these idiots were part of your group? Oh and
you're you're looking at you watch bonkers. You're one mistake

look at when you're flying and you go, all right,
I need to be It's a strange concept. I need
to be in that city by this time. What a concept? Okay,
And so you have good so you look at the
flights and you go out of work. But so many times,
because it's so hard to get a direct flight. If

it's not a direct flight, which is most of the time,
you better check that turnaround. They tried to be sharp
Greg again, and they've got your timeline together on arrival
as long as you can land at the airport and
be to the next gate in forty five minutes. And
I got news for you. There's some airports where that
is a sprint, Atlanta being one of them, you know,

because it never fails. It's you know you, I say,
you like, I've never won anything. I've never made the
right investment in anything, you know. I mean, if I
touch anything, whatever value it has is now over. Okay.
I never I never go in at the right time
on anything. Okay. If you want something to lose value,
you just just let me invest in there, start trying it, okay.

So I mean I can't have people saying all of
us had a great turnaround on that, and I go, oh,
I'm gonna try it.

still do a hard ticket, look at your ticket and go,

you look at it and you realize, oh my gosh,
we didn't allow enough time. And then you and there's

what I'm saying, here's what's never worked out for me.
And they'll always be the person the plane that will
try to give you hope. Well maybe maybe where we
come in, you know that gate will be near your gate.
Never wherever the plane decides to let us all furthest
I am the furthest one. Not one time, not one time,
have I ever been let at the same letter that

is the same letter where I need to be for
the connective to get never. If somebody will say, hey,
where you think they're gonna pull us in? I said,
I'll tell you they're gonna pull us in. Apparently I've
got to go to a So we're coming in at

back over the net. Now he's already followed through in
a promise to put a twenty five percent tariff on
Canadian electricity to Michigan. New York and Minnesota, and now
the Ontario premier, who runs Canada's you know, most populated province,
says that he's ready to shut electricity off completely if

America continues to escalate. Now, Trump, of course has come
back making this plan. Say, despite the fact that Canada
is charging the USA from two hundred and fifty percent
to three hundred and ninety percent tariffs on many of
our farm products, Ontario just announced a twenty five percent
surcharge an electrician of all things.

And you're not even allowed to do that, he said
on his social media truth social So he said. Trump says,
don't worry, we will get it all back on April
the second, when the administration's tariff plan goes into effect.

when you have, the kids and during this time, of
kids when they're young and there's so much, going on
there's nothing it'll bring more peace to those children than
for them to always see that mom and dad love
each other and they're devoted to. Each other so, you
know you're not neglecting them at all by them seeing

the two of you continuing to date, each other to spend. Time,
together uh and you need to make that. A priority
sometimes you get into the, mode, going well let's just
let's just try to get some time together when. We
can the, next thing, you know you run into this
ballgame that, ball game, this play, that recital this parent,
teacher meeting then work and all the, other stuff and

before you, know it, you know months have. Gone by
and so make it, a priority make. IT intentional i
know some couples that even have one day a week
that they're always gonna either go on a. Walk together
andy don't have to be, thinking ELABORATE so i would.
Say that and then obviously from the, spiritual standpoint HOPEFULLY
and i don't want to be, too personal but hopefully

the two of you have, your children you know immersed
in the local church that that foundation is crucial. For
