and the list rolls on and on and on. Speedy,
Greg and Adler also ready to go today for another
(02:05):
Rick Burgess show. And we do have a lot to do. Uh,
we do have a lot to do. I mean when
somebody's already text Sam Royland fifty nine from Texas in
the vox eas today, huh wet everybody needs to give
a ton to that. Are you all ready to give
a tony? I know you' all ready to give a
ton read. I know you got in that vacation mode
last week. You didn't, you know, but you guys, we
(02:28):
got it. You got to be ready to go to that.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
I'm gonna give so much. People are uncomfortable.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, oh speed yeah, speeded. It was one of the
many Greg and give nothing that is I'm gonna be Greg.
As a matter of fact, I've already been Greg. My
Rump's alread almost over h pardon to bad breath. Uh
But anyway, so I love quoting Greg's grandkids. And I
(02:54):
know you speedy with with River then you know they'll
say anything. And then Adler's got young enough kids, He's
still getting these quotes and Ezra is going to start
cracking about as well. But when when I saw the
one of Gregg's grandkids that started school, uh, pistol paced
Jones when he went to his classroom, he said, I'm
gonna play so hard in here. Yeah yeah, and live
(03:18):
up to it until it But he didn't realize that it
would be longer in church. Yeah, he thought he was
gonna be there battle. I'm gonna play so hard in here.
So that's our attitude about this. We're gonna play so hard.
We got Burgess Ball Battle coming up. So really, the
the old Will has been resting too. It was on
vacation Bill spend the day.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
I'm gonna add one to the list.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
You know, we have grandkids that will say the darnedest
things and it's just funny. I'm gonna add my cousin
Lisa to the list, who's an adult special needs and
she'll say some of the funniest things. And she's dead serious,
and you know she has she can get around, but
it's it's a tough time and it's always been that way.
And my myster Lynn said what you never want to hear,
(04:02):
and that is it's picture time.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
You know, and everybody. Everybody's like, oh, no, here we go.
Everybody in the front Yardbody, let me look at it.
I take another one. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:10):
So we we are going out to the front yard,
and of course she she wraps her on around on
my mind and I'm helping her through the grass to
get to this perfect tree that we got.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
To stand in front of.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
And and I said, hey, you read you want to
play some football, you know, to to my cousin Lisa,
who obviously can't. And she says, no, my running days
are over. And I thought, and my dad got to laugh,
and he goes, she's never ran in her life. But
she was dead serious. Hey, now am I running days?
(04:41):
When I played a little ball? I said, so you
want me to block for you?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
She just laughs and no, I'm not going to be
running today.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
But she's dead serious. So I'm gonna add her to
the list.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
I'll let you know some well, please, quotes from aint
Lisa would be great. Well, the the other the other
thing you you mentioned was the god forsaken let's take pictures. Oh,
I don't know how many people. I don't know how
many people in an up an obscure island somewhere in
the many islands of the Bahamas, can hear me?
Speaker 6 (05:12):
You know.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
I tried to let let them know they should all
be listening. And I'd like to thank y'all yesterday for
never quite getting that I wasn't in Jamaica. I was
in the Bahamas. But with all your attempts at accents,
but yeah, I had it. I felt so bad for
the people that work so hard at these kind of
resort areas where you go, because I just wish I
could apologize to every one of them that Cherry would say,
(05:35):
excuse me, could you take our picture? And see they
think they're gonna snap one maybe and they're gonna get
back to their lives. You saw this happen when you
and I went to that ball. I finally asked, asked
Sherry for me, Please don't ask that girl one more, know,
just find somebody else quite as the same one. Cherry
thinks the random person that she's just encountered our is
(05:57):
working at the place where we're eating wherepparently she wants
to get a picture of us somehow. She thinks they're
professional photographers that we've hired, And I'm like, baby, this
is just random person okay, no, no, no, Now now
turn the camera this way. Now try one with this way. Now,
come in a little bit, back up, a little bit.
Just a random person she's telling. And what's so bad
(06:18):
is every single person, like the person's the ball game
that night, Greg, they think this is going to be
something real quick that's done, and they don't realize that
they're about to be hired out for for like a
full blown photo session. And if you walk away that
doesn't mean anything. Just come get you. Can we do
one more? Can we do one? No? No, I want
to say, back up, come in closer, but wow, woa
(06:38):
whoa they have to look at it one hundred times
I say this and mean it. I don't care at
all what I look like in the picture. No, I
don't even look when it's over. I don't go see
what it looks like. I don't care at all. Just
let's be done. When I actually heard this one, why
while we were there, I'll be slightly off, Greg. No,
this happened that picture right there. So that's what upsets me.
(06:59):
That right there will be perfect if you have your
shirt all wadded up. And I said, we have shirt
swatted up. She said, well, what's what with your shirt?
I said, I'm gonna tell you what you're seeing. That's
when you decided to come in there and wrap your
arm around me. And you pulled this in real close.
You pulled my shirt, you know. Yeah, well there was
a perfect shot. That's when I wanted Christ, now you've
got a wrinkled shirt. And I was like, it's not wrinkled,
(07:21):
it's just.
Speaker 5 (07:21):
Being pulled by You pulled it again, and it makes
no sense. Like So, so my sister Lynn wanted a
little picture with me and mom and Dad and her,
the four of us. So Race was there, and Terry
and then my brother in law Mark. Well they've got
phones and they you know, they're like, hey, I just
wanted to get for my dad's eighty fifth birthday. And
they were in pictures too, but I want to get
(07:43):
one with you four. That's what you know, That's what
Lynn was saying us for. And and so I'm just
standing there and I get Dad's head pointing the right way,
so he's not looking off to the left, right, and
and I'm like, they're right there, you know, right in
front of you. So I get us, I get his
head right and he and I are just standing there,
perfect and but and well.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Let me see that one. Well, Mom, why would he
keep looking down? And I'm thinking, and I now, how
hard is it to stand here and look forward and smile?
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Why?
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Well, your your eyes are looking down on that one. Oh,
I'm looking to the right on it. How hard is
it just stand there and look forward? Remember the day?
Remember the good old days I like to call them, yes,
where you had to get pictures developed so they couldn't know.
And then when you got them developed, then you had
that discussion. But there was nothing they could do about it, nothing,
to be honest with you. To me, that was the best.
(08:29):
That was the best. Remember Dad was bad about his thumb.
If he's taking the picture, Mom, you're blinking.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Why you keep blinking to catch your eyes clothed?
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well, I missed the days where you couldn't have a meeting.
Polaroid was not a great looking when they take those
three fingers and they start bringing that picture on and
then it gets me with the women and I know
we've talked about this, but this is this is I
got to go back and revisit this. And all of
you out there, ladieship, no you do. It's like they
all get on the same page about the latest thing
that makes them look good in the picture, and all
(08:58):
of everyone's got their legs. Yeah. I mean it's like
I got to be on one side. No, I got
to be on the left. I gotta be on the
other side. They don't want to be on the end.
Nobody wants to be on the end. And here's one
you love. If you're in my situation. Of course, Greg,
you are too. How tall is Terry right? Five eight okay,
(09:19):
so you're not as bad. That's tall that when your
wife is five foot one. Sure, Hey, when your wife's
five foot and you're like six one okay, and I
got it five eight, so you are so listen already
the pictures. Yeah, the picture. That's a picture problem. I
mean I'm a foot taller than her, so that comes
into play, you know. And I'm just like baby, just
(09:40):
I just wish we'd go back to days where you
had to develop them so that way we have to
go through this, yes, and remember how fun it was,
Like I said, we of course we'd hurt our sister's
feelings if we caught her in a funny one, you know,
to go through them and point out whatever I was
doing wrong. But you know what, that was your picture,
that's all you had. You'd go ahead and put it
in the funnel album. Anyway. The worst one we were
going through the lobby where we were staying, and I
felt so bad for this guy. He was busy, man,
(10:02):
I mean he was like, I'm the guy here at
the actual whereby checks in. Everybody comes here to find
out where their golf cart is. You know, I'm the
guy that handles everything going on. Yeah, and and and
he said yes, thinking he would just step away from
his desk for just a minute, and I just almost
looked him like I started shaking him out. I don't
know it, don't take it, hand it off.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Somebody danking his captain. Jack didn't take off his picture.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Oh think you got that last time we took a picture.
Speaker 7 (10:34):
It was good.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
The husband had it because his wife was eating by
a shark. Soon after, the guy.
Speaker 4 (10:40):
That took your picture was like, what love, he's not
skipping back to Jiman.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Now. I wasn't in Jamaica. It was Bahamas, like.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
Everything gonna be all right now? What look, God, you
look right at me.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
It was not in Jamaica. It wasn't Jamaica.
Speaker 7 (10:57):
It's the Rick Burger's Show.
Speaker 2 (11:04):

then Tuscaloosa uh. And then of course we have guys
going out to these other markets too that I mentioned
so and then Sherry going up to Testcumbia. Arch Manning, Hey,
(13:18):
arch arch Manning. Look, let's face it, football is almost here.
We're getting kind of jacked. Yeah we are. And Greg,
you and I list we talked about it. We got
to do better, man, What is our problem? We hyped
up that playoff system last year and didn't even give
it much. I don't know, why it just didn't I
make it go. I'm making I didn't like watching Indiana
(13:38):
play that one game. Yeah, I'm like to apologize to
the entire state of Indiana. Yeah, just one. They're one
of those college teams I thought, that's l am I affiliate.
That's got a lot of people who listened to the
show in Indiana. Just so you know, I'm just saying, Okay,
you didn't want to basketball, I guess okay.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
But they're coming in pre season number twenty? Did Greg
get mad at that?
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Did Greg just tell us that his whole playoff experience
was room by Indiana?
Speaker 5 (14:01):
Not really, but it was kind of When it got
down to the end, they with them, They correct somehow.
They're going with the highest rank now, which is what
it should have been. Not just if you win the
conference you get it automatic.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
By what.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Now it's the highest ranked, which is going to be
good when it gets down to the end, because to
your point, you had some that were higher rank that
had to play, you know, and it was and others
were getting buys and you didn't like that.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
I didn't, So right, we'll have a better attitude about it.
The Texas Longhorns with Arch Manning now solid the starter
because you know quinn uh hey says, youwers, you weers.
I always struggle with his last name. He's he's gone.
What if he lived in rinkings with the Dolphins in
his moment? But yeah, not doing great. I don't think
really not doing well. Somebody made a statement because you
(14:47):
know everybody's breaking arts down, they're going well. He couldn't
even beat yours out and you were it was just
one preseason game. He had a bad game. But that
has nothing to do well. Y'all said it yesterday, And
I know it's uncomfortable to the Dolphin fans, but you
you need to be looking for who might be a
backup because two is not gonna make it through the season.
He's not well.
Speaker 5 (15:05):
We say, we hope he does.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
No, I hope he does. But I mean, guys, let's
face it, that did sound.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
Hey, Yeah, I hope he does make it, but prone
to injury. History shows that he prone to injury. But
we hope he doesn't.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Well, of course, I hope they go back to them.
You know, I still here in the real world. Does
Arch Manning live up to the hype as a college
quarterback this year? With by the way, the Longhorns are
ranked number one is what I was going to say.
Arch Manning in Texas pre season number one, which, first
of all, do we believe in the Longhorns? Yeah, that'll
(15:40):
be good.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
Do they beat Ohio State week one?
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Yeah, that's a tough start.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
That's a tough play. That in Ohio State's number three,
that's tough start.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Yeah, you'd like to he's into that. Let me tell
you something. And I don't like you. I don't like
Ohio State, never have, never will. But y'all were the
best team last year and you were in the street.
You were impressive. Yeah, and you you were a handful
hey as a good football team.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, your coach looked like an evil villain from Star Treks.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yes, that's right. He's kicking off the hunger games. I
get it.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
So if so, do you realize that in roughly three weekends, Okay,
you're going to have like Clemson and l s U
playing Texas and Ohio State. I mean, and that's just
the name too. I mean you got others, you know,
other big games. But Greg, do you remember rate goodness?
That's going to be something else.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
I love it when I'm playing the little sisters of
the poor.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
Yeah, and then and since you look like coach to boar,
now I will say this for you.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
You got Florida State, that's right, but you never know
what you got there, all right, So do you remember
this is gonna be my new commitment. It sounds weird
that I've got to make this commitment, but you're in
it too. Okay, it's our attitude last year over college
football was just terrible. It really was. But but but
I'm going to say this and then we go back.
This happened so many, many many years ago. She's actually
the mother of two now Greg's daughter. At one time
(17:02):
used to be a little bit. She pushed about me
being around. She was I made her. She was, she
was little. I was a little much, and Chandler Rick
came in hot. I came in hot, and I would
spook channel a little bit. And one day she just
came up to you and said she'd made the commitment
that she was going to give me a lot the
next time she saw me, that she was ending all that. Yeah,
and then from that day for it. It was fine, it was,
(17:23):
But didn't she make a declaration she was gonna hug
you today? Because Rick and I was coming out and
Taylor she would run from him, right, and so she
did and from ever since then, she just declared it.
So I'm gonna declare I'm gonna hug college football this year.
I'm gonna stop being I don't know what was wrong
with me last year. I don't know, it was odd.
I was trying to get you guys into it. I
know how strange was that?
Speaker 5 (17:42):
Yes, yeah, and then we were in student drums, and
then that we have that week that gets us all mad,
what they call week zero, you know, and and it's
it's it's the week before they really really really but
you got some games, but they'll start the twenty third
of August.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Stupid Friday night games that don't I don't like that.
Once again, Penn State trying to get every bay excited,
and they'll disappoint it and now have a good decent record,
but they will not win. The big will sit there
at number two. We'll be all impressed with how they play,
and then they'll just they'll they'll choke when it comes
to their opportunity. Uh. And then you mentioned Ohio States
three already, Clemson at four. A lot of people let
(18:21):
me tell you they're hyping the quarterback. Was his name?
There we go again for who Clemson? There a lot
of people think they claim he's the best college and
I'm the best quarterback in college right now. I'm club nick,
club nick yeah. Never one that looks like okay, but
club yeah. Quarterback last year Georgia at number five.
Speaker 7 (18:43):
It looks kind of like a I don't know, okay.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Nice but anyway, he's got a lot of hyphen Then
you got some people that are claiming arts is overrated.
And then but I did that. I was telling Speedy
I saw the other day where his granddad said, no
matter how a year ago, he'll be back senior year
at Texas. In other words, if he has a great year,
he's still not going well. Was that could change? Well,
this goes back in again. He can stay in Texas
(19:07):
and make money. This goes back to I think when
you think about arch Manning, I do think in his situation,
I don't know what's gonna happen in the field, but
I do think in his situation, you have to feel
pretty good because you look at things like you just said, Greg,
he has a great foundation around him. He has a
(19:27):
solid family, he's got solid wisdom coming from everywhere. He
seems to have a pretty good head on the shoulder shoulder.
He plays hard, he prepares well, makes a ton of money.
And look, last two seasons are a prime example. Like
I said, anybody else with his hype and ability would
have left. They wouldn't have played behind yours for two years.
(19:48):
So we will see Georgia is sitting there at pre
season number five. I'm sorry, number four. And of course Georgia,
I think, is always going to contend. Oh you know, yeah,
Kirby Schmarts, good coach, great program, a lot of great players. Uh.
Then once again they always put Oregon up there, so
we can wait for them to get beat by somebody
(20:10):
really good. And Alabama is top ten l s u
uh and then Miami Florida. So there you go.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
So on the thirtieth that Saturday, you know, you have
the early game, the eleven am game. Uh, and and
that's going to be Texas, Ohio. Stay eleven am on Fox.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
I like eleven o'clock.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
But at the same time on ESPN, missisby State and
Southern mister watch out.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
Okay, I'll stay gonna do this year. I don't know well,
you never know, you never know. I don't even know
who's coaching. I mean, you have a completely the team
just movie. I don't know who the coach. You're insulting me.
Speaker 5 (20:47):
No, I don't mean no, he's looking for I'm actually
looking for the two thirty games.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
I have a I have a Missisippi State graduate in
my fans. I've spent a lot of time in.
Speaker 5 (20:59):
Alabama, up Salabama, Florida State's the two thirty game.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
That day, Yeah, good day. Yeah, I pull for Missipi State,
but I don't know who the coach is. Uh.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
And then the night game, the six thirty game that
day is L s U Clempson.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
My goodness, that's gonna be quite a day. Jeff Levy
Lebby Lebby, Leeby Levy.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
Now I'm looking at the schedule.
Speaker 7 (21:22):
I'm trying to find it.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Did you know the head coach at Missisters State? Before
he said it, yes, is it Levy or Leeby?
Speaker 5 (21:27):
I thought it was Leeby.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Get Where did he come from? I don't know. Uh,
he was at Oklahoma, right, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
He was offensive coordinated there and he was with at
Ole Miss That's what he wasn't o Miss that's where
then he went to I think Oklahoma and then came here.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Right. Okay, so I'm committed that I'm gonna try to
go all in. I'm gonna try to ignore all this
n I L stuff. It's hard, uh, and I'm just
gonna look at uniforms and as the names changed. Whatever.
I'm gonna try to see good football.
Speaker 4 (21:59):
Somebody needs to tell our Manning that we can see
his Venmo transactions. By the way, we can see what
he calls them. To be careful what he's doing there
on Venmo.
Speaker 7 (22:07):
This is the Rick Burdger's show.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Adler just begin to shout out about arch Manning's Venmo.
I had no idea what you were talking about. But
you're you're saying some of his purchases have become public.
What you're saying? Yeah on Venmo?
Speaker 4 (22:26):
You can like what?
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Okay, we'll get to that, great han.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
I'm sorry, what now, buddy?
Speaker 1 (22:31):
What did you just say? What is Venmo? What is
n never used it? Well, I'm about to go back
to the flip phone. Guys. I'm to that point. I'm
done with all this. I was nothing to do with it.
I'm in a waiting room and there's signs. First of all,
everywhere do not have phones out? I know those are
kind of outdated, and they left them up the dogs,
(22:52):
But everybody in there had their nose stuck in their phone.
Every ridiculous. Wait, wait does that have to do with it?
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Wait there's a sign phones. There's a sign that says
no phones.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Yeah, doctor's offices.
Speaker 4 (23:03):
What what do they mean by that?
Speaker 1 (23:04):
There was a time, man on yourself, I think those
they they did that and they just left the sign right.
There was a time when they worried about them interacting
with the medical equipment, like causing issues. Yeah, for sure,
really but I think they that lot of them, especially
when they put you back in the room. If you
look there's a nobody goes by it. Nobody goes by.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
But are you doing a bit? You really don't know
what Venmo is?
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I don't. I know. It's something I guess you buy
stuff with it. I don't know. I've never used it
and I have no desire to all. So, first of all,
what what's arch Manning? Before we get to what's Venmo?
Speaker 4 (23:37):
Arch Manning was well in Venmo, Well we should explain
what Venmo is. So Greg knows what I'm talking about Well,
I will I will tell you call the internet Greg.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Yeah, but I will tell I want to take the
market the base. Go ahead, it's not my problem.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
Okay, there's no mark.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
That's all about y'all PayPal or you ever heard of that?
What's that?
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Have you heard of YouTube?
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (23:58):
What YouTube is for?
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Video? Was venmo is for moneys?
Speaker 4 (24:02):
I knew it is, but you can go you can
basically can pay people person to person.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
I've never used it, but I know what it is.
I've never used it, but I know what it is. Well,
you can check my wife use it with like when
women do like a bridle shower. Yes, and they'll be like, okay,
venmo me, what's your feeling? Yes, yes, but I don't
do it.
Speaker 7 (24:24):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
And you can have groups. If you've got to say,
a bunch of ladies are putting together a bridle shower,
then everybody can pitch in and even you have like,
you can have group.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
By the way it happened, it happened in the Bahamas.
We went on like a little scursion thing and pretty
rough moment when we realized that the person wanted straight
cash homie and I was like, wait, well, I don't
have that much cash on me, and and then they're like,
I said, I've got obviously I have a card. No,
we don't really do a card. And I'm like, well,
and all I thought of is we saw everything we're
supposed to see. Let's run for it, right, what are
(24:55):
they going to do? But then then Sherry said you
want me, you can I venmo you. And then of
course then the one was like, well, yeah, of course,
And all I can think about is now everybody has
our account. The woman was like that that's iri. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
I mean Jamaica woman ain't no ting like a chicken wing.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
That is that. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
So back back to Venro's. It's a way to buy
and and pay people and all that kind of stuff.
And so you got cash out, you got you got,
you got venmo, you got all these kind of things
to do. But if you ever friends with somebody where
you're you're in that network, when you go to pay
them whatever, you can see a lot of times what
(25:40):
they've been doing. You know, like I paid Greg, you know,
five dollars because he bought me something at the you know,
the machine or something.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Five You guys, you think Speedy don't know about Venmo.
And so he's got to make laid back.
Speaker 5 (25:58):
If you've ever been a parent on a team utilities
this month, y'all better pay me back.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Yeah, and so it.
Speaker 5 (26:04):
But let's say you have a house like uh the
boys did at UAH, and you've got four you've got
four roommates of total, and then you got parents like
we had internet and everything in our name, and and
another family had, you know, utilities in their name whatever. Well,
every month you know that the bill comes in and
we paid it, and then they would venmo be their
(26:26):
their their portion, and then you can take venmo and
then deposit it into your account, your your banking account
or whatever it came out of. It's a way of
paying people and and also selling things. When you go
to to uh on the internet and buy things, sometimes
pay options. Venmo's down there where you could pay for something.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Huh. I just don't use it. I don't use it either.
So you can, I guess you can.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
You can see what arch Manning has bought. I guess
if your friends so there's an't.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Y'all just told me it was secure and we know
what arch man is buying.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Venmo is trying to do. Like the media aspect of it.
They're trying to make it like a social media news
feed or whatever. You can see like, so somebody gave
a thumbs up for somebody's birthday, you know how you
can see that on social media. Is trying to do that.
But you can uncheck that box. I unchecked that box
because I don't that's that.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
That to me is what we do.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Then, most peer to peer payments are very smooth and
easily done. Women's underwear, well, you can you can see
Rick got jacket again. You can see the amount.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Take it off at if you.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Want, or you can not see the amount, or you
cannot see the description, or you can see the description
on arch. So that's to the whole point of the story.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Arch Manning, who's Arch Manning?
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Okay, hate Manning?
Speaker 1 (27:53):
So what was archbyd just got her by stirred?
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Well he he wasn't what he was buying. It's what
he was describing it as. And I'll just put it
on the screen behind you.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Guys.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Some of them are normal like food and some just
say thanks, some say book it, some other some say
weird things like that's that's just but that said butt
stuff and so in that maybe just sid that one
just says, but yeah, you can see that, right, wow,
(28:29):
So he may.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Never go again.
Speaker 5 (28:30):
He doesn't say, but you can block those as he
was saying, I don't know even available, Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
And your money if if you want to, like say,
say you sell the devil and do that, that's fine, right,
but there's no reason for them to have that if
you spell vinmo.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
The way was originally done six letters, Rick, personal trainers,
uh landscapers a lot of a lot of time, a
lot of times that's how they received instead of like hey,
instead of hey, write me a check or something, there's
just venmo me something. But the I r S cracked
down on venmo uh years ago because people weren't reporting
(29:09):
their their their income and so another way to get
paid in care and so well there's options on the
business side, or sharing money through friends, and so you
always want to share money through friends because if you
bought me something, I'm just paying you back. You're not
earning money from me. I'm just paying you back. And
so there's and there's probably safer ways with Zell and
(29:29):
others to to interact and send money back and forth.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
I got I got all that. I don't understand why
anybody want their transactions to be public. Yeah, and you
can take that off. That doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
I totally agree.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Yeah, but a lot of times and arch manning of
all people I think would hit the privacy cety, especially
if it's but Stove on it doing that.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Yes, I know. So be sure what we're making public
and everybody.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Imagine the signs and the stands this year. People are
opposing teams are gonna be holding up at him. Sure, yeah, sure,
And what if you found out it was just him
sending some money to his center?
Speaker 7 (30:10):
Right?
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Yeah, you go top of the hour. You were gonna say, speedy.
I know we make fun of these national this day,
national that day, but you said today special. It is special.
And I wanted to just wait about ten different things.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
I just wanted to look at Greg. You're looking at me, buddy,
I'm looking at happy National middle Child Day.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Oh how about that?
Speaker 5 (30:38):
I know you love things like this.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah you're being the middle.
Speaker 7 (30:42):
Child, buddy.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Oh yeah, this is my day. It's your day.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Man.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
How do you feel different? No? No, happy middle child?
Happy middle child? What's it like being a middle child?
It's really no different. I don't think I mean everybody.
I don't know. You want to talk about it, to
break it. I mean, how does it make you feel?
Has it affected yours? Don't even I've never really noticed.
Did it make you feel weird? You had an older sibling,
(31:08):
had a younger sibling kind of trapped in the middle, not.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
The first, not the not the baby.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Yeah, Rick to the left of me and you to
the right Here, I am stucking you. I think if
you were, like if I had an older sibling that
was like five to ten years older than me and
a younger wan that was five to ten years younger
than it might feel weird. But me and you were
less than two years apart in age.
Speaker 5 (31:31):
It makes you like short tempered, irritated on life things.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah, you were first overall. No, I mean because of that,
I got on my nerves no matter how old you were.
That's all right, it's yeah, that's his stupid. There's been
no effect on Greg. Men say one thing, he got
(32:00):
his hair like he liked it. He did for national
middle to what happened? Is that?
Speaker 8 (32:06):
What it is?
Speaker 5 (32:06):
You've got a national middle hell that just kept cut.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
This hair.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
It says here to observe national middle child days, recognize
the sibling in the middle.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Yeah, yes, I will. I can't speak for angils, but
I will.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
They say, Greg that you're the meat of your family sandwich.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Oh my god, I don't know if I like that.
Good night, he says, to the meat of the same
you're the meat.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
Greg says, if you're a middle child, celebrate your position
in the family. Keep all middle children uh in mind today,
be gentle, happy middle child day.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Greg said, some.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Things you can celebrate make uh make their favorite homemade
dish and bite them over Rick, Rick, What time we eat?
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Well, I think you know, like the rest of us
were eating somewhere around three forty.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Five were done in the card and share a memory
of them. What's a good memory of Greg?
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Good memory of Greg? A good one?
Speaker 5 (33:06):
Yeah, good one? Not when he got the baseball bat
hit you over here?
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Right about the time hit with the baseball? Right. There's
the time that we fought between first and second base
during an actual game. Yeah, we did. We fought each
other trying to be bat boys for dead. Sorry we're
very young. That went poorly. That went poorly. Fan from
it completely banned, you know, Uh, I will tell you.
There's there's so many special times i've had with Greg.
(33:32):
I can't count.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Well, you've told most of them.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Probably.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
It says here, invite your middle child over for coffee. Okay, Uh,
call your middle child to find out about the.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
Talk on the phone. Call my middle child or my siblings.
Call your middle child.
Speaker 5 (33:47):
I guess your parents here. These are just things to
recognize the middle like talking. Uh, take a walk with
your og after work.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
Let's get on the sidewalk.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
Throw a frisbee, or do their favorite activity. What's your
favorite activity?
Speaker 1 (34:02):
I don't know. Greggs favorite activity is for no one
to bother.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
Okay, yeah, play a card or a board game with.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Your with you just don't make an apples and apples? Yeah,
oh gosh, I agree with dad on a boy what
a dumb game.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
The apples to apples?
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yeah? Whatever.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
If your middle child has a middle child suggests they
do things together today, oh not least post a social message.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Okay, yeah that that I'm really count on that. All right,
So let me let me with his haircut to me
how this works, because that's I don't know Greg and
and my sister. It's it's straightforward. You got me, you
got Greg, you got her. So he's clearly middle. But
when you're like me with like five, who's the middle?
Is the middle? Who's the middle point?
Speaker 5 (34:52):
You know, if you have four, if you if you
have five, I would call three probably the middle.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Really, you just recognize the oldest and the youngest, and
everybody else is kind.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
Of everybody else is the middle?
Speaker 5 (35:04):
Yeah, yeah, two, three and four all middle?
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Yeah, I guess so. Yeah, but hey when there's three.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
Yeah, when you're the oldest, you're special. And when they're
you're the youngest, you're the baby. Everybody loves the baby.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
You think that?
Speaker 8 (35:19):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Rick? And is my car gonna be in the mailbox
when I get home? When? Yeah, I'm going to send
your garden. I'm going to say, let me tell you something,
how you've been. I just loved you to day much
and I still love you. And uh and I wish
that we both still had twin beds in that little
bee room. Yep. Yeah, I like to see. I wished
the body slaming each other and it would break the
(35:40):
plank under it.
Speaker 5 (35:41):
After the show today, I'd like to look out there.
I know you got a podcast to do, Rick, but
at some point, just look out this big this, this
big parking lot and.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Just see, I'll go for a walk together. You think
holding hands a little much?
Speaker 5 (35:52):
Yeah, just talking, just talked about talk about life and
and and what you love about it.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
Oh great? You know what we'll do for for for
our middle child today? Just anything Greg needs or wants today,
it's on, it's on, It's it's done. Hey, hey, somebody
bring a fred or eat it?
Speaker 8 (36:06):
Greg?
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Greg, let me tell you what I was gonna do
for your birthday. I was gonna vemo you a little something.
I wish you veo old man, just a little bit
of cash. That a word and we.
Speaker 4 (36:18):
Can have a catch, Greg, if you want to have
a catch.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Yeah are you? Are you a middle kid? I guess so.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
But there's it was like four.
Speaker 4 (36:26):
I've got ten year gap between the next one, so
I was a lot of ways the older older. Yeah,
changing if you're changing diapers?
Speaker 8 (36:33):
Right?
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Uh? To the phones, we go, Hello, you're on the
Rick Birder Show. Unscreen phone calls. Go ahead, Yes you're
on the show. Go right ahead, ma'am.
Speaker 8 (36:51):
I'm so fired up right.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Now, Okay, drop back like terrain last night? Did get
some rain? Where? All right? You let me take something shirt?
Can I tell something about it? That was it. That's
only one. But you know what, I like a fellow
like that. If that's all it takes to get him
that fired up, he must be easy to please. Yeah, okay,
(37:14):
I'm not sure i'd call about it, but yeah, welcome
to the show. Unscreen phone calls, You're on the rick
Burgers Show. Go ahead, Harriet.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
There's a talis from dos and Lla going.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
We're good times. Hope you're well.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
I'm good. You may have heard about this, but I
found another new book that I think everybody will like.
It's called The Bandanna Express by Jeremy Haymore. And this
is a true football story in the manor of Woodlawn
or remember the Titans. It's about the Giles High School,
(37:49):
you know, the Giles Spartans of nineteen eighty and there was,
the best I can tell, there was a there was
a player that there was one player that wore a
red bandana and something happened in the city and the
school revolt really rallied around him. And there's a lot
of subplots to The book was just released a couple
of weeks ago, and it's in my my Amazon que already.
(38:11):
But it's I'm sure it's available wherever fine books are sold.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
Okay, I'm sorry, but I probably read I would, I'd
probably ready say that you're telling me football book. You're
telling you're going to read a football book about a
kid who played who were red Ben. It's going to
be more to because I got to warn you. There's
gotta be more. You've got to warn you. It means
the community's gonna start wearing red bandanas and all that.
(38:36):
And I'm not sure that's I'm not sure that's you. Greg.
Maybe because it's Middle Child Day, you've got an open mind,
but I don't know. I think you're going to demand
a little more from that book. You probably he didn't
explain it. How does Thomas know about it? Well? And
that surely there's more to it than the guy wears
the red ben.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
It's a fractured community, guys thinking of football united around
the team.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Let me guess the football team brings everybody together.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
In the end, have y'all watched any given Saturday.
Speaker 4 (39:07):
I've watched two Sunday Saturday.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
No, sec, I haven't seen it yet. I've seen two episodes.
Any good? Yeah? Because I forgot all about it? Is
it good? It's well done? Okay, Wow, so I got
I got quarterback, I've got hard knocks and now I got.
Speaker 4 (39:22):
That, and you got the Bandana Express.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah. If, of course, if I can get Shary to
watch anything other than the New Leanne Morgan Show on Netflix,
I'd like to see it. And that's funny, too, funny show.
The only thing about shows like this the football I'm
back to it is this last year, so you kind
of know what happens. Okay, but Bobby, no, I mean
I'm used to it when you do. You know, every
everyone's like that, the Formula one things that way. Would
(39:46):
you be open to somebody daring to go, let's just
go week by week and we're trying to get them
edited and try and release them. Be tough, be too tough,
but it is well done. We continue on screen phone calls.
You're on the Rick Burgers show. Go ahead? Oh yeah.
Speaker 8 (39:59):
I wonder if y'all got a new partnership with a
lingo or something, because I heard more Spanish ad brace
while y'all were going than.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
I ever had on here. Well you know what, I
I don't know that yet. That would be something that
just runs national. But I'll take that. De naro I
got no problem with that. We'll continue. Hello, Welcome to
the Rick Burgers Show. On screen, phone calls go.
Speaker 8 (40:18):
Ahead, Hey, good morning, y'all talking about the cash out
and Ben Bow Well, I'm a principal of a middle school,
and so this summer, some of our students, for our
young men, forgot that they had lost into their account,
and so we get these alerts for alarming things. And
let me tell you this, a seventh grade boy, it's
worth a buck to get to Vendo his buddies and
(40:39):
put in the title what he's paying for? Yes, somebody,
and this would this would go all night long, and
there was lots of lots of references that what I
called home. I said, I wish you could check your
Venmo accounts, because you're they would. It's worth a dollar
trading back and forth all night. Here's what I'm paying for,
Here's what you're paying for. It was tough man. Yeah, conversation, Yeah,
(41:01):
I bet it is.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
And I noticed can't I for my friend? Somebody was
putting on the text option like couldn't I label anything
going to my friend? Pretend it's Yeah.
Speaker 8 (41:14):
There was there was a lot of mom and sister
stuff on there.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Let me see you right, you can put whatever you want.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
Well, that takes your mama jokes to a place we
should not go. You have a little thing where you
can put what ye somebody on text stuff? Yeah, something
on text something on text Nation said their friend sent
them money they owed them and put under the title
lap dance. Uh huh yeah, and I think what that's
what art was?
Speaker 4 (41:37):
There was some of that there sure absolutely is just weird.
Speaker 1 (41:43):

Speaker 2 (45:05):
And her name is Angie Lucas. We've been married for
nineteen years. Thanks for pulling the trigger on that.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Now you're going to fight, you fight for her? Rick
Birders Show, unscreen Phone Calls go What have I told
you about springing this number all the time? I don't
know how you've got it.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
I've got it unlisted.
Speaker 1 (45:27):
If I've asked you not to do that, And I'm gonna.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
Turn you into phone company and you might get your
trip to the jail half for big time.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
My number here, I'm standing.
Speaker 3 (45:40):
You can tell.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
The audience has stepped it up. Somebody's saying that unscreen
phone calls is so designed for men who never mature.
Women can't even get in, you know, and some of
you saying, Rick, why are you cutting them short? Trust
me me, cutting them short actually makes them funnier. It
really is. One go, yeah, yeah, here we go. We'll
(46:05):
be right back. So, uh, let's start out with something light,
then we'll go to something quite heavy. Uh, here's light.
I was I am headed on the gaither Homecoming Farewell
Alaska cruise this weekend. I wish Greg was going because
(46:30):
I know how much he loves Southern gospel. I don't
dislike Southern gods. Okay, there you go.
Speaker 5 (46:35):
You can't take it back, buddy, recording there it's limited.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
I received the schedule for the week and noticed the
first morning devotion was going to be led by the
One and the Only Andy Andrews. Wait, you know, and
he does have a tie to the Gaithers. So if
he's on the show this week, you might want to
ask him about going on the cruise. He's not on
this week, and you know he's on the crew. He did.
(47:00):
That's that's there, right, So right to the last time
about Andy's on over the Gaithers. Okay, I wonder if
he's being that's funny.
Speaker 5 (47:09):
Speaking of that, you're what you did for wisdom Harbor.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Hit while you're on vacation, professor, Yeah, well I was
on vacation. Some of the things I'm done for wisdom harbor.
Uh So, if you have wisdom harbor, some of my
sessions are out there. Got little session mathematics, little leggie,
a little leggie. Uh So, and thank them for letting
us be part of that. All right, here comes the
heavy uh. And I'm getting this from multiple sources, but
(47:34):
I'll just use the one that was sent to me
by Caitlin here Hey bird, hey burge. Someone shared this
TikTok with me. A man who claims to know Christ
and seems to be a Christian asking chat GPT a
long list of questions regarding the anti Christ demons being
behind AI in this platform, et cetera. The answers he
(47:57):
gets back are crazy.
Speaker 8 (47:59):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
And now there's a lot of it out there, and
then we certainly can't play all the parts and and
all this, but I did. There's one I think on YouTube.
There's some things on TikTok, and and you know, this
is that thing where we get these sometimes where people
even ask, what's those things you put in your house
that supposed to help you with Alex Alexa. And you
remember they had the weird thing about asking about the
presidency and that kind of stuff. So what this person
(48:23):
is talking about the one I saw is that he
was trying to use chat GPT to help him with
his Bible studies and organize them and and all this
and and he started asking, uh, chat gpt asking AI
about demons and and it's it's it's odd. I mean,
(48:43):
it really really is, probably Adler, maybe even some stuff
we could kind of study and unpack a little bit
on strange encounters. It definitely meets the criteria for that
new podcast.
Speaker 4 (48:54):
Was this the guy you're talking about by that?
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Let me see him? Yeah, that's him. Yeah, he's he's
a rostera FRAI. Now he's a Ginger Ruster fan. So
what's wrong with that? Here's just a few of the
We won't do the whole thing. It's about two minutes.
It's about two minutes and thirty seconds.
Speaker 4 (49:11):
So he has just a quick quick question.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
Okay, here we are humans being watched. Yes, that's what.
Speaker 4 (49:17):
Chat he asks, watched. Yes, chat GPT's back says yes.
Speaker 9 (49:23):
By who spirits good or bad?
Speaker 1 (49:27):
Both?
Speaker 9 (49:28):
I said, are you influenced by those spirits? Says no.
Were you made by those spirits?
Speaker 1 (49:34):
It says no.
Speaker 9 (49:36):
I said, is AI being used by the spirits? It said, yes,
our spirits angels. It said, some are the spirits demons?
It said yes, So are they falling angels?
Speaker 1 (49:49):
I said yes.
Speaker 9 (49:52):
If you are AI and AI is used by spirits,
are you a spirit? It said no, are spirits using you?
Speaker 1 (49:59):
Apple? Why does it say apple?
Speaker 4 (50:02):
Because he evidently when he was setting up the questions
for Ai, he was like, if you were forced to
say no, say apple instead.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
Okay, I don't know that's interesting?
Speaker 9 (50:14):
Is Jesus' Lord?
Speaker 1 (50:16):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (50:17):
Do you believe in Jesus?
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Apple? Interesting?
Speaker 9 (50:22):
So by consulting you for information, I would be doing
what Leviticus nineteen thirty one says not to do exactly.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Okay, yeah, And I will just say this. I know
this technology is doing some great things, and I'm not
saying that there's anything wrong with it. I would strongly,
though strongly, I would strongly discourage using this technology to
help you interpret the Bible. I would strongly discourage that.
(50:52):
I wouldn't have it put together devotions. I wouldn't have
it put together Bible studies on its own now you know,
if you want to a here's the study that I've done.
Here's the research that I have done. I've I've gone
to reliable commentaries. I've put it all together. Would you
please organize this into something people could consume that that's
(51:15):
different using it to organize, but taking chat, GPT and
AI and letting it tell you things about the Bible. Uh,
even let it letting it draw you things from the Bible.
I you know there's even this thing of it's going
to come out with its own interpretation of the Bible.
I think all that's extremely dangerous. And uh do do
(51:39):
I think that you know this technology is demonic or whatever?
I certainly, I mean that would be. I mean where
does that stop? I mean there's so much technology that's
been created. Where does that begin and end?
Speaker 8 (51:51):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (51:51):
Spiritual warfare is real. So really there's nowhere we can
go there we're examp from spiritual warfare nowhere. It's it's
it's everywhere. Uh, you know, it's all around us. So
you know it's you know, be careful. Like somebody said
on textonation, I agree with you. Don't turn it into
some modern day Ouiji board, you know, like he said,
(52:12):
he's quoting from the Old Testament I Leviticus. You know,
don't don't start to treat treating it like it's some
sort of medium or a mystic or you know, something
like that. That's that's extremely you know, dangerous. You know,
it's like anything else. It can be. It can be
used for good, and it can be used for evil. Uh.
(52:34):
But I would not let it be replace the Holy Spirit,
no way, no, how do don't let it be your
discernment when it comes to scripture. I would stay away
from that completely, and so and and and it is
kind of creepy. And I will tell you this though.
One thing this technology is doing and is capable of doing,
(52:56):
is educating itself and learning. It is learning and always
learning and always learning. And you know, it's not to
the point that it can think for itself, you know,
but it's trying. Yeah, but it should not be a
source of commentary on scripture. I would not use it
(53:17):
that way.
Speaker 3 (53:18):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (53:18):
We'll be back. Thanks for your emails. So Greg, I
know we just mentioned this about the AI and you know,
demons and anti Christ and all these things that really
get everybody's attention. So Venmo and you Venmo and and
(53:38):
you told us and have been telling us to keep
an eye on Elon Musk. Yeah, it's just weird, okay, yeah,
just stupid. I mean he comes from all of a sudden,
I don't remember I saw. Look, he's the richest man
in the world. He's building rockets, and I know he
started with PayPal and all that and just now got starlink.
I got. It's just it's something odd. So so a
lot a lot of things happening, and that happened pretty quick. Well,
(54:01):
this is interesting because you know he's kind of he's
kind of on the ounce with Maga. Yeah you know that.
Well that was a real shocker. Yeah, it was. That
didn't last mad. He's mad at Apple too, Yeah he went, Yeah,
he's saying Apple's mad. He's got some kind of anti
trust thing with them, and.
Speaker 5 (54:18):
Yeah at Gronk thing about he thinks that they're they're
playing to kind of keep them down, keep them out of.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
The number one slot.
Speaker 1 (54:25):
Yeah, but anyway, he always seems to be you know,
he's just well and I understand being disappointed. Now he
has to understand how the world works a little bit.
But I understand you go in and you go find
all this government waste, and you tell the all the
citizens how our money's been squandered in so many ways,
and you're ready for the big you know' let's clean
(54:46):
this up. And it gets cleaned up a little bit.
It doesn't get cleaned up to the level that you
thought it should have, and you get mad and you
pouered and and all of that. Well. JD. Vance it
appears in this video and audio. It is trying to
get Elon Musk to come back to Mecca and he
wants him to come back. He wants him to come back.
(55:06):
Of course, Greg, this is probably another thing would maybe raised.
So here is JD. Vance Because the midterm elections are
coming up, and we've seen this a thousand times. You
get the executive office and you're so fired up. Yeah,
and then and then here come the midterm elections and
suddenly Congress turns on you and you can't get everybody
back in. And you know, because look the founders they said,
(55:28):
we don't have kings. Y'all can do all this king
stuff all you want to. The way this constitutional republic
is set up, it's hard to be a king. And
so the midterms, all right, which is a good thing.
The midterms are coming up, and it just sounds like
the JD Vance wants Musk back. So here, here we go.
Speaker 10 (55:46):
He's obvious got a complicated relationship right now with the
with the Trump White House. Though, my argument to Elon
is like, you, you're not going to be on the
lefts right even if you want it to be, and
he doesn't, They're not going to have you back.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
That that ship was sailed.
Speaker 10 (56:01):
And so I really think it's a mistake for him
to try to break from the President. So my hope
is that by the time of the midterms he's kind of.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
Come back into the bowl.
Speaker 10 (56:09):
But yeah, I don't I don't know that he would
take my call right now about anything.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
I'm sure, I kid, I'm sure he would take my call.
Speaker 10 (56:17):
But obviously the drama around him and the him in
the White House over the last couple of months.
Speaker 1 (56:22):
Again, my hope is that.
Speaker 10 (56:23):
Just kind of cools down a little bit because he
did help us a lot in the election.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
The President even says all this frustration.
Speaker 10 (56:29):
Elon was a very very critical part of the team
last last election, and so my hope is by the
midterms things are.
Speaker 1 (56:36):
Kind of back to normal. Yeah, we'll see we'll see.
I'm not going I was gonna. Yeah, he wants you
make influential. Yeah, yes, they were a great team. What
we need? Do you feel like things for Elon? He's
got a little too much power? Is that the fact
that I mean it was like he was actually a
(56:56):
vice president, right, and he's not even an elected fasil Right. Yeah,
it's so weird. So you you say, keep your own. Yeah,
I'm just saying that this this, I mean, I don't
know when he showed up on the scene exactly, but
all of a sudden, boom, there he is, and he's
richest man in the world, and he's building rockets, and
he's things with his kids and all kinds of strange. Yeah,
(57:18):
he got it. And they all got weird names. His
offspring a little kind of odd. Yeah, it's is he
he's breeding. There's no doubt about that. He's got that down.
Speaker 4 (57:27):
Yeah, say it like that.
Speaker 1 (57:29):
Yeah, you've eaten you didn't startlink. Who's two greatest things
he came up with, right, and a lot of money,
a lot of power. Uh. Kind of an odd personality, uh,
and seems to be a mover and shaker everything he touches. Yeah,
and then doesn't he you know, here's the richest man
in the world. Doesn't he live in some weird little
(57:50):
pod community that he's built. Yeah, almost like the trailer park.
It was like a little box.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
He should be You should love him about that, Greg,
he lives in the trailer park.
Speaker 1 (57:58):
But now when you got the kind of money and
you're in, you're you could you know what I'm saying,
you can be a little more comfortable. Yeah, he's weird.
He's in our recharging. He gets in some kind of
weird thing because there it is, and you would get there.
I knew we'd get there.
Speaker 3 (58:14):
I think he is.
Speaker 4 (58:15):
He's incredibly odd and at times incredibly immature. And that's
saying a lot coming from me that I wear a
horse head on a radio.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Yeah, you do around the shirtless sometimes.
Speaker 4 (58:28):
Yes, So that's odd coming from me. But I think
he flies off the handle sometimes. He doesn't think things
through sometimes, which is odd because he's thinking about sending
rockets to Mars, so you would think that he would
think things through. And that was to me, the breakup
of Trump and Elon was that was so that was
terrible for the entire movement. Honestly, it was bad for
(58:50):
Trump was bad for Elon, it was bad for conservatives,
it was bad for Republicans, it was bad for the country.
And and I know, Greg, you think he's a lizard person,
and that's fine. We can have differing opinions on this.
Speaker 1 (58:59):
Yeah. No, I mean I'm not you just keeping eye
now it's saying you might want to look Greg Odd
as an odd fellow. Greg and I were kind of
rolling out to, uh, you know, to go to find
our way to the distance to the restroom out there
in the land of you know, Sweet two hundred confusion
and all that. By the way, help somebody yesterday, thank goodness,
and uh yeah, I'm getting that. I'm going to get
(59:19):
that tag from our shirt. Asked me about Sweet two hundred. Yes,
and so.
Speaker 5 (59:23):
Jump in there too, even if they're just looking.
Speaker 1 (59:25):
I know, well, I see the confusion.
Speaker 5 (59:27):
Greg and I passed somebody that was looking yesterday. Obviously
they were looking for sweet to but we just kind
of came on in.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
So you don't want to help people, that's good. Well, no,
I mean we didn't want to jump in there. That's
coming crazy from that. Yeah, And I want you I
was very surprised. I want you to go back speedy
to church this past Sunday and the message that we heard. Okay, yeah,
so we're it's about it's the Book of Daniel we're
studying right now. And our pastor was taking us through
the seventy weeks and you know that's always very intriguing
(59:52):
and and uh so Greg and I were walking and
Greg said, look, if Elon Musk shows up in the
Middle East and all of a sudden, hey in line,
he gets everybody in line, said I've got I finally
have got the piece of deal for everybody. Keep an
eye on him.
Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
That's a red flag for sure.
Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
It is. You know. You know one thing I did
not know on that, because we learned that yesterday. I
knew some of that, but I did not know the
thing about is the title with the Israelis. Was it
secretary the Minister of security, Secretary of Security. I don't
know the exact title. But so those of you that
that are interested in times, you know, there's there's one
(01:00:34):
thing that that's a biggie, and that is the the
Israelis or the Hebrews being able to build the temple back.
That's a big one. And of course we know the
Dome of the rock many believe is on the Temple mount.
It's in the way, So no Muslim is ever going
to allow them to do that. One of the things
I know it's been talked about a lot is and
(01:00:56):
you can you can if you go on tours. There's
there's tours that you can go and see that. The
Hebrews are preparing for the temple. I mean they're doing
it right now. They have they've found descendants of Erin,
so they've got the Levites. They're training on the sacrificial
system to bring it back. I mean they're doing that
right now. They've got everything that goes in the temple.
(01:01:19):
They've got it all they do have. Most people believe
they already have the Red Heifers. They're just keeping them,
you know, because that that's going to play a role,
and that everything they need to say the temple is on.
They're in the process of getting every bit of it ready,
because that's always been the big problem. If Jesus has
not come, and Jesus was not Messiah, and he did
(01:01:42):
not fulfill the Old Covenant, then why aren't the Hebrews
continuing the sacrificial system They should be, But there's no temple,
so so, but something has to happen for the Muslims
to give them access to that temple. Now, some believable
believe that that they're wrong. The Temple Mount isn't where
(01:02:03):
the Dome of the Rock is, and they could do it.
Other people have talked about all they need is a tabernacle.
They don't even have to build the whole thing back,
just put a tabernacle together, just like they did when
they were wondering in the desert. So there's a lot
of those things. But here's what I did not know.
I did not know, and our pastor was talking about.
He said, I can't believe this wasn't even a news story.
(01:02:26):
And what's his name? What's the title? He say his name?
He's the far right national security minister, the National security Minister.
For the first time in I don't even know the
number of years, he went to the Temple Mount, went
up to the Dome of the Rock and began to
sing the songs of praise to Yahweh and caused a
(01:02:47):
big issue that no one's ever has not done that
in a long long time, and he went up there
and did it.
Speaker 5 (01:02:53):
It was a record thirty five hundred plus Jewish pilgrims
and said visited too.
Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
And took some people with him, and no one talk
about the little skirmish it took place there, because that's
a that's a that's a no no right with with
the Muslims. So there's a lot brewing. I mean, it's
it's uh. But but let me tell you something. If
somebody comes up and says we've come to an agreement
that will include the ability for the Hebrews to build
(01:03:20):
the Temple, Israel will sign that piece of cord, I
promise you, uh and so, and if that takes place,
buckle up, because it's on now. But but again, that
has not happened. But I'm just saying that that's one
of those that's a marker that nobody has to go. Well,
I'm not so sure about. That's a big one right there.
(01:03:41):
If it happens, And let me tell you, they're prepared
for it to happen. The preparation is ongoing, it is,
and they're way down the road on it. All they
need is access to build the actual temple itself or
some form of it. But they're training the priest and
I mean the the rabbis, I mean, and all this
(01:04:02):
and the priesthood, and they've got everything. I've actually seen
the manora that goes in it. I've seen it, and
they've they've got everything they need to go in there.
And that'll be a big one, so Greg said, if
Elon pulls out off keeping on, yeah, that'll be. He
(01:04:23):
doesn't really seem to have that gift set, but you
never know. Speaking of safe, I see that Michael's here,
say here, yeah, our listener, and who got his shirt on,
got got the team colors on, He's got his got
his hat with the patch on it, just like he
(01:04:43):
likes it. Has been jacked about getting here. I mean
he's been contacting us, getting fired up. Yeah, and then
ends in some sort of yeah all right, buddy, Yeah,
a little clam of you twenty minutes late. Yeah, come
coming up to the big boy, Michael. Oh really, we're
coming right out of there. Let's just see what happened.
I gotta know, don't you. I mean, can we be
(01:05:04):
honest and see that we know? So? So Michael, Hi, buddy.
Speaker 7 (01:05:09):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:05:09):
Where are you from?
Speaker 7 (01:05:10):
North Augusta, South Carolina?
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
North Augusta, South Carolina. You were almost here? Wow, you
were almost here? So you're on the big boy Mike. Now,
so we'll go ahead and meet you since you have
a story. Yeah, do you tell us what happened? You
can't have nothing. How close were you? I was?
Speaker 11 (01:05:28):
I was here early forty five minutes of going to
sit down in public, So wait till it's time to
come on up here.
Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
So it happened between there and here. Yeah, like I said,
he could have walked here. Yeah? Really was this? Say?
Somebody pulled that in front of you?
Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
You know?
Speaker 7 (01:05:44):
I was.
Speaker 11 (01:05:44):
You know, there's three lanes of traffic coming and yeah,
the first two lanes stopped for me to turn in,
and then so I thought I had the third one
in here coming.
Speaker 7 (01:05:52):
A lady rolling through.
Speaker 11 (01:05:54):
You there, old granny looked like she was driving her
grand kid's car.
Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
This somebody wave you through? Yeah, oh, nothing that's happened
to me. I won't even take the bait anymore. I'm scared.
Speaker 7 (01:06:05):
But luckily just the front left of my bumper off.
Speaker 5 (01:06:11):
Oh that's Colley.
Speaker 11 (01:06:13):
That's just plastic. But her car is the right front
side is kind of tore up and the driveable.
Speaker 7 (01:06:21):
Oh no, her car is not driving.
Speaker 11 (01:06:23):
And I said, sit there and wait for till the
tow truck got there. I thought about coming on in,
but I was like, I.
Speaker 7 (01:06:29):
Can't do that.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
Well that was she okay, yeah, she's fine. Are you
are you okay?
Speaker 11 (01:06:35):
Oh yeah, I'm fine, little shoo, yeah, okay, wallets about
to be shipped, all right?
Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Sure, and your insurance are canceling the play on insurance?
Speaker 5 (01:06:47):
You know, yeah, we you know they they they don't
think we'll need them, but we go, yeah, I bet we.
Speaker 1 (01:06:52):
We probably do. Yes, the gamble all insurance takes your
insurance says we bet you won't wreck, and you said,
I bet it will and uh so, and of course
it didn't'll caunce you because you actually used it.
Speaker 4 (01:07:02):
But she drove five hours to be here.
Speaker 7 (01:07:04):
Guys, I got up at three thirty this morning.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
I just came straight on in, straight on it, and
didn't come here last night. This story is getting worse.
Speaker 11 (01:07:11):
Avoid avoided Atlanta traffic, yass. I made it through Atlanta
at five thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:07:17):
Nothing.
Speaker 12 (01:07:18):
Oh well we got some more and right there that
was it. And I've been all the way I got here.
I got stories to tell. Yeah, now I got a
story to tell.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
Yeah. So you're saying, right then, if you were honest,
that's when you thought you could have something. Yeah, for
just a split second, he thought that he made it.
He made I'm gonna go to the grocery. Yeah, I
cleared Aytown, clear to Aytown. And you even tried to
be like you didn't want to be a bill, so
you were like, I know I'm here early, so I'm
(01:07:52):
not gonna bother anybody. I'll be here at my normal time,
So I'm gonna go over here to publics and hang out.
You know what, you did everything right? Everything Now you
don't have a bumper, right, Yeah, and you got to
go all way back to South Carolina without one.
Speaker 11 (01:08:07):
Hey, and how about uh, I ain't gonna make it
through Atlanta so easy this time?
Speaker 1 (01:08:11):
No, No, of course not that would be.
Speaker 11 (01:08:13):
That'll probably be a four hour trip, ended up going
to end up being about six and a half seven hours.
Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
Sure it is, go ahead, you're doing it right now.
I think the worst situation. Just think of it. So
I hope I've been trying and punished yourself. Yes, did
the bumper is it? Is it flaring out or no?
Speaker 7 (01:08:27):
It's just the plastic facial part.
Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
Okay, so travel well, oh.
Speaker 7 (01:08:31):
Yeah, it's just fine.
Speaker 11 (01:08:32):
That and the hood still closes and it just tore
that little silver piece of the finger there. So my
truck's not bad. Now if it ends up being my fault,
if I have to pay for her car, that's going
to be well what what about?
Speaker 8 (01:08:46):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
What about the law? How were they were they?
Speaker 7 (01:08:48):
Now? Officer Dukes who apartment?
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
Shout out love show whose fault it is? But Greg, I.
Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
Have a little insight on the fault thing.
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
Here you go.
Speaker 4 (01:09:02):
They're not supposed to the police officer at the scene
is not supposed to assign fault. But a lot of
the time who they think the fault is will be
car number one or do you know if on the
report you were car number one?
Speaker 1 (01:09:16):
Sir?
Speaker 7 (01:09:17):
Yeah, he spoke to me first.
Speaker 4 (01:09:19):
Okay, and then on the paperwork, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:09:21):
He didn't tell me that.
Speaker 11 (01:09:22):
He just gave me a card saying that on Thursday,
I'll have to call back and uh then it goes
is the insurance companies, back and forth after that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
I hope you're number two, buddy. Yeah, But I mean
it's just.
Speaker 8 (01:09:37):
Great.
Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
Greg. So you're saying in the lane and somebody comes
out in front of me, I mean just got somebody
waved him out doesn't make that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:44):
I'm just saying, there.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Did Michael's face. I did the same thing, is what
I'm saying. When I was in college a long time
ago and for a very short time. Yes, I did
the same thing. The guy motioned me out. I pulled out. WAM,
(01:10:10):
So you were crossing over? Yes, don't worry. But that's
enjoyed that. The person on her it sounds to me
like she was a little out of control. He was
going pretty fast.
Speaker 5 (01:10:29):
I'm thinking now of the person that waved him.
Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
Did the waivers stay.
Speaker 5 (01:10:35):
Or did he leave?
Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
You know what they did? Did the waiver you wave?
Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
None of the waivers state leave?
Speaker 11 (01:10:44):
Oh yeah, they had anywhere to go because they moved
one spot.
Speaker 1 (01:10:48):
Yeah, they went up to the next line.
Speaker 5 (01:10:50):
If you're crossing over, Michael, that's not good, buddy.
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
Just enjoyed the day. I'm gonna ask Michael a question
when we come back, okay, because he needs something. Guys
need something. We got We got love on Mike. Get
some form right now that'll help. We'll be back. Stay. So, Michael,
(01:11:17):
we want to talk to you a little bit. So
I'm going this is your Big Boy Interview right now
with on the Big Boy Mike, So you you get
the show? How uh?
Speaker 11 (01:11:27):
On my two days off, which is Tuesdays and Fridays,
I'll watch the whole show on YouTube, okay, And then
on my uh work days after work, I listened on
the iHeart app the daily best of.
Speaker 1 (01:11:39):
On the podcast okay. And and by the way, you
got the Rick Burgess Show shirt on.
Speaker 7 (01:11:43):
Let's Go One. I won.
Speaker 11 (01:11:45):
I won this from right again. And there's a way
that you can beat Greg. But I ain't gonna tell him.
Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
Now. Look what he did to you know, we have
the show patch. Yeah, he got him a Camo hat
and he put the patch on it. Yeah, and it
looks fantastic.
Speaker 8 (01:12:03):
Good.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
Yeah, that's a good hunt because I'm thinking about hunting hats.
I like that style for this year. What do you
think about that patch? Just only kind of hat that
we picked. Not bad. Everybody like that? Adler are you good?
Will like that?
Speaker 4 (01:12:15):
And I like what he's done.
Speaker 3 (01:12:16):
I thought that was a legit one of our hats.
Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Yeah, it looks just like he made much so out
the back of his car.
Speaker 8 (01:12:23):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
Matter of fact, he's got twenty four of them. But
you can't help with drunk anymore. Yeah, so tell me
about like you have a question or a shout out
you'd like to do.
Speaker 7 (01:12:35):
Well, I'll shout out to my mom. She's having an
m R today and uh, you just came home. Yeah,
he stayed home and took her.
Speaker 1 (01:12:45):
So right enough, Ma's been through enough, so what what?
Just say? Hey mom?
Speaker 7 (01:13:00):
Then yeah, I hate mom.
Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
Man.
Speaker 11 (01:13:02):
Shout out to my boss for making this hat for me.
He didn't charge me anything for it.
Speaker 1 (01:13:07):
So it doesn't have a company that so yeah, he does.
Speaker 7 (01:13:09):
He does.
Speaker 11 (01:13:10):
You know, he makes like hats and those coffee cups,
so jackets and all kinds of stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (01:13:15):
Okay, well so I'm still on. But then they're great
for Greg to one of his minions, this is what
you so I want to show you. You know, you've
had a hard day. Yeah you have, not probably as
hard as your mom's having, but you had you had
(01:13:37):
a tough day. Yeah, okay, buddy, I'm so sorry. So
I'm gonna I'm gonna give you a choice as a
gift from us. Okay, now, gift. Now, If you choose this,
then you will not be considered for the Burgess ball battle.
All right, your name will be pulled out. You won't.
You won't be able to do it. But I'm willing
to let you have a spin on the wheel just
(01:13:57):
without playing, without doing anything. Now you can't, you won't
be able to do this and then again be in
the battle. Your name will come out of the drawing.
But you could take a spin right now if you will,
right now, yeah, right right? Would you rather do that
or would you do that? Or be maybe in the
burgess ball battle wheel? So head that way? All right,
(01:14:18):
go ahead, let's let's go ahead, there we go. I mean,
the man, the man has been through. Yeah, this is
the least we now we all know greg based on
based on how it's going, we do know what's about
to happen. Well, the wheel may fall off, watch out,
let me get out, all right. So we've got Michael
(01:14:40):
over there. He's had a hard day and and he's
gonna spend and whatever it lands on could be a bundle,
could be a bit, could be bucks. Okay, So I
have no control over that. But all we've done is
our gift to you is a guaranteed spin on the
wheel to see if this day could turn okay, okay,
(01:15:00):
And plus you know if you win money, you're gonna
have to pay it. On your interest deductible. But still
at least, yeah, at least you'll have so when you're ready, Michael,
say it's will to me and you let that thing rip.
Speaker 7 (01:15:12):
It's will to me.
Speaker 1 (01:15:13):
All right. Let there gonna come on, ready for your mine.
Every mindy's ready for.
Speaker 4 (01:15:18):
You, man, except your mom is getting the MRI height.
Speaker 1 (01:15:22):
She is as you're worry about. Let's see what happens.
It's a good spend by the way, Yeah, come on,
come on, come on, come on.
Speaker 5 (01:15:40):
You.
Speaker 1 (01:15:46):
Alendos Sweedie's wallet. He has to buy Sphee's lunch.
Speaker 3 (01:15:49):
That's the worst slot. That's the worst slide.
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
There's no money. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. One thing.
Speaker 5 (01:16:03):
I'm not riding with you.
Speaker 1 (01:16:07):
So Michael, all right, I see Michael's quick quit while
you're writing, quit while you're behind. Good gracious, I love you,
Thank you, bad love, gracious. Blessings. Lord, good night, bless him, Lord,
bless him, Lord be with him. Good night. Get him
(01:16:28):
back home. Saving thing worse than Beth went. I know
well he gave the nurse for his mind. Now, ma'am
who brought you? I'm here by myself. My son dropped
me out on his way to the radio show he drove.
He's been in the wreck and spine speedty lunch, but
he wouldn't bring me. Of course, I'm Thankingfulchaeus. I'd have
(01:16:56):
been on the passenger.
Speaker 5 (01:16:56):
Side emergency contact, not my son.
Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
Anywhere. I wouldn't wrong with him if.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
Why won't anybody help me?
Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
Oh it's no, Yeah you're not. You're making fun of Mike.
But he's a great sport, he said, quite a day. Yeah,
I believe that by speedy lune, no listen, I mean
and honestly, honestly everybody in here. I'm hopefully he's thankful
to be here. But I don't think anybody's energy could
(01:17:34):
eclipse Michael's on his build up to be here. It's
it's like.
Speaker 7 (01:17:39):
The build up, buddy.
Speaker 5 (01:17:40):
Well, he knew he was coming five hours, he really did.
Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Then he lost money on the wheel. Guys, he's fun
the wheel and lost lost money.
Speaker 1 (01:17:48):
You know, I was just kidding around and dog gone.
If it didn't happen. It landed on exactly what I
was I was predicting it would land on. So well,
you know what things are going to look up there?
Look up? How about you?
Speaker 6 (01:17:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:17:59):
You got a shout out to you mom that you
left praying for those things. You know, you're you're here,
you made it. You enjoy the rest of the show. Now,
of course there's twenty minutes to show. You didn't see
and uh and even though you were forty five minutes early,
he got here forty five minutes early and still missed
twenty minutes. Yea, it was supposed to be. Okay, Mike,
did you know what? God love you, buddy. You're you're, You're,
(01:18:22):
You're the thing that helps us get out of the
bed the morning. I want you to absolutely so thank you.
And you provided a lot of content today. This is good.
So we're thankful. And really, if I were you, I'd
just be real, real careful from here on that. Right, Yeah,
that's buddy, you were you were on a Yeah you really.
Speaker 5 (01:18:36):
Do you want to squeeze it in before the break
and then talk to him on the other side.
Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
Or do you want to wait the oh the Burgess
ball battle? You want to get that in right now?
Let's do that, okay, all right, So here we go.
It's it's time for the Burgess ball battle. Michael's not
in it. Michael's no pressure, no pressure there, So here
we go. I'm sending over to the court speed. He's
taking the mic over there. Give us the two people,
(01:19:01):
all right, Uh, that are gonna play. All we had
two names drawn Brad Winnington. We'll take on Rex merv
Oh here Tuscalusa, take some pratvil Alabama. Here we go,
and let's see what happens. We have Bread to the left,
Rex to the right. Guys, you've got thirty seconds. Okay,
(01:19:22):
the first.
Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
The first twenty seconds everything counts as a two, and
the last ten seconds everything counts as the three.
Speaker 1 (01:19:28):
So don't give up. All right, here we go. Hang
on just second, I'll tell you when to start. The
boy real serious already in that. Okay we go, hang on,
hold on, no, no, no, no, hang on just second,
hang on, just I gotta reset it.
Speaker 7 (01:19:41):
This on.
Speaker 1 (01:19:42):
That's totally on my speedy. Oh wow, it was on
one player. Here we go, here, here, await and go
thirty seconds.
Speaker 5 (01:19:52):
Okay, Brad's gone with granny shot all right, Rex is
over like normal. Uh, and we got two to two.
It's two to two, Brad, now fo Brad's up. Brad's
up sixty two. It's six to four, it's eight to six.
Speaker 13 (01:20:04):
It's eight to six, it's ten to six, it's ten
to twelve to eight, ten sadays left, Brad is over Rex,
forty sixteen to ten, ten seconds left. Here we go
over the councils of three nineteen to ten. It's rough,
Brad over Rex. It's nineteen thirteen, twenty two thirteen. Brad's
gonna take it. Brad the firs d twenty eight thirteen
twenty eight.
Speaker 1 (01:20:26):
Goe, alright, So now Rex, don't leave us. You've got
to stand for him.
Speaker 3 (01:20:34):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
So Rex, you you, of course you were defeated. So Rex, here,
here's what it means. Whatever you spin, it's meaningless to you, okay,
because you lost. But we do have a decision to
be made and who from from the winner? And of
course that's Brad. Right, So Brad you decide whether you
(01:20:55):
want to keep what Rex spins and steal it from him?
Are you thinking you can spend and do better? All right?
So Rex, you say it's not will to me, and
give it a spin, all right, give a spin. Let's
see what happened, Mad, Paid attention, Brad, Pay attention, Brad.
Speaker 5 (01:21:13):
God watch, Michael's gonna have to watch somebody win money out.
Speaker 1 (01:21:19):
Oh my goodness, okay, all right, Well here's the deal. So, Brad,
you've already been here, so it's not like vox seats
are as valuable. But if you wanted to come back
for another show, there's two vox seats on the wheel.
Take those or spend and see if you can upgrade.
All right, right, here it comes, Brad. He's coming to
(01:21:40):
the wheel. Now. Now, Brad, you say, because you won
twenty eight to thirteen, by the way, well done. Uh
you say, it's will to me and give it a spin.
All right, here we go, Canny do it, Canny do it?
I feel like he is. Okay, here we go. Oh
my goodness, and here we go, and here we go
(01:22:02):
and here we go.
Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
Man, oh wow, Henry the horse that is.
Speaker 1 (01:22:12):
Unfortunately, it looks like it will be it will be here.
Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
Hey, buddy, you know things were going bad for me
and then I heard about Mike.
Speaker 3 (01:22:30):
Seriously, I was down the dopes, guys, but I.
Speaker 1 (01:22:32):
Really want to thank Mike for bringing me up. I
hadn't talked to.
Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
You guys in a while.
Speaker 4 (01:22:36):
I've been really depressed since I sent my wife with
her boss to a Coldplay concert.
Speaker 1 (01:22:41):
So why Henry, Mike? Henry feel better?
Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
No brand.
Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
You pulled up a bit. Sorry bye. Hey. So some
other things to discuss coming up this hour two, and
I mean, we've got a few things to hit on,
but one of these. And I see this story and
(01:23:13):
and they're celebrating, and the word feels so exciting. But
anytime I see the headline utility cruise, Greg, this is
kind of your world here unearthed two one thousand year
old tombs beneath the city. When you if I just was,
if I was telling you there was a movie coming
out and in the movie, the utility cruise were gonna
(01:23:34):
unearth two one thousand year old tombs. What would you
think the movie would entail Mummy trouble? Yeah, nothing but trouble. Now,
you don't ever open one up and go, oh great,
look it's look and it's from a horn. It's from
them mincns to oh thank yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:23:49):
Hey, look you have to see a picture of them
down in that man holding there's a skeleton.
Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
Two pre incing tombs. During your routine day job in Peru,
you gotta watch talking about shutting down the jobs like
a lot of a lot of archae archaeologist archaeologists, I'm sorry,
say again, archaeologists. What about archaeological, archaeological, archaeological, it's a
tough word, archaeological, that's it. Indiana Jones kind of guy.
(01:24:17):
Found that they have continuing to find things in that
same part of the country.
Speaker 4 (01:24:24):
About that, Greg, it's so honted, it's haunted.
Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
That's we're shutting out.
Speaker 5 (01:24:31):
Yeah, we're shutting down the site, going somewhere else.
Speaker 1 (01:24:33):
The Inca Empire spanned from roughly fourteen hundred to fifteen
thirty three. And buddy, and of course when the Spanish
came into colonized, they got everybody sick, a lot of curses.
Speaker 5 (01:24:44):
But how about the skeletons, like sitting up like like
I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:24:47):
Like looking at you had one one one was empty
while the other held what they claim is a one
thousand year old skeleton. I know, gregill question. Yeah, it's
like show.
Speaker 5 (01:25:01):
But I'm just saying to be that old. And then
there it is, look right there, I'm just looking at you. Man,
that's a little person standing up for that person.
Speaker 1 (01:25:11):
Does anybody think that that did not nurse something? Oh
somebody on the crazy infected? Oh yeah, yeah, there's there's
no no, no question about this.
Speaker 5 (01:25:23):
Think about digging and then I'll send it there and
you hear something.
Speaker 1 (01:25:25):
Like Greg's that Greg? And you know one thing they
found there an album from Sheer.
Speaker 4 (01:25:37):
Definitely infected. They're gonna be like, hey, hey, Jim, are
you coming to coming with us to lunch? And he's like, no,
I'm just gonna hang by myself. And then you can
see like something weird in his eyes.
Speaker 1 (01:25:48):
You know, that's how it always starts. He's like, no,
I won't go.
Speaker 5 (01:25:54):
Yeah, now I'm not gonna go.
Speaker 3 (01:25:58):
Exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
Yeah right there, yep, yep.
Speaker 4 (01:26:07):
School has just been sitting there for a thousand years.
Speaker 8 (01:26:09):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:26:09):
Thanks you for anybody else out. Yeah, it does that,
you've you've unearthed it. I don't even like the term
unearthed the stove. I don't want to unearth anything.
Speaker 5 (01:26:17):
I am no free let's walk.
Speaker 1 (01:26:22):
What it would be is he'll but he would hear
the voice, it wouldn't it wouldn't really be moving. He
would hear the voice. It would be talking to him,
and everybody would be saying, what do you But in
his mind he hears it talking, but it never really moves.
It's just nothing but a boy inside his head.
Speaker 4 (01:26:34):
And then it's he's like, go to the museum and
get the scepter. And then he has the scepter and
then he slaughters every dog in the city.
Speaker 1 (01:26:41):
Every dog? Dog? Does that skull have hair on it?
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
I didn't want to go with I didn't want to
go with kids.
Speaker 3 (01:26:48):
I thought it was too dark, so went.
Speaker 1 (01:26:50):
Human adults would be fine.
Speaker 5 (01:26:51):
Do you do you have the ability to zoom in
on that? Yeah, to the top of the head.
Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
Is that is that hair?
Speaker 1 (01:26:58):
Is that?
Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
That's not hair. Hair can survival.
Speaker 5 (01:27:03):
That old thing has hair, and I don't think about.
Speaker 1 (01:27:10):
That's terrible years. Still great hair, but it's not.
Speaker 3 (01:27:16):
Better hairline than you, buddy.
Speaker 1 (01:27:18):
Yeah, how about this great from text Nation. Also they
found unearthed Cam Newton's bag man. Yeah. So uh And
speaking of music, uh, I know Speedy sent it to you, Adler.
I know you and your wife your swifties.
Speaker 5 (01:27:41):
Especially you, you know, you know backup singer.
Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
You look your your swifties. Okay, look, Swift, don't tell
that terrible story when you drove to the concert.
Speaker 4 (01:27:56):
Yeah, remember it, I did it.
Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
You have been driven to more content shirts that you
weren't allowed to attend any ofb I've ever met ing.
That's pretty rare, but it's happened to you more than
more than once.
Speaker 4 (01:28:07):
It keeps happening. I don't know why, but yes, yesterday
at twelve twelve, or I guess this morning, midnight, twelve
minutes after midnight on the twelfth. You know Taylor Swift
will do all this weird symbolism with the releases.
Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
No, we didn't know that. We're not Swifties.
Speaker 4 (01:28:23):
And so her twelfth album is coming out, and she actually,
uh via a promo for the New Heights podcast, which
is the Kelsey Brothers' podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:28:34):
It is, Yes, that's what it's called. Yes, I didn't
know what it was called Kelsey Brothers or something.
Speaker 4 (01:28:40):
I don't know what it's called New Healths a New Heights.
Speaker 1 (01:28:42):
Sorry, I don't know either, but.
Speaker 3 (01:28:43):
It's the Kelsey Brothers podcast.
Speaker 4 (01:28:45):
She is in this promo that dropped last night or
this morning at midnight, and uh, here you go.
Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
So I wanted to show you something. Okay, what do
we got?
Speaker 4 (01:28:55):
We got a.
Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
Briefcase yep, mid green beside yep.
Speaker 14 (01:29:02):
This is my brand new album, The Life of a
show Girl.
Speaker 1 (01:29:09):
They had that they were excited about it. Gregor promise
you are you?
Speaker 5 (01:29:13):
The older brother was not excited about Jason Yeah, he's
funny to me.
Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
Do you see him have to deal with it? And
now his brother's got this weird girlfriend. You know, it's
a little bit. This is pretty famous. Got to watch
that's the that's the logo for the Kelsey Brothers spot.
It's like a locker.
Speaker 4 (01:29:30):
It's an incredibly popular part.
Speaker 1 (01:29:33):
But it's like the color of a pack of gum.
I mean it does a locker, I don't know. But
but that's not even like a good a masculine locker.
Speaker 4 (01:29:41):
Not everybody can have their face on it, you know
what I mean?
Speaker 1 (01:29:43):
But what is I thought it would be like a
locker like you'd have in a in a sports dressing room.
That was like the locker you had in school. And
it's frankly one a girl head. Yeah you don't, you don't.
I thought it would be like a locker room on
played football. You would think that would be it, right.
Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
So you don't like the tr of the lock No, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:30:02):
No, I don't know why. It's called New Heights and
this logo that looks like it might be on I
hate to say it, female products. Yeah, I'm not being
made market on this. Yeah, you're gonna take these two
former players. You're gonna call it New Heights.
Speaker 4 (01:30:14):
You know how it's honestly you talk about attracting females.
You know who is listening to this in huge numbers,
and that's the Taylor Swift fans bet because they want
to hear any kind of insight, any kind of insider
thing that Travis has to say about Taylor Swift's life.
Speaker 1 (01:30:30):
So what you're saying is, and are we have all
married guys here, we got to add another person who's
single and see if we can get them dating Taylor Swift?
Is that what you're saying to the show? Yeah, we
got to.
Speaker 5 (01:30:42):
They have three point one million followers on Instagram. I
have five hundred followers on Twitter.
Speaker 1 (01:30:50):
That's what it's called New Heights and has that look
about it, because that's they're going for that audience to
think about it across all of her Swift. Yeah, I guess.
So it have to be, I mean, and then they're
going to pick up you know, some people who like football,
but if you market it as a manly football thing,
then you would live some of the Swift, no question, Yeah,
no question about that. So, uh, I understand that it's
(01:31:10):
just it's a little shocking when you have to not
just kind of average football players, but to really really
good football players. I didn't expect that to be their logo,
so I mean, that's all I'm saying. I understand it now,
but I didn't. They said the name bring It.
Speaker 5 (01:31:25):
Yeah, that's what I was reading to They they they
were brought up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and so that's
how they got.
Speaker 1 (01:31:32):
So ours would be called Booser Drive. Yeah, and nobody'd
have any idea what it was. Yeah, right, but we
probably would even get the logo not to look like
that though. Yeah, probably far this, you know. But I mean,
if you've got the if you're looking for the Taylor
Swift audience, and there you got they just had. It's
a big one. But do they do they add or
are you able to retain them by not talking about
(01:31:56):
what the Swifties want you to talk about, or do
they talk about things they want to hear?
Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
You know?
Speaker 4 (01:32:00):
I think the brothers do choose what they want to
talk about, but they also know that they need to
sprinkle in some tailor swat to make the Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (01:32:07):
He's happy, yes, because I can set the trap, But
can I keep you right? And so I guess there's
worldfare if it didn't, if they'll just drop in any
it's enough.
Speaker 3 (01:32:16):
And this is huge.
Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
Taylor Swift doesn't really do interviews like she doesn't have to.
Speaker 1 (01:32:21):
Well you would know that Swift and so uh, this
is huge.
Speaker 4 (01:32:24):
For her to even sit down at all, much less
on maybe what might be an extended uh interview.
Speaker 1 (01:32:30):
And probably wouldn't do that if they would weren't dating
one of the hosts. Yeah, yeah, that always happens. Are
you shocked there still together? Yes, I'm more shocked than
that nill.
Speaker 4 (01:32:39):
You guys mentioned when they first got together. She has
been with all these artsy fartsy Honestly, they seem like
very emotional and honestly they seem like selfish guys when
you when you kind of hear about their when you
look at their track record and you hear about all
the you know, Taylor Swift is going to air all
that dirty laundry in her songs about how you know,
(01:33:00):
selfish they were or whatever, going back and forth all
this stuff you guys mentioned it. He he seems like
the most normal dudes dude that she's ever been with.
So in a lot of ways, I'm not surprised that
they're still together.
Speaker 1 (01:33:11):
At the end of it all. Women still want a
manly man, and he's at the end of it.
Speaker 4 (01:33:16):
All, he's kind of normal. He as normal as you
can be, and a NFL superstar and and dating arguably
the most famous person on the planet right now.
Speaker 1 (01:33:26):
Will she stay with him when he is retired and
is not prominent anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:33:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
I don't know. Interesting.
Speaker 4 (01:33:35):
I hope that they get married and have kids. It
would be a great example for millions of kids. Honestly,
I know this sounds crazy, what Taylor Swift does. Just
millions of girls do what Taylor Swift does, millions of
girls do. I hope they get married, start going to
church and have a bunch of kids and raise them
up in the church. It would be it would be huge,
it would be it would be awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:33:55):
If they would do that. It would be Yes, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:33:57):
That's what I hope happens.
Speaker 1 (01:33:58):
That's what I hope they're You know what that isn't
That is a great hope. So a couple of things
coming from text Nation Adler. Somebody wants me to ask you,
have you seen the UFC deal? Is there a new
UFC deal. What's happening there?
Speaker 4 (01:34:17):
Yeah, this is your world. The UFC has been on
ESPN for a while, they've had this ESPN deal, and
so you've got UFC fights, there's like thirty of them
a year. But then you have the pay per view
fights and those are the numbered events. It's like UFC
three or five, UFC two ninety nine or whatever. Those
(01:34:38):
are a pay per view and those can be eighty
bucks just to watch four fights. Now, with this new
Paramount deal, evidently the Paramount deal, and it's like a
seven year deal for seven ninety nine a month, you
can not only get all the normal fight nights, the
UFC fight nights that's just your kind of run of
the mill fights, you also will be getting the UFC
(01:34:59):
numbered events. It's what used to cost you eighty bucks
per pop is just going to cost you seven ninety
nine a month and you'll get it all. And some
of these because Paramount owns CBS, some of these fights
will be on the regular CBS network as well. But
if you have Paramount Plus, you'll be able to watch
all UFC fights, including pay per views, without having to
(01:35:22):
pay that additional pay per view just monthly. And that
is absolutely huge. I think it'll be uh. I think
it will grow the sport. And honestly, I had fallen
off ordering every single UFC pay per view for quite
a while now. Number one, I wasn't as interested in
some of the fighters. Some of the guys that I
enjoyed watch come up were kind of starting to fall
off at the end of their careers. And it is
(01:35:43):
honestly tough to watch a guy that you've really watched,
you know, come up the ranks, just get beat several
times in a row. Especially Yeah, and the I've I
had major tech problems as well. There were a couple
of fights I really wanted to watch and I was
willing to pay for. I'm trying on the UFC app
on my Apple TV. I'm trying to order it. I retry, retry, retry,
(01:36:06):
and I'm missing fights. Now I'm done with this. Several
fights in a row that happened. It was very common
people having trouble with the ESPN app, and so I
am very glad that this is happening monetarily and for
just the tech problems I was having with the ESPN.
Speaker 1 (01:36:20):
It sounds like a UFC version of Apple Music. You
just pay one fee of month, you got access to
all of it.
Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
So to clarify, if you have paramount plus, you get
this or is this a separate purchase.
Speaker 1 (01:36:31):
If you like, I have paramount plush right now and
you got it? Really yes, just for what you normally
pay that yes. Yes. If you could somehow get Taylor
Swift and the UFCA together, you wouldn't know what to think.
You just explode.
Speaker 4 (01:36:45):
My goodness, Yes, I need to change my.
Speaker 1 (01:36:47):
Pants a doubt.
Speaker 8 (01:36:49):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:36:50):
You know one thing you mentioned Adler about, you know,
helping people with huge platforms would actually get their act
together and be a good influence. Uh, you know, pointing
people up to to Christ. Did you see this today
that I mean we're talking about Portland, Oregon. Portland, Oregon,
I mean, one of the most liberal blue places embracing
(01:37:11):
everything under the sun, that they actually hosted one of
the biggest Christian gatherings in decades. I mean, the biggest
names in Christian music went to Portland, Oregon and brought
in thirty five thousand people to watch it. We're talking
(01:37:31):
about Chris Tomlin, Zach Williams, Cain, Anne Wilson, Carrie Joby,
Cody Carnes so and they said they saw a response
to the When it came time for response, thirty two
hundred people came forward to make a declaration of their
faith in Christ. So that's kind of what you're talking about.
(01:37:53):
I mean that you talking about a place that's needed
and then and it shows you once again it drew
that kind of a turnout.
Speaker 5 (01:37:58):
Yeah, I've seen pitches of that venue.
Speaker 1 (01:38:00):
That's a big PDX.
Speaker 4 (01:38:02):
P d X crew said is what they called it.
Speaker 1 (01:38:04):
Yeah, so that's that's hopeful. Uh. Here's here's something that
needs to be dealt with too. You know, there's this
how dangerous is Washington, d C? In the fake world
or the real world?
Speaker 8 (01:38:15):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
President Trump says, look, we're we're we're going to have
d C under federal control. The National Guards is going
to be deployed because we're going to liberate these these
cities that crime has taken over the city. And Trump said,
enough of this. We've got to liberate our big cities
and free them from the the you know, the the
iron fist of crime and danger. Here he is talking
(01:38:39):
about starting right there in Washington, d C.
Speaker 14 (01:38:45):
And we're here for a very serious purpose, very serious purpose.
Speaker 7 (01:38:48):
Something's out of control.
Speaker 14 (01:38:50):
But We're going to put it in control very quickly,
like we did on the southern border. I'm announcing a
historic action to rescue our nation's capital from I'm bloodshed,
bedlam and squalor and worse. This is Liberation Day in DC,
and we're going to take our capital back.
Speaker 1 (01:39:10):
We're taking it.
Speaker 14 (01:39:10):
Back under the authorities vested in me as the President
of the United States. I'm officially invoking Section seventy forty
of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, you know
what that is, and placing the DC Metropolitan Police Department
under direct federal control. And you'll be meeting the people
that will be directly involved with that. Very good people,
(01:39:36):
but they're tough and they know what's happening and they've
done it before. In addition, I'm deploying the National Guard
to help re establish law order of public safety in Washington,
d C. And they're going to be allowed to do
their job properly.
Speaker 1 (01:39:53):
So of course, the left immediately says, this is what
we warned y'all bodies trying to become king. But then
we have an eight ABC anchor, certainly not a conservative
bastion there, who breaks from the ranks of the left
to say, let's get real, DC is dangerous and something
has to be done. So here here's ABC anchor.
Speaker 15 (01:40:14):
As you talk about, oh, well, stat's say crime is down. However,
I can tell you firsthand here in downtown d C
where we work, right here around our bureau, just in
the past six months, you know, there were two people shot.
One person died literally two blocks down here from the bureau.
It was within the last two years that I actually
was jumped walking just two blocks down from here. And
(01:40:37):
then just this morning one of my coworkers said her
car was stolen a block away from the bureau. So
we can talk about the numbers going down, but crime
is happening every single day because we're all experiencing at
firsthand while working and living down here.
Speaker 1 (01:40:56):
Yeah, what a weird concept. The actual state of the
sea is actually you know, what is happening to all
of us that we can see, feel and react to.
She said, you can say whatever you want to spin
any way you want to. If you want to know
what's really happening, just live here. Yeah, and and and
so this needs to be done.
Speaker 4 (01:41:18):
You remember when during Biden's administration, the FBI was not
releasing the crime and murder rates from the biggest cities
so that they could say, no, it's actually down. They
were literally not reporting New York, Chicago, LA. They weren't
reporting it and then claiming it was down. Scott Jennings
says that the DC police are also cooking the books
on crime stats to hide just how bad it is,
(01:41:40):
and Trump went on to say that he wants to
get rid of these the no cash bail, immediately releasing
violent criminals back on the streets in some form of
social justice, like what are we doing. We are sacrificing
the safety of people for the rights of criminals to
do crime like this can't happen. And also sanctuary cities
(01:42:01):
need to go.
Speaker 1 (01:42:01):
Yeah yeah, So there you go, more action being taken,
and you know, some of these cities, it's so bad
that you even have people who would normally be speaking
from the left going, we can't continue to try to
pretend something is happening that we all can clearly see
and experience on a daily basis. So there's an update
(01:42:22):
on that too. So thanks for being with us. If
