Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to the solid verbal holle. For me, I'm a man,
I'm forty.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I've heard so many players say, well, I want to
be happy.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
You want to be happy for day Edo State?

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Whoo whoo? And no Dan and tie Dan Rubinstein. We
called it screw it Saturday when we did our preview
on the Thursday episode. We had some teams assert themselves
in week eleven. We had others escape. We had others
who did quite literally screw things up for themselves. There's

(00:35):
also the story of our one true god, TJ. Latif
of Nebraska, who came in now that Dilan Royola is
out for the year, and started what ten of ten
in this game against end three.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Touchdowns and seventy yards Yeah, I think a couple long
touchdowns to Emma Johnson, who was having a terrific all
performance all purpose night. I have not watched a single
second of this yet, so I look forward to watching
this and speaking about it more on the Monday Tuesday
look Ahead Slash Extra Thoughts episode.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I've got it on in the background here. I'll keep
you posting if there is anything significant Nebraska leeds right now.
Welcome back, one and all. I'm ty he is Dan.
Week eleven is just about in the books, got a
couple of games still going on, but we do have
a lot to discuss. It was not one of these
weeks that we looked at in advance and said, Aha,

(01:27):
look at all these games, it's gonna be crazy. We
did not say that. There were a couple that we
were very excited about that we talked about in great detail,
But like a bunch of weeks throughout the course of
a college football season, we found ourselves just sort of
sitting back and waiting, Yes, let's see what happens. Let's
see how these things break. And we have a lot

(01:50):
to discuss on this episode. So if you are new here,
hit follow, hit subscribe. Of course we would love to
have you with us the rest of the season and
really every episode we do moving forward. Go to for
Bowlers dot com if you want these episodes a little
bit early and without the ads, and of course if
you want to vote in the new Verbowler Top twelve pole,
which is going to get posted out on the Patreon

(02:12):
at seven a m. Eastern time. Dan, one of the
things that kept bouncing around in my head, and we
could talk about this throughout the course of the next
hour or so, is the teams that I would like
to be after week eleven, now that we know what
transpired in week eleven, the teams that I would want
to be would want to root for, just given circumstances

(02:34):
and schedules and the ways that I think some of
these conference races could shake out moving forward. But what
was your big broad takeaway from what you saw in
week eleven before we start diving into games.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
That it's possible for a quarterback who leads his team
in attempts to throw for two feet per attempt, as
Wisconsin's leading passer did in the stormy, stormy evening in Madison, Wisconsin,
in a winning effort. So Carter Smith threw four zero

(03:09):
point seven yards, and my rudimentary math is that that's
two sandwiches worth per attempt, two foot long subs. That
anything is possible, and screw it Saturday, that Yukon can
beat Duke and have it not affect the ACC race
at all. Of course, because it is a non conference matchup,
that we can have LSU looking frisky after firing a coach,

(03:29):
Auburn looking frisky after firing a coach.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Across this great.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Land you know Louisville beats Miami goes down to callen overtime.
That November is our chaotic month of the sport. And
frequently we get like the first playoff rankings that come out,
and people are like, well, here's the path for this team.
Here's what's going to happen when all these teams are
eleven and one, And every year we have to say

(03:56):
the same thing, which is just relax. Everybody's gonna eat
each other. It's great, and the feast has begun, Tyler,
The feast has begun, by the way you bring up
the Wisconsin win. Yeah, I am starting to believe, genuinely,
and it has taken me a while to get to
this point. Maybe I'm just spending too much time down

(04:19):
here in the basement talking to myself, talking to these walls,
talking to you. Likely, true, I am legitimately starting to
believe that I can influence the outcome of football games.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Okay, Like I tested it out this week to see
if I could jink so Ore again, and I did
because they didn't cover. We got an application to jinks
Washington and they lost outright to Wisconsin. I posted picks
out on Twitter or x the everything app whatever we're
calling it these days, right zhero to four on all
of those picks. It could just be that I am

(04:54):
starting to master the dark arts of the jinks that
truly it has taken me a lifetime to get to
this point, But truly it could be profitable if in
fact this is a continuing trend. So we're going to
keep doing it. No, I'm not going to jinx Notre
Dame next week against Pitt. We've had a couple requests
for that. I am not doing that to myself. But
if you have other teams that you would like me

(05:15):
to attempt this on, or if you've got a bet
or something sobverbal at gmail dot com, I'm now accepting applications.
You do need to make a donation to Locks of Love. Yes,
but it actually it worked. It actually worked in Wisconsin one. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I mean, look, we're in the middle of the inauguration
of Fadraham Lincoln and here he is on the other
side of this this episode. So what are we doing?
Where are we starting? What to you jumps out? We
had a lot of close calls. Obviously earlier in the
day in the opening window, we had Penn State taking
Indiana to the finish line, and then Indiana decided to

(05:53):
win on what will likely be the best catch of
the season, if not the modern era. Given the circumstance,
given the given number one receiver being out, given the
literal millimeter that it took for Indiana to win this
game with a tow in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I mean, that's where we have to start. That's where
we have to start, because out number two team. That
was the game of the early block. And yeah, it's look,
Indiana has had a charms season thus far. They did
last year. This season they're even better. And clearly, if
you take a look at what Vegas had to say,

(06:30):
they were a heavy favorite in this game. They're fourteen
and a half favorite going into Happy Valley, a Happy
Valley team that's you could argue, a shell of itself
without a quarterback, without their coach, many of the same players,
but still it's just they've lost five in a row,
or they had lost five in a row coming into
this game, no one was expecting a whole lot. What

(06:50):
we saw at Penn State was a much more inspired effort,
and they actually looked pretty good all things considered, thought
Ethan Grunkemeyer. Acquitted himself pretty well. We saw some elements
of the run game, some of the running backs get
involved in the passing game, even some wide receivers get involved,
which you know, it took us to this point in
the season to get there. Trevor Pania had a really

(07:12):
nice game for Penn States. So I was watching this yelling, screaming,
not as loud as Gush Johnson, mind you, but just
enough to scare the crap out of the dogs with
pretty much every play that was going down. Towards the
latter half of this ballgame, Penn State scores late, they
hold on to a twenty four to twenty lead as
Indiana gets the ball back, and this materializes into an

(07:38):
Indiana win. Omar Cooper with an acrobatic toe tap touchdown
seven yards out thirty six seconds left, gives Indiana the
dub twenty seven to twenty four. That was after a
ten play eighty yard drive led by Fernando Mendoza in
just a minute and fifteen seconds. Speaking of heroics, so

(08:00):
this one, if you didn't watch the whole thing, it
ended up being like the last couple of minutes of
an NBA game where it just gets wild in a hurry,
and like if you catch the tail end of it,
you kind of have like the full idea of what
transpired and what the storylines are going to be. But
my takeaway was this could end up being a signature
moment for Indiana they go on to win the Big Ten,

(08:23):
if they go on to make some sort of run
in the playoff, it could end up being a signature
moment for Fernando Mendoza he ends up being a Heisman finalist.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Or for sure it already is, no matter what his
season is. Like the play that he made, which, by
the way, not to fully cut you off, but that's
what I do sometimes the penultimate play just in the
way that like some seasons of TV, it's the penultimate
episode that's the actual killer one. Fernando Mendoza gets absolutely
shelled as he's releasing it the play before and the

(08:53):
ball just sort of floats up in the air, and
you know, if that ball is two yards further towards
the end zone, the game's over. Yeah, right, that like
it's a play that happens, right. Indiana was fortunate and
Penn State was in an unfortunate position that the ball
went or didn't go where it could have gone, but

(09:13):
that was not Indiana's season. But that was the game
floating in the air, and it just happened to fall
into a safe spot for Indiana. And then Fernando Mendoza
through that unbelievable ball to Omar Cooper, who was not
a huge factor in this game, by the way, but
the biggest factor in the win arguably. But yeah, that's
you know, when you have these games are that tight,

(09:34):
it comes down to plays like that, it.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Does, and Penn State did a good job of getting pressure.
I mean even that touchdown throw at the end that
was off his back foot. You know, he wasn't really
able to step into that one. He just sort of
lolly popped it out there, and Omar Cooper made a
hell of a play on it to get the touchdown.
So look, unless you feel some particular affinity for Wisconsin
or Perdue down the stretch, Indiana is pretty much on

(09:59):
a globe path to get to twelve and oh to
get to that Big Ten title game, most likely against
Ohio State. I guess we need to see what transpires
the rest of the way. Clearly they're going to be
in the playoff as things stand right now, and it
just continues. If you're a a Hoosiers fan, it's been
a remarkable run here and this is frankly the type

(10:22):
of you know, late game grit that you want to see,
that you want to see. If there was any question
that Indiana could do this again, they did it against Iowa.
They do it again here against Penn State. Did it
against Oregon too, that game against the road, Yeah, right,
Like these games were all different in some regard, but
Indiana has now had a couple instances where we've asked

(10:43):
some new questions of them to see what they're really
made of, and they've come through in the clutch. So
I give them money credit.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Yeah, I think it's great for Indiana right that there
are certain buttons you know how to push when it
comes to the Big Ten championship game, when it comes
to a playoff matchup, that you are in a tight
game against Ohio State or Alabama or take your pick,
and you have a certain amount of confidence because you
were able to do this on the road in these
specific spots, and Fernando Mendoza has come through time after time.

(11:12):
You don't want to be in this spot if you're Indiana,
given what Penn State hasn't been able to do recently,
And honestly, I kind of like the juice for Penn
State because whatever their future is, we've got Grunkemeyer completing
passes down the field. This is not a half offense.
Because there was the threat with Trevor Pana. I thought

(11:32):
Grunk looked pretty good. He made plays in a losing effort.
And obviously there's going to be a new regime in
State College, but that they're going to go into whatever
this new era is with just a little bit of juice,
right that this is not a locker room. This is
not a roster that has completely folded.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Right.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
They were in it laid against Iowa, they were in
it laid against Indiana, and whatever the future holds, you know,
there's somewhat of a foundation going into the offseason.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
And on the Penn State side, One other aspect that
has gone reported among some of the Penn State writers
that you know, many of whom we know personally. But
the storyline coming into this game was how little juice
many of the reporters were picking up in practice this
week when they talked to players, even the stadium before

(12:22):
the game. I had some people messaging me that it
was like a blue white game the spring scrimmage right
that it just it didn't feel like there was a
whole lot of juice around this game. And lo and behold,
they gave it their best. Still the agony continues for
the Penn State community. It's been like six straight weeks
of stomach punches now since that Oregon game, and they

(12:45):
still have yet to beat a power for opponent in
twenty twenty five. That's not good, not ideal. It's we're
in the shadow of Thanksgiving. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
By the way, if the friendly folks at Tropicana, if
you're interested in who's going the juice from the solid
verbal not a sponsor could be tyne Ey are eager
to talk about all things juice.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Twenty seven to twenty four, A big boy win for
Indiana on the road in Happy Valley. Let's stay in
the big ten though. Let's go to Iowa City, Dan.
They were about eight minutes left in this one. Oregon
had a five point lead, Iowa was starting on their

(13:29):
own seven And I sent a note to you saying,
here's when Iowa puts together the seven minute drive that
steals your soul. Sure you did, can confirm and just
like that. Iowa had a twelve play ninety three yard
drive that ate up six forty five on the clock.
It's pretty good by you, and they came away with

(13:50):
a sixteen to fifteen lead with a minute and fifty
one seconds left. Like we were chatting throughout the course
of this game, and the sentiment that I was getting
from you was, Hey, Oregan's down as top four pass catchers.
They had some bad breaks. Obviously the weather was terrible,
but they did run the ball kind of at will.
They did, they smashed them. It felt like for a

(14:12):
good chunk of this game that they were the better
team out there, a great and my sentiment was mostly
the same, like Oregon ran for two hundred and sixty
one yards. But the ultimate question that I didn't really
address directly with you but was bouncing around in my
head was yeah, but where are the points? Right totally?
Where were the points?

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Dan?

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Where were the points?

Speaker 2 (14:34):
They were not finishing those drives. Obviously, Dante More had
an early interception. It was a great play by an
Iowa dB throwing to like the sixth string receiver, true
freshman on that play. Again, not an excuse, great play
from Iowa, but that's where the points were. On that
specific drive, Dante more tripped over I think either his
center or the right guard's foot after an interior defensive

(14:55):
lineman got a quick push and there was a wide
open tight end running in the end zone on that play.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
The Iowa defense made the play on third and five
or whatever, and Oregon had to settle for three. They
weren't able to finish some of these drives on that
final drive, and Iowa dB held an open receiver who
burned him. That went uncalled. That's okay, it's going to happen.
You got to fight through. Everybody has penalties that don't
get called. So ultimately what happened was Mark Ronowski made

(15:25):
two or three terrific throws, terrific reads wide open a
couple of times. I think it was a tight end
once it was a receiver on a big play, and
Iowa was able to keep drives going. Oregon had some
untimely questionable penalties for my end, but obviously I'm a
biased narrator here. Iowa played in a huge game and

(15:46):
committed zero official penalties, so that's good. They're a team
that came into this game I think leading the nation
in lack of penalties, so it is on brand for
them to play very clean discipline football. But you know,
in a big game, zero penalties on offensive defense good
for them. And Oregon was unable to finish some of
those drives. They got great kicks from Atticus Sappington, their kicker,

(16:09):
including the game winner with basically no time left.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Is that his real name? I believe so, Atticus Sappington.
It sounds like a monopoly piece.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
You know what, if he plays his cards right board
game reference, it just might be someday. And Oregon with
a gutty win, a really gutty win. They won the
line of scrimmage. They won special teams, which sounds like
the Iowa formula, but Oregon went to Iowa City. Both
of the teams had to deal with the same bad
weather and Dante Moore through an absolute dime on that

(16:39):
final drive up the I think the the right sideline,
top sideline, whatever, I don't know where the ball was placed.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
What are big balls throw? That was yes to.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Malik Benson, but yes, Oregon. Morgan was down their starting
right tackle. I'm sure Iowa was down key players as well,
starting right tackle. They're three leading pass catchers after Gary
Bryant went down early, and it was just a tough,
hard fought game. I came away very impressed with I
was resolve in this one. Without consistent offense, they weren't

(17:09):
able to get anything going on the ground, and Mark
Ronowski is a tough runner to bring down. He was
able to extend drives with his legs, and Oregon was
ultimately the better team able to close out the game,
even though they weren't able to close out a number
of drives.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
I can't always really impressed again with Dante Moore in
crunch time, and you know, we've seen it a couple
times this year out of him already. We saw it
first person when we were at the Penn State game,
the one that went into overtime, and just how the
crazy play he made when Oregon got the ball in overtime.

(17:46):
It does not seem and this is kind of a
trend for a lot of these young quarterbacks, these first
time starting quarterbacks. I guess Dante Moore is not a
first time starter, but first time full time starter with Oregon.
Let's say we look around college football and a lot
of these guys who have just gotten the reins this year,
they step in and I you know, I've talked about
it here before. They don't seem phased by some of

(18:08):
these big moments in crunch time. And Dante More, I think,
is a prime example of that. This is another instance
where he just seems very cool, calm and collected. He
knows what needs to go down. He's able to move
the ball quickly. It doesn't seem like there is any
kind of panic, it doesn't seem like they're disorganized. It
seems as though, I mean, I guess that's a sign

(18:29):
of being well coached, but I also think that's something
you can't teach, even if you practice it, having the
ability to like not play outside of yourself, stick in
the moment, be good at what you're good at, and
just use your skill set to move the ball down
the field. He's very good at doing that. Yeah, and
I was really impressed by him on a you know,

(18:51):
bad weather day, road environment against a really good defense.
Eighteen to sixteen was your final and true Iowa football fashion.
We had an eighteen sixteen game, but you know, more
to the point, like we just discussed with Indiana, these
were two escapes against good teams or good defenses at
least a great on the road, and it's hard to

(19:14):
come away from these games being anything other than impressed
for the victors.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
I agree, it was not I ate a whole pizza
in the third quarter. I stress ate an entire pizza.
I still don't feel great intestinally at the moment, but
that's what these types of games do. By the way,
sidebar here. The broadcast was real tough, the CBS broadcast.
You know, I'm always going to be and we're always

(19:40):
going to be fans of our our new friend Jenny Dell,
who did a good job. You know, everybody's just like
soaking wet on the sideline. It's a whole mess. But
Garian and Brad and the booth, we're just doing a
whole lot of like, hey man, what a moment, and
like what are you saying? What are your thoughts? Yeah,
a little bit like goes crazy man, Okay, uh what

(20:02):
did you think it was?

Speaker 1 (20:03):
A pi? Was there a hold on that play? Was
his foot in bounds?

Speaker 3 (20:07):
No?

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Just like, man, that was that was Who's to say.
The thing that I noticed is it seemed like they
got a little extra money for the drone budget. It
was like a Netflix movie, how they kept doing the
drone shots, yes, coming into and out of commercials and
sometimes in the middle of a series, like we don't
we don't need these drone shots. Of course, it's a
beautiful view in Kinnick Stadium. Is is an iconic venue

(20:33):
in college for sure. Okay, like I'm not this is
not anything against that, but it was like, why do
we keep showing the shots here? Yeah? Are we paying
this guy more than the day rate? And we got
to get our money's worth for the drone pilot. I
didn't understand that, but I'm with you. It was.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
It was a tough broadcast, but ultimately I just am am.
I'm happy that organ was able to come out alive
and very impressed with how I was able to battle.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Speaking of IMPI Texas Tech twenty nine BYU seven.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
And Man and this was like kind of immediate with Like,
you watched two minutes of this game, You're like, I
think I have a good handle on what the rest
of these four quarters are going to look like.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
It really was, it really was, that was my thought
while watching this. It was just that Texas Tech felt
head and shoulders better, and it really wasn't all that close.
And this was probably most obvious when Texas Tech was
on defense, because they just completely took away what Byu
wanted to do on the ground. Now, they did get
up enough where Byu had to put I think more

(21:37):
on the arm of Bear Bachmeier, but even still, I
thought they made him look a lot more like a
freshman quarterback. And he'll learn, he'll grow. He's obviously had
a very good season. He went up against a very
good Texas Tech team that's been solid defensively, in a
huge shift from what we're used to seeing from Texas Tech,

(21:59):
but they very much made him look like a freshman quarterback,
and by You really could not establish any kind of
momentum here against Tech. I was really impressed by Texas
Tech and how just how professional an effort it seemed.
This was, you know, there was no stress here. Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
The thing that stood out to me was just the
Texas Tech front on defense, especially the offensive excuse me,
the defensive line, but the linebackers have been making plays
all year long, obviously Ben Robertson, Jacob Rodriguez making the
plays that they made, but it was just the BYU
front was just absolutely overwhelmed, including Bear Bachmeyer. And that's

(22:40):
okay because kind of everybody has been by Texas Tech's
defensive line, especially this season, which is why you go
out and overhaul a roster. And this is all a compliment,
by the way, this is all a compliment to Texas Tech.
They saw a need of improvement and they went out
and did it. And they made Bear Bachmeyer look his size.

(23:01):
And I'm not saying this to make fun of a
shorter quarterback, but he is a freshman. He will put
on weight, he will figure things out. They look like
they overwhelmed him.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Obviously.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
L J.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Martin came back and he has been sort of the
heartbeat of that offense as well. He was unable to
do anything on the ground, and ultimately it was you know,
the BYU defense on the field as much as they were.
When you know, Baron Morton starts making plays, Cameron Dickie
starts making plays, the running game in general starts going
more and more, and the Texas Tech defense just getting

(23:33):
off the field consistently. And so came away super impressed.
I know game day was there. Patrick Mahomes was in
the crowd that you know, thirty seven cutaways to him,
He's earned it he's really good at football. Yeah, but no,
this was definitely like a very efficient way to silence
a team. I think BYU should finish the season strong.

(23:55):
They're not as good as Texas Tech, but it's seeming
more and more that very few teams are good for
the Red Raiders. Hope they finished strong because it's nice
to have measuring stick teams in these conferences, and with
what they were able to do finishing off Utah in
the close rivalry moment, they're answering a lot of questions
and they answered a big one with a bigger spotlight

(24:16):
on them today in Lubbock. So came away very impressed.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
I mean, the only thing that I would push back
on bear Bachmeier is six to one and a half too,
is he well, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Does is the whole Texas Tech defensive line like seven
four three eighty for some reason?

Speaker 1 (24:30):
They just it seemed that way the way that Texas
Tech played. Yes, they definitely made him appear smaller. He
also looks like he's ten years old. Maybe that's he
might be ten years old, but he's not a small
guy by any stretch. Fair. He was just overmatched in
this game against a better team, and I think you're right,
like this was a reality check for BYU. I agree

(24:52):
this is a compliment towards Texas Tech and what they
have built, but it is definitely not any kind of
slight for what BYU has done this year. It's been
a really good year for BYU. It's still a really
good team. I do not think the remaining schedule is easy,
but I do think they will be favored in all
of their games and if they win out. I tried

(25:13):
to do the math a little bit before we went
live here. Of course, this thing is subject change a
million times over. If they win out, there's a really
good chance they're going to get a rematch with Texas
Tech in the Big twelve title game. Sure you know.
And oh, by the way, because of what's going on
in the ACC, which we can talk about next. I mean,
I don't know how many playoff teams, how many playoff

(25:35):
spots are going to be out there for Big twelve teams,
but it's probably going to be more than we thought
at the start of the week. So if you're BYU,
if you're Utah, if you're Texas Tech, I think you
feel pretty good. Like I said at the very top
of the show, Which teams would I want to be
right now? I would definitely love to be Indiana given
what they've got left on their schedule. I would absolutely
be thrilled to be Texas Tech given what they've done

(25:57):
already and what I think they've still got on their
schedule here. I mean, there's a whole handful of teams
that you look at and you say, yeah, I would
love to be some of these teams right now, even BYU.
You know, it's a tough schedule, but if you do
what you need to do, you're going to find yourself
back in the thick of things before long. So I
give Texa Tech a ton of credit. Barring any kind

(26:17):
of wild upset text going eleven and one, they're playing
for the Big twelve. They're probably making the playoff. I
think you can pencil them in right now, frankly, but
I don't want to get ahead of myself because you know,
I have this jinxing quality, So let's not go there.
Let's just say twenty nine to seven was a pretty
damn good effort from the Red Raiders here.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah, I wouldn't hate to be Wake Forest complete a pass.
I mean, I guess maybe sometimes we'll still win. Why
don't have any guys who are gonna hit doubles? Where
are we going next?

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Let's go to wake Forest and Virginia next. Okay, okay,
Top fifteen team goes down. Uva lost sixteen to nine
to Wake Forest. Wake Forest gives the Who's their first
conference loss. Virginia came in ranked. Virginia came in in

(27:07):
control of their acc destiny. Wake's defense kept them out
of the end zone, held the playmakers in check of
note Chandler Morris got knocked out of this one in
the first half didn't help. But ultimately, I think Wake's
ability to survive in just an ugly way to capitalize
on special teams like these things had a cumulative effect

(27:34):
and taking in totality held Virginia down from really getting
any kind of momentum. And that was sort of the
story of this one. Like the single biggest play in
this game, perhaps the turning point, was a bouncing punt
that was returned eighty eight yards by Carlos Hernandez. That
was the game's only touchdown. It was in the third quarter.

(27:56):
That was the dagger, that was it, that was what
song momentum put this one out of reach. You have
games like this that end up being ugly. This was
one of them. And Wake just got the better of
Virginia by holding them down, by getting the best of
them on special teams, and you know, by by making
a commitment here I guess to winning ugly. Yeah. Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Also the stat that was thrown around a bunch was
I think Virginia had fumbled it ten times this season
heading into the game and recovered all of them. They
lost three tonight. You know, the math is going to
bounce back as well. So really nice performance from Wake.
But yeah, as you mentioned, just nothing on offense and

(28:38):
scoring the way that they did.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
And.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
It doesn't it doesn't change anything about either one of
these teams seasons in general, as in terms of like
how successful we are viewing like this is like the
third fourth game we're talking about in November, Wake Virginia.
It's bonkers successful seasons from both of these teams, and
they earned it.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Both teams were short of three hundred total yards. In effect,
this was like a kicking duel. We had some field
goals in the first half, we had the special teams play.
Either team could really finish drives, but it was sixteen
to nine. To your point, you know, UVa's not out
of this ACC thing. I mean, this definitely puts a

(29:20):
bit of a dent in their chances of getting to
that ACC title game. But there's a big game coming
up next week against Duke. Duke loss, by the way,
wasn't a conference game you talked about this at the top.
They lost to Yukon. Yukon, who could go nine and three.
Yukon's actually half decent, way better than most people realize.
But this game between Virginia and Duke next week is

(29:42):
gonna have a lot of significance on who ends up
playing for the ACC. So maybe there was a look
ahead here. Maybe it had something to do with Chandler
Morris getting knocked out. I'm sure that did not help.
But Wake gets the upset and Cal yeah, with an
upset of Louisville twenty nine to twenty six in overtime.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Nine twenty six in overtime. Cal goes for it on
fourth down, gets the win. A nice day through the
air for Jks and was it Jacob Dejesuss and Cal
going on the road. This doesn't happen in the hinter lens.
Louisville obviously without Isaac Brown struggles through the air with

(30:30):
Miller Moss to get any sort of pop and juice going,
and obviously incredibly disappointing if you're Louisville and Justin Wilcox.
I saw somewhere, I don't remember where. It may have
been our discord or something like you just save his
job yet again, the unkillable Justin Wilcox at Cal. But impressive,
absolutely impressive from Cal. And I mean Louisville, season's not over,

(30:54):
but this is, you know, the appetizer.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
In the ACC feast for sure, it is. The season
is certainly not over. They would need a lot to break,
I mean a lot to break for them to have
a shot at playing for the ACC. Oh, I know,
so I think I think for all intents and purposes,
some of those like higher level goals that they might
have had after beating Miami, those go out the window

(31:19):
with a loss like this. But yeah, this is all
three losable games, by the way, coming up for Louisville
and Clemson. Kentucky, who all of a sudden is like
undead zombie Kentucky blowing out Florida and I believe a
SMU to round out their schedule. Yeah, so it's it.
It's gonna get a little bit murky the deeper we
get into this thing. But you know, Louisville is still

(31:41):
a formidable team. They've still got some good wins, and
obviously what they did in Miami a couple of weeks
ago is going to have h It's gonna have a
pretty big impact on how things shake out in the ACC.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
So, but if you're Louisville, you don't want to be like, yes,
we affect things, just more broadly speaking, No, no, So.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
You don't want that. But I think we're probably at
the point because of this loss where some of those
aspirations are done. Sure, look they can't all be Yukon
Rice Beaten Duke. Yeah, not everybody can be Yukon. Now
what else jumped out to you? In Week eleven? Bill

(32:21):
Belichick won debl Sweney one. That's that's nice, just to yeah,
round out AC if we round out the ACC. We
had wins by Bill Belichick. We had a win by
Dabos Sweeney twenty four to ten over Florida State. Clemson
wasn't control the entire football game. They were control the

(32:43):
entire football game. Their defense looked really solid, especially in
the first half. They kept Florida State off balance. They
limited Florida State's scoring opportunities. Florida State struggled offensively for
most of the game, scored ten points, which was I
believe a season low for them. So this is a
really good job by the Clemson defense that has definitely

(33:04):
taken some arrows so far this season. Yeah. I thought
they acquitted themselves quite well. What else do we have here?
Miami did win, got off to a bit of a
slow start against Syracuse but ended up winning going away. Yep,
SMU one. And then I mentioned the Yukon Duke game.
I can just come back to that for a second.
This is actually a really good game, please, it was.
It was a really good game. So Yukon beats Duke

(33:26):
thirty seven to thirty four. Yukon goes up with about
two minutes left on a touchdown pass to skylor Bell.
Duke gets the ball back. They're driving to try and
tie it. Tell me if you've heard this one before.
Fumble game over. Yeah, this has sort of been the
story of Duke season, where they continue to find new

(33:47):
ways to shoot themselves in the foot. They did it
again here. Yeah, so maybe there was a little bit
of a letdown. Look ahead spot, right, they beat Clemson
a week ago, They've got the big one with Uva
on deck. I don't this is a on the road.
Maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe it didn't,
But Duke did it again where they found a way
to sort of do the funniest possible thing. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
I mean, look, they're in the game, they lose a
turnover battle three to nothing, and yet they're still in
the game at the end. Driving But yeah, Duke is
a it's an entertainment team, right that they're going to
play in all of these games that are super entertaining,
and then there are going to be moments where they
have the what the second half against Illinois where it's
just repeated shots into the toes over and over and

(34:35):
over again and just needs to be cleaned up pretty quickly.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Let's go over the SEC and talk about the SEC X.
We've talked about everybody else. Yeah, let's decipher what went
down because we had a couple of big games that
were of doubt, right, we had the Georgia Mississippi State game.
Georgia ends up winning that one forty one. Buddy, They
stopped them. They stopped them.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
It was a really performance from Georgia on the ground.
Nate Fraser had a big day. I thought the play
calling was really good. I just thought it was a
complete performance, and Mississippi State had just been allowing too
much on the ground and Georgia, you know, went straight
for the jugular.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Mississippi State actually struck first here. They actually shoot first.
They put together a really solid fourteen play opening drive.
They were up seven zip right away, but that's when
the defense clamped down. After that opening touchdown, Georgia just
like stopped everything Mississippi State wanted to do. I think
I saw they stopped him on like six straight possessions

(35:37):
after that opening score. They did give up garbage time scores,
but that was after the game was sort of out
of reach. At that point, I thought Georgia responded really,
really well, and I was really impressed by how they
just sort of put this one out of reach. They
out gained Mississippi State by a five sixty seven to
three to twenty two margin. They dominated time of basse essen.

(36:00):
They were seven of eight on third downs. They had
thirty first downs in this game. And I would just
say more broadly, their offensive line looked really good. Sure,
they looked really good in this game. So a credit
to Georgia for what they did. A credit to Texas
A and M for what they did. Wooh Texas A
and M. If you are watching the SEC, I don't

(36:21):
care if you're an SEC fan or not. I don't
care if you're an A and M fan or not.
If you are watching A and M and you are
not getting the warm fuzzies, you're doing it wrong. Because
this is a team that is firing on all cylinders.
It feels like they are getting better. What they did
in this game was damn impressive.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
You know.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
It was like whatever Miszoo threw at them, and Miszoo
had its own issues. Well Miszoo couldn't really throw they could, Yeah,
probably wrong phrasing for me, raising yeah, but like so
they got mad Zolas. They were obviously a bit hampered,
But just the ease with which Texas A and M
was able to assert its dominance in this game, it's

(37:01):
not only impressive within the context of the matchup, but
I think it's even more impressive within the context of
the conference and with the broader National Championship conversation. And
for all the jokes that we tell about A and
M finding a way to end up eating four every year,
and clearly they've been very good at doing they can't
not this year, Buddy, can't do it this year mathematically speaking, right,
and moving forward now as we start doing playoff rankings,

(37:24):
as we start filling out brackets and stuff like that,
I mean, this is a legit championship contender. They have
not waivered. It's felt that way for most of the season.
But they just continue to impress me week in and
week out. Had a couple close games, right, It hasn't
been perfect the full way through. That's true for everybody,

(37:44):
but this team truly feels to me like they're getting better.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
Sure, I agree, there's an unbelievable amount of speed that
impressed me on both sides of the ball, and the
forcing of turnovers with the weird force fumble. It doesn't
mean Matt Zolos is not going to be good eventually.
He was overmatched in this one, obviously. I actually really

(38:09):
liked what Miszoo was able to do on the ground
in this one, all things consider, wasn't much of a threat.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
Jamal Rogers both good.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
And that's like if you're gonna look at if you're
gonna nitpick something about Texas A and M, it's sort
of weird slow starts like they had at times today,
at times against LSU. Obviously things got out of hand
very quickly after the halftime break against LSU. But yeah,
Miszoo behaved like an elite running team should, and that's

(38:37):
been one area of concern for the Texas A and
M defense, that they can't allow some bigger runs and
to be pushed around a little bit on the ground,
but otherwise the confidence with which Marcel Reid plays, the
speed of all these guys Craver and Bussy and uh
casey concepcion, like I mean, Ruben Owens is busting out
long runs like they're just doing it in a variety

(38:58):
of ways. And this has been the sort of Mike
Elko calling card at A and M and beyond. It's
just like seem just gets stronger over the course of games.
Their second halves are incredible, and so I don't know
who's taking advantage. If I mean, you can point to
a lot of things that Texas A and M or
that Texas excuse me, has done well. If you're looking
forward but running the ball has not been something that's

(39:19):
super impressive. They may not be built specifically to take
advantage of where Texas A and M might be a.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Little bit vulnerable.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
So to take this show on the road to a
tough place to play at Maszoo and immediately leave no
doubt once things got going, I mean, how do you
come away from this game anything but intrigued by what
A and M ceiling might be?

Speaker 1 (39:40):
December January, Oh my gosh, I just I'm blown away.
I'm blown away by how good this team looked in
week eleven and how good they have looked weak in
and week out. It just feels like they're getting better.
A and M's another one of those teams I would
love to be A and M. Right, well, sure, right, yeah,
even if you end up losing along the way maybe

(40:04):
to Texas in the rivalry game games in Austin, Right,
maybe you lose that game. Even if you lose that
game you finished eleven to one, you may still find
your way into the SEC title game, depending on what
happens otherwise. Right, worst case scenario, you're still in the playoff. Sure,
I think A and M is one of these teams
all miss won forty five zip or something over to

(40:25):
the Citadel, you know, not just US Citadel to be
clear to Citadel with the article is yeah, forty nine nothing,
I believe. I don't even know what the right score is.
They killed them, it doesn't matter. Yeah, but I would
love to be A and M and Old Miss right
now in the SEC because Ole Miss outside of the
Egg Bowl to close out the year, which maybe could
get weird. Outside of that Old Miss, the schedule is

(40:48):
very manageable, and they're one of those teams I think
you could pencil in they're not going to play for
the SEC title, but you can make a case that
that's who cares. They're still going to find their way
into a playoff. The probably going to be hosting a
first round game against a team that's beatable. So Ole
Miss and A and M are in a really advantageous
spot right now, you know, both of which have continued

(41:10):
to I think show that they're getting better as well.
In some way, shape or form. I've I've been really
impressed by both those sides. Alabama LSU twenty to nine
was a game? Was your final? Kind of Yeah? How
do we how do we describe this game?

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Some super impressive plays from ty Simpson, but the offense
sort of had fits and starts. I'm not sure what
to make of the Alabama offensive line at the moment,
Like protection seems inconsistent. They still haven't figured out a
way to work in the run consistently. One week they
can and then the next week it's gone again. I'm
sure there's three to five throws that ty Simpson would

(41:52):
like back. And it's just a good game to have
some flaws but look really really good. Good because overall
they're a much better team than LSU. But I don't
know having LSU's offensive line, having Garrettnusmeyer, who seems like
he's been beat up all year and just just been
seeing ghosts and he got pulled in this one for MVB.

(42:16):
You know, I think it's a shame in this one
that LSU's really impressive step forward on defense is being wasted.
Like the defense kept them in this game. They got
off the field, they made plays, but ultimately there were
just too many ways for Alabama to succeed. I don't know,
it just I just sort of came away sad for
LSU and happy for Bama that they're flexing new muscles.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Yeah, I don't know. And the LSU thing is kind
of interesting too, because LSU benched Garrett Nusmeyer yeah and
went to our guy, Michael van Buren. Yeah. So I
probably need to get my Kramer van Buren sounds ready
if this is something that continues for the rest of

(43:03):
the season or for some period of time. I like him,
But it was a case of the LSU offense, I think,
having some opportunities not being able to convert. There was
like a huge drop late that comes to mind. I mean,
it's we talked about the after Brian factor, right, What

(43:25):
is his team going to look like now that Brian
Kelly is gone? Well, the play calling change at all?
Will this team feel different now that Kelly's out of
there and it's like Alex Atkins calling plays nine points
on offense? You know, I don't know if we got
the after Brian factor the way that we hoped, at
least from our content standpoint, right.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
I mean, look, there's also on the other side. I'd
love to see. If we're talking about Texas A and
M getting stronger as the game goes on, we're also
talking about an Alabama team. Did Albama score in the
second half of the Georgia win. To be clear, it
was a win, I don't think they did. I think
they scored three points a gallis against LSU. They need
a furious comeback scoring what a couple touchdowns late against

(44:10):
South Carolina. I'd love to feel more confident in Alabama
heading into this home stretch, knowing that they were figuring
out how to get stronger and have figured out ways
to adjust against quality defenses. I haven't fully seen that
this season. I think the defense is leading the way.
The Ty Simpson emergence has been terrific, but I still

(44:32):
think this is like kind of a work in progress
in terms of game management and flow.

Speaker 1 (44:36):
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. I do want to
talk about the Florida Kentucky game briefly, but first we
got to talk about Vandy beating Auburn in overtime. Oh man,
So this was a wild offensive shootout that came down
some clutch plays in the final minute in overtime, with

(44:56):
again Diego Pavia stepping up as the hero. Right. This
was like a back and forth showdown. There was a
combined total of over eleven hundred yards. Dan Vanderbilt ultimately
is the one that pulls it out. They end up
winning this one forty five to thirty eight. I guess
you could say they keep their playoff hopes alive, if
that's something we even care about. But I think they

(45:17):
are just a bit intoxicated because of the Vandy story
this year, with an eight and two record, being four
and two in the SEC, being way better I think
than many of us thought in the preseason, even on
the heels of what they did a year ago. This
has just been a remarkable season. The fourth quarter in
this game was great. It was a great watch. We

(45:38):
had a bunch of lead changes, We had plenty of
moments that were nerve racking. Vandy rallies from a ten
point deficit. We had Cedric Alexander scoring a touchdown that
put Vandy ahead by eight I think with eight minutes left,
but then Auburn responds with a touchdown and a two
point conversion, ends up thirty eight thirty eight at the

(46:00):
end of regulation. So the key moment in this one
was what happened in overtime, which you've probably seen now
if you've watched any of the highlights. But Diego Pavi
ends up connecting with Cole Spence four yard touchdown pass
that ends up sealing the win. Auburn then can't convert
when they get a chance at it fourth and seven

(46:20):
that ends the game. But the story of this one,
outside of that moment where Pavius scores or throws the
touchdown pass to Cole Spence, it's Diego pavia He had
four hundred and seventy seven total yards and four total touchdowns. Dan, Yes,
you know it. We've seen this now a couple different
times with him, where you don't always know how he's

(46:42):
gonna make his presence felt. You know, maybe in this
one it was a little bit more apparent, But I
think back to a game a couple of weeks ago, right,
Like you don't always see it right away with him,
but he just sort of like grows into a game
in a way that you can't teach, and that makes
him really really Dangerou is somebody in the other sidelines,
Like he just find finds a way, finds a weird

(47:05):
crevasse to work his way in and impact the game
in a really serious way.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
Part of me is convinced, I mean, he has convinced
me with how good he is that he only knows
between three and seven plays in the playbook, and if
those plays are called, he's gonna nail him. But otherwise
he's like, I don't know what they just called. Let's
let's go do something weird and it usually works. I mean,
the defenses were nowhere in this game to be found.

(47:34):
I do have a sidebarring about cam Coleman. By the way, Man,
why'd you go to Auburn? I mean I understand that,
like in a weird way, in a backwards way. It
helps to spotlight just how good he is because of
how disadvantaged the Auburn offense has been these past couple
of years with Peyton Thorn and Jackson Arnold and Hugh Freeze.
And I don't know, it's been a bad situation. He's

(47:55):
so damn good, he's so ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (47:58):
I don't know, man, he's good. There's definite potential there.
But he still has weird drops and he does.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
But like, I don't know, man, think about if you
are hosting a podcast with somebody who was just a
crazy wild card all of the time and you could
never get in a rhythm. Oh wait, you already right,
So I'm holding you back in the way that the
planes hold back. Camp Coleman is what I'm certain of now,

(48:26):
he the best of Cam Coleman is absolutely all American
first round. You know, there is concentration stuff that he had.
What was it to drop against? Was it Oklahoma?

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Right?

Speaker 2 (48:37):
But whatever, I h I'm willing to look if if
there's such a cool factor with you that makes me
forget about some you know, less than ideal circumstances, you
can do wrong, No wrong by me. So Camp Coleman
is incredible and I love him. Yeah, Diego Pavia though,
when you have Diego Pavia on your team, you are

(48:59):
always going to have that chance. And when Vandy went
tempo in this game, Look, we're still dealing with an
Auburn team with Dj Dirkin interim coach, and you know,
vibes are all over the place. But when Vandy went
tempo in this game, they were just on roller skates
and it was a really smart decision. Good for Vandy.
Fun back and forth. This was an Ashton Daniels game,
by the way, for Auburn, who made a ton of plays.

(49:20):
I was gonna say he was with his feet and
his arm. He was impressive at times in this game.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
Yeah, No really.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Deserves all the Flowers as well. But yeah, good for Vandy.
Whatever their their their high aspirations are for the season
are still alive.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
I don't know. I'm not a Heisman voter. I know
a bunch of Heisman voters. I'm not one of them.
I would be very curious to talk to some people
who are to get their read on Pavia, you know,
because a lot of times the guys that get invited
to New York, they're on teams that are playing for
something of real merit, you know. And I don't I

(49:55):
mean not to say Andy isn't. I don't know where
Vandy's going to end up. They're doing the sec to
said and done. No, no, no, it's been It's like I said,
it's been an incredible season. I think, completely separate from
the win loss record, from whatever the stakes are that
vand ends up playing for at the end of the year.
I don't see how he can't put this guy in
New York. You know, he was a story of last year.

(50:18):
He's one of the top five stories this year. He
is fun to watch. He has captured everyone's imagination. He
is putting the team on his back weekend and week out.
This is an offense built almost entirely around him. I
don't see how you cannot put this guy in New York,
especially with a very muddled Heisman field. You know, there

(50:40):
are no clear cut favorites.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
I don't know at this point. We can have a
Fernando Mendoza conversation, we can have a Juliansane conversation, we
can have a Joe Fannano quarterback at Yukon conversation.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
Seventh year, are any of those guys far and away
the favorite to win the award?

Speaker 2 (50:59):
I mean not as as Wisconsin's winning with Carter Smith
going three of twelve for eight yards.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
I just don't think like in previous years. Yeah, we're
in the spot here in November where we can say, oh, yeah,
that's the guy who's probably gonna win. That's true. We
have no idea. And I think Pavi has got as
good a case, if not better. Okay, and I think
you should be there.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
It's a it's a good year for do everything type
guys like Aller, like Haines King at Georgia Tech. Right that, Like, yeah,
they're almost more MVP than Heisman like their value to
their specific teams seems more pronounced than ever.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
And I think that's worth honoring. However, we can come,
you know, mid December. All right, let's talk through the
Big twelve real quick. We had Houston winning thirty to
twenty seven over UCF earlier in the week. We had
special uniforms and special uniforms for UCF their first loss,
by the way, in nine attempts. Right where in the
space U uniform. Yeah. We had West Virginia beating Colorado.

(52:03):
We had Iowa State edging out TCU twenty to seventeen.
We had Arizona coming back and winning twenty four to
twenty over Kansas.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Wild Day in the Big twelve? Did Iowa State? I
saw this game on and off on the second screen
during the Oregon Iowa game, went back and forth with TCU,
who was wearing like the blood frog. Look the red
and purple that screws up your eyes. I know, I
could barely watch this game.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
It was giving me a headache.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
Yeah, the tie has this is not specific to TCU,
TY has issues with red and green visually. It was
this is hard Cornia.

Speaker 1 (52:39):
I couldn't even watch it. I'm sorry to hear it.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
It's this and it's like when Baylor wears the green shade.
That is grass. That's real tough for you too. But no,
I think I want to say Iowa State basically clinched
this game. I was a punt return touchdown.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
Yeah, it was in the fourth quarter, so they were
down seventeen to six with about thirteen min left, right,
and through some combination of Carson Hanson and yeah, the
seventy nine yard punt return from Aiden Flora with a
minute and a half left, that was how they ended
up winning this one. They came from behind, they were
trailing big down eleven. They end up scoring fourteen on

(53:17):
the answered to win twenty to seventeen. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
Now wild. The Kansas Arizona game was almost too chaotic
to watch. A lot of it was just a lot
of busted plays. It was a lot of lead changes late.
But honestly, very good of Arizona, who has struggled at
times this season to finish winnable games to beat, to
beat a Kansas team that was given them all they
could handle. And Arizona, I don't know, they have a

(53:44):
tasty November. Let's call it in front of them to
have a really nice turnaround here.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
The only other thing that I'll offer on the I
guess Big twelve side is that we got to see
Juju Lewis from Colorado. Colorado didn't ye.

Speaker 2 (54:00):
He saw highlights of him, but it looked like he
was hitting some shots down.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
He looked really good. Good two nine, two touchdowns, no picks.
He looked really good. Stepping in for Caden Salter and Colorado,
I think is officially not going bowling now. That is correct,
That is correct.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
So yeah, that rounds out the Big twelve. Was there
anything in the SEC.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Week we forgot Kentucky Florida? I was gonna say, I
want to talk about Kentucky Florida. What's up with Kentucky
right now? What is going on with these guys? I
think Cutter Bowley's got a little bit of juice. I
think so too.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
He's young, but I don't know there's a spark there.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
What is going on with Kentucky. There's zombie Kentucky. I
don't have to have the sound. It's not Kentucky, but
that's my Bama, zombie Bama. But we can play it here.
For Kentucky. They look pretty good.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
They looked good. Dante Daldell hit a couple of big
runs and I mean, look we're talking about like after
Brian factor for LSU and the after Hugh factor. We
talked about how this was maybe a letdown spot for
Georgia because it was let down look ahead, what Georgia has.

Speaker 1 (55:11):
Texas next week? I want to say, but man was
in a letdown spot for Florida in this one.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
DJ Lagway was all over the place. I need to
watch this game more closely. I was flipping back and
forth then, but he got benched. It was a true
freshman who came in, and I want to say, he
was benched within like three minutes of Garrett Nussmeyer, like
when you had the split screen Baseball wild card stuff
going on. It was like, okay, which extremely herald at

(55:39):
SEC quarterback is.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
Really going to up?

Speaker 2 (55:41):
No, they're both benched. Okay, So we had that. But yeah,
that's another game I'm interested in watching closer because Kentucky
making some noise.

Speaker 1 (55:49):
Making a little bit of noise all right over in
the Big ten. Just to sort of round things out,
we had USC winning thirty eight seventeen over Northwestern. The
story of this game was not that the one. It
was the fake punt, oh, the illegal fake punt.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
As it turns out is it allegacy that so okay,
paint the picture. And then Bruce Felbn wrote an article
about this. He talked to Mike Breyer and he explained
why it's illegal. Continue USC ran a fake punt. It
involved their third string quarterback, Sam Heward. Okay, Now, if
Sam Heward were out there wearing his normal number, you'd

(56:25):
like to think that through scouting and through their prep work,
they would have seen it coming a mile away, that
there was some sort of fake. As it stands, Sam
Heward changed his number this week to number eighty, So
apparently he changed it three weeks ago for nobody noticed
it because he's the third string.

Speaker 1 (56:44):
Quarterback, all right, So at some point before, yeah, they
ran this play, he changed his number to eighty, which
is also the same number as their punter, which allowed
him in this game, which, by the way, if you
have a play like this, I don't know why you
use it on Northwestern, but okay, whatever, Sure they chose

(57:04):
to run a fake punt where they throw Sam Hewart
out there in place of their punter, Sam Johnson. Obviously
he's got the same number. Nobody sees it coming. The
punt works. Everyone's talking about it, us he goes on
to win by twenty one points. Us He's got Iowa
next week. That'll be damn interesting. We're obviously gonna have
to talk about that one.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
In LA, right in LA. But back to the fake punt. Okay,
back to the fake punt.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
What did Bruce? What did Mike Perera have to say
about this? I have not read anything, but my takeaway was,
how is that legal?

Speaker 2 (57:37):
So you can't play two different players wearing the same
number at the same position in a game. So because
Sam Sam Johnson that's the regular punter correct also wears eighty,
no team can play two number eighties at punter in
the same game.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
How are you supposed to know that? Though?

Speaker 2 (57:59):
As an official, I don't know how you're supposed to
know that, especially because like as an official or as
you know somebody who's a spotter for Northwestern, how are
you supposed to look inside the helm to be like,
that's not Sam Johnson, that's Sam Hillard, that's a hood,
Like that's the rule. That's the rule USC broke. Obviously

(58:20):
in the moment, it's a nearly impossible rule to enforce
unless there is some sort of obvious physical difference between
the two players. But yeah, Lincoln Riley talked about that.
David Bron talked about how he didn't think Lincoln Riley
had called a fake punt since like twenty seventeen, and
he was like, now, I guess I gotta go through
every issued roster with a fine tooth comb to notice

(58:43):
any irregularities. So it was illegal. It wasn't a huge like,
it wasn't a huge gain or a ten yard right,
But I think the bigger story is this was a
spot for USC coming off of a close win on
the road against Nebraska. Not a close win, but an
impressive win all things considered against the Nebraska defense, that

(59:08):
they were able to come home short week Friday night
and start out a little bit sluggishly back and forth Northwestern.
I think it was fourteen all or seventeen fourteen or
something near the half, and exploded in the second half.
King Miller had a good game, Mikayle Lemon always has
a good game, it seems, and he went off. He
was absolutely, you know, a continued dude for USC, and

(59:28):
the defense clamped down in the second half in a
much more impressive way. But yes, weird, fake punt illegal,
But here we are, well.

Speaker 1 (59:36):
It's only illegal if you get caught, and they didn't.
That's also true thirty eight to seventeen. I As we said,
we'll be talking about that Iowa game coming up here
one of our two episodes this week elsewhere in the
Big ten Ohio. It took a little bit for Ohio
State that yet going, but once they Yeah, no Carnel Tait,
no carneal Tate in this one. Yeah, it was three
zip in favor of Perdue after the first quarter, but

(59:59):
after they got going, and it like the story of
this one was pretty much the same story as most
Ohio State games, where Julian saying where Jeremiah Smith are
basically unstoppable. The ground game continues to show real growth.
I think they had something like one hundred and seventy
yards on the ground, so it's it seems as though
they are starting to add some load there and get

(01:00:19):
a little wit I saw on the ground.

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
I saw some complaints about at least portions of the
Ohio state line, but I think this is a fan
base that can afford to nitpick in that way that
perhaps others can't, because Ohio State still looks like world
beaters at the moment though, schedule wise, nobody has a
roster and a situation on this schedule, perhaps until that

(01:00:42):
final week to really offer a measuring stick situation. So
we'll see. You know, you'd like to be tested if
you're an Ohio State fan or not a fan, but
you'd like to see your favorite team be tested a
little bit to see how they respond against a team
with a higher ceiling ahead of December January matchups.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
But you know, nothing they can control. Wisconsin did get
a win. Wisconsin got a win. They won with forty
eight passing yards. Their longest pass of the day was
a twenty four yard or on a fake punt. Not great, Bob,
not great in terms of offense, but it was a
weird weather situation in Madison as well for both teams.

(01:01:22):
For both teams. Yeah, Danny O'Neill was the latest Wisconsin
quarterback to go out with injury. He got carted off
in the first quarter. They just have no quarterback luck
right now. But they do find a way to get
this one done. And again I had jinx Washington just
to see if it would work, and my apologies to
the Huskies out there, but it appears as if I'm

(01:01:44):
better at this than I thought, So thirteen to ten
was your final.

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
We were beat up as well. To be Claire Washington.
There a bunch of injuries to key players, especially on offense,
but Demon Williams just could not find room, could not
find passing lanes, and Wisconsin was harassing this Washington offense
for much of this game, again in soggy, inclement weather.

(01:02:08):
I don't know what Washington's deal is on the road.
I mean, same with USC to a certain extent. They
got over that a little bit with their Nebraska win
last week, but this one, I don't know if it's
a Jetfish thing. I don't know if it's just a
general internal vibe thing. I mean what, they didn't score
a touchdown for three quarters at Maryland, who I believe
just lost to Rutgers. You can in fact check me

(01:02:29):
on that. Also in the Big Ten, struggled against Michigan,
I think, held without a score for three of those
four quarters. Obviously at home against Ohio State struggled, but
that's you know, everybody's going to do that. I don't
know if Jedfish just like brings the wrong chargers, prints,
the wrong boarding passes. I don't know, what's going on
with this Washington team on the road, but they do

(01:02:50):
not have any concept of how to leave the Pacific
Northwest and maintain quality.

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
You mentioned the Rutgers game. Yeah, I don't need to
talk too much about the Rutgers game. Okay, Rutgers one
thirty five to twenty over Maryland. I just want to
give a shout out to the Rutgers running back who
went forty one carries two hundred and forty one yards
and lot of work two one hundred and forty yards.

(01:03:18):
It's the most in the Big Ten this season, the
third highest in the country this year, behind Cameron Dickie
of Tech Texas Tech and Mott Hardy of Miszoo. So
uh good on him. He should get one of our
dud alerts. A little bit later on in the show,
Rutgers does need to steal a win against either Ohio
State or Penn State if they want to get the

(01:03:39):
six wins. More likely that will happen against Penn State
than Ohio State, but who the hell knows.

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Yeah, that's yeah, So Maryland's at five and yeah, Penn
State Ohio State. Yeah, more likely Penn State than Ohio State.

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
That's right. That's right, man.

Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
I don't know what kind of conversation there is to
be had about Maryland. I know they're starting a ton
of younger dudes, but the whole thing, we're just like
winning in September, losing five straight including to UCLA, right
Maryland to Ucla, and then like other good teams, Washington, Nebraska,
Washington came back. Nebraska was close, but they should have

(01:04:18):
won that game. Indiana was not close. Like as soon
as Mike Loxley has to put on a windbreaker, it
all leaves. As soon as October hits.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
I don't know, man, ah weird. Okay. The only other
result here in the Big Ten was Nebraska beating UCLA
twenty eight twenty one. We didn't that's final. We'd have
a chance to watch that because we're doing this, but
we'll loop back on that one to see if there
are any storylines that are of note, and to bring
this thing home and to just be complete in all

(01:04:48):
of our coverage here. Notre Dame one going away forty
nine to ten over Navy. I watched the whole game.
Notre Dame did whatever they wanted against Navy. Saw that.
So if you're again speaking to which teams would you
like to be You'd really like to be Notre Dame
right now, they do have the game next week on
the road at Pitt. I am mildly terrified of that
game because I think Pitt's really good through the air.

(01:05:09):
I think Pitt's been playing decent defense. I actually think
that'll be a better test for Notre Dame. So I'm
curious to see what they look like. Plus that one's
on the road. But that aside. Notre Dame schedule, the
rest of the way is very manageable, and provided they
take care of business and continue to show out the
way they've been shown, they should be fine. They should
just gradually work their way up in the polls. They'll
be part of this conversation. What I do think is

(01:05:30):
way more interesting, though, is what's going on in the
group of six. I was gonna say, we got to
talk some American football. The American specifically is gonna get
real weird. So there was a game earlier in the
week between Tulane and Memphis. Tulane scored on their first
play from scrimmage, which was a sixty five yard touchdown
pass from Jake Retz Left to Chaz Preston Preston, great name, chazm.

(01:05:56):
Tulane then keeps it going for the rest of the
first half. They put up thirty five points. They build
what looks like a very comfortable lead, but then Memphis
in the second half holds Tulane to just three points.
Right at the start of the third quarter, they get
a field goal, but nothing from that point forward. Memphis

(01:06:16):
goes on this late charge in the fourth quarter. They
score fifteen points late. They have a chance at it
late but then fail to convert on a fourth and
eight from Tulane's thirty five yard line. So felt like
they were out of it. They worked their way back
into this thing late. Thirty eight to thirty two was
your final. Memphis was favored in this one. Remember Tulane,

(01:06:40):
I think I lost the week before to Utsa, So
things are kind of all jostled about in the American
right now. Really good game from both these quarterbacks, right,
Jake Retz left for a good chunk of this game
is on fire. Get a really good game. But Tulane
winning definitely introduces a bit of complexity into where things

(01:07:02):
stand in the American And then you layer on top
of that what went down with the South Florida UTSA game,
which wasn't a gigantic surprise in that USF one. It
was a surprise though in the manner that they won.
And this is from our friend Stuart mandel Over at
the Athletic quote, never seen anything like this. First quarter

(01:07:22):
UTSA first drive, pick six, UTSA second drive, stripsack touchdown. Yeah,
utsa third drive, a punt muffed by USF. And then
he did an updated tweet later saying that USF had
run thirteen plays and somehow was leading by a thirty

(01:07:43):
five to dead margin, which is just not something you
see outside of video games. Damn no.

Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
This is like if solid wife Kate were to come home.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
Like, you'll never believe the day I had.

Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
So I park a place I always park, three tickets,
then I go into the grocery store, slip on grapes
right that this is just UTSAS day.

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
It USF's day. Excuse me, us F, excuse me. Yeah,
USF had a forty five to ten halftime lead. Yeah,
they put the game away early. So what does all
of this mean? If you are in the American right now,
teams that you want to be are North Texas m
H and USF right for a rematch in the American Championship.

(01:08:29):
North Texas has the inside track right now because they've
by far got the easiest schedule from here on out.
If you're USF, you gotta beat Navy next week. Okay,
not easy. I don't think that's going to be. Well,
it depends.

Speaker 2 (01:08:42):
I mean, Blake Corvat didn't play tonight, right Corvaf is
a scratch about an hour before the game.

Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
Yeah, so without him, that definitely is a question. Although
the backup look pretty good. So USF, you gotta beat
Navy next week. The rest of it feels like it
should be smooth sailing. If you're two lane, you're a
huge Navy fan. If you're two lane, you still have
a shot at this thing. You only have one conference loss.
There is definitely a real possibility here that you could

(01:09:09):
find your way into this conversation before long. But you
need a little bit of help. I think. Okay, that
is my back of the Napkin math about five minutes
before going live here. But those three teams right now,
well we're going to see two of those three teams
end up getting into this scene to play for the
American Yeah, I think I still think even though Memphis lost,

(01:09:31):
the winner of the American is going to end up
being the representative in the playoff. There could be a
case to be made for James Madison out of the
Sun Belt, but I don't know if the schedule is
strong enough.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
Yeah, and James Madison will potentially have a win against
Washington State and app State, whatever that means to you.

Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Continue. And then the other element of this is what
about the Mountain West.

Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
Well, that's the at time of recording being affected dramatically
as San Diego State is getting destroyed by Hawaii.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
So that's taking care.

Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
Look, we talked about the November Feast tie, and it's
not the one happening on that Thursday in a few weeks. No,
it's college football. It's currently thirty one to six the
time with this recording, Hawaii at home in Honolulu over
San Diego State, who, by the way, to this point,
has been led by their defense. I have not watched
the second of this game. When you're losing thirty one
to six, it may be the case where the defense

(01:10:24):
is not coming through. Tonight, we got a bunch of
great calls, nice verbal three.

Speaker 1 (01:10:32):
Our guys, Shay cut them up put them together, said
I didn't know what to expect this week. Didn't have
a bunch of headliner type games. Right, you never know
what you're going to get when you open up the
reverb line. He went to bat for this week though,
and said, this was a fantastic batch. So let's have listen.
Here're your week eleven reverbs.

Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
I was out doing aerons during most of the Penn
State game, eating some meatballs, looking at some York grubin bookshelves.
Of course, so I wasn't paying super close attention. But
it looks like the Hoosiers got another classic easyw anyone
else feel the need to dry?

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
He's Dan Hi.

Speaker 4 (01:11:09):
It's Will in San Diego.

Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
This is Squishy in New York.

Speaker 6 (01:11:12):
Hi, guys, Grandma being some riggan here.

Speaker 1 (01:11:15):
I'm going to kill the jinks with kindness.

Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
You're still my favorite.

Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
Go duck say Hi.

Speaker 7 (01:11:21):
Looks like the Walk of the Week curse is over?

Speaker 4 (01:11:24):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (01:11:27):
Time to run a Heisman campaign for Radica Sathington? Curse
is broken?

Speaker 7 (01:11:32):
Curses broken people gig a baggie.

Speaker 4 (01:11:35):
Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in.

Speaker 7 (01:11:38):
Tulane goes on the road and whips Memphis Roway.

Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
I think Boston College might be bad at football, but I'm.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
Gonna withhold judgment. We should know a lot more about
this team come December.

Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
It just cratches just the right part of my brain
that Trinidad went for three hundred and thirty three yards
and three touchdowns today. Win every game in front of you.
Beats to hotty totty, Good evening, Dan and Ti. This
was Mike from the Mean Streets.

Speaker 3 (01:12:05):
Of the Easton back in twenty fifteen, the last time
Penn State won a games. Now I'm dirty Mike from Bethlehem,
and I almost saw Penn State win over a top
rank team. Who knows where I'll actually be and who
I'll actually be when Penn State does get a win.

Speaker 7 (01:12:21):
If Georgia wanted good cruck pot recipes, they could have
just asked Mississippi pot roast his famous They didn't have
to throw all of klanga in rude.

Speaker 5 (01:12:31):
I am at Arizona Stadium in Tucson and just wanted
to say the Wildcats are ball eligible for the very
first time since jud Fish. Hi. This is EJ calling
in from Dundee, Illinois.

Speaker 6 (01:12:43):
From a good friend's wedding after seeing my Wisconsin Badgers.

Speaker 7 (01:12:47):
Get their first ranked win.

Speaker 5 (01:12:48):
He's twenty twenty one on Wisconsin.

Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
Baby.

Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Let's see how many passing yards it takes to beat
the Washington Huskies.

Speaker 1 (01:12:54):
In twenty twenty five forty eight passing yards twenty four
from the punter. That's a lot of yards.

Speaker 6 (01:13:01):
I am simply inspired by the multitude away in which
Penn State can disappoint. It really takes a spotlight off
of us fans of other disappointing teams. Sincerely, an LSU fan.

Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
Wahu fops, I'll see you at the May bowle baby watching.

Speaker 7 (01:13:18):
The Husker UCLA games. Do we have a new isisole
flock of seagulls thing going on here?

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
Or what's up?

Speaker 4 (01:13:27):
So you're telling me fran Brown, hasn't you soaked since
September twentieth? Or we can use.

Speaker 5 (01:13:33):
The guests who just got murdered tracked for Kentucky Florida.

Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
Is wake Forest the Sanos of the ACC.

Speaker 4 (01:13:42):
I'll hang up and listen.

Speaker 7 (01:13:43):
I want to tell all the people who've complained about
friends who did fall weddings to get over it. My
wife did a fall political campaign that throws a ranch
in duf but she won biggest win of the season.

Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
Hi, this is steveson Atlanta, Georgia calling about a stork
for the Indiana Hoosiers.

Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
With their win and Northwestern's loss, the FDS record for
most all time losses have been passed from the Hoosiers.

Speaker 4 (01:14:06):
To the Wildcats. Let's go ten Indiana, smoke them.

Speaker 6 (01:14:10):
You got the coach stick wins.

Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
Again ten Windy Ana. I have a bone to pick
with some of the people that called in oh because
of the curse stuff. The curse is not broken.

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Tie is against the spread. Curse not outright for entertainment person.

Speaker 1 (01:14:25):
Try to keep up people. Yeah, this curse is alive
and well yeah, I went oh for six on picks
this week. Yeah he's Vader Ham Lincoln oh for six
and I went like one out of five last week.

Speaker 2 (01:14:39):
But people don't know at this point because it's become
a bit if you are picking teams earnestly or if
this is a commerce thing for you for.

Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
Quick not benefiting financially from this big charity is.

Speaker 4 (01:14:57):
Here.

Speaker 1 (01:14:57):
Here is what I promised the verbowler. Okay, okay, what
I promise of verballer hood is I will not do
anything to try and jinks or reverse jinks. My own teams. Okay,
all right, the rest of it, he has a code.
The rest of it based on the obvious success we
just had this week. I will save for applications that

(01:15:20):
I get from the verballer hood. I will not try
to purposely do this. I don't want to wear it out,
because if you do anything too much, then you kind
of lose the mistique.

Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
Well, will you jinx the same team multiple times?

Speaker 1 (01:15:32):
Or will you? I am happy to do so. I'm
happy to do so.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
Okay, but so you'll repeat. This is not a what's
it called? When you're like the kind of pool where
you pick NFL teams? Right, No, you can only pick
them one survivor pool. No survivor pool. This is not
a jink survivor situation.

Speaker 1 (01:15:47):
No, no, no, no, no no no. So listen. If you
have a situation where you want me to a jinx
an opponent, you need to send an application to Selve
verbaltgmail dot com. If your application is accept that, I
will tell you. At that point, you need to make
your donation, send me your receipt. Once we have receipts,
once we know that everything is official, then I'll do
the jinks. Okay, that's how this is gonna work. We're

(01:16:09):
gonna do it to benefit charity, not to benefit us. Okay,
but I'm telling you I I had to shiver down
my spine when Wisconsin won that game where I was
down here it was just me and the dogs, and
I woke the dog up because I was pacing the room. Literally,
what have I become? I don't know. It's it's still college.

(01:16:32):
Am I a witch?

Speaker 5 (01:16:33):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:16:34):
What is going on with this? But it's not out
of nowhere? You basically, Look, I'm not going to say
that everybody was picking Wisconsin.

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
I've never been able to control it before like this though.
You know, if you've watched X Men, how they kind
of like teach them to like shoot the beams and stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:16:48):
Like.

Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
I knew the power was there, I didn't know how
to channel it, right, Okay, And so I'm freaking myself
out a little bit with this.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
But I think it's real. I really it's real. So
our first true proven evidence of the occult is you
picking Power conference football games incorrectly?

Speaker 1 (01:17:14):
I believe that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
Yeah, Okay, I'm just making sure. By the way, when
we were talking about Vanderbilt Auburn and I was talking
about Diego Pavia only knowing whatever was three to five
plays seven plays in my head. I was also trying
to workshop a nickname, and I just couldn't land the plane,
and I wanted to just I don't know. I don't

(01:17:35):
know if you have better ideas. I was gonna go
Diego z empic Colon taking shots to help you lose.
I think it's okay, it's too wordy.

Speaker 1 (01:17:44):
To it's you need to streamline that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Diego zampiic Colon taking shots to help you lose. But
like the you is unclear. Obviously it's about the opponent
of Vanderbilt. So I don't know I'll get there, but
I just want you to know where my mind was
while we were talking about that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
Appreciate your honesty. This is your show about honesty. Of course,
you were giving a counterpoint. Cam Coleman may not be good. No,
I think he's good. I just I don't think he's
he's not bulletproof. He's made a bunch of mistakes. Oh
he's ridiculous. He's so good. All right, Uh should we
do doodle arts? Let's do it?

Speaker 5 (01:18:19):
All right?

Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
I already called out the running back from Rutgers. He
gets my dude alert.

Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
And I guess we called out Joe Fignano. I don't
know how he pronounce his name, the Yukon quarterback. Yeah,
he had a good game. Jake Retz laugh completely went off.
Nate Fraser for Georgia. Keewan Brown the Louisville running back
and a losing effort was really good. It was, you know,
the passing game of defense that let Louisville down. It
wasn't the defense wasn't that bad. It was over. They

(01:18:45):
have twenty nine points in overtime. McKay lemon for USC.
By the way, another one Malik Washington on the ground
in a losing effort Maryland Rutgers uh. And then Jacob
de Jesus for for Cal receiver as well, had a
big day through the air and helping to win that game.
So I guess that that was a double dude Gamecal game.

(01:19:07):
I don't know, that wasn't a planned thing. I don't
know if there was anybody else. I mean, it was
a dude throw Dante mor to Malik Benson, all things
considered in that moment. In Atticus Sappington for.

Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
Oregon, I think that all checks out. Dan real name
Atticus Sappington.

Speaker 8 (01:19:22):
I mean he does he go by Addie or something
shorter Cuscus Sappy, Sappy, all Sappy, Yeah, his custom bourbon yeah,
all Sappy Reserve.

Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
It's late at night, ty, and I'm losing it is late. Look.
Thank you to one and all for tuning in. We've
had a bunch of people tune into the live YouTube
stream here, some of us sending in super chats and whatnot.
We appreciate that we had a lot to discuss on
the Week eleven reaction episodes, so I don't think we
had enough time to in earnest, go through comments and

(01:20:00):
talk about some of the ideas that are flowing around
out there. But we promised that we'll do that next time,
just because we felt like we had a lot that
we needed to unpack here in Week eleven. It was
a great week games Again. You called it screw It Saturday.
I think to some extent it lived up to that.
We had somebody send in the idea that maybe it
should have been stiff Arm Saturday. With the way that

(01:20:20):
some of the top performance were able to shush away
some of these threats, it is going to get crazy here,
and I hope everybody realizes that over the next four
weeks or so, you know, I think there is always
this risk with a week like Week eleven, where you
don't have these obvious headliner games, that you kind of

(01:20:42):
get lulled into this false sense of security. I am
urging people not to let themselves do that because I
looked at the slate for week twelve, for Week thirteen,
for Week fourteen, and what I believe is to come
in the Conference championship week. I think it's going to
get really freaking weird rest of the way. And this
is not just me saying that because I want you

(01:21:03):
to tune into the next episodes. I honestly believe these
next few weeks are gonna be wild. So if you've
made it this far, please hit follow, please hit subscribes
that you don't miss any of those episodes, that you
can be with us here in the Verballer hood as
all the stuff breaks and we find out what kind
of wacky turns twenty twenty five season takes Wisconsin, Indiana.

Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Next week we actually have kind of like a viable
entertainment Friday night maybe Clemson, Louisville, Minnesota, Oregon Double hatter YEP.
I think Wrigley Field is hosting a game next week.
We got a bunch of stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
I can't wait. I am very excited, not just to
be doing this show with you, but to be out
