Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Minnesota Vikings are really really really really really really
really lucky because of what happened this past weekend in
the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings played on Thursday, not Sunday
and lost to the Los Angeles Rams, which opened the
(00:21):
door for many, many things to happen, and some of
them did and some of them didn't. And we're going
to dive into that on today's podcast. But let me
tell you first about Hokland Farm beef. Hopeland Farm has
the best rotationally grades one percent of grass fed beef.
This beef is on quarters and halves, and they have
(00:43):
cost some sample packs so you can try before you buy.
Hopland Farm has ground beef, steaks, chuck ROAs, and more.
My wife and I are participators in Hopeland Farm beef
and it was four dollars and fifteen cents a pound
compared to Walmart. You go to get a chuck rose
(01:03):
and it's like seven to eight dollars a pound. You
get ground beef, it's like five dollars a pound. It
makes absolutely the most sense to get Hokeland Farm beef financially, physically, mentally,
all the above. It's rotationally great, it's grass fit, it's
the good stuff. There's no antibiotics, there's no garbage in
(01:26):
this stuff. Contact Hokland Farm today at nine five two
four nine one five for one and tell them you
heard about them on the Minnesota Tip podcast and get
twenty percent off your first order. Nine five two four
nine one five for one. Okay, So back to the
(01:46):
Minnesota Vikings. Why were they so lucky this weekend? Did
you see the play? Did you see the play that
changed their feet on Sunday? So, the Minnesota Vikings were
number one in the division just what a week ago before?
They played the Detroit Lions a week and a day ago.
(02:10):
They're perfect, five and zero, ride in the High Life.
Everything's looking good. And then they lose to the Detroit
Lions thirty one to twenty nine. And then I kind
of warned everybody. I said, I wouldn't be surprised if
they lost to the Rams. I didn't expect Puka Nakuda play.
I knew Cooper Cup was gonna play. I actually predicted
the Minnesota Vikings to win because I did not know
(02:32):
Puka Nkula was gonna play. And they lost, which put
the Minnesota Vikings record at what they five and two
now which opened the door for the Green Bay Packers
and Chicago Bears to pass them in the NFL divisional standings,
(02:55):
the best division in the NFL, the NFC North, and Hell,
Jaden Daniels did this, dropped backs to pass, scrambling out
to his right, Chicago Bears chasing him. Oh, I'm gonna
go out the other way. This is the beauty of
(03:16):
Jaden Daniels and Lamar Jackson. Throw down the field, doesn't
even get to the end zone, gets like the one
yard line, guy pops up, goes right to number eighty five.
Plus there was a video the guy that popped it
back up and went to number eighty five was haunting
to Washington Commanders fans as the play was starting. He
(03:39):
didn't even realize that it was on him, and someone
who's smarter than me and does the football stuff says
that the guy who caught the ball was the guy
that number twenty nine was supposed to be following. So
because of this play, the Minnesota Vikings are not last
(04:00):
place in the NFC North. Oh, how quickly it changes
from Super Bowl contenders to being offended that you know
the ESPN power rankings or whatever power rankings are out
there don't have the Minnesota Vikings high enough on their lists.
(04:21):
And it was a fun, exciting five weeks of the season,
even to the point where I started questioning if the
Minnesota Vikings are a top three team in the NFL.
Here's the difference. They were playing like a top three
team in the NFL. Their record showed that they were
(04:43):
a top three team in the NFL. There's no question
or doubt about those things. But what I questioned was
their level of consistency throughout the regular season. You look
at is this maintainable? Can they continue this run? Is
(05:05):
there something off in this record? Who I think about
the two van can you go touchdowns? I think about
the Minnesota Vikings defense playing out of their mind and
giving the Minnesota Vikings offense amazing field position where it's
just like one play touchdown, one play touchdown, two plays touchdown.
That happened so much in the first five weeks of
(05:25):
the season to the point where I was like, you
know what, there's something wrong here. And I turned on
the podcast, hit the record button, turn on the camera,
turned on my road caster pro Duo, and I said
this to everybody that was a part of my channel,
that was watching, and you've got to be careful. You've
(05:48):
got to ride the medium. Got to ride the medium.
Don't drive in the fast lane calling the Vikings Super
Bowl contenders. Don't drive in this lane calling the Minnesota
Vikings pretenders. Yet you don't have to say that yet.
You can drive in the middle. They're playing really good football,
(06:11):
they're playing out of their minds. But there will be
a day when they lose some games. And right now
they are better than anyone expected that they would be,
including the betting markets that had them set at six
and six and a half wins this season. So ride
the medium. Be careful, Minnesota Vikings fans. This is my
(06:32):
warning to you, because it's coming when the Vikings lose,
and that narrative's gonna shift, and then you're gonna fall
into the trap of oh Cole Kevin o'condo sucks. Sam
Darnold sucks, The Vikings defense sucks. Just gotta be careful.
Can't let your motion get ahead of you. Gotta think.
(06:54):
This is my warning to you. The Minnesota Vikings opened
up as seven points favorites against the Indianapolis Colts, which
got flexed to prime time on Sunday night football is
a game that I would expect the Vikings to win,
but they're competitive with the Houston Texans. I'm not saying
that's an easy, chop it up victory for the Vikings.
(07:16):
Hopefully Tej Hockinson's bag. Hopefully that opens things up for
the struggling Minnesota Vikings offense right now. Sam Donalds came
back to life, not nearly the same Sam donald he
was for the first five weeks of the season, and
I said he regressed last week and everyone threw the dats.
He was twenty two for twenty seven, one touchdown, one pick.
(07:36):
How was that regression? Well, did you see what he
was doing the first four weeks of the season. Yeah,
eleven touchdowns, three pigs. It was leading the NFL by
three touchdowns. After Week five, It's regression, all right. I
was gonna read the NFC North records too. The lines
(07:57):
are six and one, the Packers are six and two,
the Minnesota Vikings are five and two, and the Chicago
Bears are four and three. Thanks to a Jaden Daniels
hail mary and a number twenty nine tip from the
Chicago Bears defense, which worked out super luckily in the
Minnesota Vikings faver. But what is the problem going forward
(08:21):
for the Vikings this season is that, you know, with
all those records that he just said, with the best
division in football, and it's really not even close, you
still play the Lions again, you still play the Packers again,
and you still play the Bears twice. That's four games.
The Minnesota Vikings are five and two, so they've played
(08:43):
seven games. So how many is that they play seventeen
games in a season? They have ten games left, so
half of their schedule practically is against tough divisional opponents.
And you just hope you has split, right, I mean, well,
obviously you're gonna split with the Packers at the least,
(09:04):
but the Detroit Lions, you just hope that you can
beat them at Ford Field in Detroit. And the Drichicago Bears,
you just hope you split with them too, because they're
a tough opponent this year. So I mean, I split
is the best case scenario for the Minnesota Vikings this
season with these teams, just because they're so good, not
(09:25):
that the Vikings are so bad, but the division is
so good. So anyways, the Vikings got super lucky that
they are not last in the NFC North What seven
days later after having a perfect record. Crazy how quickly
it shifts, isn't it. Anyways, thank you for watching this
