Speaker 2 (00:23):
We've got a jam pack show today and.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I've got a big time conspiracy theory to deliver and
that is coming very soon. And there was also a
graphic shared on x posted by the Best Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Account on X around the Purple Persuasion.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
The Purple Persuasion somehow grabs things from everywhere and posts
them in one place, from insiders locally and nationally, from
radio hosts from the Minnesota to podcasts when I have
guests on. This guy snakes everything from everywhere. So if
you have not yet already, check out the Purple Persuasion
(01:13):
Twitter account and he posted this graphic which came from
somewhere else, but he reposted it to his site and
it says this most playoff losses in NFL history. The
Minnesota Vikings of course lead the way with thirty two.
The Dallas Cowboys have thirty one, the Pittsburgh Steelers have
(01:35):
twenty nine, the Los Angeles Rams have twenty eight, and
the Green Bay Packers have twenty seven. And I think
our first reaction is to play the victim card and say,
oh my word, the Minnesota Viking somehow have the worst
statistic in most playoff losses in NFL history. Shame on us,
(01:59):
will always Minnesota. It's so hard living here, it's called
it's brutal. The sports team suck, and the sports teams
have not won a title and are one of the
most cursed sports markets anywhere.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
So there's no doubt about that.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
But when I take a look at this thirty two
playoff losses, the most in the NFL history, I actually
think that's more of a compliment than really anything else,
because it shows that the Minnesota Vikings have put themselves
in a position to have playoff losses. The Dallas Cowboys
(02:45):
house super Bowls. The Dallas Cowboys, if they made the
playoffs this year, they would be right where the Minnesota
Vikings are at with most playoff losses, but they aren't
because they didn't make the playoffs. So this is truly
a compliment towards the consistency of the Minnesota Vikings organization
(03:10):
over time, and what do you really think about it?
When is the last time the Minnesota Vikings turned in
a two and fourteen season a three and thirteen season.
It's been a long time. It's been years, going back
to Christian Ponder. So, yes, this is one of those
(03:31):
stats that Minnesota Vikings fans put their name on it
and claim it and say.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Oh why ah, But when you really look into it,
it's really a testament to how consistent the Minnesota Vikings
organization has been in making the playoffs and giving themselves
a chance to.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Win playoff games. Yeah, or the word team in the
league at losing playoff games, But that shows me that
they're actually making the playoffs. So I think that's kind
of a good thing, all right. As for my conspiracy theory,
and there's no fact yet that has come out about this,
(04:17):
but as the days go on and as information comes out,
the Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Donald clearly struggled in.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
The final two weeks of the year.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
And here's the stats, shared by Alec Lewis on x
says this Pro Football Reference tracks poor throws throws that
weren't catchable with normal effort. Sam Donald's poor throws in Detroit,
he had thirteen. Sam Donald's poor throws versus the Los
Angeles Rams, he had ten before those two games. His
(04:57):
highest number of poor throws will was eight in Week fourteen.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Against the Chicago Bears. So that's the stat.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
And then someone else did some further deep diving on
Donald's season and said this this comes from Krauser on
x Donald's bad throws first sixteen games sixty four, twelve
point seven percent. Donald's bad throws his last two games
(05:31):
twenty three. That's twenty eight point four percent of his throws.
The league average for the season was fifteen point nine percent.
Donald's drop off over the last two games was comparable
to going from Joe Burrow at eleven point six percent
to Anthony Richardson at twenty eight point zero percent, worst
(05:55):
in the league. And here's where the conspiracy theory comes in.
Sam Darnald signed a one year, ten million dollar contract
with the Minnesota Vikings. He is entering unrestricted free agency
this offseason unless the Minnesota Vikings franchise take him to
a one year, forty one million dollar deal, which it
(06:17):
appears likely that that is not going to happen. Following
his two catastrophic games of the season.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I am going to.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Bet that sometime in the next few weeks it gets
leaked or reported that Sam Darnald was suffering an injury
during the final few weeks of the season, and that
is going to be the excuse from the representatives of
(06:51):
Sam Darnald on why he did not.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Perform well the final two weeks of the year.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Ah how many times his hand got hit on an
offensive line or a defensive lineman's helmet.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
We've heard that throughout.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
The season he was battling injuries, whether it be his foot.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Or ankle or hand.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
We've seen him come out of a few snaps during
the course of the regular season because he got banged up.
We saw him limping a few games late in the
season because his ankle turned differently, his hand got knocked
around uncomfortably, and we've seen him shake his hand.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
We've seen him limp on the field.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
So I'm going to believe and share that My conspiracy
theory is that there will be a report that leaks
to a reporter that shares that Sam Donald is undergoing
a procedure, a surgery, is going to take months off
(08:03):
because he needs to recover from this injury.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
And that is going to be the reason why Donald
did not play well.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Now that's coming from Donald's agency, That's coming from Donald's representatives.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Now, he held out of the ball.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Way too long in the final two weeks of the
year against the Rams, What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Paul Allen almost.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Burstedt a van because of how frustrated he was at
Sam Donald.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
For holding onto the football too long.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
And when I take a look at the stats that
were posted first.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Sixteen games, sixty four.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Passes that weren't catchable from Donald, and in his final
two games he had twenty three.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Donald's stock was.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
At an all time high and his agency was licking
their chops.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
They were going crazy.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
They were feeling themselves like, yeah, we're gonna get fifty
million dollars on the market easily this offseason. And then
the crash happened the final two weeks of the year,
and now everyone is wondering, like, well, the Vikings even
want Sam Donald back, The Raiders, the Giants, bad teams
(09:19):
in the league will still pursue Donald and try to
sign him to a deal, but it's certainly not as
high as it would have.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Been if not for these last two weeks of the year.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
So that's why the conspiracy theory comes in and says,
and I'm gonna believe that it's gonna be reported that
he was battling something internally, battling something with injury these
final two weeks of the year. You see it happen
all the time. And this is a game right now.
It's a game. The agency of Sam Donald is going
(09:53):
to try to get top dollar from the Minnesota Vikings
or some other organization.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
And in order for Sam.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Darnold to completely sell himself to a franchise to an organization,
someone needs to come with a you know, the reason
why he played poorly is because he was dinged up.
He was more injured than anybody wanted.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
To let on. So that's why he struggled.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
That's why he performed poorly against the Rams and the Lions.
So it's just a prediction, and I think that that
prediction is going to come true. It's not like predicting
a score of like twenty seven to twenty four.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
It's not predicting a score where it's like, Okay, you're.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Just throwing crap out a wall and hoping it sticks.
That's what scoring predictions are. It is okay, this guy's
gonnacore touchdown, there's gonna twenty seven twenty four. Sounds nice.
I guess whatever. Trying to predict a scorer is throwing
crap at a wall. But this prediction of a report
coming out about Sam Darnald sharing that he was injured,
(11:06):
sharing that he was banged up, sharing that he was
not healthy during the final weeks of the NFL season
to preserve some value, I believe that's gonna be right,
because why wouldn't you.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
If I was Sam.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
Donald's agent, I would say something like that because that
is how they are gonna get the most value out
of Sam Darnald this offseason. Oh, he was battling an injury.
That's why he wasn't throwing the ball very well. That's
why he threw it behind Jalen Nato. That's why he
threw it behind Justin Jefferson. That's why he overthrew these guys.
(11:43):
It wasn't the adrenaline or the nerves. The guy had
a broken finger. The guy's finger was not healthy. The
guy's ankle wasn't quite there. He needs a procedure to
repair it, and then he'll be back to one hundred percent,
and then he'll be back to the thirty five touchdown
twelve and or seven option Sam Donald that we saw
to the first sixteen weeks of the regular season. So
(12:05):
just a prediction, just a conspiracy theory on Sam Donald
and what happened during the final few weeks of this
regular season. All right, thank you for watching, Thank you
