Speaker 1 (00:06):
Minnesota Vikings fans are probably going to hate me following
this episode, but I don't give a damn. I'm one
hundred percent honest, one hundred percent of the time, regardless
of situation, and I'm just a straight shooter. And if
you have a problem with that, well maybe you have
some sensitivity issues because on this episode, I'm gonna deliver

(00:30):
the hard truth about JJ McCarthy, which I'm not saying
anything that's a shot at JAJ McCarthy. So I want
you to pay attention closely to my words because what
you are going to hear is not going to represent

(00:54):
how you're actually feeling, because what I'm saying is not
actually a shot at JJ McCarthy. Although I'm going to
predict that you will be all in your feelings following
this episode. Thank you for joining. It's a pleasure to
have you here. I need you to first check out

(01:18):

different ideas. Six week project, eight week project, ah We're

gonna be stuck in our teeny tiny bathroom downstairs, getting
ready for work, getting ready for the day, taking times,
going piss and that just didn't sound fun. And then
we stumbled across five Star Bass Solutions of Minneapolis. They
remodeled their bathroom in forty eight hours, and we had
our bathroom back in no time. And it is the

dream bathroom. Plus they have affordable payment plans and free consultations.

ugly step, disgusting floors, embarrassing mold sink, gross vanity, outdated.
Everything about our bathroom was nasty, straight up nasty. They
came in and remodeled our floors, our bathtub, our showers, surround,
our new vanity, a new sink, they did it all,

(02:44):
and a new mirror, and they did this all in
forty eight hours, and we had our bathroom back. It's
like a flick of the finger, snap of the finger,
a flick of the finger, like a flick and a booger.
It's like a snap of the finger. Five Star Bass
Solutions of Minneapolis will give you your dream bathroom in

(03:05):
forty eight hours. Check them out today and be a
happy customer like my wife and I are today. All right,
So J J. McCarthy, what am I going to talk
about today? The title is going to be beware of Meaningless.
JJ McCarthy compliments because it is the time of season

(03:25):
where players go to the podium, coaches disclose in radio
interviews just how fascinating McCarthy looks in training camp or
in practice. They talk about the way he throws the ball,

(03:49):
the tight spiral, the confidence. And this is not a
shot at McCarthy, but the point of this episode is
to tell you just how meaningless these quotes are that
get everybody so hyped and so excited about the future

(04:12):
quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, because if you read the
quote on its service, you're like, this is our guy.
This is the guy that is going to take us
out of the Championship of Best and he is going
to lead us to new heights. And we are going
to the freaking super Bowl for the first times of
the nineteen seventies, and we're not just gonna go to

(04:34):
the super Bowl, but we're gonna win the super Bowl.
And that's what these quotes give you. These quotes give
you an amount of excitement and a hype about this
player because right now we are so anticipating McCarthy's presence
in training camp. By the way, hype videos before season start,

(05:00):
everybody loves them. I hate them. Everybody gets excited about him.
I can't stand him. Because what hype videos are meant
to do is they really serve their purpose of getting
fans excited for the season at getting people hyped up.
But what it also creates is a specific bias and

(05:23):
a misunderstanding of what's being done or what's actually happening. TJ.
Hockinson is the latest guilty player on the Minnesota Vikings
organization to make a meaningless statement about J J. McCarthy.
This is what he said. His arm talent is there,

(05:46):
he's got a sick arm. I told him this the
other day. I said, I remember catching passes from Matthew
Stafford and it's one of those balls and it just
zips on you. This is a quote that is going
to get the Minnesota Vikings Purple fans excited and enthused

(06:11):
for what McCarthy is going to bring the Vikings organization
at the quarterback position. But my overall arching point is
that this kind of quote is one hundred percent meaningless.
It doesn't matter. He compared McCarthy's arm to Matthew Stafford's arm,

(06:39):
and it doesn't matter. Can he make the throws in
the game? And the reason why it doesn't matter, I've
got examples. If you look at one of the all
time greatest quarterback bus in NFL history, and you look

(06:59):
at his first practices with the team, you're gonna see
similar quotes from his teammates. Oakland Raiders' first overall pick,
JaMarcus Russell clearly talented, biggest bust one of them in

(07:20):
NFL history. This is what they had to say. D'Angelo Hall,
longtime veteran in the NFL, said this about his quarterback.
He can whip that thing into small places in a heartbeat.
That's pretty meaningless. Raiders receiver Carrie Porter. It looks like

(07:42):
someone hired a jugs machine and put a jersey on it. Man,
he can throw the ball. I see why he's the
first overall pick. Josh McCown, Minnesota Vigy's quarterback coach was
the backup on the Radar roster. This is what he
says that speaks to his character. He's a kid who

(08:05):
wants to learn. When you get special players like that,
who have the talent and the will to learn, that's
when you get greatness. The sky's the limit for him.
If he maintains this attitude and continues to learn and
be open to grow, I think you'll see him develop
rather quickly. All of these quotes are about JaMarcus Russell,

(08:29):
one of the all time busts in NFL history. And
you could go across the board look an NFL bus
at the quarterback position or at any position, and what
you are going to see are meaningless compliments towards them
in a practice or in quotes that really don't mean

(08:51):
a single thing. There's one player on the Raiders roster
that really killed it in the quote, and want to
give him a shout out. Ronald Curry, Raiders receiver. He's
the only one that had realistic thoughts about the Raiders
quarterback after his practice says this, I think we'll have

(09:13):
to have a realistic goals for the guy. Everyone else
is going to put a lot of pressure on him.
It's just the first day. The playbook is small for everybody.
It's Taylor down. I don't think you can get a
true indication of what he can do right now. Thank
you Ronald Curry for bringing common sense and a correct

(09:38):
observation to the table, because this is the time of
year when all you hear are compliments. Oh Macarthy's doing
this amazingly. Well, oh he's got such a command of
the huddle. The dude throws it like Matthew Stafford's zips

(10:00):
on you. What does that even mean? Sure, it's a compliment,
but what it is is a meaningless compliment. So you
need to beware because all of these quotes are going
to be coming out between now and the start of
the regular season. But what needs to be remembered is

(10:27):
that right now is the most meaningless point of the
NFL schedule. You're throwing to wide receivers wide open, You're
taking drop backs like it's a pro day, and yeah,
if you look poorly when there's receivers wide open and
running down the field, well then there's a big issue.

(10:49):
You're expected to hit wide receivers running down the field
wide open. So I just want us to take a break,
take a chill pill. I'm not saying McCarthy is going
to be a bust. I'm not saying that he can't
zip it like Matthew Stafford. All I'm saying is that
the compliment is completely meaningless because just because he can

(11:14):
zip it like Matthew Stafford does not necessarily mean he's
Matthew Stafford. It does not mean he can play like
Matthew Stafford. So I just want to take a chill pill,
take a breath, and I want you guys to understand
the motivation behind these comments, because they're really isn't going

(11:36):
to be a comment at this point in time where yeah,
McCarthy looks terrible, You're never gonna see that from any
player or any coach during NFL OTA programs. So, for
what that's worth, that was topic number one. Topic number two.
This came out a few weeks ago following the NFL

(11:58):
DRAFTY wide receiver Montigo Moss, the son of Hall of
Famer Randy Moss, has accepted an invite to the Vikings
rookie Minicamp. Moss had a terrific senior season, recording sixty
one catches for seven hundred and twenty two yards and
seven touchdowns on his way to earning All CAA honors.

(12:22):
Can we just be one hundred percent honest about what
this is? This is a classic NFL organization public relations
play by the Minnesota Vikings for bringing in Randy Moss's

(12:44):
son into Minnesota Vikings Rookie Minicamp. This is nepotism at
its finest work. And Randy Moss one of my favorite
Vikings players of all time, everybody's favorite Viking player of

(13:04):
all time, sensational talent, all time wide receiver, all time great.
And because of that, his son is receiving an invitation
and has accepted an invitation to Minnesota Vikings rookie mini camp.

(13:26):
A terrific senior season of seven hundred and twenty two
yards and seven touchdowns, recording sixty one catches for Maine.
Is it just me? Or is that not as terrific
as I would think for a wide receiver seven hundred

(13:46):
and twenty two yards. Maybe that's really good in college football.
I guess I don't watch college football that month, specifically Maine.
Maybe Montego Moss is the next Randy Moss. But all
I know is what's true about this situation is that
Holy crap, this makes you feel old when you see

(14:07):
players that you grew up watching like Randy Moss, their
kids graduating college and then signing mini caam deals with
the Minnesota Vikings. Wow, that makes you feel old. That
makes you feel like I saw. I think Ryan Clark
ESPN Race Bader NFL analyst Ryan Clark, he's his son

(14:33):
has also graduated from college and signed a deal with
an NFL team. It's crazy, but let's just call this
what it is. The Minnesota Vikings are putting out a
public relations stunt and creating one by signing Randy Moss,

(14:55):
and I have no problem with that, but let's just
call it what it is. If you're honest and say,
is a PR play cool? Fine, good for you, but
let's not pretend like this is anything more than that. Okay,
My last thing or topic that I want to talk

(15:17):
about comes from a political commentary commentator. The guy's name
is Steven Miller, and that'll get too political on this show.
But I saw this video of Steven Miller and he's

(15:41):
a guy inside the Trump administration. And when I watched
this video, I just had to play it because this
is as big of an own as you will ever
see from someone inside an administration give to the media,

(16:02):
because the truth of the matter is that the media
versus the Trump administration likes to point out, well, why
are you getting rid of all of these gang members
of MS thirteen. Don't they have a right? I mean,
look at the Maryland guy that the media portrayed as

(16:26):
some sort of victim who's over here as a hired
sex trafficker. He's a victim. And this guy, Steven Miller
just completely owns the media here. Take a watch, take
a look at this video.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
First never covered her story when it happened to the
extent that you covered it at all. It was because
President Trump forced you to cover it by highlighting it repeatedly,
over and over again. He had to shame you into
covering it. And each and every one of you decides
over and over again with these mester teen terrorists to
the extent that you at the financial means to do so.

(17:10):
You all choose to live in condos or homes or
houses as far away from these kinds of gang bangers
as you possibly can. If I offered any one of
you a rent free home with no taxes to pay,
in any of these gang neighborhoods, And I said, your
neighbors are mster ting terrorists or Mexican mafia or Sinaloa
cartel or trained Aragua. I couldn't pay you to live there.

(17:32):
But yet you, with your coverage, are trying to force
innocent Americans to have these people as their neighbors and
that one day their daughter may be abducted from their
home and raped and murdered. So you're not going to
get an ounce of sympathy from this administration or President
Trump for the terrorists who've invaded our homes in our country.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
One of my favorite attacks on the media ever, this
could also be an attack on celebrities too, specific one
ones that like live in Hollywood, because one of the
most annoying things is to hear celebrities talk about the
way that we should feel comfortable living our lives as

(18:11):
they are behind private walls being guarded by security teams.
Twenty four to seven. All let the immigrants in. They
are being treated unfairly. Let them into America. You are
ripping apart families, and you have none of the consequences

(18:34):
for any of the decisions that you are supporting right now.
You see it all the time, especially at like the
Oscars or the Emmys. Every year an actor wins an award,
they go up on stage, I want peace. Why is

(18:56):
the Trump administration getting rid of all of these illegal
alien It is so unfair. Oh, are you at risk
of your life because an illegal alien is living in
your neighborhood? No, that's what's so annoying. And what Steven

(19:17):
Miller is doing in this instance is he's calling out
the media for the same thing. You're going to call
out the Trump administration for getting rid of illegal aliens
when they face none of the consequences for an illegal
alien being in America none. And why do we call

(19:44):
him illegal aliens? Why don't we just call him any
illegal person? Why are they illegal alien anyways? But that's
the overarching point of this is, Yes, you can easily
stand up on your soapbox and call Trump a loser
or a for getting rid of illegal immigrants, But the

(20:04):
truth is you don't have to live near or face
the consequences of having illegal immigrants in the country, So
you can say all the crap that you want to
say about them being here. But the truth of the
matter is you can stand on your soapbox. But you're

(20:26):
not going to go near them. You're not going to
go in their neighborhoods. You're not going to hang out
with them. You're going as far away as possible in
your private neighborhoods with walls. That's why it's so funny
about people complaining about Trump's wall. That was he was
trying to build or is still building. Get rid of
the wall. As I'm surrounded by twenty foot walls in

(20:48):
and around my house because I don't want people trespassing
or in my neighborhood. It's like, what are you smoking?
How are you that delusional? Because that's exactly what it is,
completely delusional and so hypocritical. Anyways, I just saw that

(21:09):
and wanted to talk about that for a little bit.
