Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Minnesota Vikings should fear one person that is a
part of the Chicago Bears organization as they prepare to
face the Bears on Monday Night Football. And on today's podcast,
I'm gonna tell you who that person is, and it
might not be who you're thinking. This podcast is presented
(00:24):
by five Star Bath Solutions of Minneapolis, Affordable Transformations, Beautiful Solutions,
five Star Bath Solutions of Minneapolis. All Right, the line
right now in the Vikings Bears matchup is Vikings minus
(00:45):
one and a half, so it's practically a pick'em game.
And when you look at the line, the first line
of the season has to be the toughest line of
the season as far as the odds makers go, because
nobody's played a game and everybody's record is just a prediction.
(01:12):
Right now. Nobody knows if the Bears are going to
finish eleven and six or eight to nine. Same with
the Vikings, Packers and Lions, and the Vikings going on
the road. Being a one and a half point favorite
feels very fair for all parties involved, for the Bears,
(01:36):
for the Vikings, and this game has been predicted by
many people, and for the most part, I've seen the
Vikings as the predicted team to win, and I don't
(01:57):
have an issue with that. I'm a little bit on
the fence though. I'm really a fifty to fifty in
this one. And there's a little preview for tomorrow's Prediction
podcast with Jake where we go through every single game
of the season and predict the Vikings record. I am
not very confident or as confident as others when it
(02:24):
comes to this Vikings Bears matchup. And it's all because
of this man right here, the mad scientist, because Ben
Johnson is the most unique play caller in the NFL.
(02:47):
And when he'll take a look at Ben Johnson and
what he has done to the Vikings over the past
few seasons, Ben Johnson has got the most out of
Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores. Since becoming the defensive coordinator
(03:13):
of the Minnesota Vikings, Brian Flores is aero and four
against Ben Johnson, calling place as part of the Lions offense.
In those four games, Brian Flores and his defense allowed
(03:36):
thirty plus points per game, averaging thirty one points per game,
and nobody with the sane mind would question how good
the Vikings defense has been with Brian Flores. Now you
(03:56):
need to consider but is happening with that thirty one
points per game? Ben Johnson had Jared Goff as his quarterback,
Jamier Gibbs as his running bank, a'man ross Saint. Completely
different organization Bears compared to Lions, but the play caller
(04:21):
remains the same. And here is why the Vikings should
fear Ben Johnson as an offensive play caller. One. It's
Monday Night football and Ben Johnson in his opening act
is going to want to show off his ability as
(04:45):
head coach. Nobody has been more sought after for their
head coaching vacancy these past two years than Ben Johnson.
And he understands that all eyes are going to be
on Ben Johnson week one in the NFL. How is
(05:09):
he gonna do? Is he gonna live up to the
hype of being this mastermind? And there's a lot of
pressure on it to take Caleb Williams to where he
was from last year and take him to a new
level this year. If he truly is a mastermind, he
can get the most out of Caleb Williams. And from
(05:33):
the outside, when you look at the makeup of Ben Johnson,
you pull up his picture and Ben Johnson looks like
he's as soft as a Lucky Charms marshmallow, But then
you take a look at the reports of the Bear's practice.
(06:00):
On the first day of Bear's practice, he pulls the starters.
Later on there were reports that Caleb Williams huddles are
significant issues with the play clock. And then there's another
report that the Bears in practice were sloppy. Ben Johnson
(06:22):
might look as soft as a Lucky Charms marshmallow, but
he is as tough as an unmilked honeycomb. Have you
ever scraped your teeth against one of those when you've
eaten them without any milking it. Honey combs cereal hurts
(06:42):
without milking it, And that's how I would describe Ben Johnson.
Ben Johnson is not some random opsive coordinator who got
hot one year and a team in a different wanted
to pluck him and find the next guru. Ben Johnson
(07:05):
is different. He has been the hottest offensive coordinator in
the NFL and the most sought after for the last
two to three years, and he turned down jobs last
year with the Washington Commanders because he could, because he
(07:30):
understood that he would be sought after. So as far
as this game goes with the Vikings, they shouldn't be
concerned with Caleb Williams or Rome on Doton'sday. But what
they should be afraid of is the amount of trick
(07:51):
plays Ben Johnson has up his sleeve to impress everybody
on Monday Night football a national stage. Remember last year
I think it was even against the Bears, Jared Goff
took us nap. He pretended to fall over. This was
(08:15):
a play design, but what happened was at froze players
in the Bears secondary just enough for a Lions receiver
to get behind them and then Jared Goff I would
imagine through a touchdown pass. That is the mad scientist
(08:42):
of Ben Johnson. There is no head coach like him.
He thinks outside the box. But here's the problem with
what the Vikings are gonna face with Ben Johnson. He's
not just some random offensive coordinator who wants to run
trick plays and things outside the box. Ben Johnson is
(09:05):
a mad I pay attention to every single detail scientist
running trick plays, and most of them work. You better
believe that the Vikings are preparing for Ben Johnson himself
and the amount of trick plays or unique designs that
(09:29):
he has up his sleeve. And what better situation then
Monday night football in Caleb Williams's the biggest spot since
week one from the prior year to run one of
these trick plays and fool the Vikings defense. So this
is where the Vikings should fear the Bears because of
(09:53):
the history and the attention to detail that Ben Johnson
and presents in this matchup and in future matchups. But
this matchup particularly because when you're participating in a concert,
(10:14):
when you're going to a concert, the opening act is
huge in how that concert feels at the end. You've
got to open that concert with a bang, not a yamfest.
And Ben Johnson is prepared to open his first opening
(10:34):
act with a huge bank. I would guarantee it. Thanks
