Speaker 4 (00:19):
It is grand Master Pop also assisted by Grand Master Tony.
And we had to dig deep and you know, just
you know recruit really not in recruit. We sent a
bottle in the ocean like Nikki did to one of
our great friends of the podcast, your friend of mine.
Speaker 3 (00:35):

How you doing, brother?
Speaker 5 (00:40):
I'm doing good, my boy. How's everyone doing this morning?
Speaker 3 (00:43):
Pretty good? Pretty good?
Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know?
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Sh Usually it's always me, so I guess I just
damn it's awkward passing it to myself today.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Hey, that's why the host passes it to someone else.
We'll start I like talking to myself.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
No, just I'll just jesus hown man, Like, what's you
been on this week?
Speaker 5 (01:05):
It's been straight and straight, be chilling, been working streaming.
Speaker 6 (01:09):
Uh yeah, I'm I'm I'm revisiting my my youth.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
You know.
Speaker 6 (01:14):
I decided to hop back on the Donkey Kong sixty four.
I thought i'd get a whole new run through, you know, and.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
You're playing on the he's emulator.
Speaker 7 (01:24):
I said, if you broke out, bro I could, but
I don't feel like going through all those switches from
the A V to the jack to.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Is. They're not like a converter for that these days.
Speaker 6 (01:41):
I mean, there is a converter for that, but then
you lose some of the quality in it, and they're
gonna look it's already not gonna look the best.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
So I just because I tried to ship on my PS.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
One, that ship was bad, and like I said, I
am using the emulator. So I decided to get me
the O G N sixty four for this ship, you know.
So like I said, I have go ahead and do that.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Wait, so you you got a connection for that? You
get a connection for your N sixty four.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Listen, Wait, I thought the which one ain't that USB?
Speaker 6 (02:10):
No, the switch one, nah, not that I'm aware. I
think it's only wireless. So but but I got a
second one or something. Ya y'all want y'all want it,
y'all want it? And Mario card party whatever we hear.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
That has become a blige USB. They're not.
Speaker 5 (02:27):
Yeah, USB conversion. Nope, just straight USB.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
I thought you went through the trouble of Madi and.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
In the future. Now they got this ship on Amazon.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
We don't have to do that, no motive. I don't.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
I don't need the Rumbo pack. You know, I don't
need the Rumble pack. So I mean, that's like the
only thing about this is that the slot does not work.
It'll it'll hold something, but that's about it. It's just
for show, just for show, that's all it is.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
So and I asked because Marcus used to be one
of those people who would just cut stuff open and
just for no reason.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
For no reason.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Hey, it's called practice. Apprentice makes perfect baby.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
How many controls your breakmarks?
Speaker 5 (03:09):
A lot?
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Too many?
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Don't feel I got a box right now. None of
them business work. I can make them work. Give me
like three.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
He did make my hold up? You know you know
what the hold up?
Speaker 6 (03:23):
But listen, you know what you know even still to
this day, I did for this right here. It was
actually supposed to be Red stopped it off for the
white Yeah, so yeah, I did all that.
Speaker 5 (03:33):
He replaced I replaced some of the crazy. The crazy
part is.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
That my brother had an all white one and it
was messing up, and he had warranty for it at
game stop that said, hey, before you do that, let
me get all the parts off of it real quick.
That's crazy. I took the motor, planted the motor, turned it.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
He heard it. He returned to me.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
How would they check? Yeah, how would they check if
it was confirmable?
Speaker 6 (04:05):
So so technically they could check because if you open
up the battery pack, it has that little plastic piece
on there. But I had some old battery or some
old dor cell battery. I just put them bitches in
there because I mean, he's gonna pop it up in
all right, whatever it's you know.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
What you're not gonna say.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I was thinking, like, don't they check though, because I
remember when I would sell a controller or something, they
pop the battery thing open and check the void sticker.
So I'm surprised. I don't know.
Speaker 6 (04:34):
I don't know if you can see it see oh yeah, yeah,
you know, I have that ship popped. But like I said,
when I went to go return it, you know, he
pops the case off. You know, automatically, you don't see batteries.
You're not gonna think twice like, oh, let me just
check it out, like he's he's been you.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Know, he's been here.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
He's like GameStop games.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
Yeah, I don't get paid enough for this. I don't
get stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
So one job I never regret.
Speaker 4 (05:03):
I mean I never regret working there, but fuck working
their games stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Bro a game Stop, I didn't know that.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
I was damn near manager and then ship I almost
became manager during the seasonal type shit. So it was
like either like they're gonna wanted them, They're gonna keep
you type ships or yeah, but funny.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Minimum wage boy, seven fifty Yeah, I remember that.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
What what year was that?
Speaker 3 (05:34):
This had to be like twenty fourteen fifteen?
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Damn yeah, it's like right when I got when I
dropped out of college type shit.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
No, yeah, I say point where minimum wage was okay,
but no that year.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
I want to say for me, I think it was
two thousand and nine or ten.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
You was in the time when they actually sold nothing
but games before the funko pops.
Speaker 6 (05:58):
Oh yeah, fucking it was uh seven fifty yeah, yeah, that.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Sure was type of shit, bro, Like that's the one
like if game Stop actually paid people, I feel like
it would have worked a lot better than the type
shit and as as aid as a business in places
because they.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Weren't paying shit.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
But the on they weren't the only thing I applied.
I think I applied around that time too, about twenty
fourteen or something.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
I had randomly got seasonal type shit and I was
in that elite because they kept my ass for like
a good they I was definite like Christmas to like
the summer.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Yeah, I wasn't about seven fifty not then what's crazy
is my first job at Walmart they paid me eight
fifty and I was like, whoa, I'm paying balling with
this because I did. I spent all my money as
soon as I got it.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Bro, all my all my chicks went straight to my
game stop discount.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
That's what it's there for.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Shit and the looking shit like I appreciate out out
to pines Bro game Stop ri ip.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
They finally did it. They took they took us out.
They damned us all hell like playing the other apes.
I was hurt when I came back home and I
was like, I'm gonna go to games stuff that it
was closed.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
I was like, no, So I don't.
Speaker 8 (07:16):
Know who keeps any of the game stops in business
anymore business that by funko pops.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
I never see anyone do that.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
That's all I see in that bitch, Like you know
that weird anime couple that's always in game stuff.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
They got the discord kitting.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Oh god, oh.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
God, those them them them shit. Shit. My week was
straight though.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
I ain't really do much, y'all know, I just been
in the okay, so I'm proud of myself.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
I beat Kingdom Horris one in twenty three hours.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
He did, did not beat I ain't be separate, just
me just running straight story type of shit.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Because I was gonna say, it's like, no way you did,
I am?
Speaker 3 (07:58):
I did?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
It was twenty hours.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah, it's like you see what I mean. Like I
didn't realize when it was that short. That's why twenty
three hours.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Is actually that's long for that time.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
Like think about it when we played it as kids.
We was on that bitch for damn near like forever.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Wow, that's crazy. Yeah, it's about thirty hours of.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Game if you like, if you I feel like if
I would have just like stayed and just went back
to everyone, I could have probably did completed everything twenty
five hours.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
It could have been like a good Kingdom Hearts this
is like two thousand and two. Yeah, yeah, that's even crazier.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
I was ten, I remember that was I was talking
about all that. I was ten when this shit happened.
We are child Soldiers tee shit still and it was
final mix, so okay, just the other thing messing me
up before we get to Kingdom Harris. Look, that's literally
all I did with my life this week. So y'all
know where we're going with this episode. We've been talking
about this beel but I never played the final mix
(08:54):
Kingdom Hearts.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, so I never played the first one. I definitely
ran through this. I can't win the final mix.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
And it's like I'm starting to like and with two
final mix, but I'm gonna get it. It's a lot
of I actually do like like they actually like added
ship that slightly making make a little bit more sense.
It's still confusing, but if you know and you see
that random scene, it's like, okay, they actually went back
and mentioned this shit because I was like, the funniest
(09:24):
one is Sleeping Beauty, all right, So I learned Sleeping
Beauty actually woke up to the power Awaken, but then
whatever was full of ass right back to sleep before
Kingdom herse won and that's why she was as sleeping
and I was like, and then nobody knew about the
power waken until Kingdom Hearts three.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Y'all missed that opportunity to wake her ass up again.
I'm just saying they forgot. They forgot. They literally forgot.
I feel like if they.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Forgot or they were, like, I can't keep paying Disney
on on.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Some shit like we bought for we got frozen type shit.
I can't pay for that too. Get there just but
and then, But I appreciate the extra scenes they popped
in because it helped me. When I asked, LA beat it,
I went back because it's like it's one cut scene
I still have not got and I'm like, what the
fuck is that?
Speaker 3 (10:08):
What is that?
Speaker 4 (10:09):
And do I need to see Kingdom Horse two thirty hours?
Thirty hours? But also final mixed. I appreciate it because,
like I was just playing it and stuff rand they
have random cut scenes and I'm like, I don't remember
any of this.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Because like, yeah, like this was not this was not here.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
I don't give a fuck with anybody saying this was
not here, and like what Kingdom Horse two was? I
feel like it was nine to five. Oh shit, okay, yes, yep,
so shit. Yes, it's like like I know we were young,
but you know with Kingdom Horse, you kind of have
to remember everything.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
The crazy thing about Kingdom Hearts too is uh, I
would back, I would go because you know, we only
had two and we didn't have like any of them.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
We didn't have sleep, we didn't have three five. We
didn't know we was robbed all in life. That's why
when people ask me now, like why back then, when
that shit happened, why they just didn't do that like this.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
They didn't know. None of us knew. None of us knew.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
There's like this thing where it shows the key Blade
war and Tara and all them there cut scene.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
None of us knew what that shit meant.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
No, yeah, true, I was. I was watching it in Japanese.
I couldn't. I didn't know what They.
Speaker 3 (11:25):
Never released the English.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Version because I when I beat it last night, I
looked at it, because you know, once you beat it,
they give you most of the cut scenes them the
last two in them business and Japanese. Because I didn't
even know how you get to that until I found
out Final Makes existed. And that's when I went through
(11:47):
the trouble of downloading it online and playing it in Japanese,
and I played through all the critical mode in Japanese.
I didn't know anything that was going on, but I
was like, damn, this is cool as fun.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
You do know? All you had to do was beat
Cepher up and like find all of us.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
It's a stream. Back then, it was different. Back then
there were game no guides like that.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Okay, I forgot where I saw this ship. I think
it had to be gaming former type ship it was.
I forgot it was either game. It was one of
the big ones that don't exist, no mode, And all
I remember reading was like there's a secret inn in
the Kingdom Hearts and that being listed. Everything you gotta do,
you gotta complete everywhere. You gotta go back and defeed
(12:31):
all the chain of memories.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
And fight Terra.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
You couldn't fight Terror in the original one.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
He was the secret Bouts of the new one.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Yeah, he was in Final mix. You had you had
to beat it in critical mode to fight him.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
That's what I never did.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
That's not true, Okay, you had to beat in critical mode.
You had to get the gold Crown, so and then
you had to beat all the organization members their their
memories or whatever.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yeah that what is that purple ship that was just
floating in certain people where else? And ship?
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Yeah, And I didn't even know them was the fucking
fights from Chain of Memories.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
I didn't know that either until way later, until.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
I played Chain of Memories and I'm like, these fights
look familiar.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
And what's crazy about that is Chain of Memories on
I had it on the game Boy. So even even
though I knew these fights existed, I didn't know that
they were like that. I didn't know that there was
a three D version of Chain of Memories on the PlayStation.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Because they came Bro. That was like damn near seven
years later.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
That was actually I know it existed before. It was
like two thousand and nine. Yeah, you're right, seven years later.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Because it was like one or two. Then all we
had was Chain of Memories on game Boy.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Because I was when I was working at Walmart. This
was like twenty ten, I think, and I saw it.
I saw I saw the three D one on PlayStation
just on the shelf, and I was like, what is this.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
It's one of them. They did it in Japan and
then they really then they redid it.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
That was like when they started like one point five
two point five, but it went a complete shit and
then that's when they slapped that in out of know
what it was like, Oh yeah, hiko, uh I want
to say it was two point five. But they also
had chain of Memories HD, and I was like, what
the fuck is chain of memories h D? Oh my god,
that's what killed me the first time I tried to
(14:20):
run like all three of them.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Because son of a bitch, cadcages, what the fuck my head? O? Hell?
Speaker 4 (14:28):
But yeah, I was like, iran it and I'm like, wait,
it's I'm thinking it's something different, but no, it really
is just super cinematic. It's like, okay, this we wanted
this what it would have looked like. This is the
game Boy shit, but this what it would have looked
like on PlayStation on PlayStation yeah, and another shill and
I'm like, bro, this shit. But it was basically a
(14:49):
movie strong. This is like all you even do a
watch a movie and you better be like you're sending
your reflex is better be there or else.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Know that that wasn't a that wasn't chaining memory. You're
thinking of, uh god, what was that other one. I
know which one you're talking about, but Chane of Memories
was actually like it was the card one. Yeah, that's
what That's what I just actually had to play play it.
It wasn't like a.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
Movie because it was a movie and then you play poker.
I'm talking about them long at.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
It had the world too.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
That one played more like a Kingdom Hearts game like
actual I'm agreed.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
I'm just saying it had long like the age, you
know how like when we played it on game Boy,
we was reading it.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Oh you know, you know, uh, that's also true. Maybe
what you're thinking about is the one the two point
five where they summarize it, so you don't that.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
I want to say two point eight ship because I
gotta do that one too.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
And those in those newer, those ones where it jams
all the games and some of them it just skips
them and it just plays a movie for you.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
And that's what people And that's what misses me because
I remember vividly playing the motherfucker. So it's like and
they kind of skip out little shits of like them
scenes like on some playing too. Do you not realize
that damn near everybody in the organization. They did not
talk to sore once, even though he killed all of them.
(16:19):
They was all talking to Roxis the whole time.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Yep, real, most of them even call him Roxi, And
so just like, what is a Roxist?
Speaker 3 (16:29):
Yeah? Is that the fuck? You just got me? A
bitch in Spanish or some shit.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
You can't imagine, Like someone comes up to you and
they're like, I'm not talking to you and they're talking
to you. It's like high.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
And then even Roxies popped out and was like they
actually picked your ass, nigga, who the fuck are you?
And why we back at the beginning while we're on
the greed in It's black. But yeah, I've been stressed
to fuck out for like six days. Well we had
day seven.
Speaker 8 (17:03):
Now, hopefully you ran three of those games, man, Hopefully
I don't just realize like I'm in a computer type
shit and I wake up virtual with Tony just sitting
at a computer like Skyrim.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Oh you're finally awake.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
Yeah, you fell asleep before we recorded an episode like
two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
We had a digitized you type shit.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
Now niggas just random and start calling me popcorn understead
of Dray type shit.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
It's like wait, what the fuck did I miss? What
did it? I got?
Speaker 4 (17:35):
But been a pretty good, you know, pretty good confusing
last week niggas just been really chilling. I've been luckily,
like I'm face, so it's like I can literally fuck
off this much type shit.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
I'm feeling kind of proud of myself. A little bit
suck suck and a ton of shit. What you've been
on kuz house life.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
We went on that pretty big tangent there, Hey just
do that.
Speaker 4 (17:58):
No, that was a rap Nerds point eight trap NERD distance.
God damn, that was a frequel for what we're talking
about later.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
It's just maybe. So my week has been filled with
a game as well. I've been playing Expedition thirty.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Three French Final Fantasy a lot.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah. So it's a clear obscure Expedition thirty three, and
it is. It is a masterpiece.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
It is true like.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Game of the year easily.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
It's anominee.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
It's gonna win. If I'm telling you that I have
not experienced a game.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Like this, I think it's gonna be split fiction easily, easily.
And Astro Boy came and swept.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
I'm just saying, yeah, but I's still okay, I just
want from what you.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
See the argument I made, I just want to hear it.
I just wonder you know how you feel, because you
know they'll pull that one quick on our ass.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Now they will, but I do have a full review.
It is about time for a break, So we're gonna
go to a break real quick, and when we come back,
I will do my expedition thirty three of you after this.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
He oh yeah, and we beck y'all.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Tony been playing French Final Fantasy. I've been stuck in
the darkness like Aqua. So Tony, how's it.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Been, bro? Croissants? Is that racist? Fuck it?
Speaker 2 (19:31):
I'm standing on it a little bit.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
Fuck France.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
That's good. This game is unapologetically French, but it is okay.
So every once in a while a game comes along
and just just impresses you, impresses you so much, and
then it lingers, it lingers, It sinks into your thoughts,
It really nestles into your emotions. We hear, yeah, and
(19:59):
it really it reshapes your expectations for what storytelling should
be in a game. Clubs here is one of those
extremely rare experiences. I'm talking. From the very beginning, I
was just captivated.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
I was evaporated. I cried a little bit.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
All right, So let let me let me go through
this real quick. We're not going to do a big
spoiler review because I believe this game should be experienced
in its entirety. We will talk about the prologue because
I am right at the end, because I'm telling you
it is. It's about thirty.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
Hours, but.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
You've been pushing type shit.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Yeah, And I will say, with how the story progressed,
it'll be so hard for them to mess up the ending,
like they would really have to just drop fumble.
Speaker 5 (20:58):
I don't know, it be possible.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
It's impossible they had three ending that bitch, No, it would.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
Have to be worse than that.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Oh, the only the only way this is like I
don't know, I don't know. I couldn't even fathom how
they could mess it up.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Have you? I just want to have you figured out
who is?
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yes? No, you shouldn't. You shouldn't. You should figure it
out because this dude, this story it progresses so nicely,
like the flow and everything is just it's done so well.
It's done at such a really good pace. Like never
never once have I felt like I need to stop
(21:39):
playing except and this is to emphasize how good it
is at good at really heavy story moments where I'm
just like, wow, I need to stop playing to really
absorb what just happened.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
You got to put the control of the damn moments?
Speaker 2 (21:57):
You do? You do?
Speaker 5 (21:58):
You get those you get?
Speaker 2 (22:00):
I ain't gonna lie. I know, I know if Eli
was heard, probably make fun of me. But I cried
at a moment in this game.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
Wait, it's a moment.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
There is a cry moment, like it is such a
heartfelt moment that catches not only you, I mean not
only the characters, but you by surprise, and I know
I'm invested and I never so one of the things
I rarely ever do in games. Actually I don't know
(22:33):
the last time I did probably elden Ring, but not
even not to this level.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
I stopped.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Every time I find an expedition log, I listen to them.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Hey, I ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Yeah, you hear Bra, that's the one ship, Like when
you just find a lot of dead bodies and then
you just find that one log of like what actually
happened with each Hey, each expedition was.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
They all brought their own thing.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
They and they all figured out something before they all died.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
But they figured out that's a good lead into, uh,
the premise of the story for those who don't know so,
the premise of this world is the content their their
specific world or part of their world has been cut
from reality by an entity called the Paintress. And every year,
(23:30):
the Paintress wakes up and counts down a number. So
it started at one hundred and has moved down for
sixty seven years. And so when it gets to your number,
if you everyone of that age dies, they just they
get thanos and this world every so when we when
(23:54):
that happens, the people who are the year before spend
their last year of life to send an expedition to
try and stop the Paintress. And so these journals are
off from the previous failed expeditions, and the biggest, the whole,
the biggest line that comes up very often is for
(24:15):
those who come after, because they know that likely and
it's crazy, as a lot of the expeditions knew they
weren't going to ones. Yeah, they knew they weren't going
to be the ones, but they knew that they also
had to help the next expedition. For those who come
after Yeah, so because like one of them and this
(24:35):
was crazy one of them. Their explanation for like why
you can rock climb and some of there's like these
hooks you can grab onto is that there was a
whole expedition that was like, Yeah, we are going to
go map this place and we're going to set up
all this stuff for everyone who comes after us. And
a lot of the expeditions do that and they talk
(24:56):
some of them will talk about their like what they
were doing specif diffically, and it's it's so interesting. It
is such an interesting world, and I just want to know.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
I was gonna say which one is your favorite so far?
Speaker 4 (25:10):
Since you've done that at the end, because the Underwater
niggas when we fot the Red Yo Apprentice it they
were what was your favorite expedition so far?
Speaker 3 (25:20):
That didn't make it?
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Let me think probably the right the rock climber expedition
because they they just seem like they knew but we know,
we know. It was like we know we're not we're
not going to beat the painters. And I think in
one of their logs they say that too. They're like,
we know we're not we're not fighters, and we know
we're spending our last year just making map of this
(25:44):
place and setting all this stuff up for the future.
And that's it.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
We just like we're gonna make a riot of transportation
for y'all because Carl is the only nigga hit hard
type and he died months ago.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yeah exactly, But that that's so cool, like how how
these characters can be, how they live in this world,
and how selfless they are, and how how real they feel.
And the music. The music is different, it is, I
(26:19):
honestly struggle to draw a comparison because I think it's
in a class of its own, Like if you were
ever emotionally moved by a game like Final Fantasy and
its music or Near Automata in its music, this is
that level and more.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
And the fact that these niggas came from OUVI set, Yeah,
it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Because this is that stuff that was Like it doesn't
just accompany the battles or the scenes. It shapes them, right,
it's a part of it.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
Like you can't if the music wasn't it feel completely different.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Because it it uses the swells and stuff, like in
moments where you're where you're coming upon a good like
grand vista of the map, which, by the way, this
game looks beautiful, Like.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
I may I'll be saying, fuck it, let my computer
have a stroke. I'm running this bitch on Ultra. I'm
running it on Ultra.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Fuck it. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
And the what's crazy is the the performance is really
good too, like the game performance run it runs perfect.
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Them making it a turn base kind of really helped
for that too, because it takes a lot of load off.
Like even when you do like really cool shit, you
still don't got to worry about it, you know how.
It's like when you like run it like we find
i say, the newer Final fans, when you run around
and you move in the camera, it do the little
skipp thing your time, yeah with it. They kind of
(27:53):
cut that out by making a straight turn base. And
you know when you do it like that, it make
everything else run stronger as hell.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Yeah, So let's let's talk about that because I think
the turn based genre has been abandoned by the industry
for a long time. And yeah, and for I mean
for good reason. It was very dated. It's very dated
system and stuff like that. But this this game is
(28:21):
revolutionary when it comes to turn based because it's not
just turn based. Your abilities have reaction commands, all of them,
and some of them will punish you if you miss them,
like I have one on lun Lune. Uh it's an
AOI fire and if I miss it, it self destructs.
(28:44):
And so you've got to be perfect, you have to
be and not just that, but you can't tank damage.
You might be able to tank damage in the start
of the game, but by the end of it, and
these things are these monsters are tossing out eight hit
combo and and they do everything they can to throw
you off too, Like they will just intentionally faint or
(29:07):
slow or go really slow, which is crazy because you
wouldn't think that something going slow would affect your perry
or dodge.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
That's I just I have to play Claire if sober,
because if you miss a dodge and or parry, bitch,
you're gonna be mad.
Speaker 5 (29:23):
You will, yeah, especially later in the.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
And it make you you know, it's you know how
like with certain games you know you can run it.
I'm gonna get shot a lot, I might get hit.
I'm gonna be okay. Like That's why I love turn based,
Like civilizations like Fire am Limit is the one that
did it for me, like when you gotta actually start
thinking type shit and a nigga hits you and you
miss some ship and that's like, god damn, I actually
(29:47):
gotta attack magic.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
You gotta start thinking in the parents, bro. You gotta
got a pinpoints.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
You have to focus, You have to focus, and the
game is actually it's pretty different, like well, I guess
it's not like overly difficult. You know what, it makes challenging.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
You think in turn based, so you're thinking like, okay,
I'm playing straight chests. But at the same time, if
a nigga attack you, your reflex is still have to
be there good and the for you to either.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Parry or dodge. Yeah, so it makes you be alert
on both ends.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Yeah, for those who haven't played it yet, you when
you're being attacked, you have the option to dodge or perry,
and Perry's are precise, like I think where because the
game director used to speed run Securo and it shows
and you have to like really hit the perry. I mean,
it's it's risk reward because you if you hit a
(30:45):
counter attack with your perry, it hits hard. You can
also get things like they're these things called pictose, so
there's like a build craft system because you can, for example,
have a bill where if you pairry you gain a
p so you can attack more or do better attacks
(31:06):
in general, and so you're still playing that turn based chess,
but you're also still having to be very active in
the combat, and that I think is what the turn
based genre has been missing, because a lot of people
find turn base pretty boring. But I don't think you
would this on this one because it has those same
elements too from like SECU Real or the Soul's games
(31:30):
where you have to fight a boss maybe a few
times because you need to learn the timing of the
attacks to beat it, because you're not going to tank
those hits. It'll one shot you. And that kind of
brings me up to really because like I said, I'm
not done, but I'm just I'm almost there. I'm like
(31:50):
it's there, and I would be done already if we
weren't doing this right now. This game is very well paced,
Like I know I mentioned it earlier, but even with
game mechanics in general and how they introduce them to you,
very well paced, so it doesn't overwhelm you with like
perries and dodges and and your picto system and your
(32:10):
stats all at once. It'll gradually do it throughout probably
about throughout your first ten hours. You'll you'll learn about
dodges and peries. I think you learn that in the
first area.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Yeah, it's like that's like the prologue when you get
the painting of you and your girl.
Speaker 5 (32:28):
Yeah, but then there's after that, there's more.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
There's there's now would know that you want to know
the window.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Oh I forgot. Yeah, So there's jumps, and then there's
gradient peries and those are something else. And then you
learn gradient attacks, which is like a charge meter, and
that's but it And I know this sounds overwhelming, but
it's given to you when you're already comfortable with everything else.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
It's smooth, like you just kind of just keep learning
shit just for sure.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
And this this game, it's a it really is like
a culmination of a lot of different games. But you
ensure if you wanted to like pick it out for
you'd be like, oh, well, this came from that game whatever.
But it never feels like a rip off. It is
(33:22):
very genuinely its own game.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
And I call it French Final Fantasy, but no, that's
kind of a compliment because this is Fantasy level.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
It really transcends that. And honestly, I think this is
going to be a new franchise, like I think Claire Upscure.
Like let's just like you know how Final Fantasy has
their names like Final Fantasy ten and or Final Fantasy
and then the names.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
So they could just do one to each.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
So it would be like Claire.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
Well, I don't know if it'll do expeditions, but it'll
be like Claire Ubscura and then a title you know,
maybe still in this world kind of thing.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
It could be like it could they'll probably do that,
but then it'll be like they'll go back to a
random story during.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Like the twelfth aspdition.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
I don't I don't think it'll do that.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
So is wait, so it's like they got like different cities.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
So never on you know, the creatures you fight and stuff,
all those things still existed out in the world still
and gestures, so like for example, you know how like
Final Fantasy in every world there's like Googles and chocobo's.
I think it'll be like that, yeah, where every world
have like gesturals and maybe never on stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Okay, I see, oh that's nice. That' see what you see,
I get the vision vision. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
And I think I'm not joking when I say this
is this is revolutionizing the genre because I think we
will get lots of games with active combat like this,
active turn based combat after. I think this will, Yeah,
this will be the renaissance of turn based games. You
will see them more from from this point on. And
(35:10):
I think that's that's it. Because I did, I could.
Speaker 5 (35:13):
I'm not gonna lie. I could glaze this game for
for hours.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
Is a breakdown, Yes it is.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
So I recommend this game highly highly. I could, like,
I know I said that about Balder's Gate and stuff
like that, but this is above.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
Yeah, you didn't glaze this hard.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
No, this is yeah. This is this story, this music,
this gameplay, it is. It is something special that really
only comes around once in a generation that I don't know,
but I'm not I'm not exaggerating. If you haven't played
it and you like RPGs, you're missing out.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
You should go play.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
It's on game pass, Go play it.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
It's like peak turn based like we ain't got it is.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
It's peak gaming like that to that.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
Yeah, they got sephar Off level old school, you know,
And I'm talking about on the feel.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
I ain't talking about the actra like.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
No, you know, you just feel like you know how
I was talking about, like, you know, the boss battle
real when you have the orchestra, then you already know
it's real.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Earth when bitches starts singing in Latin opera.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Yeah, well they singing French in this one, and that's
even scarier.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
Yeah it is.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Oh man, I love like one of the bosses. I
won't it's kind of spoiler if I say what the
boss is, but it has this like really cool jazz
blues and I was like, damn, I was prepared to fight,
not prepared to jam because it was It's so good.
I'm telling you.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
Broh, Yeah you and't bleach shut up blie like y'all
two niggas been like nah, this is this one right,
like yeah, this is the one, Like I don't know why,
but this game is really unnecessarily good, like they didn't.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Have to go Yeah, and for count like any kind
of comparison, because I strongly think this will win Game
of the Year. This would give GTA six a run
for its money.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Okay, GTA six would have to be really innovative. I'm
telling you.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
JK six would have to be really innovative just to
beat this game.
Speaker 4 (37:18):
Because I see like thinking of like you know how
like the GTA five story mode with so icon of
and shit. But then you look at Claire's when it
comes to like the two different genres, But who did
they genre better moment?
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Yeah, who who brought the most innovation to the industry?
I think Claire obsci would probably beat it if they
didn't do something, if they didn't bring because obviously we
don't know, but if they didn't bring something that really
changed their game, Claire Obscure would win this year against
them if they came out this year, which and we
know they're not. But that's that's how strong this game is.
(37:53):
And so we got to go to a break, you
know for those who come after we continue on.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
When we could beck y'all best of class.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
It's been a while, and we beg baby after this
break without right, it's different.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
And we are back in this thing. It's been a while.
We got the best of class, you know where we
just you know, we just go through. We started away
in ninety two.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Uh we do ninety I think we were starting we
started bro.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
We did eighteen years. We all we in No Wait
now crazy thing.
Speaker 4 (38:35):
Oh Wait was like one of my like gamer transition
years where it was like my daddy got me a
x X three sixty instead of a PlayStation for Christmas,
and I didn't get a PS three till like twenty ten.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
So that's how I kind of like it was weird
for my game timeline.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
Plus I was outso band, so I didn't have a life,
but I did run a lot of random things in
Oh Wait. I guess I'll pop it out because shout
out to my cousin because he was the one with
the PS three. Mediga Solid Foe guns of the Patriots
came out while we on just convoluted timelines.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
That's not what I thought you were gonna, says Ship.
Speaker 4 (39:13):
I was like, I'm here to curve ball cause it
was like, yeah, Kingdom Heart's ain't like because it's Keen
Hoy's episode Keen of Heart and Mediga Solid is the
first two games. I had to just get the board
with the conspiracy board with you still got the cigarette
in them.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Hand, like bro, I think I figured it out, but
it's a lot going on.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
And four was basically like the culmination of like, Okay,
we had to shadow modes incident to take an incident,
and then y'all confused everybody and went back in time
and showed us the Rise of Big Boss. Foe was
like that, we're finally gonna make everything makes sense this time,
and that just kind of like it was a movie.
But you know how it's like with them franchises, they
(39:53):
actually never just close off certain points. Foe actually like
either you got a happy ending or you died one,
but you died cinematically and honorably, which was just like
I don't know that. Foe was like one of the
people be people be sleep on folk, but that was
the Bee's knees Man. And we had Old Snake next up,
(40:14):
crazy thing.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
I came late. I'm Fallout New Vegas nigga, but in
wait Fallout three drop I did. I don't know why.
It was like weird for me.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
I don't know why I was a New Vegas nigga.
But three is goaded. I don't care what nobody saying.
You can literally like be a paping hair prostitute. That
was the one before people say hey, you can't do that.
Random moment like like like three you could make some
real just morally like fucked up decisions and be okay
(40:45):
greatness and next up.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
Before I passed, you played.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
A lot of three, didn't I love three?
Speaker 3 (40:52):
B three is to go. I got like eight hundred hours.
Speaker 5 (40:55):
I'll get them to my part when it comes to
my turn on that one.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
O you cauld just internet, It's.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
Not like yeah no when we do the game lit
it out love in DC.
Speaker 6 (41:05):
So so Fallout three, I will say, I didn't know
about this game until probably a couple of years later
because my friends were playing it.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
So I played New Vegas and then they was like
played three.
Speaker 6 (41:17):
Three okay yeah, So I was like I was like
that sounds bad ass, you this and that? So I
ended up going. They talked me into it. About the
Game of the Year edition, man, say, I never played
so much of one game at one setting ever, like
just NonStop. I fucking love that game so much. It's
(41:37):
just crazy crazy, yep. I got my Game of the
Year edition, the with the with the holographic back up
hold up one second, one second.
Speaker 4 (41:51):
The crazy ship shout out a game stop online actually
does do his job with rich shit because I still
actually got the vault man and in there.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Like people be sleep you got the lunch bugs, bitch.
Speaker 6 (42:08):
Yeah, I got so many figures, man, I got a
lot of them ships and that's just bro.
Speaker 5 (42:16):
I fucking loved it. The game is just so good,
you know.
Speaker 6 (42:19):
It's it's crazy because when you were talking about the
game just before talking about how y'all felt, how much
I loved it. Honestly, I haven't really I really couldn't
get into many games like that, but Fallout three was just.
Speaker 5 (42:29):
That one for me.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
So it was New Vegas, but I could always just
you know how niggas. I fucked the subway, but I
actually learned the subway line. Yeah, Fallout three was the
one where you could do. Hey, that radio that radio
station was three.
Speaker 5 (42:46):
They had. I actually have a vinyl record of the
g n R. So yeah you do, I do.
Speaker 6 (42:55):
I promise you if I knew exactly where it was, right,
I shirts and living, But yeah I got one though.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
That three radio was golded.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
I know what you're getting for Christmas?
Speaker 5 (43:08):
Record? I got a record player.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
We are chipping.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
Yeah, I got a record player though, but yeah, yeah,
I got one.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
Of the old ones with the big yellow note.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Hey, I would love a graandmophone.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
Gramophone is a flex that's crazy. But three was golded, bro, Like,
I appreciate it. Through the pit DLC and ship.
Speaker 5 (43:35):
Into the pit all that ship so good, so good.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
That's that was like one of my first just like
so they just drop you off and you can just.
Speaker 5 (43:46):
I love that game so much.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
In the first house you get in Megaton, I decked
that whole out with like everything I grabbed, like every skull,
every helmet.
Speaker 5 (43:56):
I put that ship like it feels my real lifehouse.
I live to that ship.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
Funny story.
Speaker 4 (44:01):
You want to know, like when that was the day
I had to learn, like my my actions really mean?
Speaker 3 (44:07):
Ship and fall up?
Speaker 5 (44:08):
Oh yeah, the first time playing fall Out.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
Through accidentally blew a megason.
Speaker 5 (44:13):
Oh no, that's crazy.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
I'm going to hear. I'm going to hear. I didn't know.
I thought it was just a cours line.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
I did it the second time because I wanted to
know what it was going to be. Like, So.
Speaker 4 (44:29):
I I hed so fucking bad the rest of their playthrough, bro,
like I did everything else good because I felt bad.
But then y'all say, wait, wait, wait, wait, No, I
wanted to get the name right because now because y'all
wear the warcraft, you know how you it was wait,
(44:51):
rickor why shopping up Wrath of.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
The list King. Yeah, yeah, I got right.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
I didn't want to look. And y'all know I'm not
I'm not. I'm not a wild nigga ship. But if
it's time, like I talked to a wild nigga, they
look at like king like Vietnam flash backs.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
It was peak. That was peak, Wow wow at its peak.
Wrath like what happened? That was well?
Speaker 5 (45:22):
So the the story is for Wrath of the lich King.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
It was okay, So let me go back a little further,
like Warcraft there.
Speaker 3 (45:32):
I need to like me in there, give me an
ees O flash back.
Speaker 5 (45:36):
Right, So this wasn't me.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
But for a lot of people they played Warcraft before
they played World of Warcraft, and Warcraft three is all
about arthurs and the lich King becoming the lych King.
So Wrath of the lich King is about artists and
about taking him down. And so he is the last
raid boss of that raid or of that expansion, and
(46:00):
through the entire expansion he's always there. He's very involved
with the story and you're questing, and honestly, the game
design at the time probably not it's best, I mean
comparatively to now because it was two thousand and eight,
but that was peak everyone was playing. I think it peaked.
Its player counted like fourteen million subscribers at the time.
Speaker 5 (46:23):
Yeah, so it was a good time I lived. That
was when I lived on Wow Rath. I just with
my free time.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
Wow what I felt like I was talking to, uh.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare the first one. Yeah, Call
of Duty for Modern shit came out. It was game
of the Year and came out that year.
Speaker 3 (46:46):
The beginning of the end.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
That's when it was, honestly true, that was the beginning
of the end because they were like, Wow, we struck
gold with this.
Speaker 5 (46:57):
Never let it go.
Speaker 4 (46:58):
That's when people, that's when I learned how to be
racist and game check right there.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
That was the moment I need to learn that Halo too.
Speaker 3 (47:08):
See I missed. I was not like Xbox like the
first one. That's p S two.
Speaker 4 (47:14):
So it's like I got Halo like I came That's
why I Reach is one of my favorites because that
was like one of the first ones, Like I came
in and reaching ship like niggas been near the story
of Master Chief and then I saw that bitch just
said survive and I was like, wait, oh, Ship.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
I really just got it. Oh god, I was the
same thing. I'm like, damn, buddy, finna die.
Speaker 3 (47:36):
It's fun.
Speaker 5 (47:36):
Oh ship, God, it's me. Yeah, that was crazy. That
was crazy. That is such a good one.
Speaker 4 (47:47):
Hey, I still gotta bring a braid is gold and
I don't care what nobody.
Speaker 5 (47:53):
I forget left for that.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
Yep. The first to win very first, that was. That
was the peak.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
That's when that was the beginning of four person like
super co op I feel like online like not competitive,
but a leve.
Speaker 5 (48:14):
That's that's when I was in on my Xbox a
lot too.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
That was that was peak Xbox.
Speaker 4 (48:19):
That's bro, where's the peak three x Like we were
peaked three sixties years like we learned every slur in
the book.
Speaker 6 (48:29):
Ship Like then, Uh, Call of Duty had the World
at war as well. That's the first for Call of
Duty zombies.
Speaker 2 (48:36):
That came out same year mm hmm, same month.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
Yeah, because it was the same world.
Speaker 4 (48:43):
Yeah, World that War I want because when World that
Water last of the PS two games and then Modern
War started the p S three three I want yeah
came up like that.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
Yeah, why would they? That's see that's you know, Call
of Duty was a different thing back then. That's because
they released too. They released Modern Warfare the month before,
and then they released World at War the month.
Speaker 3 (49:09):
After because they knew like it was heated with themselves.
That was like they last, because that was the last
PS two Call of Duty.
Speaker 5 (49:17):
But that four Modern Warfare, right, wait, not so Modern Warfare.
Call City four.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
Modern Warfare came out in October of that year, and
then World at War came out in November.
Speaker 5 (49:30):
But sure it says two thousand and seven.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
How did they win? Really, that's what we do that, Jake, Okay,
and it's showing me the twenty nineteen. Ah, you're right,
it's two thousand and seven.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
Okay, So that was okay, So yeah, World at War.
Then they swissed to.
Speaker 5 (49:51):
Insert go email that that bear. Yeah that barely made
it to Game of the Year like that.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
Had they ran their redemption tuted.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. They Wow, that's crazy, you know.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
You know, you God, when you come out a month
before and you win the game with a year.
Speaker 6 (50:10):
You know, it's uh, this game actually came out in
two thousand and six, but the whole Game of the
Year one came out in two thousand and eight, and
I'm gonna give it to it.
Speaker 5 (50:18):
Bully Broh.
Speaker 2 (50:20):
We did talk about Bully before Bully.
Speaker 3 (50:23):
Bully was golded. I still you brought it. I still
don't care. Bully is the one that that's like still
one of the only Rockstar games.
Speaker 4 (50:30):
I still they need a sequel. And it was in
the GTA universe Pitt this nigga in six then like
he left Molworth Academy and went down to Vice City
and now he had ain't shit Dad, like.
Speaker 5 (50:42):
Like there it is, like I love it. Goddamn.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
Oh bro Death Space came out in two thousand and eight.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
That was the beginning.
Speaker 4 (50:51):
That was like, you know, like I feel like a
Xbox was like we're finna make sure everybody could play
with each other like that in PlayStation.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
Was on some we want to make you know. They
always was like we're gonna.
Speaker 4 (51:02):
Make some real unnecessarily good gamesso single.
Speaker 5 (51:06):
Players shit, star Wars forced the leash.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
Star Killer needs to be part of the alternate universe.
Speaker 4 (51:12):
Boy when when they realized, like, hey, niggas and Star
Wars are really op as hell, and this is why
you can't put niggas in shows because niggas like Stark Killer.
Everybody did Saints Row two. That was peak Saints Row.
I don't care what nobody said.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
That is peak.
Speaker 2 (51:28):
That was just I like Saints Trope three though, But
you're right. That is before they went off the That
was that right.
Speaker 3 (51:37):
Before Magic got involved.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
That was when they weren't sure if they could compete
or not, and then they found out later that they couldn't,
especially when competing on GTA four on this year and
they weren't competing.
Speaker 4 (51:50):
You're not bro when they switched the goddamn ship and
was like we feeling just give y'all, all right, we
two cartoony big hold my beer, We're finna make everybody.
Speaker 2 (52:00):
Said, Army of two.
Speaker 3 (52:03):
Oh my god, wait that was my little brother type
ship because funny ship.
Speaker 4 (52:08):
We got our ass who type ship because we dead
ass ran Army of two in one day and we
didn't stop till four in the morning and had to
go to school the next day.
Speaker 3 (52:19):
And I'll Grandma woolfed because what the fuck you out
doing shit? It's three in the morning. It's like we
had to end.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
I rented, I went, so I used to go to
Mexico for the summers to see my dad. And so
me and my sister we would go to Blockbuster down
there and ran a game for like a few days,
and we got Army of Two and we ran that
game for days straight. Like my dad got mad. He'd
be like, why are you playing that? You're playing it
too much. But then the funny thing is he got
(52:49):
invested in the story, so then he was sitting there like, wait.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
What happened? I gotta see what happened with these niggas?
And that type ship bro Army of two, that is
like that's down available special. That was me Peak. That
was Peak Xbox to Drake's if Ship or Me two
and Ship.
Speaker 2 (53:06):
But Mirror's Edge is the parkour game.
Speaker 4 (53:11):
Oh Ship, I forgot about that. Hey that was Peak
two because that hey that's people be sleep on the
three sixty. But they was really trying to flix, like
with the system as a whole flawed. Yeah, but games wise,
they had a couple like Kick Sony and the Dicks.
Mirrors one though, and one of my Fable two that
(53:32):
was I understood Xbox niggas when I played Fable.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
Yep, Fable two is all timer.
Speaker 4 (53:38):
Because I had to go back and actually like by
the first one, type of Ship on original Xbox just
to be like, all right, I got I gotta I
gotta know ship now.
Speaker 3 (53:47):
I mean, I'm in the rabbit hole.
Speaker 5 (53:50):
You got any more, Marcus?
Speaker 2 (53:52):
Before we move on to movies.
Speaker 5 (53:53):
Portals Portal came out that year. Portals Still Alive? Yeah,
are you sure?
Speaker 4 (53:59):
What what what?
Speaker 2 (54:00):
Portal is still alive?
Speaker 5 (54:01):
That's basically like the I can't think of the thing.
Oh it's like game the game of the year kind
of thing.
Speaker 3 (54:10):
Edition.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Yeah, it's the it's the three sixty port because it
was on PC before.
Speaker 5 (54:16):
Yeah, you know, that's that's where I played it very firsthand.
Speaker 2 (54:19):
So I remember, Marcus, I was like, you should play
this game, and I was like why, And then I
understood understand.
Speaker 3 (54:29):
Like, you know how it'd be like that's a once
in a lifetime puzzle game.
Speaker 2 (54:34):
It really is.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
We don't you don't get they don't make them like it.
Speaker 6 (54:39):
So that's why I was pretty happy with Portals too,
you know when that when they did that and it
didn't fail, but you know, it didn't do as good.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
Yeah, but I always appreciated the story.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
But I think, you know, a lot of the the
success was because that was a very new game mechanic.
Speaker 4 (54:56):
It messed up people like that was the kind of
you know, like them getting the mechanics that actually go
through the wall ship instead of no cliffing. Yeah, they
were figuring it out back then. But before we go
to movies. I still I just saw this and then
messed me up. This was like, y'all know, I'm a
Mortar comeback nigga, but this is like miss me for
the better More to comeback versus DC that when they want.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
That's the day I realized.
Speaker 4 (55:22):
That's the day I realized one of the brothers bought
the Mortar comeback because I was like, how the fuck
does that even? Whoa and now look at them, we
got Terminator. She is crazy to some, but hey, I
do actually minus like them doing the like you can't
have blood and ship like that storyline actually kind of
worked like that was the That was basically the prequel
(55:46):
for what we are and more to come back now
with all the multi versal.
Speaker 3 (55:49):
Shoot but hell no to movies.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
Real quick, Turrock, the last Tar game came.
Speaker 5 (55:57):
Oh that's fucking right, Rock.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
That's when they did. I liked that game.
Speaker 4 (56:05):
I don't know why it feels I started with bringing crazy.
I started on I started with Tu Rock on sixty four.
Speaker 5 (56:11):
You got natives fighting dinosaurs.
Speaker 3 (56:13):
But how did it happen? I still don't know to
this day.
Speaker 5 (56:17):
It is the greatest fucking thing ever. Like you just
you can't think of ship like that. These days.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
You got night Wolf and you got two Rock Nigga.
That is great representation, so good.
Speaker 5 (56:32):
Elody mentioned that that's so good.
Speaker 3 (56:33):
Yes, I forgot about it right, and he always said.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
But memory of Eli r I p. We got our
movies memory.
Speaker 4 (56:45):
Hey, even though Baku did guess what also happened in
the way some got birthed and what.
Speaker 3 (56:51):
And it's wild howard to see where it is now?
Speaker 4 (56:54):
Iron man, we got the beginning of the mc US.
Speaker 2 (56:59):
See you right there. He birthed the m c U
and then played a black man that same year in
Tropic Thunder by one of the greatest.
Speaker 4 (57:10):
Like, I don't care, we got fat Tom Cruise. Tom
Cruise was wilding in that movie.
Speaker 3 (57:20):
Then I aspire to be like that. Man.
Speaker 5 (57:22):
I feel like it's probably just me.
Speaker 6 (57:24):
But it took maybe three or four times after I
watched the movie to realize that was fucking Tom Cruise
that because.
Speaker 5 (57:30):
I would have never expected that I never expected that,
like Tom Cruise, what.
Speaker 3 (57:38):
He don't Tom Cruise cursed curse word.
Speaker 5 (57:42):
You know, he enjoyed the funk out of that movie.
But every second of that that was him.
Speaker 3 (57:47):
Yes, that was him, and the whole movie one of
the I.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Think there's a story like that too where he everyone
was really surprised when he like started cursing.
Speaker 4 (57:57):
Yeah, it's talking about on the movie said ship yep, yeap, yep, yep.
Speaker 3 (58:02):
That had I'm like, nah, that was that was really him.
I was like, Nah, this is how he feels. He
just has to be nice.
Speaker 4 (58:08):
It's just another random great I appreciated like this era
of like you know how it's always like the one
off superhero movies that never give a sequel, Like like
what I'm.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
Trying to talking about got a sequel?
Speaker 3 (58:22):
Shut the fuck up right now. Nah, I'm talking Handcock
the movie. But what's the one with Michael with Michael B.
Speaker 4 (58:31):
Jordan's and ship, like the found footage movie where they
all got superpowers?
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Oh you know what I'm talking about. I cannot remember
the name of them movies.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
It's like super is it?
Speaker 3 (58:42):
Super eight? Super eight was one of them movies too,
but not Super eight.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
But I know what you're talking because they.
Speaker 3 (58:50):
Were like, it ain't journey. Nah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (58:52):
They got exposed to the media, right right, huh, and
then they could fly and I remember.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
One of them turn evil for yeah, I cannot just
remember that movie, but it was like Handcock Dead Chronicle Chronic.
Speaker 5 (59:08):
Yeah that's twenty twelve though, that's twenty twelve.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
I mean Handcock popped it up.
Speaker 4 (59:15):
That's when we started getting them like these are superhero
movies that ain't got nothing to do with like Marvel
and DC, that random era of movies.
Speaker 3 (59:23):
I guess Madic Man.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
The first one, yeah, well against ten Black Belts yep.
Speaker 3 (59:31):
When he got when his homeboy got shot over the rice.
Speaker 5 (59:35):
Yeah, that one. I remember.
Speaker 2 (59:37):
I used to call this movie I p Man.
Speaker 3 (59:41):
Everybody did. That's us being American.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
What do you mean you Internet.
Speaker 4 (59:48):
Saw it and I was like, oh shit, he is
breaking niggas dawn. Yeah, man, it was the Chronicles and
nine of the uh. I want to say that was
the second one, the third one.
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
I think I mentioned that you never got into Chronicles.
Speaker 3 (01:00:06):
Funny Ship like when I when I when I actually
used to go to and ship like that was like
the one.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
I've heard it's really good, like it's worth watching, like
ass laying is kind of Jesus, Like this guy just
heard the biblical references random.
Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
One of my favorite like found footage movies.
Speaker 5 (01:00:25):
Clover Field, clover Field, You're too.
Speaker 9 (01:00:30):
Clover Field popped off, Bro, that was like the person right,
it popped it off, like because we had them good
like that so good like Blair Witch. I say, damn there,
it's been a while since because we ain't have no
good good found because Paranormal Activity was later. That was yeah,
(01:00:54):
taking taking Liam needs some to come back out of
know where with his son set skills, Brother.
Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
Incredible Jumper was that Jumpers underrated?
Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
That's one of them, like Chronicle Handcot type ship Jumper.
I feel like that's on that level of movies.
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
I wanted more. I wanted more Jumper.
Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
I needed more from that world on some.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Ship like they did. Jumper was cool. I appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
Jump the Incredible Hulpe the first one, ain't that's the
one that's non cannon?
Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
I think is it two?
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
Yeah, yeah, the first one is non cannon. But is
the Incredible Hope technically two?
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Yep?
Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:01:39):
This is too because Tim Rothers in this on the
Heat abomination.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
So this is the that's the Cannon one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Hey, a really sad movie. That was like, but it's
the Wrestler, Micky, Oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
That was.
Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
That was a li movie and we we can't also
just not also mentioned like the Dark Knight, the first.
Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
One, the movie that got all the Normans into Batman.
Speaker 4 (01:02:05):
Right, the beginning of the wild Ship before Joker. Wait nah,
that was the first one that was a Joker. Yeah,
that one was a Joker. I'm tripping, Yeah, Batman beginnings
the Person then it was a Dark Knight.
Speaker 5 (01:02:17):
Yeah, that's another movie I watched out of order.
Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
Bro, you ain't line, you are not lying ship.
Speaker 6 (01:02:25):
I want to say the best getting high movie it's
ever made, Pineapple Express was literally that was a that
was a Pineapple Express.
Speaker 5 (01:02:37):
Bro.
Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
That is so fucking wild I blame like a lot
of my just weak U see now the Pineapple Express.
Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
That's you not just watching this ship before I was
just smoking it was like full lo.
Speaker 5 (01:02:54):

Speaker 4 (01:02:56):
Bro, that was that was the beginning of James Franco
like realized, like just make movies and it works, didn't
They get canceled.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Quarantine came out that year too. If you want to
talk about another found foot Quarantine really.
Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
Damn, I forgot about that one.
Speaker 4 (01:03:16):
Quarantine went as to when that like one of the
that was was that like a French or like that
wasn't an American movie, wouldn't it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:25):
Uh, that's a good question.
Speaker 3 (01:03:27):
Wasn't that like a it was it was like European
or some ship?
Speaker 2 (01:03:32):
Because I remember, No, I think that was so much
in the US, like what I saw, So what you think?
Speaker 5 (01:03:39):
I think?
Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
I think this is a like a remake or an
adult movie.
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
Quarantine was the American version. Quarantine was the American version.
Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
Because there's definitely one what is it called Rick?
Speaker 3 (01:03:55):
Oh, like are are you Rick?
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:03:58):
Yeah, that was the original that was and then like
they redid it for us and it was it was
Quarantine because I just remember the girl in the night
Vision getting poured away at the end.
Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
Yeah, yeah, that was crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
We just like steal movies.
Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
Boy oh the Ring.
Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
Yeah, that's what I mean, just movies like hey.
Speaker 4 (01:04:21):
So we're just gonna make the American verds and ship
how much sps?
Speaker 3 (01:04:26):
Time to rap?
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Unless Marcus, you got something else?
Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
I was gonna say, I feel like this one was
kind of underrated.
Speaker 3 (01:04:31):
This is just for me. The happening, boy is that
with Marky Marks. Marky Mark and he started talking to
a plant.
Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
That ship was the funniest thing.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
This is the aliens right where they abduct people.
Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
No thinking about signs.
Speaker 4 (01:04:49):
Now, that's when like the people started just killing themselves
in very very wild ways.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:04:55):
Yeah, buildings, old Lady.
Speaker 3 (01:04:59):
Not the one that hit me.

I was like, oh my god, when come and his
grass got off that bitch and just said, all right,
I'm gonna just lay down and let that bitch.
Speaker 3 (01:05:10):
But it happened.
Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
It was a wild rant.
Speaker 3 (01:05:12):
That's just Stephen King. No, it's like sham Okay, when
I knew it was one of the niggas new it
was one of them. Wild what a twist as niggas.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
It's written, written, directed and produced by him.
Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
Okay, that was that was his random win. Okay, Yeah
that was a movie. Yeah, that was one of them.
Like they went they went unnecessary with the kills, and.
Speaker 2 (01:05:35):
I like the threatening shots in that where they just
show the wind blowing the trees.
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Everybody just start panicking. Ship it's coming and they looking
at the wind. They are running from the wind shot. Boy,
It's like, I get it, but.
Speaker 4 (01:05:57):
That movie couldn't work today. But I think that's all
we got for best of class.
Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
