Speaker 1 (00:00):
Trapp Trapp really like you never heard.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to another excited episode of the
Trapped Nerves podcast. When this peace gotta crip up. So
if y'all's day, Dred, how was your week?
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Just been chilling and kicking it getting ready for Geet
coming this weekend. So I've been trying to work on
my cosplays. I have not constplayed at all this whole,
so that's about to be fun. Uh fixed my light
saber Apparently it was just a screw loose, so thank
(00:39):
you Jesus. I ain't had to get that completely fixed
name or have to take completely apart winning. So now
I'm back at five lights sables.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah, I'm not. Your collection is growing.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
But the next kicking it started Final Fantasy seven Rebirth finally,
like I started it when out about it, and I
played like two chapters and I forgot what came out
and I started playing that. It always happened like that.
If I bouy like two games, I ended up playing one.
(01:14):
I'm gonna play both of them, but I'm gonna play
one and forget to beat.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
The other one.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
So I'm trying to beat that before we get the
last one. But so far it's straight. I'm appreciating it,
but I'm.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Still so dear guy confused.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Right now because I don't know if this is an
alternate universe or it's like the time they say it's
some multiversal stuff, but I don't get the multi It's like,
you know, how they say it's a multiverse stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
But they don't explain how. Ye, it's like that, like
the first chapter you was Zach. Then the rest of
the game it kind of just switched back to Cloud
in them. But Eric, now this time Cloud and are
if you don't remember certain shit that happened, and it's
all still different from the PS one one.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
So my brain hurt.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
But gameplay wise and them just like making all the
mid going out it folking just real.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Oh my god, that shit is beautiful.
Speaker 5 (02:19):
Yeah right, you just look at it looks amazing.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
It just makes you walk around.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
It's one of them you know, it's real when you
don't even just play the game, just catch yourself running around.
And then I just got to the other side of
the world where it's like the beach and shit, they
got segs and you can travel, you can try, I know,
like y'all, it's like you know how when you play
a game and you can pick the dog that moment
(02:50):
it was like like when you can't hop on this said,
oh my god, but you know I'm running it, just
trying to go and beat They get that out the way,
folks said, the last one dropped, So I know that
you know what's going on for the most part.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, I'll be saying gaming.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
I feel that I wish I could have been gaming
this week.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Should took your laptouse at the hospital.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
I did, but well I didn't take it with me.
How am I gonna take you with me?
Speaker 6 (03:21):
Drake?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I mean like somebody could have bosted your last.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Yeah, they didn't bring it till like the last two days.
I think it was Sunday, and then it took a
full day to update Marvel Rivals. So the hospital Wi fi, yeah,
I couldn't use discord on the Wi Fi. Ended up
just using my hotspot. So, uh, for everyone's information, I
(03:47):
was in the hospital. I was pretty bad off for
a little while there.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
He told her group of Mexican I mean a group
of black people the Friday and chicken good for him,
and they didn't like it.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
It turns out that's not a nice thing to say,
even if you're part of a black owned podcast.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
Did so, I'm sure you had a self suck incident,
but I guess I was wrong.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
Yeah, No, that's greatly exaggerated. Didn't happen. So it started
out with some abdominal pain. I wasn't really sure about it,
and you know, I wouldn't go for just abdominal pain.
But it lasted like four days and I was like, okay,
and it didn't seem to be getting better. So I
(04:35):
was like, this is one of those things I should
probably go see someone at the very least go.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
To urgent care.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
So I went to urgent Care. They told me they
ran a bunch of tests and they they wanted me
to do a cat scan, but not there. They wanted
me to do it like the next day, which, by
the way, my insurance does not want to cover a
cat scan at all, like they they wouldn't with my
knee and they wouldn't with this and so but I didn't.
(05:09):
It didn't even come to that because the next day
the doctor from urgent Care was like, hey, you you
really need to go to the er because you need
to give scanned. Your white blood cell levels are a
little out of control, and that's generally a pretty bad
sign with everything else that's going on with you. And
(05:31):
so I was like, all right, i'll go. So went
to went to er. They they prescribed, they did the
CT scan. I have an enlarged spleen, but they said
that that's pretty normal for someone who's fighting off a
virus or an infection. And then they gave me some
(05:54):
medicine for like I B S or something. So I
took went home, took that. A few hours later, I
ended up feeling like I got a really bad headache,
like it was a really sharp, unpleasant, and so I
(06:15):
walked around a little bit and I just felt not right.
I don't really know how to explain it. There was
just something that didn't feel quite right, and so I
told so I went ahead and measured my heart rate
just just to be safe. And while I was sitting
there doing that, actually I started to get dizzy. I
(06:35):
was like, oh, it's not good. And then I looked
down at the monitor and it's like at thirty two
and normal resting heart rate for normal people it is
like sixty to one hundred, and so I was like, okay, well,
I'm probably dying, so let me go to the hospital
or let me go back to er. And they got
(06:58):
me in there and they found that, yeah, my heart
rate was really really low, but also my blood pressure
was really low, like dangerous I'm about to pass out
levels low. But even though I didn't quite feel that myself,
(07:19):
so we did that. They transferred me to the hospital.
I got scared that I was dying. They put me
on dopamine. It didn't make me happy. It made me
want to.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Cry Doby emotions going heat.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Yeah, and that was kind of scary because the dopamine,
I mean, it is supposed to raise your heart rate
and blood pressure, but for me, it just it just
made it feel like my heart was racing because I
remember telling the ambulance driver. I was like, hey, man,
I feel like pressure in my chest just doesn't really
(07:55):
feel good. It's like I feel like my heart I
can feel my heart beating, as weird as that sounds.
And he's like, oh, And then I told him your
I feel like my heart is racing, and he like
looks at me, like with a weird look. He's like,
your heart's at fifty six, so that's almost a normal
(08:15):
heart rate.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
Yeah, that means you have it. Your shit has not
wasn't being normal for a while. Yeah, so it's starting
to beat normal you and panic like.
Speaker 5 (08:26):
Wait, yeah, So I kind of knew I had a
low resting heart rate already because last year, before I
started losing all the weight, I checked and I was
at like forty seven forty eight, which I looked online
and I talked to some doctors about it, and they're like, well,
(08:47):
as long as you don't have symptoms, which is like,
you know, you don't feel fain, you don't feel dizzy,
you don't get headaches, then you're okay. Because a lot
of people live with low heart rates, and generally it's athletes.
So that's why I was like, I ain't no athlete, And.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, I think though you carried a lot of way
around every day and just doing normal stuff, you was
probably weren't doing the workout. So at least that's what
they tell me.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
So you know, every body's just getting used to being
slightly not that no mo.
Speaker 5 (09:23):
Yeah, well again, like I said, I've had the resting
so they had me on that and then I went
to the hospital and they all freaked out. They're like, oh,
your heart rates dangerously low, and so they kept me
on dope for me and I was like, I hate this,
(09:44):
Please take me off of this, and eventually they did,
and the charge nurse there told me like, oh, yeah,
basically what you just said, J's like, oh, well, your
body is so used to not beating normally that when
you see it happen or when you feel it happened,
(10:05):
it feels like your heart's racing. And I was like, I've.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Done a lot of drugs in my day, man, I
know the feeling is.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Yeah. So long story short, they did a whole bunch
of skins, because again, the abdominal pain did not stop
while I was in there. That that was just like
one of the other things that was going on. And
so as far as that goes, apparently I probably got
food poisoning. And sometimes when you get food poisoning, your
(10:38):
bowels and your testines don't properly ever well not ever,
but they don't properly recover immediately, and so you get IBS,
so your bowels are easily irritable, like with gas or
anything like trapped gas and stuff like that. At least
that's what they think. I did see a hematologist and
(11:01):
he ran liked no joke. They took thirteen vials of
blood from me and I did a wow for Yeah.
So for that, though, I'm not going to know any
results on that for two weeks. I hope they don't
find anything because I'm not trying to lose my liver
(11:22):
and then I'm really dead for real, like and so
from my heart and they're like, well, it's probably okay
because this is the first time I ever had a symptom,
and they think they think it was the medicine that
I took for IBS because it's supposed to drop your
(11:45):
heart rate, and because because I already have a little
heart rate that just was like way too low this week,
they are putting me on a monitor for seven days
heart rate so they can just measure my heart and
how it works out. And then we're going to talk
(12:06):
about it next week. And depending on how the talk goes,
I might need a pacemakers.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
You're gonna be peace, Michael.
Speaker 5 (12:22):
Yeah, so she said there is a chance I might not,
but if we're gonna be realistic, I should probably anticipate it.
Oh and I don't know. That's kind of scary, man.
And so for that also, I really hope it's not
(12:43):
like an immediate need because you essentially will not be
able to work for like a month if the recovery
time on that is four to six weeks.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
So the other one that I did this stick on chiss.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
No, that's the the one that takes all of them
take that long. They have. The new one they have
now is called leed lists.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:09):
Yeah, and there's nothing on your chest. It's just there
and eventually your body dissolves it or something.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Period.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Yeah, but you don't get the benefit of having a
defib in your heart.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Yeah, he brown dog and life you don't really care anymore.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
I mean that I could see the benefits of both.
I guess, I don't know. I don't know. So that's
a stress. And then, like I said, I was hoping,
I'm hoping it's not an immediate need because I'm having
to take a month off work. If I have to
do this, then I would rather wait until.
Speaker 3 (13:44):
You know, did you try a couple of the red
wine thing?
Speaker 1 (13:51):
What you know?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Like, well, people started drinking like there's a cup of
wine every like two three days.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I forgot exactly what my grandma drink, Like a glass
of winter day you get like it helps your heart helps.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
I forgot exactly what it does.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
But yeah, something to do with the greats being fermented
or something that helps your I know, I know exactly
what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Another sign of it, but I don't ask.
Speaker 5 (14:23):
I know. I want to be like that one lady
who drinks three doctor peppers a day and she outlived
her doctors.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I don't that sell doctor Pepper and Jesus.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
That was I love that video. Bro, She's such like
she's oh white lady. She's like, yeah, I've been drinking
three doctor pepper's day and my doctors told me I
shouldn't do that, But now I had to get new
doctors because I out lived them.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
That's scary.
Speaker 5 (14:53):
It's like, you know, at some point, it's like you
can't argue that, Like she's.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Right, she got to be built like that. It don't
work like that.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
It's like, what do you do? How do you fight that?
Y'all live your doctors who told you you were gonna
die before them because you drink three doctor Pepper's a day.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
So did the lost shit in Milkfield. Bullshit.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
This bitch needs to be studied.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
I say, that's not be she just anomaly, not least after.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Some time, she gotta be one of them, Like I
hope she'll working down the so niggas can be like
that's a fact.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
That's a fact.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
It's a fact that smoking causes of lung cancer. But
it's like one hundred year old lady who smoked every day.
So you know something, yeah, something just anomaly, bro.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
You know, niggas to do sports like professional sports are
still smoked cigarettes.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Now, did you hear about the one about the lady
that got pulled over and it was like they was
like she was drunk driving, but it was like she
ain't drunk, and like since like the lad of the
night before, but basically I forgot. It's like the yeast
to her body. She her body produced so much yeast.
(16:03):
She's always drunk.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
No, it sounds crazy, So.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
It's like but it's like one of them, Like it's
to the point she don't. It's like you you functioning regular,
but your body's drunk. If you like doing blood alcohol tist,
you're drunk as hell. So it's like telling that she
can handle double her drinking levels because she's always there.
And I was like, damn, that's wild out of it
(16:31):
it's crazy you how would you.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
How would you know you're lived because you're always drunk?
Speaker 3 (16:37):
And that's the thing about it. Type of ship. When
she went like when they actually like went to when
she went to jail for the ship and they actually
like did the ship. They was like, wait, what the fuck?
That's not How are you just damn drunk? And you
ain't you been sitting in jail for a day and
you steal this drunk how how ship? And she sued
(16:58):
the ship at the niggas and you shouldn't.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
She should take every chance you can to see the city.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Like that genuinely wasn't her fault. I would have got
a beer right after that.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
But yeah, so I'm back, though not dead, big chilling
missed the Battlefield Beta. Kind of pissed off about that,
and be honest with you, but it's okay.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
I still never learned how to do the Bible thing.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
I got another weekend coming.
Speaker 7 (17:28):
Up, so when it happened, let me know, say, can
show me how to shoot the on Thursday. I'm a
Randling car you too, screen screen shoving screen ship?
Speaker 5 (17:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:44):
This shoot ya, that's it?
Speaker 6 (17:49):
You prime got some heat man, you said three episod. Yeah,
three episod Chief of War Jasonmore. It's about the unification
of Hawaii and the beginning of the colonization of Hawaii
from the European powers and stuff from American and all
that stuff. Beard, Now he got a beard in this.
(18:15):
This show is so good man. It's on of the
three episodes in amazing man, the scenes, the cinema photography,
the actors, the battle scenes. It's what I think, it's
eighteenth century Hawaiian. So they still got the paddles with
the they still got the paddles with the with the
with the rigid diamonds and stuff on to.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Stick with the big ass ball on him. It's just
the clubs nigga.
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Nigga still and it's the beginning of them getting guns
and stuff from from Europe. And so it's really really good.
It's like imagine gamer throngs missed with black cells. That's
that's the kind of vibe you get from it.
Speaker 5 (18:58):
It's really good, good good yell right there.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
It's really good man.
Speaker 6 (19:03):
The politics and stuff you see in the first three episodes,
it gets you hooked.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Man.
Speaker 6 (19:06):
Jason Moore, It's like this is like the perfect type
of role for him man really really really good. And
you get you get to meet a lot of new
like uh Polynesian actors and stuff. So that's that's cool too.
A lot of actors I ain't never seen before, actresses,
a lot of beautiful ladies to do.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
So.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
But this this show really really good. I suggested I
watched this a little bit of fictional history, fictionalized history
and another good fiction uh fictional history show. Uh Sterling K.
Brown was involved in the production of it Washington Black
on Hulu. It's another good show. It's about this kid
(19:45):
from the all. I think it's Barbados. I can't remember.
Think it's Barbados back in the days. He was a
slave in Barbados. He escaped to America when his when
they thought he killed his uh one of his owners,
his masters. He escaped to America. And this is when
America they this is when black Americas. I think this
is right, when they got their freedom in America. But
(20:06):
this is fixing out history too.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Blow.
Speaker 6 (20:07):
But he like real smart, he like a ventor and
scientists and stuff. So this is another good show, really
good show. Y'all should watching it too. Called Washington Black
really good. That's what I've been doing.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
Oh god, real quick. I did get to watch The
Lazarus Project. The first season not great, Okay, I thought
it would be. So the concept is so good. It's
like an organization that has the ability to go back
in time at one point in the year and basically
(20:41):
stopped the world from ending. And I kind of thought
I was going to focus on that more. But the
first season is really just about this dude that they
recruit and he like loses his wife and then he
just goes through all this crazy stuff where he wants
to turn back time just to save her. And I
was not expecting, man, I was. I was just kind
(21:02):
of let down by that plotline. How much second he's
knowing our report back then all right, go ahead, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
No no, what we was good? Greatest Texas Anime of
all time released the new season, season fourteen of King
of the Hill, and it is every bit of good
that I expected to be. It's it's like they didn't
miss man. He didn't miss a beat anything on the
show at all.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
And you always thinking I was an age Skip. I
did have some scipts about the ask. I would have
stayed the same age Skip works better. You see the
characters developed, and you see how each of the characters
developed in different ways over the years. Basically, Paint and
Peggy moved to Saudi a radio radio for a long
ass time because he got a job working on propane
(21:52):
out there and he retired. He's making a lot of money.
And it's funny because they have they actually do some
jokes about like how how much how much money like
those Sadi's be making and how much money they'll throw
at you they want you to work for them, and
it's funny like they even play on that.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
But uh so they moved back to Arlan, Texas, back
in the old house.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
They rented out their old house to a dude who's
played by I forget his name. Been with the boys,
the black dude, David Keith, David there you go, Yeah,
he plays he can't he stayed in.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
That house when I saw that one on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Yeah, but of course he moved back with his family.
Uh and but he comes around occasionally. Hank moves back
dal he finds out there, actually ran for city council,
did all this stuff. Still he's he still thanks Josephus.
His son Boom Howard has a family moved in with.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
I thought there was this episode where he confirms he
knows Joseph's not his son, and he like doesn't care.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
It's like he never said he said.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
He thinks Joseph is a alien like pregnant. Yeah, that's
he thinks aliens and pregnant because he did a d
n A test on Joseph. But Bill was also dating
a chick that heated with John Redcorn and he did
the DNA test on her daughter and her and Joseph
had the same.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
D n A.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
He's like, yeah, he thought the aliens are pregnanated them
with his DNA and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
But yeah, he's still and and.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
It's hilarious because his son thinks he's white because he's
like their jobs. He's like, I'm on the white guy
that works at the job site. You just gotta double take,
like nigga, you still think you white.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
It's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Okay, that's why.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Bobby Hill is still the ladies man still after laying
at Bobby Hill Sloan, Oh, because he of course he
moved out.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
He opened his own restaurant.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
And you do a lot of Dallas stuff, Like it's
a lot of Dallas mentioned because.
Speaker 5 (24:03):
Bobby, they live in Dallas, don't they.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
H No, Piggy and Hank they live in Arland. But
Bobby now they live in Dallas. I think Arland is.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
East Texas.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
I think they confirmed like Orland's like East Texas, like
near Houston and ship like that.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Yeah, it's in between, in between Houston and Dallas.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah, and that's kind of how it's spread it out
on the show because they kind of go back and
forward to Dallas. But yeah, like I said, he lived
with Joseph open On restaurant, the investor in his restaurant,
and the person he basically worked for. Is change with
son and son, Dad ted with sona son and him
had changed kind of like business.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Parker chain On do shit? Uh. Connie makes a reappearance.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
She's still loose and cheap because she's in a polly
relationship with everybody.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
She's in a poly relationship.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Yes, like change with son and son of all people?
Are you at?
Speaker 2 (25:00):
You hated him every all through the years. Its key
to him and this man ain't changed now He's still
a douchebag. And you know now y'all daty you have
what they called it audio slipping in college. That's exactly
what it seems. But uh, yeah, Bill's fat. Bill was
(25:21):
fat like the first episode or two because he which
that actually fits Bill for some ona Hanking Peggy left.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
He just started overheating.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
That's the only thing he actually cared about. Yeah, Lady
Bird was his dog too.
Speaker 6 (25:38):
Well.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
He did try to steal Lady Bird Peggy, but Hanking
Peggy weft, he let itself go. Uh But then later
on the episode, you know he lost I think like
the next episode, you know how to turn around stuff
at next episode he lost weight.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Come find out.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
One episode he was lied to the Black because he's
working in the Black barber shop now and he was
lying to them until them that he's married to Peggy.
And then all his stations like pictures of Peggy and
a bikini and stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
I forgot.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yes, it's a good show. Writing is good the show.
Just if you want to.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
Recapture your old fellows the King of the Hill, this
is how you do people all that. This is my
thing about King Hill, about all these remakes. People always
want to do remakes because they want the nostalgia for me,
especially in comedies, and all I say, like, stop doing
comedy remakes. If you can't use the same humor as
you did back in the day.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
It'll depends on who's still on this ship, because you know,
Mike Judge still even when and butt Head back, like
you know, it was a current, but it was still retarded.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Beast Head him, him, and and the South part people
kind of on the same.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
They stayed. They know their exact humor and they're not
about to change that. So you're finna pay for it
or let me do it or else.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
And I'm glad they did because it's one of the
highest watched animated shows this year on Disney. I can't wait.
I hope the next season come out. I hope this
show lasts for a long time too. They need to
be there. It should have never left. It should have
been as long as long as South Park Family Guy
in Simpsons. But hopefully, you know, we get longevity. And
it is freaking hilarious. Everybody need to go check out
it's one piece, one piece King of the Hill season
(27:24):
fourteen on Hulu and also some crazy I know this
is UFC stuff, but UFC not doing pay per views
so more Apparently they just got bought out by Paramount
Plus for like seven billion dollars basically billion dollars a
year because it's.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
Pay per views and shit, just be on paaramount.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yeah, but he said in the interview, he said, don't
give up on like pap views. Like they're doing a
card in Washington next year on the fourth of July.
I'm pretty sure that's gonna be a pay per view event.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah, it's like they got a deal for a certain
amount of they know, pay per views they got it's
probably like a deal for like ten in a year.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Yeah, uh huh some something. Yeah, yeah, you're right.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Well I thought that was interesting because you can watch
all the old UFC fights on Paramount Plus.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Now now that's click.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
Yeah, that's why I like if you like, if you're
a fan of comedy and you fan of the ULLC,
Paramount Plus is the place you can be to go
to because.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Also, on the other hand, you can watch all the old.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Comedy specials from Comedy Central on there, like every single
like the lineups and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
That's why I like about Paramount Plus. Yeah. I think
that's why I.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
Was able to compete with the other streaming services too.
And then what they did with south Park now, so
they make a big moves. I see why the South
Park people was agitating all this stuff. They make a
lot of moves in the merger.
Speaker 8 (28:44):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
But yeah, that's all I did for my whee. I'm
trying to think of that.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
I have to Huh, that's all I did for my week.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
We gotta go to a quick break when we come back.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
One Piece released the trailer after this, and we are back.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
So one Piece recently released new trailer.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Uh, says I have a vague knowledge of One Piece.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
I'm kicking off to Eli.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Wa.
Speaker 6 (29:13):
Man, you said you had questions.
Speaker 1 (29:15):
I do want the whole premises, the whole premise of.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
The second I thought you were gonna ask questions, all right,
but no, I'm.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Not just gonna explain the trailer first. Then I asked
the questions.
Speaker 6 (29:25):
You can't really explain. I don't know how to play
the trailers, Okay, so come on.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
You know how to explain the trailer. But we we
do that. We literally do that all the time.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
Not what PE. What PE is different? So the One
Piece live action trailer is out? Yeah, season two. Uh,
so it's probably gonna go over like another thirty forty episodes.
They're gonna have to be at a break break neck
pace to get this this anime because they ain't never
gonna catch up.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
With with the.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
That's not it's like one of them.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
It's just better keep going then, like they don't even
say this to the last season just stopped.
Speaker 6 (30:06):
They are confirmed confirmed season three too. So this is
the I say this even if it's only been one season,
but I think it's the best live action anime adaptation
we done ever had. Man, that's like the season one was.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
You Hockenshow could have took it? If they didn't end
it stupid?
Speaker 6 (30:24):
Don't please? I hate that made.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Me so mad.
Speaker 6 (30:34):
But one piece, Yeah, Lufy is back.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
You see some sneak previews into Robin. She got the
cowboy hat and everything. If y'all remember white costume Robin
from when they first met her, you see that in
the trailer you get the Giants. It looked pretty good.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
So what significance does the giants have? That's why I
want That's one of the questions I wanted.
Speaker 6 (30:54):
That's just the next big arc that they went they
went down in the anime, the giant stuff, when they
went when they finally when they finally went up the
waterfall or whatever it was the mountain thing whatever they was,
and they they ran into giants. It's just it's just
a big part of animal because it introduced you to
the fact that giants was in the world and stuff
like that. So that's a good part.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (31:17):
You get, you get the giants, you get robbing in here,
you get you get TV in here, you get smoker
smoking smoking, want the cooler he won the coolest characters cool.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Man, you know, Okay, he didn't care about cancer.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Two cigar not two cigarettes cigars, you gotta say that.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
And he wanted the admirals or what is his role?
Speaker 6 (31:42):
I don't want to spoil it. But he also got
a devil fruit.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
He got the fire devil food. But the okay, so
there is a fire devil person then.
Speaker 6 (31:55):
Yes, that's you already.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Know that is That's a right, Lukie Brother.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Ace is the only fire nigga.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
The one that talks to the dragon.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Mhm brother just saying it's goddamn brother, the nigga that
did the hat thing and walk what.
Speaker 6 (32:16):
I'm saying he can talk to just out him?
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Yeah, confused any fucking me up?
Speaker 4 (32:26):
Now?
Speaker 6 (32:29):
Shan he seen he's one of that of the show
of the Live actually know who Shanks is. But uh yeah,
we get giants. Like I said, Robbin, Uh I think
they said we're supposed to get introduced to Chopper, So
I don't know how that's gonna happen in this season.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
He's confirmed.
Speaker 6 (32:46):
That's a lot of stuff.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
He gets that much screen time.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
About saying, because this is whole, this whole arc is
gonna be a lot to squeeze into, like eight episodes.
They try to put Robbing and Chopper in there, that's
a lot of They might just introduce them, but getting
of the Chopper arc and this save that rest of that.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
They might make him pop up at the end to
get that test cz out of the way.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
You know, y'all pretty good.
Speaker 6 (33:09):
They already did an introduction to it, looking at a
little trailer of it. They did it at but Doom.
But uh yeah, he had the personality of everything down
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Get you.
Speaker 6 (33:19):
But uh yeah, So Xavier said he had a couple
of questions. He asked, you got any more questions.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
That Nigga didn't control the dragon, and Shank's.
Speaker 9 (33:29):
What what are you talking about? Nobody talked to that's
not that's not that's Shanks. He didn't control don't talk
about that's not how thats okay.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
It's not how it worked. I know it's not how
it worked.
Speaker 6 (33:42):
But you get just that's not loofy brother. That's his mentor.
Shanks was his role model growing up.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Oh okay, I don't feel brother. He is a brother.
Speaker 6 (33:53):
Yes, he got a brother. Yeah, yeah, he's got black hair.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
I've been thinking about Shank. Yeah. Wait, a's got the
X on his back.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
Yeah because he uh with with white Bird right yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay in a while. Yeah, that's what
I have to think about it.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Like, wait, I ain't been I've been passing episodes for years.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
That's why I'm trying to dig far back right now.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
And what's the significance of the big as Will Labo? Yeah,
you see, I don't want to spoil.
Speaker 6 (34:31):
If I spoiler, it's gonna take out the excitement of
that scene when it happened. I ain't gonna spoil nothing.
But just know it's cool, it's cool.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
What have happened?
Speaker 6 (34:40):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (34:41):
They get swallowed? He seemed like some Jonah art Jonah
And you'll.
Speaker 6 (34:46):
See, Bro, stop trying to get me the smaller. I'm
not spoilering it for the people who ain't seen.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
The vibes if you remember when the Trace and Cradles
went to go see that big ass little snake and gout.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Or yeah, he gave me them vibes.
Speaker 6 (35:00):
You'll see. But it's yeah, I just gotta say, they
do a good job of casting on this anime, on
this show too. Yeah, that's that that dude. He just
he's just mom me of Loofy.
Speaker 1 (35:10):
Man, he got, he got.
Speaker 6 (35:12):
He did a great job as he got the same
crazy personality and everything like I watched anim Yeah, y'all
watch if y'all watched anime, Loofy don't give zero f
s at all? Bro, he is he is. Loofy is psycho.
If y'all really want to be honest, is psycho, bros
a psycho.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
I'm just being if he did not get hit in
the head like.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
True, true, just go if he kept being saying true.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
I remember seeing with his mind.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
I remember seeing that meme that's like Loofy versus somebody
he know he can't be at all.
Speaker 6 (35:48):
Is a freedom fighter too, bro.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
So he ran Wait, I'm like I'm like that doing this.
Let free anybody.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
He would help free anybody, any country. He would help
for you, to not care, bro.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Some ship. Let's go.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Also along with the cast and costume and like the
scenery and stuff like that.
Speaker 6 (36:11):
Good.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Oh yeah, I'm glad they're putting a lot of money
into that choice. Yeah yeah, yeah, you kind of got
to with one PCE. You can't funk around with stuff
like that because the.
Speaker 6 (36:23):
Netflix actually gave him the money to do it. Because
Netflix like the cheap out.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
I feel like I feel like Japan. That was a
Japan decision right there, Like, don't you fuck this up,
y'all in the state, here go this money, do this
ship right now? You know what, We've been a high
video game niggas do have this c.
Speaker 6 (36:43):
I can't wait to see Smoker in live action, bro,
I just can't wait.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Bros.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
So cool, It's gonna be nice.
Speaker 5 (36:51):
Is going to be even better. Hopefully the visuals will
be even better than the first season because they have
more money.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
Yeah, while working stuff like they got more a wild
work like they're doing more action. The trailer had more
action in it might be a good might get a
little bit more action. So yeah, it's cool because this
arc really if you go back to the anime, this
art was a lot of action in this art. It
was a lot of It was a lot of hands
being thrown.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
It was like that make a break when it was
like niggas were stressed out this art, but they were
throwing them.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
Niggas was finding out about themselves. It was hands being thrown.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
Now, the Chopper art, that was kind of a slow art.
I'm just being honest. That's one of my least favorite
arcs in the anime. Chopper arc was once he got
on the crew though it was hard, but that arc
when they was going to when he was doing the crew,
it was so boring to me.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Bro I wanted to I wanted to see a lot
of them episodes. I think this is where I left
off on One Piece. Honestly, it was just a lot
of feeling.
Speaker 6 (37:51):
Being honest, Like the first two hundred episodes of One
Piece of kind of boring. I'm just being honest, like
a lot. It's a lot of boring stuff in them episodes.
Just be honest.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
So first two hundred, you know, you know it might
be more, I say, like three, but I said you not.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
That's that's the one.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
That's the hard part about trying to get somebody to
start One Piece, because.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
You know you's a hard that's a hard bye.
Speaker 3 (38:17):
When it be like it don't get good until episode.
Speaker 5 (38:21):
Usually usually you're like, oh yeah, just give it like
three episodes and it gets really good and no one piece.
Youre about three fifty.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
It's like, see one piece. It gets peaked when they
go when they when they try to go to the
prison and white Beard and the Ace and all that
stuff happens. That's when it's peaked, right before the tom skip.
After Tom Skip, it gets even better that top. That
first tom skip is so good man. Everybody cut Robin
will come back with three cups sized bigger boobs.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
I was like, that was just a random I feel
like that ship happened like.
Speaker 6 (38:58):
Twice, Like yeah, bro, every time skip, their booze get bigger.
I'm like, come on, how female anatomy works at all?
Come on man, come on man, they was they was
already grown. It happens every time. But yeah, the trailer
looks good man, I'm I'm excited for it. Any more
questions left you had about the trailer.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
I just remember what smokes Gumbcombe fruit was.
Speaker 6 (39:22):
Yeah, yeah, smoker, Yeah, yeah, it's cool. Said I remember
when I first when I first watched it, I didn't
think they was gonna be I was like, how y'all
gonna beat him?
Speaker 1 (39:31):
Man?
Speaker 6 (39:31):
That's that fruit is is op if you if you
ask me, I don't know how they gonna beat them.
I don't know how they're gonna beat them. But then
when you get to the episode, uh what episode was it?
When you get to like the episode what twelve, like
thousand or whatever, you start you start to see what gear.
(39:55):
We'll say, you're I don't remember what good it is?
Speaker 1 (40:01):
The white one?
Speaker 6 (40:03):
No after it? No, that's not what's all white one?
I never I don't think I seen it. No, I
took your five yet. I think I'm still on Gere
four big ass one. Yeah, yeah, I ain't seen that.
I ain't seen the white thing yet. I've seen the
smaters on it. Look like I don't know what he
do yet.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
On that that nigga died and got possessed by God.
Speaker 6 (40:23):
But that's all I'm gonna say right there. But yeah,
so that's it. One piece trailer looks cool. Uh, let's
go to a break.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
You know, we're gonna go to a quick break. But
when we come back, going to the dojo after this
and we are back, so you know to the Dojo
Dre which.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
You got father beating Census Free Shadows. I'm underwhelmed. That's
it's a great game, but I'm just underwhel that just
went out. Y'all know, I've been saying whenever I beat it,
I'm gonna lit y'all know, because we talked about it
so much, But just like it's been with five months,
(41:06):
so I'm finna spoil it. But come to find out, y'all. Ways,
Mom basically was one of the first assassins in Japan
for the order she might still be alive and basically,
come to find out, y'all's k is the dude that
basically said, hey, told the temple as we the assassins
(41:29):
and were coming for your nigga like Booker T, which
is cool, but I'm still like, to me, I'm just like,
what the fuck is going on in the current time Assassin's
creed time, and it's just say y'all abandoned it now
because that's really one of the y'all came in val
(41:50):
Halla the way y'all did not say nothing about what
happened in Valhalla.
Speaker 4 (41:57):
In Mirage, mind you, the nigga that you play as
made it to one of the ancient send new machines
and made it to current time. Y'all gave them a
whole game after that, finally took us to Japan and
did the Black thing, Black Samurai thing.
Speaker 3 (42:18):
It actually made the story okay, and then say what
happened with that? I'm disappointed, but positively though the story
was okay, I enjoyed it.
Speaker 4 (42:27):
It was like standard Assassin's Creedy. It had heart at times.
I enjoyed the side quests weren't helly grindy.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
I took out everybody you know how, and by you
know how, it's like every circle of the organization.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
You gotta take up all of them, go all of them.
Read I did.
Speaker 4 (42:50):
I spared a few people if they was nice. But
I'll give it a solid eight in this current out
of the current era Assassin's Creeds, I just don't like
they took out the free climb shit where you could
just run up amount and it just climbed that.
Speaker 3 (43:11):
I feel like that it'd be a thing and you
air Japan. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but
don't buy the Bitch full price, wait till it's on sale.
Speaker 5 (43:25):
It's it's interesting you say that I've heard that, uh
the good it was a good ending or the good
second half of the game, and it sounds like you
like the first half more than the second half.
Speaker 4 (43:39):
It's like, you know, me, I'm gonna do all the
side shit and then do the main STU. So that's
the where it kind of like, I it was like
one of them. When I finally took out enough of
the like people that killed her daddy, then it was like, Okay,
now Way is learning about her mama being an assassin,
(44:01):
and then with yask is figuring out why does he
know about the assassins and come to find out he
was a slave for a templar. So then the rest
of his story is taking out all the templars and
like you know in Japan, which he did because apparently
(44:23):
shit like it's cool like once you it's like, but
after you kind of beat both of the individual stories,
that's peak.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
That was peak.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
Then after that it is me doing all the rest
of the side murdering people.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (44:40):
Some of them have okay interest in storylines, so I'm treash,
like classic generic shit. Yeah, but oh my little street,
I couldn't.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
It ain't like it was bad just wasn't great.
Speaker 5 (44:55):
I feel it.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
I understand. Yeah, you know how they was like posting it.
Speaker 4 (44:59):
It's like this the next step in that, sayensus Creed
and you know we in Japan. It felt it felt
like a stealthier That's what it's said. It's like it
was like a mold tightened up. It's weird how the
(45:23):
DLC's got to explained some shit. That's the best way
I can say. Oh shit, okay, and I will say this,
like y'all know anything about the uh you know how
it was like the three gods like that Desmond was
talking to.
Speaker 5 (45:37):
Yeah, the people from the beginning of all.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
Time, they came back, they're still there, and there's somebody
and I guess the way people with my homeboys. And
it's like basically it's you and the analyst on some shit.
So it's like the one that was telling Desmond to
be an assassin and all this shit basically doing it
to you now. But at the same time she's showing
(45:59):
you you fragments of all the other ship. But then
the other the other two is coming here like what
the are you doing? And then it's like this, even
when I was telling you about it, it's like you
do know this bitch?
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Justice evil with me?
Speaker 6 (46:17):
How good to me? My favorite part was the Lunaro
story part of it. We went when we we we
killed him guys identity back. I was hyping.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
That was cool.
Speaker 6 (46:29):
I appreciated that, man. It was that was so.
Speaker 1 (46:32):
Fun like mine.
Speaker 3 (46:34):
It was like when he when he had to go
killing all them niggas from his old school, it was
either you learned from them while you gotta kills because
then at the end they they killed his master.
Speaker 4 (46:46):
Why why And he had to tell old boys, just
a nigga, you kind of the hand of this ship.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
Now you cannot go in and murder everybody.
Speaker 6 (46:55):
Let me do it. And then what made me mad?
Drake if we played all these hours and we getting
no sense of of conclusion for Naway because they trying
to money grab and do a DLC or whatever, so
you get no career conclusion of her ending and stuff.
You don't get no, it made me mad.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Man.
Speaker 4 (47:15):
When she looked out and told it was like and
my mama might still be alive.
Speaker 6 (47:23):
Made me man. I'm like, come on, man, we don't
get to finish that. We don't get to finish that story. Man,
all these hours I played. I didn't get a sense
of relief or nothing.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
Man, It's just what I'm like, you did it to me.
That's why I like these ds sies gotta be nice
because I ain't gonna lie I find I went back
like last year because the hell of DL seasons on sale,
So you know, I want to hear said, fuck it.
Speaker 4 (47:48):
I want to hear about like, you know, because it's
been like fifteen dollars and you know, they be just
like faulty.
Speaker 3 (47:53):
So I said, fuck it, I wait for it. And
it made a lot of stuff makes sense. It was like, Okay,
that's why I was like, they do that now. They
kind of explain how the extra in the back end
the BLCS, which is like dick move, but yeah, get
(48:15):
it on sale if you got what it is, they
ubi South place shit playing with it. But other than that,
that's all I got for that. Next to you know,
we in the second half of the year, we didn't
have a couple of hits, a couple of sleepers out
of nowhere, you know what I mean. So I wanted
to pull up a couple of the games we still
(48:37):
got about to come out this year that y'all should
be on the lookout for. First off, my fear of
the Old Country dropped like four days ago. I'm still
mad as hell on broke, still waiting on my tweet
chick y'all fucking up right now tweets. I'm trying to
buy my fear that dropped on the eighth, and I ain't.
(48:58):
I didn't heard a number of good stuff about it.
That niggas like, it's like the Mafia, but you act
like the Mafia movies which you played, and there's actually
the Mafia game, So that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Was it Mafia Rockstar game or.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
Like didn't have an older game, Like that's not That's
like a sequel, isn't it.
Speaker 5 (49:18):
Yeah, it's Mafia three, right, That's what it.
Speaker 3 (49:24):
Was, the Mafia games. But I'm talking about the Mafia movie.
Speaker 4 (49:31):
Like it makes it's like playing the Mafia movie but
in a game, which kind of what Mafia was. But
just when you know, they insistently like they took it back.
It's like a prequel be for a while of them.
Oh so, and I don't heard nothing but the good
shit about them. Next up, we got one of the
(49:52):
greatest zombie fighters ever, Kyle Crane, finally coming back for
Dying Light the Beast on our top of twenty second.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
If y'all never played Dying Light, it's probably like one
of the isn't it Yes, it's it's it's basically supposed
to be, like where they haven't said whether it's gonna
be before Dying Light two or or come to find
out during Dying Light to the nigga was.
Speaker 4 (50:22):
Still alive this whole time, and the way they've been,
like I've been reading it, it's like, oh snap, So
he made it a little bit after Dying like one,
but they ended up catching him in experiment because you know,
that was one of the other things that that's why
they needed the uh formula that he had, the vaccines
(50:42):
that he had because they wanted to like make weaponize it.
But it was kind of also cure here. Game like
Dynlight one is cheap.
Speaker 3 (50:54):
If y'all just want like a great ugbie fight, like
with Parkour, the park Court on their game is unmatched,
and you know, first person park Court is not easy.
Next time, we got Medica Solid Delta Snake Eating they
finally bringing it back on the site. If y'all never
(51:15):
played Medica Solid three Snacks, you sleep. I just got
the Medical sun By one of the hardest openings Elva
in a video game. They hit the kajamba, Baby, you
going hit the yo Conjamba. It's what he does. Next up,
we got border Lands fold. I'm still skeptical.
Speaker 4 (51:35):
I'm not gonna lie. I'm telling y'all now, but apparently
it's it's a time jump. We're gonna see how it goes.
Coming out September twelfth. Hopefully this is a return to
form for him. Sonic Grason is returning two like on
the twenty fifth of September. Never was the Sonic Grason.
(51:57):
I was more of a crash team racing. But people
fuck with enough forord to get another game turned out.
Speaker 5 (52:03):
They're really pushing for this one. I've heard some things
about it. I heard how Mikho's gonna be in there, right,
I've seen that. Wait, was they seriously with Nigga's trolling
with no serious?
Speaker 1 (52:16):
Oh? God, that's funny. Nigga's fanny.
Speaker 6 (52:21):
Ship.
Speaker 4 (52:21):
Next thing, we got Silent Hill. Elf, Listen, I'm ready
for it. I ain't just like, well, you know, dude,
we ain't got a good mess you up in the
head horror game in a while. You know, we've been
in there, real gory, like we know how to use
graphics to make shit really grow Test era. You know, Silent,
(52:42):
He'll do it too, but they do it in a
creepy ass way that you can't really just have a match.
Then they started getting real super Japanese with it, which
is even more scary.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
Yeah, September loaded.
Speaker 3 (52:58):
But then in October, baby, after goddamn what twenty two years,
we finally got Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines too. I'll be
telling people this to this I'm streaming. I might stream
that shit later on the front the top, just to
do it. That's one of them classic, just one of them,
(53:20):
like classic old school PC games that just was it buggy.
Speaker 4 (53:25):
It was really fucked up, but it was a great game.
The heart was there.
Speaker 3 (53:31):
It's like fall Out New Vegas, but even more bugger
like it's too much you can do. And to this day,
all you gotta do is get the Vampire Masquerade goaded.
And they finally actually got a sequel, one of the
games that actually made it out of development. Hell of
(53:52):
twenty plus is that come out on my and they
ain't got to exact date yet, but it's October and
we're going to Seattle this time and then all right,
so Ram saying in the Bloodlines universe, like California, the
wild West, like you're not about to get vampires organized
in California.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
They're just gonna stare at you like.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
I know I can't kill you, but I will shoot
you in your kneecap and I know that shit hurt.
Get the fuck out my ball type shit.
Speaker 4 (54:26):
So it's going to Washington, and Washington is like basically
like we're all the bougie vampire is at the like
super my dad's a lawyer, but actually my great granddad's
a vampire and he's kind of been here since like
World War two.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
He owns half of this shit, you know, it's one
of them like that half of them niggas are all
riches hell type shit because they've been alive for them
a hundred plush years, well really not like five hundred years.
It gets deep next to We Got the Out Worlds Too,
Great offg from the Original Creatives Subsidy and the Original
(55:08):
Fallout Niggas. If you I don't know.
Speaker 4 (55:12):
Ninja guidenok hey, I'm I don't know about y'all, but
at the plane when it was Ninja gotten black when
they redid it.
Speaker 1 (55:18):
I was hyped.
Speaker 5 (55:20):
I can see that. I would like to see how
that works out, because I think Ninja Guiden these days
could be really good. Not that you know, Black wasn't.
I just think more modernized.
Speaker 3 (55:35):
Did you see like the new the Raven nigga they got.
It's like a different plan. It's I saw like a
gameplay video.
Speaker 1 (55:44):
And do you.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Peak you remember Metalgive Rising Revengeance with riding.
Speaker 5 (55:51):
Of course the.
Speaker 4 (55:52):
Smoothness of that, but it was like Devil May even
more Devil May Kari.
Speaker 1 (55:57):
That's what it was looking like.
Speaker 4 (56:00):
It had more like Devil May Cry, like grappling control
type of shit, but the fighting lifting smoothes butter God
damn it.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
So I'm ready for that.
Speaker 4 (56:13):
Just I like, I'm always appreciated good hacking slash, you
know what I mean, love a good hacking.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
Slash mm hmm. Everything else is six. That's big, big.
Speaker 3 (56:26):
So I think we're gonna wrap up if I'm missing
the thing, he mean, let me know what's up.
Speaker 1 (56:31):
Oh shit, my man.
Speaker 3 (56:32):
Last one. This is like a People but on some
classical shit. Because I only played these two games, like
on game Boy Advance, but.
Speaker 4 (56:44):
Dragon Chris one and two is getting HD two D remix,
and I've.
Speaker 3 (56:50):
Been appreciating these HDS two D HD remakes.
Speaker 4 (56:55):
Those have been okay, and they haven't been like taxing
the arm and the.
Speaker 3 (56:59):
Leg for the miss because you know, Nintendo will Nintendo
and they come out on the thirties, but I ain't
really I think, Yeah, it's like with a lot of these,
a lot of other games, like they ain't really just
put a date on it. So I'm gonna just wait
for them because there's a few I know supposed to
(57:19):
but then you know they'll end up coming out of
nowhere like October hit that long Twitter post like we're
deeply sorry to say we need more time than we
need we is we need more time in the oven statement.
So yeah, if I missed anything that y'all know, finnah drop,
that's probably gonna be with let me know, because I'll
(57:41):
be trying to figure out what I need to get.
Then y'all gonna watch me straight. If not, y'all probably
gonna watch me stream and if I do buy it,
so you don't have to, but do just so no
just playing. But that's all I got.
Speaker 6 (57:59):
All right, We got a list by Zach Zamara Zamora.
I thought it was interesting because it was anime focus.
We talked about one piece today. I want to see
what this list was about. And he got a list
and it let me see ten animes that changed the
industry and fand them forever. So I want to go
through a couple of anime on this lists. So I
(58:19):
think this is a pretty good list. Game change on
the list, he got Sailor Moon, and I just can't
agree with this. Even I can't agree with this more.
Sailor Moon was not the origin of the magical Girl general.
In fact, it was far from it. The general roughly
dates back to the nineteen fifties dang and was largely
(58:41):
dominated by stories about young witches. However, during the eighties
the focus which towards transformation and pop culture, before sal
The Moon rising in the nineties and established the formula
that still followed today. Yes, that say the Moon. That's
one of the three girl animes that I growing up.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
I watched.
Speaker 6 (59:01):
I used to watch Salmon after school many Yeah, bro,
he just.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
One of them girl anime? Is that that became a blueprint? Yep,
that's what he said, Like if you if you do,
if you can make a closer enough good anime that's
works like Sailor Moon. That isn't a direct cop you gotta.
Speaker 1 (59:19):
Hit yeah, like totally spons no.
Speaker 3 (59:27):
A little bit, but not the female trio.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
Yeah, you can give you that one.
Speaker 6 (59:34):
In the West, Salor Moon put the Magical Girl jener
on the map and offered an anime experience that appeal
to young female audience. As major shown the titles were
breaking onto the scene. Magical Girl stories have changed quite
a bit since then thanks to the shows like, uh,
don't know the name of that show, but it was
Sailor Moon that opened the door in the first place.
(59:54):
That's true, man, we have a Kira problem in the
first that's time I watched the Cairo. Man. I'm in
the first time watching Man Happy Happy anime, and then
you watch it, it's like that in Berserk.
Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
Then the one is like, oh oh, and they got
the care a love actually coming out.
Speaker 6 (01:00:14):
Soul Hero was a school shooter school shooter anime. Just
be honest with y'all, Man was school shooter anime?
Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Telling you, bro, that was a crazy anime. See as
a kid too, that's my first animation titty like and
then seeing it crazy yep.
Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
I give you a little bit on that.
Speaker 6 (01:00:37):
The cyberpunk general has always seen great representation in anime.
Retro predictions, O bleak future ruled by lawlessness and the
rapid advances of technology have always just vibed with viewers.
They was in that bag when they was in the
art style, and no other cyberpunk title is is as
(01:00:58):
influential on the anime industry and animation as a whole
as nineteen nineteen ninety eight, I mean nineteen eighty eight Secure,
a career based on the manga the same name by
director Kashiro Ultramo, changed animation forever, moved away from traditionality
(01:01:18):
techniques and instead of being animated mostly entire at twenty
four frans per second. Boy, that must have been a
That must have been a relation back then, boy, you
know they was.
Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
They were still hand drawing then too.
Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Hell oh god, hell yeah boy. Then that's back when
you had to work like a slave too.
Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
So they sweat shot.
Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
You're finna see this cartoon bit in all the details,
and we saw all the detail.
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
That's why I was so good there because they I mean,
it makes sense because it still holds up. Next, we
have to go of studio Ghibli films. Spirited Away there,
it's just one that the one that got him. That's
the one that got him. What Yeah, Oscar, Yeah, that's
the one in one h.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Oscar.
Speaker 6 (01:02:11):
Spirit Away is one of the most recognizable films in
anime history from uguably the most recognizable name in the industry,
studio Ghibli. Much like a Cure before it, the film
helped to establish anime as a legitimate art form on
the global scale, being recognized for its greatness outside of
Japan with a two thousand and three Oschool win.
Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
It was almost that's a really good movie.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
The story in it was just even as an adult
because as a kid kind of I saw it like
at three o'clock in the morning. I woke up randomly
and I watched it, and then the old lady kind
of gave me fever dreams.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
But it was like anime Alison Wonderland.
Speaker 2 (01:02:50):
Yeah, it seems like now as an adult, I'm starting
to appreciate everything it is.
Speaker 1 (01:02:54):
It's exactly like anime Wonderland.
Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
I like everything about it, like the story and the
visuals and stuff in it, and like it's just really
really cool.
Speaker 6 (01:03:07):
Next we have Attack on Titan. Emerald was right, very
few shows boosting the sort of success joyed by Attack
on Titan during the ten years it was on air.
Breaks they count ten years with the breaks because they
(01:03:28):
took like that.
Speaker 5 (01:03:29):
It was like a seven year break or something.
Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:03:33):
By the time it reached its final season, the release
of the each each new episode turned into a celebration
among the anime community, and fans couldn't wait to see
whatever developed developments awaited. Aaron Yager and the Island of Paradise.
Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
I got a question.
Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
Yeah, so the blonde haird dude another dude or tightened like,
it's the Titans, just like a race of people that
this has been.
Speaker 6 (01:03:57):
Pretty much people.
Speaker 4 (01:03:59):
Yeah, yeah, you know that because Fish much earlier about it,
explaining and you' whole it's so hard to explain Attack
on Titano.
Speaker 6 (01:04:13):
Everybody says much earlier in this run. However, Tackle Titan
was the leader of the movement that not only delivered
anime to the mainstream audience in the whist, but also
transformed it from a niche interest to a major form
of entertainment. And they would not be what it was
today outside Japan without Attack on Titan. And all they
did was make anime cool in the whistling, but okay, nah,
(01:04:39):
A lot of normalists talked about Attack on Titans being
I ain't never seen that many enormous talk about the
anime in my life because that ended.
Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
Up becoming that one you show a nigga that don't watch.
Speaker 4 (01:04:52):
And that's a wild anime like gateway drug to bring
somebody in with.
Speaker 6 (01:04:58):
Because because I would never think to do that, because
Tago Titan, you got to really pay attention to that show.
A couple of more I wanted to say, uh, two more,
three more, I want to say Pokemon, of course yes.
As a multimedia franchise, Pokemon is arguing the most popular
name to come out of Japan, alongside its publisher Nintendo.
(01:05:21):
While it's video games might be the main draw of
the franchise, the popularity and success of its numerous TV
anime series cannot be understated. While the QT mascot was
a main state and anime long before Pokemon's arrival on
the world stage, few shows ever made those mascots are
(01:05:43):
central focused, at least not to the scale that Pokemon did.
The influx of many monsters the traded card based titles
in the years that followed can be traced directly back
to Pokemon, while it's global popularity only spread only spread
anime to children's television screens around the world.
Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Yeah, we wouldn't have you if it wasn't for Pokemon,
wasn't it. We won't have your cards if it were
for Pokemon cars.
Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
Yeah, everything piggybacked after the success of the trading cards.
Speaker 3 (01:06:15):
Just want to I want, I want to say that
it was both like around the same time because I
remember the game came out, because I want to say
because because I want niggas telling me they got you
Gio from maic that was basically magic was out before
your card. I was like you yeah, was basically like
anime magic.
Speaker 6 (01:06:35):
Together because I was I was a kid kid when
when the.
Speaker 3 (01:06:38):
Pokemon car you yeah, was like ninety eight.
Speaker 6 (01:06:42):
Yeah, Pokemon was out long. I was a kid keeping
Pokemon cars.
Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
Pokemon we should have cards, it might be worth money
type because niggas are going crazy over Pokemon cards.
Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
Like them niggas all you see is a neck beard
or weird nigga is just like standing in front of
them machines, machines and the case niggas fighting over him. Like, Bro,
you've been here you didn't got like seven, all right,
I want to get to these top two before we
(01:07:15):
close it out. Uh.
Speaker 6 (01:07:17):
This one one of the greatest openings of all time.
Neon Genesis Evangelian Boy one of the greatest over all time.
This this great anime. Kind of weird though a couple
of weird bombs.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
In Earth, but.
Speaker 3 (01:07:35):
This old school Japan to this nineties.
Speaker 6 (01:07:39):
Japan Neon Genesis Evigelion. It's known for being influcial, but
many fans don't thewarehiw is exact to exactly what is
standing was The serious impact stretches far beyond the boundaries
of the mecca genre, and it can't be argued that
Evangelian saved anime as a whole. The nineteen nineties are
known as Japan's Lost decade. Fine by the bubble bursts
(01:08:01):
of nineteen ninety that kicked off years of economic stagnation,
public speriences weren't exactly how, and the art come out
of Japan reflected that while the anime industry struggled to
bring in a profit, incame the genius Genesis Evangelian, which
became an overnight smashit phenomenon to capture the attention of
the entire nation. Due to the mature subject matter of Invangelia,
(01:08:26):
other titles began dobby into heavier themes. College TV Network
to open late night spots for anime. Whoa, that's when
they got violent. Those late night slots are still mainly
occupied by anime today. The off Farm might have survived
without Evangelia, but the series did quite a bit to
revitalize it. Man, I didn't know their history, and that's.
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
Good, that's funny. Shit, that's how we got you know,
how dull suns started doing the late night animation. Shit,
that's gotta take You gotta learn from the books, nigga,
and that way.
Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
What they say, kids supposed to be sleep at that time,
so it's easy to let you know. They'll let you
play super Vilce later at night, then the day.
Speaker 6 (01:09:14):
And it gets us to what number one is Dragon
Ball Tori Yoma, the Goat Tori Yoma, dragon ball Z
give flowers. Those who weren't around, those who wasn't around
for animes early two thousands, Boom in the West might
have a difficult time grasping the portmans of Dragon Boss. Yep,
(01:09:35):
all these two thousand babies and two thousand and ten babies.
They don't understand how important Dragon Bams. They don't understand.
Suddenly anime was being broadcast on cable television throughout North
America of all ages became instantly captivated by Goku and company.
That's true, man, general audience.
Speaker 3 (01:09:54):
Today, after school, general.
Speaker 6 (01:09:57):
Audiences typically had no experien parents were showing it anime
before the Robbo Dragon ba Z.
Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
That's true.
Speaker 6 (01:10:03):
And it did take long for the seriously breakthrough into
Western mainstream culture. Shortly following its initial run, shows like
One Piece and Naruto followed behind, and the rest is history.
Outside Japan, no anime series has had a bigger impact
on main street pop culture and Dragon ball Z that's true.
That's true, man, it's right.
Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
What saying, like the two thousand two kids don't understand
because whatever they talk about favorite animes, them niggas don't
even mention.
Speaker 6 (01:10:31):
They think Dragon bar Z is for boomers, Bro. They
leave that, but they think it's way Dragon bar was groundbreaking, bro,
it was groundbreaking.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
You know, I feel like with Aslank Brown at the
UH which what she was trying to tell the real
don't preach me.
Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
Rules When I was there when they was built but.
Speaker 6 (01:10:49):
You know, you don't know, man. You know we was
there for the beginning of the anime boom. Man, we
understand this thing.
Speaker 7 (01:10:55):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
We were the anime boom, the reason that anime came.
Speaker 6 (01:10:59):
Over here, and we were watching it before anybody was
watching it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:01):
Man, you know how you actually can watch you started
anime started coming on at like nine o'clock, Nigga, I
was there when it was on.
Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
It three.
Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
As soon as you get out of school, Nigga, Dragon
balls and you're trying to get to the house to
figure out the fuck going on?
Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
