How's we going? I mean, I know you've been doing
a lot of you know, production work and stuff like that.

Yeah. Crazy crazy. I'm going to be at Blurdcown next
week with line Forge. I am actually working with the
marketing team on Eanu, the animated series coming to Cartoon
Networking Max on April fifth and sixth. So I'm really
excited at line Forge produced the entire thing. It's based
on Boykoupased graphic novel Child of wonder Uh.

It is a Nigerian based comic.

Book and the entire cast is African, and it it's
in English, but the entire cast is African. And I'm
excited because I don't think people realize that it's done
two D animation style, so it's gonna look a lot
like anime. It is made for kids, but it's sort
of like so was you know, Steven Universe was also being.

Skits and how many you know how many two D animation,
So like.

It's like it got real, you got adult, it got
the adult themes, but it stick and appears to the kids.

they moved it up. We were lucky because it was
right in the window of our launch. But yeah, we
didn't go last year because we were at San Diego
and it was at the same time as San Diego.

So I'm excited. It's it's gonna be a lot of fun.

But I've been doing that, and then when I'm not
marketing and stuff like that, I have done some journalism,
which is great. I've been I'm still a correspondent for
Rotten Tomatoes. So I got to into you the cast
of Uh. I got to interview the cast of Severance.
We were just talking about that, and I also got

to I don't know if it's up yet or not,
but I got to talk to Robert de Niro, which
is kind of cool. I got to interview him and
a bunch of other amazing actors for a series or
that dropped on Netflix last week called Zero Day, which if.

I don't know about that because I'm tired a lot.

But yeah, I'm honestly compared to I will say I

constantly look at the news cycle and freak out as
the like what's happening in this country? So I'm happy
to be busy as supposed to be home low key

I just had because we reviewed Captain America last week,
and I love to get your intake, I mean, your
your insight on movies that we reviewed already, because you
can give good insight. So what what did you think
of Captain America? Before we move on? What'd you think?

Two things?

One disclaimer, I also saw Captain Captain America on a
cruise because I was invited to a Disney That's some of.

The most experience.

Speaker 6 (06:29):
That's what I'm saying.

So you was around Disney adults.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Yeah, but I will. But here's the thing. I'm going
to do two things.

I'm going to talk about the people around me what
they thought, and then I want to talk about what
I saw. So there's also there's also multiple layers to
this because I saw a chunk of the film a
year ago, and the chunk that I saw was not
in the final edit because I was at CinemaCon last year,
and there was like a five minute clip that was
shown and I'm like, half of this is not in

the movie. Why.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
So one of the.

Speaker 7 (06:59):
Things I will say is it's not that. Is that
so much of the original film? Yes, And you know
how they say life imitates to arts and things like art.
So there was several The clip I saw which never
made it to the final cut or was edited out,
was there were several super super soldiers who started shooting

at the president, not just Isaiah, so you saw how
they were fighting other people, but actually all of them
store them that's what made the glass break, not Isaiah's.
So they cut that out because basically they cut that
out after someone tried to shoot at Trump, so that

scene was not as climactic because it was like the
glass bulletproof and then all of a sudden it wasn't.

It was very bizarre.

Speaker 7 (07:48):
So yeah, that was one thing. And then there was
another thing with the girl, the little Short woman who's
part of the Red Room. She is actually based on
and is rare comic character who was anti Palestinian and
was very heavily in the comics anti Palestinian. So they

had to dial her way back and unfortunately a lot
of her scenes were also with Anthony mackew scenes, So
what I felt we saw was an edited down version
of what we were supposed to see at the same time.

So what I tried to do was I was like,
all right, I'm gonna try and pretend I don't know
all of that and just watch the film. I personally,
if I was not a Marvel fan and I was
just excuse me. If I was just watching the show,
watching the movie, you know, with my friends or my kids,
and I didn't know that much about the comics or
anything else, I.

Wouldn't think it's that bad.

Speaker 7 (08:43):
It looks it felt like a continuation a Falcon in
the Winter Soldier, like another episode. I felt it should
have been like an episode. It wasn't terrible, but if
you look at what it was supposed to be and
how it's leaning into the next phase of Marvel, I'm like, this,
ain't it.

Here's the other thing which is very interesting to me.

I don't I still don't know why this is the
start of this phase. Because Thunderbolts, I can't tell you
what I know, but Thunderbolts is going to be amazing.

And they should have led with Thunderbolts.

You misbuilding an avengest team. You can't leave with Dunderbolts.

That's the thing. But here's but here's the thing. Here,
here's the thing. Here is the thing.

We know.

There's so many things that are intertwined in that. But
I really feel like Captain America, it is not It
has nothing to do with Anthony Mackin did a great job.

All the people in this movie did a great job.

Speaker 7 (09:38):
Harrison for I knew there was going to be a
problem when they released Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk
in commercial. I was like, you don't do that unless
something's wrong. And what I felt was in terms of
the storytelling, it felt very, very edited down based on
the I didn't see the whole film. I'd seen a
chunk of it, and it felt like it had a

really nice pain. But unfortunately, because so much of our
entertainment is now anything political about you, Yes, they had
to edit it down for audiences because they didn't want
to look like it was okay to shoot at the
president and okay to be anti Palestinian and okay, which
is all right, but I felt like they should have

done more reshoots to edit it and make it more
cohesive as opposed to betting the farm on the Red
Hulk because the other the other problem with that is
and again this is for people who don't know. If
you're not a regular Marvel fan, you don't realize that
they don't own the Hulp.

Universal owns the Hope.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
Universal owned, so the only Hope they own is Red Hup,
and that was why they introduced him, because it can't
Mark Ruffalo said this a while ago. He's like, I
wish I could get a whole movie, but they're never
going to do it because Universal is holding onto that character.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
So that it should because the only person who should
have been fighting Red Hulk was the Hulk.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
That's what I said.

Speaker 7 (10:59):
I say, but there's no they don't own it. And
it's the same thing with Spider Man. It's the same
thing with a lot of so I don't know. I
I thought it was good for what they had to
had to edit it down to. Couldn't have been better, yes,
but there was no way around that because of how
many things had to be taken out of the film.

And so I still think they should have led with Thunderbolts.
I really need to see Blade back on that schedule.
I'm mad that they canceled a Koya and that's all
I'm gonna say about.

They don't know how to just make a sepal storeres.

You have to leave with Captain America in.

I'm happy that I'm a Carl Lovey I'm an old
Carl Lovely fan, and I thought he did a great job.
And I feel bad that we couldn't see more of
his development on screen because of I think some of.

That got chopped out too. So that's my that's my thoughts.

But Thunderbolts, Hey, I can't wait to see it now
that you.

Said that enthusiasm made me want to, you know what,
I was on the fence, But the fact that you
hit the oh.

the way I think I can say this much.

You know, we all know that Captain America had a
bunch of reshoots and re edits or whatever. Thunderbolts has
hardly any I heard that everybody, all the higher ups
at Marvel is show pleased with this film. Now, could
it still suck, sure, but what I have seen does
not suck.

Coinperate wise, they've been flowed so good.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
They was like, hell, yeah, nobody's said changed this or
none of that.

And also Marvel is good.

And I hate to say it because I like how
Marvel is so diverse and has so many different kinds
of characters for all kinds of you know, age groups,
racist ethnicities.

But because the general public is so sis head, white
male and angry right now, they're going to like it
because it goes in that direction. That's the other, that's
the other.

It's gonna be a good story, but also it feeds
a lot of the social media that they're trying to
get back.

The only other thing I don't agree with, and I've
been very vocal about this, is I don't think I
don't think Robert Downey Junior should be coming back to
the job.

Because they're not going to do Tony Stark being doomed
in another alternate universe.

I'm like, why if you don't, If you don't use
the comic if they're not going to do the comic version,

I just wish they could get the animation team to

And I also saw the video that he posted like
a couple of weeks ago. He did he has a
whole channel now on YouTube, and he posted his first
video about a week or two ago and it was
breaking down how he said he was systematically attacked. Now,
he said, I have had my shirt off on social
media and not my whole body my shirt off four
years and no one had a problem with that when

they hired me to do this show. What they had
a problem with was when he started. He's saying that
when he started to complain to management about how he
and other members of his team were being treated by
some older members of the animation staff, that's when the
trouble started. And when there was a there was a

he said, there's a female member on his team that
was being harassed, and he stood up for her, and
that is when more stuff started to happen.

So I'm the he said everything.

He's saying that everything that they're accusing him of didn't happen.
He didn't touch anybody, he and talk to anybody. All
the stuff that they're saying happened.

He said. It was just basically systematic to get him
out because he was sticking up for his team and
they didn't like that.

They were like, stay in your lane, you know, or else,
And so I I when everybody said, oh, it was
the only fans or whatever, I'm like, yeah, I mean,
here's the thing, but if you had the only fans
before they hired him, that's on them and so and everybody.
I don't know, I've seen with his shirt off on
social media for years. That's not new, I was gonna say,

But I did have my eyes opened when I listened
to his It's about an hour and a half.

It's long. It took a ninety minute YouTube video.

And he said he's going to and and he said
he wasn't allowed. He couldn't do the video until his
lawyer had clearance. And his lawyer now gave him clearance
because they have the evidence.

So I was like, interesting, Yeah, but here's the thing.
I believe.

I believe the victims. I'm just trying to get clearance
on who the victims are because I feel for the
girl that he was saying he stood up for that.
They're now saying he was the problem for. So whoever
the victims are, I believe them. But I also believe
that there is systematic racism embedded in so and so

I do. Where I'm at is there's truth in here somewhere,
And I don't think we're gonna know, like like Gene
Hackman's death, we're not going to know for a minute.

found his wife in the bathroom floor.

going to tell you I actually don't think it's foul play,
and I'll tell you what I think it is. And
this is just coming from somebody who's had to be
around elders that have dementia. I don't I don't think
it's a conspiracy. It's kind of all there. So basically

the news that they let out about Gene Hackman, for
those of you who don't don't know what we're talking about,
Gene Mackman and his wife died, were found dead in
their home. The dog was also dead. The door was
slightly open, I think, to the house. So everybody was saying, oh,
it's probably carbon monox side. They have ruled out carbon
man out side. Let me explain what I think happened.

They thank you, Well, it could be carbon rossacuse people
could die and they're.

Sleep that white fit. No, no, no, they could have
if you faulted.

They moved into the house and it was new and
it could have been faulty heater.

But here's the thing. She was found in the bathroom. Yes,
the repels next were He was found in their mud room,
which is basically where you a room that where you
just take your shoes off and your boots and your
coats are so it's like the yeah, the back of
the house.

Probably so. And one one of the dogs, they have
three dogs. One of the dogs was dead. So here's
my thought.

They said yesterday on the news that his wife was mummified,
meaning naturally mummified. And the only way you can be
mummified naturally is if the if the body is exposed
to humidity for about six to ten months.

It's not a quick process.

They've been dead for a wife, right, No, but wait,
she was mummified.

He was not, which means she he died first.

And remember the pictures that we saw, the pictures that
we saw of him last year, he looked feeble. Remember, So,
if we're dealing with a ninety five year old band
that has dementia, that is, and she's his caretaker, and
she either has a heart attack or falls and hits
her head or something in the bathroom. Maybe she was
going to get her pills, you know, because she had
chest pains or something, she dies. But if he has dementia,

he doesn't know what time it is, what day it is.
He's walking around the house calling for he wouldn't remember
to feed the dog, She wouldn't remember to feed himself,
he wouldn't.

Know how to call nine friend that.

Speaker 7 (20:34):
I have been around people elders who have this type
of dementia and they cannot be by themselves. So if
they isolated themselves like this, family members were clearly not
checking on them and she died eight six months ago.
He might have died simply because he forgot to feed himself.
He might have got fainted and just never got up

or hit his head. The dog might have died that
way too. The other two dogs that were not we're outside.
I personally think that they left and would find food
and just came back to the only.

Home they knew.

And I know this is all conspiracy theory or whatever,
but if you look at it from a dementia standpoint,
I think it's a very sad story and that it's
not murder.

When they said she was MoMA fined and he wasn't,
I'm like, no, that can't happen quickly.

they'll have uh it all squeared away, but it sounds
like you're on the right track.
