Speaker 2 (02:08):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
What an off, eventful day and playoff basketball. We had
a team got on an eight nothing run, down by eight,
down by seven. They end up winning by one in
overtime after they go on an eight oh run and
forty seconds to go. But first the Nuggets take a
three to two lead one thirty one, one fifteen over
the LA Clippers. Jamal Murray set the tone early tonight.

(02:31):
Like you know what, guys, we going back to LA
were the chance to close this thing out. We are
not going to stay alive. We're going back to LA
and we're gonna try to close this thing out. Forty
three points, five rebounds, seven and cents, three steals, eight
or fourteen from the three point line. Joe, I've seen
this over the last two years when he did this

(02:52):
to the Lakers, so I know what he's more than
capable doing. I saw him do this to the Clippers
in the bubble in the games and the game and
guess what he dropped forward in the clothes I gave.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I've seen him do this.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
He and Donoba Mitchell get into a tussle and they
both go get fifty.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
So I'm not surprised.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
But you can't ask on a night that Nicola Joki
was held somewhat in check. He did have a triple double,
but it wasn't a meaningful you know, I hate say
not nonmedia, but he wasn't Nicola Yokis that were used
to seeing they got great contributions. Russ gave him twenty
one points off the bench in twenty five minutes, but
it was Jamal Murray it was Aaron Gord. Everybody chipped

(03:30):
in on a night that Yoki didn't have it. Jamal
Murray did. What did you like about what you saw
from Jamal Murray early on in this? I just liked
the way Jamal asserted himself man to kind of start
the game. You know, he got going early, and it
was just like a trickle effect. You know, you got
Russ came in. He gave you great productivity, gave you
sixteen points in.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
That first half, which kind of got you going.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yokis didn't really have to be especially even though he
had a triple double on he was on. He only
shot thirteen, he only shot thirteen times, he was thrown
for thirteen.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
But I bet you he'll take.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
A win like this knowing that you know, you murry
some confidence, get him rolling, get him going, because going
to LA for game well, game six, game game six
for the Clippers, you're gonna need I mean, I don't
know if you're gonna need forty three, but you're gonna
need something close to it, you know, if you want advance.
So uh, I thought it was a great well round
the game for Denver. The guys who helped out the

(04:25):
porter juniors, the Gordon's.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
You know, those guys were very efficient today.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
They didn't have to shoot a lot, but I thought
Gordon had a great game, but they were very efficient
heat on the shots they were. They were seven for eleven,
five for ten, just just playing hard, playing great defense.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
And seventeen or twenty six five eight. Russ was eight
or fifteen. Uh.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
You mentioned Michael Porter junior. How can I interest you this?
What was he plus thirty four and plus minus? That's crazy,
a plus thirty four and plus min they hole starting
five was in the plus.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
You know, they were hit on all cylinders. Man, they
had it going.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
It wasn't I mean, I know we've seen Murray, you know,
throw us that flirting with forty three points, but the
rest of those guys really chipped in and helped out.
And uh, I mean it was kind of all outside
of the game, honestly. I know the Clippers got back
in into some degree, but for the most point then
Murray said, hell no, y'all can't go. Hell no, y'all
can't go. Oh Joe, the Clippers got great. I mean,

(05:24):
they got ballanced production. They got twenty points from Kawhi,
almost the triple double. He's one rebound short of a
triple double. Zubos gave you twenty seven and five. You
got leven from James Harden, who didn't play particularly well tonight.
Norman Pile gave you twelve. James Harden gave the level,
Norman Pole gave you twelve, Chris Dunn gave you fifteen,
and Buck Danovitch came off the bench and.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Gave you eighteen.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
They had six guys in double figures, but they could
not find someone to output that pilot light out, which
was Jamal Murray. And as Joe mentioned earlier, is that
once he got going, I mean he was hitting fall
away three eight, he was coming down to that last
three that he took, he felt that, hey, hey, when

(06:09):
it's going good man, you got you gotta ride that way.
And he understood the moment. He was like, now forget
all this, I'm gonna let it ride again.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
He he had get your coat, yo, Brial, and get
on out of I gim get your coat, yo, brill
and get on out of I gim get your coat,
your hat and oh, Joe, your clippers.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Uh. They hugged up, but it was just too much.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Jamal Murray Listen, Clippers did all they could, obviously, James
Harden not having the game he needed to have to
to to make it somewhat of a close game.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Listen, the hot hand.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
We know we had the Hodd hand, even though Joker
I call it a small trimple double and didn't kill you.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
He didn't. He didn't do too much. He was thirteen,
twelve and ten.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Obviously, Russell Westbrook obviously contributed coming off the bench.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
But Jamal Murray was, man. Listen, I don't know what
he ate before the game.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I'm not sure what he had, had the dream before
the game, or had the had to or drink on
the side.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
I don't know what it was about.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Jamal to night, he had forty three seventeen twenty six,
and he was crazy. He was eight for fourteen from
the three, and he had the hot end. When he
got the hot end like that, man, nobody else was
able to count that, and they couldn't stop it. Everything
seemed to be fall off him tonight.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, he would do O Joe with the game. Look
he was, but you know what, Joe han't played the game.
You know this, when a guy like Jamal Murray get hot,
you just like, hey, who I show hope. I just
show hope we can get a stop here there, or
we can get to keep the ball out of his hands,
because ain't nobody.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
They put Kawhi, they put James Harden, they put Jones,
they put this one, they put that one. Once the
guy get it going once he turned y'all you not
turning him off that game. Now, maybe the next game
he comes back and he's cold. But in that game,
it don't matter who you.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Had on him.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
He was he had it go on ahead, the pick
and roll working for him. They couldn't stop him. In
the pick and roll, he kind of got whatever he wanted.
And then in the one on one situation, now it's
so situation. He was just breaking the defense down, getting
to his spots, raising up and once you see a
few of them go in, man, you start a feeling
like that. You start shooting off your back legs, you
start shut yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah, it going, yeah, it going.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
It was. It was a great sight to see because
you know what I mean, I'm I'm a Dimmer fan,
and I like to see Jamal get off going, man,
because when he's playing like that, they're a tough team
to beat. Yeah, you're exactly right. And that's what makes
them so tough. Is that the year that championship, he
and Yolk would take turns one game, Yo, Yok was
gonna get Yo. You already know you can see Yok's

(08:39):
gonna give you damn near triple dope every night. But
let's pool, let's please pray we can hold Jamal under
the wraps. Is that in the Lakers game, remember the Lakers,
he hit two buzzle beats, he had two walker so
and YO kids were doing what YO kids were doing.
It's so it didn't matter. And when he's playing like
this and they can get others because you could contribute,
and you home the road, the others you get up.

(09:02):
I thought Christian Brown played really well. Twelve big rebounds.
He did a great job. He rebounded the basketball. He
did a great job of hounding games hard. He played
really well. Michael Porter Junior was due a game like this.
Aaron Gordon's been He's been that utility guy. It's funny
how it happens like this. Joe, you were what zero
point five seconds away from going up three one dunkst

(09:26):
the ball home is two two.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Now you find it yourself.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
I need to win two games in order to advance
as opposed to winning one game, and we hon free.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
But the Nuggets played well. But this was the best
I've seen.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Look, they won they obviously they won three games, but
I thought this was the best game that they played up. Yeah,
I think so too. But this, this, this, this, I
think the series gonna go seven. Okay, old Joe, Yeah,
uh yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Would you say I.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Think it's gonna go seven. It's gonna go seven. I
got the Clippers winning Game six at home and then uh,
you know, Game seven, man, it's anybody's game. But you know, uh,
I think the Clippers don't play a lot better at home.
And I haven't seen that that that big.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
They don't need James. I've seen that big game from
Norman Power.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Or I'm expecting Norman Power to really give them something,
maybe even win them a game, you know here or there.
So uh, I'm expecting for him to explode as well.
But yeah, James didn't really have it in the teenth
to night seem like I don't know, and I don't
know if it's uh, you know, because the series has
kind of you know, carried on and it's kind of
one down throughout the series.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
But you know they're gonna need.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
They definitely gonna need his contributions that they want advance,
you know out this series.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Hey, you think and uh, they definitely need and Joe,
you think this was Jamal Murray's best playoff playoff performance
sins the Bubble.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Oh No, I think so. You don't think so.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
From a point standpoint, it might have been. It might
have been his most points. But you go back to
look at some of those Laker games, I mean, yeah,
they I mean you go back, can look at it
with the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, the Lakers game.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, he had some great games against the Lakers, but
as a recent the past few playoffs years, he ain't
had no performances like this.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
They needed this, No, I.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Mean we we've seen him, I mean towards the Lakers
and the game when he shot.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I mean it's it's it's a rarity.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
It's you might go on, you might go your whole
career and not have a game winning shot in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
He had two in one series. Yeah, how you how
you get how you get two in one series?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
And he did that. He's more than capable of catching fire.
He's like he has that Steph Curry, he has that
that Dame guy, the guard that can catch fire. And
the next thing you know, they got twenty points in
the quarter and you look up at it in a
game like damn, he hit us like that, And it's
not a whole lot of layups like a big getting
forty three, because some of them gonna be layoups. Jamal Burry, shoot, hey,

(11:56):
a lot of those. I mean, he had that couple
of flood of one flood gotta lay up, but both
three and three, he's eight for fourteen, so that three
is come on now, just the playoffs. It's the highest
level of basketball, you know what I mean. It's on
a night that Denver really needed it too, So uh man,

(12:16):
kudos to Jamal and Murray for coming out and giving
us a great performance tonight.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
That was awesome.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Also, I mean, listen, the Clippers bench, the Clippers is
gonna have to play better, you know, James Harden is
gonna have to play a little bit.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
They're gonna have to get more than more than eleven.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Kawhi did what he's supposed to do, but they kind
of wasted Zubar capital performance like he did tonight.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
And I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
I'm not sure what adjustments Tyler you can make. Both
of you said the game, I mean the series can
go seven. I'm not sure what adjustments Tyler needs to make.
Maybe home court advantage would make it, make make games,
make the next game.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
A little bit more interesting. But they're gonna have to
do something get it.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
And if you think about it, you look at this
Jamal Murray shot one three throw, y'all, what three throw?

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Got forty threes? What three throw? Crazy? And so people
look at that man. He wasn't Oh, he was extremely aggressive.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
He just didn't need to get all the way to
the basket and try to get a hand one to
try to get anything because he had the three ball falling.
So now you hug up on him. He got handles.
He can put the ball on the floor, dance with
it behind his back, between his legs. He's a start,
stop and pull up, so he has he has that cupability.
I am not surprised that Jamal Murray went off. You
saw those first couple go in and now he's just

(13:31):
coming down court and he ain't looking to get all
the way to the basket.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
He stopping behind the line, Joey and letting it go.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
He was doing he was doing whatever he wanted to
get into a spot mid range. Look, I'm trying, I'm
trying to think defensive, what can you do? What adjustment?
But what adjustment can Tyler make you? I'm not sure
you're gonna do much because you don't.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
You don't want to double that and make him have
to give it up to Yokis because you know what
y're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Y're gonna make the right way. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
He gonna score it and he gonna get him a dime,
So you kind of it's almost like they kind of
got to live with, you know, Jamal going up and
hope he made the rest of the guys around.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Him right right.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
But the thing is is that you and then you
come and he shoots the ball and missing. Now you're
out of position, and you get guys getting put backs,
you guys getting offensive rebound. They given given the other gain,
you're another opportunity to put the ball in the basket.
Zuboss played extreamely well. I believe Zuboshi went most improved.
Yeah over k cut Bro. You the number one pick

(14:34):
in the draft.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
You shot.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
You should first of all, if you are a number
one pick in the draft, if you are top you
a lot of it pick, you should be an eligent
for that rule. What you mean you most improving you
the number you the number one pick in the draft, Joe,
they had they just want sixteen games. Last ship man,
them folk want sixteen game. They in a battle right now. Yeah,
they I understand, I understand they brought some venture help,

(14:59):
but that's just mouth bold.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
I'm going Cad No, I'm going to Zubax. That man
gave you six.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
He increased his points by two or three a game,
rebounds by two or three of games. Uh, he's been
I mean fifty nine double day. Taking it away from Zubax.
I think he had a hell of a year. I
think he's playing from hell of a basketball right now
as we speak. But uh, I think what the Pistons
are doing is pretty special, you know, considering the cage
is kind of leading away with that. But I'm you know, yeah, yeah,

(15:30):
but that game six is Thursday night. The Pacers beat
the Bucks one nineteen to one. Of eighteen. There was
only seventh were.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
The only second seven point plus comeback during the final
minute and postseason game and the play by play era.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
They started that nineteen ninety seven ninety eight.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Halliburton with the game winning layup, but unfortunately the Pacer
win was overshadowed by Halliburton's dad coming on the court
and getting in the face of Giannis, causing a verbal alter.
Yanni spoke about it after the game, losing the game,
emotions run high. Having a fan, which at the moment
I thought it was a fan, but then I realized
that's Tyree's dad. I'm happy for him, I'm happy for

(16:12):
his son. That's how you're supposed to feel. But coming
to me in disrespect to me and cursing at me,
I think it's totally unacceptable, totally unacceptable. His dad coming
on the floor and showing me a son towel with
it on his face, saying this is what we do.
We do this. I feel like that was very, very disrespectful.
I believe in being humble in victory. That's the way

(16:34):
I am. Halliburton said all the right things, though, he said,
as far as the incident between Jannis and my pops,
I had no idea until it happened and I got
in the back. I talked to my pops after, and
I don't agree with what transpired there from him. He
needs to just allow me to play basketball. I'll talk
to Yiannis about it. I don't think my pops was right.
I think Hally handled it right. Look, Joe, I could

(16:57):
just imagine how my dad would have felt. Oh Joe,
and he could have saw you know, your dad see
you play. My dad could have seen me play because
that's his son, I miss. I'm a baby boy, and
to see me out there on the field and I'm
scoring a touchdown. I can imagine the pride that a
father feels when his son played hits a home run
or his son wears does something. So I can imagine.
But to come all the way on the court and

(17:20):
I get, look, you talking to a guy that got
into it all the games, you with the gainslist. But
I was up. My ass was on the sideline. I'm
not excusing it, So Chad, I'm not excusing my behavior.
So I'm just saying I think, look, if he wants
to wave the time he's on the sideline, fired, so
be it. But when you come on into that playing area,
it's like when you run on the football field. You

(17:41):
back in the day they used to run the football
field players tap. But so what Will Will addressed the
game in a minute the situation that arose, Joe, how
do you do you like the way Gianni's handling?

Speaker 2 (17:55):
And do you like the what Halle had to say
after wh I.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Thought Janni's handled a pretty professional. You know, he kept
his composure. You know, he controlled his emotions throughout that
throughout that you know that time, because you know, I can,
I can imagine how he was feeling in they just
squandered away a seven point lead and forty seconds and
then this happened. It's a ya, I'm like, forty seconds, bro,
you lose a seven point lead. So I know he

(18:20):
was teed off about it, But yeah, I think hallen
Burke's father was was definitely in the wrong man, definitely.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
In the wrong here here, here, here, shit.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Oh Joe, Yeah yeah, Pops, Pops cross the line a
little bit. But I listen, I can understand Pop's excitement.
Obviously he shouldn't have been on the court. If anything,
anything you do, it shouldn't have been done on the sideline.
I kind of understand it. But as a father, you know, myself,
as a father of eighty five. I can see myself
almost in that situation, damn near, you know.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
But as a dad, you gotta you gotta.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Contain yourself, keep somewhat of a sportsmanlike in professionalism to yourself,
knowing and understanding that. Obviously, Jannis is that in that situation.
He's upset and you never know how he could have reacted.
But Janni's handled it very well. Halliburton handled what he
had to say after the game very well, and I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Jis halliburton handler. Yeah, I'm sure.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Jannis and Halliburton have probably had a conversation about it.
And I don't really think it's it's a big deal.
It is because Pop came to the court. It's not
that big of a deal.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Well, you know they are, John Haler, you know they are.
You know.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah, I was let me, let me, let me, let
me read what he said, uh, and then I'll let
you get into your thoughts. So this is what John Halliburton,
who is the Tyreesee Halliburton's father. I sincerely apologize to Jannis,
the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Paper Pacers organization for my
actions following tonight's game. This is not a good reflection

(19:51):
of our sport or my son, and I will not
make that mistake again.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Back in the ages or ninety I don't know if
one new player would have let that slide.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Them all dark they the Ao Joe, They just wop
because I'm not so shooting. Because y'alla said he thought
it was a fan at first, and then he realized
that it.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Was y'all, that it was ty Reese's dad.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Man, look back in those days, man, look you getting
the guy faced like them guy be doing that and
wanted to doing all this.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Man, them guys didn't play like that.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Man, they like I tell y'all, hey, they they putting
the gun fingers in your face and everything.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
It's so disrespectful.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Oh you're talking about in the NBA, in the regular league,
no matter where you're playing that man, they disrespectful.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
It's yeah, they they maybe yo, they'll be on one.
Like you said, I think sometimes when emotion that's high,
logic is low. And I can understand he's extremely excited,
uh about his dad, about his son.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
They won that series.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Uh, you know, once Dame didn't play the first game
and then Dame goes down with that injury, then the
Milwaukee's not with it. Now, maybe they should have won
that game, and let's let's give them that. Let's get
see that. Let's just say for the sake of argument,
they should have won that game. They're not winning this series,
not with Jannis by himself. And it took think about it,
the game that they won. The first game, Jared Trent
Junior had thirty seven. He had thirty three tonight. So

(21:15):
it's taken or hurt it. It's taking Jared Trent Jr.
To have a lot of body experience in order for
them to be close. Now, if he doesn't play like
that in game six, he doesn't play like Giannis is
not enough. Johnny's had thirty twenty and thirteen. Johnnys can't
play any better than what he's playing. So hey, they
just goo Collecgibly. They need other guys to step up. Yeah,

(21:37):
maybe Trent ain't gonna give you thirty three or thirty
seven every night, but he'll come down about fifteen sixteen.
You get these other cats to step up, Uh, Kevin Port,
get Porter Junior to step up, you know what I mean?
They got guys who are capable obviously, Uh Bobby Porter's
you know, he find he's still trying to find rhythm,
find rhythm in tune it because he's been out for

(21:59):
quite some time. But he only steps up and give him,
give him great minutes in the absence, especially of stars
like Dame and Jannis when they're not in the game.
So uh, I think they tried to switch it up
though they started Bobby at the five, you.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Know Brown brook Off, Yes, try to.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
They should have just probably more active, more defensive minded.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Bobby can score a little better than brook. He could
play with his back to the baskets. He could do it.
He could score a lot of different ways. Brook ain't
doing Brook ain't doing.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
No.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
I ain't never seen the man. I ain't never seen
the man.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Sam put Sam Sam twelve and all you want to
do is stand behind the three point. I be a procesious,
but I'm like, bro how you set that tall and
you've never had a double digit rebounds in a season.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
That's that's that's That's not good, Joe, That's not good.
It's not good. Uh.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
I had I had a chance to play with Brookes.
He was an awesome player. He wasn't shooting threes when
I was playing with him in Brooklyn. He was just
a download down, you know, back to the basket guy.
But uh dang, I know, I know, Uh the Bucks
hate this. You know, I thought they they did whatever
they could. They had a chance to win the game.
They help seven, but forty seconds you can't lose that,

(23:16):
you know what I mean. Don't go back home, play
in front of your crowd. Force a game seven, man,
anything can happen in game seven.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
And man, listen, it's better to put him out their misery.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Now, let's better put them out the music and now
listen to pacers and paces play where obviously Holly Burton
did what he needed to do, but it was a
supporting cast in the end that really stepped out. Myles
Turner had twenty one twenty one nine rebounds, Aaron Nate
Smith had nineteen.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
God damn TV McConnell had eighteen.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
There was no way their team back, even even though
remember we talked about that the other night, They're gonna
have somewhere between five and they guys and double figures.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Dabn with they win. Go look at the box scoring
and see how many guys figures ahead. Everybody, everybody putting
their hat in the pot to make sure. Now I
don't I have.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Well, obviously I know because I saw, but hell squandering
the god damn age seven point le with forty seconds
on the clock. Boy, that's that's on you.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
That's on you.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
That ain't supposed to That's not supposed to happen at
this level, Not at this.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Tyre's Tyre's Halliburton had a tweet overrate. That you know,
Tyre's Halliburton. He was the runaway winner most Overrated player
in the NBA. The players voted Tyrese Halliburton. He came
back overrated. That bullets, bulletin board material ain't anything you
gotta do the kidship that's gonna help you compete at

(24:37):
your highest level.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Yeah right, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Like Bret, I mean, Hana' is like, man, Look, I
was on I was on an Olympic team.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
I've been an All Star, I've led the league and assists.
Bro what what what yo? Look?

Speaker 1 (24:51):
He ain't magic, He ain't gonna ever be magic. He's
not gonna be Steph Curry. But damn, just because can
we get because people now Joe, people feel like, well,
he ain't no magic, he ain't no Lebron, he ain't.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
No who it's only a few, bro, it's only a few.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Hold on, who the who the place is gonna have
to face facing in the next series.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
What's that? What's what? What's that looking like? What you think?
Hold on? Hold on?

Speaker 1 (25:21):
The team is just knocked off for the Heat who
ain't put up no fight?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
The boy, they ain't fight fifty five? Time out, buy
my Heat, time out, time out. That that's not what happened.
That's not what happened.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Now, this is something that the story hasn't it hasn't
come out yet. But what happened was the pregame meal
that the Heat players ate. Everyone had a stomach virus.
Everyone had a stomach virus. That's why they played the
way they played. And it looks like they almost gave us,
but they didn't. Everybody was sick and they, you know,
the whole team can't sit out, so they.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Yeah, yeah, listen, when you died about one point sixty points,
when you died by when you died at one point
in the game by sixty, you lose by fifty five.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
I told I told you what happened.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Everybody had a stomach virus and they were forced to
play with like everybody was playing a flue game. They
just not Jeordan, come on, you gotta stop it. I'm
telling you that's what. That's why you think they lost
bout fifty five.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Man, I can't believe.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
I couldn't believe that, man, No sixty not No sixty
one in no Miami, or you couldn't see that.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Hey, yeah, everybody's because here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Think about think about how Tyler Hero he had been
one shot. So what let me ask you this, Joe, Okay,
if Tyler Hero doesn't go eight crazy, if Bam doesn't
give you damn near a triple double where he gives
you nineteen eleven and nine, where you're gonna get your
points from with him, your two best players, they got
to step up.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
They gotta give you some put up a fight.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
We got to at least be in the games sixty one.
Oh hey, at some point Julius Seeds put up a
fight and then he sawd me I been at at
some point time did get the waitlan On, you're just right.
You just give them say, but you gotta get Cleveland credit.
Though they they came, they didn't play your game. Donad
it came out you know what they look in his

(27:19):
eyes like, okay, with the first five minutes, we ain't
gonna play no game with the boy. Man.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
It'sco for forty one fourteen. At one point, I'm watching
the game.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
And listen, Yeah, it's like it's like it's like lions
is like lions out there. Man in the in the
Sahara and the god damn hyena engined. Man, that's that
was my heat.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
That was heat. Listen. It wasn't never to do.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
But I will tell you this. I'm gonna tell you
what little Birdie told me. I told we're gonna have
We're gonna have some gangsters coming to Miami next year.
I told you about to sit down and have with
pat Riley, Mickey Rison. You know it's Foster things. Things
are gonna change. I'm telling you about the meeting I had.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Them. God gods, listen, this is a new use. Told me.
It's a new era of player. You can't deal with
them like they used to do with us.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
Pat Riley needs to understand taking cookies and running everything
with an iron fish. You think Yanni is about to go,
think about what y'anna just came. Let's just say, for
the sake of argument, Joe Yohanna's want to leave. Do
you understand they've given Yannis Everything's up to god. Dang
on Harley Davidson dealer, the Harley Davison that's in Milwaukee.
They've given him everything. Hey, Boonholzer, Jason Kidd was going,

(28:35):
Boonholdser going Andrew Griffin.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Don't have both players they get Yeah, they got it.
They got his brother. Hey, let me tell you, let
me come, let me tell you. Let me tell you
what we got.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
The off Janni's something that they don't have in Milwaukee.
They don't have it in Milwaukee. We got We're gonna
offer Janni's Cadillac dealership. We're gonna offer Janni's toutsies. They
don't have toussies in Walkee.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
They don't have that. We got South we got we
got we got South Beach. They don't have that. Huh.
We got Carbone, we got Club Live, we.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Got Poppy Steak. Now, listen, I talked. I talked to
John Moran last night. I'm not even I'm not even
supposed to be saying this, And I told John, listen,
I'm gonna do whatever I can on my end to
make sure you get to Miami now I don't know
what assets we have as heat as a heat culture
to give up, you know, to to make the trade postive.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
But I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
I'm gonna do what I can on my end to
make sure you get here, and I'm gonna make sure
you're good.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
So now now I'm telling you again. Tell you, I'm
telling you again.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
And Joe Brother Iso, when you see Janni's and you
see Jamaran and the Heat Jersey next year, don't be
like ol O Chow.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I ain't believe in you, but you was right. I
don't want to hear nothing that golden for the chat too.
Don't be talling, old boy. You be knowing stuff, all right.
I tell you.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
All I'm saying is this that pat Roley, pat Riley
make make make assertions and then when he gets you there,
he switched up on you. And uh uh uh uh
there's a reason why think about it. Two of his
best think about it. D Wade ended up leaving Lebron
James left, Jimmy Butler left where you know what three
times a charm? I mean, come out shack left three

(30:18):
times three times a charm. Pat Riley under Shaq left,
de Wade left Lebron left, Jimmy Butler l Now for
your best far your best players in the history of
that organization have left. And the one thing, the one constant,
it's Pat Ye and here it's a different age.

Speaker 3 (30:38):
I know, Joe, you cannot talk to these players. But
I'm telling you what Pat told me. He's going He's
willing to change his ways because he had a better
understanding that.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
That man. Y.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I'm telling you he
gonna evolve. I'm telling you I had the conversation with him.
Let mess your question. Your grandma a port my grandma.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Oh yeah, well grandma and everything she got older, and
the doctor say and the doctor saint miss Johnson just ain't.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Good for you. I mean, he poke all my life.
I will leave him somewhere. Yeah, that's how. That's how.
That's what that's that's exactly. Yeah, that's how.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
But listen, if Patt is serious about winning, if he's
serious about winning and changing the culture and which used
to be a winning culture, which made fans excited and
wanted us to come to the game, he's going to
have to do right. He's gonna have to change his
ways and and and and allow South Beach and the
Miami Heat to be yet an attraction where people want
to come to. There's no reason why NBA players, when

(31:36):
their time is up, or if they're or there, or
if they're to be traded, who doesn't want to come
to South Beach?

Speaker 2 (31:43):
And you can't be the reason they don't want to come.
And so he understands he has to change his ways
and the way he conducts himself. Hey, I'm not necessarily
I don't necessarily think it's like the culture. I think.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
I ain't gonna lie. The culture was pretty, it was
all right. I mean, is it strict to some degree? Yeah,
But you gotta have talent. You gotta have some talent,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (32:04):
The Patriot weight, how's the Patriot Wave without Tom Brady?

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Oh yo.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
The culture can be you know, tight strength, whatever the
case may be.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
But if you ain't got no talent to go out
there and to you know, put on display, it's hard
to good in this league.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Man, you're right, you're right, you're right. So you're right.
Look at look at it. Look at that standard as
the standard.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
When they ain't got no quarterback in Pittsburgh, they ain't
got no Roethlisberger.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
The standard is a standard.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I guess you got to lowder that standard some until
you got some better get some better players, and then
they elevated that.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
That's all to come down to. It come to talent exactly. People.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
People try to make it. Oh, it's a it's a culture.
It's the way they do things. No, it's the way
that guy does it's the way of Tom Brady, it's
a way of Ben Roethlisberger do things. And if you
don't have those type players, you can have culture, culture
all you want to. Yeah, yeah, it don't work like that.
But Pat, you're right, Past will have to change some

(32:59):
of his way. The Pistons go to New York and
beat the Knicks. Kve cunning Down twenty four points, eight rebounds,
eight a six of Sre Thompson twenty two points on
eight to ten field goals, seven rebounds, two blocks to
Bias Harris seventeen eight four blocks, Jalen Durwin nine points,
fourteen rebounds, sixty six two blocks.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
The game is really really close.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
The Pistons have scored four hundred and twenty one points
the Knicks for twenty nine rebounds, one eighty Pistons are
dominating this category, one eighty two to one forty eight
plus thirty four three points made, three pointers made forty
four for the Pistons, forty seven for the Knicks turnovers.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Had it not been for turnover, Detroit might have not
won this series.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Little Joe seventy turnovers to forty six points in the
paid one seventy six to one eighty in favor of
the Knicks.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
But the games have.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Been very, very close. And who knows, had they called
that file Saturday, we might be having a different to day.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Yea, we might be even with.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
Them squadding away to twenty one point league with letting
the Knicks go on their twenty one uh their twenty
one old none run. But I think this has been
an even See. These are two teams who are pretty
even to me if you ask me. But Detroit is
just so gritty. The biggest discrepancy of what I see
is in the free throws. Uh Detruit Detrust shot sixteen

(34:23):
for twenty seven night. I mean, the Knicks shot sixteen
for twenty seven fifty nine percent and Detroit was twenty
six for thirty six. From the line. The Knicks miss eleven,
both of just miss eleven free throws, shooting fifty nine
percent from the line. You lose about one, You're like, damn, yeah,
they out there competing, man. I think I think Detroit

(34:44):
has kind of wore the Knicks down a little bit.
If you just want me to be honest, like, this
is a bruising series. I mean, you look at Brunston.
I ain't think he was gonna come back for the
game in Detroit, but he did and they end up winning,
and I think it's just kind of, you know, it's
games go on, you know, I think he kind of
wears them down.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
That's why I say early in the series, you.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
Want to pick him up full court, bumping, grind all
that by the time we get the game six, five, seven,
he's gonna be broke down a little bit. Yeah, t
if the warm down due the regular season, playing at
forty three the regular season, that's what don't stop because
in the playoffs he continues. It's not like it stops
in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
You know what I'm saying. He only got a rotation
to seven, eight guys, and you ain't got really that's
in the regular season. He might cutting that down to
six in the most season. You know, all, they guys
were pretty average today.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
They didn't have nobody who kind of you know, stepped
up and separated themselves to you know, baby Pool is
win off. Yeah, but uh this so I think this
one going seven, man, and I got Detroit pulling out
at seven.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa? You got Detroit. I got
Detroit winning this one.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
Joe Man, you know that the Knicks is not gonna
lose this listen. I know they they swawned tonight. This
and the Knicks had what thirteen turnovers? They missed eleven
eleven free throws nigga Jaylen brust in the car into
the town. They were nine to nine for third, you know,
shooting Knight. Brunton only scoring sixteen. I think what Towns
has seventeen? I think it was more so the turnovers,
even though they barely lost. I don't think Jamie Brunton

(36:11):
has another game like this. You never have another game
like this. This was a down game for him, you know,
scoring scoring seventeen to sixteen to Night. But I don't
don't I don't see I don't see them losing this game.
I mean, excuse me losing this series? You know it
was just a bad night to night. It was a
bad night they time.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
Man, they look go down to me.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
I'm gonna be honest with you and to play another
gut to go back to Detroit now and played playing
Detroit travel. I think they I think Detroit doing what
they want as far as wearing them down, you know,
making this a long series, it's gonna be in Detroit's favor.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Yeah, if you look at the bench, Shrewd is coming
in giving them great minutes. Eliite Bey Beasley is giving
them tremendous biness. They had twenty six bitch points. They
outscored them on the bench sick nineteen. So they outscored
they outscored him twenty six to nineteen on the bench.
And you see the difference in the ball game. But

(37:07):
I think with Shrewder comes in, he does a great job.
He gets Kay Cunningham off the ball. He's making timely shots,
he's destribing the ball. Malie Beasley's coming in making some
timely threes. I love Ansu Thompson. I love the way
he play. He's arrested, he could pay, and he's a
two way player. He can pick you up full court. Hey,
he can put the ball on the floor, get to
the rim, he's rebounded at this stage.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
JB.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Bickerstaff has done an unbelievable job with this team, and
you can see why he was in the running for
Coach of the Year. I get Kenny Atkinson one. I
got no problem with that. They were the best team
in the East record wise from start to finish.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
But what JB. Bickerstaff has done with this team.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
And to get them into the sixth seed and get
them in a situation where they could possibly get out
of the first round, he's done a heck of a
job and he should be commended because these young guys,
now they get one more piece. I still believe they're
a piece away from truly truly contending. But they got
some young guys. What they got forty five rebounds, They

(38:07):
got out rebounded a little bit because but you know,
you've got a seventh butt cat, you got a six
eleven seven foot Mitchell Robinson and they just got to
one big.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
But give those guys credit.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
I thought they were gritted and even though when the
Knicks went on that run and passed them up, that's
a young team on the road and they kept it together.
They kept their poys and they ended up coming back
going their own run, take the lead, lead and never
look back. They were special, man, they were special. You're
gonna have to give you know, you're gonna have to
look out for Detroit. Give them credit. I don't think

(38:36):
k didn played a great game. He was six or
seventeen from the field, but for the most part, you know,
he controlled the game. My love is aggression. Yes, got
twelve three throws, made eleven of them, so it lets
me know, you know, he ain't just selling for jumps.
He'll getting to the cup. But yeah, like you said,
the Thompson kid eight for ten, you know, him getting

(38:58):
to the line. He was six for twelve from the line.
But he's being aggressive as well. So you know, Detroit
has enough to advance out this series. They just got
to be poison patient, you know, especially down the stretch
in closing these games.

Speaker 3 (39:11):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, law because
this is this is the second time I heard Joe
say this, and not only you saying that Detroit are
gonna close this series out in seven, but you're saying
it but confidence, Like, how much do you really believe
in the Pistons I'm just curious.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
I believe. I believe in them a lot.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
Oh, Joe, they're young, they ready for the moment, they
understand the moment. I mean, they didn't win in the uh,
they didn't win in the garden and won two games.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (39:39):
I mean we talked, we talked about we talk about
big Body Brunton, right, Karl Anthony Town Josh Hart.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Yeah, yeah, you show you show about that.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Yeah, them boy, them boys knife, they played hard. I
like it, but I think they woken down. I'm gonna
be honest with you, man, Okay.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Well, I'm saying you you you're willing to put some
money on that or what you're trying to do.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Man, I know you still old man. I don't even
know if he probably. I'm sorry to bring up somebody
get in somebody else's pocket, but it's hard for me.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
To bet with your brother.

Speaker 3 (40:06):
I'm sorry, I don't walk all right, Let's say, let's
let's bet fifty two hundred best fifty two hundred O me?

Speaker 2 (40:15):
Yeah right.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Now?

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Hey, hey, hey, Joe, he's trying to move trying to
move it. Then on you. Yeah, Hey, no, I ain't
going on Joe.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
You try somebody else, Bro, hey, hey, hey, oh Joe,
I'm gonna have something funny though. Uh, they got this
pickleball tournement, man, and uh, I need to but I
know you ain't gonna do nothing with them hips. You
ain't gonna move around with. But I got bad hips
and bone on bone in my left. Joe got one

(40:52):
hundred grand to the winning team. Oh Joe, Oh, well
the place they gonna beat the hell with?

Speaker 2 (40:57):
You're gonna play with fee? Hey, Joe, what they're gonna
be the hell y'all?

Speaker 3 (41:03):
You hold on, hey, Joe, boy, you've seen me play tennis, right, boy, Listen,
I played, but listen, I'm telling you.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
I listen.

Speaker 3 (41:12):
I lie for you before I lie to you. Now
I can play some tennis. And the clips you can
see the clips on the uncle for people in the
check and bous for me. I played tennis growing up.
I'm very good at tennis. So switching the pickleball, Hey,
I'm gonna be all over the court.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Bright. I'm telling you, Joe, you just asked that. Man.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
You say, hey, o Joe, come down here and play
this this pickle ball. I thought I thought it was
I thought it was solo. O. Jo say, hey, hold
on what's the date?

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Let me let me know. I'm gonna be ready. Hello, ojo.
It's in the Hamptons though, Ojo, what's that?

Speaker 1 (41:45):
It's in the Hampton sag hard up state, say, who,
don't worry about hold on.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
I'm learning about history. I'm learning about my history. Where
the hamp is at it's upstate New York. Oh, that's
right there. How far? How far that from the Bronx
like queens? How fart of it? You got a helicopter.
I ain't getting on the helicopter there. Oh you could,
or you could drive.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
Probably I'm assuming it's probably a couple of couple maybe
hour hour have yeah, oh okay.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
I mean, hey, but your ladder movement like that?

Speaker 1 (42:19):
You like that? Boy?

Speaker 2 (42:20):
You ain't there? Boy, you better go.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
You better YouTube me. Boy, def don't play Hey, listen, listen.
I play tennis on the big court. My letter movement
is phenomenal. It's like I'm still twenty two years old, right,
But then you think about pickleball. The court is so small,
so it takes me to get from one end to
the other if I'm playing solo in like three steps. Yeah, yeah,
so my my short my short area quickness is still there,

(42:43):
nothing that has really changed. I'm still I still got
I'm still real twitchy, so I'm excited.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Just let me know the date so I can block
those off. I'm ready, I got you. Yeah yeah wait
wait how how much?

Speaker 1 (42:54):
How much?

Speaker 2 (42:55):
How much we win? One hundred thousand? Yes, there's uh,
it's ninety minutes. It's so not eve. Many drive, Oh
that that ain't bad. The Hampton a lot, but most
people most people. Both people take me that sound that
sounds like it costs too much. I drive. I can
get a ren a car for sixty dollars.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
I promise you, if you got a house in the
hampt you're not worried about no cost of the Helihoga.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
You probably hold the Hampter is like for the risk folk.
Huh yeah yeah, Joe, you got you got a house
in the Heabness.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
Nah.

Speaker 2 (43:24):
I got some people over there. I know some people
know some people. You know what I'm saying, Like we're
good okay, okay, okay, like rich like rich people. Huh
I know some people. Oo okay, you know you we
don't have plenty of room. We got some room now,
you know y'all can come down and have Yeah, I
mean when it? When it? Hey, if in June? When

(43:45):
is it? I'm gonna get y'all the dates. I'm gonna
send yall to date. So I'm gonna asking.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Yeah, hey, I need, I need, I need a place
I could let my hair die, I could relax it laughing.
Oh Joe, when you go out there at the ball,
he know, now you know, I know the place, Joe,
Ping Pong, Ping pong. I'm the Liberty City Ping Pong
champ and over town too. I'm think I'm hem, I'm
I'm they called me. Oh Joe, who you think they

(44:13):
call to train the Asian to play table tennis?

Speaker 3 (44:16):
Oh Joe, Oh, you can't play no table tennis.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
You can't even see you wear glasses.

Speaker 3 (44:26):
Hey, hey, chat chat, do me favorite chat? Y'all send
Joe on Twitter and instagrams. Send him some clips to
me playing tennis so he understand.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Is how good? I am? All right? Okay? Yeah yeah,
pickle ball you anglish? But I like Joe. I agree
with you. I think there's gonna be a seven game series.
I do think.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
I think the Pistol is gonna tie this thing up
three three, and they're gonna come back. Now, this is
not gonna be a good look for the for the
Knicks that they lose the series, because remember they had
to lead on on the last year, they had to
lead on the Pacers, and the Pacers win Game six
and then they go in the Knicks and go into
Game seven and they blow them out on their home court.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
All know, tips lose this with me, might.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
Be you might be in trouble being at sea, but yeah,
that's that's just my good feeling. I like, how to
piss us playing. Look, every game you ain't gonna win.
Every game is not gonna be pretty. You gotta win
some ugly games, you know what I got it? And uh,
I think tonight was one of those ugly games that
they ended up pulling out. And that ain't nothing, but
you know, more experience for their young team over there,

(45:30):
especially on the road. It's one thing to win a
closed game at home, but you go on the road
into a hostile environment. We know understand what Madison Square MSG.
We understand what that is, and that's a gritty team,
the Knicks, and to go in there and get a
hard part victory. Pistol's got a lot of competence. The

(45:53):
Celtics flows out the Magic Game five, Jason Tatum was
sensational thirty five points, eight rebounds, two assists. Celtics are
seventy one all time in the playoffs when they record.
When he records to an assists Jason tATu's last three game,
he went thirty five, eight and ten, thirty seven, fourteen
and three, thirty six, nine and four. He's playing like that,

(46:15):
and then you got Jaylen Brown gave you twenty three
or six. It's gonna be stopping.

Speaker 3 (46:22):
Hey, you know, uh, and Joe, It's it's almost unfair, man, Yeah,
it's oh yeah, it's almost unfair.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Just watching him.

Speaker 3 (46:31):
I think about fair play when it comes to salary
cap and and it's like, how do you have all
these players? Not only do you have all these players
that are good, not not just the starting five, the
goddamn bench.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Yeah, comes in and got Peyton Prescher, Sam House and they.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
Don't miss a beat. Obviously, the game of basketball is
a game of runs. But you don't feel bad about
subven or having people coming in and out the game
because you understand what you're getting.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Once your starters go out, it's sun fair.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
And I hate to jump the gun, but I'm sure
it's fear for me to be able to say, and
I'm sure the chat would agree with me that the
Celsius are probably end up win the NBA Championship again.
And if they keep, if they keep, if they keep
the same squad together, there's a chance they win that
month forucker getting next year too.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
It's possible. It's possible. The guys coming off the bench, man,
they barely misshot tonight. I mean, they weren't playing with Orlando.
They was ready close, man, Orlando had the lead, and
next thing I know, they're down by I'm like, what
is happening? Got you know, Hey, I couldn't get the game,
so I'm watching. I'm watching it on my phone. Hey,

(47:40):
you know the thing is it don't go so you
know I forgot. Did I hit the little back arrow
on Joe that day?

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (47:48):
Orlando need a uh they need a point guard over
there with Ben Carro and Wagner involved, Yeah, they need
to over there, Jleb Suggs and Dorming the point guard.
I don't know why they didn't play cold. I don't know,
Cole Anthony. It might have been hurt hurt, but you
gotta make.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Some decent minutes he gave him some decent minutes.

Speaker 1 (48:08):
Uh not enough though, But I'm saying that he didn't
play a whole lot in the series. He played this
It seemed like he played this game out of desperation.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
It's like, y, let's let's throw all we got because
he ain't been playing on the red because I watched him, Like, well, Dad,
where Sugs? I know, excuse me, Cole Anthony Suggs is
not currently Uh. Jaylen Brown had twenty three points six rebounds.
Boston has won sixteen straight playoff games when he scored
twenty or more point. Crazy, man, they got a two

(48:38):
headed monster because think about it. No, you got J
T and JB. You got Derrick White that can give
you get solid twenty. You got Prezingers that can give
you twenty. You got Holiday that's gonna play on both
days of the court and can give you somewhere twelve sixteen. Uh,
you got Al Horford. Big Al ain't.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
I'll tell you, hey, he gonna play outstanding defense. He's
gonna rebound for some shots can give you.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
You know, if you double digits, then you get Peyton
Princhy coming off the bench. You get cole Houser coming
off the bench. They got a cordinet. They got a
bunch of guys chipping in, man a bunch of guys
chipping in. That's that championship pedigree.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
They know. They rose, They played to the t they.

Speaker 1 (49:14):
Started their most. It's gonna be tough to beat them
in a seven game series. O'kare who you are?

Speaker 2 (49:21):
Yeah, dang?

Speaker 1 (49:22):
JJ Reddick said fatigue wasn't a factor that the Lakers
lost Sunday night. Reddick became the first coach to use
the same five for an entire half of them game
since at least nineteen ninety eight, as far back as
substitution tracking goals. JJ said, today, our two best players
missed left at the rim. And I don't think they
miss left because they were tired. I spoke to everyone

(49:42):
yesterday they would have potentially played the second half, uh
and they all understood there was no issue with that.
LA has been outscored one oh five to sixty nine
in the fourth quarter of this series.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
They're shooting twenty five or seventy eight of thirty two.
That's what t yes.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
The famous phrase when you play sports, fatigue makes it
makes a fool of us all that that that that
too easy layups, easy lay up, easy lay up layups.
That's fatigue, fatigue, lack of concentration, lack of focus, or
one of the easiest shots to make.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
That's fatigue. Yeah, come on, man, come on, come on, JJ,
come on now you're asking Lebron. Look, I don't care
what Lebron says. I don't care what he says. He's playing.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
He played forty six minutes on forty year old legs.
There's a reason why he only took two shots. He
had zero points in the fourth quarter. He was exhausted
in its physical Luca played for yes, because you got
to bank Julius Randall.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
You got to chase somebody. It's not like you just
standing out there like you. You see a man out
there taking the challenge. They have a whole shoving match
out there. That takes energy.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
Bro to do that, you know, he Yeah, just walk
down to the block, catch it on your spot and
get comfortable.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
He fighting.

Speaker 1 (51:04):
And then if you fight me down to this spot,
by the time you get the ball, you're gonna be
a little exhausted.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
And that's the whole plan. Just wrestling ram down.

Speaker 1 (51:13):
Man, you can't play no whole half for no NBA basketball,
playoff basketball, and don't think with that intensity, with the
focus that's required to stretch. Yes, that that I'll say
that definitely was fatigue for me. I mean, I just
seen careless mistakes. Sure you know, careless mistakes.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
And what was they? What was he supposed to say?

Speaker 1 (51:34):
Of course you're not gonna say fatigue because you allow
those guys to play that many minutes, so that would
make you look bad. Of course you're not gonna say
fatigue was the part of it, because it was your decision.
I disagree. I think most people would disagree with you
that fatigue was an issue. There's a if if fatigue
wasn't an issue, team would be playing the guys forty
for twenty four minutes in the second half a time.

Speaker 2 (51:55):
Nobody does that. Nobody does that reason stuff.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
But listen, but listen, hey, uncle Joe, Nobody does that
for a reason. But in the Lakers situation, they don't
have a choice but to do it. They even have
the have a chance to be able to compete.

Speaker 1 (52:10):
They got six points from the bench, They got six
points from the bitch, and theoretically wasn't a bitch because
Phinney Smith played the entire second am. So the problem
that they're running into is that Minnesota is able to
play Rudy Gobert for twenty minutes, they can't play Jackson
Hayes with for six. So now you bring Now you
put Lebron at the fine. Now he has to bang

(52:32):
Julius Randall or he has to you know. So at
some point in time, Gabe Vincent Jackson aage. He's lost
all confidence and dalt connect because he doesn't dalnk connect
his DNP coaching decision. And he might get help him
by spacing the floor and knocking down some threes, but
he can't remember his defensive assignment.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
He can't remember the rotation of what he's supposed to do.
Do I hedge? Do I go with the road? What
do I do?

Speaker 1 (52:57):
I do? I? And I think so jj I think
it's a lot of pressure on the perimeter guys. To
Austin Reeves, it's a lot of pressure on them, not
only the score, but to defend. Let me tell you something,
in this atmosphere, playoff atmosphere, if you can't guard the
first dribble or two to get to give yourself some
time to where we can at least get eyes on

(53:20):
the man or give you a little help. Then when
when you're getting beat off the first move, oo, man,
we can't get help there fast enough to help you.

Speaker 3 (53:27):
Man.

Speaker 1 (53:27):
Look, they get into paint, they get in the teeth
our defense and doing whatever they want because look at
they get past the guards, our back line defenses brun
and Durran, Phinney Smith and yeah yeah, and then like
you know, you have no you have no real protection. Yeah,
you know, you you you and scramble mode every defensive
possession and it's just tough me. It's just gonna be

(53:49):
hard for him to win. I think the size that
that the Timberwolves have, they taken advantage of it.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
M I agree with you, Joe.

Speaker 1 (53:58):
I think the thing here's what's happening that first of all,
Luka can't stop nobody at the first dribble, so they're
getting around him. And so when you bring him guys
getting and putting the guy that's in the darker spott
of getting wid.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
Up in shots and shooting around threes.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
So now and then ad Man, ad Man still keep
saying he keeps auster reeves, or he keeps ruined, or
he keeps Luca in the picking roll. No, I want him,
bring him to be and then they let him play
one on one. You can't let ad man play one
on one. He's a supreme skilled one on one player.
You gotta make him play team ball. Make somebody else
beat you, especially just like tonight we saw Jamal Burray

(54:36):
get hot. He had forty three, just like that man.
And what happened They let him play one on one. Okay,
you let a guy get hot and you let him
play one on one.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Yeah, sorry.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
I think what has happened is by them tramp trapping
at man or kind of putting Hm in this little
cage to uh, you know, make him get a ball up.
He's right plays okay, oh show, and them guys are
making the Lakers pay, whether it's McDaniels getting done some
threes or Randall, you know, making the right play when
he catch at the free throw line where he's attacking

(55:05):
the basket because they ain't got no REMP protection and
he's getting to the line shooting free throws or whatever
he wants. And then in the fourth quarter, when a
man see he know he can beat the double team
anytime he wants. He starts being a double team, and
he starts putting the on this on the Lakers as
far as getting in the paint, making plays, shooting at.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
Threes, and now he can't stop that. Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
And but here's the thing, though, Joe, is that if
you go back and look at Sunday's game, he's raising up,
shooting three from the distance, happy to get the ball
out of his hand. See, I want to make, guys,
I would have make. Let's see if J McDaniel can
make those plays in the fourth quarter with five minutes ago.
I know a man can beat me and man and
man is one of the five or six great best
players in the NBA, So I know what he's more

(55:47):
than people doing.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
Okay, let's see. Let's see what you got, Josh m
J mcdaine. You got that. I think he can do it.
He's he's showing this. He's shown and proving this series that.
See it again.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
I want to see you gonna be open, that man
gonna be confident, he's gonna take these shots.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
He gonna attack the basket.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
I think defensively, when he plays great defense, he kind
of fuels his offense.

Speaker 2 (56:11):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
I think that's kind of for all of them. And
if you know Thise Minnesota, they guards. They don't give
up a lot of the easy points. I know, Lucas
going to run.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
I know aar can get hot, but for the most
part they sit down and guard. Man. They sitting there
for guard. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:25):
But see the difference is is that Lucas shooting over
the top. Those guys are breaking you down getting to
the basket. So there's a difference. Hey, look, there's a
greater chance that you're gonna miss that twenty seven to
twenty eight for the that me missing this this layup. Yeah,
because you see what's happening and is finishing at the
rim or they're filing it.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
They ain't got no trouble. Guys are finishing. We really
don't have.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
I mean, Luca can beat you off the dribble, but
it's not it's because of savviness.

Speaker 2 (56:56):
He ain't gonna just he just out anybody.

Speaker 1 (56:58):
You. He gonna hurt each you know, he gonna sit
down on your he go you're hey, step through you
off the glass and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
We got this tomorrow night, though, Yo, what here we
here we go, here we go again. Got this tomorrow night.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
So hold on, hold on, you said Lakers in five, right,
so obviously that's not that there's no chance for that.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
So you still feel the Lakers have a chance to
win this series? Can you really believe that, though I'm
gonna ask seriously, No.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
I don't believe that he's just going with it because
he's been rolling with them all all. Yeah, Hello, hello, Jodan.
You say we ain't gonna win tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
No, I don't got y'all win. I got Minnesota coming
in there.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
I got them coming to Lila, laying throwing a whole
party up and there, crypto, and you.

Speaker 2 (57:50):
Know what happened if y'all lose tomorrow right? Ain't none?
Because saying do you know what's going I'm hypothetically speaking,
do you know what happened?

Speaker 1 (57:58):
If you'll don't do hypotheticals. I don't do hypotheticals. Can
hypothetically if I slip in my garage, I'll be a mayball.
But guess what hypothetical? See you if that's all if
you sleep in your garage, No, no, you you because
you should be inside of the baby.

Speaker 2 (58:17):
So that's why man but puts up on the joke.
They an't make getting nervous.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
What you all?

Speaker 2 (58:23):
Hey?

Speaker 3 (58:23):
What I like?

Speaker 2 (58:24):
I bet? Yeah, you can't bet, don't get right? Bet
what your striking?

Speaker 1 (58:31):
Ny?

Speaker 2 (58:32):
The stripes I wore stripes on himmet up? What you like?
What you call him?

Speaker 1 (58:37):
Hey? You remember Players Club with Saint Louis would play
dollar Bill, but a dollar Bill would play Saint Louis.
And he come cupt running out there and doing something.
A little man that would carry him up, had his
head all in the car, put the put the cigarette
out on his nose.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
Yeah, hey, he going, man, yo, yo yo, your your
raps ship? Ain't that good right now? Brother? Who?

Speaker 3 (59:00):
Man?

Speaker 2 (59:00):
Yeah? No, my rap she's good. I listened. The only
person I ain't paid back is on everybody else that
got they got they do. M Yeah, let go and
bet you know what?

Speaker 1 (59:12):
You know what.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
Let's better? What's that's better than the chops?

Speaker 1 (59:18):
You know?

Speaker 2 (59:19):
Man? Y'all bet y'all been sorry?

Speaker 1 (59:21):
Man, here he go, nah, hey, cause because he already
know when they see mister sharp on the thing, they
already go ahead cut that that ten hours to waigu
a five.

Speaker 2 (59:31):
They already know when I come, they gonna cut that
thing out because they already know what I'm that a
five oh Joe, Yeah yeah, well yeah yeah McDonald's baby.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
You know, I'm saying I had some of the way
the Wago from I went somewhere and I told Uncle
about it.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
I had. They like they brought it to the table.
It was like in little strips, little trips. Poppy yeah, poppy,
yeah yeah, yeah yeah, I was, I was. I was
on a little date. Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Luca Dungeons has stepped up to pay for the entire
expected cost of restore restoring and vandalized more depicting Kobe
and Gigi Bryant in downtown LA. He made a donation
today to cover the entire goal of a gofund me
page created by artists Louis Pacino. He wants to restore
a mural titled Mambas Forever at fourteenth and Main Street. Luca,

(01:00:28):
It's always been important to give back to the community
that gave me so much, so I just wanted to give.

Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
I don't nobody list many. They don't respect nothing that
young man. People don't even care no more about nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
I thought, y'all, I thought they did me.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Look, no matter no matter how the loved or great
you were, somebody is not gonna take it somebody.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Everybody don't.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
Everybody don't like everybody, So you just we just got
to come to that conclusion.

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Like man, Kobe, Yeah, most people do like Kobe.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Ninety percent of the people in l A love, But
it ain't gonna be There's never a such a situation
where it's all or every.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
So once you remove all of every from your vocabulary,
you'll be good. I just they're just thinking about it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Obviously, the past is one of the greatest ever played,
the game, and the still messing the tragedy, the tragic passes.
But to even bother the mural with great understanding what
Kobe means for that that city, what he's done for
the Lakers organization and the people of l A.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
They even want to vandalize a mural is beyond me.
Beyond me. It's crazy. I agree. Damn. It's more says
more about them than than I mean. I mean, think
about what it takes to go vandalize. Yeah, you ain't
got nothing going on. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Yeah, you do to destroy some property that ain't that
that that you didn't buy, that you did is not yours.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
People always destroy you. Hey, you want to destroy something,
destroy your here, and that's ridiculous, man. They want to
go viral.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
We in the eight Anything you do go viral, they're
gonna catch They catch the right person on the wrong
day and they're gonna be viral.

Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
Yeah, God, damn Kobe Boy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
Stefane Castle is the recipient of the Wilt Chamberlain Trophy
the twenty twenty five kill NBA Rookie of the Year
Spurs and one back to back m VP's Castle twenty
five Victor Wiman Yama UH twenty four. And they're the
first teammates to go back to back since you know
when Ojoe who's the last teammates to go back to back.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Back to back? Uh, rookiet it Rookie of the Year, Damn.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Andrew Wiggins and college the time, No word, head, you
turn your head the other way. It's still gonna be correct.
They got they got a promise in future. You know
they gets over there, they're gonna be all right because
think about it, you know they got Spurs. I mean

(01:03:17):
Winby wanted, Castle not wanted, David Robinson wanted, Tim Duncan wanted.
So they've had for a rookie and in bout two years.
Winby might be the best thing in the league. He
he incredible. I mean for me, he shoots a little
bit too many threads. For me, I was like, hey,
get your big long toll butt down there on that
block and you turned over one of your shoulders. But hey,

(01:03:41):
that's that's where that's where these guys are. Uh. According
to they have been whispers around the league that the
San Antonio Spurs could be a potential landing spot for
one Kevin Durant.

Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
You like Wemby and Kat together, I do.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
I do look like he going somewhere in Texas, but
I would love to see k k D and women. Oh,
Nicole has to go try to make a move for
him and Dob Yeah, yeah, I don't know what. I
don't know what he I don't know if where. In
terms of draft picks, now we know he got one
of the one of the Lakers draft picks.

Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
I don't know if that's enough.

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
I don't know if the Spurs won't that draft pick
and one of those bigs Lively, a Gafford or somebody else.
Because he's really what he wants to compare. He wants
to play a Kyrie a d He can Finich finx
and won't try to trade him. It was one like
he asked for no trade. K So no, they probably
they'd probably be willing to, you know, do something. I

(01:04:40):
can't see him. I can't see him not trading him,
you know what I mean, They probably gonna get actually
what they want, but they probably get something.

Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
No, you're not gonna get what you gave up on
all those draft picks. And they gave up. They gave
up who I say, they gave up draft picks.

Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
You know, they gave him Michael Bridges and Camp Johnson
and they get and they I think they gave up
like fourth first round picks, three or four first round picks.
And he didn't work out. But you said, you know what,
we're gonna win the championship. That's gonna be the last
pick in the draft. YadA, YadA, YadA. I'm not worried
about it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
What happens when you don't you don't even make the playoffs,
and what you could get to rebuild that goes to
somebody else. So I do you you know what I'm saying.
I buy all these blocks and yeah, man, my house
goal be so nice, but I get this thing They're like, no, no, no, no,
no no. The blocks that you just bought, going to me.
Let me gonna get those.

Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
Let me, let me go get those pieces that you
was gonna now, let me get that. I still like Katie.
I still like Katie going to Okay. See now, I'm
not sure how far OKAYC goes in the playoff.

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
I just say I think. I think the pairing of
him and.

Speaker 1 (01:05:46):
Sam Presty Sam prest They're like, naw, that's that's that's
not going on. You didn't tell me because look didn't
look at that. It like, hold on, bro, if you talk,
if we knew you was gonna live, Because think about it,
a lot of times when you have a great player,
you want to trade. If he know he leaving, I'm
gonna trade you because I'm gonna get some conversation.

Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
KD walked down the door and then they ain't get
nothing for him. Think about what you could have.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
Got for KD six years ago, six five, six first
round picks. He walked out the door and you got nothing. Yeah,
and they were able to rebuild it. A lot of
that had to do with Shade because think about what
the Clippers gave up to get Paul George. Think about
what the Rockets gave up to get Russ. They traded

(01:06:31):
Chris Paul, so they just and Sam what. You can
say whatever you want about Sam Presty. He did draft Kady,
he did draft Russ. He did draft Harden, Obaca, Riggie Jackson,
Steven Adams, Jaylen Williams, all those Chaned Hogan, all those guys.

(01:06:53):
He made the trade for shape. He could put a
team down talent. He got a great out of talent. Hoh, y'all,
I don't see that, Joe uh No. I just I
see okay, see doing really well in this playoffs this year, right,
they're going to get kt bro.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
What what do you think? Okay, what you thinking about
KD coming to Miami with Ja and honest did that?

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
Just didn't

Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
