If Bill Belichick talks to North Carolina about possibly becoming
the next head coach at Chapel Hill, Belichick's vote more
about the situation on Let's Go podcast Now. Asked by
Jim Gray about abandoning the pursuit of the all time
wins record held by Don Shula, Belichick says, I don't
have any said goals. I'm opening to different opportunities going forward.
I'll just evaluate them as they come. He characterized the
(02:05):
UNC talks as exploratory with the possibility of becoming something
more than that. I think it's a process of just
understanding what mutual goals expectations and resources are to find
out whether it's a fit, and in the process we'll
just see how it goes. He didn't rule out returning
to the NFL. Belichick girlfriend supports the move to Chapel Hill.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
And I don't support it as a colleague, as a
colleague of Bill Belichick on the inside the NFL Wednesday's
at nine pm on the CW, I'm gonna just throw
that plug out there for your for those go ahead
that don't know, that's the plug out there, Belichick and
our colleagues Wednesday again, inside the NFL on the COW
at nine PM. I don't I don't like the move.
I don't like the move because if Bill Belichick decides
(02:51):
to go to Chapel Hill, I would I think it
did maybe does nothing for him as a legendary coach
that he that he already is. If anything, I would
love to see him transition back into the NFL. Obviously
to get that Don Shutter record in which I talked
about not long ago, maybe two or three nights ago.
If I'm not mistaken, going to college, I mean it's cool,
but with the way the landscape of college is now,
(03:14):
with the nil money and and and some teams being
at a disadvantage when it comes to competing at the
highest level. I don't think Bill should have to go
through that. I don't think he should, and I don't
I don't, I don't, I don't, don't don't think I
personally don't think it's a good move. I personally would
love Bill to stay with us at inside the NFL.
And when the opportunity presents itself in the NFL, then
(03:35):
transition into that if that team has a good, adequate
quarterback that you know you can win with, and then
that team organization will give you the keys to allow
you to build the offense that excuse me, to allow
you to build the defense that you know you need
to compete at the highest level just and and eventually
get that Don Shutler record, you know, as the most
(03:56):
winning coach of all time. That's That's my two cents,
is how I feel. I'm sure Billy's gonna see this.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
And well, for me personally, I don't think if he
wasn't interested, he wouldn't have wasted his time. So clearly
he's interested in coaching and he doesn't want he doesn't
want another situation where all these jobs became available and
he didn't get one.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
O Joe. I mean, come on now, think about that, Ojo.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
You're the all You're like number two on the all
time winning as coach, you got the most playoff wins
of the coach, you got the most, you got the
most super Bowl win as a head coach, and the
job's open and you don't get one.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
He's been coaching for fifty seven thirty seven years, so
it's okay to take one year off. One yearall fingle hurt.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
It wasn't his choice. No job was off for now.
I'm not telling what somebody told me. I'm telling you
what I know. That's why he went on interviews. If
who goes on the job interview if you're not interested
on the.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Job, is that what you're doing?
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I mean sometimes when they.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Call you for inside the NFL, you're not interested in
that job. You're like, nah, I'm good. Oh you went
on the interview wanting to get the job. Yes, yeah, sometimes,
thank you.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Sometimes you know what you do right, you know when
I just do hair back in the day, right, and
you know you turn the stove on, you put the
hot comb on the stove. Sometimes you got to touch
the stove to take the temperature allly doing. But you
didn't do that unless you were doing somebody's hair.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
You didn't put the hot home on the stove if
nobody was coming over to get their hair done.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Okay, I'm just making sure, just making sure we're on
the same page that.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
You had that when you got this got you got
this one, you got this one.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
I think it did. Did. Look the man wants to coach.
That's what he's done.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
He's done that for the better part of his life.
It's not easy.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
It's not easy because a lot of times we see
people work these jobs up and they start to deteriorate
as they leave because that's all they know. And somebody said, well,
it's the right thing for you to do. No coach
until you don't want to coach anymore. If somebody give
you a job, go coach now. Sometimes I don't child.
(05:58):
You might have to go to college route to go back.
Pete Carroll. Pete Carroll was an NFL head coach. Nobody
would hire him. He had to go to USC in
order to go to Seattle. And maybe coach you Belichick
might have to go to a UNC or whatever the
case may be. For a year or two in order
to get back, but he's too close to the all
(06:18):
time record to like, no, I'm good. Yeah, I don't
care what anybody says. People are competitive, especially with milestone records,
just the way it is, and you don't get to
that level. Nobody has ever achieved anything without being competitive,
(06:39):
because life is a competition. Whether you're an actor, you're
a musician, you a chef, it doesn't matter. You want
to be the best. Yeah, And the likelihood if he
gets this record, I don't know. I don't know if
Andy's gonna have enough years to coach to catch it.
(07:00):
Who's gonna coach you long enough to catch it and
to win like he's won. Just think about it. There
was a twenty year stretch there with him and Tom. Yeah,
they had one season I think after they won the
Super Bowl in one, sir, they went like they were
eight and eight. Other than that, there was ten and six, eleven, five,
twelve and four, thirteen, three, fourteen to two for twenty years. Yeah,
(07:26):
I don't know if anybody will break that record, And
so I think he's gonna want I think he wants it.
I think he wants to get it. And I don't
blame him. Yeah, I don't blame it.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Definitely don't. Definitely don't.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
It's gonna be but you gotta go to the right
situation or you be coaching teng it'll take you ten
years to break it.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm excited for him, you know whatever.
He wants to do.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
A lot of kept Tom Brady just to break it.
I was like, yeah, yeah, a Bob Robert, Yeah, we're
gonna keep Tom for number two three more years and
get the record. Hey, who knows? Tom was probably fed up?
You're like, hey, y'all should extended me when y'all wanted
to be extended. Now something else interests me. It's kind
(08:08):
of like a relationship, O Joe. Sometimes, Hey, you get
ready to leave now the party wants to treat you good. Nah,
you had a chance to treat me good for five, six,
ten years, I'd have made.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
My mind up.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
That's going to be some time.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Yeah, yeah, i'd have made my mind up. Plus I
have got a little honey outside too. That thing's sweet.
Oh yeah right. The Patriots who will will reportedly be
all in on signing wide receiver T Higgins this offseason,
but after tonight's game, Charlie Clifford tweeted Joe Burrow with
(08:45):
a postgame bombshell. I'm confident we're going to do whatever
it takes to get T Higgins back. In twenty twenty five,
said he's willing to do whatever it takes to make
that happen. Sounds like Joey b might rework his deal
to keep his wide outs.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
I like that, but but listen, listen, I know one thing,
uh T Higgins is not taking no goddamn home team discount.
Speaker 3 (09:13):
Would want somewhere.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Let's not play that game. So I'm understanding what numbers
can make. Can can Joe and figure where they can
fit they can fit in and paying both Chase and
and uh in T Higgins' I don't know what that
may be now from a business as a business standpoint,
I love the idea, but I actually don't because in
the grand scheme of things, there's no way you can
(09:38):
pay T. Higgins and Jamar Chase at the same time,
especially based on Jamar Chase's true value in what he deserves.
And you gonna need to say some of that money
for Hendrickson. You need to bring him back.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
The best. He showed up tonight.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
They need when they needed pressure, and they got it.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
They got it.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
They got it. Listen, I love I love Joe, love
of Joey was talking about. But it's impossible. It's impossible.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah, I just don't know how you put seventy million
dollars into receivers lot Choe.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
I just don't see how you do it. You can't,
you can't. I don't Listen.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
I'm gonnaell you him, be the first one to tell you,
ta he deserves. He deserves, you know, and he's not
gonna be able to get what he deserves in Cincinnati.
As much as I love it, as much as I
would love for him to stay, but this is the business.
I need people that are fans of the game to
be able to separate being a fan in the business
side of things, so T can get with deserves.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Kirk cousins status as the Falcons starting quarterback has been
questioned over the last month. He's thrown eight in the
sessions no touchdowns over the team's four games. Over the
four game losing street Man. However, the Falcons Raheem Morris
is choosing to stick with Cousins once again. He said today.
Cousins will start next Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.
(10:53):
I've said this, O Joe. They still have a chance
to win the division. Once we're mathematically eliminated, I'll go
to Penick Jr.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
But until then, right, I ain't.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
No, we kind of said the same thing. We said
the same thing. I said the same thing. I think
it was last night. We talked about it, you know,
and in short, listen, if there's if there's a game
where Kirk Cousins can rebound and build some of somewhat
of a little bit of confidence in getting that rhythm
(11:25):
and chemistry back and rapport with the receiver with the
receiving cord with his running backs and kind of get
things going and get his confidence back, it would probably
be the Raiders as long as he can stay off
the goddamn floor. But Matt Crobby, you know, breading down
his neck.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
But well, as long as long as he will be
the raiders best player. Yeah, that's a good one.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
I like that. I like that because that's the problem
turning the ball. The ball over you would be the Raiders'
best player. But yes, listen, but this is the game,
you know, Defensively, where he can, he can get off,
he can get off a little bit. So we'll see
what happens and if they lose again, if they happen
to lose to the Raid, you know, I think a
change will be made at at any point that they're limiting.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
If it all depends on if Tampa loses also because
right now, because remember O Joe, they beat Tampa head
to head in Tampa, Tampa's I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Hey, that Thursday night game.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
You talk about that Tampa the Atlanta Falcon Thursday night game,
that was the best Thursday Night is uh, yeah, outside
of the recent it was.
Speaker 5 (12:23):
It was.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
It was in Temple, it was in Atlanta, right, I believe,
So I'm talking about that. It was awesome. I'm about
back and yes, I never forget that game.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
And so we've already got the Falcons said, we already
got the head to head. So we beat you again
and we got the same record we went the division
because we swept you in the division. So I understand
Raheem Morris why he's not doing that. The Ravens says
that they're focused, don't making a playoff run. Not recent
discipline of a teammate the Ravens suspended Deontay Johnson for
one game after gim Eric da Costa said the veteran
(12:53):
wide receiver refused.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
The end of the game. Damno, players really do that.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Well, let's finish up the December first game against the Eagles.
On Monday, coming off to buy, Johnson's fellow wide receiver
said they didn't have any issue with it. It ain't
a distraction. Zay Flowers said, that's not my decision to make.
He's still one of my guys. He's still one of
our guys. Johnson, who's not practicing with the team during
the suspension, will miss Sunday's game at the Giants. Ojo,
(13:19):
do you believe this is a distraction. It's not a distraction,
especially as a player.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
As a player, you understand certain players have to make
business decisions that they feel is best for themselves, whatever
it may be, even though it's football related. But we
as players, I don't know how you felt, uncle, We
as players don't allow anything else to bother us except
what we control.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
That's it. Hell, I ain't going to spend it ay
my money.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Yeah, it is. You know, normally in most times on
the other side of the fence. Now, being on the
media side of things, we consider things being a distraction
that are going on in the locker room when it's
based off one individual having an issue. But it's no
damn distraction because we as players have a job to do.
We have a name on the back of jersey, and
the job that we do as a team comes from
(14:01):
an individual standpoint. Once we touch that field, we ain't
worried about nothing else being got damn distractions? When that
was who blows? Do you think I'm worried about why
Deontay Johnson ain't here?
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Now that was Jay Flowers, He will be a distraction.
If that was Jack Henry to be a distraction, Yeah,
that's a distraction.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
The fifth wide.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Receiver not going into the game because he don't feel
like he's getting he get.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
This number call, ain't no damn distraction.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Oh, I just thought it was a situation where hell,
he wasn't in the game because he wasn't in the
game playing. Hell, it wasn't doing like he was doing
something and practice was doing something in the game when
he was in there.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
So that's how I look at it. I agree with you.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
I'm not looking at a guy or fourth or fifth
wide receiver as being a distraction. Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews like,
Derrick Henry, Yeah, yeah, something like that there.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Marlon Humphrey. Now I'm like, whoa, whoa, what's going what's
really going on? That's a problem. That's a distraction. That's
just not a distraction.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Newly signed met Juan Soto reportedly had an unfortunate experience
early in his tenure with the New York Yankees. John
Hymot of The New York Post reported Soto had negative
feelings about an instance in April or May where the
Yankee security guy removed one of his parents from the
area of the Yankee Stadium. The same security guy reportedly
also removed Sodo's driver, ash Chef, later in the year,
(15:31):
forcing them to stand outside in the rain. They'mun ask
Soto about the issue after the elect Yankees watched to
the Dodgers and five. Soto is a family guy and
he was not happy at the time. Understandab man, y'all
bess riding across these people the job ununderstandable now and
what was funny? Because of his decision, this might have
went into him decision making on going to Yeah, for sure,
(15:52):
that's right down to goddamn Street. And what's gonna happen
now is the Yankees are gonna go back.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
They're gonna do their homework, find out who this was
that removed his family, the chef, the driver who had
maybe been the family member and had them standing in
the ring. And boy, you're gonna have to answer to somebody.
You're gonna maybe the unemploy the unemployment officer. Yea, you're
gonna have the unemployment office. You're gonna have to answer
to somebody. You know, I understand it's it's one thing
(16:16):
to do your job, but don't abuse your power doing
your job.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
But here's the thing. There's one thing to do your job,
but understand who you're doing your job with. Yeah, and
for Yeah, because you I understand that's why Sodo Aaron Judge,
you ain't doing that, Juan Soto, you're not doing that.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
There's a certain thing when Jeter was in there, a Rod, come.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
On, oh, you're not doing that. You I mean, I.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Mean there's certain things. I get it. I get I
understand security. But John and myself and TD.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Really yeah, yeah, dang really yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
Now that was gonna be a major problem. Yeah, And
I'm sure that they came down to a decision making.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
You know, because you look at the it doesn't make
it a whole lot of sense to me either, O Jo.
He got an ideal situation. He got a short right
field porch. Either left handed batter. He has a very
discerning eye. You know, he's not a three, but two
eighty five is a nice average. I mean, now, hey,
it used to be guy. It used to be guys
three hundred. Now guys want to blast the ball over
(17:20):
the fence. But he has a very discerning eye. Yeah,
you're not gonna strike him out. He's not gonna swing
at bad pictures. He's gonna make you get him out.
He's not gonna help you. He's a very he's a
very good player, young player. Oh Jo, he turned down
three years ago, fifteen years four, fifty three years later
he got an extra three to fifteen.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Yeah, he knew better. He understood. That's what you call
not only trusting yourself, that's called betting on yourself.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, understand, that's what.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Understand There was going to be no decline in your game,
and in three years time, you knew where you would
be at because of the consistency and the work that
you put in that's called baseball.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
The Baseball Union, Ojo. They don't let you give deals
because they want to keep driving the salaries up. And
they know if you give somebody a deal, now that
pauses that. That's why guys were like, man, why do
he leave the ideal situation? Because they want to drive
the salaries up. Damn ideal situation. We want these salaries
to continuously go up. And the only way we do
(18:21):
that is that if you go somewhere, even it's not
ideal for you, it's ideal for the betterment of the
It's the betterment of the system. So that's why o
Tane left. That's now Mike Trout was the only one
that stayed and took the money. Look at Pooholes, look
at the guys. Look at those guys. They're like, Noah,
bro must be the money.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Now.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
I get Aaron Judge because you know, he's a hometown kid.
He grew up in the Yankees organization and they gave
him something.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
You're a Yankees captain.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
That means something a lot, especially with that you got
them pinstripes on that.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Yes, yes, yes, so I'm happy for one Soto. I
would have loved for him to stay. Obviously I root
for the Yankees, but I understand it if that was
one of the reasons that he left. I can't say
I'm blaming man. You treat my family like that, got
people standing in the range that I that I love it.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Man. Please.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I'm surprised we didn't hear more about this because he
probably probably would have raised some He probably should have
raised some hell then, but hey, he bothered it up.
They're gonna come a time because he left for the
He left the Yankees. What for extra five million dollars?
Speaker 3 (19:29):
O Jo? I asked, and I asked the question this morning.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
What can't you buy with seven sixty that you can
is seven sixty five?
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Well you got you get that kind of money? Oh Joe?
Speaker 1 (19:41):
What nothing? Nothing at all? That's that's what That's what
we call.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
You know.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
I wonder what would be the term for that kind
of salary, because sometime you think about it, some of
the top NBA players they get fuck you money.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
What do you think this is?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
It's called fuck you money?
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Sometimes?
Speaker 1 (19:57):
What do you call this?
Speaker 3 (19:59):
O Jo? Just thinking so much?
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Just think if somebody gave you alta, they say, oh
yo for the next for the next fifteen years, We're
gonna give you ten million a year fifteen he getting
fifty one.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
So that's not fucking money. We need to we need
another term or analogy for this because this is this
surpasses that of NBA players.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
You ain't no you, that's everyone, that's if everyone money.
Now it's time for our very special segment and it's
led by Oh Joe.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
This is soccer cap Hey.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Y'all, My good people. Y'all listeners, can you hear me.
Speaker 3 (20:56):

kicks off on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, listen to me.

Barcelona on Wednesday exclusively on powamount Plus. These two massive

clubs currently have the same amount of points, sitting on
twelve points each near the top of the league table.

while Arsenal hosts Monaco and Juventus face Manchester City as
teams battle for position and critical points in order to
(21:41):

the action. Here to Paramount plus dot com slash Live
Sports to sign up for Powermount Plus right now through
your favor and I meant right now. Matchup review dortmun
and Barcelona head to head four matches Dormant zero wins,
(22:05):
Barcelona two wins and two draws. Champions League runner up
last year season, Dorman are flying once again in Europe
with twelve points from a possible fifteen in the revamped
league phase. That's the same tally as Barcelona and one
that's bettered only by Anti Milan thirteen and Liverpool fifteen.
Ahead of the final round of fixtures of the calendar year,
(22:28):
Doorman is searching for his first win against Barcelona, admit
it having their best starter to Champions League campaign since
twenty sixteen twenty seventeen. But this past week in Doormen
had an injuries since Nikolai Schuler and Maximilian are in
danger of joining their teammates Walter Addon, Julian Brandt and
Kareem oh I don't know how to say it. Last
(22:49):
name on the sidelines. Doorman should be providing an update
this Tuesday on the press conference. If they're able to
play or not in this game? Who am I going with? Listen,
look at Barcelona. They've had Rorman's number in their head.
They head matches. So if I was a batman and
if you're a betman at home, I take Barcelona to
win this game.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
You got Barcelona.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah, I got Barcelona. I got Barcelona. That's it, absolutely uncle,
that is it for soccer kiz ad is that concludes
that soccer cap soccer kiz ad Oh.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Joe Julil White is catching heat online after saying he
feels Family Matters is left out of legacy black entertainment
and Family Matters always ranking labs on the polls of
favorite Black shows underneath Martin and Living Single.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
If it's not a hood story, it's not a black story. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
I don't I don't understand what these mean. Listen, Family
Matters is a legacy when it comes to sitcoms back
in the days. Yes, Family Batters, Martin is all on
the same umbrella. I mean, I'm not sure what you're
talking about, a different world. I mean, need I need
I keep going Living Single, I mean, I mean it
(24:08):
just is and What he can't worry about is when
publications or media outlets talk about let's talk about the culture,
the culture in general, and how that show resonates with
all of us when it comes to family, the Cosby Show,
family and all that is under the same.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
That wasn't nothing and the Cosby definitely wasn't no damn
hood oh Man, Listen, absolutely not. So I'm he's mistaken.
I'm not sure where he's getting his information from. But listen,
it resonates with all of us.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Is it was okay? But Bro, it is okay. Listen,
it's okay. Bro, you got I think I think the
show was on seven years six, seven years back. Bro,
you had a nice run, very good run. You can't
concern you can concern yourself about how the culture feels
about certain shows. It's okay, it's okay. That doesn't make
(24:58):
any That don't make any less. You were phenomenal in
the role that you played uncle. It is one of
the roles that we'll remember forever. But I don't think
many people think Family Matters was as good as show
as Martin, as good a show as Living Single, as
good a show as a Different World, as good a
(25:18):
show as some of the others.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
It's just not and it's okay.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
They're they're they're all special in their own right. They
all get different, they all different, you know. Yeah, Family
Matters was a family dynamic. Yeah, family dynamic, Bill, I
mean the Cosby Show was a family dynamic. If you
wanted to watch something else, then you watch a different
type of show that didn't give you that family dynamic. Yes,
(25:43):
but it was it was fun. Family Matters was great
man from top to goddamn bottom, man, life lessons, you know,
all types of stuff they gave us along with laughter.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
M but it's okay. But look, I like I disagree.
I don't think ain't because it wasn't a hood story.
Isn't why it's ranked underneath Living Single in some of
those other shows.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I just think those other shows were better. That's just me.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
There's some people that say, hey, I like Family Matters,
and that's fine too. But Martin was appointment viewing. Living
Single was appointment viewing it.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
It just was.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
It Ain't nothing wrong with that, I mean Martin. People
will still watch reruns of Martin to this day.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Still and you will still laugh as if you first
time seeing it. Yeah, the first time seeing it, which
is which is weird? And Martin Martin show did Jamie
Foxx show. It just had one of them one. They
were special in their open right. But that doesn't take
anything away from what family matter does, what does some people.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
It's all the purpose in what you like. That was
it was I still love when she wanted to fight
paalem Way Way, Yeah, I mean a little dude, lo Roscoe.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Man Listen man Hey, Mark Martin was great, boy Martin
was great. Uh.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Legendary singer and songwriter Mickey Howard shared a striking memory
from the height of her career. After winning a Soul
Trained Music Award. She's a devoted fan of Anita Baker,
saw her idol backstage, expecting congratulations, She was instead met
with sharp criticis a sharp comment, as Anita whispered, put
that award on your mantle because it's the last word.
(27:32):
The remark stung Mickey, leaving her with mixed emotion. Reflected
on that moment, Mickey Howard explained how serious and competitive
art artists were in that era, particularly those who achieved
legendary status. She noted that performers like Anita Baker Chaka
Khan were intensely focused on their craft, with a passion
that extended to even casual interactions like Shaka's unwillingness to
(27:55):
lose a lose at a game.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
Of cards with them.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Legends there Boy, Shota Khan, Anita Baker, Aretha Flankoln Aretha Franklin.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
So this diva ain't just this diva ism ain't just
started because they want to make it seem like it
just started with Whitney and Mariah and Beyonce.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
So we talked about, we talked about before they were
even born.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
He back, But just start there was Diva's waby the
patty and labels of the world.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Man, stop playing what you talking about?
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Man?
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Hold up?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Didn't hold up, didn't didn't need a Baker kicked the
baby Face off her tour?
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Is that I don't know? Chat help it from chat?
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Am?
Speaker 3 (28:36):
I right?
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Hey, I think I think her and Babyface had a
tour and I think Babyface was getting a little bit
more attention or praise or something, and I think she
kicked them off the tour.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Hey.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Now, I could be wrong if I'm speaking out of place, Guys,
forgive me, but I think I read something about that.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
And I needed Bakerman going that it was somebody I
can't remember exactly who it is. I need a Baker
and somebody I can't came up, another artist from from
back then. They just been taking They even taking pop
shots at each other on Twitter.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Y'all hold up. You remember when they had hold on.
They had these women singing. I think it was Mariah,
I think it was Aretha.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
They had Christina Aguilera.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
They had them all out there on Joe and they hey,
you not fitting out do me? They got that Ritha
saying y'all do y'all better stop playing with the queen now.
Every time one will go another ONeill go higher, and
another one go higher and another one go higher.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Stop playing now. We could do this all night. How
y'all want to do it? Yeah? So uh.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
But everything is competitive out Joe, listen and anything that
you do, especially want to be when you want to
be great, when you want to be great at whatever
it is that you're doing.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
You know, when it comes to music, Hell, it could
be the corporate world. If you're trying to climb that
goddamn ladder, sports, football, basketball, I mean, that's that's just
what it is. You know, anything else that you're doing
in life where you're not trying to be the best
and the greatest attede. You're just wasting your time unless
you're just doing there check.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
No nah, them women they want to be I mean
Shaka and Patty LaBelle Andretha. I mean, you know when
you're talking, Yeah, Stephanie, Hey, hey boy.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
Hey, that woman she by this talk.
Speaker 2 (30:23):

can blow them. Hey that stuff that she did with
a Teddy pendergrad Yeah, well, y'all better stop playable little Stephanie.
Speaker 1 (30:36):

Speaker 2 (30:41):

of those women singing, Hey, they just don't make them
like that like that.
Speaker 1 (30:52):

see Teena Marie live.
Speaker 2 (30:58):

Speaker 3 (31:24):

Speaker 1 (31:25):
Oh, because when you hear a voice, we hear a voice,
you would never know a nothing white unless you see it.
You would never know. Ain't nothing white. Ain't nothing white
about that? And she's smart.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
I don't know what it is about the smallest women

see the different type of pound cakes that she made
bunk excuse me, I'll keep bunk cakes. But they pound cakes,
pound cake, bunk cake. The only difference is one got
a hole in it. The others is across the top.
That's the that's the only difference between a bunt cake
and a pound cake. But it is, it is. It
is pound bunk cake. But hey, it's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I'm sure I'm trying to shoot my shot on getting

Speaker 3 (35:27):
What that is? What that is?
Speaker 2 (35:30):
It's uh so fans and so Fana is sharper, so
Fanna is sharper so Fana sharper. Okay, Mama so fan

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Yeah, I gotta get that. Okay, okay, okay okay.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Yeah, I tell you what you do with you? This
is what i'mouna do for you. What's if you keep
the light of my eye, I keep the taste out
your mind. Just do that for it right there. Don't
let don't let no light get mind. I'm gonna keep
the taste out your mind. That's a good one. Now
that's a good one. You know, it takes it takes
a It take a team to do that. And now
we got to be like Dukes and Hazard.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Uh, year me. We gotta be like, hey, we got
to be like smoking the Bandit year me. What you
know about smoking the bad Don't do me like that.
Come on, don't do that. Don't do it like that

with riddles.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
I was on set. I was on set when I
remember that. I remember that, uh with boy and Luke Duke.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Yeah, man boy, Yeah, Daisy with nice washing day weigh
all the ninety two pounds.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
But back then, that thing she would she was a

Speaker 1 (36:58):

watching that BIB Correctional facility.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (37:22):
I appreciate you'all boys tuning in with us, man, you know,
and locking in with us each night when y'all have opportunity,
and uh that that's pretty much it.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
Man.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Y'all, y'all hold your head all love.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
On this end. Appreciate that man. Appreciate the support. Bill
County Correctional Institute. Hell, I'm down to Bill County. That
sound like making, but you say it's so part of Alabama.
All right, your time, five, last segment of the evening.
(37:54):
It's time for Q and a Q and a ask
me anything you want?
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Get a wrap?
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Used to be a rapper or nine inn of trapper?
I lost ninety two breaks in the Yappa Ridney Ford
saying foot ball o jo, you were just crying. You
sound like a Cowboys fan celebrating a C plus season. Hey, hey,
all on, homeboy, Hold on, homeboy. One thing you don't
do is you don't disrespect me all my Bengals, because
(38:22):
if you do that, you ain't gonna be able to
say foot or ball, say something stick by my bangles again.
You're gonna be having a liquid diet.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
You know what that means? Huh huh.
Speaker 1 (38:31):
I'm gonna give you what. Keith Leafing again. Huh, keep
it cute, keep it cute, and that play Oh yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, I'm on that. Whatever you on, I'm on that.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
What you trying to Bana Sharple?
Speaker 2 (38:43):
Oh man, y'all go to Savanah sharp or I g
pa and look at this sweet potato pecan pound cakes?
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Who potato? Who pecan? A sweet potato pecan cake? H
they put pecans in there? Yep, they got sweet potato
pecan pound cakes. Hey, hey boy, that's that sounded like
a delicate And she got that, she got that butter
cream or on the top of it, that bread of cream.
Uh hey, hey, that sounded like a delicacy to me
at the fact I can give me some of that,
(39:11):
right and send me some tea and holding my peky
up like this, You know, so I got so I
can feel classic.
Speaker 3 (39:17):
You're gonna be eating by yourself. You ain't got nobody
to share it with.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
You like me, You ain't even have to take no
shot like that was a low blow. That was a
low blower, especially at a time like this when I'm
going through a different page. Yeah, I guess you'd be
eating cake with me. You be at my house eating
cake and we'll be talking together. Heyause literally love company. Yeah,
(39:43):
it's all, it's all good, it's all. I'm gonna be
all right because I'm going through therapy. That's what I'm
talking about. That's that's the thing. Boy, been there, yeah there, yeah, yeah,
yeah yeah, Brandon Martinez Bingals should make a movie with
(40:04):
all that acting.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Now.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Now, I mean, look that was a Look, you gotta
get a win. I mean, you got to start somewhere.
They knew if the Bengals lose this game, this season
was over. Oh yeah, I mean they ain't even a
two percent chance. At least they got a milk chance
right now, which is two percent. They lose this game,
it's over. Yeah, yeah, I mean it was a yard
fifty five go ahead.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
No, I was just saying it was.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
It was a good all jokes, Acidey.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
Was a good game for us, and in the timing
of the team we were playing, you know, obviously with
them being in the down year as well, it was
big for us. And hell, we almost lost it. We
almost lost this one too. We almost lost this one.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
But well, Joe, that.
Speaker 2 (40:45):
And your defense, your defense held in the twenty Yeah, yeah,
defense held on the twenty jr. Fifty five forty three.
Jared Jones and McCarthy need to bring back the hometown buffet. Everybody,
excuse me, everyone come get in. All they could eat
and leave seemed like it.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
M There is no home.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Field advantage for the Cowboys. They don't have a home
field advantage like Arrowhead. They don't have a home field
advantage like Lambeau. They don't have a home field advantage
like my tradition, because sometimes you can have a stadium
that the ambiance that people come in, they look at
the stadium and they cheered, and they you know, board
like it's kind of like you know what, it's like
o Jo going to the sphere. If you get an
(41:26):
opportunity to go to the sphere, it's not the act.
Because I'm watching I'm watching the m l A fight. Man,
I'm looking at it all.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Yeah. Yeah, Like hey, I said, look at that, look
at them birds, look at this, Look.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
At that's one. That's one of those places where the
astatics trumps whatever's going on on the inside.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
No question about it, no question about it. I don't care.
I mean, look, I think the Eagles are getting ready
to perform there. I think they're going to be there
for like two weeks, two or three weeks. Man, Like
I said, I went and I watched I'm watching the
UFC fight. Well I was supposed to be watching the
UFC fight, but I'm just looking at all the stuff
that's going around because it's amazing.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Yeah, it is. It is amazing because you have to
go see it.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Yeah, for those those in the chat that haven't missed
the spear, the amount of money that they put into it,
get just that. That's the experience you get. Sometimes you
hear things that cost a lot of money and you
see it in person, it's like what they paid all
that for this, but it's every bit of what you
expect based on what they had to.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Pay for, and it is unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
It's unbelieva on the outside and it's even better on
the inside. You got to experience it.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Uheke Zach Carrasco. What your diehard delusional cowboy than here.
Y'all got lucky. We messed up that block put and
didn't have Dak. We'll be back and better next year
for our Super Bowl run. See he told you what
he was. He said, I'm a delusional cowboy fan I
like that.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
I like that it's talk about being self aware. Of
self awareness is very important in anything had to we do.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Right, nightlife, transportation, good way tonight, Chad. If y'all would
have lost, Cooper Rush would have roaster you yo, you
know what? Yeah, all night long? Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (43:08):
Oh actually, actually if we had lost the night I
wouldn't even been on the show because I wasn't showing up.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
Oh yeah, you show it up, come getting these jokes.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
I pat your hogs said, Oh, Joe, I recently watched
Monday night football game between the Bengals and the Steelers.
The turnover was your teammate, and I was curious why
why you were so frustrated with the game between the
Steelers ended up winning twenty seven twenty one steal a nation.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
I don't know. I'm not sure the game you're referencing.
I can't remember.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
If we lost. I'm always frustrated, he.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Said With t O, he said, Oh, I was recently
watching the Monday night game between the Bengals and the
Steelers when t O was your teammate, and I was
curious why you were so frustrated with that game between
my Steelers ended up winning twenty seven twenty one.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
Oh hey, that's the game. Remember I told you what
Carson custom you out?
Speaker 5 (44:00):
That was it.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
That's the game. Our our hot, our hot. Yeah, that
gave out somebody. And Carson was like, if you ever
motherfuckering showed me up like that again, I never throw
your ass the ball. I was like, oh, ship, okay,
a dog.
Speaker 3 (44:13):
Got he got it.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
He got it.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
He got a little.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
He got a little. That dog in't he?
Speaker 1 (44:17):
That was funny.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Pat Dove said, Oh, Joe, how would you feel if
he ended up with the Broncos because he ain't gonna
be back with y'all next year.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
We know he's not gonna be back, you know, from
because from a financial, you know, perspective and standpoint. But
I would I wouldn't mind. I wouldn't mind him going there.
I wouldn't mind him going there. I wouldn't mind him
going to New England. You know, New England had and
Drake May. Now I wouldn't mind him going to the
Broncos as well because of the quarterback play over there,
Yo Bow Knicks and Drake May and and and and
(44:46):
well it was another team. I said, yeah, Joe, Drake May,
Drake May and bow Next day Patriots. They ain't no
goddamn they ain't got no, they ain't got no goddamn
Joe Burrow. But he gonna be both the boys to
throw that ball. They they are good was of the ball.
So I would have the problem with that. But he
deserves his money. I love what Joe Burrow said, but
t there's nothing he can do contractually where he can
(45:09):
get what he actually deserves that he they didn't get
from another team. He's not gonna be able to get
it from Cincinnati. Would Chase getting ready to break the
bank the way he is? Wouldn't no goddamn mask on?
Doctor Frank A. L. Bellaman, What's up?
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Dot up? If Oyo played with Joe Burrow today, would
he still be the number one option? Or would Chase
take that spot?
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Oh? Jo, Yeah, how would you have a share in
the spot like with Chase? Love y'all.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
I mean, listen, obviously, if I would Chase, I probably
take a back seat. I'll probably take a back seat
because I know I'm gonna get mine anyway. I'm getting
mine anyway. The same way when when Teo kanea Cincinnati,
when TiO came to Cincinnati, I took a back seat
because I understood that this is greatness in front of me,
regardless of what I'd done. Took point.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
I ain't.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
I ain't mother fucking stupid. I ain't delusional. We told
about one of the greater goddamn time like, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (45:54):
In my own right.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
You know I am the greatest entertaining football player of
all time. Now, when it comes to playing the game
and having stats of that of one of the best ever,
you understand that you know what that is, and you
put your motherfucker pride in your side. Boom tee, here,
go to motherfucking keys, do your thing. I'm following behind you.
So he was batman, I was robbing. I don't have
no problem with that. Now. Hypothetically speaking, if I had
(46:17):
an opportunity to play with Chase, there were things that
Chase does that I could never do. I ain't catching
no god damn slamming hitch out and go on, motherfucking
sixty seventy hit. I'm with at doing one thing, triple
team and let me shure you I can steal it open.
Let me show you I can carve your motherfucking defense
up on any motherfucker round. Let me show you I
(46:40):
can beat you deep you know all that you know
catching the ball shortened thing of make two and three
people missing me going hell nah shit, man, I'm gonna
make a business decision. I'm going down. You ain't finna
hit me. Yeah, man, so I self aware of self awareness.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
Allan said, Love, y'all show up. What do you think
of bow Nick so far? What players do you think
Broncos need to become leg legit super Bowl contenders?
Speaker 3 (47:11):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Joe, ps two versus one would be a show. Unfortunately
one getting clamped.
Speaker 3 (47:17):
Please?
Speaker 5 (47:20):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (47:22):
What it needs?
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Look, they need a corner another I like McMillan. I
like McMillan. I like the linebackers. Maybe another class rushing
d tackle, some offensive offensive lineman. I thought Javonte uh
would would would be better? Uh, but they kind of
like McLaughlin. But I think some offensive line show up
(47:47):
that offensive line to make sure bow is protected. Uh,
tight end, get a tight end? I mean they got guys.
Speaker 1 (47:56):
Can you imagine? Can you imagine if if they find
a tight end in the in the in the draft.
I'm not sure if there's one that that's as good
as rock Powers or even close.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Oh yeah, ain't no tiny that good this year is
no hell. Now rock Bibles got a chance to be
I'm about really special. I'm talking about he got a
chance to Hey, he got a chance. I mean he
gets now he's gonna take some lumps and bruises. He's
gonna take some lumps. He's gonna have some damn a
lot of l's unless they get a quarterback in there.
But he got a he got he got gold jacket potential. Yeah, absolutely,
(48:25):
he got gold jacket potential. Isaiah lancash Uk and O
Joe with the Bills versus the Lions, game determined if
Josh locks up the m v P and can Buffalo
bounce back?
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Yes, Uh.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
The Lions keep losing players every single week. On the
defensive side of football, I think the secondary can be had.
I do think the secondary can be had. Offensively, they're
really good, especially on that fast turf. Now you think that,
you think the Rams, You better be on your best
behavior because there are another team that can put forty
up on your ass in the blink of an eye.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
Yeah, and I think I think you know what, I
also think I think the Bills the oh Man, I
think it's too much. It's too much firepower. It's too
much firepower. Not only do you have to deal with
amm Ros Saint Brown and Jamison Williams, you have to
deal with that god damned two headed muscle and that
god damn backfield and Montgomery and Jamier Gibbs. You know, boom,
It's only listen, Josh Allen can only put on that
(49:21):
cake for so long. He can only put on that
cake for so long and do what he needs to
do offensively. But it's it's the same thing what they
just had to deal with with the goddamn Rams. Yeah,
same thing. You got pooping the cool going crazy. What
you think goddamn Amar and Rock gonna do what you
think James and Williams is gonna do, and that there's
there're two different type of animals.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
And if one guy is gonna work the middle of
the field and work under these stuff, Jameis and Williams
looking to take the top off it. You got Tim
Patrick who slid, You got Laporter, you got the two
headed monster in the back of you.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
Man, it's too much. And they got a way better
offensive line than the Rams. Oh yeah, it's tis yeah, man, Yes,
he must to deal with.
Speaker 3 (50:00):
They got ragged.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
Now they got Glass. Now they got Glass. Now they
got a uh yeah, they got Fate Sue, they got Decker.
I think Decker is still injured. Oh they loaded.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
They're really, really, really really good.
Speaker 3 (50:13):
Big time so. But Josh can put on that cake.
He can single handle it, win your game. He's that good.
I can't wait to see that game. That game? What
is that? That thirst day? Did they play Marquis jamb Gambino, Gambini?
What's up? Ochio?
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Do you think the NFL would ever have an NFC
AFC playoff? It could be a chance to see through NFC. No,
that's why they split it up. Just like you got
Eastern in the Western Conference, we got Al in the
n AL.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
Read the why Uh No, I don't think so. I
think they like this.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
They like Look, the game is competitive, the conferences are competitive.
The Pro Bowl was some trash. And you see what
they're trying to do with the NBA All Star Game,
because ain't nobody want to see no. Two hundred points
scored in the All Star Game? They got it, they
got They got to incentivize it a little bit more.
How do you incentivize it forgot damn multi millionaires that
(51:10):
can make the kind of money and being players.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
Make why I got incentivize it, don't yo.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
Because it's it's called an All Star Game for a reason.
And when you're playing the All Game, it's the middle
and you already making one hundred thousand and them boys
chilling man.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
Yes, that's the problem.
Speaker 2 (51:27):
I mean, look at and everybody quick dollar Jordan Toby Okay,
well b Jordany Kobe the All Star Game.
Speaker 3 (51:35):
Be Elijah Wan in the.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
All Star Game and do that they played? They played
for real, bro do that, y'all quicked off? I love
that mentality. Oh, y'all love their mentality when they played
the regularly, y'all what about All Star Game?
Speaker 3 (51:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (51:48):
Yeah, times of change.
Speaker 3 (51:50):
It was the same thing. The Pro Bowl used to
be competitive.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
I'm not saying we approached it like we're playing a
regular season game, but there was actually tackling. I knew,
and I said, and people got upset me. I said, Oh,
the owner's gonna be mad at this. Oh they're not
going to pay all this money to go there and
play two head touchs. Oh no, yeah yeah yeah, nah
nah no. I said, I'm telling you, they're gonna change it.
I said, y'all better pick it.
Speaker 3 (52:12):
Up.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
They gave y'all every opportunity, and y'all didn't want to
hit nobody. Football is still tackling, oh joe. Yeah, I mean,
there ain't nowhere around it.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Listen, we go to the Pro Bowl. Now, listen, I played,
I played it during the air, I played during that ara.
Now then the first three quarters now were bullshit.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
But you still tackle, y, We still tackle.
Speaker 1 (52:32):
But Ray, we get to that fourth quarter and Ray say,
all right, now it's time to go.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
Man.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
We still we started playing for real because we want
to win that game.
Speaker 3 (52:43):
We need that check.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Don't go to the spell and they make it seventy
five one hundred thousand. Oh joe, it was ten thousand
to the winners, five thousand to the losers.
Speaker 3 (52:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
Now imagine you done brought guest over because you come
over there, you're coming for the whole week. Yeah, it's
the only way to pay it back. You got to
win that game, yes, and you and you and you
left with a deficit. Some people brought their whole family.
They bought mom, they bought their laws.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
Mm hmm. That's what happened to the Hall of Fame game.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
They changed the rules and had it in the stadium
because they used to have it on the doorsteps.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
Jim Kelly brought a thousand guests. What a thousand like? Serious?
A thousand? I don't even know a thousand people.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
If you go through your phone on your and you
and everybody's in your phone and every and they family man,
you couldn't name a thousand people.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
I definitely can't because I know how many contacts I
have in my phone. I only have forty seven contacts
in my phone. I got a thousand. I ain't even
got to one hundred yet.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
To put Uh, Cufcake Mama said Shannon. What you know
about Monk's Corner in Somerville, South Carolina? I used to
be a deputy chef in that area. Well, uh, I
played with some guys in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
That was for me. My brother's in Columbia.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
So obviously Monk's Corner down there in the Charleston in
the Charleston area, some of itll some of it had
a very good football program.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
So I know.
Speaker 2 (54:26):
A little something, Cupcake Mama, little something Lamar Robinson underno Joe,

been letting you live for a long time. But there's
some things that you need to just say, you need
to be able to look at.
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
Do I really need this bag?
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Actually I don't. There are other bags that look like
that that can give you the same feel as if
it's a hermit.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
How much is it? It's only it's only thirteen, ain't it?
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
That crocodile, That crocodile, That crocodile. Three sixty five?
Speaker 3 (01:02:03):

Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
Three sixty five?
Speaker 3 (01:02:05):

Now it's like six, like forty five fifty.
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):

Speaker 1 (01:02:20):

I put that down, put my phone down. Wait how
much was it? One hundred and thirty?
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
That ain't nothing. Man's come on for you for you
come on big money.
Speaker 5 (01:02:43):
Come on, noo, bro, No hold on what one hundred
and thirty you just told us not long ago, three hundred,
three hundred forty thousand wasn't no money, remember I, Oh,
hold you there you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
Go, you take it. I said, that's not no money.
If you're trying to talk about it, last you a lifetime.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, that's some money.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
Yeah, but if I gave you three forty, could you
live the rest of your life off of three hundred
and forty thousand dollars? Me?
Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Hell no, yes, if I had two, Yes, I just live.
I live.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
I just live way below my mean, like, I ain't
got shit.
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
Hey, no, lady, ray lady, I'm surprised to you. Oh what,
Oh it's a Tuesday associate at the bar. Ain't no
bars open on Tuesday night. But it's the weekend Saturday.
We never hear from me, lady or Thursday. Hey, guys,
since it's the middle of the holiday seeson, what's your
favorite holiday tradition or if you don't have one, is
there one you like to start.
Speaker 3 (01:03:38):
Tradition?
Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
I mean it's the same. I wouldn't even consider a tradition.
It's just it's family time, it's the holidays, you know. Yeah,
my favorite, my favorite Christmas music Man, Christmas Music is
something about that Nat King Cole, You know that, Mariah
Carey Jackson five Christmas albums. Sam Smith, who I think
(01:04:02):
might have been in twenty fourteen, he released a Christmas
album Man Just Frank Sinatra has a Christmas album. I
just love hearing that music. Man having all the kids
home from college, having everybody up under one roof.
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Yeah, that's what I meant.
Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
I mean I missed like when were growing up and everybody,
all my cousins and my uncles and aunts would come
over to my grandmother's house in the afternoon, and you know,
I missed that.
Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
I mean, we hadn't had that. I mean, I hadn't
had the fender around my fast. I can't.
Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
I'm trying to think the last time that all my
family was together for like Christmas has probably been.
Speaker 3 (01:04:42):
I don't know, Joe in a minute, it ain't been.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
Yeah, oh yeah, because you know, when you play sports,
you're not you know, you're not really around. I mean sometimes,
you know, sometimes I get the kids and sometimes their
mom had the kid. If I got them for Thanksgiving,
them mom was getting them for Christmas. If I got
him for Christmas, then mom was getting for Thanksgiving. So
but I'm saying, like all my family, I mean he
probably talking about thirty forty years on yo, damn. Yeah, yeah,
(01:05:07):
I mean earlier in my career, Uh my mom my
mom would come for Christmas. Like she's like, I'm going
to see my babies for Christmas. She wouldn't go to
my mom's. And you know, sometime my sister, My sister
came a couple of times. But after that they're like,
you'll be grown ass, you you you you you big
enough to be by yourself, right, so you know, and
I understood because I'd rather than be with granted, than
(01:05:29):
come out there and get on my nerves and talk
about have me running up and down the road getting
stuff to eat.
Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
What you got you ain't got nothing to eat? Go
get me this, go get me there. I was uber
waiting for uber.
Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
I was door dashed, waiting for door dashing because nobody
wanted the same thing. I got to go stop by
this place and go way across town and get that.
Y'all ain't got no soul food. No, it ain't nothing
close by. So I would like, you know, that was
my tradition of the family getting together and so uh.
Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
That that family dynamic, every and every sing and so
I've tried my best to keep it going as far
as family tradition is concerned, you know, having all the
kids there. Ever since Grandma passed away, ever since my
mom passed away.
Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
It's just it's hard to keep those traditions together.
Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
Man, not the same, it's exact same, especially once my
grandma passed. Man, and you know, she was.
Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
You know, the one, she was the glue that hold
it all together, headed all together.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
So once that foundation that, once that foundation cracked, it
ain't it ain't been the same yet. And I've been
trying to to start to start that up again. It's boy,
it's hard. It's really hot.
Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
I know, you know, because you know that was the thing,
and you know, I remember, well my grandmother passed. That
was the last time that all of us had gotten together, right,
And my grandmother passed in twenty eleven, so all my cousins,
you know, my aunts and uncles, that was the last time.
Like well you know, uh, you know my sister the
oldest on that side of the family. And it's like, literally,
(01:07:03):
you ought to start it back that win, win it
out the other. That's my sister. See her is the thing.
People don't know. My sister is more anti social than
I am. She don't do nothing. Church and back home.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
That's it. Lib what you do today.
Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
I went around the block, I took a ride out
to the country and came back and pulled my car
in the garage and let the garage down in my
house watching TV.
Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
That's what that's what that's what you do with your
so uh Jr. Said.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
Watch collection is saying, I see those different downs, what's
your favorite watch brand? Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
I kind of have something, you know, I like uh Petack,
I like ap Rollie.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
Uh. I'm probably gonna look at the ft showing. I
mean I like watching I don't. I mean I just
basically have Rolexes, uh aps and Protects. I don't have
a Vacheron, I don't have a phe I don't have Fpjoin.
You know, I used to have Frank Mueller, but just
the three the three big guns. But I got got
(01:08:16):
my eye on something. I'm waiting waiting because well, it's
hard to get those off catalogs because you know, our
catalog is something that only there there there there there
people that have spent X amount of dollars with them,
so it's not like they're gonna offer it to me.
Uh And so so I'm trying to build up my
(01:08:37):
collection and it's not easy because a lot of times,
you know, they want you to buy, you know, ten
stuff that and you still you're still not assured of
being able to get it.
Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
So it is what it is. I'll pick and choose,
and sometimes you have to pay over retail. You just
have to pay over retails.
Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
Just like a car.
Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Sometimes don't show. You can't get on the list for
a car. Somebody have a car and you got to pay,
you know, oversticker to get it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
It is what it is. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
