Speaker 1 (00:00):
KSI is potentially given Jake Paul some credit which I
didn't think I'd ever see for taking the Anthony Joshua fight.
There's a Sidemen segment with Vick, Star, Harry Ethan, and
KSI where they talk about Jake and aj and I'm
curious as to what they have to say about the fight.
KSI apparently given props see what it means a breakdown.

(00:20):
Let's go, guys, real quick. Let me step in and
tell you guys.

Speaker 2 (00:24):

thank me later because they are ridiculously good. They get

(01:38):
a first Form for sponsoring this video. And now let's
get back into the breakdown.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yeah, and you know.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
What, I'm going to give him props fast. I mean,
AJ should knock him out.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
It is a weird, like, am I just being stupid?

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Like?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Is he not just gonna wig him by soap being
dropped in prison AJ by Brutal Bonnie Blue Scene Jesus
Brutal Body, Blue Seed by.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Just Summit vile. But obviously right, what's happening?

Speaker 5 (02:19):
What they're both going to get so much fucking Cashola. Yeah,
eating legitimises Jake even more.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Well, not really, I mean we're just gonna see him.
I mean no, it does.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
It does.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Guess I doesn't want to, man, He's like, ah, I
don't know about that. He doesn't want to fully go there.
But the thing is, there really is only one outcome
that can hurt Jake in this scenario, and that's that
he gets viciously knocked out, or he gets beat up
really bad for eight rounds and then viciously knocked out.
I Sawna Kisa talking on Ariel Hawani Show today about this,

(02:53):
about like how it's not necessarily something they're worried about
that Jake gets knocked out because he's not afraid of
the one punch knockout as much as he's afraid of
like Jake getting beat up for eight rounds badly and it,
you know, causing some real cognitive damage. And this there
is science behind the fact that the more repeated head
trauma is the more dangerous thing about pro boxing because

(03:14):
those gloves you can get hit, you get eight to
ten seconds to stand and you can repeat it two
three times in the same fight, just absorbing punch after punch.
So in the totality of Jake getting like knocked out cold,
is that the worst thing possible for his health? I mean,
who knows, dude, you could have a freaking brain aneurysm
when you get hit off one shot from a guy
like AJ again knock on wood. You don't want to

(03:35):
see any of that happen. The risk is inherent that
he gets absolutely like flat line and something bad happens.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
That's that's the reality of every fight.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Don't want to dismiss it, like, oh yeah, Jake can
just go get knocked out and it doesn't matter. People
are kind of acting like that, like, oh yeah, Jake,
just get knocked out. Who cares he's getting a bag. Yeah,
but there's still gonna be some residual massive trauma hematoma
potential from a guy like AJ knocking you out flat.
I know that France has gotten out and came back
in one of the PFL but Jake's not two sixty skull,
not as big, although he has a head like a

(04:05):
fucking pit.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Bull, but still him even stepping up to.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
Times World Championship Joe fight in the world that's more
credible than a not even because it more his weight,
like you'll fight the fucking heavyweight heavyweight. It's also like,
like the way I see it, I think a j
and his team he's not fighting for titles again, like

(04:34):
world titles.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Again, Well do you think it's a lose.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
I don't know that that's necessarily true for Ethan, Like
right now he's not fighting for world titles, but aj
potentially could fight for a world title in the future
because Usik is now dropping belts, He's probably gonna drop
a couple of those world titles.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
If it's still close twelve rounds.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Yeah, surely you've got a confidence to know that, Like,
I'm gonna bum him.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
I will not be to view that.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
That is the biggest hood on a hoodie I think
I've ever seen in my life. I looks like one
of the helmets from Spaceballs.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Dude, what is that paid to? What's a good? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
But the thing is I think that they know that
a lot of people watch every Jake Paul fight appreciate
and we can deliver that that devastating.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
It's still a.

Speaker 5 (05:22):
Clipp with of knocking out Jake Paul if it happens.
But then I just don't get it.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
I don't get even happened. Yes, it's money, and I
heard Eddie. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Eddie Herd today said AJ was going to make the
most or the second most he's ever made as a boxer,
which is fucking crazy. AJ has been in heavyweight title fights,
two of which with us Klitchko. He's fought in some
of the most marquee places, sold them out, and the
second highest gate or the second biggest pay day he'll
make is with Jake Paul.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
That's the that's the craziest thing.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
Let's say that fights gets brutally knocking.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Because he go tople the heavyweight fucking ex heav jump.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
People will watch him against because you could lose the first.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Round bot knockout And.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
For sure I agree cas I was thinking, Oh, if
he gets knocked out by AJ, the career is over
because you don't have again unless he's like actually physically
harmed in a way that he can't recover from. Like
if his career ends because AJ fucking hurts him badly,
then yes, But if it's a knockout where Jake is
able to then continue fighting, people will still watch. It
may not be as big as the AJ fight, but

(06:31):
he still has an opportunity.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
To make money in boxing.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Again, the only way it wouldn't be the case is
if Jake got like permanently injured from this fight, which
is part of the reason that they take this fight
is because Jake doesn't really have anything to lose here
outside of again the bodily harm. You know, you fight
a guy like Tommy Fury again, which I want to see.
I think is more competitive, but doesn't bring the eyes
that aj does. So again, this is the entertainment business,
and these Netflix fights are made for a massive audience.

(06:55):
But you lose to Tommy Fury again, even by decision
that deflates Jake more than a knockout from Anthony Joshua.
I lost a ks I deflates Jake Moore than I
lost to Anthony Joshua. This is a perfect even even
if Jake would have gotten just schooled by Gervonte Davis,
it would have deflated him more than than a knockout.
I think, yeah, it's a lot of risk, a lot
of reward, but as far as your marketability, as long

(07:17):
as you don't get permanently injured, which is a big
if you can keep doing.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
This as a big guys crazy, I'm.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Trying the face of yeah minimumlle Well, AJ's six six, dude,
this is before they faced off.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
But Aj is six to six.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
He's got the reach, he's got the length, he's got
the power.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
But he wins on every line.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
Logan had most stoughts against you. I know it's not.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I'm not even fucking close to the same thing. Vick Star.
I love you, but don't you dare.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Ever open your fucking mouth and say that ship again, buddy.
This man said, yeah, but Logan Paul had a lot
of attributes on you. KSI, shut your delusional ass up.
You're talking about Anthony Joshua What This is why the
Sidemen don't need to do boxing segments on the pod, Bro.
They need to just let KSI say what he's gonna
say and move on to like, Hey, what's new in Minecraft?

(08:17):
Or who's the impostor or whatever the fuck whatever it
is that they do.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Don't don't go here, Bro.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Like Shorty, I'm think I take the world. Like I know,
he's obviously his head. He's gonna b like he's well,
champion's really good. But Shorty, he's gonna find you can't
he can't be legitimately thinking I want to win isn't
that where he's going.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
He's trading thinking, yeah, I'm gonna fucking know this. I
think you have to.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Here's the thing, man, people believe Jake has this ulterior
motive to fights, and they just haven't accepted the reality
that he's batshit crazy and they the sidement of all
people should know because KSI has gotten into boxing improved
a lot of people wrong.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
And I know it's aj, but they.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Have to know that when Jake signs to fight, he
legit thinks he's gonna win. How do people not realize
this by now? How do they not understand it?

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Again?

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I disagree with him, but Jake is not getting in
there going well, I'm gonna go get knocked out for
a cash, you know, a bag. That's not how he
approaches this stuff.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Now.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
It doesn't mean that he's gonna win, but that's not
ks I doesn't do that. People get that wrong. That's
the one thing where I'm like, y'all, just y'all don't
get it. And I've heard this about Jake and KSI
even for years, and it's why people sleep on him,
and it's why guys take them lightly, and it's why
they end up beating more people than they should.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
You have to be that although why you are got
put to sleep. If you have a doubt and that
ring you got.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
You have to be that deluded. You can't even have
any you can beat.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
I think also the amount of money that's probably ganged
for this fight because Netflix, so that like.

Speaker 5 (09:42):
We need this is but Jake was gonna get fifty
mili to fight Dravonte Davis.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
This is why I don't understand the whole Oh, it's
just for the money. It's just for the money, dude.
He was about to get forty to fifty mil to
fight Dravante in an exhibition. This isn't just for the money.
He didn't have to take AJ the toughest challenge possible
just for the money.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
In the year, we need something, Yeah, and Javonta Davis
is out. We've got nothing left. We can't have. You
find someone that's blow on today's Davis. So they're like,
AJ is there, he's down, Are you gonna do it
for this many millions? And then he's off. I feel
to guess like fifty plus million.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yeah, well, j Yeah, who's got more? No, AJ did
not get more than Jake for this fight. No shot.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Again, you're in a bubble if you think that aj
is a more popular person in the world that's going
to bring more eyes to this than Jake. He will
bring a lot of eyes, but he's not more well known.
It's just the reality of the situation.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Shake's gonna get paid more.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Jake is the A side, and Anthony josh was gonna
get a handsome fee, but he is not. He's not
what people think as far as the main pay per
view draw. It's a big draw because of AJ. I
will agree, but Jake is the A side for a
reason here, all right. So something to add on to
everything that we talked about today, I'm in a different shirt,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
I took a break, came back.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
There is also an interview that Aeril Hawani did with
Tyron Woodley where Tyron Woodley doesn't go as far as
saying Jake will beat Anthony Joshua, but he's not thinking
about this fight and the way the rest of us
are talking about how Jake potentially is going to just
get absolutely annihilated or that he doesn't have really a shot
in hell at winning this. And I thought it was
interesting someone that has fought Jake before talking about his

(11:23):
chances versus Anthony Joshua.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Let's take a look at this.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
I want to I want to try to maintain a
bit of unbiasedness when I talk about this fight with
Jake and aj and if there is anything that I'm missing,
be able to look at it in a different.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Lens from somebody that's been in there with Jake. Let's
take a look.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
He has a chance, Jake.

Speaker 6 (11:42):
I mean, people think I'm crazy, but they yelled at
me when I said I thought the fight with him
and Aniston was even. Remember I said that everybody went
crazy on me for saying I thought that fight was even.
I don't think this fight is even. I do think
that Anthony Joshua was as a better boxer. I think
he has more power, but I don't think there's no

(12:04):
chance yet can win.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
I think that's a pretty reasonable take. Now, again, I
shouldn't have to say that this is a completely different
fight from Jake, Paul and Anderson Silva, who at the time, yes,
that was a real challenge for Jake, and he had
already beaten Julio Caeser Chavez Junior, and Jake was still
relatively new to the sport, but it wasn't crazy to
think that Jake was going to have a chance to
win that fight. Anderson Silva was forty eight, I think

(12:26):
are forty seven. He was not a traditional boxer, and
while the weight was somewhat similar, Jake was a young
man still growing into this sport. Whereas Aj, I mean, again,
we have to list the differences. He's a natural two
hundred and sixty pounder. In fact, I think reports are
that right now he weighs two hundred and sixty five pounds.
He's gonna have to cut to forty five. I don't
know that that's going to be very easy to do

(12:46):
in a matter of you know, three weeks, four weeks
yere that we have, which is crazy, we're less than
a month away.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
But that's not the same fighter.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
And what Tyron Woodley says is, yeah, Aj is the
better boxer, he is the more experienced boxer, he is
the more powerful guy. He has ever every single physical
attribute advantage possible. So he should win. And it shouldn't
be really even considered that Jake Paul would have more
than a slim chance. But you can't rule out a chance,
even though I think we're talking one to two percent. Here,

(13:14):
we're talking hail Mary from the God's right hand or
I don't know, a super super tentative jab heavy Win.
I couldn't even see that, to be honest with you,
How are you going to outjab a guy with that
much of a reach advantage on you and who also
has a good jab for himself. So I don't know
if I read too much into the decision Jake Win,
I don't see how that can go his way. But

(13:35):
I do think that there's a very very very small
chance that the right hand as AJ gets a little
lackadays ago, and potentially that could change the fight. Outside
of that, AJ should win this going away. But that's
all I got for today. Man, We're gonna keep covering
this thing as we get closer and closer. We only
he minus three weeks, three and a half weeks away
from this fight. We have Misfits Mania in Dubai on

(13:57):
December twentieth. A ton of stuff coming your way point
till then, including a massive interview I'm working on. I'm
talking big boy interview. Stay tuned for that. I can't
say too much about it yet, but it's gonna be
potentially channel changing shattering, and we'll get to that as
we get further into this. But what happens in this
Jake AJ fight? Can Jake actually do it? Can he

(14:19):
find the one hidden spot to land the right hand
from the gods? Is this a change of heart from
KSI given Jake some credit and starting to be potentially
Jake Paul Glazer after all the years y'all called me that?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
And what do you think.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
About the idea of this fight being potentially one of
the biggest this year, if not the biggest this year?
Is that fight bigger than Anthony Joshua Tyson Fury. I'll
let you guys decide in the comments. What happens next
December nineteenth in Miami with Jake Paul AJ.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Don't have those answers, but I guess we'll find out

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
