Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, folks, breaking news.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
We are back on the Way concept presented by The
Ring Magazine, and today The Ring Magazine has announced the
headliner for their Ring six card on January thirty first,
twenty twenty six. We've been hearing from Turkey Allas Shake
that twenty twenty six is going to be a big
time year for the Ring Magazine and they're starting it
off with a bang, as they have for the Ring

(00:24):
Magazine and WBO Junior Welterweight titles. It will be d
Fimo Lopez versus Shakor Stevenson January thirty first, live onto
his own. This one is one of the best fights
we can make in boxing. We've heard for a while
now this is a fight being worked on and being made,
and now it's official, so it's time to break it down.

(00:44):
Let's go. This is an interesting matchup for a lot
of reasons. Number one, we know that Schakor Stevenson is
one of the most technically gifted and sound boxers in
the world, and he can make you miss and make
you pay. Mostly he'll make you miss, make you look silly,
and I'll box you one the way to a twelve
round decision. You've seen his record, he's twenty four to zero.

(01:06):
Not the heaviest of hands, eleven knockouts. We know he's
had problems with his hands, but in this matchup, specifically,
it's going to be a chess match. This is not
a fight you watch to see two brawlers go at it. Now,
anything can happen. We just watched Devin Haney drop Brian
Norman Junior. After thinking, okay, the ways in which Devin
Haty can win this fight are strictly by decision, moving
his feet, getting on his jab and fighting defensive two offensive,

(01:28):
and Brian Norman the only way he can probably win
is by knocking Devin Haney out.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
That isn't what we saw.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
We saw Devin Haney step on the front foot for
some of that fight and drop Brian Norman. So you
don't really know what can happen here. But you would
expect Chakor to be defensive too offensive. You'd expect tia
Fimo to be. I mean, he kinda does the same
thing to a degree, but he's a little more offensive.
I don't expect either got to commit super heavy and
get tagged by something or put themselves in massive danger.

(01:54):
But this is going to as Shakur said, show the
levels of boxing, especially at one forty and can we
just appreciate, by the way, not only these two fighters
for accepting this fight in the prime of their careers,
but the Ring Magazine continues to put on these events
where we're having fighters across the world, the best of
them fight the best at the right time. It's not
the best fighting the best when they're in their mid
thirties or pushing into their forties. But we're fighting Chakor

(02:17):
and TiO at one hundred and forty pounds with a
lot of things on the line, including Teo's belts, including
Chakor trying to become a four division world champ, including
pound for pound rankings, and the fact that we've always
wanted to see these guys or a version of these guys,
whether it's Chakor versus TiO, Chakor versus you know, the
other Big four, Jervonte Davis, Ryan Garcia, Devin Haney. We

(02:39):
wanted to see these matchups, and we were promised these matchups.
As these guys started to take more and more difficult fights,
we're starting to see a version of what boxing really
should be. The prime best against best and Let's see
what happens. They're close enough in weight probably honestly, I
think Chaquor is probably bigger than tia Fimo. Seeing them
in person, I know TiO is very ripped, but he's
you know, a little shorter in stature. Let's see what

(03:00):
Shakor had to say about the matchup.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Only thing that gets under my skin with Teo, I
would say, is his delusion.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
He's very delusional in sense. Would you say it's a
good delusional.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
He actually believes he is the greatest thing that boxing
has ever created. It's a good delusional. But for me,
it's like, shit, I'm in your way, So what's your
great delusional thinking? How you gonna deal with another guy
that feels the same exact way? And it's an interesting thing.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I mean, that is an interesting way to look at
this matchup. Chakor feels almost slided that Tiafimo Lopez feels
he's the best boxer in the world, and I love that.
That's the competitive spirit I'm looking for. What saying without
saying it there is just that he's a competitor and
he doesn't like that someone else thinks they're the best
in the world while he exists around or in the
same weight class, which is part of the same delusion

(03:53):
that Shakor needs. It's the same thing I talk about
with all great fighters, really great athletes, as they possess
a level of delusion that allows them to believe they're
the best at what they do on the planet and
there is no reservations about that. Like I I agree
with Shakor that Teo legitimately thinks he's the best boxer
in the world and has no reservations about it, like
no doubt in his mind. Same with Shakor though, And
that's why these fights are so crucial to have right

(04:15):
now because we're gonna get a definitive answer.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
We're gonna get an answer on.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Who is the best at this weight class and potentially
top five pound per pound in the world. So Justice
Chakur says that Tiafimo's delusional. Shakur has that same delusion.
It's what propels both of them to the highest degree.
Now Here was them facing off a couple of months ago.
I think at this point, and this is what I
was talking about, Shaquur is in stature the bigger guy,

(04:39):
which is crazy because he fights at the lower weight.
Uh he's a bit more skinny, obviously, but now he's
coming up to one forty and it feels like Tiffi
Malopez can't go much bigger than one forty. I've heard
him talk about going to one forty seven. That would
be the highest I would think Teo should go. But uh,
here's their face up?

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Oh quick?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Is he should be in the middle?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah, Like, these dudes don't hate each other, and you
don't necessarily have to. There are certain fights where that
level of venom is needed and it's welcome, and I'm.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Sure as we get closer to the.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Fight, their competitive spirit will come out. They will obviously
talk their shit, and either guy will will make the
case that they're the best in the world, and that'll
be the competitive nature of both of them. But you
don't have to physically hate someone to fight them, all right.
So here's where they were talking back and forth in
a heated debate with the Ring magazine. Here is chakor
an tia Fimo arguing their points on why they're the

(05:37):
best and how they're going to show it. This was
again a couple months ago. We all knew this was coming,
but finally the deal just got done.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
What do you expect to fight against a guy like that?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Like you said, Teo is the truth, I'm the truth.
We came up in amateurs together. We used to win
every tournament together. I don't see nobody beating me and
I can't wait to make the fight happy.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yo.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Yeah, we'll happened the same thing. You've never thought anyone
like to Courte Stevenson. Like Lomachenko was amazing, but his
defense at that point was not Chouquurse Stevenson. He's not
the same age, he doesn't have the same length. What
are you thinking about that challenge?

Speaker 1 (06:14):
No, I wouldn't say that.

Speaker 6 (06:15):
I think that is just different when you're in the
ring with me.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
I think after years of doing this, there's always room
for improvement, and that's what I.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Focus on most importantly.

Speaker 6 (06:25):
You know, this is a man that is well known
with patterns, well known with his defense.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
He's focused on that.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
You know, sometimes the best defense creates that that better offense,
you know, so to speak.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
So you know, it'll be great.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
To see what I could do with a guy like
Chaquie Stevenson. You know they call him sugar. So let's
see how I can make it sweet, sugar.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
If I can make it sweet, ain't having a game?
What happened? I thought it was sugar?

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Of course, ain't none of that.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Each other though, the sugar.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
This is what I like about both guys is that
t O obviously is gonna say some such ship from
time to time and try to rattle his opponents by
just being a goof. But I like this back and forth, Like, yes,
they know each other very well from the amateurs. They
can beat it in tournaments alongside each other, never against
each other. So this will bring out a different side
of both of them. But it'll be interesting this build

(07:17):
up with the different personalities, how it'll go, because Tal's
gonna say some wild shit, and I think Saker is
going to keep it more boxing. But you know Tal's
gonna try to rattle them.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Either it's a sparing session or it's brutal.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
No sparing session. There's not gonna be no sparing session.
He got he's coming to win. I'm coming to win.
I guarantee that I'm coming to conquer. You're not conquering.
You're not congress.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Between you and Bud Crawford, I don't want to hit
that we hit for this, We hit right, Skor and
Mike Cobba's arrivalry continues.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
We here for all that Mike shut up.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
But okay, so that that is one of the worries
I will say of the fan base is like, how
does a fight stylistically go between Shakur and TiO Because
they're both very technical, both guys understand the sweet science
and fight very smart. No one takes a ton of risks.
Teo does have a bit more pop in his shots
and can put you down. But if you take the
risk of making a massive mistake versus a guy like Shakur,

(08:15):
then Shakur will will outbox you, outclash you, and take
you into deep water. So we'll see stylistically, we'll see
how this thing goes. Because I don't see a super
over aggressive Fimo Lopez.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I don't see that.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I don't see Shakour getting too out of pocket with
him either. But we will have I think, a very
very high skill, high level boxing match.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
I'll be honest, I don't be real honest. He was
a lot better younger when he was younger, especially at
the j os Yo. All right, yeah, he was mad nice.
You don't think he developed enough power or something said
about the power.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
I think that he just focused in too much on
one arsenal.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
But the defense defense, defense.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Oh yo, don't tell me too much because I don't
want you to say that you told me the game plan,
you gave this.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
OU don't want no excuse to something.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
Don't call Crossford. I could give him back. I can
tell him all the game plans and everything. Because a
true master and anything in boxing the sport, you gotta
master yourself.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You gotta learn how to beat yourself.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
So if I give you all the tools on how
to beat me and I beat you, I.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Already not to beat you. Nobody beat me. I already
not to beat you.

Speaker 6 (09:21):
All Right, Well, you guys, tune in or at least
twenty twenty season.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
It's going down.

Speaker 6 (09:26):
Chaquau, stevensoning TiO, Female Lopez, sugar and sweet.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
We're gonna make it nice and pretty for you all.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
This is gonna be hilarious build up. But you hear
some important information there. You hear see Femo say, you know,
I don't really know what he was trying to get at,
but like, if you're a master of boxing, you know
how to beat yourself. Uh, but what he I guess
means is like, you better know your own weaknesses if
you think you can beat me. Because I know my
own weaknesses, I've worked on them. And essentially TiO saying,

(09:52):
Shakhori your one dimensional or at least you focus too
much on one aspect of boxing, and yes, he is
talking about Shakhor's defense and not the to be offensive
out of the defensive posture and just working on catch counters,
or just working on role counters, or just being able
to be good enough offensively to let his defense control
a fight where Teo says I have everything. I can

(10:12):
be offensive, I could be defensive, but Scha course says
I already know how to beat you. And to be
fair to Chakor, Teo has been beaten before, Chakor has not,
so there is a game plan at least from the
Cambosas fight how you beat tia Fimo Lopez, although there
was a lot going on there, the heart problem whatever.
This will be a massive test for both guys, and
both guys are talking super confident. Both guys are super confident,

(10:34):
which will make this fight a banger, one of the
best fights you can make in boxing. Again, stylistically, we'll
see how it goes. But this is the type of
fight you need. This is needed in the sport, guys
that are at the top of their game, fighting and
determining once and for all. Not because you waited until
you were thirty five and you held on to this

(10:54):
specific belt and could call yourself a world chap But
who really is the best in the world, point blank period?

Speaker 1 (10:59):
I love it you guys.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Let me know what you think down below. Who wins
this fight and why? January thirty first, twenty twenty six,
in New York City. I don't think they have a
venue yet, but when they do, when this fight's official,
what happens. I guess we'll find out.
